0:00:18 > 0:00:19Touchdown.

0:00:19 > 0:00:20Looking down field, going deep.

0:00:25 > 0:00:26Let's go!

0:00:26 > 0:00:27How did he do that?

0:00:27 > 0:00:29End zone.

0:00:29 > 0:00:31Oh, and caught, for the win.

0:00:31 > 0:00:35Unstoppable!

0:00:35 > 0:00:39Hello and welcome to NFL This Week, in a week where the New York Giants

0:00:39 > 0:00:42benched their 2-time Super Bowl winner Eli Manning.

0:00:42 > 0:00:44We thought what a great idea!

0:00:44 > 0:00:47So I've benched Osi.

0:00:47 > 0:00:50Seems a bit too happy about it!

0:00:50 > 0:00:53So out with old and in with the new, I say.

0:00:53 > 0:00:55Particularly when the old is trying to make your

0:00:55 > 0:00:57presenting gig on the show!

0:00:57 > 0:01:01So joining former NFL cornerback Jason Bell this week is my favourite

0:01:01 > 0:01:04pundit who's won a Super Bowl.

0:01:04 > 0:01:06You're all right, Jason, you're still my favourite

0:01:06 > 0:01:08who has not won it!

0:01:08 > 0:01:13It's a huge welcome back to the show to Super Bowl 45 winner and former

0:01:13 > 0:01:15Green Bay Packers wide reciever Greg Jennings.

0:01:15 > 0:01:18Thank you so much.

0:01:18 > 0:01:20I have never seen this before!

0:01:20 > 0:01:22I love having you on the show.

0:01:22 > 0:01:23Love it.

0:01:23 > 0:01:26Excellent.

0:01:26 > 0:01:28We'll hear more from the Greg later, he's got straight off

0:01:28 > 0:01:30a plane to do this.

0:01:30 > 0:01:31He loves being on the show so much.

0:01:31 > 0:01:36But first let's look at the playoff picture coming into week 13.

0:01:36 > 0:01:39So in the AFC both Pittsburgh and New England occupy

0:01:39 > 0:01:40the number 1 and 2 seeds.

0:01:40 > 0:01:43Behind them is Tennessee who are fighting it out

0:01:43 > 0:01:45with divisional rivals Jacksonville for the AFC South.

0:01:45 > 0:01:49Baltimore are also sniffing around in the wildcard spots too

0:01:49 > 0:01:51and will fancy their chances.

0:01:51 > 0:01:55The NFC picture is one of intense competition.

0:01:55 > 0:01:57Nine and seven game win streaks respectively for Philadelphia

0:01:57 > 0:02:01and Minnesota put them in comanding positions here but behind them

0:02:01 > 0:02:04you just can't call it with 5 rounds of games to go.

0:02:04 > 0:02:068 other teams are still mathematically in the hunt including

0:02:06 > 0:02:09the 7-4 Seattle who don't even make the graphic but are well

0:02:09 > 0:02:15and truly still in the mix.

0:02:15 > 0:02:18Our boy has come back to the sofa, it would have been too

0:02:18 > 0:02:20much trouble otherwise!

0:02:20 > 0:02:24And so we start at the Superdome in New Orleans where both

0:02:24 > 0:02:27New Orleans and Carolina are locked at the top in the NFC South.

0:02:27 > 0:02:29A crucial divisional game for both teams in this year's most exciting

0:02:29 > 0:02:39and competitive division.

0:02:41 > 0:02:42COMMENTARY: Thomas to Kamara.

0:02:42 > 0:02:45On the edge.

0:02:45 > 0:02:46Gets the block.

0:02:46 > 0:02:48Gets in.

0:02:48 > 0:02:50That shows some of the toughness that Kamara has.

0:02:50 > 0:02:54He gets blown up, he just keeps going.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57Stewart, touchdown.

0:02:57 > 0:03:03What an answer by Carolina on the road.

0:03:03 > 0:03:05On first down.

0:03:05 > 0:03:06Ingram!

0:03:06 > 0:03:10He gets out.

0:03:10 > 0:03:13Shifts, inside the 40.

0:03:13 > 0:03:14What a run.

0:03:14 > 0:03:19Ingram still going, down to the 11.

0:03:19 > 0:03:23You see this hole that he has to run the ball through.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26And what a great job upfront by that offensive line.

0:03:26 > 0:03:272nd and one.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29Ingram!

0:03:29 > 0:03:33Takes it in.

0:03:33 > 0:03:35Just the counterplay.

0:03:35 > 0:03:37They're going to pull out the left guard.

0:03:37 > 0:03:39Senio Kelemete making the start today.

0:03:39 > 0:03:49And pretty much untouched.

0:03:49 > 0:03:50Funchess.

0:03:50 > 0:03:51What a throw.

0:03:51 > 0:03:53But dropped.

0:03:53 > 0:03:54Had his hands on it inside the 40.

0:03:54 > 0:03:59But couldn't hold it in.

0:03:59 > 0:04:01Here is a drop by Palardy.

0:04:01 > 0:04:02Going to throw it.

0:04:02 > 0:04:03Incomplete.

0:04:03 > 0:04:06That just looked weird from the beginning.

0:04:06 > 0:04:08Palardy got the snap and then just lost the handle.

0:04:08 > 0:04:10Just dropped it.

0:04:10 > 0:04:12There were going to be men downfield and all kinds of stuff.

0:04:12 > 0:04:15You know, even if he was trying to make something happen.

0:04:15 > 0:04:16Third down and eight.

0:04:16 > 0:04:17Drew Brees steps up, touchdown.

0:04:17 > 0:04:20Michael Thomas.

0:04:20 > 0:04:26Thomas comes up the field, how do you lose sight of him?

0:04:26 > 0:04:31Caught for the first down.

0:04:31 > 0:04:32Ball is out.

0:04:32 > 0:04:38And that's exactly what Carolina needed.

0:04:38 > 0:04:41He just punches it right out of Josh Hill's hand.

0:04:41 > 0:04:42That's great work.

0:04:42 > 0:04:43Third down and four.

0:04:43 > 0:04:44McCaffrey left alone.

0:04:44 > 0:04:47Christian McCaffrey for the touchdown.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50And it looked like it was AJ Clyne who should have been

0:04:50 > 0:04:53in coverage on McCaffrey.

0:04:53 > 0:04:54And just a blown assignment.

0:04:54 > 0:04:57Everybody else was on a man.

0:04:57 > 0:05:00And McCaffrey out to his left and no one goes with him.

0:05:00 > 0:05:05And that's about as easy as it gets.

0:05:05 > 0:05:062nd and four.

0:05:06 > 0:05:08Kamara.

0:05:08 > 0:05:10Another big run, he makes it look easy.

0:05:10 > 0:05:14Touchdown, Saints.

0:05:14 > 0:05:16You watch out when Kamara, the quickness that he has,

0:05:16 > 0:05:17he has got amazing speed.

0:05:17 > 0:05:20And the power at the end of this run.

0:05:20 > 0:05:24Look at the cuts that he makes once he gets the ball.

0:05:24 > 0:05:27He comes off that tackles block and then it's just sheer power.

0:05:27 > 0:05:30And he blows right through Coleman.

0:05:30 > 0:05:33They're going to give the ball to Carolina

0:05:33 > 0:05:35with good field position, with a whole lot of time

0:05:35 > 0:05:38left in this game.

0:05:38 > 0:05:42Hits it.

0:05:42 > 0:05:45Clay from inside the 45.

0:05:45 > 0:05:46And a tackle from behind.

0:05:46 > 0:05:50Ball is out.

0:05:50 > 0:05:55And it belongs to the Saints.

0:05:55 > 0:05:58Clay last week had the big punt return for a touchdown

0:05:58 > 0:06:00and this week, not so good.

0:06:00 > 0:06:03STUDIO: The Saints converted the turnover into a 31 yard

0:06:03 > 0:06:06field goal to lead 31-14.

0:06:06 > 0:06:10COMMENTARY: Under five to go.

0:06:10 > 0:06:12Newton has to pull it down.

0:06:12 > 0:06:14Chasing it from behind.

0:06:14 > 0:06:15And a big game.

0:06:15 > 0:06:18Newton still going.

0:06:18 > 0:06:21Cuts across the field and at 25.

0:06:21 > 0:06:24A 31 yard carry by Cam Newton.

0:06:24 > 0:06:25Second down.

0:06:25 > 0:06:27Newton.

0:06:27 > 0:06:32Hangs in, throws.

0:06:32 > 0:06:33Funchess.

0:06:33 > 0:06:35What a catch!

0:06:35 > 0:06:36Touchdown.

0:06:36 > 0:06:39Crawley was in a good position and looked like he could have driven

0:06:39 > 0:06:40underneath that throw.

0:06:40 > 0:06:43And once it was high, Crawley then unable to get a hand on it.

0:06:43 > 0:06:49Wow.

0:06:49 > 0:06:52Here is play along the sideline.

0:06:52 > 0:06:55And we are going to see who they are going to give it to.

0:06:55 > 0:06:58Was that saved before it went out of bounds?

0:06:58 > 0:07:01OFFICIAL: The ruling on the field is the ball on ten yards,

0:07:01 > 0:07:03it was illegal recovery by the kicking team.

0:07:03 > 0:07:04First down, Carolina.

0:07:04 > 0:07:06COMMENTARY: Well, they have given it to Carolina at the moment.

0:07:06 > 0:07:09By doing so they are saying Devin Funchess was up in the air

0:07:09 > 0:07:11before he flipped it.

0:07:11 > 0:07:13And he's not.

0:07:13 > 0:07:16And the challenge flag comes from the Saints sideline.

0:07:16 > 0:07:20OFFICIAL: After review, the Carolina player was out of bounds.

0:07:20 > 0:07:26Therefore it is a free kick.

0:07:26 > 0:07:27COMMENTARY: Out on the edge.

0:07:27 > 0:07:29Kamara makes the play.

0:07:29 > 0:07:31And has a first down.

0:07:31 > 0:07:33Another big one for Kamara.

0:07:33 > 0:07:37Leaps down inside the 30.

0:07:37 > 0:07:40The Saints have swept Carolina in their season's series.

0:07:40 > 0:07:45And they are alone atop the NFC South at nine and three.

0:07:45 > 0:07:46We have an extremely tough division.

0:07:46 > 0:07:49You know, we've got three teams that are all vying for the top spot.

0:07:49 > 0:07:52And certainly the play-off opportunity.

0:07:52 > 0:07:57But you know, no more important game than the next game.

0:07:57 > 0:08:00And you know, coming back from LA last week, you know,

0:08:00 > 0:08:03we knew that the last four out of five for us were

0:08:03 > 0:08:04all divisional games.

0:08:04 > 0:08:08So this is where our best football needs to be played.

0:08:08 > 0:08:10We just have to move forward, the optimistic

0:08:10 > 0:08:11about our opportunities.

0:08:11 > 0:08:13Knowing that the world just doesn't stop because

0:08:13 > 0:08:15the Panthers lost today.

0:08:15 > 0:08:18You know, we have to learn from this.

0:08:18 > 0:08:20We will learn from this.

0:08:20 > 0:08:26And we will be better and prepare for Minnesota.

0:08:27 > 0:08:30First of all I think we are all grateful that the world

0:08:30 > 0:08:31doesn't stop when Carolina lose!

0:08:31 > 0:08:33That would just be horrendous for all of us!

0:08:33 > 0:08:36A massive win for the Saints, given the state of the division.

0:08:36 > 0:08:39We haven't seen what Atlanta did yet, so let's try

0:08:39 > 0:08:40not to give it away.

0:08:40 > 0:08:43But if you're going to get into the play-offs in a tight

0:08:43 > 0:08:45division, you have got to beat your rivals at home.

0:08:45 > 0:08:47Huge win for New Orleans Saints.

0:08:47 > 0:08:49This is a team that is battling with all the other teams

0:08:49 > 0:08:50for their division crown.

0:08:50 > 0:08:54And for them to come out and play the way they did, coming off a loss,

0:08:54 > 0:08:56and performing the way they performed, outstanding win

0:08:56 > 0:08:57for that football team.

0:08:57 > 0:08:59Let's talk Alvin Kamara then, who we've talked

0:08:59 > 0:09:01about a little bit on this show.

0:09:01 > 0:09:04But he is now one of the sort of biggest threats, multitalented,

0:09:04 > 0:09:09multipurpose, offensive threat in the league.

0:09:09 > 0:09:11He is, because he can do it all.

0:09:11 > 0:09:13He can cast the ball out of the backfield.

0:09:13 > 0:09:15He can run between the tackles.

0:09:15 > 0:09:16He can get outside on the edge.

0:09:16 > 0:09:18You don't really have an answer for him.

0:09:18 > 0:09:21When you look defensively at the linebackers that he had to go

0:09:21 > 0:09:23up against, they are very talented.

0:09:23 > 0:09:24And this is what he does.

0:09:24 > 0:09:26This is who he is.

0:09:26 > 0:09:28And he's helped because of his counterpart in the backfield

0:09:28 > 0:09:32with him, taking a lot of load off.

0:09:32 > 0:09:34This is what the Saints do, they lean on the run.

0:09:34 > 0:09:37And Alvin Kamara is having an outstanding year.

0:09:37 > 0:09:40He forces a lot of mistackles and that is something that

0:09:40 > 0:09:41makes him so dynamic.

0:09:41 > 0:09:43Out of nine carries I think he had five mistackles.

0:09:43 > 0:09:46I mean, that is crazy for a guy like that.

0:09:46 > 0:09:48And I agree with Greg, the fact that he doesn't have

0:09:48 > 0:09:52to carry the load by himself, that means he has fresh legs every

0:09:52 > 0:09:55time he gets the ball.

0:09:55 > 0:09:57Yes, I mean he is an outstanding football player.

0:09:57 > 0:09:59Ingram is the guy, he is the work horse.

0:09:59 > 0:10:01He's the guy who really carries the load.

0:10:01 > 0:10:03But Kamara is the change of pace guy.

0:10:03 > 0:10:05Much like Darren Sproles was for them years ago.

0:10:05 > 0:10:08And he is the same type of football player.

0:10:08 > 0:10:09I mean the stats are really impressive.

0:10:09 > 0:10:11Particularly over the last five weeks.

0:10:11 > 0:10:14And the balance between his passing, his receiving yards and his

0:10:14 > 0:10:15rushing yards as well.

0:10:15 > 0:10:18There is a real balance there.

0:10:18 > 0:10:20It is.

0:10:20 > 0:10:22And here's the thing, what you just alluded

0:10:22 > 0:10:26to, Darren Sproles - he did the same thing

0:10:26 > 0:10:28for New Orleans Saints when Reggie Bush was there

0:10:28 > 0:10:29every down back.

0:10:29 > 0:10:31Or they wanted him to be there every down back.

0:10:31 > 0:10:33Darren Sproles came in and changed the pace.

0:10:33 > 0:10:35Could catch the ball out of the backfield.

0:10:35 > 0:10:38Could really hurt you splitting him out wide.

0:10:38 > 0:10:42But could get outside the tackles, could run in between the tackles.

0:10:42 > 0:10:45You really have to focus in on the entire, the entirety

0:10:45 > 0:10:47of his game, not just one area.

0:10:47 > 0:10:50You all talked about how he has got a partner in crime who takes

0:10:50 > 0:10:51the load off him a little bit.

0:10:51 > 0:10:54Is he benefiting also from being the first season

0:10:54 > 0:10:56and therefore teams do not know how to deal with him?

0:10:56 > 0:10:58Will he find next year harder?

0:10:58 > 0:10:59I do not think so.

0:10:59 > 0:11:01The reason why I say it is Sean Peyton is just

0:11:01 > 0:11:03an offensive genius of a football coach.

0:11:03 > 0:11:06He knows exactly how to utilise all his football players.

0:11:06 > 0:11:09Now if you start to key on Kamara, he's going to change up his game

0:11:09 > 0:11:12plan and start doing something else until you decide to pay attention

0:11:12 > 0:11:14to who he wants out there.

0:11:14 > 0:11:17So he is going to find different ways to get Kamara open no matter

0:11:17 > 0:11:18what the defence tries to do.

0:11:18 > 0:11:20Why did he go so low?

0:11:20 > 0:11:22Why did he go in the third round of the draft?

0:11:22 > 0:11:25Listen, if you could pick them correctly right now, we would put

0:11:25 > 0:11:26all our money behind you!

0:11:26 > 0:11:28I mean, it is hard.

0:11:28 > 0:11:29Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

0:11:29 > 0:11:30Right, exactly.

0:11:30 > 0:11:33I think he had one year as a starter in college.

0:11:33 > 0:11:36I mean, you just don't know what you always get when it comes

0:11:36 > 0:11:38to a guy coming out of college in the league.

0:11:38 > 0:11:41You kind of know the talent is there but until you get him

0:11:41 > 0:11:44in your facility and get him on the field, you don't

0:11:44 > 0:11:45know what you have.

0:11:45 > 0:11:47What round did you get picked in, Greg?

0:11:47 > 0:11:49I got picked in the second round.

0:11:49 > 0:11:51You see, so not all great players go in the first round.

0:11:51 > 0:11:53Sometimes they fall to the second, third rounds.

0:11:53 > 0:11:55And he is just a prime example of that.

0:11:55 > 0:11:56Or no round!

0:11:56 > 0:11:58Or no round!

0:11:58 > 0:11:59Exactly.

0:11:59 > 0:12:00I'm here, I'm here!

0:12:00 > 0:12:04If it is a big win for New Orleans, it is a big defeat for Carolina,

0:12:04 > 0:12:05given the fixtures they have got left.

0:12:05 > 0:12:08They have got Minnesota, Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers could be back for that

0:12:08 > 0:12:09game against Carolina.

0:12:09 > 0:12:13They have got Tampa Bay as well and they have got to go to Atlanta.

0:12:13 > 0:12:16So I mean in the context of the rest of their season,

0:12:16 > 0:12:17that is a huge loss.

0:12:17 > 0:12:21It is a huge loss and for me it is more of a huge loss

0:12:21 > 0:12:23because Carolina is one of those teams that rides off emotion

0:12:23 > 0:12:26because their leader in Cam Newton is such an emotional player.

0:12:26 > 0:12:30When he is going really well, when he is emotionally high,

0:12:30 > 0:12:32that team is typically winning.

0:12:32 > 0:12:35When he is not, they're not.

0:12:35 > 0:12:39But one thing we should all watch, typically when Cam Newton suffers

0:12:39 > 0:12:42a loss and the Carolina Panthers lose, he bounces back

0:12:42 > 0:12:45with an extremely strong game.

0:12:45 > 0:12:47So Minnesota are going to have their hands full.

0:12:47 > 0:12:53It is going to be a mouthwatering game.

0:12:53 > 0:12:56We're going on the road this week for a special NFL Show

0:12:56 > 0:12:57coming from Atlanta.

0:12:57 > 0:13:00We'll bring you a behind the scenes look at their stunning

0:13:00 > 0:13:03new $1.6 billion stadium and give you highlights of the Falcons NFC

0:13:03 > 0:13:06South match-up against New Orleans on Thursday, as well as look ahead

0:13:06 > 0:13:07to week 14 with some special guests.

0:13:07 > 0:13:10That's all from 11.55pm on BBC One after Match of the Day.

0:13:10 > 0:13:17You can also catch everything on the iPlayer.

0:13:17 > 0:13:21Right let's take a look at some of the other week 13 games.

0:13:21 > 0:13:24And we are going to start with the game between

0:13:24 > 0:13:26the Vikings and the Falcons.

0:13:26 > 0:13:29And Case Keenum marched the Vikings to Atlanta

0:13:29 > 0:13:33and took down the Falcons.

0:13:33 > 0:13:35McKinnon's two yard touchdown catch put the Vikings up

0:13:35 > 0:13:36in the second quarter.

0:13:36 > 0:13:40Matt Bryant kept the Falcons in it with three field goals.

0:13:40 > 0:13:42But Kyle Rudolph sealed it for the Vikings.

0:13:42 > 0:13:43Is he your mate?

0:13:43 > 0:13:44Yes, I like him.

0:13:44 > 0:13:46He signed an autograph for my friend's son.

0:13:46 > 0:13:47Good dude.

0:13:47 > 0:13:50Well, that counts as a friend in your book!

0:13:50 > 0:13:53Anyhow, Vikings have won eight on the bounce.

0:13:53 > 0:13:56Greg, you were doing this game for television, calling this game.

0:13:56 > 0:13:58Jamies Winston back after a three-week injury lay-off.

0:13:58 > 0:14:01He had an awful second quarter.

0:14:01 > 0:14:05He popped the ball up to Dean Lowery to put them ten up.

0:14:05 > 0:14:07Green Bay just hanging in until Rogers gets back.

0:14:07 > 0:14:10They are.

0:14:10 > 0:14:14And what I have noticed is that team morale is high.

0:14:14 > 0:14:17That may have something to do with that 12 guy looming

0:14:17 > 0:14:19in the wings waiting for his arrival.

0:14:19 > 0:14:21And if they can hang in, they might still have a chance

0:14:21 > 0:14:27of making the play-offs.

0:14:27 > 0:14:29Aaron Jones's touchdown there winning it in overtime.

0:14:29 > 0:14:31And the Packers go to six and six.

0:14:31 > 0:14:32The Rampant Rams scored two first-quarter

0:14:32 > 0:14:33touchdowns in this game.

0:14:33 > 0:14:40Including that interception.

0:14:40 > 0:14:43You do wonder how that was not seen.

0:14:43 > 0:14:47Because he's a big lad.

0:14:47 > 0:14:49Anyhow, Arizona two touchdowns in a row, including that one

0:14:49 > 0:14:51to Larry Fitzgerald.

0:14:51 > 0:14:54Sammy Watkins helped the Rams pull away, they are nine and three now

0:14:54 > 0:14:58on top of the NFC West.

0:14:58 > 0:15:01The AFC East overlords, the New England Patriots squared

0:15:01 > 0:15:02off against the Bills.

0:15:02 > 0:15:04First-half field goal fest.

0:15:04 > 0:15:06The Patriots pulled away in the third quarter.

0:15:06 > 0:15:07Two Rex Burkhead touchdowns.

0:15:07 > 0:15:11He has now had four in the last two.

0:15:11 > 0:15:13They will find anybody to run the ball there!

0:15:13 > 0:15:14They will find anybody.

0:15:14 > 0:15:17In the fourth quarter Tre'Davious White picked Tom Brady.

0:15:17 > 0:15:19Rob Gronkowski did that, which we will discuss a little

0:15:19 > 0:15:22bit more in a moment.

0:15:22 > 0:15:25He got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

0:15:25 > 0:15:28The Patriots are now at ten and two.

0:15:28 > 0:15:31And this was a little feisty clash on Monday evening.

0:15:31 > 0:15:34Between the Bengals and the Steelers.

0:15:34 > 0:15:37The Bengals went 17 - nil up in the first half thanks

0:15:37 > 0:15:39to a couple of touchdowns to AJ Green.

0:15:39 > 0:15:42The second half belonged to the Steelers, though.

0:15:42 > 0:15:45Le'Veon Bell went in from 33 yards, partly due to the fact the Bengals

0:15:45 > 0:15:49just decided not to tackle him!

0:15:49 > 0:15:51He didn't even touch him!

0:15:51 > 0:15:54I know.

0:15:54 > 0:15:58Antonio Brown took that and a huge hit.

0:15:58 > 0:16:00That is a tackle.

0:16:00 > 0:16:03And they won it with Chris Boswell kicking that field goal.

0:16:03 > 0:16:07As time expired.

0:16:07 > 0:16:11Like, what!

0:16:11 > 0:16:12You know Case Keenum.

0:16:12 > 0:16:17You live in Minneapolis.

0:16:17 > 0:16:19I love Case Keenum, I do!

0:16:19 > 0:16:22He came across as such a nice guy on All Or Nothing.

0:16:22 > 0:16:23He has been much maligned.

0:16:23 > 0:16:25What he is doing at the moment is fantastic.

0:16:25 > 0:16:26Absolutely.

0:16:26 > 0:16:29He has got that team to rally behind him.

0:16:29 > 0:16:32And more importantly he knows who he is.

0:16:32 > 0:16:38He knows he is a tough quarterback that can get it done

0:16:38 > 0:16:39if given opportunities.

0:16:39 > 0:16:41And he is in a great system.

0:16:41 > 0:16:44He has a great arsenal around him, that offensive line is blocking

0:16:44 > 0:16:45tremendous right now.

0:16:45 > 0:16:48And he has the support of a defence that gets him the ball back

0:16:48 > 0:16:56and gives that offence more opportunities every Sunday.

0:16:56 > 0:16:59It is good, we should root for the nice guys sometimes.

0:16:59 > 0:17:00You know I'm a Minnesota fan!

0:17:00 > 0:17:01Come on!

0:17:01 > 0:17:04You laughed at me for saying Case Keenum seems like a nice guy!

0:17:04 > 0:17:07I have never seen you say it like that, it makes me very

0:17:07 > 0:17:09happy that you said that.

0:17:09 > 0:17:10I mean, I like the guy.

0:17:10 > 0:17:13You know what is crazy is how good he is versus the pressure.

0:17:13 > 0:17:16You would think a guy like him that hasn't had the experience,

0:17:16 > 0:17:17that would rattle him.

0:17:17 > 0:17:19But he makes all good throws under pressure.

0:17:19 > 0:17:21Going into this game, Atlanta had the best offence

0:17:21 > 0:17:22in converting third down.

0:17:22 > 0:17:24And Minnesota had the best defence in stopping third down.

0:17:24 > 0:17:27And Minnesota came out on top in this game in stopping

0:17:27 > 0:17:28the third down from Atlanta.

0:17:28 > 0:17:29Yes, they did.

0:17:29 > 0:17:31That Minnesota defence is outstanding.

0:17:31 > 0:17:32They are good on every single level.

0:17:32 > 0:17:35Rush, linebacker and also secondary.

0:17:35 > 0:17:38Going back to Case Keenum, I know we all like him,

0:17:38 > 0:17:41I know we all love him, we think he is a great person.

0:17:41 > 0:17:43But in my opinion, there is no way this can continue

0:17:43 > 0:17:44throughout the season.

0:17:44 > 0:17:46Not with this defence.

0:17:46 > 0:17:49No way.

0:17:49 > 0:17:52Absolutely no way he's going to be able to continue this

0:17:52 > 0:17:53throughout this season.

0:17:53 > 0:17:56At some point he is going to come down in the worst possible

0:17:56 > 0:17:57moment, mark my words.

0:17:57 > 0:18:00You are just talking just to have a conversation about nothing.

0:18:00 > 0:18:02I said that about Alex Smith.

0:18:02 > 0:18:05We're going to move on!

0:18:05 > 0:18:07Just like you said this offence would beat this

0:18:07 > 0:18:08defence, and what happened.

0:18:08 > 0:18:11Remember this conversation, that is all I'm going to say.

0:18:11 > 0:18:14He has to literally plummet, bottom out, with the way their defence

0:18:14 > 0:18:17plays and getting him the ball back.

0:18:17 > 0:18:20And stifling other offensive opponents.

0:18:20 > 0:18:23You are saying that he is going to, that is going to happen?

0:18:23 > 0:18:26I'm telling you, at some point this season, at the worst possible

0:18:26 > 0:18:28moment, the old Case Keenum of the Houston Texans,

0:18:28 > 0:18:31the Case Keenum of the Los Angeles Rams of last year,

0:18:31 > 0:18:33is going to show up at the Minnesota Vikings!

0:18:33 > 0:18:34Different team, different person.

0:18:34 > 0:18:36And he's got a great defence.

0:18:36 > 0:18:40You know, he knows what he has to do and he will do it well.

0:18:40 > 0:18:41I'm just looking at the date!

0:18:41 > 0:18:43I am rolling with this!

0:18:43 > 0:18:46While you three keep arguing, I just want to show you some stuff

0:18:46 > 0:18:47from the Patriots game.

0:18:47 > 0:18:50The first involves Tom Brady.

0:18:50 > 0:18:53And his argument with his offensive coordinator,

0:18:53 > 0:18:55Josh McDaniels, during the game.

0:18:55 > 0:18:59It was an incomplete pass to Brandin Cooks.

0:18:59 > 0:19:03What is brilliant about this is that the argument is seen

0:19:03 > 0:19:08through the voice now of Tony Romo.

0:19:08 > 0:19:13Yeah, you're going to see Josh like, oh, he was open.

0:19:13 > 0:19:15And Thomas like, you know what, I know he was open.

0:19:15 > 0:19:17You know what, I know he was open!

0:19:17 > 0:19:18I know it!

0:19:18 > 0:19:21Just Tom, I'm just telling you...

0:19:21 > 0:19:22Do you like that?

0:19:22 > 0:19:24Do you like the arguments sometimes?

0:19:24 > 0:19:26Are they just searching for perfection?

0:19:26 > 0:19:29I like them when they're not directed towards me!

0:19:29 > 0:19:30That is what is happening out there.

0:19:30 > 0:19:32That is a little bit of a laugh.

0:19:32 > 0:19:34This is not, what Rob Gronkowski did.

0:19:34 > 0:19:36He has got a one match ban for this.

0:19:36 > 0:19:39Now whether he will appeal it or not, I don't know.

0:19:39 > 0:19:42But how would you describe this, Osi?

0:19:42 > 0:19:45I cannot even use the word that I would use to describe this.

0:19:45 > 0:19:46Cowardly?

0:19:46 > 0:19:49Not cowardly, I do not think he is a coward.

0:19:49 > 0:19:50This is just stupid.

0:19:50 > 0:19:51This is just dumb.

0:19:51 > 0:19:54And we are not wrestling, we not out here playing the WWE.

0:19:54 > 0:19:56This is a national Football League.

0:19:56 > 0:19:59The guy might have been holding you, you might have got locked up.

0:19:59 > 0:20:02And then you go and do something so stupid.

0:20:02 > 0:20:05I mean, he threw all his weight into the head of an opponent

0:20:05 > 0:20:06who was lying on the ground.

0:20:06 > 0:20:09That could have seriously injured Tre'Davious White.

0:20:09 > 0:20:10Without question.

0:20:10 > 0:20:12At the end of the day this is a fraternity.

0:20:12 > 0:20:15You are playing football games, you're competing in your intensity.

0:20:15 > 0:20:21You get emotionally involved, heavily, obviously.

0:20:21 > 0:20:24But at the end of the day you are not out there hurting someone.

0:20:24 > 0:20:26You would not want anybody doing that to you.

0:20:26 > 0:20:31So I was thoroughly disappointed with his actions.

0:20:31 > 0:20:34You know what, you made a point that resonated with me.

0:20:34 > 0:20:36He does all that wrestling and stuff on off-season, he thought

0:20:36 > 0:20:37he was out there wrestling.

0:20:37 > 0:20:40Just like you said, you have got to take care

0:20:40 > 0:20:41of your brother out there.

0:20:41 > 0:20:43We have got to look out for each other.

0:20:43 > 0:20:45OK, onto the next game.

0:20:45 > 0:20:47What's not to love about this next game?

0:20:47 > 0:20:49Two top quarterbacks in Seattle's Russell Wilson

0:20:49 > 0:20:50and Carson Wentz of the 10-1 Eagles.

0:20:50 > 0:20:53Philadelphia had a chance to secure the NFC East, but for Seattle,

0:20:53 > 0:20:56not only an opportunity to keep in touch with divisional rivals

0:20:56 > 0:20:59the LA Rams, but a reminder to Philadelphia 4 years ago

0:20:59 > 0:21:06they were the young upstarts.

0:21:07 > 0:21:09The wheels of history are turning.

0:21:09 > 0:21:11Going into week 13, ten and one, a second-year quarterback

0:21:11 > 0:21:14driving his team on.

0:21:14 > 0:21:20Russell Wilson and the Super Bowl champions of four seasons past.

0:21:20 > 0:21:23Going into week 13, ten and one, a second-year quarterback

0:21:23 > 0:21:25driving his team on.

0:21:25 > 0:21:28Carson Wentz and the Eagles.

0:21:28 > 0:21:38Today, Wentz or Wilson, we will see.

0:21:39 > 0:21:42COMMENTARY: Ball at the 11.

0:21:42 > 0:21:45Within seconds of the quarter.

0:21:45 > 0:21:48Wilson, throw in, caught.

0:21:48 > 0:21:51Jimmy Graham, smoking hot in the red zone.

0:21:51 > 0:21:54And that is the first touchdown Philadelphia is allowed in the first

0:21:54 > 0:21:56quarter of this season.

0:21:56 > 0:22:00You will see him go out and up, outside receiver comes up,

0:22:00 > 0:22:01just disrupts Jenkins enough, cannot get his head

0:22:01 > 0:22:05turned back around.

0:22:05 > 0:22:08STUDIO: The Eagles clawed back three points in the second quarter thanks

0:22:08 > 0:22:11to Jake Elliott's 26 yard field goal.

0:22:11 > 0:22:19It was 10-3 going into half-time.

0:22:19 > 0:22:21COMMENTARY: And Wentz off to fake.

0:22:21 > 0:22:30Benson fires.

0:22:30 > 0:22:33Caught for a 1st & goal by Jeffrey who takes the ball

0:22:33 > 0:22:34inside the five yard line.

0:22:34 > 0:22:35Second down and goal.

0:22:35 > 0:22:38Wentz keeps it himself does he get into the end zone,

0:22:38 > 0:22:41the ball is going to pop out of the end zone.

0:22:41 > 0:22:44The question is did he come across the line with the ball.

0:22:44 > 0:22:47For the moment they're going to rule a touchback.

0:22:47 > 0:22:49The runner front of the ball in the field of play.

0:22:49 > 0:22:52It went out of the endzone resulting in a touchdown.

0:22:52 > 0:22:55Seattle's ball.

0:22:55 > 0:22:58Pretty clear that Wentz lost the ball before he crossed the line

0:22:58 > 0:23:02and the smart play was made to let the ball go out of the endzone.

0:23:02 > 0:23:05You don't want to batter it out if you are the Seahawks here.

0:23:05 > 0:23:07A little initial credit to Clark to get it out.

0:23:07 > 0:23:13And then it looked like Sheldon Richardson stripped it out of there.

0:23:13 > 0:23:16And Wilson throws.

0:23:16 > 0:23:18Doug Baldwin, to the endzone!

0:23:18 > 0:23:20Touchdown.

0:23:20 > 0:23:22You will see no safety in the middle field,

0:23:22 > 0:23:27which means Rodney McLeod, the safety, has to cover

0:23:27 > 0:23:29one-on-one against Doug Baldwin.

0:23:29 > 0:23:31And it takes a gutsy quarterback to make that throw.

0:23:31 > 0:23:33Did that foot hit the ground?

0:23:33 > 0:23:35Does he get it in?

0:23:35 > 0:23:37Is it scraping?

0:23:37 > 0:23:38Review.

0:23:38 > 0:23:41The runner's foot dragged out of bounds, the ball

0:23:41 > 0:23:42at the one yard line.

0:23:42 > 0:23:44It will be Seattle's ball.

0:23:44 > 0:23:461st & goal at the one.

0:23:46 > 0:23:503rd and goal.

0:23:50 > 0:23:51Wilson looking for a win.

0:23:51 > 0:23:53Touchdown.

0:23:53 > 0:23:55Lockett.

0:23:55 > 0:23:57Like going to the dentist.

0:23:57 > 0:24:00They thought they had a touchdown and then all of a sudden you've got

0:24:00 > 0:24:02a 3rd and goal and in they go.

0:24:02 > 0:24:04Here you go.

0:24:04 > 0:24:07And what happens is all the traffic, there is just no way to get

0:24:07 > 0:24:08through as a defender.

0:24:08 > 0:24:10You see Mills and it wasn't a pick.

0:24:10 > 0:24:14But there's just no way to be able to move your way through there.

0:24:14 > 0:24:19Wilson saw it all the way.

0:24:19 > 0:24:22Only a three-man rush this time.

0:24:22 > 0:24:24The pressure put on Wentz.

0:24:24 > 0:24:29They almost get him from behind.

0:24:29 > 0:24:34Agholor into Seattle territory.

0:24:34 > 0:24:38So Wentz on a three-man rush under pressure, the 51 yard gain.

0:24:38 > 0:24:40This is unbelievable.

0:24:40 > 0:24:42Watch this throw, falling down, getting tackled, and gets it

0:24:42 > 0:24:46about 45 yards down the field.

0:24:46 > 0:24:50I don't think that Byron Maxwell thought he could throw it that far.

0:24:50 > 0:24:52Three receivers all set to the left side.

0:24:52 > 0:24:56Play clocked at one.

0:24:56 > 0:24:59Wentz steps up, avoid it, throws to the end zone.

0:24:59 > 0:25:01Caught, Agholor for the touchdown.

0:25:01 > 0:25:10Over Maxwell again to make it a one possession game.

0:25:10 > 0:25:12Escaping the pressure, keeping his eyes up the field

0:25:12 > 0:25:17and finding space down the field for Agholor.

0:25:17 > 0:25:19Another 3rd down here, 3rd & 9.

0:25:19 > 0:25:23Four man rush.

0:25:23 > 0:25:24Wilson stepping up.

0:25:24 > 0:25:27Going to run 40, going to flip the ball to Davis.

0:25:27 > 0:25:28The 35-yard line.

0:25:28 > 0:25:30Philadelphia are going to contend that it was a forward pass.

0:25:30 > 0:25:36For the moment it is ruled a backward pass.

0:25:36 > 0:25:41It looked like it was at the very least right down the line.

0:25:41 > 0:25:43Let's see if we can get any marks.

0:25:43 > 0:25:44Oh, boy.

0:25:44 > 0:25:45That's close.

0:25:45 > 0:25:462nd & 11, halfway through the quarter.

0:25:46 > 0:25:49Man coverage for Graham.

0:25:49 > 0:25:54And Wilson is going to throw, McKissic for the score.

0:25:54 > 0:26:00The plan was to put a cornerback or at least a safety all night long

0:26:00 > 0:26:04The plan was to put a cornerback or at least a safety all night long

0:26:12 > 0:26:14That time, Kendricks, a linebacker, biting on the slant and go route

0:26:14 > 0:26:16and that was too easy.

0:26:16 > 0:26:21But it's 4th down, down by 14, you've got 5.48.

0:26:21 > 0:26:25Pressure again, fires too high.

0:26:25 > 0:26:28Turning over on downs.

0:26:28 > 0:26:30Third and four.

0:26:30 > 0:26:34Wilson is going to get swallowed up at the 33-yard line.

0:26:34 > 0:26:37That's Barnett, the rookie, coming in for the sack, so it's 4th down.

0:26:37 > 0:26:40Philadelphia will get the ball back as the clock continues to run

0:26:40 > 0:26:41down to four minutes.

0:26:41 > 0:26:43Three receivers set to the right.

0:26:43 > 0:26:46They break back now.

0:26:46 > 0:26:49Wentz rolling away, going to air it out again.

0:26:49 > 0:26:57Double coverage and picked off by Maxwell, Byron Maxwell.

0:26:57 > 0:27:02They've burned him a couple of times tonight but he has the final answer.

0:27:02 > 0:27:05The Seattle Seahawks withstanding the losses of two thirds

0:27:05 > 0:27:08of the Legion of Boom.

0:27:08 > 0:27:13Russell Wilson continues to have another spectacular year.

0:27:13 > 0:27:15Russell was spectacular tonight.

0:27:15 > 0:27:18I just thought that the stuff he was able to create,

0:27:18 > 0:27:20it doesn't really show up in the stats.

0:27:20 > 0:27:22Amazing night of football and it was fun to watch.

0:27:22 > 0:27:24I love it, I hope you guys did too.

0:27:24 > 0:27:27Those guys make me look good, I just try and make the players,

0:27:27 > 0:27:30continue to trust in them and what they are doing

0:27:30 > 0:27:31and we always find a way.

0:27:31 > 0:27:34The guys in the locker room, we are all mature, we'll

0:27:34 > 0:27:37all respond just fine.

0:27:37 > 0:27:39We are all frustrated by this one but we not too worried,

0:27:39 > 0:27:43I think we'll be just fine.

0:27:43 > 0:27:46As Pete Carroll said it was a very enjoyable game to watch,

0:27:46 > 0:27:49mainly because of the performance of Russell Wilson who was just

0:27:49 > 0:27:50sensational, wasn't he?

0:27:50 > 0:27:53No question about it, this is an MVP calibre quarterback

0:27:53 > 0:27:57having an outstanding season and he does this with hardly

0:27:57 > 0:27:58any help out there.

0:27:58 > 0:28:03Makes all the plays for that football team.

0:28:03 > 0:28:05Defensively we all know what they are lacking.

0:28:05 > 0:28:06This guy is balling.

0:28:06 > 0:28:09Don't you think he's playing better now they've got Wayne Brown, though?

0:28:09 > 0:28:10Oh, yeah.

0:28:10 > 0:28:12His game has changed now that he's got that

0:28:12 > 0:28:13protection on the left side.

0:28:13 > 0:28:17In the fourth quarter he makes magic happen.

0:28:17 > 0:28:19Without question.

0:28:19 > 0:28:21If you sure the left, as a quarterback, when you drop

0:28:21 > 0:28:23back, you know that your back is secure, everything

0:28:23 > 0:28:24else becomes so easy.

0:28:24 > 0:28:27That's what we're seeing.

0:28:27 > 0:28:34Now, what we're seeing, it isn't that easy for everybody else.

0:28:34 > 0:28:36So it's special, what he's doing.

0:28:36 > 0:28:39It's unbelievable, what he's been able to do to catapult this team

0:28:39 > 0:28:42and put them in position, they are within striking distance.

0:28:42 > 0:28:43They are.

0:28:43 > 0:28:47They still have to play the Rams as well, who play Philadelphia this

0:28:47 > 0:28:50week too which could open up the NFC West a little bit.

0:28:50 > 0:28:52But he's going to have display at that level

0:28:52 > 0:28:56for the rest of the season because of deficiencies elsewhere.

0:28:56 > 0:29:00I think he's almost 90% of the offense, as he goes, they go.

0:29:00 > 0:29:04And he has to stay on it, he can't have a bad game or play.

0:29:04 > 0:29:09In the first couple of minutes of watching the highlights,

0:29:09 > 0:29:13the Case Keenum argument was still continuing!

0:29:13 > 0:29:18You said it's a quarterback league.

0:29:18 > 0:29:22Even in defeat, Carson Wentz showed his special magic as well.

0:29:22 > 0:29:27No question, he showed some of the things that make this guy one

0:29:27 > 0:29:30of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL.

0:29:30 > 0:29:32The arm strength, the accuracy, the vision, the footwork

0:29:32 > 0:29:33inside the pocket.

0:29:33 > 0:29:37This guy is a good young quarterback and he's tough also and I think

0:29:37 > 0:29:38that's what makes him special.

0:29:38 > 0:29:40Yeah, you know one thing I was thinking, you know

0:29:40 > 0:29:42when you are winning, coaches don't really evaluate

0:29:42 > 0:29:45the things you've done wrong, they push it to the side

0:29:45 > 0:29:46because you're winning.

0:29:46 > 0:29:49Almost this loss helps them go back and everything he hasn't been doing

0:29:49 > 0:29:52correctly they can nit-pick this week and maybe that helps them

0:29:52 > 0:29:53for the rest of the run.

0:29:53 > 0:29:56You may be the wrong person to ask this to,

0:29:56 > 0:29:58but given that Minnesota and Philadelphia have identical

0:29:58 > 0:30:00records at the moment, who would you lean towards?

0:30:00 > 0:30:01Honestly,...

0:30:01 > 0:30:02Yeah, Greg!

0:30:02 > 0:30:06We only deal in honesty on this show!

0:30:06 > 0:30:12It's hard to go against a Mike Zimmer defense

0:30:12 > 0:30:15but when I look at what Carson Wentz and this offense is able

0:30:15 > 0:30:18to do as far as posing a threat to a defense,

0:30:18 > 0:30:21as athletic a defense as Minnesota have, one thing I saw

0:30:21 > 0:30:24even with Carson Wentz, in this loss, getting

0:30:24 > 0:30:28on his players, players who are older than him.

0:30:28 > 0:30:30He's established himself as a leader because he understands,

0:30:30 > 0:30:34as I go, this team goes.

0:30:34 > 0:30:38So to answer your question, I'd go with the Eagles.

0:30:38 > 0:30:41If they are in Philly.

0:30:41 > 0:30:45Kansas City started the season 5 wins from 5.

0:30:45 > 0:30:48Quarterback Alex Smith was the greatest of all time...

0:30:48 > 0:30:51It's a long story, Greg!

0:30:51 > 0:30:56And the Chiefs were coasting in the AFC West.

0:30:56 > 0:31:00Heading into week 13 and it's one win from six and Alex Smith stinks,

0:31:00 > 0:31:03that's how Kansas City journalists have described him in recent weeks.

0:31:03 > 0:31:06Looking to stop the rot and ward off divisional predators,

0:31:06 > 0:31:15they headed to New York to face the Jets.

0:31:15 > 0:31:18A couple of tight ends set, Kelce and Harris.

0:31:18 > 0:31:202nd & 10.

0:31:20 > 0:31:23Fake it, Smith has time.

0:31:23 > 0:31:25Smith fires.

0:31:25 > 0:31:29Touchdown, Travis Kelce.

0:31:29 > 0:31:32Wilson does a good job of clearing out, taking Clayborn deep and no

0:31:32 > 0:31:35one there for Kelce.

0:31:35 > 0:31:37Touchdown number six on the season.

0:31:37 > 0:31:40Last two games, the Chiefs put up six points the first half.

0:31:40 > 0:31:41They already have a touchdown here.

0:31:41 > 0:31:42Fake it.

0:31:42 > 0:31:43Smith steps up.

0:31:43 > 0:31:45Deep ball, got a man, it's Kelce!

0:31:45 > 0:31:46Touchdown.

0:31:46 > 0:31:48A rainbow delivery from Smith.

0:31:48 > 0:31:53This looks like the Kansas City offense from the first five weeks.

0:31:53 > 0:31:58Handoff, Powell on the outside and he's in, touchdown, Jets.

0:31:58 > 0:32:01McCown, play fake.

0:32:01 > 0:32:04McCown, downfield.

0:32:04 > 0:32:06Jermaine Kearse, big connection on the deep ball.

0:32:06 > 0:32:112nd & goal, McCown will try it again.

0:32:11 > 0:32:15The officials come together, the Jets are indicating

0:32:15 > 0:32:18touchdown and they get it.

0:32:18 > 0:32:20Touchdown, Jets.

0:32:20 > 0:32:23Harrison Butker's 36 yard field goal gave the Chiefs a 3-point lead

0:32:23 > 0:32:28with less than three minutes left in the second.

0:32:28 > 0:32:313rd & goal.

0:32:31 > 0:32:33McCown, guns it.

0:32:33 > 0:32:35Caught.

0:32:35 > 0:32:36Blasted.

0:32:36 > 0:32:38Forte, touchdown, Jets.

0:32:38 > 0:32:44Chandler Catanzaro's 27 yard field goal extended the Jets' lead

0:32:44 > 0:32:47to 24-17 with five other half minutes left in the third quarter.

0:32:47 > 0:32:50First-time Kansas City have had the ball in this second half.

0:32:50 > 0:32:52Coming at the 5.23 mark in the third.

0:32:52 > 0:32:56Down by seven.

0:32:56 > 0:33:00Time is in possession has been dominant in favour of the Jets.

0:33:00 > 0:33:07Smith, deep ball, separation.

0:33:07 > 0:33:09Tyreek Hill.

0:33:09 > 0:33:10Goodbye, Hill.

0:33:10 > 0:33:11Touchdown, Kansas City.

0:33:11 > 0:33:15He let Hill run underneath this one as he goes blowing past Robinson.

0:33:15 > 0:33:19Fastest player in the NFL.

0:33:19 > 0:33:21Longest pass play of the season to Hill.

0:33:21 > 0:33:2279 yards.

0:33:22 > 0:33:24The Jets responded with Catanzaro's 47 yard field goal to

0:33:24 > 0:33:26take a 3-point lead.

0:33:26 > 0:33:30Catanzaro then extended it to six points with another field goal

0:33:30 > 0:33:35on their first possession of the fourth quarter.

0:33:35 > 0:33:432nd & 8 Connor Smith.

0:33:43 > 0:33:45The shot.

0:33:45 > 0:33:46Smith, he has Hill.

0:33:46 > 0:33:50Touchdown!

0:33:50 > 0:33:54There's no safety in the middle of the field so this is a track meet

0:33:54 > 0:34:00again and Number 10 is going to win.

0:34:00 > 0:34:04Clayborn's eyes are on the ball.

0:34:04 > 0:34:07Hauling it in.

0:34:07 > 0:34:10And a short field goal here for Catanzaro to put

0:34:10 > 0:34:14the Jets back in front.

0:34:14 > 0:34:17Chip shot, 21 yards.

0:34:17 > 0:34:19Hennessy will snap it.

0:34:19 > 0:34:2021 yards, curling it through.

0:34:20 > 0:34:21And a flag thrown.

0:34:21 > 0:34:23Again, was there a Chief in the neutral zone?

0:34:23 > 0:34:26I don't think they'll take these points off the board, though.

0:34:26 > 0:34:27No, it's a personal foul.

0:34:27 > 0:34:281st down.

0:34:28 > 0:34:29That's different.

0:34:29 > 0:34:30Personal foul, defense.

0:34:30 > 0:34:32They hit the center snap.

0:34:32 > 0:34:33It to a defenceless player, the center.

0:34:33 > 0:34:35Hennessy, the snapper, right in the middle.

0:34:35 > 0:34:36Logan with a personal foul.

0:34:36 > 0:34:38It could be an expensive one for Andy Reid's team.

0:34:38 > 0:34:40Could be a game changer.

0:34:40 > 0:34:41The 14th play of the drive.

0:34:41 > 0:34:423rd & goal.

0:34:42 > 0:34:45McCown, using his body.

0:34:45 > 0:34:49The officials are going to peel off the pile.

0:34:49 > 0:34:52Touchdown, Jets.

0:34:52 > 0:34:56McCown gets in.

0:34:56 > 0:34:57Indicating they'll go for two.

0:34:57 > 0:35:00A pivotal two point try here for New York.

0:35:00 > 0:35:01McCown.

0:35:01 > 0:35:02Moving pocket.

0:35:02 > 0:35:04McCown, nothing on that side.

0:35:04 > 0:35:06McCown, desperation throw.

0:35:06 > 0:35:11Flag down.

0:35:11 > 0:35:14They are going to get Nelson for holding.

0:35:14 > 0:35:17So that is three penalties potentially on this play

0:35:17 > 0:35:21against the Chiefs.

0:35:21 > 0:35:26He took the flag!

0:35:26 > 0:35:29A flag ended up in the stands.

0:35:29 > 0:35:31Peters is being escorted off.

0:35:31 > 0:35:33After the play, unsportsmanlike conduct, defense, number 22.

0:35:33 > 0:35:34That's been declined.

0:35:34 > 0:35:37Prior to the pass, holding, defense, number 20.

0:35:37 > 0:35:43That is accepted, half the distance to the goal.

0:35:43 > 0:35:47The ball is starting inside the one.

0:35:47 > 0:35:55The Jets are going for two.

0:35:56 > 0:35:58They want Maguire's speed and getting the angle for two.

0:35:58 > 0:36:00Smith letting it fly.

0:36:00 > 0:36:03Hill makes the catch for Kansas City!

0:36:03 > 0:36:0754 seconds to play.

0:36:07 > 0:36:10They bunched three receivers on one side.

0:36:10 > 0:36:13Kelce set up by himself.

0:36:13 > 0:36:14Smith.

0:36:14 > 0:36:17Knocked down, Jamar Adams could have had a pick and that

0:36:17 > 0:36:18would have ended the game.

0:36:18 > 0:36:21Now it's 4th down.

0:36:21 > 0:36:23The Jets are trying to end it here.

0:36:23 > 0:36:2438-31, New York.

0:36:24 > 0:36:25Fourth and six for Kansas City.

0:36:25 > 0:36:26Smith, firing.

0:36:26 > 0:36:27Nobody home and it's over.

0:36:27 > 0:36:31The Jets will hold an and hand Kansas City a damaging loss.

0:36:31 > 0:36:35We talked about riding, right, until the wheels fall off!

0:36:35 > 0:36:37You hear me?

0:36:37 > 0:36:39Until the wheels fall off, that's how you close

0:36:39 > 0:36:41out a game, all right!

0:36:41 > 0:36:44And the home of the Jets, here we go, one, two, three.

0:36:44 > 0:36:50ALL:And the home of the Jets!

0:36:50 > 0:36:58As great as that is for the Jets we have to look at it...

0:36:58 > 0:37:01I don't know what you lot are talking about!

0:37:01 > 0:37:03We have to look at it from the Chiefs' perspective.

0:37:03 > 0:37:05And focus on the penalties that they gave away,

0:37:05 > 0:37:08eight in total but four on that game-winning drive from the Jets.

0:37:08 > 0:37:09They are beating themselves.

0:37:09 > 0:37:11Penalties are drive killers.

0:37:11 > 0:37:14Coach used to say, you get a penalty, your chances of scoring

0:37:14 > 0:37:15on that drive our down to like 20%.

0:37:15 > 0:37:19That is so undisciplined.

0:37:19 > 0:37:22There's no way you're going to win a game with that

0:37:22 > 0:37:27amount of penalties.

0:37:27 > 0:37:32One on that field goal, giving the Jets another chance,

0:37:32 > 0:37:35going for two points and then they committed a penalty,

0:37:35 > 0:37:39the flag got thrown.

0:37:39 > 0:37:42Someone who is prone to petty behaviour from time to time,

0:37:42 > 0:37:43this amused me greatly!

0:37:43 > 0:37:45As Marcus Peters through the flag into the crowd.

0:37:45 > 0:37:48He then I think thought he would be ejected from the game.

0:37:48 > 0:37:49So he...

0:37:49 > 0:37:52Well, he removed himself from the game with a big grin on his face.

0:37:52 > 0:37:55However he hadn't been ejected by the officials are so somebody

0:37:55 > 0:37:58went back to the locker room to get him and he came

0:37:58 > 0:37:59back half dressed.

0:37:59 > 0:38:02He might get fired by the NFL for coming out without

0:38:02 > 0:38:03the correct uniform.

0:38:03 > 0:38:05But all that confusion and calamity sums up the Chiefs.

0:38:05 > 0:38:07Yeah, he'd tabbed out of that game.

0:38:07 > 0:38:10He was frustrated because they are having issues with the other

0:38:10 > 0:38:11corner on the other side.

0:38:11 > 0:38:13We were talking about them bringing in Reeves.

0:38:13 > 0:38:16Number 20, Steve Nelson was having a horrendous game.

0:38:16 > 0:38:21Two of those penalties were on him and when you are Marcus Peters,

0:38:21 > 0:38:25you are a prime-time corner, he was frustrated.

0:38:25 > 0:38:28He saw it happen, he couldn't do anything about it and he cracked up.

0:38:28 > 0:38:31He did that in college.

0:38:31 > 0:38:33But you don't remove yourself from the game.

0:38:33 > 0:38:35If you were his team-mate you'd be fuming with him.

0:38:35 > 0:38:37I honestly wouldn't know what to do after that!

0:38:37 > 0:38:39I mean, I think he automatically thought, you know,

0:38:39 > 0:38:41I picked up the flag.

0:38:41 > 0:38:44I don't think I've ever seen that before.

0:38:44 > 0:38:48I didn't know the penalty for that.

0:38:48 > 0:38:53He probably thought he was going to get tossed.

0:38:53 > 0:38:56But this is just this has been the demise of them,

0:38:56 > 0:38:57the Chiefs, offensively, defensively, special team play.

0:38:57 > 0:39:00When you have been going in the wrong direction,

0:39:00 > 0:39:01it starts to look like this.

0:39:01 > 0:39:05They have to find a way, Alex Smith played good.

0:39:05 > 0:39:07Thank you for that.

0:39:07 > 0:39:11He did, he did.

0:39:11 > 0:39:13But when you have been going in the wrong direction,

0:39:13 > 0:39:15everything has to go right to write that ship.

0:39:15 > 0:39:18We'll look at the bigger picture in the AFC West shortly after we've

0:39:18 > 0:39:20looked at some of the other week 13 games.

0:39:20 > 0:39:23Right let's take a look at some of the other week 13 games.

0:39:23 > 0:39:26And let's start with the Giants against the Raiders.

0:39:26 > 0:39:27Under fire Ben McAdoo starting Geno Smith.

0:39:27 > 0:39:30New York football!

0:39:30 > 0:39:32At the expense of Eli Manning.

0:39:32 > 0:39:35Marshawn Lynch opened the scoring for Oakland with this 51 yard run.

0:39:35 > 0:39:38There was a ten yard touchdown pass from Smith to Engram in the fourth

0:39:38 > 0:39:40quarter which kept the Giants in the game.

0:39:40 > 0:39:44Derek Carr put Johnny Holton in to ensure that Oakland stay

0:39:44 > 0:39:48in the AFC West hunt.

0:39:48 > 0:39:50And on Monday, Ben McAdoo had to clear his hair

0:39:50 > 0:39:53gel out of his locker because he had been sacked.

0:39:53 > 0:39:55Winless Cleveland shocked the Chargers in this game

0:39:55 > 0:40:01with the opening score.

0:40:01 > 0:40:05LA struck back, Keenan Allen, ten catches for 105 yards.

0:40:05 > 0:40:09He is balling this year.

0:40:09 > 0:40:13And then Joey Bosa sealed it with that strip sack

0:40:13 > 0:40:16and the Chargers are very much closing in on the Chiefs.

0:40:16 > 0:40:19Jimmy Garappolo got his first start for the 49ers at Soldier Field

0:40:19 > 0:40:22in this drab affair.

0:40:22 > 0:40:25The best moment was this punt return from Tarik Cohen.

0:40:25 > 0:40:30It was given as 61 yards but actually you measure

0:40:30 > 0:40:33the distance he covered, you're probably up to around 80

0:40:33 > 0:40:35by the time he'd gone backwards and across the pitch.

0:40:35 > 0:40:39What do we say, special teams, special players?

0:40:39 > 0:40:40Special teams, special players.

0:40:40 > 0:40:44Jeff couldn't do that in a video game!

0:40:44 > 0:40:45LAUGHTER

0:40:45 > 0:40:46You're probably right!

0:40:46 > 0:40:49Robbie Gould kicked the 49 is to a 1-point victory

0:40:49 > 0:40:51with a perfect five from five display.

0:40:51 > 0:40:55Blake Bortles' Jaguars were always on top against the Colts.

0:40:55 > 0:41:00He's thrown for over 300 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

0:41:00 > 0:41:06That one to Keelan Cole.

0:41:06 > 0:41:10The Jaguars defense, absolutely fearsome again.

0:41:10 > 0:41:12That pick in the fourth quarter.

0:41:12 > 0:41:16The seventh time in 12 games they've conceded ten points or fewer.

0:41:16 > 0:41:19Jacksonville's AFC South rivals Tennessee hosted Houston.

0:41:19 > 0:41:20Savage.

0:41:20 > 0:41:24And the Texans started well through...

0:41:24 > 0:41:26Say it again?

0:41:26 > 0:41:30Savage.

0:41:30 > 0:41:33He didn't play bad.

0:41:33 > 0:41:40Yeah.

0:41:40 > 0:41:42That touchdown pass to Steven Anderson.

0:41:42 > 0:41:44They were 10-0 up.

0:41:44 > 0:41:46It didn't last, though.

0:41:46 > 0:41:48Marcus Mariota landed Walker in the third quarter and Henry had

0:41:48 > 0:41:51over 100 rushing yards including that 75 yard touchdown to seal it.

0:41:51 > 0:41:53Just give him the ball and it will go well.

0:41:53 > 0:41:55Eight and four, the Titans in that division.

0:41:55 > 0:41:57The Silverdome failed to blow up on Sunday.

0:41:57 > 0:42:00They are trying to get rid of Detroit's old home.

0:42:00 > 0:42:02And Detroit were about as successful as the company

0:42:02 > 0:42:03who installed that dynamite.

0:42:03 > 0:42:05Baltimore thrashing them in the end 44-20.

0:42:05 > 0:42:07Eric Weddle sealed it with that fourth-quarter pick six.

0:42:07 > 0:42:09That's the 20th interception for the Ravens this year

0:42:09 > 0:42:10and they are the league leaders.

0:42:10 > 0:42:13We have to start with the Giants, with two former Giants here.

0:42:13 > 0:42:18The right decision, to get rid of Ben McAdoo?

0:42:18 > 0:42:23I find it interesting, Jason, how you bench your two time

0:42:23 > 0:42:28Super Bowl winning player and all of a sudden,

0:42:28 > 0:42:31everybody gets fired.

0:42:31 > 0:42:34You would think that people would learn not

0:42:34 > 0:42:38to bench their two time Super Bowl...

0:42:38 > 0:42:43Oh!

0:42:43 > 0:42:46Some people like to keep doing that, but anyway.

0:42:46 > 0:42:48Been great working with you on the show!

0:42:48 > 0:42:49We've had lots of fun.

0:42:49 > 0:42:50I liked where that was going.

0:42:50 > 0:42:52Obviously it was the right decision.

0:42:52 > 0:42:53Eli Manning, outstanding professional.

0:42:53 > 0:42:55Might not have been having the best season this year.

0:42:55 > 0:42:56No, he has not.

0:42:56 > 0:42:58He hasn't, but he's carried himself the right way

0:42:58 > 0:43:00and there are different ways of handling this.

0:43:00 > 0:43:05They should have waited until after the season to say

0:43:05 > 0:43:08they are going to move on from Eli, he's given them 14 seasons.

0:43:08 > 0:43:10But to bench this man in the middle of the season,

0:43:10 > 0:43:13they are going nowhere, they had nothing to lose,

0:43:13 > 0:43:16so bringing in other people, I thought it was the wrong decision.

0:43:16 > 0:43:19It felt from the outside watching in as if Ben McAdoo had problems

0:43:19 > 0:43:23with players throughout a lock of his reign, all sorts

0:43:23 > 0:43:25of stories about fallings out and having to discipline them,

0:43:25 > 0:43:27so having to show his authority.

0:43:27 > 0:43:30It felt like the end had been coming for him for a little while.

0:43:30 > 0:43:33Do you have some sympathy for Jerry Reese, the general

0:43:33 > 0:43:36manager, who's been there since 1994 and worked his way up from part-time

0:43:36 > 0:43:37scout to general manager?

0:43:37 > 0:43:39A general manager behind two Super Bowl wins.

0:43:39 > 0:43:42Yeah and I like Jerry but in this case I don't because he should have

0:43:42 > 0:43:44been the one that goes, let's think about this,

0:43:44 > 0:43:46you know, let's slow down.

0:43:46 > 0:43:47The Eli bench?

0:43:47 > 0:43:50Let's think about this because Eli threw him for a curve,

0:43:50 > 0:43:52he said I'm not going for this, figure it out.

0:43:52 > 0:43:55That's when Jerry Reese should have said, let's slow down,

0:43:55 > 0:43:59let's reconsider how we're going to approach this,

0:43:59 > 0:44:02because we see what happened with the result, with what they thought

0:44:02 > 0:44:03was the right thing to do.

0:44:03 > 0:44:05As a neutral, what do you make of it?

0:44:05 > 0:44:08You see, I'm not in that locker room, I haven't won two

0:44:08 > 0:44:09Super Bowls with Eli.

0:44:09 > 0:44:11And the way they went about it was wrong, absolutely

0:44:11 > 0:44:16because when you look at it, it's almost as if they were saying,

0:44:16 > 0:44:20Eli is why we've been losing, this is why we've been performing

0:44:20 > 0:44:26this badly and that was clearly not the case.

0:44:26 > 0:44:32In their defense, Eli had been playing very poorly

0:44:32 > 0:44:35and when you look at an elite quarterback, I don't care

0:44:35 > 0:44:39how bad your team is, you depend on that quarterback

0:44:39 > 0:44:43to raise the level of play of everyone around you and he hadn't

0:44:43 > 0:44:44been able to do that.

0:44:44 > 0:44:45Again, that's a tall order.

0:44:45 > 0:44:47With all of the weapons he lost.

0:44:47 > 0:44:52But you've got to find a way to get some wins.

0:44:52 > 0:44:56I saw this coming with Ben McAdoo, he is more of a position coach

0:44:56 > 0:44:59guy than a head coach.

0:44:59 > 0:45:01Quickly because I want to do the AFC West.

0:45:01 > 0:45:05He's not a neutral, he knows Ben McAdoo very well!

0:45:05 > 0:45:08Just throwing that out there!

0:45:08 > 0:45:12As regards shirts worn, he is a neutral.

0:45:12 > 0:45:15AFC West, if you were going to put a pound on,

0:45:15 > 0:45:17who would you put your money on to win it?

0:45:17 > 0:45:20Has to be the Chargers, you always go with the hot team

0:45:20 > 0:45:21and they are streaking right now.

0:45:21 > 0:45:22Chargers.

0:45:22 > 0:45:24I agree with my friend over here.

0:45:24 > 0:45:25We're back!

0:45:25 > 0:45:28Chargers, yeah, they're hot.

0:45:28 > 0:45:30Yeah, I mean, they said it, the Chargers, when you look

0:45:30 > 0:45:34at the team who is hot, but not only hot, you look at them

0:45:34 > 0:45:37on the defensive side of the ball, they play great defense,

0:45:37 > 0:45:42they have an excellent quarterback who can get it done,

0:45:42 > 0:45:47a young running back and Keenan Allen, we talked

0:45:47 > 0:45:50about him, if he stays healthy he's a special player in this league.

0:45:50 > 0:45:52They are getting it done at the right time.

0:45:52 > 0:45:55I just wonder whether both the AFC West and the AFC South,

0:45:55 > 0:45:58between the Jaguars and the Titans, are slightly looking

0:45:58 > 0:46:00over their shoulders at the wild Cards and will be concerned

0:46:00 > 0:46:06about the Ravens making the playoffs with the defense that they have.

0:46:06 > 0:46:08You don't want to play a team like the Baltimore Ravens

0:46:08 > 0:46:10in January when the defenses are really what counts.

0:46:10 > 0:46:11Defensively they are outstanding.

0:46:11 > 0:46:13Like you said, 20 interceptions, leading the league.

0:46:13 > 0:46:17They can apply pressure on the quarterback.

0:46:17 > 0:46:20This is a good football team, playing well on defense right now.

0:46:20 > 0:46:23But remember, they lost their best corner, Jimmy Smith.

0:46:23 > 0:46:27When you are a defensive team you need that number one guy who can

0:46:27 > 0:46:29play the number one receiver or at least take somebody

0:46:29 > 0:46:30out of the game.

0:46:30 > 0:46:33And Jaguars fans are probably screaming at the telly, hang on,

0:46:33 > 0:46:36we thrashed them when we had the London game but it's different,

0:46:36 > 0:46:38earlier in the season to now.

0:46:38 > 0:46:41It is different but the Jaguars team is a different team as well

0:46:41 > 0:46:44and defensively they've gotten much better.

0:46:44 > 0:46:48Their defense is one to be reckoned with as well, very athletic,

0:46:48 > 0:46:51can get pressure on the quarterback but when you look at both of these

0:46:51 > 0:46:53teams, their offense, the quarterback is where

0:46:53 > 0:46:56they struggle, defense is where their strength is.

0:46:56 > 0:46:58And if I had to pick one of these teams, Baltimore

0:46:58 > 0:47:02have been there before.

0:47:02 > 0:47:05We've just got time to show you the standings as far

0:47:05 > 0:47:07as the AFC East is concerned.

0:47:07 > 0:47:10Eight wins on the bounce for New England.

0:47:10 > 0:47:12Pittsburgh match New England at 10-2 after that close

0:47:12 > 0:47:16win over Cincinnati.

0:47:16 > 0:47:19outh, this one really is gong down to the week 17 game

0:47:19 > 0:47:21between Tennessee and Jacksonville.

0:47:21 > 0:47:30AFC West, look away, Chiefs fans, it's a three-way tie in the West.

0:47:30 > 0:47:33NFC, the Eagles' loss to Seattle means they don't

0:47:33 > 0:47:36clinch the division, but only a matter of time now.

0:47:36 > 0:47:38Minnesota need to win one of their remaining four games

0:47:38 > 0:47:39to clinch this division.

0:47:39 > 0:47:40NFC South.

0:47:40 > 0:47:41Too close to call this one.

0:47:41 > 0:47:43New Orleans at Atlanta on Thursday.

0:47:43 > 0:47:44NFC West.

0:47:44 > 0:47:46Despite Seattle's big win over Philadelphia the Rams remain

0:47:46 > 0:47:48top of the division.

0:47:48 > 0:47:51In the play-offs, no change in the AFC but the week 15 game

0:47:51 > 0:47:54between Pittsburgh and New England could decide who is number one seed.

0:47:54 > 0:47:57Kansas City holding on for their life as a divisional

0:47:57 > 0:48:02leader and their 6-6 record currently won't be good enough

0:48:02 > 0:48:05for a wildcard spot should they slip from the top of the AFC West.

0:48:05 > 0:48:08Philadelphia's loss sees Minnesota move ahead as the number one seed.

0:48:08 > 0:48:09The big change here is Seattle.

0:48:09 > 0:48:12They didn't make the graphic at the start of the show

0:48:12 > 0:48:14but leap into the wildcards at the expense of Atlanta.

0:48:14 > 0:48:16We're going to do Saturday's show from Atlanta.

0:48:16 > 0:48:24New Orleans will be their visitors.

0:48:24 > 0:48:26Greg, thank you very much for coming in.

0:48:26 > 0:48:27We always appreciate having you.

0:48:27 > 0:48:28That's genuine!

0:48:28 > 0:48:30It isn't a dig at you!

0:48:30 > 0:48:32Come and see us any time, seriously.

0:48:32 > 0:48:34We'll see you on Saturday night from Atlanta.

0:48:34 > 0:48:38Goodbye.

0:48:38 > 0:48:41VOICEOVER: Playing for the playoffs.

0:48:41 > 0:48:44Playing for your place in the mix.

0:48:44 > 0:48:46Playing for your job.

0:48:46 > 0:48:49Playing for your future, playing for your place in history.

0:48:49 > 0:48:59Just plain old playing.

0:48:59 > 0:49:00There is no let-up.

0:49:00 > 0:49:02So just play on.

0:49:02 > 0:49:06Only in the NFL.
