:00:00. > :00:00.seen some brilliant dives. And we have also seen some drops. The door

:00:07. > :00:00.is still wide open for Tom. Let's check in and see what is happening

:00:07. > :00:16.at the golf. Some of the top players in the world

:00:17. > :00:22.are really feeling the heat, Charley Hull has just dropped a shot to go

:00:23. > :00:26.to seven under, within one shot of the bronze medal position, she was

:00:27. > :00:31.at one point tied for that position with four other players but a bogey

:00:32. > :00:38.means she is now just outside the metal. The world number one Lydia

:00:39. > :00:43.Ko, the 19-year-old, also feeling the pressure, she has dropped a

:00:44. > :00:49.shot, this tee shot found the rough, and it ended up with a bogey. She is

:00:50. > :00:56.an eight under par, tied with the American Gerina Pilar. If it ends up

:00:57. > :01:02.going to a play-off, perhaps Charley Hull will be in it, if she can pick

:01:03. > :01:06.up more birdies on the back nine. They then go back and play the 18th

:01:07. > :01:15.over and over until there is a winner.

:01:16. > :01:27.We have the chasing pack all going for the bronze on eight under and

:01:28. > :01:33.Charley Hull is on seven under, so she's still in contention. Right,

:01:34. > :01:44.now around four of the diving. You rejoin us with the Mexican, Ivan

:01:45. > :01:46.Garcia, who has high tariff dives throughout his programme. Only 3.4.

:01:47. > :02:15.Only! Reverse 3.5 somersaults. World, Ivan Garcia had a bit of... A

:02:16. > :02:20.mixed bag of dives in the preliminaries, but he is rocking and

:02:21. > :02:25.rolling in this semifinal. It is a very good take-off. He spins so, so

:02:26. > :02:31.quickly and just about manages to stop the dive from over rotating. He

:02:32. > :02:38.will come away with a huge score again and he will be right up there,

:02:39. > :02:44.with Qiu Bo, and Boudia and Tom Daley wavering. Absolutely. The big

:02:45. > :02:50.dive comes in the next round, too. We move on to Vincent Riendeau, who

:02:51. > :03:05.was also in the top 12 at the moment.

:03:06. > :03:17.Very nice from Riendeau, opting to use his dives, not playing his safe.

:03:18. > :03:23.This is what happens. When you play safe and the big guns are faltering,

:03:24. > :03:27.you can be right up there. So at the moment our 19-year-old from Canada

:03:28. > :03:32.is in qualification spot. And looking pretty good right now.

:03:33. > :03:39.Canada only going to get one into the final, if they can, and he could

:03:40. > :03:47.be the man. 84.15, good stuff from Vincent Riendeau. He is ready for

:03:48. > :03:59.his arm stand, the Brazilian. He's 16th at the moment.

:04:00. > :04:08.He has some work to do but he has the crowd behind him. And after an

:04:09. > :04:11.excellent performance in his fourth Olympic Games last night, here he is

:04:12. > :04:28.hanging on in this semifinal. Good take-off. Neat and tidy. Clean

:04:29. > :04:41.entry into the water. And the marks will reflect that as well. 78.40.

:04:42. > :04:45.Only three point -- three .2 degrees of difficulty. Now, a big dive from

:04:46. > :04:59.German Sanchez. It is a fraction short or quite

:05:00. > :05:08.short of vertical. We have seen some others will really falter on this

:05:09. > :05:14.dive. All he needed to do was wait in his position to get the vertical

:05:15. > :05:20.entry but he panics a little bit. He doesn't get it around quite far

:05:21. > :05:27.enough. Big tariff dives, though, so there will be a lot of marks

:05:28. > :05:32.attached to it. It is in the 70s for Sanchez, for the Mexican. Now onto

:05:33. > :05:49.Woo Haram. Well, Woo Haram has done a good

:05:50. > :05:53.enough job on that dive. Maybe he will hypnotise the judges because he

:05:54. > :05:58.does have a huge banana style back arch as he goes into the water but

:05:59. > :06:03.because of that, he manages to save it and pull the diving with hardly

:06:04. > :06:07.any splash. Because of that splash this entry and because he snuck the

:06:08. > :06:12.entry in, he could get away with some good marks here. Because of the

:06:13. > :06:19.degree of difficulty, he ends up with 81! Well done. 81 because of

:06:20. > :06:28.the 3.6. That has given him a little bit of a lift. Now, here comes

:06:29. > :06:32.Quintero. I mentioned, the he was 31st at the worlds last year and

:06:33. > :06:41.when it came to the test event, the World Cup here, he was six. Well, it

:06:42. > :06:47.is a game of tactics well played. This is a lower degree of

:06:48. > :06:52.difficulty. Only 3.2. Very easy. Easy compared to some of the other

:06:53. > :07:00.choices you can make. It is a game of tactics well played for Rafael

:07:01. > :07:12.Quintero. He might get 8.5s on this. Maybe even nines. So, from our only

:07:13. > :07:16.Puerto Rican competitor in the diving, he will safely make it

:07:17. > :07:17.through to the final. Yes, based in America, and doing him a lot of

:07:18. > :07:35.good. The Australian, James Connor, going

:07:36. > :07:38.for this version of the arm stand. This is the arm stand back double

:07:39. > :07:58.somersault 1.5 twists. Well, that is a real shame. This is

:07:59. > :08:05.his lowest degree of difficulty. And just not getting after that dive. He

:08:06. > :08:10.falls off the diving board. He needs a much stronger flick with the legs

:08:11. > :08:13.and pop-up. If you go after it too much, you end up flying over so it

:08:14. > :08:24.is a fine line about giving it too much and not enough. And that was

:08:25. > :08:32.not enough. He is short. That will probably mean he will move outside

:08:33. > :08:38.the top 12, depending, of course. The sun was shining directly in the

:08:39. > :08:40.eyes of the divers around the board, but it has moved around, and it

:08:41. > :09:04.isn't as visible now as it was. Even Minibaev making a little bit of

:09:05. > :09:09.a mess up on that dive. Drifting too far away from the diving board.

:09:10. > :09:15.Normally he is very solid on this. He caused himself all sorts of

:09:16. > :09:21.difficulty, unable to control it before he goes in. Splash thrown up.

:09:22. > :09:26.It was a great dive for him in the preliminaries, helping him to get

:09:27. > :09:33.through. He will be nowhere near his score now. Look. He's fine, though.

:09:34. > :09:42.He will slip down a peg or two, maybe even more than that with two

:09:43. > :09:51.more rounds to come. We move on to Sascha Klein. He's eighth.

:09:52. > :09:58.He will be even more comfortable with that. That is his equal highest

:09:59. > :10:07.degree of difficulty with another dive with 3.6 to come. He's holding

:10:08. > :10:11.his composure, following his process, ignoring the Battle of the

:10:12. > :10:15.divers around him, just concentrating on each dive as it

:10:16. > :10:20.comes. That is all you can do. That is the same as all the athletes

:10:21. > :10:26.should be doing. Tom Daley included. Nothing you can do about the first

:10:27. > :10:30.three. The only thing you can do is concentrate on your dives. He

:10:31. > :10:40.flicked a switch in round three to get going. The other German now,

:10:41. > :10:48.Martin Wolfram, going straight off the back of his team-mate.

:10:49. > :10:54.The two Germans looking like they will both progress. Even Wolfram

:10:55. > :11:02.marginally short of vertical so not as good as his team-mate. The

:11:03. > :11:08.take-off is good enough. This dive doesn't take as long for him as some

:11:09. > :11:13.of the taller competitors, but he is a little low on the water and

:11:14. > :11:20.doesn't get the vertical entry. So he'll still be OK, though, I think.

:11:21. > :11:30.How much damage the? 72.80 is the final mark for Wolfram in round four

:11:31. > :11:32.and he's OK. He's a couple of places below Klein. The 21-year-old

:11:33. > :11:50.Frenchman, Benjamin Auffret. Wow! Classy dive. 3.3 degrees of

:11:51. > :11:59.difficulty, and that is worth 9.5s. That entry is the nominal. --

:12:00. > :12:03.phenomenal. Spinning quickly and he buries the finish. Look at that,

:12:04. > :12:21.there's not enough splash to fill half a teacup. A cup? -- egg cup?

:12:22. > :12:25.Yes. He has been very impressive so far. One of the highest marks we've

:12:26. > :12:36.seen of the day. There was a couple of in the 90s but that was right up

:12:37. > :12:40.there. Now David Boudia. Well, Boudia not managing to get himself

:12:41. > :12:46.out of the hole he's in. Not in as much danger as Tom Daley. But David

:12:47. > :12:50.Boudia isn't up there in the business end of the field, as we'd

:12:51. > :12:54.expect to see him. And this isn't going to help him a great deal. He

:12:55. > :13:00.won't even get sevens on this because he doesn't quite get the

:13:01. > :13:10.dive in. There is. It's done. Those are your scores, next one. Two

:13:11. > :13:15.sevens and a 6.5 for the American. He is seventh at the moment with

:13:16. > :13:20.another three to go will so he will be in the top 12 for the flood. This

:13:21. > :13:26.man has had absolutely no problems whatsoever from dive wanted dive

:13:27. > :13:31.three. 91, 91, 88 so far for Chen Aisen, who has been absolutely

:13:32. > :13:37.exemplary throughout 2016 and the World Series. And he continues in

:13:38. > :13:45.that vein. There is no trouble at all for this man. 20 years old. When

:13:46. > :13:52.he's diving at his best, he looks almost unbeatable. And this isn't

:13:53. > :13:56.far away from his best. That is another huge dive. This will be his

:13:57. > :14:02.highest scoring dive. How was it possible to get your forehead on

:14:03. > :14:08.your ankles? Anatomically, I'm totally befuddled. You do yoga, you

:14:09. > :14:11.should know these things! And I do, it is incredibly difficult, that

:14:12. > :14:21.incredible flexibility. So, Chen Aisen with a 97.

:14:22. > :14:37.Now, Qiu Bo. A little undercooked today.

:14:38. > :14:47.Yes, it does! He's made of tough, resilient stuff. Qiu Bo with his

:14:48. > :14:52.strapped right foot. He gets into this dive, just that trademark spin

:14:53. > :14:56.speed is incredible for a pike position. This will get close to 100

:14:57. > :15:01.points. It is even better than Chen Aisen's. He needed it because he was

:15:02. > :15:06.a little bit off the pace. Just letting everyone know he's still

:15:07. > :15:12.around. Vincent Riendeau our first three figure score of the semifinals

:15:13. > :15:17.for Qiu Bo. Now, the European champion has some work to do. There

:15:18. > :15:22.is still time in which to do it, but he needs to start here because he is

:15:23. > :15:31.18th, is Tom Daley. If you've just joined us, you won't believe that.

:15:32. > :15:42.It is better. He scored 103 in the prelims. This is not as good but it

:15:43. > :15:48.is an improvement, and that is what we want to see. Pops up, into his

:15:49. > :15:52.spin, just leaving it fractionally short of a vertical and does not

:15:53. > :16:00.quite straighten out so the judges will not go more than 7.5, but it is

:16:01. > :16:09.OK, gets him 81, it will be helpful, but he is still at the bottom of the

:16:10. > :16:13.pack with some comebacks to do. Here is how things are stand at the end

:16:14. > :16:26.of the round, we know where Tom is, the important wing is how much

:16:27. > :16:36.ground he has to make up. 12-18 is the important thing from his point

:16:37. > :16:42.of view. 293 down to 261. That is a lot, it is over 30 points for him to

:16:43. > :16:43.make up to get into the top 12. It is achievable but it will take some

:16:44. > :16:51.doing. That was better, but will it be good

:16:52. > :16:52.enough, because the others have stepped

:16:53. > :17:13.It was decent, but he is hesitant, he looks nervous. Under these dives

:17:14. > :17:20.yesterday he got straight tens. He is still within a shout. He has gone

:17:21. > :17:25.from 40 points behind to 32 points behind qualification. And he has the

:17:26. > :17:28.easier dives to finish on. So I still think he is in position to

:17:29. > :17:33.sneak into the final. You were in this position and had to fight your

:17:34. > :17:40.way into your final, if you were in this position, what would you say to

:17:41. > :17:44.him? It is hard, you make it into such a massive deal. But he only has

:17:45. > :17:49.to defeat six people and if you look at the list he can do, he showed

:17:50. > :17:55.yesterday the talent he is, so he just must bring calm, focused. It is

:17:56. > :18:00.so difficult but he has just got to be focused and do the last couple of

:18:01. > :18:05.dives as well as he can, if he does so he will be fine, and he can fly

:18:06. > :18:11.later. It does not help when the competition pool out a stunning

:18:12. > :18:18.dive. From Qiu Bo, what did you make of this? One of the best I have ever

:18:19. > :18:25.seen. So, fair enough. He takes it to town. That pike she is completely

:18:26. > :18:33.flat. And the way he lets go out three somersaults... Will Tom have

:18:34. > :18:42.watched that? They will have seen that, yes. What I hope is that he

:18:43. > :18:48.will thought, OK, that inspires me. I was hoping he would see it and

:18:49. > :18:56.step up. But he has a good score, 81, it is decent, hopefully he nails

:18:57. > :19:00.his two last dives. 20 of drama. He is still in the fight but it is

:19:01. > :19:10.going to be tough. -- plenty of drama.

:19:11. > :19:21.ORE: He is putting us through the mill. We will be back with Helen in

:19:22. > :19:27.a moment. In the women's triathlon Non Stanford is right in the mix,

:19:28. > :19:32.BBC One, if you want to check on that. Over to the Red Button if you

:19:33. > :19:36.want to see how Charley Hull is getting on in the women's golf. She

:19:37. > :19:42.has gained a couple of shots in the final round and is in the hunt for a

:19:43. > :19:50.medal. There is also tae kwon do to show you. Bianca Walton will go in

:19:51. > :19:56.her category at about 4:30pm. A lovely little demonstration on the

:19:57. > :19:59.Red Button and the apt, if you want to check it out. Women's basketball

:20:00. > :20:05.is reaching the end of the competition. The bronze medal match

:20:06. > :20:13.sees France versus Serbia, if you want to see that, head over to the

:20:14. > :20:17.Red Button, and if wrestling is your thing, and it is definitely his

:20:18. > :20:22.thing, in centre picture, the Americans are enjoying themselves

:20:23. > :20:25.right now. But it is time to go back for the final couple of dives in the

:20:26. > :20:38.Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre. Ivan Garcia with the biggest tariff

:20:39. > :20:45.dive you will see on the ten metres board. 4.1 degree of difficulty,

:20:46. > :20:53.inward for half somersaults. A massive mark if he gets it right. --

:20:54. > :21:03.fauna -- four and a half somersaults. It is so difficult. 4.1

:21:04. > :21:07.degrees. Fingers crossed in the audience. Here is the super slow

:21:08. > :21:12.motion. He just does not quite straighten out in time but it does

:21:13. > :21:16.not matter because Garcia has been rocking it and he is easily in the

:21:17. > :21:21.top six, even with a mistake on that. But because of the huge degree

:21:22. > :21:28.of difficulty, he still gets 80 points. That is what happens when

:21:29. > :21:36.you really push it out and go for broke. And he has. 79.95, Garcia, he

:21:37. > :21:45.is in no danger of going out. Whereas Vincent Riendeau, at the

:21:46. > :21:54.moment, 3.5 somersaults with Tuck, for the Canadian... He was in

:21:55. > :21:59.eighth, much further up than I expected to see this young man. But

:22:00. > :22:05.until this point he has been diving very consistently. This just got

:22:06. > :22:09.away from him ever so slightly. He kicks out and points his toes a

:22:10. > :22:17.little too high. Over he goes, mid-60s, probably. You can just see

:22:18. > :22:25.the over rotation taking place with the toes moving to the right of the

:22:26. > :22:30.screen, the market reflects it. Tom Daley will need a few people to

:22:31. > :22:41.falter and Vincent Riendeau has just dropped about ten, 15 points. Hugo

:22:42. > :22:45.Parisi, the same problem as Tom Daley, he needs to make up a lot of

:22:46. > :22:51.ground at this stage. That is a really good effort. But I think this

:22:52. > :22:58.would be the last time we see him in the competition, there is just too

:22:59. > :23:03.much work to do. He needs nines and tens, which incidentally is what Tom

:23:04. > :23:07.Daley will need on his final two dives, which is capable of, but this

:23:08. > :23:23.man however, he is not capable of those kind of scores. He is just

:23:24. > :23:35.outside making the final. Good hair, is that you, Bob? I knew you would

:23:36. > :23:43.say that. I have been working on it. German Sanchez. Two places outside

:23:44. > :23:47.qualification. 14th, for the other Mexican, who does not do the

:23:48. > :23:54.eye-catching dives. A reverse three and a half for the Mexican who needs

:23:55. > :24:04.marks, and quick. That will certainly help. Just when he needed

:24:05. > :24:09.it the most. A first-class effort. He is watching his team-mate Garcia

:24:10. > :24:13.in the dismiss end of the field. Sanchez is just outside were needs

:24:14. > :24:18.to be, but that will get him right in amongst it. Not at the top of the

:24:19. > :24:28.leaderboard, thoughts sitting into the realms of making the top 12. A

:24:29. > :24:34.big mark for Sanchez and at the moment Mexico are one and two in the

:24:35. > :24:44.early stages of round five. Garcia leading the way, Sanchez in second

:24:45. > :24:49.place. Woo Ha-ram, nowhere near as good as yesterday, but still an

:24:50. > :24:55.11th, although that is still flirting with missing the final.

:24:56. > :25:05.Arms stand, back, three somersaults for Woo Ha-ram. Sneaky, he has done

:25:06. > :25:10.it again. A swingy take-off, making the control of the dive even more

:25:11. > :25:15.challenging. A little bit of a wobble getting into the arms stand,

:25:16. > :25:24.shows a steady balance, then just manages to save the entry again. He

:25:25. > :25:43.is sneaking his way into the final, isn't it? Look at that. 78. 78.75,

:25:44. > :25:46.Woo Ha-ram, nowhere near as good as yesterday, but somehow the officials

:25:47. > :25:51.going with him on everything. A man now improved by 100 points from the

:25:52. > :25:59.World Championships to the test event here in Rio earlier in the

:26:00. > :26:05.year. Rafael Quintero. Another solid dive. He does have a buffer. Even

:26:06. > :26:08.though he ended up short of vertical and his entry and will only come

:26:09. > :26:14.away with sevens, I predict, it means he will still stay in

:26:15. > :26:20.contention for a spot in the final. Which is all he needs to do. It is

:26:21. > :26:28.all that the athletes are looking for here. He got six Place at the

:26:29. > :26:36.World Cup, and is well on his way to that now, 69.30. Now those who have

:26:37. > :26:44.a bit of catching up to make in the last two rounds, the Australian,

:26:45. > :26:53.James Connor, back, three and a half somersaults, we .3, so not a huge

:26:54. > :26:55.tariff dive for the Australian -- three .3. Try to make up ten points

:26:56. > :27:11.if you can. Everybody is making a play for it,

:27:12. > :27:18.including this young man. Down in 15th, he has just pulled one out of

:27:19. > :27:27.the bag. Even 3.3, when you do it that well, it is putting pressure on

:27:28. > :27:45.Tom Daley especially. He does to a little bit over. -- tip. OK, 75.

:27:46. > :27:50.75.9. Viktor Minibaev, the back three and a half, this time in the

:27:51. > :28:00.pike position for the Russian who is in six. Fourth in London four years

:28:01. > :28:10.ago in 2012. He has botched it a little bit. Almost lost his swimming

:28:11. > :28:19.trunks, the waterproofing down his trunks because he was short of

:28:20. > :28:29.vertical as he goes in. -- the water cooling -- pulling down his trunks.

:28:30. > :28:43.I think he has the buffer. 3.6 degree of difficulty. 72 for Viktor

:28:44. > :28:51.Minibaev who goes up into third as things stand. Sascha Klein, for

:28:52. > :29:00.Germany. Two Germans going back-to-back. Reverse three and a

:29:01. > :29:05.half. Just about saving that dive. This is tense stuff here in the

:29:06. > :29:11.semifinal. He just feels himself rotating slowly on the dive so he

:29:12. > :29:21.points his feed directly up to the sky and just about does a Houdini on

:29:22. > :29:31.that dive. Will the judges be sold on it? They are. So he has actually

:29:32. > :29:37.been pretty consistent. There is no doubt he will be back amongst the

:29:38. > :29:42.top 12 later on in the day. His German team-mate, however, not quite

:29:43. > :29:56.so comfortable. 3.6 degree of difficulty. Back, two and a half

:29:57. > :30:08.twists. Martin Wolfram, of Germany. 3.6, it could prove to be decisive.

:30:09. > :30:13.We have seen him shamble this quite a few times but he is on it today,

:30:14. > :30:19.aware that his place is not secure and he needs to pull out the dives.

:30:20. > :30:23.Squeezing into that pike shape, doing his utmost to make the dive

:30:24. > :30:26.all the way around to vertical, which he almost completes, 81, it is

:30:27. > :30:39.still good. So, he's just below Minibaev at this

:30:40. > :30:44.stage. This man has been on point all the way through the

:30:45. > :30:48.preliminaries and in the semifinal so far, the Frenchman, Benjamin

:30:49. > :30:57.Auffret. A little bit of wind as he gets vertical.

:30:58. > :31:10.He is neat and tidy all the way through. Just exhaling as he gets

:31:11. > :31:15.out because he knows he didn't quite get that round far enough. But

:31:16. > :31:21.sneakily keeps all the splashdown, which is quite a skill. He has been

:31:22. > :31:26.consistent enough to still be right up there, no trouble for our young

:31:27. > :31:32.Frenchman who only started diving in 2010. Very impressive. And you

:31:33. > :31:35.wouldn't put it past to be knocking on the door of the top three later

:31:36. > :31:48.today with the consistency has shown. The Olympic champion now.

:31:49. > :31:54.Boudia all over the place as well. Now, unlike Tom Daley, he was up

:31:55. > :31:59.there in the top ten but this won't help him. Normally, you can bank on

:32:00. > :32:03.this one from Boudia, but he could have withdrawn himself from

:32:04. > :32:08.contention. The judges are going to punish him for that. And he will

:32:09. > :32:14.also need the dive of his life to get through in the final round.

:32:15. > :32:18.First two rounds, 86 from David Boudia, so looking like he was in

:32:19. > :32:23.cruise control. Then, suddenly, into the 60s on his next three dives.

:32:24. > :32:27.Could we lose the European champion and Olympic champion in the

:32:28. > :32:30.competition? We can't say it because there's still one more dive for Tom

:32:31. > :32:40.Daley in this round and one more in round six.

:32:41. > :32:55.Oh, my word. Oh, my word! Five out of five for the well oiled machine.

:32:56. > :33:00.Bullet-proof. Full close. -- full plus. This is how he can dive which

:33:01. > :33:10.is why he's unbeaten this year. 100 points pretty much coming his way.

:33:11. > :33:19.He is the man to beat. All of the dives. 91 times two, 80 eight. That

:33:20. > :33:24.is his biggest so far, 99.9, nearly into the three figures. We've only

:33:25. > :33:34.seen one of those that was from man, Qiu Bo. Well, it is an impressive

:33:35. > :33:40.dive. 3.8 degrees of difficulty, so Bob can't even tell you what it's

:33:41. > :33:45.called to get it all in. Even in slow motion, it is doctor-mac wow!

:33:46. > :33:51.Over rotates, manages to keep the splashdown. That 3.8 degrees of

:33:52. > :33:55.difficulty won't count so much for him because he's only going to come

:33:56. > :34:00.with 7.5s on that over rotation so it isn't the best we've seen from

:34:01. > :34:02.Qiu Bo but he is safe, he is through. This man, however, coming

:34:03. > :34:17.up next... He has to dig deep. OK, the reparation job has to start

:34:18. > :34:25.here and it has to start with this. Yesterday, he got tens on this dive.

:34:26. > :34:26.He got one that counted and two .5s. He need something along those lines

:34:27. > :34:42.today. That is going to help a locked. --

:34:43. > :34:48.help a lot. But we are still in the danger zone. Beautiful dive from Tom

:34:49. > :34:54.Daley, responding to the pressure he finds himself under. He needs to get

:34:55. > :35:00.nines and 9.5s, and he will get that and he'll move up the field but

:35:01. > :35:05.he'll still be bottom. So he will need an absolute monster of a last

:35:06. > :35:11.dive. Well, he's moved up three places on the basis of that. 18th up

:35:12. > :35:21.to 15, needs to do likewise in the last round, so all is not lost. Not

:35:22. > :35:27.as good as in the preliminaries but he has given himself a chance. How

:35:28. > :35:40.far is he in the qualification now? The China 12. he has to make up 18

:35:41. > :35:45.points on the last round to make it through to the final later today.

:35:46. > :35:49.We've joked all week we've had everything at the swimming pool, the

:35:50. > :35:53.green pool, the proposal, the drama. This is drama on another scale. Can

:35:54. > :36:02.he make it into the 12th meaning he gets a place in the final? He still

:36:03. > :36:05.can do that. That is brilliant. He's diving three and a half pike back.

:36:06. > :36:11.With a bit of luck, hopefully he'll make it. Where will his head be this

:36:12. > :36:15.point? Earlier in the competition, he wasn't in the right place. He now

:36:16. > :36:20.seems to have put himself in the right place. I was even questioning

:36:21. > :36:24.whether he was in the right place when he was walking up the stairs

:36:25. > :36:28.because he looked angry and I'm sure he's feeling a lot of emotions but

:36:29. > :36:33.he put himself into the right place to get himself down there in nines.

:36:34. > :36:38.And we could probably do with some of the people in the mix to drop a

:36:39. > :36:45.little bit to give him that space. So, it's not just me, you want other

:36:46. > :36:50.people to mark-up as well. So, the sixth and final round of the

:36:51. > :37:00.competition. We're still on telly! Has it going at the golf? Well, you

:37:01. > :37:12.Myers -- might as well hang the gold medal around her neck, Inbee Park.

:37:13. > :37:17.An amazing putt. He has -- she has had an amazing touch all day. So,

:37:18. > :37:22.she just needs to keep her head and keep solid for the rest of her round

:37:23. > :37:30.and the gold will be hers. This is an idea of what the rest of the

:37:31. > :37:37.field needs to do. Harukyo Nomura already in the clubhouse. Stacy

:37:38. > :37:41.Lewis is on nine under and if she can clinch a birdie at the 18th,

:37:42. > :37:48.then she will be up into a silver medal position. Charley Hull needs a

:37:49. > :37:53.strong finish over the last three holes if she's going to be in

:37:54. > :37:59.contention. Thank you. Right, Tom Daley has got

:38:00. > :38:03.a scrap on his hands. Let's rejoin our commentators around six of the

:38:04. > :38:10.semifinal of the men's individual metre platform.

:38:11. > :38:19.Reducing the first dive of round six, final round. That is the second

:38:20. > :38:24.of them. Domonic Bedggood of Australia. He was right on the cusp,

:38:25. > :38:28.12 place after around five and he will have an agonising wait now.

:38:29. > :38:35.They are good marks, though. It might be enough to take over the

:38:36. > :38:42.threshold. Tom Daley, he is looking on. He is analysing the other dives

:38:43. > :38:46.or thinking about his dive. Just be concentrating on his own dive.

:38:47. > :38:55.Nothing he can do about these, he needs to dive for his life. Nikita

:38:56. > :39:04.Shleikher, probably going to be saying goodbye to this Russian here

:39:05. > :39:11.because he's down there. Not enough. Not enough for him to make it

:39:12. > :39:15.through. Landing here, there and everywhere, never getting anything

:39:16. > :39:18.completely right. And never getting anything completely wrong but that

:39:19. > :39:24.won't be good enough. His third-round dive, if I remember, was

:39:25. > :39:30.way off. So, you cannot make huge mistakes and make it through. Or can

:39:31. > :39:36.you? Let's wait and see. Not this man, though. That'll be the end of

:39:37. > :39:37.the competition for the Russian. The coach gives him a consoling pat on

:39:38. > :39:51.the back. Well, he's good enough to make it

:39:52. > :39:55.through. That is all about the place a little bit. His twisting and

:39:56. > :40:02.twisting, which is the nature of the dive. Fingers crossed, again.

:40:03. > :40:07.Fingers crossed and he needed it because he is skew whiff on the

:40:08. > :40:12.bottom. There he goes, flipping into the water. The judges should only

:40:13. > :40:16.give him 6.5s for that. They might be mesmerised by the complexity of

:40:17. > :40:20.the dive and the fact he managed to keep the splashdown. Pretty sure

:40:21. > :40:23.that as a family member cheering him on the. The judges were giddy on

:40:24. > :41:01.that one. The total is 85.5. Gosh, there's a lot involved in this

:41:02. > :41:06.one. That is an area at the end from our Canadian. I don't know how much

:41:07. > :41:10.of a buffer he had in 11th. But he has left that dive as he did in the

:41:11. > :41:16.preliminaries slightly incomplete. So it's back to the old school, 1.5

:41:17. > :41:21.somersaults, 3.5 twists, he looks good but he gets stuck at rotation

:41:22. > :41:27.and drifts into the water assured. He's going to get caned by the

:41:28. > :41:33.judges which might see him out. 19 ahead of Tom Daley, going into the

:41:34. > :41:40.last round. I think that has opened the door. So, 20 points

:41:41. > :42:01.differential. Tom Daley might be edging his way back in.

:42:02. > :42:07.And he finishes with a sterling effort. Just to make it through,

:42:08. > :42:11.this is his fourth Olympic Games, his best ever performance, making it

:42:12. > :42:21.through to the semifinals. Wonderful work. He has thoroughly enjoyed

:42:22. > :42:27.competing at the grand old age 32, it hurts like crazy at any age let

:42:28. > :42:31.alone in your early 30s. Finishing with his best dive but not good

:42:32. > :42:41.enough for the final but wonderful, wonderful from Hugo Parisi. And a

:42:42. > :42:45.standing ovation to go with it. Or some sitting, some standing, but

:42:46. > :42:53.getting a great, rapturous reception here at the Maria Lenk for his

:42:54. > :43:03.performance here. He isn't going to progress further but they've enjoyed

:43:04. > :43:04.his diving. German Sanchez, probably done enough, but he needs to finish

:43:05. > :43:21.it off here. He has got a OK. It's definitely

:43:22. > :43:25.possible but it is a huge degree of difficulty, 3.8, to we're looking at

:43:26. > :43:31.the execution marks from the judges. Two highest, two lowest, and the

:43:32. > :43:38.three that remain are multiplied by 3.8. So I think this will be good

:43:39. > :43:42.enough to see German Sanchez make it through. Both Mexican stifling,

:43:43. > :43:47.upping the game and making it through comfortably two tonight's

:43:48. > :43:57.final. Yes, they are sink repairs. They are not doing like-for-like

:43:58. > :44:03.dives, though. That puts him up to 462, which is the comfort zone. This

:44:04. > :44:10.man, however, cannot do his dive from or you will be out.

:44:11. > :44:18.He has put himself in the danger zone. It is good, it is 3.6, but it

:44:19. > :44:22.needed to be exceptional to ensure his place. He'll be one of those

:44:23. > :44:28.athletes on the poolside now nervously watching the remaining

:44:29. > :44:33.competitors in this competition. What is he going to get on that,

:44:34. > :44:40.sevens? You'll be right up there with Bedggood and Steele Johnson,

:44:41. > :44:46.those boys are in the danger zone. A bit too much splash on entry.

:44:47. > :44:58.Actually, 7.5s will count. It isn't bad. Tom Daley is on 452. He will

:44:59. > :45:06.have to get above the three figure mark to go above Woo. Now Rafael

:45:07. > :45:18.Quintero. What an Olympics he is having. Yes, he is still

:45:19. > :45:23.unfaltering. Many athletes around him are making glaring errors,

:45:24. > :45:28.including European champions, world champions and Olympic champions. Our

:45:29. > :45:33.22-year-old from Puerto Rico is just knocking the men, dive after dive,

:45:34. > :45:43.after dive. Welcome to the Olympic final, my friend. It's so good!

:45:44. > :45:51.81.6, confirmation on your screen, he will be back for more later on

:45:52. > :45:59.today, the Puerto Rico. Based in the USA. Nervous at times for anybody in

:46:00. > :46:03.and around the top 12. This man probably does not have enough in the

:46:04. > :46:11.locker, points wise, to get them now. Reverse three and a half

:46:12. > :46:16.somersaults with tuck, for James Connor. I think it will be goodbye

:46:17. > :46:19.to the Australian unless he does something absolutely exceptional and

:46:20. > :46:22.probably then it still will not be quite enough.

:46:23. > :46:42.It is OK, in fact, it is a great dive, but it is not good enough to

:46:43. > :46:52.make it through to this final. So that is the last we will see of

:46:53. > :46:57.James Connor. His team-mate, Bedggood, is still in the top 12,

:46:58. > :47:04.and has a nervous wait, but James Connor will not be progressing. We

:47:05. > :47:13.will wait and see what the judges say on that. He did his best. But

:47:14. > :47:24.the best was not good enough. 66.3 is what he gets. Viktor Minibaev,

:47:25. > :47:30.already thinking about a place into my's top 12, seventh, and a high

:47:31. > :47:38.tariff dive, but just needs to seal his place. A high place for a lower

:47:39. > :47:45.position for the dive tonight. Back to know have somersaults, to enough

:47:46. > :47:56.twists. -- two and a half somersaults, two and a half twists.

:47:57. > :48:07.This is Viktor Minibaev's effort and it is more than good enough to

:48:08. > :48:22.progress. Here, the marks and he now is one of five that have a queue

:48:23. > :48:29.beside their names. That is five of the 12 places secured. He will be

:48:30. > :48:37.back. Sascha Klein, likely to be there also. Back to now have

:48:38. > :48:42.somersaults, two and a half twists, the German could be a threat

:48:43. > :48:49.tonight. 3.6 degree of difficulty on this. It is not his best effort but

:48:50. > :48:59.it is good enough. Just his second dive was not there, but certainly

:49:00. > :49:03.this one, good diving, high degree of difficulty, consistent, minimal

:49:04. > :49:11.on the mistakes, and he is through to the Olympic final again. Yes,

:49:12. > :49:19.nobody has hit 500 yet, but I am sure that Chen Aisen will, I am

:49:20. > :49:22.certain he will, but that is enough to completely progress into the

:49:23. > :49:30.final. Will he be joined by another German? Martin Wolfram Finishes with

:49:31. > :49:37.his biggest tariff dive at the end. This can go wrong, we have seen it

:49:38. > :49:46.go wrong. Will a second German join him? He has done a good job. That

:49:47. > :49:52.was great for Martin Wolfram, not so good for Tom Daley. It can easily go

:49:53. > :49:58.wrong and that is how I was watching it as well. The take-off is good. He

:49:59. > :50:02.gets into the water OK. He will mathematically be out of reach of

:50:03. > :50:08.Tom Daley now. But there are a few people that Tom Daley can catch.

:50:09. > :50:15.This is going to go right down to the last dive, the last dive. I

:50:16. > :50:24.think for Martin Wolfram that will be good enough. Yes, qualified

:50:25. > :50:32.already, he is through, Benjamin Auffret has already done enough, you

:50:33. > :50:41.would think, now back to and a half somersaults, two and a half twists,

:50:42. > :50:45.3.6, for the Frenchman. Regardless of how much time he spends in the

:50:46. > :50:52.son he is an exciting diver to watch. Great lines when he gets it

:50:53. > :50:56.right. This is probably his weakest effort so far. He is coming back

:50:57. > :51:02.from a pretty severe injury, earlier this year, missing the European

:51:03. > :51:07.Championships, did not quite finish the job there, so an uninspiring

:51:08. > :51:11.finish from Benjamin Auffret, who was right up in the business end of

:51:12. > :51:18.the field, but I think you had enough of a buffer. Yes, easy. It

:51:19. > :51:29.actually lifts him into second as things stand. Eight of the 12 places

:51:30. > :51:33.are now secured. This man has not yet secured his, he is 13th, the

:51:34. > :51:46.defending Olympic champion, could miss out here. It is a superb dive

:51:47. > :51:49.to finish. But it needed to be. A 3.6 degree of difficulty, the same

:51:50. > :51:56.degree of difficulty we will see from Tom Daley but David Boudia had

:51:57. > :52:03.a bit of a lead on him. This will only get 8.5 I think, enough to get

:52:04. > :52:10.ahead of some of the athletes. This is right in the danger zone. This

:52:11. > :52:14.will be a nervous wait for David Boudia to see what Tom Daley comes

:52:15. > :52:20.up with. That score is low by his standards. Safe to say that Tom

:52:21. > :52:23.Daley will need to get three figures, I can see no other way that

:52:24. > :52:30.he will make the final than three figures. 100 plus, like last time,

:52:31. > :52:39.for Tom Daley. Mathematically possible. Chen Aisen, lack, two and

:52:40. > :52:42.a half somersaults, two and a half twists, he has been absolutely

:52:43. > :52:48.sublime today, a masterclass of diving. He completes the masterclass

:52:49. > :52:52.although I still think he has slightly more in the tank. But this

:52:53. > :53:03.will be an absolute monster of a score. Not quite as big as Tom Daley

:53:04. > :53:09.in the prelims. But 550 and more, for Chen Aisen, with many others

:53:10. > :53:17.faltering around him, he will win despite massive margin. Already he

:53:18. > :53:30.is 62 point clear of Garcia in second place now. Qiu Bo, next, can

:53:31. > :53:43.bridge a little bit of that gap. What does Tom need to take out

:53:44. > :53:48.Steele? . He has been a little bit here and there, that is not a top

:53:49. > :53:57.notch effort. From the three-time world champion. But good enough to

:53:58. > :54:06.get through. So Bo is through, going into the top three with that final

:54:07. > :54:23.dive, no mistakes. Tom Daley needs 102 points. This needs to be...

:54:24. > :54:34.Well, it is tense. Actually, it would be level if he gets 101. Tom

:54:35. > :54:44.Daley, it is down to you. Do you have what it takes to get 101 point,

:54:45. > :54:53.to get level With 12th? The biggest dive of your life coming out right

:54:54. > :55:01.now. No, no. That's it. Unbelievable. We did not predict

:55:02. > :55:06.this. That is the biggest turn up, Tom Daley, winning by a country mile

:55:07. > :55:14.yesterday, and today, in the semifinals, not making it through.

:55:15. > :55:21.What an awful day for Tom. I really feel for him. Of course, an Olympic

:55:22. > :55:25.bronze medallist in the sink row, with Dan Goodfellow, nobody can take

:55:26. > :55:32.it away from him, but he will be devastated. To confirm, Tom Daley

:55:33. > :55:40.finishes in 18th place. What a reversal in fortunes. Yesterday, the

:55:41. > :55:47.rest, today, the worst. -- yesterday, the best. It completely

:55:48. > :55:57.turned the competition on its head from yesterday to today. He is not

:55:58. > :56:12.coming back for the final tonight of the ten metres platform. There is

:56:13. > :56:15.confirmation for you. 403.25. That is a ridiculous score compared with

:56:16. > :56:26.what he did yesterday. And pretty much every dive was down, in fact

:56:27. > :56:34.every dive was. We are thinking, OK, Tom has got it together. There he is

:56:35. > :56:39.with his coach, Jane. Well, I think that probably means now, almost for

:56:40. > :56:46.certain, that Tom Daley will carry on... I don't know. She has worked

:56:47. > :56:54.so hard, trained so hard, the hardest working athlete I know, Jane

:56:55. > :57:02.and they have put in 100%, you cannot fault them. Here we go with

:57:03. > :57:13.some of the highlights. Not from our point of view. OK, well... Tom just

:57:14. > :57:21.not able to come up with the goods today. This was his final dive, it

:57:22. > :57:27.needed to be his best ever, and it was far from it. He lost it by

:57:28. > :57:39.putting himself on the too much pressure with all of his other

:57:40. > :57:45.dives. Woo Ha-ram, he knew that that mistake... Well, what do we make of

:57:46. > :57:52.it? Helen, I am sure you are as gobsmacked as we are.

:57:53. > :57:58.Deflated and disappointed. Let's not forget this young man has grown up

:57:59. > :58:01.in front of the nation. He has dealt with some very difficult things in

:58:02. > :58:06.front of the public and yesterday could not have gone better, top of

:58:07. > :58:09.the leaderboard going into the semifinals but unfortunately at the

:58:10. > :58:15.end of the semifinals he finishes 18th, missing a place in the final.

:58:16. > :58:16.A difficult and is appointing day for sports fans all over the

:58:17. > :58:26.country. -- disappointing. We did not see that coming, but we

:58:27. > :58:34.will try to get the reaction of Tom and bring it to you. Nobody more

:58:35. > :58:39.disappointed than Tom Daley himself. The live action continues here on

:58:40. > :58:50.BBC Four. Look at this here, if you don't mind. A little kid who is

:58:51. > :58:53.absolutely spent. Now we will talk about golf. One week ago Justin Rose

:58:54. > :58:59.claimed that the first Olympic gold medal for 112 years, and the same

:59:00. > :59:04.day that Andy Murray took a medal in the arena behind me. What about

:59:05. > :59:09.today? The women's competition been decided for the first time in 116

:59:10. > :59:17.years. Can Charley Hull do what Justin Rose did, she has been in the

:59:18. > :59:22.mix for a medal, how are her chances today?

:59:23. > :59:29.We saw the disappointment for Tom Daley and I am afraid to say it may

:59:30. > :59:32.be the same for Charley Hull. Her chances have faded over the last few

:59:33. > :59:39.holes. She needed a really strong finish. She needs some very special

:59:40. > :59:43.on the 18th, and people at least to get into what is currently a

:59:44. > :59:53.play-off for the bronze medal. The leader, Inbee Park, way ahead of the

:59:54. > :59:57.rest of the field, fifth team and the going into the last few holes.

:59:58. > :00:02.This is Charley Hull's approach on the 18th, it is doing well for her,

:00:03. > :00:09.doing its best, but she will need to hold that if she wants to make up

:00:10. > :00:13.the shots she is currently behind for the bronze medal positions. She

:00:14. > :00:17.needs an eagle at least on the 18th if she is to fight it out for

:00:18. > :00:25.bronze, let's hand over to the commentary team.

:00:26. > :00:39.Charley Hull is home with two, no surprise with her power. We are back

:00:40. > :00:49.on 16. In 17, where all the action is.

:00:50. > :01:10.And she's weighing up this birdie putt on 17.

:01:11. > :01:16.It might get her a silver medal, if she can make it. All three of them

:01:17. > :01:22.pretty close. She gets another look at this.

:01:23. > :01:35.Four birdies today and two bogeys in this round. 16 holes. To wonderful

:01:36. > :01:49.the round today. And ten under for the tournament. Started the day at

:01:50. > :02:01.ten under. -- eight under. While China's number one female golfer.

:02:02. > :02:07.For birdie at 17. Not to be. She does have the 18th and we are seeing

:02:08. > :02:18.these golfers getting home in two. I imagine she will give it a good rip

:02:19. > :02:34.at the tee. And she will have a go at the green. Back on the 16th,

:02:35. > :03:09.Inbee Park and Piller to pay the seconds.

:03:10. > :03:18.Gerina Piller... Is it going to work? It's going to stay up there.

:03:19. > :03:28.It might have worked its way down. Inbee Park, she has been flawless.

:03:29. > :03:33.Just one error today, that's all. Inexplicably, she put her ball into

:03:34. > :03:35.the water. Otherwise, it has been the most magnificent display this

:03:36. > :03:58.her second to the 16th. That'll do. And she's been making

:03:59. > :04:03.putts from all over the greens today.

:04:04. > :04:15.At the 17th, she's done it good. She's not in the medal hunt. But she

:04:16. > :04:22.is eight under, Hee Young Yang. Very strong push from the Koreans. How

:04:23. > :04:30.big is this putt from Charley Hull? She gave it a good thump from right

:04:31. > :04:34.down the fairway. And isn't to be. I don't think it's going to do it. I

:04:35. > :04:41.think we can say eight under can't get to a medal because we have three

:04:42. > :04:49.golfers in the clubhouse to at nine under and, of course, Inbee Park,

:04:50. > :04:54.who is going to finish above eight under. Ten or mine, maybe. Ten under

:04:55. > :05:00.will get you in the play-off, and nine under mail may not. It is quite

:05:01. > :05:06.conjugated, this, because if there are two players tied for second and

:05:07. > :05:10.Inbee Park taking the gold medal, the play-off will then see one

:05:11. > :05:19.golfer won a bronze medal and the other win a silver medal. You don't

:05:20. > :05:23.look convinced. I am convinced. I thought I should have written all of

:05:24. > :05:26.this town, after I came back from a briefing last week. Anyway, this is

:05:27. > :05:46.an eagle putt. Lydia Ko. It has got a chance. What a good

:05:47. > :05:50.putt. Good weight, good borrow. A chance for another birdie to get it

:05:51. > :06:20.to ten under, bringing her right in the frame for the silver medal.

:06:21. > :06:51.It has gone left. It can get a little bit scary down there but it

:06:52. > :07:05.is OK. She's going to be on the fairway. Shall be -- she will be

:07:06. > :07:13.able to have a go on the green. This is for her second, Gerina Piller.

:07:14. > :07:23.From there, we haven't seen many putts made. It is a very difficult

:07:24. > :07:29.putt. She stays at six under. But Inbee Park can add another birdie to

:07:30. > :07:43.her tally, this would be birdie number seven on this final round for

:07:44. > :07:48.Inbee Park. No. Tentative. She's 15 under with two holes to go on the

:07:49. > :07:59.Olympic Golf Course in the women's Olympic individual stroke play.

:08:00. > :08:06.Now, Lydia Ko. It is only a short putt but a huge putt in the context

:08:07. > :08:09.of this championship. This is to get her into a tie for second place. And

:08:10. > :08:36.to take a clear of her competitors. Ten under par. The class of Lydia Ko

:08:37. > :08:45.taking her hybrid and reaching the green and two parting for a birdie.

:08:46. > :08:58.-- two putting for a birdie. They look like medallists, the top three.

:08:59. > :09:04.But Feng Shanshan and Lydia Ko with holes to play. Plenty of potential

:09:05. > :09:10.there. All sorts of things could happen. The wind has died down. Just

:09:11. > :09:18.a gentle breeze up at 18, which is why we have seen a few shots

:09:19. > :09:52.reaching the green in two. So there's this lovely little 17th...

:09:53. > :10:06.Interesting with Lydia Ko... Unlike a lot of golfers, she asks questions

:10:07. > :10:09.of the caddie. She doesn't allow the caddie just to tell her. She's

:10:10. > :10:15.constantly asking questions about what's happening rather than the

:10:16. > :10:17.caddie just telling the golfer. Still checking one or two things

:10:18. > :10:38.with Jason Hamilton, the caddie. So, now she... If she gets to 11

:10:39. > :10:43.under, we might not have a play-off. So, sit tight, we could have quite a

:10:44. > :10:54.bit of golfing left here at this Olympic championship.

:10:55. > :11:04.Well, she's found her Mojo late in this fourth round. Got it absolutely

:11:05. > :11:16.right. Clearing the front of that bunker.

:11:17. > :11:26.Now, Gap wedge in the hands of Inbee Park.

:11:27. > :11:46.104 yards, 95 metres. Leading the tournament by five.

:11:47. > :11:56.What a display! It has been a wonderful display by the

:11:57. > :12:04.28-year-old, Inbee Park. Now up ahead at 18, huge shot, Feng

:12:05. > :12:14.Shanshan for China. Ten under, and she has thrown everything into that.

:12:15. > :12:21.It'll be close. If you like to think she can get up and down from there

:12:22. > :12:23.to get to 11 under. That puts a lot of pressure on Lydia Ko's putt on

:12:24. > :12:38.17. Gerina Piller, of the United States.

:12:39. > :12:40.Wonderful shot from the American. Peppering these pins all the way on

:12:41. > :13:13.the back nine. She would have had the links to get

:13:14. > :13:27.the right line. If she runs under she goes out the drop zone.

:13:28. > :13:35.Charley Hull, a round of 68, eight under par to finish. Charlie, people

:13:36. > :13:39.said you played yourself out of contention yesterday but he fought

:13:40. > :13:43.all the way today. I played solid yesterday but I missed quite a few

:13:44. > :13:48.putts. I missed a couple of putts coming in today but I'm pretty

:13:49. > :13:52.happy. I had a good week and looking forward to next week. Always

:13:53. > :13:56.positive. You knew you had to finish so strongly to come back in, get

:13:57. > :14:02.yourself a chance of a medal. How where were you of what you need to

:14:03. > :14:08.do coming down the last few holes? Looking at the leaderboard, I

:14:09. > :14:12.thought I had to get myself there to win the tournament. I thought I

:14:13. > :14:20.could still get a medal. The last hole, I tried to hold the putt and I

:14:21. > :14:24.was a bit of a wimp. You're only 20 years old. Such great maturity to

:14:25. > :14:29.deal with the pressure going around. Will we see you in Tokyo or is it a

:14:30. > :14:36.stupid question? Yes, I'm buzzing the Tokyo. Hope to keep my good golf

:14:37. > :14:49.and can't wait to go there. Thank you. Back to commentary.

:14:50. > :14:57.The story for the American today. Not being able to sync putts and

:14:58. > :15:10.this final round. Of course, Inbee Park has given a putting lesson. She

:15:11. > :15:19.settles the par and stays at six under. She's three over for her

:15:20. > :15:35.final round. Who's to putt first? Inbee Park or Lydia Ko? It is Lydia

:15:36. > :15:44.Ko. Well, this putt would take her to 11 under par. And alone in second

:15:45. > :15:49.place, for the moment. Depending on what Feng Shanshan, who is on the

:15:50. > :15:55.apron of the green on the 18th, and you'd think she'd get up and down

:15:56. > :16:00.for birdie to get to 11 under. That's why this putt is so

:16:01. > :16:03.important. Even if she misses it and she makes four up at 18, she will be

:16:04. > :16:30.in a tie for second place. Lydia Ko, a birdie, to get a little

:16:31. > :16:38.under -- a little under -- 11-under par. She cannot make it so she stays

:16:39. > :16:47.at 10-under. She will need a birdie at 18. Let's look at it again. Never

:16:48. > :16:54.quite online. Again, the frustration.

:16:55. > :17:11.Shall we give her this? The Gold Medal says this is just another with

:17:12. > :17:23.no pressure! That is how you do it. She has shown Lydia Ko, and Gerina

:17:24. > :17:28.Piller, all day, what they have not managed to do.

:17:29. > :17:38.That looks like the Gold Medal in the back, are some major disaster

:17:39. > :17:42.for Inbee Park, and she walks toward the 18th tee, she will play down

:17:43. > :17:49.toward the grandstand and be crowned Olympic champion, for the first time

:17:50. > :17:54.in women's golf in 116 years. Six shots clear of her nearest rivals in

:17:55. > :18:00.this final round, it looks like the silver and bronze medals will go to

:18:01. > :18:15.a play-off, Lydia Ko, world number one, on 10-under par, and also Feng

:18:16. > :18:19.Shanshan also on 10-under as she completes her final shots. For a

:18:20. > :18:24.play-off they go back down 18 and play over and over again until

:18:25. > :18:27.somebody comes out on top. What a tight contest with some of the best

:18:28. > :18:32.players in the world taking on the course. What a magnificent champion

:18:33. > :18:38.we are going to have in the shape of Inbee Park from Korea. You can keep

:18:39. > :18:40.up-to-date with the closing stages of the final round on the Red Button

:18:41. > :18:54.and the app. You might as well hang the Gold

:18:55. > :18:59.Medal around her neck, we will bring you that historic moment as and when

:19:00. > :19:03.it happens, you can follow it over on the Red Button and elsewhere. You

:19:04. > :19:08.can see the fans streaming out of the Aquatics Centre. If you were

:19:09. > :19:15.with us a few moments ago you will have seen that in the semifinal of

:19:16. > :19:21.the men's ten metres platform, Tom Daley did this. Going into the final

:19:22. > :19:25.dive he needed over 100 points to qualify for the final, as you can

:19:26. > :19:30.see from the dive, and the face of the man, it did not go to plan. Tom

:19:31. > :19:39.Daley, out of the competition, does not have a chance to add to his

:19:40. > :19:45.medal in London 2012. After that, he caught up with Helen.

:19:46. > :19:51.Commiserations. We can see what it means to you. It did not quite

:19:52. > :19:55.clicked today, what happened? I have worked so hard for the last four

:19:56. > :20:00.years to get to this point and yesterday I got an Olympic record,

:20:01. > :20:06.the highest score ever in an Olympic Games, and today it was not meant to

:20:07. > :20:10.be. But that is what diving does. I am truly heartbroken. I feel I

:20:11. > :20:15.peaked physical condition and I could have won it tonight. It is

:20:16. > :20:22.really hard to accept how it went today. Your team-mates would argue

:20:23. > :20:25.that this is the most high stressful sport, added to your profile and

:20:26. > :20:30.expectation, what goes through your head on the board? On the board I am

:20:31. > :20:35.completely present in the moment, enjoying each moment as I do it. But

:20:36. > :20:40.today things were not clicking. I was really up for it and training

:20:41. > :20:43.was really good but in the competition it just fell apart. And

:20:44. > :20:48.the other guys did absolutely amazing. I am so happy with how Team

:20:49. > :20:53.GB have done in these Olympic Games and I am so proud to be part of the

:20:54. > :20:58.team, but I just wanted to be able to stand on top of the podium and

:20:59. > :21:03.replicate some of last night, but it was not meant to be, so another four

:21:04. > :21:09.years of hard work to try again next time. Was anything different for you

:21:10. > :21:16.today? It did not feel different. I felt good. I guess my mind and body

:21:17. > :21:23.were not connecting. I knew I had a shot on the last dive, I worked out

:21:24. > :21:29.I needed hundred and two, basically 9.5, ten, I gave it my all, it just

:21:30. > :21:33.did not happen. It did happen last week, you got yourself a bronze

:21:34. > :21:39.medal from the Olympics, not a write-off by any stretch of the

:21:40. > :21:42.imagination. I am really happy, after 2012I came away with a bronze

:21:43. > :21:50.medal and I got a bronze medal here in Synchro, but I just really wanted

:21:51. > :21:54.the gold medal this time round. But there is always another four years.

:21:55. > :22:01.So Tokyo is definitely in your sites? More than ever now. You have

:22:02. > :22:05.done so much for the profile of the sport and you have an army of fans

:22:06. > :22:11.and rightly so. I can see why you are upset but there is no reason to

:22:12. > :22:14.be too down. Thank you, it is just heartbreaking because it is the

:22:15. > :22:20.Olympic Games, the five rings on the wall that mean so much to me. To not

:22:21. > :22:25.be in the final to get a shot for the medal, it is heartbreaking. It

:22:26. > :22:33.gives you a good story for Tokyo. You know films, gives it a better

:22:34. > :22:35.narrative! Exactly, I will give it my best shot and work even harder

:22:36. > :22:45.than ever before. Terribly hard for Tom Daley. Four

:22:46. > :22:51.years of hard work and he qualified as the top diver. For it to go so

:22:52. > :22:57.horribly wrong, just devastating. Let's walk a little bit, this will

:22:58. > :23:04.make for a nice photo bomb. We got the shot. Let's not left ourselves a

:23:05. > :23:11.little bit, after that Tom Daley disappointment. -- uplift ourselves.

:23:12. > :23:26.Because there is a middle to tell you about. In the women's triathlon,

:23:27. > :23:32.Vicky Holland has taken bronze. Gwen Jorgenson Of America was the winner,

:23:33. > :23:36.so happy, ahead of 2012 champion Nicola spearing, and then Vicky

:23:37. > :23:43.Holland took the last spot on the podium and just ahead of her

:23:44. > :23:48.team-mate, Non Stanford. We have got another medal for Great Britain.

:23:49. > :23:58.You are Olympic bronze medallist. I want to cry, how do you feel? I

:23:59. > :24:02.can't describe it. It has been a roller-coaster 24 hours. Felt a bit

:24:03. > :24:07.sick and they did not know how I would feel today, I was really

:24:08. > :24:11.nervous, thought I might be flat and empty, but I got really into it, on

:24:12. > :24:20.the run, and I knew it would come down to either me or Non, which is

:24:21. > :24:24.most horrible thing, because I wanted to do it together, we have

:24:25. > :24:29.worked together trained together, but that is no excuse not to sprint

:24:30. > :24:36.for the medal. So I am delighted to have bronze but just a bit gutted

:24:37. > :24:41.for Non. You embraced on the line, did you say anything? The first

:24:42. > :24:48.thing I said was, I am so sorry. I just wished it could have been us

:24:49. > :24:53.together. But what can you do? Gwen Jorgenson, she was stronger than I

:24:54. > :24:57.thought on the bike, Nicola was just surging on the bike, she really came

:24:58. > :25:01.out to win the title back and was strong enough to hold on for silver.

:25:02. > :25:05.When you think about what you went through the last 18 months, winning

:25:06. > :25:09.your first World Series race, and almost the especially for getting to

:25:10. > :25:15.that level, and you have taken it through to this. Yes, last season

:25:16. > :25:18.was a roller-coaster, I did not expect it to be as good as it was

:25:19. > :25:23.but it just seemed that every race that went by, I was still good. This

:25:24. > :25:28.season was different, we always planned to seek for this race, I was

:25:29. > :25:29.not at my best but had to keep my faith and confidence that I would

:25:30. > :25:46.be, and it has paid off. Non Non Stanford, joining us. Describe

:25:47. > :25:51.your emotions. We came as a team to get a medal, and we have what are we

:25:52. > :25:56.with one, but it was a tough day. We ask Johnny for advice and all he

:25:57. > :26:01.would say is, it is really hard. And it was. I suffered. I gave it

:26:02. > :26:05.everything. I could not have asked more of myself. I may be did not

:26:06. > :26:10.play the tactics quite right but I am delighted for Vicky. Fourth is

:26:11. > :26:14.the worst place to come and the Olympic Games, but it is still

:26:15. > :26:21.fourth place at the Olympic Games. Better than seventh, you should be

:26:22. > :26:24.really proud of that. A question to both of you, what with through your

:26:25. > :26:28.mind as you were coming up in the last lap and you knew it be a sprint

:26:29. > :26:37.between you both, best friends, for the medal? I just was thinking, it

:26:38. > :26:42.will be one of us, it will be one of us. I just thought, I have to put it

:26:43. > :26:46.out of my mind that we are estimates and housemates, because that is not

:26:47. > :26:49.how you race. We always said that when it comes to run it is fair

:26:50. > :26:57.game, just approach it like that -- best mates. I was not as confident

:26:58. > :27:01.of dropping Barbara, she is really strong, so I kept pushing. I wanted

:27:02. > :27:06.to keep the pace his so we did not miss out on medals completely, and

:27:07. > :27:11.Vicky played a bit better, tactically, then me. What can I say?

:27:12. > :27:15.You were world champions 2013 and have had a horrible time with

:27:16. > :27:20.injury, you must be proud of yourself fighting back to this

:27:21. > :27:25.stage. Absolutely. Just in terms of the build-up to the games, because I

:27:26. > :27:30.qualified over a year ago, it was a long wait for it to come around, and

:27:31. > :27:33.it is finally here, and I think I was pleased I got through it and I

:27:34. > :27:38.can still hold my head high even though I did not fulfil the

:27:39. > :27:40.ambitions that I had. You can absolutely hold your head high,

:27:41. > :27:48.fantastic performance, just a shame one of you had to miss out. Exactly,

:27:49. > :27:54.glad it was one of us. Well done, but also commiserations.

:27:55. > :28:00.They have both had their injury problems but it is Vicky Holland

:28:01. > :28:03.enjoying her moment on the podium, a bronze medal for the British

:28:04. > :28:09.athlete, she took bronze at the Commonwealth Games a couple of years

:28:10. > :28:13.ago. Rollins for Great Britain, silver and gold for the Brownlee

:28:14. > :28:20.brothers a couple of days ago. A fantastic effort from Vicky Holland.

:28:21. > :28:24.We will now show you some canoeing shortly, but first let's get back

:28:25. > :28:30.down to the golf, they are closing up in the woman's competition.

:28:31. > :28:46.That will not worry her, whatever club she uses. She has a lot of

:28:47. > :28:50.green to work with. If Lydia Ko wants her hands on the Silver Medal

:28:51. > :28:59.now, she needs to get up and down here in two.

:29:00. > :29:05.Either a clean shot, like that, or just the controlled one. Whatever

:29:06. > :29:11.you are more comfortable with. 76 is still in play. Aim to land about 73.

:29:12. > :29:40.That is the drill. She has made a bit of a meal of

:29:41. > :29:51.this, hasn't she? From beach to beach. Still on the sand.

:29:52. > :29:55.Well, at least this grandstand, these crowds, they will see a little

:29:56. > :30:10.bit more of Inbee Park. The last group gets called onto the

:30:11. > :30:28.green. I'm not sure if there isn't some

:30:29. > :30:34.discussion going on here about Lydia Ko's bull-mac, where it finished. I

:30:35. > :30:39.think the official, the referee in the pink, they may have to determine

:30:40. > :30:43.where the bull-mac landed. And place it there as near as possible to

:30:44. > :30:52.where they think it landed before the young person interfered with the

:30:53. > :30:57.ball. He just wanted an Olympic memento. In the meantime, Gerina

:30:58. > :31:18.Piller. Getting it clean off the grass. And

:31:19. > :31:30.back were Feng Shanshan finished up with her third when she parted to

:31:31. > :31:51.strongly. This is a silver medal chip.

:31:52. > :32:05.She is pacing it out herself. The Olympic silver medal really rests on

:32:06. > :32:12.this short pitch. So, she's got very little green to land the ball on. We

:32:13. > :32:30.know how fast these greens are. And there is a bunker just a few metres

:32:31. > :32:31.behind her. No cameras, please. She wants a fair crack at this difficult

:32:32. > :32:57.shot back. How close can she get it? Not bad.

:32:58. > :33:03.She has been missing putts from that area all day. I think she's slightly

:33:04. > :33:05.disappointed with that. She wanted that closer. That putt is for the

:33:06. > :33:19.silver medal. Fourth shot from the leader, Inbee

:33:20. > :33:31.Park. Can she make it an up and down after a round of 66?

:33:32. > :33:46.APPLAUSE. Just outstanding golf we've seen

:33:47. > :33:49.from this great champion all day. She has the most unruffled

:33:50. > :34:01.disposition. Nothing seems to faze her. She certainly fazes the

:34:02. > :34:06.challengers. She has putted the lights out all day and Stacy Lewis

:34:07. > :34:16.applauds. And her team-mates, the other three Korean players as well.

:34:17. > :34:23.Gerina Piller has seen her challenge for a medal fade away today in this

:34:24. > :34:28.final round, but she has been a wonderful competitor, from the

:34:29. > :34:34.United States. Two birdies on the card all day for the American.

:34:35. > :34:47.Unfortunately, five bogeys on there as well. She has three quarters her

:34:48. > :34:53.round. -- she is three quarters her round.

:34:54. > :35:04.The putts have simply stayed out. 74 today for Gerina Piller from the

:35:05. > :35:18.USA. At the moment it looks like she's going to finish in the tie for

:35:19. > :35:27.11th place. Now... Lydia Ko. No gold-medal, but is there a silver

:35:28. > :35:31.lining? Well, she represents... Even if she misses this putt, she will

:35:32. > :35:36.still have another chance at the silver medal. I was just going to

:35:37. > :35:37.say, you're there from the land of the Long white cloud and Silver

:35:38. > :36:24.fern. Yes, exactly. Yes! She has done it! Number one in

:36:25. > :36:32.the world at 17, major championship winner at 18, and now an Olympic

:36:33. > :36:38.silver-medallist at 19. Do we want to look at this again? I'm not sure

:36:39. > :36:42.we do. It didn't want to go down but finally one dropped for Lydia Ko and

:36:43. > :37:10.she wins the silver medal. Now... APPLAUSE.

:37:11. > :37:15.In the end, it was a walk in the park for 28-year-old Caroline

:37:16. > :37:27.Masson. She ran away with the gold medal. She won by five shots with a

:37:28. > :37:31.third 66 of the tournament. A fitting Olympic triumph for the

:37:32. > :37:40.return of women's golf after a break of over 100 years. So, a worthy

:37:41. > :37:46.champion in Korea's Inbee Park. She adds the Olympic title to her seven

:37:47. > :37:50.major championship wins. She led from start to finish yesterday,

:37:51. > :37:57.start to finish today. And she finishes five shots clear of the

:37:58. > :37:59.rest of the field on 16 under par. Magnificent from Inbee Park,

:38:00. > :38:03.particularly considering this is her first competitive round of golf in

:38:04. > :38:07.two months because she had a thumb injury that kept out of the game.

:38:08. > :38:13.She's back with a bang and with the gold medal shortly to be hung around

:38:14. > :38:20.her neck. The world number one, Lydia Ko, snatching silver on the

:38:21. > :38:23.18th, and Feng Shanshan gets the bronze. My brain is fried it has

:38:24. > :38:33.been so complicated. ORE: It has been incredible the last

:38:34. > :38:41.few days. And we have been given a demonstration of golf by Inbee Park.

:38:42. > :38:46.Tom Daley, disappointment a little while ago in the diving. These

:38:47. > :38:49.British fans were there. These British fans were there. We thought

:38:50. > :38:54.we'd give them a window, a chance to say hello to everyone back in the

:38:55. > :38:58.UK. Where are you going next? Were going to the mountain biking and

:38:59. > :39:10.athletics tonight and hopefully Mo Farah will do it for us! The Mo

:39:11. > :39:15.massive are back in the Park! Give us a Mobot. Best of luck tonight.

:39:16. > :39:19.Have a wonderful rest of time in Rio. They're having a great time at

:39:20. > :39:24.Copacabana Beach. Have a look at these shots. Wonderful aerobatics

:39:25. > :39:30.down on the most famous beach in the world. They are upside down! That is

:39:31. > :39:39.absolutely stunning. So, a special display Delma of the aerobatics. We

:39:40. > :39:43.only have a couple more days of Rio 2016 and these summer Olympic Games

:39:44. > :39:48.and we have to make sure we enjoy every single second of it. The

:39:49. > :39:51.Olympic Games always so special. Imagine if it was your birthday and

:39:52. > :39:57.you won is silver medal in your birthday week. That's exactly what

:39:58. > :40:00.happened to Liam Heath in the K2 200 metres, alongside Jon Schofield, a

:40:01. > :40:05.couple of days ago. He powered into the final of the K1 200 metres as

:40:06. > :40:10.well a couple of days ago. It put him into the final and, earlier on

:40:11. > :40:14.down at the Lagoa Stadium, it was time to see if Liam could go for

:40:15. > :40:23.gold this time around. The clouds have come down on us in Rio. It's

:40:24. > :40:25.the same here at the Olympic Park, you could barely see the Christ the

:40:26. > :40:28.Redeemer statue. Could Liam Power through the mist? Patrick Winterton

:40:29. > :40:46.and Helen Reeves watched this one. Here is the start list for the

:40:47. > :40:52.final. And there in the lane five, you can see Liam Heath of Great

:40:53. > :40:56.Britain. He was the winner of his semifinal heat, having started

:40:57. > :41:00.slowly. We suggested he had a bad start. We had afterwards that it was

:41:01. > :41:04.tactical because of the rough conditions, he didn't want to go

:41:05. > :41:09.100% out of the bucket. He picked it up. It shows the confidence he has.

:41:10. > :41:32.He was a metre and a half behind after just ten.

:41:33. > :41:39.Very exciting down here at the Lagoa Stadium and we are a minute or so

:41:40. > :41:50.away from the start of the men's K1 200 metres. The reigning Olympic

:41:51. > :41:55.champion isn't here to defend the Olympic medal. Liam Heath is the

:41:56. > :41:59.sizzling hot favourite for this event and he looked good yesterday.

:42:00. > :42:04.Here's man he who he trains with, Bird. He moved to the UK to train

:42:05. > :42:08.alongside Liam Heath, so perhaps the danger man. Perhaps he will be. They

:42:09. > :42:15.have been drawn one lane next each other. BirdCravio getting a lot of

:42:16. > :42:21.benefit from paddling with Liam. It is good to have that tight

:42:22. > :42:27.competition all the time. This man already has a gold medal from the K2

:42:28. > :42:38.200 metres, Craviotto. And he was the silver-medallist behind McKeever

:42:39. > :42:45.in 2012. Anyone who gets a good start is in with a shout of the

:42:46. > :42:53.medals. Just 0.8 seconds separating the top eight in the preliminaries.

:42:54. > :42:58.Watch out for a Liam Heath, he's in lane five. He sits like the crowd at

:42:59. > :43:01.the hockey last night, on the edge of a seat, bent forward with

:43:02. > :43:10.tension. I think the reduction of air resistance might be difference.

:43:11. > :43:13.Away they go. Again, not the best of starts to Liam Heath. He's forth

:43:14. > :43:20.from this side, and he's looking to repeat Britain's success. It is lame

:43:21. > :43:25.format, Beaumont, who has the lead at the moment. It is the closing

:43:26. > :43:31.stages. Half a metre down, Liam Heath is. Still, Liam is driving. He

:43:32. > :43:39.starts to edge forward as Beaumont fades. Ten centimetres in it, and

:43:40. > :43:43.Liam Heath has believed. He's got to stay strong. Craviotto coming in.

:43:44. > :43:50.Gold goes to Liam Heath. He came here as the favourite and he will

:43:51. > :43:54.lead Rio as the Olympic champion and the most successful British paddler

:43:55. > :44:01.of all time. He has a gold, silver and bronze to his collection. He

:44:02. > :44:05.leads from seventh up to first up the tally of British paddlers. It is

:44:06. > :44:10.a some say she will run. It took awhile to get into the flow. It was

:44:11. > :44:13.a slow start as we saw in the semifinals yesterday. He had us

:44:14. > :44:19.waiting on the edge of our seats. Beaumont gave it everything. From

:44:20. > :44:23.the start giving Liam Heath the challenge with the confidence he

:44:24. > :44:27.has. Gold for Liam Heath. He looked like he knew it from the outset. He

:44:28. > :44:33.was challenged by Beaumont but he just stayed in his game and he came

:44:34. > :44:38.through so fast towards the end. Just like Lisa Carrington in the

:44:39. > :44:44.women's K1 200, she left it to the last 50 metres. Liam Heath left it

:44:45. > :44:49.later than that. Liam Heath is an gold medal position, Beaumont, who

:44:50. > :44:52.led for so much of the race, in silver, and Craviotto, who took

:44:53. > :44:57.silver in London four years ago, he's got himself a bronze to add to

:44:58. > :45:02.the gold he took in the K2 200 metres. Craviotto is a class act but

:45:03. > :45:07.it was all about Liam Heath today. Everyone knew that he was on form

:45:08. > :45:11.when he won the Europeans. When he won the World Cup, everyone was

:45:12. > :45:16.talking in terms of gold medals for Liam Heath. He has defied the fact

:45:17. > :45:20.he was favourite. We've seen some sparkling performances from him. How

:45:21. > :45:26.good is that? It isn't just the physical thing and technical thing,

:45:27. > :45:36.this is a mental race as well. It is and he has the confidence. That

:45:37. > :45:42.single the -- silver medal he got that has given confidence. He came

:45:43. > :45:48.here today, he was the man to beat. Beaumont from France in the lane

:45:49. > :45:53.next door to him gave it his all. Really challenged Liam Heath but he

:45:54. > :45:58.just nailed that last part. That is where it is won. It is how long you

:45:59. > :46:06.can hold on. There's the photo finish the third. Craviotto on the

:46:07. > :46:16.near side. The times are just coming up.

:46:17. > :46:27.The big plunge from Beaumont wasn't enough, Spain and Germany share the

:46:28. > :46:38.bronze medal, but all the attention and cameras are all on Liam Heath.

:46:39. > :46:43.The margins are so tight. He has just heard. I cannot believe it took

:46:44. > :46:47.so long for the German team to pass on the message. He thought he had

:46:48. > :46:53.lost it. But they have looked at the photo finish and they cannot

:46:54. > :46:57.separate Germany and Spain. A little bit more drama at the canoe sprint,

:46:58. > :47:05.and we still have three finals to go. What a moment, when he realised

:47:06. > :47:09.he had the bronze medal, fantastic can even imagine how excited he

:47:10. > :47:17.would be coming into that race. The expectation was phenomenal. I said

:47:18. > :47:22.this morning, switch on your television, we have a real chance of

:47:23. > :47:27.gold. And there we have it. He left us waiting. I was thinking, make the

:47:28. > :47:33.move, make the move. But he knew what he was doing and he did it.

:47:34. > :47:37.After ten metres he was in eighth position. A sensational run, his

:47:38. > :47:41.arms spinning like a turbine in a gale. I believe he is now with

:47:42. > :47:50.Ritchie. Let's hear what the Olympic champion, Liam Heath, has to say.

:47:51. > :47:56.Olympic champion, how does it sound to you? Absolutely incredible, it

:47:57. > :48:04.has been in my mind every single day for the last four years. I switched

:48:05. > :48:10.on to automatic and I just went. I just kept going. A bit of a

:48:11. > :48:15.headwind, but it is unbelievable. You had is worried for a little

:48:16. > :48:21.minute, a bit of ground to claw back, never a moment of doubt in

:48:22. > :48:25.your mind? Not really. You don't pay attention to anyone around you. You

:48:26. > :48:31.just focus on your lane. I hit start quite hard, have got to judge

:48:32. > :48:38.conditions a bit. Just a good, solid start. Lengthen out, keep a grip,

:48:39. > :48:42.right down to the line. Of all the athletes we speak to the word they

:48:43. > :48:47.mention is the sacrifice they have made, whether it be themselves, the

:48:48. > :48:52.people around them, and how much it is worth it. When you win a gold

:48:53. > :48:56.medal, how much is it worth it? Every ounce. I want to thank

:48:57. > :49:02.everybody who has supported me, friends, family, Johnny, he has been

:49:03. > :49:08.out doing drills with me for the sessions, checking out my boat, my

:49:09. > :49:12.coach, Alex, an amazing man, and all the support crew behind me. One more

:49:13. > :49:19.thing, you have now become the most successful Olympian when it comes to

:49:20. > :49:26.canoe sprint athletes for great. Exceeding Tim Brabant is. One gold,

:49:27. > :49:31.one silver, one bronze. What does it mean to you? I have not thought

:49:32. > :49:35.about it. I glimpsed it on Facebook, but I try to keep away from that,

:49:36. > :49:42.and reading stuff. I did not let it play on my mind much. I still look

:49:43. > :49:46.up to those guys. Tim is an idol, I remember watching him when I was

:49:47. > :49:50.little. To see him winning, and all the guys who have competed for great

:49:51. > :49:54.Britain, I still look up to them and to be honest I still feel like I

:49:55. > :49:58.need to achieve what they have done, but this is an absolutely incredible

:49:59. > :50:01.feeling. You are now the standard for anybody who wants to get in and

:50:02. > :50:10.paddle, you are the man, congratulations.

:50:11. > :50:21.The most successful Olympic paddlers that Great Britain has ever had.

:50:22. > :50:30.What a moment for him. He moves ahead of Hounslow, Joe Clark, Edna

:50:31. > :50:37.Kiva, Tim Brabant, a multiple medallist as well, it was a gold,

:50:38. > :50:44.and two bronzes. The Heath has gold, silver, bronze. What a collection.

:50:45. > :50:53.Huge congratulations to Liam Heath. For we went into that we were

:50:54. > :50:58.telling you how they are putting on a wonderful display in the

:50:59. > :51:03.aerobatics, and how about this? They have arrived. Here at the Olympic

:51:04. > :51:10.Park. And just like that, they have gone. A shame. It was special while

:51:11. > :51:11.it lasted. And the crowd that had gathered

:51:12. > :51:21.wait, wait. Can you see them? Can you spot them? OK. Worth the wait. I

:51:22. > :51:26.think so. I wonder what else they have got in store. This is

:51:27. > :51:30.absolutely remarkable. There has not much movement in the Olympic Park

:51:31. > :51:33.where all of a sudden in the last few moments everybody in Rio seems

:51:34. > :51:39.to have arrived. We are watching something special up in the air

:51:40. > :51:45.above us. Check this out. They are on the way down now. Somewhere in

:51:46. > :51:52.the white cloud, can we see them? We can definitely hear them, that is

:51:53. > :51:57.for sure. My goodness me. We have got the red arrows at home but I

:51:58. > :52:04.tell you what, we are, what ever they can do, they can do better

:52:05. > :52:08.here. Special, really nice. OK, well... From something quite

:52:09. > :52:13.remarkable up in the sky let's bring things back down onto the ground and

:52:14. > :52:18.talk tae kwon do, shall we? Yesterday we saw how you can have

:52:19. > :52:25.really inspiring moments but also some really heartbreaking moments as

:52:26. > :52:30.well. Natalia Mohammed was going for Great Britain, bronze medallist

:52:31. > :52:36.London 2012, one second away from coming away with a gold medal here

:52:37. > :52:42.at Rio. He had done absolutely everything, leaning into the last

:52:43. > :52:54.second... Before his opponent, from the Ivory Coast, pulled off that at

:52:55. > :52:57.the very last moment. For the Ivory Coast, a moment he will never

:52:58. > :53:05.forget, in the best possible way. For Muhammed, devastation. He

:53:06. > :53:06.managed to compose himself, were only able. Afterwards, he caught up

:53:07. > :53:18.us. I cannot imagine what going through

:53:19. > :53:20.right now. Can you put into words? I was so close to being Olympic

:53:21. > :53:26.champion and accomplishing my dream... I don't want to cry on

:53:27. > :53:30.television but I was so distraught. I am so sorry for the people that

:53:31. > :53:41.stayed up late to watch and cheer me on. I let them down at the last

:53:42. > :53:49.second. I am so sorry, this is so hard. How tough was it out there

:53:50. > :53:52.against the crowd? Can you take any consolation, it is still the best of

:53:53. > :53:58.British result for a male tae kwon do fighter? It is incredible, but I

:53:59. > :54:05.was so close to being Olympic champion.

:54:06. > :54:13.I am sorry, I am sorry... Excuse me, I have got to hold us together, but

:54:14. > :54:18.the emotions are so raw. This is just happening now. It is hard to

:54:19. > :54:22.put into words how disappointed I am. I am proud I contributed to the

:54:23. > :54:27.record-breaking British telly but it should have been a gold medal. I am

:54:28. > :54:33.just so upset. I cannot speak clearly. I am still going to do a

:54:34. > :54:36.lap with the crowd because they supported me so much, but I am

:54:37. > :54:44.absolutely gutted, to load it like that. OK, but you... That is life.

:54:45. > :54:48.Winners and losers. That is sport. It is what makes sports so

:54:49. > :54:54.interesting. I am so distraught to be on the losing end here. After

:54:55. > :55:01.four years waiting for my chance... I trained so hard. I trained so hard

:55:02. > :55:06.that I almost wanted to quit. But I persevered and I got here and made

:55:07. > :55:10.it to the Olympic final. I am so grateful to God that he allowed me

:55:11. > :55:16.to be here, but I am so disappointed right now it is unbelievable. One of

:55:17. > :55:21.the low points in my life. Making an Olympic final, this is very sad for

:55:22. > :55:26.me now. I am sorry I could not convert it to gold. You still went

:55:27. > :55:29.one better than London and Europe made history tonight. Enjoy the

:55:30. > :55:34.podium, we will speak to you later. Thanks for your time.

:55:35. > :55:40.You have got to feel for him. Incredible emotion and so nice of

:55:41. > :55:44.him to actually speak to us. But he had so much to be proud of and after

:55:45. > :55:48.he received his silver medal it was great to see the frown turned upside

:55:49. > :55:53.down and he was able to smile and appreciate what he had done. Great

:55:54. > :55:59.Britain, two tae kwon do medals, that silver, gold for Jade Jones

:56:00. > :56:03.eight couple days ago. Today was another chance in the over 80

:56:04. > :56:07.kilograms category, somebody who has never gone gone the quarterfinals in

:56:08. > :56:13.a major competition but on the Olympic stage you really raise your

:56:14. > :56:24.game. Let's go over to Mark and kneel to find out how it went.

:56:25. > :56:37.He is ready to go, his opponent from the Ivory Coast, he won the Olympic

:56:38. > :56:43.qualification tournament in Turkey to qualify for these Olympic Games.

:56:44. > :56:49.Respect for each other. As usual, one of the highlights of the contact

:56:50. > :56:57.sport, and here in the tae kwon do matter, Obame and, in the blue

:56:58. > :57:05.colours, and for Great Britain, Cho, in the red. You has to wonder how

:57:06. > :57:07.restricting the mouth guards are. But they have two fight with them

:57:08. > :57:32.for safety reasons. Look at that readjustment. Crucial.

:57:33. > :57:39.Don't have to take chances. Respect continuing on the mat. Neither is

:57:40. > :57:42.willing to come too far forward and commit to too much attack in fear of

:57:43. > :57:52.what might come the other way. Exactly. Attack, counter attack.

:57:53. > :58:04.Just so important. That was to the head, wasn't it, there? Score, oh so

:58:05. > :58:09.close. It is a tough draw for Obame, London silver medallist and world

:58:10. > :58:15.champion, seeded seventh, did not get any protection in this round of

:58:16. > :58:21.16 clash against Cho, the number ten seeded athlete in this field. Really

:58:22. > :58:24.tough. Spectacular, and in fact three points awarded. A spinning

:58:25. > :58:30.manoeuvre to the body from Great Britain. Moved up to three point

:58:31. > :58:39.very quickly. Just so fast. Great spin kick. Gave one away as well.

:58:40. > :58:44.There is that example. You attack, you open yourself up. You may score,

:58:45. > :58:48.but you may be scored against. That is one of the reasons they are in

:58:49. > :58:58.and then back out again to create the space and distance. That was

:58:59. > :59:01.good, wasn't it? Or timing. The opening round of this meant's

:59:02. > :59:06.heavyweight contest. At the first break it is great Britain and Cho in

:59:07. > :59:33.the lead, 4-1. That was the spinning kick that

:59:34. > :59:38.scored, excellent stuff. A more difficult manoeuvre means higher

:59:39. > :59:50.points. But it still has to hit the target. That man, Mohammed Cho, born

:59:51. > :59:53.in the Ivory Coast, and to Great Britain at age eight, he says he was

:59:54. > :59:57.challenged every day at school simply because he was strong. He

:59:58. > :00:01.said he would come home with bruises, and utilised the pain and

:00:02. > :00:09.hardship experienced since childhood is motivation every day. Ever it

:00:10. > :00:13.takes, but you should not need any extra motivation to be here on the

:00:14. > :00:16.tae kwon do mat, it is the sport he loves and what he does, can he

:00:17. > :00:29.become an Olympic medallist? A slender lead. This is to go into the

:00:30. > :00:32.top eight. It is a long day. You have got to stay focused. It is all

:00:33. > :00:41.about the warm up as well. How will you warm up.

:00:42. > :00:44.I thought his foot went out there, but he went straight back into the

:00:45. > :01:05.attack. Keeping cool, keeping composure,

:01:06. > :01:17.which is a massive part of the sport, particularly in an

:01:18. > :01:24.environment like this one. It is easy to get carried away, he may be

:01:25. > :01:27.down by three, but he is only one move away. If he can get up high, it

:01:28. > :01:30.is all square at 4-4. We now into the second minute. -- second minute

:01:31. > :01:36.of the second round. He turned his back for a split second and realised

:01:37. > :01:45.what he did. The last thing he wants to do. See how quick Mahama Cho was

:01:46. > :01:54.on him. It is one of the problems with absolute full commitment. You

:01:55. > :02:17.have to readjust your balance. 27 seconds left.

:02:18. > :02:30.Sometimes there is a clash of the ankles and feet. Mahama Cho was just

:02:31. > :02:42.trying to move around. The second round is over. Intriguing second

:02:43. > :02:50.round, with no addition to the scoring. Another two minutes out

:02:51. > :03:00.there, still unable to get a genuine score on the board. He will need to

:03:01. > :03:14.do it soon. You won the first medal in any Olympic sport for Gabon four

:03:15. > :03:22.years ago. Lutalo Muhammad was disappointed not to compete for his

:03:23. > :03:32.country in 2012, and he left and competed for France for a short

:03:33. > :03:38.while, but he is now back. Third period, third round. Interesting to

:03:39. > :03:48.see what he comes out with no. He has to try to get points back. Here

:03:49. > :04:01.we go. The third and final round begins. Around of heavyweight

:04:02. > :04:11.action. The favoured fighter is in blue. His hero is Usain Bolt. And he

:04:12. > :04:28.wants to add a goal to his collection.

:04:29. > :04:43.That was another spinning kick. He got on the board with the extra

:04:44. > :04:48.point. Now, a 6-point margin. The excitement did not come from Mahama

:04:49. > :05:46.Cho. He thought he had got good contact.

:05:47. > :05:50.9-6, sacrificed a couple. This is where we have seen it changed. And

:05:51. > :06:02.now he is going to have to come forward. Anthony Obame needs to take

:06:03. > :06:07.it to him. Nine - six. He gets it. Three points on the board goes to

:06:08. > :06:16.Mahama Cho, and he increases his lead to 12-6. That Rosa Burc, under

:06:17. > :06:22.pressure, and he managed to turn on it. An extra three points. A

:06:23. > :06:29.comfortable win. Batch that was superb.

:06:30. > :06:35.STUDIO: Mahama Cho through to the next round, congratulations to him.

:06:36. > :06:38.S Jake BBC One and see what they are getting up to, because it is time

:06:39. > :06:45.for the reigning Olympic flyweight champion, Nicola Adams, to go for

:06:46. > :06:49.the gold medal here at real 2016. They are going into the final round

:06:50. > :06:53.right here. She was the first woman to win an Olympic gold medal at the

:06:54. > :07:02.Olympic Games. Can she make it two? Find out right now over on BBC One.

:07:03. > :07:05.Here on BBC Four we're going to join this wonderful aerobatics display at

:07:06. > :07:11.the Olympic Park. Not just me, this merry band of great British fans as

:07:12. > :07:17.well. This has been nice! We have loved it, what an unexpected

:07:18. > :07:20.pleasure. No, you guys have accreditation here, which means you

:07:21. > :07:25.rally to be here. What have you been up to? We have been here to see the

:07:26. > :07:30.diving, but we have been here to see the diving, but we're here as

:07:31. > :07:36.volunteers, we volunteered in London in 2012, and have come back here to

:07:37. > :07:41.volunteer. How does it compare? London was completely different, a

:07:42. > :07:44.passionate moment for us to represent our country and make sure

:07:45. > :07:48.everything was great, but to come here has been a completely different

:07:49. > :07:55.experience, more of a party experience, really. Italy of you met

:07:56. > :08:05.at London 2012 and you a special bond, with a whole other group of

:08:06. > :08:10.guys as well? Guess, we are the gold to people for sporting events, we

:08:11. > :08:16.have done rugby, World Cup, hockey events, we are in a choir, and we

:08:17. > :08:21.have sung every answer. We can sing a lot of anthems in the native

:08:22. > :08:27.languages. Here on BBC Four yesterday, we had some Japanese

:08:28. > :08:34.cheerleader squads. We have had the aerobatics today. Will you give us a

:08:35. > :08:36.little singsong? We have put you on the spot. What can you sing? Would

:08:37. > :09:07.you like an ant? And NATIONAL ANTHEM Can you do New Zealand? Or South

:09:08. > :09:24.Africa? In your own time. THE SING THE SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL

:09:25. > :09:48.you sing the New Zealand won while I do the next link.

:09:49. > :09:54.That is beautiful. It is about random! We're going to go to more

:09:55. > :10:01.tae kwon do. Great Britain's Bianca Walkden. She was in the arena when

:10:02. > :10:07.Jade Jones won the gold medal couple of days ago. What can the European

:10:08. > :10:09.champion do right now? I am a big fan of New Zealand. What about Great

:10:10. > :10:38.Britain? Let us see. We have a birds eye view under way.

:10:39. > :10:45.Push kick to the body from Bianca Walkden.

:10:46. > :10:57.She is strong and powerful, and the current world champion. She has not

:10:58. > :11:03.drifted at any stage. Will Paolo she got. Right on the button. Scoring

:11:04. > :11:40.twice. A very simple kick. This is the over 67 kilograms

:11:41. > :11:46.division. Samantha Kassman is giving away about six kilograms. And

:11:47. > :12:02.looking very confident. That was a great one to the head. Three points.

:12:03. > :12:23.A defensive battle here for Samantha Kassman to stay around and stay in

:12:24. > :12:28.this one. There is a chance it could be over after the second round if

:12:29. > :12:39.the margin gets out to 12. And of course, the longer it goes, the more

:12:40. > :12:43.Bianca Walkden warms up. Yes, you get that feeling. Just readjust and

:12:44. > :12:48.clear she wants to be. Looking at the target. The first round is over.

:12:49. > :12:59.A great start. Yes, the current world champion.

:13:00. > :13:12.Roommates and living together, they want two medals to hang in the

:13:13. > :13:27.house. Straight underneath Ian. A great headshot. Another opportunity.

:13:28. > :13:33.That could have been a video opportunity, but you do not want to

:13:34. > :13:41.waste it in case you get it wrong. The Coach wants to keep his athlete

:13:42. > :13:51.quietened, the championship for Bianca Walkden came just after she

:13:52. > :13:53.had ruptured her cruciate ligament, her second injury in a few years,

:13:54. > :13:58.and she needed total reconstruction with screws. She said she is like

:13:59. > :14:08.the bionic She is very accurate with feet.

:14:09. > :14:11.Brilliant. Finding her way through everything. Samantha Kassman needs

:14:12. > :14:33.to change a little bit. One penalty, I am not sure what that

:14:34. > :14:45.is for, but it will not alter anything on the scoreboard.

:14:46. > :14:51.You just get the feeling it is a matter of time.

:14:52. > :14:59.It is a 12 point margin at the end of the second round, that is it.

:15:00. > :15:13.-- at the end of the second round, that is it. Back foot goes out. It

:15:14. > :15:19.is so strong. Her stance is very strong. The body shot margin up to

:15:20. > :15:24.ten. Samantha Kassman did not comment on a wildcard, she earned

:15:25. > :15:33.her spot and she's being dissected here. Bianca Walkden is saying that

:15:34. > :15:37.her housemate has already won gold, and she would not mind one on the

:15:38. > :15:43.book shelf next to it. Jade Jones has now got two.

:15:44. > :15:57.First point of birth, the second manoeuvre to Walkden. If she wants

:15:58. > :16:03.to win it in one round, Bianca Walkden would have to go high and

:16:04. > :16:09.she's not going to risk it just for the sake of winning in this round.

:16:10. > :16:16.That will be the sit down and they will continue. She had lost count.

:16:17. > :16:23.12 points on the board, 11th for Great Britain and one for Papua New

:16:24. > :16:33.Guinea. Very comfortable start for Bianca Walkden. Every time,

:16:34. > :16:38.underneath the arm. Right up to the bodyguard and then that one just

:16:39. > :16:45.their changes completely, there. And just to make sure, that she gets the

:16:46. > :16:52.three points... By tracking the points up now, just needs a view in

:16:53. > :16:57.this round to finish it off ski. Interesting to see what Kassman has

:16:58. > :17:10.for the next round. All business here for Bianca Walkden. We know the

:17:11. > :17:15.anchor has got some very smart people in her corner that ensure she

:17:16. > :17:23.is in the right place at the appropriate time. Have a look for

:17:24. > :17:31.something that's going to happen here to finish this off. The roles

:17:32. > :17:37.of Olympic tae kwon do, once the margin gets to 12 or beyond in the

:17:38. > :17:45.third round, that is it. -- the rules. Totally outclassed here, the

:17:46. > :17:49.athlete from Papua New Guinea. Great to be here and great to be on the

:17:50. > :17:56.stage, but a tough draw! It wasn't the easiest, was it? It really

:17:57. > :18:03.wasn't. On the defence all the time. A point on the board but that was

:18:04. > :18:12.penalties. Just being pounded to the body. The right leg of Walkden

:18:13. > :18:22.constantly searching for contact. It might go all the way. Through the

:18:23. > :18:30.double rapid charge she may well be back again regardless. -- the double

:18:31. > :18:39.repechage. That is it. She just needed those three points. Walkden

:18:40. > :18:43.very comfortably goes through to the last eight. A big smile on her face.

:18:44. > :18:47.She did exactly what she wanted to do.

:18:48. > :18:59.Congratulations then, Bianca Walkden. Bianca Walkden safely

:19:00. > :19:08.through in their competitions here at Rio 2016. We're making friends

:19:09. > :19:21.here! Say hello, everybody. Say hi! CHEERING

:19:22. > :19:27.OK... Yep... Loads of friends! What do you do... We go to the boxing!

:19:28. > :19:31.That's what we do. Great Britain have won another Gold Medal!

:19:32. > :19:36.Congratulations Nicola Adams. She's done exactly what she did in London

:19:37. > :19:41.2012 and retained her title. The world, Commonwealth and European

:19:42. > :19:44.champion has done it again. An incredible display down there at the

:19:45. > :19:49.Riocentro pavilions. She adds another Gold Medal to Great

:19:50. > :19:53.Britain's ever-growing tally. She came and she did exactly what she

:19:54. > :19:56.wanted to do. Afterwards she caught up with a very happy John Inverdale

:19:57. > :20:01.and a man who knows exactly what it takes to win Olympic gold.

:20:02. > :20:08.Olympic boxing champion for the second time. Many, many

:20:09. > :20:13.congratulations. A hug from Anthony Joshua! The gold rush continues!

:20:14. > :20:17.Yes, the gold rush continues. I'm now officially the most accomplished

:20:18. > :20:21.amateur boxer we've ever had, like ever! It's such an amazing feeling.

:20:22. > :20:27.I would just like to say thank you to everyone who has supported me, my

:20:28. > :20:35.mum, my brother, and thank you to my coach, is daughter, his birthday

:20:36. > :20:42.today. We made it! Can you compare that with London four years ago?

:20:43. > :20:47.Definitely go it's right up there. They're both on the same level. It

:20:48. > :20:52.takes a lot to win an Olympic medal and especially to be able to do it

:20:53. > :20:55.twice. I'd just like to be able to thank my coaching staff, everyone.

:20:56. > :20:59.It's almost the end of the Olympic Games and I guess you've watched

:21:00. > :21:02.hours and hours of television with Great Britain winning medals all

:21:03. > :21:07.over the place. How much was that an inspiration to you as well?

:21:08. > :21:11.Definitely. Especially seeing Mo Farah fall down, get up and show

:21:12. > :21:17.determination and go out and win his Gold Medal. You will be on that

:21:18. > :21:22.podium again very shortly, we will talk to you again later on.

:21:23. > :21:34.Congratulations. Another Gold Medal adding to our

:21:35. > :21:44.tally. Consolidating that position. 26 golds, 63 in total and just two

:21:45. > :21:56.away from the tally from four years ago. A day and a half to go. I think

:21:57. > :22:03.I got poked with an inflatable finger moments ago! That was

:22:04. > :22:13.uncomfortable! We have a bronze medal match in the men's competition

:22:14. > :22:19.in the water polo. Later on, we will see fighting for gold, Croatia and

:22:20. > :22:31.Serbia. But now, Montenegro take on Italy. It is Italy who lead by five

:22:32. > :22:36.goals to four. Let's watch and see who comes out with the bronze.

:22:37. > :22:43.COMMENTATOR: This is a battle for possession to start the second half

:22:44. > :22:54.and really you wonder if Montenegro just conceded that, there. But in

:22:55. > :23:03.this right lane, it's the Italians who take this. There's a time when

:23:04. > :23:12.he could have been an Olympian freestyler. That is him with the

:23:13. > :23:18.ball now. It is Montenegro who have lost the player. Advantage Italy on

:23:19. > :23:23.the power play. Here, to increase their lead with this extra player.

:23:24. > :23:27.They are moving quickly and looking confident. They got an angle from

:23:28. > :23:39.that far side with that left-handed thrower. That is their danger man,

:23:40. > :23:41.Gallo. He has two already and looking for a third and they get the

:23:42. > :24:01.benefit of another shot clock. A couple of infringements that,

:24:02. > :24:06.Montenegrin needing to be careful. Two major fowls. Confirmation of

:24:07. > :24:23.that, if he gets a third he will play no further part. They've got an

:24:24. > :24:29.extra man, Montenegro. Montenegro with their first bit of control in

:24:30. > :24:40.the second half. Being ushered further back, but that is a side

:24:41. > :24:48.winding strike and Radic as an it again for Montenegro and level it at

:24:49. > :24:57.five. Cross change, the hands were doing a good job, stopping any

:24:58. > :25:02.opportunity in the corridor. Just that the last second, he changes his

:25:03. > :25:08.arm angle, his ninth of the tournament, his third today. --

:25:09. > :25:18.Janovic. This is his third Olympic Games. Having an outstanding

:25:19. > :25:22.tournament. He has got 27 goals. Appeared to go straight over the top

:25:23. > :25:31.of the Centre forward with that steel but the referee let it go. 5-5

:25:32. > :25:38.in the third period. A look here for Montenegro to take the lead. Even

:25:39. > :25:48.numbers in the pool but they are looking to rise up, Italy a bit too

:25:49. > :26:01.complete defensively. The block and the little short pass back, Figlioli

:26:02. > :26:05.with the ball again now. Not only a great swimmer but an incredible

:26:06. > :26:12.shot. Kick out here, so they will have an extra man for 30 seconds of

:26:13. > :26:19.the shot clock. The centre forward is offside but now he moves back

:26:20. > :26:24.out. That's likely. This is Gallo, for Italy. Inside here, the change

:26:25. > :26:32.of direction and it has fallen well for Italy! It just took a deflection

:26:33. > :26:40.off the player in front of him. As soon as a player comes to that

:26:41. > :26:45.position you expect he will shoot but it just takes a horrible

:26:46. > :26:54.deflection off the underside of an arm and in it goes. A horrible

:26:55. > :26:59.moment for goal keeper. It just propels itself into the right-hand

:27:00. > :27:09.side of the gold for the Italians. They make a bit of their own luck,

:27:10. > :27:16.there. They've taken the lead again, they've got an even half dozen. And

:27:17. > :27:28.now Montenegro have their chance to level once again.

:27:29. > :27:51.We have seen Brugljani with his goal...

:27:52. > :27:59.For Tempesti, that is a pretty simple save. Italy can also be

:28:00. > :28:05.dangerous from this range, as you just talk there! They changed the

:28:06. > :28:18.speed and they have left the Montenegrin keeper high and dry,

:28:19. > :28:24.Scepanovic. He will be really disappointed with himself. He was

:28:25. > :28:27.poorly positioned. To get lobbed from there in an Olympic medal

:28:28. > :28:38.match... He will be so disappointed with that. An excellent moment for

:28:39. > :28:44.the Italian. Just so precise and getting the goalkeeper to commit,

:28:45. > :28:51.but for Montenegro they cannot have another ineffective possession. They

:28:52. > :28:55.need to convert into a centre forward position. The extra player

:28:56. > :29:11.and another 30 seconds on the shot clock.

:29:12. > :29:22.It is Brguljan in the centre forward position. They have moved it

:29:23. > :29:32.quickly! Across cage, good goal. Well worked. Just following through,

:29:33. > :29:40.he will get the Taj on it, that is his first goal in this match. His

:29:41. > :29:50.fourth overall. Klikovac. Productive with that possession. -- the touch

:29:51. > :29:55.on it. Now for Italy. They have looked, particularly with that

:29:56. > :30:02.lobbed last time, as if they can score at will. They may well need

:30:03. > :30:12.to! Looking for the backhand. He's been fouled. That will be a kick

:30:13. > :30:21.out. A time-out here. The Italians have called this time-out. With the

:30:22. > :30:22.benefit of the extra player, it is this 2-goal margin that they have

:30:23. > :30:36.been able to establish. They were level in the early stages

:30:37. > :30:40.of this quarter. But again, Italy, with the and balance with the

:30:41. > :31:25.advantage. Gallo is in as well. And Nora is

:31:26. > :31:33.also win, both left-handers. And the Italians are moving around this

:31:34. > :31:37.mushroom shaped offence of information. For a moment this

:31:38. > :31:43.looked to be taken quickly. He is able to find a way. It is Nora. He

:31:44. > :31:48.scored for the Italians, and what kind who executed with the extra

:31:49. > :31:52.player. He has only scored a couple coming into this match, and he

:31:53. > :32:00.skipped it off the head of the keeper. Two goal lead once more.

:32:01. > :32:08.Remember this is for a bronze medal. A long way to go. They brought in an

:32:09. > :32:15.extra man, and they are pulling him back

:32:16. > :32:28.Montenegrin if in the whitecaps, they have an opportunity. They have

:32:29. > :32:48.an And they need it. Too many Italian

:32:49. > :33:01.arms are in the way. They had a quick delivery,... The thing about

:33:02. > :33:06.this is that they all hold on. Two hands down. He is a driver caught

:33:07. > :33:15.out of position. He is not big enough. What about that for a pass?

:33:16. > :33:16.The ball across the head, a pass to the man who is free at the two litre

:33:17. > :33:29.post. A brilliant extra hand. You saw the power and the finish

:33:30. > :33:37.from Misic delivering that strike. That brings them back level. Misic,

:33:38. > :33:49.?240. Here's the Centre for the adoption. They need to be strong

:33:50. > :33:57.defensively. -- 240lb. And other channels for the Italians. They

:33:58. > :34:03.continue to apply the pressure of keeping Montenegro at bay. It is the

:34:04. > :34:07.passing that is the best advantage they have created, and so is the

:34:08. > :34:14.execution. One more time is that that -- it is that man. He has a

:34:15. > :34:23.hat-trick for the match, Gallo for Italy. They have got nine. And he

:34:24. > :34:31.let go of the ball, really cool and calm, and Gallo, the big left-hander

:34:32. > :34:34.drills in his hat-trick. The goalkeeper has been pulled. He had a

:34:35. > :34:47.terrible lob that was scored against. At the other end of the

:34:48. > :34:51.pool, the goalkeeper is out, and the veteran Radic, in his fourth Olympic

:34:52. > :35:17.Games, and he carried the flag for Montenegrin. He will now be hoping

:35:18. > :35:24.to carry his side. -- Montenegro. He is still arguing with the referee.

:35:25. > :35:35.Checkout looked there too as. If you're going to get kicked out,...

:35:36. > :35:38.He will be really disappointed with that. Montenegro calling in their

:35:39. > :35:59.extra man. He will play one more, but no

:36:00. > :36:17.further part. Montenegrothe commentators ar

:36:18. > :36:20.this as an independent nation. It will be wonderful to see them get a

:36:21. > :36:41.bronze. Another player being pulled out

:36:42. > :36:53.here. An attempt from short range. Montenegro look as if they have a

:36:54. > :37:02.chance. The ricochet have recovered. It looks like -- looked like it was

:37:03. > :37:06.on. It was a. You can see how tired he is, when you see the work that

:37:07. > :37:21.goes into trying to front up that shot. Added effort. It almost

:37:22. > :37:27.sneaked under. Only 20 odd seconds left. -- a good effort. That is well

:37:28. > :37:34.weighed. Possibly a little bit of a hurried shot for the Italians. There

:37:35. > :37:38.was still ten seconds on the shot clock, 20 seconds in the period, you

:37:39. > :37:43.would have thought they would have waited out. It is not as if they

:37:44. > :37:46.were awaiting on a nine man. It gives them a chance to get

:37:47. > :38:02.themselves one goal down. They had their moment, it was just

:38:03. > :38:11.not precise enough. It is off the crossbar. He already has a goal in

:38:12. > :38:18.this one, but he needed that. He was very frustrated. Adds to be quarter

:38:19. > :38:32.time, he went for the lob instead of drilling it, and he is regretting

:38:33. > :38:38.it. 9-7 to Italy over Montenegro. The hustle blown just as quick. Will

:38:39. > :38:48.they give advantage or did Italy leave a little too quickly? Jumping

:38:49. > :38:54.just in advance of the hustle, so they were told to sit back. It is

:38:55. > :38:59.just what Montenegro need. They came desperately short with that in the

:39:00. > :39:04.third quarter, and this is the opening stages where they will try

:39:05. > :39:19.to be a little sharper. The benefit of the extra player they have.

:39:20. > :39:34.The dump past did not come. They are in a centre position. He has scored

:39:35. > :39:49.his second goal of the match and is 15th of the tournament. Popped out,

:39:50. > :39:54.then a little push and drive. They are hard to stop from two metres. No

:39:55. > :40:05.matter how good you are a. Precisely. And the slam dunk finish

:40:06. > :40:20.from Brguljan. And Italy convert. We have the assistant coach for

:40:21. > :40:27.Montenegro who has been given a red card, kicked out of the stadium. Can

:40:28. > :40:33.you believe that? What about that for a shot? We have already seen

:40:34. > :40:38.their first keeper allowing a lob, and this is from about ten metres,

:40:39. > :40:44.beautifully done. Look at the top-spin on that ball. He rolled his

:40:45. > :40:51.hand over it, a beautiful top-spin lob. The keeper is frustrated. What

:40:52. > :41:09.a glorious shot. What an enormous amount of spending. His 13th goal

:41:10. > :41:16.for Presciutti. Two team-mates for Italy, the third now for the

:41:17. > :41:19.Italians. That is a heartbreaker, a difficult one to overcome.

:41:20. > :41:27.Montenegro are putting on so much pressure to be perfect in response.

:41:28. > :41:33.Nice work from the centre back, the player who just scored the lob as

:41:34. > :41:36.well. To rub salt in the wounds of the Centre forward, he's sprinting

:41:37. > :41:40.at 1 million miles an hour to make the Centre for the chase all the way

:41:41. > :41:45.back. He's now able to pull up and take the man at the top of the

:41:46. > :41:56.mushroom. -- make the centre forward Chase. That was the top of his head.

:41:57. > :42:08.Man out. As if there was any other result! The Italians look as if they

:42:09. > :42:17.have control. One more. Presciutti has done it a fourth time. Four

:42:18. > :42:20.golds in the bronze medal match. Look at that, straight on his head.

:42:21. > :42:27.As if he could expect there would be any other outcome but to be kicked

:42:28. > :42:31.out. We are told that one of the best places to shoot is above the

:42:32. > :42:40.head of the goalkeeper because they have to get their hands back over

:42:41. > :42:50.their head or take it in the face. It is a great percentage shot. A

:42:51. > :42:55.five metre penalty for Montenegro. As the ball came across he was

:42:56. > :42:56.fouled. A chance to pull one back. They are down by three at the

:42:57. > :43:27.moment. It is Ivovic to take this. It is off

:43:28. > :43:30.the post. Montenegro keep control. If anyone hits the post with the

:43:31. > :43:36.penalty you have to give credit to the goalkeeper. Arms out wide, he

:43:37. > :43:47.had to take every centimetre of that. One too many, and it had the

:43:48. > :43:53.post. Well done to Tempesti. Montenegro have to try to shape

:43:54. > :44:01.something in the last few seconds. Tempesti has seen them off in a

:44:02. > :44:08.couple set up by Montenegro. They just could not be precise enough.

:44:09. > :44:15.When you face a goalkeeper like him you have to get as close to the

:44:16. > :44:20.corner as you can. He gets his hands up so high, marvellous. Hard to

:44:21. > :44:26.blame the players. They turn it over quickly, Italy. They had a chance.

:44:27. > :44:32.It is a turnover file. Tempesti is the only goalkeeper, five times he

:44:33. > :44:37.has appeared at the Olympic Games. This is his swansong. At the moment

:44:38. > :44:43.it looks for Italy like it may be another bronze medal. But there is

:44:44. > :44:51.still time for Montenegro to respond. They have shown resilience

:44:52. > :44:55.and fight back. So many players inside the five metres, that goal

:44:56. > :45:06.does not count, that they are having to use the Italians in centre back

:45:07. > :45:08.at the moment. But they are in a position where they can start to

:45:09. > :45:16.think about closing this down. Another goal should see this out.

:45:17. > :45:25.Three goals, four minutes, you should think they should get five or

:45:26. > :45:29.six possessions, Montenegro. It is not enough if they can make a couple

:45:30. > :45:35.of these count, but they need to score pretty soon.

:45:36. > :45:46.The bronze medal at stake. Italy got silver in London four years ago. The

:45:47. > :45:51.best they can do is a bronze. Tempesti has done enough with the

:45:52. > :45:57.right-hand! That was an extra opportunity. You can't blame him

:45:58. > :46:03.shooting from there. Look at this. Thinks about going across but goes

:46:04. > :46:10.over his head and Tempesti is up to it. There is the idea we have seen

:46:11. > :46:14.executed a couple of times by the Italians, and Montenegro can't make

:46:15. > :46:18.it count from there, it is just off the bar and that again remains the

:46:19. > :46:28.presence of Tempesti and his height, knowing they have to beat him like

:46:29. > :46:31.that. Tempesti has got them rattled. They're shooting has been nowhere

:46:32. > :46:40.near as good as it was earlier in the tournament. The centre forwards

:46:41. > :46:49.are well set. Brguljan will leave the pool. They certainly have one

:46:50. > :47:05.hand on that bronze medal, the Italians. Figlioli. Measured and

:47:06. > :47:11.very patient, this possession from Italy. He has the ability to score

:47:12. > :47:15.from there. Time out, Montenegro. They need to score, no doubt about

:47:16. > :47:28.that. Two minutes and 43 seconds left. They're going to have to play

:47:29. > :47:39.a press after they play their possession. Montenegro must score in

:47:40. > :47:47.this play. Time is ticking, and the last two Olympic Games for

:47:48. > :47:54.Montenegro, they finished fourth. That Silver Medal was as a combined

:47:55. > :48:04.nation. In terms of the players who have experienced this heartbreak,

:48:05. > :48:09.one, two, three, four. Five players that have been to this corresponding

:48:10. > :48:16.game and finished up with fourth place. At the moment, they are in

:48:17. > :48:22.the shadows of the Italians, who looked to be a nod ahead and they do

:48:23. > :48:30.score a ninth goal, Montenegro! And they do it cleanly and quickly.

:48:31. > :48:36.Almost to the surprise of the Italians, that was almost a little

:48:37. > :48:41.bit too easy. Ivovic Has taken that one. They got away with it and that

:48:42. > :48:46.is part of water polo, that is what you have to do. They are down by

:48:47. > :48:50.two, two and a half minutes left to play, they must repel the Italians.

:48:51. > :48:57.The Italians are going to try and milk as much of their shot clock as

:48:58. > :49:03.they can. Good save. Can they come away with it, Montenegro? They just

:49:04. > :49:11.get to the ball first and it forces the foul from the Italians. Here

:49:12. > :49:26.come Montenegro. Is an opportunity right now! That was a smart foul

:49:27. > :49:36.from Figlioli... Oh! He has got his first of the day, Radovic! The

:49:37. > :49:40.Italians have not been able to run away and hide. They have left a

:49:41. > :49:44.couple of windows of opportunity for Montenegro and they have stepped

:49:45. > :49:50.right through it. Good stuff. They're just a goal down now. If we

:49:51. > :49:58.are tied at the end, we go to penalties. A minute and 57 seconds

:49:59. > :50:03.on the clock. The seventh goal for Radovic, and his first of the day

:50:04. > :50:09.couldn't have come at a better time, and now tense moments in the pool as

:50:10. > :50:16.Italy have control. At least two possessions left for these sides.

:50:17. > :50:25.The Italians now know that they need to score, they can't sit on a 3-goal

:50:26. > :50:33.lead any more. They cannot be successful with a hat-trick of lobs,

:50:34. > :50:45.that one just over. Unfortunately for him, Radic has been beaten once.

:50:46. > :50:55.But so has Scepanovic. Youth got a centre forward having to change, the

:50:56. > :51:07.shot was an lucky, I thought unlucky not to get a call for the setting

:51:08. > :51:11.position. Is that the save for Tempesti and Italy? I don't reckon!

:51:12. > :51:15.I reckon there's more to come. 12 seconds on the shot clock, 43

:51:16. > :51:21.seconds left in the match. They have to get one more possession, unless

:51:22. > :51:26.they can force a save here. From distance! The Italians have scored

:51:27. > :51:33.again! A devastating strike and you can hardly believe it. 12 metres

:51:34. > :51:42.out, he was going for the Hail Mary, hoping to force a save but he has

:51:43. > :51:46.gone middle of the net. At the bounce shot from 12 metres. There it

:51:47. > :51:52.goes, it took a deflection off the post and in, and Radic can't believe

:51:53. > :51:58.it, it took the slightest deflection. And is that the hammer

:51:59. > :52:03.blow from the Italians? There's only 35 seconds left! A 2-goal lead,

:52:04. > :52:05.Montenegro would have to do something horrendous with their next

:52:06. > :52:12.possession, even if they give up a goal here. 30 seconds with the ball

:52:13. > :52:20.will be more than what is left on the match clock. Montenegro against

:52:21. > :52:29.the ticking time. They win it back, Italy. Tempesti get enough of a

:52:30. > :52:33.touch on it and it comes back off the crossbar. Suggesting they were

:52:34. > :52:39.innocent in the attempt to recover that ball, and there has now been

:52:40. > :52:44.the use of a time-out by Italy, and with 16 seconds it's just about

:52:45. > :52:48.making sure your stand understands how to manage this ball. All you

:52:49. > :52:52.have to do is run down the clock. That's what this time-out is about.

:52:53. > :52:57.Making sure they settle down and no one has a brain snap. We've got a

:52:58. > :53:05.player that is out, as well. Number two, Montenegro, Brguljan. This is

:53:06. > :53:13.all about making sure you keep possession and pass it around and

:53:14. > :53:20.don't do anything crazy. Difficult for the team members poolside

:53:21. > :53:25.watching. They are all standing and hugging at the moment. But remember,

:53:26. > :53:31.the great thing from them is that they have got an extra player, so

:53:32. > :53:35.it's impossible for Montenegro... It's impossible to force a mistake

:53:36. > :53:42.because they have got the extra player. It would take an act of

:53:43. > :53:47.lunacy for Montenegro to win this game. And they've taken it, the

:53:48. > :53:56.bronze medal, the Italians. Great effort.

:53:57. > :54:03.They led early, the Italians. They opened up with those two early

:54:04. > :54:06.goals, putting the pressure on in that opening quarter and Montenegro

:54:07. > :54:12.scored one as well and they both take three in that second quarter,

:54:13. > :54:14.but there is the final, Tempesti gets the opportunity to release the

:54:15. > :54:22.emotions from the journey that he has been on. Since Sydney 2000 he

:54:23. > :54:29.has been a part of this Italian men's team and he will take bronze

:54:30. > :54:35.in his last Olympic participation. 12-10, and we look at the moments of

:54:36. > :54:40.elation for Italy. A privilege to see Tempesti played. He's just a

:54:41. > :54:46.marvellous, marvellous ambassador for the sport. He is a showman as

:54:47. > :54:53.well. He knows what it's like to get an Olympic medal. He has silver

:54:54. > :54:58.medals himself. Devastation, as you say, for Montenegro. Three Olympics

:54:59. > :55:04.in a row they have been beaten in this match, beaten in the play-off

:55:05. > :55:10.for bronze or fourth. So, they get their place on the podium. They will

:55:11. > :55:15.be joined by Serbia or Croatia. Their final to be decided later on

:55:16. > :55:17.tonight. Welcome back to the Olympic Park. A few British fans behind us

:55:18. > :55:18.and
