:00:47. > :00:52.Everton against Liverpool - once called the friendly derby. In the

:00:53. > :00:58.Premier League era it's been anything but.

:00:59. > :01:05.COMMENTATOR: It's a red card. 21 red cards in 24 years. The last six

:01:06. > :01:10.years have been barren for Evertonians, 12 matches without a

:01:11. > :01:14.win and some humbling defeats. Comem comem the nightmare goes on and on

:01:15. > :01:18.and on for Everton. Liverpool remain title contenders. In this race,

:01:19. > :01:23.Klopp and co have little room for error.

:01:24. > :01:31.COMMENTATOR: It's unbelievable! A first taste of a Merseyside derby

:01:32. > :01:37.for Ronald Koeman. Could his side produce another memorable win under

:01:38. > :01:40.the Goodison Park lights? Evening, we'll bring you the highlights of

:01:41. > :01:44.yesterday's matches, including Manchester City against Arsenal and

:01:45. > :01:55.the thoughts of Kevin Kilbane and Charlie Adam. We start at Goodison.

:01:56. > :02:00.Ecommentary from Simon Brotherton. Enton's spirited come back last week

:02:01. > :02:03.has bolstered them into this match against their neighbours. Liverpool

:02:04. > :02:07.have dominated the derby in recent years. They've had to settle for a

:02:08. > :02:11.draw here in each of the last Four Seasons. Everton's manager, Ronald

:02:12. > :02:19.Koeman is forced into making one change this evening. Captain

:02:20. > :02:23.Jagielka missing the game after his red card against Arsenal. (

:02:24. > :02:25.Jagielka missing the game after his red card against Arsenal. Romelu

:02:26. > :02:30.Lukaku has scored five goals in eight league appearances against

:02:31. > :02:37.Liverpool. Juergen Klopp's named an unchanged line-up. Divock Origi has

:02:38. > :02:41.scored in each of the last five matches. Daniel Sturridge returning

:02:42. > :02:46.from injury has been named among the substitutesment

:02:47. > :02:51.-- substitutes. Festive bragging rights on the line. Goodison packed

:02:52. > :03:04.to the rafters and crackling with atmosphere.

:03:05. > :03:12.In towards Lukaku in the centre and hooked away by Jordan Henderson.

:03:13. > :03:17.Good play from Everton. This was the delivery from Lennon

:03:18. > :03:21.which nearly found Romelu Lukaku in the centre.

:03:22. > :03:28.A vital touch from Klavan. He hasn't played much for Liverpool. But he's

:03:29. > :03:39.got a lot of experience. 116 caps for Estonia.

:03:40. > :03:46.Wijnaldum teeing it up. Five attempts on goal in the first half

:03:47. > :03:54.so far, three from the home side, two from Liverpool. Nobody with an

:03:55. > :03:55.effort on target. Jagielka suspended tonight following that red card

:03:56. > :04:14.against Arsenal. Sweeping move here from the home

:04:15. > :04:23.side. It strikes Henderson on the arm. In the a great deal he could

:04:24. > :04:28.have done about it. I think the ball flicked up against

:04:29. > :04:31.his chest and then hit his arm after that. Liverpool now moving forward

:04:32. > :04:49.with Firmino. Clyne - dangerous! Wide from Origi.

:04:50. > :04:53.Everton fans howling about an incident about one side of the

:04:54. > :04:57.pitch. Then their team under pressure at the other. Clyne rolling

:04:58. > :05:01.it back into Divock Origi. He could only put the ball wide of the post.

:05:02. > :05:07.That's the best we've seen from Liverpool in this first half. Here's

:05:08. > :05:11.the incident at the other end. The ball hits Jordan Henderson on the

:05:12. > :05:17.hip, I think, then just flicks up against his arm. Mike Dean quite

:05:18. > :05:20.right not to give anything there. Four wins and four draws so far at

:05:21. > :05:35.home for Everton this season. Everton have a corner. It's the

:05:36. > :05:48.first corner of the game. Good chance perhaps for Everton to

:05:49. > :05:57.ask one or two questions of the neighbours from across the park.

:05:58. > :06:01.Cursing himself that he couldn't get it on target. Intensity, endeavour,

:06:02. > :06:29.but so far, no end product to match. Mane goes for the overhead kick.

:06:30. > :06:30.Clyne has a shot blocked. Suddenly, Everton have their backs against the

:06:31. > :06:40.wall for a moment. Juergen Klopp's team pressing for

:06:41. > :06:44.the opening goal. The intensity has gone up a notch or two at the start

:06:45. > :06:49.of the second half. Liverpool have started the better of the two.

:06:50. > :06:57.Firmino almost in. Stekelenburg with a vital stop.

:06:58. > :06:59.Ronald Koeman's team performed well in the first half without really

:07:00. > :07:25.creating anything. Leighton Baines couldn't take any

:07:26. > :07:27.chance there's. He's ended up on the ground, both he and Maarten

:07:28. > :07:31.Stekelenburg. It's a collision around the right hip area with

:07:32. > :07:36.Leighton Baines here. Baines totally committed. Made sure that he got

:07:37. > :07:43.there first. You can see there the right thigh of the goalkeeper taking

:07:44. > :07:50.the full force of that collision. Maarten Stekelenburg forced to limp

:07:51. > :07:56.from the field of play. After that fortunate collision with his

:07:57. > :08:06.captain, Leighton Baines. Joel Robles on for Everton.

:08:07. > :08:13.Henderson was caught there. Mike Dean reaches straight for his card.

:08:14. > :08:20.Ross Barkley is going in the book. Tempers raised. Yellow card for Ross

:08:21. > :08:25.Barkley. Henderson on the ground and Lovren and Lukaku at it. Milner

:08:26. > :08:31.doing his best peace keeping efforts. And suddenly, a thick et of

:08:32. > :08:38.players around where the incident took place. Here's the challenge by

:08:39. > :08:43.Ross Barkley coming up now. Oh, that's a horrendous challenge by

:08:44. > :08:49.Ross Barkley, absolutely horrendous. That could have ended Henderson's

:08:50. > :08:57.season. He's lucky it's only yellow. That was a dreadful tackle.

:08:58. > :09:19.The header from Williams gathered by Mignolet. He's been largely

:09:20. > :09:21.untroubled in this match, Simon Mignolet. First shot on target from

:09:22. > :09:30.Everton. Just 15 minutes to go. Lennon was always favourite for that

:09:31. > :09:49.one. He wins a corner. Daniel Sturridge

:09:50. > :09:55.preparing to come on for Liverpool as well, for a ten-minute cameo at

:09:56. > :10:01.the end. Oh, what a great save by Robles.

:10:02. > :10:12.Superb save. Liverpool so close to taking the lead. What a save by Joel

:10:13. > :10:19.Robles. Look at this, a thunderous shot from Roberto Firmino. Great

:10:20. > :10:23.stop from the substitute goalkeeper. That is why it's still goalless.

:10:24. > :10:44.Here comes the board, eight minutes of added time.

:10:45. > :10:54.Mignolet pouncing on the ball. He was totally surrounded there,

:10:55. > :11:02.Lukaku. He still nearly found a way through.

:11:03. > :11:05.Milner is on the near side, not in your picture at the moment. But

:11:06. > :11:32.always available. Oh, it hit the post, oh, it was

:11:33. > :11:36.followed up and into the back of the net by Sadio Mane, deep into added

:11:37. > :11:41.time at the end of the game. Surely that's the goal that will win the

:11:42. > :11:49.derby from Sadio Mane. What drama at Goodison Park. Here it is once more.

:11:50. > :11:53.Daniel Sturridge kept looking, kept looking. He thought he saw an

:11:54. > :11:57.opening. Nearly squeeze today home and Mane, who we -- squeezed it home

:11:58. > :12:01.and Mane, who we know is quick out of the blocks, had the pace to get

:12:02. > :12:06.to the ball first and slam it into the back of the Everton net. It

:12:07. > :12:11.looks like Everton are going to have to wait a little longer to win a

:12:12. > :12:16.Merseyside derby again. Fireworks on the pitch from Mane. Fireworks off

:12:17. > :12:20.the field as well. There isn't much time for Ronald Koeman's team now to

:12:21. > :12:26.recover from this very late punch in the stomach. Will this red sky at

:12:27. > :12:32.night prove to be Liverpool's delight?

:12:33. > :12:44.Oh, what a stew pen does block on the line by -- stupendous Black

:12:45. > :12:54.Country on the line by -- block on the line by Coleman. Denied a second

:12:55. > :12:58.goal by the visiting side. OK it was good, the atmosphere. It was a long,

:12:59. > :13:05.long extra time. But of course, because of the injury of

:13:06. > :13:09.Stekelenburg. Yeah, but again, we gave them no chance. That's a very

:13:10. > :13:15.important thing. We had the chances and it's a deserved win, all good. I

:13:16. > :13:19.know exactly how fast Sadio Mane is. He was reacting the fast player on

:13:20. > :13:24.the pitch. OK, hits the post and it's coming back. OK we did not

:13:25. > :13:28.deserve that goal. Because I think the team performance was

:13:29. > :13:35.outstanding. I'm very happy to score the winning goal for the team. I

:13:36. > :13:42.think the work rate of the team was great today. We deserved to win. It

:13:43. > :13:46.was late. I'm good friends with Ross. I think he mistimed the

:13:47. > :13:52.tackle. After the game he apop Issed. It was late. Thankfully, I'm

:13:53. > :13:57.all right. It was just mistimed. You're going to get them in derby

:13:58. > :14:03.games. It was a hard tackle. But I'd need to watch the clip to have

:14:04. > :14:10.really an opinion about it's yellow or it's red. It was a hard tackle I

:14:11. > :14:13.always have to say how it is. If you saw it, say how it was. If anybody

:14:14. > :14:18.needs my say about this, I think the referee had a difficult game today,

:14:19. > :14:23.Michael Dean did really well in this situation. Maybe Ross was really

:14:24. > :14:28.lucky. We conceded a goal in extra time, eight minutes was difficult.

:14:29. > :14:32.It was already difficult to keep one point till 95 minutes. The eight

:14:33. > :14:36.minutes was killing for us. There were a lot of stoppages

:14:37. > :14:40.though, you suffered injuries to key players as well Yeah, but OK, the

:14:41. > :14:43.reason that maybe it was all about eight minutes, it was the injury of

:14:44. > :14:49.the goalkeeper, Maarten Stekelenburg. If it was really eight

:14:50. > :14:53.minutes I don't know. It was a long time extra time.

:14:54. > :15:00.STUDIO: I will have to talk to BBC management and ask them to stop

:15:01. > :15:03.changing Match of the Day 2 tour Monday because whenever we get a

:15:04. > :15:07.Monday night game it is not very good. Ronald Koeman described his

:15:08. > :15:11.Everton side as outstanding. I think you two would go as far as saying

:15:12. > :15:15.maybe for 45 minutes but not the second 45. The second 45 they showed

:15:16. > :15:20.a real desire without the ball. They closed down in numbers. I thought as

:15:21. > :15:24.a team, as a unit, they didn't really give too much away, they

:15:25. > :15:28.forced a lot of errors out of Liverpool. They knew that Liverpool

:15:29. > :15:33.are a pressing team as well and they had done it extremely well, the

:15:34. > :15:36.first minute, the tackles, the second balls they won command the

:15:37. > :15:41.tempo they played at. In the end I think they didn't produce in the

:15:42. > :15:46.second half what they produced in the first half and they got the goal

:15:47. > :15:52.late on. I thought the substitution with James McArthur hindered

:15:53. > :15:56.Everton. You can see him flying in. The whole 45 minutes was like that,

:15:57. > :16:01.Coleman here command they have that in the second half, they ran out of

:16:02. > :16:03.steam. In the end it cost them. It was more the numbers around them,

:16:04. > :16:08.the amount of time they get numbers around them, stopping them.

:16:09. > :16:11.Liverpool boss McCourty in the final third in the first half was

:16:12. > :16:15.extremely poor and that was down to Everton closing them down. I just

:16:16. > :16:18.felt in the second-half Everton dropped too deep and they invited

:16:19. > :16:22.the pressure to be brought against them, that's what I felt. Barry

:16:23. > :16:27.missed the tackle there and they get in great space all over the pitch,

:16:28. > :16:30.Wijnaldum is great getting out wide. The young lad dives in and they are

:16:31. > :16:35.on the attack. That was their decision-making they were making. In

:16:36. > :16:39.the end Apple Everton played well in the first half. It is your position,

:16:40. > :16:45.central midfield, so when you are going into a game at that pace and

:16:46. > :16:50.Eli coming on for the second half, is it difficult to get up to speed?

:16:51. > :16:53.Very difficult, very difficult. Gareth Barry has been rested for the

:16:54. > :16:57.last couple of weeks and James McCarthy has been playing well.

:16:58. > :17:02.Their loss at half-time was key for them. It is difficult to come in but

:17:03. > :17:05.they suffered in the second half, their energy had gone. Jurgen Klopp

:17:06. > :17:09.questioned post match whether they could maintain that intensity,

:17:10. > :17:13.proved that way with Everton and dropping and allowing that. You felt

:17:14. > :17:17.as though the longer the game went on if one team would score it would

:17:18. > :17:21.be Liverpool and that's because Everton dropped too deep. Which is

:17:22. > :17:26.what happened, so take a look at the golf. A couple of things, Charlie

:17:27. > :17:30.picked up on them, too much space. We highlighted in the first half.

:17:31. > :17:37.This is a great ball from Wijnaldum. Overall, the first half, Lennon and

:17:38. > :17:40.Valencia did a good job tracking the full-backs. The Stan Leonard gives

:17:41. > :17:45.the full-back too much space and he rolls it into Sturridge who dribbles

:17:46. > :17:48.across the box. Not a great effort but the reaction of Mane is

:17:49. > :17:53.excellent, striker in form. Even getting into this position, it is

:17:54. > :17:56.five against two in that position but two Liverpool players react

:17:57. > :18:03.quicker than the Everton players. Funes Mori and Robles were in a

:18:04. > :18:08.position to clear it. Mane is the one he wants to get into the box. I

:18:09. > :18:11.don't think Robles does great, his reaction isn't great, it is a tame

:18:12. > :18:16.shot and I don't think he reacts quick enough as well. I feel like I

:18:17. > :18:20.praise David Priest, a former goalkeeper, on Twitter on every show

:18:21. > :18:25.I'm on but he's very good to follow on goalkeeper's technique. I will

:18:26. > :18:28.take your word for that! He said this evening Robles takes two steps

:18:29. > :18:36.forward and then jump at the last minute. That's split-second makes a

:18:37. > :18:41.difference, it came off the post and Mane has the striker's instinct and

:18:42. > :18:45.gets the golf. Mane's reaction was excellent. Do overall view

:18:46. > :18:50.Liverpool, three clean sheets in their last four away games. Bay-side

:18:51. > :18:55.Web pundits have told me this season with their defence they will have to

:18:56. > :18:58.score three or four every time to win but they seem to have turned it

:18:59. > :19:01.around away from home barring the game at Bournemouth. They do and it

:19:02. > :19:05.is one of them they knew what Everton would do, they would come

:19:06. > :19:10.flying out of the blocks. It was 15 minutes before they got an effort on

:19:11. > :19:16.goal. They sat in and got the goal in the end. But they will be

:19:17. > :19:19.delighted with that, it is a tough place to go, Everton. That's the way

:19:20. > :19:23.it is with Liverpool teams, we look at them so often and you think, can

:19:24. > :19:27.they stop teams scoring? Everton didn't do an awful lot. It was the

:19:28. > :19:31.Ashley Williams header that was the only attempt on target they had.

:19:32. > :19:35.Liverpool, yes, on that side of it, but I feel from both sides there

:19:36. > :19:44.wasn't a lot of quality in the game. I'm assuming you both agree on the

:19:45. > :19:46.Ross Barkley challenge that Jurgen Klopp spoke about? Jordan Henderson

:19:47. > :19:50.was very forgiving in his post-match interview. Do you both think that

:19:51. > :19:54.was a red card? I think it is a red card and it's not a great challenge.

:19:55. > :19:59.You can see Klopp and his reaction to it. It is not a great tackle. The

:20:00. > :20:05.referee has dealt with it in the way he should deal with it. It is

:20:06. > :20:08.horrendous. He is lucky, so Lucky, lucky from two sides, lucky he

:20:09. > :20:12.didn't get the red card but also lucky that Jordan Henderson didn't

:20:13. > :20:15.suffer a serious injury because he rocked his ankle and fortunately

:20:16. > :20:19.there is no serious injury to Henderson but that should have been

:20:20. > :20:23.a red card. You could see from Klopp's reaction, he was very

:20:24. > :20:27.worried. He thinks it is a bad one and fair play to Jordan, he gets up

:20:28. > :20:33.and gets on with it. On to yesterday's matches and a meeting of

:20:34. > :20:36.Manchester City and Arsenal, two teams desperate to keep within

:20:37. > :20:40.striking distance of the leaders Chelsea. Steve Bower was at the

:20:41. > :20:47.Etihad. COMMENTATOR: Project pep has rarely

:20:48. > :20:50.been dull so far, both Man City and Arsenal are aware the title race

:20:51. > :20:55.could be if they don't stay close enough on Chelsea's Trail. The City

:20:56. > :20:58.boss makes two changes to the team that returned to winning ways

:20:59. > :21:02.against Watford were Ilkay Gundogan suffered an injury to put him out

:21:03. > :21:06.for the season and Fernando his replacement in midfield while Sane

:21:07. > :21:09.is preferred to Nolito. Guardiola names and unchanged defence for the

:21:10. > :21:13.first time in the Premier League. One alteration to the Arsenal team

:21:14. > :21:18.beaten by Everton, Alex Iwobi is preferred to Alex Ed Chaimberlain.

:21:19. > :21:23.Top scorer Alexis Sanchez, signed by Guardiola for Barcelona, has six

:21:24. > :21:30.goals in last four games. A matchup of real significance at the top of

:21:31. > :21:36.the Premier League. Arsenal unbeaten in their last six against Manchester

:21:37. > :21:39.City in all competitions. Space for Silva, Sane available, Sterling has

:21:40. > :21:44.made a run, that is who he is looking for, and it almost came to

:21:45. > :21:50.him as well. Encouraging for Manchester City. Uncomfortable for

:21:51. > :21:57.Arsenal. They are now on the attack with Bellerin. Sanchez, lovely

:21:58. > :22:04.reverse ball. Walcott! 1-0 Arsenal inside five minutes, his fourth goal

:22:05. > :22:11.in four games against Manchester City. A devastating break and Theo

:22:12. > :22:16.Walcott gives Arsenal the lead. Pep Guardiola's defends undone again.

:22:17. > :22:20.Sanchez has scored 14 goals this season. He created this one with

:22:21. > :22:26.that brilliant pass and Walcott kept his cool, retained his composure,

:22:27. > :22:32.and rolled it past Claudio Bravo. His 11th goal in all competitions

:22:33. > :22:37.this season. It is first blood Arsenal, Manchester City 0-1

:22:38. > :22:42.Arsenal. It was never going to be 0-0. There has only been four of

:22:43. > :22:47.them in 38 Premier League meetings, and that will now be three clean

:22:48. > :22:50.sheets I believe in 17 Premier League games for Manchester City

:22:51. > :22:57.under Pep Guardiola. I should point out that Arsenal have gone 11 games

:22:58. > :23:03.without keeping a clean sheet. Gael Clichy into De Bruyne, Sterling has

:23:04. > :23:06.made the run, here he is! What a chance for an immediate response

:23:07. > :23:11.from Manchester City. Raheem Sterling being asked to lead the

:23:12. > :23:15.line, who has gone 12 games without scoring, onside with a golden chance

:23:16. > :23:23.to make it 1-1. Totally free, totally unmarked. Manchester City

:23:24. > :23:28.should have been level. Easy to say. Sergio Aguero would have put that

:23:29. > :23:32.away. He hasn't enjoyed recent trips to the City, one win in the last 12

:23:33. > :23:38.Premier League visits to Manchester, that was here, though, January 2000

:23:39. > :23:45.2-0 victory. Coquelin. Here is Walcott. They are streaming forward

:23:46. > :23:53.in numbers, Arsenal. Ozil. Iwobi. Here comes Ozil. Zabaleta in the

:23:54. > :24:05.way. Arsenal corner. Their first of the game. Short to Iwobi. He has

:24:06. > :24:11.picked at Monreal. Kolarov did not get there. It was half a chance.

:24:12. > :24:19.Kolarov expected to make this header. Theo Walcott just got his

:24:20. > :24:24.angles wrong. The last time Arsene Wenger faced a Pep Guardiola side

:24:25. > :24:29.Arsenal lost 5- 02 Bayern Munich in the Champions League. They are in

:24:30. > :24:35.front here at the moment. Good flick from Ozil. Walcott. Sanchez is the

:24:36. > :24:43.obvious target inside him. Here he is. He's got Iwobi to his left.

:24:44. > :24:47.Iwobi's cross. Bellerin! Always rising, but Arsenal do look such a

:24:48. > :24:52.threat on the break. Sanchez couldn't quite get it out from under

:24:53. > :24:56.his feet. Ozil improvised. Bellerin, who has only ever scored three goals

:24:57. > :25:03.for Arsenal, saw that fly over the crossbar. The first of five games in

:25:04. > :25:10.19 days for Manchester City. Sterling to Silva, up towards Sane

:25:11. > :25:16.who is onside, and he's levelled it. Leroy Sane with his first Manchester

:25:17. > :25:22.City goal less than two minutes into the second half to bring them level.

:25:23. > :25:28.Just the start to the second period they wanted. Well, this is a big

:25:29. > :25:33.call for Adam Milne, the referee's assistant who is looking down the

:25:34. > :25:38.line. That looks as though Sane is just off, but once the flag was

:25:39. > :25:44.raised Sane did the most important thing in scoring his first City

:25:45. > :25:48.goal. Crucial goal for a City, 1-1, game on. When Arsene Wenger sees

:25:49. > :25:51.that again I'm sure he will have something to say. The worst possible

:25:52. > :26:01.start to the second half for his team. Here is Sanchez for Arsenal.

:26:02. > :26:06.Walcott. Ozil easily dispossessed by Silva, who is then rocked by Sanchez

:26:07. > :26:15.and then a fair challenge by Fernando. This is De Bruyne, into

:26:16. > :26:18.Sunday. -- Sane. Denied by Cech, terrific football from Manchester

:26:19. > :26:23.City, untidy from Arsenal. Great run from Sunday, he was onside that time

:26:24. > :26:29.and Cech made the save you would expect him to make. Adrian Leary and

:26:30. > :26:38.Pat Rice, Arsenal legends, watching on. Yaya Toure. Sterling's cross,

:26:39. > :26:43.cleared by Monreal, not too convincingly, though. Silva. De

:26:44. > :26:51.Bruyne. Bodies on the edge of the penalty area. In towards Silva,

:26:52. > :26:59.cleared by Xhaka. De Bruyne. Good effort. Petr Cech needed to make

:27:00. > :27:03.sure. Not particularly powerful from De Bruyne but it took a deflection

:27:04. > :27:10.and it was heading in. Decent stop from Cech. Arsenal haven't been in

:27:11. > :27:15.the same groove in the second half. They were rocked by the early goal

:27:16. > :27:21.at the start of it. Manchester City tales have been up ever since. De

:27:22. > :27:28.Bruyne. What a ball that is. Into the path of Sterling. -- tails. Is

:27:29. > :27:34.there anything at the end of it? Up against Monreal. Still Sterling!

:27:35. > :27:38.Quite brilliant! After 12 games without a goal, Raheem Sterling

:27:39. > :27:42.might have scored a hugely significant one. Fabulous finish

:27:43. > :27:48.aided by a wonderful ball from De Bruyne, who quite rightly receives

:27:49. > :27:53.the adulation as well. Just look at this pass from the Belgian. The

:27:54. > :27:57.vision, the weight of it. Having said that, Sterling still had plenty

:27:58. > :28:03.to do. He missed that golden chance in the first half and he beat Cech

:28:04. > :28:08.at his near post in the second. It's his sixth goal of the season and

:28:09. > :28:13.Arsenal, having led by 1-0 inside the first five minutes, now trailed

:28:14. > :28:20.2-1. What a turnaround from his team. And he knows how important

:28:21. > :28:29.that goal could be. Manchester City 2-1 Arsenal. Sterling cuts inside

:28:30. > :28:33.here. Just watch Silva. He's in an offside position. Does he make an

:28:34. > :28:37.attempt to get the ball to put Cech off? His leg is out. You would have

:28:38. > :28:44.to say it would be harsh to determine he was interfering with

:28:45. > :28:48.play there. Here is Silva, Navas to his right. Here is Navas with his

:28:49. > :28:53.first touch. Could it be an assist? It is off the post. What an

:28:54. > :28:59.introduction that nearly was from Navas. Arsenal switched off again.

:29:00. > :29:07.Silva new Navas was available, drove it across, De Bruyne's outstretched

:29:08. > :29:17.leg almost finished it. Bellerin. Arsenal free kick. Yellow card for

:29:18. > :29:22.Fernando. It is one he will take at this stage. Arsenal will have one

:29:23. > :29:33.last chance for Ozil to throw this in. Cech takes it to Ozil. There

:29:34. > :29:38.isn't time. It's a victory for Manchester City, their second of the

:29:39. > :29:43.week, and it could be a hugely significant one. It is back-to-back

:29:44. > :29:49.away defeats for Arsenal in a week, the first time that has happened

:29:50. > :29:50.since April 2014. Raheem Sterling the matchwinner, Manchester City 2-1

:29:51. > :30:04.Arsenal. It was a good game. Today we won. We

:30:05. > :30:10.dominate. We create the chances. You have lots of problems. We have

:30:11. > :30:14.important players for a long time. The guys give absolutely everything

:30:15. > :30:19.every game. That's why I'm so happy to be their coach. It was a great

:30:20. > :30:23.team performance. We were disappointed to go behind in the

:30:24. > :30:27.first half. The manager said just stay in there, we would definitely

:30:28. > :30:32.get chances. Today we got the three points I thought we deserved. It's

:30:33. > :30:38.not what I would like to play, but it's not easy, high pressing from

:30:39. > :30:42.Arsenal is really good. After they defend, compact, block deep. But we

:30:43. > :30:46.did it. That's why I was so happy. We had a very good first half. There

:30:47. > :30:54.was room to score a second goal in the first half. In the second half,

:30:55. > :30:57.on top of that, in the two games, the decisions went really against

:30:58. > :31:01.us. Today we conceded two offside goals and that is difficult to

:31:02. > :31:08.accept in a game like that. I believe there's a lot going on at

:31:09. > :31:13.the moment that is not serious and it's unbelievable. But every time

:31:14. > :31:18.when we go into games like that, you have to come out and say the

:31:19. > :31:24.decisions go against you and only laterally. Let's start with those

:31:25. > :31:30.decisions. The two offside goals as Arsene Wenger called them. The first

:31:31. > :31:37.one is offside. It's only just. It's extremely tight. He's moving at such

:31:38. > :31:44.pace. But he is offside. It's a great turn of pace from Sane. No,

:31:45. > :31:50.it's definitely offside. He does the business. That's hard for the

:31:51. > :31:53.linesman, though. Hard, the pace they're going at it's difficult.

:31:54. > :32:00.What a pass this is from De Bruyne. Like you at your peak! That is world

:32:01. > :32:08.class. Some might say he is still at his peak! He backs off and allows

:32:09. > :32:14.Sterling in the box. It's a goal, not offside. He's too far away from

:32:15. > :32:18.the ball. I don't think he's influenced Petr Cech. He's too far

:32:19. > :32:22.away. This is the angle. This is the one you can see it clearly how far

:32:23. > :32:29.he is away from Petr Cech. Three yards from the ball. He is. I don't

:32:30. > :32:37.think he's had any influence there at all. Monreal has got to get

:32:38. > :32:40.quicker to Sterling. The role is clearly attempting to play a ball

:32:41. > :32:44.close to him, when this action impacts on an opponent, then he

:32:45. > :32:49.would be given offside. You are saying it doesn't impact the

:32:50. > :32:53.opponent. No, not at all. There were various players we could have picked

:32:54. > :32:57.out, particularly for their second half performance. We will look at

:32:58. > :33:04.Sane as his contribution for the whole game. In the first half of the

:33:05. > :33:12.game, when I think City in the first half weren't great going forward. He

:33:13. > :33:16.was a constant menace. Try to have an influence on the game. He's still

:33:17. > :33:20.a young kid, 20 years of age. I never seen much of him, a bit of him

:33:21. > :33:24.at the European Championships, but he's come in and only seven starts

:33:25. > :33:30.this season. He seems to be a good player. He'll do well for them.

:33:31. > :33:34.Second half as well. Turn of pace! Out to the left-wing second half, De

:33:35. > :33:37.Bruyne through the middle and Sterling on the right. That changed

:33:38. > :33:41.everything for City going forward. The movement is excellent. Prepared

:33:42. > :33:47.to go beyond defenders when De Bruyne goes to the outside. Great

:33:48. > :33:53.awareness about him. Just quality. He's got an excellent turn of pace.

:33:54. > :33:58.Pass is not the greatest, but he gets away with it. He was excellent

:33:59. > :34:01.in the second half. Flashes from him yesterday to suggest why that

:34:02. > :34:06.money's been paid for him. Did you see more of a solid Manchester City,

:34:07. > :34:15.kept the same back four that he had in the previous game as well. Was

:34:16. > :34:21.there greater solidity to them? Yaya is in there. He's a big presence. I

:34:22. > :34:26.think Ozil tried to go by him and he bullied him out of the way. They

:34:27. > :34:30.need that type of presence. For Arsenal, could you say about Arsenal

:34:31. > :34:34.what you said about Everton, good first half, not second? Arsenal were

:34:35. > :34:37.so good without the ball on Sunday. I thought they had a really good

:34:38. > :34:40.shape to the side. They carried a threat going forward. Those two in

:34:41. > :34:44.particular with Sanchez and Ozil they were very good. Especially last

:34:45. > :34:53.week at the Emirates, they looked for each other so much, the

:34:54. > :34:58.combination play is quality. They're top players. The contrast was the

:34:59. > :35:03.second half. There was no real out ball for them. The shape of the side

:35:04. > :35:07.was quite poor. Sanchez again, he was the one they were looking for to

:35:08. > :35:11.get him into the game. This is not like Arsenal giving it away cheaply.

:35:12. > :35:16.It was the players' reaction as well. When they give the ball away,

:35:17. > :35:20.static, no reaction from the three Arsenal players there, being

:35:21. > :35:25.prepared to get back goal side. He could have scored there. Did they

:35:26. > :35:29.get deeper and deeper in the second half? In the first half, they

:35:30. > :35:32.started the game on the front foot. They went right at City. They got

:35:33. > :35:36.the goal. They had that luxury of sitting deep. They had a threat

:35:37. > :35:42.going forward. Second half, they sat off deep but they didn't penetrate.

:35:43. > :35:47.They didn't close City players down. Ozil was a total passenger in the

:35:48. > :35:51.second half. It's easy to criticise Ozil. People are looking for that

:35:52. > :35:55.already. If there other aspects of this Arsenal team that aren't

:35:56. > :36:00.working, you highlighted two or three players. Totally. If the

:36:01. > :36:04.defence was dropping deeper and the space between defence and midfield

:36:05. > :36:10.and attack were greater, he's very easy to criticise. He's a quality

:36:11. > :36:14.player, but because that other side of his game is not one of his

:36:15. > :36:18.strengths, it is difficult. He's the one that gets singled out because

:36:19. > :36:23.Sanchez does so much work for the team. People compare them. But it's

:36:24. > :36:31.not just him. There is another 10 players out there. I think the

:36:32. > :36:34.energy had gone. Is work rate the important thing? Of course, it

:36:35. > :36:40.should be. Your quality then will shine through. Some players have

:36:41. > :36:44.better quality than others. First and foremost, your work rate is what

:36:45. > :36:49.you should give no matter what. I was just thinking, you mentioned

:36:50. > :36:53.there, it was the same sort of performance as Everton at Goodison

:36:54. > :36:57.last Tuesday. Similar performance, first half dominant, then second

:36:58. > :37:01.half no momentum, looking very tired. Without the ball they were

:37:02. > :37:05.very, very poor in the second half. Do you give them a bit of leeway in

:37:06. > :37:08.the fact they've begun to Everton and Manchester City in the last two

:37:09. > :37:11.games. I know a lot of Arsenal fans think the world has fallen in over

:37:12. > :37:17.the last week. They've had two very difficult away games. No. OK,

:37:18. > :37:22.excellent. Right, we don't pay you buy the word. Next to Bournemouth

:37:23. > :37:27.against Southampton. Commentary from Steve Wilson.

:37:28. > :37:31.COMMENTATOR: 30 miles apart but level on points. This is not your

:37:32. > :37:35.regular derby. It's so irregular that Bournemouth and Southampton

:37:36. > :37:42.didn't face each other at all in a league game from 1960 to 2010. Eddie

:37:43. > :37:58.Howe's Bournemouth have lost only one of the last seven at home.

:37:59. > :38:29.It's a corner to Southampton. He'll need a bigger bit of paper, I think.

:38:30. > :38:43.The first corner was interesting. Boruc dealt with. It you can see

:38:44. > :38:55.from his position there, that he is inviting a ball into the near post.

:38:56. > :39:01.The angle has gone away from him. But he has support.

:39:02. > :39:27.Good ball - in! Nathan Ake for Bournemouth. Only five minutes

:39:28. > :39:32.played and another important goal for Bournemouth It's a lovely ball

:39:33. > :39:39.into the box and Ake hurled himself at it. Jack Wilshere looked up.

:39:40. > :39:45.Delivered it beautifully. He's definitely onside. He does ever so

:39:46. > :40:13.well, Ake to get himself in front of the defender.

:40:14. > :40:19.Forster just about did enough. Not without a bit of help from lady luck

:40:20. > :40:53.here, the Southampton goalkeeper. Scores! Excellent response from Ryan

:40:54. > :40:58.Bertrand. That is a really, really good goal by Southampton's left

:40:59. > :41:05.back. Great open start to this game. Only 13 minutes played. He really

:41:06. > :41:12.caught that. Inside Smith. Around Francis. Saw that corner and got it

:41:13. > :41:16.absolutely bang on! This is a great finish. Look at where that goes into

:41:17. > :41:28.the net. Right into the side netting.

:41:29. > :41:38.Oh, a real chance. Real chance for Redmond.

:41:39. > :41:52.He knows it. A really good opportunity this.

:41:53. > :42:02.Davis immediately into the action. Francis has given it to Redmond.

:42:03. > :42:07.Couldn't finish. Ake made it hard. Boruc made the save. They're

:42:08. > :42:24.fortunate. It's a real chance for Redmond. He might have done more.

:42:25. > :42:33.Neat little dink finish and into the back of the net from Jay Rodriguez.

:42:34. > :42:36.Southampton are in front. Jay Rodriguez gets the goal. It might

:42:37. > :42:40.well have been going in any way from Davis. But the substitute right at

:42:41. > :42:45.the heart of this, whether he got the goal or not, the back heel into

:42:46. > :42:49.him is nice. It's a cute little dink from Davis. But it is a Rodriguez

:42:50. > :43:06.goal and it is Bournemouth 1, Southampton 2.

:43:07. > :43:16.Good save by Boruc. Then it deflected back towards Ake.

:43:17. > :43:23.This was a funny one really. Persistence from Jay Rodriguez got

:43:24. > :43:26.him in behind Steve Cook. It's a good save by Boruc. Ake almost on

:43:27. > :43:41.the line. Tadic to avoid beer, Redmond going

:43:42. > :43:45.for the curl and he wasn't far away. This was a really good effort, just

:43:46. > :43:57.one thing in his mind, he decided early on he would go for goal. --

:43:58. > :44:05.Hojbjerg. Redmond. Rodriguez. Good hit, great goal. Great goal by Jay

:44:06. > :44:13.Rodriguez for Southampton has surely won this derby. That is a goal

:44:14. > :44:20.worthy of winning any game. Outstanding, explosive, decisive

:44:21. > :44:30.finish from Jay Rodriguez. That is a peach. Redmond did well. Rodriguez

:44:31. > :44:36.Diaz brilliantly. Tough to hit it more sweetly than that. And for a

:44:37. > :44:42.player who has been dogged by such injuries, what a great moment for

:44:43. > :44:46.Jay Rodriguez. This must feel like a significant

:44:47. > :44:50.day, you've scored goals and played matches since your injury but that

:44:51. > :44:54.was a statement today. Thank you. It is nice to be part of the team in

:44:55. > :45:00.scoring and feeling sharp and working hard in the game, the most

:45:01. > :45:06.important thing for a player. For me it is a great feeling, and I'm

:45:07. > :45:09.buzzing. I thought we were not at our best levels today, physically

:45:10. > :45:13.and technically we did not play as well as we have in recent weeks.

:45:14. > :45:18.Credit to Southampton and they deserved to win today and we were

:45:19. > :45:21.not quite right. Southampton made six changes and you only made one.

:45:22. > :45:26.Was that part of the reason for the sluggishness in the game? On

:45:27. > :45:31.reviewing it, from my perspective, something I have to do, we have not

:45:32. > :45:35.responded well in the third game in eight days, we were not well

:45:36. > :45:39.physically from the off even when we scored. To something I will reflect

:45:40. > :45:45.on. Are you confident you can give Jose Fonte and Virgil van Dijk?

:45:46. > :45:49.Always I have confidence in all of those players in my squad because

:45:50. > :45:58.it's important to continue with the squad to develop all of the players.

:45:59. > :46:03.It is not normal to change teams every three days, some people think,

:46:04. > :46:07.but it's important to keep a good energy and intensity in our games.

:46:08. > :46:11.Playing every three days it's a possibility because all the players

:46:12. > :46:15.are at a good level and this is important for the future of

:46:16. > :46:20.Southampton. Let's start with Southampton. Jay

:46:21. > :46:23.Rodriguez in particular. You at Stoke played Southampton on

:46:24. > :46:27.Wednesday night, you are down to ten men for a lot of the game, you

:46:28. > :46:30.thought they were different in their approach in this game to how they

:46:31. > :46:33.were when they played youth. They seemed to stretch the game a bit

:46:34. > :46:37.more against Bournemouth than they did against us, Lorna Macrae came up

:46:38. > :46:46.front and we never really got stretched as we thought we would.

:46:47. > :46:51.Rodriguez has come in -- Long. He turned him, and they got confidence

:46:52. > :46:54.from that and that probably stretched the game. When we played

:46:55. > :46:58.them in midweek they just played in front of us and never really hurt us

:46:59. > :47:02.and that is why we got a point, we worked really hard. Rodriguez gives

:47:03. > :47:06.you that option, he has quality and can come to the ball but he wants to

:47:07. > :47:10.go in behind. He can do both because of his size and speed. He does and

:47:11. > :47:15.he has had a horrendous time with injury but it is good to see him

:47:16. > :47:20.back because he is a nice guy. This is quality from Davis, getting the

:47:21. > :47:24.little dink in command his reaction to read it and finish the goal, he

:47:25. > :47:30.did extremely well. He got rewarded with a one-day strike. Boruc

:47:31. > :47:35.probably never expected him to hit it so early and that is why he got

:47:36. > :47:40.that strike away. He deserves that round of applause. The reaction from

:47:41. > :47:44.the bench says it all. It shows what he means to the team, he's had a

:47:45. > :47:48.horrendous time with injury, so for him to come back, that is a great

:47:49. > :47:52.reaction from the bench. Charlie Austin is out with a dislocated

:47:53. > :47:58.shoulder, would you say they have three different types of striker in

:47:59. > :48:02.Austin Rodriguez and Long. I would, Shane Long is a player that can hurt

:48:03. > :48:07.you with his pace but Rodriguez can give you a bit of both, certainly a

:48:08. > :48:11.player that can run off defenders' shoulders too. As we heard in the

:48:12. > :48:15.interviews, Southampton made six changes and Eddie Howe made one, and

:48:16. > :48:22.he said he might have to review the way he makes his changes. Is it hard

:48:23. > :48:25.from iPlayer's perspective? The Premier League is that demanding, it

:48:26. > :48:29.is difficult. Mentally more than physically, or both? I think both

:48:30. > :48:34.but our manager made changes to freshen it up. Other managers have

:48:35. > :48:39.done the same. Obviously they only made one change and it may have cost

:48:40. > :48:44.them the game. But like you say, he will look at it and he won't do it

:48:45. > :48:47.again. Tottenham against Burnley pitted a team who were unbeaten at

:48:48. > :48:51.home against a side who have taken just one point on their travels this

:48:52. > :48:54.season. Jonathan Pearce was at White Hart Lane.

:48:55. > :49:00.COMMENTATOR: Harry Winks gets his second home league start of the

:49:01. > :49:03.season and Mousa Dembele returns in Tottenham's two changes, Toby

:49:04. > :49:06.Alderweireld, just over a lengthy lay-off, strained his back in

:49:07. > :49:10.training and Moussa Sissoko drops to the bench as they look to Mickey

:49:11. > :49:16.four wins in five. Ashley Barnes is referred just -- provoked a Sam

:49:17. > :49:17.Vokes as they are looking to score their first goal in free play in 11

:49:18. > :49:37.hours of football. Barns with the touch on. Gray. Kyle

:49:38. > :49:43.Walker running into trouble. Ward. Barns in the middle Gray

:49:44. > :49:46.well-positioned, good save, straight at him, Lloris. The shop was

:49:47. > :49:52.straight at him. Anywhere but there and it was in. -- the shot was

:49:53. > :49:57.straight at him. Burnley should have been ahead. The game is about glory.

:49:58. > :50:06.Today is to do. The slogan all around this famous old ground. I

:50:07. > :50:18.will be terribly sad to see it go. Back in by Ward. Arfield. Winks

:50:19. > :50:26.battling hard, pressurising Walker, getting beyond him. It is loose.

:50:27. > :50:31.Still loose. It is in the back of Spurs' net. Ashley Barnes. Tottenham

:50:32. > :50:38.failed to get it away and Burnley have made them pay. Their first away

:50:39. > :50:45.Premier League goal from free play since 24th of May 2015 at Aston

:50:46. > :50:51.Villa, and that is 735 minutes of Premier League football away from

:50:52. > :50:57.home. Arfield battling hard, one can, one bad break that time off

:50:58. > :51:02.Dembele. But Spurs' defending was haphazard. Too many white shirts in

:51:03. > :51:08.there doing very little. No one taking authority except Ashley

:51:09. > :51:13.Barnes. The last time Burnley won here Mauricio Pochettino was two

:51:14. > :51:22.years of age. Rose. Dele Alli. Spurs ponderous. Dembele. Wanyama. One

:51:23. > :51:26.more person here is Walker. Again, there is a good shape about

:51:27. > :51:34.Burnley's defence but they still allow Dele Alli to creep in and

:51:35. > :51:39.score equaliser. He is still a bit glum. Decent shape about Burnley but

:51:40. > :51:53.they simply switched off at the killer moment. Boyd let him run off

:51:54. > :51:57.him and it is 1-1. Walker knew Alli would be attacking into that space

:51:58. > :52:02.and he did the rest. Here is Eric Dier.

:52:03. > :52:15.Dele Alli. He played Kane in and heat and didn't really know where it

:52:16. > :52:18.had gone but it stayed out. -- Heaton. Spurs should have been

:52:19. > :52:30.ahead, doesn't matter how it stays out, as long as it stays out. Rose.

:52:31. > :52:44.Dembele. Christian Eriksen in space. It was dipping, you can't allow him

:52:45. > :52:47.room like that, not in the form Christian Eriksen it is in at this

:52:48. > :52:56.moment in time. Five goals in his last five. Looking for Andre Gray.

:52:57. > :53:01.He's got away from Eric Dier. Grey run. Andre Gray goes down and the

:53:02. > :53:06.referee says Eric Dier played the ball. Burnley are not happy. But the

:53:07. > :53:12.referee was well positioned. Burnley will not be happy when they see that

:53:13. > :53:21.again, they will see Dai going to ground. Rose has continued the run.

:53:22. > :53:31.Lowton. Christian Eriksen should have scored. Great work by Danny

:53:32. > :53:37.Rose, he spun across in. Eriksen got between the two but the header was

:53:38. > :53:42.straight at Heaton. Here is Eriksen. Great effort and that's a fine stop

:53:43. > :53:47.by Heaton because he would have seen a late, he needed a defender to get

:53:48. > :53:48.it away. But it was zipping through and wobbling as well. As good

:53:49. > :53:56.goalkeeping. Hendrik, finds Andre Gray. Dier is

:53:57. > :54:13.across there. That is a poor challenge there.

:54:14. > :54:19.Sissoko has carried through. He caught Ward, he is going to get a

:54:20. > :54:22.yellow card. It is a very poor challenge, seeing it from that

:54:23. > :54:39.angle. Lucky to stay on the football field. Arfield. There is a man over

:54:40. > :54:49.there. Ki. It has come to Kane inadvertently. Cut out by Marnie.

:54:50. > :54:55.Sissoko, Alli to his right, he feeds it left, Danny Rose puts Tottenham

:54:56. > :54:59.ahead on a classic counterattack. One of their best players on the day

:55:00. > :55:03.has scored the goal that could give them a precious victory. There is an

:55:04. > :55:09.argument that Sissoko who was part of that attack shouldn't be on the

:55:10. > :55:16.field after his tackle moments ago. Danny Rose just stayed onside and he

:55:17. > :55:25.beat Heaton with a fierce drive and he has deserved it. Super game,

:55:26. > :55:32.Danny Rose. This might be Burnley's last chance. Gray. Two men on him

:55:33. > :55:35.quickly, Davis across. Gray's cross looking for Vokes, big late chance

:55:36. > :55:41.for Burnley but it has come and gone, their last chance to get

:55:42. > :55:45.something in a game in which they have worked so hard. Tottenham have

:55:46. > :55:49.the victory 2-1. It seems to me everyone has been

:55:50. > :55:52.talking about Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool and

:55:53. > :55:56.nobody has been talking about Tottenham recently. Is it good for

:55:57. > :56:00.you they have forgotten about you? Yes, no problem, and then we need to

:56:01. > :56:06.follow our way. I think it is good to be close. Today it is impossible

:56:07. > :56:09.to achieve anything but Winnie to fight until the end of the season. I

:56:10. > :56:18.think we are in a good position, we are very calm and only working hard

:56:19. > :56:24.in that way and trying to win games. They are a top side. But we do need

:56:25. > :56:27.the rub of the green. It is a big debate lately, certainly from me,

:56:28. > :56:32.but if you look at my players' reaction to a clear sending-off he

:56:33. > :56:37.gets up. If he does 14 rolls on the floor the referee will see it. I

:56:38. > :56:41.don't know how we change this because it is a clear sending-off

:56:42. > :56:45.and been then sets up their goal so I will be bound to be disappointed

:56:46. > :56:48.for our players and fans who travelled here because I thought we

:56:49. > :56:54.deserved something. You are mumbling away. He is right. If Stephen Ward

:56:55. > :56:58.went down rolling around, jumping around and waving his hand that

:56:59. > :57:01.would influence Kevin Friend. I think if Kevin Friend sees it like

:57:02. > :57:06.he does he gives a yellow card and if he sees it as he should have,

:57:07. > :57:10.because if Stephen Ward's leg was planted, it was a serious injury. He

:57:11. > :57:15.was pulling out of the challenge but it's the action going towards the

:57:16. > :57:18.ball. He is pulling away from it, he knows what he's doing, it is a

:57:19. > :57:23.coward's challenge almost because he was frightened of getting hurt.

:57:24. > :57:27.Stephen Ward's leg, if it was planted that could be serious.

:57:28. > :57:34.Charlie? Thanks very much for this but I think it is a red card. I

:57:35. > :57:39.think Marko 's one in midweek was similar, it was a high boot and he

:57:40. > :57:43.goes on and sets up the winner. 20 seconds later. Burnley will feel

:57:44. > :57:51.aggrieved by that. I think it was a red card. Same as Arnautovic last

:57:52. > :57:55.week. Similar and he gets the three-game ban. You don't have a

:57:56. > :58:03.problem with that. He knows that, he apologised to the lads and we move

:58:04. > :58:07.on. It is the same, Marko did not intend to hurt the lad, felt the

:58:08. > :58:11.ball was there to be won and mistimed it. When we show them on

:58:12. > :58:16.television in slow motion does that make it look worse? They look

:58:17. > :58:20.terrible. With the speed of the game at the moment it would have been a

:58:21. > :58:26.lot worse in the game when Kevin Friend had seen it in real time. To

:58:27. > :58:30.book him, I don't know why. The question to Mauricio Pochettino that

:58:31. > :58:35.Jonathan Pearce put is right, they are a little under the radar at the

:58:36. > :58:37.moment, Spurs. You still watch Tottenham at the moment thinking

:58:38. > :58:40.there is more to come from them, that's the thing, even though

:58:41. > :58:43.they've had a great run, still unbeaten at home this season but

:58:44. > :58:47.they have not been as dynamic or brilliant going forward as they were

:58:48. > :58:52.last season. Apart from at Stoke, probably their best performance of

:58:53. > :58:55.the season. I would say that was the best performance against us. They

:58:56. > :58:59.have taken time to warm up but they will be there or thereabouts by the

:59:00. > :59:00.end of the season. Onto the best of Saturday's action and part one

:59:01. > :59:04.starts at Selhurst Park. good save by Boruc. Ake almost on

:59:05. > :59:16.the line. Just a couple of minutes of normal

:59:17. > :59:23.time to go in the first half. That is far too simple a goal for Chelsea

:59:24. > :59:33.to score. It's just knocked up and Costa simply heads it into the

:59:34. > :59:47.corner of the net. It's 11 wins out of 11 for Conte.

:59:48. > :59:58.First time cross. Ibrahimovic, as clinical as that. Inside the first

:59:59. > :59:59.five minutes, Manchester United with their first real attack score the

:00:00. > :00:19.first goal. It is him again. That was the right decision. Two for

:00:20. > :00:27.Ibrahimovic. Two for Manchester United. The Swede just saw the light

:00:28. > :00:31.in the corridor. The shot deflected, just off Dausgaard there. -- Dawson

:00:32. > :00:45.there. That's what it means to Jose Mourinho.

:00:46. > :00:53.Crashing in and the referee goes to the pocket and it's red. He only has

:00:54. > :00:56.one look at this. He saw the speed of the challenge and both of Vardy's

:00:57. > :01:03.feet were off the floor when he goes to make it.

:01:04. > :01:12.Oh, that's a handball. That's a penalty. It just looked like Simpson

:01:13. > :01:18.handled it as he slid to try and block the cross. He missed a penalty

:01:19. > :01:24.against Bournemouth about a month ago. He is entrusted with the

:01:25. > :01:30.responsibility nonetheless. This time he obliges. And the

:01:31. > :01:41.defending champions may be heading for yet another away day defeat.

:01:42. > :01:46.Off the inside of the post! It's two. Stoke City have made Leicester

:01:47. > :01:53.City's first half about as miserable as it could be. It's just going from

:01:54. > :02:04.very, very bad to much, much worse for the defending champions.

:02:05. > :02:17.The cross is a beauty. Off the line. Technology said it's crossed. It's

:02:18. > :02:26.2-1. Leicester are back into a game that they were seemingly out of.

:02:27. > :02:40.The technology says it's a goal. The cross is a great one! What a

:02:41. > :02:48.wonderful performance from Leicester City. The header right in front of

:02:49. > :02:56.Lee Grant gives the equaliser to Leicester City.

:02:57. > :03:15.STUDIO: There are highlights from a bumper Boxing Day fixture list:

:03:16. > :03:20.The misty eyed reminiscence of the Berlin ground. It's going to take

:03:21. > :03:24.time. But he is one of the best. Full of energy. It was one of the

:03:25. > :03:27.most bizarre incidents of the Premier League throughout the

:03:28. > :03:31.season. Talk about Manhattan on a graph, he was at the top straight

:03:32. > :03:35.away. They were fighting and panicking, nervous. It's like he

:03:36. > :03:38.went, click. I'm surprised he went in the correct dugout. His team got

:03:39. > :03:49.a good spanking. That was brilliant. Your hair looked unruly on that. Did

:03:50. > :04:05.it? Thanks for that. Is it neater now? Much more groomed tonight.

:04:06. > :04:21.What a finish that is! Middlesbrough's main striker has his

:04:22. > :04:42.fourth goal of the season. He's down. The referee points to the

:04:43. > :04:47.spot. Amat lifted his leg and left it hanging.

:04:48. > :04:53.He doubles his and Middlesbrough's total for the afternoon. Very, very

:04:54. > :04:59.confidently and coolie done. -- coolly done.

:05:00. > :05:06.Great ball in and it's finished! You would think Swansea are finished now

:05:07. > :05:10.too. It's an absolute ripper of a ball

:05:11. > :05:14.from Ramirez. It just needed stroking home. Middlesbrough 3,

:05:15. > :05:39.Swansea City 0. The ball across and turned in off

:05:40. > :05:44.the post! Sunderland in front. His third goal of the season. And

:05:45. > :05:56.crucially Sunderland's first of the afternoon.

:05:57. > :06:05.That back pass is too short. Oh, he's missed! Cresswell there with a

:06:06. > :06:08.dreadful pass. Less than a ball's width away from

:06:09. > :06:18.taking the lead, what a chance. . It's headed against his own post

:06:35. > :06:55.lead. Referee gives West Ham a penalty.

:06:56. > :07:03.Huddleston went up for it. Can Mark Noble take this chance for West Ham
