:00:20. > :00:25.Welcome back to coverage of the fourth day of the Olympic Games here

:00:26. > :00:30.in Rio. Straight back to the white water stadium for the men's C 1

:00:31. > :00:33.final. David Florence of Great Britain sadly, mistakes for him on

:00:34. > :00:44.his run means he will not challenge for a medal.

:00:45. > :00:48.Takuya Haneda of Japan. He may be aware of what has happened on the

:00:49. > :00:52.course. He will have heard the reaction from the crowd and there

:00:53. > :00:56.are a huge number of British fans in the crowd today, which is great to

:00:57. > :01:02.see. Such a commitment to come out to Rio. David flourns has family --

:01:03. > :01:08.Florence has family and friends here. Jo Clark will have as well.

:01:09. > :01:12.Fiona Penny. We have more opportunities. We qualified four

:01:13. > :01:17.boats. It's not all over. Florence, I guess in the C 1 was the biggest

:01:18. > :01:20.chance. Absolutely. Coming into it as world champion, you would say

:01:21. > :01:26.that he was. He has an Olympic Silver Medal as well. Olympic

:01:27. > :01:29.competition is Olympic competition. Other competitors are equally

:01:30. > :01:50.capable of getting medals. David could be out there in two days

:01:51. > :01:58.with Richard Hounslow as well. He's in a position to make the

:01:59. > :02:03.podium here. He's leading the way. There's the first mistake. A bit low

:02:04. > :02:07.on 20. Battles his way back into the biggest white water on this course

:02:08. > :02:14.here. This is where you've got to stay strong. This is where all the

:02:15. > :02:22.hours of training pay off. The time is still good. I'm not sure if he

:02:23. > :02:28.will match Benus. On he goes, driving for the line now. Japan's

:02:29. > :02:35.Takuya Haneda records a time of 97. 44. That puts him into Silver Medal

:02:36. > :02:42.position ahead of Casey Eichfeld with Matej Benus leading the way.

:02:43. > :02:47.Haneda putting in a good performance, but maybe just doesn't

:02:48. > :02:51.have that raw speed that Benus has. He did a really good performance. He

:02:52. > :03:00.was tight around the poles but doesn't have the same finesse.

:03:01. > :03:07.Haneda taking a nice exit there. He drives back across the course from

:03:08. > :03:12.gate 20 to 21. A big stopper, they want to keep their boats as dry as

:03:13. > :03:18.they can. He's an exciting paddler. It's nice when Japan don't have that

:03:19. > :03:23.many paddlers, but Haneda's success is quite phenomenal. So often he

:03:24. > :03:29.makes the finals of the major Championships. He's done it here. Is

:03:30. > :03:37.he going away with a medal? The big names are still to come. Waiting for

:03:38. > :03:47.the next paddler down Mekonnen Gebremedhin. He was the first --

:03:48. > :03:51.Vitezslav Gebas. Plenty of fans here from Prague, where he's from. 31

:03:52. > :03:59.years old. He's been on the scene for a long, long time.

:04:00. > :04:14.Vitezslav This is where you set up the line. A

:04:15. > :04:17.quick whip around. Tricky line out on the changeable stopper, ducking

:04:18. > :04:21.under the pole. We want to see as direct line as possible. Watch the

:04:22. > :04:27.split. Not sure he can match it. He can't. Those stoppers just after

:04:28. > :04:30.seven, two stoppers in a row, both getting the better of him. Valuable

:04:31. > :04:36.time going missing. No penalties as yet. Really looks as though he's

:04:37. > :04:40.chasing Haneda's time of 97. 44. Nice track through the stopper

:04:41. > :04:45.there, rolling off the back, using the boat edges very nicely. A long

:04:46. > :04:52.cross into 17. This is where they set themselves up for the spin move

:04:53. > :04:59.on gate 19. Battling across for the big drop. He dropped 2. 3 in the

:05:00. > :05:02.first seven, eight gates. He's held his own in the mid-section of the

:05:03. > :05:08.course. If he gets stronger from here, he might be able to secure

:05:09. > :05:15.second place. A margin of 2. 42 between first and second in the

:05:16. > :05:20.finish at the moment. Good move from Gebas. The blade driving deep,

:05:21. > :05:23.pulling hard, keeping is perpendicular to the water to

:05:24. > :05:28.maximise the effect of the paddle stroke. Drives to the line. Just

:05:29. > :05:41.misses out on second place. Fractions between him and han

:05:42. > :05:44.havenlt -- Haneda. You see him working very hard towards the end of

:05:45. > :05:47.that runner. Quicker than his semifinal. He should be pleased. I'm

:05:48. > :05:59.not sure if he will be in the medals. Four boats to go. It will be

:06:00. > :06:03.very tight. Savsek, Elosegi, Tasiadis, those are four of the

:06:04. > :06:07.biggest names in the game. Slovenia, France, Spain and Germany

:06:08. > :06:11.represented. But it's Slovakia that they're trying to knock off top

:06:12. > :06:14.spot. The Slovakians, who've had two gold medals in this discipline,

:06:15. > :06:34.first in 1996 and again in 2008. It's only the eighth time that canoe

:06:35. > :06:43.slalom has been in the Olympic Games. Started in '72. Germany have

:06:44. > :06:46.had one gold in '72 in Munich. If you are a fan, it's worth googling

:06:47. > :06:50.that event, because the change in the sport since then is quite

:06:51. > :06:55.phenomenal. The size of the boats or the volume of the boats has begun

:06:56. > :06:58.down by about a quarter or a third. The approach, it was all about

:06:59. > :07:02.staying clean in those days. Nowadays you have to take risks.

:07:03. > :07:07.Have you to risk losing if you want to win. This is a man who likes to

:07:08. > :07:12.be ahead of the game. He likes to get his boat positioned so he can

:07:13. > :07:16.drive through. You see him there prime example what have he likes to

:07:17. > :07:22.be in. It's looking good. Again getting ahead of it, a little twitch

:07:23. > :07:29.on the back, really using their blade to steer it in. Yesterday we

:07:30. > :07:34.wouldn't have got too excited bay margin of -- by a margin of 0. 88.

:07:35. > :07:39.But this is going to be a tight race. 0. 88 good enough for a medal

:07:40. > :07:46.at the moment. We will get another split in a few gates. Looking for a

:07:47. > :07:53.time of around 83 seconds, just under. Two penalties added and

:07:54. > :07:58.Benjamin Savsek, he's good, he's fast. Four penalty seconds added

:07:59. > :08:02.now. I'm afraid that's his chance of taking top spot gone. He'll be

:08:03. > :08:09.fortunate if he can make a podium position. He's three seconds at

:08:10. > :08:13.least outside the best. Often produces the fastest time on the

:08:14. > :08:21.course, but with four penalties even Benjamin Savsek can't make up for

:08:22. > :08:24.that. Matej Benus of Slovakia will be

:08:25. > :08:31.getting more and more excited but more and more nervous as this race

:08:32. > :08:36.goes on. There are just three to go - France with Denis Gargaud Chanut,

:08:37. > :08:39.Spain with Ander Elosegi - there's a man who's finished fourth in two

:08:40. > :08:45.successive Olympics. Will he come away with gold? If he comes away

:08:46. > :08:48.with any medal he'll be tape and Sideris Tasiadis, who was in a class

:08:49. > :08:52.of his own in the semifinal. He certainly was. He won that semifinal

:08:53. > :09:03.by a couple of seconds, looking superb. It will be very interesting

:09:04. > :09:09.to see can Elosegi get into that podium position? Great shots and

:09:10. > :09:13.great tension, particularly in the waiting pool at the top of the run.

:09:14. > :09:21.242 metres, the length of this course. Water piling down the run

:09:22. > :09:25.every second, 12 tons of water a second going past the gate. It's

:09:26. > :09:30.difficult to quite understand the power until they get it wrong. In

:09:31. > :09:33.the demos last night, one or two got it wrong. You realise how much

:09:34. > :09:38.control the water takes of the paddler when that happens. You saw

:09:39. > :09:41.them washed away. We saw it in the heats, when something went wrong.

:09:42. > :09:48.You caught the edge, that's it you're down the river before you

:09:49. > :09:54.know it. This is Gargaud Chanut of France. Nice and clean. The world

:09:55. > :09:58.champion from way back in 2011. Hasn't had much success at Majors

:09:59. > :10:03.since then. Not looking quite as steady off the start. I think he

:10:04. > :10:07.needs to find his rhythm, get the boat tracking down stream. He likes

:10:08. > :10:12.the long strokes. He's called the acrobat of the water in the French

:10:13. > :10:17.team. He really dances with it. Beautiful through seven. He's maybe

:10:18. > :10:23.just outside the leading time. Won't be much in it. In fact just inside.

:10:24. > :10:30.You said you thought this was going to be won by a smooth descent rather

:10:31. > :10:33.than aggressive, powerful one. Gargaud Chanut renowned for using

:10:34. > :10:37.the water well. He looks as though he's not working hard. He's less

:10:38. > :10:40.aggressive, but he has this long stroke. But they're so precise. He

:10:41. > :10:46.uses the strokes well. Watch him when he drops down to gate 19. Watch

:10:47. > :10:50.how he jumps off the drop-off. There goes 18. Now breaking to the right.

:10:51. > :10:54.This is the drop-off. Times his stroke well. Spins. That's about as

:10:55. > :11:01.good as we've seen so far. It's going to be competitive from the

:11:02. > :11:06.Frenchman. Needs 82, 83 through gate 22. He was up on the last split. He

:11:07. > :11:13.hasn't given anything away. He needs to spin on the spo. -- spot. He

:11:14. > :11:17.needs the final line. He lifts the bow over the stopper there in the

:11:18. > :11:25.final stopper on the course and drive. Looking for the time - I

:11:26. > :11:30.think he's inside. He is! Slovakia demoted to second and France with

:11:31. > :11:35.Denis Gargaud Chanut the world champion from 2011, is in a position

:11:36. > :11:40.to take the Olympic title in 2016. Only two men still to come.

:11:41. > :11:44.Both of them world-class paddlers. Both of them on the lips of those

:11:45. > :11:49.discussing the possible winners. Gargaud Chanut can't celebrate quite

:11:50. > :11:53.yet, but he's put in a - not a perfect run, but it was smooth at

:11:54. > :11:58.the top. Unbelievable how he found so much time from the semifinals to

:11:59. > :12:02.the finals. He was just, the top bit actually wasn't as good as the first

:12:03. > :12:06.run. Then he picked it up from about gate five. He was really in his

:12:07. > :12:11.rhythm, really in his flow. On top of the water, using it. He made the

:12:12. > :12:16.staggers between eight, nine, ten, 11, 12, 13, #14, 15, look like they

:12:17. > :12:22.weren't there. He used every inch of water. That's very deceptive on this

:12:23. > :12:26.course. That's where the time is being gained. That is what Benus and

:12:27. > :12:30.Gargaud Chanut are good at. They use the water beautifully. It will show

:12:31. > :12:37.that is what is winning the race at the moment. We've not seen much of

:12:38. > :12:40.Gargaud Chanut. He got second in the second of the three world cups that

:12:41. > :12:43.have been held. Here's a man who hasn't made the top ten of a World

:12:44. > :12:48.Cup is far this year. He's the number one Spaniard. He has a great

:12:49. > :12:51.record from Lee Valley, having got fourth in the Olympics. He took

:12:52. > :12:57.fourth in Beijing as well. Is he going to be able to change his

:12:58. > :13:00.fortunes? Will he get a medal? Looking for a time, well a two

:13:01. > :13:04.second penalty is about the worst possible thing. It's come on gate

:13:05. > :13:08.number four. I can't think of anyone else who's made a mistake on that

:13:09. > :13:15.gate. Nicely into gate seven, so far. This is the changeable bit of

:13:16. > :13:22.water, though. He wants to eliminate that stagger as much as possible.

:13:23. > :13:26.He's outside the leading time. Remember, he has a two second

:13:27. > :13:30.penalty. He has a faster course time than the race leaders. The penalty

:13:31. > :13:35.coming at one, that's just been changed. Gate number one and well,

:13:36. > :13:40.he can only wrap himself on the knuckles for that. He has to change

:13:41. > :13:44.his approach, no doubt about it. Fastest gate 17 we've seen so far.

:13:45. > :13:54.Where's he going to far E.On the split? Fare on the split? We will

:13:55. > :13:58.still see him in the middle positions if he can take another

:13:59. > :14:02.second-and-a-half off his time. He could challenge for second. Matej

:14:03. > :14:06.Benus of Slovakia in second at the moment. For Elosegi, don't tell me

:14:07. > :14:10.he's going to finish in fourth for the third time in succession? They

:14:11. > :14:14.ought to make a medal for him. I don't know what you'd make it out

:14:15. > :14:23.of. You've got to feel for the man if that is what happens. He's got

:14:24. > :14:27.one gate and 25 metres to go. Elosegi in the end, a disappointing

:14:28. > :14:33.finish and it all went wrong on gate number one. Generous applause from

:14:34. > :14:39.the crowd. The Olympic dream has not materialised for the Spaniard.

:14:40. > :14:45.Picking up that first penalty point here right at the top of the course,

:14:46. > :14:51.oh, just cutting it too tight on the inside pole. Very difficult for us

:14:52. > :14:56.to see. Another penalty at gate 19. We haven't seen so many penalties.

:14:57. > :15:12.More penalties in this final than in the semifinal. Spain's chance of Med

:15:13. > :15:17.ago now with the women. -- medaling. She had a scare in the heats

:15:18. > :15:21.yesterday. We see the women's K 1 not tomorrow but the next day.

:15:22. > :15:26.Tomorrow is all about K 1, Joe Clarke going for Great Britain in

:15:27. > :15:31.that event. From what we saw on the second run, he has the potential to

:15:32. > :15:34.win. And he has the potential to pick up plenty of 50s. Let's hope it

:15:35. > :15:45.goes well for him. One man to go here.

:15:46. > :15:50.Tasiadis, who was absolutely outstanding on the first run. Almost

:15:51. > :16:00.two and a half seconds quicker than anyone else, safely through gate one

:16:01. > :16:03.where Elosegi put himself out of the running, effectively. This has been

:16:04. > :16:08.a really good running for the top part of the course. He needs around

:16:09. > :16:14.22. If he is under 22, that is great news. If he's over 22, he has a lot

:16:15. > :16:19.of work to do. 22 exactly, he is on course. Then he gets a little stuck

:16:20. > :16:26.in those two stoppers. The fastest was recorded by gargantuan new

:16:27. > :16:35.friends. He is 1.8 outside Gargaud Chanut. You can only guess how he

:16:36. > :16:40.feels at the moment. He may only be some 35 seconds away from Olympic

:16:41. > :16:45.gold. We don't forget, Tasiadis was unbelievable on the first run. Two

:16:46. > :16:49.penalty seconds. From what we've seen, that's an indication that the

:16:50. > :16:56.gold is not going his way. A penalty on gate nine will be very costly.

:16:57. > :17:02.2.33 down on the split. He will have too nailed this spin. You want to

:17:03. > :17:09.get the push-up. Slow and wide, having to duck in that poll. This

:17:10. > :17:14.will not be that quick. His approach into the next one was not that quick

:17:15. > :17:19.either. This might just be good enough or bronze medal position. Her

:17:20. > :17:23.nadir of Japan is lying in bronze at the moment. -- Takuya Haneda of

:17:24. > :17:30.Japan is lying in bronze position at the moment. Will Tanika Haneda be

:17:31. > :17:36.pushed down? It's close, 3.73. Tasiadis who won the semifinal goes

:17:37. > :17:42.down into fifth position, and Denis Gargaud Chanut of France is the

:17:43. > :17:46.Olympic winner. You cannot say he doesn't deserve it. He's been an

:17:47. > :17:52.outstanding Pablo over the years, very consistent. Of course, he was

:17:53. > :17:57.the World Champion back in 2011. -- outstanding paddler. That has now

:17:58. > :18:00.been trumped as he takes the Olympic title here in Rio. So many changes

:18:01. > :18:14.from that first run. You have to feel for Tasiadis,

:18:15. > :18:19.Helen. A lot of expectation. We were chatting about the ideal position to

:18:20. > :18:22.start the last run. We actually said Gargaud Chanut would be denied he

:18:23. > :18:27.will be the third from last to go. He hasn't got the pressure that

:18:28. > :18:32.Tasiadis has by going last. Absolutely, and that does count for

:18:33. > :18:35.an awful lot. Plus Tasiadis did a good semifinal run and it's always

:18:36. > :18:39.harder to replicate something than it is to improve on something. He

:18:40. > :18:43.was always in the toughest position and his time for the semifinal run

:18:44. > :18:49.would have put him in bronze today. It probably is extremely

:18:50. > :18:53.frustrating. What I find interesting about Gargaud Chanut and Benus, they

:18:54. > :18:57.were very delicate. They really used the water and that is what one

:18:58. > :19:01.today. Compared to the semifinals where it seemed to be more about

:19:02. > :19:06.brute force and making sure you were working on top of the water, having

:19:07. > :19:09.to work very hard, today was very much a part of working with the

:19:10. > :19:15.water, getting ahead of the game and ironing out those staggers. Let's

:19:16. > :19:25.have a look at the standings. Takuya Haneda gets Japan's first C1 medal

:19:26. > :19:30.in bronze position. Slovakia, six Olympics in a row they have taken a

:19:31. > :19:37.medal in this position. Denis Gargaud Chanut is now the first

:19:38. > :19:42.Frenchman to claim the title. Now, Denis Gargaud Chanut is going to be

:19:43. > :19:47.the man they talk about. He takes Olympic gold hero Deodoro.

:19:48. > :19:53.And that is not just France's second gold medal of the games, it is the

:19:54. > :19:57.second gold medal of the day because they won the team eventing. Let's

:19:58. > :20:03.had to Matthew Pinsent. For David Florence finishing last in the

:20:04. > :20:08.final, desperately disappointing. It just shows everyone at home how

:20:09. > :20:13.these tiny margins are involved in canoe slalom. If you miss one, clip

:20:14. > :20:19.pawn, make one tiny mistake get the wrong position on the flow, it's all

:20:20. > :20:24.over. -- clip warden. He will know better than anyone what went wrong,

:20:25. > :20:29.but you have to feel for him. This was one of the main aims for him, to

:20:30. > :20:33.come to Rio Andy two events. He still has the C2 too, so we are

:20:34. > :20:38.still holding a flame to him and his medal chances in Rio. What is the

:20:39. > :20:46.overall reaction to that course? You did look incredibly tough. Everyone

:20:47. > :20:50.is keen that it's fair. Absolutely, there's been no chat about it being

:20:51. > :20:54.anything other than a top quality course. It was changed last night at

:20:55. > :20:59.the request of some of the coaches. I think the British were involved in

:21:00. > :21:05.that decision as well. There's no conspiracy about the course, it was

:21:06. > :21:08.absolutely fair. Canoe slalom is a fantastic sport. There have been

:21:09. > :21:14.some empty seats here at Deodoro, like with all the venues across Rio.

:21:15. > :21:21.It was a completely fair competition and I'm sure David, who is standing

:21:22. > :21:26.next to me, will attest to that when we get to talk to him. Talk to him

:21:27. > :21:30.now if you want to, if he's right there. We are desperate to, but the

:21:31. > :21:36.politics of the are in such that other people go first. You will have

:21:37. > :21:42.to just bear with us while he needs other media requirements, but here

:21:43. > :21:45.he is, right on cue. Please don't swear, you're on live television,

:21:46. > :21:52.because you may feel like swearing after that performance. It wasn't my

:21:53. > :21:55.best, I'm a bit disappointed. Was there anything particular that you

:21:56. > :22:02.can put your finger on, or is it too soon? Obviously, it went

:22:03. > :22:06.catastrophically wrong with that one move at gate eight or nine, whatever

:22:07. > :22:12.it was. I wasn't really any recovering from there. I don't know.

:22:13. > :22:15.People at home might have seen it, but a little testament to the sport

:22:16. > :22:20.that you sat at the bottom, applauded everybody as they came

:22:21. > :22:25.down. I saw you said sorry to the German who was leading between the

:22:26. > :22:31.last run because he hadn't converted his transceiver. I'm most

:22:32. > :22:35.disappointed, sometimes you put in a great run a new finish fourth or

:22:36. > :22:40.fifth in you think, if only. But oh well, I made a good effort. I just

:22:41. > :22:44.didn't really get it right today which is disappointing. A lot of

:22:45. > :22:48.these guys are my friends and it's a shame when I see someone else we

:22:49. > :22:56.doesn't go right for them. Does the shop in your appetite for the C2? --

:22:57. > :23:00.sharpen your appetite. Not really, I don't think anything changes. I'm

:23:01. > :23:05.used to competing in both. I will give my all to the C2 whether I had

:23:06. > :23:09.one before finish last. I'm very fortunate that I have another chance

:23:10. > :23:15.stopped a lots of top guys that don't have that. I'm lucky that my

:23:16. > :23:20.Olympics isn't over just yet. Not over, but we will be here to see it

:23:21. > :23:25.through to its completion. Weldon, Matthew, for managing to get

:23:26. > :23:29.a word with David Florence. I'm sorry, I didn't realise he was in

:23:30. > :23:35.the middle of an interview. When is the C2 with Richard Hounslow? In 48

:23:36. > :23:40.hours' time. They qualified through so we will expect to see them there.

:23:41. > :23:45.The same format, a semifinal and then a final. The same format

:23:46. > :23:51.applies, one mistake, one to second penalty or miss a gate and it can be

:23:52. > :23:55.all over. As it was indeed today for David Florence. Thank you to David

:23:56. > :24:01.and our commentary team. More canoe slalom still to come with the C2

:24:02. > :24:05.coming up in 48 hours. As you can tell, so many sports going on all of

:24:06. > :24:06.the same time. Here on the BBC were trying to give you the chance to

:24:07. > :24:17.watch them all. To help you make even more of your

:24:18. > :24:21.review 2016 Olympic Games from boxing to badminton, hockey to

:24:22. > :24:26.handball, we have it all covered right here on the BBC. As well as

:24:27. > :24:31.coverage on BBC One, BBC Four and BBC Radio 5live, you can access up

:24:32. > :24:38.to 24 sports on the BBC website or by the app. The very best of these

:24:39. > :24:42.will be available on the Red Button by satellite, cable or free view,

:24:43. > :24:46.depending on your set-top box, or your TV receiver. If that's not

:24:47. > :24:50.enough, you can download the BBC sport app where you can set up news

:24:51. > :24:54.and alerts and live event reminders so you can follow all your favourite

:24:55. > :24:58.sports. And of course if you want to be

:24:59. > :25:03.inspired to follow a sport you could do that, or volunteer. These two

:25:04. > :25:07.alongside me were both volunteers at London 2012 and you are regaining

:25:08. > :25:11.here. We are in the rowing this time. We've got a day off so we

:25:12. > :25:16.thought we'd come to the park and see everything. We just went to see

:25:17. > :25:22.some fencing. It's been great. You didn't know each other before

:25:23. > :25:25.London. What happened? What happened was we were both volunteers at the

:25:26. > :25:30.Aquatic Centre. We saw each other there, we fell in love and the rest

:25:31. > :25:35.is history. We hear again in video. We're trying to make this a

:25:36. > :25:41.tradition. -- we are here again in Rio. In terms of the work, is it all

:25:42. > :25:48.going smoothly? It's all going great. We are looking after the VIPs

:25:49. > :25:51.coming into the rowing. There was a slight issue with neighbouring the

:25:52. > :25:59.other day, but it's all coming back on track now. Would you volunteer at

:26:00. > :26:02.another games? We have signed up for career at the Winter Olympics, and

:26:03. > :26:06.we are also looking forward to Tokyo even though that is a bit early.

:26:07. > :26:09.That is a love story of volunteering. If you love

:26:10. > :26:11.gymnastics, that is what's coming your way very soon.

:26:12. > :26:22.I love gymnastics because... It requires so much dedication, so

:26:23. > :26:28.much attention to detail. So much commitment at a young age. It's all

:26:29. > :26:34.about faster, higher, stronger. Can you be the best in the world?

:26:35. > :26:37.Everything, the ultimate sports. Gymnastics is so difficult, you

:26:38. > :26:44.can't just jump on the floor and do a double backflip. You have to be

:26:45. > :26:47.absolutely precise. You have to do a backflip, then a double twist into

:26:48. > :26:52.that, then you're getting impressive. It's a great feeling

:26:53. > :26:57.when you push through with a team. A great feeling.

:26:58. > :27:01.The men's team just missed out on a medal yesterday. They just finished

:27:02. > :27:06.out of the bronze medal position. Could the women do it today? Beth

:27:07. > :27:12.Tweddle is there at the Olympic Arena. Give us a realistic

:27:13. > :27:15.assessment. We had a mixed in the qualification. There were a few

:27:16. > :27:19.falls. Hopefully we can iron them out today. But realistically we are

:27:20. > :27:24.top five in the world. We could sneak a bronze today. You know all

:27:25. > :27:30.of these goals, you competed with them. The Downie sisters, Amy

:27:31. > :27:34.Tinkler, Ruby Harrold, Claudia Fragapane E. What are they like in

:27:35. > :27:39.their strengths? The differences they really bonded together. You've

:27:40. > :27:43.got a lot of characters within a team but it all just seems to really

:27:44. > :27:52.work really well. Ruby has taken on the lead of becoming the team

:27:53. > :27:57.captain. You can hear the noise now, apologies. Together they work well

:27:58. > :28:03.with each other and they rallied around if somebody makes a mistake.

:28:04. > :28:07.The USA are obviously hot favourites here for gold and they're led by

:28:08. > :28:13.Simone Biles. Are you excited to see them? Yes, the US they were ten

:28:14. > :28:18.marks ahead in the qualification. To be honest, they're going to walk

:28:19. > :28:22.that gold barring an injury. The real battle will be for that silver

:28:23. > :28:27.and bronze. There are four or five teams that could take those two

:28:28. > :28:32.medals. It looks a fabulous arena. Have you got a decent crowd? The

:28:33. > :28:38.crowd is really good. It usually starts off a little bit less. By the

:28:39. > :28:42.end of it, it gets even. Also we have the Brazilian girls. Thus my's

:28:43. > :28:49.atmosphere was incredible. I'm expecting the same tonight. What

:28:50. > :28:52.order will they be going on? The British girls. Bombards which is one

:28:53. > :28:57.of our strongest pieces. Then we will finish over on the vault, which

:28:58. > :29:06.usually is a great piece to finish on. -- the British girls will start

:29:07. > :29:10.off on bars. Thank you, and we will be joining the team over on BBC One

:29:11. > :29:14.shortly. That lady over there with the hat is called Mari and she is

:29:15. > :29:18.working with the Cook Islands team having met them at the Commonwealth

:29:19. > :29:21.Games in Glasgow. She decided to stick with them as they decided to

:29:22. > :29:25.try to meet their first Olympic medal. It is wonderful, the

:29:26. > :29:28.characters you meet. Join us again on BBC One.
