:00:21. > :00:33.Good afternoon. Rugby has Six Nations, netball has its Quad

:00:34. > :00:35.Series. It is the climax of the series today at Wembley Arena in

:00:36. > :00:42.front of a big and noisy crowd of 7000 people. If you haven't seen

:00:43. > :00:47.netball for a while, stick around. It's definitely not what you will

:00:48. > :00:50.remember. It's probably not what you are expecting. We're going to be

:00:51. > :00:56.watching these fantastic teams, England against Australia, all of

:00:57. > :00:59.them professional sportswomen. And for a famously noncontact sport, at

:01:00. > :01:05.least that is what it was in the olden days, things have changed.

:01:06. > :01:08.This is very, very fierce indeed. It is one of the fastest, most agile

:01:09. > :01:18.and most watchable sports around. We're going to share it with Natalie

:01:19. > :01:22.and Jess. I wonder what we are in for today. I talked about

:01:23. > :01:27.noncontact. I don't think it does the physicality of this game justice

:01:28. > :01:33.now? Noncontact may be what it says in the rule book but it is full

:01:34. > :01:40.contact. It is like a chess match, judo, hockey. It would be fantastic.

:01:41. > :01:43.Australia can wrap up second Quad Series title this afternoon if they

:01:44. > :01:50.beat Tracey Neville's England side. How much does netball matter in

:01:51. > :01:56.Australia and New Zealand? These players are superstars there. It is

:01:57. > :02:00.a massive sport for females. This is the pinnacle of their sporting

:02:01. > :02:06.career. They want to be number one. How big a challenge will this be for

:02:07. > :02:11.England today? In any sport, facing the number one is a huge challenge.

:02:12. > :02:14.On the back of some disappointing results for England and a formidable

:02:15. > :02:21.Australia side, this is the toughest it has been for a while. We will see

:02:22. > :02:26.the Australian captain and the goalkeeper, she is a terrier. She is

:02:27. > :02:30.a bulldog. She encapsulates a lot of the things about being an athlete

:02:31. > :02:35.and being a woman. She dominates that court. She directs players, she

:02:36. > :02:42.is vocal. She is what every woman wants to be. Whatever plastic

:02:43. > :02:45.opportunity -- what a fantastic opportunity for everybody here, and

:02:46. > :02:54.also for the England team to get a chance to play against the world's

:02:55. > :02:58.top teams, twice a year. Invaluable? In World Championships we always

:02:59. > :03:11.felt short. This is absolutely perfect. Here their come, led by

:03:12. > :03:13.Sharni Layton. There she is. The world's number one side, the

:03:14. > :03:19.Australian Diamonds. They are supremely difficult to crack. They

:03:20. > :03:25.are coached by Lisa Alexander, who steered them to a first Commonwealth

:03:26. > :03:31.gold for 12 years in Glasgow, and a third world title in a row in Sydney

:03:32. > :03:34.in 2016. Their captain, Sharni Layton, would love to lead them to a

:03:35. > :03:41.winning her first campaign as captain. These netballers are about

:03:42. > :03:46.to become the highest-paid sportswomen and Australian domestic

:03:47. > :03:50.sport. They are part of the new professional super netball league,

:03:51. > :03:57.that gets under way in a week. They are tall, agile, physically very

:03:58. > :04:05.imposing. And here come England. Led by their goalkeeper, Ama Agbeze.

:04:06. > :04:10.Five members of this England squad are going to be part of this new

:04:11. > :04:16.league in Australia. Another two play in the New Zealand Premiership.

:04:17. > :04:23.As we familiarise you with the personnel. Number seven will take

:04:24. > :04:33.the court in each team. Only two can score goals in netball. The goal

:04:34. > :04:40.attack and the goal shooter. Here comes the most experienced member of

:04:41. > :04:44.this side. Geva Mentor. What a task these ladies have in front of them.

:04:45. > :04:50.Great atmosphere. Add in terms of what we might expect as a game, we

:04:51. > :04:52.talk about the physicality. Describe what that means in terms of the

:04:53. > :04:59.jostling and the juggling proposition out there? There is no

:05:00. > :05:03.assumption that any ball is for them. What that means is the ball is

:05:04. > :05:09.in the air, both players actually believe the ball is for them. They

:05:10. > :05:09.can do anything in their power to gain possession.

:05:10. > :05:48.It is time for the anthems. # A beauty rich and rare.

:05:49. > :05:57.# In history's stage, at every stage, advance Australia fair.

:05:58. > :06:33.# Advance Australia fair. # God save our gracious Queen.

:06:34. > :06:46.# Long-lived our Noble Queen. # God save our Queen.

:06:47. > :06:56.# Sound her victorious. -- centre. # Happy and glorious.

:06:57. > :07:07.# Long to reign over us. # God save our Queen.

:07:08. > :07:11.CHEERING. So the England Roses taking on the

:07:12. > :07:17.Australian Diamonds. It is an hour-long contest. Four quarters. It

:07:18. > :07:24.will be described by Gary Burgess, who now works with England netball.

:07:25. > :07:30.In the commentary box, the owner of 101 England caps. And leading the

:07:31. > :07:43.team is Caroline Barker. Good afternoon. If you thought

:07:44. > :07:47.social media blue up when it was revealed Beyonce was having twins,

:07:48. > :07:57.it'll go crazy if England beat Australia. This is the Australia

:07:58. > :08:01.team. As for England, Chelsea Pitman in wing attack against our old side.

:08:02. > :08:12.And Beth Cobden, who has impressed this series. Where do England need

:08:13. > :08:17.to exploit? The shooting areas. We have got the defence for the

:08:18. > :08:22.Australians. They are trying to build a new defensive unit. They

:08:23. > :08:27.have had a few retirements. They have people not here. We need to

:08:28. > :08:35.exploit that defence. They have got the captain, Sharni Layton. England

:08:36. > :08:41.get under way. Mishandle and the Aussies have picked it up. The roses

:08:42. > :08:46.need to take a breath. They started slowly in the previous couple of

:08:47. > :08:56.matches. I really think they need to turn this back over again. We can't

:08:57. > :09:01.led the Aussies get this fast start. We were 8-1 down against the Kiwis.

:09:02. > :09:06.We can't afford for that to happen. We need to turn this over. Nice

:09:07. > :09:16.tight defence on Hadley. Australia on the scoreboard. That was good

:09:17. > :09:27.from Cobden. She had a great game against New Zealand. We need her on

:09:28. > :09:30.fire today. Australia going two up. There's shooting is phenomenal. The

:09:31. > :09:44.percentages are really high. We have to break the ball down before they

:09:45. > :09:53.get to that. Let's go. Brilliant. Great start. There is the difference

:09:54. > :09:56.from England already. Name-macro comes out firing. Fantastic to get a

:09:57. > :10:11.first shot in. -- Corbin. We will take up some of the calls

:10:12. > :10:15.with Gary Burgess in a moment. There we have a defender out of the

:10:16. > :10:21.circle. Two attackers in. Nice easy ball. We probably need to see Agbeze

:10:22. > :10:28.doing a bit more movement. Susan Pettitt doing Australia 3-1 ahead.

:10:29. > :10:29.If you want to be part of our commentary team this afternoon, you

:10:30. > :10:47.can get in touch on social media. You are already seeing the

:10:48. > :10:54.physicality we spoke about earlier. Another great shot by Corbin. Good

:10:55. > :11:01.girl. Let's get a quick check on things with Gary Burgess. Umpires at

:11:02. > :11:06.Super League level and international level. We're talking about the

:11:07. > :11:09.physical ability that comes into it a national netball? I think the

:11:10. > :11:13.biggest difference people will probably see is the level of contest

:11:14. > :11:17.in the international game. It will vary as the levels go down. But the

:11:18. > :11:21.umpires are looking to squeeze as much physicality out of the game as

:11:22. > :11:28.they can and to apply as much advantage down the court to make the

:11:29. > :11:31.game flow. Jade Clarke with the centre pass. She is one of those

:11:32. > :11:40.players down under with such experience. That was a good take by

:11:41. > :11:50.Pitman. She will be used to this Australian style. They challenged

:11:51. > :11:57.every ball. Such frustration for England and for Tracey Neville.

:11:58. > :12:07.Those moments that can turn a game. Yes, we have to eliminate the basic

:12:08. > :12:11.errors. Any basic area, they look for a shooting opportunity. The

:12:12. > :12:16.Aussies will score off everything. We cannot afford for them to have

:12:17. > :12:26.any possession. Just over 11 minutes of this first 15 minute quarter

:12:27. > :12:30.remaining. OK, we're 5-2 down. We need to turn this centre pass over.

:12:31. > :12:36.We are doubling now on the goal shooter. We so Agbeze with Mentor.

:12:37. > :12:47.We have turned that over. Here comes Sharni Layton. She will

:12:48. > :12:55.be having a major effect on this game. And as you can see and hear,

:12:56. > :12:59.she is directing play. She is telling the defenders in front of

:13:00. > :13:07.her what she wants them to do. I think she is actually directing the

:13:08. > :13:13.cameras! What we can't really do is risk anything. The easiest ball to

:13:14. > :13:23.intercept is a diagonal pass. Easier said than done when Australia force

:13:24. > :13:30.you out there. Yeah, it is. England's ball. Chelsea Pitman

:13:31. > :13:36.against our old side. Those are the sort of shot Macs you would expect

:13:37. > :13:40.Helen Housby to put away. She rushed that one a little bit. She needs to

:13:41. > :13:49.take our time and set it. Easy to say when you are up here. Good.

:13:50. > :13:53.Better from Helen Housby. Draws England back to within two. We need

:13:54. > :14:06.to score from our centre pass. That one made me a little bit

:14:07. > :14:14.nervous. Everybody running away. Somebody needs to make it easy for

:14:15. > :14:23.her. We have got a contact there. Brilliant. 5-4. We've got a game on

:14:24. > :14:27.here. Of course we do. Australia with their hands on the ball. They

:14:28. > :14:32.will transition, move quickly through court, looking for options.

:14:33. > :14:39.What you can see at the defenders trying to stop the winger getting to

:14:40. > :14:46.that circle edge. It is important to stop them. Australia are so deadly

:14:47. > :14:54.under the posts. You have to try to keep them out of that circle. Good

:14:55. > :15:10.girl, Beth Cobden. We have got good energy here with England.

:15:11. > :15:19.Gary Burgess, on the sidelines, the umpires getting in early, trying to

:15:20. > :15:22.cut stuff out? Yes, I think the umpire will always issue a caution

:15:23. > :15:28.once they have gone through the standard sanctions. They will have a

:15:29. > :15:34.quiet word with the players. The caution is similar to a yellow card

:15:35. > :15:39.in football. The players need to tidy up the infringement caused. In

:15:40. > :15:46.that case it was contact. They will have a quiet word in their shell

:15:47. > :15:49.like. Let's see if it works. Brilliant tip by Geva Mentor.

:15:50. > :15:53.Fantastic. Bringing in the indecision with the shooters.

:15:54. > :16:02.Australians under pressure will Sloth up. They don't mess up this

:16:03. > :16:06.time though. Back to within two. It is so important England make their

:16:07. > :16:11.centre pass count. This is good because we are staying with them. We

:16:12. > :16:17.have had a good start. Brilliant interplay. Big split landing to get

:16:18. > :16:33.herself close to the post and a fantastic shot from Corbin. Back to

:16:34. > :16:39.Australia. Edge of the circle. Paige Hadley has some of that experience

:16:40. > :16:43.for the Australian Diamonds. Not very much pressure on her. We need

:16:44. > :16:52.to break that down. Make sure we are nice and tight. Great ball-handling

:16:53. > :17:05.from Chelsea Pitman. Fantastic. That is good. Trying to be patient at

:17:06. > :17:14.feeding. An official warning. Stepping from Corbin. Off the back.

:17:15. > :17:19.Those are the opportunities again. They are the pressure ones that need

:17:20. > :17:26.to go into Paul us to one goal. We need to turn this ball over. They

:17:27. > :17:35.are hesitating. Great defence. You can hear them calling. That is

:17:36. > :17:45.another good tip. Cobden so close to getting hold of that. Fantastic.

:17:46. > :17:52.Pressure from England. That was all pressure from Agbeze marking that

:17:53. > :17:57.shot. Jade Clarke takes a tumble. Well held by Pitman on the edge of

:17:58. > :18:10.the circle. Another great take. So agile. Good collection of the ball.

:18:11. > :18:16.You can see their -- they're that Simpson was trying not to go offside

:18:17. > :18:26.taking the ball. We were looking at the match up, Gabi Simpson. At the

:18:27. > :18:31.moment she is having a tussle with Jade Clarke. She is. The physicality

:18:32. > :18:37.is coming in. But Clarke actually is doing a really good job. That is

:18:38. > :18:50.brilliant. Good cover. Again, indecision from the Australians.

:18:51. > :18:59.Stick with it England, come on. Just battered away. She will get another

:19:00. > :19:10.chance. And Pettitt makes it 9-7 to Australia. Pitman looking for

:19:11. > :19:17.options. Goes back to Agbeze. If we can't see anything at the front, we

:19:18. > :19:23.are resetting to the defenders. That was a fantastic ball from Corbin.

:19:24. > :19:29.She is on fire. Just the end result from Kadeen Corbyn. She has to put

:19:30. > :19:35.it through the net. Australia coming back with the ball. They take a

:19:36. > :19:48.breather. Look for movement. Good movement from Ravaillion.

:19:49. > :19:57.They don't mind where they are in that circle to have a go at goal,

:19:58. > :20:08.Australia. We are now 10-7. We could have done with that. Well played,

:20:09. > :20:13.Jade. It is so difficult to see at international level how quick that

:20:14. > :20:29.footwork is. They are still making basic errors.

:20:30. > :20:40.England have to keep an eye on this and make the centre pass count.

:20:41. > :20:44.On the reset line we need to make sure that we are holding off the

:20:45. > :20:51.space so you get a good ball side pass. They are working really hard

:20:52. > :21:01.here. Come on, girls. Jade Clarke back to Helen Housby. Back to

:21:02. > :21:08.Clarke. Just over the top. Again Pitman was there to make sure the

:21:09. > :21:12.ball counts. Good girl. The shooters need to set their shots will stop

:21:13. > :21:22.they have missed the last three, I think. Chance to put an end to the

:21:23. > :21:29.errors. Through the net it goes. England back to 8-11. We need to

:21:30. > :21:35.turn this centre pass now. We have to get as tight as we can and make

:21:36. > :21:42.it difficult. Good girl, Geva Mentor. The error then, just

:21:43. > :21:46.offside. We seem to just get to the moment where we need to push it on

:21:47. > :21:55.and then a basic error just turns it back to them. How about the defence

:21:56. > :21:58.for England? There we go again. The pressure from Ama Agbeze. She rolled

:21:59. > :22:09.off the back of Caitlin Thwaites. She let her know she was there. That

:22:10. > :22:19.was a hospital ball. We are getting opportunities here. But it is about

:22:20. > :22:24.capitalising on them. Contact called against Ama Agbeze. Lots of calls

:22:25. > :22:28.being made in this first quarter, Gary Burgess? That was a good

:22:29. > :22:32.example of where contact interferes. The umpires are judging whether the

:22:33. > :22:36.contest is balanced. When the contest is balanced and it doesn't

:22:37. > :22:40.interfere, they will let it go with an advantage or might not even blow

:22:41. > :22:44.at all. But in those were the ball is either dropped or it interfered

:22:45. > :22:50.with the player's actions, that is when they will blow up. Australia

:22:51. > :22:57.take another ball that England wanted to hang onto. We seem to be

:22:58. > :23:00.running away a lot into the corner. We need to make sure that we have an

:23:01. > :23:07.offer that is short and come into the ball-handler. Still getting the

:23:08. > :23:15.joy under the post, England. So near, yet so far. The problem being

:23:16. > :23:24.Australia's centre pass. Come on, Roses, let's turn this one over.

:23:25. > :23:27.Brilliant play by Geva Mentor. World-class defence from England.

:23:28. > :23:33.Geva Mentor and Ama Agbeze boats plying their trade in England. --

:23:34. > :23:42.Australia. Quick hands from Corbin. She finishes it off. Well done. Take

:23:43. > :23:49.a breath, let's go. The final ten seconds. They will have to be quick,

:23:50. > :23:56.England. The umpire has held it. Five seconds. Can they get it into

:23:57. > :24:02.the circle? Time taking down. She has to take this. It is after the

:24:03. > :24:12.whistle. Helen Housby unable to put that away. England so close. Each

:24:13. > :24:17.time, a mistake. That is what they need to cut out. They do. When we

:24:18. > :24:21.get a turnover we need to make sure we sink in that shot. We have had

:24:22. > :24:27.opportunities but we are throwing them away. So much can happen at

:24:28. > :24:31.international level. Four goals is absolutely nothing. England came out

:24:32. > :24:46.of the blocks. Australia got in front. They reeled them back in.

:24:47. > :24:50.Just the four goals behind. England found themselves three

:24:51. > :24:56.behind New Zealand. Four behind the world number one. Each team takes it

:24:57. > :24:59.in turn to restart the match with a centre pass. The idea is to try and

:25:00. > :25:06.capitalise on the other team's centre pass. At the moment we think

:25:07. > :25:12.it is 8-5 to Australia. How does that work in your mind? Is a

:25:13. > :25:17.positive start for England? Definitely a positive start. They

:25:18. > :25:21.are putting pressure on the Australians throughout the court and

:25:22. > :25:26.thinking about their options. What we did really well was we closed

:25:27. > :25:33.down the space of the Australians. I think Agbeze, Mentor and Cobden are

:25:34. > :25:37.working so well as a unit. It is like a diamond formation on the

:25:38. > :25:41.court. It is making it so hard for a stranger to pick their spaces. They

:25:42. > :25:47.got their balls through but they have to be pinpoint. Really

:25:48. > :25:55.positive. So difficult for a relatively new England combination.

:25:56. > :26:00.Cobden and Housby. How do you think it is working, the telepathy? To be

:26:01. > :26:05.a must, I think that is where it is at the moment. The worrying sign for

:26:06. > :26:11.me is that the centre pass is not good enough. We lost our first one.

:26:12. > :26:14.When we take our centre pass, it goes into a shooting opportunity

:26:15. > :26:20.straightaway. We are funding the ball, losing possession. Having to

:26:21. > :26:32.work twice as hard. It has to get down there fluently. You have to

:26:33. > :26:38.help the inside circle attack. There is this imposing presence in the

:26:39. > :26:42.Australian circle of Sharni Layton. My goodness, you said to me in the

:26:43. > :26:49.middle of that, what was she like as a child? She doesn't stop moving.

:26:50. > :26:56.She doesn't. Her feet never stop. She will go hunting. When you say go

:26:57. > :26:59.hunting, you stop marking your player and rugged marking everybody

:27:00. > :27:04.else. She is the anchor that brings the defensive units together. That

:27:05. > :27:09.is making it so hard for England to know where to go. However, there

:27:10. > :27:14.have been opportunities. There are gaps. We need to keep on doing that.

:27:15. > :27:17.One thing really positive about the England attacking movement, when

:27:18. > :27:20.they are not happy with what's in front of them, they will reset it

:27:21. > :27:29.and start again. They will have to do that more. The defensive unit is

:27:30. > :27:33.so tough. You have to be 99.9% sure the ball is gone to get to your

:27:34. > :27:39.players. If you were Tracey Neville, the England coach, what would you be

:27:40. > :27:44.saying to your team? The centre pass attack needs to go direct to goal

:27:45. > :27:46.every single time. Capitalise on the turn-off -- turnover from our

:27:47. > :27:54.defensive unit. They have been fantastic. The crowd

:27:55. > :27:58.back on their feet. Australia, the number one team in the world know

:27:59. > :28:03.they are in a match at the moment. It is whether England can cut out

:28:04. > :28:09.those mistakes and drive forward. Lucia style beside me. We spotted a

:28:10. > :28:18.couple of things England could tighten? The Centre Court. We need

:28:19. > :28:28.to be tighter on their centre. They are getting easy ball in the centre.

:28:29. > :28:33.Geva Mentor and Ama Agbeze are doing a tremendous job. But we need to be

:28:34. > :28:42.tighter. The Chancellor England to make that footwork error count.

:28:43. > :28:50.Name-macro will set herself. -- Corbin. Helen Housby could not get

:28:51. > :28:54.the rebound. Such is the agility of Corbin, she made sure second

:28:55. > :29:00.attempt. She did but it needs to be going in second -- first attempt.

:29:01. > :29:07.Now possession has changed over hands. OK, come on girls. Let's sink

:29:08. > :29:14.those goals one we have got the chances. Some leaders needed

:29:15. > :29:21.crosscourt for England. It is not like they are not getting the

:29:22. > :29:25.opportunities. That is much tighter now into the corners. Tracey Neville

:29:26. > :29:29.has had a bit of a chat to those guys to make sure that we are tight

:29:30. > :29:36.in the corners against their wing attacking centre. Great rebound from

:29:37. > :29:44.Geva Mentor. Ama Agbeze applauding that. Her whole body position,

:29:45. > :29:56.dangling her body so she can protect the ball coming down. Has be de

:29:57. > :30:05.Klerk. Great movement. -- Helen Housby to Clarke. Always good to

:30:06. > :30:12.turn over and Australia centre pass. Can England get back?

:30:13. > :30:20.That was a great role off, any youngsters watching that, that was a

:30:21. > :30:28.great roll off into the corner. Again, Kadeen Corbin. She needed a

:30:29. > :30:32.bit more knees. She mustn't lose her discipline to get the obstruction

:30:33. > :30:38.call because then we take it back again. It is going short when she is

:30:39. > :30:45.shooting. Maybe the old-fashioned take a breath. Good advice. Feel

:30:46. > :30:53.free to use it. LAUGHTER Into the circle. Great defence, the

:30:54. > :30:54.switching. One going front and one going back, always covering each

:30:55. > :31:12.other. Greg Hands. -- great hands. Long ball out to Clarke, made

:31:13. > :31:16.herself free again. She gave the eyes to Housby and needs to reset

:31:17. > :31:22.herself. Vision again, back to Pitman. Housby showing her

:31:23. > :31:30.confidence, and she will shoot from here. This time Corbin will hang

:31:31. > :31:38.onto it. Come on, kidding Corbin. That was really patient build-up

:31:39. > :31:44.play. -- Kadeen Corbin. To make sure they are scoring from their own

:31:45. > :31:52.centre pass. England are now back to within two. That was a good

:31:53. > :31:55.challenge. Keep going. Really important we are challenging on

:31:56. > :32:02.every ball, that England are going for every ball. And again,

:32:03. > :32:11.hesitation from the shooters. Still sunk it, though. Good running around

:32:12. > :32:17.the court from Pitman. Now the confidence is back. Brilliant. Nice

:32:18. > :32:23.shot from Corbin and nice footwork to get onto the back line and give

:32:24. > :32:28.herself the mid range shot. Hopefully that will give her

:32:29. > :32:36.confidence. Australia not happy with that call. Some booing from the

:32:37. > :32:44.Australians inside Wembley Arena. It is important that England used those

:32:45. > :32:47.moments and take the opportunity. The focus for England is to play the

:32:48. > :32:53.game and not respond to anything which they think is cynical. It is

:32:54. > :33:01.up to subjectivity. They have got to stay cool and play the game.

:33:02. > :33:07.Fantastic feed from Chelsea Pitman. During the defender and popping it

:33:08. > :33:13.up and over into the space. As Gary mentioned, one side can get blown

:33:14. > :33:20.out of the game, the whistle can frustrate them. England want to be

:33:21. > :33:30.frustrating. When I say frustrating, they want to frustrate the Aussies.

:33:31. > :33:34.Yes. Come on, girls. We are back to within touching distance of blowing

:33:35. > :33:42.the Aussies out of this one. Keep the momentum, turned this over.

:33:43. > :33:48.Amazing. -- turn. It is a Captain's performance. The breath we told them

:33:49. > :33:58.to take, now it's time they can go in inside Wembley Arena. The

:33:59. > :34:04.patient, build it. -- be patient. Oh! What a fantastic game. This is a

:34:05. > :34:08.turnaround from the New Zealand game. They have fire in their

:34:09. > :34:19.bellies. Such great defence from Australia. Yes! Amazing shot from

:34:20. > :34:25.Housby. Nice patient work and now the centre pass, come on, girls.

:34:26. > :34:29.Great turnover Australia. They look to Sharni Layton when they need

:34:30. > :34:35.leaders. She got her hand in the air and said, come on, let's calm down.

:34:36. > :34:45.Australia responding. Great movement. The little step in. And

:34:46. > :34:56.this is international netball, how the momentum can swing a game. They

:34:57. > :35:06.can't miss that. Back to 15-15. Really important that England try to

:35:07. > :35:15.keep with their centre pass. Again the physical presence of Australia.

:35:16. > :35:17.In that circle. Important we score from theirs, availability of the

:35:18. > :35:27.centre pass, that was very good, Beth Cobden.

:35:28. > :35:38.Wing defence, persistent contact. A little talking to for Gabi Simpson,

:35:39. > :35:43.she's a strong player for Australia. Now come Australia game, they don't

:35:44. > :35:48.let those moments get to them. Really important, the shooters need

:35:49. > :35:54.to take a breath. We've had so many opportunities here. That is exactly

:35:55. > :36:01.what Australia do. Lisa Alexander's side going back to two in front.

:36:02. > :36:04.Jade Clarke talking, dictating what is going to happen on the defence of

:36:05. > :36:17.the centre pass and very tight on Hadley. That is a good tip. The

:36:18. > :36:32.calls are going Australia's way, as well. Thwaites makes it a 3-goal and

:36:33. > :36:36.-- advantage. Just under seven minutes of the half remaining.

:36:37. > :36:44.Fantastic vision from Pitman to see that. And a good centre pass from

:36:45. > :36:53.England to keep them in it. That is two goals. Good defence from the

:36:54. > :36:59.England girls. Forcing them away from the ball, so they are looking

:37:00. > :37:08.for a long ball. Chelsea Pitman thought she might have some luck for

:37:09. > :37:16.England. Uncharacteristic, for an Australian to drop the ball. England

:37:17. > :37:24.are being patient, working this through. Need to be available,

:37:25. > :37:35.girls, they need depth to this ball. Pitman, back to Agbeze. Looking for

:37:36. > :37:48.the feed on the edge of the circle. The relationship has been very good

:37:49. > :37:57.between Corbin and Agbeze. Edge of the circle, Thwaites. Caitlin

:37:58. > :38:05.Thwaites, just telling her team-mate she was there, to pass it back to

:38:06. > :38:10.her. Great intuitive movement and combinations from Australia in the

:38:11. > :38:16.circle. It will be interesting to see the shooting statistics from

:38:17. > :38:21.Australia. Thwaites has missed a few under pressure. England need to keep

:38:22. > :38:28.working hard, to offer and be available and make sure we have

:38:29. > :38:39.plenty of options on every ball. We need depth, we can't go Square every

:38:40. > :38:52.time. She was a bit unlucky, there, Brandley. Back to within two. Jade

:38:53. > :39:04.Clarke, having a sniff of it, very easy for the Australians.

:39:05. > :39:14.Very calm from the Australian shooters. Lots of interplay between

:39:15. > :39:24.the two of them. To make their shots longer.

:39:25. > :39:31.Sharni Layton is hunting for the ball outside the circle. She is

:39:32. > :39:35.looking for the ball that is going to the wing attack and the centre

:39:36. > :39:45.around the circle edge, but that leaves Corbin under the posts. We

:39:46. > :39:48.are here at Wembley Arena. England umpire Gary Burgess is with us and

:39:49. > :39:55.we are hearing less whistle in this quarter. Yes, that is right, there

:39:56. > :40:01.is less whistle compared to a few years ago, especially in a game of

:40:02. > :40:08.goals. It makes the game more watchable. The thing to note, wing

:40:09. > :40:13.defence of Australia has received a caution and then official warning,

:40:14. > :40:20.and that really is a decision to be made about that player. The umpires

:40:21. > :40:29.will go on that game management ladder. That is one thing to look

:40:30. > :40:36.for, really. The England attack there was fantastic. That was so

:40:37. > :40:41.lovely to see. That is exactly how they can play against the world

:40:42. > :40:50.number one. Anything you could do, we can more than matches, is says

:40:51. > :40:55.Australia. -- match you. Gabi Simpson is on that caution, that

:40:56. > :41:03.warning. Interesting matchup between her and Chelsea Pitman. There is

:41:04. > :41:12.Pitman, that was a great call from Kadeen Corbin. And then drive under

:41:13. > :41:24.the posts. Tracey Neville, on the bench, roaring her side forward.

:41:25. > :41:32.That is the caution against Kim Ravaillion, a big player for

:41:33. > :41:43.Australia. But England can't make it count. Reverse hand from Brandley,

:41:44. > :41:49.the ball not accurate enough. That is good circle defence. Oh! But

:41:50. > :42:01.popped over the top. They are making it hard. A bit of limbo. LAUGHTER

:42:02. > :42:06.Just the average Sunday afternoon. When you see that space open up, so

:42:07. > :42:09.difficult to defend against. It is, because you have committed to the

:42:10. > :42:15.forward one and then the backspace opens up. Ideally you are looking

:42:16. > :42:25.for the other defender to maybe take that. Jade Clarke, swinging that

:42:26. > :42:29.out. The option open? Probably if it was pushed more into the corner, but

:42:30. > :42:34.you have got to be careful with the long ones when Sharni Layton is in

:42:35. > :42:41.there. She's the goalkeeper and captain for Australia, Sharni

:42:42. > :42:49.Layton. There goes Corbin, just off the back. Housby, the long arms.

:42:50. > :42:54.Great rebound. We are within two of the world number ones, England are

:42:55. > :43:00.doing a very good job. They need to stay within two. The last 30 seconds

:43:01. > :43:10.of the half. Big defence from England. 20 seconds left. Australia

:43:11. > :43:17.are very good at wasting the time and making sure the ball ends up

:43:18. > :43:20.there. Ten seconds left. Caitlin Thwaites, doing what she has done

:43:21. > :43:30.throughout this half, improving as the half went on. They are so

:43:31. > :43:35.dangerous under the posts. England, much better start to the second

:43:36. > :43:38.quarter. Fantastic start, much more patient build-up, there was wobble

:43:39. > :43:41.with the shooting at the beginning, but much better towards the end and

:43:42. > :43:50.they have got to draw confidence from that. Great quarter. Australia

:43:51. > :43:54.take the opportunities, though, they have the calmness on court. We have

:43:55. > :43:59.got to use those opportunities and go forward and we have done that in

:44:00. > :44:03.this quarter. Plenty of positives from Tracey Neville's side but Lisa

:44:04. > :44:09.Alexander's Australia have got the break here at Wembley.

:44:10. > :44:19.The difference was for goals, but now down to three. -- four. England

:44:20. > :44:23.went in front, but four unanswered goals against them, they had a

:44:24. > :44:29.nosebleed. Generally speaking, what a performance. They have tried to

:44:30. > :44:35.capitalise on the turn of, they were doing a lot of defensive work. --

:44:36. > :44:39.the turnover. In the first resold mistakes creeping in the second

:44:40. > :44:44.quarter they started to get on the end of it -- in the first half we

:44:45. > :44:48.saw mistakes creeping in. They were settled and they have the confidence

:44:49. > :44:54.to play it around until they were happy with the ball in front of

:44:55. > :44:56.them. What has been the hallmark of that performance in the second

:44:57. > :45:02.quarter from the England perspective? What is interesting.

:45:03. > :45:05.Caitlin Thwaites has been uncharacteristic under the posts and

:45:06. > :45:11.I've never seen her miss so many for Australia. They have played into our

:45:12. > :45:16.hands, the defence, because they are reliant on her in the circle and

:45:17. > :45:24.when she exits, they are not in quick enough, Pettitt, and I thought

:45:25. > :45:30.our attacking unit was much better and we got more depth. It is a

:45:31. > :45:34.struggle in there, if Housby and Corbin tucked in behind defenders,

:45:35. > :45:41.that will be a tough ask against Sharni Layton, so we need one player

:45:42. > :45:47.nearest to the ball with no defender between them. People who have

:45:48. > :45:53.watched netball after maybe a long time, not seeing it, in a test

:45:54. > :45:57.situation, it has changed in terms of contesting for the ball. What is

:45:58. > :46:03.the essence of what is new about this? When you are looking at the

:46:04. > :46:05.context of your looking at the balance between two players and

:46:06. > :46:11.umpires will try to promote the skill and the flow of the game. The

:46:12. > :46:14.difference would in contact and contests, contact interferes and

:46:15. > :46:21.stops a player from what they are trying to do and contest is a equal

:46:22. > :46:28.activity, really. I was asking you before we started, those who

:46:29. > :46:33.remembered netball from 20 years ago will remember more whistle, but many

:46:34. > :46:39.fouls are not being called now, why not? I spoke to the chair of the

:46:40. > :46:43.international role is by no and she has been involved for about 40 years

:46:44. > :46:48.-- international rules panel. They are looking at infringements which

:46:49. > :46:52.potentially would have been called, and they are now not being called.

:46:53. > :46:57.The physicality and the strength of the players means they can work hard

:46:58. > :47:03.on these things. One of the biggest things for viewers at home they

:47:04. > :47:07.might notice, there is no whistle for a goal and obvious low ins and

:47:08. > :47:16.that has reduced things that turn people off from watching -- obvious

:47:17. > :47:22.throw. This was a pivotal moment, the warning which was given. The

:47:23. > :47:26.warning that was issued, the umpire has gone through the normal

:47:27. > :47:30.sanctions, contact, and all of those, and gave the win defence from

:47:31. > :47:35.Australia caution but the contact. The player did not change their

:47:36. > :47:39.behaviour, that is the goal of the umpire, to change their behaviour,

:47:40. > :47:45.and the next step on the game management ladder is the official

:47:46. > :47:49.warning. Gabi Simpson, the wing defence, we saw her on her backside

:47:50. > :47:55.in that one, that is a real contest developing with Chelsea Pitman at

:47:56. > :48:00.wing attack. Chelsea Pitman is a form Australia player herself, and

:48:01. > :48:08.that contest, you have been watching it and enjoying it. I love it, I

:48:09. > :48:12.used to play in that position. Gabi Simpson is one of the new generation

:48:13. > :48:20.of players. Very fit and fast and agile. Chelsea Pitman is very good

:48:21. > :48:24.at just timing what is going on, so she doesn't run all the time, she

:48:25. > :48:27.picks her time to run. That makes it hard for the defender because you

:48:28. > :48:32.have got to know what she is doing and react to that. What she also

:48:33. > :48:36.does, she makes another move to counteract, so you have got to

:48:37. > :48:41.constantly readjust. At the moment Chelsea is having the better of that

:48:42. > :48:44.battle at the moment. It is important she is calm under

:48:45. > :48:50.pressure, she is getting her hands over, and it doesn't bother her.

:48:51. > :48:57.Maybe a bit of needle, because Chelsea Pitman, the wing attack is a

:48:58. > :49:01.very significant player, she was a World Cup winner for the Australians

:49:02. > :49:06.in 2011, but her Yorkshire born father here means she can compete

:49:07. > :49:10.for England. She has decided to play for England, the first time she has

:49:11. > :49:23.played against her former colleagues. Jess has been speaking

:49:24. > :49:27.to her about this amazing switch. You could have played for New

:49:28. > :49:33.Zealand but you chose England. So many reasons. Tracey Neville wanted

:49:34. > :49:36.me and for a coach to have confidence in your ability, that

:49:37. > :49:42.goes a long way, and for her to like the way I play an thing I could have

:49:43. > :49:48.a difference and slot in, that was enough -- the way I play and to

:49:49. > :49:52.think I could have a difference. My dad is English and my brother is

:49:53. > :49:59.here. Have you found many cultural differences? Outside of netball,

:50:00. > :50:03.many cultural differences, but in terms of netball it is just trying

:50:04. > :50:10.to find England, the identity of what they want to put out on court.

:50:11. > :50:15.In Australia, when you start at school, it is the most participated

:50:16. > :50:18.sport in the country, 1.8 million people, registered members, so

:50:19. > :50:23.everyone plays, male and female. Over here at the grassroots

:50:24. > :50:27.programme is where it starts and then it slowly builds. Being

:50:28. > :50:33.instilled in older players, the basic skills, but England have real

:50:34. > :50:36.war talent, it is just getting funding, it is just a problem that

:50:37. > :50:42.women have, funding and professionalism and getting to the

:50:43. > :50:45.full-time level -- real raw talent. It is heading in the right

:50:46. > :50:48.direction, especially with Tracey Neville doing the full-time

:50:49. > :50:52.programme with the English girls. I've spoken to a few people, I can

:50:53. > :50:58.see things they may not have picked up on. I have a fresh pair of eyes.

:50:59. > :51:02.And the fresh excitement, you are representing your country, that is

:51:03. > :51:05.amazing. You are representing the boils, that is pretty got down

:51:06. > :51:14.great. Little things you have to remember -- representing the Royals.

:51:15. > :51:18.So many people want to be here. For me, I know what my goals are and I

:51:19. > :51:23.want to be at the top of my game and I want to be in one of the best

:51:24. > :51:26.attacks in the world and I want to achieve things with England netball

:51:27. > :51:31.and I want to go to the Commonwealth Games and win a gold medal and win

:51:32. > :51:35.another World Championships. I want to give it my all and have a great

:51:36. > :51:38.season and hopefully at the end be a part of the England full-time

:51:39. > :51:43.programme and go from there. Those are my goals. I don't know if I will

:51:44. > :51:47.achieve them, that is down the track, but I will work hard on my

:51:48. > :51:52.stepping stones and put myself in the best position to be able to do

:51:53. > :51:56.those. She could have chosen to play for New Zealand Silver Ferns because

:51:57. > :52:02.her mother was born there but as a former Australian that would have

:52:03. > :52:06.been a step too far. Chelsea, along with four other of the Roses will be

:52:07. > :52:10.heading to Australia in eight days' time for the start of what is a

:52:11. > :52:15.brand-new era for your sport. Super netball. For the first time in nine

:52:16. > :52:19.years the Australians are going it alone, they used to be with the new

:52:20. > :52:23.Zealand league, but this is the first time that netball players will

:52:24. > :52:28.be paid to play every week and they will be paid around ?40,000 basic

:52:29. > :52:35.per year. How exciting are these times? So exciting, I want to come

:52:36. > :52:39.out of retirement, it is great for these athletes, they trained so

:52:40. > :52:44.hard. They are like footballers, they put in the same amount of time

:52:45. > :52:48.and effort, it is dedication. Before it was about passion, but now it is

:52:49. > :52:52.also your job, and they are very good at it. The girls are going to

:52:53. > :52:56.treasure this opportunity to be a professional athlete and to have the

:52:57. > :53:02.support and they can really elevate their game and continue to improve

:53:03. > :53:08.and stop not just netball. Generally in women's sport. You can be a

:53:09. > :53:11.professional cyclist in women's cycling, new can be an Olympian, but

:53:12. > :53:20.rather like in the men's games of football and rugby, to be a week in

:53:21. > :53:25.and week out professional, that is a new ball game. It is making such a

:53:26. > :53:29.big difference, I've been fortunate to coach in the last ten years,

:53:30. > :53:32.coming away from plan, and the difference it makes, you have do

:53:33. > :53:35.absorb yourself in it, if you are going to make the games which will

:53:36. > :53:40.tail on the international stage, the whole sport needs to keep moving in

:53:41. > :53:44.that direction and it is about time that women got that recognition --

:53:45. > :53:50.which will tell on the international stage. In order to make the leap to

:53:51. > :53:56.the Olympic Games, clearly more men have got to play. It is not unusual

:53:57. > :54:01.in Australia, so what would you say to that? Tracey Neville said a few

:54:02. > :54:08.days ago that that was one of the big things for netball, to get into

:54:09. > :54:17.the Olympics, they need to have more men. England have the first

:54:18. > :54:20.international umpire. The argument I have, you don't see men in

:54:21. > :54:26.synchronised swimming, so why can't we just see netball in the Olympics?

:54:27. > :54:31.That is a good man. That is for another day. In the meantime, the

:54:32. > :54:37.World Cup is coming to England in 2019, so not long to go, that is a

:54:38. > :54:40.big opportunity. Some of us can remember working at the last one in

:54:41. > :54:48.1995 and that was a very long time ago. Back to this game, England with

:54:49. > :54:51.32 shots and Australia with only 29, it is the percentage of conversion

:54:52. > :54:57.that Australia have which is superior so far. Very unusual

:54:58. > :55:03.situation. It is unusual, but not unexpected. Then we have the ball we

:55:04. > :55:09.know we have a chance. It's about giving us more opportunities. And

:55:10. > :55:12.fewer for the Australians. It is anyone's game at the moment. Here we

:55:13. > :55:25.go, the third quarter. COMMENTATOR: As a former England

:55:26. > :55:30.player, it is those moments which England have got to make count? Yes,

:55:31. > :55:34.they do, you don't get many chances against Australia say you have got

:55:35. > :55:39.to capitalise when you get them, and the shooting seems to have been a

:55:40. > :55:42.bit of a deciding factor. The fact we have opportunities is amazing. We

:55:43. > :55:51.have got to make sure we put them away. Changes for Australia. England

:55:52. > :56:02.sticking. This is Kadeen Corbin, to get England off the mark. Great shot

:56:03. > :56:07.and we need to carry on with that. That is one of those changes for

:56:08. > :56:15.Australia. Tippett in at goal attack. Unusual style. Very quick,

:56:16. > :56:19.former basketball player. She's 23 and I think the Aussies needed a

:56:20. > :56:26.change the shooting circle. She is a bit taller. We will have to get used

:56:27. > :56:30.to the quick shot she's got. Personal-best 20 goals against South

:56:31. > :56:36.Africa last time out, relatively new in terms of international

:56:37. > :56:41.experience. We need to keep moving in the circle. That is good, round

:56:42. > :56:53.the edge. Pitman is always available on the edge. England then, that is

:56:54. > :57:00.Sharni Layton, they are so quick with their passing, Australia.

:57:01. > :57:06.Tippett with the movement and she makes it count. England have gone to

:57:07. > :57:13.four now, we need to turn this centre pass over. Movement again

:57:14. > :57:19.from Gretel Tippett and she has come out firing. She has. The England

:57:20. > :57:25.defence have got to be a bit tighter. Thwaites is coming out to

:57:26. > :57:33.get the ball and Tippett under the posts. Pitman combining with Housby

:57:34. > :57:38.and back to Corbin. Those hands, the long reach of Sharni Layton, and

:57:39. > :57:48.Australia with the ball. Pitman needed to send it wider. To Corbin.

:57:49. > :57:58.The match just getting away from England at the moment. Jeevan Mendis

:57:59. > :58:07.needs to stay tight on Thwaites. -- Geva Mentor needs to stay tight.

:58:08. > :58:17.Making the space for herself again, Tippett. Gretel Tippett shooting at

:58:18. > :58:26.100% so far, four from four. The England defence needs to liven up.

:58:27. > :58:33.The call not going the way of Agbeze, contact call against her.

:58:34. > :58:39.Caitlin Thwaites makes it Australia putting themselves further in front

:58:40. > :58:44.with a seven goal lead now. England really need to score office now.

:58:45. > :58:50.They have gone seven down -- score off this. In a very short amount of

:58:51. > :58:56.time they have gone seven down and they'd need to pull this back.

:58:57. > :59:03.Housby. That is a good shot. Confident short shot. Ellie Cardwell

:59:04. > :59:15.on the bench appreciating that from England. Key moment. Slap of the

:59:16. > :59:21.thighs from Agbeze. Thwaites did not have the best first half. Unusual

:59:22. > :59:26.from Caitlin Thwaites. This is not perhaps the attacking circle that we

:59:27. > :59:32.would always expect from Australia but it is the defending they have

:59:33. > :59:35.really been trying new combinations. She has hesitated and she has missed

:59:36. > :59:42.a couple of shots, which is uncharacteristic. Simpson just

:59:43. > :59:52.taking that ball. Running into the corner. Thwaites will shoot from

:59:53. > :00:00.here and she sends it through the net. 30 up now for Australia. They

:00:01. > :00:02.are making those moments when things go their way count. Clarke, edge of

:00:03. > :00:25.the circle. She will shoot, Housby. That was a good shot from Housby.

:00:26. > :00:30.Composed shot. The ball getting into the Australian circle seems to be

:00:31. > :00:40.easier. We have to tighten up on that defence from the England girls.

:00:41. > :00:52.Those the thoughts of Lucia Sdao. You can get in touch, too. A good

:00:53. > :00:58.little pop from Corbin to Housby. You get a shorter shot. A short shot

:00:59. > :01:09.that is easier to put in. Great vision. Graceful play. Body on by

:01:10. > :01:19.the insight that circle. The contact called. -- body on body inside the

:01:20. > :01:25.circle. Step in from Tippett. Uncharacteristic from her. But the

:01:26. > :01:30.options they have to get the ball back, although swatting from Agbeze

:01:31. > :01:38.and Mentor or inside that circle, just a shame England could that --

:01:39. > :01:44.could not make that kind. It is. But it was harder to get that ball

:01:45. > :01:51.through. We need to move one of their shooters. Those lifted balls

:01:52. > :01:58.around the circle edge make me nervous. When they lift them up, it

:01:59. > :01:59.is an ideal opportunity for a circle defender to come flying out to take

:02:00. > :02:14.it. 32 plays 26. Australia coming back

:02:15. > :02:21.down court. International umpire Gary Burgess watching. A lot less

:02:22. > :02:25.whistle in this half? Absolutely. It is a good game for this kind of

:02:26. > :02:33.thing. The umpires are playing a love of advantage. It adds to the

:02:34. > :02:40.flair and allows the players to perform within the rules. How much

:02:41. > :02:51.would the players have had a little chat with the umpires? Anything they

:02:52. > :02:55.will be looking to shut out? Nothing really. The captains have the

:02:56. > :03:00.opportunity to ask the umpires. I didn't see that happen. The umpires

:03:01. > :03:10.showing a good representation of themselves today. 27-32. The ball is

:03:11. > :03:20.ending up in Aussie hands. We have to take a moment before we send it.

:03:21. > :03:27.Agbeze gets a round of applause. She is working her socks off. Ama Agbeze

:03:28. > :03:35.relatively new to the England captaincy. We have seen Geva Mentor

:03:36. > :03:41.in that position lately. What's the backspace here. The roll of. Good

:03:42. > :03:57.defence by England. Fantastic. Men tour being forced to hang onto

:03:58. > :04:07.the ball longer then she would have wanted. -- Mentor. Corbin sends it

:04:08. > :04:12.through the net. Just over six minutes of this third-quarter and

:04:13. > :04:18.England back to within four. Fantastic. Came down the sideline a

:04:19. > :04:25.bit too close for comfort. But Corbin taking a nice ball. Cobden

:04:26. > :04:32.nearly turned that over. Beth Cobden one of the few of that seven for

:04:33. > :04:39.England plying her trade in the Australian Super League. -- in the

:04:40. > :04:48.Super League. Another missed shot for Tippett. Three on the run. It

:04:49. > :04:50.doesn't happen very often. Gretel Tippett's shooting percentage has

:04:51. > :04:58.dropped down to 24%. That won't help it. And England transitioning

:04:59. > :05:03.quickly through court. Driving right down to the third line. You can see

:05:04. > :05:14.the defence bring it to the third line.

:05:15. > :05:22.We are being as patient as we can. A good swing across the circle. Great

:05:23. > :05:29.shot again from Corbin. Taking us to three now. A word from Sharni

:05:30. > :05:34.Layton, the Australia captain, to the rest of her players. The England

:05:35. > :05:58.girls gaining much more depth. Now the crowd on their feet. Well

:05:59. > :06:02.played Kadeen Corbin. Great defence on the centre pass by the England

:06:03. > :06:15.girls. England were three down at half-time. Back to within two. A bit

:06:16. > :06:26.of a tussle. Rove Aylan and Jade Clarke. -- Ravaillion.

:06:27. > :06:37.Mentor got a hand to that. A bid of aggravation happening in the centre

:06:38. > :06:44.of the court. World-class defence though. Turning the ball. Giving

:06:45. > :06:53.England plenty of opportunities. Simpson hunting. Good shot from

:06:54. > :06:58.Corbin. England come back within one goal of the number one team in the

:06:59. > :07:02.world. Jade Clarke with the centre pass. Can they draw A level? --

:07:03. > :07:12.level. Helen Housby! We are back level.

:07:13. > :07:35.32-32. We are just seeing a change for Australia.

:07:36. > :07:46.They're reacting, Lisa Alexander reacting with a change.

:07:47. > :08:02.Pettitt on as goal shooter. Not sinking her first shot. But she

:08:03. > :08:08.sinks her second. Gary Burgess behind that post. We have seen some

:08:09. > :08:13.niggle. The good thing to know from the umpires here is there are times

:08:14. > :08:15.when the game becomes frenetic and the umpires will stamp their

:08:16. > :08:20.authority to bring it back under control. It's like a runaway train.

:08:21. > :08:24.If you let it keep going, it is hard to bring it back. The umpires will

:08:25. > :08:30.not play advantage on things and pull the infringements. No puffing

:08:31. > :08:41.out on court for England at the moment. Good rebound by Housby. We

:08:42. > :08:48.are on 33 all. A poker face from Tracey Neville. Great interception

:08:49. > :09:02.from Cobden covering the circle edge. And backing up as well. Always

:09:03. > :09:06.available. Ahead of this series, Beth Cobden said her dream one day

:09:07. > :09:13.was to play and Australia. She's Australia at the moment. A plank

:09:14. > :09:19.from Helen Housby. But she held onto it. And a great shot. What a

:09:20. > :09:27.fantastic shot. When is the last time you could do a plank and see

:09:28. > :09:33.your side in front? Just over a minute of this quarter remaining.

:09:34. > :09:39.The England girls have been patient. They just need to keep the ball.

:09:40. > :09:48.Such a key contest between Ravaillion and Clarke. Great

:09:49. > :09:55.rotation. Housby goes into the space. Two goals the lead. 50

:09:56. > :09:59.seconds. Big defence needed from England. Australia so strong in that

:10:00. > :10:10.attacking circle. They won't let this phase them at all. Contact

:10:11. > :10:15.called outside the circle. Australia, the best in the world for

:10:16. > :10:21.a reason. Pettitt just telling the rest of side to calm it down. They

:10:22. > :10:29.can handle these pressure moments. Sharni Layton is hunting. She nearly

:10:30. > :10:34.came for the long one. Amazing. Here goes Kadeen Corbin. Brilliant,

:10:35. > :10:38.brilliant! Australia will need to be quick to get the ball back down the

:10:39. > :10:44.court and to make these dying seconds count. Surely not enough

:10:45. > :10:53.time on the clock. England went into this quarter behind, 20 -- 24-21.

:10:54. > :10:57.They have kept their patients. They have kept the skill level and made

:10:58. > :11:03.those moments count. They go into the third quarter Liam Byrne 3611

:11:04. > :11:07.34. A chance for Tracey Neville to tell her side to take the deep

:11:08. > :11:12.breath and make those two goals count.

:11:13. > :11:20.It is England, the world number three side, leading the world

:11:21. > :11:24.champions and Commonwealth champions by two goals. They were seven behind

:11:25. > :11:30.at one point. These are very, very extraordinary times. Do England

:11:31. > :11:35.really have to grasp the nettle? You seldom get a terms to finish off the

:11:36. > :11:40.number one in the world? England A worked so hard. They have

:11:41. > :11:44.capitalised on their opportunities. It is so unlike Australia to miss so

:11:45. > :11:47.many goals. When you have an opportunity where they are not

:11:48. > :11:54.performing at their best, let's be honest, we need to put the boot in.

:11:55. > :12:00.Look after the ball down the court and convert. We can take this. It's

:12:01. > :12:12.an amazing quarter. We so Gretel Tippett coming on for Susan Pettitt.

:12:13. > :12:16.-- saw. It wasn't just that quarter. I would have gone with that change

:12:17. > :12:24.with tepid at half-time. I was hoping that Thwaites would be able

:12:25. > :12:31.to get herself right. -- Tippett. I think Pettitt was uncomfortable. She

:12:32. > :12:37.had to work hard to get back in. People can see how hard it is to get

:12:38. > :12:39.free of Geva Mentor. A lot of passing within the circle. Not

:12:40. > :12:50.taking your passes. Trying to off-load. Rather different to see

:12:51. > :12:54.from an Australian goal shooter. At best she gets the ball and she turns

:12:55. > :12:58.to the post. The style they chose to start with didn't work in our

:12:59. > :13:03.favour. Gretel Tippett was fantastic. If you want impact off

:13:04. > :13:10.the bench, that was great. The last ten minutes, England outscored them

:13:11. > :13:13.12-4. That is no mean feat. A fantastic achievement. In the third

:13:14. > :13:21.quarter against New Zealand it was even Stevens. That surpasses it.

:13:22. > :13:24.Just tell me, again from Tracey Neville's perspective, they have

:13:25. > :13:31.kept pace. They are in the lead. What will the words of advice be

:13:32. > :13:36.from the coach? Back to basics. We need to treasure the ball. We just

:13:37. > :13:40.need to convert our centre pass is. The intercept will, and the result

:13:41. > :13:49.will takes back -- take care of itself. Four years ago England beat

:13:50. > :13:55.Australia, their first time. What kind of opportunity is this right

:13:56. > :13:57.now in the last quarter? It is a fantastic opportunity. Exactly what

:13:58. > :14:02.the Quad Series was designed to do, to give our girls and opportunity.

:14:03. > :14:08.The Aussies are having a Wembley wobble. This is a ground they don't

:14:09. > :14:19.like playing in. Composer from both sides? Exactly. They have two focus

:14:20. > :14:25.on the basics. 15 minutes will decide the outcome of this match. It

:14:26. > :14:29.could mean that Australia will have to come back if they are to win this

:14:30. > :14:35.Quad Series. What a chance that England will score a significant win

:14:36. > :14:44.against the world number one side. Australia have won 28 of 32 tests on

:14:45. > :14:49.English soil. 15 minutes left. Jade Clarke plies her trade in Australia.

:14:50. > :14:55.England sticking with the seven that started. We have had a quick

:14:56. > :15:03.turnover already. England have to keep this. As Natalie said, it is

:15:04. > :15:12.about keeping the centre passes, scoring off you run centre passes.

:15:13. > :15:20.Nevins has come on for Australia. Lucia Sdao in the commentary

:15:21. > :15:26.position here at the SSE Arena. Let's see what sort of impact she

:15:27. > :15:33.makes and if she has any impact on this for Australia. A bit of a loose

:15:34. > :15:40.pass to Tippett. Tippett was shooting round about 40% in that

:15:41. > :15:46.last quarter. Australia draw themselves back level. That second

:15:47. > :15:56.phase ball for England has been really successful. A great take by

:15:57. > :15:57.Corbyn. Footwork called against Kadeen Corbin. They don't like that

:15:58. > :16:14.inside the arena. Good movement again inside the

:16:15. > :16:18.circle. Pettitt has got lots of experience. She has got World Cup

:16:19. > :16:23.medals, Commonwealth medals. That is what the Australians need at the

:16:24. > :16:34.moment. But they are not without error, the world number ones.

:16:35. > :16:56.Improvement from Australia in that circle. Are few boos in the crowd.

:16:57. > :17:03.-- a few. Australia making England's mistakes count. England have to

:17:04. > :17:16.think about ball placement. Making sure it gets to the player it is

:17:17. > :17:22.intending. Pettitt so calm under the post. Another centre pass gone. That

:17:23. > :17:40.is three now. England and need to keep an eye on this. A good tip by

:17:41. > :17:48.Beth. Australia are out firing but A call against Tippett.

:17:49. > :17:56.Pettitt really taking control of that attacking end. You can hear her

:17:57. > :18:05.directing the play. England need to cut her down, really. Not literally,

:18:06. > :18:16.obviously! Patient build-up by the England girls.

:18:17. > :18:23.Good pressure again from Australia. Gary Burgess, staying on the legal

:18:24. > :18:28.side at the moment, but such a key moment for the umpires when the

:18:29. > :18:33.pressure grows. Absolutely. The boos in the crowd, potentially a lot of

:18:34. > :18:41.it on fire to the umpires. These guys are experienced. Lisa McPhail

:18:42. > :18:49.umpires in the Super League. The other umpire has had four ANZ finals

:18:50. > :18:52.in Australia. There will be keeping their vision wide and making sure

:18:53. > :18:58.they continued to try to play as much advantage as they can. What a

:18:59. > :19:03.shot that was from Kadeen Corbin to take England back within a goal.

:19:04. > :19:08.Should we need this, it could go to extra time if we are at level. If it

:19:09. > :19:12.does, we will have seven minutes each way. If we are still level, we

:19:13. > :19:21.will play until there is a two goal caution. -- cushion. Geva Mentor are

:19:22. > :19:26.being told to cut the backchat. England needs to be getting up on

:19:27. > :19:31.those three bands. We don't want to give the Australians any more shots.

:19:32. > :19:44.-- rebound is. We have to make sure we are keeping

:19:45. > :19:52.the ball. Natalie said we have to treasure it. We have to keep our

:19:53. > :20:02.centre passes. Chelsea Pitman just saying hello. Leading Gabi Simpson

:20:03. > :20:08.know she is there. -- letting. Tippett is a former basketball

:20:09. > :20:16.player. The old fake hands. Back into the circle from Australia. Good

:20:17. > :20:26.play by Nevins. And a good take by Tippett. I'm not sure that even hit

:20:27. > :20:33.the ring. That one did. 41-38. Centre pass for Australia. Nine and

:20:34. > :20:38.a half minutes of this match remaining. You can see the England

:20:39. > :20:49.defence are trying to cut that second phase ball out. And Tippett,

:20:50. > :21:05.tall and strong, holding the space to take that ball. Another gone for

:21:06. > :21:13.England. Australia not afraid to move and use the whole court.

:21:14. > :21:18.Tippett is tall and that ball over is going to be easy. That was good

:21:19. > :21:30.defence by Helen Housby. Great pick-up. Movement from Kadeen

:21:31. > :21:33.Corbin. Just when things were starting to pull away from England

:21:34. > :21:37.and they take us back to within four. Good change in direction and

:21:38. > :21:56.great vision from Pitman. Australia will make this work. Any

:21:57. > :22:00.rebound, any turnover and the Australian record -- transition Dean

:22:01. > :22:02.Court so quick. The England defence have to be right on it. -- down in

:22:03. > :22:13.court. A missed shot by Pettitt. And an

:22:14. > :22:19.England backline, what can they do with this one? Geva Mentor, former

:22:20. > :22:27.England captain, to the current captain, Agbeze. Close hands. Nevins

:22:28. > :22:53.was nearly on that one. Pitman resets. Great hot potato,

:22:54. > :22:58.back to Housby. Just off the back. Corbyn wrestling this one through by

:22:59. > :23:05.herself. Good call by Beth Cobden. What a great rebound. They have

:23:06. > :23:11.really got to look at that long ball. If ever you wanted to know

:23:12. > :23:18.that Sharni Layton was on court, that was one pulled contact there.

:23:19. > :23:19.Housby and Corbyn shaded off. She has actually been quite quiet in

:23:20. > :23:36.this game. -- shake it off. Ravaillion trying to make things

:23:37. > :23:41.take for Australia. Geva Mentor so close to taking the ball. Great

:23:42. > :23:49.support for Australia inside the arena.

:23:50. > :23:57.Four goals is nothing with six minutes left. Not at all. It takes

:23:58. > :24:09.ten seconds to score a goal. Make that three. England need to stay

:24:10. > :24:11.with it. Turn this over. And as if by magic Agbeze comes out with the

:24:12. > :24:32.ball. Great turnover by the captain. Sharni Layton will gobble those up

:24:33. > :24:49.every day of the week. Contact called again. Jade Clarke really

:24:50. > :24:57.trying to turn that ball over. Good land from Australia. We're back out

:24:58. > :25:06.to four. Five minutes of the match remaining. Still close. Cobden...

:25:07. > :25:16.Lots of lateral ball. We need to get some depth on this. That was

:25:17. > :25:20.unintentional. Or I just being kind? I would not like to be

:25:21. > :25:29.unintentionally taken out. Everybody is contesting. Four and a half

:25:30. > :25:35.minutes. Three goals for England to pull back. Big defence needed.

:25:36. > :25:45.England really putting the pressure on. They could do with a turnover to

:25:46. > :25:48.take it to two. Edge of the circle. This is where Australia are clever.

:25:49. > :26:02.They are just running the clock down.

:26:03. > :26:14.OK England, let's go. We need to score from this centre pass. You

:26:15. > :26:17.said Sharni Layton was having a quiet game. Australia won't mind

:26:18. > :26:27.that kind of quiet game from their captain. Looks like Corbyn got an

:26:28. > :26:37.injury. She has got -- she is going to have to come off. She took a

:26:38. > :26:44.finger, a hand in the face. 30 seconds, she has to get off court.

:26:45. > :26:47.Yes, I think the action that came was a by-product, really. It was a

:26:48. > :26:53.really good tip. A lesser umpire may have blown it as an infringement.

:26:54. > :27:05.Unfortunately, the player got Mac -- caught on the way through.

:27:06. > :27:08.Haythornthwaite 's -- Haythornthwaite comes on for

:27:09. > :27:15.England. She is about to ply their trade with wasps. Let's see if she

:27:16. > :27:28.can make our mark with three minutes remaining. Contact called. Cause

:27:29. > :27:36.this be another swing for England? Haythornthwaite will give you the

:27:37. > :27:45.legs inside that circle. Pitman calmed things down. Housby makes it

:27:46. > :27:54.count. Back to within three. Great confident shot from Housby. Good

:27:55. > :28:02.second stage defence by Clarke. Nearly got the first one as well.

:28:03. > :28:15.Mentor gets it. England get the call. Pettitt not happy with that.

:28:16. > :28:21.Great switch by Mentor and Agbeze. Caution cold against Gretel Tippett.

:28:22. > :28:32.Let's see where this one goes. Big moment for Haythornthwaite. And a

:28:33. > :28:45.contact called. It gives England another goal. England back to two.

:28:46. > :28:51.Two minutes remaining. Pitman trying hard to get free on the circle edge.

:28:52. > :29:02.And a contact called. An offside call. What a two minutes at the SSE

:29:03. > :29:06.Arena. Some any times before we have seen Housby in those pressure

:29:07. > :29:16.situations. One goal in it. Centre pass to Australia. England needs to

:29:17. > :29:25.be tied. All seven tied. -- England needs to be tight. All seven tied.

:29:26. > :29:34.It is anybody's game. Mentor ends up on our backside. Agbeze, too.

:29:35. > :29:50.Pettitt sinks the goal again. 47-45. Just over a minute. England needs to

:29:51. > :29:53.be quick. Pitman to Clarke. Haythornthwaite not in her

:29:54. > :30:02.traditional position, where she has been playing all her life. Putting

:30:03. > :30:06.that away fantastic. Can England turn the ball over? Into the last 40

:30:07. > :30:10.seconds. Australia will move the ball around court. They will get the

:30:11. > :30:13.clock counting down. When they get that opportunity inside the circle,

:30:14. > :30:17.they can make it count. They are trying to make -- use up all the

:30:18. > :30:31.time. The call goes with Australia. Just making this movement around

:30:32. > :30:41.court, Australia so clever. The call has gone the way of England, time

:30:42. > :30:49.called. Caution against Pettitt, the last 16 seconds. Then England tag us

:30:50. > :30:59.into extra time? -- can. Time called. Contact called. They will

:31:00. > :31:06.have 11 seconds. Here we go again, Haythornthwaite. England need to get

:31:07. > :31:10.it into the circle. No. Sharni Layton, the big player for the big

:31:11. > :31:18.moment, she turns it over and there goes the hooter. England have taken

:31:19. > :31:23.Australia as close as they have run them for many years but too far in

:31:24. > :31:27.the end. What an amazing game. Tracey Neville will be delighted,

:31:28. > :31:35.fantastic performance from England, who really gave us a performance

:31:36. > :31:40.against South Africa which was not up to standard and lost heavily

:31:41. > :31:45.against the Silver Ferns but this is a great performance against the

:31:46. > :31:48.number ones. Tracey Neville is happy with the performance from her side,

:31:49. > :31:53.but how close they have run the world number one team. Ultimately it

:31:54. > :31:58.ends in defeat here at the SSE Arena. Nothing between the number

:31:59. > :32:03.one and number three teams in the world. It is the moments again, you

:32:04. > :32:10.could not have told much difference in level. Not that all. It is the

:32:11. > :32:15.basic mistakes, the mist shots, it all counts in the end. You are

:32:16. > :32:21.playing for a whole hour and those little moments can. They have got to

:32:22. > :32:24.move on from this, a brilliant performance and something they can

:32:25. > :32:31.move forward on -- those little moments count. Well done, girls.

:32:32. > :32:34.There is the hard all from the Aussie Diamonds, but England are

:32:35. > :32:38.done on one knee, they know they have taken the number one team in

:32:39. > :32:42.the world right to the brink, but Australia will defend their Quad

:32:43. > :32:47.Series title. What a performance from the Roses, but oh so close at

:32:48. > :32:52.the end. It wasn't to be. It finishes here inside the SSE Arena

:32:53. > :33:01.47-46, two Australia. That is international netball at its

:33:02. > :33:07.absolute best, what a fantastic Test match. England have run the world

:33:08. > :33:12.champions and the world number one team, the Aussie Diamonds, very very

:33:13. > :33:17.close. Just one goal in it in the end. It means that Australia, the

:33:18. > :33:25.Diamonds, have won the Quad Series with three wins. But my goodness,

:33:26. > :33:33.Tracey Neville's team pushed their mighty hard today. -- pushed them.

:33:34. > :33:42.How significant a match was that for both teams? Both teams put out a

:33:43. > :33:46.world-class performance. Australia uncharacteristically missed a lot of

:33:47. > :33:55.shots but they worked their way through it. They brought on Pires

:33:56. > :33:59.who had an -- players who had an impact on the game and they were

:34:00. > :34:03.always able to find a way. Sharni Layton came alive in the final

:34:04. > :34:07.quarter. Anything that was potentially lose, she was on it. It

:34:08. > :34:13.was a true captain's performance galvanising her team. England needed

:34:14. > :34:16.to get the last goal to go to extra time which I was excited about it,

:34:17. > :34:19.and Sharni Layton got the match-winning interception, to make

:34:20. > :34:25.sure this game ended in on an Australian victory. World-class.

:34:26. > :34:27.Many people were delighted to see such a competitive Test match, but

:34:28. > :34:33.should this have been England's victory? Without meaning to be

:34:34. > :34:37.negative, the opportunity was there. It will be very rare that you will

:34:38. > :34:42.see Australia missed that many shots under the post. And allow teams to

:34:43. > :34:50.come back at them. Not just a couple of goals, but 5-6, seven, that is

:34:51. > :34:55.uncharacteristic and Tracey Neville will be regretting the fact, because

:34:56. > :34:59.you have got to seize those moments. The message it could have sent. This

:35:00. > :35:03.is fantastic, they will take confidence from the fact they got

:35:04. > :35:06.themselves back into the game, but those statistics will frustrate

:35:07. > :35:10.England when they look at them because there were opportunities in

:35:11. > :35:14.every corner. They got back, they went up, as soon as we took the lead

:35:15. > :35:19.we could not hold the lead. That will be the area they will want to

:35:20. > :35:22.work out how to do. To be fair the Australians are well rehearsed and

:35:23. > :35:27.hence why they have been able to get through it today. It is handling the

:35:28. > :35:33.lead and capitalising on the lead, that is the next step forward for

:35:34. > :35:37.England. Absolutely. There were options for both teams to seal the

:35:38. > :35:44.deal, and it was who got it on the day. Let's go back to the key

:35:45. > :35:48.moments in the final quarter. We have seen over the years, you have

:35:49. > :35:51.officiated in games at the Commonwealth Games where Australia

:35:52. > :35:55.and New Zealand has been decided by one single goal. Composure, handling

:35:56. > :36:04.the moment, you have got to be in it to experience that. So how important

:36:05. > :36:07.is this for Tracey Neville's squad? Invaluable, this is a packed

:36:08. > :36:12.stadium, it is very tight, and thinking about being precise with

:36:13. > :36:15.what they are delivering. Decision-making under pressure, the

:36:16. > :36:19.errors reduced as we got close to the end, and we saw that our team

:36:20. > :36:24.was able to get interceptions. Unfortunately for us, Australia were

:36:25. > :36:31.bit better in terms of doing that. We now have Tracey Neville. I'm not

:36:32. > :36:38.sure whether it is commiserations or congratulations, but that was an

:36:39. > :36:43.absolutely brilliant advertise -- advert for your squad. I apologise

:36:44. > :36:47.to my team, I thought against New Zealand they had only given 30

:36:48. > :36:52.minutes, and when I looked at the footage they had given 45 and I said

:36:53. > :36:59.to them, 15 minutes, you completely destroyed yourself, you can't do

:37:00. > :37:02.that. It was about feeling comfortable and uncomfortable, and

:37:03. > :37:05.those girls, I'm so proud of them. I said you have got to back each other

:37:06. > :37:10.and respond to everything we do on court, and I'm proud of them. We

:37:11. > :37:13.were just talking about being in that moment and being able to handle

:37:14. > :37:18.the final quarter like that, and getting used to being in the lead

:37:19. > :37:24.against teams like Australia. Unknown quantity for many of the

:37:25. > :37:29.team. How'd you them all used to it? -- how do you get them all used to

:37:30. > :37:34.it? It is all for coming someone had said would you like to be in this

:37:35. > :37:36.situation, I would have said yes. In training I would have said, what

:37:37. > :37:42.have you done that for? It is lessons learned. You can look at the

:37:43. > :37:46.critical moments where we could have got ahead of Australia, but we have

:37:47. > :37:51.to look at the positives. The way we pick ourselves up, we showed and the

:37:52. > :37:54.girls bought from the start until the end, and we made them make

:37:55. > :37:57.changes and that is something we have got to do because as a coach

:37:58. > :38:02.you have got to challenge the coaching staff as well as the team.

:38:03. > :38:08.There is a target for you, the World Cup, the World Championship, in

:38:09. > :38:14.Liverpool in 2019, but that brings its own pressures. It is

:38:15. > :38:19.interesting. The target is to produce a gold medal at the 2019, as

:38:20. > :38:26.Australia will tell you, that is not easy. My biggest challenge is about

:38:27. > :38:29.getting on the same game plan and getting these players together and

:38:30. > :38:33.training them and building into the Commonwealth Games. We said we had

:38:34. > :38:37.to improve as a team and our culture and our behaviour and I think we are

:38:38. > :38:43.going in the right direction. That might not be seen externally at

:38:44. > :38:47.times but internally the girls have been real positive, and

:38:48. > :38:50.behind-the-scenes, they are challenging me and hopefully I'm

:38:51. > :38:56.challenging them in the same way and we have got to keep doing that. And

:38:57. > :38:58.never take second best. You have a lot of targets ahead of you, the

:38:59. > :39:06.World Cup and the Commonwealth Games, coming up next year. After

:39:07. > :39:09.that performance, at this Quad Series, have you a clearer picture

:39:10. > :39:14.now of what you are going to be doing for the squad? I'm not going

:39:15. > :39:20.to lie, I need thinking time, and I think this next visit, will be very

:39:21. > :39:23.good to see them back in their clubs, to see the passion fly

:39:24. > :39:28.through, which we see all the time, but that gives me a bit of step back

:39:29. > :39:31.period, to assess where we are at. We start the programme in July and

:39:32. > :39:37.it has to be nailed on this time, it has to be absolutely perfect, be on

:39:38. > :39:42.perfect. If we are going to have a chance of getting into the final. --

:39:43. > :39:48.beyond. It has been a joy to watch that match, very well played to you

:39:49. > :39:57.and your team. It is good to see you back covering the netball. It is

:39:58. > :40:03.good to be back. There were a lot of changes in the Australian personnel?

:40:04. > :40:07.Yes, I need the team out in front of me to make my life a bit easier.

:40:08. > :40:14.What about the closing seconds of the match? Did you feel calm? That

:40:15. > :40:17.is my job at the back, to keep it calm and to be the anchor for the

:40:18. > :40:20.team, and we were a bit slow off the mark every time they made changes,

:40:21. > :40:26.but we got back into the swing of things and we just had to get the

:40:27. > :40:29.ball in the defensive end. We are knackered, but we were ready to go

:40:30. > :40:33.into extra time, but unfortunately we were not able to score. But so

:40:34. > :40:36.proud of the girls this afternoon, they have done so well and they

:40:37. > :40:41.turned it around after the lousy performance in the week. We have

:40:42. > :40:46.been trying so hard. Finally, is this one that has got away?

:40:47. > :40:51.Absolutely, I'm away stepping out to win, credit to the crowd and

:40:52. > :40:54.Wembley, they got us over the line, we felt the energy, and I'm so proud

:40:55. > :41:00.of the girls and what paper in in this last performance. It was a

:41:01. > :41:06.great game to watch and congratulations on your most

:41:07. > :41:13.valuable player award. The Australians, what will they take?

:41:14. > :41:18.That England are forced be reckoned with and they need to look at their

:41:19. > :41:26.attacking players on court, they are missing the likes of Natalie

:41:27. > :41:30.Midhurst. The second line coming through, they felt under pressure by

:41:31. > :41:36.the England defence, so they might have to look at that and see how

:41:37. > :41:40.they can develop their game. From the England perspective, the main

:41:41. > :41:46.positive to take? The fact that when things weren't going well, they got

:41:47. > :41:49.back out. The centre pass attack was not consistent, statistics will

:41:50. > :41:52.prove that, so it is around consistency, and they now know when

:41:53. > :41:58.Australia go ahead by seven, they can get it back. Punishing Australia

:41:59. > :42:03.when they are not 100% is the first building block, really, to be able

:42:04. > :42:06.to build them. For people just watching netball for the first time

:42:07. > :42:11.after many years, what do you hope it has shown about this sport?

:42:12. > :42:17.Netball is no longer just for the playground, we have had a great

:42:18. > :42:20.battle on the court. And we are showcasing the sport as a really

:42:21. > :42:25.credible international sport. Gone are the days of girls on school

:42:26. > :42:30.courts, this is where it is and this is what it is all about. It is a

:42:31. > :42:34.career choice for women now. If you are good enough you can play in the

:42:35. > :42:37.UK Superleague and in New Zealand you have a new premiership and you

:42:38. > :42:43.have this magic Superleague which is starting in Australia. These are

:42:44. > :42:47.exciting times. It has been fantastic to share this with you.

:42:48. > :42:53.Thanks for joining us. I hope you have enjoyed it. This is what is

:42:54. > :43:02.happening next. You have a chance to see athletics with a brand-new

:43:03. > :43:03.format. It is a team event. Old and new races in that event, and that is

:43:04. > :43:16.coming very shortly. If you are hooked netball, we will

:43:17. > :43:24.show the first of two frilly matches for Wales -- the first of two

:43:25. > :43:27.friendly matches. England have shown their horns, but it is not for

:43:28. > :43:32.nothing that Australia are nicknamed the Diamonds, they are tough and

:43:33. > :43:36.resolute and they have shone just a tiny bit brighter today. From all of

:43:37. > :43:58.us here, goodbye. Secure your place at

:43:59. > :44:03.the 500 Words Final, BBC Radio 2's writing competition
