:01:00. > :01:03.Good evening. We have three more games to bring you this evening,

:01:04. > :01:08.three home nations in action and world champions. An English man, an

:01:09. > :01:15.Irishman and a Welshman in the studio. We start with the game that

:01:16. > :01:26.got tongues wagging at the draw six months ago. England and Wales met in

:01:27. > :01:27.Lens, and they needed a three-man commentary team, Robbie Savage,

:01:28. > :01:36.Martin Keown and Guy Mowbray. The first meeting of England and

:01:37. > :01:42.Wales on anything other than English or Welsh soil, and their first at a

:01:43. > :01:47.major international tournament. The teams, then, England are unchanged,

:01:48. > :01:52.the same line at the start against Russia, expected to play in the same

:01:53. > :01:54.formation. Joe Hart's 61st cap at him level with Ray Clemence for the

:01:55. > :02:01.fourth most appearances in England's goal. Only Wayne Rooney has played

:02:02. > :02:03.more games in this team. The third most experienced team Gary Cahill is

:02:04. > :02:11.the only one sitting on a yellow card. Last time England faced Wales,

:02:12. > :02:17.a 1-0 Wembley when almost five years ago. The Welsh changes, three of

:02:18. > :02:19.them from the win over Slovakia. Wayne Hennessey has had a pain

:02:20. > :02:23.relieving injection after a back spasm kept him out of that one, so

:02:24. > :02:27.Danny Ward stands down. Joe Ledley comes in the Dave Edwards, his first

:02:28. > :02:30.start since breaking a bone in his leg on me the seventh, a gamble may

:02:31. > :02:39.be? And Howell Robson-Kanu will play up front with Jonny Williams making

:02:40. > :02:44.way. Three Lions, one Dragon, this is the stuff of legend.

:02:45. > :02:54.Kane finds Lallana, Sterling is entered into the box for him. Great

:02:55. > :02:58.bit of work from Adam Lallana, he put it in the right place for

:02:59. > :03:07.Sterling. Couldn't find his perfect spot. Great counterattacking from

:03:08. > :03:11.England, he needed to bury that one. A golden opportunity for England. I

:03:12. > :03:16.wonder if that will play on the minder Raheem Sterling. He got some

:03:17. > :03:23.stick for his second-half performance against Russia at the

:03:24. > :03:28.weekend. That is a great bit of work from Howell Robson-Kanu. Bale.

:03:29. > :03:37.Walker couldn't dare risk challenging him, and it is a

:03:38. > :03:43.challenge again. Bale charges into the box. Chris, were saying this

:03:44. > :03:56.week he was looking forward to a bit of a dustup, and I think we are

:03:57. > :04:03.going to get one. It was a failing at the weekend, making it too long.

:04:04. > :04:10.And Rose has been tripped, Joe Ledley furiously wadding his finger,

:04:11. > :04:15.he didn't think it was a foul. It is a free kick for England. I have to

:04:16. > :04:23.say I disagree, he didn't touch him. Rooney is setting his sights, it is

:04:24. > :04:30.lifting towards Cahill. Well watched, Hennesey. He just about

:04:31. > :04:41.stays onside, just can't guide it in. Here is Walker. Lallana is

:04:42. > :04:49.looking for Sterling. Sterling didn't seem to see Alli. And Kane

:04:50. > :04:56.goes for it, but was it blocked by a hand? England are adamant that it

:04:57. > :04:59.was. Not a penalty for me. I don't know what Ben Davies can do there,

:05:00. > :05:04.he isn't even looking at the ball, as he can see. It has hit him on the

:05:05. > :05:09.arm, but you can't give him a penalty for that, he wasn't even

:05:10. > :05:23.looking. But it did hit his hand, you have to say.

:05:24. > :05:28.Alli blast against Davis for the corner. Dropping deep, always

:05:29. > :05:43.looking for Walker. In it comes from Rooney, Smalling

:05:44. > :05:48.puts it just past the post, not far passed it. That was another great

:05:49. > :05:57.ball into the box, this time Smalling getting that yard of space.

:05:58. > :06:02.The way Robson-Kanu set off after Rooney there, and Rooney has

:06:03. > :06:06.reciprocated a little too keenly. It will be a free kick. You can see his

:06:07. > :06:15.frustration levels rise there, it is all thanks to the hard work of the

:06:16. > :06:22.Wales number nine. You want Wayne Rooney to be angry, but you need him

:06:23. > :06:28.to keep his head. That is almost like a rugby union kick, the way he

:06:29. > :06:34.has gone back. And strike! A moment of absolute magic the Gareth Bale!

:06:35. > :06:40.Not many players in the world can do that. The Welsh legend might be

:06:41. > :06:47.writing another one. England 0- one Wales. It is that man again. What a

:06:48. > :06:55.free kick. Look at the technique from Gareth Bale. Joe Hart slow to

:06:56. > :07:02.move across his goal. It went over the wall, Joe Hart got two two hands

:07:03. > :07:08.to it, he should be pushing that wide of the goal. Joe really should

:07:09. > :07:24.be saving that. Robson is going -- Hodgson is going

:07:25. > :07:32.for broke, and he has two, or English hearts will be broken. That

:07:33. > :07:44.was a why not moment. A great strike. Alli. Nicely bounced back to

:07:45. > :07:48.him by Sturridge. Ramsay lunges in, Rooney is trying to put it into the

:07:49. > :07:53.corner but Hennesey had seen it and got down to it smartly. Wayne Rooney

:07:54. > :08:05.here opens his body up and just feeds it into the corner. Hennesey

:08:06. > :08:08.just gets a hand on it, good effort. Now, Vardy, wasn't quite full.

:08:09. > :08:16.Before Taylor arrived, and now it is Sturridge. Vardy is there! England

:08:17. > :08:21.are level. The Jamie Vardy story goes on to another chapter. Wales

:08:22. > :08:30.are asking the question about offside. The questions over Jamie

:08:31. > :08:34.Vardy are on their way to being answered. Jamie Vardy really does

:08:35. > :08:40.have the golden touch. , the hour,, the man. Vardy just waiting for the

:08:41. > :08:54.opportunity, the ball bouncing around. He is onside, it has come

:08:55. > :09:00.off Ashley Williams' head. The rise and rise goes on and on. Four years

:09:01. > :09:05.ago in the last European Championships, he was just leaving

:09:06. > :09:12.Fleetwood to join Leicester. Flinging himself at it, Davies. The

:09:13. > :09:19.referee says corner, England players say, that will do. It caught him on

:09:20. > :09:24.the arm, I don't think there was any intention in that, but I have seen

:09:25. > :09:29.them given, though. Walker against Taylor, we have seen that a lot

:09:30. > :09:38.today. Rooney sends the dummy to Ramsay. Great covering, Williams in

:09:39. > :09:41.with Chester. This is Wayne Rooney, but look at these Welsh defenders

:09:42. > :09:48.come out to block this shot. Passion from the Welsh.

:09:49. > :09:59.I feel his pain. Come on, Wales, he is saying. That is what it means to

:10:00. > :10:04.football fans. The England and Wales fans here have been absolutely

:10:05. > :10:08.fantastic. And look at this guy, and that is coming up both teams, Wales

:10:09. > :10:15.have been so deep in the second half, nothing going forward. They

:10:16. > :10:27.hang on? This is Rooney. Sturridge should be fresher than most.

:10:28. > :10:37.Alli comes towards, Vardy is in the area, and Sturridge scores! Injury

:10:38. > :10:42.time is England's this time. Talk about passion, talk about pride.

:10:43. > :10:50.This England team have it in bucketloads. From 1-0 down to

:10:51. > :10:57.winning the game. Roy rung the changes, hadn't haven't they paid

:10:58. > :11:01.off? Daniel Sturridge here, a little probing pass he makes, knocks it in

:11:02. > :11:06.and then goes, he gets it back and gets lucky, hit it off his right

:11:07. > :11:09.foot, no chance for the keeper. How he has got through that sea of

:11:10. > :11:15.players, we will never know, but who cares. England are in front. Just

:11:16. > :11:22.enough on it to beat Wayne Hennessey and to have Roy Hodgson celebrating

:11:23. > :11:25.like a man 40 years his junior. Both substitutions both scoring. Yes,

:11:26. > :11:32.England have left it late, but boy did they celebrate that goal. It

:11:33. > :11:41.might only need one more chance for Wales. Williams is up there, Bale

:11:42. > :11:51.has attacked it. There was one more chance for Wales. You couldn't put

:11:52. > :11:54.it past Bale there, the script was set. England are singing their

:11:55. > :11:58.anthem, don't take me home. WHISTLE

:11:59. > :12:08.It means everything. It is a Wim Fissette George and

:12:09. > :12:12.defeat for the Dragon. -- a win for St George and a defeat for the

:12:13. > :12:18.Dragon. England 2-1 Wales. Daniel, described

:12:19. > :12:24.to us what it is like to score the winner in a match like that. Great

:12:25. > :12:31.feeling. Unbelievable. I am grateful for the opportunity from the gaffer,

:12:32. > :12:36.grateful to God for allowing me to score and it is a beautiful feeling

:12:37. > :12:41.to represent your country in a rivalry against another great

:12:42. > :12:47.country. Have you calmed down? That was some celebration. It is amazing,

:12:48. > :12:51.isn't it? To play so well against Russia and then lose in the 93rd

:12:52. > :12:58.minute, and today it takes until the 92nd minute for us to get out, so

:12:59. > :13:03.things do even out, I suppose, but it is rare to see them even out in

:13:04. > :13:08.the space of two games. We are devastated and disappointed our fans

:13:09. > :13:15.who were right behind us. The first goal, he is obviously a mile

:13:16. > :13:19.offside. And in the last, the toe poke looks like it is deflected off

:13:20. > :13:25.Chris Gunter, but we have to show our metal now. We need to bounce

:13:26. > :13:27.back. Very early, you made the substitutions, coming on straight

:13:28. > :13:32.after the break, and they paid dividends. We thought a lot about

:13:33. > :13:36.what the starting XI should be, and of course we were aware that the

:13:37. > :13:41.game against Russia took something out of people. But I didn't really

:13:42. > :13:46.want to start breaking eggs with a big stick. I thought I would rather

:13:47. > :13:49.keep one or two up my sleeve. Congratulations with your Man of the

:13:50. > :13:53.Match performance. How pleased are you with your own personal

:13:54. > :13:58.performance? It has been good to express myself out there on such a

:13:59. > :14:02.big stage, but in general the team shows a lot of togetherness. Inside

:14:03. > :14:08.we still feel strong, we still peel happy, we are enjoying the

:14:09. > :14:12.experience. The tournament isn't over, we are in the thick of it, and

:14:13. > :14:16.we will go to the next game with even more strength. It is a great

:14:17. > :14:20.feeling to win the game the way we did, we have the qualifiers now, one

:14:21. > :14:25.game to go and we will have to finish the job off on Monday. This

:14:26. > :14:31.is the way things look in the group after that one, with one game to go

:14:32. > :14:36.for everybody, England lead the way. Wales will definitely bear their if

:14:37. > :14:42.they beat Russia, and appoint could well be enough.

:14:43. > :14:55.Did it live up to the billing, Jermaine? It was disappointing they

:14:56. > :14:59.couldn't put in a better display for Wales, I think England dominated

:15:00. > :15:05.from start to finish. I thought there were some top performances,

:15:06. > :15:10.Rooney was influential in that midfield area, Kyle Walker has been

:15:11. > :15:15.brilliant, Dele Alli, Lallana were good as well. So it was a deserved

:15:16. > :15:21.win for Roy and his men, but it was the changes in the end, Roy being

:15:22. > :15:25.brave for once and he got it right and got what he deserved. We will

:15:26. > :15:27.talk about the changes and look particularly at the work of Kyle

:15:28. > :15:32.Walker, but let's do things chronologically. Joe Hart afterward

:15:33. > :15:35.said, don't talk to me, I am the villain, these guys are the heroes.

:15:36. > :15:44.He was growing much the villain, even though Gareth Bale has scored

:15:45. > :15:48.two free kicks in two games? He is a goalkeeper, and they all make the

:15:49. > :15:53.stakes. He will admit that this is a mistake, he cannot get beaten from

:15:54. > :16:02.that range. On the training ground you could do that a hundred times,

:16:03. > :16:13.and unless the ball goes in off the but bar, you don't miss those. He

:16:14. > :16:17.gets to the ball, but he pushes it into the net, that is what I don't

:16:18. > :16:23.understand. He has time to adjust his feet, but he hasn't got strong

:16:24. > :16:26.enough hands to it. He is a big enough and bold enough character, he

:16:27. > :16:31.would say to us all, that was poor from me. We can all sit here and

:16:32. > :16:35.analyse it, he got both hands to it and he needs to stop it, but it was

:16:36. > :16:41.a mistake. He was very thankful to his team-mates for bringing him out,

:16:42. > :16:45.it is the first time that England have gone in a major tournament from

:16:46. > :16:54.behind of half-time to win a game. With the changes brave obvious?

:16:55. > :16:59.Obvious, but born out of necessity. England were not affecting the goal

:17:00. > :17:05.at all, and they have the Player of the Year sitting on the bench, he

:17:06. > :17:12.has to come on. It was brave to bring them both on the same time. It

:17:13. > :17:15.goes against what Roy usually does, he is very pragmatic in his

:17:16. > :17:18.approach, that is why he started with the players that lacked that

:17:19. > :17:22.cutting edge against Russia, saving him to not only bring Vardy and

:17:23. > :17:27.Sturridge on, but to go one more than that and bring on Rashford, I

:17:28. > :17:35.thought you have to give him credit for that causes it out of his

:17:36. > :17:40.comfort zone. It is easy if you have Vardy, Sturridge and one of the best

:17:41. > :17:45.young players in the league on the bench sat behind you to make them

:17:46. > :17:50.changes. Vardy, that is not luck. He has been doing that all season. He

:17:51. > :17:55.sniffs the goal out, he has that instinct you can't teach strikers.

:17:56. > :18:00.Sturridge has the same thing, that is why they get goals. The more

:18:01. > :18:05.goal-scorers you put on the pitch, the more chances you get of scoring

:18:06. > :18:12.goals. I think he just has to strike it a bit, just put him off there.

:18:13. > :18:19.And that is why it wasn't offside, because it came off the defender. He

:18:20. > :18:23.hasn't got the same instinct as Vardy and Sturridge, that is the

:18:24. > :18:30.difference. And the winner this time around. Here's a class act,

:18:31. > :18:33.Sturridge, it surprised me how deep you played when he came on, but he

:18:34. > :18:38.is so influential in making things happen. He is just waiting for the

:18:39. > :18:43.smallest gap to appear, and then he burst to life. It is how quickly get

:18:44. > :18:48.that shot off. A lot of people might question Hennesey here, but it is

:18:49. > :18:54.how quick, sometimes with no backlift you can catch keepers out.

:18:55. > :19:00.When he picked the ball up there, I thought, oh, no. Sturridge creates

:19:01. > :19:02.goals out of nothing, and if you run into the middle of the goal,

:19:03. > :19:07.sometimes the ball does come your way, and maybe Hennesey, you think

:19:08. > :19:13.you probably should have saved it, but I think it might have got a

:19:14. > :19:17.deflection. There is no backlift, he has hit it early and his reaction

:19:18. > :19:20.wasn't quick enough to keep it, it has hit him on the leg and gone in,

:19:21. > :19:28.because I think he should get down and says that because he is there.

:19:29. > :19:34.You are being tough tonight! I'm trying to be a perfectionist. I

:19:35. > :19:41.don't want to give England too much credit, although they thoroughly

:19:42. > :19:48.deserved the win. You know that saying, make it happen, he made that

:19:49. > :19:52.goal happen by being positive. Let's talk about Kyle Walker. He was the

:19:53. > :19:57.outstanding player on the pitch. Not only today, in the last game against

:19:58. > :20:03.Russia, him and Danny Rose have been hugely influential for England.

:20:04. > :20:07.Wales, usually their wingbacks are their gap, and he just didn't allow

:20:08. > :20:12.Neil Taylor to get anywhere near any type of attacking position on the

:20:13. > :20:17.pitch today. He had him on toast, we say in the game, because any time he

:20:18. > :20:21.faced him up, he said, I am going to go past you. He could have delivered

:20:22. > :20:25.a better ball there, but there is no negative thought in his mind when he

:20:26. > :20:30.picks up the ball. All he thinks is, I am getting this and I am going by

:20:31. > :20:33.him. The cameras yardage he has given him now, but he just thinks he

:20:34. > :20:37.is that quick, and that was a brilliant delivery. He is deep in

:20:38. > :20:42.his own half here late on in the game, and look at the energy, the

:20:43. > :20:45.legs, the pace. Thankfully for Wales, Joe Allen came across in

:20:46. > :20:52.covers, because that is what it came to in the end. This just shows the

:20:53. > :20:55.influence he had in the second half, sorry in that game, in the

:20:56. > :21:01.opposition's half. 58 touches from right back, that is phenomenal. He

:21:02. > :21:05.is there to man, and it was a pleasure to see. And it is telling

:21:06. > :21:10.the Aaron Ramsey and the opposition half had almost half the touches

:21:11. > :21:19.that Kyle Walker had. I know he said he was Wales's most effective

:21:20. > :21:23.player, but he wasn't allowed at times. We didn't play well enough,

:21:24. > :21:27.we didn't keep the ball well enough, if you don't pass the ball, the

:21:28. > :21:34.system won't work. They couldn't keep it high enough up the pitch to

:21:35. > :21:39.have an outlet. He is a really good player, that we change the system

:21:40. > :21:43.slightly, I thought we missed Jonny Williams little bit. Robson-Kanu

:21:44. > :21:49.gave us a little bit of strength. He is making tackles. We didn't link

:21:50. > :21:54.the players as well as we should. England have played well, we got

:21:55. > :21:58.beaten by a better team, but we haven't played like we can play, and

:21:59. > :22:08.are there is getting more and more frustrated. Look where Chris Gunter

:22:09. > :22:14.is, against Slovakia he was 30 yards in front of him. We can't get out of

:22:15. > :22:18.our half, and that is partly due to England's pressing and partly due to

:22:19. > :22:23.us not passing the ball like we can do. This is where the backline was

:22:24. > :22:27.against Slovakia, and this is what England have done to us today. We

:22:28. > :22:31.have gone back 20 yards further, and that is why it Chris Gunter couldn't

:22:32. > :22:37.have the effect, and Neil Taylor, that was partly down to walk as

:22:38. > :22:41.well. Gareth Bale said Wales can be really positive going into their

:22:42. > :22:45.final game, and England's conundrum is who do they play. Marcus Rashford

:22:46. > :22:51.was good when he came on, but does he play for Sterling? I think he

:22:52. > :22:54.will make quite a few changes. It wouldn't surprise me to see the

:22:55. > :22:59.full-backs change. He has a good squad, Neil alluded to it earlier.

:23:00. > :23:02.Bring on Player of the Year, and he has got Sturridge, top players. Does

:23:03. > :23:10.you go with Rashford, Vardy or Sturridge? Is there a problem

:23:11. > :23:16.through the middle? I think Sturridge is fantastic. There is no

:23:17. > :23:24.argument not to go with Kane again, he needs a goal. He will causing him

:23:25. > :23:36.problems, so it might be more problematic, maybe to start with

:23:37. > :23:40.them. That was Lens. In Lyon, Northern Ireland took on Ukraine.

:23:41. > :23:45.You might have heard this man here say that he fancied Northern Ireland

:23:46. > :23:50.for the win. Gerry Armstrong is in the commentary box.

:23:51. > :23:59.COMMENTATOR: Defeat here in Lyon could mean a Northern Ireland are

:24:00. > :24:03.eliminated today depending on the outcome of the Germany- Poland

:24:04. > :24:11.match, and the same goes to Ukraine. It is that important for both. One

:24:12. > :24:26.change to the side which lost to Germany, Celestion off -- Seleznyov.

:24:27. > :24:31.And look out for Viktor Kovalenko, the bright young thing. Michael

:24:32. > :24:35.O'Neill has brought the change of formation and five changes in

:24:36. > :24:40.personnel. In come are accused, Corry Evans and Conor Washington,

:24:41. > :24:49.I'd go Conor McLaughlin, Paddy McNair, Shane Ferguson and Kyle

:24:50. > :24:52.Lafferty. 36-year-old Aaron Hughes wins a 101st cap, his first start

:24:53. > :25:02.for his country since a match against Qatar in May 20 15.

:25:03. > :25:11.Steven Davies making himself available, it goes back to Jonny

:25:12. > :25:17.Evans from Dallas. The shot was a good one. A good effort, well worth

:25:18. > :25:25.the effort, it zips just in front of the goalkeeper, and give credit to

:25:26. > :25:38.peer toff. He gets his body well behind it. -- Pyatov. Ward has the

:25:39. > :25:43.Cross in, Washington! That is what you want, a good change of pace,

:25:44. > :25:47.wonderful ball from Jamie Ward, and is there a little push in the back?

:25:48. > :25:57.There is contact but it is minimum. Excellent play.

:25:58. > :26:05.The applause breaks out amongst the Northern Ireland supporters for one

:26:06. > :26:11.of their own who sadly passed away in an accident this week here,

:26:12. > :26:25.Darren Ward is, a 25 Rod Fanni Northern Ireland. -- Darren Rogers,

:26:26. > :26:35.a 25-year-old fan of Northern Ireland. Is this a corner? It is. It

:26:36. > :26:43.was pinging about, it just wouldn't quite fall. You can see they are

:26:44. > :26:53.desperate to block the challenge, and then Steve Davis takes control

:26:54. > :26:59.and wins the corner kick. Moving towards the penalty spot, and it is

:27:00. > :27:05.Cathcart! Oh, my goodness. Good movement, not far off target.

:27:06. > :27:07.Particularly good at set blaze, I thought that was excellent.

:27:08. > :27:24.Excellent set play. That look like handball, you heard

:27:25. > :27:31.the shout, and the referee has given it. He almost caught it with his

:27:32. > :27:35.right arm, but frustration is starting to creep in with the

:27:36. > :27:45.Ukrainian players. Frustration that things are not going their own way.

:27:46. > :27:49.That is a good free kick, Davis can pull this back, and Pyatov Osei hand

:27:50. > :27:58.to it. Identifying anyone expected that. A clever, clever free kick, I

:27:59. > :28:01.think that has been rehearsed. Steve Davis, and from a deep position.

:28:02. > :28:22.Pyatov just had to get a hand to it. The foul by Cathcart. An Kovalenko.

:28:23. > :28:23.Ukraine have a free kick and an opportunity to try to create

:28:24. > :28:49.something. Fedetskiy is lurking on the edge of

:28:50. > :28:55.the penalty area. Kasia -- Khacheridi on the back post.

:28:56. > :28:59.Excellent defending from Gareth McAuley coming indie to the far

:29:00. > :29:07.post. This is Ukraine's first corner of the game. Driven to the near post

:29:08. > :29:13.and just headed wide by Seleznyov. It needed a real glance. It was a

:29:14. > :29:17.good cross, drilled in the near post, and he just needs to get the

:29:18. > :29:22.slightest of touch on it, and he gets too good a contact, I think,

:29:23. > :29:30.and misses the near post. That was an excellent delivery. Khacheridi

:29:31. > :29:39.and then Stepanenko are away. Northern Ireland have the free kick.

:29:40. > :29:46.Conor Washington did very well that a hold-up play. Free kick, an

:29:47. > :29:55.opportunity for Oliver North to put a good ball into the area. Cathcart

:29:56. > :30:04.is forward, too, and that is it from Gareth McAuley for Northern Ireland!

:30:05. > :30:12.He has had an unbelievable couple of seasons, Gareth McAuley. And he

:30:13. > :30:19.heads Northern Ireland in front. 1-0, what a header. He towers above

:30:20. > :30:25.everybody, and he Hammers it into the far corner, it is his eighth

:30:26. > :30:26.goal. And that could be the goal that takes Northern Ireland through

:30:27. > :30:41.to the latter stages. That shot, Gareth McAuley running

:30:42. > :30:44.away into -- in torrential rain and absolute ecstasy. One of the shots

:30:45. > :30:59.of the tournament so far. McGovern has just dropped it right

:31:00. > :31:02.on the line. They almost hit back immediately. Seleznyov gets a

:31:03. > :31:07.contact, but the goalkeeper is just in the right place at the right

:31:08. > :31:09.time. Great wee flexes from Michael McGovern, stop it and then hold onto

:31:10. > :31:29.it. The shot is good, pushed out by

:31:30. > :31:35.McGovern. Yarmolenko coming alive. Really good save.

:31:36. > :31:39.A super piece of skill. It's a long way out, but it moves. That's why

:31:40. > :31:44.he's that top goal-scorer with 24 goals, looking for his 25th. Michael

:31:45. > :31:49.said, close them down, don't let them do that.

:31:50. > :32:04.Even better here, Steven Davis, McGuinness in the middle. McGuinness

:32:05. > :32:15.has done well. Good save... Tap in! 2-0. Victory for Northern Ireland.

:32:16. > :32:26.The build-up was fantastic. They kept their compared. The shot was

:32:27. > :32:29.big. Pyatov tried a great fave, but great play from McGuinness. He can't

:32:30. > :32:37.sit back and that the shot from Davidson. Look at this, first to the

:32:38. > :32:41.rebound, what a goal. We went at it against Poland in the

:32:42. > :32:46.standards we wanted to play against. Tonight was a lots better.

:32:47. > :32:53.To score a first golf in Northern Ireland at a major wonderment, what

:32:54. > :32:58.a moment. It's special, it will thinking over the next few days. The

:32:59. > :33:03.team performance was pleasing tonight. We've got a tough going to

:33:04. > :33:09.look forward to and we've got someone to play for. A hugely proud

:33:10. > :33:13.day for me and the country as well. It's our 12th win in the European

:33:14. > :33:20.Championship finals so it must be our first win. -- it's our first

:33:21. > :33:23.time. I'm most proud of how the players reacted to the defeat in the

:33:24. > :33:29.first game and the disappointment of the first game. I thought today,

:33:30. > :33:35.everything was magnificent. To win a game myself, you're play against the

:33:36. > :33:38.best games in Europe. I thought we let ourselves down against Poland

:33:39. > :33:44.but we knew we had to come out and attack and create shots. To come

:33:45. > :33:48.here and keep a clean sheet and get three points is just unbelievable.

:33:49. > :33:52.We started the game in the right manner. Good intensity throughout

:33:53. > :33:55.the game, putting our stamp of authority throughout the game. We

:33:56. > :33:59.got our rewards in the end of Lee deserved the victory. The green and

:34:00. > :34:07.white army thoroughly deserved that, and rightly so. Five changes from

:34:08. > :34:14.the first game. That's brave. It brought about a really memorable

:34:15. > :34:20.win. It was a tactical masterclass. This is the Northern Ireland week

:34:21. > :34:27.scene of the -- this is the Northern Ireland we've seen. Today, the said

:34:28. > :34:32.play delivery was a lot better. They are a threat in certain players.

:34:33. > :34:40.Washington won the free kick. Norwood can deliver a great ball in.

:34:41. > :34:46.McAuley, he is about landing -- he is an outstanding head of the ball.

:34:47. > :34:52.A magnificent header. The second oldest scorer ever in the Euros and

:34:53. > :34:57.36. He has been a real store what for Northern Ireland. In that

:34:58. > :35:06.defence, this is his second goal, I think it's brilliant. A great cut

:35:07. > :35:10.back. To keep down, that's the difficult part. He's let the ball go

:35:11. > :35:13.right under his body and kept his eye on the ball and kept it down.

:35:14. > :35:20.The first to react to four defenders. Michael O'Neill was

:35:21. > :35:25.telling the winner to take it. Good job they scored. There were scenes

:35:26. > :35:29.but I haven't seen for 30 years. When Nile McGinn gets the second

:35:30. > :35:35.goal, it was very emotional for anyone. Gerry Armstrong was

:35:36. > :35:40.struggling in the commentary at some points. McGinn's win was the latest

:35:41. > :35:49.ever goal in regulation time at the Euros, 96th when it. After the game

:35:50. > :35:53.against Poland, it was like they said to themselves, let's have a go.

:35:54. > :35:57.As Neil mentioned, it was a completely changed formation. Look

:35:58. > :36:02.at the intent. Everyone. I think it's Washington who sets the tone.

:36:03. > :36:05.That's what you want to see from your players, that's when you know

:36:06. > :36:12.your team is well up for this game today. Bodies in the box. Plenty of

:36:13. > :36:17.intent. People having shots. When you play so high up the pitch, you

:36:18. > :36:20.create set pieces in better areas of the pitch. That is Northern

:36:21. > :36:24.Ireland's strings stop we watched the game against Poland. I don't

:36:25. > :36:29.know what you thought, but I thought it was night and day. I think it was

:36:30. > :36:36.spot on. Initially they set the tone. It is a strength in that

:36:37. > :36:41.place. We're not the best football team in the world. Michael's very

:36:42. > :36:45.common sense. He understands that we maximise our strength and we

:36:46. > :36:48.certainly did that today. Neil said McAuley was a great header in both

:36:49. > :36:52.boxes and we saw him effective at both ends of the pitch today. He did

:36:53. > :36:56.that classic defending that we know him well for. He is everything

:36:57. > :37:00.that's good about Northern Ireland and everybody needs a Gareth McAuley

:37:01. > :37:04.in the team. His marking, he doesn't let people drift often in the box.

:37:05. > :37:09.That's why they get clear sheets and why I fancy him get results. His

:37:10. > :37:14.defence is that good. He's helping his team-mates, he goes out but he's

:37:15. > :37:17.helping his team-mates. He always gets his body shape right. Right

:37:18. > :37:23.now, you can see everything that's coming. He gets involved in the

:37:24. > :37:27.right position, he's brave, goes out and take another block. That's what

:37:28. > :37:33.stops the ball going in the net. All of those little things. He gets

:37:34. > :37:37.damaged left hand side, he's very game. He's only 40 yard out of his

:37:38. > :37:42.box, and he's celebrating with his team-mates but he had the ball in

:37:43. > :37:45.both boxes. He scored at one end, the team martialled Michael Hooper

:37:46. > :37:52.defenders. They all played well today, but he is the main reason.

:37:53. > :37:57.Once a piece of news to bring you, after the game a Northern Irish

:37:58. > :38:01.supporter collapsed and died. The man in his 60s was treated by

:38:02. > :38:05.paramedics but unfortunately they were unable to save him. The Irish

:38:06. > :38:15.football Association released a statement.

:38:16. > :38:24.Of course, we would echo that, too. Northern Ireland's final group game

:38:25. > :38:40.will be against Germany in the Parc des Princes.

:38:41. > :38:45.While champions Germany have started the last half-dozen major

:38:46. > :38:48.tournaments with a win and a clean sheet now. They're also boosted

:38:49. > :38:56.tonight by the return of Mats Hummels from injury. He replaces

:38:57. > :39:09.Mustapha who scored against Ukraine. Poland managed a first ever win the

:39:10. > :39:27.other day. Fabianski replaces the injured goalie. Helicon Germany. --

:39:28. > :39:44.here come Germany. Floating that one in. Pazdan gets that one in, nudges

:39:45. > :39:55.it towards Milik. A dangerous looking ball, and over

:39:56. > :40:08.the top by Marianne Draxler. -- by Draxler. 19 previous meetings

:40:09. > :40:15.between the two nations. Poland victorious on just the one occasion.

:40:16. > :40:27.Just outmanoeuvred by Thomas Muller. Sliding it in. Kroos send the ball

:40:28. > :40:34.sliding past the post. Muller lost his footing. Kroos able to guide the

:40:35. > :40:37.ball inside the near post. No changes made by either team at the

:40:38. > :40:44.break as the second half gets underway. Poland all in the red. Not

:40:45. > :40:53.a single shot on target from either side during the first half. Kroos

:40:54. > :41:05.looking to get things moving quickly for Poland here. A decent chance,

:41:06. > :41:16.what a chance it was. Milik couldn't nod it home.

:41:17. > :41:28.A lovely ball in, but a good swerve. The first ball on target of the

:41:29. > :41:46.match, straight on Fabianski. A free kick for Poland. Taken by

:41:47. > :41:57.Krychowiak. After a tussle with Thomas Muller. Fabianski and

:41:58. > :42:04.Lewandowski, the two players in red. -- Milik and Lewandowski.

:42:05. > :42:15.Lewandowski leaves it for Milik. Wide of the post. Trying to sneak

:42:16. > :42:17.one into the side of the wall. Lewandowski, Krychowiak is ahead of

:42:18. > :42:26.him and now in possession. There was a chance therefore Milik.

:42:27. > :42:41.Certainly needs it in the second half. He has lost both of them. --

:42:42. > :42:48.he have fluffed both of them. Germany responding. First touch of

:42:49. > :42:55.the ball for the substitute. A good save by Fabianski. Poland's

:42:56. > :43:04.goalkeeper caught it with a flying fingertip save. Still time for a

:43:05. > :43:14.chance or two, still time for a winning goal.

:43:15. > :43:29.Muller, lovely touch. Showed a little too much of the ball. Able to

:43:30. > :43:33.make the challenge. The possession is all Germany's here now in the

:43:34. > :43:38.dying embers of the game, but they still can't really do too much with

:43:39. > :43:44.it. Just kicks it in, maybe time for one last chance. They'll certainly

:43:45. > :43:50.get a free kick for that. This is it, I think. If Germany are going to

:43:51. > :44:01.score a goal tonight, it may have two B from this opportunity.

:44:02. > :44:09.Kroos plans to sweep this one into the penalty area, batted away by

:44:10. > :44:12.Fabianski. And it's enough for Poland. Fabianski preserves the

:44:13. > :44:17.clean sheet and Poland have an excellent draw against the world

:44:18. > :44:21.champions. Germany failed to score at the European Championship in a

:44:22. > :44:27.match for the first time in eight years. Both teams start this

:44:28. > :44:34.tournament now with a win and a draw. This evening at Saint Denis,

:44:35. > :44:38.Germany 0-0 Poland. STUDIO: you can see why we left that

:44:39. > :44:44.once all the end. Let's confirm what it means in Group C. They will top

:44:45. > :44:48.the group if they beat Germany and Poland failed to beat Ukraine.

:44:49. > :44:52.Ukraine are the first country eliminated, it is now impossible for

:44:53. > :44:57.them to overtake Martin O'Neill's men because of the head to head

:44:58. > :45:02.limit. Michael O'Neill, sorry. Incredible stats from this game.

:45:03. > :45:09.Germany failed to direct a single shot on target for the first time

:45:10. > :45:16.since 1988 against Italy. The only concern I have with Germany

:45:17. > :45:20.is they have gone into the tournament on a recognised streak.

:45:21. > :45:25.The rest are calling the modern game. The nines. Some say it may

:45:26. > :45:29.catch up with you. I don't think they've reached top speed yet and

:45:30. > :45:33.the Germans know how to work it. They'll be criticism from some

:45:34. > :45:40.corners of German media. I think quietly lobby satisfied with four

:45:41. > :45:46.points so far. -- thou be satisfied. They have been working on this for a

:45:47. > :45:54.while, but they say there is no point crying over spilt Milik. He's

:45:55. > :45:57.a highly influential player, he scored the game against Northern

:45:58. > :46:00.Ireland tonight. But today he just couldn't seem to get it when it

:46:01. > :46:05.mattered. He was involved in that link up. Look at that. We yard out.

:46:06. > :46:11.Just put your head on it, put it in the back of the net. -- three yards

:46:12. > :46:14.out. A lovely dummy when it comes to it, lovely awareness, but this

:46:15. > :46:23.famous fault we are hearing about, put that into the back of the net.

:46:24. > :46:33.-- famous foot. But he is a good player and I think more goals will

:46:34. > :46:38.come. He is a Number 10 and playing off a great street. Lewandowski will

:46:39. > :46:42.create the space for him. He is the one player. He's getting on the end

:46:43. > :46:48.of things, it just wasn't his nights tonight. A few things I want to show

:46:49. > :46:52.you before we go. The first is Gary Neville celebrating England's win.

:46:53. > :46:57.He is jumping on the pile. He's involved, he's excited, and then he

:46:58. > :47:03.thinks, hang on, I'm in charge. Style it out, nothing to do with me!

:47:04. > :47:09.Look at the run, that's impressive. He's got his pace back. This is the

:47:10. > :47:14.other thing. A Welsh man, sadness, through the emotion. Don't panic,

:47:15. > :47:23.his friend says. But, you're wrong the big screen! Yes! I'm on the

:47:24. > :47:26.telly. Come on. Never stopped believing. Never, ever stop

:47:27. > :47:32.believing. I'm not sure what he did when it's the rich God the winner

:47:33. > :47:37.but it was probably a bit messy. -- when Sturridge scored the winner.

:47:38. > :47:41.Before we go, are you ready 2016 offering. You can listen to slap and

:47:42. > :47:47.parts to against the impressive Italians. -- Zlatan against the

:47:48. > :48:00.Italians. That is it from us for day seven. We

:48:01. > :48:08.saw all three of the home nations in action and look at the smiles on

:48:09. > :48:11.these three. With one group game to go, England, Wales and Northern

:48:12. > :48:12.Ireland might all be playing knockout football next week. Good

:48:13. > :48:16.night.
