:00:46. > :01:11.It is the final league match of the Pro12 season, and defending

:01:12. > :01:16.champions Glasgow are in Galway for a winner takes all clash. To victors

:01:17. > :01:20.a home semifinal in the play-offs and that could prove crucial if

:01:21. > :01:24.Warriors are to defend their title. I coming up it is Connacht against

:01:25. > :01:27.Glasgow. Good to have you with us. Connacht have been the form team of

:01:28. > :01:32.the season so far, Glasgow are getting thing right at the right

:01:33. > :01:36.time. They have won nine games in a row, can they make it ten? And

:01:37. > :01:42.guarantee that home semifinal. Andy Nicol is with us as always. What a

:01:43. > :01:45.way Glasgow have turned round their season but this Connacht side have

:01:46. > :01:50.been fantastic Half way through the season, I thought they were the best

:01:51. > :01:54.team I had seen live. They were good at, we covered the game at

:01:55. > :01:58.Murrayfield and the style of rugby they have been playing has been

:01:59. > :02:02.fantastic, they have stumbled in the last few weeks, conversely Glasgow

:02:03. > :02:06.have got their game going, so it is an interesting match up today. And

:02:07. > :02:12.for Glasgow's point of view the home semifinal is key. No team has

:02:13. > :02:16.visiting team has won a semifinal away from home, so hugely important

:02:17. > :02:19.but it is a tough one for Glasgow travelling to Galway. Yes, the

:02:20. > :02:27.sporting ground was a tough place to go. They have been playing well. It

:02:28. > :02:30.is a place they will go today, with such confidence going through their

:02:31. > :02:35.veins. They have qualified. Glasgow and Connacht are the only two teams

:02:36. > :02:38.guaranteed in the play-offs so Gregor there will be delighted to

:02:39. > :02:42.what has happened in the last few weeks. It has not just been about

:02:43. > :02:47.the stars it is about the squad players. 12 changes last week

:02:48. > :02:52.against Zebre. It is more like a first team back today. They will go

:02:53. > :02:56.all out to get the home semifinal. We saw Pat Lam there. Connacht have

:02:57. > :03:00.been the side, they are whipping boys of Irish rugby, they have been

:03:01. > :03:05.a different side this season. He has recruited well but he has them

:03:06. > :03:09.playing in a great style of rugby. Their offloading game was

:03:10. > :03:14.outstanding and Bundee Aki and Robbie Henshaw, that is a good a

:03:15. > :03:18.centre partnership as there is in the league. They have played

:03:19. > :03:21.fantastic, they have come under the radar they didn't lose many players

:03:22. > :03:25.in the World Cup. Henshaw was about the only one. They have managed to

:03:26. > :03:29.have that continuity. They have kept that momentum going. They have just

:03:30. > :03:34.stumbled in the last few weeks. They lost away at Treviso, which you

:03:35. > :03:38.never thought would happen. Their confidence maybe at the other levels

:03:39. > :03:43.to Glasgow's. A huge game for both today, but also a huge game for

:03:44. > :03:48.everyone. All the games are on at 3.00, on the Pro12, and pretty much

:03:49. > :03:52.every one means something. We have talked about Connacht Glasgow.

:03:53. > :04:00.Edinburgh have an outside chance of getting into the champion's cup.

:04:01. > :04:04.Leinster, then the Munster Scarlet, Ospreys Ulster, they will have a big

:04:05. > :04:10.say in who gets the fourth spot and who gets in the champion's cup.

:04:11. > :04:16.Zebre Newport, it doesn't look it has anything on it. If Zebre win

:04:17. > :04:20.they get the champion's cup spot. So all six games have a lot of things

:04:21. > :04:25.riding, which is brilliant for the league to go to the last weekend. We

:04:26. > :04:29.expect Treviso to lose because they are playing Leinster. Let talks

:04:30. > :04:31.about Glasgow's season. They had 20 players away for the World Cup

:04:32. > :04:34.earlier on, round about Christmas time we thought the wheels have come

:04:35. > :04:40.off the bogey here. They did. Look at this. There is Toulouse -- to

:04:41. > :04:43.lose to Edinburgh was bad enough, that second game which was at

:04:44. > :04:47.Murrayfield because they were under water. I thought they were going to

:04:48. > :04:50.struggle. They drew with Ospreys when they should have won. They lost

:04:51. > :04:55.that game over in Ulster, which again was at the start of the Six

:04:56. > :04:59.Nations, you thought at that time we could the league table here. Glasgow

:05:00. > :05:03.were in eighth spot. You thought they had no chance. They were 14

:05:04. > :05:09.points away I from a play off position. I spoke to degree gore

:05:10. > :05:14.Townsend, I said what are the chances of play off? He said I

:05:15. > :05:19.reckon we have, we have to win eight out of ten remaining to get into the

:05:20. > :05:23.play-offs. I said what about home semi, he said we have to go ten out

:05:24. > :05:27.of ten but that is unlikely. Here we are today. They are nine from nine.

:05:28. > :05:32.The run they have within on is fantastic. The victories have have

:05:33. > :05:38.been brilliant. There have been some tough games. The game Gregor said

:05:39. > :05:41.was that 12-6 win at home in the middle of the Six Nations, all kicks

:05:42. > :05:47.against Leinster, that set it up. They got the win against Ulster

:05:48. > :05:52.which was important. The two games against the Italians you would

:05:53. > :05:56.expect but the performance at park Scarlets against a side Scarlets who

:05:57. > :06:00.were sitting third in the league. That was a huge statement of intent,

:06:01. > :06:07.that the whole, the whole league looked at them and we are the 70

:06:08. > :06:13.point victory last week, so that nine game losing they have gone from

:06:14. > :06:17.eighth leading the Pro12. It has been a phenomenal run of results a,

:06:18. > :06:22.and it is not just about the star players coming back after the Six

:06:23. > :06:26.Nations, it is about the squad players, really setting the tone and

:06:27. > :06:31.making it hard for the Scotland players to come back. It has been a

:06:32. > :06:35.huge effort. Sorry, it really has been a fantastic effort from all the

:06:36. > :06:39.squad. Let us hear now from Gregor Townsend. He has been fantastic.

:06:40. > :06:43.Winner last season, hoping to be winners again. He spoke earlier to

:06:44. > :06:50.Phil. On day when you need a calculator

:06:51. > :06:53.and abacus to work out the top four placings, for Glasgow it is simple,

:06:54. > :06:58.a win and you have a home semifinal. That is right. We are hoping to come

:06:59. > :07:01.away with a win. We realise if we don't get the win, then an away

:07:02. > :07:06.semifinal is going to be much tougher. You said naming your team

:07:07. > :07:11.today is the toughest job you have had all season, an indication of the

:07:12. > :07:16.form they are showing at the moment. Absolutely, since the Six Nations we

:07:17. > :07:19.played really well, in part defensively, in parts attack, but

:07:20. > :07:23.there has ban growing confidence and momentum and this week to leave out

:07:24. > :07:29.players who played so well last week was very difficult, very difficult

:07:30. > :07:32.for them, and makes the job of the players that do get the privilege to

:07:33. > :07:36.play tonight and important one. We are getting used to Glasgow being in

:07:37. > :07:40.in situation, does that experience of making semifinals over the last

:07:41. > :07:47.few years help you in your job today? We will see. We have loved

:07:48. > :07:50.playing at this time of the year, we have a couple of semifinals we

:07:51. > :07:54.didn't win and a couple we have won, today we are treating this as a

:07:55. > :07:58.quarterfinal. This is such a big game for us and it will be knock out

:07:59. > :08:02.rugby, if you can get that home semifinal, it will be a huge

:08:03. > :08:06.advantage. If you look at the two teams on the pitch, this is almost

:08:07. > :08:10.the story of the Pro12, Glasgow coming from eighth and getting into

:08:11. > :08:14.the play-offs and Connacht who have been on the summit or near the whole

:08:15. > :08:19.of the season. Connacht are the story of this year's Pro12. They

:08:20. > :08:23.have played positive rugby, they have got a few players into the

:08:24. > :08:29.Ireland team by the way they are playing and they have been

:08:30. > :08:32.consistent. They have played a lot of games, an outstanding effort in

:08:33. > :08:37.Glenn noble so we have looked forward to this game. We know they

:08:38. > :08:41.are tough. They play positive rugby, well coached and have an excellent

:08:42. > :08:46.home record. It I will be tough for us. Yes, saying that Connacht have

:08:47. > :08:50.been the story of the Pro12. He will hope that Glasgow are the stories

:08:51. > :08:53.they will hope they will defend their title and they played

:08:54. > :08:58.fantastic rugby and entertaining rugby, we see a lot, but dominant

:08:59. > :09:01.rugby, and they are won games when they haven't played well N the

:09:02. > :09:05.second half of the season That is what you have do in a league

:09:06. > :09:10.campaign. You have to win ugly, but there is a few wins here, this was

:09:11. > :09:14.against the Dragons, in the off week, to Strauss came back and it

:09:15. > :09:18.was a great offload. But so important to win these games when

:09:19. > :09:27.you are getting players back, this is home against Cardiff, in the

:09:28. > :09:31.middle of the Six Nations, Facebook comes back -- Fraser Brown, he comes

:09:32. > :09:39.in and gets a try, so really important, but this, this for a

:09:40. > :09:43.game, Rory Clegg, 4-12 victory. He knocks over that crucial penalty

:09:44. > :09:51.they got the win against the top rival and against Ulster, when some

:09:52. > :09:55.of the big names back. Finn Russell. He went in, you could see, the

:09:56. > :10:02.ground was packed. Exciting tries so the big name came to the party. I

:10:03. > :10:06.said in the Six Nations, the Scotland players coming back, Stuart

:10:07. > :10:13.Hall, this try is reminiscent to that try in Dublin when he scored

:10:14. > :10:16.against Ireland. Look at the pace, the footwork, you have players like

:10:17. > :10:22.that, Stuart Hogg who everyone knows about. It is players like Rory Clegg

:10:23. > :10:31.who have made the difference, look at this play. Pat McCarthy has been

:10:32. > :10:36.involved. There is tarry Ray, names we have not said much about.

:10:37. > :10:44.Nakarawa does what he does. There is MacArthur and Bryce. An outstanding

:10:45. > :10:49.team try. In the last nine games they have averaged 34 points and

:10:50. > :10:55.five try, you heard Gregor saying they like playing in this weather,

:10:56. > :10:59.the score tells us you are not going to lose many. Connacht are a team

:11:00. > :11:03.who have dangerous. They have upset and scared a lot of teams. I was so

:11:04. > :11:08.impressed. This was against the Warriors at the start of the year.

:11:09. > :11:13.Look at that scrum. Dominance, and they are going for a try. It was one

:11:14. > :11:16.of those ones you never thought that the Glasgow should win this game at

:11:17. > :11:21.the start. They were so dominant. Look at the scrum. The key point is

:11:22. > :11:26.Dennis Buckler is not fit, he is injured and that could be a big

:11:27. > :11:32.difference, Bundee Aki has been outstanding. It is another try for

:11:33. > :11:36.Pulman for Connacht. This was against Edinburgh, this is when I

:11:37. > :11:40.was so impressed Marmion who does a wrap round, a lot the game goes

:11:41. > :11:44.through him. He is a good player. Pulls the shots well. You can see,

:11:45. > :11:49.he gets in behind him. It was a high tackle and they got a point from it.

:11:50. > :11:53.This is Bundee Aki who I have been impressed with all season. Lots of

:11:54. > :11:57.phases that Connacht are going through, they put Edinburgh to the

:11:58. > :12:01.sword there that night. Playing fantastic rugby. This was Leinster

:12:02. > :12:06.in their heyday, they would have been impressed. That is AJ MacGinty

:12:07. > :12:11.going through, recycling it, close to the line. Edinburgh are trying to

:12:12. > :12:14.pressure rite but Connacht, they don't lose their composure, they

:12:15. > :12:20.keep it there and it comes to Bundee Aki and he gets it. You could argue

:12:21. > :12:25.the defence was... But that is what Connacht can do, that is why I think

:12:26. > :12:29.that Glasgow, we have talked about their attacking game and it has been

:12:30. > :12:35.outstanding their defence has been good. It will be tested so it has to

:12:36. > :12:38.be bang on. What will be key in terms of Glasgow's performance,

:12:39. > :12:43.because we have seen the big player, they are back in today, all the guys

:12:44. > :12:47.are on show there. The squad will be hugely important, but this connacts

:12:48. > :12:52.side are dangerous. They can do great thing, they with win games.

:12:53. > :12:55.The weather is a factor, we saw in an interview with Greg there, there

:12:56. > :12:59.is rain. There was water on his top. That will be a different style of

:13:00. > :13:05.rugby. Last Friday, it was a beautiful night. They are offloading

:13:06. > :13:09.game. That puts pressure on the off loadling game but they have the

:13:10. > :13:12.ability to do it. I come back to the confidence. Their confidence is

:13:13. > :13:17.flying at the moment, so they have to go out and harness that, and the

:13:18. > :13:21.half-backs, Ali Price and fin Russell who is coming on the a game

:13:22. > :13:25.beautifully, go out there and make Glasgow play in the right parts of

:13:26. > :13:29.the field so they can control and dominate the game. If they do, I

:13:30. > :13:33.can't see them having a problem. They are too much for Connacht. That

:13:34. > :13:39.will hopefully set up for a home semifinal. It will be intriguing.

:13:40. > :13:44.Glasgow have to get a win, it is a home semifinal in a cup's week time.

:13:45. > :13:51.Fingers crossed in the studio and the dressing room. They have

:13:52. > :14:00.prepared all season. They are nine in a row, up against ten. These are

:14:01. > :14:05.special days at The sports ground. It might a there a a safety net

:14:06. > :14:09.already with qualification for the semifinals guaranteed but one look

:14:10. > :14:15.at the team sheets provides ample evidence there is evidence to play

:14:16. > :14:22.for. Home advantage in the semis and that entails. You couldn't make it

:14:23. > :14:25.up as we have heard from Dougie and Andy, some weeks ago Glasgow in

:14:26. > :14:31.eighth position have hauled themselves to the top of the league

:14:32. > :14:38.and being led out by the skipper, Joking. Skipper, Joking Jonny Gray.

:14:39. > :14:45.As you can see the weather conditions are wet and windy. Almost

:14:46. > :14:52.always wet and windy at The sports ground, but both teams declaring

:14:53. > :15:00.their intent and both teams set on home ties if they can get them. All

:15:01. > :15:12.changed in the front row. Jonny Gray comes in. A big change in the back

:15:13. > :15:16.three. Replaced by Peter Horne. And a big

:15:17. > :15:23.day for some of the Connacht players.

:15:24. > :15:30.In particular Marmion and O'Halloran playing for the 100th time. Leading

:15:31. > :15:40.the team out. And as Andy said, Kieran Marmion is a key player.

:15:41. > :15:46.It defends its line fantastically well, they famously this season

:15:47. > :15:56.defended a 7- 0/2-time lead against Leinster here. -- 7-0 half-time

:15:57. > :15:59.lead. John Muldoon is a hugely influential figure, not just for his

:16:00. > :16:03.historical record. No one has played influential figure, not just for his

:16:04. > :16:06.ball games or more minutes of this competition but it is a Connacht

:16:07. > :16:14.side that have lost three of the last four. John Muldoon the captain

:16:15. > :16:18.comes in. Bundee Aki is a key figure, as is Matt Healy on the

:16:19. > :16:28.wing, with nine tries, he is the competition's top scorer. The

:16:29. > :16:37.centres will also be key figures. Glasgow already in their positions

:16:38. > :16:46.in the dark strips. Connacht and the famous green jerseys. And it is all

:16:47. > :16:50.very easy to say that the decision has been taken that they are in the

:16:51. > :16:57.semifinals, but it is the home tie that is key now. There are the

:16:58. > :17:01.replacement benches. Glasgow, if anything, stronger, showing the

:17:02. > :17:05.depth in the squad. So many players there who could justifiably command

:17:06. > :17:09.a starting line-up place, and even players who are not there, like

:17:10. > :17:15.Duncan Weir, who has scored ten kicks. How many times, John Beattie,

:17:16. > :17:19.has a player scored ten kicks and then not featured in the next game?

:17:20. > :17:25.The dream is that everybody wants a home semifinal in a couple of weeks.

:17:26. > :17:30.It is about conditioning, team plan, the weather and it is fundamentally

:17:31. > :17:36.about set piece and half-backs on a day like today. It has been wet but

:17:37. > :17:42.this is really exciting stuff, this is what you dream of watching and

:17:43. > :17:47.playing in. It is virtually a cup final. Glasgow are playing from

:17:48. > :17:53.right to left. The home team has the ball for the kick-off. Stand-by,

:17:54. > :17:59.because anything could happen in the next 80 minutes. And there will be

:18:00. > :18:02.one very big decision at the end of it all. The early exchanges as ever,

:18:03. > :18:17.the players adapt to the conditions. And guess who? It is Nakarawa with

:18:18. > :18:24.the first break. Glasgow moving it quickly. Russell with the little

:18:25. > :18:31.chip over the back. Taken by Tiernan O'Halloran. Swamped immediately.

:18:32. > :18:35.Clear intent here from Glasgow and the first penalty, they couldn't

:18:36. > :18:40.have asked for a better start. That is fantastic because that looked

:18:41. > :18:45.like some standard exit strategy, starting the Rock in your own 22 and

:18:46. > :18:50.then the sneaky peek and go. Nakarawa is in the middle of a ruck,

:18:51. > :18:55.nobody behind it, he picks and goes. Good support and Finn Russell has

:18:56. > :18:59.his brain in gear, looks up once the ball comes back and eventually they

:19:00. > :19:05.grab a player and a penalty. So in the blink of an eye, from your own

:19:06. > :19:12.22, sneaky peak and go, other end of the pitch and going for points. The

:19:13. > :19:14.issue will be to go for points because every single point getting

:19:15. > :19:20.ahead and keeping the scoreboard ticking over is going to be key in a

:19:21. > :19:35.match like this. The first chance like this for Finn Russell.

:19:36. > :19:46.Less than two minutes in. He has drifted that one wide. Well but has

:19:47. > :19:51.to go down as a chance missed. Yes, he was kicking into the wind, he

:19:52. > :19:55.chucked the grass up and the win came back at him. Not much

:19:56. > :20:02.territorial to be made by kicking for territory in this first half and

:20:03. > :20:07.he was looking to bend that right-to-left. Straight from the

:20:08. > :20:11.training field, someone spotted that Connacht defend wide from some

:20:12. > :20:16.rocks. They will therefore tighten their defence. And already an

:20:17. > :20:21.injury. Finlay Bealham, who has played all 20 matches for Connacht

:20:22. > :20:26.this season, he has lasted less than three minutes. So that is a key

:20:27. > :20:36.interruption to the Connacht game plan. I suspect Rodney Ah You will

:20:37. > :20:50.come on. Glasgow again sharp at the breakdown.

:20:51. > :21:02.Again, Glasgow, plenty of adventure. Patients. Very quick blitz defence

:21:03. > :21:05.from Connacht, they will note that. Ali Price has seen the gap they left

:21:06. > :21:12.behind them and they have to go back. Quickly turning the mandate

:21:13. > :21:21.has not found touch via long way. An awkward bounce. Difficult ball. Goes

:21:22. > :21:26.down has to get up quickly. The Connacht crowd as ever piling. That

:21:27. > :21:31.is a great defensive role, players getting back to support their

:21:32. > :21:41.player. Hugely awkward bounce of the ball to get ten or 20 metres back in

:21:42. > :21:44.the opposite direction. Again, the Glasgow defensive line-up working

:21:45. > :21:55.well. Nakarawa directing the traffic. Ali Price digs. This time

:21:56. > :22:00.they have been robbed. Bundee Aki and furious with himself, who saw

:22:01. > :22:03.the chance. This is a key figure for the Connacht side, they are

:22:04. > :22:07.delighted to get him back because they know they need him. Yes, he is

:22:08. > :22:14.a big strong centre. They have still to keep the ball, Connacht. To be

:22:15. > :22:18.fair, he was tackler. Let's be neutral, the tackler gets first

:22:19. > :22:23.dibs, but maybe the ruck had been created beyond him. A lot of stuff

:22:24. > :22:32.you are watching is straight off the Gregor Townsend playlist. One thing

:22:33. > :22:37.we are looking for is conditioning. If that is another prop gone from

:22:38. > :22:42.Connacht, the scrums, they were destroyed last time out, Glasgow, if

:22:43. > :22:53.they can get parity in the scrums and use the wind in the second half.

:22:54. > :22:57.MacArthur is the only one on the starting roster for Connacht this

:22:58. > :23:02.time from the previous meeting. Glasgow will have formed the team

:23:03. > :23:07.plan around that, no doubt. Gregor Townsend regards this as one of his

:23:08. > :23:11.most difficult team decisions of the year. But anyone looking at this

:23:12. > :23:17.team will see this is a top, top Glasgow line-up. And they are very

:23:18. > :23:21.patient with this. They have been told by Ian Davies that this is

:23:22. > :23:27.their last movement. Connacht doing their best to disrupt it. Glasgow

:23:28. > :23:31.have a penalty coming. They are piling in. Connacht don't like that

:23:32. > :23:36.but again, good discipline. They don't like it but they have got to

:23:37. > :23:41.lump it. The Warriors will be cute, away from home, into the wind up

:23:42. > :23:47.against a team that is really desperate to win it. Maul, maul. The

:23:48. > :23:56.only reason that ball stopped was a Connacht player coming in offside.

:23:57. > :24:01.Ryan Wilson, the scrum-half. And the cake has failed to find touch by

:24:02. > :24:09.Finn Russell. We will have another look at it. And again, the wind

:24:10. > :24:14.playing havoc. He misjudged it, he has put it beyond the goal line. He

:24:15. > :24:21.wrote be happy with that but it is always difficult playing conditions,

:24:22. > :24:26.it seems. What they like doing, they try to play into the wind, just

:24:27. > :24:31.where the camera angle is, they play right to left and second car, you

:24:32. > :24:39.play with the wind. So second half, if they can hang on, use it. That is

:24:40. > :24:45.what they are playing for. The crowd know that is what Connacht did when

:24:46. > :24:51.they famously defended 7-0 against Leinster and 17-6 in a quite

:24:52. > :24:59.phenomenal defensive performance. -- won 7-6. Looking solid, a second

:25:00. > :25:06.shot on. Connacht have it. Plenty of adventure but a slack pass at the

:25:07. > :25:12.end. Here is the key danger man, Adeolokun. Well wrapped up this

:25:13. > :25:20.time, though. They take the aerial route. Difficult ball for Stuart

:25:21. > :25:34.Hogg, juggled it a bit but again, the dancing shoes are wrong.

:25:35. > :25:46.Ali Price just about. Russell floats it to hardly unknown to Peter Horne.

:25:47. > :26:02.Glasgow moving the ball. And again, Nakarawa.

:26:03. > :26:09.Too quick for Strauss, even. They have done that twice, they have got

:26:10. > :26:15.into wide positions with the poor backpass as the last option but this

:26:16. > :26:17.last one ends up, Stuart Hogg has pulled in behind Strauss and his

:26:18. > :26:24.straightens up and runs into Strauss. Strauss is being half held

:26:25. > :26:30.but it is accidental offside. Strauss could have cut back in and

:26:31. > :26:40.let Hogg go wide. But it is all Warriors, isn't it? It is all their

:26:41. > :26:44.possession. Stuart Hogg, possibly the most potent of Glasgow's

:26:45. > :26:51.weapons, if we keep Nakarawa out of the equation for the moment.

:26:52. > :27:00.The service isn't that bad. It is greasy on top. -- surface. If you

:27:01. > :27:17.were Gordon Reid, you would be making sure that in the last scrum,

:27:18. > :27:22.Rodney Ah You's knee was down. Ten minutes almost on the clock, no

:27:23. > :27:31.score. Connacht in the green from left to right. Glasgow with most of

:27:32. > :27:36.the ball for the ten minutes. Good possession. Good territory. One

:27:37. > :27:43.missed kick from Finn Russell, just two minutes into the game. If

:27:44. > :27:48.nothing else, it has given him an indication of where the difficulty

:27:49. > :27:52.is with the kicking. This time, Glasgow have them on the back foot

:27:53. > :28:00.but Connacht get it away. Switching it back inside. They are a bit thin

:28:01. > :28:05.in the middle, Connacht. Glasgow piling in but piling in when they

:28:06. > :28:09.choose to pile it in. You can see the work that has been done on the

:28:10. > :28:14.training field, Ali Price, scrum-half, chasing across to

:28:15. > :28:22.prevent the little clip at the back. Again, the aerial route. A well worn

:28:23. > :28:26.tactic at the Sports Ground. Almost runs into Nakarawa, it is not easy

:28:27. > :28:31.to run around him. Bounces off a tackle or two. Glasgow again, a

:28:32. > :28:35.whole raft of men on the left-hand side.

:28:36. > :28:49.Ali Price... Bleeding-heart. Again, they try this left-hand side. Peter

:28:50. > :28:54.Horne. Seems to be one of Gregor Townsend's go to mend when the big

:28:55. > :28:57.games are on. He has the guile to unlock the tight defences. Russell

:28:58. > :29:12.gets away. This time, they have it.

:29:13. > :29:16.Interception, Tommy Seymour. So mistakes being made. To be fair, it

:29:17. > :29:24.is not exactly mistakes. This time it is Nakarawa on the charge.

:29:25. > :29:31.Nakarawa, turns inside past Henshaw. This time Glasgow have meant to the

:29:32. > :29:37.left. And this time it is a mistake. Gordon Reid just fractionally

:29:38. > :29:39.misread the pass, behind him. That was an opportunity, John, fantastic

:29:40. > :29:46.opportunity the Glasgow. What a brilliant game. The impressive bit

:29:47. > :29:48.to me about the Warriors always is that when their pattern breaks down,

:29:49. > :29:56.their players just come good, because I think Ali Price rescued

:29:57. > :30:00.this again, there had been a turnover, Seymour got the ball when

:30:01. > :30:05.he read a Connacht pass and the Warriors went on to the attack and

:30:06. > :30:09.Nakarawa, he is off. He is going to be a big loss, he has been

:30:10. > :30:11.fantastic, but this ability to turn them over and come back at a patent

:30:12. > :30:19.is good stuff. Glasgow haven't got any points on

:30:20. > :30:23.the board, you can see the confidence in thing, you can tell

:30:24. > :30:28.the weather has had an effect, they are getting the ball out wide. If

:30:29. > :30:32.they had been a Tommy Seymour or Lee Jones it would have been a try, not

:30:33. > :30:37.with Gordon Reid there. There is an intensity. It has a feel about how

:30:38. > :30:40.important the game is. It is like a semifinal already, and you can see

:30:41. > :30:44.there is a good intensity about it but Glasgow are in control, they

:30:45. > :30:49.need to get that control converted into points now.

:30:50. > :30:57.Well, there is, that is bad news for Glasgow. Because that is Dunbar who

:30:58. > :31:01.is a key figure, he has a heavily strapped left knee, there could be

:31:02. > :31:06.the problem. Yes, the good thing is Mark Ben gets another chance.

:31:07. > :31:10.Bennett lost his place, you know I think he can be brilliant,

:31:11. > :31:17.occasionally, occasionally doesn't play to the expectation, but that is

:31:18. > :31:24.quality playering on, the beauty is you know you have been dropped, I

:31:25. > :31:29.will show you. Too small players. Bennett is the kind of slightly more

:31:30. > :31:34.classy one. He would like that. This is how it broke down. This, there is

:31:35. > :31:37.Dunbar going down, there, that is where the injury took place. Just in

:31:38. > :31:45.that tackle. You can see immediately he was in trouble.

:31:46. > :31:54.So, Dunbar has gone, unfortunately his day is done.

:31:55. > :31:59.Marmion. Feeds, Glasgow again getting the

:32:00. > :32:03.shove. I would say they have the up irhand without undually exerting

:32:04. > :32:10.themselves. Testing the Connacht pack. This time they have to take

:32:11. > :32:12.the get out option. There is an indication that Glasgow, if they

:32:13. > :32:18.don't have the upper hand they are not under any great pressure in the

:32:19. > :32:23.pack. You can do a degree course and Pat Lam is a good coach. The way you

:32:24. > :32:29.really annoy a team away from home is take them on at bits they think

:32:30. > :32:34.they are good at like scrummaging, if the wariers can get Connacht

:32:35. > :32:38.creep back a couple of inches, that is good. You start making them

:32:39. > :32:42.doubt, as you said before, they lost three of the last four games, the

:32:43. > :32:48.Warriors have won nine on the trot. They have to be confident. Just a

:32:49. > :32:54.bit of a wobble for Connacht they wouldn't have liked, coming into

:32:55. > :32:59.this stage of the game. These matches now are... A fold round.

:33:00. > :33:04.That blitz defence again, and Glasgow will have worked that out,

:33:05. > :33:08.because we know they do a lot of video analysis. Same pattern, they

:33:09. > :33:13.have tried that three times now, they get to the wide area, that pull

:33:14. > :33:19.behind there is the dummy run, Finn Russell was read. The fly up

:33:20. > :33:24.defender read rustle and it will be Connacht ball. At some point. It

:33:25. > :33:31.might be Warriors's ball. Knock-on the tackle. They will look for an

:33:32. > :33:37.interception or... Quick thinking. Is what it is all about. The crowd

:33:38. > :33:43.for once beginning to sing. That is a dog track isn't it. The

:33:44. > :33:46.sand is a dog track and Phil texted me earlier on to say there is a dog

:33:47. > :33:51.race meet on tonight. After this game. Well, I think that is one of

:33:52. > :33:55.the implications for the semifinals, that if Connacht do get a home

:33:56. > :33:59.match, they would have to play, I think I am right on a Saturday

:34:00. > :34:07.because there is a dog race on the Friday night.

:34:08. > :34:11.Not exactly a problem that Scotstoun has very often.

:34:12. > :34:17.I would love to say that was a straight foot in by Ali Price. A

:34:18. > :34:23.good solid scrum. That is a good solid scrum. A chip by Russell. That

:34:24. > :34:29.has fallen nicely for Glasgow again, as they cut inside. Keep the ball

:34:30. > :34:35.moving. It is that man Peter Horne looking for, leans into this space

:34:36. > :34:40.and this time Lee Jones. Up ended Ali Price again, and Glasgow,

:34:41. > :34:43.looking for the breakthrough. It is that pattern, the pattern, the long

:34:44. > :34:50.pass picks out the middle man of three. Price. Again they go. Welcome

:34:51. > :34:54.to Galway. Price goes left, right, he is

:34:55. > :35:00.looking for just, thought he might have been looking for a drop goal,

:35:01. > :35:05.but into the wind it wouldn't be a good option. Again Connacht have

:35:06. > :35:12.robbed them. Ian Davies has given them the advantage and called it.

:35:13. > :35:18.Again, this bounce, this time it falls nicely for Hogg. Russell takes

:35:19. > :35:21.a look. They all come up. This bounce, look at the bounce. Just

:35:22. > :35:26.putting Connacht on the back foot. That was a good option, this could

:35:27. > :35:30.be trouble trouble for Connacht. O'Halloran may not have taken the

:35:31. > :35:34.best decision there but they have got away with it. Again, another

:35:35. > :35:38.kind bounce for Stuart Hogg. He takes it on himself with the dancing

:35:39. > :35:42.feet. He is caught, he has to be careful he doesn't hang on to it.

:35:43. > :35:46.The Connacht crowd were screaming for that. That was always a danger,

:35:47. > :35:51.when he went to ground isolated there. I thought the original danger

:35:52. > :35:55.was Finn Russell kicking the ball away, that set up this little

:35:56. > :36:01.counter attack, our Irish friends are playing that rerun, hoping it

:36:02. > :36:05.shows a penalty. It doesn't. I thought Russell kicked the ball away

:36:06. > :36:08.hen Connacht attacks then Hogg counter attacked but you are counter

:36:09. > :36:13.attacking into the wind and he couldn't get enough territory. You

:36:14. > :36:20.know, games are all about flow, and momentum, and Connacht getting into

:36:21. > :36:27.the game now. And this is the first Sally into the 22 metres, Ian Davies

:36:28. > :36:31.has called time out. That is because of the injury, rather than anything

:36:32. > :36:34.else. So this is the first time Connacht have a chance. Jonny Gray

:36:35. > :36:38.has taken one for the team. This is the first time they have threatened

:36:39. > :36:42.Glasgow or been in a fogs threaten Glasgow. It is only blood he

:36:43. > :36:47.sayings, I will play on. They have the line-out. When you come to these

:36:48. > :36:51.situations you think there is lots we can do, we can fake catch and

:36:52. > :36:55.drive, drive for a bit, sneak off the back or we can hit midfield.

:36:56. > :37:00.Lots of options, as defenders you think what are they going to do?

:37:01. > :37:08.Well, this is what they are going to do. Catch and drive. The puzzle is

:37:09. > :37:14.what to do, because Connacht have it.

:37:15. > :37:18.Marmion, just teasing the gap, that looked a bit... He tries to get the

:37:19. > :37:21.ball on the post, he has done that, he has breached the line, it is the

:37:22. > :37:27.first score to Connacht and it looks to me as if Bundee Aki has done the

:37:28. > :37:29.business. He deserved that. This is a maul, I thought again, we have to

:37:30. > :37:34.be neutral. I thought Nakarawa a maul, I thought again, we have to

:37:35. > :37:38.have been penalised. It looked as though Warriors collapsed and

:37:39. > :37:42.Nakarawa's body is on the ground, coming up now. There, they cleverly

:37:43. > :37:46.move it open. It is that short pass and another offload and Bundee Aki

:37:47. > :37:50.takes two or three people, that is great. That is a great score. Be

:37:51. > :37:57.fair to them, that is a very well crafted score. It all went wrong,

:37:58. > :38:01.the maul came down, he kept it going, picked a huge Tongan midfield

:38:02. > :38:05.and he blasted it in. It is that key area of the field, when a team has

:38:06. > :38:10.the ball like that it is virtually impossible to stop. A team of the

:38:11. > :38:18.technique and Connacht of front it is one of the key playing option,

:38:19. > :38:23.and the other one of course, is they have some good kickers, their best

:38:24. > :38:27.isn't there today but AJ MacGinty, he has completed the move. It was

:38:28. > :38:33.well within his range but Glasgow still had too men round -- two men

:38:34. > :38:41.round him. It was the two short pass, Marmion with the short pass,

:38:42. > :38:44.he is a heck of a build for a centre. You wouldn't him eating your

:38:45. > :38:59.lunch He is only 15 stone 10. centre. You wouldn't him eating your

:39:00. > :39:03.Six feet. 15 stone 10 on the hoof. They were desperate to have him fit

:39:04. > :39:08.Thor today's game. This is going Glasgow's way, that was a mistake.

:39:09. > :39:12.Ian Davies giving Glasgow the advantage.

:39:13. > :39:18.You watch a lot of these and there is a flat option and a deep option,

:39:19. > :39:22.and Marmion came off and he tried to get the flat option, wariers are

:39:23. > :39:27.blitzing town deep player, they marked the flat player and it didn't

:39:28. > :39:30.work for then. If you in the Warriors you think we have been

:39:31. > :39:32.attacks 15 minute, and then they have scored. We have to get bang

:39:33. > :39:35.attacks 15 minute, and then they into it. As a coach, Pat Lam will be

:39:36. > :39:41.delighted with one attack and one into it. As a coach, Pat Lam will be

:39:42. > :39:46.score. Yes, but, if the wind stays the way it is and it is horsing in

:39:47. > :40:00.from the left. You would want two o or three. If down your round that

:40:01. > :40:04.wind... Think you are right. It looks as though he is on the

:40:05. > :40:09.right-wing. That score, we will keep an eye on the other game, Edinburgh

:40:10. > :40:15.are leading Cardiff by 12-0. 12 points to the good Edinburgh, after

:40:16. > :40:19.20 minute, all the matches starting today at the same time, so we are

:40:20. > :40:24.exactly give or take a second or two perhaps, we are in the same thing

:40:25. > :40:31.and Favaro has come on there, for Glasgow also. So changes all round.

:40:32. > :40:36.That must mean Ryan Wilson is the casualty.

:40:37. > :40:41.Harley is still there. The other headband is Jonny Gray. The Warriors

:40:42. > :40:49.back division becomes a slightly smaller back division you have got

:40:50. > :40:53.rid of your big man, you have three light midfielders, two Lightwingers

:40:54. > :40:59.as well. This is Warriors trying to get a penalty if they can, but under

:41:00. > :41:02.pressure. And they have it. Well, it was a quick nudge there, Josh

:41:03. > :41:11.Strauss had a quick look, that has gone against Ronan Loughney.

:41:12. > :41:15.He has been penalised there. Dennis Buckley, the key probably key figure

:41:16. > :41:20.in the Connacht scrum is not available to them today, his role

:41:21. > :41:26.across the whole area of the playing area of the field is vital.

:41:27. > :41:35.Particularly at break down. There is one of the key figures in the front

:41:36. > :41:38.row for Glasgow, Puafisi. One off, almost winner takes all or gets the

:41:39. > :41:41.row for Glasgow, Puafisi. One off, home venue, you sense in the players

:41:42. > :42:02.this is a key match. Finn Russell's second attempt. He

:42:03. > :42:07.has driven it wide. You can tell from the reaction of the crowd, zero

:42:08. > :42:12.from two for Finn Russell. Kicking conditions are not good, and really,

:42:13. > :42:16.from that side, you would have thought he did read it, but he

:42:17. > :42:24.didn't bring it round far enough. You can see the disappointment, the

:42:25. > :42:30.frustration as he picked up the tee. However it is done and dusted.

:42:31. > :42:38.They still from the the seven point deficit. 22-and-a-half minutes gone,

:42:39. > :42:44.Munster 7 Scarlets 8, all of these matches in a blanket finish in the

:42:45. > :42:49.Pro12, on the last day, every single game is critical and that is well

:42:50. > :42:51.taken by Connacht. Let us see how the game is unfoaling with Andy. It

:42:52. > :42:56.taken by Connacht. Let us see how has been wake up call for Glasgow,

:42:57. > :43:00.because they have conceded ta try, they have missed penalty, the first

:43:01. > :43:04.ten minutes was almost too easy that, I got into scoring position,

:43:05. > :43:09.they didn't take them. Now they in a real game at 7-0 down. That might

:43:10. > :43:14.have been a good thing. It might have focussed the minds, this is a

:43:15. > :43:23.tough game. All Glasgow need to do is win it or draw. A lot of rugby to

:43:24. > :43:30.come. Russell. Loaded with trouble. That is a great kick. That is a

:43:31. > :43:34.nightmare. A nightmare for him to have the deal with a kick like that.

:43:35. > :43:39.Do you go near it, do you leave it, does it hit you and go out? At the

:43:40. > :43:45.end of the day he decided he would just leave it, I think. A word about

:43:46. > :43:49.Nakarawa, who is number four, he has been fantastic for Warriors and he

:43:50. > :43:55.is off, I think, everyone is saying she away to France, and -- he is

:43:56. > :43:56.away to France. Of all the players the Warriors have signed, I think

:43:57. > :44:00.Nakarawa is the one who has been the Warriors have signed, I think

:44:01. > :44:05.best value. Going for big bucks to France, but of all the players we

:44:06. > :44:11.watched, even today he has been brilliant for the Warriors. I think

:44:12. > :44:18.I would put it he is going to be the biggest loss I have seen for Scots

:44:19. > :44:23.stoun for sure. Leinster are good against Treviranus sow. If that

:44:24. > :44:27.carries on which I presume would be the case would give... That is a

:44:28. > :44:32.mistake, that is a mistake because it has fallen to Puafisi who gets it

:44:33. > :44:37.back to Price. Nakarawa. Glasgow in the right area. Playing against the

:44:38. > :44:46.condition, Puafisi again. Drops it short this time and look that the.

:44:47. > :44:53.Piling in from the Connacht defence. Ali Price goes right. And again

:44:54. > :45:00.Bundee Aki. Over ten, is a metres he is like, I don't know, he is like a

:45:01. > :45:05.sprinter. Be honest we have not seen many teams that get the wariers

:45:06. > :45:10.behind gain line, this defence is flying up, they have smashing into

:45:11. > :45:14.bodies, it is the best defence the Warriors have come across. Good

:45:15. > :45:19.break. That is why Peter Horne is there. He gets it up to Russell, a

:45:20. > :45:23.big decision is when to relies and when not. Took the right decision

:45:24. > :45:29.there. To Glasgow again in the right area.

:45:30. > :45:45.A game, Peter Horne at scrum-half. Nakarawa unceremoniously dumped. The

:45:46. > :45:50.Connacht crowd rousing their team. All Dillon comes in and Glasgow will

:45:51. > :45:56.certainly not have faced this kind of defence all year. That is great

:45:57. > :46:01.defence again, let's call it as we see it. What strikes me is it is

:46:02. > :46:06.very similar to Matt Taylor's Warriors defence, the first man

:46:07. > :46:11.flies in really hard, low. They don't go- the ball, they hurt you

:46:12. > :46:17.love. First man alone, he has got to go to deck. Number seven thinking, I

:46:18. > :46:21.will get on the ball. Two similar defences and I don't think many

:46:22. > :46:25.teams have come up with this kind of defence against the Warriors. I have

:46:26. > :46:32.never seen anything like it the they they defended 7-0 against Leinster

:46:33. > :46:36.against the win. Leinster got over the line three times and they held

:46:37. > :46:47.them up three times. It was last man standing start. Jonny Gray is having

:46:48. > :46:58.stitch. So it looks like Val probe. stitch. So it looks like Val probe.

:46:59. > :47:04.-- ballot Simeon it tomorrow. What Connacht have been able to do in the

:47:05. > :47:08.areas of the pitch, they are up quick, they fill up the first five

:47:09. > :47:13.metres and Warriors cannot bludgeon over the gain line. We know in the

:47:14. > :47:18.opposition 22, Warriors will play one pass game and get momentum,

:47:19. > :47:24.momentum. This lot are not letting them do that. It is a case of a good

:47:25. > :47:32.maul for Connacht at one end and bravery in defence. Tim Swinson is

:47:33. > :47:36.the temporarily, we would imagine, replacement for Jonny Gray, who is

:47:37. > :47:40.away for some stitching. Even that is a presumption we are making

:47:41. > :47:46.because he certainly had a cut to deal with. Whether he has to have a

:47:47. > :47:51.head injury assessment, we will see. Again, the difficulty. Lee Jones

:47:52. > :47:56.this time. Taking one look at that as a coach or a player, the next

:47:57. > :48:01.time you get the ball, you will do the same thing again, because it is

:48:02. > :48:05.the percentage game. Lee Jones is a great player, sevens player, should

:48:06. > :48:10.be comfortable under the high ball. My instinct at the time was was he

:48:11. > :48:15.facing straight are not rather than slightly sideways and he was looking

:48:16. > :48:19.up at the winger coming at him. Even a professional can be away from

:48:20. > :48:23.home, looking up and looking at the player coming at him rather than

:48:24. > :48:31.getting the ball into the basket first and then playing. You would

:48:32. > :48:44.have to say, never mind the position, if you were offered

:48:45. > :48:50.playing 7-0 in the conditions, you might wonders. The second half might

:48:51. > :48:55.be slightly advantageous to Glasgow. Both teams winning line-outs, a

:48:56. > :49:00.couple of mess ups, the won to but not dominating scrums like they

:49:01. > :49:06.were, Connacht. This is where Bundee Aki is dangerous, thundering through

:49:07. > :49:12.as the rain comes down. If anything, it is getting heavier. Bundee Aki

:49:13. > :49:19.again the main man and this time Glasgow have a break. Loose ball

:49:20. > :49:24.hacked on. Ian Davies has pulled them back for a knock-on in that

:49:25. > :49:30.movement. Danger the Glasgow because Connacht have the scrum. Big man

:49:31. > :49:35.coming on the short ball. The closer you are to a ruck when you make your

:49:36. > :49:41.punch, the less distance the defence can of moved up and Bundee Aki, the

:49:42. > :49:45.first break he made in the whole sequence was a ball into hands,

:49:46. > :49:50.going through the gap and looking to off-load and that could have been

:49:51. > :49:54.much more dangerous. As Andy said, the momentum has changed a little

:49:55. > :49:59.bit. The Warriors had it pretty easy and no Connacht are right in the

:50:00. > :50:06.group. They have clawed themselves back into it. They wouldn't be where

:50:07. > :50:08.they are in the league, league tables do not live over a long

:50:09. > :50:15.they are in the league, league period of time. They have won 14 of

:50:16. > :50:20.their matches, lost seven, 13 bonus points, perfectly entitled to be

:50:21. > :50:23.looking for a home semifinal. Not quite the Leicester City of the

:50:24. > :50:32.Rugby world but it is not far off it. This time it is AJ MacGinty.

:50:33. > :50:41.Look how he tried to slide Bundee Aki over the line but he has knocked

:50:42. > :50:47.on. Here we go. Well, some discussions about the weather,

:50:48. > :50:59.perhaps. Wilson back there in the thick of things. Gordon Reid, sorry.

:51:00. > :51:05.This was clever, this was just straight to AJ MacGinty. Look at

:51:06. > :51:12.Bundee Aki is trying to slide him over the line. Yes, and then the

:51:13. > :51:16.pick and go is a mess up. They are playing simple rugby, Connacht. The

:51:17. > :51:25.Warriors are getting the ball wide and then a little Paul in behind. He

:51:26. > :51:36.is checking for foul play. It is anybody's guess what he might have

:51:37. > :51:42.seen. He says it is against Muldoon. He says against Green eight. Cut

:51:43. > :51:50.back inside, ball in one hand. That is it. Would that have been it? It

:51:51. > :51:55.is hard to see there. If it was in play, it was hard to see. I think he

:51:56. > :51:58.has been alerted from the side. There is something happening late,

:51:59. > :52:11.Muldoon is not happy with something late. The angle is blocked by both

:52:12. > :52:14.my position and six black. We can't see Tim Swinson in amongst that but

:52:15. > :52:23.he is the one that has been fingered for what happen. The referee can't

:52:24. > :52:29.see it,... Strauss took somebody off the ball. There is Swinson. That is

:52:30. > :52:36.the allegation, Swinson comes in, he is offside but there is no foul

:52:37. > :52:39.play, is there? I think the referee is saying he couldn't see what

:52:40. > :52:45.happened because of Rob Harley. Anyway, that has all gone. Again,

:52:46. > :52:49.let's be neutral, if Muldoon is claiming foul play looking for a

:52:50. > :52:53.penalty, he is chancing his arm because there is no foul play.

:52:54. > :52:57.Swinson came into the ruck and he was offside but it is going to be a

:52:58. > :53:02.dangerous situation anyway. The other way of looking at that is it

:53:03. > :53:08.is good captaincy by Muldoon, putting questions into the referee's

:53:09. > :53:17.mind. Vastly experienced, nobody, as I said, who has played more time.

:53:18. > :53:19.14,933 minutes at the start of today's game, to be precise. 211

:53:20. > :53:33.matches. That has broken down and Glasgow are

:53:34. > :53:35.in trouble. It has spilled out on the Glasgow side, the referee is

:53:36. > :53:42.in trouble. It has spilled out on involved, everybody is involved. So

:53:43. > :53:47.he is going back to where Glasgow had BP Portrait Awards the ball.

:53:48. > :53:51.Good defence. Warriors I think maybe thought they deserved a penalty.

:53:52. > :53:56.Strauss picks and goes and Bundee Aki comes in from the centre,

:53:57. > :54:02.smashes him. Then Muldoon gets to his feet and it is a loose ruck and

:54:03. > :54:05.the referee gets nobbled. There is a point for saying that should be

:54:06. > :54:11.Connacht ball because they won it on the turnover. The way to use Bundee

:54:12. > :54:16.Aki, as well as his sheer strength and running force, he is virtually

:54:17. > :54:20.used as a wing forward. Yes, he has that power and they know the

:54:21. > :54:26.Warriors can't really run that length of the page so hit them with

:54:27. > :54:32.a couple of passes wide. I am sure they could on a dry day. That is the

:54:33. > :54:36.position, the Connacht strike rate has been good in terms of attack and

:54:37. > :54:41.return. We are into the final ten minutes of the half in this crucial

:54:42. > :54:49.final day's play in the Guinness Pro12. And I suspect Glasgow would

:54:50. > :54:56.be content to see out the next eight minutes also without any further

:54:57. > :55:03.ado, because they would love to go in at 7-0 down in the circumstances,

:55:04. > :55:08.because they would see that as a mountain they could certainly climb.

:55:09. > :55:13.Cardiff have hit back at Murrayfield. They have a try.

:55:14. > :55:26.Edinburgh are still leading by 12-7. We will keep you updated on all of

:55:27. > :55:30.these matches. 14-9 to Munster. That could very well go either way, but

:55:31. > :55:41.that is the game Edinburgh will have half an eye on. The scrum just a bit

:55:42. > :55:46.untidy. The key little moment here because the Warriors have do survive

:55:47. > :55:53.this. Look at the rain, just coming slightly behind Connacht, just get

:55:54. > :56:00.out of this bit of the pitch. Leinster 17-3, no surprise there,

:56:01. > :56:05.that is the latest score also. All the matches kicking off at three

:56:06. > :56:12.o'clock. And this is a critical scrum. Strauss tidies. Look at how

:56:13. > :56:18.quickly he is hammered back. Even Bundee Aki is in there preventing a

:56:19. > :56:23.break. Nakarawa sees a chance and Glasgow have sneaked it. Now that,

:56:24. > :56:28.psychologically, is a big boost and look who is in the middle of it all,

:56:29. > :56:35.Bundee Aki. Always in the thick of things. I would like to watch that

:56:36. > :56:39.again. They have committed a lot of players to the breakdown, including

:56:40. > :56:45.Batman, who has had a great game. You need a big number eight in

:56:46. > :56:49.modern rugby, a big 18, 19 stone player. Strauss picks the ball up,

:56:50. > :56:54.carries it up the pitch, being hit by players and it looked as though

:56:55. > :56:58.Connacht had done enough to get the ball but penalty Warriors and that

:56:59. > :57:03.man will be slightly worried at half-time that his team is not more

:57:04. > :57:10.points up. But two very good condition and teams. Take a longer

:57:11. > :57:16.view of this, Glasgow need a Strauss on for 80 minutes as Johnny Gray

:57:17. > :57:24.rejoins. -- Jonny Gray. There is nobody there who can replace him if

:57:25. > :57:31.he goes. You could stick Wilson in at eight, but you are losing another

:57:32. > :57:33.big fellow. Strauss is a big, big man. Plenty for Gregor Townsend

:57:34. > :57:41.big fellow. Strauss is a big, big think about. Nakarawa takes. Not

:57:42. > :57:45.clean ball though. Because Aly Muldowney, who will know a thing or

:57:46. > :57:50.two about the Glasgow attack... There they are, turned over again.

:57:51. > :57:55.Clever defence. They just annoyed Nakarawa enough that it became loose

:57:56. > :57:59.ball at the back and hide. Wilson couldn't come in to take it and

:58:00. > :58:05.Muldowney got hands-on ball. As soon as he got the call "??maul he would

:58:06. > :58:14.keep the ball off the ground and we will get the scrum. You can see Pat

:58:15. > :58:19.Lam's fingerprints over everything. I read an interview and the

:58:20. > :58:23.philosophy he believes in, he believes in flowing rugby, players

:58:24. > :58:30.making decisions within a framework and all of these players now are

:58:31. > :58:33.incredibly skilled. An indication of the importance of today's game. The

:58:34. > :58:46.great and the good of Ireland are Six minutes left of the first half.

:58:47. > :58:52.The scrum-half is at number eight. Well, that is a novelty and that is

:58:53. > :58:58.why they wanted that delivered quickly. I think it was Muldoon who

:58:59. > :59:03.put it in. Here they go, they have broken up the middle. Marmion turns

:59:04. > :59:08.the other way, maybe took the wrong decision. Marmion again all of a

:59:09. > :59:14.sudden, Connacht on the move. Bundee Aki doesn't get it away. Spills it,

:59:15. > :59:18.Glasgow need the ball. Glasgow have the ball. Now there is a chance for

:59:19. > :59:26.Glasgow. Mark Bennett takes it to ground. Adeolokun spilled the ball.

:59:27. > :59:30.This is where Glasgow are good. They take a chance with the kick but the

:59:31. > :59:42.bounce is not kind. It has fallen to Matt Healy. Big shout for a forward

:59:43. > :59:46.pass. Edinburgh, in passing, have another try. They have scored three

:59:47. > :59:51.of the four tries they need to do one part of the job, because the

:59:52. > :00:00.rest of it is defending and what happens elsewhere. 7-0 here at the

:00:01. > :00:06.Sports Ground in Galway. Bundee Aki, a bit of his kicking game. Kind of

:00:07. > :00:11.bounce for Glasgow. Finn Russell has ago.

:00:12. > :00:20.In the right area. Again they are so good in contact but here a penalty

:00:21. > :00:25.to Glasgow. O'Brien did well, he tackled Harley, haarly, you know you

:00:26. > :00:29.don't want to be tackling rob Harley. Bone smashing into you, big

:00:30. > :00:33.don't want to be tackling rob legs and O'Brien greedy. He tackled

:00:34. > :00:38.him once too often. Didn't move out of the way. It is one of these great

:00:39. > :00:43.games where you can tell the players, they are bursting their

:00:44. > :00:46.lung, everyone is playing on a knife-edge, everyone is giving

:00:47. > :00:51.everything they have got. Finn Russell, this man Hogg when he gets

:00:52. > :00:55.the ball you look at the conditions and the way they spray the ball

:00:56. > :00:59.round it has been great. He had to welly that to get it that distance.

:01:00. > :01:14.It is interesting he is the man they go to for the longer kicks. It is

:01:15. > :01:17.out of range. I tell you what the Warriors will be happy they

:01:18. > :01:31.weathered that. That could have been another try. These are xheemts. --

:01:32. > :01:37.real moments. As As the clock ticks on. Harley,

:01:38. > :01:41.and he is taken out. Any way, game on, midfield. Glasgow have it, but

:01:42. > :01:46.again, this contest on ground is ferocious. I don't think Glasgow

:01:47. > :01:56.will have met anything like this this season, so far. Just a fraction

:01:57. > :02:01.late with that pass. Ball is loose. Comes out on the Glasgow side.

:02:02. > :02:07.Ospreys 14-14 against Ulster, another critical game in the whole

:02:08. > :02:15.scenario. 14-19 I hear now, instantly changing, all these games.

:02:16. > :02:19.Nakarawa flings it out Russell is... Look at the way, the defence. This

:02:20. > :02:24.is Glasgow possession that has gone back 15 metre, that is good defence.

:02:25. > :02:32.This time, they try, they just can't break the line. Look at how tight

:02:33. > :02:39.Connacht are. This time they go. Price. Moving it quickly. Trying to

:02:40. > :02:44.force a gap. There is no way through. You get through the

:02:45. > :02:50.defensive line and you have got five or six thousand Connacht voices

:02:51. > :02:55.balling at you. -- Balling at you, psychologically important. The best

:02:56. > :02:59.that can be said of that, is they retained possession. The conditions

:03:00. > :03:04.aren't helping the way Glasgow play. Glasgow like to play that little

:03:05. > :03:08.contact. Little bit wider. They like a long pass off. The nine will

:03:09. > :03:12.normally pick out the middle man of three for whards who are quite wide.

:03:13. > :03:16.Your get width and pace on the ball. Today, what they are doing is

:03:17. > :03:19.getting the ball and they are being smashed. Smashed behind gain line by

:03:20. > :03:23.a man coming down, below your knee, smashed. Smashed behind gain line by

:03:24. > :03:29.chop, down you go, you have to get two bodies into rescue it, they get

:03:30. > :03:31.on the ball as well and you can see there, there are Warriors

:03:32. > :03:33.casualties, I think they will get through but at the moment they are

:03:34. > :03:41.not getting through them. They are not getting through. One try tells a

:03:42. > :03:45.story. It is not a Warriors's try. It is one of these games you don't

:03:46. > :03:50.want to end. It is so much. There is a long way to go. We could very well

:03:51. > :04:00.be in the final minute, or I am not sure if this would be the final

:04:01. > :04:05.play. Because if so, I think Glasgow will be mightily relieved to go

:04:06. > :04:11.seven points down. They have had so much possession in the first 10, 15

:04:12. > :04:15.minutes against the wind, which was encouraging in itself, then Connacht

:04:16. > :04:21.hit back with that quick score, vital score in their first real

:04:22. > :04:24.attack. They have come close to breaching the line on a couple of

:04:25. > :04:29.occasion. But they will trust their running power in the last ten

:04:30. > :04:37.minute, they always wipe teams away, they can do it today.

:04:38. > :04:40.Ali Price, and again, just an indication that the Connacht

:04:41. > :04:44.pressure is beginning, look how quickly they came round on Ali

:04:45. > :04:48.Price, he did well, again he smashed but that is going forward.

:04:49. > :04:59.That is going forward and Peter Horne new that.

:05:00. > :05:03.The referee has called a quick squirery here, a quick squirery call

:05:04. > :05:08.which is not a good sign. One of the Connacht players taking a hit. Good

:05:09. > :05:13.footwork. He is out. Oh, he is out. He switched off there. Under the

:05:14. > :05:20.rules he has to go off. There is a bit, here he goes. That was Bundee

:05:21. > :05:26.Aki, it is the number four, it is Dillane. Dillane, you could see as

:05:27. > :05:32.he went down, he goes down like a pack of bricks. His chin, right on

:05:33. > :05:37.Price's back and he is out. If they spot that, the rules are he has to

:05:38. > :05:43.go off. Well, they see it on the screen, if nothing else. Well, that

:05:44. > :05:50.is a strange one. Because under the protocols, our understanding of it,

:05:51. > :06:00.he should have gone off. It was like switching a light off there.

:06:01. > :06:08.Ian Davies having a bit of craic. Coolest man on the park, I think.

:06:09. > :06:13.I don't think anyone else is in the mood for a joke, but... This,

:06:14. > :06:16.however, could be the last play, because the players will have looked

:06:17. > :06:21.at Marmion, looking at the clock there. Warriors need to find out a

:06:22. > :06:25.way of unlocking that defence second half. That is key. Use the weather,

:06:26. > :06:31.get territory down to the right-hand side and somehow unlock this really

:06:32. > :06:36.abusive defence. -- a Bray sieve defence. One way

:06:37. > :06:40.would be to put it by hind them. They have tried the aerial route but

:06:41. > :06:44.not distance Connacht got down there because they kicked and Hogg counter

:06:45. > :06:48.attacked or somebody counter attacked and they got the penalty.

:06:49. > :06:53.That use theed the wind, they scored the try. You have to use the wind to

:06:54. > :06:55.get where you want to start your attacking play from, if they can get

:06:56. > :06:58.get where you want to start your those turn over penalties kick for

:06:59. > :07:04.the corner, that is what happens Essex half.

:07:05. > :07:11.Pretty much sure this is the last play now.

:07:12. > :07:16.The ball is in there somewhere. Now it is not. Look how he knew where he

:07:17. > :07:20.was, Marmion, because he took the shortest line towards the goal line,

:07:21. > :07:26.to get rid of the ball. Because he knew where the clock was. He knew

:07:27. > :07:31.where the line was, and well, Connacht will be happy they are

:07:32. > :07:36.ahead, the question for them surely, and for Pat Lam is, is that enough,

:07:37. > :07:40.are they far enough ahead, because Glasgow have got seven points to

:07:41. > :07:43.find, if nothing else in the second half, and that is what is in front

:07:44. > :07:48.of them. It is interesting the way that game

:07:49. > :07:52.happened. The Warriors came to this part of the world and took them

:07:53. > :07:57.apart first ten minutes and these two short passes and Bunn's try.

:07:58. > :08:02.That was a big turning point. It was the first half of the first half all

:08:03. > :08:07.warrior, second half Connacht, their defence and the use of possession

:08:08. > :08:14.was much more intelligent. It is all still to play for, at half-time at

:08:15. > :08:22.The sports ground in Galway. Connacht seven, Glasgow 0.

:08:23. > :08:26.They are a tough old nut to crack, we know they are a good side, a

:08:27. > :08:29.physical side but they have shown that, certainly the second half of

:08:30. > :08:33.that first half Without a doubt. Maybe because Glasgow have won their

:08:34. > :08:37.games in the last few week, easily, maybe some people thought this was

:08:38. > :08:40.going to be another one of those and Glasgow keep their average of 34

:08:41. > :08:44.point, you can see the weather, it is a filthy day there, the

:08:45. > :08:49.opposition have come to the party, and Connacht have just, they, the

:08:50. > :08:52.survived that first 10, 15 minutes when the Warriors were dominant and

:08:53. > :08:56.maybe could have had a couple of tries but they came into the game

:08:57. > :09:01.and Glasgow have had to withhold themselves and get their line

:09:02. > :09:04.intact. It has not been the most exciting 40 minutes but it is

:09:05. > :09:08.intriguing, there is so much at stake, you can see it in the

:09:09. > :09:14.intensity. That intensity led to the only try of the fist half. Bundee

:09:15. > :09:18.Aki, who is a back who can play like a back row forward He has been off

:09:19. > :09:21.injured, maybe that coincided with him having a stumble. He is so

:09:22. > :09:26.important to what they do in attack and defence, we will show examples

:09:27. > :09:33.of that. This is an attack. Marmion runs with the ball. He does it very

:09:34. > :09:38.well. A great offload from MacGinty. Wilt son has a chance, but it is a

:09:39. > :09:44.well set up maul, Nakarawa comes in there, probably does try and take it

:09:45. > :09:50.down a bit, Wilson has to make this tackle there and stop it. He doesn't

:09:51. > :09:56.and the momentum Aki has got. Look how well he does, the referee is in

:09:57. > :10:00.a great spot. Wilson had to smash it to have a chance of stopping the

:10:01. > :10:04.game. He has been so influential Bundee Aki in attack and defence.

:10:05. > :10:07.When you have a guy like that against you and he can do

:10:08. > :10:11.everything, he was a good run we are the ball in hand, he is a great

:10:12. > :10:15.defender, how do you deal with a player like that? You either can

:10:16. > :10:20.play the ball away from him, or in defence you make sure that someone

:10:21. > :10:25.like Wilson makes that tackle. Great players are only great when you make

:10:26. > :10:28.the tackle. He was anonymous for the first 15 minutes gauze Glasgow are

:10:29. > :10:32.dominant. Then he got his impact coming into the game and you can see

:10:33. > :10:35.how good it was. Hugely influential. Certainly was, at the start of the

:10:36. > :10:39.match we thought a guy who is leaving Glasgow at the end of the

:10:40. > :10:42.season, Leone Nakarawa, was going to be hugely influential as well. Did

:10:43. > :10:46.impressive stuff This is what he does. This was the first minute of

:10:47. > :10:50.game. It is the awareness of what is round him when he is there the best

:10:51. > :10:54.of the scrum. Ali Price gets support here. Glasgow are in behind. When

:10:55. > :10:59.this went to Finn Russell, I thought put the ball through the hands, he

:11:00. > :11:02.kicks it. He folds it up well and the kick is only as good as the

:11:03. > :11:06.chase. They managed to turn it over. Fraser Brown and Stuart Hogg is in

:11:07. > :11:11.there Seymour is in. They missed it. This was another chance. He comes

:11:12. > :11:17.out. Finn Russell. He is an in and out game. Ali Price as well. He

:11:18. > :11:20.struggled at times. Watch the turn over ball there, this was

:11:21. > :11:24.symptomatic of it but they get the turn over and Tommy Seymour gets the

:11:25. > :11:29.ball, and the defence has been pretty good as well. They have only

:11:30. > :11:32.conceded one try, but you know Nakarawa always offers himself off

:11:33. > :11:38.Jonny Gray. You want somebody running off. Nobody is there off his

:11:39. > :11:41.left shoulder. He does well, but yet again, look at the angle. Gordon

:11:42. > :11:45.Reid picks it beautifully. You want that to be an outside back. He

:11:46. > :11:49.doesn't hold on to it. That was two examples when Glasgow had their

:11:50. > :11:52.play, they got in behind Connacht but weren't able to convert it into

:11:53. > :11:56.points. At that stage you thought this is going well for Glasgow. They

:11:57. > :12:01.are going to win this, but then suddenly Connacht came back in, got

:12:02. > :12:07.that Bundee Aki try and dominated the rest of the first half. So

:12:08. > :12:14.Glasgow will be happy sitting in that changing room seven -- 7-0 down

:12:15. > :12:17.because it could have been worse. A viewer has said if a New Zealand

:12:18. > :12:21.because it could have been worse. A player scored that try, he didn't

:12:22. > :12:25.expect the slight reverse pass. You have to, he read it and he did the

:12:26. > :12:29.hard thing in many ways, he didn't do the easy thing which was catch

:12:30. > :12:34.the ball. Would he have gone foefr a try? Probably not but they would

:12:35. > :12:38.have recycled it and maybe opened it up for someone else. The line speed

:12:39. > :12:42.and defence. Glasgow were getting knocked on their backside so often.

:12:43. > :12:47.So if you play against the best team in the league as Glasgow are, who

:12:48. > :12:50.are o scoring 34 tries, 34 points, your line speed has to be good. Look

:12:51. > :12:56.at Connacht here, every time they are set, and it is not just Aki or

:12:57. > :13:00.mown Downey or Muldoon. Everybody is coming off the line. They are get

:13:01. > :13:03.Tom Youngs front foot. Glasgow recycle it but look at the

:13:04. > :13:07.intensity. They the reason that white line, they are safe. Bang, off

:13:08. > :13:11.the line, that is really really good line speed. Was he offside? They are

:13:12. > :13:17.close, but you have to be close, keep the right side of it. Look at

:13:18. > :13:22.the flying up there, that was Muldowney has been in there, doing

:13:23. > :13:25.it. They are pushing them back here, Ali Price, gets Nakarawa into bad

:13:26. > :13:30.position, that happens so often, they are able to control it. Glasgow

:13:31. > :13:34.weren't controlling the phases, Connacht were with the defence. I

:13:35. > :13:39.was sco going to ask you, you are a scrum-half. A couple of the passes

:13:40. > :13:45.there were two Glasgow player who had to stand up, and immediately as

:13:46. > :13:48.a defender on top. Has he given the players as much of an opportunity as

:13:49. > :13:52.he could with his passes? You have to flip it quickly. Nip it away as

:13:53. > :13:55.quickly or possible or you entertain the first defence, if you do that

:13:56. > :13:58.and put it away, their line speed is coming up, you run down the

:13:59. > :14:02.opportunities for those players so it is finding that balance. I have

:14:03. > :14:06.been impressed with Ali Price all year, he is in a game of intensity,

:14:07. > :14:11.arguably not probably had anything like this, with what is at stake,

:14:12. > :14:15.and I just think he needs to get a bit more control. I think he is

:14:16. > :14:20.alloyed the Connacht defence to control what he has done. If you

:14:21. > :14:25.look at somebody like Mike Blair who has huge experience. Two players at

:14:26. > :14:30.two ends of the experience spectrum. He would probably control a bit more

:14:31. > :14:35.of thatle Ali Price has to do that in the second half or Grayson Hart

:14:36. > :14:38.will come off the bench quickly. We watched Glasgow dominating in the

:14:39. > :14:42.scrums and getting a couple of tries from that, a couple of occasions in

:14:43. > :14:48.the first half, where the forwards again got the nudge on and did good

:14:49. > :14:52.stuff. Glasgow had to dig deep. It is round Bundee Aki, takes the ball.

:14:53. > :15:00.Marmion is good. MacGinty, he attacks it. That goes into Muldoon.

:15:01. > :15:06.Look it a great tackle. If he holds on that ball. Connacht recycle, they

:15:07. > :15:09.are going for a try. So it was Glasgow scrambling's defence was

:15:10. > :15:13.good. It has to be, because this was 7-0 at the time. You don't want to

:15:14. > :15:18.go down to 14. Here is another one. Still 7-0. Look at how quick

:15:19. > :15:24.MacGinty attacks the line, he is putting the pressure on Price and

:15:25. > :15:28.Wilson, I just this there, if Muldoon, Muldowney has a bit of

:15:29. > :15:32.composure goes over the ball, if they recycle that it is a try. So

:15:33. > :15:34.this is where Glasgow had to dig really deep and they did. They got a

:15:35. > :15:38.bit of lung because of a poor really deep and they did. They got a

:15:39. > :15:42.decision but if they get a try, in light of what Glasgow could have

:15:43. > :15:45.done in the first ten minutes, they didn't score, Finn Russell missed a

:15:46. > :15:48.couple of penalty, a couple of opportunities we have seen two

:15:49. > :15:50.clear-cut opportunities for Connacht. This could have been 21-0

:15:51. > :16:00.down for Glasgow. Gregor Townsend will be sitting the

:16:01. > :16:03.changing room saying it is only seven, we have the wind behind us

:16:04. > :16:09.and we can still win this and Glasgow only need one try and get a

:16:10. > :16:11.7-7 draw and get a home semifinal, so it could be a lot worse and they

:16:12. > :16:18.will take a lot of confidence from so it could be a lot worse and they

:16:19. > :16:21.that. Huge game for Glasgow and Connacht but right across the

:16:22. > :16:26.league, it is a really important. When know Edinburgh need to get the

:16:27. > :16:30.bonus point win and they are doing OK, if they get another try,

:16:31. > :16:35.potentially, they will have to hope other results go their way.

:16:36. > :16:45.Absolutely. If you look at Munster and Scarlet is, Ospreys and Ulster,

:16:46. > :16:49.it is so tied for the play-offs. -- tight. I think it is better weather

:16:50. > :16:55.down in south Wales and West Wales, they are benefiting from that. So so

:16:56. > :16:57.much to play for, nothing is guaranteed. The only thing you are

:16:58. > :17:00.much to play for, nothing is seeing is Leinster looks like they

:17:01. > :17:04.have guaranteed a home semifinal, so we know the game in Galway was

:17:05. > :17:09.always going to be the other home semi and we have a 7-point game.

:17:10. > :17:13.Zebre look up against Newport Gwent Dragons, they have got the Italian

:17:14. > :17:18.Champions Cup spot and they will be delighted. That is of course only

:17:19. > :17:22.half-time. Let's have a look at the Edinburgh tries, three so far.

:17:23. > :17:28.Hamish Watson, sensational all season, gets the first one. Hamish

:17:29. > :17:33.Watson has been fantastic. Obviously this year, with Rodney Grant leaving

:17:34. > :17:39.but then John Hardy coming, great off-load by Dupre, he has been doing

:17:40. > :17:43.that all season. Brings out two defenders and that there is space

:17:44. > :17:49.for Hamish Watson. Got them after a good start. Another player who will

:17:50. > :17:55.be sorely mist, Matt Scott, gets on the end of this one. Good awareness.

:17:56. > :18:00.He is off to Gloucester, he will be a big loss, his last game at

:18:01. > :18:05.Murrayfield. And again, great pick-up. So Edinburgh, they have

:18:06. > :18:10.played good rugby and again, Matt Scott putting another chip in, Tom

:18:11. > :18:15.Brown saying I am having that, you are not getting your second try.

:18:16. > :18:21.Great awareness again. Hamish Watson has been good all season. This is

:18:22. > :18:23.why I think Edinburgh will lose. I went down the West Country and

:18:24. > :18:27.why I think Edinburgh will lose. I played for bat, it is a fantastic

:18:28. > :18:30.place to play, Matt Scott has been a great servant and it is right for

:18:31. > :18:36.him to lead but it is what Edinburgh will lose, and outstanding player.

:18:37. > :18:40.If he puts a little kick in in his last game at home, maybe not being

:18:41. > :18:44.played to what he has been told to do, shaking it up and enjoying

:18:45. > :18:52.himself, they will miss him. They also have a lot of things to happen

:18:53. > :18:55.with Ospreys and Munster for them to get into the sixth place, but what

:18:56. > :19:00.they need to get is a bonus point. They have got three tries in the

:19:01. > :19:03.first art, they must get a bought one and hope that Munster lose at

:19:04. > :19:10.home and Ospreys lose at home, which could happen, so they still have a

:19:11. > :19:13.chance, albeit an outside chance, of getting both Scottish sides in the

:19:14. > :19:17.Champions Cup next year. Let's have a look at the chances of Glasgow

:19:18. > :19:22.been defending champions and winning it once again. They don't have to

:19:23. > :19:25.get a home semifinal but no way team has ever won a semifinal in the

:19:26. > :19:29.Pro12 when it comes to the play-offs. Leinster we know are

:19:30. > :19:33.going to be the home team in one of them, and the winner today will be

:19:34. > :19:39.the home team. So what do Glasgow have to do to turn it around? It has

:19:40. > :19:42.been a tough 40 minutes. It has been tough, but there is no need to

:19:43. > :19:46.panic, they have the conditions and the wind behind them and they only

:19:47. > :19:51.need to draw this game to get the home semi. I think they just need to

:19:52. > :19:56.be a bit more sensible about what they are doing around the contact.

:19:57. > :20:01.The control that Ali Price didn't really have, they need to get. But

:20:02. > :20:05.there is no need to panic. They need to take their kicks. Finn Russell

:20:06. > :20:09.has missed two but you would expect him to get both. You will get that

:20:10. > :20:14.in games and you need to react to it. It is all to play for. Nothing

:20:15. > :20:17.has changed. There have been a few injuries, Jonny Gray has been on and

:20:18. > :20:23.off and when your captain does that, sometimes it is difficult, Alex

:20:24. > :20:26.Dunbar has gone off injured. He has been really unlucky with injuries

:20:27. > :20:30.but Mark Bennett comes off the bench, quality international player.

:20:31. > :20:36.They just need to play better. If they can take it back to the first

:20:37. > :20:40.ten, 15 minutes, where we saw the confidence that we had talked about

:20:41. > :20:46.was absolutely there. They just need to get their execution in a bit

:20:47. > :20:49.better, and because of the ball and ease their way back into the game,

:20:50. > :20:53.get the scoreboard ticking over. They don't need to win it in the

:20:54. > :20:57.first ten minutes, they just need to make sure they are up in the last

:20:58. > :21:00.five minutes. So far this season, we have seen Glasgow put in big

:21:01. > :21:04.second-half performances and that is what they need to do in Galway.

:21:05. > :21:10.Let's go back to John Beattie and Hugh.

:21:11. > :21:15.Don't panic, the man said. I agree entirely. The worry is the weather

:21:16. > :21:20.is getting worse. The Warriors have a really good chance of getting a

:21:21. > :21:23.home semi. As Andy said, they just have two draw and we all know they

:21:24. > :21:31.are good when the games get tasty. This is going to be a great second

:21:32. > :21:37.half. It is horrible. And it is a big, big game. Glasgow will play

:21:38. > :21:43.from left to right with conditions in their favour. This is the way

:21:44. > :21:55.Connacht were playing when they defended 7-0 against Leinster.

:21:56. > :22:03.However, seven points to the good, Connacht. The prize is a home tie in

:22:04. > :22:08.a fortnight's time. Finn Russell looks ever so relaxed about it. He

:22:09. > :22:14.will get the second half under way, Glasgow from left to right go along

:22:15. > :22:17.with their first play. Let's see whether the tactics will change. The

:22:18. > :22:24.conditions are certainly very different, in terms of playing with

:22:25. > :22:32.the wind. The rain is relentless. And the storm they had to face, much

:22:33. > :22:38.of it channelled through Bundee Aki, it has to be said. That gave you an

:22:39. > :22:45.indication, look out short that was. Josh Strauss goes for a gallop. And

:22:46. > :22:50.one or two of the Glasgow players, they have not been anonymous, but

:22:51. > :22:54.they have been kept quiet. Nakarawa for one, Russell has been in and out

:22:55. > :23:00.of the game. They have had to adjust to Dunbar going off. Wilson has had

:23:01. > :23:05.a spell of. The captain has been off for a while. It doesn't help, but

:23:06. > :23:14.Connacht have their changes to adjust to also.

:23:15. > :23:20.Again, good defence. Connacht fighting for every ball. And Ian

:23:21. > :23:26.Davies, the referee, the Welshman in his 47th game in the competition.

:23:27. > :23:31.Josh Strauss, that is twice he has taken the ball in already. Jonny

:23:32. > :23:35.Gray this time. Glasgow pile in. They will be looking for something

:23:36. > :23:41.out of this. They can pick and go here. Different conditions,

:23:42. > :23:47.different solutions. They go left, this time a little chip through on

:23:48. > :23:54.the left foot. Tiernan O'Halloran is off on his 100th appearance for the

:23:55. > :23:59.home team, one of two. Nakarawa just strolling for word. Saw the error of

:24:00. > :24:06.his ways at the last minute and beat a hasty retreat. There is the other

:24:07. > :24:09.his ways at the last minute and beat Centurion, Marmion, who has been a

:24:10. > :24:15.key figure today, playing the conditions and playing the Glasgow

:24:16. > :24:20.defence. They would play here all day to win 7-0. They have done it

:24:21. > :24:27.before. An injury on the far side for Connacht. Number 12, Bundee Aki,

:24:28. > :24:32.who has taken as something hit. Glasgow pile in and they are

:24:33. > :24:38.penalised in front of the huge home support. Glasgow just not releasing

:24:39. > :24:43.the ball. Not the cleverest thing. You need all 15 men on the field,

:24:44. > :24:47.that is for sure. Wouldn't want to tempt fate by taking Connacht on

:24:48. > :24:53.with anything less than the full set of reinforcements.

:24:54. > :24:57.Let's see how Connacht shifted from here, because this again will show

:24:58. > :25:15.us what they are playing against. Ian Davies the referee misheard

:25:16. > :25:17.something, he thought he had been asked for a tee. That one has gone

:25:18. > :25:30.over the stand. I suspect Connacht won't be in any

:25:31. > :25:37.hurry at any point here. No, and they are unwilling to give the ball

:25:38. > :25:44.away, they have to do what Connacht did. Even in the wind, they were

:25:45. > :25:48.keeping the ball. Trying something different, pick and go, it is

:25:49. > :25:56.recycled. Glasgow this time are the sprinters. They may have lost it,

:25:57. > :26:02.Connacht have lost that one. Not happy, Muldowney, as he got up.

:26:03. > :26:09.Number six Sean O'Brien is the one thing. AJ MacGinty took a hefty one

:26:10. > :26:15.there. Fraser Brown. I think the problem for Connacht... Mind you it

:26:16. > :26:17.looked as if it came off his feet. The problem for Connacht is they

:26:18. > :26:21.know they can't kick and therefore in terms of the Warriors defence,

:26:22. > :26:26.they don't have to have so many people in backfield, they can have

:26:27. > :26:30.more people in the first line of defence and go up and tackle him but

:26:31. > :26:34.you can feel that game is going to be quite a bit more to the

:26:35. > :26:39.right-hand side as we look it. And you said earlier, the key is that

:26:40. > :26:47.Glasgow use their kicks as a platform. They need to attack. Brown

:26:48. > :26:57.delivering it. Nakarawa gets it back. 24-0, Leinster. They have

:26:58. > :27:03.secured their bonus point, job done for them, we think. That would take

:27:04. > :27:09.them to the top if the Glasgow result stays. There is a penalty

:27:10. > :27:16.coming to Glasgow. Side entry, Sean O'Brien again. That is twice he has

:27:17. > :27:22.cost them. That is just a straight cynical. There is a maul, they don't

:27:23. > :27:28.want to give away too much ground. That is ridiculous. That is a mile

:27:29. > :27:32.offside. What he is saying is I will give the penalty away so they don't

:27:33. > :27:36.humiliate us. There is an example of how the tactics and thought

:27:37. > :27:42.processes working, Glasgow have gone for another one of the line. They

:27:43. > :27:45.declined the opportunity to go for the posts. That could mean all sorts

:27:46. > :27:47.of things. They obviously fancied themselves for seven or at least

:27:48. > :28:04.five. Six-man line-out. Glasgow go

:28:05. > :28:18.quicker, quicker. Jonny Gray. Strauss waits. Five metres. Jonny

:28:19. > :28:24.Gray again. Still five metres. This is where Connacht are good, because

:28:25. > :28:28.they could keep it here all day. They will tackle themselves to a

:28:29. > :28:35.standstill. Glasgow are home and dry! It is Gordon Reid who has

:28:36. > :28:40.scored for Glasgow. I was about to say this is where the Warriors are

:28:41. > :28:45.good, a big fake. Everything has been faked to the right, a sneaky

:28:46. > :28:49.peek and go that Nakarawa did first half and takes it almost through the

:28:50. > :28:55.middle. You are not going to stop the Gordon Reid. Everything is set

:28:56. > :28:59.up to the right. This turns the game completely on its head, completely

:29:00. > :29:04.different ball game. And the longer this would have gone on for Glasgow

:29:05. > :29:08.to score, the more difficult it would have become because of the

:29:09. > :29:13.frustration level. You can see the captain's reaction. He didn't even

:29:14. > :29:17.give the ball away after he took it back. First score to Glasgow and the

:29:18. > :29:27.chance for Finn Russell to add the icing.

:29:28. > :29:33.That is not that much easier in the conditions, but he has done the job,

:29:34. > :29:40.he has done the business and we have a 7-7 scoreline. If you see on the

:29:41. > :29:44.clock, we have eight minutes played in the second period of this crucial

:29:45. > :29:49.match on the finishing day. The Glasgow flags are flying. And

:29:50. > :29:53.Connacht now have a measure of what Glasgow are going to offer in

:29:54. > :29:58.response and John Beattie, you would imagine that is exactly what record

:29:59. > :30:02.Townsend asks for. Yes, they change is likely to go more pick and go so

:30:03. > :30:06.they weren't exposing themselves wider out. They will try and use the

:30:07. > :30:07.line-outs, the wind, to get themselves down there. They always

:30:08. > :30:27.attack blind issue. End A bit of afters. It is all

:30:28. > :30:35.beginning to boil over and just in passing there, we saw Leinster have

:30:36. > :30:40.clinched their bonus point. They are tasting the it. So... The

:30:41. > :30:44.circumstances have changed slightly of course in that Glasgow are in a

:30:45. > :30:48.draw situation at the moment, but we don't want to get any further ahead

:30:49. > :30:53.of ourselves than we have to. We just have to keep offering the

:30:54. > :31:00.pepper tasting, because anything other than -- perm tracing, because

:31:01. > :31:07.any other -- permutations. Just interrupting myself to listen

:31:08. > :31:13.to what Ian Davies had to say. Just a word in his ear. Using his

:31:14. > :31:16.shoulder, and AJ MacGinty is going up the line. No surprise there,

:31:17. > :31:23.because it would be a difficult kick from that side of the pitch against

:31:24. > :31:28.the elements. So, John, it is not unpredictable what is going to

:31:29. > :31:31.happen now, this the way Glasgow conceded the penalty, just a wee

:31:32. > :31:37.shoulder from Puafisi. There is no hiding place these day, from that

:31:38. > :31:44.kind of thing. It was blatant, but here we go, this is, it's a game now

:31:45. > :31:49.of territory, with wind and rain and mauling.

:31:50. > :31:55.Well, he has been taken in the air, so Ian Davies doesn't like that.

:31:56. > :32:01.Some footwork there from Muldowney. Puafisi, again, involved and they

:32:02. > :32:08.are all piling in. Puafisi is in the middle of it. That is twice he has

:32:09. > :32:12.been. He rucked beyond the ball. The thing about these dust ups, is that

:32:13. > :32:16.home teams love them. If you are the home team you like it because they

:32:17. > :32:38.get the crowd involved. Let us look at this please. The word

:32:39. > :32:47.head appeared there, in... It is Puafisi they are having a look at

:32:48. > :32:51.again. They might want to have a look at Muldowney's footwork. That

:32:52. > :32:56.is a head. It is Puafisi's head in the scrum-half. There he goes. Oh

:32:57. > :33:00.dear. Oh dear. It is a straight ruck. . It looked like a ruck but it

:33:01. > :33:10.was head to chin. When that appears it will look worse, and it does not

:33:11. > :33:14.look good at all. Ooh! Well,... There is another

:33:15. > :33:19.incidents. The options are he didn't Ooh! Well,... There is another

:33:20. > :33:24.know his head was going to hit the scrum-half's head in which case he

:33:25. > :33:29.is innocent or he did know, if he did know, he has gone. For ten

:33:30. > :33:40.minutes any way. You know there is a stamp. We saw that stamp as well.

:33:41. > :33:46.This is the more, yes. OK, let us see what Ian tea streets is going to

:33:47. > :33:51.do. Ian tea cease is going to do. Plea black led with his head to the

:33:52. > :33:57.nine of green, therefore that is serious foul play. So we are talking

:33:58. > :34:02.a red card against 3 black. Jonny. OK. I tell you what I have seen. The

:34:03. > :34:06.stamp would have been dealt with by penalty. Three has led with his

:34:07. > :34:12.head. I have no alternative but to issue a red card. A red card for

:34:13. > :34:17.Puafisi. Red card, serious foul play. I have

:34:18. > :34:25.no alternative, the referee said to Jonny Gray. The Glasgow captain.

:34:26. > :34:36.That the second time he was involved in an incident, and now, the second

:34:37. > :34:43.part of it. All right, as I read this, it was a bit of soft shoe

:34:44. > :34:50.shuffle old school rucking. Yes. No malice by Connacht and then the

:34:51. > :34:54.referee has decided that that Puafisi, knew where his head was

:34:55. > :34:57.going. Now that would be a red card, that is a head-butt effectively, the

:34:58. > :35:04.only reason you would keep him on if he didn't know, if he is looking

:35:05. > :35:09.down to ruck, but I tell you if Glasgow Warriors survive this, man

:35:10. > :35:13.down it is the win of the century. Well serious foul play is a no

:35:14. > :35:17.option situation for the referee. There are options for Connacht,

:35:18. > :35:22.because they are playing against 14 men for 31 minutes. At least. Look

:35:23. > :35:26.that the Henshaw is in the maul. The two centres are in the maul. Aki is

:35:27. > :35:29.in there. Holding it, because they are going

:35:30. > :35:34.for a penalty here at the very least. And they are heading for the

:35:35. > :35:38.line, Glasgow have put all the resources in, they have gone the

:35:39. > :35:42.ground, so they have to play it. Ryan Wilson gets in there.

:35:43. > :35:46.That was loose. That could have been... Knock-on. That could have

:35:47. > :35:50.been a knock-on, Ian Davies has allowed them to go on. They are in

:35:51. > :35:55.reaching distance of the line. Glasgow come in quickly.

:35:56. > :35:59.Nakarawa over the top and he is told to get out. They are going to play a

:36:00. > :36:05.forward advantage. They will pummel up. And clatter in, they will fire

:36:06. > :36:11.it out. Here it comes. MacGinty. He has had to go the other way and he

:36:12. > :36:14.is scragged by Finn Russell. Glasgow have done well so far to

:36:15. > :36:23.keep them to this. Here they come in. And the ball is loose.

:36:24. > :36:25.Now, Mark Bennett. Well, in adversity, there is probably no

:36:26. > :36:30.Now, Mark Bennett. Well, in better side, but they are certainly

:36:31. > :36:34.going to have no more adversity than this, I can tell you. Sit down!

:36:35. > :36:38.Again the head is an issue. One has to be careful because that Connacht

:36:39. > :36:43.player has taken a big hit and Glasgow clear their lines. That is

:36:44. > :36:48.something of a moral victory if nothing else, the ball is with Matt

:36:49. > :36:54.Healy, the nine try scorer, he has options, he takes the outside Ruth

:36:55. > :36:58.and he is take -- route. That gives Glasgow the time if nothing else to

:36:59. > :37:03.reorganise and get their breath back. Brave defence, brave defence

:37:04. > :37:08.by Glasgow. And a breaker and this is Fraser Brown, he goes in, bang,

:37:09. > :37:13.that is, from that player there, as well, he is also not happy, he took

:37:14. > :37:22.one on the chin. Good abrasive running from Brown.

:37:23. > :37:26.Ospreys 14, Ulster 31. We reckon, we croak con that secures fourth spot

:37:27. > :37:31.for -- reckon that secures fourth spot for Ulster. If they win they

:37:32. > :37:37.get fourth. Seems to be the simplest way of explaining it. So all of a

:37:38. > :37:42.sudden John, it is absolutely critical now, what happens. Happens.

:37:43. > :37:47.It always was, critical is perhaps the best word to use, but all the

:37:48. > :37:51.circumstances seem to be piling against Glasgow, but they have the

:37:52. > :37:54.wind in their favour, it could be a big factor. I don't think the Med

:37:55. > :38:00.Dick is happy with the prop playing big factor. I don't think the Med

:38:01. > :38:07.on. He took a big one. He took a big hit. Fraser Brown was... -- medic.

:38:08. > :38:10.He is asking to have the play chequered which is in the

:38:11. > :38:17.circumstances is... We have an injured prop in Connacht. If he goes

:38:18. > :38:23.off to be checked That is the way it is heading at the moment. Let us

:38:24. > :38:28.have a word with Andy adds we watch number 18, Rodney Ah You leaving the

:38:29. > :38:32.field. What an interesting start. Glasgow came, got right back in in

:38:33. > :38:36.with a great start at seven all, as we know that is enough to get

:38:37. > :38:40.Glasgow a home semifinal but it is that much more challenging with

:38:41. > :38:45.Puafisi's red card. It is there. Now Glasgow have to dig deep. We know

:38:46. > :38:49.their quality, now we will find out about their character, they can do

:38:50. > :38:53.this and what you need to do is it is 30 minute, you almost go in three

:38:54. > :38:58.ten minute periods. Let us stay in each ten n the last ten minute if

:38:59. > :39:07.you are still there try and guts it out this will tell us about this

:39:08. > :39:11.Glasgow Warriors side. It sure will. Because the odds and the outcome

:39:12. > :39:15.could be hugely important. Never mind the safety net of having

:39:16. > :39:19.qualified for the play-offs already, the difference would be they would

:39:20. > :39:25.be playing at Scotstoun if they can survive this or better it.

:39:26. > :39:29.Ali Price goes left. He needs some point on the board. You would think

:39:30. > :39:35.Glasgow need to score next. If they could get something else on the

:39:36. > :39:48.board. Ali Price has a snipe. Ryan Wilson. There is a comfort for

:39:49. > :39:54.Glasgow, they have aces in the backs. Russell decides not the kick.

:39:55. > :39:58.And again, they are bold and adventurous, Strauss takes it on,

:39:59. > :40:01.they are making ground. Making ground.

:40:02. > :40:09.That is not enough, they need to make scores.

:40:10. > :40:12.It is all and belief, as Andy Nicols said, a little chip, looking for

:40:13. > :40:15.Nakarawa but he couldn't quite get there.

:40:16. > :40:23.Jonny Gray has a dig. Marmion. And again, this time it's a

:40:24. > :40:30.lower kick, testing the Glasgow defence, the nerve. Flung in words

:40:31. > :40:34.by Tommy Seymour to Hogg. Hogg, that little step that seems to defeat

:40:35. > :40:40.everybody. He has lost the ball and taken it forward and gets it back.

:40:41. > :40:43.His feet were in touch. Frustration, because the small margins when he

:40:44. > :40:49.goes off on one like that, he can crack it. He is world class, he is

:40:50. > :40:54.world class, and he just, Bundee Aki is trying to take him into touch. It

:40:55. > :40:58.comes off Bundee Aki, it is on the front cover of one of these Glamour

:40:59. > :41:04.magazines I am sure you have been in Dan! I think it's the Hello!

:41:05. > :41:11.Magazine. No, I was in the Dandy. He is great. He does that outside break

:41:12. > :41:16.really well. I think as Andy says, we are in crucial moments of this

:41:17. > :41:18.match. Whoever gets the next score will be happier, Warriors have a

:41:19. > :41:21.match. Whoever gets the next score fight with 14 men down, the

:41:22. > :41:26.line-outs have been crafted. They haven't messed up any line-outs. The

:41:27. > :41:29.scrums are even. It is about against, can you get through a

:41:30. > :41:34.defensive pattern. Shane O'Leary has come on for the Irish team at number

:41:35. > :41:37.22. They are ringing the changes,

:41:38. > :41:43.because at some point they have to step on the gas. Oh. They have to

:41:44. > :41:46.try and put the game beyond reach, I suppose, they have turned this one.

:41:47. > :41:53.Change of tack. Over the top. This is what we would

:41:54. > :41:59.want Glasgow or expect Glasgow to do, Lee Jones goes off on a jaunt.

:42:00. > :42:05.Tugged back by the shirt, and there is another turn over. It is a

:42:06. > :42:12.knock-on. Ball taken to ground. It is all just becoming so difficult

:42:13. > :42:17.but then it would. You are a man down, technically great maul

:42:18. > :42:26.defence. Watch Muldowney. He is shielded by Loughney, gets in,

:42:27. > :42:36.without being offside. That is where the knock-on happened.

:42:37. > :42:42.Ronan Loughney getting some attention. Zebre 40 points, to the

:42:43. > :42:48.Dragons. Treviso are losing. Treviso are losing in Ireland, so

:42:49. > :42:50.that guarantees we understand, already, Zebre are guaranteed

:42:51. > :43:08.Champions Cup rugby. And the fields of Athen Rye are damp

:43:09. > :43:13.but in good voice. Thinking here, how do you try and win this game now

:43:14. > :43:16.for Glasgow? Puafisi, I think he annoyed the referee, the referee

:43:17. > :43:21.warned him, and then next thing he did, he was off and as Andy said you

:43:22. > :43:25.can call it either way, if he knew what his head was doing he deserves

:43:26. > :43:30.to go off. Didn't really get through Connacht first half, but did in the

:43:31. > :43:33.second half. And I think there is enough, even if you are a man down,

:43:34. > :43:37.enough to think about getting the ball down the pitch and get in

:43:38. > :43:48.behind them and get line-outs and try and score. Is it me or did it

:43:49. > :43:53.see Sean Lamont on the far side? I think I am losing it You did. I did.

:43:54. > :43:58.That is a a leaf. Sean Lamont has come on and appeared at wing

:43:59. > :44:07.forwardment /forward. They will have brought on

:44:08. > :44:12.Yanuyanutawa and sacrifice a back. So Sean Lamont comes in, because he

:44:13. > :44:16.can't, you don't want to creep back on your set piece, so bring a big

:44:17. > :44:20.man like Lamont, to give them a bit of beef. I have seen him going in

:44:21. > :44:24.there before, I wouldn't want him there all the time, but he has been

:44:25. > :44:28.in there. Looks like Loughney's day is done. He is struggling with the

:44:29. > :44:34.rib injury, rib or shoulder, the time he is taking I think suggests

:44:35. > :44:37.that there is going to be a change, there is some walkie-talkie going

:44:38. > :44:42.on, shake of the head, doesn't look good. The longer the game goes on,

:44:43. > :44:43.John, if you were a coach in Glasgow, just now, you would want

:44:44. > :44:48.them just to dig in, get to the last Glasgow, just now, you would want

:44:49. > :44:54.10, 15 minutes or have a go. You can't defend this. You have to keep

:44:55. > :44:59.playing, keep playing, Connacht as you said, they are a proud team they

:45:00. > :45:05.defend well. They attack well. They have big centres in hen shaurks they

:45:06. > :45:09.have an uncompromising pack. The Warriors haven't dominated them. You

:45:10. > :45:12.could look at the Connacht defensive line and say maybe say it touch

:45:13. > :45:14.offside but it is quick. You really are in a game where you are in an

:45:15. > :45:24.arm wrestle. You have got to think of every

:45:25. > :45:29.scrum, every line-out, come up the pitch. They changed slightly after

:45:30. > :45:32.half-time to make it pick and go and that Gordon Reid was straight pick

:45:33. > :45:39.half-time to make it pick and go and and go but they are in a tough arm

:45:40. > :45:48.wrestle. They know if it stays this way, it is a home semi. The prizes

:45:49. > :45:53.so big. -- the prize is so big. That gives them a big problem, because

:45:54. > :46:02.that is their prop routine gone, I think. Meantime, we will go back to

:46:03. > :46:10.Andy. I think this could be a huge result for Glasgow, a huge advantage

:46:11. > :46:15.with the extra man, Sean Lamont, not used to being there, that could be a

:46:16. > :46:19.real attacking threat nullified with uncontested, so that is one bullet

:46:20. > :46:24.dodged for Glasgow. John Muldoon will have that in mind, would you go

:46:25. > :46:32.as far as to say that has balanced out the loss of the man? It does to

:46:33. > :46:38.some extent. If this is uncontested, they have lost the prop, they have

:46:39. > :46:46.lost props to, get some runners on. He asked, can you play loosehead? It

:46:47. > :46:54.is not uncontested, the hooker can play loosehead. That fired back.

:46:55. > :46:58.Marmion, off he goes. Sells the dummy, but Finn Russell got there

:46:59. > :47:08.eventually. They were looking for the flying winger. Meantime, they

:47:09. > :47:14.are having a go by all more orthodox route -- and more orthodox route.

:47:15. > :47:20.Scrambling on their knees towards the line. Marmion takes it on a run.

:47:21. > :47:25.Glasgow came flying out, Tommy Seymour almost got his mitts on it.

:47:26. > :47:40.What will they do? Will they try and go up towards the post? No, they

:47:41. > :47:43.shove it out again. They are claiming on the line but Ian Davies

:47:44. > :47:51.has said no, they come left. Nakarawa dives in. Testing times for

:47:52. > :47:57.Glasgow. That is a loose pass and Glasgow have nicked it. Well,

:47:58. > :48:03.Glasgow nicked it, maybe one has too many and they kick just not quite

:48:04. > :48:08.enough room for it, but almost a kick to nothing. Now they had two

:48:09. > :48:19.chances, really. Great break Behrami and then that right-hand side. -- by

:48:20. > :48:27.Marmion. Marmion is quick and I wondered why they went so wide. Why

:48:28. > :48:35.are they chucking all these passes in? Hogg put him off in. It was a

:48:36. > :48:41.risk they didn't need to take, the options were therefore just punching

:48:42. > :48:45.onwards. The knock-on by Matt Healy of all people shows you how

:48:46. > :49:00.difficult the day is. That is the top scorer in the league.

:49:01. > :49:07.Update from Murrayfield, not good news, I am afraid. Two quick tries

:49:08. > :49:13.from Cardiff have put them in the lead 21-17. They need to win,

:49:14. > :49:17.Edinburgh, in the first place, that is the key to it, so that is looking

:49:18. > :49:24.difficult for Edinburgh from now on in. Edinburgh in arrears, which is

:49:25. > :49:28.not good. Here we go, Connacht trying to disrupt, still contesting

:49:29. > :49:35.the scrums, for all the changes and difficulties we have had with

:49:36. > :49:40.personnel. It would certainly aid the Glasgow cause if uncontested

:49:41. > :49:44.scrums came into play. It would just make life a little bit easier. They

:49:45. > :49:53.have to engineer a movement now. Jonny Gray the skipper. Fagerson

:49:54. > :50:03.there with the helmet, shielding. Strauss delivers. They don't want to

:50:04. > :50:08.be anywhere near their posts. Jonny Gray has a little less than subtle

:50:09. > :50:13.block which he gets away with. Finn Russell manages to get away.

:50:14. > :50:20.Connacht are appealing, Jonny Gray was less than helpful. They are

:50:21. > :50:23.appealing. Good except play, a couple of passes into midfield and

:50:24. > :50:30.Ben Jonny Gray, he just stood his ground. I think that is called

:50:31. > :50:35.loitering with intent if you do it in the street. Anyway... The boys

:50:36. > :50:40.are hanging in. This is all they in the street. Anyway... The boys

:50:41. > :50:46.need, this scoreline. Here we go, that has been spotted. This, I

:50:47. > :50:54.think, is the Jonny Gray block we are having a look at. Ian Davies is

:50:55. > :51:03.rapidly becoming the key figure in this game. The TMR says Black number

:51:04. > :51:09.five, so Jonny Gray, you can't run out of your channel to defend a

:51:10. > :51:17.player and block. He did move, it is there for everyone to see. Ian

:51:18. > :51:25.Davies asking for another look. Here it is. Just on the goal-line. Taking

:51:26. > :51:29.half a step to the right. Now, it is a moot point whether the player

:51:30. > :51:36.would have reached Finn Russell or not.

:51:37. > :51:44.Penalty coming, I suspect, the captain is going to get a word in

:51:45. > :51:54.his ear. You don't normally hear the referee calling the captain by his

:51:55. > :51:59.first nine, but there you go. He can't really grumble with that, but

:52:00. > :52:04.I suppose it is three points but it is three unnecessary points and they

:52:05. > :52:08.are going to have a go at five. The trouble is, for my book, Marmion

:52:09. > :52:14.played it, Marmion took a slight dive, but Jonny Gray came out of his

:52:15. > :52:22.line to defend him. The referee has been calling him Jonny and I don't

:52:23. > :52:25.think Jonny Gray needed to do that, they weren't going to get to the

:52:26. > :52:32.kicker. And there maul has been good. This is perfect range for

:52:33. > :52:40.Connacht here. First job done, it is taken down. Oh, and they have

:52:41. > :52:46.spilled it. They have spilled it. Now, that will be frustrating for

:52:47. > :52:53.Connacht. Nakarawa as skiing for the ball in touch. Nakarawa got his hand

:52:54. > :52:58.over the top of the maul. Hands right over and he pulls this ball

:52:59. > :53:04.out. He pulls the ball out. Unbelievable.

:53:05. > :53:11.Same again, I expect. Another chance for Connacht. We are on the hour

:53:12. > :53:18.mark just about. The Sports Ground in Galway. Leave it until they come

:53:19. > :53:22.to grand. They want all effort directed to this aspect of the

:53:23. > :53:27.blockage. It is all over the place. Glasgow have hands in. They are

:53:28. > :53:34.looking for the winner. And they have got it, it is Tiernan

:53:35. > :53:41.O'Halloran, I think. Man on man has won the cross kickball bat, John

:53:42. > :53:47.Beattie, could be a influential score -- the cross kickball and

:53:48. > :53:53.that, John Beattie, could be an influential score. This is a good

:53:54. > :53:59.maul. It is well defended and varies the kick from their, they look

:54:00. > :54:03.onside to me. That is a straight gay league football kit, Henshaw does it

:54:04. > :54:10.well normally, this is the full-back O'Halloran. Well, he read it

:54:11. > :54:15.carefully and the touch judge, to be perfectly honest, should be able to

:54:16. > :54:22.call that very easily and O'Halloran, I think, has done the

:54:23. > :54:25.business. It has been given. So a try to Connacht and the chance to

:54:26. > :54:31.put two points, two more points to the school.

:54:32. > :54:38.-- score. And the crowd will tell you, we don't need the flags but we

:54:39. > :54:42.have got them, just to confirm, that Connacht have added two more to

:54:43. > :54:45.their tally and all of a sudden, that mountain has just got that

:54:46. > :54:51.their tally and all of a sudden, little bit bigger and the job has

:54:52. > :54:57.got that little bit harder, 14-7. I will make a brutal point and I don't

:54:58. > :55:01.apologise for it, I remember being told you can coach players anything

:55:02. > :55:06.but players ultimately make mistakes, it is usually Mest passed

:55:07. > :55:09.or a missed tackle but in this case it is a stupid penalty from Puafisi

:55:10. > :55:17.and Jonny Gray giving a penalty when they didn't need to. Still winnable.

:55:18. > :55:25.Harsh but true. That is what has changed this game, without a shadow

:55:26. > :55:31.of a doubt. The penalty on the line which gave them a kickable

:55:32. > :55:36.opportunity. Fair play to Connacht. Stuart Hogg just about get through

:55:37. > :55:40.and he has spilled it. That is a great tackle again and they have

:55:41. > :55:45.made a hash of the clearance. The referee will go back and take the

:55:46. > :55:48.knock-on by Stuart Hogg. It is going to take something from the likes of

:55:49. > :55:58.Stuart Hogg to turn this around now, isn't it? It will take getting into

:55:59. > :56:01.the danger area. You could attack, from Stuart Hogg you could end up

:56:02. > :56:05.having a kick from him by halfway with the wind behind it after a

:56:06. > :56:11.couple of penalties, that is the kind of thing that could turn this

:56:12. > :56:14.game around but at the moment, the Warriors, I can't remember them

:56:15. > :56:21.having been right of centre much in this last 20 minutes. And it is

:56:22. > :56:25.mostly Connacht. As you say, they are good at throttling games. I

:56:26. > :56:30.wouldn't write off the Warriors, they have enough talent in that

:56:31. > :56:34.division, enough talent in that pack, to get something out of this.

:56:35. > :56:39.They need to get across the gain line. The key has been the Connacht

:56:40. > :56:40.defence, the way they have come up and just sacked people, and the

:56:41. > :57:02.penalties. The referee says it should be like

:57:03. > :57:06.riding a bike. I don't know if scrummaging is really that simple.

:57:07. > :57:14.It is one way of looking at it. Marmion.

:57:15. > :57:20.All of a sudden, Connacht having plenty of the ball, but it is this

:57:21. > :57:22.lack of territory that is punishing Glasgow. They need to get here and

:57:23. > :57:34.stay here. And again, the confidence just

:57:35. > :57:41.beginning to seep through the Connacht players. Alan McKeon and

:57:42. > :57:49.another 20, has come on, fresh legs, just after the hour -- and McKeon.

:57:50. > :57:58.But there is a mistake, straight into touch, the frustration there

:57:59. > :57:59.are obvious for everyone to see. It gives Glasgow the ball from the

:58:00. > :58:16.touchline. Gregor Townsend calling some shops.

:58:17. > :58:27.And the rain teams down at the Sports Ground. The rain certainly

:58:28. > :58:28.hasn't aided Glasgow's cause. Most of the damage has been

:58:29. > :58:45.self-inflicted. Nakarawa, untidy. Strauss picks up.

:58:46. > :58:49.Still a one score game, however. I try and a conversion would get

:58:50. > :58:53.Glasgow where they need to be and they always back themselves in the

:58:54. > :58:57.last ten minutes. Whether they can do that... A quick look at the

:58:58. > :59:05.Ulster score, 41-19 ahead of the Ospreys. Not looking good for all

:59:06. > :59:14.staff. Glasgow float one over the top. And a game, another penalty,

:59:15. > :59:21.holding the ball. And every call now is going the Connacht way. That is

:59:22. > :59:27.the whole game in a microcosm. Glasgow trucked up and they didn't

:59:28. > :59:33.get anywhere and they decked him. They rushed up so much in midfield,

:59:34. > :59:39.it had to be a long pass from Finn Russell and when Sean Lamont went up

:59:40. > :59:42.the pitch, he is tackled. At the moment, the Warriors cannot get

:59:43. > :59:45.across the gain line and it is such a rushed defence that if they pass

:59:46. > :59:52.the ball ten metres laterally, it will be man on ball. Cracking game.

:59:53. > :00:00.The only bonus therefore Glasgow was the wind against Connacht has kept

:00:01. > :00:05.their back. He has an uncanny habit of knowing when he is on camera, Pat

:00:06. > :00:06.Lam. Further changes for Connacht. Marmion, the centurion, one of the

:00:07. > :00:26.two. Ryan Wilson, another change for

:00:27. > :00:29.Glasgow. Oh Glasgow beginning to look tired

:00:30. > :00:32.and gaps appearing. In the middle of their defensive

:00:33. > :00:37.line, there. Gone backwards.

:00:38. > :00:41.O leerily takes it in. Steadies the ship.

:00:42. > :00:47.Bundee Aki wasn't exactly quick, treating there.

:00:48. > :00:55.This is the arm wrestle Glasgow for sure did not want. Especially when

:00:56. > :01:04.you are a prop down. Connacht come again. Guess who? Aki.

:01:05. > :01:08.Oh, all sorts of running and crossing, Nakarawa flicks one out.

:01:09. > :01:14.Glasgow now. Not quite running loose, but Finn Russell takes it

:01:15. > :01:19.back towards the traffic. Advantage over, they have to play

:01:20. > :01:22.it. Strauss is out on the right-wing

:01:23. > :01:27.now. Glasgow having to think quickly on their feet. They have to keep the

:01:28. > :01:33.ball, that is the first thing they have to do. Ali Price. They just

:01:34. > :01:40.haven't had the position they -- possession they have had in the

:01:41. > :01:45.first half. Peter Horne is thumped. Jonny Gray, who will be very sore

:01:46. > :01:51.about conceding that penalty. Hogg steps away from one but not the

:01:52. > :01:58.second one. Glasgow pile in.

:01:59. > :02:04.Nakarawa, what would they give for something special from the big

:02:05. > :02:10.fella. His big shovel hands are on it. Put

:02:11. > :02:18.on a plate. Russell gives it to Strauss. Strauss. Slightly better

:02:19. > :02:19.from Glasgow, this. Holding the ball, but again, look

:02:20. > :02:26.from Glasgow, this. that the defence.

:02:27. > :02:33.Whirlwind attack every time Glasgow get the ball. They just, there is no

:02:34. > :02:39.breathing space, no time for any of them. As soon as a blue shirt gets

:02:40. > :02:47.the ball Nakarawa jumps to deliver this pass. This time Glasgow have a

:02:48. > :02:56.break. Not making ground. Again, they thump in. Nakarawa, it takes

:02:57. > :03:00.two. It takes three to tango, with Nakarawa. Ali Price lobs one over

:03:01. > :03:04.the back. This is an interesting chase, an interesting chase here and

:03:05. > :03:08.Hogg was up on it. Well, interesting tactic, John. Yes,

:03:09. > :03:13.they were back in the shape, they were back in, nine to a group of

:03:14. > :03:18.forwards, nine to ten, maybe in behind, that was more comfortable,

:03:19. > :03:23.they got moving and it was, this Favaro's break, one tackle, it is

:03:24. > :03:28.missed, once you get past one you are in behind, Nakarawa. I thought

:03:29. > :03:32.he was throttled round the neck, tackle coming up. A little bit but

:03:33. > :03:35.they kept the ball. This is just the chance to get them into their own

:03:36. > :03:39.territory, and sneak a line-out. If they can mess up one line-out you

:03:40. > :03:45.get the try. You are back drawing. That is all it takes. That is all it

:03:46. > :03:51.takes. That was good play by the warrior, that is what they do. Hogg

:03:52. > :03:59.got himself on boards for his trouble. Hart has gone off, that

:04:00. > :04:02.means Grayson comes on. They always Glasgow backed themselves in ten

:04:03. > :04:07.minute, they wouldn't like to be doing it for 14 minutes. I don't

:04:08. > :04:12.think people talk about Stuart you'll enough, the conditioner, what

:04:13. > :04:15.you find with yar your, they are still Gunning for stuff in the 80th

:04:16. > :04:21.minute. They are still blasting away, they won't give up. They have

:04:22. > :04:26.ten minutes left. They know that a draw would possibly make it a

:04:27. > :04:31.Scotstoun Friday night semi. If they If they got to the draw, whatever

:04:32. > :04:35.stage you would back them then about defending it. It is a proud team. It

:04:36. > :04:39.is extraordinary they have come to try to defend it a second time.

:04:40. > :04:46.There San interesting water carrier, looking who got the ten kicks in the

:04:47. > :04:54.try, Duncan Weir. Carrying the water.

:04:55. > :05:14.So we are now uncontested. Number 19.

:05:15. > :05:20.Ian Davies the referee, as you would have to expect, knows the rules

:05:21. > :05:27.better than anyone, and because of the changes that have been made, he

:05:28. > :05:34.has asked Quinn Roux to leave the field. Glasgow are within range and

:05:35. > :05:38.trying to turn the screw on Connacht who are forced to kick. And under

:05:39. > :05:44.pressure, really for the first time in the second half, John. Y agree,

:05:45. > :05:50.you can look at the rain this is the conditions coming left to right.

:05:51. > :05:55.Warriors are not had quick off the ball which is a standard pattern,

:05:56. > :05:59.maybe because they have two of the small centres in Bennett and Horne.

:06:00. > :06:04.They have not had many of the starter players they would normally

:06:05. > :06:10.have. It has been so hard winning the ball. MacArthur deliver, and

:06:11. > :06:17.again, might have been Muldoon got his mitts on that one. They have

:06:18. > :06:20.stolen it. They have stolen it. Some grand larceny from the corner team.

:06:21. > :06:27.They have advantage so Ian Davies will allow them to play a bit.

:06:28. > :06:31.And they have kicked it away now, so defending -- depending on whether

:06:32. > :06:39.this goes out or not. The flag is up. Is I would imagine that that was

:06:40. > :06:46.the Glasgow player, we have full-time at Edinburgh, actually,

:06:47. > :06:50.17-21 Edinburgh have lost, 17.s to 21 against Cardiff, and that

:06:51. > :06:58.unfortunately means that Edinburgh are not going to finish the top six.

:06:59. > :07:06.So their season is done. 21 points to 17 for Cardiff.

:07:07. > :07:14.Park that one for the minute, because there is still business to

:07:15. > :07:19.be done at The sports ground. Think we are in uncontested territory

:07:20. > :07:23.here. Yerkts I would back the Warriors -- yes, I would back the

:07:24. > :07:29.Warriors to come back here and win a semi if it was dry. Connacht are a

:07:30. > :07:34.mongrel team, they fight away the break down, the Warriors are about

:07:35. > :07:38.fizz bang rugby. Nakarawa was offloads, Seymour and we haven't

:07:39. > :07:49.seen these players because they haven't had wide, quick possession.

:07:50. > :08:00.So Grayson Hart. Sean Lamont takes. Now we have a chance to run the

:08:01. > :08:04.Glasgow backs, that is, that is high risk from Stuart Hogg, but high risk

:08:05. > :08:08.to some extent, it doesn't matter if they lose, they know where they are,

:08:09. > :08:14.the prize is if they could get one score or seven point, I should say

:08:15. > :08:20.to make it absolutely accurate, Nakarawa, almost on the left-wing.

:08:21. > :08:25.He wasn't quite the last player. Favaro was outside him. Jonny Gray

:08:26. > :08:30.takes it in. Still, by no means done. Under eight minutes left.

:08:31. > :08:36.Grayson Hart almost fumbles it but gets it away. This time Peter Horne

:08:37. > :08:40.did fumble it big time. That was the conditions the ball must feel like a

:08:41. > :08:44.bar of soap now and Glasgow in trouble. Tommy Seymour has been

:08:45. > :08:49.bundled over the line I suspect. The flag didn't go up. Five metre scrum.

:08:50. > :08:55.Either way, it is, well the scrum is a better option in the sense it is

:08:56. > :08:59.uncontested. But they know they are guaranteed the ball. This is a bad

:09:00. > :09:05.one from Peter honey. He tried to pass it. It slipped out of his

:09:06. > :09:10.hands. I wonder if Seymour thought I would rather we had an uncontested

:09:11. > :09:14.scrum than a line-out. He put his Monday and the line. He tried to

:09:15. > :09:19.keep himself in play. He did try to keep himself in play. I think his

:09:20. > :09:24.hand went on the line. It will be an uncontested scrum unless they get a

:09:25. > :09:29.body off the stand to compete. That was a horrible, horrible pass from

:09:30. > :09:34.Peter Horne. Hard the see from that angle whether his hand was in touch

:09:35. > :09:40.or no. Great presence of mind from Bundee Aki, he knew what he was

:09:41. > :09:47.doing committing Glasgow to turning, and getting back. So big scrum. Big

:09:48. > :09:53.scrum. Well, the trouble is from Glasgow's

:09:54. > :09:57.point of view, if this is uncontested, then they could hit

:09:58. > :10:02.Bundee Aki without even have to worry about pushing. Easy

:10:03. > :10:06.possession, or, Aitken, this looks simple.

:10:07. > :10:11.Here they go. So Glasgow have wrapped them up for the first part

:10:12. > :10:15.of it. Second, Glasgow have advantage coming, that was a great

:10:16. > :10:22.tackle. Great against from Glasgow there. Forced the mistake. Of so at

:10:23. > :10:34.least they have possession now. Glasgow are guaranteed possession by

:10:35. > :10:38.the same token. Let us go to Andy for a view. When it came back in

:10:39. > :10:42.last time it was about going through the ten minute period. Here we with

:10:43. > :10:46.seven minutes left it is one score. It is paramount that Glasgow keep it

:10:47. > :10:49.to one score, if you say there was any team in this league that can

:10:50. > :10:52.score a try from anywhere it is Glasgow. They do that. That would be

:10:53. > :10:56.enough for them to get a home semifinal. But they have to keep the

:10:57. > :11:00.line intact for three points or the seven points, so that was a crucial

:11:01. > :11:09.turn over there that Glasgow got. Glasgow can score, will they do it

:11:10. > :11:14.though? Bundee Aki takes his leave to applause. Understandably, he has

:11:15. > :11:16.been the pick of the bunch. Yes he has been abrasive. He has tackled

:11:17. > :11:22.well. He shouldn't be allowed to has been abrasive. He has tackled

:11:23. > :11:29.join line-outs. There should be a rule! He has been everything a

:11:30. > :11:34.modern centre, he has made Henshaw look quiet. Quite ordinary. Peter

:11:35. > :11:47.Rob is the replacement. Number 23. This is contested.

:11:48. > :11:52.Strauss. Nice turn, showed the ball and then took it in. Again. Connacht

:11:53. > :11:56.makes life so difficult for Glasgow. The work Glasgow have had to go

:11:57. > :12:00.through to get the ball to nearly 20 minutes. It is over his head. Fallen

:12:01. > :12:11.to Nakarawa, you would want it to fall to Nakarawa of all people.

:12:12. > :12:16.And now a rumble took in. The advantage is over for Favaro.

:12:17. > :12:23.Glasgow stilt have it and they will regard this as priceless possession,

:12:24. > :12:27.by Pete Horne thumped again. Not everyone the great touch of Pete

:12:28. > :12:38.Horne. Look how they wrestle for every ball. Russell. Quick shimmy.

:12:39. > :12:45.Strauss took off as a decoy. Again, strangled. Not literally but

:12:46. > :12:50.metaphorically, Connacht are strangling this game. Jonny Gray

:12:51. > :12:55.flings it again, Glasgow almost resorting to desperation, Tommy

:12:56. > :13:00.Seymour, they are looking for something special now, to goat the

:13:01. > :13:06.other end, to go the whole way. That is the half way line. Here they come

:13:07. > :13:11.again. Nakarawa. That is about four steps for Nakarawa to the other end.

:13:12. > :13:16.Andy Price. Sorry Grayson Hart. They have a penalty coming Glasgow. Now,

:13:17. > :13:23.interesting, off they go, Grayson Hart takes the quick option,

:13:24. > :13:26.Mark Bennett. Bennett. Bennett. We have lost unfortunately we have lost

:13:27. > :13:30.the picture. Glasgow still have it. Apologies for that. The satellite,

:13:31. > :13:34.the weather conditions are whatever, Glasgow still have it. You have not

:13:35. > :13:38.missed anything so far, apart are the 20 metres they have made.

:13:39. > :13:46.Nakarawa, inside the 22 metre line. Half way. Glasgow, is this their

:13:47. > :13:50.final flourish. A quick pass, they need to hold the ball. Sean Lamont

:13:51. > :13:53.has it. That was a heartstopping moment in

:13:54. > :13:58.more ways than one, Glasgow are still there, they are still in play.

:13:59. > :14:02.They shovel it across to midfield. Glasgow, remember, playing with 14

:14:03. > :14:08.men, they have been since the 49th men. They go left. Nakarawa missed

:14:09. > :14:14.out. Hogg has a chance to dance in. Four minutes left for Glasgow to

:14:15. > :14:21.secure a home tie by getting a draw at least. Yanuyanutawa. Fantastic

:14:22. > :14:26.shape. This is the shape. Everything they do is practised. Seymour. That

:14:27. > :14:30.is the 22 metre line. They have crossed that. Each and every yard

:14:31. > :14:35.now is critical. Grayson Hart. Nakarawa. They have been forced back

:14:36. > :14:42.by Connacht, the big hand shoved in someone's face there. Russell, a

:14:43. > :14:45.long pass. Hogg has it. He gets it out to Sean Lamont. Sean Lamont,

:14:46. > :14:53.giving it a blast. Glasgow still have it. The captain to Strauss,

:14:54. > :14:57.back in side the 22 metresches bravery from Glasgow. They still

:14:58. > :15:02.have it. They have spilled it, spilled it inside the 22. Again the

:15:03. > :15:06.relentless relentless pressure by Connacht, forcing Glasgow to spill

:15:07. > :15:11.the ball, with three minutes left. I would like to watch that again, that

:15:12. > :15:16.was brilliant from the warrior, I thought they were in fourth gear, I

:15:17. > :15:21.think they will be Haatchi with what they have saw, this is Lamont. He

:15:22. > :15:27.gets half collared. This is Jonny Gray. He is off the ground, look at

:15:28. > :15:28.the way he battles, extra yard, extra yard and they say that is a

:15:29. > :15:53.knock-on. I didn't see the knock-on. That is Nakarawa just going there

:15:54. > :16:01.and Tim Swinson, I think, came on. I know the importance of this result.

:16:02. > :16:06.For all that they had a semifinal place before they came into the

:16:07. > :16:13.match... The game is not dead, this will be a forlorn scrum in the

:16:14. > :16:17.danger area. They could mess it up, there are a couple of minutes left.

:16:18. > :16:26.You have do have confidence the Warriors could get the ball near the

:16:27. > :16:31.posts and get the unlikely results. In all honesty, it has been

:16:32. > :16:41.unlikely. They want their skipper on their -- his feet, moulded. He is

:16:42. > :16:50.just taking a break, he knows what he's doing. Once detect the

:16:51. > :16:52.temperature out of the game. -- wants to take. The clock has

:16:53. > :17:02.stopped. So a huge scrum. It has gone down.

:17:03. > :17:21.No surprise there. I don't think, certainly from as far

:17:22. > :17:29.as we can see, the referee has decided to stop the clock.

:17:30. > :17:36.Tim Swinson is there in the heart of the scrum. We are heading for less

:17:37. > :17:41.than two and a half minutes now left. Time off this time. Here we

:17:42. > :17:58.go. Well, it is not stopping quite as

:17:59. > :18:03.quickly as Ian Davies would want. Speak your that this is pathetic.

:18:04. > :18:07.Get on with the game. If you want to annoy both sets of players, this is

:18:08. > :18:13.what to do. The first scrum, I thought Connacht tried a soft hit

:18:14. > :18:16.and looked to go down. I don't know what happened there but two minutes

:18:17. > :18:30.left, just get on with the game. It suits the home team. Like a bunch of

:18:31. > :18:43.old carers cannot buy you. It was the push-bike Pat MacArthur. He had

:18:44. > :18:47.pushed his opposite marker. Interesting, we are looking for a

:18:48. > :19:00.punch, according to Ian Davies. He is having a look. What we can't have

:19:01. > :19:06.is afters. From what you said to Jonny Gray... He doesn't like

:19:07. > :19:11.afters. That would suggest an Irishman started it but clearly Pat

:19:12. > :19:17.MacArthur had no wee nudge. Was there something before it? Is there

:19:18. > :19:23.a punch in here? I think the punch is in the blow-up. It is all

:19:24. > :19:31.nothing, that. No, that is pathetic. They know they can't punch. You

:19:32. > :19:38.never see that punishing T Field, John. What are you telling me? --

:19:39. > :19:48.you never see that on a shinty field. Just spoiling the end of the

:19:49. > :19:55.game. I don't know how often we need to see this. It has been called for

:19:56. > :20:00.the video referee. It is going to be in none of those players' show

:20:01. > :20:03.reels. When they grab someone by the collar, they fired through and hit

:20:04. > :20:09.someone in the chin, but inconclusive. Nothing in that after

:20:10. > :20:14.all that. I am not saying he has been touched, I am just saying I

:20:15. > :20:21.think the ball has come forward -- the hand has come forward. Green

:20:22. > :20:38.ball. Green ball, unfortunately, for Glasgow. Two minutes remain to

:20:39. > :20:41.decide who gets the home tie. Kerb just a reminder, it is first against

:20:42. > :20:47.fourth, second against third, that is the way it will turn out. We will

:20:48. > :20:52.go through the permutations at the end of the game when we know all the

:20:53. > :20:53.final results and we will know where Glasgow and Connacht will be playing

:20:54. > :21:08.in a fortnight's time. The clock still running. They are

:21:09. > :21:14.just going to keep this ball for a minute and a half. Stick it up your

:21:15. > :21:23.jumper. Doesn't have to be in any textbook, this. Glasgow need to get

:21:24. > :21:29.them to spill it. It is tiring, it is hard. And it is not pretty, but

:21:30. > :21:34.it is all part of the game. They will quite happily do this for the

:21:35. > :21:41.last minute. We are into the final game, the final minute of the game,

:21:42. > :21:44.I should say. 14-7, a one score game if Glasgow could convert a try. That

:21:45. > :21:52.would send them to Glasgow in a fortnight. They call this 4x4, four

:21:53. > :21:55.players to the right, four players to the left, just zigzagging up the

:21:56. > :22:04.pitch or even backwards, but just keep the ball. 30 seconds or

:22:05. > :22:10.thereabouts for Connacht to secure a match at the semifinal stage.

:22:11. > :22:21.It would be a huge advantage to them. And the referee's whistle goes

:22:22. > :22:24.and Connacht's favour and that, I suspect, may very well be done deal

:22:25. > :22:34.as far as this particular game is concerned. Because by the time the

:22:35. > :22:42.clock has run, I suspect the referee has confirmed it, that has brought

:22:43. > :22:47.the game to a conclusion. Unfortunately Port Glasgow, they

:22:48. > :22:51.have lost this game. The final score at the sports ground in Galloway,

:22:52. > :23:00.14-7. Well, well, well, very interesting,

:23:01. > :23:06.that means that Connacht will be home for the semifinal. We know that

:23:07. > :23:10.Leinster are top, Ulster finishing fourth, so it is Leinster against

:23:11. > :23:14.Ulster in the first semifinal and the second one, Connacht against

:23:15. > :23:18.Glasgow, so in two weeks, Glasgow will be back in Galloway. They were

:23:19. > :23:21.like that. If the conditions are better, not so rainy, they will feel

:23:22. > :23:25.they have a chance but they will feel they have a grievance that with

:23:26. > :23:29.a sending-off. Not a grievance with the sending-off but they will want

:23:30. > :23:34.to go there and keep 15 men on the pitch for the semifinal. So Glasgow

:23:35. > :23:39.can go to Connacht and win. Avoiding Ulster is maybe not a bad thing

:23:40. > :23:43.because they are clearly on fire, 46-26 they have beaten the Ospreys

:23:44. > :23:47.away, and last week they beat Leinster, so it may not be a bad

:23:48. > :23:52.thing. They can go to Connacht and be the first team ever to win a

:23:53. > :23:58.semifinal away from home. Edinburgh have lost, 17-21, so they will not

:23:59. > :24:05.be playing Champions Cup rugby next season. Kangas go get that win in

:24:06. > :24:08.two weeks? -- can Glasgow. They can. I asked them to show character in

:24:09. > :24:13.the second half and they did. The passage of play from the 75th minute

:24:14. > :24:20.to the 77, was pure Glasgow, they almost went from one length of the

:24:21. > :24:27.field to the other to go. Tries coming from Gordon Reid, Bundee Aki

:24:28. > :24:30.and O'Halloran. Glasgow lost this today and will need to be the first

:24:31. > :24:34.team ever to win and away semifinal if they are to retain this protocol

:24:35. > :24:41.title. From Andy and me and all of the team, it has been an interesting

:24:42. > :24:42.edge of the seat stuff. We will do it again in two
