:00:08. > :00:13.Last Saturday was the most remarkable moment in track and

:00:13. > :00:18.field history. The man who made a great moment the greatest will be

:00:18. > :00:28.hoping to make it a Saturday special, too. Can Mo Farah do it

:00:28. > :00:28.

:00:28. > :01:50.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 81 seconds

:01:50. > :02:00.It is not just Mo Farah that we will be cheering tonight. Guess who

:02:00. > :02:26.

:02:26. > :02:32.So much to look forward to, or what should be a very special evening.

:02:32. > :02:38.Mo Farah wore the trousers over 10,000 metres. He lines up in the

:02:38. > :02:41.5,000, vying to become the 7th man to clinch the long-distance double.

:02:42. > :02:46.Surely few would disagree with Usain Bolt's opinion that he is now

:02:46. > :02:51.a legend. The man with the Midas touch goes for his third gold of

:02:51. > :02:56.these games in the sprint relay. The second fastest man in history,

:02:56. > :03:01.Tyson Gay, heads the USA's challenge. They won their heat

:03:02. > :03:05.without him in the 4th fastest time in history. Great Britain's final

:03:05. > :03:10.shot at a medal in the Olympic Stadium rests with the women's

:03:10. > :03:16.4x400 metres relay team, led by individuals severe, Delestre

:03:16. > :03:23.Christine Ohuruogu. -- individual silver medallist. And Caster

:03:23. > :03:25.Semenya looked supreme to qualify quickest for the final.

:03:25. > :03:35.It is a pretty packed timetable It is a pretty packed timetable

:03:35. > :03:49.

:03:49. > :03:59.Post athletics, we will have boxing, diving with Tom Daley and the men's

:03:59. > :04:06.

:04:06. > :04:13.Plenty of sport elsewhere, which you can watch courtesy of the red

:04:13. > :04:18.button and online. The boxing finals will be on there as well.

:04:18. > :04:22.Another golden day for Team GB, can Mo add to it? Let's join John

:04:22. > :04:27.Inverdale. It is cooler and blustery but we

:04:27. > :04:31.have another full house. That makes this the best supported athletics

:04:31. > :04:36.event ever. 1.2 million people have been in the stadium since eight

:04:36. > :04:40.days ago. A week is a long time in politics, an awful long time in

:04:40. > :04:47.athletics. This time last week, three gold medals in 44 minutes.

:04:47. > :04:51.Not a single one in 186 hours since, so Britain needs mode badly.

:04:51. > :04:57.Michael, Brendan and Denise are here. Brendan, how difficult will

:04:57. > :05:01.it be for him to double up? I think it will be tough. I am really

:05:01. > :05:05.nervous, especially when I saw the women's 5,000 metres last night.

:05:05. > :05:08.Tirunesh Dibaba was a clear favourite for the race and she was

:05:08. > :05:14.complaining about the stiffness of the track and the tension of the

:05:14. > :05:18.track. It is extremely hard. Mo has been through the 10,000, in and

:05:18. > :05:23.around the 5,000. I think it will be tough. If they took him out of

:05:23. > :05:26.the race, it would be wide open, you would not know who would win it.

:05:26. > :05:33.Hopefully if the tactics come right, we will have an interesting race. I

:05:33. > :05:38.do think he can win, but I think it will be extremely tough. If you are

:05:38. > :05:43.at the man to beat, as Mo is denied, how does that affect how everybody

:05:44. > :05:48.else runs? If you are the man who is outstanding, it will be

:05:48. > :05:53.extremely difficult to beat you, then I think it has an effect,

:05:53. > :05:57.people are frightened, they don't carry out their own race plan. Mo

:05:57. > :06:01.won his first gold medal the other night and he is looking to win his

:06:01. > :06:05.second one, then they are not sure if he is a great, great champion or

:06:05. > :06:11.just a great champion. We will find out tonight, and I think you might

:06:11. > :06:15.be a great, great champion. Michael, your thoughts. I agree, it will be

:06:15. > :06:22.difficult. Just like those competitors, we don't really know

:06:22. > :06:26.where Mo is, if he is still fatigued from the 10,000. The semi-

:06:26. > :06:31.final heat, he did not run great, he complained about being sought.

:06:31. > :06:34.He has had a few days to get himself together. We also know he

:06:34. > :06:38.is an Olympic champion, the world champion at 5,000. He has a

:06:38. > :06:42.tremendous amount of confidence that he didn't have before. All of

:06:42. > :06:48.those things playing to it. It makes it a bit difficult to know

:06:48. > :06:53.what to expect. Those family and friends you saw there in the stand.

:06:53. > :07:01.Having won won gold Balogh, I am not saying that tonight is of less

:07:01. > :07:07.importance -- having won one gold medal. Does it make it easier?

:07:07. > :07:12.don't think any 5,000 metres race is easy but it gives him a

:07:12. > :07:19.psychological advantage over his competitors. I think they fear him,

:07:19. > :07:25.because they don't know what he can do or how fast he can really go.

:07:25. > :07:32.His legs might be heavy, but I am really hoping he can rise above it

:07:32. > :07:42.and use this fantastic energy. don't underestimate how hard this

:07:42. > :07:45.

:07:45. > :07:49.is to do. It was done in 1956. The great champions have done it and Mo

:07:49. > :07:55.would be joining a very elite bunch. It is a very elite bunch. It would

:07:55. > :07:59.be wonderful if Mo Farah could join that bunch of athletes. It is a

:07:59. > :08:05.title which has been won on more occasions than other doubles. We

:08:05. > :08:09.have only had one British man when a double in the Olympic Games, that

:08:09. > :08:14.was in 1920 in the 800, and 1500. Kelly Holmes did it in 2004. It

:08:14. > :08:22.would be great to have a man in that same league. Every Saturday we

:08:22. > :08:26.come here, Mo wins a gold medal. are going to let you go. Brendan

:08:26. > :08:31.will be describing the race for us. There is a lot more happening. Not

:08:31. > :08:37.least, the end of the evening. Don't think you can leave after

:08:37. > :08:47.Mo's rays. The final event of the entire programme will be the fall

:08:47. > :08:47.

:08:47. > :08:52.by 400 relay. -- the 4x400 relay. Michael, how much will it be USA

:08:52. > :08:58.watching Jamaica, and vice versa, or going for it, and so the risk of

:08:58. > :09:08.the batten going down, who knows what can happen? A big part of the

:09:08. > :09:13.relay is the batten exchange. -- I think the US has had enough of

:09:13. > :09:18.dropping the baton. I am hoping we are going to be in for a really

:09:18. > :09:25.good race. It could be a tight race between the US and Jamaica. They

:09:26. > :09:31.will be watching one another. 9:00pm tonight, your clock setting

:09:31. > :09:37.moment for the 4x100 finale to these championships. Before that,

:09:37. > :09:39.it is the women's 4x400, and it is not be on the realms of possibility

:09:39. > :09:44.that Great Britain will have a medal chance. Perri Shakes-Drayton

:09:44. > :09:54.has been drafted into the British quartet. We are not sure what the

:09:54. > :10:02.

:10:02. > :10:12.order will be but we will know more Mo, fly and go for it, because this

:10:12. > :10:15.

:10:15. > :10:20.settle down for what should be an enthralling 15 minutes or so. You

:10:20. > :10:27.can't guarantee if he will win this race, but I am pretty sure it will

:10:27. > :10:37.come down to a last-lap sprint of some description. Let's look at the.

:10:37. > :10:37.

:10:37. > :11:26.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 81 seconds

:11:26. > :11:32.aspirations of winning this race. It doesn't belong to Mo Farah. This

:11:32. > :11:42.is his stage. It is his home, here, it is his house, if you like, his

:11:42. > :11:51.

:11:51. > :11:59.crowd. But it is not his gold medal that glorious night. We will talk

:11:59. > :12:03.about that for a long time. Are we to witness another chapter for Mo

:12:03. > :12:07.Farah? There is the former world youth champion from Kenya, he

:12:07. > :12:15.finished 4th last year in the World Championships final, which Mo Farah

:12:15. > :12:23.won. The runner from Uganda, the double Commonwealth champion in

:12:23. > :12:29.Delhi. A championship that Mo Farah did not contest. There will be a

:12:29. > :12:39.big welcome for the silver medallist, Galen Rupp. Mo Farah's

:12:39. > :12:40.

:12:40. > :12:46.training partner. Barrios of Mexico. The Pan-American champion last year.

:12:46. > :12:56.7th in the Olympics four years ago. Ibrahim off, a former Ethiopian, he

:12:56. > :13:13.

:13:13. > :13:23.Bronze-medal in Daegu last year. Cameron Levins from Canada. A huge

:13:23. > :13:25.

:13:25. > :13:32.improvement this year. He can kick. Lopez Lomong, a former refugee

:13:32. > :13:42.himself. Moved up well to the 5,000. Former training partner of Mo

:13:42. > :13:48.

:13:48. > :13:56.Farah's. And Abdalaati Iguider, just held on to a bronze medal.

:13:56. > :14:06.Bernard Lagat has won a bronze and silver at the Olympics. And a gold

:14:06. > :14:07.

:14:07. > :14:17.and two silvers at world level. Hagos Gebrhiwet, just 18. Second

:14:17. > :14:42.

:14:42. > :14:47.fastest junior of all time. Here we of the other competitors, along

:14:47. > :14:57.with Yenew Alamirew. If anybody can cheer him to a gold medal, surely

:14:57. > :15:06.

:15:06. > :15:16.we have just heard it. That could crowd at roars the athletes over

:15:16. > :15:21.the start line to set out. On a journey which will end who knows

:15:21. > :15:29.where for Mo. He could put himself in a position which no a British

:15:29. > :15:34.man has ever managed to do before. I was looking at Mo Farah and I am

:15:34. > :15:39.thankful I am not him. There are a couple of ways I would be thinking

:15:39. > :15:44.about it. You run hard, making a hard, hard race, and possibly

:15:44. > :15:48.sacrifice your own chances. Obviously, that is not happening

:15:48. > :15:57.yet. Another thing I would consider is getting in front of him with the

:15:57. > :16:03.last 600. That is the part Mo likes and there will be -- there will

:16:03. > :16:11.have been much discussion among the athletes and coaches - how do you

:16:11. > :16:18.beat him? Hayle Ibrahimov has decided he is not going to wait any

:16:18. > :16:28.longer. So a bit of a job to get going, just to make them feel as

:16:28. > :16:29.

:16:29. > :16:33.though they were loosening up. With the world lap -- with the world

:16:33. > :16:39.record, every lap averaged 60 seconds. But now the race gets

:16:39. > :16:44.going and gets under way, and they are opening up the gap. The only

:16:44. > :16:49.way I have been thinking about this is, the three Ethiopian is in the

:16:49. > :16:54.race, not the best we have ever seen, but enough of them to run as

:16:54. > :16:58.a team. They have done it in other races in this Games so I would not

:16:58. > :17:02.be surprised to see them get to the front and share some of the pace.

:17:02. > :17:10.But they want to get the race going before too long because it reduces

:17:11. > :17:16.in length and, Mo Farah, don't forget, is already going to have

:17:16. > :17:21.completed 50 laps of the track by the time he finishes tonight.

:17:21. > :17:26.Bernard Lagat, as you mentioned earlier, a very, very good athlete.

:17:26. > :17:30.But I don't think anybody has had such support, the support Mo Farah

:17:30. > :17:35.has tonight. The crowd will make that difference and I think he will

:17:35. > :17:44.be delighted with this reception. It helps your confidence, boost

:17:44. > :17:50.your confidence, and he looks OK. They are fairly content to let him

:17:50. > :18:00.do the early pacemaking, Hayle Ibrahimov. But it is very slow by

:18:00. > :18:00.

:18:00. > :18:08.world 5,000 metres standards. The Kenyans went have had their

:18:08. > :18:13.discussions with the Ethiopians. -- will not have had. Mo goes around

:18:13. > :18:19.the outside and the response from the crowd, just a taster of what is

:18:20. > :18:24.to come. Everybody is doing here is just teasing them a bit. Yes, and

:18:24. > :18:28.also he did enjoy the support of the crowd there. A couple of

:18:28. > :18:38.athletes in the field, including Oleksandr Bondar, who can shed the

:18:38. > :18:38.

:18:38. > :18:43.pace with Mo. -- including Galen Rupp. -- who can share the praise.

:18:43. > :18:53.So, Mo doing everything right, just like he did the other night in the

:18:53. > :18:53.

:18:53. > :18:58.10,000. Doing everything the way he should be. Lopez Lomong, rather

:18:58. > :19:05.surprisingly leading things at this stage. He has got to a reasonable

:19:05. > :19:09.kick. And in the background, Koech. A brilliant Kenyan youngsters. He

:19:09. > :19:14.will have learned a lesson from the World Championships last year,

:19:14. > :19:24.where they rammed really slowly. And then the big burn up at the end.

:19:24. > :19:27.

:19:27. > :19:33.-- they ran. Farah came out on top. I am not sure the likes of Koech

:19:33. > :19:43.will want to watch Lagat. Though he will not go to the front. That is

:19:43. > :19:46.

:19:46. > :19:56.one person we can write off in terms of dictating. Just completing

:19:56. > :19:57.

:19:57. > :20:02.four laps. We are now running a two-mile race. Not a 5,000-metre

:20:02. > :20:06.race because they have not been running, they have been jogging.

:20:06. > :20:12.The interesting statistics of this race will come out when we see how

:20:12. > :20:17.fast they go in the last 1,000, 2000 metres. And I am sure

:20:17. > :20:23.eventually, with eight laps to go, they will have to stop thinking.

:20:23. > :20:30.Their minds will be working like computers. -- they will have to

:20:30. > :20:36.start thinking. Eventually, somebody is going to make this tell

:20:36. > :20:41.in terms of endurance. It will not just be a sprint finish. This one

:20:41. > :20:45.has to be a bit more than a rush over the last couple of laps, and I

:20:45. > :20:55.am sure these athletes will realise they have got to make the others

:20:55. > :21:00.pay. Mo is just keeping an eye on the likes of Yenew Alamirew, coming

:21:00. > :21:05.a bit closer to the front. They're just sensing he is ready to go.

:21:05. > :21:13.Another very slow 1,000-metre section. The longer it goes on like

:21:14. > :21:20.this, the likes of Abdalaati Iguider comes into play. Could be a

:21:20. > :21:25.danger and they don't want to give such -- people like that a chance.

:21:25. > :21:32.A very unstructured 5,000-metre race. Just over 3,000 remaining and

:21:32. > :21:40.it is time somebody did something about it. Mo's team-mate Galen Rupp

:21:40. > :21:46.it moves to the front. Mo Farah, just working his way through.

:21:46. > :21:50.Sometimes when you are running this slowly, your nerves start to take

:21:50. > :21:58.off and you worry somebody will relent. Here's Hayle Ibrahimov

:21:58. > :22:08.again, who is running quickly. And they are saying, OK, at Galen Rupp,

:22:08. > :22:09.

:22:09. > :22:15.is it time for us to go? Mo said to him in one race, don't worry, you

:22:15. > :22:21.don't need to go yet. So they are communicating out there. Whether

:22:21. > :22:27.the Ethiopians are at the moment, I doubt. They are all over the place.

:22:27. > :22:31.He cannot have expected to be leading this. They are all waiting

:22:31. > :22:40.for Farah or somebody to do something. Lagat realising he

:22:40. > :22:47.should get closer here. Six laps to go. Still a long way to go for any

:22:47. > :22:53.individual to make a strike for home. Maybe a few taking turns to

:22:53. > :22:59.push the pace on. For the first time, Lomong is just reacting. He

:22:59. > :23:03.can see Yenew Alamirew on his shoulder. No race plan just yet.

:23:03. > :23:08.Eventually, something will unfurled but the nerves are jangling and the

:23:08. > :23:15.crowd is getting excited. We are watching our only distance running

:23:15. > :23:22.gold medallist here. Mo Farah in a race where he is already the world

:23:22. > :23:32.champion. The world champion at 50101000. The Olympic champion at

:23:32. > :23:39.10,000. -- the world champion at 5,000 metres and 10,000 metres.

:23:39. > :23:45.This is a 2,000-metre race. No distance running event here. Yenew

:23:45. > :23:53.Alamirew doing a little bit. Let's see what he is doing. That is to be

:23:53. > :24:01.discounted. Let's see what happens over the next five laps. Yenew

:24:01. > :24:03.Alamirew is sharing the lead with his team mate. Then the third of

:24:03. > :24:10.the Ethiopian MC: 180! Hagos Gebrhiwet. And then further

:24:10. > :24:17.back. The group with Lagat, Farah and Lomong. Didn't panic when the

:24:17. > :24:23.pace came on. They don't need to make a big surge to come to the

:24:24. > :24:33.front. He will want to make sure he doesn't allow these gaps. Just

:24:34. > :24:34.

:24:34. > :24:41.needs to get a bit closer. Dejen Gebremeskel just deciding... They

:24:41. > :24:47.are coming down and four laps to go. Mo Farah realises he has got to

:24:47. > :24:51.take over. Mo Farah, once again, taking on the might of Africa. Mo

:24:51. > :24:55.Farah in 5th. And that was hard to do when they are going at that sort

:24:55. > :25:02.of praise, to move through from the back. You don't want to give them

:25:02. > :25:10.too much space. And that is why he knew it was time to move up. He was

:25:10. > :25:15.too far away and now he is closer. The two better Ethiopians here

:25:15. > :25:19.exchanging the duties. Pushing on. Every lap will get harder and

:25:19. > :25:24.harder and the legs will get more and more tired, the breathing will

:25:25. > :25:34.get heavier and heavier. But for Farah at the moment, he still looks

:25:35. > :25:36.

:25:36. > :25:44.fairly relaxed. Two 62nd laps, so really now it is about judgment. --

:25:44. > :25:48.two 60-second laps. Another quick lap there and they are accelerating

:25:48. > :25:54.all the time. And you have got to be in a position where Mo Farah is

:25:54. > :25:58.now. You have got to try to win it from there. One thing working in

:25:58. > :26:04.his favour is that one of his big rivals, Dejen Gebremeskel, is

:26:04. > :26:10.having to do the work at the front. He gave them a glance and said, I

:26:10. > :26:20.am right here, boys. Do your best! But that might be where the threat

:26:20. > :26:22.

:26:22. > :26:28.comes from, if with Lagat. Farah is in the perfect place. He likes to

:26:28. > :26:33.go from 600, from where he can strike home. He has done everything

:26:33. > :26:39.right once again in this 5,000- metre race. He has positioned

:26:39. > :26:45.himself perfectly and he has not put a foot wrong today. Now, when

:26:45. > :26:50.he sees two laps to go, the Mo plan will be to stage it, gauge it, were

:26:50. > :26:59.kit from here. The next 20 Committee's has got to be for real.

:26:59. > :27:04.-- work it. For the next time he has got to do it for real. He is

:27:04. > :27:08.just sensing the way to hold on to position is to get to the front now.

:27:08. > :27:12.This is positioning and this is putting himself in a place where

:27:12. > :27:19.but nobody can cut in front of him. He has got the lead when he wants

:27:19. > :27:29.it, with 600 to go. Now the pressure will start to be applied.

:27:29. > :27:29.

:27:29. > :27:35.They know it. Lagat is close. And now he says, right, you and I,

:27:35. > :27:39.let's hold it. Words are exchanged. The bell will sound in 100 metres

:27:39. > :27:44.time and he has got to be very careful he does not let anybody

:27:44. > :27:50.getting ahead of him. He wants to run at race. He is doing it right.

:27:50. > :27:53.It is going to be a fierce last lap. Mo is going to go for it. He is

:27:53. > :28:03.running himself into a medal position. He is running perfectly

:28:03. > :28:04.

:28:05. > :28:09.well and he has got a chance now but he has got to try to steal it.

:28:09. > :28:15.The dangerous 1,500 metre man is in third place now. Lagat there but

:28:15. > :28:24.still chances. Farah holding the inside. The crowd on their feet!

:28:24. > :28:32.They are trying to roar him on! The man in third looks dangerous to me.

:28:32. > :28:40.The arms have got to pump, the knees have got to come up hi. -- up

:28:41. > :28:50.high. I think he is going to get there! Two gold medals for Great

:28:51. > :28:59.

:28:59. > :29:06.Britain! Beautiful! He he is the double Olympic champion! My words

:29:06. > :29:13.cannot do justice to how I feel! Have you ever seen anything like

:29:13. > :29:23.that? Have you ever seen a man so full of confidence in his own

:29:23. > :29:25.

:29:25. > :29:35.ability? Control... Almost eighties at times. Tested to the fold and

:29:35. > :29:49.

:29:49. > :29:55.To have a man who now joins they are there Double-winners -- who

:29:55. > :30:00.joins the other Double-winners. He did it in a style which had

:30:00. > :30:03.everybody at -- everybody around us standing and cheering. 80,000

:30:03. > :30:10.people and I'm pretty sure millions in their front rooms, shouting him

:30:10. > :30:14.home. That was absolutely fantastic. He did everything right in the race.

:30:14. > :30:20.When it came to it, our statistician was working almost as

:30:20. > :30:25.hard as Mo Farah. He ran four minutes for the last mile. He ran

:30:25. > :30:31.52.9 for the last lap. He has worked well, he has trained so well.

:30:31. > :30:35.There is his wife and daughter. That was the moment in the history

:30:35. > :30:40.of British athletics. This man is now among the greats, and it has

:30:40. > :30:45.been such a privilege, watching them grow up and direct. Here they

:30:45. > :30:49.come, in the home straight. -- watching him grow up and do it.

:30:49. > :30:55.This is what he has done so brilliantly. There he goes, the

:30:55. > :31:00.bell sounds. The secret of distance running is unfounded. Mo Farah says,

:31:00. > :31:06.I am in the front, and if you want to come past me, you have to go

:31:06. > :31:11.much faster than this. He is still not flat out yet. He is working

:31:11. > :31:17.here, they are giving him a start, a few yards. They need that few

:31:17. > :31:22.yards. But on the crown of the bend, Mo Farah, he has five athletes

:31:22. > :31:27.around him. He is in a position where it is vulnerable. They can

:31:27. > :31:32.see him and all they can do is sense. He comes into the finishing

:31:32. > :31:37.straight, he gets a bit of a bump from the Kenyan. Now Mo Farah, this

:31:37. > :31:42.is your chance, the chance to go into the record books as one of the

:31:42. > :31:46.all-time greats. And he is now one of the all-time greats. A fantastic

:31:46. > :31:50.athletic performance. The best I have ever seen by a British athlete

:31:50. > :31:55.by miles. He has done the double. We were looking for it and this

:31:55. > :32:00.stadium is my favourite stadium in the world. Every Saturday you come

:32:00. > :32:05.here, Mo Farah wins a gold medal. How good is that? This is fantastic.

:32:05. > :32:09.We watched him as a junior, we watched him grow up. He is now a

:32:10. > :32:13.senior, he is now the greatest. Mo Farah, double Olympic champion. I

:32:13. > :32:18.would never get tired of saying it. Mo Farah, double Olympic champion.

:32:18. > :32:22.I told you I would not get tired! This is the greatest moment I have

:32:22. > :32:29.witnessed in British athletics. It is a privilege to be here. You feel

:32:29. > :32:37.the same, and he is a great lad. have lost my voice. I nearly

:32:37. > :32:44.sward... Sorry! It has been in a great cause. He is in a place where

:32:44. > :32:50.it is difficult... I suppose time will judge, comparing him with the

:32:50. > :32:56.greats. For the moment, just enjoy Mo. A man in full flow. When you

:32:56. > :33:05.see an athlete like this... He will not be beaten. He will not be

:33:05. > :33:14.passed. He or not be denied. -- he will not be denied. The last time

:33:14. > :33:22.the Olympics were held in London, the double could not be done. Look

:33:22. > :33:27.how excited they are. Tanya, and his daughter, Rihanna. Don't forget,

:33:27. > :33:34.Tanya is expecting twins any moment now. I hope it is not any minute

:33:34. > :33:38.now! It literally is! The excitement in this stadium is

:33:38. > :33:47.something... Well, I have never witnessed such a noise, such

:33:47. > :33:51.passion, such support. Everywhere you looked around here... They are

:33:51. > :33:56.not all waving British blacks. They are from all over the world and

:33:56. > :34:03.they know they have seen something special tonight -- they are not all

:34:03. > :34:13.where it -- not all waving British flags. I hope you got a sense of

:34:13. > :34:15.

:34:15. > :34:22.the occasion. Look at that. Incredible. Top that, Usain Bolt!

:34:22. > :34:28.He is coming later, of course. The men's 5,000-metre final: your

:34:28. > :34:32.winner, the gold medal, the champion, Mo Farah of Great Britain.

:34:32. > :34:38.Gebremeskel takes the silver for Ethiopia. Longosiwa, perhaps a

:34:38. > :34:48.surprise bronze, keeping out Bernard Lagat. The double Olympic

:34:48. > :34:55.

:34:55. > :35:02.they have to get in front of him. He knew that. He said, I am at the

:35:02. > :35:07.front, try and come past. One came, another came. It was reminiscent of

:35:07. > :35:11.the race in 1976, that great 5,000 metres. Which you remember more

:35:11. > :35:15.than most. I was one of the ones who could not get past! He did

:35:15. > :35:19.exactly that, he got in the front and decided when he hit the front,

:35:19. > :35:23.he was not going to let anybody get there. There are a lot of

:35:23. > :35:32.congratulations and he will pass them on. His coach has done a

:35:33. > :35:37.brilliant job. What a fantastic job he has done. Ian Stewart, the head

:35:37. > :35:42.of UK insurance, has been with them all day yesterday, looking through

:35:42. > :35:48.the process. Neil Back, his physiotherapist, they have all

:35:48. > :35:52.supported him. The track is hard, his legs will be tired tomorrow,

:35:52. > :36:00.but who cares, the day after you win your second gold medal?

:36:00. > :36:04.Absolutely fantastic. You said the public at home are privileged,

:36:04. > :36:13.80,000 people in the stadium, we are privileged to commentate on the

:36:13. > :36:17.moment. It is pure athletics history. The slap of honour will

:36:17. > :36:23.take a while -- this lap of honour will take a while and who cares

:36:23. > :36:26.about that. It has been a privilege to be sat here. They did not put a

:36:26. > :36:30.roof on the stadium and it is probably a good job. If there had

:36:30. > :36:35.been won, it would have been lifted off and into the stratosphere. Well

:36:35. > :36:45.done, Mo Farah. We can't wait to speak to him and enjoy his

:36:45. > :36:48.

:36:48. > :36:53.What a story, what a performance. Gold medal-winning commentary from

:36:53. > :36:59.Steve and Brendan. Absolutely brilliant. That 27th gold medal

:36:59. > :37:03.leaves us emphatically in third position. I will go in order of

:37:03. > :37:13.hysteria in the commentary box. Denise, what about that?

:37:13. > :37:14.

:37:14. > :37:20.commentary was sensational. Lowe, So on thing in the air, you could

:37:20. > :37:26.-- there was something in the air, you could see it. The race was cat

:37:26. > :37:32.and mouse, it was slow. Once he decided to strike... He just held

:37:33. > :37:37.his form and he was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I know

:37:37. > :37:43.nothing about 5,000-metre tactics at all, but it is a special moment

:37:43. > :37:47.for Mo. He had a desire, he had a dream and it has been totally

:37:47. > :37:52.fulfilled. I hope when he finishes, he reflects and thinks, I am going

:37:52. > :37:55.to put my feet up and have a bit of a rest. Boy, oh boy, he has

:37:56. > :38:01.thoroughly deserved this. We have all hope for him, but he has

:38:01. > :38:05.delivered, wonderful. We have spent so much time talking about, it is

:38:06. > :38:09.not just in the FT, it is in the mind. That was the most brilliantly

:38:09. > :38:14.constructed race plan. A real mess at the start. He took the

:38:14. > :38:19.initiative, he set the pace. It was almost a triumph of the

:38:19. > :38:27.intellectual Mo Farah as well as the FT. It speaks to where he is

:38:27. > :38:31.now. With distance running, it is not as if you go in there with a

:38:31. > :38:35.strategy and your ticket that. You have to be able to make adjustments

:38:35. > :38:42.depending on how the race unfolds because you never know what will

:38:42. > :38:46.happen. Last year, Mo was in great shape. He worked with Alberto,

:38:46. > :38:56.trained with Graham Robb, I think that was a tremendous advantage --

:38:56. > :38:57.

:38:57. > :39:03.A victory in the 10,000 has given him the confidence, that he can go

:39:03. > :39:08.in than he can run with anyone in the world. He has that confidence

:39:08. > :39:12.that he can make the adjustment in the race, and still control the

:39:12. > :39:16.race, which is exactly what he did. It is the choices you make. He was

:39:16. > :39:21.a really good athlete but at the point we make that decision to make

:39:22. > :39:26.changes to your career, to benefit for this one single goal, or in

:39:26. > :39:31.Mo's case, two goals, it is the mark of a true champion. An athlete

:39:31. > :39:37.who knows exactly what it takes to get to the top. We were always

:39:37. > :39:42.saying, Mo will always be in the final but never on the podium. It

:39:42. > :39:47.is a huge quantum leap to go from that to that. A lot of it comes

:39:47. > :39:51.from confidence. We always knew that Mo had talent and the ability.

:39:51. > :39:56.Most of the time when I saw him running at competitions, I didn't

:39:56. > :40:00.think he ran with much confidence. I felt the confidence was lacking

:40:00. > :40:10.and part of that had to do with the fact he didn't physically feel he

:40:10. > :40:12.

:40:12. > :40:16.was up to his task. Thanks to his Here is the hero of the hour. You

:40:16. > :40:20.have just written yourselves into the annals of Olympic history.

:40:20. > :40:23.Double gold medallist, can you describe the feeling? Unbelievable.

:40:23. > :40:29.I had a lot of confidence going into the race. In the heat, I

:40:29. > :40:35.didn't feel so good, I felt tired. I was hoping the guys would help me

:40:35. > :40:40.a lot. It worked out. When you hit the front, there was no way anyone

:40:40. > :40:46.was going to get faster? No, they tried to but I knew I had to hold

:40:46. > :40:52.onto it. I got great support from the crowd. It means a lot to me. By

:40:53. > :40:58.two girls are coming, they are not born yet... Hopefully. They are

:40:58. > :41:05.twins, so one of reach. They arrive next month? They could derive any

:41:05. > :41:11.day. The doctor said, you have got 12 days. -- they could arrive any

:41:11. > :41:16.day. We will see you for the Great North Run, are you ready for

:41:16. > :41:20.everything, because Mo mania is going to sweep the country.

:41:20. > :41:24.don't know what is going on. I am taking one race at a time. The

:41:24. > :41:30.Olympics doesn't come around often. Everybody has a time, it all worked

:41:30. > :41:33.out well. I am amazed. Two gold medals, he would have thought that?

:41:33. > :41:39.I am looking forward to Birmingham and the Great North Run. I am

:41:39. > :41:49.excited. 1st September, I am having a charity auction for the Mo Farah

:41:49. > :41:49.

:41:50. > :41:54.Foundation. Get on the website. demand will be incredible. The way

:41:54. > :41:58.that the noise grows, it is like a Mexican wave of noise. It is

:41:58. > :42:06.unbelievable. I want to thank everyone who supported me. All my

:42:06. > :42:10.coaches in previous years. I can't thank everybody enough. I want is a

:42:10. > :42:14.particularly for my wife, her carrying the twins, it has not been

:42:14. > :42:19.easy. If anything happened, she promised me she would not let me

:42:19. > :42:24.know. I am glad it has all worked out well. She is well, and we saw

:42:24. > :42:26.your daughter, the whole nation wants to give you a big kiss right

:42:26. > :42:30.now to say well done, congratulations, it has been

:42:30. > :42:40.wonderful. It has been a long journey, grafting and grafting. But

:42:40. > :42:48.

:42:48. > :42:52.anything is possible. It is just gritting his teeth now. The arms

:42:53. > :43:00.have got to pump, the knees have got to come up high! Come on, Mo

:43:00. > :43:10.Farah! I think he is going to get there! He is going to get there!

:43:10. > :43:15.

:43:15. > :43:20.He is the double Olympic champion! The place erupts!

:43:20. > :43:30.JOHN INVERDALE: Well, that is how our commentators responded, but

:43:30. > :43:38.

:43:38. > :43:45.look at this! Yeah! Yes! Go on, Mo! And on! And on! And on! Yes! Yes!

:43:45. > :43:54.What a boy! If you think that was hysterical, this is heaven knows

:43:54. > :44:04.how many thousands of people in Hyde Park... With Helen Skelton.

:44:04. > :44:05.

:44:05. > :44:09.That was almost too much for this crowd to take! 40,000 people are

:44:09. > :44:12.here in Hyde Park desperate to share that moment. The roar that

:44:12. > :44:17.went out when he crossed the finish line was like a jet plane taking

:44:17. > :44:23.off! And then the red, white and blue streamers! It sounds like you

:44:23. > :44:27.enjoyed that? Amazing! Really good. Brilliant finish by Mo. What made

:44:27. > :44:33.you come down here instead of watching it at home? Are just the

:44:33. > :44:37.crowds. Such a good atmosphere. The weather was really good. I have

:44:37. > :44:40.been talking to a lot of people who did not manage to get tickets for

:44:40. > :44:44.the Olympic Park but they wanted to be part of the Olympic spirit and

:44:44. > :44:52.that is why became here. It is fair to say they are making the most of

:44:52. > :44:57.it! Well, calm down! Calm down! In their brilliant commentary, Brendan

:44:57. > :45:03.did say he thought that was the single most brilliant moment in

:45:03. > :45:08.Olympic history. Would you go with that? Absolutely. It is just so

:45:08. > :45:14.hard to put into words what we have witnessed but it is fantastic.

:45:14. > :45:19.no doubt about it. The crowd was in there and they helped him, too.

:45:19. > :45:25.Some pretty great moments. If that is top of the pile, that is a

:45:25. > :45:29.considerable moment. Without further ado. A busy night. We have

:45:29. > :45:34.the relay coming up at 9pm tonight. Make sure you stick with us for

:45:34. > :45:44.that. But now we have the women's 800 metres final. Steve, have you

:45:44. > :45:47.

:45:47. > :45:57.Saturday night to had to follow Mo Farah. You almost feel sorry for

:45:57. > :45:58.

:45:58. > :46:02.them. This is a very, very talented young lady. 5,000-metre champion

:46:02. > :46:08.from 1996, and he said that she wants a fast race, and she might

:46:08. > :46:12.get one. Montano from the USA likes to go out hard. The world champion

:46:12. > :46:17.will be difficult to beat, though. This is a race full of talent and

:46:17. > :46:23.she is looking very good indeed. A very good 400-metre pace as well,

:46:23. > :46:28.but she will need to be strong here. This woman could take it out. No

:46:28. > :46:36.woman has ever defended his title. What about Caster Semenya, the

:46:36. > :46:42.South African who first burst onto the scene in 2009. She has had a

:46:42. > :46:50.difficult time since then both on and off the track. Former world

:46:50. > :46:56.champion, and the Olympic silver medallist, Janeth Busienei of Kenya.

:46:56. > :47:06.And then the European champion. So, the race full of European champions,

:47:06. > :47:21.

:47:21. > :47:25.world champions. There's the full track, and an intriguing race are

:47:25. > :47:35.in prospect. Don't be surprised if this is pretty quick as well. The

:47:35. > :47:41.record goes all the way back to Moscow. 43.53. I don't think they

:47:41. > :47:45.will be as quiet as quick as that but it could be an epic race. Not

:47:45. > :47:55.surprisingly, it is the American who has got to the front. A pretty

:47:55. > :47:58.

:47:58. > :48:03.quick opening. Francine Niyonsaba of Burundi in 5th place. That is

:48:03. > :48:07.giving them a chance so they are opening up a yard or two. Caster

:48:07. > :48:16.Semenya, the big danger here, but she will be coming from an awful

:48:16. > :48:20.long way back. This is about judgment. And it is a quick opening.

:48:20. > :48:27.Semenya has to come from a long way back. But if they move from now,

:48:27. > :48:31.they could catch out Caster Semenya. Jelimo will be the first to make a

:48:32. > :48:41.move. Down the back straight. Another world champion, Mariya

:48:42. > :48:42.

:48:42. > :48:45.Savinova, moves up. Just going past. Mariya Savinova recognises the

:48:45. > :48:51.danger and moves into second place. It is the Kenyan who has got this

:48:51. > :49:00.at the moment. A big last 200 to catcher but look at the Russian.

:49:00. > :49:06.She has got pace to burn. And it is Mariya Savinova of Russia. And

:49:06. > :49:11.Semenya coming up way too late. The Russian is going to win this easily,

:49:11. > :49:21.comfortably. She takes the Olympic title. Semenya is finishing quickly

:49:21. > :49:26.but wait too late. A Semenya second. They handed it to the Russian. She

:49:26. > :49:31.is quick on the last lap and strong as well. Semenya was never in it.

:49:31. > :49:37.She was too far back and probably finished quicker than the Russian,

:49:37. > :49:40.but by then, she was gone. The gold medal had already been decided.

:49:40. > :49:45.Well, I think that was a misjudgment on behalf of Caster

:49:45. > :49:49.Semenya. She was finishing like a train. She looked good in the

:49:49. > :49:59.finishing straight up before that, she gave them a start. She looked

:49:59. > :50:03.

:50:03. > :50:09.relaxed. And here she does. Accelerating down the back straight.

:50:09. > :50:13.The gap between Jelimo and Mariya Savinova. She is in 5th place there

:50:13. > :50:18.on the bend, but look how far behind Caster Semenya is. And look

:50:18. > :50:23.how much closer she finishes in there. She is motoring now, is

:50:23. > :50:27.Caster Semenya, moving past them into 5th place, and then 4th, then

:50:27. > :50:33.third, eventually, but in the finishing straight Mariya Savinova

:50:33. > :50:39.was never troubled. Could for her effort faded significantly at this

:50:39. > :50:46.point. And here comes the fast- finishing Caster Semenya into third,

:50:47. > :50:51.into second, and who knows? If she had judged that race better she

:50:51. > :50:56.might have been Olympic champion. However, it is Mariya Savinova who

:50:56. > :51:00.takes the title. And you can see that at there. So much closer at

:51:00. > :51:08.the finish. But it is not measured how fast you finish, it is how fast

:51:08. > :51:11.you gauge the whole race. And Mariya Savinova was untroubled. I

:51:11. > :51:19.was disappointed with the effort of Jelimo because I thought she would

:51:19. > :51:24.come in this race as the favourite. The gold medal goes to Mariya

:51:24. > :51:29.Savinova of Russia. Caster Semenya left it too late and took the

:51:29. > :51:34.silver for South Africa. And Ekaterina Poistogova nipped in for

:51:34. > :51:39.the bronze medal ahead of Pamela Jelimo, who was 4th.

:51:39. > :51:44.JOHN INVERDALE: And having praised Mo Farah for his tactics, Caster

:51:44. > :51:53.Semenya's tactics were all over the shop. Or is there another

:51:53. > :51:57.I wonder if she is slightly anxious about winning after Berlin. She has

:51:57. > :52:04.had such mental scarring and I think she has been mentally

:52:04. > :52:08.hesitant. So you think she almost put herself out of the race so she

:52:08. > :52:17.could not win it? A perhaps. It always leaves you worrying because

:57:45. > :57:51.pain down the last bit, kind of almost the agony, the lactic acid,

:57:51. > :57:56.just burning in your legs. And when you cross the finish line, I just

:59:24. > :59:29.difficult watching everyone else go. I am not going to lie, it was

:59:29. > :59:34.frustrating. How ever many medals GB won, it is fantastic and

:02:22. > :02:28.be a huge relief to have got through to the end. In some ways,

:02:28. > :02:34.it will be a sad moment that it is all over. Just a few days on from

:02:34. > :02:40.another gold medal, it was a tough old battle. What are your emotions?

:02:40. > :02:46.It has taken a long time to sink in. It has been hectic. There has been

:02:46. > :02:52.a lot of racing going on in Weymouth and Portland. It is pretty

:02:52. > :02:56.hard. It takes a long time to sink in. I am very proud. It has been a

:02:56. > :03:02.great performance for the whole team. We can genuinely walk away

:03:02. > :03:07.thinking we have done a good job. The next challenge is the America's

:03:24. > :03:30.about Match of the Day. I have no idea what you said. Those few days

:03:30. > :03:35.that have now gone by, do you think Rio is becoming more and more of a

:03:35. > :03:40.possibility? I still do not know. It is really hard with everything

:03:40. > :03:45.that has happened to say yes or no. The Olympics has been a huge part

:03:45. > :03:50.of my life. It is hard to walk away from it. It was never capped this

:04:57. > :05:03.have on the fall by 400m relay We... We keep continuously going on

:05:03. > :05:08.about the crowd. It is making a difference. If these young ladies

:05:09. > :05:13.have the crowd support, cheering them down the home straight,

:05:13. > :05:17.particularly Christine Ohuruogu on the last leg, it could make a

:05:17. > :05:23.difference. They really believed they could get a medal. Apart from

:05:23. > :05:28.Russia and the USA, who our way out in front, they could really pull it

:05:28. > :05:34.together. The men just missed out last night - agonisingly so when

:05:34. > :05:41.Martyn Rooney could not close the gap. The sprint relay boys messed

:05:41. > :05:51.up. The women were not hit in the first place. It is our last

:05:54. > :06:00.opportunity for a relay Madog at ran very well in the semi-finals

:06:00. > :06:08.yesterday. -- Shana Cox. It was the fastest opening leg of everyone in

:06:08. > :06:14.the semi-final. She hands over to Lee McConnell then Perri Shakes-

:06:37. > :06:43.brought in some strength. Shana Cox is going up against the bronze

:06:43. > :06:50.medallist. She has made a great comeback. She has run so well here.

:06:50. > :07:00.She hands on to Allyson Felix, who has two gold medals already. She is

:07:17. > :07:22.the athlete who finished 7th in the what has been happening in the

:07:22. > :07:30.women's high jump. Anna Chicherova, world champion last year, has been

:07:30. > :07:38.in absolutely supreme form. First- time clearances and now she is up

:07:38. > :07:48.to two metres. This jump at 2.30 euros -- 2.03 metres. She must have

:07:48. > :07:49.

:07:49. > :07:53.felt it was like her gold medal, almost. The top American was

:07:54. > :08:00.outstretched by bridge married -- Brigetta Barrett. On her second

:08:23. > :08:43.

:09:47. > :09:57.else clears any other height. It was so close. Her first failure of

:09:57. > :10:03.this evening. She can clear that. Anna Chicherova really has been

:10:03. > :10:10.supreme. That clearance was massive. She'd just caught it with her

:10:10. > :10:20.calves. She knows how close it was. That would have been a world lead.

:10:20. > :10:51.

:10:51. > :10:57.She has two more attempts. Next up the Czech Republic. Lead of by the

:10:57. > :11:03.person who was 7th in the 400m hurdles. Venture would give the

:11:13. > :11:17.

:11:17. > :11:25.give the baton. This is the line-up for Nigeria. Ukraine are European

:11:25. > :11:35.champions. They have the slightly different line-up from Helsinki.

:11:35. > :11:45.

:11:45. > :11:53.The Russians, led off by a semi- finalist. Jamaica, led off by

:11:53. > :12:01.Christine Day. She was a semi- finalist in the individual event.

:12:01. > :12:11.Then the very powerful team from the USA. Allyson Felix has two

:12:11. > :12:11.

:12:11. > :12:17.golds already. The great Sanya Richards-Ross on the anchor leg.

:12:17. > :12:25.And France are out in lane eight. Their running between the USA and

:12:25. > :12:30.Great Britain. -- they are running. The great British team. Shana Cox

:12:30. > :12:40.ran a very good first leg in the semi-final. Perri Shakes-Drayton

:12:40. > :12:45.has been brought in from the semi- final. A bit of a query about a

:12:45. > :12:51.hamstring of Perri Shakes-Drayton. We hope she is all right. We hope

:12:51. > :12:57.the baton will be brought round by Christine Ohuruogu to the finish

:12:57. > :13:04.line. She has won 8 silver medal behind Sanya Richards-Ross in the

:13:04. > :13:08.individual event. The last women's track event in these Olympic Games.

:13:08. > :13:18.Great Britain have the chance, but it is a tough ask. They are out in

:13:18. > :13:23.

:13:23. > :13:27.and she has gone out very powerfully in lane nine. The

:13:27. > :13:31.American, Deedee Trotter, as you would expect, is gaining ground all

:13:31. > :13:36.the time on the French. This is going to be tough for Shana Cox,

:13:37. > :13:41.because Deedee Trotter is becoming level. Well, Shana Cox could just

:13:41. > :13:48.crack a little bit. The Americans are having a brilliant leg, so are

:13:48. > :13:51.the Russians. Shana Cox, so far, so good for Britain. I think Britain

:13:51. > :13:56.have got to hang onto their shirt- tails of the Jamaican team if they

:13:56. > :14:00.want to win a medal, they cannot be too far away. Shana Cox has to be

:14:00. > :14:03.strong in his last 20 metres, because as she hands over to Lee

:14:03. > :14:08.McConnell, they do not want to be too far away from the Jamaican team,

:14:08. > :14:12.and I fear that they may be 50m adrift when this break happens. Lee

:14:12. > :14:17.McConnell has got to get shifting down that back straight. They have

:14:17. > :14:22.got to get involved here. Great Britain are down in 5th or 6th

:14:22. > :14:26.position. The United States have got Allyson Felix on his leg, and

:14:26. > :14:30.the lead is increasing all the time, just one and a half legs gone, and

:14:30. > :14:35.the American leader is about 20 metres! That is the battle between

:14:35. > :14:45.Lee McConnell of Great Britain and the French athletes, very

:14:45. > :14:46.

:14:46. > :14:50.experienced. But Allyson Felix quartet, and they are leading this

:14:50. > :14:55.by a country mile at the moment, and they will not be caught, I can

:14:55. > :14:59.say that at this stage. Russia's second, to make a third, Perri

:14:59. > :15:06.Shakes-Drayton is a long way off where we hoped they would be. --

:15:06. > :15:11.Russia second, Jamaica third. I think it is too big a gap or

:15:11. > :15:15.Christine Ohuruogu. The USA are way out in France, Russia having a

:15:15. > :15:21.battle with Jamaica. This is a task to tour for Perri Shakes-Drayton, I

:15:21. > :15:25.think. She is having a battle Royale with Regina George, but the

:15:25. > :15:31.Americans are absolutely flying. This is going to be a cracking time.

:15:31. > :15:36.Francena McCorory will hand on to Sanya Richards-Ross. The Russians

:15:36. > :15:41.are very definitely in second place. But a long way behind the USA. Then

:15:41. > :15:47.come Jamaica, then the Ukraine. Sanya Richards-Ross is away.

:15:47. > :15:52.Natalya Antyukh is chasing. But Richards-Ross is absolutely flying,

:15:52. > :15:57.and there goes Christine Ohuruogu. It was a good leg by Perri Shakes-

:15:57. > :16:01.Drayton, she took a couple of metres out of the Nigerians. But

:16:01. > :16:07.Great Britain are back in 5th position. A medal seems a forlorn

:16:07. > :16:11.hope. Christine Ohuruogu chasing down the Ukraine in front of the

:16:12. > :16:17.European champions, but look at the Americans! Sanya Richards-Ross is

:16:17. > :16:21.going to bring it home, it will be very quick indeed. Natalia and he

:16:21. > :16:27.act is chasing really hard. She is trying to shake off the Jamaicans

:16:27. > :16:33.behind her. Richards-Ross is flying, watch the clock! Just outside the

:16:33. > :16:39.world record, the USA win, Russia in second place, Jamaica in third,

:16:39. > :16:46.Ukraine in 4th, and Great Britain and Northern Ireland in 5th place.

:16:46. > :16:52.Christine Ohuruogu gave it her best shot. But that was a truly, truly

:16:52. > :16:58.great, great quartet from the USA, and Sanya Richards-Ross brought it

:16:58. > :17:03.home. The Americans were going for six relay titles in a row, and they

:17:03. > :17:09.got it, and they got it emphatically! Michael, that was

:17:09. > :17:12.brilliant. It was brilliant, a great quartet there, women's 400m

:17:12. > :17:19.sprint in in the US is raised strong right now, Allyson Felix not

:17:19. > :17:24.even contesting the 400. They were going to be tough, the Russians

:17:24. > :17:29.were going to be tough, we knew that. They brought on Natalya

:17:29. > :17:33.Antyukh for the final. Sanya Richards-Ross finally winning her

:17:33. > :17:38.gold medal in the individual 400, now bringing it home for the US

:17:38. > :17:43.team in the 4x400 metres, Jamaica upgraded their team from what they

:17:43. > :17:49.had in the semi-finals, but not enough to beat the Russians. It was

:17:49. > :17:52.always going to be tough for Great Britain to get there and get a

:17:52. > :17:59.medal, even with adding Perri Shakes-Drayton on to this team.

:17:59. > :18:02.They did not get much from Shana Cox on the first leg, and they were

:18:02. > :18:08.in a hole from the very beginning. But Sanya Richards-Ross, one of the

:18:08. > :18:13.greatest 400m runners of all time, double Olympic gold-medallist at

:18:13. > :18:19.these the Olympics. The US women taking up the slack for the US men,

:18:19. > :18:25.who did not get the gold medal again for the 4x400 relay, but the

:18:25. > :18:33.US women doing a great job. Sanya Richards-Ross knows that she has

:18:33. > :18:37.got herself a second gold medal there, a great job. Well, no doubt

:18:37. > :18:47.about the winners, absolutely dominant ball way through. The

:18:47. > :18:48.

:18:48. > :18:53.British confirmed in 5th place, A leg 52.5, the key was trying to

:18:53. > :18:57.keep in touch with the Jamaicans. Yeah, I mean the first leg it is

:18:57. > :19:02.always important to stay within striking distance. Obviously, being

:19:02. > :19:07.out in lane nine, you do not have any targets, but the goal is just

:19:07. > :19:12.to put yourself out there for the rest of your team. It was a tough

:19:12. > :19:18.draw for Shana Cox, 52.4 on the second leg, you want to be in the

:19:18. > :19:22.battle as best you can. Yes, it was quite a messy leg. Everyone was

:19:22. > :19:29.breaking at the same time, so I found it a little hard, harder than

:19:29. > :19:33.yesterday. You relish these opportunities, 50.4 on that leg,

:19:33. > :19:38.you gave it your all. I did indeed, we knew it would be tough, but we

:19:38. > :19:44.went at air to try our best. Shame we did not get a medal, but you

:19:44. > :19:49.know, we will come back stronger. Christine, 50.6, it was always

:19:49. > :19:54.thought that it was going to be the US, Russia, Jamaica and it was

:19:54. > :20:00.going to be a struggle from the start. Well, we knew it was going

:20:00. > :20:04.to be hard, but you never know what is going to happen in relays, and

:20:04. > :20:07.we came at expecting it to at least put in the best efforts that we

:20:07. > :20:10.could put in and come away with something. You improve on

:20:10. > :20:14.yesterday's performance and gave it your all, well done. We really did,

:20:14. > :20:23.we knew it was tough, but we decided to do the best we could,

:20:23. > :20:27.and I think that is what we did. We will be back shortly for Mo

:20:27. > :20:30.Farah's medal ceremony and the 4x100 metres relay, but let's take

:20:30. > :20:36.advantage of this slight lull to introduce you to a couple of medal

:20:36. > :20:42.winners. I enjoyed by taekwondo winners Jade Jones and Lutalo

:20:42. > :20:46.Muhammad, congratulations to you both. A gold medal, a first for

:20:46. > :20:49.Britain in taekwondo, it will do wonders for the sport. Yeah,

:20:49. > :20:53.hopefully there is a lot of people watching and more people getting

:20:53. > :20:58.involved in taekwondo, yeah. I love your reaction afterwards, you were

:20:58. > :21:03.running around the arena with the flag, you described it as bonkers.

:21:03. > :21:10.Yeah, it was just crazy! When I found out I'd one, I just couldn't

:21:10. > :21:16.help it, I went crazy. This is part of the action in the final, it must

:21:16. > :21:19.have meant so much, I think you have got the nickname, the

:21:19. > :21:27.Headhunter, perhaps the most fearsome nickname in sport. Are you

:21:27. > :21:31.aggressive by nature? Yes! I just love to get stuck in there. And as

:21:31. > :21:35.for you, Lutalo, you came into these games, I thought, under a

:21:35. > :21:39.great deal of pressure. You have the situation with Aaron Cook, the

:21:39. > :21:43.world champion, should he be selected? But you were picked, and

:21:43. > :21:47.you must tell felt that burden. Yeah, you know, there was a bit of

:21:47. > :21:52.extra pressure on me, perhaps a bit more than some other athletes, but

:21:52. > :21:56.I did not really want to use that as an excuse. I wanted to just

:21:56. > :22:00.focus on my goal of winning, you know, a gold medal. Unfortunately,

:22:00. > :22:05.I came up a little bit short, but I'm happy and proud none the less

:22:05. > :22:08.with the bronze medal. So you should be, it must make you feel

:22:08. > :22:12.like to have justified people's belief in you. Yes, I had

:22:12. > :22:16.tremendous support going into this, there was a lot of people behind me,

:22:16. > :22:24.my family, Team GB were very supportive, so I am happy that I

:22:24. > :22:31.have a medal. I saw your dad's quote, he said he was on the moon.

:22:31. > :22:35.Has he rien dead yet?! He must be very proud. It probably felt as

:22:35. > :22:41.good as winning the bronze medal, my dad telling me he was really

:22:42. > :22:45.proud of me. It is a great moment, I will cherish this for ever.

:22:45. > :22:48.your parents are obviously very proud, your dad had never watched

:22:48. > :22:52.you before the Olympic Games because he could not stand the

:22:52. > :22:57.sight of you being kicked in head, which as a parent I can understand!

:22:57. > :23:01.Yeah, he has never watched, he would end up getting involved. It

:23:01. > :23:04.was a nice moment for him to come and watch and for me to do so well

:23:04. > :23:08.in front of all my family and friends. And all the people in

:23:08. > :23:12.flints got together to help with your funding, your home village.

:23:12. > :23:16.Yes, for the Youth Olympics, before I even qualified, they raise loads

:23:16. > :23:21.of money for me to get to the competition, so their support means

:23:21. > :23:26.a lot, so for me to win the medal is special. I understand a local

:23:26. > :23:30.butchers has named a sausage after you, the Jade Jones sausage, which

:23:30. > :23:39.must be a highlight, it means more than the gold medal! Do you know

:23:39. > :23:43.what is in it? No idea! And your father, Lutalo, he has backed you

:23:43. > :23:48.to the hilt and stop you from parting too much, hasn't it? I

:23:48. > :23:52.suppose you are thanking him now. Definitely, when you're 14 or 15,

:23:52. > :23:58.you start to see girls everywhere, you want to start going out and

:23:58. > :24:04.start. At first, I kind of resented it, my friends having so much fun,

:24:04. > :24:09.I was stuck in the gym, but I'm really grateful for it now. It has

:24:09. > :24:13.been an incredible journey for me, and I'm really grateful to him.

:24:13. > :24:18.will let you enjoy your moment for a few nights! You would have

:24:18. > :24:22.thought! In terms of you, where you go from here? You are both so young,

:24:22. > :24:26.you could go on for years, hopefully we will see you at

:24:26. > :24:31.Olympics to come in the future. Definitely, a bit of time off now,

:24:31. > :24:36.to get mentally fresh again, and then I'm going to be gone for Rio,

:24:36. > :24:40.the world championships next year, get back in the gym, keep improving

:24:40. > :24:44.and getting better. Thank you but so much for coming in, enjoy your

:24:44. > :24:49.time now. You did Britain proud, well done. Thank you very much.

:24:49. > :24:54.Back to the athletics in just a second, but let me tell you that

:24:55. > :25:00.the boxing is on, Luke Campbell fighting against John Joe Nevin of

:25:00. > :25:04.Ireland, it is a big fight, going for gold. That is on the red button.

:25:04. > :25:08.If you want to watch that, you know where it is. We are going to the

:25:08. > :25:13.athletics with John Inverdale. We were just musing actually about

:25:14. > :25:19.whether it was written in the star's altar members, people who

:25:19. > :25:22.were almost born within a javelin throw of the stadium, Perri Shakes-

:25:22. > :25:26.Drayton and Christine Ohuruogu, whether they would be able to bring

:25:26. > :25:29.home the bacon. I was just talking with Colin, and we thought that the

:25:29. > :25:32.relay or they could have been different. I would like to have

:25:32. > :25:37.seen Perri Shakes-Drayton on the first leg, with their strength from

:25:37. > :25:41.the 400m hurdles, we might have been able to make closer order at

:25:41. > :25:45.the beginning. I don't know, they ran OK, but it was never going to

:25:45. > :25:48.be quick enough. Wasn't the margin so great that the order was

:25:48. > :25:51.irrelevant? Just chatting to Michael as well, when he arrived

:25:51. > :25:56.back here, we were trying to walk out whether the order made any

:25:56. > :26:00.difference, but the split times from the others, just unbelievable.

:26:00. > :26:04.They were completely over match. The order was not going to matter.

:26:04. > :26:08.You could put that team in any order, the speed was not there to

:26:08. > :26:11.contend with the Jamaicans, the Russians and Jamaicans both

:26:12. > :26:16.upgraded their teams from the semi- finals and a tremendous talent and

:26:16. > :26:20.experience. And his team has experience with Lee McConnell and

:26:20. > :26:24.Christine Ohuruogu, but they do not have the speed at his point. Great

:26:24. > :26:30.excitement because we are waiting for Mo Farah's medal ceremony, we

:26:30. > :26:33.will keep chatting until that comes. Allyson Felix, she has had an

:26:33. > :26:37.extraordinary games. Where would you put her in the pantheon of

:26:37. > :26:42.great American sprinters? She is one of the greatest of all time.

:26:42. > :26:46.Because of their range, remember that she has made the US team in

:26:46. > :26:52.multiple Olympic Games and championships as a 100m runner,

:26:52. > :26:57.200m sprinter and 400m. I think that, honestly, if it were me, I

:26:57. > :27:02.would switch my attention full-time to 400m, because she could win. She

:27:02. > :27:09.did not win last year, she did medal, but she could be one of the

:27:09. > :27:12.greatest of all time, like Valerie Brisco, those athletes who have

:27:13. > :27:17.done that and won. She could do that, but she is an incredible

:27:17. > :27:22.athlete. She got over a significant home here by winning the gold medal

:27:22. > :27:26.in the 200m. She had not done that, she had been silver-medallist tries,

:27:26. > :27:30.world champion three times at 200m, but you have to win the Olympic

:27:30. > :27:34.gold medal, and now she has done that. She is always a member of

:27:34. > :27:40.both relays, and not many can do that. She is one of the greatest

:27:40. > :27:44.ever. Less than 15 minutes to go until the last events in the

:27:44. > :27:48.Olympic Stadium, the 4x100 metres relay featuring Jamaica, the USA

:27:48. > :27:55.and six other teams as well! It is going to be a fantastic finale, and

:27:55. > :27:59.Mr vault is running the final leg for Jamaica. -- Mr Bolt. We are

:27:59. > :28:03.waiting for Mo Farah, this might be the opportunity to talk about it,

:28:03. > :28:08.British athletics, the target, let's cut to the chase, was eight,

:28:08. > :28:12.Charles van Commenee said, if we do not get eight medals, you can all

:28:13. > :28:22.come to Heathrow and Waveney goodbye. We have only got six, but

:28:23. > :28:28.

:28:28. > :28:34.Does that count as eight? He made that statement and that is fine.

:28:34. > :28:39.The statement is there for everyone to read. He cannot walk away it and

:28:39. > :28:45.be disappointed. It was a tremendous job that was done by the

:28:45. > :28:51.British athletes. I liked the diversity of the medals. We are

:28:51. > :29:01.expected Jessica to win. That is the case. The big surprise was a

:29:01. > :29:05.

:29:05. > :29:09.break for the majority of people. He was the world's leader. -- Greg.

:29:09. > :29:14.Knowing Charles, he will be disappointed. What he has said to

:29:14. > :29:19.me is he really had a good feeling about the athletes coming into

:29:19. > :29:25.these championships. He had high expectations because of what they

:29:25. > :29:31.have shown, factoring in the elevation of the crowd. He will be

:29:31. > :29:38.slightly disappointed. Who will have changed those gold medals?

:29:38. > :29:45.What happens? We waved him go by. I think he will go. If he stays, he

:29:45. > :29:49.will have to stay for another five years. We have the World Athletic

:29:49. > :29:55.Championships and the person who comes in the news to stay on till

:29:55. > :30:02.then. I think what they will do, the grand finale tonight, it will

:30:02. > :30:08.be the medal ceremony of Mo Farah. This is the women's relay

:30:08. > :30:14.presentation ceremony. I would like to say, what do you say to Charles

:30:14. > :30:18.van Commenee? I think he has done a fantastic job. He has changed the

:30:18. > :30:28.culture of UK Athletics was about is why they have won so many medals

:30:28. > :30:29.

:30:29. > :30:39.as they have. I wonder if he wants to stay. That is it. I think he

:30:39. > :30:45.feels job done, ready to move on to the next phase. Being in charge of

:30:45. > :30:49.Brazilian athletics? Maybe. He fears he has done his job. He has

:30:49. > :30:54.changed the culture. Whether he stays or goes, you will see the

:30:54. > :31:00.results of that in years to come. The media precede it UK Athletics

:31:00. > :31:07.has suffered only changed when Charles got here. Lenci what is

:31:07. > :31:17.happening down at the medal ceremony. -- let's see what is

:31:17. > :31:38.

:31:39. > :31:42.Coming through to take that bronze. It was the silver medal for Caster

:31:42. > :31:46.Semenya. She finished probably quicker than anyone but she

:31:47. > :31:54.completely misjudged it. I know there were many who thought she

:31:54. > :32:01.could win yesterday. If she wants to beat the athlete who won the

:32:01. > :32:07.gold medal, she needs to be much closer to her. You cannot give her

:32:07. > :32:14.that much of a head start. It is a good comeback for the South African.

:32:14. > :32:21.She became the world champion last year. She is also European champion

:32:21. > :32:27.in 2010. She adds to all of that the Olympic title. She is a very

:32:27. > :32:37.difficult 800m runner to beat. She can sprint off a fast pace and she

:32:37. > :32:47.has such good Flat speed. That comes in useful when it is slow as

:32:47. > :32:54.

:32:54. > :32:56.well. Mariya Savinova, the Olympic champion. Please stand for the

:32:56. > :33:01.national anthem of the Russian Federation.

:33:01. > :33:11.# Rossiya - svyashennaya nasha derzhava.

:33:11. > :33:20.# Rossiya - lyubimaya nasha strana. # Moguchaya volya, velikaya slava.

:33:20. > :33:30.# Tvoe dostoyan'e. # Na vse vremena!

:33:30. > :33:40.# Slav'sya, Otechestvo. # Nashe svobodnoe.

:33:40. > :33:42.

:33:42. > :33:50.# Bratskih narodov. # Soyuz vekovoi.

:33:50. > :34:00.# Predkami dannaya. # Mudrost' narodnaya!

:34:00. > :34:06.

:34:06. > :34:15.# Slav'sya, strana! They did not have quite the drama

:34:15. > :34:24.of the men's 800m final but she's a very good champion indeed. Ladies

:34:24. > :34:29.and gentlemen, the Olympic medallists. And so it into second

:34:30. > :34:39.place on the podium behind Felix and chairs on the Crying game's.

:34:40. > :34:47.

:34:47. > :34:52.The great performance as well. -- The Crying Games. Now for the men's

:34:52. > :34:58.four by 100 relay. They won a silver medal in 1984 at the Los

:34:58. > :35:07.Angeles Games until this happened in Beijing. Hang on to your hats,

:35:07. > :35:16.this could be interesting. The men's 4x100m relay. Jamaica surely

:35:16. > :35:22.just have to get the baton round to win this. Michael going down the

:35:22. > :35:27.back straight. He will be giving it to Usain Bolt. Usain Bolt has it in

:35:27. > :35:37.his hands safely and he is a way round the top bend. One more change

:35:37. > :35:44.to go - another it save one. PASOK away it and gone. -- Asafa Powell

:35:44. > :35:54.of a weight and gone. Look at this! It is a new world record. Three

:35:54. > :35:57.

:35:57. > :36:02.gold medals, three world records. Party time in Jamaica. So we want

:36:02. > :36:07.the grandest of grand finales to what has been an outstanding track

:36:07. > :36:11.and field eight and nine days of competition. Michael Johnson, what

:36:11. > :36:16.is the dream finale? How do we write the script for the most

:36:16. > :36:23.dramatic conclusion? The anchor leg is going to be Usain Bolt. I would

:36:24. > :36:29.like to see him get it with about five metres behind the US. To see

:36:29. > :36:35.what he does. It would be phenomenal to see. Can he make up

:36:35. > :36:41.five metres? I do not think he can. That is why I picked five. I want

:36:41. > :36:46.the US to win. I'm not that comfortable with five. When you

:36:46. > :36:50.think about Usain Bolt, we normally see him lining up with everyone

:36:50. > :36:56.bows. Imagine if there is someone in front of him that he is chasing.

:36:56. > :37:04.Who knows what he can run? I do not think he can make up five on Ryan

:37:04. > :37:10.Baillie. I do not think he can make up five. Four becomes questionable.

:37:10. > :37:17.Three, I think, absolutely, he can make it up. He can do it. I Am

:37:17. > :37:26.curious as to the USA it order. do not like it. I would not put Day

:37:26. > :37:33.on the turn. He has had all kinds of groin issues and operations. I

:37:33. > :37:38.would not have put Ryan Baillie on the anchor. These are the things

:37:38. > :37:44.that go on. Sometimes you over think these things. That is

:37:44. > :37:50.probably what has happened here. I am not crazy about this. It is what

:37:50. > :37:59.they have. They will have Tyson Gay it on the second leg. The back

:37:59. > :38:04.stretch is longer. By a couple of yards usually, a couple of metres.

:38:04. > :38:12.I do not like the idea of putting Ryan Baillie on the anchor - the

:38:12. > :38:15.young kid. They get a little excited in this situation. I am

:38:15. > :38:23.afraid of the scenario where he is watching what is going on

:38:23. > :38:31.throughout the entire race. He is seen that my team is winning. He

:38:31. > :38:36.looks over and he sees it Usain Bolt to hold off. When he sees his

:38:36. > :38:40.guy coming in, he could get anxious and go too quick. With the

:38:40. > :38:46.adrenalin, he is running much faster than he has ever run in

:38:46. > :38:52.practice and the timing is off. I'm not crazy about that order. Let's

:38:52. > :38:58.just mention the boxing finals are on various platforms. Tom Daley is

:38:58. > :39:03.live on BBC Three at the moment. This will not take very long - 37

:39:03. > :39:09.seconds at the moment. We can talk about all the athletes and

:39:09. > :39:13.everything else. The one inanimate object is the baton. It is a shame

:39:13. > :39:17.Great Britain are not in here. We do not want anyone to drop the

:39:17. > :39:24.baton tonight. We want a real run to the line. That'll be the

:39:24. > :39:30.determining factor. That is what the relay is about. Both teams can

:39:30. > :39:35.make mistakes. Both teams can drop them. Both teams can hold them.

:39:35. > :39:40.That is what everyone is wishing will happen - they all have clean

:39:40. > :39:48.exchanges to the last leg and made the fastest man win. Who wins?

:39:48. > :39:54.are asking for a prediction? Last event, your first prediction of the

:39:54. > :39:58.Games. You know what, I think this time but teams will get the baton

:39:58. > :40:02.around. That is seriously... Think about the US and how many times

:40:02. > :40:09.they have dropped it. I believe they will get it around this time

:40:09. > :40:16.and we will seek a base. He cannot bet against Jamaica. -- we will see

:40:16. > :40:21.a race. The batons are an issue. Why don't we watched the race!

:40:21. > :40:29.are going to. This might be the last time we see Usain Bolt in an

:40:29. > :40:34.Olympic sprint race. Who knows what will happen in the next four years?

:40:34. > :40:44.There is a huge roar of anticipation going up around the

:40:44. > :40:58.

:40:58. > :41:05.little bit of a chilly evening. There is enough warmth in the

:41:05. > :41:11.stadium to make him feel at home. Blake will be on the top bend.

:41:11. > :41:18.These two - the two could this meant in the world at the moment.

:41:18. > :41:27.That is a huge advantage to bring into this relay. Australia line up

:41:27. > :41:37.like theirs. -- like this. They came through as fastest losers.

:41:37. > :41:48.

:41:48. > :41:58.of the teams ran national records to get into this final. That

:41:58. > :42:23.

:42:23. > :42:32.underlines have quit this track is. Jamaican team is supremely talented.

:42:32. > :42:39.The last two runners have changed. What about this American Quartet!

:42:39. > :42:49.That is where they have put their strength, on legs two and three.

:42:49. > :42:52.

:42:52. > :43:01.The best team in Europe at the Keston Bledman, one of the quickest

:43:01. > :43:08.men in the world this year. A good mix of experience and raw speed

:43:09. > :43:16.there. Well, Nesta Carter, still reliable out of the blocks, down

:43:16. > :43:26.the back straight Michael Frater, then the beasts, Yohan Blake, and

:43:26. > :44:04.

:44:04. > :44:09.see if you can finish as off in being chased, he is not being

:44:09. > :44:14.chased hard, though, party as had a good first black. Jamaica have got

:44:14. > :44:19.to get moving. Michael Frater will be handing it to Yohan Blake, but

:44:19. > :44:24.Justin Gatlin has gone well, and now Tyson Gay. Blake is right on

:44:24. > :44:28.the Americans, it is between these two. Bolt is going to have it in

:44:28. > :44:33.the lead, and you know what that means! They have got the baton,

:44:33. > :44:38.Bailey is trying to hold on but he has got no chance! Jamaica are the

:44:38. > :44:48.gold-medallists again, and it is a new world record! He smashes it to

:44:48. > :44:57.

:44:57. > :45:01.pieces! Two great teams, but only brokered. Day go, they broke the

:45:01. > :45:09.world record last year at the World Championships. -- Daegu. And once

:45:09. > :45:19.again this Jamaican team, so full of talent, so full of bravado as

:45:19. > :45:25.

:45:25. > :45:29.well, the greatest-ever! Another think, were within the whole world

:45:29. > :45:34.record, two great teams, and you have to hand it to the Americans,

:45:34. > :45:38.they gave these guys a run for their money, but when Bolt got the

:45:38. > :45:42.baton, he could have branded with two hands, to be honest, and he was

:45:42. > :45:47.away, there was only going to be one result, and the only question

:45:47. > :45:53.was how quick they would go, and that world record, well, if Bolt

:45:53. > :45:58.does not come back, we might never see this again. Paul, I guess we

:45:58. > :46:03.can all sit and say, hey, we were there, six gold medals for him,

:46:03. > :46:10.four individual, two in the relays, and if he never comes back again,

:46:10. > :46:14.thank you very much, Mr Bolt. times, Colin, were absolutely

:46:14. > :46:20.stunning, the changes were not great, but when you can run as fast

:46:20. > :46:25.as they can, anything can happen, and tonight in London it did.

:46:25. > :46:29.was electric, the atmosphere in the stadium was tremendous, and it was

:46:29. > :46:33.all about this, this race that everyone was expecting to be fast,

:46:33. > :46:38.everyone expected it to be competitive, and it was certainly

:46:38. > :46:43.that, but the big difference was here when Yohan Blake received the

:46:43. > :46:49.baton, he absolutely tore around the bend. Remember, Tyson Gay is

:46:49. > :46:52.one of the best 100m runner ever, and when Usain Bolt got that baton,

:46:52. > :46:59.the absolutely flew, and he was watching the clock the whole way

:46:59. > :47:04.down. That changeover, when Bolt got the baton, was a shocker! He

:47:04. > :47:08.almost took it from a standing start. Take us all the way around,

:47:08. > :47:12.this was sensational in the end. Nesta Carter out of the blocks well,

:47:12. > :47:17.all he was trying to do was keep Jamaica in contention, give the

:47:17. > :47:22.baton to Michael Frater, brilliant exchange. He is way back, but he

:47:22. > :47:27.knew that Justin Gatlin was a medallist in the 100m. If he could

:47:27. > :47:31.pass to Yohan Blake, he could do some damage around this turn. These

:47:31. > :47:37.two are trading partners, they know each other very well, and Usain

:47:37. > :47:43.Bolt wanted the baton so he could get into full flow. Once he did

:47:43. > :47:46.that, even tipped for the line, how many times have we seen that?!

:47:46. > :47:51.one interesting statistic that might make you raise an eyebrow.

:47:51. > :47:55.Canada took the bronze, and we beat them in the heats. They actually

:47:55. > :48:00.ran a slower than Great Britain did in the heats, but we were

:48:00. > :48:04.disqualified. The might have beens do not matter, it was all about

:48:04. > :48:09.this fantastic Jamaican team, but it was a great race, and you have

:48:09. > :48:12.to hand it to the Americans. They equalled the old world record but

:48:12. > :48:18.still found 18 that was better. When you consider the great

:48:18. > :48:22.American sprinters of the past, Trell Kimmons, Tyson Gay, Justin

:48:22. > :48:26.Gatlin, young Ryan Bailey, they absolutely tore around, but on the

:48:26. > :48:35.day they were beaten not just by this man, but by a great, great

:48:36. > :48:39.Jamaican quartet. And even gave the British crowd a Mo part. That is

:48:39. > :48:43.nice to see, he understands the stage that he is on, and the

:48:43. > :48:49.British fans love him as well. He is very much aware of what he has

:48:49. > :48:53.meant to these games, he has played his part, and so has Mo Farah.

:48:53. > :48:59.British supporters will not like is the fact that that medal takes them

:48:59. > :49:04.above Great Britain in the track and field stand-ins. -- standing

:49:04. > :49:14.ins. A wonderful, wonderful night, not just for Jamaica but for

:49:14. > :49:21.

:49:21. > :49:27.athletics needs this man, doesn't it? Athletics needs him, but I do

:49:27. > :49:32.not know if he needs athletics any more. I am starting to plan my exit

:49:32. > :49:36.now, like him, because he has done so much in such a short time, world

:49:36. > :49:41.champion, twice the Olympic champion, world record holder, and

:49:41. > :49:44.once you run out of goals, then there is no more motivation, and

:49:44. > :49:52.that is when you are vulnerable to being beaten, vulnerable to falling

:49:52. > :49:57.off the stage. Absolutely, I mean... He just to lift the sport, he has

:49:57. > :50:01.taken this to the masses. Everything about him is show, it is

:50:01. > :50:07.about performance, about delivering when it counts. The way he

:50:07. > :50:10.interacts with the crowd, he makes them believe, you know. They love

:50:10. > :50:16.athletics, and it is great. What has been interesting is Canada have

:50:16. > :50:23.been disqualified, so Trinidad & Tobago have been upgraded to third!

:50:23. > :50:30.What a night! What a night. some strange reason, he is not

:50:30. > :50:34.letting go! In case you're wondering why there was booing in

:50:34. > :50:37.the crowd, one of the officials, he wanted to keep the baton which he

:50:37. > :50:45.ran through the line with to establish the world record, and it

:50:45. > :50:53.was taken off him by an official. Steve Cram, who has got the bronze

:50:53. > :50:57.now? The bronze medal now goes to Trinidad & Tobago, 38.12. Canada

:50:57. > :51:01.disqualified, I am not quite sure at which point they were

:51:01. > :51:06.disqualified, we will clear that up afterwards. World record for

:51:06. > :51:11.Jamaica, brilliant gold medal run, 36.84, really smashing the record,

:51:11. > :51:15.that is a big chunk, two tense, equalled by the United States team

:51:15. > :51:25.in second place. Surprisingly, it has been a good night for Trinidad

:51:25. > :51:27.

:51:27. > :51:36.night on the track, but it was a brilliant performance by Anna

:51:36. > :51:42.Chicherova in the women's high jump. As you can see, first-time

:51:42. > :51:45.clearance at 2.05, his second attempt. The American there in

:51:45. > :51:55.second place, another Russian in third, we can get confirmation

:51:55. > :52:02.

:52:02. > :52:08.good night for Trinidad & Tobago. They had not won eight gold medal

:52:08. > :52:11.in track and field since 1976, but young Keshorn Walcott, the junior

:52:11. > :52:16.champion, through two National Records, and I do not think anyone

:52:16. > :52:23.would have picked this result. Junior champion becoming a Olympic

:52:23. > :52:33.champion. There we go! I do not think anyone in the world of

:52:33. > :52:37.

:52:37. > :52:39.javelin would have picked that one, So we are still waiting for Mo

:52:39. > :52:44.Farah's second gold medal presentation, so while we wait,

:52:44. > :52:50.final thoughts on what has been a tremendous nine days of competition,

:52:50. > :52:55.Denise, you're an Stanning memory is... It has got to be Mo. Double

:52:55. > :53:00.Olympic champion, it has been a great time for British athletics

:53:00. > :53:03.and athletics in general. Colin? thoroughly enjoyed the whole

:53:03. > :53:08.journey, it has been wonderful, and to finish athletics on this very

:53:08. > :53:12.special night, Mo Farah getting the double and Jamaica setting the

:53:12. > :53:18.world record, the first time any team has gone under 37 seconds. I

:53:18. > :53:24.can remember when 18 first went and 38, France, a long time ago. -- a

:53:24. > :53:28.team. It has been tremendous. world records, two in sprint, and

:53:28. > :53:33.David Rudisha was absolutely fantastic. Michael, last word.

:53:33. > :53:38.entire week has been the best athletics championships I have ever

:53:38. > :53:42.witnessed, just the quality of all of the races, you know, but if I

:53:42. > :53:45.had to pick one performance, it would have to be David Rudisha,

:53:45. > :53:50.that was a phenomenal race from start to finish, great performance

:53:50. > :54:00.from him. Thanks for being part of it, all of you guys. This is the

:54:00. > :54:04.

:54:04. > :54:07.medal table at the end of the visions of 80,000 people being in

:54:07. > :54:11.the stadium every night shivering and sheltering beneath the rules,

:54:11. > :54:17.but apart from tonight it has been like Athens all over again,

:54:17. > :54:24.solitary and warm. All I can tell you is that it is now... I have got

:54:24. > :54:28.it written down, 1430 days until the next a Olympic track and field

:54:28. > :54:32.at the end, which will be the shot put qualifying for men in Rio! We

:54:32. > :54:38.look forward to that, a mouth- watering prospect, that is it from

:54:38. > :54:42.Haven't we had the most astonishing week of athletics with the most

:54:42. > :54:46.thrilling finale tonight with that world record in the relay by pot

:54:46. > :54:50.macro and friends and a truly wonderful Mo Farah victory? We will

:54:50. > :54:54.return for that medal ceremony whenever it happens. We are

:54:54. > :54:58.changing sport, but this could be tasty, one of the most eagerly

:54:58. > :55:03.anticipated boxing finals, going for gold is Luke Campbell and

:55:03. > :55:06.Ireland's John Joe Nevin in the bantamweight division. Quite

:55:06. > :55:10.possibly the British fans might be out shouted for the first time at

:55:10. > :55:13.the Games. They met in the semi- finals of last year's world

:55:13. > :55:22.championships with the Yorkshireman winning on countback. It could be

:55:22. > :55:26.close again. Jim Neilly and Richie It has been over 100 years in the

:55:26. > :55:30.making, but for the first time ever in the Olympic boxing history, we

:55:30. > :55:34.have a final between Great Britain and Ireland, two men who know each

:55:34. > :55:39.other so well and have so much respect for each other. In blue,

:55:39. > :55:44.Luke Campbell, and his opponents in red from Ireland is John Joe Nevin,

:55:44. > :55:47.who was already putting his foot on top of the knee. The referee has

:55:47. > :55:52.had a good look at that and is saying, naughty boy, not a great

:55:52. > :55:56.start. Good start by Campbell, though, right hand into the face of

:55:56. > :56:01.the Irishman. This could not just go either way, I would suggest, it

:56:01. > :56:05.could be a very interesting contest in terms of tactics. Yeah, it is

:56:05. > :56:10.whoever can make his opponent make mistakes here. Classic game of

:56:10. > :56:14.physical chess, this one. Campbell is the better straight puncher, but

:56:14. > :56:19.Nevin is a superb counterpuncher, so it is who can make to lead,

:56:19. > :56:24.really. Campbell has started to establish his jab, but Nevin is

:56:24. > :56:27.very quick with the counters. You will see Nevin trying to draw the

:56:27. > :56:34.lead of Campbell, and he will come back with vast counters. Campbell

:56:34. > :56:38.has got to keep his garden as he comes forward. Good shot by

:56:38. > :56:43.Campbell with the left hand. The two met in the world championships

:56:43. > :56:48.in Azerbaijan, it was 12 apiece, and Campbell won on countback.

:56:48. > :56:52.Nevin has a decision from 2009 in the European Union Championships,

:56:52. > :56:58.but for my money it is Campbell who has landed with the cleaner shots

:56:58. > :57:02.in his opening round. Never has to try to get inside of him. -- Nevin.

:57:02. > :57:06.He sat back against the Cuban and let him come to him, but this is a

:57:06. > :57:09.change of tactic. It is not that good for Nevin, he had better

:57:09. > :57:14.success against the Cuban when he was on the back foot. Campbell is

:57:14. > :57:18.finally finding his range. Campbell has worked out Nevin's style very

:57:18. > :57:22.nicely and is using the reach advantage to very good effect. That

:57:22. > :57:26.is another good stabbing shot into the face of the Irishman, who tried

:57:26. > :57:29.to get in with the counter, but Campbell sensibly holes. Two

:57:29. > :57:36.minutes gone in his cat-and-mouse opening round in his bantamweight

:57:36. > :57:39.final in London. Campbell's hands are quicker, Nevin was quicker

:57:39. > :57:44.against the world champion, but that is better from Nevin on the

:57:44. > :57:48.counter. He is maybe the stronger of the two, and again that stabbing

:57:48. > :57:52.write hand from Campbell is the perfect punch to counter Nevin.

:57:52. > :57:55.Nevin is realising that he has got to get close to his opponent, he

:57:55. > :58:05.has to quicken his feet out if he is going to score, but this is

:58:05. > :58:13.

:58:13. > :58:21.A good lad from Luke Campbell. I think he has picked up the good few

:58:21. > :58:26.shots. Nevin is coming forward. He knows what the task involves. He

:58:26. > :58:30.caught the key been in the semi- final with a very good left-hand.

:58:30. > :58:40.Campbell has boxed very cleverly in the opening round and has not

:58:40. > :58:50.conceded to match in the wake of punches. -- too much in the way of

:58:50. > :58:56.

:58:56. > :59:02.punches. Luke Campbell has of won A good performance from Campbell in

:59:02. > :59:08.that round. Nevin was a bit wayward with his shots. The more direct

:59:08. > :59:14.punchers word from Campbell. Never in it just got his timing wrong.

:59:14. > :59:21.Campbell moved in with those fast, straight shots. Much better work

:59:21. > :59:29.from the British boxer. Nevin is not boxing like he did against the

:59:29. > :59:39.Cuban he boxed in the previous round. He is coming forward. This

:59:39. > :59:43.

:59:43. > :59:51.man has to keep it at range. He is boxing very well indeed. This is

:59:51. > :59:56.the brother between these two. Campbell in blue from Britain at

:59:56. > :00:03.the World Championships. Nevin has to get in. You can see that Nevin

:00:03. > :00:12.is wary of the jab of Campbell. He knows had difficult it is too trite

:00:12. > :00:19.and canter. Lovely stuff from Campbell. -- to try and cancer.

:00:19. > :00:25.Better work from the British boxer. It is the left hand to the midriff

:00:25. > :00:34.to follow it up. Nevin looks a little slow footed the stub he

:00:34. > :00:41.moved around the ring against the world champion. -- sloth at it.

:00:41. > :00:48.Campbell is picking him off brilliantly. Straight punches. The

:00:48. > :00:54.victory in a final can hinge on a few things - how they are feeling -

:00:54. > :01:02.did the last contest take too much out of them? It looks like Campbell

:01:02. > :01:07.has fared better. It is the straight punching of Campbell.

:01:07. > :01:13.Perhaps the man In the Moon can see them. Better by Nevin. He needs to

:01:13. > :01:19.land a lot more of those if he does not want this second round and the

:01:19. > :01:24.gold medal chance to slip away. It may not be over. Campbell needs to

:01:24. > :01:30.stick to his work and do what he has been doing all the way through.

:01:30. > :01:38.The balance of Campbell is perfect. He is not leaning in. He is coming

:01:38. > :01:43.back to the en garde position. That is why he is having better success.

:01:43. > :01:49.Campbell was a little bit slow with his feet and slowed with his attack.

:01:49. > :01:56.Has this opened the door for John Jo Nevin? That is what he did

:01:56. > :02:02.against the Cuban. He was quicker with both hands. That was good that

:02:02. > :02:08.work by Nevin. Campbell needs to get back to straight boxing. He

:02:08. > :02:14.lands with a good left hand to the midriff of Campbell. Nevin is

:02:14. > :02:24.stalking was a good but wet by camel. It is who can keep his nerve

:02:24. > :02:24.

:02:24. > :02:29.and keep the boxing going? -- good footwork by Campbell. Nevin is

:02:29. > :02:39.starting to steal things like he did against the Cuban. What a great

:02:39. > :02:43.

:02:43. > :02:48.right hand! Again, as Campbell man's, he is conceding points. He

:02:48. > :02:53.may still have a little lead to take into the last round. It will

:02:53. > :03:03.be desperately close in this historic final between Great

:03:03. > :03:03.

:03:03. > :03:09.Britain and Ireland. Nevin got the second round. Do not give him a

:03:09. > :03:15.shot. I've told you about it. difference in that round his Nevin

:03:15. > :03:20.was better counter-attacking. He was finding his range a lot better.

:03:20. > :03:26.Nevin came back with the right hand - time and time again in that round.

:03:26. > :03:36.That is why he won it. He was beating Campbell to the punch. It

:03:36. > :03:38.

:03:38. > :03:48.was a great shot by Nevin. It was the best one of the round. What a

:03:48. > :03:53.

:03:53. > :04:03.Three minutes between the bands raids of Great Britain and Ireland

:04:03. > :04:04.

:04:04. > :04:08.and an Olympic gold medal. -- the bantamweights. There is only a

:04:09. > :04:15.point between them. Nevin is looking more confident. Campbell

:04:15. > :04:21.needs to get back to his boxing. Campbell is trying to get in and

:04:21. > :04:26.out. He'd lost his balance slightly. Every second is precious. Every

:04:27. > :04:36.punch is painted with gold or silver. Nothing gets into the body.

:04:36. > :04:43.Keep it up says the referee! The judges may have scored that.

:04:43. > :04:50.Campbell is being a bit tentative. Nevin told to go to the neutral

:04:50. > :04:57.corner. I think it is the best from Campbell. The best has to be tapped

:04:57. > :05:04.in so that the waistband can be seen. Back they come again. Still

:05:04. > :05:14.plenty of time. Nevin gets in quickly. Better from Campbell. Off

:05:14. > :05:14.

:05:14. > :05:19.the side of the Irish man's head. Both countries have gold through

:05:19. > :05:25.their women boxers. Who will be the first man from Britain or Ireland

:05:25. > :05:32.to take gold? Ireland only have Nevin as their banker. Britain have

:05:32. > :05:38.a couple more. Campbell has to use his jab more. The straight shot and

:05:38. > :05:47.bringing the left hand through. Never needs more shots, I think.

:05:47. > :05:55.Has he given him a cad? -- Nevin. There was a punch. He was off

:05:55. > :06:03.balance. That will only count as one scoring points Macro on the

:06:03. > :06:09.computer. -- point on the computer. Campbell is retreating. He is

:06:09. > :06:19.trying to draw his man armed. Desperate times for Nevern. Nothing

:06:19. > :06:22.

:06:22. > :06:27.came back in reply. -- Nevin. Gold and silver at stake. Clever work by

:06:27. > :06:37.Campbell. He is making his man think. He needs a couple of punches

:06:37. > :06:38.

:06:38. > :06:42.to win theirs. Campbell is holding on sensibly. -- win this. He is

:06:42. > :06:52.allowing Nevin to make the initiative was dug that is better.

:06:52. > :06:52.

:06:52. > :06:58.A good shot by Kamal. -- Campbell. It could come down to the last

:06:59. > :07:06.punch of the contest. A good punch from Campbell. Campbell has just

:07:06. > :07:11.about done enough. Remember the standing eight count will only have

:07:11. > :07:18.counted as a one point. Nevin is desperate to get back into it.

:07:18. > :07:25.Campbell covers up. 10 seconds to go. Here comes never end. Good work

:07:25. > :07:35.to the body by the Irish man. Is it enough? This will be a nail-biting

:07:35. > :07:35.

:07:35. > :07:40.last second. What the finish! Confident Campbell raises his hands.

:07:40. > :07:48.They think Luke Campbell has done it again will start the British

:07:48. > :07:55.corner things Luke Campbell has done it again. -- done it again.

:07:55. > :08:01.Did he had enough for the final? The judges will decide. It was very

:08:01. > :08:07.close. There was that left hand from Campbell as Nevin came in a

:08:07. > :08:14.bit recklessly. He made a mistake. Campbell brought him on to his long

:08:14. > :08:19.right hand. Better work from Campbell. Campbell things he has it.

:08:20. > :08:27.We shall find out. We shall find out. The scores will be given by

:08:27. > :08:36.the man on the PA system. We will get the decision. Will it be Cool

:08:36. > :08:42.Hand Luke or the ice man from Northern Ireland? Ladies and

:08:48. > :08:56.champion, in the blue corner from Great Britain, Luke Campbell.

:08:56. > :09:01.Campbell has got it. Luke Campbell is the Olympic bantamweight

:09:01. > :09:05.champion and a performance out of the very top drawer. Against an

:09:05. > :09:14.assault rifle and old friends. Their families know each other back

:09:14. > :09:24.in Ireland. Luke Campbell is the first British boxer to win Olympic

:09:24. > :09:27.

:09:27. > :09:33.gold in his division since 1908. In You are an Olympic champion. How

:09:33. > :09:39.are you feeling? Lost for words. Very emotional. I have worked for

:09:39. > :09:45.it all my life. I cannot believe it is here. You showed great maturity

:09:45. > :09:51.in the ring. Did it help that you knew him really well? You can look

:09:51. > :10:00.at it both ways. He knew me really well as well. He is a top fighter.

:10:00. > :10:05.It is very difficult, the fight. It was very technical. From where I

:10:05. > :10:10.was standing, you seemed to get your tactics spot on tonight. Tap -

:10:10. > :10:16.- attack when you needed and defence against an aggressive

:10:16. > :10:22.fighter. He was strong at punching. I had to be aware of that. I had to

:10:22. > :10:29.be on my game to win. I was. One of your inspirations was the great

:10:29. > :10:35.Muhammad Ali. You are Olympic champions. I cannot believe it. I

:10:35. > :10:41.appreciate all the support - back home in Hull. You have made big

:10:41. > :10:48.headlines. Look down the lens and tell the people from Hull. I really

:10:48. > :10:57.appreciate all your support. Bankia very much. If they enjoy the

:10:57. > :11:02.ceremony. -- thank you very much. brilliant effort. Two more boxing

:11:02. > :11:08.finals tomorrow. We will be at the diving shortly. First, let's hear

:11:08. > :11:14.from the Jamaican relay team with Phil Jones. Here is a team that

:11:14. > :11:20.only deals in gold medals and world records. Was there talk to win in a

:11:20. > :11:25.world record time? We have had a lot of practice this year. This

:11:25. > :11:30.year been nailed it. I was expecting a fast time. That was

:11:30. > :11:38.really a fast time. You have been a part of this so many times before

:11:38. > :11:44.but was it extra special? It is almost like home. We have a huge

:11:44. > :11:50.following in the stands - a lot of Jamaican flags. The USA rant a fast

:11:50. > :11:56.race. We knew they had been doing extra practices. We are a bit above

:11:56. > :12:03.them right now. The world record, we did a very fast time. Sadly,

:12:03. > :12:07.Asafa Powell was not here. If he were on the team, maybe something

:12:07. > :12:17.faster. You are having a quick catch up. Give me of thoughts on

:12:17. > :12:17.

:12:17. > :12:24.the world record and on your Games as a whole. It has been good. We

:12:24. > :12:30.are good. We did the handover is pretty well. The university has

:12:30. > :12:36.supported us - Birmingham University. You are great. Usain

:12:36. > :12:42.Bolt, your turn. Congratulations. The double triple. You have done it

:12:42. > :12:46.- amazing! It is always a beautiful thing to end on this note. This

:12:46. > :12:51.year we did it again. It is a wonderful feeling to end on a high

:12:51. > :12:57.note. It is a great championships. The team came out and gave their

:12:57. > :13:03.all. Aletta could have gone faster. We will leave room for improvement.

:13:03. > :13:10.People here love you and the sport needs you. Will you go on for

:13:10. > :13:16.another four years? I have thought about it. It will be very hard. I'm

:13:16. > :13:22.sure there will be a lot more young cats coming up to run. For me, I

:13:22. > :13:30.would take it a step at a time for stumps we do not see you here too

:13:30. > :13:40.often. -- at a time. Maybe when the tax laws changed. Exactly! Maybe

:13:40. > :13:45.

:13:45. > :13:51.I would like to say big up to Birmingham, that is where we train,

:13:51. > :13:56.the supporters, the gym work, for me, it is an honour, thank you, for

:13:56. > :14:01.real, Brunel, it is awesome, the university has done great for us,

:14:01. > :14:05.we will come every summer and stay, we get a lot of support from

:14:06. > :14:10.everybody there, so thank you guys. Thank you for your time. No problem,

:14:10. > :14:15.not a problem, guys, everybody in England, I love you, thank you for

:14:16. > :14:23.your support, I wish I could run here every day. Johnny English, you

:14:23. > :14:28.are great! We are all doing the Mobot now, he even does that draw.

:14:28. > :14:34.Let's see how it Hain -- Tom Daley got on in the 10m platform. He

:14:34. > :14:38.thought the Chinese would take some beating tweeting China seemed

:14:38. > :14:41.unstoppable. Gary, it has been hugely dramatic

:14:41. > :14:46.here in the Aquatics Centre, because Tom Daley went for his

:14:46. > :14:54.first dive, they have six in total in this final, 12 have made it

:14:54. > :15:00.through, and he is going 9th each He was not happy, look at the look

:15:00. > :15:04.on his face. Look at him! The reason he was not happy was, as he

:15:04. > :15:09.was diving, flashlights were going off. It is not allowed while they

:15:09. > :15:16.are diving, so he and his coach objected, there was a little delay,

:15:16. > :15:21.would be be allowed to dive again? They decided that he would, and he

:15:21. > :15:26.scored 75.6 on his first dive, this was the second attempt. Could he do

:15:26. > :15:31.better with no flashlight photography? Incredible composure,

:15:31. > :15:36.to ask for the second dive, to do it straight away, and second time

:15:36. > :15:41.around he executed really well for a score of 91.8, averages of 8.5.

:15:41. > :15:46.To explain what you need to know about diving, there are seven

:15:46. > :15:49.judges in total, they take the talk macro and bottom schools to leave

:15:49. > :15:55.you with three, they multiply that by the difficulty of the dive, to

:15:55. > :16:02.give your score. You are looking at scores in the 90s, and the Chinese

:16:02. > :16:05.diverse, Lin Yue and Qiu Bo can get up to 100 in one dive. Tom was

:16:05. > :16:11.third after the first dive, 5th after the second, 4th after the

:16:11. > :16:15.third, and after a fantastic 4th dive, is now in bronze medal

:16:15. > :16:21.position. Lin Yue had a terrible fork dive and has moved right down.

:16:21. > :16:26.David Boudia of America, the 23- year-old, is leading head of Qiu Bo.

:16:26. > :16:31.Tom Daley, 18 years old, diving at his second Olympics is in bronze-

:16:31. > :16:35.medal position at the moment. They have two to go, so we are going to

:16:35. > :16:45.join our commentary team of Leon Taylor, silver-medallist at Athens

:16:45. > :16:49.

:16:49. > :16:53.It is a good dive, just finding himself a little bit off the pace.

:16:53. > :16:57.This is a good effort, but the class of the field we are seeing,

:16:57. > :17:07.even mid-80s, which is what this will get, leaves in a little bit

:17:07. > :17:11.

:17:11. > :17:21.fly the flag for the USA tonight. 8.5 is a good return, but not quite

:17:21. > :17:26.

:17:26. > :17:36.where it needs to be. He is looking time over his preparation. 3.6, the

:17:36. > :17:45.

:17:45. > :17:48.degree of difficulty. He is in 7th must perform this group, the

:17:48. > :17:54.backward three and a half somersaults in pike position. This

:17:54. > :18:04.is what Tom Daley has coming up next. Victor Minibaev still keeping

:18:04. > :18:04.

:18:05. > :18:09.himself in the next, he has been and he keeps the pressure on the

:18:09. > :18:16.front runners. This Russian is not going anywhere. He is in the 90s,

:18:16. > :18:22.that has lifted him into first place for the time being. Now the

:18:22. > :18:26.last dive from the next man you will see, Martin Wolfram, it

:18:26. > :18:36.probably caused him an injury. But he is going to carry on, back two

:18:36. > :18:41.

:18:41. > :18:46.and a half somersault with two and there, maybe that is the shoulder

:18:46. > :18:50.that he ripped on his last dive, only 64, that took him way out of

:18:50. > :18:58.contention. You can see in favouring the last arm to get out

:18:58. > :19:04.of the pool. -- the left arm. This is the 3.6 that Tom Daley had a

:19:04. > :19:08.second attempt on in round one. Well from his off the pace now.

:19:08. > :19:12.Only 20 years old, plenty of diving in front of him, but he will not

:19:12. > :19:22.feature in the medals today. A big name to watch out for at the 2016

:19:22. > :19:28.

:19:28. > :19:38.better than the preliminaries, and the step up from the semi-final.

:19:38. > :19:47.

:19:48. > :19:53.is the one that we wanted, that is the one that we got! Oh, my

:19:53. > :19:59.goodness me! Now it is down to the others, that is so decisive. This

:19:59. > :20:05.dive is huge, it should get over 100 points. Back three and a half

:20:05. > :20:10.in AIPAC position. That is the dive of the meet for him, absolutely

:20:10. > :20:20.buries it, out of sight, while! The pressure is on for the rest of the

:20:20. > :20:33.

:20:33. > :20:37.for the time being. This man has always responded in kind every time

:20:37. > :20:47.that Tom Daley has done something special, and he has done some

:20:47. > :20:55.

:20:55. > :21:01.The difference is that Tom Daley was clean, vertical entry, without

:21:01. > :21:05.splash. But he was bang on the money, vertical, but he has thrown

:21:05. > :21:09.up a little bit and splash. But he did have a bit of a lead, and this

:21:09. > :21:13.could even things up, they could be level-pegging. They can only be a

:21:13. > :21:19.small amount of points between them. This is going down to the final

:21:19. > :21:27.dive, as I thought it might! And Tom Daley is in the next. Can I

:21:27. > :21:35.tell you something? 0.15 separates Tom Daley and David Boudia, and

:21:36. > :21:41.Daley is in front. Tom Daley leads David Boudia. Two Chinese to go,

:21:41. > :21:45.talking about the flash photography, we do not want his medal chances

:21:45. > :21:55.ruined by people wanting to get their snouts. Plenty of time for

:21:55. > :22:19.

:22:19. > :22:23.that when and if he is on the medal superb entry. He was faltering on

:22:23. > :22:27.his forwards 4 1/2, getting less than 70, but this will see him back

:22:27. > :22:33.at in the 80s and will keep him in contention. He will be looking for

:22:33. > :22:38.9 and 10 to get back up with Daley and David Boudia. Nearly tipping

:22:38. > :22:41.over from vertical, a little bit too much splash. Oh, it is going to

:22:42. > :22:49.be tight. I wonder how much of a buffer they have got ahead of Lin

:22:49. > :22:55.Yue? 91.8, he matches David Boudia, but he does not match Daley. He is

:22:55. > :23:05.in third with one to come in round five. And that one to come is the

:23:05. > :23:13.

:23:13. > :23:23.vertical but bang on the money, completely ripped entry, he is in

:23:23. > :23:31.

:23:37. > :23:45.motion, forward 4 1/2, good dive, good entry. Let's see what we are

:23:45. > :23:52.looking at. I don't believe it. are watching on the BBC, three

:23:52. > :24:02.divers separated by 0.15 on a mark. That is going into the final round,

:24:02. > :24:25.

:24:25. > :24:32.and who is at the top? Tom Daley, with the bluntest of knives, it is

:24:32. > :24:39.unbelievable! Quite truly remarkable, what we are seeing here.

:24:44. > :24:52.Is the move secure?! Check the nuts and bolts, just and case. It is

:24:52. > :24:59.that kind of night. Riley McCormick to finish his programme. Back 3 1/2

:24:59. > :25:09.somersaults with pike, 3.6. He has enjoyed the experience. This time

:25:09. > :25:21.

:25:22. > :25:28.round he has gone better than last out last year's champion, and he

:25:28. > :25:31.has nailed it again, what a dive to finish on. 3.6 degree of difficulty,

:25:31. > :25:36.that will get him well over 90 points, and a very respectable

:25:36. > :25:41.score for this young Canadian, only 20 years old, his second Olympic

:25:41. > :25:46.Games. What a performance he has put in, but I do not think he would

:25:46. > :25:51.get above 10th, and for this kind of total score, it is harsh at the

:25:51. > :25:57.very least. Look at this. He has loved it. He loves the crowd. He is

:25:57. > :26:07.looking up at the board, go in, where my? First at the moment, but

:26:07. > :26:14.

:28:50. > :29:05.

:29:05. > :29:10.the 500 club easily. We enjoyed thinking? What is he doing? What is

:29:10. > :29:20.going through his mind? He has had a while to think about things.

:29:20. > :29:33.

:29:49. > :29:54.be right up there as well. He will not feature in the medals. He has

:29:54. > :29:58.dived out of his skin. He was lucky to make it through the

:29:58. > :30:06.preliminaries. This mark would win the competition anywhere around the

:30:06. > :30:13.world normally. What will the winning score be tonight?

:30:13. > :30:17.Astonishing! Absolutely astonishing! Sascha Klein has

:30:17. > :30:26.threatened on the evidence of last night and the semi-finals this

:30:26. > :30:36.morning. It has not proved to be that way it after a very difficult

:30:36. > :30:48.

:30:48. > :30:53.used to seeing best. It used to be a difficulty of 3.8. It was

:30:53. > :31:00.downgraded to 3.6 in 2009. Tom Daley has already used this. This

:31:01. > :31:10.could prove critical. Tom Daley is finishing on a 3.3. He needs to

:31:11. > :31:11.

:31:11. > :31:18.match these 3.6s. Sascha Klein falls just short of 500. We could

:31:18. > :31:23.have had nine, 10 people over 500 today. He has enjoyed his

:31:23. > :31:33.experience. No kiss for the camera at this time - just a wave.

:32:39. > :32:49.They're all in the 500 range. It will be made to 500s that will win

:33:53. > :33:54.

:33:55. > :34:04.round so far. A big smile. Look at that! I am probably not even going

:34:05. > :34:10.

:34:10. > :34:18.to get a medal. These marks are bounce back from injury he took a

:34:27. > :34:35.that might have been created. a superb diver. He has really hurt

:34:35. > :34:43.himself. You can see the grimness on his face. He cannot even do at a

:34:43. > :34:52.stroke to get into the side. Look who is on the board! This is big

:34:52. > :35:02.for Tom Daley. He only has a 3.3 to finish on. He needs to match the

:35:02. > :35:04.

:35:04. > :35:09.3.6s. What will this mark? Courageous pictures. He is diving

:35:09. > :35:17.with a severe injury and still going over 500 will start

:35:17. > :35:27.considering how badly injured he was, that is amazing. There is the

:35:27. > :35:27.

:35:27. > :35:37.pain. Now, Tom Daley. Preparation for the biggest dive of your life.

:35:37. > :35:37.

:35:37. > :35:43.World champion 2009 in Rome. That was his biggest moment thus far.

:35:43. > :35:48.European champion 2012. None of that holds a candle to this. This

:35:48. > :35:51.is what you have worked for for a whole decade. This is what you

:35:51. > :36:00.imagined it would be like and you said you would represent Great

:36:10. > :36:16.

:36:16. > :36:24.do any more than that. It needed to be perfect. Apart from a minute bit

:36:24. > :36:31.of splash, it was perfect. The crowd is on its feet. Tom Daley has

:36:31. > :36:41.done everything he can. David Beckham is on his feet. It is not

:36:41. > :36:46.

:36:47. > :36:53.quite worth a 10th but there we go. -- a 10. 556.95. Tom Daley, you

:36:53. > :37:03.could not have done any more. It is out of your hands now. It is a

:37:03. > :37:13.

:37:13. > :37:20.smile! Yes, yes. Now the agony begins. He has to sit back and

:37:20. > :37:28.watch the others. The others, including the equal second place

:37:28. > :37:38.diver going into the final round. He has a higher tariff dive, 3.6.

:37:44. > :37:51.Foster he has performed it. That is actually really good. He only needs

:37:51. > :37:57.90 points to get above Tom Daley. I think he well. He has performed

:37:57. > :38:04.outstandingly today. It is a worthy recipient of an Olympic medal. What

:38:04. > :38:10.colour is yet to be decided but that is a dive and a half. He has

:38:10. > :38:20.six at a six and he has been consistent all day. Wow, look at

:38:20. > :38:25.

:38:25. > :38:34.that! Tom Daley's hopes of a gold card - but he has got a medal. -- a

:38:34. > :38:40.gold are dashed. He has topped the score of Tom Daley by 12 points.

:38:40. > :38:48.What is standard we have seen! Still, two more to go, if your

:38:48. > :38:55.nerves can stand it. Mine are shredded. That was a good dive but

:38:55. > :39:01.he has left himself too much to do. He will not feature in the medals.

:39:01. > :39:08.Qui Bo still to come. He has faltered. That has cost him. He has

:39:08. > :39:13.been outclassed on this final round. Not quite as neat and tidy as it

:39:14. > :39:19.needed to be. He is out of the medals, probably a fourth-place

:39:19. > :39:29.finish will start this means it is definitely a medal Panathenaic

:39:29. > :39:52.

:39:52. > :39:59.win. We had such drama in Beijing with the last dive. 102 required.

:39:59. > :40:07.This has to be absolutely spot on or it is American gold. I do not

:40:07. > :40:16.know which way it will go. That is spot on as well. It is down to the

:40:16. > :40:22.judges. It is worth nines, maybe 9.5. Will he sneak it? It is bronze

:40:22. > :40:31.for Tom Daley. He was in second place after this round. It is the

:40:31. > :40:41.same dive. What will Qui Bo be awarded? What is happening? He has

:40:41. > :40:51.got what? Let's see the marks. They are not up on the board yet. A

:40:51. > :40:52.

:40:52. > :41:00.computer malfunction. He has 100.8 which puts him in second place.

:41:00. > :41:09.David Boudia gets the gold. Tom Daley celebrates as only he can. It

:41:09. > :41:15.is a bronze medal, beaten by 12 points and 10 points from silver.

:41:15. > :41:19.Celebrations from America and celebrations by Great Britain. Tom

:41:19. > :41:29.Daley will show as his swimming prowess as well as his diving

:41:29. > :41:30.

:41:30. > :41:40.capabilities as well. Look at Qui Bo. He is to stop. Look at Tom

:41:40. > :41:42.

:41:42. > :41:50.Daley! He was a class act. Well done, Tom! I am so proud of you. Or

:41:51. > :41:59.your team, or your family. Amazing! Everyone was here to see a show.

:41:59. > :42:04.They got exactly that. 15th after the preliminaries, force after the

:42:04. > :42:10.semi-finals. Third in the final. Beaten by 12 points in a

:42:10. > :42:17.competition where the winner got five had and 68.65. Qui Bo, we

:42:17. > :42:27.expected him to win. -- 406 DA Points 65. All the plaudits come up

:42:27. > :42:28.

:42:28. > :42:34.all the gnaws -- all the plaudits, all the noise are for Tom Daly. He

:42:34. > :42:41.has been through an emotional roller-coaster. You would not know

:42:41. > :42:48.it by his face. Absolute elation and joy as some have fired. He has

:42:48. > :42:52.a collection - World Championship gold, European Championship gold,

:42:52. > :43:02.Commonwealth Championship gold and now an Olympic bronze medal to add

:43:02. > :43:11.

:43:11. > :43:21.to the collection. He will return tears, so many tears for China, but

:43:21. > :43:22.

:43:22. > :43:26.absolute smiles as wide as the What an amazing contest, and full

:43:26. > :43:32.credit to this man, David Boudia, who dived out of his skin, he was

:43:32. > :43:38.sensational, taking the gold medal for the USA, but Tom Daley, Tom

:43:38. > :43:43.Daley! His second the Olympics, his first was at the age of 14, his

:43:43. > :43:48.second at 18, a bronze medal! You have to celebrate that as the

:43:48. > :43:53.ultimate! It was a diving master class today, David Boudia was

:43:53. > :44:01.faultless, Cuba was only good enough for silver, and Daley, under

:44:01. > :44:04.all that pressure, dive after dive, Olympic medal. He led for just a

:44:04. > :44:08.fraction of a second after the 5th dive, at the end of that round,

:44:08. > :44:12.that was sensational, but it was always going to be hard with his

:44:12. > :44:18.6th dive because it was not as high a difficulty rating. Such a

:44:18. > :44:23.dramatic start. The re-dive! other divers finished on that, so

:44:23. > :44:28.he had already used the 3.6 at the beginning of this programme. The

:44:28. > :44:31.only had 3.3 left at the end, his best dive, and he delivered. What a

:44:31. > :44:36.performance, I do not have the words to express how proud I am of

:44:36. > :44:41.that performance today. The first individual medallists since 1960,

:44:41. > :44:46.what a worthy recipient. You won silver in Athens, the rate what Tom

:44:46. > :44:50.Daley has done here as greater than that in terms of performing under

:44:50. > :44:55.pressure, bringing himself up for the big occasion, saying, this is

:44:55. > :44:59.my moment? Look at the build up, he is only 18, but it has been well-

:44:59. > :45:04.documented, the adversity he has had to deal with. The expectation

:45:04. > :45:08.was unbelievable, and he felt it. In the preliminaries, that was not

:45:08. > :45:13.the Tom Daley we saw tonight, but he turned it around, he was on fire

:45:13. > :45:17.this morning, and the click up a gear this evening, what an awesome

:45:17. > :45:20.competition! If you think of what people have had to go through in

:45:20. > :45:24.the build-up to this Olympics, nobody has had to deal with more

:45:24. > :45:29.than Tom Daley, the death of his father just over a year ago,

:45:29. > :45:35.recollecting himself, getting here, training as hard as he does, and it

:45:35. > :45:38.comes down to 1.6 seconds from top to bottom. Unbelievable! How much

:45:38. > :45:42.attention was then that competition? David Boudia seems to

:45:42. > :45:47.respond and respond, but it was all about keeping a cool head. We

:45:47. > :45:52.expected to see the Chinese diver on the podium, but 4th, Lin Yue,

:45:52. > :45:57.anyone can make mistakes. Qiu Bo was devastated, he thought that it

:45:57. > :46:04.was his, he is an amazing diver, but he was outclassed by David

:46:04. > :46:09.Boudia. A great contest, gold for the USA, silver for China, but he

:46:09. > :46:14.was devastated with that. Pele did with the bronze medal is Tom Daley,

:46:14. > :46:18.a top-class performance. -- elated. We will be hearing from him very

:46:18. > :46:22.shortly. We will be back with Clare for that,

:46:22. > :46:26.what a sensational performance, that was incredible. Michael

:46:26. > :46:29.Johnson is with me for a reason, because an extraordinarily great

:46:29. > :46:39.night of athletics, and we can go back into the stadium because we

:46:39. > :46:40.

:46:40. > :46:48.are about to get the medal ceremony We had 12 1/2 laps of tension and

:46:48. > :46:52.this huge crowd were on their feet long before it approached the

:46:52. > :46:57.finish, and Thomas Longosiwa were ended up providing the best

:46:57. > :47:04.challenge that Kenya could offer. Very well done to him. I am not

:47:04. > :47:07.sure he would have expected to take a medal here. The times were

:47:07. > :47:17.irrelevant, I will not even read them out, because it was a slow

:47:17. > :47:25.

:47:25. > :47:32.5,000m. It is all about who came The silver medal to this young man,

:47:32. > :47:36.Dejen Gebremeskel. He tried to chase Mo Farah home last year in

:47:36. > :47:41.Daegu, he ran him down in the home straight, he could not do it then

:47:41. > :47:47.and he could not do it this time. He got one step closer at, and he

:47:47. > :47:51.is a very good athlete, the quickest man in the world this year.

:47:51. > :47:56.But in this type of race, those sort of times are completely

:47:56. > :48:06.irrelevant. It is silver for Ethiopia. And just listen to this!

:48:06. > :48:15.

:48:15. > :48:21.They announce Mo Farah or as the Worth the wait! In all senses. His

:48:21. > :48:25.second gold medal, the double Olympic champion, 10,000 and now

:48:25. > :48:29.5,000m, he must be bursting with pride, Brendan. He's certainly must

:48:29. > :48:34.be bursting with pride, and he will be bursting with more pride fairly

:48:34. > :48:38.soon, I'm sure it is going to be served Mohammed Farah at the end of

:48:38. > :48:42.the year, and nobody deserves it more. There has never in a moment

:48:42. > :48:52.in athletics like this before, it has been such a privilege, it has

:48:52. > :48:52.

:48:52. > :49:39.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 81 seconds

:49:39. > :49:45.been a long journey, but he has A wonderful outpouring of national

:49:45. > :49:51.pride. His wife and his daughter is celebrating with the whole nation.

:49:51. > :49:58.One of the greatest feats that our country has ever seen in the sport

:49:58. > :50:04.of athletics. And you know, Brendan, people are going to say, which one

:50:04. > :50:08.did you prefer? If you have got two kids, you love them both equally,

:50:08. > :50:18.and he will love both of these gold medals equally, none ranks above

:50:18. > :50:22.the other. Go, Mo! 160,000 people will be able to say, I was there.

:50:22. > :50:28.Saturday night at the London Olympic Stadium, Omagh wins, and

:50:28. > :50:33.his daughter celebrates! -- Mo. Wonderful scenes inside the Olympic

:50:33. > :50:38.Stadium, Mo Farah, the British hero at 5,000m and 10,000m. You have

:50:38. > :50:43.been in many stadiums and many big events over the years, Michael, how

:50:43. > :50:48.does this compare? It was a fantastic atmosphere from start to

:50:48. > :50:53.finish, and Mo started it last Saturday with a fantastic

:50:53. > :50:57.performance in the 10,000m, and tonight he was successful again.

:50:57. > :51:03.There was a little bit of a question mark on the 5,000 for him,

:51:03. > :51:07.the 10,000 we were pretty sure that he could bring it home. After the

:51:07. > :51:12.semi-finals of the 5,000, he did not look great in at race, and his

:51:12. > :51:16.10,000m will take a lot out of you, and then the 5,000 semi-finals as

:51:16. > :51:21.well, and this track is really hard, that is why we are seeing fast

:51:21. > :51:25.times. Great for sprinters, not full distance, so it took a lot out

:51:25. > :51:29.of his legs, but the key was it he was going to be able to recover in

:51:29. > :51:34.time for this final, and he was able to do it. You know, Mo has

:51:34. > :51:37.really arrived as a distance runner, we have seen him for so many are

:51:37. > :51:41.showing great potential, and he went to the US and started training

:51:41. > :51:45.their last year, and physically he showed, OK, at the World

:51:45. > :51:50.Championships, I can do this. But this year that gave him so much

:51:50. > :51:54.confidence, and the 10,000m medal gave him the confidence to compete.

:51:54. > :52:00.You mentioned the sprinters, and we saw an extraordinary performance

:52:00. > :52:09.from the Jamaican relay tame in the 4x100 metres team, setting a new

:52:09. > :52:12.world record. This is their medal ceremony. Another huge roar goes up

:52:12. > :52:16.any stadium, the last one that they were here in London, who knows

:52:16. > :52:20.whether this quartet will stay together or not? Probably doubtful,

:52:20. > :52:27.Nesta Carter and Michael Frater have done this Jamaican team proud

:52:27. > :52:35.over the last four years. Yohan Blake came into the squad last year.

:52:35. > :52:45.And of course with this man, they are unstoppable! I bet they do not

:52:45. > :52:46.

:52:46. > :52:55.even practise much. The other two guys need a routine, come on, try

:52:55. > :53:00.Great athletes in their own right, Nesta Carter and Michael Frater,

:53:00. > :53:06.but this is where the real action takes place, round that Top bend,

:53:06. > :53:16.Yohan Blake was incredible, and Bolt wrote it home for a new world

:53:16. > :53:23.

:53:23. > :53:32.record, 36.84. Jamaica, the Olympic # Eternal Father, bless our land

:53:32. > :53:38.# Guard us with Thy mighty hand # Keep us free from evil powers

:53:38. > :53:48.# Be our light through countless hours

:53:48. > :53:48.

:53:48. > :53:58.# To our leaders, Great Defender # Grant true wisdom from above

:53:58. > :54:00.

:54:00. > :54:10.# Justice, truth be ours forever # Jamaica, land we love

:54:10. > :54:21.

:54:21. > :54:25.# Jamaica, Jamaica, Jamaica, land Remain ever see these four together

:54:25. > :54:29.again. If we do not, it has been an absolute pleasure watching them

:54:29. > :54:34.around. If you remember how good the Americans were when they broke

:54:34. > :54:40.the world record at Los Angeles, they are now running one second

:54:40. > :54:46.faster. Incredible! Terrific stuff, absolutely wonderful, put into

:54:46. > :54:50.perspective, if you can, the achievements of Usain Bolt, 6 gold

:54:51. > :54:54.medals, four world records, quite something. He has got a perfect

:54:54. > :54:58.record at the Olympic Games, and that is incredible. In Beijing, he

:54:58. > :55:01.showed as he was an incredible talent, but in London he came under

:55:01. > :55:05.a challenge and he showed us that he is a great competitor who can

:55:05. > :55:10.rise to the occasion when the cameras and the lights are on. He

:55:10. > :55:14.delivers, he is fantastic athlete, one of the best ever. Thanks for

:55:14. > :55:18.popping into join us, I know it was not expected, but it has been one

:55:18. > :55:23.hell of an evening! Before we move on, we can tell you about another

:55:23. > :55:28.medal ceremony. Earlier we show due Luke Campbell beating John Joe

:55:28. > :55:32.Nevin in the bantamweight division in the boxing, and we can go to

:55:32. > :55:36.that ceremony now and joined Jim Neilly. They had to work hard to

:55:36. > :55:41.talk John Joe Nevin into competing. He did not want to come, then he

:55:41. > :55:47.had a few decent warm-up contests, his confidence was restored, and he

:55:47. > :55:49.went into the final of confidence, having beaten the Cuban world

:55:49. > :55:56.champion and the world number one. But he could not replicate that

:55:56. > :56:00.form in the final. Having watched Katie Taylor take a gold medal for

:56:00. > :56:10.Ireland, the Irish fans and the Irish eyes were watching this man

:56:10. > :56:20.

:56:20. > :56:30.Gold-medallist, Olympic champion, representing Great Britain, Luke

:56:30. > :56:33.

:56:33. > :56:36.Hole will be the capital of Britain for quite some time to come. The

:56:36. > :56:41.amateur boxing club when Nick Bronte does such a fantastic job

:56:41. > :56:46.will be in ecstasy, and what a moment for all the British coaches

:56:47. > :56:50.here, the men led by Robert McCracken. Because he has a

:56:50. > :56:54.professional licence, he is not allowed to sit at ringside and

:56:54. > :57:00.watch his charges, but the men who deputised for him had C Luke

:57:00. > :57:10.Campbell, all the way through. For the first time in the boxing in

:57:10. > :57:10.

:57:10. > :57:58.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 81 seconds

:57:58. > :58:03.London, we have the national anthem Are a couple of days ago, it was

:58:03. > :58:07.Nicola Adams. I do not think, Richie Woodhall, it has sunk in, I

:58:07. > :58:11.do not think Luke Campbell can believe what he has achieved.

:58:11. > :58:16.think he is still in the zone, look, he is not even smiling, but the

:58:16. > :58:19.ultimate achievement, to win the Olympic gold medal, there is no

:58:19. > :58:24.better achievement as an amateur boxer, and he has done it,

:58:24. > :58:28.congratulations. Brilliant performance, what a night! We are

:58:28. > :58:33.almost done, but Gabby will be back after the news to round up a

:58:33. > :58:36.brilliant day. I understand Mr Beckham is amongst the guests.

:58:36. > :58:46.Before I say farewell, the headlines, and Britain have made

:58:46. > :58:48.

:58:48. > :58:52.significant progress on the medal a gold medal for Mo Farah, he gave

:58:52. > :58:58.a masterful performance in the 5,000m to complete the long-

:58:58. > :59:03.distance double in the space of seven days. Jamaica broke their own

:59:03. > :59:12.world record in the 4x100 metres with Usain Bolt bringing the baton

:59:12. > :59:16.home to end three gold medals for the second successive games. Luke

:59:16. > :59:24.Campbell realised his lifetime dreams as he floored Ireland's John

:59:24. > :59:28.Joe Nevin on his way to the Olympic bantamweight title tonight.

:59:28. > :59:38.Britain's Bolt in a boat, Ed McKeever -- to the gold medal at

:59:38. > :59:39.

:59:39. > :59:43.Eton Dorney in the 200m kayak bronze medal in a high-class 10m

:59:43. > :59:53.platform final, finishing less than 12 points behind surprise champion

:59:53. > :59:57.

:59:57. > :00:05.but there have been one or two metals added today, the gold medal

:00:05. > :00:10.tally is up to 28, and the final of the 62 went to Tom Daley, we saw

:00:10. > :00:14.that just a little while ago, he was on the podium to receive that

:00:14. > :00:18.bronze medal. Delighted, he was. We were hoping to get an interview,

:00:18. > :00:22.but he has not had the chance to speak to anyone at the Aquatics

:00:22. > :00:32.Centre, so we promised we would try to get him, and you'll see that

:00:32. > :00:33.

:00:33. > :00:36.Wonderful pictures. I will be back with the closing ceremony tomorrow

:00:36. > :00:40.night, what an Olympic Games we have had, from the remarkable

:00:40. > :00:50.opening ceremony, the rowing, cycling, athletics, boxing, diving,

:00:50. > :01:16.

:01:16. > :01:26.so many highlights. London has done It is Great Britain's first gold

:01:26. > :02:00.

:02:00. > :02:04.New line an Olympic champion! -- The crowd were absolutely

:02:04. > :02:08.incredible, this is what I have dreamt of my entire life. You look

:02:08. > :02:12.up to the crowd, every seat is taken and it is filled with Union

:02:12. > :02:19.flags. I am just so blown away. Unbelievable, I have never seen

:02:19. > :02:29.anything like it, dream come true! It has been amazing! You little

:02:29. > :02:52.

:02:52. > :03:00.Both Brownlee brothers on the Charlotte Dujardin has gold!
