:00:26. > :00:34.Welcome to Match of the Day 2 Extra on live BBC Two

:00:35. > :00:39.Joining me today, former Everton midfielder Leon Osman,

:00:40. > :00:42.Hull defender Alex Bruce, who's currently on loan at Wigan,

:00:43. > :00:43.and James Ducker, who's the Telegraph's

:00:44. > :00:51.Good afternoon to you all. If you want to get involved, we would love

:00:52. > :00:52.to hear from you. Use the hashtag, #bbcfootball,

:00:53. > :00:54.on social media Yesterday's Emirates FA Cup

:00:55. > :01:01.quarter-final goals as 5-star Gunners book

:01:02. > :01:03.their place at Wembley. Manchester City join

:01:04. > :01:04.them in the semi-finals with a comfortable win

:01:05. > :01:08.at Middlesbrough. A huge result for Hull City

:01:09. > :01:14.in their Premier League relegation battle,

:01:15. > :01:16.beating Swansea City. And a Josh King hat-trick

:01:17. > :01:18.puts Bournemouth six points clear The Sun says Chelsea

:01:19. > :01:25.are interested in Manchester The Sunday People claims the Arsenal

:01:26. > :01:29.players are shunning Alexis Sanchez and that Wayne Rooney's

:01:30. > :01:34.England days are numbered. Arsenal's board have told

:01:35. > :01:39.Arsene Wenger to make a decision on his future during

:01:40. > :01:41.the international break That's where we will. Four is we

:01:42. > :01:48.talk Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. We'll keep you updated

:01:49. > :01:52.with the Old Firm Derby. But we start with the goals

:01:53. > :01:59.from the Emirates. COMMENTATOR: Than an halt -- Petr

:02:00. > :02:36.Cech saves, but only just. Ozil, picks out Mustafi. Little lob.

:02:37. > :02:43.Touched on, Giroud. Coming back for Walcott. Theo Walcott! Arsenal have

:02:44. > :02:46.the lead on the stroke of half-time. Lincoln City's first half endeavours

:02:47. > :02:49.under. Giroud has pulled away from his

:02:50. > :02:58.marker. There he is. Miskick from Theo Walcott. Bellerin going with

:02:59. > :03:03.Sanchez. Giroud! 2-0! Well worked by Arsenal. They cut through Lincoln

:03:04. > :03:05.City, and they head into the FA Cup semifinals barring a miracle

:03:06. > :03:13.comeback. Sanchez to Gibbs. It's in. Arsenal

:03:14. > :03:16.have a third. And the scoreline suddenly looks a lot more knobs

:03:17. > :03:27.sided. -- lopsided. Away from Wood. Alexis Sanchez.

:03:28. > :03:32.Brilliantly placed for an Arsenal fourth. They put Lincoln City to the

:03:33. > :03:43.sword in the end. Poorly placed, back to Alexis

:03:44. > :03:48.Sanchez. They are out on their feet, Lincoln. At the far post, or walked

:03:49. > :03:50.into the back of the net for an Arsenal fifth. Aaron Ramsey

:03:51. > :03:58.completes the victory. How good was it for your players to

:03:59. > :04:04.play with that with and fluency in the second-half? As it does help to

:04:05. > :04:09.build confidence. We have been short of confidence, because we had some

:04:10. > :04:12.disappointing results recently. In the second half, when the confidence

:04:13. > :04:19.was there, you can see the quality came back into our game. Our game is

:04:20. > :04:24.about that. Much has been spoken about Alexis Sanchez and what has

:04:25. > :04:28.been going on with him in the last few weeks. He played 100% today, no

:04:29. > :04:35.one could question his attitude at all. No, people talk, and talk, and

:04:36. > :04:43.talk, but it does not mean they talk the truth. But we have to deal with

:04:44. > :04:51.that. Performing on the football pitch, that people talk, show what

:04:52. > :04:56.we are about, playing with quality and commitment. That is what Alexis

:04:57. > :05:02.can do. For you, it has been a tough week or one in your career? I don't

:05:03. > :05:08.know. I always, when I have a problem, I try to sort it out. I am

:05:09. > :05:12.competitive, I am always focused on solving the problems I face, and in

:05:13. > :05:17.our job, when you sold one out, you have straightaway another one.

:05:18. > :05:25.Sometimes the size of the problem is bigger, sometimes a bit smaller.

:05:26. > :05:28.STUDIO: Let us know whether you think Arsene Wenger should stay or

:05:29. > :05:36.go, should he leave Arsenal? Get in touch. Alex, looking at Daniel's

:05:37. > :05:41.comments already, he says that Wenger should leave. What is your

:05:42. > :05:45.view? Arsenal fans have got to be careful what they wish for. How many

:05:46. > :05:48.times in the past have we seen managers leave and people can't

:05:49. > :05:53.replace them. Manchester United struggled to replace Alex Ferguson

:05:54. > :05:56.after all those years. People need to pay Arsene Wenger more respect

:05:57. > :06:02.and what he has done for the club. I wouldn't like to be the man that has

:06:03. > :06:06.to fill his boots, that is sure. It is a difficult one. Looking across

:06:07. > :06:12.the City, looking at Chelsea, Mourinho leaving, the Messiah at

:06:13. > :06:16.Stamford Bridge, Conte comes in and day are going to win the Premier

:06:17. > :06:19.League, in my opinion. They might look at that and think they have to

:06:20. > :06:24.make a change as well. It will be interesting to see what happens in

:06:25. > :06:28.the summer. But for me, I wouldn't like to be the man that fills his

:06:29. > :06:32.boots. Back to Wenger in a moment, but there has been a goal in the Old

:06:33. > :06:37.Firm derby. Ian Turner. It has gone to Celtic. It has been an even start

:06:38. > :06:41.to the game, but Stuart Armstrong has broken the deadlock. Cutting in

:06:42. > :06:50.from the left, a low, left foot shot, beating Wes Foderingham in the

:06:51. > :06:53.goal. 1-0 after 35 minutes gone. Leon, good afternoon to you. It is

:06:54. > :06:57.difficult for Arsene Wenger because they put five past Lincoln City,

:06:58. > :07:02.they are in the FA Cup semifinal, but fans on social media and on the

:07:03. > :07:08.radio last night saying the time is up and he has to go. Yeah, you know,

:07:09. > :07:12.it is a difficult situation. They have come up against a very strong

:07:13. > :07:17.Bayern Munich team in the Champions League. They have gone out, albeit a

:07:18. > :07:21.lot worse than you would have expected. He is through in the cup.

:07:22. > :07:25.He is still in contention for the top four. From that point of view,

:07:26. > :07:29.he is doing the job he has done every year, but it is getting to the

:07:30. > :07:36.stage where Arsenal fans want more. They want to be challenging for the

:07:37. > :07:40.title again. They need to be winning trophies and competing in the

:07:41. > :07:44.Champions League. Arsenal fans are demanding more. I also think Arsene

:07:45. > :07:49.Wenger's demeanour in general seems flat and a bit deflated of late.

:07:50. > :07:54.When any manager gets to that stage, it is may be time to move on. James,

:07:55. > :07:59.John Richardson, back page of the Sunday Mirror, apparently the board

:08:00. > :08:03.have told him he has to make his mind up in the international break.

:08:04. > :08:09.There is a time pressure for Arsenal, if Wenger decides this will

:08:10. > :08:13.be his final season, then they need to be able to move and react quite

:08:14. > :08:17.quickly. It is a big decision. It will be a big decision for them, who

:08:18. > :08:20.they get to replace. The change brought about if Wenger goes from

:08:21. > :08:27.the club is huge. We mentioned United before. We saw one guy being

:08:28. > :08:36.there the 26 years, and the people at the club was huge. It will be the

:08:37. > :08:40.same at Arsenal. That club is modelled to Wenger. Everything that

:08:41. > :08:44.happens there has gone through him. He is omnipresent, and he controls

:08:45. > :08:50.everything. They will want some time to be able to plot their next path

:08:51. > :08:56.if he does decide to go. It is very interesting, it does look like he

:08:57. > :08:59.will make his own decision, Wenger. They have been clear in the past

:09:00. > :09:04.that Wenger will pick his moment ago. Should it be his decision? I

:09:05. > :09:07.don't think so. At any other football club around the land, the

:09:08. > :09:11.chairman and the board have their say. It is, but I believe the

:09:12. > :09:16.Arsenal board are showing some respect Arsene Wenger. They saying,

:09:17. > :09:19.we are not going to sack you, we are not prepared to do that after the

:09:20. > :09:26.service you provided to the club. We would like it to be your decision to

:09:27. > :09:31.move on. They are showing him the respect, and hope what they consider

:09:32. > :09:35.is the right decision. What do you think the players want, Alex?

:09:36. > :09:42.Whether we like it or not, we have seen what goes on at other clubs,

:09:43. > :09:45.player power exists, we know it is exists. In the dressing room, people

:09:46. > :09:50.will want him to stay, and some will want him to leave. Once that play

:09:51. > :09:56.every week will him to stay. That is what it is like image dressing room.

:09:57. > :10:00.Players there will be happy, but it will be a mixed bag. There will be

:10:01. > :10:05.an obvious divide. Especially the players not playing. But you get to

:10:06. > :10:07.the point where players like Alexis Sanchez, I think they want more.

:10:08. > :10:11.They want to be competing at the top. It gets to a point where they

:10:12. > :10:15.are thinking, Arsene Wenger doesn't seem to be the man to do it. They

:10:16. > :10:18.will want to bring in better players. There is such uncertainty

:10:19. > :10:24.about Arsenal at the minute. Back in my time, I have played for managers,

:10:25. > :10:28.David Moyes left of his own will, Roberto Martinez was under a cloud,

:10:29. > :10:31.and ended up getting the sack. For the period before that, there was

:10:32. > :10:36.such uncertainty for the players of being there next year. What was

:10:37. > :10:39.going to happen? Are we looking to strengthen the team? Will I fit in

:10:40. > :10:43.with the new manager? So much is going on that there is such big

:10:44. > :10:49.uncertainty and you don't know where the club is going. What is it like

:10:50. > :10:52.listening to the same voice, you had David Moyes for so long at that

:10:53. > :10:58.club, sometimes does it get to a point where players need to be

:10:59. > :11:05.reinvigorated and tested? I think they probably do. It depends on the

:11:06. > :11:09.type of manager you have got. I have got to be honest, David Moyes is the

:11:10. > :11:13.type that is in your face. If he feels that you are not doing it, he

:11:14. > :11:16.will demand it from you. For everything I hear about Arsene

:11:17. > :11:19.Wenger in Arsenal's dressing room, he is quiet and lets people get on

:11:20. > :11:24.with things. That type of manager will be more susceptible to the

:11:25. > :11:29.lethargy that comes with uncertainty of not knowing who the new manager

:11:30. > :11:33.is coming in. An interesting piece in the Sunday Times survey by

:11:34. > :11:39.Jonathan North Croft. If you take a look at this, it is basically about

:11:40. > :11:44.the young talent that Arsene Wenger brought to the club. People like

:11:45. > :11:50.Aaron Ramsey, Karl Jenkins, and Jack Wilshere, James, and a suggestion

:11:51. > :11:53.from here that there are questions about whether he can get the best

:11:54. > :11:57.out of the British talent. The players that have been written about

:11:58. > :12:04.today, can they improve? You mentioned Gibbs and Walcott as well,

:12:05. > :12:07.can't you. Wilshere is a difficult one. They look to him as the one

:12:08. > :12:15.with the talent that they thought would become the creative fulcrum of

:12:16. > :12:21.their midfield 47-8 years. -- the 7-8 years. He has massively been

:12:22. > :12:27.debilitated by injuries. Some of the other players, have they actually

:12:28. > :12:32.have the quality and the skill set to get Arsenal to the level that

:12:33. > :12:40.they want to? I would maybe argue not in the case of Jenkinson and

:12:41. > :12:44.Kieran Gibbs. You mean, initially? They have definitely been good

:12:45. > :12:51.Arsenal squad players, but are they actually good enough to win games,

:12:52. > :12:54.dictate that team? We have seen some English players down the years that

:12:55. > :12:59.have been the driving forces in their side. Walcott, you know, he

:13:00. > :13:03.has flattered to deceive at times. There have been moments where you

:13:04. > :13:07.have thought he is turning a corner and the penny is dropping, but he

:13:08. > :13:12.falls short. Aaron Ramsey, very gifted, but hasn't really, sort of,

:13:13. > :13:16.dominated in a way that they would have hoped. That has been the issue.

:13:17. > :13:22.Have they been quite good enough to start with to get Arsenal to wear

:13:23. > :13:28.they want to? Maybe they have had some of the from players coming in,

:13:29. > :13:31.if they had been of a better quality, bringing different

:13:32. > :13:34.attribute to the team. You might have seen those players kick off.

:13:35. > :13:38.Only Arsene Wenger knows how they are performing in training, only

:13:39. > :13:41.Arsene Wenger knows whether he sees whether they are capable of getting

:13:42. > :13:46.through all the games, but I just feel that to get the best out of

:13:47. > :13:50.these young players from 21-24, they need to play every week. There is a

:13:51. > :13:55.rotation that goes on at Arsenal that they never get a head of steam

:13:56. > :13:58.up. Wilshere in and out of the team, picking up injuries.

:13:59. > :14:01.Oxlade-Chamberlain can never find a position, he picks up injuries

:14:02. > :14:04.because he is in and out of the team. On the flip side, Aaron Ramsey

:14:05. > :14:08.had a whole season in the team and was arguably Player of the Season

:14:09. > :14:12.because he played regularly. Since then, there is so much rotation at

:14:13. > :14:15.Arsenal that you can't get a set team. There is so much choice that

:14:16. > :14:20.he wants to keep them all happy, and you suffer for it. Being brutal and

:14:21. > :14:23.if we are honest, and Arsenal fans won't want to hear this as well,

:14:24. > :14:29.Alex, if you look at the quality of European football we have seen, the

:14:30. > :14:35.magnificent game midweek, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. Arsenal

:14:36. > :14:38.were few million eight, and it shouldn't happen to them. It comes

:14:39. > :14:42.down to the squad that Arsene Wenger has assembled, it is not good enough

:14:43. > :14:47.to compete at the top level. You could say that, and the result

:14:48. > :14:50.against Bayern Munich, 10-2, it is a very bad result. We all know that.

:14:51. > :14:54.The players have is bonded in the right way yesterday. I know they

:14:55. > :14:57.were playing Lincoln, no disrespect to them, to win 5-0 will give them

:14:58. > :15:02.confidence. But when you compete with Bayern Munich, Barcelona, where

:15:03. > :15:07.Arsenal fans want to get to, they are a million miles off at the

:15:08. > :15:11.minute. To compete with those players, you have to spend the

:15:12. > :15:18.money. I know he has spent money, and when you spend it, you have to

:15:19. > :15:21.buy the right players. Are they top, top European players? They have not

:15:22. > :15:25.shown it. What might they have spent a lot of money. They have got to do

:15:26. > :15:32.better. Recruitment has got to be better. A lot of England's top clubs

:15:33. > :15:39.would struggle against Bayern Munich. I don't think that is

:15:40. > :15:45.necessarily... Manchester City would be beaten 10- to? I am sure they

:15:46. > :15:48.wouldn't be, but as we have seen all teams have struggled in the

:15:49. > :15:53.Champions League in recent years -- 10-2. The difference is, certainly

:15:54. > :16:00.in the Premier League, they look well short of Chelsea, and even

:16:01. > :16:07.Spurs at times. So the jump to Bayern Munich, that ilk of team, it

:16:08. > :16:11.is getting greater. The great frustration for Arsenal fans is, it

:16:12. > :16:13.is not that they have been miles and miles away, they always seem to be

:16:14. > :16:24.perennially 2-3 players short. They are just not resilient enough,

:16:25. > :16:30.they seem flimsy when the going gets tough. They are not physically

:16:31. > :16:34.dominating to grind a result out. Chelsea can accommodate a physically

:16:35. > :16:41.dominant. Look back years ago when Arsene Wenger and his team were

:16:42. > :16:49.dominating, Vieira, Adams, they were big guys. I don't see Arsenal having

:16:50. > :16:54.that. If you are ever stuck in a bar with

:16:55. > :16:59.Martin, he will say he would look around at dressing room and he would

:17:00. > :17:02.see Vieira, at Old Trafford, he would think, we are winning because

:17:03. > :17:07.we have a team of battlers are really hard men.

:17:08. > :17:14.I was fortunate to play against the Arsenal team. People think Vieira

:17:15. > :17:23.was a powerhouse, Tony Adams. But you looked at Pires, they were

:17:24. > :17:30.monsters. Over Miles. Not in size but they had the blend.

:17:31. > :17:37.Perez, the flair player, 6-foot three inches, strong, physically

:17:38. > :17:43.built. Arsene Wenger's teams have come so far away from that. When the

:17:44. > :17:48.going gets tough, if they don't play well and dominate, they don't win

:17:49. > :17:57.games. You can turn up, Ozil, Number ten. Arsenal have two or three, you

:17:58. > :18:03.can outplay the bottom clubs but go to Chelsea, there are too many

:18:04. > :18:07.players not doing enough work. Great discussion, Wenger, in or out?

:18:08. > :18:16.We don't know. You are saying out? You don't know. Respectfully out,

:18:17. > :18:21.well said. Half term -- Half-time at the Old

:18:22. > :18:29.Firm clash. The opening 25 minutes, Rangers

:18:30. > :18:35.started really well, Waghorn should have given them the lead. Craig

:18:36. > :18:43.Gordon said that, it was vital. Stuart Armstrong fired in from 20

:18:44. > :18:49.yards. Rangers did not sustain further damage to give them the

:18:50. > :18:52.chance to regroup at the break. 60,000 at the east end of Glasgow.

:18:53. > :18:56.Thank you. From 1:30pm on BBC One,

:18:57. > :18:58.the FA Cup quarterfinal Eilidh Barbour's already

:18:59. > :19:12.in position at White Hart Lane. The stage is set for the penultimate

:19:13. > :19:18.game of this FA Cup quarterfinal weekend, sure to be a tasty one.

:19:19. > :19:23.Spurs might be for dictators above, but Neil Harris and his side are on

:19:24. > :19:28.a 17 match unbeaten run which includes knocking out three

:19:29. > :19:31.Premiership sides. I am joined by Michael Dawson, former Spurs

:19:32. > :19:35.captain, and Teddy Sheringham who played with both sides. Millwall say

:19:36. > :19:40.they fear no one, had difficult will they be?

:19:41. > :19:44.Really difficult. I have seen them a couple of times this year, really

:19:45. > :19:50.impressed with Neal Harris, a real unity. They will come here today and

:19:51. > :19:56.enjoy the day. Michael, I think Mauricio Pochettino

:19:57. > :20:01.underestimated lower League opponents last time, you must be

:20:02. > :20:08.expecting a strong Spurs side today. The FA Cup can have upsets, and it

:20:09. > :20:14.was nearly with Wickham. Millwall, but they have done in the League and

:20:15. > :20:18.FA Cup is impressive. Harry Kane, a lot said about how

:20:19. > :20:25.well he has been playing recently. What was he like to play alongside?

:20:26. > :20:30.He is a finisher. Teddy was a finisher. And probably watches him

:20:31. > :20:35.with pleasure. If he gets half a sniff, as with

:20:36. > :20:42.Everton, it ends up at the back of the net. Another two hat-tricks in

:20:43. > :20:46.the past few weeks. He cut his teeth at Millwall, what

:20:47. > :20:51.is it like come up against a team you have played for?

:20:52. > :20:55.We had Harry speak in the week about his affection for Millwall. It is a

:20:56. > :21:00.good ground for any young player. They put you to the sword as fans.

:21:01. > :21:04.If you come through, you have half a chance of building your character

:21:05. > :21:08.and becoming a footballer which is what Harry did at Millwall and is

:21:09. > :21:14.proving to go on to bigger and better things with Spurs.

:21:15. > :21:18.Neal Harris, you played with him at Millwall, what has he brought to the

:21:19. > :21:24.club, not just results, but a sense of unity in the community.

:21:25. > :21:32.I didn't actually play with Neal. He played in an era at the old Den, you

:21:33. > :21:36.get a feeling of how things are amongst the supporters. He has

:21:37. > :21:40.brought that along as a player and a coach and manager. He knows all

:21:41. > :21:45.about Millwall and the feeling at the club. It is special. They will

:21:46. > :21:53.be a formidable team to play against. A big ask for Tottenham.

:21:54. > :21:57.Millwall will enjoy themselves. Prediction, Michael?

:21:58. > :22:10.3-1, Spurs. A little closer, maybe 2-1, Spurs.

:22:11. > :22:15.Thank you very much, all looking very sharp.

:22:16. > :22:20.I am used to seeing him in a tracksuit!

:22:21. > :22:27.Mauricio Pochettino has done a great job, they have to win a trophy.

:22:28. > :22:30.You look at Spurs, they have developed well under Mauricio

:22:31. > :22:34.Pochettino. They nearly won the title last season, got close this

:22:35. > :22:41.season, they need that first piece of silverware to develop the club.

:22:42. > :22:47.Jose Mourinho likes to do it, at Chelsea, at Manchester United.

:22:48. > :22:52.I feel that is where Spurs are. Millwall will have something to say.

:22:53. > :22:58.Are you a romantic for the FA Cup, do you want the four big boys in?

:22:59. > :23:04.It has been terrific, the FA Cup, the upsets this year, getting to the

:23:05. > :23:08.quarterfinals. Millwall, there will be something quite exciting for the

:23:09. > :23:13.big boys in the semifinal. When you get to that stage, he would like to

:23:14. > :23:19.see ultra competitive games and perhaps a really good final. It is a

:23:20. > :23:25.big ask on their hands, Millwall. You like the romance up until the

:23:26. > :23:29.quarterfinal point. But if you are tuning in to watch it, a top

:23:30. > :23:33.Premiership team against a championships team which has

:23:34. > :23:44.happened on occasion, it is an anti-climax.

:23:45. > :23:58.We got there as well! Hull City almost beat Arsenal.

:23:59. > :24:04.Do you fancy Millwall to swing a surprise?

:24:05. > :24:10.Not funny. It will be a good tie, a Derby down there Tottenham will be

:24:11. > :24:14.too strong. Lots of FA Cup action. And a big day

:24:15. > :24:20.in the Premiership, three fixtures, what a win for Hull City?

:24:21. > :24:24.Exactly what we needed. In recent weeks they haven't picked up too

:24:25. > :24:34.many points. It was a must win game. They came up with the goods.

:24:35. > :24:51.Did you play alongside Lou Massey at Everton?

:24:52. > :24:55.I have to be honest, Nouiasse. You have seen how Roberto Martinez

:24:56. > :24:59.treated him and Ronald Koeman. It is great to see him having gone to

:25:00. > :25:12.Holland and found his feet and scoring goals.

:25:13. > :25:18.He has obviously been frustrated at Everton. The games I have seen him,

:25:19. > :25:22.he has been a handful. He gave an interview where he said

:25:23. > :25:28.he had no idea why he was frozen out. He has gone to Hull City. He

:25:29. > :25:34.has been fired up by the experience at Goodison.

:25:35. > :25:41.There is back. He is working with a very able coach. Look at Silva

:25:42. > :25:45.coming in. I thought the likes of Snodgrass were going because they

:25:46. > :25:49.wanted to get rid of some big earners and get money in, in

:25:50. > :25:54.anticipation of the Premiership. Silva said that is not the case. He

:25:55. > :25:59.wanted to build his team. I have watched them quite a bit

:26:00. > :26:04.recently. They look so well drilled as a team. Actually very fluid going

:26:05. > :26:09.forward. Supporting the attack pretty well. Before it was an issue

:26:10. > :26:17.getting the best out of Tom Huddlestone. There has always been

:26:18. > :26:22.an abundance of talent. But doing it on a consistent basis has been

:26:23. > :26:28.difficult. He looks like a manager who believes, and playing much, very

:26:29. > :26:34.much to his strength. I fancy them to stay up.

:26:35. > :26:39.Sometimes, you are always, no matter how good a player you are, if you

:26:40. > :26:47.don't fit in with the management style, you have no chance. I don't

:26:48. > :26:54.think this was the player they thought they were getting. Hull are

:26:55. > :27:00.now getting the best out of him. Man City, is Aguero a Pep Guardiola

:27:01. > :27:06.player. There is talking the men be there next season. He has brought

:27:07. > :27:11.Jesus into gently push Aguero away. Maybe he doesn't super-team.

:27:12. > :27:16.This can happen. Alex, I talked to you in December about Hull City. You

:27:17. > :27:20.are on loan at Wigan. Hull City is your parent club. He said there was

:27:21. > :27:24.confident they could get out of trouble.

:27:25. > :27:31.Is there still that feeling? They have been in that relegation

:27:32. > :27:35.battle before. They have experience with Dawson, Davies, McGuire. That

:27:36. > :27:41.will stand them in good stead. Middlesbrough haven't really

:27:42. > :27:48.experienced it. They have just been away to a training camp in Portugal

:27:49. > :27:53.working hard. I have seen the preparation and organisation. The

:27:54. > :27:56.way he started as manager has been very good.

:27:57. > :28:01.Marco Silvestri the ground sharing with Hull FC, the Rugby League side,

:28:02. > :28:07.it is impossible. They played at the KCOM on Friday, then Premiership

:28:08. > :28:12.football, hardly ideal, the next day.

:28:13. > :28:16.The pitch will get cut up terribly. I was in Russia with United last

:28:17. > :28:21.week, the pitch was diabolical. It can get cut up quickly. Wigan

:28:22. > :28:28.have had those battles, rugby and football being played on it.

:28:29. > :28:38.For markers of them that will be frustrating. He will want everything

:28:39. > :28:47.he can -- Marco Silva. It depends who you are playing.

:28:48. > :28:56.Playing Man City. Swansea. Sometimes it will super-team. It could make it

:28:57. > :29:01.more difficult. Let us talk about Swansea City.

:29:02. > :29:04.Given the result yesterday. It has died them straight back into it. One

:29:05. > :29:09.moment they are thinking a couple of results we might be out of the

:29:10. > :29:15.relegation worries around Easter. Suddenly they are back in it.

:29:16. > :29:22.The run Swansea had over recent weeks, many thought that is it.

:29:23. > :29:26.It was a must win as Alex said for Hull yesterday and they got that.

:29:27. > :29:31.Now Swansea amongst other teams are back in there. I watched a bit of

:29:32. > :29:35.the game yesterday. When Llorente went off, they had a few injuries.

:29:36. > :29:39.In the first half they controlled proceedings.

:29:40. > :29:43.Then they fell to pieces. When you take your main goal threat

:29:44. > :29:49.out of the team, the opposition get a boost. When they saw the Venter

:29:50. > :29:53.go, the lads would have had a boost. They have teams in and around them

:29:54. > :29:55.to play so there is hope for Swansea.

:29:56. > :29:59.They are better equipped to get out of it?

:30:00. > :30:04.Hull and Swansea of the form teams at the bottom. They had a difficult

:30:05. > :30:08.one fixtures. Their promises even in defeat against the big boys says a

:30:09. > :30:15.lot about where they are going. Look at Crystal and Middlesbrough,

:30:16. > :30:22.they have really difficult run-ins. Whole, Swansea have a favourable set

:30:23. > :30:28.of fixtures to come. They have momentum and form and looked like

:30:29. > :30:30.they have belief. They look like they can score goals. I expect both

:30:31. > :30:43.to steer clear. It will be close. Who is going down? Palace might call

:30:44. > :30:54.with Middlesbrough. So Sam is not going to keep them on? We will have

:30:55. > :30:59.two C. -- we will have to see. The other side maybe don't have the same

:31:00. > :31:07.pace and quality that Palace and Sam have at their disposal? Absolutely.

:31:08. > :31:09.As Sam went into the Crystal Palace dressing room, he rubbed his hands

:31:10. > :31:15.together and thought it was brewing. He has never joined a team at the

:31:16. > :31:18.bottom of such talent. But you can't get the talent to work as hard as it

:31:19. > :31:21.needs to come and get them to perform, then you will be in

:31:22. > :31:27.trouble. Hard-working teams will always outperform. They have

:31:28. > :31:33.something like five of the top six to come. And all of the teams at the

:31:34. > :31:41.top are fighting. That is a good point. It is really competitive up

:31:42. > :31:45.there. That is the problem. If it was a different run in four Palace,

:31:46. > :31:49.you would always back Sam Allardyce to get them out. That might well end

:31:50. > :31:57.up being the case, but he has a tough task on his hands. Palace fans

:31:58. > :32:01.switching off now, well done, James. Here's a question for you, Alex and

:32:02. > :32:08.Leon, Josh King, he scores but missed a penalty, then gets another

:32:09. > :32:12.penalty, then Benik Afobe gets the next, and misses. As a player, would

:32:13. > :32:17.you take the next penalty? I would be halfway down the tunnel, to be

:32:18. > :32:21.honest. I would run as far away from the penalty as I could. I was

:32:22. > :32:23.hopeless at penalties! I was fortunate to have someone like

:32:24. > :32:29.Leighton Baines, who was unbelievably good at taking

:32:30. > :32:33.penalties. He was very confident stepping up. Some players would like

:32:34. > :32:37.to argue over it. Some players are confident. But ultimately, stepping

:32:38. > :32:42.up to put the ball on the spot, he has got to be confident. We had

:32:43. > :32:46.Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in the studio yesterday. He was

:32:47. > :32:49.disappointed. He said, if you are the penalty taker and you have

:32:50. > :32:53.missed one but scored, you should be taking the second penalty. It would

:32:54. > :32:58.be hats off to anyone that has missed one to show character to take

:32:59. > :33:02.one again. It is a problem for Bournemouth, because they were two

:33:03. > :33:07.dire penalties, missing the target with the first one. It would be nice

:33:08. > :33:14.for him to take it again, but I am sure Afobe... I was told off by

:33:15. > :33:16.Geneva Hasselbaink for saying it was a rubbish penalty. He said it was a

:33:17. > :33:25.good save by the goalkeeper. Where do you sit on that? -- Jimmy Floyd

:33:26. > :33:31.Hasselbaink. Now the goalkeepers are turning off! If it is going in the

:33:32. > :33:37.corner and it is safe, it is a good save. It was a poor penalty and an

:33:38. > :33:41.OK say. With regards to penalties, what usually happens is, you have a

:33:42. > :33:46.guy on penalties, and a guy jumping on the bit to take a penalty. The

:33:47. > :33:52.rule is, if you miss one, I am on them. He scored from the penalties

:33:53. > :33:57.but against United in a previous week. Watching Josh King, his

:33:58. > :34:02.reaction after missing that penalty. He ended up scoring a hat-trick, he

:34:03. > :34:06.didn't let the penalty miss go to his head at all. Actually, his

:34:07. > :34:12.response and his reaction was outstanding. In that sense, seeing

:34:13. > :34:15.that resilient streak he has, I was a bit surprised he didn't step up

:34:16. > :34:20.and take it, because I don't think he is a player that shies away.

:34:21. > :34:25.You are based here and you cover Manchester City and Manchester

:34:26. > :34:30.United, how much of Josh King had you seen at United? He made a couple

:34:31. > :34:34.of substitute appearances in the first team. I saw him a bit in the

:34:35. > :34:43.reserves. He was 14 when he came from Norway. He was well thought of.

:34:44. > :34:51.A tidy player, certainly when he moved to Blackburn, a lot of people

:34:52. > :34:55.thought, United have a good player in the making there. It didn't quite

:34:56. > :34:59.work out for him. You are starting to see in the past two seasons at

:35:00. > :35:05.Bournemouth, he is delivering on that promise. You almost forget, we

:35:06. > :35:10.said it off air, he is Norwegian. It looks like he has been here forever,

:35:11. > :35:16.classically English, strong centre forward. He has a good touch. You

:35:17. > :35:22.are starting to see he has an eye for goal as well. For him having

:35:23. > :35:27.that confidence, playing regularly, it has maybe brought him up to

:35:28. > :35:33.another level. Is he a top striker? I think he is some way off that yet.

:35:34. > :35:36.But he has been key for Bournemouth this year. The first time ever,

:35:37. > :35:42.Eddie Howe celebrating with a player getting the winning goal, the first

:35:43. > :35:47.time you see Eddie Howe unruffled. He is so calm in front of camera. A

:35:48. > :35:51.lot of that is down to getting three points, because he knows he is in a

:35:52. > :35:55.battle. But also, he has been publicly critical of the FA, saying

:35:56. > :36:01.that five matches is harsh on Tyrone Mings, does he have a point, Alex?

:36:02. > :36:05.He does a little bit. Only Tyrone Mings knows if he meant it or not.

:36:06. > :36:13.If he did, in five games is probably fair. It shows how much pressure are

:36:14. > :36:18.on these games. As you say, Eddie Howe is normally a cool customer. He

:36:19. > :36:23.was doing a Jose Sa the touchline yesterday. It obviously meant a lot

:36:24. > :36:27.to get the three points. The draw last week, the Bournemouth lads have

:36:28. > :36:31.taken confident out of that. The Tyrone Mings incident and the

:36:32. > :36:34.aftermath, is that something, James, that you think might be able to

:36:35. > :36:39.galvanise the club and the togetherness in the dressing room in

:36:40. > :36:43.a relegation battle? To a degree, possibly. I think there is more a

:36:44. > :36:47.sense of injustice on Bournemouth's part. I think they genuinely feel he

:36:48. > :36:51.has been harshly treated, it is that more than anything else that might

:36:52. > :36:57.galvanise them. I was slaughtered on social media last week for

:36:58. > :37:02.suggesting it was far from clear cut that Tyrone Mings meant it. I think

:37:03. > :37:07.if you see before he surveys the wreckage in front of him, he looks

:37:08. > :37:12.at Rooney and Ibrahimovic, puts his hand, and make a big leap. He is not

:37:13. > :37:18.looking anywhere, he is not looking at Ibrahimovic. He is looking ahead

:37:19. > :37:22.and to the side. I think, clearly, obviously, it looked bad, but I was

:37:23. > :37:26.surprised that the FA came down so heavily, because I didn't think it

:37:27. > :37:29.was that clear cut. Are you saying three and three would have been

:37:30. > :37:36.fairer? That would have been fairer. Ibrahimovic has clearly

:37:37. > :37:40.intentionally elbowed him. There are a lot of pros that have argued

:37:41. > :37:43.otherwise and said that he knows what he is doing. Having looked

:37:44. > :37:48.closely at his body language, his line of sight, what he was doing

:37:49. > :37:52.when he made the jump, I am far from convinced that it was deliberate. It

:37:53. > :37:56.was a shame it resulted in that because it was a good, old-fashioned

:37:57. > :38:00.scrap. They both gave each other a little bit. They came out after the

:38:01. > :38:05.game and said they enjoyed the physical battle. For that to happen,

:38:06. > :38:08.it put a damper on on the afternoon. Your opinion, Leon? I think it was

:38:09. > :38:15.dangerous. I don't know if he meant it, like Alex said, only he will

:38:16. > :38:18.know. If you can see someone is lying on the floor and his head is

:38:19. > :38:23.down. You have got to avoid it. Make sure you jump ten yards further or

:38:24. > :38:27.landowner backside or something. You can't have a chance of standing on

:38:28. > :38:32.someone's head. In my opinion, it was dangerous and deserved a ban. Do

:38:33. > :38:35.you think five is justified? No, three would have been fine, but once

:38:36. > :38:41.you start appealing things, it is always going to be made even bigger.

:38:42. > :38:46.It was dangerous play, clearly, that's why he has got it. It is the

:38:47. > :38:50.extra two matches because they thought it was intentional, I would

:38:51. > :38:53.argue that. Let's go back to White Hart Lane, a cracking quarterfinal

:38:54. > :38:58.coming up on BBC One, Tottenham against Millwall. Here is the team

:38:59. > :39:01.is. A shrunk Tottenham team to reach the

:39:02. > :39:09.semifinals for the first time in five years. Four changes from the

:39:10. > :39:13.3-2 win against Everton last weekend, trivia in at right back the

:39:14. > :39:21.Kyle Walker, Winks comes in for Dembele, who is not on the bench.

:39:22. > :39:25.There are two changes for Millwall, unbeaten in their last 17 games, a

:39:26. > :39:29.big blow for their goalkeeper Jordan Aja who started his career at top

:39:30. > :39:34.them, but he is not fit today. Tom King continues between the sticks.

:39:35. > :39:39.Morrison starts with Gregory, and Jed Wallace on loan from

:39:40. > :39:42.Wolverhampton comes on. Millwall have blocked out three Premier

:39:43. > :39:48.League teams so far on their own patch, can they repeat the triggered

:39:49. > :39:57.White Hart Lane? Don't forget to join Gary Lineker and the team 1:30.

:39:58. > :40:00.Plain sailing for Manchester City yesterday in the FA Cup quarterfinal

:40:01. > :40:18.at the Riverside. COMMENTATOR: Toure looking for

:40:19. > :40:25.Zabaleta, who is free. Surely in the end it's got to go in. It does from

:40:26. > :40:27.David Silva. A disastrous start for Middlesbrough, just past the two

:40:28. > :40:35.minute mile. Manchester City already in front.

:40:36. > :40:43.Leadbetter's corner, and they haven't! Claudio Bravo almost

:40:44. > :40:47.conceding. Here's the second one. Just over.

:40:48. > :40:55.Here goes de Bruyne. He's got Sterling away to his right. He's

:40:56. > :41:06.seen him. Raheem Sterling looking for Aguero. Middlesbrough survive

:41:07. > :41:17.yet again. Silva, well worked. Sane in full

:41:18. > :41:22.stride. In towards Aguero... Finally! The scoreline has a more

:41:23. > :41:33.realistic look about it. Sergio Aguero, four in four in the FA Cup.

:41:34. > :41:37.STUDIO: If we are honest, it was all too easy for Manchester City

:41:38. > :41:41.yesterday, but what they need given the huge week they have. A big

:41:42. > :41:51.testing week, Monaco in the Champions League, it is finely

:41:52. > :41:57.balanced, Guardiola says that if they do not score, they will go out.

:41:58. > :42:02.A big week for them. Particularly after the disappointing result

:42:03. > :42:06.against Stoke three, drawing 0-0, that was a cakewalk for them

:42:07. > :42:09.yesterday, evidence yet again of how exhilarating they can be going

:42:10. > :42:14.forward. Talking of cakes, I never thought I would say it on live

:42:15. > :42:21.television, you saw Ibrahimovic in a cafe be was eating a cake? No, he is

:42:22. > :42:27.a bit healthy. Were you eating a cake? I was. That is the difference

:42:28. > :42:31.between me and Zlatan! He is a beast of a man, I have never seen such a

:42:32. > :42:36.big, physical presence. He walked in, and you hear people say he is a

:42:37. > :42:39.big lad. It is Chelsea against Manchester United in the FA Cup as

:42:40. > :42:41.well live on BBC One tomorrow evening. That is your Sunday and

:42:42. > :42:43.Monday plan for you. Graeme Souness says

:42:44. > :42:45.in the Sunday Times that "with Ibrahimovic suspended United

:42:46. > :42:54.have little or no chance That is what Graeme Souness says,

:42:55. > :43:00.agree or disagree? Agree, if I am honest. He has been such a

:43:01. > :43:04.figurehead for them this season. Scoring probably 40% of all of their

:43:05. > :43:09.goals. He is also assisting them, he is a big physical presence up there.

:43:10. > :43:13.I think they will really miss him. With Chelsea being social at home, I

:43:14. > :43:20.can't see anything except a Chelsea win. Little or no chance, James? I

:43:21. > :43:24.think there is a chance. The issue is for me, less Ibrahimovic being

:43:25. > :43:29.out, and more fatigue, this will be United's, they have had 45 games

:43:30. > :43:36.this season, it will be their 46. Chelsea have had 43. Majesty night

:43:37. > :43:42.it had been to Russia playing on a god awful pitch -- Manchester United

:43:43. > :43:48.have been to Russia. 5-6 players will come into the team that didn't

:43:49. > :43:52.feature. They have shown signs in the last few games in the second

:43:53. > :43:57.half of looking battle weary. I think that will tell tomorrow night.

:43:58. > :44:01.Particularly when you look at how formidable and aggressive and

:44:02. > :44:07.strong, Chelsea are, that will be a problem. If they are that reliant on

:44:08. > :44:10.Zlatan, a number of United fans want Antoine Griezmann. He gave an

:44:11. > :44:14.interview in the week saying that he is happy in Spain. It shocked a lot

:44:15. > :44:20.of people. The fans hoping he would come to United. Will it materialise?

:44:21. > :44:25.It doesn't necessarily mean a great deal. I expect he will move to Old

:44:26. > :44:29.Trafford in the summer. Clearly, with the big deals, there are always

:44:30. > :44:33.convocation is an things can change. It looks nailed on in April... They

:44:34. > :44:38.need to get the Champions League, that has got to be a guarantee,

:44:39. > :44:44.surely? Not necessarily. It wasn't a factor for Paul Pogba and

:44:45. > :44:49.Ibrahimovic coming. The framework of a deal is in place with the player.

:44:50. > :44:53.The problem with a lot of deals is the negotiations with transfers, but
