:00:43. > :00:45.Hello, West Ham against Southampton is our main game this evening.

:00:46. > :00:49.We'll also show you every goal from yesterday,

:00:50. > :00:54.and shine a light on the football and the fans of Middlesbrough.

:00:55. > :00:58.Kevin Kilbane and Robbie Savage will add their analysis.

:00:59. > :01:03.Opinion is divided on West Ham's new home, so we turned

:01:04. > :01:24.Wearing East London today to meet David, and Slaven. They wanted more

:01:25. > :01:29.space and moved around to better postcode. The atmosphere is really

:01:30. > :01:33.good, much better than anyone anticipated. They landed a bargain,

:01:34. > :01:38.fitted with all the mod cons. They have seriously big plans. It's our

:01:39. > :01:44.ambition to win the league. They also invested heavily, total outlay,

:01:45. > :01:52.?43.1 million. From the outside it all looks promising. Dangerous

:01:53. > :01:57.cross, put away by Antonio. However, there's been a few teething

:01:58. > :02:03.problems. It's another defensive horror show for West Ham. We can't

:02:04. > :02:06.defend like this. But their visitors today upped sticks some years ago

:02:07. > :02:10.and they can tell them how short-term pain can eventually lead

:02:11. > :02:12.to long-term gain. Guy Mowbray had been along to check out the new

:02:13. > :02:20.place. It took Southampton until their

:02:21. > :02:25.sixth game to get a first win at their new home 15 years ago, so by

:02:26. > :02:29.that comparison West Ham's snags on the field have been overstated. This

:02:30. > :02:34.move though does feel that it will take a little more getting used to.

:02:35. > :02:39.Their team today shows two changes from last week at West Brom, both at

:02:40. > :02:45.the back, with the injured Masuaku and James Collins replaced by fit

:02:46. > :02:53.again Winston Reid and Arbeloa. It is a return to the Premier League

:02:54. > :02:59.after seven years in Real Madrid. Clasie and Long. To the bench,

:03:00. > :03:03.making way for Hojbjerg and Charlie Austin, four goals in his last three

:03:04. > :03:09.games and to date with the incentive of upsetting a club that a year ago

:03:10. > :03:12.shied away from signing him. West Ham desperate to end the run of

:03:13. > :03:18.three successive defeats in the Premier League, whereas for

:03:19. > :03:22.Southampton, the last week and the bit have looked very rosy. They've

:03:23. > :03:28.won three games in a row, one league, one of Europa League, and

:03:29. > :03:36.one in the EFL, all without conceding. Ogbonna looking for

:03:37. > :03:40.Simone Zaza. He gets the shot away. Lovely bit of chest control from the

:03:41. > :03:42.man on loan from Juventus. It was Van Dijk who came across to make

:03:43. > :03:57.sure he had to shoot early and wide. Played in by Kouyate. Turned by

:03:58. > :04:06.Bertram. Now Romeu. Not the best clearance by Fonte. Through the legs

:04:07. > :04:11.of Romeu, onto it again and the toe poke goes wide. From the man who

:04:12. > :04:20.scored five goals in his last four Premier League games, all scored

:04:21. > :04:24.with his head. He made the last England squad, Sam Allardyce's

:04:25. > :04:32.assistant Sally -- Sammy Lee is here to rule on his latest form.

:04:33. > :04:39.There is a call for the Saints passing to be a bit more pacing,

:04:40. > :04:45.like this. Tadic to Bertrand. Bertrand back to Austin. First

:04:46. > :04:53.chance he's had of the game and he took it beautifully. Steven Davis,

:04:54. > :04:57.Tadic, Bertrand always whereof were the striker's movement is. Austin

:04:58. > :05:04.quick to point back at it. He knows why the credit is due. Still, what a

:05:05. > :05:09.good finish it is. Austin has five goals this season. They've come in

:05:10. > :05:15.his last four appearances. West Ham United nil, Southampton one.

:05:16. > :05:25.Redmond, very nicely taken down. Blocked by Adrian. Southampton,

:05:26. > :05:28.since taking the lead, have found a surge of confidence. They are the

:05:29. > :05:37.stronger team in the game right now and it looks as though half-time

:05:38. > :05:45.can't come soon enough for West Ham. Soares with a determined run from

:05:46. > :05:52.right back. It's Cedric, into the side of the net. Pierre-Emile

:05:53. > :05:55.Hojbjerg is hopping mad in the middle, he feels it should have been

:05:56. > :06:01.centred rather than a direct shot for goal. You can sense the West Ham

:06:02. > :06:10.nerves. The next goal in this game is so important. Cedric is on to

:06:11. > :06:15.that, he's beaten Antonio. Pulled it back for Tadic. A super save by

:06:16. > :06:23.Adrian. Redmond is up, but it's blocked. Adrian has just kept West

:06:24. > :06:29.Ham in the contest. Great work by Tadic and Soares and they combined

:06:30. > :06:32.twice. At the end it was a bit of a tentative finish from Tadic. Adrian

:06:33. > :06:34.nevertheless was wrong-footed and had to throw his weight back the

:06:35. > :07:00.other way to make the save. Steven Davis won't let him go. Back

:07:01. > :07:07.towards Simone Zaza, who gets to it from Romeu, Romeu not happy. One

:07:08. > :07:12.goes Feghouli. He wants Antonio to head that home. He's been doing that

:07:13. > :07:15.so regularly, but that time with Forster coming out to get it, he

:07:16. > :07:22.could only put it wide and it's a yellow card for Simone Zaza. That's

:07:23. > :07:25.a blatant dive. West Ham are being more adventurous in this second

:07:26. > :07:36.half. Never mind their defensive troubles, they need a goal now, they

:07:37. > :07:41.need to take a chance two. Tadic sidesteps Adrian to give Southampton

:07:42. > :07:45.a 2-0 lead. Tadic bags his first goal of the season. Lovely bit of

:07:46. > :07:52.Saints passing. What a contrast there is there. A pained look on

:07:53. > :07:57.Slaven Bilic's phase, pure elation for the Southampton fans. This is

:07:58. > :08:02.where it started. Reid was getting in a bit of a model with Davis,

:08:03. > :08:07.Kouyate did as well. Lovely pass from Austin and Tadic kept his cool.

:08:08. > :08:16.Scored one, made one for Charlie Austin. They have conceded two goals

:08:17. > :08:20.that in 13 of their last Premier League games, can they score at

:08:21. > :08:30.least two in the rest of this is the big question now?

:08:31. > :08:37.Here comes Southampton again. Redmond pulls back and it's just

:08:38. > :08:41.over the top from Davis. Well, they are running riot now. West Ham are

:08:42. > :08:49.finding themselves time and again hopelessly exposed. He has seen them

:08:50. > :08:52.lose both their previous games in the Premier League this season. They

:08:53. > :09:06.are well set today now. Payet can only touched the ball back

:09:07. > :09:10.Southampton's way. It has come Steven Davis' way. What a good

:09:11. > :09:17.challenge that is from Nordtveit, the saving tackle. Ogbonna thought

:09:18. > :09:21.he had done enough with the clearance. Payet didn't do nearly

:09:22. > :09:25.enough. Davis must have thought he was feeling the three points, the

:09:26. > :09:34.second big chance he's had since 2-0. Slaven Bilic, who said that the

:09:35. > :09:37.4-2 defeat at West Brom last Saturday, he said we have big

:09:38. > :09:42.problems and they are getting even bigger here. Feghouli wants to find

:09:43. > :09:47.Simone Zaza here. Going straight to Payet, bodies in his way. Payet

:09:48. > :09:51.finds a way through and it hits Van Dijk. Was that hand ball, they are

:09:52. > :09:58.screaming for it, West Ham. The referee can't have had a clear

:09:59. > :10:06.enough view if it was. It comes off the shin of Van Dijk there. Incomes

:10:07. > :10:12.Feghouli to smash it again. It is saved. Its Bertrand who goes, but

:10:13. > :10:15.the arms away from the body and West Ham should be getting the chance to

:10:16. > :10:20.get back into things with a penalty. If you can't see it, he can't give

:10:21. > :10:24.it. Adrian could lift one out for Feghouli. At least Feghouli is

:10:25. > :10:32.trying there, he's quite fortunate to get a free kick. West Ham have

:10:33. > :10:40.taken it already. Steps past Van Dijk, tries to tee up payer. He

:10:41. > :10:44.pulls it wide -- tees up payer. A cracking game now, West Ham giving

:10:45. > :10:57.it everything to try to begin what would be an amazing comeback.

:10:58. > :11:09.Forster shovels it, cleared off the line by Van Dijk. There's Noble.

:11:10. > :11:25.Simone Zaza just wouldn't get the ball down to his feet, he couldn't.

:11:26. > :11:32.The challenge on Redmond. Redmond has Shane Long to aim for here. Long

:11:33. > :11:37.has Tadic up there with him. Tadic, stayed onside it seems. It's a

:11:38. > :11:49.wonderful recovery challenge. Winston Reid got back at him.

:11:50. > :11:56.Touched on for Hojbjerg and Adrian keeps the game just about alive.

:11:57. > :11:59.Easy for Southampton to work the angles again and find the chance to

:12:00. > :12:06.finish it all off. A little deflection on that. Slaven Bilic is

:12:07. > :12:10.on one of those runs that ended -- every manager experiences from time

:12:11. > :12:13.to time. After last season's achievement, surely he's not under

:12:14. > :12:18.pressure. Southampton running away through to a third and they've done

:12:19. > :12:25.it. James Ward-Prowse has slid this morning. West Ham look a sorry bunch

:12:26. > :12:28.now. They'll feel that 3-0 with harsh. Southampton will say it's

:12:29. > :12:34.entirely justified, with what we have done today. Nathan Redmond,

:12:35. > :12:37.like so many in the changed Southampton strip, has been superb,

:12:38. > :12:42.Davis as well. There's a bit of fortune in the way it affected to

:12:43. > :12:48.Ward-Prowse. The substitute is there to make absolutely sure of all of

:12:49. > :12:52.the points today. Three of them and three goals to cheer as well. West

:12:53. > :12:58.Ham nil, Southampton three, at the London Stadium. Plenty have already

:12:59. > :13:04.headed for home. More joining them now. David Sullivan will have plenty

:13:05. > :13:11.to chew on. So we'll Slaven Bilic tonight. A fourth Premier League

:13:12. > :13:16.defeat in a row for West Ham. We were not happy with the way we

:13:17. > :13:22.attacked, when we had the ball. To be fair, we were a bit unlucky, I

:13:23. > :13:26.think. I'm not talking about the whole game, I'm talking about the

:13:27. > :13:33.first half of the game, we deserved to be up but it was like typical 0-0

:13:34. > :13:36.game. In the second half we had to not chase the game like crazy, but

:13:37. > :13:40.still you are one down in the game that you want to win and after the

:13:41. > :13:46.second goal we took a risk which put us in the position that we had few

:13:47. > :13:53.chances. It's very important to win this game against a team with such

:13:54. > :13:58.confidence, very good second half, the players have many chances,

:13:59. > :14:03.fantastic golf. What has changed? You have won for in a row. It's

:14:04. > :14:09.normally because a new coach comes coming you have new good ideas and

:14:10. > :14:13.you accept things. This is normal things, you know, you need to adapt.

:14:14. > :14:17.Our way of playing is to defend together and attack together and I

:14:18. > :14:21.think we have shown we have done that very good. Could you have done

:14:22. > :14:26.any more today to get a missing from the game? Yes, when you lose you can

:14:27. > :14:32.always do more. We play against a good team today but we need to work

:14:33. > :14:37.a lot harder to get that bit of luck back on our side and you saw out

:14:38. > :14:41.there today that they worked harder than others and they got a better

:14:42. > :14:46.result. Is confidence one of your biggest concern is now? These runs

:14:47. > :14:50.happen, don't they? We're not the first, we are not the last team,

:14:51. > :14:57.that is in this situation. It's the same manager, 80% of the team is

:14:58. > :15:01.like that. We are working hard on the training, analysing, talking,

:15:02. > :15:06.having sessions, and it's good. As soon as the game comes we are good

:15:07. > :15:12.until someone punches you in the face and then we have a problem.

:15:13. > :15:18.We will come to West Ham but Southampton played some fantastic

:15:19. > :15:22.football. They were excellent, particularly in the second half.

:15:23. > :15:27.They started on the front foot but in the second half, the chances they

:15:28. > :15:34.created were excellent. Tadic and Bertrand, excellent movement,

:15:35. > :15:39.Redmond and Charlie Austin just played as a striker. Cedric getting

:15:40. > :15:44.Paul Wood, they were the key players for the attacking element. You talk

:15:45. > :15:52.about a third man runner. -- getting forward. Austin will hold it up and

:15:53. > :15:56.you have the third man who will run off it into positioned beyond him

:15:57. > :16:02.and they had that time and again. They played with pace and power and

:16:03. > :16:06.energy that West Ham did not have. Look at the desire for people to get

:16:07. > :16:11.forward. This was the substitute, Ward-Prowse. He came on with Shane

:16:12. > :16:18.Long and they fit in the system and they were brilliant. They could have

:16:19. > :16:22.beaten them six or seven. I'm not exaggerating. Adrian with the save.

:16:23. > :16:27.Mark Noble said it himself, it could have been six. In the second half,

:16:28. > :16:31.the whole defensive unit crumbled. You have to credit Southampton with

:16:32. > :16:36.their movement and pace. And that everybody knew their role. Round

:16:37. > :16:42.pegs and round holes and they perform as a team. What an excellent

:16:43. > :16:48.signing van Dijk has been alongside Fonte. They were so good

:16:49. > :16:52.defensively. Romeu in front of them in that little three, they provided

:16:53. > :16:56.the platform that allowed Cedric and Bertrand to go forward. If you have

:16:57. > :16:59.that defensive platform, your full-backs can go on. As Kevin said,

:17:00. > :17:09.those three were brilliant. Look at the touch is from the

:17:10. > :17:15.full-backs. It's a good job we have the arrow on! Otherwise we might not

:17:16. > :17:19.be able to tell. In the first five minutes, this is them attacking. You

:17:20. > :17:23.would think they were defending their goal but this is them

:17:24. > :17:32.attacking. From the first minute, on the front foot, Bertrand and Soares.

:17:33. > :17:39.This is a decent ball into the box. They exploited the weakness of

:17:40. > :17:49.Antonio and Payet as wingers. And watch this for a pull-back to

:17:50. > :17:56.Hojbjerg. This is the goal. What a run, it is like a winner. He had the

:17:57. > :18:03.awareness to pick at Charlie Austin with a cool finish. Antonia at

:18:04. > :18:08.scored so many headed goals and his body position is strong and

:18:09. > :18:13.aggressive -- Antonio. Soares on the right committee wanted to get there

:18:14. > :18:19.first and make runs. And he had Romeu sitting in front of the back

:18:20. > :18:24.two which let him make runs. They had Tadic and Redmond more centrally

:18:25. > :18:30.and it gives them even more space. And in those areas, they had the

:18:31. > :18:34.awareness to pick out people. This was against Payet, one of the best

:18:35. > :18:39.players in the league last season, one-on-one, brilliant defending,

:18:40. > :18:42.they were magnificent. And as magnificent as they were and as

:18:43. > :18:47.impressed as we were by then, the role of the pundit is to be

:18:48. > :18:52.miserable about defending! Where there is a positive there is a

:18:53. > :18:57.negative! Neutral like seeing great goals, pundits pick apart defences.

:18:58. > :19:03.The three they conceded, we have talked about how good they were. We

:19:04. > :19:07.mentioned Antonio, he is in a great position against Bertrand. He can

:19:08. > :19:13.see the run and there is no communication and he runs off him.

:19:14. > :19:20.The defensive unit, Ogbonna and Arbeloa, Arbeloa is your left-back,

:19:21. > :19:24.he is playing as a centre-back. Nordtveit is looking for a party

:19:25. > :19:29.going forward and none of them spot the danger. Winston Reid is in

:19:30. > :19:34.midfield. He has stepped in but then you have to tighten up. It is a good

:19:35. > :19:42.goal and well worked. They get back into position. Credit Charlie Austin

:19:43. > :19:49.for the ball to him? You do. But Antonio has deceived the run of

:19:50. > :19:54.Davis. -- has deceived. For everything we look at, great

:19:55. > :19:57.attacking but West Ham have serious defensive problems because they were

:19:58. > :20:03.all over the place today and could not cope. Bilic has a decision to

:20:04. > :20:06.make. I played with Christophe Dugarry at Birmingham and when

:20:07. > :20:10.things are going well, you can carry a play like that. Antonio is very

:20:11. > :20:16.good going forward but I don't think he sees the danger quick enough.

:20:17. > :20:20.Payet is magnificent but he does not do much defensively. He brought off

:20:21. > :20:25.Lanzini at half-time. I don't think you can play with two or three

:20:26. > :20:31.players, attacking players, when you are losing games. He has to think,

:20:32. > :20:36.if he leaves at Payet or Lanzini, I don't think he can carry both. So

:20:37. > :20:42.did you carry Christophe Dugarry? He was brilliant that season, he came

:20:43. > :20:44.second in Player of the Year. Jo capped!

:20:45. > :20:55.we have a tweet saying the Olympic Stadium is a horrible place to

:20:56. > :21:00.watch. For the players, did you hate playing at Upton Park and would you

:21:01. > :21:05.like to play at the London Stadium? Of course at a new stadium. I would

:21:06. > :21:08.not say hate Upton Park but he felt intimidated, you could feel the

:21:09. > :21:14.atmosphere and the pressure, particularly as a white man, you

:21:15. > :21:22.would get abuse down the far side -- wide man. You could see how much

:21:23. > :21:23.Southampton enjoyed it. You got abuse everywhere!

:21:24. > :21:25.Middlesbrough are back in the Premier League this season

:21:26. > :21:30.Their promotion in May brought some good news to a town depressed

:21:31. > :21:32.by the closure of the Redcar steelworks a few months earlier.

:21:33. > :21:35.We went to their home game with Spurs to see whether football

:21:36. > :21:59.Middlesbrough is defined by iron and steel. It has shaped all parts of

:22:00. > :22:02.our identity. The transporter Bridge seemed to proclaim that

:22:03. > :22:08.Middlesbrough and all the site is dedicated to steal. Our iron and

:22:09. > :22:13.still built in the world from the rails ways and the bridges. People

:22:14. > :22:17.are really passionate about the history of the club and the town and

:22:18. > :22:21.there is a tremendous heart in Middlesbrough. The company which

:22:22. > :22:25.owns the Redcar steelworks has gone into liquidation and production was

:22:26. > :22:34.suspended earlier this week at a cost of 1700 jobs.

:22:35. > :22:39.Almost half the population of Middlesbrough at one point was

:22:40. > :22:44.employed either directly or secondary with the steelworks and

:22:45. > :22:47.ironworks. In the 70s you had about 300,000 people working in the steel

:22:48. > :22:54.industry but by 2014 you are looking at less than 30,000, 10% of that.

:22:55. > :22:59.The local press mobilised behind the save our steel campaign. Those

:23:00. > :23:04.steelworkers and their families, they are at the gates, it is sad. We

:23:05. > :23:15.are at Ayresome Park which was the ground that I first started watching

:23:16. > :23:20.Middlesbrough as a kid. Hendry! Goodness me it has come alive!

:23:21. > :23:24.Although it is not a long history, there have been similar obstacles

:23:25. > :23:29.and times it has almost gone to the wall also we went bust in 86 and

:23:30. > :23:35.Steve Gibson stepped in and saved it with a consortium. Bryan Robson was

:23:36. > :23:45.brought in and we had a Robson revolution, a new stadium, we signed

:23:46. > :23:51.junior and Ravanelli -- Joon Ennio -- Juninho. We then got relegated.

:23:52. > :23:55.It is phenomenal to be back and that is why we are so determined not to

:23:56. > :24:03.make this a one season wonder and try to reach for the stars. Premier

:24:04. > :24:06.League football has brought a lot of smiles to a lot of people and it has

:24:07. > :24:11.increased crowd and brought us back together again but it gives us an

:24:12. > :24:15.enormous opportunity. We don't have do explain to a developer where we

:24:16. > :24:18.are and what we are. It is that feel-good factor that is accentuated

:24:19. > :24:25.by Premier League football, it makes a huge difference. Middlesbrough's

:24:26. > :24:29.the top is not so bug at people outside the side talking about them

:24:30. > :24:32.but winning this wood. For Spurs, success would be no best six-game

:24:33. > :24:48.start to a season 51 years. Son takes it on and he beats Victor

:24:49. > :24:55.Valdes! Son, swerving and dipping the shoulder. He works it back again

:24:56. > :25:08.and he will shoot and he scored again! Spurs are nearly halfway to

:25:09. > :25:14.winning the game. In Dave Gibson! Much better from Boro -- in came

:25:15. > :25:18.Gibson. Middlesbrough 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur.

:25:19. > :25:25.You talk about iron and steel, the incident -- impact of Steve Gibson.

:25:26. > :25:30.It is always nice to see a Boro lad score, Ben Gibson. That was

:25:31. > :25:32.encouraging and hopefully we can push on and get a point at least at

:25:33. > :25:34.West Ham next Saturday. Ben Gibson is the nephew

:25:35. > :25:36.of the Middlesbrough Chairman Steve Gibson,

:25:37. > :25:37.for those who don't know. Thanks to everyone

:25:38. > :25:39.at Middlesbrough. And here's part one of our round-up

:25:40. > :26:03.of the rest of Saturday's action, The ball in towards Chris Smalling

:26:04. > :26:06.with the header! And Manchester United lead Leicester City 1-0,

:26:07. > :26:18.Smalling's first of the season. Rising high. Here is Mata. Looking

:26:19. > :26:22.to find a way through, Lingard, Juan Mata! 2-0! A superb goal, patients

:26:23. > :26:29.in the build-up and well worked and put away with some aplomb by Juan

:26:30. > :26:36.Mata -- patience. Mixing it up and 3-0! Leicester City's players were

:26:37. > :26:43.half asleep as it was played in and Rashford will not miss from there.

:26:44. > :26:52.Pogba! It is four! Manchester United are suddenly scoring almost at will.

:26:53. > :26:55.Paul Pogba getting his head on that and celebrating his first ever

:26:56. > :27:05.Manchester United goal. Demarai Gray. With an excellent shot, what a

:27:06. > :27:08.goal, a superb goal from the Leicester City substitute. It is his

:27:09. > :27:20.first goal for Leicester and what a strike.

:27:21. > :27:32.Well played by Coutinho. Lallana, 1-0 Liverpool. Brilliant work by

:27:33. > :27:41.Milner and Coutinho and Lallana's finish was simple but true. Mane,

:27:42. > :27:45.played in low, Coutinho, blocked on the line, appeals for handball and

:27:46. > :27:57.given by the referee and it is a red card. Elmohamady makes his way to

:27:58. > :28:07.the dugout. Assured. Anfield erupts from the second goal of the season

:28:08. > :28:16.for Milner. A good ball, Lallana. Mane, 3-0. Ten minutes until

:28:17. > :28:25.half-time and Liverpool are out of sight. That is an excellent finish

:28:26. > :28:32.by Mane. Inswinging... A chance and a goal for Hull. Driven in by David

:28:33. > :28:39.Meyler. It fell kindly but you have to finish it off. Coutinho. What a

:28:40. > :28:44.magnificent strike from the Brazilian. What a goal by Philippe

:28:45. > :29:02.Coutinho. My goodness. Penalty. Robertson thinks he was

:29:03. > :29:10.wrong. Here it comes. Yes, he just about caught it. James Milner in

:29:11. > :29:14.front of the Kop. Another emphatic finish, again Marshall went the

:29:15. > :29:21.right way but it was struck so firmly by James Milner.

:29:22. > :29:32.Ledley. That is a strange old ball and Defoe will get to it first and

:29:33. > :29:37.score! Are horrible goal for Crystal Palace to concede but an absolute

:29:38. > :29:43.delight for Defoe, he is always going to prosper from errors of that

:29:44. > :29:51.magnitude. It is still alive with Watmore. And then turned in by

:29:52. > :29:59.Defoe! And he may well have given David Moyes his first victory as

:30:00. > :30:05.Sunderland boss. Crystal Palace had had a really good spell and Ledley,

:30:06. > :30:10.deflection and in and now they are right back in it. And within seconds

:30:11. > :30:19.of the delight, there is once again anxiety. He has done well, Fryers

:30:20. > :30:23.and the delivery is not bad and that is the equaliser! McArthur has

:30:24. > :30:29.pounced and Crystal Palace, who trailed 2-0, they might fancy all

:30:30. > :30:35.three points now. Could this be the ultimate heartbreak for Sunderland?

:30:36. > :30:39.It is! Christian Benteke has turned this game completely around and

:30:40. > :30:49.Sunderland have been beaten in the final moments of the game.

:30:50. > :30:55.Arnautovic is in the box, that was intended for him. It will drop for

:30:56. > :30:59.Allen and Stoke City have the breakthrough. With his first Stoke

:31:00. > :31:07.City goal, Albion's stubborn resistance is broken. Four minutes

:31:08. > :31:12.of added time to come. Here's the corner, there's the equaliser.

:31:13. > :31:16.Bonbon will claim it. -- Salomon Rondon will claim it. It looks as

:31:17. > :31:22.though Tony Pulis will get something on his return to the potteries after

:31:23. > :31:26.all. Ewan-macro we looked at Stoke and how they defended on last week's

:31:27. > :31:29.Match of the Day 2 macro but how they deal with corners is not just

:31:30. > :31:32.affecting them. Overall in the Premier League this season after six

:31:33. > :31:36.games there are miles more chances being created from corners than

:31:37. > :31:42.previous years, the average has always been about 150. We are up to

:31:43. > :31:45.177 after round six of the Premier League. You're not going to use

:31:46. > :31:56.Stoke as an example, you're going to look at it from Leicester point of

:31:57. > :31:58.view it could have been several teams we pick. This is Leicester

:31:59. > :32:00.City last season. They were very good from set pieces, only conceded

:32:01. > :32:03.seven goals. Look how tight they are. Not letting the men get in on

:32:04. > :32:09.them. Very aggressive on their defending. Look at Huth and in this

:32:10. > :32:14.game they did get penalised, a penalty again. This was at the

:32:15. > :32:18.Emirates, Huth against Giroud. He is nudging him and pulling him. It was

:32:19. > :32:22.Morgan on Koscielny as well. They were getting away with this last

:32:23. > :32:28.season. This is that Southampton, watch the ball, a great bawling,

:32:29. > :32:32.Morgan hauled him and in the end they defended very well. They have a

:32:33. > :32:39.good record for set pieces. They were the champions. Let's go to this

:32:40. > :32:44.season now. Opening day. Opening day, Hull, I will roll it on, it's a

:32:45. > :32:52.good save from Kasper Schmeichel but the follow-up is in the net, I want

:32:53. > :32:57.to stop it here. Right, this here is the captain Wes Morgan. They had no

:32:58. > :33:02.Huth in this game. That's Andy King. You're asking us to look at the gap

:33:03. > :33:06.between King and his man and Morgan and his man. The new law has been

:33:07. > :33:09.brought in, penalties will be punished if you are not looking at

:33:10. > :33:13.your ball, if you are looking at your man, if you are grappling, all

:33:14. > :33:18.over your opponent. What this has allowed Curtis Davies to do is get a

:33:19. > :33:23.run on Wes Morgan, he gets a yard on him. He's the one that gets ahead,

:33:24. > :33:26.it's a good save but the follow-up is on the back of the net. This is

:33:27. > :33:33.at the weekend, Old Trafford. Smalling with a header. Let's look

:33:34. > :33:42.at this now. Again, Morgan not touch tight, fugue is not touch tight,

:33:43. > :33:47.Hurst chrome -- bus not touch tight he's watching him, and that's

:33:48. > :33:53.Simpson. Again, I want my defender to be in this position. The ball and

:33:54. > :33:58.the man. So when the ball comes in the box, nudge him. So not

:33:59. > :34:01.grappling. Not grappling, get him off balance. You want with a

:34:02. > :34:08.defender in control. Nudge him when the ball is in the air. None of that

:34:09. > :34:12.happens. In the end, Smalling gets a free header and end up in the back

:34:13. > :34:25.of the net. Mrs Pogba's goal. Again, just watch foods now -- Christian

:34:26. > :34:30.Fuchs now. Morgan is out here. The referee is Mike Dean. Is probably

:34:31. > :34:35.relevant because Mike Dean has given several decisions. Stoke, Man City,

:34:36. > :34:39.so these players before the game, Mike Dean is the rest, he's given

:34:40. > :34:44.penalties for holding, for grappling, so Christian Fuchs is

:34:45. > :34:47.touch tight but last season I believe he would have got him round

:34:48. > :34:52.him, because he knows who the referee is because of the war, I

:34:53. > :34:55.don't thing you can do that. I think Leicester, this new law is hurting

:34:56. > :35:02.Leicester. Therefore the new law has worked, hasn't it? Yes. From an

:35:03. > :35:07.attacking point of view players are knowing you can't get hold of you

:35:08. > :35:13.and it will take a cleverer sort of defender to stop the attack on. Am

:35:14. > :35:15.not saying Leicester, in general have the defenders got lazy at

:35:16. > :35:20.dealing with corners and they might have to go back and watch some old

:35:21. > :35:23.tapes from the 90s. There could be an argument for that but it's always

:35:24. > :35:29.been the way to defend corners and set pieces, ball, man, hold your

:35:30. > :35:33.man, grab -- not grab his shirt but no where he is. It's a standard way

:35:34. > :35:37.to do it. Grapple him out of the way. This is in the same point, this

:35:38. > :35:41.is slightly different with Sunderland, because you played in

:35:42. > :35:45.the David Moyes. Working with David Moyes, the corner he sets up here,

:35:46. > :35:50.this is stereotypical, this is exactly how David Moyes, that's

:35:51. > :35:54.Steven Pienaar, I can't get to Lee Cattermole but you just about see

:35:55. > :35:58.him in the front, on the six yard box, in line with the near post. Man

:35:59. > :36:03.for man across six yard box, exactly how it is coming you have Kone,

:36:04. > :36:07.Kirchhoff, man for man that's exactly how he sets up his corner

:36:08. > :36:09.with having a couple of players that are free that going that free role

:36:10. > :36:17.to see different runners coming into the box. It's irrelevant how the

:36:18. > :36:21.defendant, we look at the last one, but Sunderland do it OK. They get

:36:22. > :36:26.away with it. There's enough nuisance value. There is, even on

:36:27. > :36:29.the second one, you either the Saturday game, Cattermole is in a

:36:30. > :36:32.good position but could have conceded a goal there. This is the

:36:33. > :36:36.one I'd be concerned with. This comes down to game know-how from a

:36:37. > :36:42.player I feel within this. Look at the position of the ball out wide, I

:36:43. > :36:46.think of the midfielder running back into position you say we deal with

:36:47. > :36:49.this as a corner, this is a corner. You don't need a man in a war here.

:36:50. > :36:53.Pointless. What is done and what more doing in a wall? I don't know.

:36:54. > :36:57.They've lined this up as a wide free kick. This is how David Moyes would

:36:58. > :37:02.line up a free kick. Bodies across the six yard box or certainly

:37:03. > :37:06.ideally you would want them probably five yards further forward at this

:37:07. > :37:10.way, but that's because of the position of the ball, so you can't

:37:11. > :37:14.necessarily do that. You have to take the position off the ball. If

:37:15. > :37:17.you deal with that of a corner as we've already shown, you go man for

:37:18. > :37:21.man. You are stopping the run is getting onto you. You are leaving

:37:22. > :37:25.the best attacker of the ball, Christian Benteke, with a free run

:37:26. > :37:29.into the box. Nobody is engaging. Someone tries to close a space

:37:30. > :37:33.downed and it comes down to a lack of leadership, a lack of experience

:37:34. > :37:38.within the back for throughout the team and you have an inexperienced

:37:39. > :37:43.goalkeeper, Pickford. And later when fatigue affects concentration? I

:37:44. > :37:49.think it affected but if you defend that is a corner and you do... You

:37:50. > :37:54.are talking a matter of Agar. Two. If you deal with that as you have

:37:55. > :38:00.dealt with corners in the past, that goal is preventable. You've allowed

:38:01. > :38:04.Benteke an easy run. Poor play. New two grapple away to your heart's

:38:05. > :38:05.content. There's more football on BBC One after we finish this

:38:06. > :38:13.evening. The Women's Football Show has

:38:14. > :38:15.highlights of Manchester City needed just a point to clinch

:38:16. > :38:19.the Super League title. Two Champions League commentaries

:38:20. > :38:21.on 5Live this week. Leicester against Porto on Tuesday

:38:22. > :38:23.is followed by Celtic against Manchester

:38:24. > :38:24.City on Wednesday. And the Premier League show is back

:38:25. > :38:27.on BBC Two on Thursday evening with a special look

:38:28. > :38:29.at Arsene Wenger's 20 2 Good 2 Bad is on the way,

:38:30. > :38:48.after the rest of Saturday's goals. , good change by Fernandinho, I

:38:49. > :38:54.Guerra around his marker, and he scores. Too late to close. He had a

:38:55. > :39:06.yard off the centre-back and lashed it in -- Aguero. Sigurdsson, slipped

:39:07. > :39:13.them by Llorente. There was a foul, the referee allowed play to go on

:39:14. > :39:19.and he gets his first for the club. Silva, over the top looking for

:39:20. > :39:28.Sagna, Amat, Aguero taken away by Vander Hoy. Can -- he's holding his

:39:29. > :39:32.face penalty is given. Out comes the last arm catches the Manchester City

:39:33. > :39:35.player. A stuttering run up, the cheeky chip, it's 2-1 to Manchester

:39:36. > :39:51.City. Brilliant execution. Met by Sterling, Britton, they'll be

:39:52. > :39:54.quick to pounce on him and Manchester City will break here.

:39:55. > :39:59.Naughton is the only man back for Swansea. Aguero on a hat-trick in

:40:00. > :40:04.the middle, will he play him in? Will he play him in? He doesn't, he

:40:05. > :40:07.goes for goal and he gets it and Manchester City home and host. Ten

:40:08. > :40:27.wins in ten, the perfect start. That's sure from Cahill, Alexis

:40:28. > :40:31.Sanchez against Courtois 41-0. Does the job, not for the first time this

:40:32. > :40:41.season Gary Cahill turns away heavy hands. Alexis Sanchez thinks his

:40:42. > :40:51.team in front. Iwobi nicely done, brilliantly done. Walcott.

:40:52. > :40:56.Sensational Arsenal goal. Unpicked, unzipped, Chelsea undone. Walcott

:40:57. > :41:04.with the tap in. Arsenal two, Chelsea nil. Fabregas with a little

:41:05. > :41:12.touch, read by Koscielny, lovely turn by Ozil. It's Ozil and Sanchez

:41:13. > :41:21.against Cahill here. Sanchez, could go back to Ozil, it does. It's

:41:22. > :41:31.three. Long, long way back for Chelsea now.

:41:32. > :41:43.Now then, Bournemouth need support upfront here. It was a decent ball.

:41:44. > :41:45.Stanislas. It's a corker. That's worth so much I don't think you

:41:46. > :41:54.could blame the goalkeeper. He was 25 yards also out, but he picked the

:41:55. > :41:56.top corner. Here's the Premier League table, the win for

:41:57. > :41:59.Southampton moves them into the top half of the table. They have the

:42:00. > :42:03.same record as West Brom. West Ham have lost five of their opening six

:42:04. > :42:05.games, in a top-flight season, for the first time in their history

:42:06. > :42:18.there remains third bottom. Here's 2 Good 2 Bad. Arsene Wenger

:42:19. > :42:22.was in such a good mood in his press Conference that he provided an

:42:23. > :42:25.answerphone service. Hello? Premier League players have been working on

:42:26. > :42:37.their handshake routines training this week. Crunching tackle of the

:42:38. > :42:40.weekend was between two team-mates. Now Bobby madly forgot his whistle

:42:41. > :42:46.for the second half at Bournemouth and John Moss tried to disguise that

:42:47. > :42:51.he had done so. And at the Emirates, this kid was so happy with Ozil's

:42:52. > :42:56.shirt that he sniffed it and sniffed it, but this was nothing compared to

:42:57. > :43:03.England rugby league Sam Burgess three years ago, in his shorts, did

:43:04. > :43:04.she? Did she? She did! Thanks to these two it was the first day of

:43:05. > :43:07.autumn on Thursday. The cricket season finished

:43:08. > :43:09.on Friday, and incredibly for the fourth season running

:43:10. > :43:11.Sunderland have failed to win a league match in

:43:12. > :43:13.August or September. Their fans might want to turn

:43:14. > :43:26.off now. Sunderland at the bottom of the

:43:27. > :43:33.table. David Moyes knows what an enormous task he's got here.

:43:34. > :43:39.# Another day, another life # Passes by just like mine

:43:40. > :43:46.# It's complicated # Another night, another soul,
