:00:43. > :00:47.After a three-week summer break, the MotoGP world championship

:00:47. > :00:56.returns, and what better place than right here at the most famous of

:00:56. > :01:06.motorsport venues, the Indianapolis Some riders have used the time of

:01:06. > :01:10.

:01:10. > :01:18.to relax. -- time off. Some to try And others to take the biggest

:01:18. > :01:25.decision of their grand prix career. My choice is because I try to

:01:25. > :01:35.understand which is the best bike, the most competitive by for the

:01:35. > :01:35.

:01:35. > :01:41.next two years, the last part of it. At this moment, I have to try to

:01:41. > :01:44.find and arrive happy at the racetrack. After two years with

:01:44. > :01:48.Ducati, Valentino Rossi is returning to Yamaha, music to the

:01:48. > :01:58.ears of his millions of fans around the world after a disastrous couple

:01:58. > :02:12.

:02:12. > :02:17.The Rossi-Yamaha tandem is one of the most successful partnerships in

:02:17. > :02:21.grand prix history. After winning three times with Honda, the

:02:21. > :02:25.maverick Italian famously switched allegiance to their fiercest rivals,

:02:25. > :02:29.becoming the first rider ever to win back-to-back races for two

:02:29. > :02:35.different manufactures and sealing the championship for the factory

:02:35. > :02:39.for the first time in over a decade. Another title follow the next

:02:39. > :02:45.season, and in some style, Henning Valentino Rossi the reputation as

:02:45. > :02:54.the goat, the greatest of all time, a title bestowed on him by team-

:02:54. > :02:58.mate Colin Edwards. Rossi is going to cross the line and win! He has

:02:58. > :03:03.done it again! Valentino Rossi is the world champion again! When

:03:03. > :03:07.Yamaha replaced Edwards with Jorge Lorenzo in 2008, the Spanish

:03:07. > :03:11.upstart proved to be far less compliant. There was genuine needle

:03:11. > :03:14.between the pair, separated by a controversial wall in the garage

:03:14. > :03:19.built at Rossi's request. The acrimony seemed to bring out the

:03:19. > :03:22.best in both, though, and having lost the title to Casey Stoner and

:03:22. > :03:26.Ducati in 2007, Rossi produced some of the best performances of his

:03:26. > :03:31.career to reclaim it and make a successful defence the following

:03:31. > :03:34.season. In 2010, the balance of power began to shift in the

:03:34. > :03:44.direction of Lorenzo, who started his campaign with two wins from the

:03:44. > :03:49.

:03:49. > :03:55.Big contact! How about that?! Trailing in the championship and

:03:55. > :03:59.under pressure to produce as the series came to his home and, a rare

:03:59. > :04:03.mistake left him with a broken leg, the beginning of the end of his

:04:04. > :04:08.reign at Yamaha. Lorenzo went on to take the title, and so Rossi

:04:08. > :04:12.decided to try the impossible once again, a dream switch to Ducati

:04:12. > :04:18.appeared to be an all-Italian match made in heaven, and only Casey

:04:18. > :04:23.Stoner had managed to tame the machine, but if anybody could, the

:04:23. > :04:28.greatest of all time could, right? Wrong. Two Poti has run two seasons

:04:28. > :04:32.represents a colossal and their achievement from both parties. --

:04:32. > :04:36.two podiums. Prove that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks,

:04:36. > :04:41.whatever the pedigree. We have not been able to do enough for

:04:41. > :04:46.Valentino. Any time he has been here, everybody has done as much as

:04:46. > :04:53.we are physically capable of doing, and I guess it got to a point where,

:04:53. > :04:58.with Valentino, where he felt that perhaps he could achieve more more

:04:58. > :05:01.quickly by returning to Yamaha. now he is heading back, not so much

:05:01. > :05:06.with his tail between his leg but with the bit between his teeth, and

:05:06. > :05:13.the difference is that this is no longer his back yard. This is

:05:13. > :05:19.Lorenzo's land. One of the more logical options for Yamaha was to

:05:19. > :05:25.take back Valentino, and for me, I think it is a big motivation to

:05:25. > :05:30.have him back. I've always liked to have the best riders in my garage,

:05:30. > :05:33.and Valentino is one of them. Yamaha, it is win-win. On one side

:05:33. > :05:37.of the garage, the fastest rider in the world, and on the other the

:05:37. > :05:41.fastest of all time, the man with the marketing port to rival anyone

:05:41. > :05:48.in world sport, and more importantly a hungry champion with

:05:48. > :05:54.a point to prove. For sure, the title is a dream, and it is also a

:05:54. > :06:00.target, but in my condition now, especially you have to understand

:06:00. > :06:05.if I am still a top rider, if I am still fasts, if I can fight for the

:06:05. > :06:10.front row, if I can still fight for the podium. As for Ducati, a season

:06:10. > :06:15.of consolidation beckons. Andrea Dovizioso looks certain design, and

:06:15. > :06:18.alongside Nicky Hayden he will offer consistency and important

:06:18. > :06:25.development input. But sponsors demand success in return for their

:06:25. > :06:30.investment, and the real challenge will be to provide it in 2014.

:06:30. > :06:34.Yeah, a big relief for Valentino's fans, you would imagine, but an

:06:34. > :06:39.embarrassment for Ducati, they are starting from scratch again. Yes,

:06:39. > :06:42.for Valentino and his team going away, the whole situation did not

:06:42. > :06:48.work out, the great marriage with Valentino and Ducati has not worked

:06:48. > :06:50.for them. I feel sorry for Ducati, because they have taken a big hit.

:06:50. > :06:54.Now Audi are involved, they will be embarrassed he is leaving as well.

:06:54. > :06:57.It is not looking good for these guys, but we wish them the best of

:06:57. > :07:01.luck, great to be in the championship. We could not do

:07:01. > :07:07.without them. Charlie, great to see those scenes of Valentino fighting

:07:07. > :07:10.with Jorge, an enticing prospect. You will forget Japan, swapping and

:07:10. > :07:15.swapping back? That was a grudge match, there were not even any

:07:15. > :07:18.points on the line. They have both got something on the line. Lorenzo

:07:18. > :07:24.wants to beat Rossi on the track, because the tiny one was when Rossi

:07:24. > :07:27.was out, and Rossi wants to prove there is life in the old dog yet.

:07:27. > :07:31.Cannot wait! That is the big news for the championship in general,

:07:31. > :07:35.but the main headline here today surrounds Casey Stoner, the

:07:35. > :07:43.Australian had a monster crash in qualifying and practice yesterday,

:07:43. > :07:48.a big high-side left him with fractures to his leg, ankle, torn

:07:48. > :07:52.ligaments in his ankle as well, get that right! He spent the evening,

:07:53. > :07:56.yesterday evening in Indianapolis Methodist Hospital, but he went out

:07:56. > :08:02.in the warm-up this morning, so let's get the latest on his

:08:02. > :08:06.condition. Reece-Edwards. We know that he went out and warmed up this

:08:06. > :08:10.morning, what is the latest for the race? The swelling is a lot reduced

:08:10. > :08:15.from last night, and we strapped him up in a slightly bigger boat on

:08:15. > :08:20.his right ankle, and he had a good session. He had a good time and

:08:20. > :08:24.felt a lot more comfortable. He is with the medical staff, they have

:08:24. > :08:28.assessed it, and he is going to race this afternoon, do the best

:08:28. > :08:33.job he can, and we wish him the best. What can you expect from the

:08:33. > :08:35.race? Will the pain hauled him back? He has not taken any extra

:08:35. > :08:40.painkillers, because there is strict regulation with drugs in

:08:40. > :08:44.sport, so we will see how it holds up. He is strapped into the boots

:08:44. > :08:47.pretty tight, they are well supported, but he will ride through

:08:47. > :08:51.the pain, that is what the warm-up was for this morning, to make sure

:08:51. > :08:55.he could safely operate the machine and he feels confident. He will be

:08:55. > :09:00.aiming for some good points, we will see what he can do. Good luck.

:09:00. > :09:03.Thanks a lot. Great news that Casey Stoner will be fit. If you are

:09:03. > :09:07.wandering about that dodgy moustache, it was the result of a

:09:07. > :09:11.failed bet with Ben Spies that he could lose 20 kilograms before

:09:11. > :09:15.Laguna Seca, he fell a couple of kilogram shot! I'm not sure about

:09:15. > :09:19.the dodgy moustache. Great news that he is fit to ride, even though

:09:19. > :09:23.he will be in some pain. I think is right for the championship, he is

:09:23. > :09:28.32 points behind, but if the got none today, the championship would

:09:28. > :09:32.be gone. The determination is there, he can still win. Jorge could

:09:32. > :09:36.injure himself, Dani could injure himself. There is a long way to go,

:09:36. > :09:40.and Casey Stoner is a tough nut. Once the lights go out, the

:09:40. > :09:44.adrenalin will kick in, and I predict top four. People question

:09:45. > :09:48.his commitment, Charlie, because he is retiring at the end of the

:09:48. > :09:53.season, but that proves that he is still the rider that we have grown

:09:53. > :10:03.to know and love over the years. is tough, he really does not give

:10:03. > :10:03.

:10:03. > :10:07.up, he does not care about the big scores, he just wants to win a race

:10:07. > :10:15.macro virus. He was OK in the warm- up, but the infield is really

:10:15. > :10:19.physical here. And it is a slippery track surface. It is weird, it is

:10:19. > :10:23.like sandpaper, it wears the tyres out but does not give any grip. The

:10:23. > :10:28.guys do not know when it is going to let go, we have seen from the

:10:28. > :10:31.big accidents. Casey was not the only victim. Hector Barbera on

:10:31. > :10:34.Friday morning gave early indication of just how bad they

:10:34. > :10:39.were. He had a big high-side himself, came down heavily on his

:10:39. > :10:45.neck, as you can see, and he has cracked three vertebrates. That is

:10:45. > :10:49.just 26 days after he broke his leg in a motocross accident, tough as

:10:49. > :10:53.goats meet, you said, but it just goes to show that all these guys

:10:53. > :10:57.are as hard as nails. He gave it a go, Toni Elias was the reserve

:10:57. > :11:02.rider, they did not think he would be able to ride, so he will really

:11:02. > :11:07.be regretting that, a few minutes into first practice. I do not think

:11:07. > :11:11.he hurt his like again, but doing his back, nightmare. It was not

:11:11. > :11:16.just Casey and Hector, the bad news for the crowd here at Indianapolis

:11:16. > :11:20.is that the home hero, Nicky Hayden, the Kentucky Kid from a few hours

:11:20. > :11:24.down the road, will not be racing because of this crash. Only a

:11:24. > :11:29.couple of broken bones in his hands, so nothing serious, but as you can

:11:29. > :11:33.take from those shots, he was not clean out. Very worrying for

:11:33. > :11:37.everyone watching, but particularly his family, who come here en masse

:11:37. > :11:42.every year. That was his sister and that showing understandable concern.

:11:42. > :11:47.I am told that the Sharma -- shock and drama of that was enough to

:11:47. > :11:51.send his other sister into labour as well! A real disappointment for

:11:51. > :11:55.the clan. All of the fans, he is only from three hours at the road,

:11:55. > :11:59.this is his home race track, and he broke the bones on the back of his

:11:59. > :12:03.hand, he would have ridden with that pain is the at not knocked

:12:03. > :12:08.himself out, and unfortunately you have got 48 hours before You are

:12:09. > :12:13.allowed back on a motorcycle. have just seen him at the back of

:12:13. > :12:18.the garage, can we just grab a quick word with him? He does not

:12:18. > :12:22.look too bad, he has obviously been knocked about. We are really sorry

:12:22. > :12:28.that you are not racing today, as I'm sure you are, how are you

:12:28. > :12:33.feeling? Yes, I feel OK, but to miss any race is tough, but to miss

:12:33. > :12:42.your home GP is really tough. But I feel OK, my hand is a bit sore, but

:12:42. > :12:47.mainly my hands, I do not have everything back yet. It is tough

:12:47. > :12:51.days in a race, but it was a bit of a heart on, so I am happy to be a

:12:51. > :12:56.cave. Hopefully these guys than put on a good race. Quick turnaround

:12:56. > :13:04.for Brno next week, will you be fit for that? We are talking about it

:13:04. > :13:09.now, there are two theories, some of them want me to get better, wait

:13:09. > :13:12.until Misano, but my hand is not displaced, so if I try to ride and

:13:12. > :13:17.move them, it could really jeopardise the rest of the season.

:13:17. > :13:22.If I wait, try to let it heal a week and come back fit for Misano,

:13:22. > :13:26.but I am a racer, I want to race. We will discuss it in the next 48

:13:26. > :13:31.hours and make a decision. You are a family of racers, and we believe

:13:31. > :13:35.there is a new edition. Yeah, that is right, my older sister was

:13:35. > :13:40.watching the qualifying, and it put her into labour, seeing me lying

:13:41. > :13:46.there, it made her nervous and raised the blood pressure, and we

:13:46. > :13:52.have another baby girl in the family. We have got a lot of races,

:13:52. > :13:58.it is time to start having some boys. Bills are good, but for

:13:58. > :14:02.MotoGP we need another boy! -- girls. Time to step up 4th of I was

:14:02. > :14:06.kind of holding off, letting Tommy and Jennie take care of things, but

:14:06. > :14:09.I might have to get involved and try to fire one and see what

:14:09. > :14:14.happens. Send your CVs and pictures into

:14:14. > :14:19.Ducati! Great stuff. The good news for Nicky Hayden and the whole

:14:19. > :14:22.family is not just about the baby, but we would get another day at

:14:22. > :14:26.here next day, because he has another contract with Ducati for

:14:26. > :14:29.next season. We do not know who will be replacing Valentino yet, we

:14:29. > :14:34.were hoping it would be Cal Crutchlow, but it seems that will

:14:34. > :14:38.not be the case. We spoke to him on Thursday, and he told us that his

:14:38. > :14:42.current team-mate, Andrea Dovizioso, is the man who is up for their ride.

:14:42. > :14:48.I'm not sure how reliable our news sources and the other side of the

:14:48. > :14:57.garage, but have you signed for Ducati? I at the moment, no, I

:14:57. > :15:05.still did not sign. Sure, at the moment all the big riders take the

:15:05. > :15:13.decision, so now is my moment! And we are really close, so we have

:15:13. > :15:21.just to decide, I think, this weekend or next weekend. But sure,

:15:21. > :15:31.I spoke with Ducati, the details, to understand the future, what they

:15:31. > :15:37.

:15:37. > :15:41.really want to do. Also, with Audi, We expect that deal to be done

:15:41. > :15:45.quite soon.. He thought he was in line so it has been a costly

:15:46. > :15:51.exercise, but it could be better on the Yamaha it's a great bike.

:15:51. > :15:58.has done negotiating with Tech 3. You can bet they are driving a hard

:15:58. > :16:03.bargain:we will know in calm of weeks. We hope so. We don't want to

:16:03. > :16:08.see Carl leave MotoGP. We know where most of the top boys will be

:16:08. > :16:13.next season, what about Ben Spies? He took the unusual step before the

:16:13. > :16:18.last race announces he would leave Yamaha before the team had a chance

:16:18. > :16:28.to make a statement. The rumour mill is in full flow as to his next

:16:28. > :16:55.

:16:55. > :17:01.It seems vaing for you to make an announcement like that without

:17:01. > :17:06.anything else lined up, what were your motives? It's a decision I

:17:06. > :17:11.made a while back, and just to, you know, get it off my chest and

:17:11. > :17:15.actually kind of open, open up doors for other people that are

:17:15. > :17:20.vying for spot. We are dying to know what you are going to do, what

:17:20. > :17:23.can you tell snus Right now, I don't know. There is not many

:17:24. > :17:30.things to add to the rumour, I haven't signed anything yet. I have

:17:30. > :17:34.a lot of options and I am weighing everything up. When I figure it out

:17:34. > :17:39.everyone will know. We have some good memories with Yamaha, with the

:17:39. > :17:44.Superbike championship, it has been great. But, I just can see it is

:17:44. > :17:49.not the path that needs to go in the next couple of years. Ben Spies

:17:49. > :17:56.had won in Holland. Heading across, can Stoner get close enough. That

:17:57. > :18:00.was close, Stoner has done it. don't believe it. 15Hunths of a

:18:00. > :18:05.second. Now the Rossi announcement has been made, people might think

:18:05. > :18:10.that was part of the reason you were leaving, can you clarify that?

:18:10. > :18:14.No, I, like I said I made my decision a long time ago, and my

:18:14. > :18:21.announcement was before, you know, we we were still talking with them

:18:21. > :18:25.and before he had signed anything, so, Yamaha never approached me and

:18:25. > :18:29.told me that was going to happen. I just did that and it didn't matter

:18:29. > :18:35.who was coming or doing what. seeing the way your season has gone,

:18:35. > :18:39.you can understand it a bit. Has this been your worst er season?

:18:39. > :18:44.sure, this decision I made wasn't just based on this season. It is

:18:44. > :18:48.something that I thought about. Even if we had a good season and

:18:48. > :18:53.been in the top three and won a couple more races, it is still

:18:53. > :18:56.something I knew a long time ago. One thing you have had to deal with

:18:56. > :19:02.is criticism from some aspects of the paddock about your mum. She has

:19:02. > :19:08.been a driving force, in, for you. Explain that relationship? Yes, I

:19:08. > :19:12.mean, for sure, my mom has, she has got more balls than most guys in

:19:12. > :19:16.this paddock does. That is what I admire about her. She, I wouldn't

:19:16. > :19:20.be here if it wasn't for her. She worked three jobs when I was a kid

:19:20. > :19:23.and got me into the race track. You know, she takes a lot of heat

:19:23. > :19:28.because she is a woman doing a man's job. There are plenty of

:19:28. > :19:32.riders their dad does the same thing, but they don't get a lot of

:19:32. > :19:36.flak for it, because they are a guy and that is what it is. When it is

:19:36. > :19:43.a woman, in a man's world. It is going to get criticised and that

:19:43. > :19:53.stuff. I sit back and laugh, and I kind of enjoy it when people get

:19:53. > :19:56.

:19:56. > :20:02.flustered up, it doesn't bug her, Well Ben will be a big loss to

:20:02. > :20:07.MotoGP if he does move on, as we expect. We are out on the grid. Ben

:20:07. > :20:11.lines up in fourth place. He might have nipped off for a quick toilet

:20:11. > :20:16.break. He lines up in fourth after a big crash yesterday. Big high

:20:16. > :20:22.side for Ben, similar to Nicky and Casey's crash. Bruises in his back

:20:22. > :20:28.and pelvis after this one, he joked on Twitter he will need ice in his

:20:28. > :20:32.vains after this one. Maybe he has -- veins. He is not on the grid yet.

:20:32. > :20:36.It takes a special breed to become a MotoGP racer. Bradley Smith makes

:20:36. > :20:41.a step up next season. You have to make sure that you are properly

:20:41. > :20:48.prepared, so we thought it was a good chance to send him off to

:20:48. > :20:57.Texas and get specialist training. Private Smith are youied for

:20:57. > :21:04.MotoGP? Sir, yes Sir. Can you pop a wheelie? Sir, yes Sir. Prove it!

:21:04. > :21:10.Give me a bull's-eye. Can you bounce back from injury? Run. Push

:21:10. > :21:19.it, push it. Circumstances yes, Sir. Do you need traction control?

:21:19. > :21:23.Sir. Where you going? Get in there. He has been pretty hard-core on me

:21:23. > :21:28.I have to say. Without doubt it has helped with everything I have been

:21:28. > :21:32.doing. We started off working on you know, standing up drill, not

:21:32. > :21:37.putting my feet down, learning throttle control, balance, then he

:21:37. > :21:42.put me through the press ups and the running and star jumps. Run.

:21:42. > :21:46.Get across that table. I have had the whip cracked on me but it has

:21:46. > :21:53.been a good few days. MotoGP is about finding that target and

:21:53. > :22:01.aiming for it. Right here, we are going to teach you... The killer

:22:01. > :22:05.instinct. Sir, yes Sir. Come on. Precision. It is amazing here,

:22:06. > :22:10.especially, you know, with the dirt track and sufficient stuff How much,

:22:10. > :22:16.I am a very upper body required, always seem to grab hold of the

:22:16. > :22:20.handle bars and do a lot of work from up top. One of the things the

:22:20. > :22:24.dirt track guys taught me it comes down legs and the middle of you.

:22:24. > :22:29.You can use both to get the same effect and a better effect without

:22:29. > :22:33.tiring one or the other. It is amazing still, at 21, and you know

:22:33. > :22:37.seven years in Grand Prixs you can still learn things like that, and

:22:37. > :22:40.without doubt, riding here, it is something I am going to plan to do

:22:40. > :22:44.in the winter time. Something I will continue to do next year,

:22:44. > :22:49.because all of this stuff is, it is looking for the small

:22:49. > :22:58.improvementers and I can still work on my riding style and weight

:22:58. > :23:07.balance, and MotoGP is going to need it P -- it. Private Smith,

:23:07. > :23:12.what are you doing on the ground? If you crash get back up and go, go,

:23:12. > :23:17.go. Yes Sergeant Edwards. I would like to look at what Steff has been

:23:17. > :23:23.doing, he is the focus point. -- Stefan Bradl. He has adapted. Top

:23:23. > :23:27.six, top eight is where he has finishing. I will be on a Yamaha

:23:27. > :23:31.and they have shown what that is capable of. And then it is down to

:23:31. > :23:38.me to learn during the winter test and see where I end up. But

:23:38. > :23:45.definitely from a few tips from Sergeant Colins is going to help me.

:23:45. > :23:50.Private Smith. You didn't do too bad. I think we might make a good

:23:50. > :23:55.GP -- MotoGP rider out of you. Thank you Sir. Now get the (BLEEP)

:23:55. > :24:00.out of here. Some fine all American training from an all American man.

:24:00. > :24:10.As you can see in fine All-American tradition, Colin and the rest of

:24:10. > :24:50.

:24:50. > :24:54.the circuit standing for the OK, great stuff. Let us get a quick

:24:54. > :24:58.word with Colin if we can, before he gets back on the bike there.

:24:58. > :25:03.Colin, always a proud day for you to ride in your home Grand Prix in

:25:03. > :25:06.front of this crowd. We saw some training that you have been giving

:25:06. > :25:12.Bradley Smith there. He look like he will made a good MotoGP rider,

:25:12. > :25:16.but you are not bad yourself, still going strong at 38. We had our own

:25:16. > :25:20.problems this weekend, all year I should say. Today is going to wait

:25:20. > :25:26.for the light to go out. I think we have something left in the gas tank.

:25:26. > :25:30.We need to dig deep and push hard, and the day I got my, the first

:25:30. > :25:35.time my wife has been on the grid in how many year, I have my good

:25:35. > :25:38.luck charm here. You couldn't have a better one. Thanks. Let us just

:25:39. > :25:43.introduce Colin's wife while we are here. I am sure you are very proud

:25:43. > :25:47.to see him still out here doing his thing. Of course, he is awesome,

:25:47. > :25:52.always. Great stuff. Are the kids here as well.. Yes, two of the

:25:52. > :25:55.three. We don't ever bring the third one. One is looking like he

:25:55. > :25:59.might be another MotoGP ride over the future. I said he is going to

:25:59. > :26:05.take his spot. He is a natural. might be going long enough. Have a

:26:05. > :26:11.good day today. Let's go. I want to quickly show you James Ellison on

:26:11. > :26:20.the grid. If only because his mum sent a Facebook me please show a

:26:20. > :26:27.shot of my James. There he is. -- message. Say hi to your mum James.

:26:27. > :26:35.There is another rider, James on the CRT bike, doing a good job of

:26:35. > :26:39.course for the Paul bird racing team. One man who has impressed is

:26:39. > :26:45.this guy, Yonny Hernandez. Let me see if I can get through here.

:26:45. > :26:51.Excuse me guys. Yonny from Colombia, of course, there you go, his

:26:51. > :26:55.Twitter handle if you want to follow him. You had ast place

:26:55. > :27:00.result at Laguna, your best grid, you are really improving with this

:27:00. > :27:05.bike right now. Yes, I am very happy with this, I want to get a

:27:05. > :27:12.good result, and I like the track. It's a difficult track. It, the

:27:12. > :27:17.bike, but I like it. We like to see you sliding the bike. Good luck to

:27:17. > :27:22.today -- today. Thank you. Key keep an eye on this guy from Colombia.

:27:22. > :27:26.Let us rattle through. As you can see people are clearing up the grid.

:27:26. > :27:33.Let us grab a quick word with Cal Crutchlow. We didn't get a chance

:27:33. > :27:41.to hear from him at the top of the show. One last gasp on the inhaler.

:27:41. > :27:46.Didn't know he was an asthmatic. Want to join in on that one. Cal,

:27:46. > :27:50.quickly, you have you have got a go faster haircut but how is the bike

:27:50. > :27:55.working round this circuit? Are you talking to me Matt? You have a go

:27:55. > :27:59.faster haircut, but how is the bike Go working? It has been a tough

:27:59. > :28:06.weekend so far, hopefully we will get away and do the best we can. I

:28:06. > :28:13.will tell you after the race! the best, thanks. All right. So Cal

:28:13. > :28:16.in seventh place. That is the only time he has failed to qualify on

:28:16. > :28:20.the front two rose apart from Silverstone when he had the big

:28:20. > :28:25.accident in practise, and had to start from the back. -- rows. Let

:28:25. > :28:30.us go this way, because I want to show you Casey Stoner, we wondered

:28:30. > :28:35.if he was going to make I we heard that he was, and here he is, on the

:28:35. > :28:39.second row in sixth place. The lowest Honda, sorry his lowest

:28:39. > :28:46.qualifying position since he joined Honda in 2011. Let us get off the

:28:46. > :28:50.grid now. As we go, I am going to grab Jeremy from Alpine Stars who

:28:50. > :28:55.have made a boot for Casey, you have had to make alterations

:28:55. > :29:00.because he has strapping on the ankle. Just kept the supports down

:29:00. > :29:06.the side but took a bit of gel out. His ankle is very strapped. We have

:29:06. > :29:12.movement. We want to make sure protection is place and give him

:29:12. > :29:16.volume in the boot. It is going to be a hard race. I hope he makes it.

:29:16. > :29:26.These boys are made of tough stuff I will be a tough race for Casey,

:29:26. > :29:30.

:29:30. > :29:34.and for Ben as well. It will be a Casey Stoner, Steve, in spite of

:29:34. > :29:38.the fact that he only did three laps and makes the second row of

:29:38. > :29:43.the grid. Shows how much vengeance he used for the tee off. Yes, he

:29:43. > :29:47.has some work to do today, but I predict he will. There is Cal

:29:47. > :29:56.Crutchlow on the third row of the grid. Some great rides by some of

:29:56. > :30:03.the CRT guys. I was going to refer to that. It would annoy Valentino

:30:03. > :30:08.that but he is behind Randy de Puniet. It shows points up, the

:30:08. > :30:11.turning in problems that vos is having. We saw him in qualifying.

:30:11. > :30:16.Couldn't get it turned in. They have been struggling with it.

:30:16. > :30:22.Strange surface round this track here, in fact that man there, lorn

:30:22. > :30:27.only got it nailed in the -- Jorge Lorenzo only got it right in the

:30:27. > :30:32.last session. The Mr Smoothie, butter and ham, he left the butter

:30:32. > :30:36.out today because he has the softer rear tyre on and stone tone there,

:30:36. > :30:46.he will be in a lot of pain, but he will be pleased to see those lights

:30:46. > :30:47.

:30:47. > :30:54.go out. When they do I think he the circuit is where he is

:30:54. > :30:59.struggling. He is will really annoyed Nicky Hayden. He has a two

:30:59. > :31:03.point lead over Valentino Rossi in the championship, 84 and 82,

:31:03. > :31:09.Batty's there is 81, so it could be really costly for him. -- parties

:31:09. > :31:14.that. And he has not failed to score points in any race this year.

:31:14. > :31:18.He said he will have a look at how his hand is, but I think he would

:31:18. > :31:24.have taken painkillers and race today if he had not had the

:31:24. > :31:28.concussion. It never stops you commentating, in fairness. I hope

:31:28. > :31:32.we have a look... That is a great shot, we are on the banking,

:31:32. > :31:37.because it is the great big oval that is Indianapolis, then the

:31:37. > :31:41.infield, and then we come back out again. Let's have a look at the

:31:41. > :31:47.pick-up, this is horrendous. This is where he says it is hard, you go

:31:47. > :31:52.left, right, change of direction, and when you lift up the right but,

:31:52. > :31:56.that is when he gets the pain, but I suspect he will have had pain-

:31:56. > :32:01.killing injections. You can see all the rubber on the track, incredible

:32:01. > :32:07.how much there is, and it is so slippery, whether you are in a car

:32:07. > :32:12.or on a motorcycle. We saw in the Moto3 race, crash is going on there.

:32:12. > :32:18.As soon as you go off line, it will be like a drying track, just a very

:32:18. > :32:23.narrow line, so passing will be difficult. Yes, it really does

:32:23. > :32:30.indeed overtaking. In turn one and down the back straight into turn 6,

:32:30. > :32:35.when we leave the banking, there is a shot of an extra line, but other

:32:35. > :32:39.than that it makes for processional racing, if we are not careful. You

:32:39. > :32:44.can see why Casey Stoner is keen to keep this ticking on, 32 points

:32:44. > :32:49.adrift of Lorenzo. As you said, Lorenzo struggled right up to

:32:49. > :32:55.qualifying, when he found some speed. It will be interesting to

:32:55. > :32:59.see how his lay hold up, have Dani gets off the line. Really heating

:32:59. > :33:04.up the carbon brakes, trying to get some temperature in there. Casey

:33:04. > :33:12.Stoner hangs back, as always, one of the last to come to the grid. He

:33:12. > :33:16.likes to keep his powder dry, T the temperature on his tyres. -- Keep.

:33:16. > :33:19.This will be a real test for the gritty Australian, the current

:33:19. > :33:24.world champion, and he would like to retire as champion, but he has

:33:24. > :33:29.got some work on. Not a bad looking crowd, they condense them on this

:33:29. > :33:33.part of the circuit, where the banking is, and then the infield.

:33:33. > :33:38.Hard rear tyre for Casey Stoner. This is going to be very exciting,

:33:38. > :33:44.tonnes to play for, the revs are at the Brickyard, we are ready to

:33:44. > :33:49.start, and it is good for Dani Pedrosa, as usual. Lorenzo goes

:33:49. > :33:58.with him, Ben Spies coming round the outside, how about that?! A bit

:33:58. > :34:03.of recovery from Dovizioso, who regained there. Ben Spies sneaks

:34:03. > :34:07.his home Grand Prix by turn two. went wide but managed to stay in

:34:07. > :34:12.front. Casey Stoner lost quite a bit of ground, Valentino Rossi

:34:12. > :34:19.right behind him. But the American, Ben Spies, leads into the barbie

:34:19. > :34:25.section, and look at the difference in the surface. Let's not forget,

:34:25. > :34:34.you are riding with Casey Stoner, he is behind Cal Crutchlow, so a

:34:34. > :34:40.stink are they start 4KC. Back to the front, Ben Spies... -- a

:34:40. > :34:48.stinker of a start for Casey. Ben Spies, Dani Pedrosa, have a look at

:34:48. > :34:52.that, Jorge Lorenzo back in 4th place. That was not a plan. Oh, no!

:34:52. > :34:58.I think that his frustration more than pain. You could see the

:34:58. > :35:06.marbles everywhere, it is a one Lane track. Ben Spies, we saw that

:35:07. > :35:10.big crash from him, 28 gruelling laps around this two-point five

:35:10. > :35:16.mile circuit, and he seems to be riding so much better since he

:35:16. > :35:21.announced his retirement, the retirement from the Yamaha team. He

:35:21. > :35:25.is absolutely on it, he has had one win in MotoGP in the past. Ice in

:35:25. > :35:29.his veins and on his shoulder. He had some shoulder damage in that

:35:29. > :35:36.crash yesterday, and he is uncertain how that will hold up for

:35:36. > :35:44.a race distance. The Honda is an absolute start in a straight line.

:35:44. > :35:48.Ben Spies holding this, has he got the pace? Looking good so far.

:35:48. > :35:54.what can he do? He is rumoured to be going to World Superbikes,

:35:54. > :36:01.someone else was talking about American racing, we heard from his

:36:01. > :36:07.mum, his manager as well, managers normally just want lots of money on

:36:08. > :36:11.the figures, but she wants him to be happy. Ben Spies in front are

:36:11. > :36:18.Dani Pedrosa by a tenth and a bit, Casey Stoner is clear of Cal

:36:18. > :36:24.Crutchlow. Another building a ride yet again from Stefan Bradl, a

:36:24. > :36:29.belting start. He is having a look, not close enough. Right behind him,

:36:29. > :36:33.Casey Stoner, he was tentative off the line, but I guess that is

:36:33. > :36:41.understandable. He has got the harder rear tyre, the last thing he

:36:41. > :36:45.needs is another accident. He has got some broken bones in his ankle.

:36:45. > :36:50.It is very swollen and very sore, and changing direction will be

:36:51. > :36:54.difficult. There will not be any team orders, I suggest, from Ben

:36:54. > :36:57.Spies to Jorge Lorenzo in third place, because he is not with the

:36:58. > :37:04.team any more or will not be at the end of the, so we will not be

:37:04. > :37:08.reprimanded. In fairness to him, Lorenzo has a pretty meaty lead in

:37:08. > :37:13.the championship, anything can happen. The Honda of Dani Pedrosa

:37:13. > :37:20.just probing for a way past. Anything can happen, but he is as

:37:20. > :37:27.comfortable as he can be, Lorenzo. Have a listen to this thing in

:37:27. > :37:33.scream and wail! This is out under the Banking, the banking is on the

:37:33. > :37:40.right, we go left. Look at the surface change, a big bump,

:37:40. > :37:43.hurtling into this part of the track which tears the tyres. The

:37:43. > :37:47.circuit, Formula One came here and around the opposite way round, so

:37:47. > :37:52.it does not get used a lot, and that is why it has taken a long

:37:52. > :37:56.time to get rid here, rather being laid down by the backs. The track

:37:56. > :37:59.came in more slowly than normal, because we had an enormous

:37:59. > :38:02.thunderstorm on Thursday before they took to the track, it washed

:38:03. > :38:07.it clean, and it took an extra session. There is so much debris on

:38:07. > :38:12.the track, their minds they have been three warm-up sessions and

:38:12. > :38:17.races before this one. -- bear in mind. It looks as though Dani

:38:17. > :38:26.Pedrosa, at least for the time being, is very comfortable.

:38:26. > :38:30.Times are excellent, 1:39.40 to, that is very fast for the second

:38:30. > :38:37.and third lap of his race. It would have qualified you on the second

:38:37. > :38:45.row, that is how fast it is. As they say here in Indianapolis, back

:38:45. > :38:50.across the strike we go. Look at that! Ben Spies around the outside,

:38:50. > :38:54.that is very firm, he is not taking no for an answer, but he has got to

:38:54. > :39:01.get it stopped before the right hander. Not close enough, Pedrosa,

:39:01. > :39:07.but he will have another go. 39.24, that has blasted the lap record of

:39:07. > :39:17.Casey Stoner. In fact, the top three have all broken the lap

:39:17. > :39:24.

:39:24. > :39:31.record. Lorenzo has got past having his best season ever this

:39:31. > :39:34.year, and he will be spearheading this team for next year. Ben Spies

:39:35. > :39:39.riding with an attitude we have not seen for a while. Remember

:39:39. > :39:45.Barcelona? He went so well there and then crashed when he was

:39:45. > :39:52.leading the race, let's hope it hangs together Today. Stoner has

:39:52. > :39:57.cleared Cal Crutchlow, next on his shopping list is Stefan Bradl.

:39:57. > :40:05.has just managed to Janice down the inside, could move, but a running

:40:05. > :40:08.white. -- Jan it down at the inside, good move, but running why. Alvaro

:40:08. > :40:12.Bautista will remember the hip and shoulder that he got at Mugello

:40:12. > :40:16.earlier this year when he shovelled his way past him. This guy is

:40:16. > :40:22.trying to do a bit of digging and shovelling himself. Listen to this

:40:22. > :40:28.green! Look at the speed of the Honda, the weight of Pedrosa, he

:40:28. > :40:32.has got to the insight. Once Dani Pedrosa gets in front with at speed

:40:32. > :40:37.down the straight, it is going to be hard for Ben Spies to stay in

:40:37. > :40:40.touch. He is good on the fiddly bits. That really helps him,

:40:40. > :40:47.because it is to the physical around here, a number of direction

:40:47. > :40:50.changes. Dani Pedrosa only weighs 51 telegrams! He is trying to put a

:40:50. > :40:58.bit of a glass and it, he knows he is going to be smoked down the

:40:58. > :41:02.straight. -- a bit of a gloss on it. Dani Pedrosa was a winner here in

:41:02. > :41:06.2010, finished second here last year. He will be pleased, in some

:41:06. > :41:12.ways, well, not pleased that his team-mate is injured, well, he

:41:12. > :41:22.might be, because Casey Stoner was going to be the man here. We have

:41:22. > :41:25.

:41:25. > :41:28.had three retirements so far, three Stefan Bradl, holding off the

:41:28. > :41:36.reigning world champion. Fair play to him, Alvaro Bautista is hanging

:41:36. > :41:40.on to the back as well, three Hondas in a way -- in a row. Cal

:41:40. > :41:45.Crutchlow is at the end of that pack, Steve. They are very much in

:41:45. > :41:50.touch. James Ellison is in 19th position. I do not know if he has

:41:50. > :41:55.had problems. I think he might have gone off the track, he got caught

:41:55. > :42:01.up with those early incidents, because he is back behind the wild-

:42:01. > :42:06.card rider, Erin Yates. Colin Edwards is 15th. Not much wrong

:42:06. > :42:11.with these words of the customer Honda bike, Casey Stoner giving it

:42:11. > :42:14.is thought to get down the inside. He was in the draft all the way,

:42:14. > :42:19.but he has still had to use a bit of muscle to get past. There's no

:42:19. > :42:25.way for Stefan Bradl to get past. He will not want to use too much

:42:25. > :42:29.tyre trying to work back after the point. No, but Casey Stoner has

:42:29. > :42:34.settled a bit, depending on how that right foot is. You can see the

:42:34. > :42:41.plain black boot, which is full of swelling at the moment. We are

:42:41. > :42:48.riding with Dani Pedrosa, second, in front of him. These beats are in

:42:48. > :42:54.miles per hour here, it being in America, 208 mph. -- the speeds.

:42:54. > :42:59.Dani Pedrosa are already starting to gap the two Yamahas. Look at

:42:59. > :43:04.that, Dani Pedrosa down the back straight, he has gone! Yes, and

:43:04. > :43:09.Lorenzo lapped faster than Ben Spies last time around on the other

:43:09. > :43:15.Yamaha, his team-mate, Jorge Lorenzo leads the championship. His

:43:15. > :43:22.last lap was half a second faster than Dani Pedrosa. Michel Pirro,

:43:22. > :43:28.the team-mate are Alvaro that he's there, -- Alvaro Bautista, he ran

:43:28. > :43:32.out of squirt, it is all over. That is tough for those guys. James

:43:32. > :43:39.Ellison there, we have got two wild cards here, I am sure we will see

:43:39. > :43:45.them as the race progresses. Dani Pedrosa has got a one-second lead

:43:45. > :43:55.over Ben Spies, who is just holding Lorenzo at bay. The battle for 4th

:43:55. > :43:56.

:43:56. > :44:00.place. Oh, no! He is coming off the racing line. His mother said he has

:44:00. > :44:05.got to get rid of the black cat that has been following him around!

:44:05. > :44:09.What else can go wrong? suspension collapsed at Laguna Seca,

:44:09. > :44:15.it is like he has a home race jinx. His countryman will not be pleased

:44:15. > :44:19.to say that. Nicky Hayden will be gutted. That is just... That is

:44:19. > :44:26.unheard of. They are so reliable normally falls of the Yamaha engine

:44:26. > :44:32.we have seen let go all year was Lorenzo's. That is just

:44:32. > :44:36.unbelievable bad luck, and there is oil on the track. I do not know if

:44:36. > :44:46.there is, there is a lot of smoke, but it is a precaution that they

:44:46. > :44:47.

:44:47. > :44:53.worried about. Well known that he has broken a piston or something.

:44:53. > :45:02.They will probably say it was an electrical failure! As I say, any

:45:02. > :45:12.oil should be captured. No, it is not, look at it on the track! A

:45:12. > :45:13.

:45:13. > :45:19.great big slalom of oil out of the the man in second place, Lorenzo.

:45:19. > :45:27.That is a meatty lap from him. It slaughters the lap time of stone

:45:27. > :45:32.refer last year. Held that record. He did get to the inside, as long

:45:32. > :45:35.as they don't apex too lightly they should be all right. Lucky going

:45:35. > :45:42.into this corner they runs, it is, I think they are OK, because I

:45:42. > :45:47.think he got it on the inside there. Now they are past it. Look at this

:45:47. > :45:54.Bradl is making Stoner work very hard, back in front of him. So

:45:54. > :45:58.Dovizioso holding third, then Bradl and Stoner in fifth. The worst part

:45:58. > :46:04.ability following a bike, a lot of the guys will have smelled that

:46:04. > :46:10.smoke and know if there is oil on the track. It is disconcerting.

:46:10. > :46:16.Dani Pedrosa who set that fastest lap was in front of him. He had no

:46:16. > :46:22.fear. Yeah, seeing everyone else checking their boots. Making sure

:46:22. > :46:27.it wasn't their bike. Lorenzo is in good touch. There is a bunch for a

:46:28. > :46:36.spot on the podium. We are only 21 left. Plenty of time for this to

:46:36. > :46:44.resolve. These two are clearing off. Spain versus Spain but Honda versus

:46:44. > :46:53.Yamaha. Lorenzo has gone for the softer option tyre. We saw Stoner

:46:53. > :46:59.going for the soft option and it worked for him. Dani Pedrosa is 2.2

:46:59. > :47:04.seconds advantage and lapping faster than Jorge Lorenzo. 21 laps

:47:04. > :47:09.remain. Fair to say Dovizioso is bunching the guys up, but he is

:47:09. > :47:13.riding an impeccable race. There is nothing wrong with that thing down

:47:13. > :47:20.the main straight. The Yamaha satellite bike hauling. Stoner

:47:20. > :47:28.can't make a move on Bradl. I think he lost ground in that oil. I think

:47:28. > :47:38.Casey Stoner, because he passed of course, the number six, Bradl so he

:47:38. > :47:43.

:47:43. > :47:48.was more cautious than Steff none Jet lag will be bad enough without

:47:48. > :47:58.any further injuries. This is a right old battle for third.

:47:58. > :48:05.

:48:05. > :48:10.Dovizioso through. Just, can Bradl ninth. To me it looks like stone,

:48:10. > :48:16.it is a matter of when he will pass Dovizioso. He has to get past Bradl.

:48:16. > :48:21.He has to regroup, resettle. Close that gap down. Even if he does, he

:48:21. > :48:25.is ten seconds down the road from Dani Pedrosa, so I think he is into

:48:25. > :48:29.damage control. I guess from his point of view, the best thing that

:48:29. > :48:33.can happen is Dani Pedrosa wins this. Jorge Lorenzo leads the

:48:33. > :48:37.Championship. It will actually damage limitation should I say, and

:48:37. > :48:41.if he, I predicted he could get fourth and I think he can. This is

:48:41. > :48:47.Casey Stoner I am talking about, who is currently in fifth position.

:48:47. > :48:53.The man who is going to Ducati next year, Dovizioso. There is the line

:48:53. > :48:59.of him. Stoner is in fourth. Behind him Bradl. Cal is on the back end

:48:59. > :49:05.of that stack. But the race leader is having his 2.4 seconds in front

:49:05. > :49:14.of Lorenzo. As I said, ten seconds ahead of Casey Stoner. Pedrosa is

:49:14. > :49:18.chucking in the fast laps. This is going on the an interesting game of

:49:18. > :49:25.cat-and-mouse. One thing we know about Lorenzo. Although he

:49:25. > :49:29.struggled to find form, oh no. Nightmare city, that is absolutely

:49:29. > :49:37.just what Cal doesn't want. He has chucked the bike down the road a

:49:37. > :49:45.couple of times on the weekend. I make that a hat-trick. At least he

:49:45. > :49:50.son... Just before, as he tipped it in. He folded the front. Now Randy

:49:50. > :49:54.de Puniet has retired. We have had Randy de Puniet out. This is a real

:49:54. > :49:57.race of attrition. Stone attorney back of Dovizioso, trying to take

:49:57. > :50:03.that third place away. Stoner getting on the podium would be

:50:03. > :50:11.something rather special, when we saw him cart off in an ambulance

:50:11. > :50:21.yet. If he stays on the bike it is likely he will get on the poedup. -

:50:21. > :50:32.

:50:32. > :50:39.Yamaha punches a hole in the air and Casey says "Thank you very

:50:39. > :50:47.much" or whatever Australian is for that. Have a look at that. Is

:50:47. > :50:57.Bautista working hard? He has got past Bradl so this is a battle for

:50:57. > :51:11.

:51:11. > :51:15.the pass. As you rightly said, punched a hole in the air. It is a

:51:15. > :51:18.factory Honda against a satellite Yamaha. It looked like it had the

:51:18. > :51:23.speed. It had the nice move on the inside. Jammed it down there. But

:51:23. > :51:26.Casey Stoner would have to be riding it 95%. He does not need to

:51:26. > :51:31.tumble. He said he was struggling through that first section there,

:51:31. > :51:39.turn, six, seven and eight. He is not struggling at the moment. His

:51:39. > :51:47.lap times are very good. Crutchlow has not rejoined this race. He is

:51:47. > :51:51.out. Did not get the thing going again. So, that is a real setback.

:51:51. > :51:57.Shortly he will be falling down into the laps of Bradl as far as

:51:57. > :52:00.points are concerned. Cal Crutchlow sits in fifth place with 106 points.

:52:00. > :52:06.But Dovizioso is clearing off. That has been the battle between the

:52:06. > :52:09.pair of them. This gap is stabilising. About three seconds

:52:09. > :52:16.between them. Lorenzo might be thinking I wasn't that happy with

:52:16. > :52:19.the set up. I might as well play a percentage game here. I will only

:52:19. > :52:25.increase my lead by four points even if Stoner finishes where he

:52:25. > :52:31.dufpltz it won't be too bad. There is Valentino Rossi being pursued by

:52:31. > :52:35.Yonny Hernandez, who Matt correctly made a big shout for going down the

:52:35. > :52:45.pit lane. Hernandez has been riding the wheels off that thing. He is in

:52:45. > :52:48.

:52:48. > :52:58.eighth. In front of Espargo. Yes. That is an FTR machine there.

:52:58. > :52:59.

:52:59. > :53:06.Kawasaki engine. He is lapping way over a second slower than the front

:53:06. > :53:10.guys. The new regulations for the CRT bikes have detractors but you

:53:10. > :53:15.have to say Kawasaki engine, there are a lot of extra manufacturers in

:53:15. > :53:18.here in one form or another we didn't have a year ago. Here is Ben

:53:18. > :53:21.Spies bike. That is horrible for the riders. You don't know whether

:53:21. > :53:27.there is oil on the track. You can't see a great deal. That is

:53:27. > :53:33.awful. Conditions, that is where Stoner lost a great deal of ground.

:53:33. > :53:38.There you can see on the left hand side Spies pulling off. A real

:53:38. > :53:45.nightmare for Ben Spies this season. Two mechanical failures in two

:53:45. > :53:51.races. That doesn't happen. It's a solid team. Engines let go but they

:53:51. > :53:58.run-up to mileage, they monitor the oil. They usually let go in rent ta

:53:58. > :54:01.cars not bikes like this. If he had any luck it would be bad. Black cat,

:54:01. > :54:07.ladders, whatever Ben Spies probably keen to get out of this

:54:07. > :54:11.Championship and get away. We know what a talent he S he has come back

:54:11. > :54:15.riding very well. Had horrible crash, dodgy races you could say

:54:15. > :54:21.where things hadn't happened but he hasn't forgotten how the ride.

:54:21. > :54:30.should have got the pole and he should have got a podium. What

:54:30. > :54:37.about this guy? Number 26. 26-year- old. 125 champion in 2003, 250

:54:37. > :54:41.champion in 04 - 05. Never won MotoGP. Best chance ever this year.

:54:41. > :54:47.It is almost a Stirling Moss thing going on. He runs the risk of being

:54:47. > :54:55.the best rider never to win a World Championship. Joined next year by

:54:55. > :55:00.Marquez, the UK man that won motor 2 today. He is looking like romping

:55:00. > :55:05.away with that Championship. will be a big responsibility for

:55:05. > :55:14.Pedrosa who will be seen as the lead rider for Honda. He has to

:55:14. > :55:18.step up to it. I think both he, Pedrosa, we look at, that leads the

:55:18. > :55:23.race by 3.1 seconds and Jorge Lorenzo, there he is on the screen

:55:23. > :55:27.right now, will be quite sur priced that Casey Stoner is going to come

:55:27. > :55:31.through to be running on the podium, and Casey wouldn't have known that,

:55:32. > :55:36.you never know as a rierbgsd you do your very best and have to see what

:55:36. > :55:42.happened. You don't know how much how much it is going to affect you

:55:42. > :55:46.until you start running. This is when it is going to start hurting.

:55:46. > :55:51.That looks like another mechanical engine problem. It is, Steve, a big

:55:51. > :55:56.fast straight, there are two of them, it is a tough, tough circuit

:55:56. > :56:03.on jins. Isn't it. It is, but they are designed for it. It is strange

:56:03. > :56:08.TCRTs are allowed 12 engines yeer as op posed to the factory machines

:56:08. > :56:18.and the satellite factory produced type ma seens which are only

:56:18. > :56:25.allowed six engines. From is an absolutely awesome facility as we

:56:25. > :56:33.say here, it has an 18 hole golf course. It is astonishing. This is

:56:33. > :56:37.the fiddly infield bit that takes them off the banking. They rejoin

:56:37. > :56:41.the banking twice on the hallowed bricks. There would be the

:56:41. > :56:45.championship points on the screen if they finished in this order.

:56:45. > :56:49.That would make Casey Stoner 36 points back. He is 32 back at the

:56:49. > :56:54.moment, you would have to say under the circumstances, seeing he had a

:56:54. > :56:59.crash like he did, that isn't too bad. The interesting thing it is

:56:59. > :57:03.only 18 points this man here, Pedrosa would be behind Jorge

:57:03. > :57:07.Lorenzo. Yeah, one crash from Lorenzo, for instance and the whole

:57:08. > :57:14.thing could stand on its ear. Poor old Cal. He feels the pressure, he

:57:14. > :57:18.has to press on. That is frustrating for him. Yes, that go

:57:18. > :57:23.faster haircut didn't work! It didn't give him the race result he

:57:23. > :57:26.was looking for. That banking does look treacherous, it is all right

:57:27. > :57:30.if you go straight over. If you accidentally and we have seen it

:57:30. > :57:34.happen before, drop a rear wheel off and not a front, that is deeply

:57:34. > :57:44.dangerous. It is approximately three inches high. We have seen

:57:44. > :57:52.

:57:53. > :57:56.riders run over the top. If you a motorbike. Last time round,

:57:56. > :58:01.Lorenzo lapped faster than Dani Pedrosa, but now he has kicked back

:58:01. > :58:05.in. Dani Pedrosa has kicked in a 39.2 so Jorge gave a push to see if

:58:05. > :58:10.he could close the gap down. Pedrosa has sponed to that and

:58:10. > :58:15.continued to stretch it out. There is number one Stoner in third place.

:58:15. > :58:20.He is lapping fractionally faster than Jorge Lorenzo. He is the man

:58:20. > :58:24.under a bit of pressure at the moment, as the gaps currently stand

:58:24. > :58:28.Pedrosa is secure, Lorenzo is secure. Stoner would like another

:58:28. > :58:34.second between him and that bunch of marauders behind him. At least

:58:34. > :58:41.that way he would be banking his 16 points and a berth on the podium.

:58:41. > :58:47.Then it is down to Dovizioso. A new fastest lap for Pedrosa. He has his

:58:47. > :58:55.head on. That is a response. That was a big response. He will see

:58:55. > :58:59.that stretched it out to 4.2. Lorn thought "I wish I hadn't bothered."

:58:59. > :59:07.Pedrosa fired in the fastest lap of this race, 13 laps remaining. That

:59:07. > :59:12.is incredible. Thereon that Honda screaming away! -- listen to that

:59:12. > :59:21.Honda screaming away. An amazing talent Dani Pedrosa. You only have

:59:21. > :59:27.to see him in real life, as such, to see how tiny he is and the way

:59:27. > :59:33.he mandhandles this machine. The way he really does throw himself

:59:33. > :59:38.round on the motorcycle. And can win a World Championship, I am

:59:38. > :59:43.convinced. He has to stay away from injuries. Touch wood he has had a

:59:43. > :59:48.good season. He hasn't damaged himself a great deal. As we saw, he

:59:48. > :59:55.cold end up here 18 points behind. We are round 11 of 18, so many mo

:59:55. > :59:58.races to go. We have straight away next weekend. The Czech Republic.

:59:58. > :00:02.One one of the features of Dani Pedrosa's career has been

:00:02. > :00:07.unfortunately when he has been hurt, it takes him a long time to come

:00:07. > :00:15.back. Remember when he had that coming together last year with

:00:16. > :00:24.Simoncelli, we lost him for races. Talking forever to get back. Karel

:00:24. > :00:29.Abraham is back. He is still struggling. He knows she shouldn't

:00:30. > :00:37.be behind spaing. You are right. A lot of people have been saying the

:00:37. > :00:47.CRT bikes are bub bishop but they are in front of Abraham, Ellie son.

:00:47. > :00:49.

:00:49. > :00:58.And one of them outqualifies cat, and then these days, what this,

:00:58. > :01:05.down into turn one, he dives up the inside as they flit into the inside.

:01:05. > :01:12.-- Ben Spies, watch this. He showed such purpose there. Another view

:01:12. > :01:17.back from Dani Pedrosa. Yes, there they are, so Ben Spies really did

:01:17. > :01:21.nail it off the line, straight past his team-mate, Jorge Lorenzo, who

:01:21. > :01:25.is a little bit cautious. But you are when you are leading the

:01:25. > :01:29.championship, you don't want to throw it away on the first corner.

:01:29. > :01:39.Very big commitment around the outside from Ben Spies. Dovizioso

:01:39. > :01:46.

:01:46. > :01:52.there. One false move and it is all over, we saw that any Moto3 race,

:01:52. > :01:58.straight down he went. That is the straight away, about half-a-mile

:01:58. > :02:06.long. They come out on to it at 40 mph, up to 210 before getting on

:02:06. > :02:13.the brakes again. Yes, the speeds are still very high, 209 at that

:02:13. > :02:19.time around, Dani Pedrosa, as the fuel load goes down. Poor Cal

:02:19. > :02:24.Crutchlow, he must be gutted. Obviously very disappointing, what

:02:24. > :02:29.happened. I had the same crash I have the other day, exactly the

:02:29. > :02:34.same corner, the hairpin. I tried to open the gas and I lost the

:02:34. > :02:38.front. We have been struggling all weekend. It was disappointing,

:02:38. > :02:43.because we seemed to be in not a bad battle, the pace seemed quite

:02:43. > :02:47.good. But disappointing, the first race we have not finished this year.

:02:47. > :02:55.Still, we can take some positives from the weekend. We were faster

:02:55. > :02:59.than last year. But we will go away, have a look at it and see where we

:02:59. > :03:04.will improve for next weekend. At least we do not have long to wait.

:03:04. > :03:09.Well, it can happen to anybody, as Dani Pedrosa just demonstrated.

:03:09. > :03:13.saw him having a big moment, missing a gear into the corner. He

:03:13. > :03:21.got onto the dirty stuff that we were speaking about. That has taken

:03:21. > :03:24.1.2 seconds off, that is how much he lost through that mistake. I do

:03:24. > :03:28.not know if Jorge Lorenzo would have seen that, but his pit board

:03:28. > :03:37.will have told them that he gained over a second on that last lap

:03:37. > :03:43.around. We would get a good indication as they go over the line.

:03:43. > :03:48.That is the gap. 1.2 seconds mistake, you are right, mate.

:03:48. > :03:52.still going to be a tough call to expect Lorenzo to be able to close

:03:52. > :03:57.that down. But really the Yamaha has not gelled this weekend. We

:03:57. > :04:01.talked a great deal about the Yamaha coming out of the truck, it

:04:01. > :04:06.always seems to work. Well, this weekend, particularly Jorge Lorenzo

:04:06. > :04:09.more than Ben Spies, he has had to work very hard. It was only the

:04:09. > :04:12.qualifying session when they managed to get a little bit more

:04:12. > :04:18.weight on the back of the back, transferred the weight, getting it

:04:18. > :04:24.to drive of the board better. Ben Spies and Jorge Lorenzo have

:04:24. > :04:32.totally different riding styles. Or they will not be so pleased that

:04:32. > :04:35.Dani Pedrosa has this kind of advantage. -- Jorge. Picking up Cal

:04:35. > :04:40.Crutchlow's point, a statesmanlike response to what had happened to

:04:40. > :04:46.him, but he made an interesting point. It is the crash he had in

:04:46. > :04:50.practice as well. Yes. Well, like you said, a hat-trick, three

:04:50. > :04:54.crashes, or similar situations for him. And it is all about getting

:04:54. > :04:58.the balance on the bike right. You think you have got it sorted out,

:04:58. > :05:04.but the difference in the race situation, you are going around and

:05:04. > :05:08.around, the fuel load is changing quite an awful lot, and often it is

:05:08. > :05:12.a compromise. You work out whether you want the bike good at the

:05:12. > :05:16.beginning, the middle or the end, and you work out where it will be

:05:16. > :05:20.best for you, your race strategy. Clearly not enough grip on the

:05:20. > :05:24.front end for Cal Crutchlow. Yeah, and what he will do, of course, is

:05:24. > :05:30.go back through the data and overlay each crash and see if there

:05:30. > :05:35.is any commonality, where he hit the brake. Yes, you look at the

:05:35. > :05:42.data, look at the corner speed, the brake pressure, the suspension

:05:42. > :05:47.travel. Number 46, Valentino Rossi, in 7th place. Yes, he is

:05:47. > :05:51.circulating basically about two seconds per lap slower than Dani

:05:51. > :05:57.Pedrosa and Lorenzo at the pointy end, which is a real cause for

:05:57. > :06:01.concern for him. But there is relief in sight. Well, there is.

:06:01. > :06:10.Everybody has been talking about nothing but Valentino Rossi going

:06:10. > :06:14.back to Yamaha. 41.7, 39.54 Lorenzo last time around. So he is in a

:06:14. > :06:19.whole. It is hard to keep your pecker and keep plugging away if

:06:19. > :06:24.you think it is going to chuck you into the scenery. It is bearing in

:06:24. > :06:28.mind that Yonny Hernandez has done a 42.6, less than one second behind

:06:28. > :06:32.the factory Ducati of Valentino Rossi, the nine-times world

:06:32. > :06:35.champion. Whatever you can say about that, I am sure Rossi has

:06:35. > :06:39.tried his hardest. I know that all the team worked extremely hard,

:06:39. > :06:45.trying to sort it out, and it has confounded them. They cannot

:06:45. > :06:50.believe that they cannot fix it. is in the toe, admittedly, but that

:06:50. > :06:56.is CRT against MotoGP. 20 kph. I was always good at passing down the

:06:56. > :07:02.straights. With more horsepower! Valentino Rossi, a lonely race, as

:07:02. > :07:11.he tends back to thread his way through the really complex series

:07:11. > :07:17.of turns that gets you back onto the pit straight. 16 fiddly corners,

:07:17. > :07:22.from 10 to 16. Stefan Bradl is having the best of the battle with

:07:22. > :07:27.Bautista. It is really gapping, and as we suspected would happen, Steve,

:07:27. > :07:34.we have seen is even in the normal support races, because the racing

:07:34. > :07:39.line is so narrow here, the passing opportunities are so fine, that it

:07:39. > :07:43.gaps the field a lot. Dovizioso has got the magnets on big time for

:07:43. > :07:48.Casey Stoner of Australia. Yes, he has, he can smell the injury, I

:07:48. > :07:53.think. The Stoner will be in a lot of pain, agony, trying to get the

:07:53. > :07:57.bite to change direction. You really files are from one side to

:07:57. > :08:02.the other, using your legs and ankles, which he has injured. --

:08:02. > :08:08.fire yourself. He will be smelling a podium. He can probably smell the

:08:08. > :08:13.liniment! A crack of a start from Ben Spies, but Dovizioso was really

:08:13. > :08:18.focused. Stone I got the squeeze and the inside, the defensive line,

:08:18. > :08:24.but it did not work. -- Stoner. knew our injured, you do not want

:08:24. > :08:28.to be sticking your neck out, you really just want to get the first

:08:28. > :08:32.lap out of the way. It is so easy to get tangled up like that. If he

:08:32. > :08:36.can stay on the podium, and he will do his best, Casey Stoner I am

:08:36. > :08:43.talking about, but it is going to the heart because Andrea Dovizioso

:08:43. > :08:47.is not injured, he has got everything to gain. -- it is going

:08:47. > :08:55.to be hard. He has still got another seven laps to close this

:08:55. > :09:01.bite down. -- bike. He has got some pressure, Steve, this is really

:09:01. > :09:05.getting tight. Last time across the line, he was three tenths behind,

:09:05. > :09:10.but that looks like our a tenth, he might be in front of him. Casey

:09:10. > :09:17.Stoner has got to yield. This is becoming more personal. A little

:09:17. > :09:21.wave of thanks from Dovizioso. Ben Spies, out of the race from the

:09:21. > :09:27.lead, your heart goes out to him, what can you say? You could not

:09:27. > :09:34.make it up, could you? What happened? I mean, you know, we had

:09:34. > :09:38.a good bite today. We got a good start. You know, we felt good the

:09:38. > :09:41.first couple of laps, when Dani Pedrosa came fast, he was going

:09:41. > :09:46.pretty quick, I could tell he was using a lot of rear tyre where I

:09:46. > :09:51.was not. I figured if I could keep him within three seconds, over 28

:09:51. > :09:55.laps I would have a good shot at the end. I remember the last two

:09:55. > :10:01.years, how he was fighting, but on the last lap I could feel the bike

:10:01. > :10:04.timing out, and then it just went on a straight away. I knew I had a

:10:04. > :10:10.little bit of a gap, so I quickly polls to the left, but I started

:10:10. > :10:16.slowing down. I just tried to get off the line and not endanger any

:10:16. > :10:22.money. I knew there was a lot of smoke, and then I got up on the

:10:22. > :10:28.curve and just rolled to a stop. Just another one of those weekends!

:10:28. > :10:35.We are all feeling for you, but luck. Yeah, I mean, now it is three

:10:35. > :10:40.problems we have had. It is an air of, pretty much, but I do not know

:10:40. > :10:45.what is a poor start -- it is an heard of. We put in a good race at

:10:45. > :10:50.Laguna Seca, we were a bit banged up here, but I gave it 100%, and I

:10:50. > :10:56.think somebody owes me a little bit of money now, that is for sure!

:10:56. > :11:00.you feel so bad for him, Steve, getting special Stars and Stripes

:11:00. > :11:05.led they just for the weekend. It is just heartbreaking. I can tell

:11:05. > :11:10.you as well, looking at the engine chart here, that was a pretty fresh

:11:10. > :11:15.engine. It had done a little bit of running, but it was his fourth

:11:15. > :11:19.engine and it was its first time out. We have seen them put out four

:11:19. > :11:24.races on some. There will be a big postmortem on that engine, they

:11:24. > :11:27.will strip it down. It could be an engineering problem, not

:11:27. > :11:30.manufactured to the correct tolerances. That is what they said

:11:30. > :11:36.about the suspension component that broker at Laguna Seca.

:11:36. > :11:46.Unfortunately, it was a manufacturing issue. That amazing

:11:46. > :11:50.

:11:50. > :11:55.practice three, qualifying and the warm-up, and one practice in

:11:55. > :11:58.Mugello a couple of races ago, very low mileage blow out. Casey Stoner

:11:58. > :12:04.is watching at the moment as Dovizioso is starting to put

:12:04. > :12:08.daylight between them. Yes, he he knows his capabilities, he knows

:12:08. > :12:11.what he is able to do, and he will be losing a great deal of ground in

:12:11. > :12:18.the twisty sections, making up a little bit in the straight away.

:12:18. > :12:23.His Honda should be faster, but Dovizioso will keep the pace up.

:12:23. > :12:26.Looking at Stoner's last lap, three tenths slower than Dovizioso. This

:12:26. > :12:36.is where starts hurting, the change of direction, jumping across the

:12:36. > :12:44.

:12:44. > :12:54.an indication of the change of surface there. This was where Casey

:12:54. > :12:57.

:12:57. > :13:06.reckoned was the hardest part for when he said it was the most

:13:06. > :13:12.difficult! Is contrary. -- he is contrary. 9 laps remaining, is the

:13:12. > :13:16.resting himself and then going for it in the last lap? A big points

:13:16. > :13:26.difference if he finishes in front after Rizzio so, 16 or 13 points,

:13:26. > :13:39.

:13:39. > :13:44.three valuable points at the end of the accident yesterday. Now he is

:13:44. > :13:49.close enough to make a run out of here, and he has got the speed, the

:13:49. > :13:53.whole being punched in the air by the Tech 3 Yamaha. Will he just

:13:53. > :14:00.stay behind? I think he might try to get as close as he can and see

:14:00. > :14:03.what he can do with one lap to go. I could watch that all day, it is

:14:03. > :14:09.fantastic, but you keep getting your knee down sitting in a chair

:14:09. > :14:12.here. He is very, very close through the part that you said you

:14:12. > :14:19.would least expect. He thought it would give him most of the trouble.

:14:19. > :14:24.And Dovizioso, the Yamaha clawing its way out of the corner very well,

:14:24. > :14:28.very effective corner exit. Back in front, this bloke does not have to

:14:28. > :14:33.worry, he has got 7.5 seconds back to the next man. He could do with

:14:33. > :14:37.another win, it would really put him in the hand, although he is

:14:37. > :14:41.second in the championship, it is Stoner and Lorenzo that have done

:14:41. > :14:46.the bulk of the winning. Yes, it's just one win for him at Sachsenring

:14:46. > :14:51.in Germany. He has been consistently solid, second and

:14:52. > :15:01.third, but 18 points would be the gap at the end of this if it

:15:02. > :15:11.

:15:11. > :15:21.money at that moment five laps ago, missing HPA going into the corner

:15:21. > :15:24.

:15:24. > :15:29.to be passed by Bradl and Valentino Rossi and by Bautista, in this

:15:29. > :15:33.Championship, sitting this out as he does. That is a painful and

:15:33. > :15:42.expensive thing for him. So he will have to fight back. We have a

:15:42. > :15:48.couple of wild cards here, that is bike 15. He was the guy who tried

:15:48. > :15:54.to qualify at Laguna and realised by the warm up he couldn't make the

:15:54. > :16:00.cut. Better performance here and we have got an old legend here as well,

:16:00. > :16:06.Aaron Yates who is on another bike here. A bright blue machine. I can

:16:06. > :16:10.tell you that bike there, number 15, Steve, is lapping four seconds

:16:10. > :16:14.slower than Jorge Lorenzo, yet Jorge Lorenzo has taken six or

:16:14. > :16:19.seven corners to get past. Because there is only one line. He doesn't

:16:19. > :16:25.want to chuck it down the road when he has several seconds lead over

:16:25. > :16:33.the man in third. He is not making friends with Jorge Lorenzo. Jorge

:16:33. > :16:37.will know he has a enormous gap, a ten second advantage. Pretty

:16:37. > :16:47.frustrating and it is annoying. No flashing your lights, no Blue Flags

:16:47. > :16:54.in America either. It's a bum rap for Lorenzo. He gets past though.

:16:54. > :16:59.Through he goes. Rap is in a race too. That was a very costly, in

:16:59. > :17:04.terms of time for Lorenzo, although as you say he has plenty of head

:17:04. > :17:11.room. There is no real pressure but as a rider, it is an anything to

:17:11. > :17:19.gets held up. Three seconds that lap cost him. In about seven

:17:19. > :17:23.corners. Yeah, OK. Hands held tightly for Lorenzo who will seed

:17:23. > :17:30.five.s in his lead but he will be OK about that. He will be more

:17:30. > :17:33.relieved to top up the gap a bit, over Casey Stoner. This will be a

:17:33. > :17:38.long two laps for Pedrosa. I am sure he will be tired and worn out,

:17:38. > :17:43.whether you are fit or not, there is the gap you can see. That is the

:17:43. > :17:51.2.5 seconds lost by Jorge Lorenzo last time round by being held up by

:17:51. > :18:01.the back marker. Preth is out. Pirro is out. Spies is out. --

:18:01. > :18:04.

:18:04. > :18:07.Petrucci is out. Nevertheless, a good race. What a great result this

:18:07. > :18:15.will be for Yonny Hernandez in tenth place. So that is a battle

:18:15. > :18:22.for the first of the CRTs. Espargaro has passed heroin disease

:18:22. > :18:28.for ninth. As Matt was saying at the top of the show, Yonny

:18:28. > :18:38.Hernandez is spectacular, to watch. The way he backs the bike into the

:18:38. > :18:50.

:18:50. > :18:54.Alberto is thinking "Keep it nice Dani." 16 corners and job done.

:18:55. > :18:59.Same for Jorge Lorenzo. And Dovizioso looks to have this done

:18:59. > :19:04.Steve, bike number four. Another, yet another podium for a Tech 3

:19:04. > :19:10.bike, in front of Casey Stoner. that gap, Dovizioso back to Stoner,

:19:10. > :19:13.is, you can see it there, it is about a second and, just under two

:19:13. > :19:19.seconds. Stoner won't be making that up in this time. I thought he

:19:19. > :19:26.could finish top four. It looked like a podium but clearly very

:19:26. > :19:30.uncomfort -- -- uncomfortable for him. No. When you have cracked

:19:30. > :19:39.bones, etc like that, as Colin Edwards looks over his shoulder he

:19:39. > :19:42.is about to be lapped. He is letting Dani through. Casey is just

:19:42. > :19:47.probably finding it is getting more uncomfortable. It is a long race

:19:47. > :19:53.and these guys are working hard. The only good news for Casey Stoner,

:19:53. > :19:59.if he is looking at the Championship is Pedrosa closing on

:19:59. > :20:04.Lorenzo. Any silly little thing, engine packing up, that engine

:20:04. > :20:08.could have been in Lorenzo's bike. There, there would be no

:20:08. > :20:15.favouritism. It is unfortunate for Ben Spies he was the one that got

:20:15. > :20:22.the dodgy motor. Indeed it was, but for Dani Pedrosa it is going to be

:20:22. > :20:27.job done, in Indianapolis. Nice one Dani. Did it from go to whoa. Pole

:20:27. > :20:31.position and won the race and fastest lap as well. I make that a

:20:32. > :20:37.hat-trick. Back across the line. Useful points. Clenched fist from

:20:37. > :20:41.Jorge Lorenzo. Damage limitation as you said, and then Dovizioso, nice

:20:41. > :20:44.work for Tech 3. Another podium and Casey Stoner consolation points for

:20:45. > :20:52.four. Absolutely, yes, that is the fifth podium for Dovizioso this

:20:52. > :20:55.season, he has been solid coming from Honda back to Yamaha. Nice one

:20:56. > :20:59.for Bradl. Couldn't see off Bautista who got if front but Bradl

:20:59. > :21:04.is in front of Valentino Rossi. Karel Abraham behind. Poor old

:21:04. > :21:07.Valentino Rossi. He wants this old wheelbarrow to go away and get

:21:07. > :21:12.something different. It is a credit to Valentino Rossi, still loves the

:21:12. > :21:17.sport. Signing another two-year deal. We saw him tat speedway, the

:21:17. > :21:23.Indy Mile, like a kid in a toy shop, enjoying motorcycles, at 33 being

:21:23. > :21:28.paid the money he is, he still is loving his sport. He loves

:21:28. > :21:34.motorcycles. It was a belting night. There is Karel Abraham. Yonny

:21:34. > :21:40.Hernandez, my hero! Yes. The CRT winner. That is a great result from

:21:40. > :21:46.him that. Bike when you look round it, it is not, it is kind of

:21:46. > :21:51.cobbled together machine. It has a terrific chassis. It has turned

:21:51. > :21:55.into a good package. We saw them testing it and they were nearly

:21:55. > :21:59.laughing. Credit to the team, they put a good bike together. As we

:21:59. > :22:05.chatted before about this Steve, these bikes are more mature, if you

:22:05. > :22:10.like, the MotoGP bike bus the CRT things with new chassis builder,

:22:10. > :22:19.new engines, trying different thing, they are on a vertical learning

:22:19. > :22:24.curve so they will close the gap. We saw Jorge there, pleased to

:22:24. > :22:28.finish second. He won't be pleased about that ten second advantage

:22:28. > :22:36.Dani Pedrosa has over him. He will be pleased about the 20 points he's

:22:36. > :22:43.got. Won, second, wins in France, wins in Cataluna, in the UK, second

:22:43. > :22:47.in Germany. Wins in Italy, but Mugello, second in US and another

:22:47. > :22:56.second here, that is some Championship. It is very consistent.

:22:56. > :23:00.Points win prizes and he very much in the hunt. So 225 for Lorenzo.

:23:01. > :23:06.Anything is possible and as you said, it puts pressure on Lorenzo,

:23:06. > :23:11.who will feel understandably the need to respond. Dani Pedrosa never

:23:11. > :23:14.taken a title. Stoner, well he started sixth, with a three lap

:23:14. > :23:20.qualifying session, which is all he managed before he crashed. So six

:23:20. > :23:30.to four if that is a banker. think it S top four with damage

:23:30. > :23:40.

:23:40. > :23:44.limitation u but Dani Pedrosa. needs a hot bath, Casey Stoner, he

:23:44. > :23:49.will be very very sore. But credit to him, we said at the top of the

:23:49. > :23:54.show, proves his commitment to Honda, pro-s he really would love

:23:55. > :24:01.to retire with that number one plate. And proof here that Tech 3

:24:01. > :24:10.can knock out a pretty useful motorcycle as well. Podium for

:24:10. > :24:16.Dovizioso. He is fourth in the Championship now, by a pretty comfy

:24:16. > :24:20.margin. He has won 37 points and Cal is down in 106 points, so Cal

:24:20. > :24:24.was in front of him before his team-mate. Dovizioso opened it out

:24:24. > :24:29.a bit. Crutchlow is more than 30 points behind Dovizioso now, that

:24:29. > :24:35.is a big call. It S he was having a solid season point wise. He got

:24:35. > :24:38.virtually the best points in this Championship, up until now we have

:24:38. > :24:44.had from any British rider. Cal Crutchlow will be cross with all

:24:44. > :24:50.that. Casey will need lifting off the bike. That hurt, didn't it. I

:24:50. > :24:57.guess the painkillers wear off after a bit. Sterling performance

:24:57. > :25:02.by him. Sensible performance from him. As we discussed before, Steve,

:25:02. > :25:08.Lorenzo was seventh fastest by the third free practise session, he was

:25:08. > :25:18.so lost. He has put it together. You can't believe someone in that

:25:18. > :25:19.

:25:19. > :25:25.much pain could Rize ride a motorcycle. -- could ride a

:25:25. > :25:30.motorcycle. Torn ligaments and fractures. And hugely bruised all

:25:30. > :25:35.over. Makes you think next time you say ouch for hitting yourself wa

:25:35. > :25:39.hammer. Next time people say traction control sorts that out.

:25:39. > :25:42.The riders don't have to ride them. They do, I can promise you. Dani

:25:42. > :25:47.Pedrosa this is indication, it is much more than the point, it is so

:25:47. > :25:57.much it's a second win, so in the winner's club now. Not just the one

:25:57. > :26:07.

:26:07. > :26:15.he had in Germany there is your the leaderboard. You could have to

:26:15. > :26:24.be happy with that. -- you would have to be happy with that. Rap is

:26:24. > :26:28.in the points. Just the one but he goes in the record books. That was

:26:28. > :26:34.Yates's first MotoGP race at the age of 38. Never the Les he got it

:26:34. > :26:36.and done it. He is not the only one. and done it. He is not the only one.

:26:36. > :26:42.Dani Pedrosa really did it. Congratulations, second win of the

:26:42. > :26:48.season, and really had the pace all weekend. Yes, I think it was a very

:26:48. > :26:54.good race for us, the bike was working perfectly. We were spinning

:26:54. > :26:59.all the week, but when everybody is spinning, then I Amor comfortable

:26:59. > :27:03.so I had a good place in the race, very pleased with that, just had a

:27:03. > :27:07.small mistake in turn two, almost went out of the track, so I was

:27:07. > :27:13.lucky to stay on track and get back in the rhythm. So thanks to the

:27:13. > :27:17.team. So happy with this win. points behind now, congratulations.

:27:17. > :27:23.Thank you. Let us go back to to that moment he had. That was a

:27:23. > :27:29.monster. Really really big moment. He came close to going out on the

:27:29. > :27:34.grass. He did lose 1.5 seconds on that. In Jorge Lorenzo had been

:27:34. > :27:39.closer to him he probably would have homed in on him. He was able

:27:39. > :27:43.to regroup and got his pace back. And indeed, Lorenzo struggled there

:27:43. > :27:47.is a great view. How is that for a golf course. Lovely stuff. If you

:27:47. > :27:53.get board with the racing you can have a whack round the back nine.

:27:53. > :27:59.It is extraordinary here. It is amazing. It really is. It really

:27:59. > :28:04.really is. And an enormous circuit. So, spare a thought for Nicky

:28:04. > :28:08.Hayden, spare a huge thought for Ben Spies. All dressed up and it

:28:08. > :28:11.didn't happen. You couldn't predict this buddy. You couldn't. What

:28:11. > :28:15.desperate disappointment for the home fans for Ben Spies and Nicky

:28:15. > :28:20.Hayden but a massive win for Dani Pedrosa. Two wins from three races

:28:20. > :28:26.now, for the Spaniard. He is the man in form with seven races to go,

:28:26. > :28:31.we are out of time now on BBC Two, to catch the thoughts of the other
