:00:06. > :00:11.Good evening and welcome to the BBC's Special Olympic torch relay

:00:11. > :00:21.programme. From Darley Park in the city of Derby were along with

:00:21. > :00:55.

:00:55. > :01:03.thousands of people, we await the Good evening of from beautiful

:01:03. > :01:06.Darley Park. We are situated on the River Derwent, a gateway to a World

:01:06. > :01:11.Heritage Site. Five biggest countryside just a walk away from

:01:11. > :01:15.the centre of Derby. This is usually a haven of peace and

:01:15. > :01:19.tranquillity. I do not think you can say that this evening. There

:01:19. > :01:24.are thousands of people here but more importantly I have with me

:01:24. > :01:30.Colin Jackson, one of the greatest athletes of this country. Welcome

:01:31. > :01:36.to Derby. Thank you very much indeed. I am so excited to be here.

:01:36. > :01:40.People are still pouring into this part. It is just sensational and

:01:40. > :01:45.all for a very good reason. know more about it than most

:01:45. > :01:50.because the main reason we are here, you were a torch-bearer. I was

:01:50. > :01:56.lucky enough to carry the torch in Swansea. One of the city's I have

:01:56. > :02:01.trained in for the Olympic Games. special moment for everyone who has

:02:01. > :02:11.carried the torch. It started this morning when it left Nottingham

:02:11. > :02:43.

:02:43. > :02:48.Castle and here are just a few It brings back so many memories

:02:48. > :02:51.seeing all those beautiful shots and it excites me to know that

:02:51. > :02:57.other people when experience exactly the same five but I did.

:02:57. > :03:01.There was a lot of tingling going on everywhere. They did say this is

:03:01. > :03:08.usually a quiet place, lots of wild life, different kind of wildlife

:03:08. > :03:15.tonight. Overhead you can often see Peregrine's. They are not here

:03:15. > :03:21.tonight but we do have a Sky -- I in the sky. Yes, the torch is

:03:21. > :03:27.continuing apace towards you and Colin. At the moment it is in St

:03:27. > :03:34.Mary's Gate, it has just past the cathedral, a large crowd outside

:03:34. > :03:39.the Cathedral. A long Ashbourne Road, big crowds as well, Derby's

:03:39. > :03:46.historic mile. People turning out in force to see this historic event.

:03:46. > :03:52.It will then go down the Strand, St James's Street and into marketplace

:03:53. > :03:57.where there are very big crowds indeed. It is great to have though

:03:57. > :04:04.shot up there as well. It gives you an idea of how many people. We

:04:04. > :04:10.reckon they could be 20,000 people here at Darling Park tonight. --

:04:10. > :04:14.Darley Park. The Games is literally on our doorstep and that is what

:04:14. > :04:18.excites everybody. Many of the athletes who will take part here at

:04:18. > :04:22.the Games will understand how much as the board they are getting from

:04:22. > :04:28.the British public. When they see so many people turning up to accept

:04:28. > :04:33.the torch, that is a special moment for them and they will realise that.

:04:33. > :04:38.They have the whole of the UK as a fan base. Wonderful! There was a

:04:38. > :04:43.concern that the Olympics would not touch people outside of London but

:04:43. > :04:46.that has been blown out of the water. Absolutely. I thank

:04:46. > :04:51.everybody in the regions for showing their support because it

:04:51. > :04:57.from make a difference. If we are high above the crowds, looking down

:04:57. > :05:02.on everyone. Lot of people have spotted Colin Jackson already. They

:05:02. > :05:05.just keep coming in. They are pouring in, left right and centre.

:05:05. > :05:11.There was a time when I was thinking surely it would stop

:05:11. > :05:15.because we will run out of Ram but no, people are still coming.

:05:15. > :05:25.whole journey of the torch started much earlier today from Nottingham

:05:25. > :05:29.

:05:29. > :05:39.Castle. It made its way to Bolsover Castle. Into Chatsworth and Quentin

:05:39. > :05:47.

:05:47. > :05:52.Rayner has been looking back at the As the band struck up at Nottingham

:05:52. > :05:56.Castle, nothing this time was raining on this parade. Legend has

:05:56. > :06:02.it that Robin Hood was a man of give and take, but like the Olympic

:06:02. > :06:05.torch relay. Barbara Green was the first torch-bearer of the day as

:06:05. > :06:15.the flame set off on his journey from Nottingham Castle to Derby.

:06:15. > :06:19.

:06:19. > :06:24.From bolivar to Bolivar the torch lit up the packed streets of

:06:24. > :06:29.Nottingham as it headed north of the city. At the Ellis Guilford

:06:29. > :06:32.school there was a shelf for medal- winning swimmer. It has been such

:06:32. > :06:37.an honour and there are so many people that would love to do

:06:37. > :06:41.something like this and I'm fortunate enough to do it. Ruins

:06:41. > :06:44.and running around in tandem in the shape of Adam Crump, the commanding

:06:44. > :06:48.officer of Nottingham Sea cadets and then the torch with delivered

:06:48. > :06:51.to Derbyshire. They lined the streets of Bramley Vale to cheer

:06:51. > :06:57.one Jonathan Shelton. Bolsover provided the second cousin of the

:06:57. > :07:02.day in the East Midlands. Michel encourages primary children to take

:07:02. > :07:06.up athletics. This was one inspirational at less than. In Calo

:07:06. > :07:11.they do things differently. Katy Wilson and Adam Gouldson exchanged

:07:11. > :07:17.an Olympic kiss and after a salute, he marched on. Chesterfield saw

:07:17. > :07:21.some of the biggest crowds of the day. In Matlock, Dominic Cunningham

:07:21. > :07:26.was flipping overjoyed the torch had come to town. That was amazing.

:07:26. > :07:32.The atmosphere was brilliant. I can't get over it, I want to do it

:07:32. > :07:37.again. His wish came true. He took the torch to new heights. The

:07:37. > :07:43.Heights of Abraham, high over the Derwent Valley. The reception party

:07:43. > :07:49.was Bonsal Primary. The torch's stately progress continued through

:07:49. > :07:54.the grounds of Chatsworth House. Bakewell was bursting at the seams

:07:54. > :07:59.and to welcome the torch. This was one Mac torturous route through

:07:59. > :08:07.great swathes of the East Midlands to get to Derby. But what a day for

:08:07. > :08:11.Derbyshire. You are now watching live pictures

:08:11. > :08:18.from our helicopter. That is the case for taking place. Did you have

:08:18. > :08:24.to do with the keys with yours? it was the proud this case I have

:08:25. > :08:29.ever done. You can watch people taking pictures from roofs of

:08:29. > :08:35.buildings so it is really getting an effect on the whole nation.

:08:35. > :08:39.are an athlete. He performed at how many Olympic Games? Four. You are

:08:39. > :08:45.used to running in front of crowds, hearing the applause. Was that

:08:45. > :08:51.different carrying the torch amongst the people? Yes, by far

:08:51. > :08:57.because it is about the emotion of the sport. You think about how you

:08:57. > :09:00.and why you are carrying the torch. It is a truly wonderful feeling. An

:09:00. > :09:06.experience that I wish everyone could have. Lots of people have

:09:06. > :09:15.been screaming your name. Somebody else is in the crowd, your namesake,

:09:15. > :09:22.Colin. It is just brilliant down here. The crowd are thoroughly

:09:22. > :09:29.enjoying themselves. Incredible excitement. Gay men -'s job has

:09:29. > :09:35.been to get everyone excited about this. We have set out to inspire a

:09:35. > :09:40.generation and we have succeeded. Your job now is to turn this into a

:09:40. > :09:45.lasting legacy. Definitely. We have laid a good foundation but the

:09:45. > :09:49.autumn will be crucial. When the Olympics and Paralympics are in

:09:49. > :09:53.children's heads and hearts and we have to capitalise than. The torch

:09:53. > :10:01.has done astonishing things for that. The torch has been a

:10:01. > :10:07.brilliant. I was in Matlock earlier today, a young gymnasts came in,

:10:07. > :10:14.did a flare up and we all went mad. It will be really wonderful tonight.

:10:14. > :10:19.Thank you. The crowd are loving it down here. I am not surprised. The

:10:19. > :10:23.flame is in Derby market place and it from not be a very long before

:10:23. > :10:27.it arrives here at Darley Park and head its way right the way through

:10:27. > :10:34.the crowd. The people all waiting to see the cauldron actually been

:10:34. > :10:40.lit. That is its journey it will take their and it is going a long

:10:40. > :10:43.second battalion Mercians. They are back from a tour of Afghanistan.

:10:43. > :10:48.Very exciting moment for them because it takes a bit of courage

:10:48. > :10:53.for them to be there. They know the whole world is watching this. These

:10:53. > :10:59.pictures do not just stay in the UK. I was in the States and watching

:10:59. > :11:05.recently the torch being followed by people in America. This is what

:11:05. > :11:08.is happening, it is happening -- having an effect globally.

:11:08. > :11:14.Incredible. Darley Park, you are tonight international. We have been

:11:14. > :11:19.talking about torch-bearers, we have seen so many of their

:11:19. > :11:23.magnificent stories and this next one is just the same.

:11:23. > :11:29.It has been a long road to recovery for Clary. She was overjoyed when

:11:29. > :11:35.she was told she would be carrying the torch. I do not know what you

:11:35. > :11:39.say when someone says, I had nominated due for the torch. Then

:11:39. > :11:44.queue does not seem enough. Chloe was 19 when she lost her leg in a

:11:44. > :11:49.hit and run crash in Nottingham. But she is not resentful or bitter.

:11:49. > :11:55.She seemed so positive. You have to accept that in life it is not all

:11:55. > :12:00.happiness. It has been two-and-a- half years and 25 operations, but

:12:00. > :12:05.she is still studying fashion at Nottingham Trent University. I have

:12:05. > :12:09.come through so much to get to work -- where I want to get to and it is

:12:09. > :12:17.nice that someone has noticed. her, carrying the flame symbolises

:12:17. > :12:23.so much. I had this great thing to do. It is something to aim for in

:12:23. > :12:28.your life. I will cherish the memory for ever. Admiring Chloe

:12:28. > :12:32.carrying the ultimate fashion accessory, her mum and sister.

:12:32. > :12:38.is going to do so well with her life because she is so positive. It

:12:38. > :12:44.is amazing. Really proud of her. She is my hero. What thoughts went

:12:44. > :12:49.through your mind? That I cannot believe I am doing it. It is the

:12:49. > :12:57.main thought. It is finally here. Does it put to accident in the

:12:57. > :13:01.background? Yes, it is just a vague them -- memory.

:13:01. > :13:10.And lovely clary is with me now. Were you as happy as you looked

:13:10. > :13:14.then? Yes. Sell me how you found out. You were asked to go and see

:13:14. > :13:19.your university chancellor and you thought the worst. I was like, oh

:13:19. > :13:28.my gosh. Thinking what abide done now? I have been called into the

:13:28. > :13:33.office, it is the worst thing that could be happening. He asked you if

:13:33. > :13:38.you would carry the torch. You are an inspiration. What is amazing is

:13:38. > :13:43.what you have done for people who do have disabilities. It inspired

:13:43. > :13:49.you with your future career. It has definitely. What will you do? A

:13:49. > :13:53.clothing line? I am setting up a company for fashionable disable

:13:53. > :14:01.clothing and I think fashionable should be accessible to all kinds

:14:01. > :14:09.of people. We are moving in that direction. You have a top tip. For

:14:09. > :14:14.next season? May be something in gold? Thank you and congratulations.

:14:14. > :14:20.Let's go back up to Simon in the sky somewhere above us.

:14:20. > :14:24.The torch is now reaching the top of all street. Is when past the

:14:24. > :14:28.Statue of Bonnie Prince Charlie, he famously turned round when he got

:14:28. > :14:32.to Derby but the torch is continuing. It is heading towards

:14:32. > :14:36.you at Darley Park. The crowds in the marketplace and around the

:14:36. > :14:43.council house were amazing, reminiscent of 40 years ago when

:14:43. > :14:51.Brian Clough and the team paraded their trophy 35 years ago. It is

:14:51. > :14:55.now in Queen St, so it is really towards Duffield rode, so it will

:14:55. > :15:00.be on the final leg towards you at Darley Park.

:15:00. > :15:04.That is amazing. We are all looking forward to it. That torch obviously

:15:04. > :15:09.arriving here at the park but I have a very special guest with me.

:15:09. > :15:14.He had a big smile on your face. haven't stopped smiling all day.

:15:14. > :15:18.Such a good day. Everybody needs to know, how do you find out that

:15:19. > :15:22.you've got that magical moment a head? I got selected through my

:15:22. > :15:29.university because I won the British Championships twice for

:15:29. > :15:34.them. The Vice Chancellor called me into his office and asked me. It

:15:34. > :15:39.was all the way back in December. You are a very talented table

:15:39. > :15:44.tennis player. You are ranked number four in England. The

:15:44. > :15:50.Commonwealth Games must be the goal for you now. Yes, looking forward

:15:50. > :15:58.to that. I am very pleased and proud. I certainly know what the

:15:58. > :16:06.experiences are in carrying that torch. She is very jealous we are

:16:06. > :16:14.both torch-bearers. I am feeling a bit left out. You can hold it.

:16:14. > :16:20.a great? Of the best thing ever. Thank you. The torch goes all

:16:20. > :16:23.abound but occasionally it has a bit of a stayer over somewhere and

:16:23. > :16:33.they raised one score in Matlock that was able to keep the torch for

:16:33. > :16:39.

:16:39. > :16:42.The whole school turned out on the playing field for a festival of

:16:42. > :16:45.celebrations with a sporting feel. There were races - of course - of a

:16:45. > :16:48.conventional nature but the sack race - well, I don't THINK it's

:16:48. > :16:54.currently an Olympic sport! The band played their Olympic anthem

:16:54. > :16:59.and dancers danced. It is a very special day. The torch all be here

:16:59. > :17:03.later, so I am sure everybody is absolutely excited about that.

:17:03. > :17:06.there was also a chance to hear from a real life Olympian - Casey

:17:06. > :17:14.Stoney will play for Team GB women's football team. It is very

:17:14. > :17:17.cool that we get to meet her. It is amazing. Very exciting. At one

:17:17. > :17:21.point the rain fell but that didn't dent the enthusiasm of the six form

:17:21. > :17:27.organisers. We are privileged enough to have the Olympic torch

:17:27. > :17:31.coming here, so we thought it would be a great way to kick-start that.

:17:31. > :17:37.Everybody realises how privileged we are commanded us a everybody in

:17:37. > :17:40.the Olympic spirit. Everybody is so enthusiastic about it. But of

:17:40. > :17:44.course the high point was waiting for the torch to arrive so the

:17:44. > :17:47.flame could be handed on for a trip on the heights of Abraham cable car.

:17:47. > :17:50.And the big moment - Dominic Cunningham, top gymnast for team GB,

:17:50. > :18:00.transporting the torch and himself in suitable style for the flame to

:18:00. > :18:02.

:18:02. > :18:07.be handed on TWICE from here for its onward journey.

:18:07. > :18:14.I do not ever get tired of saying that flame and that torch. I

:18:14. > :18:21.thought I would, but I don't. never get tired of it. The flame

:18:21. > :18:27.and torture itself has become a national emblem. Every time I take

:18:27. > :18:32.school visits, I always take the torch with me. People get so

:18:32. > :18:39.excited. They see it and feel part of the Olympic Games. Talking about

:18:39. > :18:49.the games, you were part of the Olympic bed. Did you don't believe

:18:49. > :18:49.

:18:49. > :18:54.we would get it? In 2005, when we sat in a final decisions room, we

:18:54. > :19:00.hoped that we could get it. We were never sure. A lot of the press and

:19:00. > :19:03.media always stating it would be in Paris. But we hoped and had this

:19:03. > :19:08.massive desire that we could pull it off. And when they announced

:19:08. > :19:15.London, it was special! And this is the reason why everybody is here

:19:15. > :19:20.today. It is the reason. People have taken up to their hearts.

:19:20. > :19:27.they have loved every single moment of it. I feel proud I was part of a

:19:27. > :19:36.bid team to create this amazing atmosphere across the whole country.

:19:36. > :19:41.In the middle of this atmosphere, is Colin.

:19:41. > :19:47.Lots of people are learning what it is like to be torch bearers. Not

:19:47. > :19:56.many people get to do both - a Olympians and torch bearers. Me the

:19:56. > :20:01.youngest person to go with Team GB in 2010. You have seen the

:20:01. > :20:08.experience today. What is it like? Are the atmosphere has been amazing.

:20:08. > :20:12.I am so excited. It is quite amazing for me to look at someone

:20:12. > :20:17.who has been to an Olympics, getting excited about carrying the

:20:17. > :20:23.torch. It is fantastic. The Olympics was an amazing experience

:20:23. > :20:29.for me in 2010, but to be carrying the torch in England is a very

:20:30. > :20:39.exciting was stub you are looking forward to starting in 2014?

:20:40. > :20:45.

:20:45. > :20:55.Absolutely. I will bring back the Let us hope she does! Yes, and you

:20:55. > :21:01.can see true and genuine enthusiasm. You have to have that desire and

:21:01. > :21:06.believe. Absolutely. You really need to have that single-minded and

:21:06. > :21:12.pure focus if you will dedicate your whole life to winning a title.

:21:12. > :21:18.If you are thinking of doing that, it is well worth doing! We have

:21:18. > :21:28.been talking about torch bearers. So many people have such incredible

:21:28. > :21:28.

:21:28. > :21:31.stories to tell. Tales of going against the odds.

:21:31. > :21:34.His work with the Nottingham Sea Cadets has earned Adam Crump this

:21:34. > :21:37.honour. For two decades, he's been teaching and fund-raising for young

:21:37. > :21:47.cadets. Some of them ran with him all the way today but it wasn't

:21:47. > :21:49.

:21:49. > :21:55.plain sailing. This is Peak And in Glapwell village it was a

:21:55. > :21:58.full turnout. Like a fish to water, Imogen Clark feels most at home

:21:59. > :22:04.when swimming. She overcame severe exthma and asthma, which meant she

:22:04. > :22:14.spent years in intensive care. But today she swapped the swimming pool

:22:14. > :22:16.

:22:16. > :22:18.for dry land in Buxton. Most of my friends are coming to watch me.

:22:18. > :22:28.She's only 13 but already she's beaten a record Rebecca Adlington

:22:28. > :22:29.

:22:29. > :22:34.set at the same age. Life's what you make it - that's Kya's motto

:22:34. > :22:38.and she should know. Being brought through the care system, I know it

:22:38. > :22:42.is hard and you do not always get what you want and need. But with me,

:22:42. > :22:45.I knew I wanted to help other people. And that's what she's been

:22:45. > :22:53.doing, campaigning to help other children in care. But today is her

:22:53. > :23:02.big day. To be bringing it into the city, and to be the first one to

:23:02. > :23:07.pass it on to the next person is amazing.

:23:07. > :23:17.From one extraordinary youngster to the parents of an extraordinary

:23:17. > :23:18.

:23:18. > :23:23.swimmers. It is delightful to have you. I must admit, I was on Twitter

:23:23. > :23:32.a little earlier, and I saw Rebecca had tweeted the fact she picked up

:23:32. > :23:36.her kit today. Did you see the one with the sunglasses on? Yes.

:23:36. > :23:42.she had her headband on as well! think it was probably one of those

:23:42. > :23:51.things. She was so keen to play down mentally, all of a sudden, she

:23:52. > :23:59.picked circuit up and has gone, nobody is! How important is it to

:23:59. > :24:02.pick a picket? It is one of these things as well, it is a time to

:24:02. > :24:10.share that experience with your family. You want to bring your kit

:24:10. > :24:18.home and say, have a look at this! We must admit, we do get some stuff

:24:18. > :24:23.away! Let us hope she does not ask us to watch it for her! There are

:24:23. > :24:30.70 kilos! You are going down to watch us wimple stub we are. What

:24:30. > :24:37.they argue down there? For her event. I guess, the pressure must

:24:37. > :24:40.be on. She wants to repeat that double when she made in Beijing.

:24:40. > :24:45.Hopefully, she can enjoy it these games because she has already got

:24:45. > :24:50.medals, and she can sit back and relax and enjoy everything. That is

:24:50. > :25:00.a very nice way of looking at it. I always assumed to the pressure

:25:00. > :25:07.would be doubled. She is very focused. It is a once-in-a-lifetime

:25:07. > :25:10.thing. When she gets it there, it is a four years on from last time,

:25:10. > :25:16.we know the slate is wiped clean and it is what you do wonder day.

:25:17. > :25:21.But just to take part in the home Olympics will be incredibly special.

:25:21. > :25:29.We have just heard the flame is on Duffield rode. You were special

:25:29. > :25:38.guest of honour yesterday? Yes, we got rather wet! Still a fantastic

:25:38. > :25:44.time. He also went down to Team GB headquarters at the stadium? Yes.

:25:44. > :25:49.That will be the place for all the friends and families to meet the

:25:49. > :25:53.Olympians. And to socialise without any extra hassle. There is no

:25:53. > :25:58.prayers aloud in there was dubbed it is just a place of calm? That is

:25:58. > :26:04.right. There are photos of all the athletes on the wall, even when

:26:04. > :26:10.they we youngsters. You heard Colin there, but it is for the families.

:26:10. > :26:15.He said earlier he would be spending a lot of time in the

:26:15. > :26:22.swimming pool. We will throw him out if we see him! I am a nice boy,

:26:22. > :26:30.really! Has relied change to, now that you really do have an

:26:30. > :26:37.international superstar as a daughter? Not really, no. We still

:26:37. > :26:42.go to work, still do the shopping and washing. Bheki's life has

:26:42. > :26:47.changed. I guess the only way our lives have changed is that more

:26:47. > :26:54.people come up to last, particularly now, and parked on

:26:54. > :26:59.goodwill messages of support. our laughter Becky. Enjoy the rest

:26:59. > :27:03.of the evening. We mentioned at those pictures on Twitter of

:27:03. > :27:08.Rebecca, and we asked you to send pictures of you following the flame.

:27:08. > :27:18.And you have done. They have been sent 10 in their hundreds. They are

:27:18. > :27:18.

:27:18. > :28:21.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 62 seconds

:28:21. > :28:26.The torch is very newly-wed the cars. There it is. There at the

:28:26. > :28:33.live pictures are from our helicopter. You run it really

:28:33. > :28:38.enjoying every moment of it. And who can blame him? We keep using

:28:38. > :28:43.the word is special, but it is. When you are running the torch, you

:28:43. > :28:51.think to yourself while! I have arrived here and I really feel part

:28:51. > :28:56.of the Olympics. There are 1,000 torches, 8,000 miles will be

:28:56. > :29:03.covered, and 8,000 memories. Looking behind me, I think there

:29:03. > :29:12.will be more than 1,000 memories. We must have 20,000 people down

:29:12. > :29:19.there. Let us join Colin. It must be at least that. If you noticed

:29:19. > :29:26.the Union Jack nails earlier, they were pretty special. Why have you

:29:26. > :29:35.come down here? It is a once-in-a- lifetime chance. Amazing atmosphere.

:29:35. > :29:42.It has been pretty good. Let us move go along the crowd at a little

:29:42. > :29:49.bet. Just it down here, we can see a few more people waving their

:29:49. > :29:58.flags. Why have you come down here? Such a good atmosphere. Love it!

:29:58. > :30:07.There has been brilliant. One more person. Just here. I you're looking

:30:07. > :30:16.for to sing the torch? Yes. It is history. Absolutely right. The

:30:16. > :30:24.torch is very close. Not far away now.

:30:24. > :30:29.It is very close indeed. This flame, it is more than a normal flame. It

:30:29. > :30:33.comes all the way from Greece, and Greeks believe it has a divine

:30:33. > :30:43.connotations because it was stolen from the gods. It symbolises so

:30:43. > :30:43.

:30:43. > :30:48.much. Yes, it brings the whole engagement of people. What it

:30:48. > :30:54.stands for, and every time you see it as an athlete, burning in the

:30:54. > :30:58.stadium, it always reminds you why you are here. It is those very

:30:58. > :31:07.individual thoughts that go along with the process. The flame first

:31:07. > :31:11.made his way into the modern Olympics in 1928, and the Olympic

:31:11. > :31:18.creed was the devised. It says the most important thing is not to win,

:31:18. > :31:23.but to take part. Just as in life, the triumph is not the important

:31:23. > :31:30.thing but the struggle. Every single one of the torch bearers

:31:30. > :31:33.have those stories, and that is the beauty of it. Everybody will agree

:31:33. > :31:38.with this statement. You think how many years ago the modern-day

:31:38. > :31:48.Olympic Games started, and those words still have residents a --

:31:48. > :31:58.resonance today. Because we will wait until that flame arrives it,

:31:58. > :31:58.

:31:58. > :32:05.then we will join flame Britain a little later run. The whole

:32:05. > :32:11.entourage, as he was saying earlier, is very exciting. Absolutely. You

:32:11. > :32:17.can see many different coaches there, with dancers on, to enthuse

:32:17. > :32:24.people in the audience. As those buses get closer, you start to get

:32:24. > :32:33.a little bit more nervous. This is the time when you are thinking, my

:32:33. > :32:41.time is nigh! And the fantastic thing... There appears! The torch

:32:41. > :32:47.case. I can turn you now the person who will carry that torch end

:32:47. > :32:56.through the park and like the cauldron is James. He is a former

:32:56. > :33:04.English motorcycle racer. He is the World Super bike racer. You know

:33:04. > :33:09.you, don't you? Yes. I had done many programmes with him. Full of

:33:09. > :33:14.energy. For him to have this honour of bringing the torch into the

:33:14. > :33:20.stadium and into the party itself is amazing. The noise that is being

:33:20. > :33:24.created behind us is sensational. There is a tingle. There his

:33:25. > :33:31.enthusiasm here. I really hope that all these people will be glued to

:33:31. > :33:36.the TV and support every single athlete here. Look at everybody's

:33:36. > :33:43.faces a stop they are enthralled by everything. I think everyone will

:33:43. > :33:46.be watching the Olympics, remembering tonight. And that is

:33:46. > :33:53.what will be interesting - they will recognise some of the faces

:33:53. > :33:58.and say we supported them and we were part of the Olympic Games. I

:33:58. > :34:08.am getting more excited! Just over there, that is where it will be

:34:08. > :34:13.

:34:14. > :34:23.coming in. Quite a nice runway. think there will be approaching.

:34:24. > :34:49.

:34:49. > :34:59.The code is arrive at first, don't The crowd a little bit more subdued.

:34:59. > :34:59.

:34:59. > :35:47.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 62 seconds

:35:47. > :35:52.goes out with Katie Mellor were now. I think they are engaged. He is

:35:53. > :36:02.worming his way all the way through. You can see just the top of the

:36:03. > :36:03.

:36:03. > :36:12.flame there. You think, I do not on the flame to go out. But going

:36:12. > :36:22.round the corner, very shortly. And there he is. And there is that

:36:22. > :36:32.flame. And there are thousands of people here in Derby. This is

:36:32. > :36:32.

:36:32. > :37:17.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 62 seconds

:37:17. > :37:24.And here we go. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. It Let us welcome Colin. Hello,

:37:24. > :37:34.everyone! It needs to be bigger than that, because you are live on

:37:34. > :37:42.BBC one. Big chair! Big applause for everybody being alive. I was

:37:42. > :37:52.awestruck by that. I am very proud to be Derby at this moment in time.

:37:52. > :37:53.

:37:53. > :37:56.Of course, the flame or stay here in Derby tonight. We will be

:37:56. > :38:00.looking after it entered the steps of tomorrow.

:38:00. > :38:03.What a day it's been for all of us all the thousands of people who've

:38:03. > :38:06.lined the streets and roads to follow the flame. Tomorrow it
