:01:15. > :01:21.Mugello. Up until last year of the talismanic circuit for Valentino

:01:21. > :01:31.Rossi. But now there's a new hero in town. He may win over the fans

:01:31. > :01:36.

:01:36. > :01:46.but he's not making friends on the track.

:01:46. > :01:47.

:01:47. > :01:57.This is unbelievable! Fortunately he does not appear to be hurt.

:01:57. > :01:58.

:01:58. > :02:07.the future if that happens it will be a problem. Lawrence Hill is down.

:02:07. > :02:17.I hope he will meant the lesson in the future. Mainly I am sorry. I am

:02:17. > :02:20.

:02:20. > :02:29.sorry. Yesterday he was laughing if someone would arrest him but maybe

:02:29. > :02:34.he needs that. Dani Pedrosa is back after seven

:02:34. > :02:41.weeks out and two operations. But not in the mood to forgive and

:02:41. > :02:50.forget despite that repeated apologies from Marco Simoncelli for

:02:50. > :02:57.that crash that left him with a broken collarbone. I am joined by a

:02:57. > :03:04.MotoGP BT van Mark Webber. What you make of all these a handbags in

:03:04. > :03:08.MotoGP at the moment? I lost touch a bit in the last few weeks but

:03:08. > :03:12.obviously Simoncelli has been involved in a few incidents here

:03:12. > :03:20.and there, some a little bit over the edge. But the riders will sort

:03:20. > :03:30.it out on track. They always do. So I'm looking forward to the race

:03:30. > :03:31.

:03:31. > :03:40.today. This is a very physical clap. The Yamaha looks quick. What to

:03:40. > :03:47.make of this event at? This is a special one? It is phenomenal. This

:03:47. > :03:54.is motor racing at its best. You see the passion, you have got the

:03:54. > :04:00.hills and the background. I think we need a Formula 1 race here! It

:04:00. > :04:05.has got more atmosphere than most of our places. It is a sensational

:04:05. > :04:10.track. Beautiful for the riders and drivers. Have you asked Casey

:04:10. > :04:16.Stoner if you can have a go on this? It is probably a bit short

:04:16. > :04:22.for me but one day I would love to do some laps. It would be so alien

:04:23. > :04:31.from what I am used to. But respect for the guys. Balancing the bike

:04:31. > :04:38.right on the edge. They're all just phenomenal. I hope they have a good

:04:38. > :04:43.safe race today and enjoy it. Pedrosa is back to do and Casey

:04:43. > :04:51.Stoner in the Repsol Honda team. But not quite back to full fitness

:04:51. > :04:58.just yet. How long before you are one &? It is hard to say. It was

:04:58. > :05:04.now it is really painful and I feel I'm not so strong. It is my right

:05:04. > :05:14.hand, normally I always go with my left and this is the first time I'm

:05:14. > :05:19.having problems with the right hand. But I hope that I can get back to

:05:19. > :05:24.the top and try to win some races. Is it just a case of focusing on

:05:24. > :05:28.yourself and your own performance now? There's so much going on in

:05:28. > :05:33.the press it must be hard to concentrate full stop I have a

:05:33. > :05:39.special technique - I read nothing about it and that works. Sounds

:05:39. > :05:46.like a good technique! Great to see Dani Pedrosa back. It has been well

:05:47. > :05:51.overdue. It is good to have him back. But how many times have we

:05:51. > :05:57.seen embracing when his series is already in tatters? Still a lot of

:05:57. > :06:02.points up for grabs. We just so this shot of the handshake before

:06:02. > :06:05.the press conference on Thursday. What did you make of it? I thought

:06:05. > :06:13.it was all to do with the fact that Simoncelli had not washed his hands

:06:13. > :06:19.after going to the toilet! But it is getting ridiculous. Well one guy

:06:19. > :06:25.not here this weekend unfortunately his Loris Capirossi. He was injured

:06:25. > :06:30.and is still a bit battered and bruised. He will be missing from

:06:30. > :06:39.this race for the first time in 20 years. What a waste. We have seen

:06:39. > :06:45.some of his best races here. Some great efforts from him. And it is

:06:45. > :06:51.Courier time as well for us Capirossi I guess. He will have to

:06:51. > :06:54.ask themselves some questions. think so. He just has not cut it.

:06:54. > :07:01.And when you get a little bit older it you do not even know why you are

:07:01. > :07:08.not doing so well. And other Italian, Valentino Rossi. This is

:07:08. > :07:13.his circuit and it is just not going to plan. You either have to

:07:13. > :07:21.worry that your Hero has got through it you knew hero has a head

:07:21. > :07:27.full of straw. Valentino Rossi is struggling with handling. The front

:07:27. > :07:34.end is still worrying him. thing that will Wherry his fans is

:07:34. > :07:39.that he is not even the fastest to catty. No, not nearly. They just do

:07:39. > :07:46.not seem to be able to unlock the bike. At that the merchandising

:07:46. > :07:54.guys are worried. Today I think she might be found out. They're just

:07:54. > :07:59.not getting it together. And Jill Burgess is not here this weekend.

:07:59. > :08:06.Yes his wife is having medical checks. That is awkward because

:08:06. > :08:14.they need all the help they can get trying to sort out that bike.

:08:14. > :08:19.we wish him and his wife or the best. He may not be the fastest to

:08:19. > :08:23.catty, Valentino Rossi, but he is the fastest in the Championship.

:08:23. > :08:29.He's tough at the moment but you have to imagine that that position

:08:29. > :08:34.is coming under serious threat now. Ben Spies should be further up the

:08:34. > :08:39.Championship than he is. He is low on points but now he's Burrell and

:08:39. > :08:45.feels he is getting results under his belt. And what about Casey

:08:45. > :08:51.Stoner, 20 points in the lead? Looking good for Casey. The Honda

:08:51. > :08:58.is arguably the best package out there. He is fast and solid and has

:08:58. > :09:04.got a great bike underneath them and a good team around him. Well we

:09:04. > :09:11.will see how he gets on. The man on the move at the moment is Ben Spies.

:09:11. > :09:21.He's showing all the ingredients to be a future world champion.

:09:21. > :09:26.

:09:26. > :09:36.AMA Superbike champion. The old Superbike champion.

:09:36. > :09:37.

:09:37. > :09:47.-- world. MotoGP rookie of the year. And now all in just his second

:09:47. > :09:53.season, a MotoGP race winner. You have had the best part of a

:09:53. > :10:00.week now to reflect, has its own kin that you are a winner? Honestly

:10:00. > :10:04.it has not. It has started to. Once I got back to Italy and went

:10:04. > :10:10.downtown and had some dinner I could see how different it was to

:10:10. > :10:17.be an MotoGP winner and how will the people were just so excited

:10:17. > :10:25.that for me. It was more excited than I was. It is going to take a

:10:25. > :10:29.while to sink in. It may not happen again, I don't know. But I do know

:10:29. > :10:39.it helps me in my head as a rider knowing that when the bike is there

:10:39. > :10:40.

:10:40. > :10:44.and I'm riding well, that I can't win it. I felt more relieved than

:10:44. > :10:47.joyful that it is over and done with. But now it is done I can

:10:47. > :10:53.concentrate just on going back to the track and work on getting the

:10:53. > :10:58.job done. Generally in MotoGP there seems to be a lot of riders who

:10:58. > :11:08.have fallen out with each other. How do you get on with the other

:11:08. > :11:10.

:11:10. > :11:15.riders? I get along with everybody pretty much. Motegi P E with the

:11:15. > :11:20.riders, the hospitality, it is a travelling family. And when you

:11:20. > :11:24.travel so much during the year and you're in this world, I want to get

:11:24. > :11:30.along with everybody. When the green flag drops, I do not have any

:11:30. > :11:37.friends out there. But it is nice to be able to go and chat with the

:11:37. > :11:42.riders. I do not need - some people need animosity to race better but I

:11:42. > :11:47.do not care. If it is my best friend I would probably raise them

:11:47. > :11:51.harder than somebody I do not like. You said it was like a family but

:11:51. > :11:57.you also have your mother here as well. You or relationship with your

:11:57. > :12:04.mother is quite unique, and she helps you out professionally?

:12:04. > :12:08.is the reason that I'm here. She worked three jobs when I was a kid

:12:08. > :12:15.and if it was not for her I would not be here. I owe her basically

:12:15. > :12:18.everything. As much as Siddique supports it I'm sure that it's

:12:19. > :12:24.vital trip I was done with the racing she would be happy. If you

:12:24. > :12:34.did decide tomorrow you did not want to do MotoGP any more, his

:12:34. > :12:37.

:12:37. > :12:42.cycling but think that you would turn to? For fun. But I'm not good

:12:42. > :12:48.enough to be a professional cyclist and I do not want to suffer so much

:12:48. > :12:55.as they do. I would do it hard core for 10 days and then go back to a

:12:55. > :13:00.real job. But it is a good week for me to turn it my brain of MotoGP

:13:00. > :13:04.racing. But apart from that I do not know what I would do. I do not

:13:04. > :13:11.have any great skills. But that is my favourite hobby and I like to do

:13:11. > :13:16.it. I would race and have fun but I'm genetically not gifted enough

:13:16. > :13:21.to do that well at it. And your hopes for this weekend? This is

:13:21. > :13:27.almost like another home race for you? The Italian people have been

:13:27. > :13:33.very good to me and it is like a second home race basically. I

:13:33. > :13:37.definitely want to back up what we did last weekend. We want to show

:13:37. > :13:44.the confidence and we need to be upfront again. But there was a lot

:13:44. > :13:50.of stuff happening here. Valentino has the best track record here. It

:13:50. > :13:56.is their home test track. So I expect him to be pulling some stuff

:13:56. > :14:06.alt. All we can do is give it 100% like we always took and hope it

:14:06. > :14:08.

:14:08. > :14:16.comes together. Good luck. Well Ben species back include this weekend.

:14:16. > :14:21.What a weekend that was for him. The first dry race winner since two

:14:21. > :14:29.dozen than six. It was a different story with his old team last

:14:30. > :14:34.weekend. They had severe problems with their front tyres. You can get

:14:35. > :14:40.a look at the where on that. It was a difficult weekend for them and

:14:40. > :14:48.this is another circuit that places huge demands on the tyres. We went

:14:48. > :14:52.to have a look and find out more. Down here at Bridgestone, the TEC

:14:52. > :14:59.three guys at young had did not know what had gone on. Can you shed

:14:59. > :15:03.any light? It was a slightly strange situation. It was 29

:15:03. > :15:08.degrees colder it than last year. So the guys went out to the grids

:15:08. > :15:14.on the wet tyres. And it is very unlikely that you can go from the

:15:14. > :15:18.wet tyres straight to the heart. And pretty much everybody used the

:15:18. > :15:24.softer front tyre. Of course that warms up quicker but it does not

:15:24. > :15:31.last so long. And we got that graining. The bikes and the riders

:15:31. > :15:41.use the tyres differently. The Tech 3 Yamaha bikes used them harder and

:15:41. > :15:41.

:15:41. > :15:45.You're using you the asymmetric tyres for the first time. Should

:15:45. > :15:51.this work better here? The world record was set at Mugello last year

:15:51. > :15:55.by Dani. This year, as part of this lane to the riders and providing

:15:55. > :15:59.something softer that warms up quickly, we brought asymmetric

:15:59. > :16:03.tyres which means the left shoulder is a little softer, to give them

:16:03. > :16:08.more grip on the left Tyneside and more consistency.

:16:08. > :16:12.Hopefully asymmetric ties will militate against the problems we

:16:13. > :16:21.saw Simoncelli had last time. A big problem for Bridgestone is trying

:16:21. > :16:27.to prevent tyre degradation. Take the main straight. They are doing

:16:27. > :16:30.0-100 mph. It generates so much heat that it runs the risk of

:16:30. > :16:37.disintegrating the stock and even bigger problem is tired degradation

:16:37. > :16:41.through constant corners. -- tyre degradation. They hit the brakes

:16:41. > :16:48.and the suspension possums out and the tyre wall goes like that. Then

:16:48. > :16:51.they get on the gas. They stuck to head up the hill. They never stand

:16:51. > :16:56.the bike up. Then they get to the crest of the hill and the tyre

:16:56. > :17:01.grows light. It is still grinding and yet at another angle again.

:17:01. > :17:06.They are putting it on an angle grinder and trying to destroy the

:17:06. > :17:12.edge of it. Bear in mind that this track is all brand new, so it is as

:17:12. > :17:16.rough as an emery board. It is a trap that demand -- is

:17:16. > :17:20.demanding on ties but divides his signing of the theatre for the

:17:20. > :17:24.thousands of fans who have descended here for what is for them

:17:25. > :17:29.a treat tribal gathering. The never are the colours so vivid

:17:29. > :17:39.all the support so passionate as here in Mugello Kong where the

:17:39. > :17:55.

:17:55. > :18:05.Italian riders get fanatical Over the years, there has been a

:18:05. > :18:06.

:18:06. > :18:13.sea of red and white in this, the Ducati stand. Meanwhile, over here,

:18:13. > :18:16.they have been sticky yellow. This is Valentino Rossi territory. --

:18:16. > :18:20.strictly Ella. Where once they competed to be the biggest and the

:18:20. > :18:27.loudest, this year the once sworn enemies have formed an eagerly

:18:27. > :18:34.anticipated Alliance. I was Ducati and then Valentina. We have Italian

:18:34. > :18:41.pilots and Italian bikes. Ducati yes but Valentina is the God.

:18:41. > :18:51.Valentina is the best. He is the first rider, for up Italy he is

:18:51. > :18:56.

:18:56. > :18:59.number one. Ducati is Italian. Work, work, Ducati will go.

:18:59. > :19:03.The doctor needs a miracle cure if he is to recreate the races that

:19:03. > :19:07.have made him the most successful rider here at the Mugello circuit.

:19:07. > :19:17.He has nine wins in all classes here, including one very special

:19:17. > :19:39.

:19:39. > :19:46.L&G comes in steaming with the brakes. He muscles his way past

:19:46. > :19:53.Rossi. Rossi's has not on your life. The land leases come up Ia and

:19:53. > :19:59.going to take it anyway. This is great stuff. This is the part of

:19:59. > :20:07.the circuit there really plays to Rossi. P Reid takes the lead. They

:20:07. > :20:15.have won a corner to go. A slide from Loris Capirossi. This is a

:20:15. > :20:20.last corner. What can Capirossi do? Canny comeback? Cannae get the

:20:20. > :20:30.power down? Will it be a Ducati podium on the home circuit? Yes, it

:20:30. > :20:37.

:20:37. > :20:40.An Italian classic. Now there is a new generation of local lads

:20:40. > :20:46.looking to make their mark in front of this incredible crowd. Here is

:20:46. > :20:49.how they got on yesterday in qualifying.

:20:49. > :20:59.Casey Stoner came out on top in their rain-affected qualifying

:20:59. > :21:02.

:21:02. > :21:07.session. He set a new circuit record of 1:0.4. Ben Spies was

:21:07. > :21:10.second quickest, half a second behind Stoner. Completing the front

:21:11. > :21:14.row was Marco Simoncelli who look like a poor contender for much of

:21:14. > :21:19.the session. But he got tangled up a little bit in the rain. Cal

:21:19. > :21:25.Crutchlow was in line for a desperate top-six position right

:21:25. > :21:33.till near the end of the session when Colin Edwards knocked him off

:21:33. > :21:36.back to 7th. As for the home fans' favours, he is back in 12th. No

:21:36. > :21:46.sign yet that Valentino Rossi and Ducati are any closer to solving

:21:46. > :22:20.

:22:20. > :22:30.There he is, Casey Stoner, number 27. He has 27 wins to his name and

:22:30. > :22:34.his -- this is his 27th pole. We spoke to him earlier on. The same

:22:34. > :22:38.position as Assen a week ago. Hope for the same result? There is

:22:38. > :22:44.always a hope. We got good confidence at Assen. We just want

:22:44. > :22:51.to get a good start and see where we can be at the end. Yamaha is

:22:51. > :22:57.working really good here. We can't expect Assen to happen every week.

:22:57. > :23:07.It was fun while it lasted and we would try to get a good start here.

:23:07. > :23:12.

:23:12. > :23:17.It was 0.08. I think we will have a good race. We could see four guys

:23:17. > :23:22.go at it until the end. Ben Spies second on the grid for the second

:23:22. > :23:32.race in succession. Who else to round up the front row? For the 6th

:23:32. > :23:44.

:23:44. > :23:49.successive race, Marco Simoncelli, Dani Pedrosa is coming through as

:23:49. > :23:52.well. Colin Edwards qualified on the outside of the second row just

:23:53. > :23:58.behind Marco. It was right at the end of the session he knocked off

:23:58. > :24:02.his team-mate, Cal Crutchlow. You really didn't need the rain

:24:02. > :24:07.yesterday, did you, on a track that you are learning? I know you find

:24:07. > :24:12.it quite difficult on this track as well. No, not at all. We had the

:24:12. > :24:21.worst warm-up this morning I think you could ever have. We will see

:24:21. > :24:25.what we can do here. It is just track experience. We are going to

:24:25. > :24:31.gamble and run the soft tyres. They probably will not last the race but

:24:31. > :24:34.we will try our best. Let's move on because behind Cal Crutchlow we

:24:34. > :24:38.have Dani Pedrosa. There was a lot of talk about his motivation after

:24:38. > :24:44.all those crashes for coming back to racing. I can tell you he has

:24:44. > :24:49.been all smiles and pretty relaxed here this weekend. He was second

:24:49. > :24:53.fastest on Friday and he has been pretty happy with the rain in the

:24:53. > :24:58.sessions. He was talking earlier about the pain he has been feeling.

:24:58. > :25:02.So it remains to be seen what he can do in race distance. But as we

:25:02. > :25:06.know, he is really good for his start.

:25:06. > :25:13.He is a demon starter and it is a long straight down towards the

:25:13. > :25:17.first turn. Some way further back is Valentino Rossi in 12th. I have

:25:17. > :25:22.his team manager here. What is going on? Valentino's struggling

:25:22. > :25:28.with Ducati still and been beaten by other Ducatis as well. Yesterday

:25:28. > :25:35.was a tough day but I think this morning in the warm-up we had a

:25:35. > :25:41.difference and he felt better. So we think this is the start we look

:25:41. > :25:49.for in the race. And of course we looked to go ahead of all the other

:25:49. > :25:53.Ducatis. More Rossi magic? Yes, maybe. We hope to find the same

:25:53. > :26:00.edition that was in the warm-up. Good luck.

:26:00. > :26:10.Just one more before we get kicked off that I would like so catch up

:26:10. > :26:15.

:26:15. > :26:25.with. De Puniet. He is not there. The talkies that Sylvain is going

:26:25. > :26:25.

:26:25. > :26:30.to replace Capirossi in two weeks' time. We are all set up now for the

:26:30. > :26:35.start. 23 laps. We have pool men in particular are very much on the

:26:35. > :26:41.pace. All eyes on one of them, Marcus Simoncelli. Steve Benjani in

:26:41. > :26:51.the commentary box as usual. Our first 23 laps, you'd have to say

:26:51. > :26:52.

:26:52. > :26:56.Simoncelli in particular the first nervous about. Probably the left-

:26:57. > :27:01.hander. Over the crest of the whole, there is a chance to get it sorted

:27:01. > :27:11.out and get back up the hill. But then the tide and twisted turn that

:27:11. > :27:23.

:27:23. > :27:33.we will have a look at in the laps, the journey. It is quite a

:27:33. > :27:37.

:27:37. > :27:47.circuit. Talking to the riders, it doesn't necessarily look that way

:27:47. > :27:49.

:27:49. > :27:54.but it is fast changes of direction. It goes on and on with chicanes and

:27:54. > :27:59.hills. There is no time to get a breather. It is very, very

:28:00. > :28:04.difficult and very, very hot. I think we are 28 a 29 degrees. It is

:28:04. > :28:08.looking like being at Cocking race. We saw Ben Spies saying that he

:28:08. > :28:14.reckons there will be a bunch of them, Parnaby four guys battling it

:28:14. > :28:17.out. This guy is looking lonesome on the 4th row. There are two other

:28:17. > :28:21.Ducatis faster than him on the Forth Road, which is always very

:28:21. > :28:25.difficult. Word coming to me is that Simoncelli has some problems.

:28:25. > :28:30.You do not need to bomb stark one of those bikes on the start-line.

:28:30. > :28:36.He has got it going. But it doesn't do well to get on it and sort it

:28:36. > :28:40.out afterwards, if I was you, Marco. The last thing you need is being

:28:40. > :28:48.hot and bothered before the start of the race. It ruins your

:28:48. > :28:57.composure. It could wreck your hair! I hope we didn't fire of his

:28:57. > :29:07.airbag. You will see some real shots onto the bottoms of the

:29:07. > :29:10.

:29:10. > :29:20.riders that they have airbags. Casey usually holds back. Valentino

:29:20. > :29:22.

:29:22. > :29:27.Rossi will hopes he stars as well as in the warm-up. He is important

:29:27. > :29:37.rider to watch aside from the fact of all the nonsense being talked

:29:37. > :29:45.

:29:46. > :29:55.about him. They are ideally as many people around Simoncelli's track as

:29:55. > :30:05.Valentino Rossi's. These are these winding corners, left to right,

:30:05. > :30:16.

:30:16. > :30:20.left to right. They go for 110 to 140 back to 110 mph. Pedrosa is

:30:20. > :30:26.going to find this very, very hard going indeed. There is lots of

:30:26. > :30:30.downhill and off camber and big stocks. I have a feeling Dani

:30:30. > :30:40.Pedrosa will be better once the race gets going. It is funny how

:30:40. > :31:05.

:31:05. > :31:13.Payne seems to disappear when after his win. Lots of results. A

:31:13. > :31:23.wonder if Yamaha will look at the team order at any stage. We just

:31:23. > :31:28.

:31:28. > :31:38.saw the safety car or going through. For Valentino Rossi, a last year he

:31:38. > :31:38.

:31:38. > :31:48.left Mugello in an ambulance. the grid it is important to keep

:31:48. > :31:49.

:31:49. > :31:55.our eyes out for Dani Pedrosa. at the crowd. It is a big one.

:31:55. > :32:04.Casey Stoner on the left. Similar Shelley on the right. And where

:32:04. > :32:11.weighty for the start and there are a wave. Marco Simoncelli has

:32:11. > :32:21.dropped back behind Lorenzo. Dovizioso trying to come through

:32:21. > :32:22.

:32:22. > :32:29.the middle. Riding with Valentino Rossi. We take our first left-

:32:29. > :32:39.hander. It over the Crest of the hill. So Margot Zemin Shelley did

:32:39. > :32:57.

:32:57. > :33:07.not make a lot of that there but a to find a way past Marco's

:33:07. > :33:09.

:33:09. > :33:19.Simoncelli. Casey Stoner in the lead. Dovizioso is always a strong

:33:19. > :33:40.

:33:40. > :33:50.has up their sleeves. Tony Elias is up into 7th place. In front of Cal

:33:50. > :34:00.Crutchlow. I do not know what went on there. Casey Stoner is at the

:34:00. > :34:03.

:34:03. > :34:12.front. One lap down and he leads. And what a first lap that was.

:34:12. > :34:21.Bautista goes down the inside. is Nicky Hayden. Straight back onto

:34:21. > :34:31.the track. He was really in good shape there. What about the crowd

:34:31. > :34:36.

:34:36. > :34:46.here today? The Ducati fans are not getting a great deal. Down the hill

:34:46. > :34:47.

:34:47. > :34:57.we go. Look at Alvaro Bautista! I do not Megawati had for breakfast.

:34:57. > :35:04.

:35:04. > :35:09.-- I do not know what he had for breakfast. It is getting busy.

:35:09. > :35:15.Already we are going to find out whether Lorenzo can stay in touch

:35:15. > :35:25.with Casey Stoner or if Dovizioso gets all over him. The Honda is

:35:25. > :35:29.

:35:29. > :35:39.good on this circuit. It looks like Casey Stoner is bolting at this

:35:39. > :35:48.

:35:48. > :35:58.moment. That was a shocker. Nicky Hayden. There running with the

:35:58. > :36:02.

:36:02. > :36:12.hounds before that. Casey Stoner with the fastest lap. Bautista or

:36:12. > :36:17.

:36:17. > :36:23.having an outstanding ride. The whole of this circuit has been

:36:23. > :36:33.resurfaced. There's not a more beautiful band of tarmac in the

:36:33. > :36:45.

:36:45. > :36:54.world. Working our way down the hill. Margot's Simoncelli is not

:36:54. > :37:04.really in Dovizioso. Realistically Margesson and cherry does not want

:37:04. > :37:18.

:37:18. > :37:24.to go and do anything silly. -- ma Championship. Take a look at this.

:37:24. > :37:34.There's number 19 in front of Colin Edwards, in front of Cal Crutchlow

:37:34. > :37:37.

:37:37. > :37:47.and a whole clutch of other people. Including Valentino Rossi.

:37:47. > :37:49.

:37:49. > :37:54.Qualifying shuffled things up. But just to have a shot at qualifying.

:37:55. > :38:04.They cut tiers wrong. But this is better than anything we have seen

:38:05. > :38:05.

:38:05. > :38:15.from Zizzo keep this year. There is talk of Suzuki not entering the

:38:15. > :38:15.

:38:15. > :38:25.race next year. Cal Crutchlow has never been here before. It is going

:38:25. > :38:31.to be a tough race for Valentino Rossi. Cal Crutchlow still pretty

:38:31. > :38:37.so air from his broken collarbone from Silverstone. Pretty much all

:38:37. > :38:44.the front guys have gone for the harder tyres. Cal Crutchlow is one

:38:44. > :38:51.who has gone for the softer at tyre. But the top four or are all on the

:38:51. > :38:57.hard tyres. It is really going to play itself out in the second part

:38:57. > :39:03.of the race with the heat, the sun. It is much hotter than these guys

:39:03. > :39:10.have experienced all weekend. much Ellie's last lap was the 10th

:39:11. > :39:20.of the second to faster than the two guys in front of him. So he is

:39:21. > :39:34.

:39:34. > :39:44.creeping up. Has Lorenzo gone too deep? Just hangs on to it. It is

:39:44. > :39:45.

:39:45. > :39:55.one of those corners. It goes down whole -- Downill and it just wants

:39:55. > :40:02.

:40:02. > :40:09.to subacute in. Ben Spies will be slightly frustrated having

:40:09. > :40:19.qualified second for this. He's having to write a hard to keep in

:40:19. > :40:24.

:40:24. > :40:30.touch with these guys. Including his team-mate. A lot of people have

:40:30. > :40:37.been saying about Simoncelli being wild and crazy but this circuit in

:40:37. > :40:42.2006, I can remember Casey Stoner appearing out of the dust. The bike

:40:42. > :40:50.literally exploded into mid-air as if it had been fired from a harpoon

:40:50. > :41:00.missile launcher. Casey Stoner used to have the most spectacular

:41:00. > :41:04.

:41:04. > :41:13.stomach wrenching crashes you have ever seen. And how many times has

:41:13. > :41:23.Lorenzo done the same thing? board with Casey Stoner. They do

:41:23. > :41:24.

:41:24. > :41:32.not use the first year around this circuit. -- first year. Valentino

:41:32. > :41:42.Rossi closing in on the back of Colin Edwards. Cal Crutchlow just

:41:42. > :41:44.

:41:44. > :41:50.in behind that lot. We took about Valentino Rossi, he is having

:41:50. > :42:00.another look on the inside. Colin Edwards is his next victim. But he

:42:00. > :42:02.

:42:02. > :42:12.has got so much pressure on him. Looking at Valentino Rossi, and we

:42:12. > :42:25.

:42:25. > :42:32.have got Edwards, and in front but Mr. -- Bautista. Valentino Rossi,

:42:32. > :42:39.one of his favourite passing places is Casanova of. Round the outside

:42:39. > :42:48.at Casanova's. A all his fans used to be there. He was right in front

:42:48. > :42:55.of his own crowd. I remember it not long ago when Alvaro Bautista will

:42:55. > :43:02.slammed down the inside of the Jorge Lorenzo. Lorenzo finished up

:43:02. > :43:09.meandering through the crowd. That is how long the grudges go back in

:43:09. > :43:17.his class. That is Lorenzo and that is Dovizioso. He has spent much of

:43:17. > :43:23.his career chasing Lorenzo around the pack. The old boys are in it

:43:23. > :43:33.and the crowd are just loving it. Valentino Rossi is through. He has

:43:33. > :43:39.passed Cal Crutchlow. Now he has to get past Hector Barbera. Valentino

:43:39. > :43:49.Rossi has moved up into its eighth position. Doing a great job because

:43:49. > :43:53.

:43:53. > :44:03.he has no confidence in the front of the bike. That is the bike with

:44:03. > :44:04.

:44:04. > :44:10.a different rear suspension system. There's so much grip on those. And

:44:10. > :44:20.the new surface here has helped a great deal. It is all in it really

:44:20. > :44:21.

:44:21. > :44:31.great shape. We must talk about the Ducati. Casey Stoner at the front

:44:31. > :44:43.

:44:43. > :44:48.just stroking it away. Let's have a look at what Valentino Rossi can do.

:44:48. > :44:53.Nicky Hayden will be furious with himself. Because he does speak

:44:53. > :45:02.himself up especially here in front of the home crowd as far as Ducati

:45:02. > :45:12.are concerned. How about that? Lorenzo has just been done by to

:45:12. > :45:27.

:45:27. > :45:32.the tyres again. He is pointing at the front tyre. What is going on?

:45:32. > :45:37.That is out rages if that is the case. Everyone has gone for the

:45:37. > :45:47.harder option. I don't know what is going on there but what a

:45:47. > :45:55.

:45:55. > :46:05.Dovizioso said thanks. The rear wheel came up in the air a touch.

:46:05. > :46:13.

:46:14. > :46:21.Left a yard or so. Now it is Repsol top of the show what was going on

:46:21. > :46:26.there. Talking to Bridgestones. It was the Tech Three on the guys who

:46:27. > :46:36.had this problem last time in cold conditions. And Dovizioso was one

:46:37. > :46:39.

:46:40. > :46:48.of the other ones who had a problem with the tyre wearing in odd places.

:46:48. > :46:58.Honda have never won in this category. They have won with the

:46:58. > :47:06.

:47:06. > :47:15.990 bikes. At the moment, Honda are so desperate to win the 800s. A new

:47:15. > :47:20.lap and circuit record for Stoner. That wasn't bad. Down the hill we

:47:20. > :47:30.go. The lap record is not as fast a time as the qualifying times. But

:47:30. > :47:35.

:47:35. > :47:39.nevertheless, as I said before, the Times these guys are banging out

:47:39. > :47:47.are fast. You don't get a dull race here very often. It is a slight

:47:47. > :47:54.worry when the field is a bit depleted. In fact, where his Rossi?

:47:54. > :48:04.I think he got past Barbera. Barbera has got back past him again.

:48:04. > :48:19.

:48:19. > :48:27.I need to get some paperwork done This is the battle for second. I

:48:27. > :48:37.will keep an eye on Simoncelli's time. He would be getting a spell

:48:37. > :48:40.

:48:40. > :48:50.of the exhaust fumes... He nearly drove up those exhaust fumes.

:48:50. > :49:22.

:49:22. > :49:30.Barbera now at the head of that. now got Barbera to try to deal with.

:49:30. > :49:38.-- Bautista in blue. Close stuff there. Lorenzo de squeezed his way

:49:38. > :49:45.past. He ran into the corner too hot. In 4th place, Marco Simoncelli

:49:45. > :49:50.is watching all this going on. You can see that he is much closer. Ben

:49:50. > :49:57.Spies not dropping off either. Rossi now is in to 6th position.

:49:57. > :50:02.fairness, he had the better of a battle in the last couple of laps.

:50:02. > :50:07.Rossi started 12th and has battled his way through and he has had to

:50:07. > :50:12.race all the way through this lot. Over the line goes the leader. I

:50:12. > :50:22.look at Bhagat. It is 2.3 seconds. That is comfortable for Casey

:50:22. > :50:25.

:50:25. > :50:30.Stoner. I know he takes a different line through there. Lorenzo. But

:50:30. > :50:40.he... Here they come. Brace yourself! It is a lovely set of

:50:40. > :51:00.

:51:00. > :51:04.cross about this and I think the crowd will as well. But they played

:51:04. > :51:12.so Hector Barbera. He has not had a great year but he is having a good

:51:12. > :51:19.race here. He is way down in the championship. This is an absolute

:51:19. > :51:27.belter. Ducati, Suzuki. Up the whole we go. Then the Honda and

:51:27. > :51:33.then the Yamaha. It is a great clutch of bikes. Rossi on the

:51:33. > :51:43.inside. Can Barbera hang him off? He has got to be slipped streaming

:51:43. > :51:51.down this long, long straight. It is 0.7 of a mile long. And it is

:51:51. > :51:59.downhill. That is the part of the circuit where Rossi hurt himself

:51:59. > :52:09.last year. The Ducati team give very good customer engines.

:52:09. > :52:11.

:52:11. > :52:20.Absolutely. If anything, Lorenzo is struggling with the brakes a little

:52:20. > :52:25.into that corner. I think he is faster in the middle of the corners.

:52:25. > :52:35.But sometimes you are in the slipstream at 200 mph and it upsets

:52:35. > :52:37.

:52:37. > :52:47.the bike. This is a reverse of their 250 days. It used to be

:52:47. > :52:53.

:52:53. > :53:00.Lorenzo in front. A beautiful move. That is down at Casanova again.

:53:00. > :53:09.Third gear corner, about 110 mph. Simoncelli keeps nudging his way

:53:09. > :53:19.closer and then he loses it. To ritzier so cannot turn when he

:53:19. > :53:22.

:53:22. > :53:30.wants to. -- Andrea difference here so it can't turn when he wants to.

:53:30. > :53:40.Our life is like a time warp together. So that gap at the front,

:53:40. > :53:54.

:53:55. > :54:00.comes up. Shifting gear and then the other part of the ramp. Jorge

:54:00. > :54:05.Lorenzo this time. Ben Spies is not done with. He has definitely closed

:54:05. > :54:08.up on Marco Simoncelli. Meantime, he is tried to get them if he

:54:08. > :54:16.possibly can. I think they eventer keep each other tangled enough to

:54:16. > :54:26.do it. Try to have a look at Barbera. We have the other battling

:54:26. > :54:30.Ducatis. I would not look over my shoulder now. I think he looked

:54:30. > :54:40.over his shoulder not to upset Nicky Hayden. He has let him

:54:40. > :54:42.

:54:42. > :54:50.through. Nicky Hayden was let through by Karel Abraham. That is

:54:50. > :54:59.Nicky Hayden, who has now moved up to 11th spot. Number 69. He went

:54:59. > :55:03.into the gravel on lap two. 2.1 seconds, the advantage he has got.

:55:03. > :55:08.We are waiting to see if he has extended it or lost it. It is just

:55:08. > :55:14.enough of a lead. He cannot go too mad with it. But it is useful

:55:15. > :55:24.enough. This is where thickness comes into it now with 11 laps

:55:24. > :55:29.remaining. The Yamahas do such a good job there. The Honda

:55:29. > :55:34.particularly. What a great start for Casey Stoner and also getting a

:55:34. > :55:41.breaking-point right. You never get a chance to test job breaking point

:55:41. > :55:45.of the start line. The watch the blue bike at the back, 19. What

:55:45. > :55:55.about any as? He is right on the inside there. I think he went with

:55:55. > :55:58.

:55:58. > :56:07.Battista. There is Elias with the yellow helmet. Karel Abraham got

:56:07. > :56:13.shuffled out there. The gap from Stoner back to Lorenzo is 1.9. That

:56:13. > :56:23.has gone down from 2.1. We have 10 laps remaining. There is the leader,

:56:23. > :56:39.

:56:39. > :56:48.right. I get so excited. There is just too much going on! It is

:56:48. > :56:53.electric! A will Casey Stoner be able to respond to this? Ben Spies

:56:53. > :56:58.is right on the back wheel of Marco Simoncelli. Marco Simoncelli has

:56:58. > :57:08.run out of puff. I reckon his head has got hot. Maybe his hair will

:57:08. > :57:18.melt off. These two will now be working their way back on to it.

:57:18. > :57:19.

:57:19. > :57:29.Yes, Simoncelli has really got to concentrate. Ben Spies has got the

:57:29. > :57:34.

:57:34. > :57:44.monkey off his back of Assen. I would have thought Marco Simoncelli

:57:44. > :57:48.could block him out. He didn't need a second invitation! A little tiny

:57:48. > :57:53.gap like a rat up a drainpipe and he was through. He has got the

:57:53. > :57:58.taste for racing now after last week. He got his head down. It

:57:58. > :58:04.wasn't an error from Simoncelli so much. It was just a fantastic bit

:58:04. > :58:10.of work from Ben Spies. He managed to keep it nice and tight there. He

:58:10. > :58:20.got it loped down very nicely. Down the hill through Casanova. 15 left.

:58:20. > :58:32.

:58:32. > :58:38.We are on board with Marco the bike goes light. Yes, indeed.

:58:38. > :58:47.Nine laps to go. This is going to be a long nine laps. Here is the

:58:47. > :58:57.replay. Ben Spies has a look and see is the gap and it is just about

:58:57. > :59:04.the way it of a Yamaha. Beautiful move. Simoncelli, nice and polite,

:59:04. > :59:09.tucked his arms in. The critical thing for Simoncelli is actually

:59:09. > :59:16.tried to keep it on the island and make sure everything works. He has

:59:16. > :59:25.got to finish even if it is 5th. eight laps gone. Gap is 1.3. We

:59:25. > :59:35.have a race on here. I know I said that in place two but we didn't. --

:59:35. > :59:52.

:59:52. > :59:57.less than 1.3, I would have said. They are reeling in Casey Stoner

:59:57. > :00:07.big time. Very much so, yes. Jorge Lorenzo said his fastest lap of the

:00:07. > :00:07.

:00:07. > :00:17.race. -- set his fastest lap. We are on board with Casey Stoner for

:00:17. > :00:40.

:00:40. > :00:48.gear. Can Casey Stoner respond? It is your worst nightmare. This will

:00:48. > :00:58.be something else. Lorenzo is the man bleeding the Championship. This

:00:58. > :01:04.

:01:04. > :01:14.is going to be a special for the current world champion. Nice clear

:01:14. > :01:33.

:01:33. > :01:38.vision as he goes over the line. From 1.3 down to 1.0. That has let

:01:38. > :01:44.Lorenzo off the hook a bit and will give him some breathing space to

:01:44. > :01:54.really get his head down and get on top of Casey Stoner. Lorenzo in

:01:54. > :02:01.qualifying, it is not traditionally as Yamaha's circuit. It looks like

:02:01. > :02:06.the Yamaha is the one that has less degradation in its tyres. Because

:02:06. > :02:16.Lorenza can keep up the pace and it looks to me as if Casey Stoner

:02:16. > :02:22.cannot. We said about this Championship, no put him trying to

:02:22. > :02:30.keep in front of Lorenzo and crashing out. The best thing that

:02:30. > :02:40.Casey Stoner can do is make sure he gets across the line. If he has got

:02:40. > :02:44.

:02:44. > :02:52.issues... He is in big trouble. some locally. -- absolutely. Casey

:02:52. > :03:01.Stoner getting reeled in now will be style. The clock. Any minute now.

:03:01. > :03:08.The crowd trying to wake him on. Not 0.3 of a second it is. While

:03:08. > :03:16.all this is going on the one man not in the thick of it is Cal

:03:16. > :03:22.Crutchlow. What happened to. could not afford to crash and I

:03:22. > :03:30.knew I was going to crash. We struggled for a set up all weekend

:03:30. > :03:40.and be we chasing I tell. -- we were chasing our tail. That tyre

:03:40. > :03:46.completely chewed up. I was wide at every single corner in that race.

:03:46. > :03:53.So decided to pit. That is devastating for me because I never

:03:53. > :04:01.give in but I have got my shoulder to think of as well. I don't want

:04:01. > :04:06.to run what we have put in so far. We will go away from here having

:04:06. > :04:16.learnt some stuff I think. world champion is back in front

:04:16. > :04:17.

:04:17. > :04:27.with a new lap record. The fastest lap of the race. Down again into

:04:27. > :04:36.

:04:36. > :04:41.Casanova's. A lovely move. That was terrible news for Cal Crutchlow. He

:04:41. > :04:47.was being prudent, not wanting to hurt himself. But this Championship

:04:47. > :04:57.is going to be booted wide open again if Lorenzo can pick up these

:04:57. > :05:00.

:05:00. > :05:09.points. If he cannot extract that kind of performance from the Yamaha.

:05:09. > :05:19.Has Casey Zdenek decided to that he wants to hang on to the coat tails

:05:19. > :05:29.of the Yamaha and? Is going to hang on to Lorenzo and have a go?

:05:29. > :05:29.

:05:29. > :05:37.key will be where their Jorge Lorenzo can crowbar open a gap. It

:05:37. > :05:42.looks as if Lawrence Hill is leaving Casey Stoner behind. That

:05:42. > :05:52.is bad news for Casey Stoner because the last thing he needs is

:05:52. > :05:55.

:05:55. > :06:05.Dovizioso to take it away. He could lose another it for all points in

:06:05. > :06:07.

:06:07. > :06:17.that case. That has got to be issues with the tyres unless the

:06:17. > :06:25.Honda has been burning up too much fuel. In that case the engine

:06:25. > :06:31.management system will shut itself down. I suspect it is more likely

:06:31. > :06:41.to be the tyres. Casey Stoner has perhaps Murren down those tyres a

:06:41. > :07:16.

:07:16. > :07:26.start for Valentino Rossi. He had a bit of a run-down into the first

:07:26. > :07:29.

:07:30. > :07:39.turn. It seems they have had electrical problems with the Ducati

:07:40. > :07:44.

:07:44. > :07:51.bike. There's Hector Barbara haven't a good run at the moment.

:07:51. > :08:01.Ben Spies 18 seconds further up the road. It looks like the Battle of

:08:01. > :08:11.the Repsol Honda to get second and third. Jorge Lorenzo are looking

:08:11. > :08:17.

:08:17. > :08:27.good with four laps remaining. Casey Stoner has got a second

:08:27. > :08:37.problem. He is trying to respond to Lorenzo but Dovizioso has just as

:08:37. > :08:44.

:08:44. > :08:54.quick. Here is a replay. Then spies and was not close enough. It is

:08:54. > :09:02.

:09:02. > :09:07.easy to see at Gap and think you can get through it. Colin Edwards

:09:07. > :09:17.having a reasonable run out there at the moment and Nicky Hayden has

:09:17. > :09:47.

:09:47. > :09:53.come back pretty good. Casey Stoner trying to hang on to his team-mate.

:09:53. > :10:03.He just could not get the power. He has lost grip on the rear of that

:10:03. > :10:04.

:10:04. > :10:09.bike. You can see him try to shift his body weight. He was definitely

:10:09. > :10:17.in trouble coming out of that bottom end corner. I could see him

:10:17. > :10:27.trying to shuffle his weight around to try to get more grip. Lorenzo at

:10:27. > :10:32.the front with A1 second lead over these guys. Dovizioso has recovered

:10:32. > :10:40.quickly as they work their way up the hill. The elevation changes are

:10:41. > :10:46.enormous. There is Lorenzo, the reigning world champion. But the

:10:46. > :10:51.guy that is in the front in the series his way back down the road.

:10:51. > :11:00.This is probably about the best race I have ever seen for work

:11:00. > :11:05.Jorge Lorenzo. To come back from where he was in third place to

:11:05. > :11:15.fight his way back up to the front. Putting in its solid and consistent

:11:15. > :11:27.

:11:28. > :11:33.times. Running down the hill from the penultimate time. Casey Stoner

:11:33. > :11:43.seems to have Dovizioso it under control but anything can happen in

:11:43. > :11:50.

:11:50. > :12:00.the last lap. This is where I expect Dovizioso to be able to get

:12:00. > :12:00.

:12:00. > :12:10.into the slipstream. You would think he would try to slip through.

:12:10. > :12:12.

:12:12. > :12:18.Side by side over the hill. Casey Stoner tries to cut back. Dovizioso

:12:18. > :12:25.throws Casey Stoner. What a belter! Casey Stoner looked to go to the

:12:25. > :12:34.inside. You can see him go for it the gap. He will not be pleased

:12:34. > :12:44.about that. That was the most amazing bit of breaking by

:12:44. > :12:50.

:12:50. > :12:58.Dovizioso. We're down through Casanova's. What can Casey Stoner

:12:59. > :13:08.do to help his Championship here at the moment the? Was all Dovizioso

:13:08. > :13:18.in the slip Stream. He may have to stuff him into the last corner,

:13:18. > :13:22.

:13:22. > :13:32.which is coming up very soon. The two team-mates have to make sure

:13:32. > :13:34.

:13:34. > :13:39.they do not take each other out. Casey Stoner it seems to be

:13:39. > :13:46.struggling on the exit of the corners. It looks like Dovizioso is

:13:46. > :13:56.getting out of their. Jorge Lorenzo has pulled off a magnificent win in

:13:56. > :13:59.

:13:59. > :14:09.Italy. Dovizioso eclipses Casey Stoner. And a nice one there for

:14:09. > :14:10.

:14:10. > :14:20.Ben Spies who sees off Simoncelli. The crowd are cheering him over the

:14:20. > :14:24.

:14:24. > :14:30.line. That was very nice work by Valentino Rossi. What a race he had.

:14:30. > :14:39.There is Nicky Hayden who made something out of it. And

:14:39. > :14:49.disappointing to see Alvaro Bautista a, he was so much in the

:14:49. > :14:52.

:14:52. > :14:57.hunt for so long. I think that is the best race I have seen. The

:14:57. > :15:04.Honda is such a great bike. Tremendous stuff from the younger

:15:04. > :15:09.Spaniard. Absolutely brilliant. That was now his 16th win. He has

:15:09. > :15:14.the body language of someone who looks really surprised by it.

:15:14. > :15:24.not even think he will have any celebrations. It was not looking

:15:24. > :15:27.

:15:27. > :15:33.good at the start of the weekend. That is good stuff. Today it ran it

:15:33. > :15:37.incredibly well. EMI have was good on the tyres. Casey Stoner will not

:15:38. > :15:47.be pleased. He still picks up some points but not what he was

:15:48. > :16:00.

:16:00. > :16:10.Dovizioso, whose -- whose voice is just breaking! The unbridled joy a

:16:10. > :16:12.

:16:12. > :16:20.of being the lead Honda home and a team win. Beating fair and square

:16:20. > :16:29.Casey Stoner is a belter. Tight round the bottom there. Excellent

:16:29. > :16:34.move from him out of that final corner. OK, what a way in. -- what

:16:34. > :16:40.a win. A fantastic win. Where did those

:16:40. > :16:47.Lamb times come at the end from Jorge Lorenzo? A race like this,

:16:47. > :16:51.only he can make. It is like a robot. He doesn't like that name.

:16:51. > :16:55.It is unbelievable how he is doing that and the rest was just

:16:55. > :16:59.hammering and pushing and finally we did it again. Is the

:16:59. > :17:04.championship back on now? Were well, that is hard to say. Of course,

:17:04. > :17:10.these are the moments where we can make the difference and catch up

:17:10. > :17:15.with Casey a bit. It was good that Dovizioso came second as well. We

:17:15. > :17:23.clutch up nine points. There are still a long way to go. We are

:17:23. > :17:27.ready to do more. We were told yesterday you put some 2010 parts

:17:27. > :17:35.back in the pike. Is that what is making it work? No, not really. It

:17:35. > :17:41.is a combination. It is still a 2011 bike. That is what matters.

:17:41. > :17:47.Basically, we improved the set-up and it is a bit different from last

:17:47. > :17:54.year. We are not sure why we are able to have to change the package

:17:54. > :18:00.so dramatically. Finally, it is not a 2010 bike. Yes, we are using some

:18:00. > :18:07.parts but race by a brace, we are making changes. It is a good bike.

:18:07. > :18:09.Enjoy the party. He must be absolutely... It is an

:18:09. > :18:19.interesting point about whether they have actually found something

:18:19. > :18:22.

:18:22. > :18:32.on the bike more than Lorenzo just getting a bit lucky. Yes, what a

:18:32. > :18:38.

:18:38. > :18:45.ride for this man. It is not a 2010 bike. They have a 2011 registration.

:18:45. > :18:55.Jorge Lorenzo, current world champion. He didn't have confidence

:18:55. > :19:01.

:19:01. > :19:06.in the old one. We have all done that. Gone back to start again.

:19:06. > :19:13.That was a proper little triumph for Dovizioso. I'm sure there will

:19:14. > :19:23.be congratulations between the team next. I don't think Stoner will

:19:24. > :19:25.

:19:25. > :19:29.bear in any ill will. I thought at the beginning when Stoner got his

:19:29. > :19:34.head down and set out to Matt Baggott, botty was gone.

:19:34. > :19:43.Congratulations there. It was fair and square, wasn't it? This is

:19:44. > :19:48.where we expected it, losing a bit of paint on the side. Stone in

:19:48. > :19:53.nearly ran into the back of him. I don't think he could believe that

:19:53. > :19:59.Dovizioso managed to get it stopped so well and so good. He looked more

:19:59. > :20:02.under control than Casey. The one thing this championship needs is

:20:02. > :20:07.more riders. Have you found one, Matt?

:20:08. > :20:15.I have found one. First of all, look at the crowd coming up at the

:20:15. > :20:21.bank. I have a former Grand Prix rider with me. He speaks better

:20:21. > :20:25.English than myself friend Charlie put together. It seems you are

:20:25. > :20:30.going to be joining a compatriot in the next round at Germany. -- in

:20:30. > :20:35.Germany. Yes, we're going to start tomorrow so I can get to grips with

:20:35. > :20:40.the bike. It is nearly three years since I rode it. I can't wait to be

:20:40. > :20:45.back on it and try the Tantastic bike again. The plans are for the

:20:45. > :20:48.Saxon ring. We were chatting at the start of the race and you said you

:20:48. > :20:52.missed that being when all the bikes go off together. What did you

:20:52. > :20:56.make of the race today? First of all, it was the noise. I was

:20:56. > :21:01.sitting here with the race director when they started the race. When

:21:01. > :21:09.the bike goes, I just forgot how loud it was. I used to be on the

:21:09. > :21:15.grid, so I had the ear plugs. get down to the podium.

:21:15. > :21:19.Casey, congratulations. Damage limitation, though. What happened?

:21:20. > :21:23.I did everything I could during the race. We started off up all right

:21:23. > :21:27.and the bike felt all right. We had a problem in the warm-up. As soon

:21:27. > :21:31.as the temperature warmed up, we lost grip. We decided whether or

:21:31. > :21:36.not to change the pressure and I was recommended not to change it

:21:36. > :21:40.for the race. But as you can see, it was so much hotter. The tyre

:21:40. > :21:44.pressure got up private at -- too high and I lost my grip. There was

:21:44. > :21:47.no pressure on the front and has started closing the fund. We

:21:47. > :21:54.thought let's try to keep a consistent pace, but it was too

:21:54. > :21:58.slow. There was nothing we could do. We lost all the grip in the rear

:21:58. > :22:07.and you can't do anything without it. Thank you.

:22:07. > :22:11.I should say, Casey called her Lucy. He is calling her a different name

:22:11. > :22:15.every week. Casey was saying that the extra heat today was causing

:22:15. > :22:21.problems for grip. A difficult weekend because not much dry track

:22:21. > :22:26.for these guys. It makes it hard. It is hard on the tyres and pop --

:22:26. > :22:32.and hard physically. After 45 minutes on the bikes, you can feel

:22:32. > :22:42.it. Of course, it would have been really hard. Casey's pace came down

:22:42. > :22:44.

:22:44. > :22:48.a bit at the end. Lorenzo was on fire.

:22:48. > :22:54.Congratulations. Important victory and important to see this by

:22:54. > :23:02.winning again. The Yes, I'm so happy. I put everything, all the

:23:02. > :23:08.energy I have in my body on the track. In the end I win the race

:23:08. > :23:17.which at the beginning seemed so difficult. Casey was so quick.

:23:17. > :23:24.Little by little, I was recovering. I was not able to overtake them on

:23:24. > :23:30.the heartbreakings. But I saw the opportunity on the downhill.

:23:30. > :23:34.Congratulations. Tang Q. What a performance from Jorge

:23:35. > :23:39.Lorenzo. You were marvelling at his consistency, particularly towards

:23:39. > :23:48.the end of the race. His pace was unbelievable. It was very

:23:48. > :23:54.impressive. You could tell he wanted it so badly. He was really

:23:54. > :23:59.pushing hard. Then Dovizioso gave Stoner a hard time at the end. It

:23:59. > :24:04.was a great race overall because it is not so often you get the

:24:04. > :24:07.surprise of people coming back like this. A great podium for the home

:24:07. > :24:14.fans to celebrate. Congratulations on the podium. You

:24:14. > :24:22.have given them something to cheer about. Already last year I came

:24:22. > :24:26.third. It is something I have been waiting to feel. It is something

:24:26. > :24:33.not many people can feel and it is very special. We made a really good

:24:33. > :24:38.race. The pace was good. We made a really good weekend. Thank you to

:24:38. > :24:42.the team. To be the first Italian in Italy is something special.

:24:42. > :24:46.will and enjoy it. I'm up sure he will enjoy it.

:24:46. > :24:52.Sylvain, standing on the podium in front of a home crowd and a crowd

:24:52. > :24:56.like this as well. Look at this. Incredible scenes. It is

:24:56. > :25:01.unbelievable. I was just thinking, last year you could see everybody

:25:01. > :25:05.was in yellow but now you can see red and yellow. You're going to be

:25:05. > :25:12.riding one of these Ducatis. It is not the quickest bite out there at

:25:12. > :25:18.the moment. A bit of a handful. They are working on it. For a shock,

:25:18. > :25:27.they are difficult. Everyone is very close in competitions like

:25:27. > :25:34.this. You just need that little step. Compared to what I'm used to,

:25:34. > :25:39.this is a very different way of using a bike and I can't wait. When

:25:39. > :25:43.you push the bikes, there is nothing better in the world. Let's

:25:43. > :25:53.have a look and some stuff from Valentino today. He always gives

:25:53. > :26:00.

:26:00. > :26:04.these guys something to watch and A real fight between the three of

:26:04. > :26:11.them. Barbera did a great race. I was really impressed with how he

:26:11. > :26:17.wrote. He fought with Valentina until the last laps. Fair play to

:26:17. > :26:24.him. He is struggling as well. You're fighting with Valentino

:26:24. > :26:33.Rossi on his home track. You can hear the support for Valentino. It

:26:33. > :26:38.has been a great race for him. Ducati had the pace here. Overall,

:26:38. > :26:43.I would say not such a bad weekend the Ducati. I would say they are

:26:43. > :26:48.probably coming back a little bit. Let's have a look at Jorge Lorenzo.

:26:48. > :26:52.We all marvelling at him. He not only had the consistency at the end,

:26:52. > :26:57.but he made some perfect passes as well. It is easy to make a mistake

:26:57. > :27:03.with the adrenalin rushing. The way he passes Lorenzo, he was so fast

:27:03. > :27:13.around the corner. Stoner. Yes, Stoner. You cannot tell how steep

:27:13. > :27:18.it is on the television. He was very good towards the end of the

:27:18. > :27:23.race. His pace was very quick. You could tell by the body language as

:27:23. > :27:31.well that he was confident. Today, Lorenzo is back. I think he was

:27:31. > :27:41.probably hungry from the Assen experience. I would say so. The

:27:41. > :27:52.

:27:52. > :28:01.No that opportunity for cases don't have to take women number 28. A tip

:28:01. > :28:08.for Germany. You are going to be on the grid, up 3. If yes, I think so.

:28:08. > :28:12.It is my favourite track. I got my best race in the Saxon rain in 2008.

:28:12. > :28:16.Banks were talking to us. We will see you in a couple of weeks.

:28:16. > :28:21.speaking to you. We will see you there in a couple

:28:21. > :28:25.of weeks' time as well, Sunday afternoon at 12.30 on BBC Two. In

:28:25. > :28:29.the meantime, press the red button to get more reaction from re-racked
