:01:00. > :01:21.Verse is a day of opportunity, I'd be where the permutations narrow. --

:01:22. > :01:31.a day where. The haze of confusion lifts. This is a day when a dream

:01:32. > :01:38.becomes reality. So real that you can almost reach out and touch it.

:01:39. > :01:47.This is a day to believe, to really believe. Now we have a chance. It is

:01:48. > :01:55.not about what you say, it is about what you do. What the goal.

:01:56. > :02:07.Absolutely brilliant. This is a date to be great and special. -- this is

:02:08. > :02:15.a day. This is a day of opportunity. A defining day. Hello.

:02:16. > :02:18.We've two games to bring you on this most pivotal of Premier League days.

:02:19. > :02:21.Alan Hansen and Didi Hamann played in many big games during their

:02:22. > :02:24.careers. We'll get their thoughts shortly. Swansea against Chelsea to

:02:25. > :02:27.come, but we start with Liverpool against Manchester City, a game that

:02:28. > :02:30.could decide the outcome of this season's title race. And it was an

:02:31. > :02:33.emotional Anfield as players and supporters remembered the 96

:02:34. > :02:34.Liverpool fans who lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster 25

:02:35. > :03:01.years ago. The minute's silence will start and

:03:02. > :03:25.end on the referee's whistle. SILENCE.

:03:26. > :03:36.CHEERING, APPLAUSE. From the silence to the sound of Anfield in full cry.

:03:37. > :03:44.The emotions of food bowl given full range for a day and the game of huge

:03:45. > :03:48.importance. -- football. The Premier League title will not be won today,

:03:49. > :03:55.but we could get the big clue as to whether it will eventually end up.

:03:56. > :04:01.Mamadou Sakho continues in defence, despite Daniel Agger's return to

:04:02. > :04:09.fitness. Steven Gerrard will have to be careful today. Today is the cut

:04:10. > :04:21.of beef or suspensions and pickings. One booking the will rule out the

:04:22. > :04:27.Liverpool captain. -- the cut off day for suspensions and bookings.

:04:28. > :04:30.For Manchester City, Captain Vincent Kompany is fit, despite a training

:04:31. > :05:04.ground skier. -- ground scare. Luis Suarez did not time that well.

:05:05. > :05:10.Mark Clattenburg has gone to his pocket for the first time today.

:05:11. > :05:17.Luis Suarez is furious that he has not been allowed to get away with

:05:18. > :05:19.the first one. Luis Suarez is laid. It is as simple as that. In most

:05:20. > :05:50.games, it would be a booking. Raheem Sterling keeps his cool,

:05:51. > :05:55.magnificently. What composure. Those in the stands cannot contain

:05:56. > :06:03.themselves. Quite rightly. Liverpool are a leading, 1-0. Luis Suarez

:06:04. > :06:06.inevitably involved in the build-up. He showed strength, and what the

:06:07. > :06:14.past two Raheem Sterling who sold dummies to them all. I thought at

:06:15. > :06:20.that point he might need the help of somebody else. But no. He makes

:06:21. > :06:30.space to leave himself with an open goal. It is his eighth goal of the

:06:31. > :06:55.season. It is the first of the day. Liverpool are happy. 19 years old.

:06:56. > :07:02.That was not quite as Yaya Toure would have liked. He was forced for

:07:03. > :07:08.their away from goal. Now he is heart. His hands around his left

:07:09. > :07:11.knee. Did something twist out of shape? Not quite how Yaya Toure

:07:12. > :07:30.would have wanted it. Daniel Sturridge. That was a great

:07:31. > :07:35.ball. What a chance that was. What does start to the gym regime

:07:36. > :07:45.Sterling has had. You would have banked on Daniel Sturridge at least

:07:46. > :08:38.Demichelis was game.

:08:39. > :08:41.Demichelis was How on earth was Steven Gerrard

:08:42. > :08:53.allowed the freedom of the penalty area? Into the goal by Martin

:08:54. > :08:59.Skrtel. Liverpool have a second. Liverpool have control. Maybe not

:09:00. > :09:07.just of this game, maybe the Premier League title. It was a simple goal.

:09:08. > :09:17.Martin Skrtel frees himself of Kompany byes-mac attentions. There

:09:18. > :09:25.are the ghosts. -- of Kompany's attentions. There is nothing that

:09:26. > :09:30.Joe Hart could do about that. The big Slovakian is on a run. It is the

:09:31. > :09:34.first time that he has scored against Manchester City. The other

:09:35. > :09:49.games both finished 2-2. Mamadou Sakho took a risk going on

:09:50. > :09:56.like that. Mark Clattenburg says it is a goal kick. It was risky. Look

:09:57. > :10:14.at that. He was nowhere near the ball, and Dzeko falls over him.

:10:15. > :10:31.David Silva, I glancing header, and a deflection for the corner. It was

:10:32. > :10:36.a good cross from Jesus Navas. Simon Mignolet has made a mess of it

:10:37. > :10:49.again. It is off the line, twice. Liverpool could do with half-time.

:10:50. > :10:58.Fernandinho. A great save from Simon Mignolet. He was alert. Fernandinho

:10:59. > :11:05.did make contact cleanly. It still needed a brilliant save. That was

:11:06. > :11:14.not quite so brilliant, but the defenders came to his aid.

:11:15. > :11:22.Luis Suarez goes down under the challenge of Demichelis. It is going

:11:23. > :11:27.to be a goal kick. Manchester City is around Mark Clattenburg. They

:11:28. > :11:31.say, if it is not a free kick, I do have got to punish the player for

:11:32. > :11:37.trying to influence your decision. It did not look like he touched him.

:11:38. > :11:40.With the referee have brandished a yellow card for that if you had not

:11:41. > :11:55.already booked Luis Suarez earlier in the game?

:11:56. > :12:03.Manchester City are back in the game! How many passes in that myth?

:12:04. > :12:12.It was really well worked. Expertly finished by David Silva. The game is

:12:13. > :12:23.far from finished. Mastery of the football from all in sky blue. David

:12:24. > :12:25.Silva makes it 2-1. It has been coming. Manchester City will now

:12:26. > :12:54.keep on coming. Dzeko cannot get there. Liverpool

:12:55. > :13:28.are rocking. Nerves are frayed and the game is on.

:13:29. > :13:40.Simon Mignolet cannot keep it out. Manchester City have pulled it back,

:13:41. > :13:44.from 2-0, it is now two -- two. Simon Mignolet, beaten at his near

:13:45. > :14:00.post. All the momentum is with the men in sky blue from Manchester. --

:14:01. > :14:06.it is now 2-2. It was David Silva who played it against Glen Johnson.

:14:07. > :14:14.Daly that is what wrong-footed Martin Skrtel and Simon Mignolet.

:14:15. > :14:20.What resolve his side have shown since have time. What a

:14:21. > :14:22.substitution, to take off Jesus Navas and throw on James Milner, who

:14:23. > :14:40.has been superb. Luis Suarez has gone down. There is

:14:41. > :14:44.no penalty. The Manchester City fans are furious with Luis Suarez. He

:14:45. > :14:52.smiles at them, and then the referee. Luis Suarez goes down

:14:53. > :14:57.cheaply. I tell you what, it is a penalty. Had it been anybody else,

:14:58. > :15:05.would Mark Clattenburg have given it?

:15:06. > :15:12.David Silva gets it but can't score! It is the best chance he has had

:15:13. > :15:17.yet. He put one way that looked much more difficult to execute than that.

:15:18. > :15:20.Have City missed the chance to turn it around to three points when it

:15:21. > :15:22.looked like they weren't getting any? And there was still a quarter

:15:23. > :15:47.of an hour to go. Vincent Kompany miskicked. Coutinho!

:15:48. > :15:56.Liverpool have their lead back, gifted to them by the Manchester

:15:57. > :16:00.City captain and crashed into the net by Philippe Coutinho. He is

:16:01. > :16:06.under all that. Vincent Kompany is under a cloud. All of the players,

:16:07. > :16:13.Mr Dependable, a player many rank as the world's best defender. But it is

:16:14. > :16:19.hapless slice at the ball. Coutinho had one chance to hit it and how

:16:20. > :16:26.well did he hit it? That is perfect. Joe Hart is never getting there.

:16:27. > :16:38.3-2, can render Rogers' Reds hold on this time? -- Brendan Rodgers'. This

:16:39. > :16:58.is the game of the season so far. Skrtel climbed highest of all. Moses

:16:59. > :17:03.runs it too close to Vincent Kompany. Henderson runs it too close

:17:04. > :17:09.to Nasri and then goes in. A free kick and what else? Red for Jordan

:17:10. > :17:14.Henderson. He went in rashly. No great argument from his Liverpool

:17:15. > :17:18.team-mates. He is overstretching, the boot is raised high and it goes

:17:19. > :17:22.over the ball and clatters into Samir Nasri. There weren't many

:17:23. > :17:27.complaints, they can't really be any. Well Manchester City asked a

:17:28. > :17:32.question later about the way Skrtel cleared this? I think they might. He

:17:33. > :17:38.has punished it away. It looks pretty deliberate. He is not looking

:17:39. > :17:42.at it, but he knows where his armies and he knows where the ball is.

:17:43. > :17:50.Manchester City would have found the draw far more beneficial. They would

:17:51. > :17:56.have taken it. I lied what a result for Liverpool, what a day in the

:17:57. > :17:59.Barclays Premier League -- what a result. Look at Steven Gerrard's

:18:00. > :18:05.phase, you would almost think this is the day the title is decided. But

:18:06. > :18:09.there will be more stories to tell before the race is completely run.

:18:10. > :18:13.That is how draining it is for the Liverpool skipper and his

:18:14. > :18:22.team-mates, pure raw emotion. They had it one, they gave it away, they

:18:23. > :18:24.had to win it all over again. What a day.

:18:25. > :18:29.It had pretty much everything, that. Yes, and we were brilliant, I

:18:30. > :18:33.have got to say. I think the performance of the players today and

:18:34. > :18:36.the composure they showed against an outstanding Manchester City team was

:18:37. > :18:44.incredible, really. Do you have any complaints with any decisions? No,

:18:45. > :18:48.no. It was a clear penalty from Skrtel, he has handled it in his

:18:49. > :18:54.box, but I don't think the result today was the fault of the referee.

:18:55. > :18:59.I think the teams made a very good work today in a difficult game. We

:19:00. > :19:05.go to Norwich, exactly the same again. We go together. We go again.

:19:06. > :19:10.I am lost for words at the moment, it is emotional. It is emotional,

:19:11. > :19:14.but we need to keep calm. Still four big games to come but that meant so

:19:15. > :19:17.much, especially when they got back into the game. You fear the worst at

:19:18. > :19:22.that point, but I think we have shown today that we are going to go

:19:23. > :19:26.to the wire, we want to go all the way. Nothing is one yet but that is

:19:27. > :19:30.probably the biggest statement we have made so far. Coming in today,

:19:31. > :19:34.the coach, the atmosphere, we couldn't even move. I was recording

:19:35. > :19:38.the fans singing and cheering. It was a great atmosphere again at

:19:39. > :19:41.Anfield and long may it continue, the fans continuing to supporters

:19:42. > :19:47.and hopefully we do the business the pitch. We have two games in hand, we

:19:48. > :19:53.can be just one point behind the par if we win them and we can be one

:19:54. > :19:57.point on top of Chelsea -- behind Liverpool. There is a lot of things

:19:58. > :20:01.that will happen between now and the end of the season. We will try to

:20:02. > :20:05.recover as soon as we can and win next Wednesday.

:20:06. > :20:09.It was a staggeringly good game, Premier League football at its

:20:10. > :20:13.finest. It was just a great game, pace, intensity, real quality unto

:20:14. > :20:19.exceptionally attacking minded teams delivering what was really a treat

:20:20. > :20:23.to watch. All of us predicted goals in this game because of the way both

:20:24. > :20:27.sides approach matches, but this was both teams hell-bent on winning,

:20:28. > :20:31.what football should be about. We weren't disappointed, this is the

:20:32. > :20:34.way they have played all season and it is the reason they got into the

:20:35. > :20:39.position to win the title. They play the same way today, it was a

:20:40. > :20:42.thrilling game with a lot of goal-scoring opportunities. It swung

:20:43. > :20:49.and threw a mistake, Liverpool won it. a busy day per Mark Clattenburg,

:20:50. > :20:54.decisions, decisions. He got one or two wrong, there were four or five

:20:55. > :20:59.penalty appeals. This one on Edin Dzeko, that is a stonewall penalty

:21:00. > :21:04.kick. He has missed the ball completely. This is the second one

:21:05. > :21:09.on Suarez. Vincent Kompany gets caught, he has got both hands on

:21:10. > :21:16.Suarez, on his chest, knocks him off balance. Again, a blatant penalty

:21:17. > :21:20.for me. Last one, the handball, Skrtel. The referee is close to it,

:21:21. > :21:28.but he obviously didn't see it. It is blatant handball and a penalty

:21:29. > :21:35.kick. And then the decision here. Demichelis and Suarez, Suarez has

:21:36. > :21:39.been booked? Did he die? No. -- did he died. We thought at the time

:21:40. > :21:44.there wasn't any contact but you can see he caught his left foot. At the

:21:45. > :21:47.way Liverpool played, breathtaking in the first half, a

:21:48. > :21:52.counterattacking style and the diamond in midfield, it is all

:21:53. > :21:55.working. Whenever questions have been asked against Everton or

:21:56. > :22:01.Arsenal at home, Tottenham at home, they have learned them away. The

:22:02. > :22:06.same today, the first 25 minutes. -- blown away. Flat back four, Steven

:22:07. > :22:09.Gerrard holding and then the next five, Raheem Sterling at the tip of

:22:10. > :22:14.the diamond and the rest of them go bombing forward. It is an explosion

:22:15. > :22:20.of pace that blows everyone away. It was no different in this match. 2-0

:22:21. > :22:25.up, conceivably it could have been three or four. So many chances. They

:22:26. > :22:30.have men behind the ball, Raheem Sterling is there, but you don't

:22:31. > :22:35.need precision passes. Flanagan just hoofs it. What a touch from Suarez.

:22:36. > :22:38.You have a Raheem Sterling through the middle, Suarez left, Sturridge

:22:39. > :22:43.Wright and Jordan Henderson, who can run up and down all day long in

:22:44. > :22:47.coming forward. And Man City are under real pressure, you can smell

:22:48. > :22:52.the fear. This time, Coutinho, great ball into Suarez, Raheem Sterling

:22:53. > :22:58.and storage are on their way. Defence into attack. -- Daniel

:22:59. > :23:06.Sturridge are on their way. Very close to scoring. This time, we

:23:07. > :23:13.circle Raheem Sterling and Flanagan is in possession. Raheem Sterling

:23:14. > :23:20.only has one thing in his mind, get past his man and so much pace. He is

:23:21. > :23:25.terrific, isn't he? It is unbelievable how many they can get

:23:26. > :23:30.forward so quickly. The goal is exactly the same, the first goal. We

:23:31. > :23:36.have him again at the tip of the diamond. He bombs past Suarez.

:23:37. > :23:40.Suarez started the game relatively poorly but this is brilliant. Shrugs

:23:41. > :23:46.off Demichelis, the next challenge, strong and a great ball into the

:23:47. > :23:50.space beyond. Hart shouldn't have come, Vincent Kompany gets it wrong

:23:51. > :23:53.and it is in the net. It is so difficult to play against and we

:23:54. > :23:57.have seen time and again in this run, when Liverpool sit back and hit

:23:58. > :24:02.on the break, it is very hard to keep them at bay. Manchester City

:24:03. > :24:05.turn things around, something happened at half-time, they were

:24:06. > :24:11.much better in the second half and came back with and style. They did.

:24:12. > :24:16.A lot was left to David Silva in the first half. Jesus Navas didn't play

:24:17. > :24:22.well, when he hasn't got space to run in behind, he can be very quiet.

:24:23. > :24:26.That was the case today and you have got to change things. When you can't

:24:27. > :24:30.go past players, you have to give the defender is something to think

:24:31. > :24:35.about. Within two minutes of James Milner coming on, the first thing he

:24:36. > :24:40.is going to do, he comes inside. He gets a bit of luck, there is a touch

:24:41. > :24:44.from Henderson and all of a sudden, Fernandinho is in. He played an

:24:45. > :24:49.instrumental hand in both goals. Coming inside again. Flanagan

:24:50. > :24:54.doesn't know whether to come or go and he gives Flanagan something to

:24:55. > :25:01.think about. And for the goal, the play is phenomenal. He is a very

:25:02. > :25:05.underrated player. A great 1-2 with Fernandinho and what about this for

:25:06. > :25:10.composure? Sliding it back to David Silva. Here, the other side of the

:25:11. > :25:16.pitch, a nice reverse pass into David Silva. A huge impact within 15

:25:17. > :25:22.-20 minutes. Milner made all the difference. He did. Jesus Navas

:25:23. > :25:26.against Flanagan was a mismatch. Flanagan has been sensational and he

:25:27. > :25:32.can't half put his foot in. Milner wasn't scared of him. City came back

:25:33. > :25:36.to 2-2, it was a real test of the Liverpool but they showed great

:25:37. > :25:41.resilience and character. I think in this run, the questions have all

:25:42. > :25:44.been asked before the match, Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham away,

:25:45. > :25:50.this is the first time the questions have been asked right in the middle

:25:51. > :25:54.of the match. City, 15 minutes before half-time and after that,

:25:55. > :25:59.were terrific. If this goes in, Aguero, this is at 2-2, this goes

:26:00. > :26:04.in, I don't know if they are going to come back. But two minutes later,

:26:05. > :26:13.this is a mistake beyond belief by Vincent Kompany. But the heat is

:26:14. > :26:16.terrific. Yes, a sensational finish by Coutinho, bending it around

:26:17. > :26:23.Zabaleta. Liverpool showed in the last 15 minutes that they can

:26:24. > :26:27.defend, how good they are defensively. A word on Steven

:26:28. > :26:34.Gerrard. You could see afterwards, that thing about "exactly the same

:26:35. > :26:40.against Norwich" . Steven Gerrard for such a long time has been Mr

:26:41. > :26:45.Liverpool, before Fernando Torres arrived, he was holding the team. He

:26:46. > :26:49.has won the Champions League, the FA Cup but the league has eluded them

:26:50. > :26:55.for such a long time. And you could tell at the end, what apart he has

:26:56. > :26:59.played in this run. Brendan Rodgers, the two of them have got

:27:00. > :27:03.that position for him using his now is in there. The impressive thing is

:27:04. > :27:07.the way they play, they commit some any men forward, they never look off

:27:08. > :27:14.balance and the way they create chances, commit players forward, he

:27:15. > :27:17.plays an impressive role not only on the pitch but telling the lads to

:27:18. > :27:21.calm down with another four games to go. That when gave Liverpool a

:27:22. > :27:26.5-point lead at the top, so it was over to Chelsea, the third team in

:27:27. > :27:30.the title race, and they came and Swansea.

:27:31. > :27:35.They say if you don't believe in yourself, no one well. I think now

:27:36. > :27:44.we have a chance of finishing first. We don't believe you, Jose. This is

:27:45. > :27:49.a Dave for positive thinking. This is the team that hammered Spurs,

:27:50. > :27:55.battered Arsenal. Europe's elite. This is a day to play like the

:27:56. > :28:00.champions you were, like the champions you could still be. This

:28:01. > :28:06.is a day of opportunity. A defining day.

:28:07. > :28:12.Steve Wilson was at the Liberty Stadium.

:28:13. > :28:16.The ground on which Chelsea have never won. Three visits, three

:28:17. > :28:21.draws. A game which they probably always knew they had to win, but now

:28:22. > :28:26.they know the Anfield resolve and that at this moment, Liverpool are

:28:27. > :28:30.five points clear -- the Anfield resolve. It is arguably as big for

:28:31. > :28:33.Swansea. Results could hardly have gone worse for them yesterday and

:28:34. > :28:38.they find themselves just three points above the bottom three.

:28:39. > :28:44.Swansea have only won eight league games all season. Garry Monk is

:28:45. > :28:49.looking for two more to stay up. Meet you's ankle injury keeps him

:28:50. > :28:54.out of -- Mitch you's. Chelsea's Eden Hazard is injured and Frank

:28:55. > :29:01.Lampard rested. Ramires returns from a ban to start and Demba Ba's reward

:29:02. > :29:02.for his winner against PSG is only his third Premier League start of

:29:03. > :29:12.the season. As at Anfield, as at Wembley, as at

:29:13. > :29:13.everywhere this weekend, the Liberty Stadium remembers the Hillsborough

:29:14. > :29:35.disaster 25 years ago. WHISTLE, CHEERING

:29:36. > :29:37.Chelsea's last winter in Swansea was in 1983. Their last win in Wales was

:29:38. > :30:12.back in 2007. That was dangerous. Mohamed Salah,

:30:13. > :30:16.just wide. This was a golden opportunity for the Egyptian. He has

:30:17. > :30:26.got to be disappointed not to hit the target.

:30:27. > :30:33.Wilfried Bony. Good header. That was a really good leap. It was tipped

:30:34. > :30:55.over by Petr Cech. Willian is fouled by Chico Flores.

:30:56. > :31:01.He may well get the yellow card for that. He realise that Chelsea were

:31:02. > :31:16.in danger of outnumbering Swansea on the counterattack.

:31:17. > :31:25.Andre Schurrle. Chico Flores is in trouble. He has just had a yellow

:31:26. > :31:32.card. Chelsea are in Phil Dowd's you are. You can understand why. It was

:31:33. > :31:42.a pretty clumsy challenge. Is he now going to called him over? He took

:31:43. > :31:51.his time about it, but Phil Dowd has sent off Chico Flores. He said, I am

:31:52. > :31:57.thinking about it. He was not swayed by John Terry. He told the Chelsea

:31:58. > :32:01.captain to go away. Chico Flores is sent off. Swansea have a long time

:32:02. > :32:28.to play with ten men. Nathan Dyer to hate it. Petr Cech

:32:29. > :32:41.saves. This was a good strike. It took a little neck on its way

:32:42. > :32:42.through. -- a little nick. Nine minutes of the second half have been

:32:43. > :33:07.played. That was hooked away by Ashley

:33:08. > :33:13.Williams. This was very nearly a proper site of Michel Vorm's goal.

:33:14. > :33:25.It was diverted to safety by Ashley Williams.

:33:26. > :33:32.That is Demba Ba. Right across goal. Any moron that, and it might have

:33:33. > :33:43.been the goal that Chelsea were looking for. This is a transfer

:33:44. > :33:50.Samuel Eto'o. He drags it wide. The flag stayed down. You would expect

:33:51. > :33:51.him to put that away. The face of Samuel Eto'o reflected in those

:33:52. > :34:09.faces behind the goal. Routledge. Deflected off the back of

:34:10. > :34:19.John Terry for a corner. What a run from Routledge. That is from inside

:34:20. > :34:20.his own half. It went on to John Terry's shoulder. It was perilously

:34:21. > :34:37.close to hitting him on the arm. Ben Davies had time to pick his

:34:38. > :34:51.spot, but not that one. It is a Chelsea throwing. Demba Ba's shot,

:34:52. > :34:56.through Michel Vorm, into the net. Suddenly Swansea were caught

:34:57. > :35:02.short-handed at the back. It was Demba Ba against Michel Vorm, and

:35:03. > :35:08.Demba Ba one. Chelsea have the gall, midway through the second half.

:35:09. > :35:13.Demba Ba makes his point again. It was a great ball from Nemanja Matic.

:35:14. > :35:18.Good control and a really good finish. I think it was the pass from

:35:19. > :35:23.Nemanja Matic that caught Swansea flat fitted. Michel Vorm will be

:35:24. > :35:32.disappointed that he did not get a hand on it. -- flat-footed. Maybe

:35:33. > :35:36.not as crucial as the goal in the Champions League midweek, what

:35:37. > :35:42.really significant for Chelsea nonetheless.

:35:43. > :35:52.-- but really. Demba Ba on the turn. It was a rising shot, just over the

:35:53. > :36:12.bar. Samuel Eto'o. That is two he has

:36:13. > :36:23.missed from similar range. He could have put it to bed. Routledge trying

:36:24. > :36:30.to win a throw from Mohamed Salah. And the throw is taking.

:36:31. > :36:40.In it goes from Jonjo Shelvey. Petr Cech palms it away. It was a cross,

:36:41. > :36:59.but it was creeping in at the back post.

:37:00. > :37:12.Samuel Eto'o seems destined not to score today. Then again... No, it is

:37:13. > :37:16.blocked by De Guzman. They fought for glory and anything they could

:37:17. > :37:21.possibly get out of the game. It was really difficult for us. There was a

:37:22. > :37:27.period in the second half where we should have done better, we had so

:37:28. > :37:31.many counterattacks. Would you have bagged yourself to have a week like

:37:32. > :37:37.this? You have been struggling to get minutes on the pitch. I always

:37:38. > :37:42.believed, even though it is hard, when you have not been playing, and

:37:43. > :37:48.your fitness goals down. Your confidence goes down as well, but I

:37:49. > :37:53.am happy today. I cannot complain, the application from my players, to

:37:54. > :37:59.try and defend properly. Where you are unhappy with the red card, or

:38:00. > :38:05.the fact it took so long? That is why you're surprised by it. It took

:38:06. > :38:09.so long. I'm sure the referee has a legitimate answer. You have

:38:10. > :38:13.experienced some massive encounters with Liverpool over the last few

:38:14. > :38:21.years. It will be like a cup final for both teams. Whoever wins will

:38:22. > :38:26.put the pressure on Manchester City. Until then, everything is possible.

:38:27. > :38:34.It will be exciting. If we show exactly what we showed today in the

:38:35. > :38:37.last four games, we will be fine. Nothing from Jose Mourinho. He

:38:38. > :38:45.decided to keep his own counsel after that game. The sending-off

:38:46. > :38:48.killed the game. Chelsea had a host of chances but Swansea had some

:38:49. > :38:55.moments of their own. They played pretty well with ten men. As a

:38:56. > :38:58.spectacle, it was a nonevent. You talked about the sending-off of

:38:59. > :39:08.Chico Flores. Any grumbles with that one? I do not think that Swansea can

:39:09. > :39:13.have any complaints. Chico Flores, bringing down Willian. He just needs

:39:14. > :39:18.to get back, he does not need to make a challenge. He rightly gets

:39:19. > :39:26.booked. Within two minutes, he gets exposed. Andre Schurrle takes him

:39:27. > :39:34.on. If he cannot live with him, he has got to bring him inside. John

:39:35. > :39:41.Terry asks the referee, are you going to send him off? He says, I am

:39:42. > :39:45.thinking about it. Within five seconds, the red card came out, and

:39:46. > :39:51.I think, rightly so. Chelsea against ten men. They were patient, or

:39:52. > :39:59.laboured, whichever way you want to look at it. You can see why the 20

:40:00. > :40:03.goals Manchester City. We have mentioned the lack of a centre

:40:04. > :40:08.forward. Today they had about six great chances. Mohamed Salah, the

:40:09. > :40:16.first one, an open goal. He misses it. The next one to Mohamed Salah

:40:17. > :40:22.again. Over the top. Willian has a good chance. Demba Ba makes a good

:40:23. > :40:31.run to the near post and should probably score. It goes on and on.

:40:32. > :40:36.Samuel Eto'o hits it wide. They are obviously creating the chances. But

:40:37. > :40:42.they could not convert them. Playing up front is not that hard! To be

:40:43. > :40:52.fair, Swansea did put men behind the ball. But that is like an own goal,

:40:53. > :40:58.it is a bad touch. It is amazing. It seems that in the Chelsea camp it is

:40:59. > :41:00.doom and gloom. They are in the semifinal of the Champions League

:41:01. > :41:06.and they have a chance of winning the title. Do me a favour. Do not

:41:07. > :41:14.talk to me about tiredness. I never did. Jose Mourinho is talking about

:41:15. > :41:18.Liverpool having an advantage. If you said to Brendan Rodgers, would

:41:19. > :41:28.you rather swap, they would bite your hand off. We need to talk about

:41:29. > :41:35.Swansea as well. After yesterday's results, Swansea are not out of

:41:36. > :41:39.trouble. No, they are on a terrible run at the moment. They have not got

:41:40. > :41:44.the hardest running, but the way that they are playing, there are no

:41:45. > :41:50.easy games for them. Norwich City look like they are in big trouble,

:41:51. > :41:55.playing against the top four teams. Swansea are far from out of it. I

:41:56. > :42:01.agree with that, but I think they should enough today, they will be

:42:02. > :42:11.safe. In many ways, they have similar problems to Chelsea. They

:42:12. > :42:15.struggled to score goals? Yes, I like Wilfried Bony. He's a good

:42:16. > :42:21.player, but they have got to get the ball to him. So we've seen both

:42:22. > :42:24.games. Here's a reminder of how things stand in the title race.

:42:25. > :42:26.Today, it all depends on things stand in the title race.

:42:27. > :42:34.Today, it all depends what we can do in the future. If Liverpool window

:42:35. > :42:40.game, maybe they deserve to win the title. We will do everything we can

:42:41. > :42:44.to try and win the championship for our club, are supporters. It looks

:42:45. > :42:49.like an exciting conclusion to the season. Ten victories in the

:42:50. > :42:54.Barclays Premier League is an incredible achievement. We are still

:42:55. > :43:00.fighting. We have got to concentrate and keep doing the job. Hopefully

:43:01. > :43:02.ten games will become a living game next week. We are concentrating on

:43:03. > :43:07.the next game. next week. We are concentrating on

:43:08. > :43:13.the It has been a magical season. Who would have tipped that at the

:43:14. > :43:16.start? Not many people. At the start of the season, they were speaking

:43:17. > :43:23.about the Champions League, that would be phenomenal. Many of the do

:43:24. > :43:28.not win the league, it is still a great season. That is not true. They

:43:29. > :43:42.have four games left. There will not be one easy game. Norwich City away

:43:43. > :43:46.as the next match. They are fighting for their lives. Chelsea is

:43:47. > :43:52.obviously the big one. Crystal Palace away, where Tony Pulis has

:43:53. > :43:58.done a thin plastic job. Even Newcastle at home. That will not be

:43:59. > :44:07.easy. The mindset will be different. For the first time, they are

:44:08. > :44:11.favourites. They play Norwich City and Chelsea. I think it would be a

:44:12. > :44:17.good time to play Crystal Palace. By the time that they play them, they

:44:18. > :44:24.should be out of trouble. It is Liverpool's Toulouse. How big a

:44:25. > :44:29.factor this momentum? Ten victories. The confidence, plus you have Luis

:44:30. > :44:33.Suarez. If you're sitting in the dressing room and you are not sure,

:44:34. > :44:38.and you think about Luis Suarez, you automatically go, we have got a

:44:39. > :44:42.great chance. Daniel Sturridge looks like he might be injured for a

:44:43. > :44:48.while. He may have a hamstring injury. We have not heard about

:44:49. > :44:52.that. They do not have the deepest squad. If storage was out for the

:44:53. > :44:57.season, it would be a big blow. Henderson will be missed as well.

:44:58. > :45:02.The one player they cannot afford to lose is Luis Suarez. What about

:45:03. > :45:11.Manchester City? Where do they go from zero? Anything other than

:45:12. > :45:16.winning the title, it will be a massively disappointing season for

:45:17. > :45:20.them. And I don't think they will win the title. They have spent

:45:21. > :45:23.millions on attacking players but the left side of the defence

:45:24. > :45:28.concerns me. Vincent Kompany made mistakes today, he obviously wasn't

:45:29. > :45:35.fit and I think they will finish second or third. In a word,

:45:36. > :45:39.Liverpool? Yes, and to me. You both think they are going to do it. The

:45:40. > :45:46.game at Anfield, as you would expect, dominates the back pages

:45:47. > :45:50.Monday's papers. The Guardian reflects on a tearful Steven

:45:51. > :45:56.Gerrard, the captain revealing it was the longest 90 minutes he has

:45:57. > :46:00.ever played in. The Mirror also focusing on that and the Daily Mail

:46:01. > :46:03.focusing on Steven Gerrard urging his team-mates to turn their

:46:04. > :46:10.attention to next week's game against Norwich. Saturday's action

:46:11. > :46:16.to come after we remind you of something special that is coming up

:46:17. > :46:22.in a couple of months' time. What really separates the great from the

:46:23. > :46:35.good? Style? Of course. Flair? Obviously. Passion. That is a given.

:46:36. > :46:38.Learn from your mistakes. Always think about what you missed. Never

:46:39. > :46:48.be satisfied with what you have done. Whatever you do, do it with

:46:49. > :46:53.your heart. I never thought about what I could get out of football. I

:46:54. > :47:01.just wanted to play. Spain have surely won the World Cup!

:47:02. > :47:07.I sense it will all be rather smashing. Time now for the best of

:47:08. > :47:08.yesterday's action, starting with vital wins for three teams fighting

:47:09. > :47:18.relegation. Neal Adams takes charge of Norwich

:47:19. > :47:22.for the first time, with one objective, to keep the canaries in

:47:23. > :47:26.the Premier League. It is going to be a tense afternoon at Craven

:47:27. > :47:35.cottage, five huge matches remaining for both of these sites. Driven

:47:36. > :47:41.across, it is a wonderful save by Stockdale. What a reaction stop.

:47:42. > :47:48.Ricky Van Wolfswinkel so close to breaking his goal drought, but that

:47:49. > :47:52.is an outstanding one-handed save. Leroy Fer! And again, Stockdale is

:47:53. > :47:58.there to make the save. And just wide, what a chance for Johnson.

:47:59. > :48:03.Snodgrass, off the bar. Stockdale didn't move.

:48:04. > :48:09.Norwich have brought everybody back. Sidwell with the touch. Rodallega!

:48:10. > :48:15.What a huge goal that could be. Overwhelming relief amongst the home

:48:16. > :48:22.supporters. And Rodallega pounces and Fulham lead in this vital

:48:23. > :48:28.basement battle. It is a terrific run, Snodgrass!

:48:29. > :48:33.Just wide. Brilliant defending, Fulham threw themselves towards the

:48:34. > :48:36.loose ball. The fans are celebrating, they are convinced the

:48:37. > :48:44.great escape might be on again for Fulham.

:48:45. > :48:50.There are too waiting for it! It is Dejagah, can he finished question

:48:51. > :48:57.what he can't, but the full-time whistle has blown. Fulham are just

:48:58. > :49:02.two points behind Norwich. -- can he finish?

:49:03. > :49:03.Here comes Adam Lallana, Ramires is to his left. Gaston Ramirez! And the

:49:04. > :49:18.deflection takes it on to the bar. Away by Chambers, only as far as

:49:19. > :49:23.Cala, who tees it up. And Cardiff are ahead in a match they

:49:24. > :49:28.desperately need to win. Cala's shot behind acrid elite beyond the

:49:29. > :49:29.despairing dive of Gazza Nader. -- beyond the despairing dive of

:49:30. > :49:40.Gazzaniga. Nathaniel Clyne for Southampton!

:49:41. > :49:44.What a save. Great stop by Marshall. It is now or never for

:49:45. > :49:50.Southampton. I reckon Cardiff only need to hang on for one last attack.

:49:51. > :49:51.It is all over. And Cardiff are far from finished in their quest to stay

:49:52. > :50:08.in the Premier League. This is promising. It is Bolasie.

:50:09. > :50:13.Good effort. It could still going? It hasn't. Wonderful save by Brad

:50:14. > :50:14.Guzan from Bolasie and against the bar by Cameron Jerome, who should

:50:15. > :50:24.really have scored. Good cross by Bolasie. A chance

:50:25. > :50:29.shoulder for Crystal Palace. It is Puncheon. And he has done it again.

:50:30. > :50:33.Jason Puncheon. The cross beat everybody apart from Puncheon and he

:50:34. > :50:39.smacked that in the inside of the post and it is deserved on the play.

:50:40. > :50:46.Can Grant Holt headed them for Andreas Weimann? Good save, Speroni.

:50:47. > :50:51.-- had it down. A very, very good save by Julian Speroni.

:50:52. > :50:57.A couple of great saves yesterday. Back-to-back wins for Fulham, it has

:50:58. > :51:02.really spiced things up. It is the most amazing season. We have said

:51:03. > :51:08.consistently, those two are gone, and then six weeks later, those two

:51:09. > :51:13.are gone. We don't know who is going to go. Well, there will be three go

:51:14. > :51:19.down. Speaking there will be more twists and turns until the end of

:51:20. > :51:23.the season. And Fulham with back-to-back victories, who would

:51:24. > :51:27.have thought it? I think you go up to Aston Villa. I think 36 points

:51:28. > :51:34.will be enough. Fulham, you talk about momentum in the title race but

:51:35. > :51:38.equally at the bottom, Cardiff and Fulham up against it and suddenly

:51:39. > :51:44.you win. That whistled at Southampton is unreal. -- result.

:51:45. > :51:48.You look at the Cardiff goalkeeper, one of the best in the Premier

:51:49. > :51:53.League, he has been trying to stave off relegation and he has saved them

:51:54. > :51:57.so many points, Marshall. We have talked about Norwich's running for a

:51:58. > :52:03.long time and it has finally arrived. Two points above the drop

:52:04. > :52:06.some, is that enough? They just can't score goals. I mentioned

:52:07. > :52:10.Cardiff, I saw them play away there and at West Ham and even Fulham

:52:11. > :52:14.yesterday, they should have beaten them. They have paid the ultimate

:52:15. > :52:21.price for not scoring enough goals and you look at that run in... It is

:52:22. > :52:24.beastly. It is. They drew against Manchester City at home six or seven

:52:25. > :52:30.weeks ago, so they can pick up points at home but away, their form

:52:31. > :52:36.is appalling. There is a remarkable story this season among many and

:52:37. > :52:39.that would be Crystal Palace. If it wasn't for Brendan Rodgers and

:52:40. > :52:44.Martin is doing so well, you would make him a contender for manager of

:52:45. > :52:48.the season -- Roberto Martinez. Fourth from bottom when he took

:52:49. > :52:55.over, and they look as good as safe now. They were goners. They were one

:52:56. > :52:58.of the ones we mentioned. Here are the remaining matches from

:52:59. > :53:05.yesterday, including a classic at the Hawthorns.

:53:06. > :53:09.The long-term future of Tim Sherwood is still in huge doubt. Pepe Mel

:53:10. > :53:13.says he isn't certain he will be in charge next season either as his

:53:14. > :53:20.West Brom team search for back-to-back victories for just the

:53:21. > :53:25.second time all season. Captained by Amalfitano. The last

:53:26. > :53:29.time West Brom played at home, he scored a stunning goal against

:53:30. > :53:38.Cardiff in a 3-3 draw. He gets the crossing. Beaten away by Hugo Lloris

:53:39. > :53:42.and backing by Vydra. What a start within 30 seconds. Amalfitano went

:53:43. > :53:45.past Danny Rose, straight into the path of the Czech Republic

:53:46. > :53:48.international, who gleefully accepted and drilled it into the

:53:49. > :53:56.bottom corner. It might come to Chris Brunt! Would

:53:57. > :54:00.you believe this? Inside four minutes, West Bromwich Albion are

:54:01. > :54:06.two up. Spurs didn't deal with it, Chris Brunt was unmarked, 2-0 West

:54:07. > :54:07.Bromwich Albion. What a start, even Pepe Mel couldn't have dreamt of

:54:08. > :54:16.this. And the referee has given a penalty.

:54:17. > :54:20.It is all happening in the first quarter of an hour. Emanuel Adebayor

:54:21. > :54:26.has the chance to get one back. And he is denied by Foster. Ben Foster

:54:27. > :54:27.guessed correctly. He is smiling but deep down he will be absolutely

:54:28. > :54:37.fuming. That came off Younis Kabul and

:54:38. > :54:44.Sessegnon could be in. Still Sessegnon, 3-0! As soon as it came

:54:45. > :54:56.off the head of Younis Kabul, Sessegnon held off the challenge and

:54:57. > :55:02.got the third -- Kaboul. A deflected own goal, taken away

:55:03. > :55:07.from Foster by the left leg of Olsson.

:55:08. > :55:13.There is the head. And Harry Kane has got one back for Tottenham.

:55:14. > :55:18.Brilliant play by Lennon and a free header for Harry Kane. Steven Reid

:55:19. > :55:23.couldn't keep it out. Paulinho, Aaron Lennon. So many

:55:24. > :55:29.bodies in the penalty area. Is this the chance? It is Christian Eriksen!

:55:30. > :55:35.Spurs have done it. Tim Sherwood's team have come from three down to

:55:36. > :55:38.level it at 3-3 and four the second home game running, Pepe Mel says an

:55:39. > :55:47.injury time equaliser going. -- sees.

:55:48. > :55:49.As always, it is a blustery afternoon at the potteries.

:55:50. > :55:56.Arnautovic, Erik Pieters available to his left. The cross is in. Tim

:55:57. > :56:01.Krul embarrassed by Erik Pieters. I am not convinced he was going for

:56:02. > :56:05.gold. I am pretty sure that is across. I doubt anybody in the

:56:06. > :56:14.stadium would have had Erik Pieters down as first goal-scorer.

:56:15. > :56:18.The home team fearing the Championship. The visitors flying

:56:19. > :56:23.towards the Champions League. Deulofeu does well against Alonso.

:56:24. > :56:29.And it has gone in, it is off Wes Brown. It is the seventh own goal

:56:30. > :56:32.but Sunderland have conceded, six in the Premier League. Everton don't

:56:33. > :56:37.care how it goes in. What a big goal for them.

:56:38. > :56:42.His demeanour never changes but I sure he knows how excited he is

:56:43. > :56:45.making Everton fans. The winner will be celebrated all the way back to

:56:46. > :56:49.Merseyside by Everton supporters. They have moved into the top four

:56:50. > :56:54.and Sunderland are once again left to rue their luck.

:56:55. > :56:59.Sunderland are gone? It looks like it. I think that might actually be

:57:00. > :57:03.the case. Everton are hanging in there, playing some great football

:57:04. > :57:07.of late, but yesterday was more of a battling performance. They had to

:57:08. > :57:12.battle and they did. We all know they can grind a result out, they

:57:13. > :57:16.are very powerful with a lot of flair. They beat Arsenal last week

:57:17. > :57:21.and yesterday, they got the goal with a slice of luck, but they are

:57:22. > :57:24.in pole position. Arsenal have the cup final, they haven't been at

:57:25. > :57:28.their best in the league. They are two points ahead, it would be an

:57:29. > :57:33.amazing story if they finish fourth. Momentum, Everton have got it. They

:57:34. > :57:36.played so well against Arsenal and Roberto Martinez has done a

:57:37. > :57:46.fantastic job. What was going on at the Hawthorns? Incredible, the last

:57:47. > :57:51.two home games, 3-3. They did it against Cardiff. And yesterday, but

:57:52. > :57:55.ultimately might cost them. So this is how the table looks after

:57:56. > :57:59.this weekend's action. Wins for Liverpool and Chelsea see them steal

:58:00. > :58:02.a march on Manchester City in the race for the title. The Reds'

:58:03. > :58:05.advantage remains two points over Chelsea, but City are now seven

:58:06. > :58:08.points off top spot. Everton and Arsenal are both involved in midweek

:58:09. > :58:11.action as the race for fourth place heats up. Swansea remain just three

:58:12. > :58:15.points above the relegation places with four games left to play. FA Cup

:58:16. > :58:27.finalists Hull are six clear of trouble. Thank you very much to Alan

:58:28. > :58:31.and Didi. 24 years after their last title win, Liverpool have it in

:58:32. > :58:36.their grasp. Goodbye. This was a day of opportunity. A

:58:37. > :58:40.defining day in the Premier League title race. This was a day when the

:58:41. > :58:47.performance mattered little, when the result was key. This was a day

:58:48. > :58:51.that kept the dream alive. This was a day the dream died a little. This

:58:52. > :58:59.was a day when hope became expectation. And for all the hype

:59:00. > :59:03.and conjecture, most of all, this was a day to remember.

:59:04. > :59:08.This is the most priceless work in the artist's collection

:59:09. > :59:14.It took him just five minutes and 20 seconds to create.
