:01:08. > :01:12.The brief summer respite is over for the MotoGP pressure cooker, as

:01:12. > :01:17.the temperature rises once again here amongst the pack hillsides of

:01:17. > :01:25.Brno. Today is all about Jorge Lorenzo against Casey Stoner, who

:01:25. > :01:30.took a crucial victory three weeks ago. Jorge Lorenzo had cut stone

:01:30. > :01:36.a's lead to 50 points before the US Grand Prix but he was lucky to be

:01:36. > :01:40.racing a tour after a crash in practice. The Spaniard bounced back

:01:40. > :01:48.with a stunning qualifying performance, then turned pole

:01:48. > :01:53.position into an early race lead. After winning in Germany last time

:01:53. > :01:58.out, Dani Pedrosa was back on the pace, passing Casey Stoner at the

:01:58. > :02:02.start. Once he closed down the lead, he struggled to maintain the speed.

:02:02. > :02:11.After watching Lorenzo and Pedrosa's efforts in the first part

:02:11. > :02:21.of the race, Casey Stoner struck. There is no coming back from the

:02:21. > :02:23.

:02:23. > :02:32.The 5th when of the season for the Australian put him back in control

:02:32. > :02:39.of the championship. Back in control but it was something of an

:02:39. > :02:44.opportunist win with Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa are struggling for

:02:44. > :02:48.fitness. It has been the case really here and now, about 25

:02:48. > :02:51.minutes to race start. Casey Stoner is in the race box, still with

:02:52. > :02:59.plenty to talk about with the mechanics. He said last night he

:02:59. > :03:05.was happy to have a chat with us at this point in the programme, but

:03:05. > :03:09.unfortunately he was 5th fastest and not happy at all. A different

:03:09. > :03:16.story a couple of doors down - Jorge Lorenzo was second fastest in

:03:16. > :03:20.the warm up, albeit off the pace of Dani Pedrosa, who was 0.7 seconds

:03:20. > :03:27.clear of the field. As I said, the championship story is all about

:03:27. > :03:33.Jorge Lorenzo and Casey Stoner here this weekend. That victory for

:03:33. > :03:37.Casey Stoner three weeks ago put him 20 points clear in the

:03:37. > :03:41.championship standings. It would have been 10 points if Jorge

:03:41. > :03:51.Lorenzo had managed to have gone to Lorenzo had managed to have gone to

:03:51. > :03:56.

:03:56. > :04:01.the victory -- hang on to the after a victory at Sachsenring and

:04:01. > :04:04.third place at Laguna Seca, that game after four races out with a

:04:04. > :04:14.broken collarbone. An amazing return to fitness for the Spaniard.

:04:14. > :04:22.

:04:22. > :04:32.How does he do it? I thought we upside-down and wins in Portugal.

:04:32. > :04:40.

:04:40. > :04:45.Talk about pushing, Dani Pedrosa et Dani Pedrosa. The pace he put on in

:04:45. > :04:49.the last couple of laps was extraordinary. After that injury,

:04:49. > :04:53.you came back to take the victory at Sachsenring. Were you surprised

:04:53. > :05:03.how quickly you came back to winning ways? Yes, I was very

:05:03. > :05:06.

:05:07. > :05:14.The race was hard when I came back. I expected that so it was normal.

:05:14. > :05:21.Then I thought, OK, we are going to Sachsenring, I can improve. Instead

:05:21. > :05:29.of finishing in eighth place, I can be me be around five. Then I

:05:29. > :05:33.managed to come back and win the race. It was really impressive for

:05:33. > :05:42.me, also for my team. They were surprised. Emotionally, it must

:05:42. > :05:47.have been a big victory for you as well? Yes, just after the victories,

:05:47. > :05:52.both of them were very emotional. For this is not the first season

:05:52. > :05:56.his championship challenge has been curtailed by injury, leading some

:05:56. > :06:02.doubt as to suggest this time he might not bounce back at all.

:06:02. > :06:07.after so many injuries, my body is not like it was before. I start to

:06:07. > :06:12.feel the injuries more than when I was 16. To get back, it is not easy

:06:12. > :06:21.this time. The doubts other people had about you when you were a way,

:06:21. > :06:27.do they ever cross your mind? know how it works so it is normal.

:06:28. > :06:33.Normally the press picks you up and takes you down immediately. More

:06:33. > :06:42.than that, at the same time I had all of the fans, my family around,

:06:42. > :06:51.they help a lot not to come to deep down. I had my moments where I

:06:51. > :07:00.thought I don't want to get crash - - I don't want to crush any more,

:07:00. > :07:05.it is painful and I don't want any more surgeries but it is thanks to

:07:05. > :07:09.them. It looks like I am good enough. The you can definitely say

:07:09. > :07:14.that. What about your relationship with some of the other riders? We

:07:14. > :07:19.know you have had a problem with Simoncelli, but in the past you and

:07:19. > :07:29.Jorge Lorenzo seemed to be friends. Yes, we had a good communication at

:07:29. > :07:39.

:07:39. > :07:49.that time, but we are quite nice to a completely different story. Time

:07:49. > :07:52.

:07:52. > :08:01.Can we expect you to win any more in the season?

:08:01. > :08:09.Of course. To get victories is hard because Casey Stoner and Jorge

:08:09. > :08:14.Lorenzo are very good but if I can get back in shape soon, I still may

:08:14. > :08:19.well win races. If I can get some more victories before the end of

:08:19. > :08:24.the season, I will be happy. If not, you get an injury and you know when

:08:24. > :08:30.you come back you will win! No, I try not to get injuries, just

:08:30. > :08:35.victories. Great to see him looking so confident. He is on pole

:08:35. > :08:39.position this weekend. Charlie, he has shown such great resilience to

:08:39. > :08:43.come back after some bad injuries and to keep smiling like that. You

:08:43. > :08:49.know what it is like to come back from injuries and you are still

:08:49. > :08:54.smiling. I am just a happy-go-lucky man. Dani Pedrosa is running the

:08:54. > :08:59.risk of becoming the greatest rider never to win a championship. This

:08:59. > :09:05.year he was really pushing Casey Stoner hard. Before he was taken

:09:05. > :09:10.out, he was in the title hunt but not now. Championship pace now, the

:09:10. > :09:14.last two races, as good as you have seen him ride? Absolutely, you can

:09:14. > :09:18.mend bones but the confidence is back now as well and he will be the

:09:18. > :09:25.man to beat. The man they are chasing in the championship, when

:09:25. > :09:29.he is confident, have a look at this... Casey Stoner in slow-motion.

:09:29. > :09:34.You can see the rear wheel spinning up, it is travelling faster than

:09:34. > :09:40.the front wheel. He is lifting up his elbow because he is so close to

:09:40. > :09:46.the kerb. It is such a treat to watch someone doing that at so many

:09:46. > :09:51.frames per second. A beautiful shot. Unfortunately not riding with that

:09:51. > :09:58.much confidence this weekend, but I know you were on your computer all

:09:58. > :10:08.night so tell us about this graphic you were working on. Look at this.

:10:08. > :10:11.

:10:11. > :10:17.He is trying to hold the bike upright as much as he can. It is

:10:17. > :10:24.spectacular to work out how he is doing that. The suspension is

:10:24. > :10:29.pressed, and the motorcycle should not really be standing up. He is

:10:29. > :10:33.cheating because he is leaning on the kerb. Steve is downloading

:10:34. > :10:38.information most nights, really committed. We have got to say, when

:10:38. > :10:42.we are talking about extreme leaning, the king of it, John

:10:42. > :10:47.Hopkins, he was one of the first MotoGP riders to be getting his

:10:47. > :10:54.elbow down, he was going to be here this weekend but it has all gone

:10:54. > :10:59.wrong. Yes, such a shame because it has been going so well. A pretty

:10:59. > :11:06.straightforward crash, but as he hits the gravel, he catches his

:11:06. > :11:09.fingers, dislocates one and breaks two more. He has got to be out on

:11:09. > :11:14.his own bike in the next couple of weeks but it was going brilliantly

:11:14. > :11:20.well and we need him back here. has shown he has the ability to be

:11:20. > :11:23.here. No question about it, he wants to be back next year. It was

:11:23. > :11:28.so disappointing because I think they are also trying to convince

:11:28. > :11:32.Suzuki to be here and have two motorcycles. Problems for Suzuki,

:11:32. > :11:37.but light at the end of the tunnel for Ducatis this weekend. They have

:11:37. > :11:44.made some good changes, it is starting to work. They have changed

:11:44. > :11:54.their head stuck on the bike. They are definitely moving in the right

:11:54. > :11:55.

:11:55. > :12:00.direction. The question is when it go for the whole race? You're

:12:00. > :12:04.getting attacked by a wasp. I think it is my hair gel. The track

:12:04. > :12:08.temperature will be a big issue because we have not have these

:12:08. > :12:15.temperatures all week. A no, it has changed a lot, a lot of rain

:12:15. > :12:23.yesterday as well. It will be a lot about estimation and getting it

:12:23. > :12:31.right but it should be a great race. Meanwhile, we have been looking at

:12:31. > :12:41.the British riders from the 122 cc class and taking them back to

:12:41. > :13:09.

:13:09. > :13:15.You are late, get inside! Be careful, Harry. Bradley, thanks for

:13:15. > :13:24.the Apple. Scott, Daniel, pay attention. We are at the halfway

:13:24. > :13:27.point of the season. Who has had the most crashes this year? Harry.

:13:27. > :13:32.When Harry applies himself, he is very capable but his discipline

:13:32. > :13:36.leaves a lot to be desired. He showed improvement in the last race

:13:36. > :13:41.and he was looking for his first ever points finish before a crash

:13:41. > :13:51.on the last lap. Hopefully he can build on the momentum and have a

:13:51. > :13:51.

:13:51. > :13:57.more consistent second half. It has not been my fault. Who is the top

:13:57. > :14:04.Brit in the 125 class? That is me. Danny is doing very well this year

:14:04. > :14:08.and has really taken to his new surroundings. He finished 4th in

:14:09. > :14:16.one race and has had four top-ten finishes. He has a bright future

:14:17. > :14:22.ahead of him and should be challenging for podiums soon.

:14:22. > :14:28.really happy with how the season has gone. Attendance - who missed a

:14:28. > :14:36.practice session to sit their A- level exam? That one was Taylor.

:14:36. > :14:41.Snitch. Taylor has shown how capable he is taking fifth-place in

:14:41. > :14:49.the wet in Spain. One crash in eight races is not bad. He needs to

:14:49. > :14:57.start finishing in the points more often this year. Now I have an

:14:57. > :15:04.engine, I will try harder. Progress - who has been held back for a 50

:15:04. > :15:08.it in 125s? That will be Dani. Danny has always had a reputation

:15:08. > :15:13.for crashing but he has matured this year and is doing a good job

:15:13. > :15:23.of developing his bike. He showed great strength to ride after a

:15:23. > :15:26.

:15:26. > :15:32.crash in warm up and has made a big That is all right. Not too bad.

:15:32. > :15:42.has got the most podium finishes this year? That is me. Bradley has

:15:42. > :15:46.taken very well to the challenge of MotoGP. He had a little slip up in

:15:46. > :15:55.the last race in Germany when he was lucky to escape unhurt.

:15:55. > :16:00.Hopefully that will not halt his momentum. He currently lies 5th.

:16:00. > :16:07.Good. Mummy and daddy will be pleased. Attitude. Who has been in

:16:07. > :16:11.trouble for fighting? There were high hopes for a Scot coming into

:16:11. > :16:16.the second season. Unfortunately he has not been able to turn his

:16:16. > :16:21.natural talent into results. He needs to learn to control his

:16:22. > :16:26.temper in class and qualified further up the field. -- and to

:16:26. > :16:36.qualify. An impressive finish in Germany should give him the

:16:36. > :16:36.

:16:36. > :16:45.confidence. That is the only Grade I got in my career. I guess I will

:16:45. > :16:49.have to up my game. God, that is really depressing! The headmaster

:16:49. > :16:59.wants to see you after class. The rest of you will have to work

:16:59. > :17:01.

:17:01. > :17:07.harder to stop the Spanish kids Remind me never to get on the wrong

:17:07. > :17:17.side of her! One of the riders was Taylor Mackenzie. I have got his

:17:17. > :17:22.dad, Neil McKenzie. We heard the half term report. What is Urus?

:17:22. > :17:28.think it was fair. He has to improve in quite a few areas. It is

:17:28. > :17:33.a tough. He is riding with some of the best riders in the world. It is

:17:33. > :17:38.a roller-coaster. Toffs some weekends. Other weekends he

:17:38. > :17:43.surprises himself. It is a massive jigsaw. Every week there is another

:17:43. > :17:49.piece in place and you make progress. He has got plenty of

:17:49. > :17:57.promise. That peace was filmed before today's races. Taylor

:17:57. > :18:06.finished 23rd. Danny crashed out. Harry finished 30th. Danny Webb was

:18:06. > :18:12.12. Bradley Smith crashed. Not a great day. What about the premier

:18:12. > :18:18.class? What do you make of Cal Crutchlow's season? Very difficult

:18:19. > :18:25.for Cal. He has proved he has got the potential. He is making

:18:25. > :18:35.progress. He is looking quite competitive. Looking good. It is a

:18:35. > :18:41.track he is familiar with. Yes, I'm expecting top six or seven today.

:18:41. > :18:48.They at would be a great result. Cal is fighting for rookie of the

:18:48. > :18:54.year. He has only got one of Poland. That is the man riding his bike.

:18:54. > :19:04.Karel Abraham. This is his home race. His dad owns part of the

:19:04. > :19:05.

:19:05. > :19:10.circuit. And he also owns the team. How has the transition been to

:19:10. > :19:19.MotoGP? You did get a lot of criticism last year because this is

:19:19. > :19:27.your father's team. How did that make you feel? It was a bad feeling.

:19:27. > :19:34.But at the end of the year I was trying to get the best results. The

:19:34. > :19:40.people who like me, like me. Those who do not will doubt me. What

:19:41. > :19:46.about the level and MotoGP? Did you expect to be where you were?

:19:46. > :19:56.expected to be a little bit worse. I am surprised with my results. The

:19:56. > :19:58.

:19:58. > :20:03.season is not over. My experience so far is if I do not do well,

:20:03. > :20:10.everything goes a lot worse. It is very difficult to get back to the

:20:10. > :20:16.rhythm. We have to push as hard as we can. What about this weekend?

:20:16. > :20:26.This is a special race track and the special crowd? There is a lot

:20:26. > :20:27.

:20:27. > :20:32.of pressure. Pressure from sponsors, fans, family, friends. They are

:20:32. > :20:36.trying to be nice with me. Everybody asking questions. The

:20:36. > :20:46.press conferences and everything. That makes the pressure. It will be

:20:46. > :20:55.difficult. What is it about this place that makes it so special?

:20:55. > :21:04.This is a very trick -- tricky part of the track. It changes direction.

:21:04. > :21:14.Exiting out of the corners here is very important. Let's have a look

:21:14. > :21:15.

:21:15. > :21:21.at the two chicanes. This is turn 11 and 12. It is very steep. What

:21:21. > :21:28.else about it is important? Were when you're on the bike you do not

:21:28. > :21:34.feel at that stage. It is interesting. It is very important.

:21:34. > :21:44.You have to be good at the exit. You have to be very fast through

:21:44. > :21:45.

:21:45. > :21:53.turn 12. Carry the speed on that straight up the hill. Exiting the

:21:53. > :21:59.corner you lose five times more at the end. That is going into the

:21:59. > :22:02.final chicane where it is everything or bossed? Right.

:22:02. > :22:10.Hopefully you will be fighting for a good position on Sunday. Good

:22:10. > :22:16.I am afraid it is going to be difficult for him to be fighting

:22:16. > :22:26.for a good position today. There is nobody behind him. He starts in the

:22:26. > :22:36.

:22:36. > :22:42.Crutchlow came a cropper on turned 10. -- turned 10. Rossi has had a

:22:42. > :22:49.wretched time recently. He put in a good performance to claim a. Casey

:22:49. > :22:55.Stoner had the odd moment. He held the top spots until 15 minutes from

:22:55. > :23:05.the end when Jorge Lorenzo knocked him off his perch. Dani Pedrosa 0

:23:05. > :23:25.

:23:25. > :23:35.beat the pair of them to claim his Dani Pedrosa on pole position for

:23:35. > :23:36.

:23:36. > :23:42.the first time this season. Ben Spies, an impressive race starter.

:23:42. > :23:48.He has had a pinched nerve. Until now he has only been able to put

:23:48. > :23:55.four Halve laughs together. How do you feel? Usually I am looking

:23:55. > :24:01.forward to the end of the race. Now it is about damage control. We will

:24:01. > :24:05.do the best we can for as long as we can and see what happens. It has

:24:05. > :24:11.been a tough weekend so far. I am getting more tired. The team has

:24:11. > :24:15.been doing a great job. The bike is working great. Given the

:24:15. > :24:21.uncertainty, what is the plan of attack? Will you have to make a

:24:21. > :24:31.really good start? Yes. Ride as hard as I can for as long as I can

:24:31. > :24:31.

:24:31. > :24:36.and try to make it to the finish. Ben Spies a contender. Cal

:24:36. > :24:42.Crutchlow is here. A much-needed summer break. You must be glad to

:24:42. > :24:49.be back at Assen could you know well? Yes, I know it well. But

:24:50. > :24:56.Colin has been here nine times more than me. It has been OK. Stupid

:24:56. > :25:06.crash in qualifying yesterday. My own fault. Tried to carry the break

:25:06. > :25:15.into the corner. One of those things. If we can get a good

:25:15. > :25:20.start... Maybe we can have a bit of a battle. Cal in 11th place. A few

:25:20. > :25:27.things to wrap up. One is the performance of Valentino Rossi. He

:25:27. > :25:35.is fifth on the grid. His best of the season. His mechanic was joking

:25:36. > :25:40.on Twitter that they had found a cardboard box in the corner of the

:25:40. > :25:50.garage with the missing piece of the did so. I am not sure it is

:25:50. > :25:52.

:25:52. > :25:55.that simple. Valentino making his last preparations. By Alex Jo Pay

:25:55. > :26:01.that you had fanned a cardboard box in the corner of the garage. I am

:26:01. > :26:11.sure it is more complicated? Yes. We had made improvements to the

:26:11. > :26:11.

:26:11. > :26:16.bike. It is good to be on the second row. We will see after the

:26:16. > :26:22.22 laps. Is there anything technically that you have brought

:26:22. > :26:32.back from the summer break? But of little things. -- lots of little

:26:32. > :26:33.

:26:33. > :26:39.things. There is the front row of the grid. Dani Pedrosa or aiming to

:26:39. > :26:43.win in all three classics. Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo

:26:43. > :26:48.the only other riders to do that. Lorenzo was last year's winner.

:26:48. > :26:58.Casey Stoner is top of the Championship. Chasing his 9th

:26:58. > :27:13.

:27:13. > :27:21.consecutive podium, his longest one. The times we have seen during

:27:21. > :27:26.practice have been pretty close. Stoner not happy with third place.

:27:26. > :27:34.It is two-tenths off. He was working hard to close that gap.

:27:34. > :27:44.Simoncelli, we need to talk a bit about him. He has gone a bit quiet.

:27:44. > :28:03.

:28:03. > :28:13.second row... He is not renowned for a fast start. We will see.

:28:13. > :28:22.

:28:22. > :28:27.There they hour. -- their they are. will be a great opportunity to see

:28:27. > :28:37.this astonishing track. It is unbelievable. The elevation changes,

:28:37. > :28:41.

:28:41. > :28:50.the duration of the track. These tyres will get a workout. That is

:28:50. > :28:55.the first turn. It is a long corner. Into the first chicane. That was

:28:55. > :29:04.where Lorenzo crashed a few years back. Hopefully he will not do that

:29:04. > :29:14.today. Lorenzo is going for a softer front tyre. The rest of the

:29:14. > :29:24.

:29:24. > :29:28.field has gone for the heart tyre. hit the -- downhill here. If he did

:29:28. > :29:38.not have conferred with the front end of the bike, it would be a

:29:38. > :29:41.

:29:41. > :29:48.nightmare. -- comfort. He it would be. We are riding with Colin

:29:48. > :29:58.Edwards. This is a downhill part. This is the lowest part of the

:29:58. > :30:12.

:30:12. > :30:17.circuit. It climbs about 250 ft chicane, 13 and 14. So many second

:30:17. > :30:26.gear corners on this circuit, they will be wearing them out. There are

:30:26. > :30:35.some pretty meaty clouds overhead. It will do two things - if it keeps

:30:35. > :30:39.the sauna in it will drop the track temperature. The track temperature

:30:39. > :30:44.is higher than we have seen all weekend. That is good news because

:30:44. > :30:49.the tyres will come up quicker in the early laps but they will be in

:30:49. > :30:54.unknown territory at the end when the tyres are really cooking.

:30:54. > :31:04.is important. We are just past the middle of the season, everything to

:31:04. > :31:08.play for. We are away! A good one from Dani Pedrosa, no surprise

:31:08. > :31:13.there. Ben Spies is not bad off the line as well. It looks like it will

:31:13. > :31:21.be Pedrosa, Spies hanging on to the outside, Lorenzo hanging on to the

:31:21. > :31:27.outside in front of him, and Stoner on the inside in front of him. Down

:31:27. > :31:35.the hill they go, Lorenzo goes past, Pedrosa first. Casey Stoner

:31:35. > :31:41.actually getting a bit of a hang out by his team-mate, Dovizioso.

:31:41. > :31:46.Lorenzo has the soft a front tyre. The world champion has taken the

:31:46. > :31:51.lead at turn three, that was confident from him. Now to be

:31:51. > :32:01.tricky pesky Number 10, it drops away here down the hill and these

:32:01. > :32:10.are the negative camber corners, which are very difficult. Lorenzo

:32:10. > :32:16.on his Yamaha is in front. Dovizioso not giving his team mate

:32:16. > :32:26.any room to move. At the moment, Casey Stoner the third of the three

:32:26. > :32:27.

:32:27. > :32:32.Hondas. It is Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Dovizioso, Stoner, Spies, then

:32:32. > :32:38.Nicky Hayden, that will do. tremendous start from him on a

:32:38. > :32:43.Ducati. You can see the white band on his front tyre, he has gone for

:32:43. > :32:49.the softer compound tyre. Cal Crutchlow in the middle of the mix

:32:49. > :32:59.in 13th place off the line. This is the 250 ft climb up to the final

:32:59. > :33:06.

:33:06. > :33:12.across the strike, indeed he did, past Nicky Hayden who will have to

:33:12. > :33:17.deal with the attentions of Valentino Rossi. Stoner has stuffed

:33:17. > :33:24.his team mate, as he should do. he was making sure the temperatures

:33:24. > :33:33.are all full study can't win the race in the first lap, but you can

:33:33. > :33:38.sure as hell lose it. I don't know about getting temperatures up for

:33:38. > :33:47.Casey Stoner, but his blood pressure will be up. These two

:33:47. > :33:57.team-mates are having a great old ding-dong. Valentino Rossi is the

:33:57. > :34:09.

:34:09. > :34:16.all weekend. He has been a class act, half a second faster than

:34:16. > :34:21.anyone else. I am sure he is letting it get up to temperatures.

:34:21. > :34:25.It is always different of course, racing is a different matter to

:34:25. > :34:30.qualifying, 23 litres of fuel they are carrying. Sometimes the fight

:34:30. > :34:40.will come back to you. Casey Stoner said the bike came back to it when

:34:40. > :34:41.

:34:41. > :34:47.the fuel load when down in Laguna. It is about the championship, Casey

:34:47. > :34:57.Stoner in third place with a 23 point advantage over the man who is

:34:57. > :35:10.

:35:10. > :35:17.leading. From this is a great deal this first turn now. The big three

:35:17. > :35:23.RN. How close do you like that?! He dropped a spot but that's nothing.

:35:23. > :35:29.That will knock his confidence. am talking third gear corner, about

:35:30. > :35:34.100 mph, and he lost the front end. He will now be waiting for that to

:35:34. > :35:41.do it again. That was really how he held that that that sort of pace,

:35:41. > :35:50.amazing. I don't believe it. And we have lost Dani Pedrosa,

:35:50. > :35:55.unbelievably. We were talking about bad luck. He needs that like a

:35:55. > :36:04.third armpit. He has had such trouble this year. Here is the

:36:04. > :36:08.right hander. The front end washed out at turn four. Unfortunately his

:36:08. > :36:12.legs are not quite long enough to show of the bike back up again but

:36:12. > :36:19.it just washed out. Casey Stoner was lucky not to get taken out with

:36:19. > :36:29.that as well. The smoke comes down and it is one of the corners that

:36:29. > :36:37.

:36:37. > :36:42.rarely drops away. -- really drops away. Simoncelli is in the thick of

:36:42. > :36:50.this and his body language says he wants to play. Dani Pedrosa has

:36:50. > :37:00.crashed already, now all I can really let myself go.

:37:00. > :37:04.

:37:04. > :37:09.Dare I say it, he will let his hair down and really go for it.

:37:09. > :37:14.Simoncelli was almost the fastest man on the track last time and you

:37:14. > :37:23.are riding with him - good luck. will be a wild ride from the number

:37:23. > :37:28.58. He has had two pole position has, he was for the 250 world

:37:28. > :37:34.champion in 2008, and he is very fast. I am he doesn't wear his bike

:37:34. > :37:39.out because he doesn't have any laps. Casey Stoner meantime, if he

:37:39. > :37:47.finishes in this order, he will bank an extra five points in his

:37:47. > :37:54.lead against Jorge Lorenzo. With respect to Dovizioso, it is really

:37:54. > :37:58.just about Lorenzo and Stoner. That is the shooting match. Honda will

:37:58. > :38:04.look after him but I don't think he will be in the factory team next

:38:04. > :38:11.year. He had a reasonably good season last year and had a two year

:38:11. > :38:15.contract, was in the right place at the right time and got resigned. In

:38:15. > :38:20.fairness to Casey Stoner, he would have preferred Dani Pedrosa been

:38:20. > :38:26.right behind him. He would like another bike in between him and

:38:26. > :38:31.Jorge Lorenzo, but the way Dovizioso is going, who knows?

:38:32. > :38:38.Remember, he has the soft a front tyre and we saw him lose his front

:38:38. > :38:46.end at turn one. It is a gamble but no one really knows what will work

:38:46. > :38:55.because we haven't had these track temperatures this weekend before.

:38:55. > :39:00.Casey Stoner needs to get his head down now. Dani Pedrosa has been the

:39:00. > :39:05.man to beat all weekend, sadly he has beaten himself. Dani Pedrosa is

:39:05. > :39:15.down, but it is Casey Stoner leading now. Ben Spies has are a

:39:15. > :39:23.

:39:23. > :39:29.Dovizioso. This would keep Honda have become a wouldn't it? On the

:39:29. > :39:36.inside of Jorge Lorenzo. His clear through so it is nice work on

:39:36. > :39:43.Dovizioso. If he finishes like this, it is yet a done the three points -

:39:43. > :39:53.- another three points. Then the organ is thinking I have chosen the

:39:53. > :39:53.

:39:53. > :39:58.wrong tyre, that normally would not happen. The front tyre was a gamble.

:39:58. > :40:04.An odd thing to do. It is, because everybody else chose a harder

:40:04. > :40:07.compound. It was a strange thing to do but he had his reasons, they

:40:07. > :40:13.know what they are up to in that team but clearly it does not seem

:40:13. > :40:19.to be paying dividends at the moment. It paid dividends for about

:40:19. > :40:24.one lap, then it got loose. Simoncelli is stalking. All arms

:40:24. > :40:31.and legs, it looks like they should give him a bigger motorbike. But he

:40:31. > :40:37.has pace. He is on the same times as Casey Stoner. Look at the crowd.

:40:37. > :40:47.A lot here to cheer on Karel Abraham, who has got round Randy de

:40:47. > :40:51.

:40:51. > :40:58.Puniet. On board with Lorenzo, is he losing time on the corners? If

:40:58. > :41:05.his bike has not got a grip, that is where he will be losing time.

:41:05. > :41:13.What a result it would be for this guy for start 0 no, Karel Abraham,

:41:13. > :41:20.he is the home town hopeless this weekend. A lovely bloke, this has

:41:20. > :41:25.probably been his worst round all year. Haven't we seen that before

:41:25. > :41:30.with James Toseland, Cal Crutchlow... But who else did Matt

:41:30. > :41:39.interview? He interviewed Dani Pedrosa, he is down, did the

:41:39. > :41:44.interview anyone else? I would just sit carefully on your chair. I

:41:44. > :41:54.think Jorge Lorenzo is feeling the effects of the softer front tyre.

:41:54. > :42:08.

:42:08. > :42:14.Lap record is held by Jorge Lorenzo here in 2009, 1: 56.57. Albeit that

:42:14. > :42:19.Dovizioso is third in the championship, but 40 points back.

:42:19. > :42:24.He will not trouble the scorers for the end-of-year championship.

:42:24. > :42:30.doubt it. You never really know, a lot of things can go wrong in

:42:31. > :42:34.motorcycle racing so nothing is done until the final championship.

:42:34. > :42:43.There is an awful lot left - Indianapolis in two weeks' time,

:42:44. > :42:52.then Japan, Australia, Malaysia. is really inconvenient the Malaysia

:42:52. > :42:57.round. You want to stay in Australia. I do. I wanted to talk

:42:57. > :43:06.about John Hopkins - boy, I wish he was here and I am sure he does.

:43:06. > :43:10.Look at that pace on a Suzuki. would have been a great fight

:43:10. > :43:18.between those two. Similar times in the practice sessions so he would

:43:18. > :43:26.have been there or thereabouts. Cal Crutchlow has just moved in front

:43:26. > :43:31.of our breath. He has more speed than the qualifying indicated.

:43:31. > :43:40.did I say? We are going to stop talking about people, interviewing

:43:40. > :43:47.people. My goodness me. He was on the move, starting to pick up pace.

:43:47. > :43:50.That is very like the Lorenzo moment, which he luckily saved.

:43:50. > :43:57.is a third gear corner, down and out but he was up thankfully from

:43:57. > :44:05.that. He just went past the commentary booth and that happened,

:44:05. > :44:09.so what can you say? Karel Abraham knees to pick himself up, dust

:44:09. > :44:16.himself down, lower his sights just a fraction. Because he made such a

:44:16. > :44:23.good start. The score sheet shows he is 15th in the championship and

:44:23. > :44:29.that is not his standard. There is no points for qualifying, just for

:44:29. > :44:33.the final two laps. This man is doing a good job of it. He has

:44:33. > :44:38.finished every race he started the season, apart from the one he got

:44:38. > :44:43.knocked off on him round two. It was the Doctor who took him out in

:44:43. > :44:53.the waiting room. He had a quick house call and that was the end of

:44:53. > :44:55.

:44:55. > :44:59.it. Casey Stoner has won more races than anyone else. He won last time

:44:59. > :45:07.out in the USA and is staring down the barrel of a win in the Czech

:45:07. > :45:11.Republic. That his five wins so things looking good for them at the

:45:11. > :45:16.moment. They are desperately keen to win this championship this year.

:45:16. > :45:21.Everyone thought the Hondas would wipe the floor, they started

:45:21. > :45:31.building their bikes earlier than anyone else but it didn't happen

:45:31. > :45:53.

:45:53. > :45:59.saying to Lorenzo, you can do this the easy way or the hardware. --

:45:59. > :46:09.are hard way. The Armagh has been with the sweetest looking bike on

:46:09. > :46:09.

:46:09. > :46:14.the track all weekend. -- Yamaha. When you change your retire racier,

:46:14. > :46:24.you often have to change your racing style. -- Europe Tyrer

:46:24. > :46:46.

:46:46. > :46:56.the fastest lap we have seen. a belly full of fuel that is not

:46:56. > :47:01.

:47:01. > :47:10.bad. Yamaha versus combat. -- Honda. Dovizioso tried to pull it back. He

:47:10. > :47:14.could not do it. Maybe Jorge Lorenzo is just trying to rebuild

:47:14. > :47:24.his confidence. That would have been asking her to him early in the

:47:24. > :47:28.

:47:28. > :47:38.race. -- a real scare. Valentino Rossi starting to close down Ben

:47:38. > :47:52.

:47:52. > :47:58.Spies. Spies is carrying an injury. This is all playing into the hands

:47:58. > :48:08.of the man leading the race. The other three tripping themselves

:48:08. > :48:09.

:48:09. > :48:15.over a little bit. Right in with Simoncelli. -- riding. There is

:48:15. > :48:22.quite a bit of potential for a passing. But if you get it wrong...

:48:22. > :48:26.The most critical point is getting a good ride out of the corner. The

:48:26. > :48:36.difference in losing the front end and not losing is literally two

:48:36. > :48:38.

:48:38. > :48:44.kilometres per hour. You are teetering on the point. These guys

:48:44. > :48:51.are the best in the work. If somebody falls off, it means they

:48:51. > :48:59.have just got it wrong by two kilometres. If you do have to it,

:48:59. > :49:04.you get past. Although this is such a long track, it has got such a

:49:04. > :49:14.short pit straight. It is hard to get a big drag. You have got to

:49:14. > :49:15.

:49:15. > :49:25.work your way. This provides some remarkably close races. The longest

:49:25. > :49:48.

:49:48. > :49:53.nearly was won by a Jorge Lorenzo... If Dovizioso gets through,

:49:53. > :49:59.Simoncelli will be right behind him. Marco is having bad thoughts will

:49:59. > :50:05.stop he wants to work his way past these guys. It is so important for

:50:05. > :50:11.Simoncelli. Such an incredible talent. So brave, so tough. He has

:50:11. > :50:18.had his head down in the last couple of races. Jorge Lorenzo said

:50:18. > :50:27.the only thing in his helmet was his hair. I think it was Dani

:50:27. > :50:35.Pedrosa who said that. That was a massive mistake. Too tight on the

:50:35. > :50:43.entry to the corner. That was a case of getting in there, the bike

:50:43. > :50:53.turning to early. Turner one has not going to be Jorge Lorenzo's

:50:53. > :50:54.

:50:54. > :51:01.favoured corner. -- the first turn. Casey Stoner is lapping four-tenths

:51:01. > :51:09.a lap faster at the moment. He announced at the weekend that he is

:51:09. > :51:19.going to be having a child Shawky. He should keep his ear plugs Andy!

:51:19. > :51:24.

:51:24. > :51:34.of his skin. -- Bautista. He is having a very good run. No doubt

:51:34. > :51:39.

:51:39. > :51:46.that Ducati have made a leap forward. Valentino's last lap time

:51:46. > :51:56.have a second behind Casey Stoner. These guys are holding each other

:51:56. > :51:56.

:51:56. > :52:06.up Ablett. -- a little bit. looks to me like it is Lorenzo who

:52:06. > :52:06.

:52:06. > :52:16.is holding the others. He is riding like Dani Pedrosa right. Not the

:52:16. > :52:19.

:52:19. > :52:29.way you normally expect him to do it. This is more like the 1000 CD.

:52:29. > :52:30.

:52:30. > :52:33.-- 1000 cc. Lorenzo has now reverted back to block writing. 20

:52:33. > :52:41.points for second place could easily beat all the way back to

:52:41. > :52:51.fourth. Afridi crucial seven points. He is really riding to stay in

:52:51. > :52:55.

:52:55. > :53:00.touch in this Championship. Lorenzo, Dovizioso, Simoncelli... Nicky

:53:00. > :53:10.Hayden is further away. Bailey armour is inside the top 10. --

:53:10. > :53:13.

:53:13. > :53:19.Aoyama. He made that look quite easy. That starts to improve

:53:19. > :53:24.Valentino Rossi's opportunity of getting these guys. If this keeps

:53:24. > :53:29.swapping and swapping back again, and Rossi might be in touch.

:53:29. > :53:39.Dovizioso will be having another little loch in a moment. Lorenzo

:53:39. > :53:41.

:53:41. > :53:50.has got all sorts of issues. I just wonder if it is that front tyre?

:53:51. > :53:57.was Lorenzo's mistake, not Simoncelli's move. It was almost

:53:57. > :54:02.certainly Lorenzo's decision to take that. It was a wild gamble.

:54:02. > :54:12.was a huge role of the dice. This will be a little carrot for Ben

:54:12. > :54:29.

:54:29. > :54:39.podium? He has not had a podium. He has been close. He has ended on the

:54:39. > :54:39.

:54:40. > :54:49.gravel track. He has also been closely jail! -- close to jail! He

:54:49. > :54:58.has just got to get himself under control. He is due a podium. This

:54:58. > :55:08.is great for Bautista, battling away with Valentino Rossi. Rossi's

:55:08. > :55:08.

:55:09. > :55:14.last lap 58.2. Dovizioso, 58. Whatever Ducati have done, it is

:55:14. > :55:23.starting to work on the racecourse. I think they are going in the right

:55:23. > :55:33.direction. The good thing is they nowhere they're heading. -- then

:55:33. > :55:48.

:55:48. > :55:57.is too rigid. It is not flexible. think we may see a change in

:55:57. > :56:07.chassis before the end of the season. Honda will be bringing

:56:07. > :56:11.

:56:11. > :56:17.their 2012 bike out tomorrow. As far as Suzuki is concerned, we are

:56:17. > :56:21.waiting to hear what their plans are. We hope for an improved

:56:21. > :56:28.performance from the Suzuki. Casey Stoner looking forward to riding

:56:28. > :56:34.the 1000 again. I would say he would like to ride the bike he is

:56:34. > :56:38.riding at the moment. He will be happy for everything to stay as it

:56:38. > :56:48.is for the next five years. The potential move between the two

:56:48. > :56:58.Italians. Dovizioso and Simoncelli. There is too much Marco to go

:56:58. > :57:00.

:57:00. > :57:05.around. It does not get harry macro closer than that. -- any Klosir.

:57:05. > :57:15.His elbows are close to the ground when he is standing up. He is a

:57:15. > :57:19.

:57:19. > :57:25.very gangly lad. Legs Eleven. Simoncelli looking very good. He is

:57:25. > :57:31.almost getting backed up by a Dovizioso. He has got to pick his

:57:31. > :57:36.moment and make it clean. He is through Lorenzo. He will not catch

:57:36. > :57:45.Casey Stoner. This is the potential for a Marco Simoncelli. He is

:57:45. > :57:55.having a nightmare. The bike has clearly had enough. That is

:57:55. > :57:57.

:57:57. > :58:07.possibly coming from the engine. The oil had probably got away from

:58:07. > :58:08.

:58:08. > :58:16.the oil pickle. Simoncelli runs too deep and wide. His Simoncelli going

:58:16. > :58:21.to say to himself, a podium is a podium? I suspect he will go for

:58:21. > :58:31.second place. I do not think Rhys and is high on Islamist. He has got

:58:31. > :59:03.

:59:04. > :59:08.lots of talent and enthusiasm. -- him. There is the gap. Casey Stoner

:59:08. > :59:17.has been royally aided by the battle between Simoncelli and the

:59:17. > :59:25.Visio so. -- Devitt CEOs so. There is lots of talk that Dovizioso will

:59:25. > :59:34.be sent to a satellite team. He is fighting again -- against that. He

:59:34. > :59:38.is being stalked by Simoncelli. Another man being stock is the

:59:38. > :59:46.world champion. Casey Stoner has a lead of nearly seven seconds. Look

:59:46. > :59:55.at that. The way he dances around on that motorcycle. Everybody

:59:55. > :00:05.looking in admiration. Casey Stoner, the tyres looking good. Eight laps

:00:05. > :00:14.

:00:14. > :00:20.Casey Stoner. I will be fascinated to hear if we can find anything out

:00:20. > :00:24.what the theory was behind Lorenzo going for a soft front tyre. There

:00:24. > :00:29.was not just a gamble for this race, he was in touch with the

:00:29. > :00:36.championship leader. Casey Stoner will now put a monster gap between

:00:36. > :00:46.himself and Lorenzo. It will be more than one race win's worth. It

:00:46. > :00:56.is not over yet because the guys behind him are closing down.

:00:56. > :00:56.

:00:56. > :01:02.This is when Lorenzo's tyre was at its very best. Often if you have

:01:02. > :01:10.more grip, you have the confidence. In your head, the other guys will

:01:10. > :01:14.be taking more time to warm up their tyres. Again, he used that

:01:14. > :01:21.confidence around the outside, dived up the inside, taking the

:01:21. > :01:31.lead early on but it didn't work. For and neither did it work for

:01:31. > :01:48.

:01:48. > :01:54.poor Roald Dani Pedrosa, who Indianapolis just as fast and just

:01:54. > :02:00.as smooth. Fortunately he didn't seem injured. It does look as

:02:00. > :02:04.though with seven laps going at this stage that Simoncelli has

:02:04. > :02:10.decided prudence is best and he has backed off a bit from Dovizioso.

:02:10. > :02:14.Bautista has not backed off from the Doctor, he really wants it.

:02:14. > :02:21.This is the first time we have seen them smiling in the garage all year,

:02:21. > :02:31.I reckon. They don't know what that cardboard box was or what it had in

:02:31. > :02:33.

:02:33. > :02:40.it but it worked. The Doctor is in the house. I don't believe it. Both

:02:40. > :02:45.Mr crashed last year, didn't he? On the final lap. The engine is still

:02:45. > :02:50.running, so get it picked up. not in a hurry to get back on the

:02:51. > :02:57.bike. We talked about trailing the front brakes into the corner.

:02:57. > :03:00.didn't want to let Valentino Rossi disappear, it is such a shame. The

:03:00. > :03:07.front end just folded out and he would be trailing the break into

:03:07. > :03:13.the corner. He knows. Bid was a classic example of how close it was.

:03:13. > :03:18.There was nothing in that. When you are following someone, you think

:03:18. > :03:23.why did that do it to me? But every bike has different settings and

:03:23. > :03:31.everything else. Disappointment as he picks his bike up and goes back

:03:31. > :03:35.in. If I was out there I would go back out. Meanwhile, this gap is

:03:35. > :03:45.nearly eight seconds. Casey Stoner is having a beautiful smooth ride

:03:45. > :03:51.

:03:51. > :03:55.here. Six laps remaining. The from three are all Hondas. Ben Spies is

:03:55. > :04:01.only half a second behind Jorge Lorenzo, who has led this race at a

:04:01. > :04:06.time. What was going on with that tyre choice? I just asked his team

:04:06. > :04:10.manager why they went with that and he said because it was better, so I

:04:10. > :04:17.gather he had a better feeling with it. They thought with the track

:04:17. > :04:21.temperature the way it was today may did that, but he did admit they

:04:21. > :04:28.need to start reconsidering now. They don't think this is just a

:04:28. > :04:36.tyre issue. It is not effective. it seemed strange he was the only

:04:36. > :04:42.person to do it. Normally if it is borderline a softer or hard at tyre,

:04:42. > :04:50.others go for it. The only other person who chose the softer

:04:50. > :04:55.compound was... Have a guess. Bautista, who'd just fell off.

:04:55. > :05:01.saw Lorenzo struggling from the second lap. Ben Spies is closing

:05:01. > :05:08.him down and carrying injuries. Simoncelli, on bike number 58 with

:05:08. > :05:15.the fantastic red and white, easy to identify helmet. Do you reckon

:05:15. > :05:19.he will have another go, or will he settle for third? The looking at

:05:19. > :05:23.the way he is going at the moment and Dovizioso is going at the

:05:23. > :05:29.moment, maybe we'll settle for third place. He is desperate for

:05:29. > :05:35.podium, he does not want to do anything silly. I am more worried

:05:35. > :05:38.about what Ben Spies is thinking about - do I dare pass Jorge

:05:38. > :05:45.Lorenzo? That will be the quandary going through his mind at the

:05:45. > :05:51.moment. He is in the same position Dovizioso would be in if he was up

:05:51. > :05:57.the exhaust pipe of Casey Stoner. Realistically Jorge Lorenzo could,

:05:57. > :06:04.in theory, lose five points here if Ben Spies gets past him, which

:06:04. > :06:09.could be crucial at the end of the championship. One man nothing here

:06:09. > :06:13.about anything is the Doctor there, Valentino Rossi. He is having a

:06:13. > :06:18.nightmare season but he is one of the few riders out there who has

:06:18. > :06:23.scored points in every round. They have been small points but he got

:06:23. > :06:27.them anyway. He sits 5th in the championship and after this he will

:06:27. > :06:33.leap Frog Dani Pedrosa back up to fourth in the championship. The

:06:33. > :06:39.statistics look better than the raising he has had. A couple of

:06:39. > :06:45.Americans battling it out, never discount Colin Edwards. You would

:06:45. > :06:55.be hard place to fill his shoes with anyone better or faster.

:06:55. > :06:56.

:06:57. > :07:06.great each-way bet. If he went into Superbikes, I bet he would win it.

:07:07. > :07:18.

:07:18. > :07:28.I Hiroshi I has had a challenging raised false start -- challenging

:07:28. > :07:37.

:07:37. > :07:41.at what Valentino Rossi is doing. Everyone who signed for Ducatis

:07:41. > :07:46.teams this year were hoping the bikes would be sorted out. It has

:07:46. > :07:52.taken longer than they thought. Let's have a look at the Ducatis

:07:52. > :08:02.roll of honour. Rossi is in sixth, Hayden in seventh, Barbera intent.

:08:02. > :08:11.

:08:11. > :08:16.De Puniet in Twelfth, and Capirossi in the 13th. 220 brake horsepower.

:08:16. > :08:21.I just love watching the movement and how he dances around on the

:08:21. > :08:26.motorcycle. Slamming it down into the ground. The front tyre still

:08:26. > :08:30.looking pretty good, everything looking pretty good. They are all

:08:30. > :08:39.thinking it is looking pretty good but anything can happen. Cloud

:08:39. > :08:45.cover is heavier, keeping the track cool. Man, what did I just say it?!

:08:45. > :08:50.He will clearly no, nearly eight seconds in front, you can afford to

:08:50. > :09:00.back off a little bit. We have all made silly mistakes sometimes when

:09:00. > :09:07.you are not really focused. Have a look at this. That was turn one

:09:07. > :09:15.again, a pretty fast corner. There is the external view. Inside of the

:09:15. > :09:19.kerb. What happens when you are going into the corner, if the back

:09:19. > :09:28.end of the bike comes round it points you to the inside of the

:09:28. > :09:37.corner and it can catch you out a little bit, which it did just learn.

:09:37. > :09:47.-- just then. Casey Stoner can keep his focus. As you were saying,

:09:47. > :09:53.

:09:53. > :09:57.nearly eight seconds ahead of of is 11 seconds back from the winner,

:09:58. > :10:03.but only five seconds back on Dovizioso, so five seconds of

:10:03. > :10:07.second place in the race at the moment. Last time out we saw.

:10:07. > :10:12.Forget where he finished on the track, 30 seconds down the road

:10:12. > :10:16.almost, so this is a massive improvement. You couldn't keep

:10:16. > :10:22.success away from JB and the rest of those guys forever, they will be

:10:22. > :10:26.chipping away. No matter where Valentino Rossi finishes this year,

:10:26. > :10:32.he and his team will leave that Ducati a better bike than they

:10:32. > :10:37.found. That is a nice sign for Simoncelli, still on board in third

:10:37. > :10:41.place and still looking all right. As far as the Ducati team are

:10:41. > :10:45.concerned, that is not just about winning for the sponsors but it is

:10:45. > :10:55.about making a motorcycle other people want to get on to. Until

:10:55. > :11:00.recently would be worried. I know which bike I would choose.

:11:00. > :11:05.Ducatis have had some very clever riders, like Melandri who nearly

:11:05. > :11:10.killed his career. Casey Stoner is the only one with whom it has

:11:10. > :11:15.clicked. He is the only one who has harnessed it. He came third here

:11:15. > :11:19.last year, qualified for and came third, and he was winning races on

:11:19. > :11:25.a Ducati at the end of last year, the same Ducatis Valentino Rossi

:11:25. > :11:35.jumped on in the practice after the last race in Valencia and came

:11:35. > :11:36.

:11:36. > :11:44.almost last on. It is horses for courses, I guess. When you get to

:11:44. > :11:50.this stage, I am sure he will be able to cling in there, but Ben

:11:50. > :11:53.Spies is now running into position. The gap between Simoncelli and

:11:53. > :12:00.Lorenzo is reasonably comfortable and Lorenzo would be a big man to

:12:00. > :12:04.try to muscle his way back past Lorenzo. A good ride from Dovizioso,

:12:04. > :12:10.albeit eight seconds back from his team-mate. Nevertheless, in front

:12:10. > :12:15.of the current world champion, Jorge Lorenzo. Look at the focus.

:12:15. > :12:19.He grabs a bitter throttle and it is just about backing it off,

:12:20. > :12:26.tapping it back on again, trying to get the power down as quick as you

:12:26. > :12:30.can. The last lap now for Casey Stoner, he can ride hands and heels

:12:30. > :12:34.to home from here, it should be nice and easy. Simoncelli is

:12:34. > :12:42.staring down the barrel of his first podium, and I reckon it could

:12:42. > :12:47.be the making of him. I agree. A very mature ride we have seen from

:12:47. > :12:52.what a lot of people have said is a very immature man, but getting the

:12:52. > :13:02.monkey off his back and on to the podium will be great for him.

:13:02. > :13:03.

:13:03. > :13:09.Simoncelli did not finish in Portugal, in Great Britain, in the

:13:09. > :13:17.United States. He needs to finish here. He needs to finish here and a

:13:17. > :13:21.podium would be good. He has had the pace, had pole positions, he is

:13:21. > :13:28.always at the top of the time sheets and his race results did not

:13:28. > :13:34.reflect his speed. This will be Casey Stoner's 29th MotoGP win.

:13:34. > :13:40.Honda will be pleased they signed him. He said he always wanted to

:13:40. > :13:44.replicate his hero. It was much more a case of Ducatis losing him

:13:44. > :13:49.than Honda stealing him. Yes, he was not impressed with the way,

:13:49. > :13:55.when he was ill, he didn't feel they were supporting him enough and

:13:55. > :14:02.he started looking round. Honda took him along, they knew his

:14:02. > :14:09.talent because he previously worked for Ducati and now look at how fast

:14:09. > :14:14.hears. Dovizioso, faster than this guy on its last lap of course

:14:14. > :14:22.because he has Button it down, but Casey Stoner has done the job in

:14:22. > :14:28.the Czech Republic. You bet he has! Casey Stoner wins in Brno.

:14:28. > :14:32.Dovizioso in second, and Marco Simoncelli is on the podium.

:14:32. > :14:42.will dwarf everyone else on the podium. Valentino Rossi will be

:14:42. > :14:51.very pleased, 12 seconds back, the closest he has been. Marco

:14:51. > :15:01.Simoncelli's handlers will be in the pit lane to put him back in his

:15:01. > :15:10.

:15:10. > :15:14.years ago. Doesn't time fly? There is a man who will have a nice

:15:14. > :15:23.weekend off next weekend before going to Indianapolis. The

:15:23. > :15:29.Championship is looking even better for him. Stoner gets 25 points. 13

:15:29. > :15:39.to Lorenzo. And Steve Parrish will be up all night every night working

:15:39. > :15:41.

:15:41. > :15:46.on those graphics! A huge sigh of relief for her Stoner. The barriers

:15:47. > :15:51.at huge step change. Psychologically. -- that is a huge

:15:51. > :16:01.step change. Yes. If you make as big a mistake with a lead like that,

:16:01. > :16:03.

:16:03. > :16:11.it is not as big a penalty. would rather nobody else on the

:16:11. > :16:21.grid had a motorbike what you! Last stop and think. Valentino Rossi

:16:21. > :16:23.

:16:23. > :16:33.finishing 6th. 12 seconds adrift. The best he has done all year.

:16:33. > :16:36.

:16:36. > :16:41.18 second step change is a monster. Absolutely. Valentino Rossi has

:16:41. > :16:51.leapfrogged Dani Pedrosa. He is now in fourth place. Marco Simoncelli

:16:51. > :16:52.

:16:52. > :16:58.has moved up two places to eighth. Casey Stoner sits on a 218 points.

:16:58. > :17:08.The rain so, 186. They will be an interesting debrief in the Yamaha

:17:08. > :17:10.

:17:10. > :17:20.or garage. -- there will be. Simoncelli, Aliadiere! --

:17:20. > :17:26.

:17:27. > :17:35.think twice about his strategy. It can go exactly the other way next

:17:35. > :17:40.time around. Colin Edwards finishing 8th. He just keeps on

:17:40. > :17:48.keeping on. He is 9th in the Championship. Just behind

:17:48. > :17:56.Simoncelli. What do you make of it? What was Lorenzo on about?

:17:56. > :18:00.clearly choose the tyre that he thought was the right one. I

:18:00. > :18:07.suspect it have to do with the track temperature are increasing.

:18:07. > :18:15.It caught him out. He and Bautista were the only two who went for the

:18:15. > :18:22.soft tyre. Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi having a chat.

:18:22. > :18:32.Spare a thought for about Easter who was chasing Rossi Harrad until

:18:32. > :18:49.

:18:49. > :18:55.An interested spectator. What did you make of it? It was a

:18:55. > :19:00.disappointment to not be out there. The potential of the bike is really

:19:00. > :19:04.good. It was a disappointment to see Alvaro Bautista a fall out of

:19:04. > :19:10.where he was that. More solar disappointment that I was not there.

:19:10. > :19:20.I cannot believe I was not racing because of broken fingers. It is

:19:20. > :19:20.

:19:21. > :19:30.only a minor setback. Right now, the main priority is getting fixed

:19:30. > :19:36.and getting back on the bike in British Superbike. It must a giving

:19:36. > :19:44.you a boost to see Alvaro Bautista's performance. Yes,

:19:44. > :19:49.definitely. Suzuki has the potential to be in the top six

:19:49. > :19:55.pretty consistently. To see him crash out was a big shame. Right

:19:55. > :20:03.now is a crucial time for the manufacturers of Suzuki. The bike

:20:03. > :20:08.should be out there. They should be continuing the development for 2012.

:20:08. > :20:18.It is a shame. But I think the potential was shown by Suzuki this

:20:18. > :20:27.

:20:27. > :20:30.weekend for sure. The winner, Casey Congratulations. Another weekend.

:20:30. > :20:37.Yes, to come back from two weekends, we are not looking too strong.

:20:37. > :20:47.Things were looking tough. As soon as the race got under way, and had

:20:47. > :20:50.

:20:50. > :20:56.a battle with andrecht -- I had a battle with Andrea Dovizioso. I got

:20:56. > :21:03.past Jorge Lorenzo. I tried to cut as many laps as I could down quite

:21:03. > :21:13.fast. We pulled something nicely very quickly. After such a hard

:21:13. > :21:15.

:21:15. > :21:21.weekend, this was probably more Back-to-back wins for Casey Stoner.

:21:21. > :21:27.He extends his lead at the top of the Championship. We were surprised

:21:27. > :21:33.at the pace he put out there? definitely. He made it happen in a

:21:33. > :21:38.Laguna Seca and he made it happen here. You can never count him out.

:21:38. > :21:44.Him and that bike is a really good match. I just could not believe

:21:44. > :21:47.that Dani Pedrosa did not pull it off. I didn't expect him to crash

:21:47. > :21:57.like that. When he gets into the lead, that is when he gets more

:21:57. > :22:00.

:22:00. > :22:07.confident. Do you think the tyre choice was Jorge Lorenzo's problem?

:22:07. > :22:12.Yes, I think so. I tried the harder tyre on Friday. I was losing the

:22:12. > :22:22.front. In these conditions I would have gambled for the harbour front

:22:22. > :22:24.

:22:24. > :22:34.tyre. -- harder. I would have done with the hard one. Dani Pedrosa did

:22:34. > :22:35.

:22:35. > :22:41.go with it. We will try to find out about his choice later. The biggest

:22:41. > :22:48.smile as got to belong to Marco Simoncelli. It has been a long time

:22:48. > :22:55.coming. Finally you first MotoGP podium? Yes, I wait for a long time

:22:55. > :23:04.this result. I am really happy. I want to say thanks to my team and

:23:04. > :23:13.to Honda. We had a lot of difficult moments. We never stopped to

:23:13. > :23:19.believe that I could do it. I am happy. In the last lap, nothing

:23:19. > :23:29.happened. Everything remained in that condition. I am very happy.

:23:29. > :23:34.

:23:34. > :23:44.The biggest smile in Brno. What a character. Definitely. He has

:23:44. > :23:45.

:23:45. > :23:51.definitely come into his own this year. He has had a few struggles.

:23:51. > :23:59.He has definitely proved he does errors a bike at the front. -- he

:23:59. > :24:04.deserves. He writes the bike extremely well. It is harder for

:24:04. > :24:09.him to ride that bike and it is for Dani Pedrosa or or Casey Stoner.

:24:09. > :24:16.The Honda is one of the smaller bikes on the grid. For him to be

:24:16. > :24:23.sitting on it and riding it so well, is awesome. I think he would get a

:24:23. > :24:33.little more speed Iffy cut the hair! One guy who fix on on the

:24:33. > :24:39.perfectly is the Dani Pedrosa or. - - fix on at that bike perfectly.

:24:39. > :24:43.is one of those things. You just gamble on it. It is unfortunate. I

:24:43. > :24:49.would say he deserved the win with the way he has been riding all

:24:49. > :24:54.weekend. At the end of the day it his the first one who gets the

:24:54. > :25:02.chequered flag. Casey is the one with the consistency right now. He

:25:02. > :25:08.is doing the job. He is trying to get that a Championship. When it

:25:08. > :25:12.comes to consistency, he might not be showing Championship pace, but

:25:12. > :25:19.Andrea Dovizioso is certainly consistent. Congratulations on

:25:19. > :25:29.another solid podium? Yes. We started in seventh. We worked

:25:29. > :25:33.really hard. Friday and Saturday. We are having the race very

:25:34. > :25:40.competent. I made a really good start. I want to say thank you to

:25:40. > :25:45.the team. We are struggling a lot on Friday and Saturday but we

:25:45. > :25:50.worked really hard. I tried to manage Simoncelli in the last few

:25:51. > :26:00.laps. I tried to push him on. He could not stay with me. Really

:26:01. > :26:06.

:26:06. > :26:15.That is crucial. He cuts the gap to Jorge Lorenzo having managed to

:26:15. > :26:24.manage Simoncelli! Can you imagine the sight of that bear down I knew?

:26:24. > :26:33.I am sure he would be cooler with his hair cut. Can he win a world

:26:33. > :26:38.title? I think he can. I am sure you will be a champion of the

:26:38. > :26:42.future. He is still a young kid. He has got the speed. He has to calm

:26:43. > :26:52.things down. Cannae get a win before the end of the season? Se

:26:53. > :26:57.

:26:57. > :27:06.can. -- can he. He may come right at the end. The problem he has got

:27:06. > :27:16.is that he has got to get past the other Honda bikes. He has got to

:27:16. > :27:16.

:27:16. > :27:26.play the politics very well, Marco. It is a strange podium here. It is

:27:26. > :27:34.a strange circuit. Great natural amphitheatres. A few rickety stands.

:27:34. > :27:39.I stood on that podium myself and managed to shake Shum -- spray some

:27:39. > :27:46.champagne on second spot. On Friday I ended up going six-tenths quicker

:27:46. > :27:51.than I did in 2007 on my fastest lap. The first podium for Marco,

:27:51. > :27:57.the first of many? Definitely. He has proved the talent he has. He

:27:57. > :28:02.has got some speed. He will be at the front quite consistently.

:28:02. > :28:11.we see you again before the end of the Year? I certainly hope so.

:28:11. > :28:19.British Superbike has got my main focus. Charlie says he hopes it

:28:19. > :28:28.sold two. Find you for being here. -- thank you. The riders on the
