:02:28. > :02:32.Jell-O and the Italian grand prix. Such a unique place, a unique

:02:32. > :02:39.atmosphere. Welcome to my Jell-O in the hills of Tuscany for round five

:02:39. > :02:46.of the MotoGP. Any moment now the riders will emerge to a cacophony of

:02:46. > :02:51.sound and colour. It is a big weekend but especially for this man,

:02:51. > :02:57.Valentino Rossi. Everyone is out to support him. None of them have lost

:02:58. > :03:02.their belief. He is a seven times the dirt of his home race. These

:03:02. > :03:07.hills are packed with people who still believe that he can get back

:03:07. > :03:17.to the top and once again we will see those fantastic post race

:03:17. > :03:18.

:03:19. > :03:23.celebrations. Who could forget Snow White and the seven dwarfs, or at

:03:23. > :03:29.the speeding ticket. There have been some classic celebrations over the

:03:29. > :03:39.years. These are the guys who make it happen, the official fan club for

:03:39. > :04:03.

:04:03. > :04:13.Valentino Rossi. What has been your There has been some classics from

:04:13. > :04:31.

:04:31. > :04:41.the very beginning. How do you celebration on the race day. Do you

:04:41. > :04:55.

:04:55. > :05:05.Valentino Rossi to win, you want to see what these guys have got planned

:05:05. > :05:11.

:05:12. > :05:16.on race day. Good luck. It looks like a slim chance at the

:05:16. > :05:23.moment at best unfortunately. The man at the top are in such great

:05:23. > :05:29.form. He has got Jorge Lorenzo to content width and also Dani

:05:29. > :05:34.Pedrosa. And now Cal Crutchlow is ahead of him in fourth place in the

:05:34. > :05:43.championship thanks to that second place two weeks ago. Brilliant

:05:43. > :05:50.stuff. Dani Pedrosa now leads the championship from his team-mate,

:05:50. > :05:56.Mark Marquez. Plenty of time to go yet this season. So far it has not

:05:56. > :06:06.gone to plan for Valentino Rossi. His personal manager is here.

:06:06. > :06:13.Fantastic results but now seventh on the grid. He is struggling with this

:06:13. > :06:19.new qualification system. And also he is not very quick getting the

:06:19. > :06:24.hard lap times in this short session. It has been a bit of this.

:06:24. > :06:29.But I think that the pace is not so bad. He improved a bit during the

:06:30. > :06:39.warm up. Lorenzo is very fast, I do not know if he will be able to

:06:39. > :06:48.follow. We will see what happens. is his track and we want him to be

:06:48. > :06:52.up there. Is this a make or break weekend for him? I do not think so.

:06:53. > :06:57.I think he is trying to recover. In the last two years I think that the

:06:57. > :07:02.riding style and the technology has developed a lot. Then he lost a

:07:02. > :07:09.couple of years and he has two recover not just his writing style

:07:09. > :07:14.adapting to these new bikes and electronics. I thought it would have

:07:14. > :07:19.been three or four races but perhaps it is a longer process. He needs a

:07:19. > :07:26.bit more training. Now let us hope that he gets there, for everybody.

:07:26. > :07:30.You have been working on a project also with Suzuki. Looking ahead to

:07:30. > :07:35.perhaps coming back into the championship. What can you tell us?

:07:35. > :07:40.For the moment we're working on testing sessions, a testing campaign

:07:40. > :07:46.for this year. They are thinking about taking a decision about

:07:47. > :07:54.whether to come back in 2014 or not. We have done some test rides last

:07:54. > :07:59.week. We will test in Barcelona which will be interesting to compare

:07:59. > :08:03.and to try to judge or potential. Then we're thinking about doing

:08:03. > :08:09.other sessions in Europe. It would be interesting to understand the

:08:09. > :08:17.potential of the bike. And see if there is much of a gap. And then

:08:17. > :08:24.keep working on that. Cal Crutchlow is looking for a factory ride, would

:08:24. > :08:32.he be a possibility? Now if we do decide to come back in 24 team, you

:08:32. > :08:39.have to go with Cal Crutchlow. He can do better than 40 is doing. He

:08:39. > :08:44.is doing very well. And of course I would seriously consider him. We

:08:44. > :08:52.look forward to that and let's hope so. Let's see what happens then next

:08:52. > :08:57.year. But Cal Crutchlow had a fractured tibia. It has been another

:08:57. > :09:01.bruising weekend for him so far. There was a crash in qualifying

:09:01. > :09:09.yesterday that he still managed to bounce back in the second row of the

:09:09. > :09:13.grid. Disappointing with the crash but still a great result. Yes, I am

:09:13. > :09:20.pleased. We had a better session. We are still chopping between two

:09:20. > :09:25.bikes. One long and one short. One has got no rear grip but is more

:09:25. > :09:32.stable on the braking. The short bike is nervous. But we're still

:09:32. > :09:39.trying to work out something in between. It is difficult. The crash

:09:39. > :09:46.was completely my own fault. My eyes were watering with hayfever. Then I

:09:46. > :09:50.had no vision at all. I hit the curb on the inside. I think we have not

:09:50. > :09:57.been going so bad all weekend. I do not really get on with this circuit.

:09:57. > :10:03.It is a great circuit. Experienced dollars pay here. We have not tested

:10:03. > :10:09.as the other guys have over the years. It is one of those circuit,

:10:09. > :10:12.you learn the tricks of the trade. But overall I'm happy if I finish in

:10:12. > :10:19.the top five tomorrow. Another excellent performance in

:10:19. > :10:27.qualifying. Just missing out on the front row. Just making our way

:10:27. > :10:33.through here. He has got plenty of support here this weekend not least

:10:33. > :10:40.from his training partner. You might recognise him. A very special guest.

:10:40. > :10:49.Your first time at a MotoGP event. What do you make of it? I love it.

:10:49. > :10:59.was bouncing this morning. Just after the first practice. We might

:10:59. > :11:00.

:11:00. > :11:05.do a job swap! That would be great! I do not think I could do this

:11:05. > :11:14.accent -- macro actually. What do you make of the speed? It is

:11:14. > :11:19.incredible, how fast they are and how controlled it is. Seeing this,

:11:20. > :11:26.it is a different level again. A lot more track racing, it is different

:11:26. > :11:33.to road racing. And to know that your mate is doing it it gives you a

:11:33. > :11:40.vested interest. I'm over the moon and enjoying myself. Really great to

:11:40. > :11:48.see him here. Funny how quickly he backtracked out of actually riding

:11:48. > :11:54.one of the bikes! It is great to see Cal Crutchlow on form. What he

:11:54. > :12:01.really wants to do now is delivered here. He is so on form. He crashed

:12:01. > :12:09.in qualifying, no problem. He gets back, turned around, jumps on the

:12:09. > :12:15.short bike. Brilliant. He is so tough. They need to let him take

:12:15. > :12:20.some hayfever tablets, he is not allowed to. It is ridiculous. It is

:12:20. > :12:26.illegal for riding. But I think it is more danger is not being able to

:12:26. > :12:30.see where you are going. This is more a Yamaha track down the

:12:30. > :12:36.circuits so far this season. incredible start. But Yamaha have

:12:36. > :12:42.just won three of the past 16 races and are really struggling. It has

:12:42. > :12:50.got a lot to do with Dani Pedrosa as well. They have now sorted out the

:12:50. > :12:55.handling of the Honda. Dani Pedrosa 16 of the last eight raises last

:12:55. > :13:02.year and two out of third this year. He is on a roll. That is helping

:13:03. > :13:09.Honda a lot. Valentina is fifth in the championship. His first season

:13:09. > :13:16.with two catti, he is in exactly the same spot. And after four races in

:13:16. > :13:23.2012, here he is again. Sadly it is not really happening. The crash did

:13:23. > :13:28.not help the points situation. But the old magic is back. Valentina is

:13:28. > :13:34.slow in the last sector. There is a correlation, that is where he broke

:13:34. > :13:39.his leg. And unfortunately it is not coming back. We hope that it will

:13:39. > :13:48.because he is paramount to this championship. Every time he gets out

:13:48. > :13:52.there in qualifying, Dovizioso is in front of him. That is the last thing

:13:52. > :13:59.he wants. It has been a bruising weekend so far for Cal Crutchlow but

:13:59. > :14:04.even more so for Bradley Smith who came off yesterday morning. And this

:14:04. > :14:09.was a big one. It was massive. had his hand trapped under the bike.

:14:09. > :14:17.The gloves gave him protection. He was trapped underneath, that was

:14:17. > :14:27.this morning in the warmup. But he has taken the edge off his finger

:14:27. > :14:30.

:14:30. > :14:36.unfortunately. He is so beaten up. You could tell that he had a bad

:14:36. > :14:43.finger. He did not cross the line for a lap. We saw him struggling to

:14:43. > :14:49.get his gloves on. I think he is going to go and get a skin graft

:14:49. > :14:54.tomorrow. Marc Marquez also had a crash. This is the first. Free

:14:54. > :15:03.practice on Friday morning. But that was nothing to what was to come in

:15:03. > :15:08.the afternoon. A crash in every single session. He crashes doing 175

:15:08. > :15:18.miles an hour. It was horrendous and he was lucky to get away from the

:15:18. > :15:25.wall. The airbag went off. In the practice session in the morning and

:15:25. > :15:35.the second day, he had to bail out again. He has got a sore shoulder

:15:35. > :15:48.

:15:48. > :15:56.and actually hit his other about consistency. 20 points of

:15:57. > :16:05.impact. You will have to get one of those when you come out of the pub,

:16:05. > :16:13.Charlie! The whole performance of Marquez reminds you of Lorenzo in

:16:13. > :16:17.his early years. Looks like the guys are coming out onto the grid. Dani

:16:17. > :16:23.Pedrosa behind us on pole position. It came unexpectedly at the end of

:16:23. > :16:29.qualifying. Jorge Lorenzo was probably the most surprised? No he

:16:29. > :16:36.mugged him, absolutely. He was seventh in qualifying and he finally

:16:36. > :16:43.found a gap and nailed it and stuck it on pole position. With all of the

:16:43. > :16:53.confusion, who cropped up there on the front row macro? Decathlete. --

:16:53. > :16:53.

:16:53. > :16:58.front row. Some signs of recovery, perhaps, for a Ducati. They have had

:16:58. > :17:02.a disastrous couple of years with Valentino Rossi. At the end of last

:17:02. > :17:12.season they had a complete restructuring. And also a complete

:17:12. > :17:35.

:17:35. > :17:41.It is for me very hard to really say and George what was the lack of

:17:41. > :17:44.success in the past. -- and George. There were certain optimum

:17:44. > :17:54.coincidences which have happened in the last two years, where there was,

:17:54. > :18:03.of course, way too much pressure on the team. The pressure was immense.

:18:03. > :18:13.It was sometimes too much pressure. It can create a negative. Andrei

:18:13. > :18:14.

:18:14. > :18:19.Dovizioso was brought in to replace Valentino Rossi. We had the first

:18:19. > :18:23.testing in early January. We were over two seconds off the pace.

:18:23. > :18:33.was a little bit of a shock. On that track the bike did not work very

:18:33. > :18:35.

:18:35. > :18:43.well. We bought some new parts. We got it down to one second. Now we

:18:43. > :18:50.like to be the leaders. We are normally, five, six, seven tenths of

:18:50. > :18:56.a second off the pole position. Concerns about the bike had been

:18:56. > :19:04.voiced by Casey Stoner since 2007. Ducati probably did not realise how

:19:04. > :19:09.much the writer was affected. Everybody was saying, it works. Why

:19:09. > :19:19.does the other rider have so much problems? It was a little bit, let's

:19:19. > :19:20.

:19:20. > :19:24.say, the rider was overshadowing the deficiencies of the bike. Everybody

:19:24. > :19:34.knows that Casey was really special. His writing style was special. He

:19:34. > :19:52.

:19:52. > :19:56.about the bike? Top five finishes suggested signs of recovery. Well,

:19:56. > :20:06.the rain helped us. Let's not kid ourselves. We know the bike works

:20:06. > :20:07.

:20:07. > :20:12.well in the rain. I do think some things are coming to us. The bike is

:20:12. > :20:19.still the same. Sometimes working, for example, in the wet. We have

:20:19. > :20:26.really good traction. The negative points becomes smaller. In normal

:20:26. > :20:36.conditions, we are still too far. is nice to see our red bike leading

:20:36. > :20:39.

:20:39. > :20:49.and leading for some time. I don't think this bike is competitive to

:20:49. > :20:49.

:20:49. > :20:55.fight for the victory. We can do nothing. We have two pull the bike

:20:55. > :21:00.in one part of the corner. This is difficult. Especially because Yamaha

:21:00. > :21:10.are on top. And the riders are really good. We have to do something

:21:10. > :21:11.

:21:11. > :21:18.about it. It is difficult. The test driver... Ducati's new

:21:18. > :21:23.approach is long-term. The goal will be that we will be able to fight for

:21:23. > :21:31.a win in the next year. Hopefully we should improve so much that we could

:21:31. > :21:35.even challenge for the championship in 2015. That is the goal.

:21:35. > :21:42.Lets hope they make that goal. It would be great to see these bikes

:21:42. > :21:46.challenging once again. Excuse me, I've managed to get myself in a

:21:46. > :21:56.tight spot. Let's see if we can grab a word with Nikki. How are you

:21:56. > :22:01.feeling? Yeah, I feel OK. It is a track I love. It is a race I love. I

:22:01. > :22:05.expected to have better pace this weekend. Last year we struggled. The

:22:05. > :22:14.track I don't think has been at its best. A lot of rain. Cooler

:22:14. > :22:19.conditions. Racing in Mugello is all some. I just want to get in at that

:22:19. > :22:24.front group, hang in there and put up a good fight. You have a good

:22:24. > :22:28.chance to stick it out on the straight? Yet, for sure. If you can

:22:28. > :22:34.stay with the group and let them throw you around, it can help you a

:22:34. > :22:38.lot. We cannot just count on that. We have to get a really good start.

:22:38. > :22:47.The first couple of corners will be important. To get clean and not get

:22:47. > :22:54.racing with someone. That is a good session for the Ducati. No Ben Spies

:22:54. > :22:59.today. I am here with Andrea Iannone. He

:23:00. > :23:06.has won twice year. This is the home track for Ducati. It is the test

:23:06. > :23:12.track. They have ridden here quite a lot. Do you expect the bike to go

:23:12. > :23:22.better here? Yes. On this track yesterday I had some problems with

:23:22. > :23:22.

:23:22. > :23:32.my bike. After the practice, my team and people at Ducati worked to set

:23:32. > :23:36.

:23:36. > :23:42.it up for today. This morning it is better. I think it is possible to do

:23:42. > :23:47.well. You know this track. The atmosphere here. How special is it

:23:47. > :23:53.to come here as a MotoGP rider for the first time? Yes, it is very

:23:53. > :24:03.emotional. This is the Italian track. It is my home. Last year I

:24:03. > :24:03.

:24:03. > :24:09.won on this track. The people our fantastic. Always beautiful. I know

:24:09. > :24:16.the Italians don't like good luck so I won't say good luck.

:24:16. > :24:22.Just with Bradley Smith. A little bit late for a chat. One of his

:24:22. > :24:27.personal managers there. He had to help him put his helmet on because

:24:27. > :24:37.his hands are so sore. I said there was only one other Ducati on the

:24:37. > :24:41.

:24:41. > :24:45.grid. That is not true. It is very much an experimental bike. Lots of

:24:45. > :24:55.things can change. They are trying to get data and find something they

:24:55. > :25:00.

:25:00. > :25:07.can build on for next year. Let's see if we can find Paolo Latini. --

:25:07. > :25:17.Paolo Latini. He is alongside Cal Crutchlow. Have a look at Cal

:25:17. > :25:18.

:25:18. > :25:23.instead. There is Cal just getting a laugh -- last little pep talk from

:25:23. > :25:30.his team manager. I have managed to find Paolo. Great to see you. Is

:25:30. > :25:38.this your first time? My first race, yes. It is electric, man.

:25:38. > :25:47.Unbelievable. Unbelievable. You are a big fan. Do you watch it on the

:25:47. > :25:53.telly? My dad is a massive fan. He has got me into it. Lets get your

:25:53. > :26:01.dad in as well. A long-time fan of MotoGP. You must be buzzing? This is

:26:01. > :26:11.a dream for me. Never seen anything like this. Enjoy the day today.

:26:11. > :26:15.

:26:15. > :26:25.Thanks, guys. Mugello is a very special race. There are not too many

:26:25. > :26:36.

:26:36. > :26:46.better places in the world to watch Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, Andrea

:26:46. > :26:56.

:26:56. > :26:59.Dovizioso. This is it. Take away, Charlie, Steve. Ciao! Actually

:26:59. > :27:08.coming he is quite annoying at times when he is just down the corridor

:27:08. > :27:17.from you! Bad weather was forecast. It has not come to pass.

:27:17. > :27:25.Near-perfect conditions. Absolutely. So the last of the support crew

:27:25. > :27:33.leave the grid. One quick recheck. Pedrosa just getting Lorenzo. That

:27:33. > :27:38.was so tight. Dovizioso on the front row. Stunning. How close was Cal

:27:38. > :27:48.Crutchlow not to get on the front Crutchlow not to get on the front

:27:48. > :28:10.

:28:10. > :28:16.very well this weekend. He has. A brand-new chassis. They have done a

:28:16. > :28:23.really good job. Ryan Staring had his birthday yesterday. We know that

:28:23. > :28:30.Valentino has a good race pace. He has to get through turn one. If he

:28:30. > :28:34.can get around turn one, the bottom of the hill, the big problem always

:28:35. > :28:39.is, it's just a kilometre along the straight, it is about half a

:28:39. > :28:43.kilometre from the start line. Apart from in Texas, where they have a

:28:43. > :28:53.chance to practice on the straight line, here they don't get that

:28:53. > :28:55.

:28:55. > :29:00.chance. It is a real gamble what you can do. Interesting, Steve, as well.

:29:00. > :29:06.Cal has been here a couple of times. It is still a very hard circuit to

:29:06. > :29:09.learn. Very difficult indeed. So much to it. Learning to stop into

:29:09. > :29:14.turn one of the start line is another thing that he will be

:29:14. > :29:24.scratching his head about. This is the stop. It is the biggest stop we

:29:24. > :29:25.

:29:25. > :29:30.have. That stopped down into the first turn, it is 1.6 G's. It is 325

:29:30. > :29:40.metres it takes to slow yourself down. 215 mph is. That takes about

:29:40. > :29:41.

:29:41. > :29:46.six sections. -- seconds. You are slowing from 215 to 70 mph. That is

:29:46. > :29:53.a big stop. This circuit has got some wonderful elevation changes.

:29:53. > :30:02.76,000 people here. We have seen more but there is a recession.

:30:02. > :30:07.is Bradley Smith's corner. He has had two crashes. The second one this

:30:07. > :30:17.morning, he had not crossed the stripe to get a time. Arrabbiata

:30:17. > :30:30.

:30:30. > :30:34.two, that is. A whole series of had two crashes. The second one this

:30:34. > :30:40.morning, he I have crashed so many times around here. There are a lot

:30:40. > :30:47.of drop away corners. And then we swing back around the bottom

:30:47. > :30:55.corner. Back-up through the far chicane. That is where Valentino

:30:55. > :31:02.Rossi broke his leg. Then back up to fourth gear. A lot of second gear

:31:02. > :31:08.corners around the circuit. And that last turn is a downhill slingshot.

:31:08. > :31:15.It opens out at the end. No wonder it is fast. They are literally

:31:15. > :31:20.catapulted onto it. There is a bit of a hump and the front wheel comes

:31:21. > :31:30.up into the air. That is why Ducati put the wings on their bike two

:31:31. > :31:32.

:31:32. > :31:41.years ago. Dani Pedrosa is starting on polls. It is easy for riders to

:31:41. > :31:48.overpower into the first turn. They are all running with the soft rear

:31:48. > :31:54.tyre and the harder option on the front. This is the Italian grand

:31:54. > :32:03.prix. I cannot wait for this. We are ready for the start. A good start

:32:03. > :32:13.from Dani Pedrosa. Carol Crutchlow with a big lunch down the inside.

:32:13. > :32:23.Into the first turn. Marquez on the outside and there was almost contact

:32:23. > :32:27.

:32:27. > :32:36.there. Where did he come from this Mac Valentino Rossi has been tagged.

:32:36. > :32:42.That is of Arab artist. They got tangled up there. What a nightmare.

:32:42. > :32:47.Unreal. Valentino Rossi did not actually get a great start and that

:32:47. > :32:57.unfortunately has ended it all. What about that move that we sought from

:32:57. > :32:58.

:32:58. > :33:05.Jorge Lorenzo? Thank goodness for the airbags. That suit fully

:33:05. > :33:13.inflated. Let us hope he was not injured. They do pick up a lot of

:33:13. > :33:18.speed. It looked as though he just got tagged by Alvaro Bautista. This

:33:18. > :33:28.is exactly what Lorenzo needs because he can get a good smooth

:33:28. > :33:29.

:33:29. > :33:39.pace going. He did get completely tagged. I do not know if he hurt his

:33:39. > :33:49.leg. We need to see that one more time. We are back in the front.

:33:49. > :33:51.

:33:51. > :34:01.laps. That is the view that Carol Crutchlow has of Dovizioso. He is

:34:01. > :34:01.

:34:01. > :34:58.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 57 seconds

:34:58. > :35:08.trying to carry some speed. And around we go. Crutchlow racing

:35:08. > :35:37.

:35:37. > :35:40.against his team-mate from last certainly. He is having a lunch.

:35:40. > :35:50.Lorenzo has got the optimum time if he can close the door. He just about

:35:50. > :35:55.

:35:55. > :36:02.doors. Pedrosa is having a big think about that. Marquez sets the fastest

:36:02. > :36:06.lap. Riding with Mark is now. An important point was that Dani

:36:06. > :36:12.Pedrosa almost got past. There is nothing wrong with the worst power

:36:12. > :36:18.of the Yamaha. I agree. Jorge Lorenzo will have to keep the clear

:36:18. > :36:23.air in front of him. You have to get out of turn 15, try to get a bit of

:36:23. > :36:33.an advantage and you saw how good and how late the Yamaha was on the

:36:33. > :36:33.

:36:33. > :37:43.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 57 seconds

:37:43. > :37:47.brakes. The Honda has a good package also. He has got himself hooked onto

:37:47. > :37:50.the back of Dani Pedrosa. You could not bet against him not winning. I

:37:50. > :38:00.thought he would really struggle this weekend. Valentino Rossi comes

:38:00. > :38:05.back. The whole of the 76,000 people are mortified. Everybody will leave.

:38:05. > :38:12.We will get out of the car park. Rossi was quite confident yesterday.

:38:12. > :38:16.He said he knew he had a better race pace than qualifying pace. As we

:38:16. > :38:20.heard before the race, he always struggles to come to terms with

:38:20. > :38:30.these new superfast qualifying sessions. We have been spoiled here.

:38:30. > :38:43.

:38:43. > :38:49.We haven't been spoiled, in fact. Rossi did not get an exceptionally

:38:49. > :38:56.good start. That is one of the problems. Another variable we have

:38:56. > :39:03.got is 93, Marquez. I didn't see him coming! The variable is Marquez. He

:39:03. > :39:13.must be black and blue. He could get sore and tired. Pedrosa chasing

:39:13. > :39:51.

:39:51. > :39:55.Lorenzo. Just about to get up to 215 mph. He has got the inside line.

:39:55. > :40:02.What Pedrosa has got to do is get further along side. It will depend

:40:02. > :40:05.on the grip on the tyres. Clearly at the moment, Jorge Lorenzo, he has

:40:06. > :40:09.got to have the grip on the tyres to be able to punch it out of those

:40:10. > :40:14.corners. Bridgestone have come up with a slightly different tyre this

:40:14. > :40:24.weekend. They have gone for the softer rear option. It has got a

:40:24. > :40:26.

:40:26. > :40:30.heap restrictor on it. It stops as much heat getting through. It is

:40:30. > :40:36.extraordinary. It is worth explaining, Steve, it is not only

:40:36. > :40:46.lean angle and driving out of corners. The centre of the targets

:40:46. > :40:46.

:40:47. > :40:56.extremely hot over that distance. You have got 240 horsepower. The

:40:57. > :40:59.

:40:59. > :41:08.faster it gets, the harder it becomes. The LCR on the crosses the

:41:08. > :41:13.line. 18 laps remaining. -- thunder. Bradl is into fifth from where he

:41:13. > :41:22.started. It goes to your point about the Ducati having speed but not

:41:22. > :41:28.durability. That is what they have been constantly trying to work with.

:41:28. > :41:34.He will be hiding, I think. I don't think it was his fault. He is saying

:41:34. > :41:40.that Rossi stood up on him. We will have a few different angles. Either

:41:40. > :41:46.way, it was a high-speed impact. We are lucky they are both walking.

:41:46. > :41:56.crowd will certainly blame him. yes, he will need to start

:41:56. > :42:00.

:42:00. > :42:03.tunnelling now! It is a question of whether Marquez gets more

:42:03. > :42:13.uncomfortable as the race goes on, with the number of injuries he is

:42:13. > :42:31.

:42:31. > :42:35.carrying. Espargaro in eighth place, really concentrating here. He is

:42:35. > :42:37.trying to get a better, straight drive on the straight to see a

:42:38. > :42:40.better, straight drive on the straight juicy see if he can

:42:40. > :42:48.dispatch Lorenzo. A little bit deeper that time. Maybe he can carry

:42:48. > :42:53.more speed that way. Lorenzo is incredibly fast around that corner.

:42:53. > :42:58.A pretty good effort. Still not close enough. He has got it covered

:42:58. > :43:04.off in case Marquez has a sniff. Dani Pedrosa is thinking flat out

:43:04. > :43:14.how to get past Lorenzo and how to defend from his team-mate. He has

:43:14. > :43:17.

:43:17. > :43:27.been mauled by Marquez before, as we know. Crutchlow, his last lap was

:43:27. > :43:59.

:43:59. > :44:09.almost the looks like they have closed him down again. As a writer,

:44:09. > :44:23.

:44:24. > :44:33.clean air is more pleasant to be riding in but not the fastest. It is

:44:34. > :44:35.

:44:35. > :44:45.quite interesting, talking about Yamaha signing up. I think they

:44:45. > :44:46.

:44:46. > :44:52.should be looking at this lad. Espargaro Osman brother is actually

:44:52. > :44:59.not quite himself at the moment. We shall see. This Yamaha rider has got

:44:59. > :45:08.a lot on his plate. Chased by Danny Pedrosa. It is a terrible

:45:08. > :45:16.predicament. When you're doing everything you can, you cannot

:45:16. > :45:21.afford to make mistakes. You just have two keep nailing lap after lap.

:45:21. > :45:29.And if someone is faster than you down the straight it wears you down.

:45:29. > :45:34.This is what we were expecting. We know how fast Jorge Lorenzo is, how

:45:34. > :45:44.consistent. Let us take another close look. There is the situation.

:45:44. > :45:52.

:45:52. > :45:56.Valentino Rossi being circled. It looked to me like Alvaro Bautista.

:45:56. > :46:00.It was two people trying for the same piece of line, basically.

:46:00. > :46:10.Valentino got a better run out on the previous left. There will be a

:46:10. > :46:11.

:46:11. > :46:20.stand-off. There will be a little chat! I would put a blanket over my

:46:20. > :46:29.head when I am driving out tonight, if I was Bautista. Valentino was

:46:29. > :46:36.further up. On the outside of the track. That was the trouble. Anyway,

:46:36. > :46:41.the main thing is they are both OK. That could have been a real problem

:46:41. > :46:44.for one person or the other. It could have been deeply unpleasant.

:46:44. > :46:54.Valentino was fired into the fence pretty hard. But did a pretty good

:46:54. > :47:00.

:47:00. > :47:10.job as well. Bradley Smith, talk about the walking wounded, he is

:47:10. > :47:13.

:47:13. > :47:23.ten. Man. . Dani Pedrosa has set the fastest lap of the race. He has been

:47:23. > :47:24.

:47:24. > :47:29.the fastest guy on the circuit. Andrea Iannone is carrying injury.

:47:29. > :47:33.Not from this weekend. He carries a portfolio of injuries within most of

:47:33. > :47:40.the time. He is recovering from surgery for this and that. He is

:47:40. > :47:49.getting quicker all the time. Followed by Randy De Puniet. Pirro

:47:49. > :47:55.on the bike that should really be the test bike. Basically, it is an

:47:55. > :47:59.experimental machine. They keep messing around with chassis is and

:47:59. > :48:04.all kinds of things, trying to work out how they can get one of these

:48:04. > :48:10.factory machines to last the race distance. That is all to do with

:48:10. > :48:15.tyre grip, suspension, weight distribution. When you can work out

:48:15. > :48:25.exactly what you want, which is what hand and Yamaha fan, you have a

:48:25. > :48:31.competitive bike. -- Honda. front guys are doing 48.3. Dovizioso

:48:31. > :48:34.Hayden are doing 49.2. That is the difference. When you think that

:48:34. > :48:38.Dovizioso most certainly was able to get on the front row of the great

:48:38. > :48:43.and now qualify, it shows the point you are making. How the Times open

:48:43. > :48:52.up once the race gets underway. They cannot keep the pick -- the quick

:48:52. > :49:01.pace. The tyres get worn and probably lose their optimum grip. It

:49:01. > :49:09.is also about the fuel load. Suspension changes. You cannot have

:49:09. > :49:15.it constant all the way through. All of these things happen. These things

:49:15. > :49:22.happen indeed. What happened with Alvaro? Valentino coming back to the

:49:22. > :49:30.box very angry. What is your view of what happened? In that corner, I

:49:30. > :49:37.just took the left corner inside. I found Valentino's bike. We crashed.

:49:37. > :49:45.I did not see nothing. When I went to enter the other corner, I felt

:49:45. > :49:51.Valentino's bike. I fall down. luck.

:49:51. > :49:53.Yes, there will be an investigation. It will probably finish up as a

:49:53. > :49:59.racing incident. He would not have seen anything of the Valentino's

:49:59. > :50:04.bike. Valentino went for the inside. It looks to me like they were pretty

:50:04. > :50:09.much side-by-side. If he could have gone further in front, Bautista

:50:09. > :50:19.would have seen him. But whatever happens, it will not be Valentino's

:50:19. > :50:20.

:50:20. > :50:28.fault in Mugello. No. Of that there is no doubt. The first signs of a

:50:28. > :50:38.tiny gap opening up between Dani Pedrosa and Marquez. The tiniest

:50:38. > :50:44.

:50:44. > :50:48.amount. We are riding with Lorenzo. This camera is sensational. I know a

:50:48. > :50:55.rider has got to become audible. But it looks like you could take half an

:50:55. > :51:04.inch out of the waste of those leathers. Fashion tips from Steve,

:51:04. > :51:10.who would have thought it? ! Lorenzo again doing a stupendous job. Dani

:51:10. > :51:16.Pedrosa has an issue. If he makes wild lunge to pass, there will be a

:51:16. > :51:24.certain Mr Marquez. If he goes wide, he has to think about that

:51:24. > :51:31.situation. Pedrosa leads Marquez in the championship by six points.

:51:31. > :51:41.Lorenzo is back on 66 points. He needs to win. He knows he needs to

:51:41. > :51:51.win. Yaman knows -- Yaman know he needs to win. We have heard

:51:51. > :51:56.Lorenzo's side of the story. Very disappointing. What has he said

:51:56. > :52:01.about the crash? I have not spoken to him yet. He had a lot of people

:52:01. > :52:11.around him. Obviously they came together between turn to and turn

:52:11. > :52:11.

:52:11. > :52:19.three. Where do you think the fault lies? I have no idea.Very

:52:19. > :52:29.disappointing. Bad luck. That was Jeremy Burgess, Rossi's

:52:29. > :52:29.

:52:29. > :52:32.crew chief. Marvellous blokey is, too. Always the diplomat. It will

:52:32. > :52:42.never be resolved. It was two motorbikes looking for the best

:52:42. > :52:42.

:52:42. > :53:39.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 57 seconds

:53:39. > :53:48.piece of tarmac. Huge Lorenzo has got half a second over

:53:48. > :53:53.Dani Pedrosa. We were just at the halfway distance. -- we are.

:53:53. > :54:03.Lorenzo's lap times have been consistent. He is still about seven

:54:03. > :54:06.kilometres slower than the straight. I'm sure that Marc Marquez, he

:54:06. > :54:11.almost certainly will be having a go before the end of this race. How

:54:12. > :54:17.does he do it? He comes here. He doesn't know the track. Second

:54:17. > :54:22.session out, he pummels himself. And he is all beaten up. He has a

:54:22. > :54:32.bandage on his chin. His shoulder is strapped up. Apart from qualifying,

:54:32. > :54:34.

:54:34. > :54:37.Pedrosa might suddenly be riding out of grip. We know that Lorenzo is Mr

:54:37. > :54:45.consistency. Let's not forget that Lorenzo has won here in the last two

:54:45. > :54:53.years. He is no slouch. Two years ago when he won, it was being led by

:54:53. > :54:58.Casey Stoner. He ran out of tyres. Have a look at the line that Pedrosa

:54:58. > :55:08.is trying to ride and not holding. And Marquez is. It is a tired

:55:08. > :55:09.

:55:09. > :55:13.circuit. And we know, looking at Marc Marquez's style, he uses his

:55:13. > :55:23.body weight more. That is the breather. It would be such a sigh of

:55:23. > :55:29.

:55:29. > :55:35.relief. Lets watch them across the strike. 47.929. He is 1.2 seconds in

:55:35. > :55:42.front of Dani Pedrosa. Pedrosa has slowed. Lorenzo has increased the

:55:42. > :55:47.pace simultaneously. Where did he find that? He realised he had a

:55:47. > :55:52.little bit of a lead. Took a deep breath, Dublin. Jorge Lorenzo,

:55:52. > :55:56.wonderful performance. I reckon that 93, Marc Marquez, the young

:55:56. > :56:05.pretender, the rookie, was soon passed any patrols. He looks like he

:56:05. > :56:11.is being held up. 47.9. Pole position was 47.1. That is a big

:56:11. > :56:19.lap. Only ten laps remaining. All of a sudden, the Renzo has put the

:56:19. > :56:28.hammer down. The difficulty is, it looks to me like Dani Pedrosa has a

:56:28. > :56:33.few problems. The big problem that Marc Marquez has is that he has to

:56:33. > :56:43.make such a clean move past. He cannot afford to bundle up the

:56:43. > :56:50.inside of him. Look at that. Running really wide there. Just get it

:56:50. > :56:54.pulled back in time. He is really in trouble. Is he tired? I don't know.

:56:54. > :56:58.At the moment it looks like tyres. They have all gone for the softer

:56:58. > :57:05.option rear tyre because they felt they did not have the initial grip

:57:05. > :57:11.early on. Marc Marquez looks to be in a position now to pass. Do you

:57:11. > :57:21.remember in Austin, Texas? Marquez got past Pedrosa when Pedrosa had

:57:21. > :57:22.

:57:22. > :57:32.issues with his arm. You can understand why Marc Marquez... Real

:57:32. > :57:33.

:57:33. > :57:39.problems there. He is struggling. And bike number 93 can sense it. I

:57:40. > :57:49.am wondering if it is a tiredness problem. He was not hugely late on

:57:49. > :57:56.the brakes. He did not break much later than 93. It has got to be a

:57:56. > :58:02.break issue or a physical issue. Marquez all over the back. Lorenzo

:58:02. > :58:07.took a second out of patrols on the last lap. Nine laps remaining. He is

:58:07. > :58:12.still slower than the straight. can see the rear grip issue that

:58:12. > :58:20.Pedrosa has. Sometimes the tyre wears more if you are physically

:58:20. > :58:30.worn out as well. You are trying to load up the tire. Look again.

:58:30. > :58:39.

:58:39. > :58:49.Michele Pirro making a move on SPARC for him, simply the fact that Dani

:58:49. > :58:57.

:58:57. > :59:05.Pedrosa has some issues. Look at that. I think he consents were

:59:05. > :59:07.Marquez is. The big problem is that Dani Pedrosa is pretty fast out of

:59:07. > :59:14.the final corner. Marc Marquez is having to use all of the slipstream

:59:14. > :59:20.just to catch up. This is not much fun for the locals, three Spaniards

:59:21. > :59:26.fighting over the rostrum. No. And the young pretender in third

:59:26. > :59:36.position. Marc Marquez, having already won one of the grand prix is

:59:36. > :59:44.

:59:44. > :59:51.this year. Two pole positions, two fastest laps. That will be focusing!

:59:51. > :59:55.Those tyres are dirty. He will not want to write here again. That

:59:55. > :00:02.corner will just haunt him. Bradley Smith still circulating in 10th

:00:02. > :00:06.place. If they finish in these positions, it still will mean that

:00:06. > :00:09.Dani Pedrosa will continue to lead the championship with Mark is

:00:09. > :00:19.second. If it was to be turned around, it would still be that

:00:19. > :00:26.

:00:26. > :00:36.position. Marquez looks like he is being held Here we go. Nicky Hayden

:00:36. > :00:36.

:00:36. > :01:28.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 57 seconds

:01:28. > :01:38.put in a move on there. It is always a sign of a rear tyre issue, that.

:01:38. > :01:41.

:01:41. > :01:51.Seven laps remaining. He still has a margin of three seconds over Randy

:01:51. > :02:06.

:02:06. > :02:16.De Puniet who is the next guy down the track. It has been quite a link

:02:16. > :02:17.

:02:17. > :02:27.time for Jorge Lorenzo. He was third in Spain. But Crutchlow is

:02:27. > :02:29.

:02:29. > :02:35.consistent at the moment. Marc Marquez trying to negotiate his way

:02:35. > :02:44.around his team-mate. But great stuff from Crutchlow. Marc Marquez

:02:45. > :02:54.there, in front of him is Pedrosa. He really is in the slipstream. He

:02:55. > :02:56.

:02:56. > :03:05.is having a think about it. I think he is still trying to build his

:03:05. > :03:11.confidence in that braking area. It will take a long time for him to

:03:11. > :03:18.build his confidence. I am not sure it will happen this weekend. That

:03:18. > :03:27.was as close as you like. Dani has all kinds of problems. The main

:03:27. > :03:36.problem is that bike right behind him. Almost alongside him. Here he

:03:36. > :03:42.goes. Is he close enough? Not quite. Pedrosa slams the door is shut.

:03:42. > :03:51.Almost touching. That is as close as you can get without being rude. Marc

:03:51. > :03:55.Marquez, undoubtedly it is going through his head, if I clean up Dani

:03:55. > :04:03.Pedrosa and hand the lead to Jorge Lorenzo, I will need to look for

:04:03. > :04:13.another manufacturer. It does not bear thinking about. Lorenzo much

:04:13. > :04:13.

:04:13. > :04:19.closer. Crutchlow last time around was still faster than both of the

:04:19. > :04:29.Honda machines in front of him. Mark Marquez good lap at least half a

:04:29. > :04:35.

:04:35. > :04:45.second faster if he could get through. Here we go again. He is

:04:45. > :04:54.

:04:54. > :05:01.having a think. Pedrosa right on the limit of adhesion. Marquez all over

:05:01. > :05:11.will stop no good being fast for someone in the middle of the corner,

:05:11. > :05:20.you have got to get the run coming out. Dani wisely slowing the bike

:05:20. > :05:30.down to be able to fire it out on the exit. What a move! Just got it

:05:30. > :05:31.

:05:31. > :05:41.back. Then slams the door shut again. A superb move down into

:05:41. > :05:44.

:05:44. > :05:53.Casanova corner. Here we go again. Died down the inside, a beautiful

:05:53. > :06:03.move. A really smart move. And a clean one, that was the beauty of

:06:03. > :06:04.

:06:04. > :06:14.it. Now he has got clear track in front of him. Can Cal Crutchlow do

:06:14. > :06:16.

:06:16. > :06:25.anything about Dani Pedrosa? Four laps remaining after the cross.

:06:25. > :06:31.There is his gap to Pedrosa, it is falling. It is lower again as we

:06:31. > :06:41.crossed the line. It does not seem possible unless Dani has some real

:06:41. > :06:43.

:06:43. > :06:52.problems. We're not sure if it is a physical factor. We will not know

:06:52. > :07:01.until we talk to him. Still going on for fifth place. Dovizioso now in

:07:01. > :07:11.front of Nicky Hayden but they are a match for each other. Cal

:07:11. > :07:20.

:07:20. > :07:30.Crutchlow? His last lap times there. Dovizioso just sliding back. He

:07:30. > :07:31.

:07:31. > :07:38.might be able to get on terms with Stefan Bradl. Stefan Bradl currently

:07:38. > :07:48.11th in the championship. He has had two crashes this year and cannot

:07:48. > :07:54.

:07:54. > :08:03.afford to have another one this season. Man and machine in harmony.

:08:03. > :08:13.Staring out in front. This suspension working away. Everything

:08:13. > :08:14.

:08:14. > :08:23.absolutely as one. That gap is now five seconds. Crutchlow again takes

:08:23. > :08:32.out a big chunk. Has he got it right? Has he managed to calculate

:08:32. > :08:41.it right? I do not think he has. That is the time to catch. There is

:08:41. > :08:49.the board coming out for Dani Pedrosa. Plus one second. Just

:08:49. > :08:59.making sure that he knows that Crutchlow is homing in on him.

:08:59. > :09:03.

:09:03. > :09:08.a very good ride nonetheless. not believe it! You can see what he

:09:08. > :09:17.is thinking. How did I do that? You know what this means? Podium for

:09:17. > :09:23.Crutchlow. And Marc Marquez has made it four sessions, for crashes. He is

:09:23. > :09:33.so cross with himself. He lost the front going into the corner. He

:09:33. > :09:33.

:09:33. > :09:38.knows it is a massive mistake. Casanova. Lost the front. The whole

:09:38. > :09:44.thing just went from underneath him. And he is just lying there knowing

:09:44. > :09:53.that his championship position is going back to Jorge Lorenzo. And he

:09:53. > :10:03.is wearing. Well he was not hurt it would appear, thank goodness. But

:10:03. > :10:09.

:10:09. > :10:15.that will put a wry smile on the face of Jorge Lorenzo. There is the

:10:15. > :10:25.gap. 1.7. Really reading him in. Three or four laps and he would be

:10:25. > :10:42.

:10:42. > :10:50.on the back of Dani Pedrosa. last lap. It would appear it is not

:10:50. > :11:00.quite enough. Unless there are real problems for Dani Pedrosa. This is

:11:00. > :11:13.

:11:13. > :11:19.on board with That is the Bradley Smith corner. He has cost Honda a

:11:19. > :11:29.lot of money over the weekend. When he keeps it together he is fast. He

:11:29. > :11:39.

:11:39. > :11:45.will be cross now but will come back as hard and fast as ever before.

:11:45. > :11:52.have a look at the championship points. Dani Pedrosa sigh of relief.

:11:52. > :11:58.It will be a lot better for him. The gap between him and Lorenzo will

:11:58. > :12:06.shrink by five. Another three laps and Crutchlow would have been on the

:12:06. > :12:12.rear wheel of that Repsol Honda. Across the stripe we go. Dovizioso

:12:13. > :12:22.trying everything to get past bike number six. Stefan Bradl on the

:12:23. > :12:29.

:12:29. > :12:39.Honda. The home Grand Prix for Ducati. Copybook ride. Jorge

:12:39. > :12:40.

:12:40. > :12:50.Lorenzo. The 35-year-old. This will make his 25th MotoGP win. One more

:12:50. > :13:07.

:13:07. > :13:17.than Dani Pedrosa. They are level at the minute at 24 apiece. A solid

:13:17. > :13:23.

:13:23. > :13:33.podium finish from the man from the Isle of Man. Just eased his way past

:13:33. > :13:33.

:13:33. > :13:38.Stefan Bradl. Across the line we go. And job done for Jorge Lorenzo.

:13:38. > :13:46.Winning three in a row in Italy. Dani Pedrosa second place. And Carol

:13:46. > :13:56.Crutchlow, another podium. Excellent stuff from him. He came from a long

:13:56. > :14:05.

:14:05. > :14:12.way back. Stefan Bradl just in front of Dovizioso. A happy Yamaha camp.

:14:12. > :14:22.Two wins now this season for Jorge Lorenzo. All bunched up with those

:14:22. > :14:26.

:14:26. > :14:36.championship points. Great stuff then from Espargaro. He will be glad

:14:36. > :14:41.

:14:41. > :14:50.of a rest. Great for Yamaha. Really pleased for them. They probably had

:14:50. > :14:58.the fastest rider today. Cal Crutchlow gets that podium. That is

:14:58. > :15:04.brilliant stuff. The championship closes up. Great from our point of

:15:04. > :15:13.view. Terrible that, that mistake from Marc Marquez. But it is his

:15:13. > :15:23.first year. He is just learning to ride this bike. He was just a touch

:15:23. > :15:37.

:15:37. > :15:46.too fast. Cal Crutchlow, he just gets stronger and stronger, better

:15:46. > :15:56.and better. Last time out, wet, dodgy conditions. Today, perfect.

:15:56. > :16:02.Look at the body language here. I want to know what went wrong. This

:16:02. > :16:07.leaves Dani Pedrosa still leading the championship on 103 points.

:16:07. > :16:17.Lorenzo closes in by five. He is on 91. Marquez is still stuck on 77

:16:17. > :16:18.

:16:18. > :16:23.points. Cal Crutchlow is only six adrift. Slowly going into that

:16:23. > :16:33.corner. The trickiest corner on the circuit. Forget the bike, what about

:16:33. > :16:36.

:16:36. > :16:46.the points? ! OK, this guy, Steve. He is so relieved. There was some

:16:46. > :16:50.

:16:50. > :16:56.pressure. It was building. What a performance. What a performance

:16:56. > :17:02.indeed. Not only from Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Cal Crutchlow, but the

:17:02. > :17:12.Ducati bikes did not do a bad job. That was as good as they could have

:17:12. > :17:14.

:17:14. > :17:18.expected. No Ben Spies today. We hope to see you in Barcelona.

:17:18. > :17:28.hope to be back as soon as I can. We came here with the full intention to

:17:28. > :17:31.put a good race on. After the first day, I quickly realised there was no

:17:32. > :17:37.way. It wasn't safe for me to be back on the bike. I need more time

:17:37. > :17:44.and I need more work. It is a shame to say it, but that is all we can

:17:44. > :17:49.to say it, but that is all we can do. Put on 100% and come back 100%.

:17:49. > :17:57.Your loss is our gain today because we can use you as an expert race

:17:57. > :18:01.analyst. What you make of the start of the race? Alfaro was on the

:18:01. > :18:06.inside. Your head is on the left side of the bike. I don't think he

:18:06. > :18:10.knew that Valentino was on the outside. He was a little aggressive

:18:10. > :18:13.entering the turn. Valentino was on the outside and he was coming back a

:18:13. > :18:20.little bit to set up for the right-hander. It was a complete

:18:20. > :18:28.racing accident, in my opinion. Bautista may have been a little bit

:18:28. > :18:33.more because the accident. To me, a racing accident. I don't think

:18:33. > :18:37.anybody will be fined. It was a shame it was that early in the race

:18:37. > :18:44.and fur Valentino in his home race. I don't think anybody will be

:18:44. > :18:54.penalised. Nobody was penalised after her rows. You would not

:18:54. > :18:58.

:18:58. > :19:03.imagine it would happen here. -- Jerez. I was watching and I thought

:19:03. > :19:08.Marquez did a really good job after the weekend he had. Once Lorenzo

:19:08. > :19:13.pulled away, it was basically a race between him and Pedrosa. I could see

:19:13. > :19:17.that he was trying to stay calm. Today we have seen hot tempered just

:19:17. > :19:26.than we had all we can. I knew the tyres would come into play more than

:19:26. > :19:33.they have. It was maybe just a lack of experience. He just lost the

:19:33. > :19:39.front tyre. A little greasy. Could be a rookie mistake. But also, a lot

:19:39. > :19:45.of the older boys -- dies an attack could have done the same thing. I

:19:45. > :19:50.would not say it was a complete rookie mistake. He did a good race.

:19:50. > :19:56.The kid is trying hard. He does not know when to say no and 20 stay

:19:56. > :20:00.calm. He did a great race and it is unfortunate for the championship.

:20:00. > :20:08.Thankfully, it did not happen to Cal Crutchlow today.

:20:08. > :20:11.Congratulations. It is becoming a regular fixture here. You just told

:20:11. > :20:18.me you saw the crash in front of you, you knew you were on the

:20:18. > :20:23.podium. What was that feeling? I hate to get gifts. I like to work

:20:23. > :20:28.for it. If I kept going anywhere, I think I would have been able to

:20:28. > :20:33.catch Dani Pedrosa and been on the podium. As soon as I saw the crash,

:20:33. > :20:37.I eased up. We did a good job this weekend. I have been suffering with

:20:37. > :20:47.allergy and not feeling too good. We crashed yesterday. What a great way

:20:47. > :20:48.

:20:48. > :20:54.to bounce back in these conditions. Thank you. We're not really

:20:54. > :21:00.comfortable at the moment. We made a big improvement on the turn one.

:21:00. > :21:10.Thanks to Yamaha, things are quite tough at the moment. We have got a

:21:10. > :21:10.

:21:10. > :21:19.lot of guys fighting our corner. We have just proved that we are capable

:21:19. > :21:23.of challenging at the front. Congratulations. Thanks, guys. That

:21:23. > :21:27.was a useful afternoon. Dani Pedrosa. He will be breathing a sigh

:21:27. > :21:32.of relief. Obviously great that you are on the

:21:32. > :21:41.podium. What happened? You seemed to be struggling? Yes, it was not my

:21:41. > :21:45.day today. We had many problems with the new shoulder in this tyre. We

:21:45. > :21:53.could not get the grip. We had to set out the bike in a different way

:21:53. > :22:00.to be fast. In the race, the bike was moving a lot towards the middle.

:22:00. > :22:07.In the corners, we were faster. Marquez was behind all the race.

:22:07. > :22:13.Finally, he made the move. I was tired. I changed direction towards

:22:14. > :22:20.the end. It was a little difficult at the end. Fortunately, we are

:22:20. > :22:26.second today on a day when we were not really expecting to do our best.

:22:26. > :22:29.It is good for the team. Congratulations. Good for the team

:22:29. > :22:37.indeed. Very good for Dani Pedrosa as well.

:22:37. > :22:47.Lorenzo has taken five points out of him. But chose to Leeds. -- Pedrosa

:22:47. > :23:00.

:23:00. > :23:07.Valentino Rossi. That is worse than last year. Not better. Stefan Bradl

:23:07. > :23:17.didn't do himself any harm. Espargaro is leading the charge in

:23:17. > :23:19.

:23:19. > :23:29.10th place. Great stuff from him on a CRT bike. The front is the key.

:23:29. > :23:31.

:23:31. > :23:38.Dani Pedrosa, 103. Lorenzo 12 points back.

:23:38. > :23:41.Jorge Lorenzo, he was not gifted this. He won it. Probably fair to

:23:41. > :23:47.say there was a lot of pressure I knew coming into this weekend to

:23:47. > :23:54.take a win. You were superb all weekend. A stunning win? You always

:23:54. > :23:59.have pressure. I knew I was doing my best in every race. Sometimes your

:23:59. > :24:07.performance during the year does not depend on you. We keep on working.

:24:07. > :24:12.We feel much better even with the hotter conditions in the race.

:24:12. > :24:19.Anyway, I tried on every lap to open the little gap that I needed.

:24:19. > :24:29.Finally, in the last 15, I could do it. Danny said, OK, this race is

:24:29. > :24:33.

:24:33. > :24:40.over. Congratulations.Thank you. Impressive performance from Jorge

:24:40. > :24:45.Lorenzo. Most of the crowd, as usual here, for Valentino Rossi. For the

:24:45. > :24:52.past couple of years he has had to satiate the crowd. They will be

:24:52. > :25:00.disappointed today and so will Valentino. Terrible shame? Yes, it

:25:00. > :25:07.was. He has won six or seven in a role in the past. He had a really

:25:07. > :25:14.good shot. I think you have a lot of pressure on him to show that he can

:25:14. > :25:18.run up front. He had a good shot to get on the podium. It is a shame

:25:18. > :25:23.that he did not even get to show what he could do. It was a racing

:25:23. > :25:27.accident. He has still got plenty of fans rooting for him in the

:25:27. > :25:32.background. That will never go away. It was a great race today.

:25:33. > :25:40.Unfortunate for him. How do you rate the performance of Jorge Lorenzo at

:25:40. > :25:46.the front? He really showed there is life in Yamaha yet. His performance

:25:46. > :25:51.would have been ten out of ten. He led the race, he set the pace. He

:25:51. > :25:56.made Pedrosa work. Once he saw that he had Pedrosa on the ropes, he

:25:56. > :26:01.knocked three tenths of his lap time. He had the race totally under

:26:01. > :26:07.control the whole time. He knew what he needed to do. He shook the

:26:07. > :26:11.Championship up. He is back in it's completely now. -- he is back in it

:26:11. > :26:18.completely now. Marquez is a rookie. He has been doing

:26:18. > :26:21.incredible. It is unfortunately made the mistake today. He is so young,

:26:21. > :26:25.everybody has got to cut him a little bit of slack and not try to

:26:25. > :26:32.get so much out of him. He will come back. He still has a shot at the

:26:32. > :26:38.championship. It is clearly patrols and Lorenzo championship battle.

:26:38. > :26:41.quick word for Cal Crutchlow, impressive? Really impressive. I

:26:42. > :26:48.thought he could do it. I thought he needed to be closer in the

:26:48. > :26:52.beginning. Even yesterday, to get the drag down the straight. He got

:26:52. > :26:56.held up a little bit on the first lap. If that wouldn't have

:26:56. > :27:04.happened, with how patrols are faded and how he came on, he definitely

:27:04. > :27:07.would have been in second place. -- Pedrosa. To podium places. The guy

:27:07. > :27:12.is riding incredible. Hopefully he can get some more help.

:27:12. > :27:19.Thank you very much. All the best with your recovery. We will see you

:27:19. > :27:28.soon. Thank you. It is Cal Crutchlow on the podium.

:27:28. > :27:31.How about that? Lin Jarvis, the Yamaha bass. He will be relieved.

:27:31. > :27:39.Honda have been whipping Yamaha for quite awhile. Little bit of

:27:39. > :27:45.breathing space for him. Another win for Yamaha. Honda are still the guys

:27:45. > :27:55.to beat. Dani Pedrosa leading the championship. Lorenzo much closer

:27:55. > :27:57.

:27:57. > :28:03.than he was. This is Lorenzo's third win here in succession. They are

:28:03. > :28:12.still celebrating. They always do a pitch invasion here. Even though

:28:12. > :28:21.their hero is not here. The British hero is. Lorenzo, Pedrosa,

:28:21. > :28:24.Crutchlow. What a podium. Who would have thought it?

:28:24. > :28:28.Back-to-back podium finishes for Cal Crutchlow and a second victory of

:28:28. > :28:34.the season for Jorge Lorenzo. 12 points between him and Dani Pedrosa
