:00:07. > :00:09.Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

:00:10. > :00:15.COMMENTATOR: Goals came and went. And, Keegan.

:00:16. > :00:19.Look at his face! Just look at his face!

:00:20. > :00:21.Look at that. Oh, look at that!

:00:22. > :00:42.Oh, and he's done it! Oh, what a goal.

:00:43. > :00:45.Just three weeks to go and everything still to play

:00:46. > :00:48.This weekend could see Leicester crowned champions,

:00:49. > :00:50.but the relegation battle is going to the wire.

:00:51. > :01:06.It's the teams at the bottom who top the bill tonight.

:01:07. > :01:25.Have Jermaine Jenas and Danny Murphy done enough to survive next season?

:01:26. > :01:30.Just one point separated the three teams fighting to avoid the drop,

:01:31. > :01:35.Newcastle have closed the gap on Sunderland and Norwich

:01:36. > :01:38.in recent weeks with a three game unbeaten run.

:01:39. > :01:40.They faced former manager Alan Pardew, whose Crystal Palace

:01:41. > :01:44.side still have the FA Cup final to come this season.

:01:45. > :02:01.It's a game Newcastle must win, regardless of whether Palace have

:02:02. > :02:08.been on the pop since their FA Cup semifinal with their Sam Allardyce

:02:09. > :02:11.claims. The league form of Miller and Hull has nosedived since

:02:12. > :02:17.reaching Wembley, but there's a point to prove since leaving the

:02:18. > :02:23.manager's job 16 months ago. Wijnaldum replaces Perez, as they

:02:24. > :02:28.look to build on 11 points in the last 18 year. James McArthur, who

:02:29. > :02:32.scored two in the 5-1 home romp against Newcastle in November makes

:02:33. > :02:37.his first Palace start since debris. Puncheon rooms wide because Zaha is

:02:38. > :02:41.ruled out because of a leg injury. Cabaye is back at his old club, his

:02:42. > :02:44.delivery set pieces could prove pivotal.

:02:45. > :02:52.APPLAUSE Newcastle United have insisted on a

:02:53. > :02:56.minute's applause at St James' Park to respect the victory for truth,

:02:57. > :03:05.for the families of the Hillsborough victims. Every Newcastle fan knows

:03:06. > :03:17.how much that meant to Rafa Benitez, who donated ?96,000 to that cause.

:03:18. > :03:23.Newcastle United, thus far their most important 90 minutes of the

:03:24. > :03:32.season. They have to win really here their remaining games Aston Villa

:03:33. > :03:37.and Tottenham at home. Strongly by Delaney, good ball by Wickham, a

:03:38. > :03:41.brilliant challenge by Lascelles. So the tackle that could keep them in

:03:42. > :03:48.the Premier League. Brilliant side saving challenge. By the 22-year-old

:03:49. > :03:55.full stop it begs the question, why wasn't he given more opportunities

:03:56. > :03:57.earlier in his Newcastle career? Spaces out to the right-hand side,

:03:58. > :04:08.that's a sensible ball. Puncheon rolls inside, against finds

:04:09. > :04:15.Cabaye, and pushed away by the goalkeeper. Cabaye again, stabbed

:04:16. > :04:23.out. Pressure by Crystal Palace. He chose to parry at with one fist.

:04:24. > :04:29.Coming at him at pace from the former Newcastle man. Anita did

:04:30. > :04:39.well. Here's Townsend, could be a game-winner. The fans are infuriated

:04:40. > :04:46.by that challenge. Oh, what a stunning shot that was. That's what

:04:47. > :04:50.he is capable of, that is what Newcastle fear. He can carry the

:04:51. > :04:58.ball with such confidence am such a long way with pace and delivered

:04:59. > :05:02.that dumping shot. -- thumping shot. Tiote looks right, Mbemba coming

:05:03. > :05:08.forward. Surely he won't shoot from there, and he does! He forces a

:05:09. > :05:13.decent save out of Hennessey. Looking for his first goal for the

:05:14. > :05:18.club, Mbemba. Drove it hard, pushed away confidently by Hennessey. If

:05:19. > :05:22.only Newcastle had appointed Rafa Benitez two months earlier. Where

:05:23. > :05:27.would they be? Now Colback with the cross in, dangerous here, Sissoko. A

:05:28. > :05:33.big opportunity for Newcastle, went to flick it. Anita couldn't get the

:05:34. > :05:39.cross back in. Could he have gone for it with a header? Comes in at a

:05:40. > :05:45.decent height, may be dropped into low Faure header. A magnificent

:05:46. > :05:52.diving effort, the flick lacked any sort of power. Cabaye quickly onto

:05:53. > :05:57.Wickham. Cabaye gets the loose ball. McCarter is waiting in the middle.

:05:58. > :06:01.Lascelles saves Newcastle again. The second time of the afternoon he has

:06:02. > :06:10.rescued his team. The frustration grows. Cabaye with a cross, staying

:06:11. > :06:15.wide around Cabaye, Puncheon finds it.

:06:16. > :06:25.Bolasie, good hit, parried, Dann, back into the middle. And the

:06:26. > :06:28.header, the goalkeeper gets the punch away. The pressure is still

:06:29. > :06:41.on. Delaney couldn't make it first-time. Tiote clears. The second

:06:42. > :06:45.time. Darlow has been called upon to save Newcastle United. Newcastle

:06:46. > :06:47.playing with all the anxiety of a team that knows the trap door is

:06:48. > :06:59.creaking open beneath them. Out towards the edge of the box,

:07:00. > :07:03.Wijnaldum turns and can score here. A great block, Delaney covering in

:07:04. > :07:08.behind Dann. That's got the crowd on their feet again. St James' Park is

:07:09. > :07:15.stirring now. This was a real opportunity, a cleared shot there,

:07:16. > :07:22.or there. Nervy times. There's Vurnon Anita. Delaney didn't know

:07:23. > :07:28.whether to stick and twist and has found himself in no man's land.

:07:29. > :07:31.Townsend, bumped, a free kick for Newcastle and for the first time in

:07:32. > :07:38.the game the Palace centre-back has got it wrong there. Delaney went in

:07:39. > :07:45.short, got bypassed and Dann had to come out and cover. 57 minutes gone.

:07:46. > :07:54.Andros Townsend with a free kick. How about that I should mark how

:07:55. > :08:00.about that! -- how about that? How about that! Newcastle needed a big

:08:01. > :08:06.win. Is it enough? It was special. A massive strike to inch them down the

:08:07. > :08:15.road to salvation. Bent around the wall and deliciously bent into the

:08:16. > :08:19.top corner. Andros Townsend. Will it keep the club up? That might play a

:08:20. > :08:39.huge role. 1-0 to Newcastle. Unbridled joy.

:08:40. > :08:44.yet. He is Wickham, and Sako. What have Palace got in the middle?

:08:45. > :08:48.Puncheon arriving. Cleared away for a corner ball. Newcastle were

:08:49. > :08:54.stretched. A decent break by Crystal Palace. Newcastle booze for their

:08:55. > :09:04.former hero, Cabaye, who smiles through it all. -- boos. A penalty

:09:05. > :09:08.is given, hand ball, Crystal Palace have a penalty. Mike Dean,

:09:09. > :09:14.absolutely no doubt. Cabaye's corner kick and the hand goes up. The

:09:15. > :09:21.referee deemed that Sissoko pushed the ball away with his hand. Dann

:09:22. > :09:25.appealed straightaway. Cabaye has been booed throughout his return to

:09:26. > :09:33.St James' Park, where he was once a hero. He could send his old club

:09:34. > :09:42.stuttering near the top. Saves! Darlow, understudy goalkeeper,

:09:43. > :09:52.spotlight on him! A matinee idol. Hero of the hour. Newcastle stay in

:09:53. > :09:56.front, are they staying up? What a dramatic couple of moments! He

:09:57. > :09:59.thought his team was back in it, only to be denied by Karl Darlow.

:10:00. > :10:06.Newcastle only to be denied by Karl Darlow.

:10:07. > :10:11.watch. Paula header away by Sissoko, Souare brings down. That's a good

:10:12. > :10:15.touch. Here's Delaney to the edge of the box. Out by Lascelles. Still

:10:16. > :10:25.remember that first-half tackle, it was superb. Given away by Perez.

:10:26. > :10:30.Townsend is to his right hand side. Can he play it in? He has dwelt on

:10:31. > :10:37.it too long. What effect will that mishap on the game and on the

:10:38. > :10:44.remainder of the season have? Still work to be done. In this game alone,

:10:45. > :10:50.Gayle on towards Cabaye. Colback is there, Shelvey will hold and

:10:51. > :10:51.Gayle on towards Cabaye. Colback is towards the near touchline. Into

:10:52. > :10:58.what's Mitrovic, Mitrovic in towards Shelvey. Comes back in towards

:10:59. > :10:59.Townsend, Souare defence, still Townsend. Back came Cabaye with the

:11:00. > :11:11.challenge. Rafa Benitez checks. It's all over.

:11:12. > :11:14.A mighty wind for Newcastle United. They needed success today. -- a

:11:15. > :11:18.mighty wind. A They needed success today. -- a

:11:19. > :11:22.Townsend, a special They needed success today. -- a

:11:23. > :11:28.penalty saved by Karl Darlow from their old player, Cabaye. Still work

:11:29. > :11:34.to be done. But they know perilous pitfalls lie ahead in this rocky

:11:35. > :11:38.road to redemption. Newcastle United one, Crystal

:11:39. > :13:47.don't move left. He has put his weight on his left foot, stepped

:13:48. > :13:50.across and by the time he sees the ball going the other way it's too

:13:51. > :13:54.late to react. I'm not taking away from the precision of the free kick

:13:55. > :14:05.and it's an important goal for him but too many keepers this season get

:14:06. > :14:08.beaten on the wrong side. We tend to say at this point, somebody has a

:14:09. > :14:11.good game, can he sneaked into the England squad but he has been a

:14:12. > :14:14.favourite of Roy in the past. He's been a really good one for Roy in

:14:15. > :14:18.the past, there's an argument for Townsend in terms of the fact he is

:14:19. > :14:22.every week and playing... He's a goal threat as well. He's playing

:14:23. > :14:26.better than the other two at the moment. The other crucial moment was

:14:27. > :14:33.the penalty, a brilliant save from Karl Darlow. That was a pivotal

:14:34. > :14:38.moment, a change in fortune that you need. It was, but I'm not quite sure

:14:39. > :14:42.what Sissoko was thinking. He loses Scott Dann and I think he's trying

:14:43. > :14:46.to block his vision by sticking his hand in the air. The ball comes in

:14:47. > :14:51.from Cabaye and Scott Dann is on for a clear header. But he just hangs

:14:52. > :14:56.his right arm in the air and it clipped his fingertips, and Mike

:14:57. > :15:00.Dean was well within his rights to give the penalty. He's not even

:15:01. > :15:03.close to challenging it, it clipped his fingertips as you can see there.

:15:04. > :15:11.It's a good spot from the referee, I have to say. Very good spot. That

:15:12. > :15:14.was a massive, massive moment for Newcastle and that was the first

:15:15. > :15:17.penalty that's been saved by Newcastle goalkeeper in four years.

:15:18. > :15:32.2012, Tim Krul, soak a huge moment. We picked out Lascelles, who has

:15:33. > :15:35.played six out of seven starts under Rafa Benitez. I had not seen too

:15:36. > :15:40.much out of them, but in the last few weeks he has really come to the

:15:41. > :15:44.fore. He is athletic, outspoken, which I don't mind, that shows that

:15:45. > :15:49.he cares. This was early in the game, with good positional play. But

:15:50. > :15:53.he had a lot more to his game than just that. This was the best angle

:15:54. > :15:59.of the match. He spots the danger and his speed gets him back. If you

:16:00. > :16:03.don't get the ball, you are in trouble. Decision-making as a

:16:04. > :16:07.centre-half, he knows when to get in front against

:16:08. > :16:09.centre-half, he knows when to get in And distribution, I like to see a

:16:10. > :16:14.centre-half willing to play out. This is on his weaker foot. And he

:16:15. > :16:18.showed leadership qualities time and again. I saw him getting in front of

:16:19. > :16:23.people, shouting and organising. This was a great decision. Danger

:16:24. > :16:29.behind him, it is a 50-50 choice, he does not fly in and risk being sent

:16:30. > :16:33.off, he takes it to ground and sniffs out the interception. At the

:16:34. > :16:38.other end of the pitch, does he have anything else? He has good feet for

:16:39. > :16:46.a big man. He spots a little pass to call back, you should do better. His

:16:47. > :16:50.performance was really good. -- a little past two Colback. But he

:16:51. > :16:54.showed balances of his calmness. The big question is why he was not

:16:55. > :17:00.playing earlier, because he really does look a terrific player. Indeed.

:17:01. > :17:01.Sunderland travelled to Stoke on a run of just two defeats in ten

:17:02. > :17:01.games. Converting draws into wins has been

:17:02. > :17:04.the big problem for Big Sam. The home side had lost

:17:05. > :17:06.their last three. Guy Mowbray was at

:17:07. > :17:14.the Britannia Stadium. After three successive heavy

:17:15. > :17:20.defeats, Stoke could do with the win. Sunderland needs to win. Might

:17:21. > :17:24.that prove the difference on a wet and windy afternoon? Mark Hughes has

:17:25. > :17:36.reacted to stoke's recent rotten run by making five changes. 9Haugaard as

:17:37. > :17:39.is -- Haugaard is in goal. And experiences brought back into the

:17:40. > :17:44.side in Peter Crouch and Charlie Adam, his first Premier League start

:17:45. > :17:47.since the game at Sunderland in November. Sunderland are unchanged

:17:48. > :17:54.for the fifth game in a row, the sign of a few -- few injury worries

:17:55. > :17:57.and some Allardyce being pleased at how his team is performing. Much

:17:58. > :18:02.rests on the goal-scoring skills of Jermain Defoe. Ten of his goals this

:18:03. > :18:13.season have come on the road. He has scored nine in his last ten away

:18:14. > :18:33.games. Charlie Adam, drifting away. Arnautovic. Whelan. Played in the

:18:34. > :18:40.words Crouch. And could not afford to take the chance. Crouch peeling

:18:41. > :18:46.away. He would have wanted to get a bit more on it, actually. Mark

:18:47. > :18:51.Hughes, the second longest serving manager in the Premier League,

:18:52. > :19:05.linked with Everton. He was keen to knock that on the head because

:19:06. > :19:13.Everton, of course, have a manager. Bardsley's ball in. Crouch invited

:19:14. > :19:19.to attack. Mannone was very casual, it seemed like he knew it was going

:19:20. > :19:22.wide. Not everyone in the crowd was quite as casual. Crouch thought he

:19:23. > :19:26.might have squeezed at home. Just how he likes them. Disappointed that

:19:27. > :19:30.he did not fit the target. He did not quite get it off his forehead.

:19:31. > :19:37.He has not scored since the 9th of January when he netted in the FA

:19:38. > :19:46.He has not scored since the 9th of at Doncaster. Not a bad ball in. As

:19:47. > :19:51.this was cleared away, Jermain Defoe had to McCanns in the air, did he

:19:52. > :20:00.think that that had been caught with a hand? Is there any contact? He

:20:01. > :20:09.just politely asks. Shawcross didn't know where it was for a second. Here

:20:10. > :20:16.is Kirk off. -- Kirchhoff. Kirchhoff with a back hill from Shaqiri. --

:20:17. > :20:21.backheel. Sunderland threatening to end the first half on top.

:20:22. > :20:29.Cattermole at the near post. Here is called a! All his energy and effort

:20:30. > :20:36.was focusing on turning and firing. -- here is Kone. Accuracy was an

:20:37. > :20:52.afterthought. And here is Charlie Adam. Crouch. There is a chance now,

:20:53. > :20:59.and the chances taken by Marko Arnautovic. Time for Sunderland's

:21:00. > :21:04.bench to ask questions about a possible foul and stoke to celebrate

:21:05. > :21:06.taking the lead. That could be a huge goal. The cross lifted. It was

:21:07. > :21:23.couple against Crouch. -- Kaboul against Crouch. Kaboul had

:21:24. > :21:27.to be stronger. Crouch had two hands on them. From every angle, you

:21:28. > :21:33.think, why did the referee not blow his whistle. Some Allardyce is all

:21:34. > :21:41.over him and a bit more. -- Sam Allardyce. Sunderland beaten

:21:42. > :21:44.over him and a bit more. -- Sam last four meetings between these two

:21:45. > :21:57.teams. There has only been one Stoke win in the last nine. Shaqiri.

:21:58. > :22:10.Walters. Mannone pounces and it is turned away from Adam. In Vila got

:22:11. > :22:22.court late. -- M'Vila. Adam Cottier the man, swinging the ball. To life

:22:23. > :22:28.Jermain Defoe, the man, swinging the ball. To life

:22:29. > :22:31.Kirchhoff keeping the attack going. Jermain Defoe, it won't come down.

:22:32. > :22:34.And Jermain Defoe had to work and Jermain Defoe, it won't come down.

:22:35. > :22:39.work to get any sort of chance. But it would not come down. Precious

:22:40. > :22:47.little in the way of chances all day. You have to feel for that young

:22:48. > :22:57.man. And him. day. You have to feel for that young

:22:58. > :23:10.to a season-ending like this. Put forward by Kaboul. Good, solid

:23:11. > :23:24.defending. Walters is running through. In Vila to wrap it up,

:23:25. > :23:35.could he have just surged through? -- in

:23:36. > :23:48.Imbula. Imbula did not seem to have the belief. Jermain Defoe tried to

:23:49. > :23:52.turn. And a penalty has been given. This could be

:23:53. > :23:56.turn. And a penalty has been given. jail free card. Into the feet of

:23:57. > :24:03.Jermain Defoe. There didn't seem much in it. Cameron is with them.

:24:04. > :24:07.And he put his hands on. That must have been what the referee saw. He

:24:08. > :24:11.did not see the hand in the other penalty area but he has seen this

:24:12. > :24:15.one and Sunderland have a chance to rescue a point. It could be

:24:16. > :24:23.precious. What this click be worth? Jermain Defoe. He scores. -- what

:24:24. > :24:28.might this click be worth. Sunderland level. He nearly took the

:24:29. > :24:32.net off. Another massive moment at the bottom end in the Barclays

:24:33. > :24:40.Premier League, and other channels gobbled up by Jermain Defoe. He was

:24:41. > :24:44.never missing that. All over at the Britannia Stadium. Not quite what

:24:45. > :24:47.Sam Allardyce wanted to take back with him. But in the way that the

:24:48. > :24:54.game has been played out, he will gladly take the one point now. Sam,

:24:55. > :24:59.you left it late. What was your overriding emotion? It was a

:25:00. > :25:04.brilliant point in the end. But for me, it is one that could have been

:25:05. > :25:07.the winner, rather than the draw. Because obviously Stoke did not

:25:08. > :25:12.deserve their goal because it was a blatant foul on Younes Kaboul. For

:25:13. > :25:16.me, we should have had a penalty at 30 minutes, when Cameron put his

:25:17. > :25:19.hand above his head and touched the ball with his hand. Unfortunately,

:25:20. > :25:23.the referee did not see it and let play go on. We got into a winning

:25:24. > :25:31.position, and we were quite comfortable. In the last throes of

:25:32. > :25:34.the dice, they got a break from the referee in my view. And they were

:25:35. > :25:41.able to take the point. Overall, a better performance, much better

:25:42. > :25:45.attitude to what was needed. Fascinating to watch all of this,

:25:46. > :25:50.but what is it like to be in the middle of it? I cannot even find the

:25:51. > :25:53.words to describe it. It is a lot of pressure. But the rewards are so

:25:54. > :25:59.big, so we keep going. But pressure. But the rewards are so

:26:00. > :26:03.that we will get out of it. With the players in the dressing room, we

:26:04. > :26:06.have some fantastic players, and we will just keep putting in good

:26:07. > :26:11.performances and I believe that we will get what we need. It is going

:26:12. > :26:16.to be very tight. Peter Crouch made a rare start for Stoke. How did that

:26:17. > :26:21.affect Sunderland's game plan? Only his third start of the season, when

:26:22. > :26:24.Sam saw his name on the team sheet, he must have thought, we need to

:26:25. > :26:27.change the way we play. Sunderland decided to press high,

:26:28. > :26:31.change the way we play. Sunderland number of players, in midfield or in

:26:32. > :26:35.the higher areas of the park, they knew that they had to stop the

:26:36. > :26:41.supply to Crouch, because he is dangerous. And you can see where it

:26:42. > :26:47.would work. They panic, they play long balls, and suddenly they pick

:26:48. > :26:52.up the ball. Suddenly, they are asking Jermain Defoe to get

:26:53. > :26:58.involved, doing all they can to make life harder to get balls to Peter

:26:59. > :27:01.Crouch. Even Cattermole, he was pressurising Barnsley at right back.

:27:02. > :27:04.But the problem with that, when you are doing it for long periods, you

:27:05. > :27:09.can get tired and if you can't maintain that, eventually you get to

:27:10. > :27:13.have a bit more quality on the ball and start picking out Peter Crouch.

:27:14. > :27:17.When you do that, he is very dangerous. There were a couple of

:27:18. > :27:20.incidents here where we have highlighted three or four Sunderland

:27:21. > :27:29.players that he had dragged over to one side. And he was just starting

:27:30. > :27:33.to show his effect on the game. This was the first warning for Younes

:27:34. > :27:37.Kaboul of how dangerous he is. But he didn't know already. That

:27:38. > :27:40.probably is a foul, but Arnautovic doesn't care because he has made his

:27:41. > :27:45.run and stuck it away. But this was a lovely touch, brilliantly linking.

:27:46. > :27:51.I thought I would highlight his blistering pace. He has still got

:27:52. > :27:57.it. But his involvement in the game was brilliant. And Sunderland really

:27:58. > :28:00.struggles to deal with them. Sunderland have been reliant on the

:28:01. > :28:07.goals of Jermain Defoe, and he's not letting them down. He looks released

:28:08. > :28:12.shark and I think they are too reliant on him, if I am honest. --

:28:13. > :28:19.he looks really sharp. What he has got, great feet, and the ability to

:28:20. > :28:24.make chances for himself. He did not stop today, and with time anybody's

:28:25. > :28:28.around him? A player of his quality would've been disappointed with

:28:29. > :28:32.that. That is unlucky, good skill, very inventive and creative. This

:28:33. > :28:38.one in particular, look at how quick his feet are. It is very hard dive

:28:39. > :28:43.in on him in the box, but he gets it back, six bodies around him, and he

:28:44. > :28:49.still manages to get a shot off. And this was the penalty. I think it is

:28:50. > :28:53.a penalty, a stupid, rash tackle. It doesn't need to make it, but that is

:28:54. > :28:57.Jermain Defoe, they worry about him. Nice and cool, the keeper goes early

:28:58. > :29:01.and slotted in. He deserved that. It was not just about him slipping out

:29:02. > :29:07.calls today, it was about his effort and commitment. And there is his

:29:08. > :29:11.list list of goals. His second-best season. He is playing more games. He

:29:12. > :29:16.has never really had a long run in the team. Exam complaining he

:29:17. > :29:20.thought Sunderland should have a penalty for that handball, very

:29:21. > :29:24.similar to one in the previous game. Almost identical. I think it was

:29:25. > :29:28.Cameron, and he was well within his rights to be upset. Cameron sticks

:29:29. > :29:34.his arm in the air. What is he doing? I've no idea. There is no

:29:35. > :29:37.reason for him to be doing it and there is no threat. But you can see

:29:38. > :29:42.clearly that there is contact with the ball, so yes, he was very

:29:43. > :29:45.disappointed with the goal that they conceded. If that was 50-50, that

:29:46. > :29:47.incident would have been a penalty. Defeats against Crystal Palace

:29:48. > :29:50.and Sunderland had seen Norwich slip back into the bottom three ahead

:30:10. > :30:13.atmosphere at Arsenal as some fans protest against the perceived

:30:14. > :30:17.stagnation at the club. No silverware this season despite the

:30:18. > :30:22.best efforts of Mesut Ozil who has apparently created 137 chances for

:31:00. > :31:03.the game goes Norwich's way. The ball just flicked away, but straight

:31:04. > :31:11.to Redmond, who hit it well. Cech got down well. Norwich mustn't dwell

:31:12. > :31:18.on the home defeat to Sunderland. They started -- they have started

:31:19. > :31:22.brightly enough here. Ozil squeezes it through to Ramsey, a disguise on

:31:23. > :31:28.that for Giroud. A really good blog. Martin did really well to get in the

:31:29. > :31:33.way of Giroud. It looked inviting. Good defending here. This is clever

:31:34. > :31:41.from Ramsey, disguised into Giroud, a good block by Russell Martin.

:31:42. > :31:45.Well, we are on the 12th minute of the game. A bit of finger

:31:46. > :31:51.Well, we are on the 12th minute of going on. There is some Arsenal fans

:31:52. > :31:55.protesting, time for change is the message. The significance of the

:31:56. > :32:00.12th minute is that it's 12 years since Arsenal last won the Premier

:32:01. > :32:04.League title. Some hold up their banners and some of those who do are

:33:44. > :33:47.standing there for 90 minutes sharpening your carving knife, you

:33:48. > :33:48.actually have to stick it in the joint and gets cutting. That's what

:34:34. > :34:41.Welbeck, a very good finish. No messing around there. Just get a

:34:42. > :34:43.shot win. Arsenal lead, and that spells trouble for Norwich City.

:34:44. > :35:03.With half an hour to Mbokani is

:35:04. > :35:07.I'm not sure he is. Redmond carries it. Gabriel got a foot on it. It's a

:35:08. > :35:10.corner, the first corner for Norwich in this game, desperately hoping

:35:17. > :35:21.judged to be onside there and Gabriel's challenge was important.

:35:22. > :35:26.Just over 20 minutes to play. A Norwich corner. Brady turning it in.

:35:27. > :35:32.Giroud got a little touch on it and then a swipe away, driven back in.

:35:33. > :35:36.The ricochet could have gone anywhere from O'Neil's shot. There's

:35:41. > :35:49.through from Ozil to Sanchez, Bellerin to his right hand side,

:35:50. > :35:53.ignored by Alexis Sanchez. A let off for there. Bellerin really got in

:35:56. > :36:13.Bellerin in there, Norwich would have had a big problem.

:36:14. > :36:23.Good from Ramsey. That's an awkward looking clearance. Ozil with the

:36:24. > :36:28.shot. Well hit. Really well hit by Ozil. It's a little flick from

:36:29. > :36:30.Ruddy, he certainly got a touch. Here's Ozil the Arsenal, just behind

:36:31. > :36:46.Aaron Ramsey. Howson driving on. Mbokani Bezua shot didn't travel far

:36:47. > :36:51.before it was blocked. Hope here for Norwich if Olsson can get a decent

:36:52. > :36:59.ball in. He has to beat Bellerin first. He's got a corner. 12 minutes

:37:00. > :37:05.to go. The protest resumes. Certainly not an overwhelming

:37:06. > :37:07.protest. A little flick on that, puts it over the bar. It was half a

:37:08. > :37:18.chance. Not quite the header Elneny was

:37:19. > :37:27.looking for. Monreal to Alexis Sanchez.

:37:28. > :37:36.Giroud, stabbed around the corner. Elneny, a really good save.

:37:37. > :37:44.Tremendous save by John Ruddy. This would have finished it, I think.

:37:45. > :37:49.Elneny, excellent hand from John Ruddy. Only just got it right, but

:37:50. > :37:53.he got enough on it. It's a face that tells a story, the frustrating,

:37:54. > :37:58.agonising afternoon for Norwich City. At half-time I think we had

:37:59. > :38:04.the better of the chances and maybe a bit unlucky not to go up. Nerves

:38:05. > :38:11.were tested with Cech a couple of times, obviously it's the same old

:38:12. > :38:18.story. We lacked pace in the first half, we were a bit subdued. It was

:38:19. > :38:22.a special atmosphere and we needed to keep a clean sheet and slowly get

:38:23. > :38:26.into the game. It was better in the second half, we created more chances

:38:27. > :38:30.and in the end we got an important win today. A difficult match for us.

:38:31. > :38:34.We knew they would be up for the game and we had to match their

:38:35. > :38:38.spirit and desire to win the match. The last thing you can do in a

:38:39. > :38:42.relegation dogfight is feel sorry for yourself. You have to dust

:38:43. > :38:45.yourself down and get ready for the next one. The boys showed a good

:38:46. > :38:49.response today. They didn't get what they deserved, they should have

:38:50. > :38:52.merited more. We need three performances like that in the next

:38:53. > :38:58.three games and we will get points if we can play that well. My job is

:38:59. > :39:02.to play football games and make the fans happy and I'm sorry if I don't

:39:03. > :39:06.achieve it -- win football games. We will work harder to achieve it.

:39:07. > :39:09.Arsenal never had a shot on target in the first half but entered Danny

:39:10. > :39:12.Welbeck. A big fan of Danny in the first half but entered Danny

:39:13. > :39:15.Welbeck. A big fan of Danny Welbeck, since he has been back he has been

:39:16. > :39:19.fit, strong, quick, hungry club goals. As soon as he came on he

:39:20. > :39:23.started running behind, making things happen. They were flat in the

:39:24. > :39:27.first half, Arsenal, credit Norwich, they were really good. They picked

:39:28. > :39:33.up when Danny came on and what he gives them is an intensity in his

:39:34. > :39:37.running and his work, and this is his first chance. A super finish.

:39:38. > :39:42.Big relief around the stadium. From that moment, Arsenal got better,

:39:43. > :39:45.dominated Norwich a bit more. He is so powerful when he's running with

:39:46. > :39:52.the ball, very hard to defend. A certainty for me to me to go to the

:39:53. > :39:55.euros. Roy is a big fan of him, he can play in various positions. This

:39:56. > :39:59.is another aspect of his game, the closing down, the pressing that we

:40:00. > :40:03.saw him do so well in Germany for England of course. I would suggest

:40:04. > :40:08.he properly won't just go, he will start. Could well do, protests,

:40:09. > :40:11.there was a lot of talk before the game, what it would be like, this

:40:12. > :40:16.thing in the 12th minute. It was a bit of a damp squib in the end,

:40:17. > :40:19.wasn't it? It was amazing to see. There was a hell of a lot of support

:40:20. > :40:25.store the Arsene Wenger, after listening to lots of people I didn't

:40:26. > :40:29.think there was. It's very mixed, it divides the Arsenal fans, you are

:40:30. > :40:34.either pro-Wenger or... There was, but lots of fans stood up and showed

:40:35. > :40:39.their support and chanted his name. It was a big moment for Wenger, he

:40:40. > :40:43.may be didn't expect it himself. Norwich played well, they had lots

:40:44. > :40:48.of opportunities, but you've got to take them, haven't you? They did

:40:49. > :40:51.play very well, Alex Neil is right, they defended deep in numbers and

:40:52. > :40:55.made life very difficult for the Arsenal team. It was nice to see the

:40:56. > :40:58.likes of Redmond and Hoolahan, creative players, playing in the

:40:59. > :41:01.ranks. But when you have those opportunities in these games at the

:41:02. > :41:06.Emirates you need to take one of them. They were playing a

:41:07. > :41:11.counterattacking style of play. You can sit there, Alex Neil and say we

:41:12. > :41:14.deserved more and we should have got something out of the game but when

:41:15. > :41:19.you're not taking opportunities like this, Gary O'Neil is much better

:41:20. > :41:22.than that, and Redmond, who did have a big impact on this game, had a

:41:23. > :41:26.number of opportunities, when you are not sticking those chances away

:41:27. > :41:29.you are not going to get anything. You can't expect Arsenal do not

:41:30. > :41:32.score at some point or have a chance and stick it away at some point and

:41:33. > :41:39.that's all that happened. They played very well but they didn't

:41:40. > :41:42.punish them when they needed to. Lets see the final games of the

:41:43. > :41:45.three, it's going to be two from three, almost certainly. Let's look

:41:46. > :41:50.at the final fixtures. What do you think, who has the toughest? I think

:41:51. > :41:55.Man United is a tough one for Norwich, the way United are playing.

:41:56. > :41:58.I still, for some reason, think Sunderland looks are most likely,

:41:59. > :42:02.although you would expect Newcastle to go to Villa and get something. I

:42:03. > :42:06.fear for Norwich, personally. I think they lack that quality in the

:42:07. > :42:11.final third, whereas Newcastle are on a good run and Sunderland have

:42:12. > :42:15.Defoe. Is going to be tight. Seriously tight, I change my mind

:42:16. > :42:25.every week between Newcastle and Sunderland, am I allowed to do that?

:42:26. > :42:27.I think Sunderland have the edge. At least it's exciting, who have made

:42:28. > :42:28.your boys make the title run-in unexciting. Even Foxes don't count

:42:29. > :42:30.chickens! Just your normal run-of-the mill

:42:31. > :42:57.end-of-season encounter Sigurdsson. Darmian. The near post,

:51:54. > :51:59.today going forward that West Brom just have not been able to muster.

:52:00. > :52:03.You are a goal machine suddenly. What is going on? I am not sure

:52:04. > :52:09.about that. Just enjoying my football, and when you have players

:52:10. > :52:15.around you that great stuff, Dimitri Payet making it happen with a great

:52:16. > :52:18.run, we managed to make it look quite comfortable. We played a good

:52:19. > :52:22.side but we could have done with some breaks. I don't think we got

:52:23. > :52:25.the breaks at all. The first 25 minutes, I thought we played really

:52:26. > :52:31.well and created lots of opportunities but that has been the

:53:15. > :53:19.really good season. And it was good to see one of the store works, Mark

:53:20. > :53:23.Noble, getting in on the act. Yes, he has captained them to their most

:53:24. > :53:27.successful Premier League points tie. He has been very unlucky this

:53:28. > :53:32.season not to have had a chance with England. Of course he has quality

:53:33. > :53:36.players to compete with, but he has not let that get him down. He has

:53:37. > :53:41.carried on performing well, and today he got himself into the box.

:53:42. > :53:45.Nice and brave with the finish. He has added some goals, I think is

:53:46. > :53:49.best tally this season was seven. There is not one part of his game

:53:50. > :53:54.that we would say is the strongest, but West Ham were great today and

:53:55. > :53:58.played some good stuff. This is a hell of a finish. A good ball from

:53:59. > :54:02.Andy Carroll, and a superb volley from Mark Noble. I have to say, I

:54:03. > :54:06.have been very impressed with him in terms of his leadership qualities

:54:07. > :54:11.and the way he conducts himself. There are other people talking about

:54:12. > :54:16.him, and he kept his feet on the ground. Possible for the Euros? A

:54:17. > :54:19.couple of injuries, you never know. I don't think he would let anyone

:54:20. > :54:22.down. We will have to wait and see what happens with Jordan Henderson,

:54:23. > :54:27.but if the players are fit, he will not be in. And in the week where we

:54:28. > :54:32.saw a youngster interviewed, Jonathan Leko, he said he was told

:54:33. > :54:35.right at the end there, the first player born in 1999 to appear in the

:54:36. > :54:43.Premier League. I don't know what that means but he did very well. He

:54:44. > :54:49.was told by Tony apparently. But he is very bright, 17 years old. He has

:54:50. > :54:55.bags of enthusiasm, and a hell of a lot of tricks in his bag. The way he

:54:56. > :55:05.faces people off, and he is so quick, he gave Chris well a really

:55:06. > :55:09.tough time in that first half. -- Cresswell. He just has that

:55:10. > :55:12.fearlessness about him. When you are doing things like that, you know you

:55:13. > :55:15.have a player on your hands. Here's one for the future for West Ham. And

:55:16. > :55:17.good luck to him. Watford's build-up to the game

:55:18. > :55:20.against Aston Villa had been overshadowed by speculation

:55:21. > :55:22.surrounding the future of manager Quique Sanchez Flores says that now

:55:23. > :55:36.at Vicarage Road having Quique Sanchez Flores says that now

:55:37. > :55:38.is not the time to talk about whether he will be here at Vicarage

:55:39. > :55:44.Road next season. Road next season. Instead he is

:55:45. > :55:48.targeting four out of four in Watford's remaining fixtures.

:55:49. > :55:51.Watford looking to complete the double over Villa. Kevin Turner

:55:52. > :55:54.makes his first start for the visitors, having made his debut as a

:55:55. > :56:02.substitute in Southampton last weekend. That was Aston Villa's 10th

:56:03. > :56:09.successive defeat. A change in goal, with Mark Bunn replacing Guzan.

:56:10. > :56:15.Terrific voice, just over 2000 fans making the relatively short journey

:56:16. > :56:23.to Vicarage Road. Clark, dispossessed by Giraldo. A little

:56:24. > :56:29.enquiry there from the Watford striker. And you can

:56:30. > :56:31.enquiry there from the Watford was a little bit of contact. But it

:56:32. > :56:45.was minimal. Troy Deeney, and a little touch for

:56:46. > :56:54.Ighalo. He was onside. He Troy Deeney, and a little touch for

:56:55. > :56:54.across. Mark Bunn with the clearance,

:56:55. > :57:13.across. Mark Bunn with the Watson, urged to shoot by the

:57:14. > :57:19.Watford faithful. Cleared as far as Watson. Set up nicely for him, just

:57:20. > :57:23.on top of the bar from Ben Watson. Resisting the pressure from Watford.

:57:24. > :57:24.on top of the bar from Ben Watson. Ben Watson's curling shot, just a

:57:25. > :57:42.fraction to A foul by Cathcart. A promising

:57:43. > :57:48.position. Watford have brought everybody back buying this free

:57:49. > :57:54.kick. Westwood standing behind. Ashley Westwood will take it.

:57:55. > :58:00.Towards Ciaran Clarke, turned away. Ashley Westwood will take it.

:58:01. > :58:13.Aston Villa's first corner of the afternoon. Westwood with it. And

:58:14. > :58:17.what a lovely header that is. It is a Toure figural and Aston Villa are

:58:18. > :58:22.in front through Kieran Clarke. His second of the season, but is first

:58:23. > :58:28.in the Premier League since December of 2014. Eight horrific run from the

:58:29. > :58:32.defender. Watch the number six as he gets away from his marker. Gomez is

:58:33. > :58:43.beaten and that is something of a rarity for Aston Villa of late. 1-0.

:58:44. > :58:56.Cissokho is on the near side with lots of room. As first-time ball in,

:58:57. > :59:01.often post. It came in from Ayew. Villa, so close to making it 2-0. A

:59:02. > :59:05.minimum of one minute of additional time at the end of the first half.

:59:06. > :59:18.Can Aston Villa hold onto their lead? Watson with a foul. And that

:59:19. > :59:22.will be a yellow card for the man. Abdi has very carefully placed in

:59:23. > :59:29.his bowl. Soares is also standing behind it. Abdi! What a fantastic

:59:30. > :59:33.free kick. And with just seconds left in the first half, Watford are

:59:34. > :59:40.back on level terms. He was the man who was fouled. And he is the man

:59:41. > :59:44.who has inflicted further punishment on Aston Villa. In the last seconds

:59:45. > :59:59.of the opening half, they see their lead wiped out.

:00:00. > :00:10.Jordan Ayew lines up the shot and it is a brilliant one. And Aston Villa

:00:11. > :00:13.are back in front. Jordan Ayew, who stored only once since Boxing Day.

:00:14. > :00:17.-- who has scored. His seventh of the season. The return ball is a

:00:18. > :00:42.lovely finish. It comes off Westwood. It's behind

:00:43. > :00:49.by Clark. Half a dozen corners now for Watford this afternoon. Britos

:00:50. > :00:53.and Cathcart have both come forward. It is clear the way off the line.

:00:54. > :00:57.I'm not sure whether that might have been going wide anyway. Troy Deeney

:00:58. > :01:01.getting on the end of the corner kick. That was definitely on target.

:01:02. > :01:13.The chase on here. Support arriving from Amrabat. Was

:01:14. > :01:18.Anya fouled by Cissokho? It was. What card is Anthony Taylor going to

:01:19. > :01:23.produce? They read. Cissokho was dismissed. The long ball forward

:01:24. > :01:28.from Watson, Anya was away, and Cissokho stretching out a leg.

:01:29. > :01:34.That's a red card. In the opinion of the referee. De Vreede here to an

:01:35. > :01:41.already relegated Aston Villa side won't help Quique Sanchez Flores'

:01:42. > :01:45.hopes of keeping this job -- defeat here. The men in charge have a

:01:46. > :01:49.decision to make. Watford have a worst home record than they do on

:01:50. > :01:53.their travels. This would be their eighth defeat here at Vicarage Road

:01:54. > :01:59.of their Premier League campaign. If they fail to get an equaliser. 20

:02:00. > :02:05.points here, 21 points away from home.

:02:06. > :02:21.Bercow sin towards Deeney, 2-2. -- Berghuis. Classic Troy Deeney goal.

:02:22. > :02:26.The captain, the Birmingham City fan, who writes in today's match day

:02:27. > :02:32.programme that the Premier League is a poorer place without Aston Villa,

:02:33. > :02:39.scores and possibly rescues a point for Watford. Berghuis with the ball

:02:40. > :02:46.in and Deeney with the guiding touch. We are in to a minimum of

:02:47. > :02:49.five minutes additional time. Finished 3-2 at Villa Park earlier

:02:50. > :02:56.this season and there's every chance it may finished 3-2 again.

:02:57. > :03:10.Might drop here to Deeney. What a late

:03:11. > :03:21.The ten men of Aston Villa cannot hold onto their lead. Troy Deeney

:03:22. > :03:28.with a double, late on, has surely earned the points for the Hornets.

:03:29. > :03:33.As it dropped back, Deeney, food just waited on the edge of the

:03:34. > :03:37.penalty area -- who just waited on the edge of the penalty area, plenty

:03:38. > :03:45.of room, and could see clearly where he was aiming. And did so superbly.

:03:46. > :03:51.Troy Deeney has just denied Aston Villa fans a rare moment of joy in

:03:52. > :04:01.this season of misery for them. I'm really happy that we are able to

:04:02. > :04:05.have 44 points, still we need to go and play three more matches but we

:04:06. > :04:09.are happy for that. The dismissal certainly changed things. What was

:04:10. > :04:13.your view of the decision the referee made? He probably got it

:04:14. > :04:20.right. I think he touches the ball first, the momentum, he gets it

:04:21. > :04:25.going to the goalkeeper safely and he does lift his leg so I can see

:04:26. > :04:29.the interpretation of the referee. We looked like the team that would

:04:30. > :04:33.score again but football sometimes does that to you. What does it mean

:04:34. > :04:36.for Watford as a football club, for Watford as a town and for you

:04:37. > :04:40.personally that next season Watford will be in the Premier League again?

:04:41. > :04:50.It's amazing, the Watford fans and every person in Watford decides to

:04:51. > :05:01.stay, we are working really hard for this team and it would be amazing

:05:02. > :05:07.for Watford to grow up with an amazing sense. A bit of a Spanish

:05:08. > :05:11.saying there, that familiar phrase. One thing is for sure, it's an

:05:12. > :05:16.excellent win for Watford but it was turned really with the sending off.

:05:17. > :05:20.What did you think of Cissokho? I think Anthony Taylor got it right,

:05:21. > :05:24.it was a red card, it's a fantastic ball from Ben Watson and Anya is in

:05:25. > :05:28.here. The problem is he does get the ball but he then raises his legs and

:05:29. > :05:37.legs and trips Anya, which went Anya is through on goal, that's a red

:05:38. > :05:40.card and we get a better view in a second. He winds up there, sticks

:05:41. > :05:42.his leg up. He didn't really give Anthony Taylor much choice. The

:05:43. > :05:45.problem was Villa were winning at this point. That really did change

:05:46. > :05:49.the game. It sums things up for Aston Villa, the way things have

:05:50. > :05:54.gone. Troy Deeney rubbed salt in those dreadfully gaping nasty Villa

:05:55. > :06:00.wounds. Being the Birmingham fan that he is, he took some abuse at

:06:01. > :06:05.Villa Park earlier in the season so he had a point to prove. It's a hell

:06:06. > :06:09.of a cross from Berghuis but Troy Deeney has been inspirational for

:06:10. > :06:13.Watford this season. This is his 10th and 11th goals of the season.

:06:14. > :06:17.He is such a handful. You can see the joy in his face, what it means

:06:18. > :06:20.to him. I know he talks about the Premier League being a worse place

:06:21. > :06:27.without Villa in it but it doesn't look like he cares too much about

:06:28. > :06:29.Villa there, does he? Not at all. A lot of speculation about Quique

:06:30. > :06:34.Sanchez Flores, talking about Watford being on the bus. Will he be

:06:35. > :06:36.on the bus with what asked with Watford? It's remarkable we're

:06:37. > :06:41.having a conversation about him. Watford? It's remarkable we're

:06:42. > :06:45.brilliant season,... They have Watford? It's remarkable we're

:06:46. > :06:47.new players, a remarkable story, who's going to come in who is better

:06:48. > :07:17.qualified Merseyside United, Everton have

:07:18. > :07:20.always stood shoulder to shoulder with neighbours Liverpool over

:07:21. > :07:24.Hillsborough and today, they mark this week's momentous and long

:07:25. > :07:26.overdue verdict of unlawful killing with their own tribute.

:07:27. > :07:33.overdue verdict of unlawful killing of the families of the 96 are here

:07:34. > :07:36.as the club's special guests. Their indescribable pain and their

:07:37. > :07:43.incredible determination to see justice done is recognised by

:07:44. > :07:48.football supporters everywhere. Three months after joining the club

:07:49. > :07:52.for ?12.5 million, Oumar Niasse finally makes his full debut for

:07:53. > :07:57.Everton. Romelu Lukaku rested to the bench. There's a first appearance in

:07:58. > :08:02.the Premier League 421-year-old Matthew Pennington in defence.

:08:03. > :08:06.Veteran Tim Howard recalled for maybe his Goodison farewell. Seven

:08:07. > :08:10.months after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury, Callum Wilson

:08:11. > :08:11.is back in the Bournemouth starting line-up. Harry Arter and Matt

:08:12. > :08:22.Ritchie also return. Seven games without a Premier League

:08:23. > :08:31.win for Everton, three points from the last 21 available. Elphick steps

:08:32. > :08:39.in to stop Niasse. ?12.5 million from Lokomotiv Moscow, this his

:08:40. > :08:49.first Premier League start. The corner for McCarthy. Provided by

:08:50. > :08:56.Baines. Good footwork. Good shot. Terrific goal! Just the start

:08:57. > :09:01.Roberto Martinez would have wanted inside seven minutes, Everton take

:09:02. > :09:05.the lead. Only the second goal Tom Cleverley has scored in an Everton

:09:06. > :09:09.shirt. A very important one nonetheless. Everton one,

:09:10. > :09:24.Bournemouth The 62nd goal that Bournemouth have

:09:25. > :09:28.bottom two, Newcastle and Villa, have conceded more. Wilson using his

:09:29. > :09:32.strength to get the have conceded more. Wilson using his

:09:33. > :09:40.inexperienced Pennington. Now a chance, and an equaliser. To Amman,

:09:41. > :09:44.Everton fans and Everton players turning towards the assistant on

:09:45. > :09:46.this nearside, Daniel Cook, and it's a cruel introduction to the ways and

:09:47. > :09:50.means of the a cruel introduction to the ways and

:09:58. > :10:03.away. had ago and Pugh did and the put it

:10:04. > :10:11.long. Within 2.5 minutes Bournemouth level. Bill Kenwright, the chairman

:10:12. > :10:13.of Everton, he's the man who appointed Roberto Martinez three

:10:14. > :10:20.years ago. He is his biggest supporter. Whether the majority

:10:21. > :10:26.shareholder shares that confidence is anybody's guess.

:10:27. > :10:41.Loses out to Niasse, linking up, this looks promising for Everton.

:10:42. > :10:48.All the time you fancied that he fancied a shot there. By the time he

:10:49. > :10:51.got into a position to shoot, there were plenty of Bournemouth bodies

:10:52. > :10:55.between him and the goal. Had to aim high and in doing so shot way over

:10:56. > :11:14.the target. Pugh letting it run. Wilson, for

:11:15. > :11:21.King. The chance of a shot here. It wasn't far wide. A good shout from

:11:22. > :11:30.King, to Wilson to let it run. Everton slow to close him down.

:11:31. > :11:38.Wilson the target. King is with him as well. This is Wilson, it falls

:11:39. > :11:43.wide and there's the side netting. It's his first attempt at goal

:11:44. > :11:50.today. He's a deflection. He's not going to get it. Wilson has only got

:11:51. > :12:02.eyes for goal here. Howard had his near post covered anyway.

:12:03. > :12:10.Barkley shaking off Ritchie, looking for Lennon's move. Lennon and behind

:12:11. > :12:17.Daniels and arriving is Baines. Everton restore their lead. Leighton

:12:18. > :12:23.Baines, with his first of the season. In between their two goals

:12:24. > :12:27.there hasn't been an awful lot of quality to talk about, but this is a

:12:28. > :12:31.great move. Barkley involves, good run from Lennon, Daniels, let it go,

:12:32. > :12:36.the cutback behind the man in a medal. Baines arriving in the nick

:12:37. > :12:37.of time to dump it into the roof of the net. Norwich has no chance of

:12:58. > :13:03.Afobe, who from there really should have levelled it at 2-2. -- cross

:13:04. > :13:07.in. It's a terrific run from Callum Wilson. It's a great cutback,

:13:08. > :13:12.fiercely strokes, but he finds the head of a phobia who got in front of

:13:32. > :13:40.He wants it played forward. Up against Pennington and stones.

:13:41. > :13:46.Ritchie's Drive, not far wide from Matt Ritchie. He hasn't scored away

:13:47. > :13:50.from home all season, Matt Ritchie, and he won't have come much closer

:13:51. > :13:54.than this. Good hold-up play from Benik Afobe E. Howard thought he had

:13:55. > :13:58.the near post covered. I'm sure he would have done had it been a few

:13:59. > :14:05.yards to the left. As you can imagine it's been a very emotional

:14:06. > :14:10.time and we had a very clear we had to win. We had to dig deep at times.

:14:11. > :14:17.We are a team we should really good character and it was mixture of that

:14:18. > :14:22.young player with a strong attitude and a real desire for wanting to get

:14:23. > :14:27.the win, so real satisfaction and we are moving onto the next one. I

:14:28. > :14:30.thought quite an even game, the two goals we conceded were totally out

:14:31. > :14:35.of context of the game. We have looked solid. Our goalkeeper has

:14:36. > :14:38.been a spectator throughout the game and when the chances came we weren't

:14:39. > :14:43.clinical enough in the second half. How much did you enjoy that, your

:14:44. > :14:46.Premier League debut? It's brilliant, it's a real moment for

:14:47. > :14:50.me, a proud moment for my family and friends and I'm glad we got the

:14:51. > :14:54.result we needed today. Well said, we're going to focus on him, one or

:14:55. > :15:00.two young players to enjoy this evening and he's one of them. He

:15:01. > :15:04.played really well. He did, he got recalled from his loan spell because

:15:05. > :15:08.of the injury to Phil Jagielka and the sending off. He had a bit of bad

:15:09. > :15:11.luck earlier in the game, it could have knocked his confidence. He got

:15:12. > :15:15.a little nudge in the back, a little out of position he was, and another

:15:16. > :15:21.day that would have been given as a foul and Bournemouth ended up

:15:22. > :15:24.getting an equaliser from it but he didn't let it get him down at all.

:15:25. > :15:28.He actually grew stronger because of it. He was aggressive. He was quick.

:15:29. > :15:34.He put his body on the line many times. See him here. He really

:15:35. > :15:37.responded well to the challenge. He was up against some quick, strong

:15:38. > :15:42.players today. Bournemouth have some decent forwards. He showed all the

:15:43. > :15:46.attributes you want in a young player, hunger, desire, the fans

:15:47. > :15:50.took to him which they always do when you give a young player and

:15:51. > :15:55.opportunity. He showed his athleticism a few times which in

:15:56. > :15:58.today's game you need. He tried to play as well, which of course

:15:59. > :16:01.Roberto Martinez likes from his players, as we know, if maybe too

:16:02. > :16:06.much at times. He can be very pleased with himself. Had a

:16:07. > :16:09.difficult time to play at Goodison, he showed himself to be a very

:16:10. > :16:15.capable young man and deserves credit for that. This was a double

:16:16. > :16:19.block, showed his desire to defend and put his body on the line once

:16:20. > :16:23.again. Well done to him. A big day for him.

:16:24. > :16:24.the season. The return ball is a lovely finish.

:16:25. > :16:31.A couple of common themes, young players and protests at managers.

:16:32. > :16:37.This time at Roberto Martinez. Justified? And not a big fan of

:16:38. > :16:43.protests, I am a fan of Martinez, I have to say. Last season was not the

:16:44. > :16:49.best season for Everton. This season they have at their worst home record

:16:50. > :16:53.in history. I mean, you can understand. We're just about out of

:16:54. > :16:57.time. But before we leave, let's have a look at the Barclays Premier

:16:58. > :17:00.League table. Arsenal move to within two points of Tottenham and

:17:01. > :17:04.Manchester City could do the same if they beat Southampton on Sunday.

:17:05. > :17:10.West Ham keeper they are slim the Champions League hopes alive, and

:17:11. > :17:13.they will be desperate to stop Leicester winning the title. All

:17:14. > :17:16.change at the bottom as Newcastle move out of the relegation places

:17:17. > :17:23.for the first time since February but the game in hand that Botha

:17:24. > :17:26.Sunderland and Norwich have over the Geordies could prove critical. The

:17:27. > :17:32.Mail on Sunday leads with a picture of Andros Townsend's jubilation at
