:00:14. > :00:28.He's going to fire towards the end zone... Looking downfield... How did

:00:29. > :00:38.he do that? Are unstoppable! Hello, merry Christmas

:00:39. > :00:40.and welcome to NFL This Week. There's only one way

:00:41. > :00:42.we are starting the show tonight! 12 months had passed,

:00:43. > :00:45.losing became a way of life, but following encouragement

:00:46. > :00:47.from this show we are pleased to say Cleveland have only gone

:00:48. > :00:57.and finally done it! Running back Isaiah Crowell's

:00:58. > :01:00.touchdowns in the 1st and 2nd quarters cheered Browns' hearts,

:01:01. > :01:06.warmed further still when Josh Lambo's last-gasp missed

:01:07. > :01:11.field goal gift-wrapped a 20-17 win for Ohio's finest, delighting

:01:12. > :01:12.the players, This week our Super Bowl winner

:01:13. > :01:33.Osi Umenyiora went to Nigeria And he couldn't let this special

:01:34. > :01:40.moment pass. Congratulations Cleveland. You won the game, but

:01:41. > :01:46.unfortunately I had to leave the country for this to happen so I am

:01:47. > :01:50.going to take full credit. My brother in Nigeria has decided to

:01:51. > :01:54.paint his house orange in honour of your victory. That's how much your

:01:55. > :01:59.victory means to us. Have a good day and enjoy this special victory. As

:02:00. > :02:22.Osi still in Nigeria. That was classic! He is a very

:02:23. > :02:32.interesting man. Here is a quick breakdown on how everything works.

:02:33. > :02:35.The NFL is split into two conferences - the AFC and the NFC.

:02:36. > :02:38.Each conference has 4 divisions - North, South, East and West.

:02:39. > :02:40.To get to the playoffs you need to win your division,

:02:41. > :02:44.or gain a wildcard spot by having one of the next two best records.

:02:45. > :02:45.The division winners are then seeded

:02:46. > :02:47.depending on their regular season record.

:02:48. > :02:48.Following the completion of week 15

:02:49. > :02:50.this is how the playoff picture looked...

:02:51. > :02:52.Oakland had gone 14 years on a playoff drought

:02:53. > :02:54.but following week 15 they were confirmed

:02:55. > :02:58.Miami were in the wildcard spot divisional rivals Baltimore.

:02:59. > :03:00.ahead of their week 16 game against Buffalo.

:03:01. > :03:03.In the NFC Dallas looking comfortable as the number 1 seed.

:03:04. > :03:05.Seattle and Atlanta fighting it out or the number 2 seed.

:03:06. > :03:08.Green Bay had moved into contention with Tampa Bay back in the hunt.

:03:09. > :03:10.London-bound in 2017, the Miami Dolphins have

:03:11. > :03:12.the 2016 regular season to contend with first.

:03:13. > :03:21.Our first game takes us to Buffalo where the Dolphins

:03:22. > :03:27.Victory for the Dolphins and the eight-year absence from the playoffs

:03:28. > :03:30.could be over. Jay Ajayi was just 15 back then. Now he has a chance to

:03:31. > :03:35.rush the Dolphins into the postseason. Unleash the beast! But

:03:36. > :03:51.it will not be easy. High up in New York state. Following to the

:03:52. > :04:02.sideline, and Brown is marked down at the 15-yard line. Nice grab by

:04:03. > :04:06.Kenny Stills. Stumbling, Ajayi fights off an attack. That play

:04:07. > :04:11.started off as ugly as it possibly could and Ajayi made it work. On the

:04:12. > :04:16.following possession from the Bills, Dan Carter Mr 46 yard field goal to

:04:17. > :04:25.keep the score at 7-0, heading into the second quarter. Drake with the

:04:26. > :04:34.handoff. Goes the other way. Lots of running room that direction. Down

:04:35. > :04:39.sideline. For the touchdown! Why would we go with the past when the

:04:40. > :04:44.running game is working so well? This play is intended to go to the

:04:45. > :04:48.left and Drake recognise there's nowhere to go. McKinney slows down

:04:49. > :04:56.the field and allows him to get into the end zone.

:04:57. > :05:07.They were going for it, do the end zone and it's a touchdown! I thought

:05:08. > :05:12.he had overthrown Watkins. I know exactly what you are thinking, as

:05:13. > :05:22.that ball left your hands, Watkins was not in the clear. To the end

:05:23. > :05:32.zone, intercepted in the end zone by Cory White. That's a decision that

:05:33. > :05:44.Matt Moore can't make, understanding that you're in field goal range, you

:05:45. > :05:49.can go into the half and get points. That is a 1st down, and Matt Moore,

:05:50. > :05:56.for DeVante Parker, down the sideline for the touchdown. Moore is

:05:57. > :06:02.staring down to his left then he picks up Parker who is on a drag

:06:03. > :06:05.route from right-to-left, and what happens again, the Bills with a

:06:06. > :06:11.missed tackle allows Parker to get free and any strides out on the

:06:12. > :06:17.sidelines. We were having a conversation about LeSean McCoy. He

:06:18. > :06:23.is in that comparison category. You can see it. You can see he said

:06:24. > :06:29.listen, he ends up running all the way outside to the left. So, you

:06:30. > :06:38.have to be disciplined. McCoy to the ten, to the five, touchdown! What

:06:39. > :06:41.great acceleration and that would have been a little bit like Barry

:06:42. > :06:48.Sanders, that we were just talking about. To the end zone, touchdown,

:06:49. > :06:53.Kenny Stills with the reception. On the next Dolphins' drive Franks

:06:54. > :06:59.missed a 46 yard field goal to keep it once cool game. Carpenter made a

:07:00. > :07:02.28 yard play on the next Bills possession. The Bills and forced a

:07:03. > :07:15.stop and got the ball back late in the fourth. Two minutes to play.

:07:16. > :07:23.McCoy. Taylor. Throwing, wide-open inside the 20, the 15, the ten, and

:07:24. > :07:37.there's Robert Woods. 1st goal. End zone, and it is caught by Clay.

:07:38. > :07:42.Macro Greek -- Clay comes up with the line backers dropping underneath

:07:43. > :07:51.and he is able to find that link. Third touchdown pass of the day for

:07:52. > :08:00.Tyrod Taylor. There is Kenny Stills, across midfield into the 44 of the

:08:01. > :08:08.Buffalo Bills. More, to the sideline and it is caught. Damien Williams

:08:09. > :08:14.fighting for yardage when he could have stepped out of bounds. Huge

:08:15. > :08:18.mistake, not getting out of bounds and now they are yelling for the

:08:19. > :08:23.field goal unit to come out. They have got plenty of time, they are

:08:24. > :08:36.going to kick the field goal. Slow down and take a breath. This is a 55

:08:37. > :08:48.yard attempt. On its way. And good! Acharya long ties the game. -- a

:08:49. > :08:54.career long. This is what it looked like when a kick happen. Rex was

:08:55. > :09:04.calling a time-out, and that is in sync with the play, from that view.

:09:05. > :09:11.They need to win here, to keep their hopes alive. Running into the

:09:12. > :09:16.midfield. And out of bounds at about the 30-yard line. It was about this

:09:17. > :09:20.distance earlier in the game and the same spot on the field when

:09:21. > :09:26.Carpenter was kicking it and the wind pushed it right, not pitting

:09:27. > :09:36.the field goal for the Bulls. On its way, and... Pushed it right. Try to

:09:37. > :09:41.leave it over. Carpenter would have liked nothing better against his

:09:42. > :09:51.former team. More, and the Dolphins from around 15. Ajayi breaking

:09:52. > :10:07.through less side. 40, 50, can they catch? They finally bring him down.

:10:08. > :10:16.That is a 56 yard run by Jay Ajayi. And it is good. The Miami Dolphins

:10:17. > :10:24.with their tenth win of the season. I take my hat off to our guys, down

:10:25. > :10:31.14, we kept battling back. Miami is a good football team. They deserve

:10:32. > :10:36.the game. And they won it. The guys, all the backs, really, all of them,

:10:37. > :10:41.played huge is today. We just kept chipping away in the running game.

:10:42. > :10:49.It was tough. It was a tough one. We just kind of kept chipping away. And

:10:50. > :10:50.Ajayi stayed strong and kept going and busted out that big one in a

:10:51. > :11:00.crucial situation. That put Miami on the brink of play

:11:01. > :11:12.football for the first time since 2008.

:11:13. > :11:16.Here's the rest of the AFC action from week 16.

:11:17. > :11:28.What they had to do was look West, as they had AFC home-field advantage

:11:29. > :11:35.but Oakland stone to a 26 point five quarters lead, with a couple of

:11:36. > :11:39.DeAndre Washington 22 yard runs, then the unthinkable happened. At

:11:40. > :11:45.the top of the fourth quarter, Derek Carr fracturing his right fibula

:11:46. > :11:51.under pressure from Trent call. We will talk more about this. He faces

:11:52. > :11:56.surgery today. And the Raiders looking to back up Matt McGloin to

:11:57. > :12:06.take them into the playoffs. However they were beaten 33-25. Tennessee

:12:07. > :12:12.needed a win to force a showdown with Huston for the AFC South. They

:12:13. > :12:25.went down 38-17 to a rampant Jacksonville. They also lost their

:12:26. > :12:31.quarterback to a broken leg, Marcus Mariota facing surgery. A 22 yard

:12:32. > :12:37.touchdown pass caught by the quarterback. Best game of the season

:12:38. > :12:42.for him. I cannot believe I used the phrase razzle-dazzle on television.

:12:43. > :12:46.That defeat for the Titans meant that Huston could wrap up the AFC

:12:47. > :12:50.South with a home win over the Bengals. Brandon LaFell scored this

:12:51. > :12:56.86 yard touchdown pass from Andy Dalton. Huston wrapped up the

:12:57. > :13:02.division title when Alfred blue ran in from 24 yards. That was the

:13:03. > :13:12.winning score. And they claimed a narrow 12-10 victory. Sunday night

:13:13. > :13:16.football featured the big AFC West showdown as Denver travel to Kansas

:13:17. > :13:22.City. Both desperate for the win. The Chiefs ran riot. Scoring this 80

:13:23. > :13:25.yard pass from Alex Smith as the defending Super Bowl champions

:13:26. > :13:28.surrendered meekly. Big cheers in Miami as a defeat for Denver

:13:29. > :13:34.qualified the Dolphins for a wild card. Then there was this from the

:13:35. > :13:43.heaviest man in NFL history to throw up touchdown pass. It was a two

:13:44. > :13:48.yard, to Demetrios Harris. And the tremors were felt all along the West

:13:49. > :13:54.Coast! We will show that again in just a moment. Let's start with

:13:55. > :13:57.Derek Carr. And what that could do to the Raiders, going into the

:13:58. > :14:03.playoffs, losing your quarterback with a broken leg. This completely

:14:04. > :14:06.changes the dynamic going into the playoffs. Obviously they have

:14:07. > :14:13.confidence in their team but when you look at Derek Carr, he reminds

:14:14. > :14:18.me of a young Brett ball. The players love him, the fans love him,

:14:19. > :14:23.he plays the game of football like he's in the backyard playing catch

:14:24. > :14:26.with a bunch of friends. He is high-fiving guys, he is chest

:14:27. > :14:30.bumping defensive guys when they make plays. He's one of those

:14:31. > :14:35.leaders, one of those guys that you want to see excelling. For this to

:14:36. > :14:41.happen, it is unfortunate but it is the nature of the game. He's a

:14:42. > :14:45.leader who is comfortable in himself who has the aura to go, guys, I got

:14:46. > :14:54.this, don't worry about that, or to go, sorry, I am stuffed. He can't

:14:55. > :15:00.just be one of the guys. A lot of the times when specifically the

:15:01. > :15:05.media get into it, as a quarterback, the quarterback still is a part of

:15:06. > :15:11.the team. They still are not any greater than the next man. And so,

:15:12. > :15:15.when you look at a guy like Derek Carr, who has such great influence

:15:16. > :15:19.on our young team, because they are so young, it is great to see the

:15:20. > :15:24.dynamic that he has with his counterparts.

:15:25. > :15:33.Osi loves Jay Ajayi and he led Miami. He has had a bit of a dip

:15:34. > :15:38.recently but he ran over 200 yards in this game, do they need more than

:15:39. > :15:47.just him if they are going to go deep into the playoffs? Yes. When

:15:48. > :15:50.that happens and teams go to stop the run, they are going to have to

:15:51. > :15:54.attack them vertically down the field. They will need good

:15:55. > :16:02.consistent play by the quarterback. He needed this game going into the

:16:03. > :16:07.playoffs. To have three 200 yard games in the season, impressive. I

:16:08. > :16:12.don't care what kind of a dip he had, when he jumped back up, he

:16:13. > :16:17.jumped back up big. This is in one of the biggest games of their season

:16:18. > :16:22.and in their franchise history right now, obviously they have been in a

:16:23. > :16:28.big dip as an organisation, it was huge for them to make the playoffs.

:16:29. > :16:34.I understand what this means for the organisation. Let's see what this

:16:35. > :16:41.means for Dontari Poe. Last season, the heaviest person to run in a

:16:42. > :16:49.touchdown since the Fridge. Now the heaviest person to throw a touchdown

:16:50. > :16:55.pass. He totally sold the run! He had his head down, he drops the

:16:56. > :17:00.dime, like in basketball, look how sweet that is. There is huge

:17:01. > :17:08.pressure on Harris to catch that. If Alex Smith had thrown it, that would

:17:09. > :17:14.have ruined it. When you watch him catching the ball, he is looking at

:17:15. > :17:21.the referee, like, am I in? The last thing you want to do is not to have

:17:22. > :17:26.both feet down or drop that ball, Dontari Poe would probably have sat

:17:27. > :17:30.on him. Denver will log that for the next time they play Kansas. They

:17:31. > :17:38.don't like each other and now you are putting fuel on the fire.

:17:39. > :17:44.Buffalo dispensed with the services of their head coach. Not a massive

:17:45. > :17:51.surprise. They have not been as successful as they would have hoped.

:17:52. > :17:58.Statistically, with Rex coming in, since he took over in that position,

:17:59. > :18:03.they have not had a great statistical numbers favouring him.

:18:04. > :18:11.They almost were better defensively for sure without Rex being there.

:18:12. > :18:13.They are not really losing much. That was one of my favourite line of

:18:14. > :18:15.the series! It's fair to say there's no love

:18:16. > :18:18.lost between the Baltimore Ravens Fighting it out for the AFC North

:18:19. > :18:22.title it's come down to this game. A Pittsburgh win sees them secure

:18:23. > :18:24.the divisional title For Baltimore, following Miami's

:18:25. > :18:40.win, a loss would elimintate them One of those old rivalries, it never

:18:41. > :18:48.seems to slacken. Not even on Christmas Day. With an extra pinch

:18:49. > :18:53.of space and the playoffs are beyond the Ravens, hopes are gone. A win

:18:54. > :18:59.for the Steelers and they are guaranteed safe passage to the

:19:00. > :19:00.postseason. Just in case this rivalry needed a little spicing up,

:19:01. > :19:24.it doesn't... Opening drive, Pittsburgh's

:19:25. > :19:30.touchdown. He will be running up the same to the left side. Into the free

:19:31. > :19:36.safety. He tries to deliver the blow. They are not afraid any more.

:19:37. > :19:41.They go up and get it and hang on until the touchdown. Justin Tucker

:19:42. > :19:46.nailed a 42 yard field goal to put the visitors on the board. In the

:19:47. > :19:51.second quarter, he attempted one from 44 yards but it was fumbled by

:19:52. > :19:56.Sam Cooke and the Ravens went scoreless on the possession. There

:19:57. > :19:59.was redemption and later, Tucker on target from 38 yards to make it a

:20:00. > :20:12.1-point game going into half-time. Ravens... This path looks like it

:20:13. > :20:19.was intercepted. He gets up and runs to the 20-yard line. They will take

:20:20. > :20:25.a tight look at it because it was a turnover. It is the third turnover

:20:26. > :20:31.of the year for him. He sees it, a little off target throw. Does he get

:20:32. > :20:40.both hands underneath? I think he does. Pittsburgh are pressing.

:20:41. > :20:46.Steven Smith for the touchdown! He got the look he was looking for. No

:20:47. > :20:52.medal safety. Fifth touchdown of the season. Steve Smith six. The Ravens

:20:53. > :20:58.converted a 2-point play after the touchdown but the Steelers struck

:20:59. > :21:01.back on the next drive with the 36 yard Chris Boswell field goal.

:21:02. > :21:06.Baltimore responded when they got the ball back, Tucker on song from

:21:07. > :21:19.46 yards to extend their lead to seven points. Rogers in motion. It

:21:20. > :21:23.is intercepted. It is CJ Mosley buzzing underneath. Mosley at the 20

:21:24. > :21:33.and brought down at the 11-yard line. He threw two interceptions.

:21:34. > :21:39.Deep in his own territory. 22 yards. CJ Mosley, a lot of things going on.

:21:40. > :21:43.He gets back into his own and right underneath the ball.

:21:44. > :21:48.Studio-macro: Baltimore stalled in the red zone once again. Tucker

:21:49. > :21:53.took a ten point lead into the final quarter.

:21:54. > :22:03.Here is a deep shock to the opposite side. Marcus errors. Incomplete.

:22:04. > :22:08.Rupee on rookie and Young will be called for the penalty.

:22:09. > :22:36.Almost miscommunication. Bell turns on the speed. He rings up six for

:22:37. > :22:45.the Steelers. Brandon Williams. He cannot get Bell down. That is the

:22:46. > :22:54.speed and vision. 3rd 10. This one is caught. That takes guts. He just

:22:55. > :22:59.took a shot, hangs on and gets it to the 35. If Baltimore believe they

:23:00. > :23:12.will end up in the end zone, they can try to score. I am surprised

:23:13. > :23:20.that they have got them spread out. In, has the 1st down still going. He

:23:21. > :23:26.stays on his feet and scorers! Run of the year! The Ravens take the

:23:27. > :23:31.lead on the road! How great was he on this drive? Watch this contact,

:23:32. > :23:35.he will not be denied. Once he saw the end zone and comes off the

:23:36. > :23:41.collision with Mitchell, he will uses the hand to help himself get

:23:42. > :23:45.into the end zone. There, he kept his knees from the ground, something

:23:46. > :23:52.about seeing that goal line, you try to stay up at all costs. He has been

:23:53. > :23:57.so good. Picking and catching the ball out of the backfield. The run

:23:58. > :24:06.was exceptional. The pressure has not got there from the safety spot.

:24:07. > :24:15.The throw is complete. The 47-yard line. 57 seconds left. 2nd 1.

:24:16. > :24:21.Ravens pressure. Eli Rogers at the 20-yard line. Both Marsh --

:24:22. > :24:28.motioning to clock it. One remaining. The clock stopped with 41

:24:29. > :24:32.seconds remaining in regulation. Baltimore have brought a lot of

:24:33. > :24:41.pressure on this drive. They want to stop this 3rd down play. Do you sit

:24:42. > :24:47.back and zone or concede but keep them out of the end zone. They will

:24:48. > :24:53.have to declare. 32 seconds left, third and fourth.

:24:54. > :25:08.He is back, throws underneath, caught by James, kill the clock. The

:25:09. > :25:15.ball was fumbled on the exchange. They will kill it with 14 seconds

:25:16. > :25:24.remaining. The problem here is that the ball has to get out, get it into

:25:25. > :25:33.the end zone. Second end goal. He caught it. Breaks the plane.

:25:34. > :25:39.Touchdown, Pittsburgh's. That might win them the division. If he does

:25:40. > :25:42.not reach with the ball, the clock by run out. The reach with the

:25:43. > :25:49.football at the end of the run it gets across the goal-line. The clock

:25:50. > :25:53.is running with nine seconds left. Mosley looked straight. Three Ravens

:25:54. > :25:58.there are trying to do exactly what Doug was saying. He reaches forward,

:25:59. > :26:05.breaks the play with the ball, but the touchdown is confirmed and it is

:26:06. > :26:11.30-27. Tremendous play by Antonio Brown. Backlot could run out before

:26:12. > :26:16.they get the ball spiked. The final play of the game. They are going to

:26:17. > :26:23.work under Napier and that is deflected and intercepted and the

:26:24. > :26:27.Pittsburgh Steelers have won the AFC North title. 31-27 and the Ravens

:26:28. > :26:35.have been eliminated from playoff consideration. I think today showed

:26:36. > :26:40.resolve. I showed some fight and did not quit. When you throw that second

:26:41. > :26:45.pic and you are in the red zone and they are in there already, you never

:26:46. > :26:49.saw them get down, you never saw them complain about the offense. We

:26:50. > :26:58.always stick together, the same thing when they scored late. We do

:26:59. > :27:02.not point fingers, it is a team win. So the divisional winners are all

:27:10. > :27:11.Our six teams are confirmed in the playoffs, but for Kansas

:27:12. > :27:14.and Oakland they also head into wk 17 fighting it out for the second

:27:15. > :27:30.seed and avoidance of What a game to decide the AFC North.

:27:31. > :27:36.Absolutely. You saw Ben in his Christmas sweater. Santa Claus

:27:37. > :27:46.delivered to one of his favourite elves. When you think about football

:27:47. > :27:50.games and division rivalries and match ups, Pittsburgh's and

:27:51. > :27:54.Baltimore or at the top of the list, because of games that they put on

:27:55. > :27:59.like that. Even though he did not have long for his final drive down

:28:00. > :28:03.the field, he always seemed in control, did Roethlisberger. That is

:28:04. > :28:06.the magic of him and that team. That is why they are dangerous. You

:28:07. > :28:13.cannot give him time on the clock with the ball in his hand. He can

:28:14. > :28:18.rip the defense apart. Look at the Antonio Brown touchdown. The

:28:19. > :28:24.strength in managing to get his arm over. If he had not, the clock would

:28:25. > :28:33.run out. The commentator said, the clock would run out. When I watched

:28:34. > :28:40.this, it is almost as though, he pulled him back up, even trying to

:28:41. > :28:45.tackle him. It is for him to even extent, but the strength and the

:28:46. > :28:50.wherewithal to even understand, if I can reach just a couple more inches,

:28:51. > :28:56.this may be over and he did it and that is what makes them special.

:28:57. > :28:59.Talking about his mentality, if you look at these statistics, one catch

:29:00. > :29:03.for its seven yards in the first, the ball was not going to him in the

:29:04. > :29:05.first half and when you are a wide receiver and not getting the ball,

:29:06. > :29:25.how does that affect you? It definitely it is a challenge to keep

:29:26. > :29:28.your head in the game and as much as everyone around you is like it is

:29:29. > :29:31.going to come, it is going to come, you do not really know that. You

:29:32. > :29:34.want to see a ball hit your gloves and when you do not have that

:29:35. > :29:36.opportunity to see the ball is coming as consistently as Antonio

:29:37. > :29:39.Brown has had in his entire career, it becomes one of those deals were

:29:40. > :29:42.it is like, come on, I want to catch a ball now! Absolutely. You don't

:29:43. > :29:47.want to get too low because when the opportunity comes, you want to make

:29:48. > :29:52.the best of it. Defensively, you will know, eventually the ball will

:29:53. > :29:56.go to him. You are doing your game and you cannot worry about if he is

:29:57. > :29:57.getting the ball, because when it happens, you have to be ready to

:29:58. > :30:02.defend it. Thank you. A quick reminder that you can

:30:03. > :30:05.get another dose of NFL We'll take a further look

:30:06. > :30:09.at the match-up between Detroit and Dallas and we'll also preview

:30:10. > :30:11.the final round of If you miss the show on Friday

:30:12. > :30:15.evening it's repeated on Saturday morning,

:30:16. > :30:32.or you can catch it on the iPlayer. We will start with Washington magic

:30:33. > :30:41.cargo were Kirk Cousins was supreme. One touchdown to Chris Thompson then

:30:42. > :30:46.he ran for two others self. As the Redskins kept their wild card hopes

:30:47. > :30:52.alive. Greg now has a big smile on his face. In the NFC North, Green

:30:53. > :31:01.Bay police the Vikings with Darren Rogers throwing for 347 yards. At

:31:02. > :31:04.14, that is not the team you want to see get hot. Split loyalties here,

:31:05. > :31:10.because you were a form of Viking as well. You just gloss over that.

:31:11. > :31:15.Moving on... And that worked perfectly. Detroit taking on Dallas.

:31:16. > :31:22.Dallas having the NFC home-field advantage. Great game, 21 all at

:31:23. > :31:27.half-time, the Cowboys running 21 unanswered second-half point,

:31:28. > :31:42.running out 42-21, and Des Browne even through a touchdown pass. What

:31:43. > :31:47.Poe can do, he can do. Ten different receivers in this next game for two

:31:48. > :31:53.touchdowns. They have come on strong this year. We will talk more about

:31:54. > :32:00.their offensive weapons. They have Coleman running this in, first time

:32:01. > :32:04.since 2003 both Supermac -- Super Bowl teams failed to make the

:32:05. > :32:10.playoffs the next season. Then the Falcons had to cheer the Saints on

:32:11. > :32:16.as a New Orleans victory would hand them the NFC South, with New Orleans

:32:17. > :32:22.running out 24 winners. Two scores, and 299 yards from Drew Brees.

:32:23. > :32:27.Atlanta's first divisional title since 2012. We will talk more about

:32:28. > :32:29.those results in a while. Playoff football has been secure

:32:30. > :32:31.for sometime in Seattle, however their season

:32:32. > :32:33.is far from done. Atlanta's win over Carolina has put

:32:34. > :32:36.huge pressure on Seattle's hope of securing the number 2 seed

:32:37. > :32:38.and the first round bye. A win urgently required at home

:32:39. > :32:52.to the Arizona Cardinals. Early qualification seems to have

:32:53. > :32:57.unsettled the Seattle Seahawks. Life has been a little bruising for

:32:58. > :33:02.Russell Wilson. Heavily defeat the Packers up in Green Bay hurt

:33:03. > :33:05.everyone. The comforts of home now, but lose here, and the bonus of a

:33:06. > :33:14.first round bye in the playoffs will vanish.

:33:15. > :33:24.Third and 23 after the penalties. Fumble, and the ball is on the

:33:25. > :33:34.ground. Arizona have recovered it. Huge turnover for the Cardinals.

:33:35. > :33:42.Johnson, and he is in, touchdown Arizona. David Johnson scores his

:33:43. > :33:46.31st career touchdown in his 31st gameplay. What a year he's had. Late

:33:47. > :33:51.in the first quarter, Seattle guest Steven Hauschka had field goal

:33:52. > :33:57.attempt to block, maintaining the 7-0 lead for the Cardinals. Believe

:33:58. > :34:08.me, there will be a point when they say, we are going after these guys

:34:09. > :34:22.downfield. Firing the, and he has done it, JJ Nelson! -- firing beat.

:34:23. > :34:27.-- McLoone. He said, they have got to take it downfield. We have set

:34:28. > :34:32.them up with the run, run, run, watch the safety hanging in the

:34:33. > :34:47.middle. The deepest that guy ones is four, two, eight, and JJ Nelson just

:34:48. > :34:59.outlines them. And it's complete, it is Doug Baldwin. Rocking up to the

:35:00. > :35:03.end zone, touchdown! And he is hurt. Tyler Lockett was carried from the

:35:04. > :35:07.field and was later found to have a broken leg. To make matters worse

:35:08. > :35:15.after review his touchdown was pulled back, being taken down at the

:35:16. > :35:21.1-yard line. On fourth and all, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson

:35:22. > :35:26.was sacked, for turning the ball over. Arizona promptly gave the ball

:35:27. > :35:31.back from David Johnson when he fumbled for the fifth time this

:35:32. > :35:35.season. KJ Wright, on the recovery. The Seahawks again failed to gain

:35:36. > :35:39.ground and had to settle for a 27 yard field goal from Steven Hauschka

:35:40. > :35:56.to cut the Arizona lead to 14-3 at half-time. Wilson throwing a fade in

:35:57. > :36:01.the corner. It's a touchdown from Jermaine Kearse. Let's see if he

:36:02. > :36:07.holds it through the process of going to the ground. He does. That's

:36:08. > :36:17.a touchdown, folks. Johnson. Seattle has done a good job, and going

:36:18. > :36:26.through Larry Fitzgerald. Can you make the catch? He did. Down at the

:36:27. > :36:29.one. Nobody catches a better contested ball than Larry

:36:30. > :36:37.Fitzgerald. Man, that was something. Catch number one fumble and they

:36:38. > :36:49.were needing the lead. 1st goal after the penalty. Johnson gets it,

:36:50. > :36:56.Johnson is in. Touchdown. That is a new Cardinals record for rushing

:36:57. > :37:07.touchdowns in a year, 15. Wilson sees it, makes the move and Doug

:37:08. > :37:12.Baldwin, touchdown! Doug Baldwin, lots of people said he couldn't run.

:37:13. > :37:16.That was why he was a free agent. He just ran away from Brandon Williams.

:37:17. > :37:25.Seven minutes ago in the game, Arizona up three, and all. Johnson

:37:26. > :37:27.is in for the touchdown. Later in the fourth quarter the Cardinals

:37:28. > :37:37.extended their lead with a 42 yard field goal from Chandler Catanzaro.

:37:38. > :37:43.It has been a tough day for the receivers. They came back but how

:37:44. > :37:47.effective is it going to be? Thomas Rawls, lock it looking like he's out

:37:48. > :37:55.for the year. Not a good day for the Seattle Seahawks. It is getting a

:37:56. > :38:01.lot tougher for them. They need two touchdowns. That is the issue.

:38:02. > :38:16.Wilson fires it. And rumbling right in, touchdown! Seems like a winning

:38:17. > :38:22.formula, Jack. Pressure. He is in trouble, he gets rid of it,

:38:23. > :38:27.incomplete. My goodness. Watch KJ Wright time this thing perfectly. He

:38:28. > :38:34.is on to Carson Palmer. Carson Palmer does the only thing he can.

:38:35. > :38:44.They need a touchdown. Two minutes to play from Seattle. 2nd 11.

:38:45. > :38:54.Five-man wash. And Baldwin, Doug Baldwin inside the 20! And they are

:38:55. > :39:00.going to mark him out at the 15s. This is where they pay dividends,

:39:01. > :39:08.the former basketball players. Wilson to throw. End zone,

:39:09. > :39:18.touchdown! We are tied. Unbelievable! Extra points in this

:39:19. > :39:25.matchup. And this for the lead. This has been no gimme, because he has

:39:26. > :39:34.missed points. Here we go, to give Seattle the lead. Steven Hauschka.

:39:35. > :39:43.Are you serious? You cannot even make it up. Russell Wilson can't

:39:44. > :39:57.believe it. 2nd 10, 41 seconds left. Great adjustment by Johnson.

:39:58. > :40:03.What an adjustment as he beat Kam Chancellor. This guy can play. He is

:40:04. > :40:07.a wide receiver. He's a running back, great body control, great

:40:08. > :40:18.receiving instincts. Just a special football player. No time-outs left.

:40:19. > :40:22.3rd 10. A quick throw, Fitzgerald has got it, now you have got to get

:40:23. > :40:28.up there and get in. It is not a 1st down, you cannot spike it. It is

:40:29. > :40:37.fitting. We go to one of the greatest receivers of all time in

:40:38. > :40:41.the biggest situation. Nine seconds. To win it, five seconds from 43

:40:42. > :40:52.yards. They kick is up and it is good! A stunning win for Arizona!

:40:53. > :40:57.Against all the weapons and talent they had, receivers, quarterbacks,

:40:58. > :41:02.we were feeding off that energy that the defense was playing with. We

:41:03. > :41:06.didn't play great and the first half. We had a great second half and

:41:07. > :41:10.showed resilience of a football team and what we are capable of. And so

:41:11. > :41:15.the fight is there, and that is what you want Tom especially when you

:41:16. > :41:20.have got one regular-season game left on the road. Against the 49ers.

:41:21. > :41:24.NFC rivals, and that will be a battle, for sure. You have to figure

:41:25. > :41:27.out what we can do better and what we did well and continue to improve

:41:28. > :41:31.on that, heading into the playoffs. Three of the four divisions have

:41:32. > :41:34.been decided but in the NFC North a rampant Green Bay head to Detroit

:41:35. > :41:37.in week 17 to decide that division. The Giants loss on Thursday handed

:41:38. > :41:41.Dallas the NFC East but also secured homefield advantage throughout

:41:42. > :41:46.the playoffs which we'll look at Atlanta can secure that first

:41:47. > :41:49.round bye in week 17 if they beat New Orleans leaving Seattle to fight

:41:50. > :41:52.it out in wild card weekend. The Washington Redskins will be

:41:53. > :41:54.looking over at that Green Bay-Detroit game

:41:55. > :41:57.hoping to take advantage. A Detroit loss and they beat the NY

:41:58. > :42:01.Giants then it's the Redskins who go Tampa are mathmatically

:42:02. > :42:19.still in contention. Let's start with the Seahawks. Tyler

:42:20. > :42:24.Lockett's injury affected them. Definitely. I know it affected them

:42:25. > :42:28.because they are at the 1-yard line with his catching mates, he's got

:42:29. > :42:31.this significant injury, you'd think that he would want to get in there

:42:32. > :42:35.and score, but they couldn't even score. That let you know it was in

:42:36. > :42:40.their head. We don't want to see too many replays of it. They have been

:42:41. > :42:43.unlucky with injuries this season. They have had offensive line issues,

:42:44. > :42:51.they cannot get a running game going because of injuries. Their offense

:42:52. > :42:55.has been at a single year. In my opinion that is the biggest loss for

:42:56. > :42:59.that team, Thomas. He gave so much that that defense. Obviously they

:43:00. > :43:03.are a great defense. With him, without him, they are good defense,

:43:04. > :43:13.not a great defense. They have not been playing great, but with Earl

:43:14. > :43:19.Alt it is going to be uphill every game for them. If they are going to

:43:20. > :43:23.go along way they could be doing with home-field advantage for as

:43:24. > :43:27.long as possible. That is what you are hoping for and that says with

:43:28. > :43:32.the Earl Thomas issues. They have not been able to do that. That has

:43:33. > :43:37.been their weakness. Let's talk about Atlanta. I get lots of tweets

:43:38. > :43:41.from Falcons fan saying, why do you ignore us on the show? To be fair,

:43:42. > :43:47.that is not your fault because it's the first week that you have been

:43:48. > :43:52.on. Let's expand on it. Ten different receivers in their win

:43:53. > :44:04.over Carolina. If you're in that quarter, how do you feel? Honestly,

:44:05. > :44:09.it is good but it is not all good! I say that because, when you have a

:44:10. > :44:15.team like that, and I have been on a couple, where you have a plethora of

:44:16. > :44:24.guys, they all have to be unselfish, or it doesn't work, and Atlanta,

:44:25. > :44:28.everyone sees Julio Jones in the banner, but they have so many

:44:29. > :44:31.different weapons and so many different ways they can beat you,

:44:32. > :44:39.with the two headed monster at running back, both of them can catch

:44:40. > :44:48.either backfield. It benefits you, but, as one of those guys, you are,

:44:49. > :44:57.like, any of them, you know any given Sunday may not be yours!

:44:58. > :45:05.Should refocus on them all, do you think? Yes, they are an exciting

:45:06. > :45:08.offense. I like what they do. There are so many other teams to watch

:45:09. > :45:12.that are great that you kind of forget how great they are. Is this a

:45:13. > :45:18.now or never season for them or have they still got two or three more

:45:19. > :45:24.seasons? Last season we spoke about the Bengals, now or never, this

:45:25. > :45:27.season. I think they have got time. We could be talking about them as

:45:28. > :45:35.serious contenders. They definitely have time. They are not an old team.

:45:36. > :45:40.They have started plugging in pieces, taking pieces out at the

:45:41. > :45:44.running back position. You look at their receiving corps, they have

:45:45. > :45:49.revamped the entire receiving corps, almost, and their Bettman guy is

:45:50. > :45:52.Julio Jones, and he is not an old guy. They have pieces there

:45:53. > :45:59.defensively, they have got to sharpen up, -- their veteran guy.

:46:00. > :46:04.What I think you guys have overlooked Atlanta, for sure.

:46:05. > :46:15.It was all going so well. If you look at the inform teams in the NFL

:46:16. > :46:20.at the moment, they are so experienced, New England, Green Bay,

:46:21. > :46:24.Pittsburgh's, the top three and then, add latter and Houston, the

:46:25. > :46:29.three most experienced quarterbacks, is that a problem for Dallas, that

:46:30. > :46:34.three of their biggest rivals are the ones with the most experience. I

:46:35. > :46:39.do not think so. I think that team is built on that offensive line. For

:46:40. > :46:46.some reason, Dak Prescott is playing like he is the 33-year-old veteran.

:46:47. > :46:53.I think they will be OK. If I look at how it could pan out, it could be

:46:54. > :46:57.the Packers going to the Cowboys. Do you think Rogers can go to the

:46:58. > :47:03.Cowboys and lead Green Bay to a win? It might be a stupid question.

:47:04. > :47:08.Without a doubt. Watching Dallas, they are definitely beatable and

:47:09. > :47:13.they are beatable at home. They have had so many close games, their

:47:14. > :47:17.offense has not looked as sharp. They did look pretty good against

:47:18. > :47:21.Detroit, but they have not looked as sharp as they once did early in the

:47:22. > :47:28.season and I think teams are going down there, they do not have a fear

:47:29. > :47:33.of Dallas, we have to face the Cowboys. I think the fear is if you

:47:34. > :47:40.have to face the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs right now, you fear

:47:41. > :47:48.that guy under that center. You know what his resume says. I will say

:47:49. > :47:49.this. Do it quickly! I'm worried about the defensive backfield for

:47:50. > :47:52.the Packers. Brilliant. Don't forget the NFL Show this

:47:53. > :47:55.Friday at 12.10am BBC One. If you miss it then it's repeated

:47:56. > :48:00.on BBC 2 this Saturday at 7.30am. One more week to go of the regular

:48:01. > :48:03.season until we confirm the 12 playoffs contenders

:48:04. > :48:06.for Super Bowl 51. You could argue Cleveland

:48:07. > :48:08.had their Super Bowl moment this That result made many fans

:48:09. > :48:35.in Cleveland, ...and Nigeria, Words not yet said, let's hear it

:48:36. > :48:40.for the Cleveland Browns. And more forum that -- for the more

:48:41. > :48:50.victorious, the guest list for the postseason is nearly done. The AFC

:48:51. > :49:00.is sorted. NFC will go to the last round. Warm glows and sparks to the

:49:01. > :49:15.last turn of the wheels, only in the NFL.

:49:16. > :49:19.I'm relying on Josh to get this one right. Watch and learn.
