:00:23. > :00:28.200 the spectacular north coast of Northern Ireland, home to one of

:00:28. > :00:38.the most exhilarating sporting events in the world. Welcome to the

:00:38. > :01:11.

:01:11. > :01:21.Relentless International North West got this one done and dusted.

:01:21. > :01:24.

:01:24. > :01:29.Last year's event was curtailed because of an oil spill and bad

:01:29. > :01:33.weather, but this year, conditions are perfect. It is fast, furious

:01:33. > :01:39.and frightening. This is one of the few places in the world where you

:01:39. > :01:43.will see wheel to wheel motorcycle racing at speeds over 200 mph. And

:01:43. > :01:48.some of the best riders on the planet are here to compete around

:01:48. > :01:53.this unique nine miles circuit on the closed public roads between the

:01:53. > :02:01.towns of Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine. We have to the top

:02:01. > :02:07.contenders from across the Irish Sea. Some of the finest motorcycle

:02:07. > :02:11.racers from Down Under. And the very best of our home-grown talent,

:02:11. > :02:15.hoping to thrill that tens of thousands of spectators with a

:02:15. > :02:25.local win. One rider has been on the podium here more times than

:02:25. > :02:25.

:02:25. > :02:29.anybody else. Phillip McCallen. He took Cameron Donald on a flying lap.

:02:29. > :02:34.The North West 200, one of the fastest circuits in the world. We

:02:34. > :02:39.are about a mile from start, finish. In my day, this was flat through

:02:39. > :02:44.here. What is the difference? have a roundabout. Once we leave

:02:44. > :02:52.York, we come up the hill region third gear on the Superbike, up to

:02:52. > :02:58.130 mph, slowing down to first year, 25 mph around the corner. We are

:02:58. > :03:05.now going into Station Corner, the fastest corner on the circuit. In

:03:05. > :03:10.my day, we would knock it off for a bit, 160 mph. It is now about 180

:03:10. > :03:16.mph. This is what racing is all about. Fifth gear, rolling it off a

:03:16. > :03:23.little bit. This is an important corner. If you want to hit 200 mph,

:03:23. > :03:27.you have to come through as fast as possible. Mather's Cross probably

:03:27. > :03:35.was one of the most difficult, tactical corners in road racing. It

:03:35. > :03:40.is coming up at 180 mph. Hard on the brakes, as we approach this

:03:40. > :03:46.chicane. Still a very challenging corner, but a lot different than

:03:46. > :03:50.back in your day. Black Hill, it is all about the last lap. It is a

:03:50. > :03:55.heck of a corner. It is a flying crest on to the big stretch, the

:03:55. > :03:59.Coast Road, as your last chance to get a win. We hope to see you on

:03:59. > :04:09.the podium, but that is what it takes to do a fast lap at the North

:04:09. > :04:14.For the first time, organisers introduced racing on more than one

:04:14. > :04:24.day at the North West 200, and the first two races were won by a local

:04:24. > :04:35.

:04:35. > :04:45.looks so strong. -- Seeley. The hopes are resting on the outcome of

:04:45. > :04:51.

:04:51. > :04:57.day. He took the honours in the Supertwin race, but also his team-

:04:57. > :05:01.mates were second and third to fill the podium up -- places. And

:05:01. > :05:10.Alastair Seeley was the start to finish a winner in the Superstock

:05:10. > :05:14.class. That was Alastair Seeley's 6 North West 200 win. And he is in

:05:14. > :05:19.pole position for the first race of the day, the Supersport class. Only

:05:19. > :05:23.one rider has ever won five races in a year at the North West 200,

:05:23. > :05:27.Phillip McCallen. But if this man can win a clean sweep today, he

:05:27. > :05:37.would rewrite the record books. No pressure, but can you win or five

:05:37. > :05:38.

:05:38. > :05:42.It is not impossible but you need a lot of luck, and to be in the right

:05:42. > :05:46.place at the right time. I have prepared pretty well. I have set

:05:46. > :05:50.some benchmarks, fast lap times in practice. This will probably be the

:05:50. > :05:54.hardest race, the Supersport class, because the bikes are so even and

:05:54. > :05:57.it is just down to slipstream, being in the right place. I am

:05:57. > :06:02.looking forward to it. This is the first race and it is a matter of

:06:02. > :06:06.getting a decent result and building on it. Thank you. That is

:06:06. > :06:10.a man is fighting fit because he has been training full-time in

:06:10. > :06:16.Northern Ireland. He will have his work cut out because alongside him

:06:16. > :06:21.on the front row, two talented individuals. His team-mate,

:06:21. > :06:24.Englishman Guy Martin, and the road racing legend, John McGuinness,

:06:24. > :06:34.riding for the Padgetts Honda team. This race is going to be an

:06:34. > :06:38.

:06:38. > :06:41.absolute cracker. Time to join the row, there is a depth of talent at

:06:41. > :06:47.the North West 200 this year that is going to make every race into a

:06:47. > :06:51.cracker. Have a look at the Grid. Strength in depth is what the North

:06:51. > :06:56.West 200 has, more than any other road race on the planet. On the

:06:56. > :07:00.second row, Dunlop, Jonson and Stefano Bonetti. Michael Dunlop,

:07:00. > :07:03.Cameron Donald and Adrian Archibald John Rothery, and Ian Hutchinson

:07:03. > :07:09.back on the racetrack after his nasty accident at the beginning of

:07:09. > :07:13.the year. We are run for a cracking race to start the day. I think the

:07:13. > :07:18.great shows a trace of the weather which afflicted us earlier in the

:07:18. > :07:22.week. But the forecasters were dead right, and this one will go in what

:07:22. > :07:27.amounts to blazing sunshine here at the North West 200. We look down

:07:27. > :07:33.from a helicopter. The Grid is clear it and they point to the red

:07:33. > :07:38.light. Away they go, a good start for Alastair C-diff. Even better

:07:38. > :07:48.for John McGuinness. Guy Martin looks like he has got a hold of it.

:07:48. > :07:51.

:07:51. > :07:55.We are on board with John at the start. John McGuinness and

:07:55. > :08:02.Guy Martin side by side. McGuinness had the inside line into the

:08:02. > :08:07.hairpin. Martin had to think again about that one! There was a lot of

:08:07. > :08:17.talk about Alastair Seeley before this. Let's have a look at the

:08:17. > :08:19.

:08:20. > :08:24.second wave. He had a big accident last year at them accident -- the

:08:24. > :08:34.Mexican Grand Prix. We are back with Alex the Seeley, looking back

:08:34. > :08:37.

:08:37. > :08:46.at John McGuinness. -- alliss to goes blasting past Alastair C leave.

:08:46. > :08:53.This is what the North West 200 is all about. Look at Cameron Donald

:08:53. > :09:02.on the top. It is a William Dunlop. Where on earth did he come from?

:09:02. > :09:09.is in the lead. It does not matter what position you are in, as long

:09:09. > :09:16.as you are in the lead group at this point in the race. We are

:09:16. > :09:26.looking back at Alastair Seeley. William Dunlop in front. Bruce

:09:26. > :09:38.

:09:38. > :09:43.Anstey, number five, he was on road the running. This is the Ballysally

:09:43. > :09:49.roundabout. Back on to the home straight. Along here, the bumps are

:09:49. > :09:58.unbelievable. It looks flat out, but they start to bounce about

:09:58. > :10:04.because it is so bumpy. Super quick as well. Reaching over 160 mph and

:10:04. > :10:12.already thinking about the breaking point at Mather's Cross. There is

:10:12. > :10:19.all sorts going on. Somebody has gone on. I did not see who it was.

:10:19. > :10:23.It was Gary Johnson. I don't think he gained any advantage. I think he

:10:23. > :10:31.carefully weighted to pick up his place, so no advantage gained and

:10:31. > :10:35.no penalty. But advantage to William Dunlop. Earlier days, still.

:10:35. > :10:38.On the first lap, it is about being in the leading bunch. But it does

:10:38. > :10:48.your confidence good to lead. William Dunlop, Majestic through

:10:48. > :10:52.

:10:52. > :10:59.the chicane. So aggressive on that 600. You need to carry speed out of

:10:59. > :11:04.there if you can. It is all about the run to Metropole. It is John

:11:04. > :11:13.McGuinness, closing in on Cameron Donald. Who could forget Cameron

:11:13. > :11:20.Donald last year, putting in a stunning performance. Mrs Alastair

:11:20. > :11:23.Seeley's territory. You have to move your body around. He was right

:11:24. > :11:28.on the edge. You would think he would take it steady on the opening

:11:28. > :11:32.lap, but he was right on the edge of the breaking through that

:11:32. > :11:37.section be on the Metropole. And he is very anxious down on the Coast

:11:37. > :11:43.Road section to get on with getting past William Dunlop. He thought he

:11:44. > :11:48.had a chance. He almost overcooked it. John McGuinness is behind in

:11:48. > :11:52.third place. This is great from John McGuinness, because he has

:11:52. > :11:58.been a big bike specialist in recent years. He wrote at world

:11:58. > :12:02.level on the 612 years ago. And here he is riding with the likes of

:12:02. > :12:07.Alastair Seeley and William Dunlop. He was very sharp in the practice

:12:07. > :12:12.week, John McGuinness. Every session, he went out, no matter

:12:12. > :12:18.what the weather. Look at the body language from Cameron Donald, so

:12:18. > :12:27.aggressive. The Sun has really just come out at the start of the race.

:12:27. > :12:31.Fingers crossed we will not get any rain today. It looks good. Track

:12:31. > :12:37.temperature will be quite cold right now. Not on these tyres. They

:12:37. > :12:44.will be fully warm at the end of the first nine mile lap. Six laps

:12:44. > :12:48.in all. We have four more to go, and then this one. Cameron Donald,

:12:48. > :12:53.leading the group. Look at the power of the Honda coming out as

:12:53. > :13:03.they go to the roundabout. Still William Dunlop against Alistair C

:13:03. > :13:14.

:13:14. > :13:20.leave. McGuinness is struggling to him? Nobody else's red and yellow

:13:20. > :13:30.light that. Flat out yet again. This is what makes the North West

:13:30. > :13:30.

:13:30. > :13:36.200 unique. Five or six bikes abreast. Wow! The scariest corner

:13:36. > :13:42.in road racing, flat out on a 600. No slacking going through there.

:13:42. > :13:46.William Dunlop is pulling away. All of the talk before the race was of

:13:46. > :13:51.Allister Seeley possibly getting five, and William Dunlop has said

:13:51. > :13:57.that he is his biggest rival, the man to beat. Bruce Anstey comes

:13:57. > :14:03.driving alongside Cameron Donald. There was some slipstream going on

:14:03. > :14:08.behind him, Gary Johnson, I think. It was. We are looking at John

:14:08. > :14:13.McGuinness, trying to really in the leaders. William Dunlop, superb. He

:14:13. > :14:23.has been such a good ride on the 600 in recent years. He came to the

:14:23. > :14:35.

:14:35. > :14:41.for second place. -- the John McGuinness. This was the battle at

:14:41. > :14:49.the front of the second wave. It is now it for a second place. William

:14:49. > :14:59.Dunlop is on his way. Alastair Seeley has still got him in his

:14:59. > :15:19.

:15:19. > :15:26.William Dunlop? The Honda, in a straight line, is a rocket. This is

:15:26. > :15:32.a much more flowing chicane than the one before. I am very impressed

:15:32. > :15:42.with John McGuinness so far. I would not have predicted him in the

:15:42. > :15:48.

:15:48. > :15:53.top three in the 600 with Alastair Seeley. Have they given away

:15:53. > :16:03.anything through the twisty bits? Cameron Donald with John Simm

:16:03. > :16:11.

:16:11. > :16:18.tracks are presume of Michael Dunlop? Not I did breezy look --

:16:18. > :16:28.pre-season for Michael Dunlop. Michael Dunlop is by Cobbing this

:16:28. > :16:41.

:16:41. > :16:51.Dunlop, the way he is showing Alastair Seeley the way. A lot of

:16:51. > :16:56.this is about the horsepower of the Wilson Craig Honda. William appears

:16:56. > :17:02.to be on the V6? I think any of them will tell you that the Honda

:17:02. > :17:08.has the edge over the Suzuki in a straight line. Perhaps that is why

:17:08. > :17:18.John McGuinness is going so well. William is making do bite work. Oh,

:17:18. > :17:32.

:17:32. > :17:40.had a disappointing night the other night, 15th place. That is it for

:17:40. > :17:50.Archibald, game over. There is no sign of John Magennis behind Seeley.

:17:50. > :17:55.

:17:55. > :18:05.Oh, there he is. The race's halfway down. It is all down to William

:18:05. > :18:09.Dunlop. He does not have to worry about see coming up on him. --

:18:09. > :18:17.Alastair Seeley. He has to hope that Alastair Seeley does not Mabel

:18:17. > :18:26.into his lead. Last year we saw a battle between Alastair Seeley and

:18:26. > :18:29.Cameron Donald. Glorious sunshine, and you can see

:18:29. > :18:39.big gap back to second place, Seeley in third place, and an

:18:39. > :18:49.

:18:49. > :18:59.eternity behind them. We are going towards the Ballysally roundabout.

:18:59. > :19:07.

:19:07. > :19:15.Seeley and John McGuinness. You have no choice but to cross the

:19:15. > :19:25.camber while being under par. On the bigger bikes, they will be

:19:25. > :19:40.

:19:40. > :19:50.clinging on. John McGuinness for a Mather's Cross so chicane. --

:19:50. > :19:57.

:19:57. > :20:07.to be pulling him back so Cameron Donald cannot bridge the gap to

:20:07. > :20:21.

:20:21. > :20:25.Dunlop into Metropole, look at Alastair Seeley. If John McGuinness

:20:25. > :20:31.can stay there, he could pull something out of the back at the

:20:31. > :20:35.end. Eight Johnson couldn't catch Cameron Donald, he is going to

:20:35. > :20:39.track around the coast road with him. You will not see a lot of

:20:39. > :20:45.overtaking along here unless you happen to be Alastair Seeley in a

:20:45. > :20:51.chicane, in which case, look out! He is not close enough to William

:20:51. > :21:01.Dunlop to worry about going through the chicane. We have got William

:21:01. > :21:06.Dunlop, who has never won a four- stroke race around this circuit. He

:21:06. > :21:14.is just blowing all the Hyde Park out-of-the-way, all of the talk

:21:14. > :21:19.about Alastair Seeley. -- all of the high-power out of the way.

:21:19. > :21:23.he has got a hand injury. I figure it is his right hand that is a

:21:23. > :21:29.problem for him. He is doing a brilliant job out there and a

:21:29. > :21:39.surprise job as well. He is a problem for Alastair Seeley. I am

:21:39. > :21:56.

:21:56. > :22:03.amazed he has not made any inroads Donald. We might see some

:22:03. > :22:08.overtaking going into the hairpin. He is not close enough just yet. He

:22:08. > :22:12.needs to be a little closer to Cameron Donald. Maybe next time, if

:22:12. > :22:19.they are in the same position on the next lap. Of course, the laps

:22:19. > :22:23.are counting down. Gary Johnson looking very good indeed. Cameron

:22:23. > :22:33.Donald seems to be fading. He is not catching up with the leaders

:22:33. > :22:34.

:22:34. > :22:41.and he is not keeping his distance from Gary Johnson. Maybe Cameron

:22:41. > :22:51.Donald might have best idea and it has halted his momentum? -- missed

:22:51. > :22:53.

:22:53. > :23:00.a gear. Honda horsepower, pulling away. Wilson Craig Honda Spa. Gary

:23:00. > :23:09.Johnson is on a Honda as well but Wilson Craig seem to have that

:23:09. > :23:13.tuned so sweetly. Only two things could beat him, misfortune or

:23:13. > :23:23.stamina. Five races might be too much for a guy who normally only

:23:23. > :23:34.

:23:34. > :23:38.has to on a normal race day. Here he comes. John McGuinness, objects

:23:38. > :23:41.on the on-board camera are closer than they appear, so he has not got

:23:41. > :23:51.it as easy as it looks. Gary Johnson just tracking Cameron

:23:51. > :23:53.

:23:53. > :24:02.Donald round. Gary Johnson head into the roundabout. Gary Johnson

:24:02. > :24:12.might have got a few vital mm. would have predicted, John Magennis,

:24:12. > :24:15.

:24:15. > :24:22.third race? And William Dunlop in the lead. This is a very difficult

:24:22. > :24:32.chicane. It is much more difficult and it is easy to make a complete

:24:32. > :24:33.

:24:33. > :24:43.mess of it. Cameron Donald, being chased by

:24:43. > :24:44.

:24:44. > :24:53.Gary Johnson. We are riding with Alastair Seeley through the chicane.

:24:53. > :25:03.We are looking at a back marker? We are. Cameron Donald will go past

:25:03. > :25:06.

:25:06. > :25:11.him. Yes! Maybe Gary Johnson might close in. It is evenly spaced.

:25:11. > :25:18.gap has come down between William Dunlop and Alastair Seeley, but

:25:18. > :25:22.still comfortable for William Dunlop. Gary Johnson, really good.

:25:22. > :25:32.William Dunlop does not need to see Alastair Seeley in his tracks on

:25:32. > :25:38.this next that. -- next lap. Alastair Seeley and John McGuinness

:25:38. > :25:44.might just be disappearing. That was the perfect line out of

:25:44. > :25:48.Metropole. Alastair Seeley is definitely pulling away from John

:25:48. > :25:54.McGuinness and closing up onto the back end of William Dunlop. The gap

:25:54. > :25:58.between William Dunlop and John Magennis is as big as it ever was,

:25:58. > :26:04.but Alastair Seeley is on the move. That was a good lap from Alastair

:26:04. > :26:09.Seeley. That might put William Dunlop under pressure. John

:26:09. > :26:18.McGuinness might be thinking, 40, third place, first race today,

:26:18. > :26:27.might settle for this. Alastair Seeley is right behind William

:26:27. > :26:31.Dunlop now, as in, I am about to pass you! I am not so sure he is

:26:31. > :26:38.close enough. We will have to wait and see, maybe next time. He will

:26:38. > :26:46.not get him at York. He has closed right in. He has! Where has that

:26:46. > :26:53.come from?! It is a red flag that stops the race as Alastair Seeley

:26:53. > :27:03.takes the lead. We go back one lap and that means that it is victory

:27:03. > :27:14.

:27:14. > :27:21.for William Dunlop. Maybe William He looks very tired and very happy

:27:21. > :27:26.and why not? Is that the biggest win of your

:27:26. > :27:30.career so far? In it is up there. It has been a long time from

:27:30. > :27:35.getting a win and it is nice to be the first one to get it. You got

:27:35. > :27:38.the bit between their teeth, didn't you? I thought if I could get to

:27:38. > :27:43.the front I could maybe get away, and that was what happened. It was

:27:43. > :27:53.hard to keep the pace on my own. I got tired and made some mistakes,

:27:53. > :27:57.

:27:57. > :28:01.but I made it. The North West 200 isn't the only

:28:01. > :28:04.massive sporting event taking place on the north coast this year. Next

:28:04. > :28:09.month, Royal Portrush hosts the Irish Open golf Championship and

:28:09. > :28:19.you will never believe he we find cutting the grass!

:28:19. > :28:20.

:28:20. > :28:27.You play a bit of golf, don't you? I was meant to be playing today but

:28:27. > :28:35.they have got me cutting the grass. Maybe I will get a game in later. I

:28:35. > :28:42.have got a ride on Mullaghmore, it is fantastic. -- a lot more.

:28:42. > :28:51.was it racing against Michael Rutter? It was a great experience.

:28:51. > :28:55.It was great fun. How much are you looking forward to this year's

:28:55. > :29:00.North West 200? We have build a bike specially for this event.

:29:00. > :29:10.Obviously it is different rules. We can use a slightly different engine.

:29:10. > :29:15.

:29:15. > :29:22.It is only very slightly different. Any bid highlights? The streets,

:29:23. > :29:26.there is nowhere else like it. -- the streets. We have not won since

:29:26. > :29:36.2008, and there are lots of brilliant Irish lads coming up with

:29:36. > :29:43.

:29:43. > :29:47.some brilliant backs and some very Michael Rutter, along with a jelly

:29:47. > :29:51.Dunlop, the most successful Superbike rider in the history of

:29:51. > :29:56.this event. -- Joey Dunlop. There are dozens of newcomers from as far

:29:56. > :30:00.away as Brazil making their debut at the event this year, but it is a

:30:00. > :30:10.newcomer from Northern Ireland who has grabbed the headlines, Jeremy

:30:10. > :30:15.

:30:15. > :30:19.McWilliams, at the age of 48. This career on the roads but plied his

:30:19. > :30:29.trade on the Grand Prix short- circuits, taking on the likes of

:30:29. > :30:36.

:30:36. > :30:41.48 he has not yet hung up his leathers. And now he is taking on a

:30:41. > :30:51.new challenge and doing his homework with the aid of a North

:30:51. > :30:51.

:30:51. > :30:54.It is something new to me. I'm looking forward to the section on

:30:54. > :30:59.the Coast Road. Because of the nature of the circuit, it is quite

:30:59. > :31:05.different on this side to the Coast Road side. There is quite a bit of

:31:05. > :31:10.learning. It was strange to see a Grand Prix hero wearing the new,'s

:31:10. > :31:20.orange top. And then the big moment, his North West 200 debut in the

:31:20. > :31:25.

:31:25. > :31:31.took to the North West 200 like a doctor water, even though Adrian

:31:31. > :31:36.Archibald came along to say hello at one point. -- like a duck to

:31:36. > :31:40.water. What a day it would turn out to be, finishing second along his

:31:40. > :31:44.team mates, Michael Rutter and Ryan Farquhar. I never thought I would

:31:44. > :31:50.get the chance to open a bottle of champagne on the podium, but there

:31:50. > :31:55.is no feeling like it. So it was a dream debut for Jeremy McWilliams.

:31:55. > :32:00.Time for the Superbike race. There was history made at the North West

:32:01. > :32:10.200 in practice, when Martin Jessop went through the speed trap at an

:32:10. > :32:14.amazing 208 mph. What was that It was fast, and I knew it was fast.

:32:14. > :32:20.It was a bit of a shock because I have spent the season riding the

:32:20. > :32:25.Supersport bike. That was my first lap out, so it was a bit of a shock.

:32:25. > :32:30.You are on the second row in a good position on a good bike. What about

:32:30. > :32:34.winning the race? That would be amazing. Even to be speaking about

:32:35. > :32:38.the chance of winning. I have never even been near the podium. We

:32:38. > :32:44.qualified second last year but with the weather we did not get to race.

:32:44. > :32:49.The main thing is to have a safe race and do the best we can. Is a

:32:49. > :32:53.good start absolutely key? Yes. We need to get down to the hairpin at

:32:53. > :33:03.York as quick as we can and try to get past a couple and then it will

:33:03. > :33:07.

:33:07. > :33:11.spread out a bit heading down practice is more difficult.

:33:11. > :33:21.qualified well last year and he was quick out of the box on his out lap.

:33:21. > :33:25.

:33:25. > :33:29.But he is in the middle of the crashed in the Supersport race. We

:33:29. > :33:39.will have to wait to see if he comes back in the next race. Going

:33:39. > :33:43.

:33:43. > :33:48.down through the grid, so much qualifying. They are almost 50

:33:48. > :33:52.bikes out on the start line. This will be a very busy six laps.

:33:52. > :33:56.Alastair Seeley could argue he was saving the best to last and the

:33:56. > :34:02.Supersport race. Maybe this time he will make sure he gets to the front

:34:02. > :34:07.quicker than last time. Another cracking start by John McGuinness.

:34:07. > :34:12.Ian Hutchinson is in third place as they go down Primrose Hill to York

:34:12. > :34:16.for the first time. We are with Michael Dunlop on a Honda. Michael

:34:16. > :34:20.Dunlop did not get the start he might have wanted. Let's go to the

:34:20. > :34:27.front of the field and see what the lead it -- the leading Borderers.

:34:27. > :34:37.It is still John McGuinness. That is a bit of a shock, isn't it?

:34:37. > :35:01.

:35:01. > :35:07.Farquhar did not get a good start grid. This is the race. He did not

:35:07. > :35:17.want to be left behind at the start like last time. Whether Hutchinson

:35:17. > :35:25.can keep this going over six laps is another question. 200 mph as

:35:25. > :35:32.they go down there. No one in this race will be doing less than 195

:35:32. > :35:38.mph along there. Out of the seat, it was Alastair Seeley, momentarily.

:35:38. > :35:42.There is a hump in the circuit there. Sealey is leading the late

:35:42. > :35:49.breakers. Ryan Farquhar nearly made it up the outside. Where has he

:35:49. > :35:59.come from. He was about 15 per going into the York hairpin. -- he

:35:59. > :36:10.

:36:10. > :36:17.is trying to use the draft. Michael Dunlop is close enough to get towed

:36:17. > :36:22.along by the bikes in front. They will hit the brakes for Mather's

:36:23. > :36:32.Cross, the chicane. You want to be sitting up at the 300 metres board

:36:33. > :36:41.

:36:42. > :36:46.at the very least. You want to be on the brakes by 200. Ryan Farquhar

:36:46. > :36:50.with that new Kawasaki Superbike, using all of his power, as they

:36:51. > :36:59.waved their front wheels in the air. That was getting up to 190 mph

:37:00. > :37:06.again. Michael Rutter, a great start from him, in third place.

:37:06. > :37:14.Ryan Farquhar in 4th. Ian Hutchinson in fifth. What will we

:37:14. > :37:23.see from Conor Cummins today? That is Cameron Donald on the Wilson

:37:23. > :37:30.Craig Honda. Hillier is going very well again. Hutchinson nearly got

:37:31. > :37:38.taken. Look how many bikes are involved! James Hillier just scoots

:37:38. > :37:42.past. Gary Johnson wants some of that as well. Along the Coast Road,

:37:43. > :37:47.this is where it turns into short circuit racing. One of the best

:37:47. > :37:56.corners in motor sport coming up ahead of you. You cannot really see

:37:56. > :38:03.it there, but it was breathtaking. Out front, Alastair Seeley, John

:38:03. > :38:08.Magennis and Michael Rutter. John McGuinness was third in the

:38:08. > :38:13.Supersport and now second. This is his territory. Alastair Seeley on

:38:13. > :38:18.the Coast Road, his territory. This is going to be a corker. Michael

:38:18. > :38:22.Rutter in third, he did not have a great grid position. He obviously

:38:22. > :38:28.got a good run, because of the couple of missing people.

:38:28. > :38:31.Nevertheless, third place for Michael Rutter. And you must

:38:31. > :38:41.remember that Alastair Seeley is running on British Superbikes

:38:41. > :38:46.settings. They have knocked back the traction control. Again, it is

:38:46. > :38:52.a super showing from him. Also from Ryan Farquhar. That is a brand new

:38:52. > :38:58.Superbike. This time, he is almost on level pegging. He has only had

:38:58. > :39:04.the bike a few days. He is also almost on Michael Rutter's tail

:39:04. > :39:09.pipe. Looking very, very good. Hutchinson has lost another couple

:39:10. > :39:13.of places. Maybe he is feeling it. He is not as strong as he needs to

:39:13. > :39:20.be for Superbike racing. He is getting bundled backwards in the

:39:20. > :39:26.crowd. Ryan Farquhar against Michael Rutter out front. And then

:39:26. > :39:36.the battle for fifth place with about nine or 10 names. Bruce

:39:36. > :39:36.

:39:36. > :39:42.Anstey, one of those names. He has woken up! How can you tell? Don't

:39:42. > :39:46.they look great and sound great? The fastest, most challenging

:39:46. > :39:52.corner in road racing. Ryan Farquhar tries to make the pass on

:39:52. > :39:56.Michael Rutter. Some of them will further the back brake over there

:39:56. > :40:06.to try to get the front wheel back down. Some of them say they roll

:40:06. > :40:13.

:40:13. > :40:22.down a bit -- they will back a bit, every day of the week. He is one of

:40:22. > :40:26.the smoothest ride as you will see on any road race on the planet.

:40:26. > :40:36.Conor Cummins has been getting some good mentoring this weekend is

:40:36. > :40:37.

:40:37. > :40:41.conference's right back up. Ryan Farquhar is on the Superbike and he

:40:41. > :40:47.has really had one hand tied behind his back in Superbike races of late,

:40:47. > :40:51.but this time he has a good chance. Look at the draft. It is pulling

:40:51. > :40:58.him closer and closer. Many would have expected Michael Dunlop to be

:40:58. > :41:04.closer to the front. Into the Mather's Cross chicane, following

:41:04. > :41:12.the Padgetts Honda of Gary Johnson. Gary Johnson has got past Ian

:41:12. > :41:22.Hutchinson and has Martin Jessops in front of him now. There is

:41:22. > :41:29.another battle going on at the front. He has just blown past two

:41:29. > :41:39.bikes in one breath. And then he loses it again. Michael Rutter from

:41:39. > :41:48.Ryan Farquhar. It is Alastair Seeley and McGuinness out front.

:41:49. > :41:55.Rutter knows that Ryan Farquhar is there. There is a big screen down

:41:55. > :42:02.there for them to watch, so they do not miss the action. Sublime from

:42:02. > :42:07.Rutter. Inch-perfect. Also from Ryan Farquhar. Not so much their

:42:07. > :42:17.from Michael Rutter, a little squirm. But nothing to really give

:42:17. > :42:20.

:42:20. > :42:24.his momentum any cause for concern. Paul Owen is a 250 man. He has this

:42:24. > :42:29.1000 cc machine and he got this deal late in the day. He is just

:42:29. > :42:34.glad to be out there. John McGuinness is glad to be out there

:42:34. > :42:42.as well! Where is Alastair Seeley? He should have been in that picture

:42:42. > :42:47.and he was not. There he is now! What happened to Alastair Seeley?

:42:47. > :42:54.He has missed a gear or done something. He is now down at the

:42:54. > :42:59.back end of the field. He is at the tail-end, in the bottom end of the

:43:00. > :43:05.top 10. 14th, Alastair Seeley. It is all over. He is going to pick

:43:05. > :43:09.them off, but he only has a couple of laps to get back to the front.

:43:09. > :43:13.You save 14th, but that is almost as good as fifth, because they are

:43:13. > :43:18.bunched together and maybe he could still get a podium out of this.

:43:18. > :43:26.They are bunched together. Although it looks spaced out, when you see

:43:26. > :43:31.them on the ground it is nose to tail. John McGuinness is now the

:43:31. > :43:36.race leader. He is free and clear with no one to bother him. He just

:43:36. > :43:46.has to sit there and ride his bike, doing his day-job, and he will pick

:43:46. > :43:48.

:43:48. > :43:53.up another North West 200 win. Bruce Anstey is tucked in. He is

:43:53. > :43:57.not in it, really. Cameron Donald, with his distinctive crash helmet,

:43:57. > :44:04.with Michael Dunlop behind him and then Bruce Anstey. Look how close

:44:04. > :44:12.they are. There are not big spaces between them. John McGuinness is

:44:12. > :44:17.leading the race. Conor Cummins, just past by Alastair Seeley.

:44:17. > :44:27.see what Alastair Seeley can do. Gary Johnson had a moment as well.

:44:27. > :44:35.

:44:35. > :44:44.He has lost some places and is at as they go for the brakes at

:44:44. > :44:49.university. William Dunlop, saw her in hand department. Alastair Seeley,

:44:49. > :44:55.a demon in the breaking department. Alastair Seeley takes its superbly,

:44:55. > :45:03.another non dom. I do not think he was expecting Alastair Seeley to

:45:03. > :45:12.come up behind him like that. is a rider down. It is William

:45:12. > :45:16.Dunlop. He is walking away, so William Dunlop went across the

:45:16. > :45:24.grass. He said his hand was sore and he said he did not think he

:45:24. > :45:31.would get to the end of the race. Cameron Donald in the slipstream

:45:31. > :45:41.and starting to move up. He is going to do the pair of them!

:45:41. > :45:42.

:45:42. > :45:52.Paroled William Dunlop. -- a shame for William Dunlop. That is William

:45:52. > :45:57.Dunlop's bike being cleared away. He always walks a bit like that.

:45:57. > :46:03.What a race this is turning out to be. Alastair Seeley, back to 14th

:46:03. > :46:13.place. He is finding the speed that we know he is capable of and that

:46:13. > :46:20.he is perhaps looking for from his bike. They are very close together

:46:20. > :46:27.on the run down towards Metropole. If you take their high line on the

:46:27. > :46:34.right hand side you can sweep through the corner. This low-lying

:46:34. > :46:39.sometimes requires you to turn tighter and you lose it on the exit.

:46:39. > :46:49.Cameron Donald almost pushed out and James Turley are almost coming

:46:49. > :46:55.

:46:55. > :47:02.The wonder whether he can get on the podium, he is right in the mix.

:47:02. > :47:12.He is not far from a podium finish. If he pulls this off, and he has

:47:12. > :47:17.

:47:17. > :47:27.got time, it would be akin to George Best. Nose to tail through

:47:27. > :47:29.

:47:29. > :47:35.the final chicane. John McGuinness leading the race. This is a race

:47:35. > :47:40.for the last few places in the top six. It is as fierce and intense as

:47:40. > :47:47.the one for the first few places. This has been defused by Alastair

:47:47. > :47:50.Seeley's moment, wherever that was. John McGuinness is running home for

:47:50. > :47:58.another when Aba North West 200. Who would have bet on John

:47:58. > :48:04.McGuinness? It is not over yet. McGuinness has got a good lead.

:48:04. > :48:14.Last time, the advantage was 10 seconds. Cameron Donald will not

:48:14. > :48:31.

:48:31. > :48:37.just out of the Magheraboy chicane. Taking a high line, he is under no

:48:37. > :48:46.pressure. Alastair Seeley goes past Ryan Farquhar and is now in second

:48:46. > :48:51.place! What a ride! Another lap to go after this one. I do not think

:48:51. > :48:57.for poor will get past Alastair Seeley. He is having a go. Alastair

:48:57. > :49:03.Seeley is so determined. So too is Ryan Farquhar, still on for a

:49:03. > :49:13.podium finish. Either way, this will be a good result for Northern

:49:13. > :49:17.

:49:17. > :49:23.Ireland. For the record, Ryan Farquhar has gone too deep.

:49:23. > :49:27.cannot have both. John McGuinness, going back to Alastair Seeley, and

:49:27. > :49:37.another lap to go. It is durable but it would be the right of his

:49:37. > :49:47.life if he is going to catch John McGuinness. -- the ride of his life.

:49:47. > :49:53.I do not think even Alastair Seeley is going to catch John McGuinness.

:49:53. > :50:01.He is not close enough for John McGuinness to worry about. This is

:50:01. > :50:11.a return to form for Conor Cummins. John McGuinness, into the chicane

:50:11. > :50:16.at Mather's Cross. John McGuinness has been strong all week. In every

:50:16. > :50:21.qualifying session he has been there, wet or dry, on time. He does

:50:21. > :50:29.not seem if he is taking it terribly seriously, John McGuinness,

:50:29. > :50:37.ever. He always seems very laid- back. He cannot afford to be led

:50:37. > :50:41.back, but he looks like he has got it in the back. Four seconds, maybe

:50:41. > :50:44.3.5 seconds for Alastair Seeley to take it out of him. He is leaving

:50:45. > :50:54.Ryan Farquhar and Roger behind. It is all down to John McGuinness as

:50:54. > :50:59.he goes around Metropole. I think we are looking at a genius. He just

:50:59. > :51:05.rides the race. You just cannot touch him. Nobody is going to catch

:51:05. > :51:08.John McGuinness before the finish line now. It would take a mistake.

:51:08. > :51:16.All of the talking about Alastair Seeley getting five Honor Oak,

:51:16. > :51:20.looks like he will get another second place. -- five in a row.

:51:20. > :51:25.Fantastic recovery after he overshot Church Corner. Showing

:51:25. > :51:30.what an outstanding rider he is. John McGuinness in a lead. The sun

:51:31. > :51:35.is blazing down on another little piece of history. Alastair Seeley,

:51:35. > :51:39.he needed to win this to get his record and he is not going to do

:51:39. > :51:49.that. It put him under a lot of pressure. He has got to win the 600

:51:49. > :51:55.race later to be in with a chance. Michael Dunlop, too fast. I was

:51:55. > :51:59.going to say, Conor Cummins has lost a handful of places. Michael

:52:00. > :52:03.Dunlop will have to make sure he does not go out in front of him.

:52:03. > :52:08.That chicane comes up very quickly. You have just got to know it is

:52:08. > :52:18.their added is easy to make mistakes like that. No advantage

:52:18. > :52:31.

:52:31. > :52:34.will be a very lucky motorcycle racer. That is a battle for third

:52:34. > :52:39.place at the North West 200. Michael Rutter, a great performance

:52:39. > :52:44.on a Kawasaki. I think he will be really happy. If you had asked him

:52:44. > :52:48.what he would finish, if you had said podium, he would have given

:52:48. > :52:57.you a stern look. This is a great performance on a Kawasaki so far.

:52:57. > :53:04.Ryan Farquhar on a Kawasaki as well. He knows that Ryan Farquhar is

:53:04. > :53:10.tired at the end of this race. It takes it out of you. He is thinking,

:53:10. > :53:16.if I ride smoothly, the podium is there for the taking. The

:53:16. > :53:22.slipstream will help him past Station Corner. Alastair Seeley, he

:53:22. > :53:32.took that 2.5 seconds out of John McGuinness. It looks like John

:53:32. > :53:33.

:53:33. > :53:43.McGuinness has got this one. Third place up for grabs. Third place,

:53:43. > :53:43.

:53:44. > :53:53.Michael Rutter. Cameron Donald coming into the picture as well.

:53:54. > :54:03.

:54:03. > :54:07.Lead at the speed he is gaining. -- Seeley in second place. Cameron

:54:07. > :54:17.Donald wants to get involved and he is running out of time. I cannot

:54:17. > :54:27.get over Alastair Seeley or -- in second place. He is chasing after

:54:27. > :54:32.

:54:32. > :54:42.John McGuinness. Martin Jessop, looking to see who is behind him in

:54:42. > :54:52.

:54:52. > :55:01.13th place. Michael Rutter, being buffeted as we go back to Bruce

:55:01. > :55:09.Anstey. I do not think he will catch Cameron Donald in fifth place.

:55:09. > :55:13.He never stops trying. Cameron Donald, he has passed Ryan Farquhar

:55:13. > :55:22.and has now got Michael Rutter in his sights. There is the race

:55:22. > :55:30.leader, just a Coast Road to go for John McGuinness. He is not going to

:55:30. > :55:35.give up his lead to Alastair Seeley now. The battle for third place is

:55:35. > :55:39.very much on. I think we have seen the best of Ryan Farquhar on this

:55:40. > :55:47.race. We are looking down on John McGuinness. Another Superbike win.

:55:47. > :55:57.He. One a few years ago. -- he got one. It will be when No. 6 for John

:55:57. > :55:57.

:55:57. > :56:05.McGuinness. A-class the wind from John McGuinness, as always. There

:56:05. > :56:14.is Alastair Miss Suu Kyi -- Alastair Seeley. The chequered flag

:56:14. > :56:24.will fall for John McGuinness. Where's the chequered flag, John

:56:24. > :56:39.

:56:39. > :56:46.How good did that feel? Fantastic. Alastair Seeley came past me and I

:56:46. > :56:51.was trying so hard to hold onto the back of him. He went straight on at

:56:51. > :57:01.Church Corner and that was his mistake. I put two or three fast

:57:01. > :57:01.

:57:01. > :57:11.laps in. I just said today, I will finish where I finish. I decided to

:57:11. > :57:23.

:57:23. > :57:27.A fantastic Superbike win for John McGuinness. Phillip McCallen, your

:57:27. > :57:31.record is saved. John McGuinness saved my record there. He got off

:57:31. > :57:36.the blocks and got a good start. Alastair Seeley came back at him

:57:36. > :57:40.and made a mistake. It just shows you, no matter how well you prepare

:57:40. > :57:45.yourself, you make that mistake and you lose the race. What a great day
