:00:09. > :00:56.We will reflect on an evening of high drama at Stamford Bridge. It

:00:57. > :01:00.had huge ramifications at the top of the table. Elsewhere today, Arsenal

:01:01. > :01:07.take on Hull in a cup final rehearsal, and it is David Moyes

:01:08. > :01:15.versus Martinez at Goodison Park. With me today is Danny Murphy, Laura

:01:16. > :01:19.Williamson of the Daily Mail, and much of the Day commentator Guy

:01:20. > :01:26.Mowbray. You can get in touch with us on all the usual channels on

:01:27. > :01:29.social media. Let's go to Carrow Road and find out about this

:01:30. > :01:37.dominant Liverpool performance against Norwich. There does not seem

:01:38. > :01:41.to be any way of getting this Liverpool juggernaut of the road

:01:42. > :01:46.because they are up and running within four minutes, thanks to Rahim

:01:47. > :01:51.Sterling. Norwich are trying to attack through Gary Hooper and they

:01:52. > :01:54.almost find their way through. Leroy Fer is there and Liverpool are

:01:55. > :02:05.desperately trying to defend for the first time. Sterling took the lead

:02:06. > :02:12.and then seven minutes later he sent one into the penalty area and Luis

:02:13. > :02:18.Suarez was on hand to get his 13th Premier League goal of the season

:02:19. > :02:22.and his 12th against Norwich in his last four appearances. He has scored

:02:23. > :02:27.three hat-tricks in that time and you would not bet against him doing

:02:28. > :02:33.that again today for his third visit to Carrow Road in a row. Plenty of

:02:34. > :02:39.updates in the next 45 minutes. One quick thing, Norwich's Bihar you

:02:40. > :02:44.have been few years with their first 17 minutes in the fact that they

:02:45. > :02:52.have been so open. You have got to respect Liverpool the way they are

:02:53. > :02:55.playing. The game was so open early on and I do not understand the

:02:56. > :03:01.philosophy of going out and playing Liverpool and giving them space. The

:03:02. > :03:09.papers this morning also focused on what happened at Stamford Bridge

:03:10. > :03:14.yesterday. Laura's paper says, referee rage, it is as simple as

:03:15. > :03:21.that will stop Chelsea beaten 2-1 by Sunderland. Jose Mourinho's unbeaten

:03:22. > :03:26.run at Stamford Bridge ends. It is safe to say he was not happy about

:03:27. > :03:32.it. My answer is simple and pragmatic. First of all,

:03:33. > :03:38.congratulations to my players because they gave everything, they

:03:39. > :03:41.tried everything, they left everything they had on the pitch

:03:42. > :03:48.from the first minute to the last minute. Secondly, congratulations to

:03:49. > :03:54.Sunderland. They won three important points for them. It does not matter

:03:55. > :04:00.how and why, but they won, so congratulations to them. Third,

:04:01. > :04:04.congratulations to Mike Reid. His performance was fantastic, an

:04:05. > :04:10.amazing performance. Finally, congratulations to Michael Reilly

:04:11. > :04:14.because the way he organised things this season with referees doing

:04:15. > :04:20.really well according to the objectives, so congratulations also

:04:21. > :04:27.to Mike Riley and I have nothing more to say. And off he went. You

:04:28. > :04:33.have being in that situation where you interview managers like that. It

:04:34. > :04:37.is gold, it is fantastic and it is nearly always him. You know he has

:04:38. > :04:43.got an agenda, you know he is going to say what he was. I do not speak

:04:44. > :04:48.much Portuguese, so I do not know what Portuguese is for sarcastic or

:04:49. > :04:53.pragmatic. It was cutting and it was nonsense. That bit about the

:04:54. > :04:59.referees' agenda that Mike Riley has been setting. I keep thinking back

:05:00. > :05:03.to the game at Stamford Bridge in November and the late penalty game

:05:04. > :05:07.when they lost against West Bromwich Albion and when Steven Reid went in.

:05:08. > :05:13.It is a plot if you are going to give it for them and against them

:05:14. > :05:16.and work it over the whole season. But his tactics have worked and he

:05:17. > :05:21.is all over the back pages and his discussion is on his opinion rather

:05:22. > :05:27.than Chelsea's title hopes falling away. It is all about deflection.

:05:28. > :05:32.After their Champions League success, suddenly he is the special

:05:33. > :05:38.one again. After this his job is to take the blame, but he has put it

:05:39. > :05:42.all onto the referees and it was completely preplanned. He that

:05:43. > :05:48.message three times, to the written press as well, he is trying to be

:05:49. > :05:54.clever and also so he does not get fined again, he is still furious

:05:55. > :06:01.about that, but he did not criticise the officials remarkably. You cannot

:06:02. > :06:06.be fined for sarcasm. He did exactly the same on sky TV and then much of

:06:07. > :06:10.the day and the written press. We are not talking about Chelsea's

:06:11. > :06:15.performance when we should be. Yes, it is a shame we are not because I

:06:16. > :06:20.did not think they performed that badly. They came up against a

:06:21. > :06:25.brilliant defensive display from Gus Poyet's men. I am a big fan of Joe

:06:26. > :06:29.is a marine you're coming he is a fantastic manager and he gets the

:06:30. > :06:34.best out of his players. To show some humility would have been nice.

:06:35. > :06:40.I thought Sunderland were brilliant and their victory has been lessened

:06:41. > :06:46.by his antics. What has gone wrong for Chelsea if anything? There have

:06:47. > :06:51.been a few games where they have struggled, away at Palace, and he

:06:52. > :06:56.has talked about the lack of strikers. Manchester City suffered

:06:57. > :07:00.when Sergio Aguero got injured. Liverpool have kept Luis Suarez fit

:07:01. > :07:04.and they look like they are going to be champions because of it. You need

:07:05. > :07:12.somebody to get the goals and they have not got them. Do they lacked a

:07:13. > :07:17.cutting edge? No doubt about it. Nothing he does is not preplanned.

:07:18. > :07:22.He knows exactly what he is saying. When we go back to that conversation

:07:23. > :07:27.with the French journalist who says something about him not having

:07:28. > :07:31.strikers. He is right they need a striker. Every week in the Premier

:07:32. > :07:36.League the lines between sport and theatre are getting blurred and I do

:07:37. > :07:42.not know if I like it or dislike it. The same with the penalty

:07:43. > :07:51.yesterday. I thought at first never a penalty. Then thinking about it,

:07:52. > :07:55.he went to ground and he slid and the other player put his foot down

:07:56. > :08:04.and he has been carried with him, so I can see why it is a penalty, but

:08:05. > :08:09.it is not completely clear. But the elbow from Ramirez, these things

:08:10. > :08:13.elbow -- level out. Going back with theatre and football I find that

:08:14. > :08:17.with Jose-Maria knew all the time. He almost delivers a preprepared

:08:18. > :08:22.statement, like a missive to the fans at home and the cameras go off

:08:23. > :08:30.and he changes tack and he comes out with a different message. He decided

:08:31. > :08:35.to go on a rant how Manchester United would never have penalties

:08:36. > :08:39.given against him and it was pure agenda setting. When the cameras are

:08:40. > :08:47.off and you are talking to him, because people do not see that, how

:08:48. > :08:52.is he different? He is a lot more personable. He is still in the same

:08:53. > :08:58.auditorium at Chelsea and he is there and you are here, but it is a

:08:59. > :09:02.lot more knocked off the record, but a lot more information behind the

:09:03. > :09:07.message he wants to get out. It is very obvious when the cameras are on

:09:08. > :09:11.that he is performing and he has come in to say a certain message and

:09:12. > :09:17.he wants to make sure it gets delivered. Clearly that is part of

:09:18. > :09:21.being a manager now. His track record speaks volumes for him, but

:09:22. > :09:27.he will be hugely disappointed with that team that he put out. He would

:09:28. > :09:31.have expected them to steam roller Sunderland with what is at stake.

:09:32. > :09:35.That was a good team and they did not perform and ultimately that is

:09:36. > :09:41.what he is going to be judged on. Now it is looking like the

:09:42. > :09:50.Premiership is finished. Can you see through that in the dressing room? I

:09:51. > :09:55.can't remember. Gerard Houllier was good at it when we were having a bad

:09:56. > :10:00.spell. He would take the blame. There is nothing wrong now and again

:10:01. > :10:05.with a kick up the backside. That is not a bad thing. As a player you

:10:06. > :10:11.want to respond and show you are better than that. I think, all in

:10:12. > :10:14.all, you are right everything Jose-Maria knew has done is

:10:15. > :10:18.premeditated, but you cannot argue with what he gets from his players.

:10:19. > :10:27.He will be judging whether they can do that. Liverpool at Norwich and if

:10:28. > :10:31.everything is to stay as it is they will be five points clear. And next

:10:32. > :10:38.week if they win they will be nine points clear. Is it all over? You

:10:39. > :10:42.cannot say it is all over because Chelsea have got to go to Liverpool

:10:43. > :10:47.and they are more than capable of winning anywhere. The thing that

:10:48. > :10:50.worries me is if they give the impetus to Manchester City and

:10:51. > :11:01.sandwiched in between the Atletico Madrid games will he be able to pick

:11:02. > :11:08.a team that is capable of winning. A short answer would be for me yes, it

:11:09. > :11:13.is finished. Laura? I don't think so, I still think there will be some

:11:14. > :11:21.twists and turns even though Liverpool are playing phenomenally

:11:22. > :11:28.well. I think there was a silver haired gentleman enjoying a glass of

:11:29. > :11:37.wine and possibly stroking a cat! Was it you? It was not me. I think

:11:38. > :11:42.Manchester City might have a little bit of a say if they can recover.

:11:43. > :11:49.Crystal Palace will have the biggest say. They go to Everton and that is

:11:50. > :11:53.not easy. I think Liverpool are playing with such confidence and now

:11:54. > :11:57.they know it is even more in their own hands they can more or less

:11:58. > :12:03.afford a slip up and still win it. It is like a dog with a bone. What

:12:04. > :12:06.we saw against Manchester City was passion, the fans wanted it and the

:12:07. > :12:12.players wanted it. It is in their own hands. We talk about what

:12:13. > :12:20.managers say, whether they are saying it for our benefit, but there

:12:21. > :12:24.is no pressure there and they are enjoying it and they give that

:12:25. > :12:30.impression. They are not starting games nervously and they seem to

:12:31. > :12:36.have a carefree attitude. Before I was thinking sometimes you get this

:12:37. > :12:40.ridiculous scenario because they are so far ahead that is not positive,

:12:41. > :12:45.but for Liverpool it seems they have embraced that absolutely. You saw

:12:46. > :12:50.the banners at the training ground this week and they really seemed,

:12:51. > :13:01.and I know it sounds emotional, but they really seem to have taken that

:13:02. > :13:06.on board. It gets bigger every time you go. Last week Anfield was a

:13:07. > :13:11.sight to behold. I got to the Game three and a half hours before kick

:13:12. > :13:15.off and I have never seen as many people outside a football ground

:13:16. > :13:19.that early. Thousands and thousands lining the street, they were already

:13:20. > :13:26.three deep and everybody has bought into it. Liverpool have also shown

:13:27. > :13:30.apart from playing with confidence and freedom, their fitness levels

:13:31. > :13:35.and energy are higher. They have played less games. They have played

:13:36. > :13:42.40 games and Chelsea and Manchester City 52. In the momentum and the way

:13:43. > :13:46.they are playing you have a freshness the way they are playing.

:13:47. > :13:53.But if you are in good condition, and they have kept their star man

:13:54. > :13:59.fit, and you can just see the energy they play with in the game. Even at

:14:00. > :14:07.West Ham late on when they needed to dig in. Every game recently I have

:14:08. > :14:13.seen Daniel Sturridge's stats and Luis Suarez is having an impact on

:14:14. > :14:19.his game. The whole team gets lifted and playing ten or 12 games left, it

:14:20. > :14:25.makes a difference. That is not just luck the lack of injuries. There is

:14:26. > :14:33.more to it. We always look at it as though they have been lucky. You

:14:34. > :14:37.have teams in the past where there is a common trend with hamstring

:14:38. > :14:43.injuries and it is all to do with your condition and what you do in

:14:44. > :14:48.the week. It is the players as well. I am sure Luis Suarez is playing

:14:49. > :14:54.with lots of knocks. Look at Lionel Messi. I would be amazed to see how

:14:55. > :14:58.many games Luis Suarez has missed since he has been at Liverpool

:14:59. > :15:06.through injury and I bet it is not many, if any. Thank you for your

:15:07. > :15:13.text messages and tweets. Somebody says Van Jose Mourinho, he's a

:15:14. > :15:17.disgrace. Why can't you have some dignity? It blames anybody but

:15:18. > :15:25.himself and his team. Liverpool were fabulous. Will Jose Mourinho send

:15:26. > :15:28.out a second string next week at Anfield? I'm an Everton fan and I

:15:29. > :15:32.think Liverpool will win the league unless there are beaten by Chelsea.

:15:33. > :15:37.However, I do feel that the big game will be the one at Crystal Palace. I

:15:38. > :15:40.realised Sunderland fans will be throwing things at the television

:15:41. > :15:45.because I haven't mentioned you at all after your win at Stamford

:15:46. > :15:50.Bridge so let's focus on it and the relegation battle. We will hear from

:15:51. > :15:55.Gus Poyet. Apparently from the moment I stood on the ground, things

:15:56. > :16:03.changed for us. I think it's the way that the players believe in. We have

:16:04. > :16:06.been in a position where we couldn't win games, deserving to win,

:16:07. > :16:12.sometimes you need something special. Now it's not finished. We

:16:13. > :16:17.are still there. It's a big fight but we have the possibility to play

:16:18. > :16:21.against teams at the bottom at home, so it's up to us. We had to stop

:16:22. > :16:28.thinking about what we have done and start thinking about the next game.

:16:29. > :16:33.Which is Cardiff at home. Owen Coyle made a point this week when he said

:16:34. > :16:37.everybody thinks cup final defeat to city was a turning point but

:16:38. > :16:41.actually, it was when they failed to beat Crystal Palace at home and then

:16:42. > :16:44.they seem to completely lose confidence and that has been a

:16:45. > :16:49.problem. If you look at their run in, they have Manchester United on

:16:50. > :16:51.the last game of the season. You can see them getting something from at

:16:52. > :16:57.having failed to win the easier games. They have just been so, so

:16:58. > :17:01.unpredictable. Beating the teams around them is something they really

:17:02. > :17:07.haven't done. They go to Chelsea and pull off this remarkable victory and

:17:08. > :17:10.played brilliantly. Three other last four are at home. The reason I think

:17:11. > :17:13.that's the case is because when you have to dictate play and push

:17:14. > :17:18.forward, and dominate possession and take the game to your opponent, it's

:17:19. > :17:25.different from sitting back and destroying games. It easier than

:17:26. > :17:28.dominating and creating. At home in front of 35,000, they have got to

:17:29. > :17:33.get on the ball, which takes courage, make chances, and get

:17:34. > :17:40.points. It's a different mentality and that's maybe why they have had a

:17:41. > :17:45.good joy in going away. I have got friends who are still on the beat

:17:46. > :17:48.covering them home and away. I spoke to Graham Anderson from the Sunday

:17:49. > :17:52.Echo before Wednesday and rather prophetically, he said I can see

:17:53. > :17:56.exactly what will happen, they will have something here at Chelsea and

:17:57. > :18:01.then we'll lose the home games. Gus Poyet was like that last week after

:18:02. > :18:05.the game against Everton. He looked almost sorrowful. He said something

:18:06. > :18:10.along the lines of, I can't do any more with this football club. It led

:18:11. > :18:15.to rumours he was going to go. But I think he is buying into it. It's a

:18:16. > :18:18.huge thing. People outside the region don't realise how big

:18:19. > :18:21.Sunderland and Newcastle are. That reason has been bashed in that

:18:22. > :18:28.region has been starved of success forever. Instead of letting it

:18:29. > :18:33.overwhelm you, they need to get on with it. They should've won at

:18:34. > :18:37.Manchester City. The next home game, I'm forward to it. They have done

:18:38. > :18:42.this before over the years. But this is different. Their three games to

:18:43. > :18:48.go, for games to go, and three of them are at home. Yes, three of them

:18:49. > :18:52.are at home. After such good performances, if anything would have

:18:53. > :18:57.confidence, if that. I wonder if people could line the streets like

:18:58. > :19:01.at Anfield for the next home game. Their last home game with West Ham

:19:02. > :19:06.at home, Monday evening and I was there. It started off absolutely

:19:07. > :19:11.bouncing, the Stadium of light, but then they had so little composure in

:19:12. > :19:15.the final third that the nerves started to build and the crowd and

:19:16. > :19:19.the nerves started to build. West Ham managed to pick them off, so if

:19:20. > :19:25.it's going to be bouncing at the Stadium of Light, they will have to

:19:26. > :19:28.make a good start otherwise... I wonder if rock bottom was the own

:19:29. > :19:31.goal last Saturday, because they gave Everton are really good game

:19:32. > :19:39.and they were the better team for long periods. To call them the Black

:19:40. > :19:44.Cats is the most ill judged names. Laura, you were at White Hart Lane

:19:45. > :19:50.where Spurs beat Fulham by 3-1. Let's hear from Felix Magath. I

:19:51. > :20:02.think we have to win our home games. Get the points. It could be enough,

:20:03. > :20:08.maybe. We have a chance. You seem very confident that Fulham will do

:20:09. > :20:15.it? Yes, I am confident. I'm sure that we can stay up because there

:20:16. > :20:19.were some reasons why we are not as good as Tottenham today, but next

:20:20. > :20:23.week, I think we will be better. Felix Magath after the defeat by

:20:24. > :20:33.Spurs yesterday. 2-0 to Liverpool at Carrow Road. Was that a free game?

:20:34. > :20:35.For Fulham yesterday? That's what he said afterwards. He came here not

:20:36. > :20:42.expecting anything. Three points would have been improbable but

:20:43. > :20:45.wonderful. They keep making the same mistakes, Fulham. The first 25

:20:46. > :20:52.minutes, I was thinking, they are going to do well, dealing well with

:20:53. > :20:57.Emmanuel Adebayor in the air. Set pieces, absolutely unforgivable. Two

:20:58. > :21:01.goals. Brilliant deliveries. He was totally unmarked around the back.

:21:02. > :21:10.The marking was terrible. Eriksson was top class. I worry when I hear

:21:11. > :21:14.him say we were expecting nothing. I don't like that. That's not a good

:21:15. > :21:19.mentality to go into any game because you transfer it to your

:21:20. > :21:24.players. But he's right, the home games are going to be huge now. It's

:21:25. > :21:29.fascinating, the bottom is becoming more exciting than the top, isn't

:21:30. > :21:35.it? They are all in with a shout. They have done a lot better than I

:21:36. > :21:41.thought, I must admit. I basically ruled them out at that point, but to

:21:42. > :21:45.be in with a shout, it's great. Hull at home, Stoke away and Crystal

:21:46. > :21:49.Palace at home. Crystal Palace seem to have a say in every game between

:21:50. > :21:56.now and the end of the season. Can they stay up? Yes, those two home

:21:57. > :22:02.games can be won. What I saw a bomb in a last two home games, I think

:22:03. > :22:06.they can. -- what I saw of them. I personally wouldn't bet on them

:22:07. > :22:11.either because I have seen them play badly and the other teams have just

:22:12. > :22:14.looked better. I think Sunderland could do it now. I don't know who

:22:15. > :22:22.was going to go down. Stating the obvious, Norwich roll over the

:22:23. > :22:29.place. When you score the goal which cat followed up in 2007-8 season,

:22:30. > :22:38.where you looking to see what other teams were playing? No, you look.

:22:39. > :22:43.The little bit of difference then, when recreated that, we really work

:22:44. > :22:48.down. I mean, we felt like we had gone. We played with that spirit. We

:22:49. > :22:53.got momentum after a few results went for us. Now it's so close, the

:22:54. > :22:56.pressure on every game is close. I mean, I love the club and the

:22:57. > :23:02.supporters. I really hope they do it. Crystal Palace, the season they

:23:03. > :23:06.have had, it wouldn't surprise me if it goes down to the last day for

:23:07. > :23:12.Fulham. That's never going to be needy game. Let's go to Cardiff and

:23:13. > :23:16.get a reaction after the game yesterday at home to Stoke. 1-1,

:23:17. > :23:20.couple of penalties. A disallowed goal for Cardiff full stop Ole

:23:21. > :23:24.Gunnar Solskjaer do a proper post match interview. The response was

:23:25. > :23:31.positive after half-time. What did you say to the players of the break?

:23:32. > :23:36.You need to use that decision for all its worth. It was important we

:23:37. > :23:43.kept cool and tried to do the right thing and not over elaborate on

:23:44. > :23:47.that. These boys, they have a never say die great attitude to come back

:23:48. > :23:52.into the game in the second half. We really got momentum after we got the

:23:53. > :23:59.goal. Towards the end, they could have won it as well. It's a good

:24:00. > :24:03.point. Is it a good point? Not at home. They had to be winning at

:24:04. > :24:09.home. I don't think so. It amazes me how this phase so cheerful. He

:24:10. > :24:12.always has a twinkle in his eye. I wonder if that's what keeps the

:24:13. > :24:17.players upbeat and fighting. He did not quite cheerful at half-time

:24:18. > :24:24.after that penalty was given to Stoke. I think Stoke have only lost

:24:25. > :24:29.one in their last nine games. Yes. Every point now will matter but the

:24:30. > :24:33.home games are important. In the context of a relegation battle, is

:24:34. > :24:41.one point good enough? Could've been better. The way they have been

:24:42. > :24:44.playing, they have been losing games at home but it's something to build

:24:45. > :24:46.on. They have been losing games at home but it's something to build on.

:24:47. > :24:51.They've still got a chance. Sunderland away. Newcastle away.

:24:52. > :24:56.Chelsea at home. When I go to the fixes the end of the season, it is

:24:57. > :24:59.absolutely pointless. Sunderland boss home form being bad, I'd let

:25:00. > :25:06.anybody has got the worst last six games than Newcastle. They've lost

:25:07. > :25:14.five in a row. They could do it, couldn't they? I can see is having a

:25:15. > :25:18.last day gain when we have the calculators out in 2005 until the

:25:19. > :25:22.last day. I considered again this year. Do you think the upset with

:25:23. > :25:30.the team leaking is going to affect Cardiff at all? No. I think players

:25:31. > :25:35.will just get on with it. As a player myself, most weeks you would

:25:36. > :25:38.know the team before. The fact it got out and somebody was trying to

:25:39. > :25:41.make a mountain out of a mole hill, I don't think it will affect the

:25:42. > :25:48.players in any way. It was a big straw being clutched at. Everybody

:25:49. > :25:52.says this always goes on the fourth of a disgruntled former team-mate,

:25:53. > :25:58.there were not many secrets. Not even in a negative way. Sometimes

:25:59. > :26:02.you will find a mate to see if you're playing against them. I have

:26:03. > :26:10.done loads. Are you playing? Yes, I am playing. Who are the other nine?

:26:11. > :26:15.But you don't even ask because you know each other so well anyway. With

:26:16. > :26:18.Liverpool, you know their best team but this just about how they were

:26:19. > :26:23.line-up. West Brom, game tomorrow night which affects the bottom of

:26:24. > :26:33.the race, Manchester City against West Bromwich the build upon Radio 5

:26:34. > :26:38.Live from 7pm. Let's concentrate now on Norwich, two - zero down, four

:26:39. > :26:42.minutes to go at Carrow Road. Let's concentrate on the second game this

:26:43. > :26:49.afternoon, a rehearsal for the cup final, I suppose E Stadium. Arsenal

:26:50. > :26:52.against Hull. Jonathan Pearce is doing the game for us. This is much

:26:53. > :26:59.more than a cup final rehearsal, isn't it? Yes, it is. Happy Easter

:27:00. > :27:04.to you. It's a cold Easter Sunday here, I can tell you and the cup

:27:05. > :27:07.final rehearsal with a league twist because Hull still need another

:27:08. > :27:12.winner. They might have done enough already but they will need another

:27:13. > :27:17.victory to calm down a few nerves and that would make it a remarkable

:27:18. > :27:22.season, cup final and staying in the Premier League for the second season

:27:23. > :27:26.running. Arsenal are back in the box seat now because Everton's slip-up

:27:27. > :27:30.against Crystal Palace. They have an easier run in front top four place

:27:31. > :27:38.but can't afford any slip-ups today, so it's vitally important for these

:27:39. > :27:41.two sides to do well. With only 13 at home since they beat Liverpool

:27:42. > :27:45.here. That shows what they're capable of doing on this ground and

:27:46. > :27:51.Arsenal away from home and been sticky. They have conceded goals and

:27:52. > :27:57.we think Hull may have players back in the team. Do you sense a slight

:27:58. > :28:04.nervousness they may not be safe yet? I don't know. You speak to the

:28:05. > :28:09.fans outside, and they are already looking forward to Wembley. I spoke

:28:10. > :28:11.to some of this morning desperate to get as cup final tickets, he's

:28:12. > :28:18.queueing up for it on Tuesday, I believe. They talk about it is a big

:28:19. > :28:25.showpiece finale for their season. The first cup final appearance for

:28:26. > :28:28.them. But, Steve Bruce has said in his match programme notes, they made

:28:29. > :28:32.more mistakes in the first half an hour in that game than they did in

:28:33. > :28:36.the previous six months in the league. He has been a bit cagey. He

:28:37. > :28:40.won't take things for granted until the know mathematically they are

:28:41. > :28:43.safe. I think they will do enough, but they do have a couple of tricky

:28:44. > :28:48.games coming up against Aston Villa and Fulham. And then Manchester

:28:49. > :28:54.United and Everton before the cup final. They did do with something

:28:55. > :29:02.today. There are rumours about Arsenal today. He's back in the

:29:03. > :29:08.squad. He hasn't been in since Bayern Munich. Earlier on in the

:29:09. > :29:15.week I heard he wouldn't be in yesterday, someone told me he may

:29:16. > :29:20.well start. Mathieu Flamini is back from suspension after ten bookings.

:29:21. > :29:28.He will come back into midfield. And also back is Monreal. He picked up a

:29:29. > :29:32.hamstring injury in midweek. I think Monreal will slot in at left back

:29:33. > :29:36.but in terms of Mathieu Flamini coming back. There is genuine,

:29:37. > :29:43.edition for places which they have not had for the last six weeks or

:29:44. > :29:52.so. That competition for places. -- competition for places. They will be

:29:53. > :29:56.welcomed back by Arsene Wenger today. A massive game for them. If

:29:57. > :30:01.they can win here and Everton slip-up, Arsenal are almost in the

:30:02. > :30:05.top four yet again. Steve Bruce has told the Arsenal fans, treasure

:30:06. > :30:09.Arsene Wenger and look what he has achieved for you. It's better the

:30:10. > :30:18.devil you know that the devil you don't. Thank you very much,

:30:19. > :30:24.Jonathan. If Arsenal finish fourth and win the FA Cup, is that a

:30:25. > :30:30.successful season? Yes, they need to win a trophy. Whether it will be

:30:31. > :30:37.enough for Arsene Wenger to sign a contract is a different story. What

:30:38. > :30:43.do you think that will come down to? I think he feels he needs a trophy

:30:44. > :30:48.after all this time. Steve Bruce is right in that we underestimate how

:30:49. > :30:54.phenomenal a manager he has been in terms of success and the Emirates

:30:55. > :30:58.Stadium. But to see this team he has got now through to its potential I

:30:59. > :31:05.think that trophy would do him the world of good. As Jonathan mentioned

:31:06. > :31:10.missing Mesut Ozil, him potentially coming back into the side gives

:31:11. > :31:16.Arsenal some pace with Theo Walcott sideline. It will be interesting.

:31:17. > :31:22.Fourth place in the FA Cup and fourth place and runners-up in the

:31:23. > :31:30.FA Cup, is that a successful season? No, purely based on the fact it has

:31:31. > :31:34.been so long. Credit to the Arsenal team for them being part of that

:31:35. > :31:38.title race when nobody expected it. I think they did better than I

:31:39. > :31:43.personally thought they would do. As a player if you win a trophy like

:31:44. > :31:47.the FA Cup and you have the Champions League trophy, you have

:31:48. > :31:52.got a medal and something to look forward to and the ability and the

:31:53. > :31:57.potential to sign better players from the club's perspective. The

:31:58. > :32:02.fourth place is equally as important normally, but with Arsenal given the

:32:03. > :32:08.choice now I think they would take the FA Cup. We got a text and in

:32:09. > :32:13.amongst the vitriol was if Arsenal win the FA Cup and finish fourth,

:32:14. > :32:23.that is a better season than Manchester City. It is all relative.

:32:24. > :32:27.The FA Cup trumps the Capital One cup. They have to win both and

:32:28. > :32:32.Arsene Wenger will be rejuvenated if they finish fourth and win the FA

:32:33. > :32:38.Cup. It might put a spring in his steps again. The fans are desperate

:32:39. > :32:44.for a trophy. You are talking about cherishing managers. There are two

:32:45. > :32:47.involved at the KC Stadium today. Steve Bruce for years has been

:32:48. > :32:53.fantastic that what he does and for some reason I do not think clubs and

:32:54. > :33:07.supporters ever quite gave him the credit. Why is that? I have no idea.

:33:08. > :33:12.He is popular with players, he is tactically spot on and I think he

:33:13. > :33:17.deserves full credit. Is it because he is English? Not quite as

:33:18. > :33:24.glamorous. His track record is brilliant. Manchester United fans,

:33:25. > :33:37.if you want me to pass on your comments to Danny... I did that for

:33:38. > :33:42.you. Let's go to Carrow Road. Liverpool were out of the blocks

:33:43. > :33:48.very quickly as has been the case in many of their matches this season.

:33:49. > :33:53.Rahim Stirling scored from 25 yards out and unleashed a shot which John

:33:54. > :33:58.Ruddy could do nothing about. Seven minutes later it was Stirling who

:33:59. > :34:03.provided Luis Suarez with a chance. Norwich were at fault for not

:34:04. > :34:07.defending the ball that came into the penalty area. There was a spell

:34:08. > :34:13.when Norwich had a lot of possession and they caused a few nervous

:34:14. > :34:18.moments in the Liverpool defence, and that was the time when Norwich

:34:19. > :34:22.needed to score to get back into the game because Liverpool sat back

:34:23. > :34:27.comfortably knocking the ball around. You sense and less Norwich

:34:28. > :34:32.can put in a monumental effort, Liverpool are going to win this game

:34:33. > :34:37.and moved five points clear. We will come back to Steve Bruce in

:34:38. > :34:41.a minute. One thing I heard this week is if you are going to get rid

:34:42. > :34:49.of Chris Hughton with only five games to go, would it have been

:34:50. > :34:51.better to have gone down what Sunderland did and go completely

:34:52. > :34:58.opposite on a bit of a wing and a prayer, brain in somebody like Paolo

:34:59. > :35:04.Di Canio, and it worked at the end of last season. The appointment they

:35:05. > :35:11.have made is not somebody completely different. I agree with that

:35:12. > :35:16.sentiment, although I do not know his credentials. I do not want to do

:35:17. > :35:20.him an injustice. As a player you are looking for somebody a bit more

:35:21. > :35:25.inspirational, somebody who can get something out of you. I think the

:35:26. > :35:31.thinking was at Carrow Road with the games coming up they wanted a

:35:32. > :35:35.feel-good factor and not negativity. Increased's last couple of games it

:35:36. > :35:40.was negative before they kicked off. It is hard to play under that

:35:41. > :35:45.pressure. They could have well been better served, hindsight is a

:35:46. > :35:51.wonderful thing, bringing in someone a bit more outside the box. Your

:35:52. > :35:56.eyes widened when I mentioned Paolo Di Canio. Do you know what I mean

:35:57. > :36:03.about that point? I know what you mean. I wonder how much fan power

:36:04. > :36:07.played a part because in the media we were outwardly looking in on

:36:08. > :36:15.Norwich and we were surprised why they did that to Chris Hughton. The

:36:16. > :36:22.fans wanted him outside of the door for a while. Adams is popular. You

:36:23. > :36:27.needed somebody a bit unpopular a bit like Felix Magath. But it is

:36:28. > :36:32.having an effect and it is doing something. I think the shock factor

:36:33. > :36:40.if you are going to do it that late on in the season. It only works for

:36:41. > :36:43.short-term. Paolo Di Canio, for all his critics, you can only think back

:36:44. > :36:50.on the type of player he was and the present he has got, so that worked

:36:51. > :36:57.for him. Do you see him coming back into management? May at

:36:58. > :37:10.Chesterfield. Maybe Championship. I do not think the Premier will take a

:37:11. > :37:17.risk on him. They are always clamouring for him. Back to Steve

:37:18. > :37:27.Bruce. You mentioned his signing of Nikica Jelavic. He is tactically

:37:28. > :37:34.flexible as well. He quite often plays three at the back. He changes

:37:35. > :37:38.it to suit. He did it last Sunday and made changes in terms of

:37:39. > :37:43.personnel at half-time. What I liked about it was when he got all the

:37:44. > :37:49.praise for changing it he said, I got it wrong at the start. He is

:37:50. > :37:54.aware, he understands football and football people and the fans. He

:37:55. > :37:59.gets it. Laura has a good point, because he is English it is not a

:38:00. > :38:06.sexy appointment. People do not get as excited as they should do.

:38:07. > :38:10.Brendan Rodgers and Tony Pulis for Manager of the Season, but Steve

:38:11. > :38:14.Bruce is going to lead Hull City to the most successful season in their

:38:15. > :38:24.history. They are close enough anyway. You are right, he has done

:38:25. > :38:27.brilliantly and he has been evolving as a manager. I remember playing

:38:28. > :38:35.against his team 's earlier and they were a bit more for-4- two and a bit

:38:36. > :38:38.in your face and a bit predictable. With the wisdom he has got he

:38:39. > :38:45.realises he cannot be a one trick pony. I played against Hull early in

:38:46. > :38:51.the season and they completely dominated us. He was the one who

:38:52. > :39:01.made them aware. I wonder if he made a bit of a rod for his own back when

:39:02. > :39:07.he flitted about too much. Well, we can call him Steve look Bruce. At

:39:08. > :39:16.Goodison today a lot of attention will be on the managers as David

:39:17. > :39:20.Moyes returns to his old club. The champions, that is a big enough

:39:21. > :39:25.reason to be excited and to make sure we get the best possible

:39:26. > :39:30.environment at Goodison, having the opportunity to do the double on

:39:31. > :39:35.United is not easy to achieve. And then the return of David Moyes. We

:39:36. > :39:39.are a club full of integrity and style and we are a proper football

:39:40. > :39:46.club and we will show respect to David Moyes. I had some great times

:39:47. > :39:50.there, I worked with some great people and more importantly I worked

:39:51. > :39:54.with some great players. The players were terrific and I am pleased to

:39:55. > :40:01.see them doing well. Roberto has done a brilliant job in the time he

:40:02. > :40:06.has been in charge. I go back with some great feelings, but I go back

:40:07. > :40:12.as Manchester United manager and my focus is on that now. He is going to

:40:13. > :40:18.get hammered. I am looking at Everton fans. He is going to get

:40:19. > :40:26.hammered. Yes, I think he will. The Everton fans, a group of them, have

:40:27. > :40:38.taken a banner which says, School of science, open June, 2014, and I

:40:39. > :40:43.think it is back to theatre again. Everton have to beat Manchester

:40:44. > :40:48.United. But deep down they will be thankful for what David Moyes did to

:40:49. > :40:56.the club. They appear to be thankful, but his behaviour since

:40:57. > :41:00.has annoyed them. He got a fantastic reception against West Ham, his

:41:01. > :41:07.behaviour will result in brewing today. He made insulting bids by

:41:08. > :41:13.Leighton Baines and Fellaini. That is where the problem is. They feel

:41:14. > :41:19.it is contradictory behaviour when he was defending those players. But

:41:20. > :41:24.I do not know the exact dynamic of Manchester United, but most managers

:41:25. > :41:29.will give a list of players that he wants to whoever is in charge of

:41:30. > :41:33.doing the bidding and they will do the negotiation. I would be

:41:34. > :41:38.surprised if David Moyes was saying only bid this. You leave that

:41:39. > :41:41.responsibility to someone else. I understand why the Everton fans are

:41:42. > :41:46.on his back and today they will make it hostile to help Everton win. They

:41:47. > :41:50.will have a pint in the pub and they talk about the last ten years of

:41:51. > :41:57.Everton they know what job David Moyes has done for them. The more

:41:58. > :42:00.annoying for Everton is what they did during the week against Crystal

:42:01. > :42:07.Palace because today should be about building on a platform, but they

:42:08. > :42:19.blew it. They really did, but with David Moyes coming back he says he

:42:20. > :42:23.wants to say how he built the ten years. But football fans have got

:42:24. > :42:29.short memories and it is the nature of the tribal sport we watch.

:42:30. > :42:36.Yesterday, the hero, today, the enemy. I am not sure it is the bids.

:42:37. > :42:41.Everton did quite well about that. There should be a standing ovation.

:42:42. > :42:46.It was the text that said a football club should do what is right for the

:42:47. > :42:54.players, which was a pat on the head for Everton. It almost hints and him

:42:55. > :43:01.saying he would have sold them. That is the contradictory nature. From

:43:02. > :43:06.his point of view, I was in that job and now I am in this job and I have

:43:07. > :43:08.got to do what it is best for me in this job. Who do you see winning?

:43:09. > :43:23.BOOING I fancy Man United, they have got

:43:24. > :43:31.the best away record. Rooney is back and they seem to be playing with a

:43:32. > :43:37.bit more of a freedom. I think that helps them now because they have got

:43:38. > :43:42.quality players and they are playing only for a position in the table.

:43:43. > :43:47.Thank you very much. Kyle says, I am a Manchester United fan, but I hate

:43:48. > :43:53.to say this but Liverpool will win the league. And another fan says we

:43:54. > :43:56.are dreaming and I am getting very excited. Followed the second half on

:43:57. > :44:02.Five Live.
