:00:00. > :00:43.Good evening. This is Olympic sports day. I work top story this evening:

:00:44. > :00:49.concerns that the Paralympic games will not be as originally planned,

:00:50. > :00:53.with major Budget cuts. Team GB are still sitting second in the Olympic

:00:54. > :00:57.medal table. The tally could rise after the show jumping with Nick

:00:58. > :01:02.Skelton going strong at the age of 58. There is a guaranteed medal

:01:03. > :01:05.coming up later this evening in the hockey. Great Britain's women are

:01:06. > :01:10.meant the final against the Netherlands. Tonight is the night

:01:11. > :01:15.for Usain Bolt. His final Olympic race as he looks to complete that

:01:16. > :01:20.treble treble. Also coming up we will have the rest of the sports

:01:21. > :01:24.headlines away from Rio as Jose Mourinho and Manchester United

:01:25. > :01:31.prepare for the first of a guiding light fixtures this season. -- first

:01:32. > :01:35.Friday night fixtures. Three more days to go in B O. We are

:01:36. > :01:40.second in the medal table and we will show you why the experts think

:01:41. > :01:44.they can stay there. We will get to the equestrian centre just a moment

:01:45. > :01:48.or two with hopes of a British medal in a jump of. Well done if you

:01:49. > :01:52.stayed up late got up early for the medals overnight. We will look back

:01:53. > :01:55.with a brilliant sniper Jade Jones. And Usain Bolt as well. But we will

:01:56. > :02:00.start this evening with that Paralympic News. Games are going to

:02:01. > :02:04.be very different from the original plans because of massive financial

:02:05. > :02:10.constraints. Let's cross live to the Olympic Park now and speak to our

:02:11. > :02:14.correspondence. Chris, Sir Philip Craven, the head of the Paralympic

:02:15. > :02:19.movement, put on a brave face in the last couple of hours. They looked to

:02:20. > :02:25.be in a really dire situation still. Yes. I think that is probably fair.

:02:26. > :02:28.This is news we had been expecting. Today confirmation of course. Beers

:02:29. > :02:34.at the beginning of the Olympic Games that even before the ticket

:02:35. > :02:38.sales for the Paralympic were pretty poor, they were struggling to

:02:39. > :02:43.attract sponsorship, and then the news that the Government could not

:02:44. > :02:48.plug a financial gap because of an injunction that no more public money

:02:49. > :02:52.could be injected into the Olympic Games and the Paralympic games. That

:02:53. > :02:55.injunction has been lifted but it turns out, the money that the

:02:56. > :03:00.Government are putting in is not enough and as you say, there will

:03:01. > :03:04.now be a scaled-back Paralympic games. To give you an example of

:03:05. > :03:09.where these cuts will hit, there will be a reduced number of staff,

:03:10. > :03:15.transport reductions as well. Less drivers, closing of venues,

:03:16. > :03:20.especially some venues at a complex, and the Olympic Park venue will

:03:21. > :03:27.close. Some media centres as well will close and reduced capacity at

:03:28. > :03:32.the venues that will be open. So it is a big blow to the IPC and the

:03:33. > :03:36.Paralympic games, perhaps unexpected given some of the noises we have

:03:37. > :03:42.been hearing him. This is The View of Philip Craven.

:03:43. > :03:46.Never before in the 56 year history of the Paralympic games have we

:03:47. > :03:50.faced circumstances like this. Clearly, Brazil is in a far

:03:51. > :03:56.different position now to the one that it was in October 2009 when it

:03:57. > :04:00.won the right to stage the games. The situation is difficult for

:04:01. > :04:04.everyone involved and on top of bringing in extra revenues and

:04:05. > :04:11.making cuts, we need to sell more tickets. At this point, it difficult

:04:12. > :04:20.for us to expect the full venues that we saw in Beijing or London or

:04:21. > :04:22.expected to in Tokyo. The captain of the strolling women's wheelchair

:04:23. > :04:28.basketball team at the Sydney 2000 Paralympics said: Paralympic instead

:04:29. > :04:35.have the time to worry about what doesn't work, they just maximise

:04:36. > :04:37.what styles. And I can assure you that is what we are going to do

:04:38. > :04:43.here. -- maximise what styles. Strong

:04:44. > :04:46.words than at a got under three weeks to do all of this. I was

:04:47. > :04:51.listening to the conference as you were. The one thing that jumped out

:04:52. > :04:54.was there working desperately hard to protect athletes services.

:04:55. > :05:00.Slightly corporate speak therefore we want all the athletes to come.

:05:01. > :05:04.But that is in doubt, isn't it? Yes, I think it is. I think Sir

:05:05. > :05:07.Philip Craven also said they were working hour by hour. This is not

:05:08. > :05:14.just a case of day by day. It really is that close. Initially, when these

:05:15. > :05:21.fears that emerged it was understood that up to 50 of the 165 countries

:05:22. > :05:26.may be struggling to make it here to Rio and now we believe around ten of

:05:27. > :05:30.the smaller nations will struggle. Several of Craven says he believes

:05:31. > :05:35.that all of the athletes who have been working very hard for the past

:05:36. > :05:39.four years, expecting to be year, should be allowed to compete. As it

:05:40. > :05:48.stands, that of course is now in jeopardy. Let's hear from a veteran

:05:49. > :05:52.of the Paralympic games. That is really disappointing. The

:05:53. > :05:55.smaller countries, that doesn't make it any better. Just as I was reading

:05:56. > :05:58.the statement, you wonder whether Britain and America... There are

:05:59. > :06:03.more developed countries could maybe find a way of making it happen. The

:06:04. > :06:06.IPC does not have a huge amount of money but it would be hugely

:06:07. > :06:10.disappointing if there is not some way around it. There are 20 days was

:06:11. > :06:14.that you can do a huge amount in 20 days and you can get people there.

:06:15. > :06:18.We will see. This one will run and run. We will see how ready they get

:06:19. > :06:25.for that September the 7th start. URA sports news correspondent. The

:06:26. > :06:30.American swimmers, sounds like we are the little bit closer to the

:06:31. > :06:33.truth of what actually happened to them and the Brazilian police have

:06:34. > :06:38.called off the dogs. Yes. We may well finally have

:06:39. > :06:44.closure on one of the bizarre wrist Olympic stories of all time.

:06:45. > :06:48.Remember an Olympic gold medallist, one of the most high profile members

:06:49. > :06:53.of team USA, earlier in the week said that himself and three of his

:06:54. > :06:56.team-mates had been held up at gunpoint then the police said there

:06:57. > :07:03.was no evidence of this having taken place and all seemed a little bit

:07:04. > :07:07.fishy. Then CCTV footage emerged of him and his team-mates at a petrol

:07:08. > :07:10.station appearing to get into some kind of argument with the petrol

:07:11. > :07:15.station staff. Basically what has happened as the police stay they

:07:16. > :07:21.made the story up to cover up the bat that they were out late and it

:07:22. > :07:27.looks like they perhaps rout enjoying Rio and tried to cover up

:07:28. > :07:32.the fact that they were indeed out perhaps without the permission of

:07:33. > :07:37.the US team. He has since apologised for suggesting that he had been held

:07:38. > :07:41.up. I think a gun was held up to himself and his team-mates during

:07:42. > :07:47.the incident at the petrol station. They paid for some of the damage

:07:48. > :07:53.done at the petrol station. He has now apologised. The old 2016 said

:07:54. > :08:00.that they welcomed the apology because the Brazilian people felt

:08:01. > :08:03.somewhat humiliated by the story. Rio 2016 Brazil in general has not

:08:04. > :08:08.had problems in terms of controversial stories, true

:08:09. > :08:13.controversial stories with Garda security, so bad that was one that

:08:14. > :08:18.they did not need. It appears he did make the story up but it may well

:08:19. > :08:22.bring to an end one of the stranger stories in Olympic history, as I

:08:23. > :08:27.say. Let's hope so.

:08:28. > :08:30.Many thanks. Let's get back to Olympic sporting matters. The

:08:31. > :08:34.equestrian centre where Team GB have medal chances in the individual

:08:35. > :08:39.jumping final. It was Mark leather two rounds. Nick Skelton and Ben

:08:40. > :08:46.Meier the only British riders after Michael Whitaker's was had with four

:08:47. > :08:50.because of medical symptoms. Skelton, who is 58, is competing in

:08:51. > :08:54.his seventh column picks. He topped the rankings after a seventh clear

:08:55. > :08:58.round. The same partnership that helped win team gold in 2012. But

:08:59. > :09:02.they felt qualified that the team final in Rio. It went clear inside

:09:03. > :09:07.the time ever both France. As the bombers could not be beaten by five

:09:08. > :09:15.other riders have equalled it so far to force a jump of for the gold. So

:09:16. > :09:20.nothing guaranteed. He is into that jump off. It was a great night for

:09:21. > :09:33.Jade Jones in the tae kwon do. We will hear from her. He won bronze in

:09:34. > :09:39.London. He has been hampered by injuries over the last year. He was

:09:40. > :09:44.in complete control. 14 nil up at the end of the second round against

:09:45. > :09:50.his Australian opponent. They'd is called the bout of them gave it to

:09:51. > :09:56.Muhammad. The quarter finals are later this evening.

:09:57. > :10:00.It is exactly what I wanted. Rio is a beautiful city and I'm here

:10:01. > :10:03.enjoying myself. I just want to keep doing this.

:10:04. > :10:08.One down, three to go. It was the bronze medal three years ago. You

:10:09. > :10:13.want to do better this time around. I'm only here for gold. I've got

:10:14. > :10:18.three more matches to accomplish my gold. So it is three medal -- gold

:10:19. > :10:22.medal or bust. Let's hear from Jade Jones in the

:10:23. > :10:26.tae kwon do. Four years ago she was the youngest gold medallist for Team

:10:27. > :10:30.GB. The 19-year-old, who loves kicking people in the head,

:10:31. > :10:36.remember, her nickname was the head hunter and still is. She retained

:10:37. > :10:43.her tae kwon do title, beating Spain's competitor.

:10:44. > :10:46.I knew I could win but in tae kwon do anything can happen. You can get

:10:47. > :10:50.kicked in the head in the last few seconds and the best does not always

:10:51. > :10:56.win so until I got the gold medal round my neck, I can't imagine it

:10:57. > :10:59.and it is just amazing to finally have it.

:11:00. > :11:03.You won gold in London 2012. Did you feel more pressure coming into this

:11:04. > :11:05.competition as the defending champion?

:11:06. > :11:07.Yes. I knew I would have pressure coming into it but I did not know

:11:08. > :11:14.how much until yesterday to be honest. I have never felt anything

:11:15. > :11:17.like the pressures will stop it was horrible. But I managed to pull

:11:18. > :11:21.through and just kept thinking to myself, one fight at a time. This is

:11:22. > :11:26.what I do. They in day out. It doesn't matter if it is the Olympics

:11:27. > :11:28.or just doing what I do and it's paid off.

:11:29. > :11:32.What does it mean to you to see the scenes at home?

:11:33. > :11:37.It is amazing. The home support I get is a men's. I could not ask for

:11:38. > :11:41.more. I've got ten of my family members who have flown out what to

:11:42. > :11:45.be. They are always behind me. And it does mean so much and makes me go

:11:46. > :11:52.that extra bit further. Seeing their reaction is just amazing and I face

:11:53. > :11:56.time them after the semifinal and my friend was showing me around and get

:11:57. > :12:01.to speak to my dad and it is such an amazing feeling. They are just

:12:02. > :12:04.genuinely all wanting me to do well. It is just lovely. Let's have a

:12:05. > :12:09.quick look around some of the other venues. Events taking place today.

:12:10. > :12:13.The heat won a silver for Team GB in the double sprint carrier on

:12:14. > :12:17.Wednesday. He has qualified for tomorrow's final of the singles in

:12:18. > :12:22.the quickest time. The women's fours are through to the finals of the

:12:23. > :12:28.kayak sprint after finishing joint second in their heat is just behind

:12:29. > :12:31.Germany. Medal a real possibility for Britain there. Great Britain's

:12:32. > :12:37.Samantha Murray has finished fourth fastest in the modern pentathlon and

:12:38. > :12:42.freestyle swimming. She was able aiming to make up for it responding

:12:43. > :12:45.start in the fencing. That was followed by a chance to score extra

:12:46. > :12:50.points in the bonus round of the fencing. A new addition to the

:12:51. > :12:58.modern pentathlon. Murray, who won the silver medal in London, is

:12:59. > :13:03.waiting to see how that improved her position in the standings. Her

:13:04. > :13:07.team-mate Kate French who fed by the better yesterday was 15th fastest in

:13:08. > :13:11.the pool but did not score any extra points in the fencing bonus rounds

:13:12. > :13:15.today. Great Britain's Charlie Hull is in contention in the third round

:13:16. > :13:18.of the women's golf. She was nine under overall. Shot for the day

:13:19. > :13:25.after that birdie on the tenth. She is in a fall way tie for second

:13:26. > :13:32.place. Three shots by the leader. -- behind the leader. The world number

:13:33. > :13:51.one made a very impressive charge up the leaderboard. This hole in one. A

:13:52. > :13:58.round of 65. Mark Cavendish we back on the road racing next month. The

:13:59. > :14:03.British side the track in VO and managed to break his Olympic top of

:14:04. > :14:10.the first medal for him. A silver. Finally. The third Olympics. It took

:14:11. > :14:14.a lot. As I was talking yesterday it is hard to believe that just a few

:14:15. > :14:19.weeks ago I was riding over the Pyrenees and falls and then anything

:14:20. > :14:26.changed went to the velodrome and competing in the Olympics is just

:14:27. > :14:29.just so different. For me to represent Great Britain is such an

:14:30. > :14:36.honour. The Olympic of the best things to do that. It is the biggest

:14:37. > :14:40.thing. To come away with the medal not just the track cyclist but the

:14:41. > :14:45.whole of Team GB, it is quite an honour. I am a professional bike

:14:46. > :14:48.rider and know what it is like to crash. I'm not going to put somebody

:14:49. > :14:53.into danger that I know I in as well. Especially someone I like, a

:14:54. > :14:59.good bike rider. He was not in a medal position. It had no bearing if

:15:00. > :15:03.I did something to him anyway, you know? But I spoke to him and he's

:15:04. > :15:09.all right about it. And I'm glad he's all right, really. It obviously

:15:10. > :15:13.I get asked questions. It was a basic mistake. It was mistake on my

:15:14. > :15:17.part. It was my fault. Still don't know how the judges let

:15:18. > :15:20.him get away with that but glad they did because that he got his Olympic

:15:21. > :15:24.medal finally. Let's just move away from Rio for

:15:25. > :15:27.just a minute or two to bring you some non-Olympics port. Assuming it

:15:28. > :15:31.is the first Friday Premier League match of the new season. Manchester

:15:32. > :15:37.United attempted Southampton looking to make it two wins of two. One

:15:38. > :15:40.player could make his first appearance for the club since

:15:41. > :15:47.rejoining them. Sometimes even without you noticing,

:15:48. > :15:52.we changed. So if you are expecting us the change to magically assistant

:15:53. > :15:58.that the player, we're not going to do that. Not to play with five then

:15:59. > :16:04.the back because in Juventus it was playing with by then the back and he

:16:05. > :16:07.played them for many years and in that system we're not going to do

:16:08. > :16:12.that. So we are not going for the dramatic changes.

:16:13. > :16:20.These are the rest of the fixtures across the weekend. Manchester city.

:16:21. > :16:26.Many a great manager has come unstuck at the Britannia. At the

:16:27. > :16:30.King power his first against second from last season. Leicester and

:16:31. > :16:33.Arsenal looking to bounce back from opening-day defeats. A couple of

:16:34. > :16:37.matches on the Sunday including the north-east derby for the season

:16:38. > :16:42.which will be Sunderland against Middlesbrough in the absence of

:16:43. > :16:47.Newcastle. It is a Friday night match in the Scottish Premiership as

:16:48. > :16:50.well. Dundee at home to Hamilton. Celtic at Saint Johnstone. Leaders

:16:51. > :16:57.Rangers are at home to mother will. Also him games for Aberdeen, hearts

:16:58. > :17:02.Ross County. This weekend Guernsey FC is making a fake up history when

:17:03. > :17:05.they play Thamesmead town in the preliminary round of the

:17:06. > :17:10.competition. It will be the first FA Cup match to be held on the Channel

:17:11. > :17:14.Islands. Their manager says it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for

:17:15. > :17:19.the club and the islanders. Mike Wilkins reports. At last the FA

:17:20. > :17:22.Cup in the Channel Islands. This cup has been too many places but it is

:17:23. > :17:25.the first time it has been to Guernsey and tomorrow it will be the

:17:26. > :17:31.first time the competition has ever been played outside the UK.

:17:32. > :17:35.It is great to be able to expand the horizons of the FA Cup, really. To

:17:36. > :17:39.be able to get a game played in the Guernsey for the first time ever is

:17:40. > :17:42.major and I'm delighted we could bring the cup along.

:17:43. > :17:46.At this hotel the manager has a particular interest in the cup. Here

:17:47. > :17:50.he is holding it must 30 years ago after his dad won it as the manager

:17:51. > :17:56.of Coventry City. We had a big party, as you would.

:17:57. > :17:59.Then came home until the early hours.

:18:00. > :18:05.And the cup came home with you question what it did indeed. Came

:18:06. > :18:11.home with dad. I took it to bed, which is a bit weird. I left it next

:18:12. > :18:14.to the bed night, yeah. On this page, Guernsey FC who play

:18:15. > :18:20.in the eighth tier of endless football would play on a pitch

:18:21. > :18:24.closer to France than the UK. They were supposed to hold a match three

:18:25. > :18:30.years ago but a fixture trash with the rugby club who also use this

:18:31. > :18:33.ground meant that it had been played in the UK. They said their river

:18:34. > :18:36.that is disappointment and say tomorrow's matches a great

:18:37. > :18:41.opportunity for sports fans. He won't get an opportunity in

:18:42. > :18:44.Guernsey to come close to this trophy because in seven or eight

:18:45. > :18:47.months' time there will be someone very famous listing this trophy and

:18:48. > :18:51.unfortunately probably won't be as this is as close as we will ever

:18:52. > :18:55.gets to it. Never say never when it comes to the

:18:56. > :18:59.FA Cup and will lose tomorrow, for Guernsey it will be a historic day

:19:00. > :19:07.as it finally gets to host its very own home FA Cup match.

:19:08. > :19:12.Keep an eye out for that result tomorrow. Let's get back to Rio and

:19:13. > :19:16.look at where some of the headlines are being made later that later. Our

:19:17. > :19:21.correspondence has been waiting patiently. You are in position

:19:22. > :19:24.there. Something must be afoot. What should I try and stay awake for this

:19:25. > :19:27.evening? There is plenty to stay away for

:19:28. > :19:34.this evening but what you are probably going to want to stay awake

:19:35. > :19:40.for, around 2:35am your time, is Usain Bolt going in the four by 100

:19:41. > :19:45.m relay. Can people love the unprecedented treble treble? Use

:19:46. > :19:50.already defended his 100 metre title and the 200 metre title and 90 goes

:19:51. > :19:54.for the third title. He would be the first man in history to ever defend

:19:55. > :19:58.successfully three titles three times. But last night he was looking

:19:59. > :20:02.to break that world record of his own world record of 19 point one

:20:03. > :20:05.seconds and it did not happen for him because about 20 minutes before

:20:06. > :20:10.the race started was a lot of rain which really put paid to that record

:20:11. > :20:12.going. When he crossed that line he would rather disappointed with

:20:13. > :20:17.himself and he said afterwards he just wasn't happy with that time

:20:18. > :20:20.because he knew that was his last Olympic 200 metre final. He has

:20:21. > :20:24.already talked about retiring next year after the World Championships

:20:25. > :20:29.in London. And that was the last moment and he did look disappointed.

:20:30. > :20:32.In that relay final tonight is Great Britain, the European champions, but

:20:33. > :20:36.is anyone really expecting them to get round without dropping the bat

:20:37. > :20:39.on because they never do? Four times that of the last five games they

:20:40. > :20:43.have managed to drop the bat on on the way round so it certainly will

:20:44. > :20:46.be interesting. All eyes on Usain Bolt.

:20:47. > :20:51.Stay right where you are I promise I will be back to talk to you. Let's

:20:52. > :20:57.take you to the equestrian centre because Nick Skelton is into a sixth

:20:58. > :21:02.man jump of four gold in the individual jumping there. At the age

:21:03. > :21:07.of 58, his seventh Olympics. This is what is happening there right now.

:21:08. > :21:11.He is going first in this jump. We will bring you this. Probably not in

:21:12. > :21:15.our time on Olympics was day. We will show you where he comes. This

:21:16. > :21:26.is probably the biggest fight of his Olympic career.

:21:27. > :21:31.It is always suited Nick to go first Nations cups. He likes to get out

:21:32. > :21:36.there, do his round and he would try to put the pressure on. He's got to

:21:37. > :21:42.for it. The team manager in the middle. Here

:21:43. > :21:55.we go for gold. Nick Skelton in the jump off against the clock. From the

:21:56. > :22:03.second fence back to this vertical, insides turn, and now the double.

:22:04. > :22:10.Triple bar going in. Brilliantly over that. Now the... Lessig time

:22:11. > :22:14.check over here. Over on 28.8. APPLAUSE

:22:15. > :22:20.He has got to do turn back to this vertical. One left to go. Just get

:22:21. > :22:28.up to the last. APPLAUSE

:22:29. > :22:33.Isn't enough? 42. 82. Give him a cheer, for goodness sake. That is a

:22:34. > :22:37.great great start. 42.80 two. What a start for Nick

:22:38. > :22:42.Skelton. Five more riders to go vote counts do any better than that so he

:22:43. > :22:46.is going to hope that his rivals pick up some penalties. It could go

:22:47. > :22:53.to another jump off of course. But Nick Skelton a William first ride in

:22:54. > :23:04.that individual show-jumping. -- a brilliant first ride. You probably

:23:05. > :23:07.didn't trust me but you are back. We had to show everybody that. Nick

:23:08. > :23:13.Skelton going strong. Back on the track. The field, Holly Bradshaw in

:23:14. > :23:18.the pole vault. She is. And this is her second

:23:19. > :23:21.Olympic final. She was very London. He only came sixth and she said that

:23:22. > :23:26.was heartbreaking because Jerry series of jobs where she knew she

:23:27. > :23:29.couldn't and better. She has had back surgery and spent a lot of time

:23:30. > :23:34.in bed trying to get back that was in 2013. She is now back and jumping

:23:35. > :23:39.well and she said on Twitter today, I'm going to give it everything I've

:23:40. > :23:42.got but most of all I'm going to have fun and enjoy myself.

:23:43. > :23:48.This is an event that will not be contested by the world

:23:49. > :23:52.record-holder. She is Russian and of course the Russian track and field

:23:53. > :23:55.team are not here because of the concerns over state-sponsored

:23:56. > :24:00.doping. For Holly Bradshaw, there could be a medal in this. She is an

:24:01. > :24:04.outside shot but if you really perform to our best it could be an

:24:05. > :24:11.interesting night. Wonder what would be the 5000

:24:12. > :24:19.metres. We know what happened in the 10,000 metres. Absolutely smashing

:24:20. > :24:23.the world record. One of the very early highlights. She is expected to

:24:24. > :24:28.do the same in the five, is she? Yes. She is. He is looking really

:24:29. > :24:33.strong in the heats as well. It was not just breaking that world record,

:24:34. > :24:36.it was 13 seconds, it was absolutely... She destroyed the

:24:37. > :24:39.field. We cannot keep our people are so many people being lapped that it

:24:40. > :24:44.was impossible to know what was going on and she is trying to do

:24:45. > :24:49.what Mo Farah did and go out and do the double. He does not face until

:24:50. > :24:53.tomorrow night. But she really has all the pressure on her to go on and

:24:54. > :24:57.do that whereas for me what to do is in the 10,000 she came from nowhere

:24:58. > :25:02.and no one expected her to do what she did. It is a neat circle of life

:25:03. > :25:08.because it was 28 years ago that her mother won silver in the 10,000

:25:09. > :25:11.metres. She says she does not feel any pressure going out there. She

:25:12. > :25:15.really just wanted to make the final and really wants to enjoy it. He

:25:16. > :25:19.came fifth in the heat and now does question of going out, running a

:25:20. > :25:24.strong, good race and just enjoying her Olympic experience.

:25:25. > :25:31.Given around many venues at the Olympic Stadium. The crowds haven't

:25:32. > :25:34.been great but I presume for a Usain Bolt night you hope for a full

:25:35. > :25:38.house? To be honest, the only time this

:25:39. > :25:44.place has been rocking is when Usain Bolt is here. It was quite a good

:25:45. > :25:49.crowds at a morning session but not as busy. Whenever he has been in

:25:50. > :25:54.town for seats, SMEs or his finals, the crowd is love him. He's a star

:25:55. > :25:57.that just transcends his sport. It will be busy tonight and because

:25:58. > :26:01.he's going for that unprecedented travel travel it is bound to be

:26:02. > :26:07.loud. The atmosphere will be good. It always is when he is in town. You

:26:08. > :26:17.convince me. I will stay up late tonight. Many thanks indeed. Let's

:26:18. > :26:21.head back to the equestrian centre. Nick Skelton in a jump. They are run

:26:22. > :26:28.to the third rider. Let's take you live back there. The next two

:26:29. > :26:34.riders, big, have picked up thoughts. So there were three riders

:26:35. > :26:40.to go. As it stands, Nick Skelton has not been bettered so these next

:26:41. > :26:44.three riders have got to go around perfectly to force another jump off

:26:45. > :26:49.I think. My equestrian rules and regulations are coming flooding back

:26:50. > :26:54.to me but Nick Skelton is in pole position and are right now in the

:26:55. > :26:59.individual show-jumping final. At the age of 58 in the jump off. We

:27:00. > :27:04.will be back with that on BBC News just as soon as we can once we have

:27:05. > :27:09.some results. Another couple of medal prospects for Team GB on day

:27:10. > :27:13.14 MBO. More history to be made. Great Britain's hockey players take

:27:14. > :27:18.on the Netherlands and the final later. Britain have never won an

:27:19. > :27:21.Olympic title in this. They are up against the team who won in Beijing

:27:22. > :27:33.and London. That final is about nine o'clock our time. The super

:27:34. > :27:41.heavyweight boxing semifinal. That semifinal is going to start the next

:27:42. > :27:46.20 minutes. Team GB has been tipped to hang on to second in the medal

:27:47. > :27:50.table. The company that has been very accurately predicting Olympic

:27:51. > :27:54.results down the years has actually revised its forecast for Rio and

:27:55. > :28:01.looking at the last three years of competition they put team GB above

:28:02. > :28:07.China. They put the two countries level on 25 golds, by Sunday night,

:28:08. > :28:11.but with more silvers, crucially for Great Britain so they would just

:28:12. > :28:19.come out on top. This is how the table looks right now. 22 goals.

:28:20. > :28:22.United States way out in front. That is it from Olympic sports day. It is

:28:23. > :28:27.going to be much more sporty about BBC News including the final of that

:28:28. > :28:29.jump of involving Nick Skelton but from all of us at the sports centre,

:28:30. > :28:30.goodbye for
