:00:38. > :00:45.In a production that began 126 years ago, Queen's has seen eight leading

:00:46. > :00:57.men claim four titles. Some of the names may not be familiar now, but

:00:58. > :01:01.all were idols in their day. Today, one of those stars, Britain's Andy

:01:02. > :01:06.Murray, has the opportunity to eclipse the others and put his name

:01:07. > :01:11.in lights for a record fifth time. Co-star in this drama is Milos

:01:12. > :01:15.Raonic, his motivation? The chance to become only the second Canadian

:01:16. > :01:19.and the first for nearly 90 years to win here.

:01:20. > :01:24.The sub-plot sees both men coached by two award-winning directors -

:01:25. > :01:31.Raonic by John McEnroe, and Murray by Ivan Lendl. The stage is set, the

:01:32. > :01:36.cast are assembled. Only the plot remains unfinished.

:01:37. > :01:44.So, who will take centre stage? Will it be Milos or can Andy secure top

:01:45. > :01:54.billing above the magnificent seven? That is the big talking point here.

:01:55. > :01:58.There is always a buzz around the grounds on finals day. Those lucky

:01:59. > :02:02.enough to have a Centre Court ticket will enjoy what promises to be a

:02:03. > :02:05.fascinating match-up. Another of the big talking points has been the

:02:06. > :02:11.weather. After six days of rain and cloud, now everyone here is enjoying

:02:12. > :02:17.the sunshine and, of course, the famous Queen's hospitality.

:02:18. > :02:25.As for Murray, what an outstanding achievement it would be to move

:02:26. > :02:28.ahead of McEnroe, Becker, Hewitt and Roddick by winning five titles here.

:02:29. > :02:32.Andy Murray is on the brink of history. So today, one of the

:02:33. > :02:37.greatest returners in the game ever is up against one of the biggest

:02:38. > :02:41.servers. These two had a magnificent five-set thriller at the Australian

:02:42. > :02:44.Open this year. Now they are set to go head-to-head for the Aegon

:02:45. > :02:49.Championships. Looking forward to this. Two top

:02:50. > :02:53.tenners head-to-head. Peter Fleming and John Lloyd are with me. This is

:02:54. > :02:58.a great match-up, a contrast of styles, coaches in the corner, it

:02:59. > :03:04.has got everything? It really is. I think first of all, the question is,

:03:05. > :03:13.can either one of them really put enough returns of serve in play to

:03:14. > :03:17.make this a really riveting match? Milos's serve is, it might be second

:03:18. > :03:21.to none. He is right up there with Isner and Karlovic. As great a

:03:22. > :03:25.returner as Andy is, it will be tough for him. What about the

:03:26. > :03:29.history, the weight of history on Andy's shoulders? He covered it so

:03:30. > :03:33.well at Wimbledon, but he loves the game, he knows the game, and he know

:03:34. > :03:38.what is this would mean to move ahead of the great champions?

:03:39. > :03:41.Exactly. Players love records. Sometimes they play - I always love

:03:42. > :03:46.it when you see these tournaments where there will be someone at

:03:47. > :03:51.Wimbledon, his record will be broken, I hope that person breaks my

:03:52. > :03:53.record. Nonsense! When you get a record, you love a record. Andy

:03:54. > :03:57.Murray would love to break this record. It would be a place in

:03:58. > :04:02.history, someone may never do that again. Why not? When you look at who

:04:03. > :04:09.has achieved it, it's a who's who of tennis. It shows how difficult it

:04:10. > :04:16.is? McEnroe, Becker, Hewitt, Roddick, these are Roy Emmerson,

:04:17. > :04:23.these are huge names in tennis. It's a British event as well. That is a

:04:24. > :04:29.big deal for Andy. So, he's up for this. I think perhaps Raonic even

:04:30. > :04:35.more so because, of course, he's never won a grass court tournament

:04:36. > :04:39.and this is the first week he is playing with John McEnroe and he

:04:40. > :04:43.likes having him around. He's been playing very well. We have got Andy

:04:44. > :04:47.Murray, the defending champion, the number one seed, up against the

:04:48. > :04:55.number three seed, Milos Raonic. Let's take a look at how the two got

:04:56. > :05:00.through to this fascinating final. Andy Murray began the defence of his

:05:01. > :05:08.crown against Nicolas Mahut, who had beaten him here before. Two tough

:05:09. > :05:13.tie-breaks followed, but there was to be no shock this time. Milos

:05:14. > :05:19.Raonic had to come from behind and come back the next day to see off

:05:20. > :05:23.Nick Kyrgios. In Round Two, Murray held court with

:05:24. > :05:28.a fellow Briton for the first time in a decade. However, Aljaz Bedene

:05:29. > :05:35.was dispatched without too much fanfare. Imperial service was the

:05:36. > :05:41.order of the day when Raonic faced lucky loser Jiri Vesely, but the

:05:42. > :05:45.Czech's luck ran out. The quarterfinals saw Murray face

:05:46. > :05:53.his heir-apparent in Kyle Edmund. He put up a real fight but the king of

:05:54. > :06:02.Queen's was in no mood to abdicate just yet. An hour was needed for

:06:03. > :06:07.Raonic to reach the last four, beating Roberto Bautista Agut. The

:06:08. > :06:11.semifinal between Queen's winner Murray and Marin Cilic was a battle

:06:12. > :06:15.royal, worthy of the Grand Slam Champions they are. The Scot came

:06:16. > :06:19.away with the honours. Raonic had not been broken all week and that

:06:20. > :06:23.continued as he lauded it over Australian Bernard Tomic to reach

:06:24. > :06:25.the final. It was a comfortable win for the Canadian, who was served

:06:26. > :06:35.notice that he is ready to rule. Both players have been out

:06:36. > :06:39.practising. Andy, John, going through the ground shots. I'm sure

:06:40. > :06:48.he will be hitting a lot of returns and getting a big serve at him. It

:06:49. > :06:57.seems like a tight and well-oiled machine that team, doesn't it? It's

:06:58. > :07:03.a good combination. Jamie Delgado has proved himself as a coach now.

:07:04. > :07:07.You bring Lendl into it, he is brilliant out there. A great history

:07:08. > :07:13.with Andy? A great history with Andy. It's a good combination. Jamie

:07:14. > :07:17.will learn a lot from Ivan Lendl in this group. It's a tightly knit

:07:18. > :07:22.group. They will do very well together. What about... As far as

:07:23. > :07:27.Lendl goes, he can talk to Andy about the Grand Slams and the big

:07:28. > :07:32.matches, as he did when he worked with him two years ago? Yes, I think

:07:33. > :07:35.that because they have such a rich history together, it will be

:07:36. > :07:40.interesting to see how that progresses, how they can go even

:07:41. > :07:45.further because, of course, they did split up in circumstances where I

:07:46. > :07:54.think one or the other had had enough. So what's changed that makes

:07:55. > :07:57.it now fresh again? But there are very few players that understand

:07:58. > :08:06.tactics and strategy the way Andy Murray does. He is... He is a

:08:07. > :08:11.great... He is an expert at that. So in much the same way Boris brings a

:08:12. > :08:16.bit extra to Djokovic, that is what Ivan is doing. He is saying a word

:08:17. > :08:22.or two here or there that might help settle him, or might give him a

:08:23. > :08:26.different perspective on something. I don't think... The way it might

:08:27. > :08:31.have been five years ago, do that, do this - it is very much a team

:08:32. > :08:35.thing. Andy sits down with his team with Ivan and with Jamie to watch a

:08:36. > :08:40.lot of videos to learn what he needs to do against the players. Let's

:08:41. > :08:45.hear from Jamie. John Inverdale caught up with him.

:08:46. > :08:50.On occasions like this, are you nervous, excited, a combination? It

:08:51. > :08:54.is excitement. The start of a grass-court season on a surface that

:08:55. > :08:59.Andy loves. He's coming in with a lot of form. Are you a very good

:09:00. > :09:06.actor? Watching you at the side of the court, you are not portraying

:09:07. > :09:10.much emotions? You are living every single point. Ups and downs, as Andy

:09:11. > :09:15.is on the court. On the side of the court, it is good for Andy to see a

:09:16. > :09:21.bit of level-headedness, even though you will be living every point. You

:09:22. > :09:25.are thinking about what he is not doing, and I do try and keep a bit

:09:26. > :09:31.of a calmness to the proceedings on the side. Everybody is fascinated by

:09:32. > :09:36.the relationship you have with Ivan. How would you describe it? Is he the

:09:37. > :09:41.boss? What? He's been great since he come in. It was very clear we would

:09:42. > :09:45.discuss things together and what he practices match tactics, match

:09:46. > :09:48.analysis, that sort of stuff, and we have seen the things in the same

:09:49. > :09:53.sort of way as well. It's working really well. In terms of preparing

:09:54. > :09:57.for this match, a huge serve but a player who is getting better on the

:09:58. > :10:00.grass with every year that goes by. How do you approach this tactically?

:10:01. > :10:06.It is a tough one. This is one of the few matches that a lot of what

:10:07. > :10:09.goes on is out of Andy's hands. Milos's serve, he is able to hit all

:10:10. > :10:12.the spots, and he's included that big body serve this year as well.

:10:13. > :10:16.From Andy's point of view, he will have to focus hard on his service

:10:17. > :10:19.games. He will get chances. He is a good returner of the ball and he

:10:20. > :10:23.will look to take charge of the second serve. That will be a huge

:10:24. > :10:28.part of today's match. Has Andy mentioned winning a fifth title? It

:10:29. > :10:31.hasn't been mentioned. He will be fully aware of it. He is trying to

:10:32. > :10:34.focus on the match and the preparation of the match and the

:10:35. > :10:40.tactics of the match. That is all we are trying to get into his head. Has

:10:41. > :10:45.Ivan mentioned John McEnroe? Not in today's match, no. I saw a few

:10:46. > :10:50.quotes from Andy yesterday talking about, it is Murray against Raonic,

:10:51. > :10:53.but McEnroe has been discussed in the week from stories in the past,

:10:54. > :10:59.but not so much today's match. Best of luck. Thank you. I'm sure it has

:11:00. > :11:03.been discussed many times. It is interesting listening to Jamie how

:11:04. > :11:07.it's moved on, watching the videos, the tactics, seeing where they are

:11:08. > :11:10.serving, there is more to it, isn't there? Yes, you have to be

:11:11. > :11:14.meticulous now in your preparation. I was talking to Jamie, he was

:11:15. > :11:19.saying about the stats. The problem is, when you look at stats going

:11:20. > :11:22.into a match from opponents coming up against Murray, they try

:11:23. > :11:25.different things when they play Murray. You can say they might be

:11:26. > :11:28.serving this way or that way. When they come up against Murray, they do

:11:29. > :11:32.things differently because they have to go out of a certain zone. So it

:11:33. > :11:35.is difficult to read that. He was saying about the Australian Open

:11:36. > :11:39.last year, which was a close match, Raonic did serve a lot of body

:11:40. > :11:43.serves which he talked about in that clip there and also against Tomic,

:11:44. > :11:47.the first match he's played this week where the body serve came into

:11:48. > :11:51.play. The rest of it has been ace, ace, ace, four corners, he used the

:11:52. > :11:54.body serve against Tomic, so we will be seeing more of that against

:11:55. > :11:59.Murray. Andy has been asked, how do you read serves? He said, it is

:12:00. > :12:07.instinct. Exactly right. He has a great feel for it. It's a skill, I

:12:08. > :12:13.suppose, but it's probably also just a talent. He sees the ball so well

:12:14. > :12:17.and... Reacts probably quicker than most? Yeah. And has incredible

:12:18. > :12:24.hand-eye co-ordination, better than maybe anybody in the game today. He

:12:25. > :12:28.puts so many returns into play. That is perhaps the most important aspect

:12:29. > :12:41.of this match-up, the second serve, as Jamie said, of Raonic. Andy, as

:12:42. > :12:46.great as he is, is not going to win many points on Raonic's serve. Will

:12:47. > :12:50.Raonic go bigger? Will he hit second serves at 120mph? Will he go bigger

:12:51. > :12:55.with his ground strokes and make a few more errors? That is where the

:12:56. > :13:00.match hinges. It will be fascinating. We have heard from

:13:01. > :13:03.Jamie, let's hear from Andy Murray now.

:13:04. > :13:07.When you wake up on the morning of a final, does it feel different, do

:13:08. > :13:13.you think it is a final, or is it just a game? I think it always feels

:13:14. > :13:17.a bit different. Not so much when I wake up, just when you get into the

:13:18. > :13:25.courts because there is no-one else around in the locker room and no-one

:13:26. > :13:30.else practising and it is quieter, maybe more intense, maybe more of an

:13:31. > :13:36.intense atmosphere in the locker room. I have played a lot of finals

:13:37. > :13:41.throughout my career. I know how to deal with it. When people talk about

:13:42. > :13:45.your game, they think about your return of serve being so fantastic,

:13:46. > :13:49.lovely dinks at the net, but over the last couple of matches here your

:13:50. > :13:54.serve has been a powerhouse. How important is that to you and how

:13:55. > :13:59.much work have you been doing on it? It is very important. It was a shot

:14:00. > :14:04.that worked very well for me on the clay. I was getting a lot of free

:14:05. > :14:09.points on my serve and also the second serve as well. Serving kind

:14:10. > :14:13.of 10 or 15mph faster on the second serve than this time last year. That

:14:14. > :14:19.makes a big difference because you are able to control more of the

:14:20. > :14:22.points that way. It puts more pressure on your opponents and,

:14:23. > :14:29.yeah, I will need to serve well in the final if I want to win. Milos

:14:30. > :14:33.Raonic, that is one big server against another bigger server, what

:14:34. > :14:42.game can we expect? He does have a big serve. One of the best or the

:14:43. > :14:46.biggest serves in the game just now. Obviously, on the grass, it is even

:14:47. > :14:52.harder to return because the speed of the court makes it tougher. I

:14:53. > :14:59.always enjoyed returning big servers, it is not easy. But a

:15:00. > :15:03.strength of mine has been getting the ball back in play on the return

:15:04. > :15:06.game and I will need to do that very well against Milos because he

:15:07. > :15:12.doesn't give you chances otherwise. It could be a big day today? Yes, I

:15:13. > :15:18.mean trying to win here for the fifth time would be a big

:15:19. > :15:24.achievement for me. That was something that motivated me, after a

:15:25. > :15:28.tough loss at the French Open, to come here and hopefully I can play a

:15:29. > :15:37.good match. He could certainly bounce back from

:15:38. > :15:42.the French Open final defeat and this is his journey through the

:15:43. > :15:49.tournament starting in 2005 and winning for the first time in 2009.

:15:50. > :15:55.There is a worrying pattern that he only wins in odd years! But we are

:15:56. > :16:01.hoping that he plays well in this final today. Let's look at him in

:16:02. > :16:10.2005 and we can see how he has changed over the years. This was him

:16:11. > :16:21.against Taylor Dent. It is moving all over the place, here he is. And

:16:22. > :16:27.there is Judy. We are not going to show this bit! He will not thank us

:16:28. > :16:34.for this! This was when he got the cramp against Thomas Johansson. It

:16:35. > :16:39.shows how he has emerged and how he has changed over the years. Look at

:16:40. > :16:48.how thin his legs are as a 17-year-old. He learned from that.

:16:49. > :16:52.I'm not going to do that again, and he is now a giant, so big and

:16:53. > :16:58.strong. You could see he could hardly pick up the trophy! He is now

:16:59. > :17:04.launching it in the air he has done so much in the gym. He comes in as

:17:05. > :17:11.defending champion. You want to play well before a big championship. No

:17:12. > :17:17.question about it. The good news for Andy is that he is playing well and

:17:18. > :17:21.I'm sure he is comfortable with his game and he knows he has another

:17:22. > :17:25.week to go to get into top form but any time you can win a tournament,

:17:26. > :17:31.it helps with your confidence and self belief so he will be motivated,

:17:32. > :17:36.no question. A shot of Alistair McGowan, a big tennis fan. This is a

:17:37. > :17:39.ticket that everybody wants because everybody loves to see Andy Murray

:17:40. > :17:46.playing and he has given us so much over the years will stop this match

:17:47. > :17:50.is not easy. It is not easy. And we are talking about the server which

:17:51. > :17:57.is one of the big things but the other thing he has to be careful of,

:17:58. > :18:02.if you had a backcourt game and you took up the service and you played

:18:03. > :18:09.first to 11, he will win 90 out of 100 against Raonic but if you play

:18:10. > :18:14.someone with weaker ground strokes, one of your thought is to not make

:18:15. > :18:18.mistakes when you get the chance on the baseline because his serve is so

:18:19. > :18:23.big. That is the wrong thing to say, you still have to be aggressive

:18:24. > :18:28.because if you push, Raonic can take over with the forehand. What has

:18:29. > :18:32.been so impressive with Raonic since John McEnroe had helped him is where

:18:33. > :18:37.he is coming into the net from, anywhere near the service box, even

:18:38. > :18:41.three or four feet past, he is coming in. In the past he would

:18:42. > :18:47.hesitate. He has to do that to have a chance of beating Andy Murray. And

:18:48. > :18:52.resort Sebastian Coe there as well. It is interesting, he will not have

:18:53. > :18:59.that many chances, Murray, and he has to take them. Look, it's not as

:19:00. > :19:05.though, when he gets to a tie-break, he folds. He might have to win two

:19:06. > :19:13.Kyle Briggs today and I'm sure he is willing to do that. -- two

:19:14. > :19:16.tie-breaks. Although Raonic's ground strokes have improved immensely that

:19:17. > :19:22.he is still up against it against Murray from the back of the court. I

:19:23. > :19:31.think makes serve will be few and far between. -- breaks of serve.

:19:32. > :19:37.Murray squandered his challenges yesterday and he can't do that

:19:38. > :19:41.again. He is looking very relaxed. Normally you are protected away from

:19:42. > :19:47.people but he is signing a few autographs and getting ready. He has

:19:48. > :19:54.not had his serve broken this week but I believe Murray will break it

:19:55. > :20:03.at least once, a bold addiction! Or we will have quite a few tie-breaks.

:20:04. > :20:07.-- a bold prediction. And he might have to take chances on the second

:20:08. > :20:12.serve, not to give Murray anything to hit and I am sure John McEnroe

:20:13. > :20:16.has been giving him plenty of advice and still encouraging him to come

:20:17. > :20:23.forward because he believes he can win Wimbledon and do well on this

:20:24. > :20:29.surface. He was a semifinalist last year so he has proved himself all

:20:30. > :20:35.stop on grass his game should work superbly. He has all of the assets.

:20:36. > :20:39.When he gets to that aggressive mode and take chances, he will take care

:20:40. > :20:43.of business on his side of the court, he has to be aggressive when

:20:44. > :20:51.he gets a chance and I think he has the attack the Andy Murray serve.

:20:52. > :20:58.Cameron Austin, aged ten, has been a patient at the Royal Marsden said he

:20:59. > :21:02.was two under half the completed treatment and is delighted to be hit

:21:03. > :21:11.with all his family who love tennis Ulster would you please welcome,

:21:12. > :21:27.accompanied by the mascot, Cameron, Milos Raonic! APPLAUSE

:21:28. > :21:35.Lewis, aged seven, is a huge fan of tennis, he was a mascot for the

:21:36. > :21:41.Aegon Championships last year whilst still undergoing treatment at the

:21:42. > :21:46.Royal Marsden. He is now back to full health and more enthusiastic

:21:47. > :21:47.for tennis than ever. Accompanied by mascot Lewis, please welcome Andy

:21:48. > :22:14.Murray! APPLAUSE That was wonderful to see them

:22:15. > :22:18.coming on with the young boys representing the Royal Marsden,

:22:19. > :22:25.which Andy has been a big supporter of over the years. It is such a big

:22:26. > :22:30.moment for them. It is so wonderful and I love the introduction, and the

:22:31. > :22:37.got second-class! It was good the way they did that. It was special.

:22:38. > :22:43.We almost ready now, Peter. Everybody is taking their seat. We

:22:44. > :22:47.have not had many finals between two players in the top ten and two who

:22:48. > :22:52.have done so well at Wimbledon. These are people who will be going

:22:53. > :22:59.deep into the tournament. That is the hope and one aspect we have not

:23:00. > :23:03.talked about is Raonic's nerve. He has lost a few big matches in the

:23:04. > :23:08.past when he appeared a little unsettled and was not sure about how

:23:09. > :23:14.he wanted to play and appeared to not be at his best. This week,

:23:15. > :23:20.having started with John McEnroe, I know his camp would say that the

:23:21. > :23:22.first-round match against Kyrgios, that was really important because

:23:23. > :23:28.they did not want to start off with a loss, that relationship on a

:23:29. > :23:39.downer. I am sure that may loss would love to top this week off with

:23:40. > :23:45.a win -- may loss -- Milos Raonic. Big guys on the grass court don't

:23:46. > :23:56.move as well and I suppose that is a part of his game, Milos. That is his

:23:57. > :24:00.weakest part of the game. When he is defending on the baseline, he

:24:01. > :24:03.lumbers over and does not get their too well and even though he beat

:24:04. > :24:08.Tomic comfortably, there were a few occasions when he had to hit half

:24:09. > :24:14.volleys and move quickly and he didn't and got caught out. Andy

:24:15. > :24:18.Murray is the master of those sort of low angles and dipping bowls and

:24:19. > :24:22.that is something he has to work on with John McEnroe. It is obviously

:24:23. > :24:26.not easy to change that but to get that bit quicker and defend a bit

:24:27. > :24:31.better and cover the net a bit better will be his main aims. I was

:24:32. > :24:38.looking at the head-to-head between Lendl and McEnroe, it is 19 to Lendl

:24:39. > :24:43.and 14 to McEnroe. I wondered who would get that box, they have all

:24:44. > :24:48.been sitting in that one, a bit of superstition! But John has had to

:24:49. > :24:53.move down the other end so Lendl has won that battle. We talk about the

:24:54. > :24:58.movement, coming forward is what McEnroe has been brought in four and

:24:59. > :25:04.he has done it well so far. That is part of why he has been brought in.

:25:05. > :25:10.Specifically just prior to the grass court season. And I think John

:25:11. > :25:15.thinks that his greatest contribution might be between the

:25:16. > :25:18.ears, in the way that Milos approaches grass court matches and

:25:19. > :25:25.uses different tactics at certain times. John is absolutely right that

:25:26. > :25:32.Milos does not like to defend, perhaps not as agile as some of the

:25:33. > :25:38.great players and two or three years ago, there might have been a

:25:39. > :25:43.question whether Andy would have exploited that very well. You need

:25:44. > :25:51.to attack someone who does not move well to really show his

:25:52. > :25:55.vulnerability. A few years ago and he might have just played the ball

:25:56. > :26:03.back and not hurt him but now he is a lot more aggressive. We can hear

:26:04. > :26:06.from Milos now. You are a professional tennis players that it

:26:07. > :26:12.is your job but when you wake up on the morning of a pilot, I energised

:26:13. > :26:20.and excited as with other days? -- of a final. Yes, because that is

:26:21. > :26:26.verbatim even if you are a king and you have played a lot of tennis, you

:26:27. > :26:34.have to leave it all out there. -- that is the feeling. You are a bit

:26:35. > :26:40.more eager and forgiving to yourself to put it all out there. And given

:26:41. > :26:44.that you are playing Andy Murray and a British crowd tomorrow at Queen's

:26:45. > :26:50.Club, does it add a bit of extra something? For sure, it presents

:26:51. > :26:55.something but it is about dealing with myself first and then dealing

:26:56. > :27:00.with Andy. The rest is out of my control and I have to put my best

:27:01. > :27:04.tennis forward and find a way to win. We were talking to Andy about

:27:05. > :27:08.his serve which he said he has done a lot of work on and now his

:27:09. > :27:14.percentages are much better. Yours are extraordinary on your serve.

:27:15. > :27:19.Could tomorrow almost be won and lost on the return of serve as a

:27:20. > :27:24.consequence? I will try to get as many looks as I can on his and I am

:27:25. > :27:27.sure he will be there trying to make me feel as uncomfortable as possible

:27:28. > :27:33.on mind and making the play as much as possible. The server will be very

:27:34. > :27:40.important, but the serve and return as always, the start of the points

:27:41. > :27:45.tend to be the most important and it will be on who can get ahead in

:27:46. > :27:49.those situations. I have to ask, everybody is asking you, you are

:27:50. > :27:53.almost tired of it already but having McEnroe in your corner, how

:27:54. > :27:57.much of a difference as it made? It has been a very positive influence,

:27:58. > :28:02.he has really helped me out and brought some different things to

:28:03. > :28:06.light and we have worked on things. I have been quite good at

:28:07. > :28:11.implementing them and I think more successfully through each match so

:28:12. > :28:15.it is about putting it to good use. And when you implement them, does he

:28:16. > :28:20.say well done or you could have done better? He is very positive with his

:28:21. > :28:24.feedback, people don't expect that but he is very positive when it

:28:25. > :28:25.comes to that but he will also find something he thinks you can continue

:28:26. > :28:38.to do better. I was watching his matches and

:28:39. > :28:42.seeing where he was attacking from, that kind of shot, maybe in the past

:28:43. > :28:47.he would have stayed back but he comes back and finishes it out and a

:28:48. > :28:52.lot of times on the backhand slice he has approached compositions you

:28:53. > :28:57.would not have seen him doing. This one, from that position, that is a

:28:58. > :29:02.heck of an approach. Will he get away with it against Murray? He has

:29:03. > :29:08.to try it. If he is too predictable he has no chance against Murray. He

:29:09. > :29:13.covered the open court where that ball was likely to go so I think we

:29:14. > :29:18.can see that different from McEnroe. He is stepping forward a lot more. I

:29:19. > :29:23.love these approaches, if you are going to approach that deep, you

:29:24. > :29:28.have to hit a very good passing shot. And somebody so used to

:29:29. > :29:34.playing from the back of the court, to be balanced and ready with the

:29:35. > :29:38.split step. Exactly right and the more he hit approaches, the better

:29:39. > :29:43.he will get at timing his split step. The first match against

:29:44. > :29:54.Kyrgios, he mistimed a few of those and against Tomic he was getting

:29:55. > :30:00.better. Some positive movement for Raonic. And as far as Andy Murray is

:30:01. > :30:06.concerned, he has got to serve well because he had to hold his serve

:30:07. > :30:10.because he will not get many chances against Milos. Absolutely right, we

:30:11. > :30:14.have been talking about the Raonic served and how Murray can break but

:30:15. > :30:18.he has to take care of business on his side. Sometimes you can lose

:30:19. > :30:21.concentration on that and he cannot do that because one break of serve

:30:22. > :30:25.down against Raonic can sometimes mean the end of the set.

:30:26. > :30:33.These aren't easy matches? They are very unsettling matches. Murray will

:30:34. > :30:39.play a match in a style that he doesn't like to play. So how he

:30:40. > :30:43.reacts to that will be important. Does he implode and give a game or

:30:44. > :30:47.two away against Raonic? Certainly doesn't want to do that. I don't see

:30:48. > :30:53.that happening. But it has happened in the past. He needs to stay cool,

:30:54. > :30:58.focus on his serve and then, as John said, hopefully get a bonus and

:30:59. > :31:08.break. Murray leads the head-to-head by three. Raonic won three of their

:31:09. > :31:15.first four meetings. Murray has won the last three. John is on his way

:31:16. > :31:21.to join Andrew Castle. Good afternoon, Andy.

:31:22. > :31:30.ANDREW CASTLE: Thank you, Sue. And we setting in for a

:31:31. > :31:37.best-of-three-set final. The drive for five, as Sue has been saying,

:31:38. > :31:39.something that Lendl never managed. Murray going for title number five

:31:40. > :32:22.at Queen's Club. And serving first. 12-shot rally to open u. -- up. They

:32:23. > :33:18.won't be all as long as that, especially on the Raonic serve.

:33:19. > :33:54.JOHN LLOYD: There's been a big improvement on that backhand slice,

:33:55. > :34:00.also where he is coming in from as well. A lot more bite on that ball,

:34:01. > :34:36.fading away. It was a beautiful approach shot.

:34:37. > :34:44.ANDREW CASTLE: They haven't left anything in the locker room in any

:34:45. > :34:51.sense here. Driving the ball, Raonic playing his cards pretty early here.

:34:52. > :34:55.He's been to the net when he could. He covered the Murray cross-court

:34:56. > :35:17.pass off the forehand side, with his wingspan. He's done his homework.

:35:18. > :35:24.I can't tell what he is muttering about.

:35:25. > :35:32.JOHN LLOYD: He is in feisty mood already. The first three serves went

:35:33. > :35:36.in and he went 40-0 up. Now he's missed three first serves and it's

:35:37. > :36:05.deuce. Doesn't like his service rhythm? I don't know.

:36:06. > :36:18.UMPIRE: Game, Murray. An intense start from both players.

:36:19. > :36:23.As we were saying, Milos Raonic hasn't lost his serve this week. He

:36:24. > :36:28.has had seven break-points against them. He's saved them all. He's won

:36:29. > :36:33.47 service games in a row, which is remarkable. This is where he serves

:36:34. > :36:36.when he is break-point down. Out wide on the left, the break-points

:36:37. > :36:40.tend to fall on the left-hand side, so he's gone out wide. Only one on

:36:41. > :36:44.the line into the body on the left. On the right, again body. Just goes

:36:45. > :36:50.for big power on the break-points. This may or may not be relevant.

:36:51. > :36:56.When you are playing against the big players, you change things up. It is

:36:57. > :37:22.the sort of thing coaches will have a quick peek at.

:37:23. > :37:29.Have a listen to this serve. If one comes out of the middle. Have a

:37:30. > :37:37.quick listen to this. We will try and crank the volume up a bit here.

:37:38. > :37:46.That is frightening. That is quite something, isn't it? It's the same

:37:47. > :37:50.sort of crack off the strings that Tiger Woods used to get off the

:37:51. > :37:53.metal woods when he was back in the trees and in his pomp. Yeah. Have

:37:54. > :38:16.another listen. Could chop a tree down with that

:38:17. > :38:23.service motion, couldn't you? It is such a powerful thing.

:38:24. > :38:45.Look at the knee bend on this one. Just launches himself up there. It

:38:46. > :38:48.is a very nice... It is not as rhythmical as an Isner serve. It

:38:49. > :38:55.looks a bit strange at the beginning. The end result is, that

:38:56. > :38:57.snap that he has on there, the wrist motion is amazing. Knee bend as

:38:58. > :39:50.well. Fergus Murphy, the Irishman in the

:39:51. > :40:22.chair. It wasn't a great volley, John, the

:40:23. > :40:31.last one. After this forehand, which did the damage, the point should

:40:32. > :40:35.have been over. That was rank - admittedly it is a dramatic sight to

:40:36. > :40:37.see Murray go over there and keep in the point. It was Raonic's fault,

:40:38. > :41:21.really. Yeah. That looked way out.

:41:22. > :41:31.UMPIRE: Game, Murray. No challenge.

:41:32. > :41:37.The ball was out, but he didn't challenge that one. When you are

:41:38. > :41:42.that far down in the game, sometimes it feels like, let's get on with it.

:41:43. > :41:49.Exactly. If this had been 30-40, he would have queried this one. 40-0

:41:50. > :41:52.down, it was well out. Andy Murray versus Milos Raonic, number one seed

:41:53. > :41:57.versus number three seed, after Stanislas Wawrinka went out in the

:41:58. > :42:02.first round. This was the final that was likely. It's looked on the cards

:42:03. > :42:06.all week, this one. Raonic lost the one set to Nick Kyrgios after a

:42:07. > :42:12.rain-delayed start. They have done well to get this final on. They have

:42:13. > :42:17.had enough breaks in the weather over the first two or three days,

:42:18. > :42:22.but it's not been bad after that. Andy Murray, world number two, first

:42:23. > :42:28.achieved in 2009 now, after his first Wimbledon semifinal. Remember

:42:29. > :42:37.the loss to Andy Roddick? Kevin Spacey there... Was that him? He is

:42:38. > :42:42.a big tennis fan. You come into a draw like this and you don't like -

:42:43. > :42:46.there is Kevin Spacey, looking ready for this big match. He is a big

:42:47. > :42:52.tennis fan. Not sure if he plays. He loves coming to watch the matches.

:42:53. > :42:58.Lord Coe up there as well. It has been a busy time for him. Yes. With

:42:59. > :43:04.the Olympics commencing on Friday August 5th. It remains to be seen

:43:05. > :43:14.whether the Russians will be there or not. Yes. I know we will be minus

:43:15. > :43:32.one Russian at Wimbledon, Maria Sharapova.

:43:33. > :43:39.That is such a lovely feeling, when you are playing against a big server

:43:40. > :43:47.- now you know, as a returner, that if you win one of the next two

:43:48. > :44:04.points you are 15-30. Building to the break of serve.

:44:05. > :44:14.What a point! I could not see any way Murray could lose this point,

:44:15. > :44:21.from this forehand. I thought that point was over. What a forehand this

:44:22. > :44:26.is. That was do or die, he had to hit a winner from there. He was gone

:44:27. > :44:40.on the next shot. 85mph, about to go down 0-30, that was big.

:44:41. > :44:44.With that one forehand swipe down the line, the whole complexion of

:44:45. > :45:33.the game changed. Too good. That is a tough ball. I

:45:34. > :45:39.actually thought, when he came in, Raonic had come in from too far and

:45:40. > :45:44.it was not a great first passing shot from Murray but Raonic did not

:45:45. > :45:49.do enough. You give Murray two chances to pass you, it's going to

:45:50. > :46:08.happen. You have to put it away or hit something very deep.

:46:09. > :46:22.That is that of the serve. -- body serve. He used it a lot in the

:46:23. > :46:33.Australian Open and it is a tactic we will see a lot today.

:46:34. > :46:47.APPLAUSE Raonic with the hang time and from

:46:48. > :46:54.zero have to -- 0- 15, a good hold. John is saying, not in a million

:46:55. > :47:00.years would I have tried this! No! And for Murray, not a bad game for

:47:01. > :47:03.him, at least he was in the service game for the first time, he got to

:47:04. > :47:47.30-30 and made a lot of returns. APPLAUSE

:47:48. > :47:53.The magician. Isn't it interesting to see what Raonic is taking out on

:47:54. > :48:00.court? He is taking McEnroe's tactics on court. I know it's

:48:01. > :48:09.obvious but it's fun because Mac was such an intelligent player. I think

:48:10. > :48:13.McEnroe, in his mind, sitting at courtside, even though he lost that

:48:14. > :48:18.point, he would have said, do that another ten times, keep doing that,

:48:19. > :48:20.you will win more than you will lose. He has to keep putting that

:48:21. > :48:44.kind of pressure on him. He is such a gentle giant, Milos

:48:45. > :48:48.Raonic, so softly spoken. 25 years of age, originally from Montenegro,

:48:49. > :48:53.he came to Canada when he was just three years of age, his mum and dad

:48:54. > :49:00.took up positions as engineers and saw their future out of Montenegro

:49:01. > :49:04.which is an area with so much political conflict and strife. What

:49:05. > :49:12.a decision as far as their boy's future. 2011 newcomer of the year on

:49:13. > :49:16.tour, that was when he won San Jose, the same tournament five years

:49:17. > :49:21.previously that Murray had opened his tournament winning account with.

:49:22. > :49:24.It is a great position to take on an inspirational character like McEnroe

:49:25. > :49:30.and for John himself it has to be great. He is looking at his natural

:49:31. > :49:35.resources and thinking, I can add to that, and this guy can win

:49:36. > :49:40.Wimbledon. I agree, a good decision for both. Johnny Mac has been

:49:41. > :49:43.waiting for an opportunity in some ways, there were rumours about

:49:44. > :49:48.Kyrgios and perhaps Murray, we don't know how close either of those ever

:49:49. > :49:53.were. But I think McEnroe is feeling that he can help out a lot with

:49:54. > :50:00.certain players and Raonic is one of them. Milos was telling me that he

:50:01. > :50:07.can't keep Mac of the fact is caught! He did 80 hours in the first

:50:08. > :51:10.few days! -- off the practice court. This was Pete Sampras's Forte. He

:51:11. > :52:12.loved doing that, Sampras. Highest temperatures we have had all

:52:13. > :52:20.week, 21, 20 two Celsius. 7000 people in the house, mainly in that

:52:21. > :52:25.stand, publicly available tickets, 700 available to the private members

:52:26. > :52:31.club. That stand will be coming down next week. It looks like a pretty

:52:32. > :52:36.normal court afterwards, it looks quite little. It doesn't look little

:52:37. > :52:54.now, it looks pact and colourful and wonderful.

:52:55. > :53:05.APPLAUSE Come off it! What a fantastic point

:53:06. > :53:13.from both players. Lovely forehand from Raonic but you hit an angle and

:53:14. > :53:16.you create an angle but you still have to hit a shot like that to win

:53:17. > :54:01.the point and that was a ridiculous forehand.

:54:02. > :54:08.He had a chance to come in on that backhand which he has been coming in

:54:09. > :54:16.on from that area of the court that he elected to stay back, Raonic.

:54:17. > :54:36.John, neither player has lost a point on first serve, no break

:54:37. > :54:40.points so far and yet, not necessarily entirely serve

:54:41. > :54:45.dominated, a lot of good tennis which is good after the semifinal

:54:46. > :54:50.with Raonic and Tomic being a bit of a disappointment. Murray against

:54:51. > :54:55.Cilic was better but this is keenly fought. You will not get long

:54:56. > :55:00.rallies with Raonic but this is quality, both players at their best

:55:01. > :55:04.right from the beginning. Short games but seven games of high-class

:55:05. > :55:16.tennis from two of the best grass court players in the world and it is

:55:17. > :55:26.fascinating. Great to see Kim here. And baby Sophia is here also she is

:55:27. > :55:35.so beautiful it is ridiculous! Four months old and being looked after.

:55:36. > :55:48.Took after the mum! Exactly! Happy father's date, and the! -- happy

:55:49. > :55:57.Father's Day, Andy. Apparently she sleeps great. Again, mum. I said,

:55:58. > :56:05.don't think that is going to last for ever! May be the second will be

:56:06. > :56:12.a horror! A horror! Nicely described! Here we go, new tennis

:56:13. > :56:34.balls, as if Raonic needs help on his delivery.

:56:35. > :57:42.APPLAUSE Battle is joined in this game. That

:57:43. > :57:47.was that change up serve that Raonic hits very well, the kicker, but you

:57:48. > :57:51.have to hit it extremely well because Murray handled it perhaps

:57:52. > :57:59.better than anybody else apart from Novak Djokovic. Key moment. A little

:58:00. > :58:11.less than half an hour played. It didn't last long. That is just

:58:12. > :58:14.fantastic serving, 133. It is where you have to just not get frustrated,

:58:15. > :58:18.easy to say that when you are not on the court but when you can't touch

:58:19. > :58:23.it, you have to accept it is going to happen and one chance you may

:58:24. > :58:24.have, you might only get one chance in the set and you have to take it

:58:25. > :59:17.against Raonic. 36 career titles for Andy Murray

:59:18. > :59:22.over the years, his most recent in Rome, the Italian Open. It's not

:59:23. > :59:29.called that any more but it's always been the Italian Open in my mind. He

:59:30. > :59:33.didn't drop a set. And then the French Open final, a spectacular

:59:34. > :59:38.clay-court season. He lost three matches and won 18. He only lost two

:59:39. > :00:45.Djokovic twice and Nadal once. Highly strung today. He hates losing

:00:46. > :00:50.baseline rallies. He hates that. That was - he felt he was in control

:00:51. > :00:57.of that rally up until that backhand, running Raonic around.

:00:58. > :01:18.He will use that backhand quite a bit today.

:01:19. > :01:27.Nicely handled from Raonic. He's come out with real clarity, he is

:01:28. > :01:30.playing with purpose, and now it is his turn to get 15-30, still yet to

:01:31. > :02:02.see a break-point. That was there for the taking. That

:02:03. > :02:05.was an opportunity there. Mac knows that, 15-30, that wasn't a

:02:06. > :03:04.particularly good approach shot. He had so many options there.

:03:05. > :03:24.There is no question, Murray wants this very, very badly. Why not?

:03:25. > :03:29.Going for five, nobody has ever done it before. Playing in front of

:03:30. > :03:32.everybody. Staying at home with everybody, it is different than

:03:33. > :03:35.being on the road as well. He wants to get this job done. He has played

:03:36. > :03:40.a great tournament. I get the feeling that until he breaks

:03:41. > :03:44.through, he be a bit wound up today. He knows the challenge up against

:03:45. > :03:48.him. He is very wary of it. Raonic on his day, on this surface,

:03:49. > :03:52.sometimes it is not in your hands, that is the problem. What wants to

:03:53. > :03:56.be in that position. When you are serving against somebody who has the

:03:57. > :03:59.sort of delivery that Raonic has, the pressure is on you even more to

:04:00. > :04:04.hold because you know the break is going to come, it is a blue moon to

:04:05. > :04:10.break serve. I think the benefits we are seeing with the quality of this

:04:11. > :04:14.match, it almost stems from the first rounds that they both had.

:04:15. > :04:20.They both came into the draw and they would not have been happy with

:04:21. > :04:22.their first round draws, Murray against Mahut, Raonic against

:04:23. > :04:39.Kyrgios, and there was no playing themselves

:04:40. > :04:43.in in those two first rounds, they had to come out of the starting gate

:04:44. > :04:44.fast, that is what they have done, and they have continued with that

:04:45. > :06:17.form. Justin Bieber once Instagrammed her

:06:18. > :06:42.and she became even more famous than she was before!

:06:43. > :06:48.Murray doing his job very well there, not giving Raonic a ball that

:06:49. > :06:52.was short enough for him to come in, keep pushing him back, force him to

:06:53. > :06:53.go for a big forehand from way back deep into the court, that is what he

:06:54. > :07:06.wants to do. So easy to get frustrated playing

:07:07. > :07:46.against him. 5-5.

:07:47. > :08:13.Good pick-up. He is moving better at the net,

:08:14. > :08:16.Raonic, this week. He is moving better in this match than he has

:08:17. > :08:55.done throughout the course of his other ones here.

:08:56. > :09:03.Ricardo Piatti is with John McEnroe on this training unit. He is superb

:09:04. > :09:09.technically. Never says boo to a goose, but he's been up on his feet

:09:10. > :09:29.there saying, "Come on, Milos, right here!" That is interesting.

:09:30. > :09:36.That was a beautiful rally there from Andy Murray.

:09:37. > :09:43.The first three ground strokes there from Raonic were so deep and Murray

:09:44. > :09:45.just, again, kept his depth and then, eventually, forced the error.

:09:46. > :10:28.Ricardo Piatti on the left. It looked like he got to this with

:10:29. > :10:33.enough time. He didn't have the feel. It was a stretch. But he only,

:10:34. > :10:35.if he had got that anywhere over the net, it was a winner. Murray was way

:10:36. > :10:55.off court. He should have made that. That is a rare error from Murray. At

:10:56. > :11:00.this stage of the set. This is when normally he is rock solid and that

:11:01. > :12:02.one... So Wimbledon starting a week

:12:03. > :12:06.tomorrow. Eastbourne next week for the women's tennis, and after

:12:07. > :12:11.Wimbledon this year, you can enjoy Great Britain versus Serbia in the

:12:12. > :12:14.Davis Cup. That could be Murray versus Novak Djokovic, of course.

:12:15. > :12:20.That is a quarterfinal this year. Murray playing his part already in

:12:21. > :12:26.the 2016 campaign. They beat Japan, did GB, under the captaincy of Leon

:12:27. > :12:37.Smith. Played a tough old match against Kei Nishikori, unbeaten in

:12:38. > :12:42.singles last year. 8-0. Andy Murray. To matters in hand, an excellent 40

:12:43. > :12:47.minutes of play. Both players have a lot to be pleased with at this

:12:48. > :12:54.point. It's a quality match. You are not going to get that many long

:12:55. > :12:57.rallies, that is not the way it is going to happen with Raonic on

:12:58. > :13:01.court. It is a match of quality. Very few errors at all. It is just

:13:02. > :13:06.quality. Depth. Big serving. Quick movements. Good passing shots. I

:13:07. > :13:10.think it's an excellent first set. Looks like we will be in a

:13:11. > :13:14.tie-breaker, surprise surprise. Not there yet. That happens when you

:13:15. > :13:20.play Raonic. UMPIRE: Time.

:13:21. > :13:21.You have to be sharp if you get into a tie-breaker, it could come down to

:13:22. > :13:35.one point. The President of the Lawn Tennis

:13:36. > :13:40.Association, a tennis fan. Doing a lot of good things with the LTA.

:13:41. > :14:13.They do need a new performance director, though.

:14:14. > :14:17.I don't know why he didn't hit a forehand on that shot, to be honest.

:14:18. > :16:00.He had plenty of time. UMPIRE: 6-6. Tie-break. Both players

:16:01. > :16:07.have received one additional challenge. They have played four

:16:08. > :16:13.tie-breaks before with Raonic winning three of them including one

:16:14. > :16:19.at the Australian Open this year. Big servers like tie-breaks but

:16:20. > :16:31.big-time players do as well and Murray is certainly one of them.

:16:32. > :16:44.APPLAUSE Beautifully done. Good anticipation

:16:45. > :16:50.from Raonic. And he is covering the crosscourt forehand. That is what I

:16:51. > :16:55.meant, he came in and he moved slightly early and that was the

:16:56. > :16:57.percentage where Murray tends to go, on that crosscourt forehand. A very

:16:58. > :17:19.good first point. Another excellent point. That was

:17:20. > :17:25.awkward and look how he got his racket out in front and created the

:17:26. > :17:31.angle with the oft forehand volley. It looked for a moment like he might

:17:32. > :17:40.hit a backhand but he changed -- off forehand.

:17:41. > :18:20.What a start this is. Three perfect points played by Raonic.

:18:21. > :19:01.APPLAUSE That is a good recovery with two

:19:02. > :19:06.good points in a row. At this stage against Raonic, it Murray had lost

:19:07. > :19:11.one of those serves, going down double break point, you almost feel

:19:12. > :19:13.there is no way back but he has kept himself in it with two excellent

:19:14. > :19:46.points. I'm not sure what he did wrong. He

:19:47. > :19:51.did well to get his racket on the ball in the first place and perhaps

:19:52. > :19:53.he anticipated he was going down the line with the forehand but there

:19:54. > :20:09.wasn't much he could do about it. So animated, he is pacing around the

:20:10. > :20:17.place, Raonic. He can't wait to play. Much more expressive this

:20:18. > :20:51.week, in interviews as well as on court. It is quite a prospect.

:20:52. > :21:00.For it to go that high up in the air, Murray would have thought that

:21:01. > :21:05.was going over. Once again, still only down a mini-break but it is a

:21:06. > :21:09.big gap, three points and the first thing to do is win the first of your

:21:10. > :22:07.two. One step at a time. APPLAUSE

:22:08. > :22:12.Superb! What a quality rally from both players.

:22:13. > :22:20.Lovely chip from Raonic, the half-volley and he finishes it off,

:22:21. > :22:47.that was superb, what a pick-up. Mr Raonic is challenging the call. I

:22:48. > :22:52.am amazed he has done that. Change up with a big kick when he has been

:22:53. > :23:15.having success on the first serve. He is nervous and understandably.

:23:16. > :23:50.Mr Raonic has three challenges remaining.

:23:51. > :24:01.APPLAUSE What other serve -- what

:24:02. > :24:12.-- what a serve that was. This was not easy, quite deep in the court

:24:13. > :24:19.and coming at him quite flat. He kept his eye on the ball very well.

:24:20. > :24:36.Murray's three straight points snapped and it is a set point.

:24:37. > :24:45.And that's it! Raonic finishes it off with a forehand pass. McEnroe's

:24:46. > :24:52.man has one said lead and we have an excellent match on our hands here.

:24:53. > :24:56.-- one set lead. Disappointment for Murray, letting some of that

:24:57. > :25:04.frustration out. The drive for five is still on but some distance to

:25:05. > :25:09.run. SUE BARKER: I have been watching alongside Peter Fleming,

:25:10. > :25:13.such quality in the tie-break. It was fantastic and if ever there was

:25:14. > :25:17.an illustration of what John McEnroe is trying to get Raonic to do it was

:25:18. > :25:22.in the first few points of the tie-break with Raonic coming forward

:25:23. > :25:28.persistently and hitting some fine volleys. He got tentative on one at

:25:29. > :25:33.5-4 when he hit eight seconds and stayed back but all in all, I would

:25:34. > :25:40.say that man has to be thrilled. -- hit a second serve. And no break

:25:41. > :25:48.points at all in that, he is serving so well, Raonic, not giving Murray a

:25:49. > :25:53.chance. He missed quite an easy passing shot at 15-30 in one game

:25:54. > :25:58.when he might have had a couple break points but other than that, no

:25:59. > :26:04.joy at all. But he is certainly not out of it, there is a long way to go

:26:05. > :26:07.but with Raonic winning the first set, his confidence has the have

:26:08. > :26:12.grown and he must be feeling good about himself. What can Murray do?

:26:13. > :26:17.He has do hang in there and wait for one of those chances when he misses

:26:18. > :26:21.a couple of serves? I think so, players always come down a little

:26:22. > :26:26.bit after a set and a half, the serving power or accuracy will weigh

:26:27. > :26:33.in at some point. He has to make sure that he takes advantage at any

:26:34. > :26:40.opportunities -- the accuracy will wane. But Raonic has not lost his

:26:41. > :26:44.serve all week so he might not get many chances. And he is serving so

:26:45. > :26:48.well in this match but Murray is such a great match player and

:26:49. > :26:53.competitor, you would feel he will up it somehow. We shall see! We will

:26:54. > :27:07.be watching. ANDREW CASTLE: Raonic to open up in

:27:08. > :27:12.the second set and out first again, prowling the baseline, Murray

:27:13. > :27:20.muttering, unhappy, tetchy. If he does break through, he is ready to

:27:21. > :27:29.explode. But from the word go he has looked highly strung, tightly wound.

:27:30. > :27:39.JOHN LLOYD: He was saying good advice about something. He was

:27:40. > :27:43.saying it in that way which means he does not mean it at all. It was

:27:44. > :27:47.sarcastic, he is venting and looking at his bench to say, you messed that

:27:48. > :28:02.up, not me! It is just the way he goes around

:28:03. > :28:09.things, it is just what he does. In some matches, this is what he does.

:28:10. > :28:35.And yet he wins a whole load of them. He certainly does.

:28:36. > :28:45.The trouble is, I think it has effected him for the last two or

:28:46. > :28:50.three points. It will not make him lose the match but it has carried

:28:51. > :28:58.through. When Djokovic vents a bit, the next point he is right back to

:28:59. > :29:01.business again. I think that game, he almost threw it away because he

:29:02. > :29:07.was still annoyed at himself for losing the first. It doesn't mean he

:29:08. > :29:11.can't win this match but if it was against Djokovic, as an example, you

:29:12. > :29:19.cannot afford to give up point away let alone a game. That is the point.

:29:20. > :29:25.And people say, you are not supporting Murray, you're having a

:29:26. > :29:30.go at him. No, all I'm saying is, is that the difference between Djokovic

:29:31. > :29:34.and Murray? Is it the mental side? He is a great player and he wins a

:29:35. > :29:39.lot of matches but where is that difference between him and Djokovic?

:29:40. > :29:41.Two years ago he beat him a couple of times in finals but he hasn't

:29:42. > :30:06.done since in the majors. This is a dangerous moment now. Yes.

:30:07. > :30:10.He has one player who is unbelievably charged up and the

:30:11. > :31:18.other is mentally a bit flat. Seven straight points to Raonic.

:31:19. > :31:26.It's this sort of point, where you look at it, no-one talks much about

:31:27. > :31:30.Raonic's ground strokes. That was a well-rounded point there. He hit

:31:31. > :31:33.seven or eight shots there and ran Murray all round the place and

:31:34. > :31:36.finished it off with that beautiful forehand to create the easy volley.

:31:37. > :32:03.He is playing extremely well. This is excellent tennis right now

:32:04. > :32:08.from the Canadian. Sometimes you have to say too good at the moment.

:32:09. > :32:12.If he can keep this up, he is right in the zone as they say now, where

:32:13. > :32:19.that ball looks like a football to him and he can't miss. Murray has to

:32:20. > :32:29.dig in and somehow hold this serve. UMPIRE: Time violation, warning Mr

:32:30. > :32:34.Murray. Really? He stepped to the line and he is ready to serve.

:32:35. > :32:41.Pointless. That's the rules, I suppose.

:32:42. > :32:52.And it's the first break of serve. You can't say he's not good for it.

:32:53. > :32:59.First break-points and he's taken them and it's a bit of a flat time

:33:00. > :33:03.for Murray. That time call was a silly time. I love fast play, I

:33:04. > :33:09.don't like it when players go over. If a match is going at a good pace

:33:10. > :33:13.and someone goes over it once or twice, don't bother with it. Only if

:33:14. > :33:20.it gets consistent, for me. That was a bad time for that call. Just get

:33:21. > :34:03.on with it. Whatever. UMPIRE: Mr Raonic challenging the

:34:04. > :34:10.call on the left service line, the ball was called out.

:34:11. > :34:45.It was good. UMPIRE: First serve.

:34:46. > :35:19.This is an awesome performance so far. Can he keep this up? Well, at

:35:20. > :35:23.the moment, he's brilliant. He hasn't missed a first serve in this

:35:24. > :35:31.set because they played a let the only time that he did miss that

:35:32. > :35:34.first serve, so that doesn't count. Fantastic play from Raonic, who has

:35:35. > :35:38.backed up the break of serve with a hold. 3-0.

:35:39. > :35:45.UMPIRE: New balls, please. He has taken out his game plan. He

:35:46. > :35:49.looks like he is playing with more purpose than I have ever seen him

:35:50. > :35:55.play. When you think he is a semifinalist at Wimbledon in the

:35:56. > :35:59.past. He was a semifinalist at the Australian Open. Playing the

:36:00. > :36:12.opponent that he is playing now. He was two sets to one up and his

:36:13. > :36:18.abductor went - that is part of the game. Great moments for him. This

:36:19. > :36:24.could be an unbelievable year. It is amazing to watch. When you look at

:36:25. > :36:29.Raonic and you think of mainly one thing - the serve. You think, the

:36:30. > :36:33.second thing you think of - predictable. He is becoming

:36:34. > :36:38.unpredictable, which is what is so good. He is coming in at different

:36:39. > :36:41.times. His variation is good. He is stepping round to hit that

:36:42. > :36:45.inside-out forehand. He is slicing the ball coming in. He is giving

:36:46. > :36:49.different targets to Murray. He is not scared of Murray from the

:36:50. > :36:52.baseline. It is early days yet. If he continues like this, what a

:36:53. > :36:59.message this is sending out to the rest of the crowd. If your game plan

:37:00. > :37:05.is wrong, or has failures in it, and faults, as long as you are doing it

:37:06. > :37:10.with purpose, it is like driving badly. Do something, don't dawdle

:37:11. > :37:19.around. He is not dawdling in any way. No. I like the purpose he is

:37:20. > :37:21.playing with. I agree. I know why he is not winning. It is not an odd

:37:22. > :37:37.year! 2009, '11, '13, '15, all belonging

:37:38. > :37:39.to Murray. He beat Anderson last year. This one he is going to have

:37:40. > :38:37.to come back from a set and a break. Nice passing shot. A bit unfortunate

:38:38. > :38:40.for Raonic that the net cord slowed that ball up a bit. But still, a

:38:41. > :39:35.good passing shot. UMPIRE: Game, Murray.

:39:36. > :39:41.SUE BARKER: We are staying with the tennis here on BBC One. Songs of

:39:42. > :40:05.Praise is now on BBC Two. We are staying with the tennis here on One.

:40:06. > :40:08.Murray looks more composed again now, after winning that game. He's

:40:09. > :41:05.settled again. UMPIRE: Mr Raonic is challenging the

:41:06. > :41:09.call. That looked good from here. You have had your eyes done. I

:41:10. > :41:46.thought it was good. You have had your eyes done. Look at that.

:41:47. > :41:52.The trouble is, Murray has another chance to get back in. He had that

:41:53. > :41:56.little lull in concentration. He lost his serve. Raonic played well.

:41:57. > :42:27.Is he going to have another chance? Nicely-constructed point there. Good

:42:28. > :43:13.approach. This is too good. 121mph serve into

:43:14. > :43:18.the body. That is bigger than a lot of players' first serve. That is a

:43:19. > :43:23.second serve! 30-30 in the second set, aiming for his first tournament

:43:24. > :43:27.win off a hard-court against Murray, 7,000 people here. Yeah. Tremendous

:43:28. > :43:35.play. UMPIRE: Mr Murray is challenging the

:43:36. > :43:47.call. Deuce.

:43:48. > :44:34.CHEERING CROWD: Come on, Andy!

:44:35. > :44:38.UMPIRE: Advantage Murray. It is the eighth break-point of the

:44:39. > :44:49.week against the Raonic serve. Nobody has managed to win one yet.

:44:50. > :45:28.55 service games in a row, unless my maths is wrong. It took that little

:45:29. > :45:32.moment of inspiration there to get the break from one of the finest

:45:33. > :45:38.returners the game has ever seen. He is back in the match. It looked like

:45:39. > :45:39.he had settled down, he had a bit of a reaction at the end of the first

:45:40. > :45:52.set. Yeah. SUE BARKER: He certainly is back in

:45:53. > :45:57.it. A great match here on Centre Court and we are staying with it

:45:58. > :46:05.here on BBC One. If you are expecting Songs Of Praise, that is

:46:06. > :46:13.now on BBC Two but we are staying with the tennis on BBC One. JOHN

:46:14. > :46:19.LLOYD: It is a funny old game when you think he was that close to being

:46:20. > :46:27.4-1. That is why we love this game, it can turn so quickly. The man who

:46:28. > :46:33.is coaching Raonic once missed a volley by a centimetre and it cost

:46:34. > :46:41.of a French Open against Ivan Lendl. It would have completed his set of

:46:42. > :46:45.Grand Slam championships. No, he never won the Australian. He wanted

:46:46. > :46:51.to beat Lendl so badly but he didn't. And if you talk to him about

:46:52. > :47:01.it now, he still gives you a bit of a look! 1984.

:47:02. > :49:18.The forehand has been awesome today from Raonic.

:49:19. > :50:14.The body language has changed ever so slightly! Concentration is there

:50:15. > :50:17.now. Oh yes. The little tics a touch of the hat, Rakip adjustment, ready.

:50:18. > :51:22.-- racket. I thought he was going to make that.

:51:23. > :51:27.He has got a set of wheels on him! Speedy Gonzalez at the back of the

:51:28. > :51:36.court and Raonic sort of shoved that one through. He played his man in

:51:37. > :51:59.there, Raonic. He would not have liked 0- 30.

:52:00. > :52:08.He has lost his rhythm a bit on the first serves in this game.

:52:09. > :52:16.He needs to get that back pretty quick because Murray is handling his

:52:17. > :52:24.second serve, even in the mid 120s he is getting them back well.

:52:25. > :52:39.CHEERING He doesn't have that shot. Just

:52:40. > :52:44.keeps on making him play, Murray. This one, his eyes were not level

:52:45. > :52:58.with the ball, he did not bend low enough. No.

:52:59. > :53:11.Mr Murray is challenging the call, the ball was called in.

:53:12. > :53:48.I think the speed gun but that one wrong, 125 mph. It was about 145.

:53:49. > :54:12.It's amazing, isn't it? One moment he looked like he wanted to get on

:54:13. > :54:20.the Underground and get out of it and the next, just 100% the Andy

:54:21. > :54:25.Murray we have come to a door over the years. It is staggering, one

:54:26. > :54:30.backhand volley by half an inch missed and Raonic is in the driving

:54:31. > :54:34.seat. He misses it and the whole thing has flipped. It happens so

:54:35. > :54:39.quickly but really because Murray re-engaged. He had mentally lost it

:54:40. > :54:45.for a bit and he suddenly got back but more than that, the shots he has

:54:46. > :54:52.had to hit. Raonic now is pressing, to me. For a set and the first three

:54:53. > :54:56.or four games it looked like he felt he could not miss and he was

:54:57. > :54:59.dominating but once Murray got that break, it was like his whole

:55:00. > :55:07.confidence dissipated. It does appear that Murray needs a crisis in

:55:08. > :55:11.order to fully motivate at times. Playing the major championships as

:55:12. > :55:17.well, look at the French Open, the first two rounds, he made it to the

:55:18. > :55:24.final but lost it but his first two matches, not there at all. Two set

:55:25. > :55:31.down against Stepanek and 2-1 down in the next match. He is never

:55:32. > :55:42.beaten, he hates losing and that is a good thing. Absolutely.

:55:43. > :55:48.A set and 3-0 down 15 minutes ago, 4-3 up with a break now. He is just

:55:49. > :56:52.getting warmed up. I tell you who else he beat of the

:56:53. > :56:55.French Open along the way, some of the biggest servers of all time

:56:56. > :57:02.after those two difficult matches. Karlovic.

:57:03. > :58:14.APPLAUSE He is having a great time now.

:58:15. > :58:19.Loving it, absolutely loving it. He is in the trenches now, he has dug

:58:20. > :58:25.in. Andy Love is a target as well, this one, he dips it not quite low

:58:26. > :58:34.enough but just there, no doubt he was going to win that point.

:58:35. > :58:55.He is eye to eye with the enemy now, just a few yards away, so engaged

:58:56. > :59:02.with the contest. Just sit back and enjoy it.

:59:03. > :59:15.Slightly raised eyebrows, where has this guy been?

:59:16. > :59:21.He missed it but keep watching because this is kind of a special

:59:22. > :59:50.vein of form from Andy Murray. It's amazing, now Raonic is

:59:51. > :00:00.struggling for aces in the last three games. Murray is absolutely

:00:01. > :00:05.plugged in. This is quite something. Intense, looking to beat the

:00:06. > :00:08.opponent, just beat them one on one, if there was nobody else here he

:00:09. > :00:20.would be playing the same way. He is into it.

:00:21. > :00:28.That was too good. If Murray can keep engaging in rallies like that,

:00:29. > :00:30.he will win more of those type of points. That was a heck of a

:00:31. > :01:23.backhand from Raonic. If you had to pick one match in

:01:24. > :01:28.which Murray played better than any other, that would be so hard because

:01:29. > :01:40.he's played so many unbelievable matches over time. If I had to pick

:01:41. > :01:45.it, I would say sets three and four versus Novak Djokovic, semifinal,

:01:46. > :01:48.French, last year, down two sets and he just threw everything, just like

:01:49. > :01:52.we have seen in the last few minutes there, there is this wonderful

:01:53. > :01:58.elevation of standard and this bringing from deep that I just, I

:01:59. > :02:02.think is fantastic. You can wait a lot of years to see another player

:02:03. > :02:07.in Britain like this. It is a rare thing to see. He's that good. Some

:02:08. > :02:11.people criticise us when we criticise him. Other people say we

:02:12. > :02:15.adore him too much. I'm telling you the way I feel about him now, as the

:02:16. > :02:19.finished product he is unreal. When he is like this. I agree with you,

:02:20. > :02:24.against the Djokovic - there is Kevin Spacey. He's picked a good

:02:25. > :02:31.final to come. That Djokovic match? That Djokovic match, I agree with

:02:32. > :02:35.you, when you look t at -- at those two sets, it looked like who could

:02:36. > :02:38.ever beat him. For those two sets, he played tennis that was

:02:39. > :02:44.mind-boggling there. It was a joy to watch. The problem is, against

:02:45. > :02:48.Djokovic, he will do it for four-and-a-half hours. I agree with

:02:49. > :02:53.you, some of the tennis is, well... This match here, on this one, to

:02:54. > :02:56.come back from where he's come back from against a player that was

:02:57. > :03:00.playing one of the best sets, or matches he's probably ever played,

:03:01. > :03:05.it's been staggering to get back into this match.

:03:06. > :04:43.UMPIRE: Mr Raonic is challenging the call. Right service line, the ball

:04:44. > :05:10.was called in. That's away. It's one set all. That

:05:11. > :05:16.seemed unlikely some minutes ago. Now, it looks like only one result.

:05:17. > :05:20.Still a set to play, so nothing to be taken for granted. Murray has

:05:21. > :05:29.switched his engines on and Raonic must now respond. One set all.

:05:30. > :05:32.SUE BARKER: What a match. So many twists and turns already. What a

:05:33. > :05:36.start this final is to our summer of tennis on the BBC. We head to

:05:37. > :05:40.Eastbourne next week, as some of the best women players in the world

:05:41. > :05:43.battle it out for the Aegon International. From June 27th, it is

:05:44. > :05:49.Wimbledon and what a Championships it should be. Can Andy Murray repeat

:05:50. > :05:52.his winning feat of 2013? After Wimbledon, Great Britain continue

:05:53. > :05:55.their defence of their title with a quarterfinal tie against Serbia in

:05:56. > :06:00.Belgrade. It could be Djokovic versus Murray in that one. Also, if

:06:01. > :06:08.you want to get the latest tennis news sent straight to your phone,

:06:09. > :06:21.you can download the BBC Sport app and set up tennis news alerts.

:06:22. > :06:24.England's cricketers return to one-day international against Sri

:06:25. > :06:29.Lanka on Tuesday. Back to this final. A few points here and there

:06:30. > :06:32.can turn a match around. We have had outstanding tennis, thrilling drama,

:06:33. > :06:36.what a final. We have still got another set to come.

:06:37. > :06:41.ANDREW CASTLE: It is something to look forward to when Murray turns it

:06:42. > :06:47.around like this and the intensity goes up. News of his brother, who is

:06:48. > :06:53.world number one at the moment in the men's doubles. Quarterfinal this

:06:54. > :07:05.week, they lost him and his partner. The final of the men's doubles here,

:07:06. > :07:09.Chris Guccione and Andre Sa are in the final against Pierre-Hugues

:07:10. > :07:14.Herbert and Nicolas Mahut, who I think they have to be considered the

:07:15. > :07:19.best doubles team in the world right now, the Bryans narrowly ahead of

:07:20. > :07:23.them in the rankings. That is the doubles. They are the number two

:07:24. > :07:27.team at the moment. You should see them. They are wonderful players.

:07:28. > :07:33.Jamie Murray, number one in the world. Andy was quick to say, he got

:07:34. > :07:39.there before I did! JOHN LLOYD: He did say that. Not

:07:40. > :07:45.competitive at all, is he? It is an extraordinary return from a little

:07:46. > :08:00.town called Dunblane. Staggering. Quite staggering, really.

:08:01. > :08:06.The youngest son has just been escorted away, a quick loo break and

:08:07. > :08:11.ready to play this third set. Gives everyone a chance to stretch their

:08:12. > :08:15.legs here. We have had some great finals here. I must say, this is

:08:16. > :08:20.right up there for the first two sets, in terms of the quality and

:08:21. > :08:23.variation. I know we have seen a lot of aces, but still, the points have

:08:24. > :08:42.been magnificent. Boris Becker in 1985 for sheer star

:08:43. > :08:50.power, that was something. What did he say, if he wins Wimbledon, I'm

:08:51. > :08:54.going to... Some comment. He went back-to-back tournaments. It was the

:08:55. > :08:59.most amazing of upsets. Lovely presentation the other day,

:09:00. > :09:03.yesterday, to the guys who have won this Championship on four occasions,

:09:04. > :09:08.and wonderful to see Roy Emmerson here, one of the great Australian

:09:09. > :09:13.players. Roy was one of the greats. Loved Queen's Club. He used to

:09:14. > :09:17.practice on the indoor courts and he would play for a week to get in

:09:18. > :09:21.practice before he went on the grass to get the rhythm and he would play

:09:22. > :09:25.two or three hours in the morning, and in the afternoons he would play

:09:26. > :09:29.five sets and he would wear out all the practice partners, so he would

:09:30. > :09:38.have to keep getting new ones in every day. Bjorn Borg used to play

:09:39. > :09:45.the entire Swedish Davis Cup team over five sets and beat them!

:09:46. > :09:51.Novak Djokovic doesn't play the tournament. Everybody has different

:09:52. > :09:56.theories about what to do to warm up for Wimbledon. Andy Murray likes

:09:57. > :10:02.playing here and it hasn't done him too badly, has it?

:10:03. > :10:14.The tournament has been played under leaden skies all week. Steven Farrow

:10:15. > :10:17.and Charlotte Stone deserve some credit for keeping everybody's mood

:10:18. > :10:21.nice and placid. There's been a lot of waiting around at times.

:10:22. > :10:24.UMPIRE: Seats please. Time. The weather has cleared enough to

:10:25. > :10:35.get the tournament through at the right time. Fingers crossed, and

:10:36. > :10:41.touch wood, we haven't had too many slips either. They normally happen

:10:42. > :10:45.at the back of the court. UMPIRE: Raonic to serve.

:10:46. > :10:57.Rounds of drinks in. People just settling. Milos's

:10:58. > :10:59.girlfriend is making her way to her seat. She is late coming in. Andy,

:11:00. > :11:13.don't have a go at her! It won't surprise you to know that

:11:14. > :11:23.she is a model. And a very successful one, too. Also Canadian.

:11:24. > :11:32.Six tennis balls in play. Where are the other two? They can get stuck

:11:33. > :11:44.between the back awning and the front of the stand.

:11:45. > :11:50.It will be a good trick if he serves all those! He's got big enough hands

:11:51. > :12:40.to do it. Murray upped his intensity in the

:12:41. > :12:44.third set against Kyle Edmund. And also against Marin Cilic. This is

:12:45. > :14:36.the moment. What a return of serve. You get the

:14:37. > :14:41.feeling now with Raonic and Murray, you feel that Murray is going to get

:14:42. > :14:46.his racquet on these serves now. For a while, you didn't feel that. There

:14:47. > :14:52.were aces coming after aces. I'm not saying he is not going to serve some

:14:53. > :14:59.more, but Murray seems to be reading it now.

:15:00. > :15:44.Not getting as many first serves in as he was.

:15:45. > :15:58.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Oh! How good is that? 24 shots! And

:15:59. > :16:14.he finishes with a drop shot. SUE BARKER: We can't go anywhere, we

:16:15. > :16:25.are staying with the tennis here on BBC One. If you are tuned in to

:16:26. > :16:43.watch The Gorilla That Talks To People that is now on BBC Two. The

:16:44. > :16:45.tennis will be on BBC One. ANDREW CASTLE: Koko is great by the way but

:16:46. > :18:11.you can record back and stay here. He is putting down the hammer, just

:18:12. > :18:22.as he did at the beginning of those other third sets I was mentioning.

:18:23. > :19:15.The second one of those in the tramlines.

:19:16. > :19:39.New balls please. In the first game where Murray broke Raonic in this

:19:40. > :19:51.deciding set, six points played, Raonic made two first serves and won

:19:52. > :19:56.both of those. Koko the gorilla, that is on BBC Two now but we are

:19:57. > :20:01.staying with this tennis. But when he misses his first serve, Murray is

:20:02. > :20:22.all over it. He has to get back on a holding track here.

:20:23. > :20:38.It is just staggering the way this has changed around and it all stems

:20:39. > :20:42.from the fact, obviously when Raonic lost that service game, the first in

:20:43. > :20:48.the tournament, just some doubts crept into his mind. He is not

:20:49. > :20:54.picking the spots as well on his serve any more and Murray is all

:20:55. > :20:57.over everything. It is amazing how it has changed round. That one he

:20:58. > :21:02.missed but he is getting his racket on almost every ball, such different

:21:03. > :21:09.from the first set and a bit when the aces were flowing and Murray was

:21:10. > :21:36.frustrated. A lot of this has to be psychological.

:21:37. > :22:49.Murray is certainly upping his intensity, his footwork is superb.

:22:50. > :22:55.The Raonic serve, this is from the first set. The green areas, this is

:22:56. > :23:00.Raonic's first serve placement and he was making a lot of them. The

:23:01. > :23:07.green lines are within 50 centimetres of the service lines.

:23:08. > :23:14.Since then, this is how it has changed, 92%, you see how it has

:23:15. > :23:20.gone down. Some of that is because Andy Murray is picking some of them

:23:21. > :23:24.up or is there no particular reason? When he lost that first service

:23:25. > :23:29.game, finally, I think his confidence went a little bit. He has

:23:30. > :23:34.just lost that rhythm and believe that he could snap them away like he

:23:35. > :23:38.was. The rhythm is not there as much and Murray is picking them up a lot

:23:39. > :23:44.more. It has changed around so quickly. Do players and their

:23:45. > :23:50.coaches use these sort of statistics now? There seem to be loaded

:23:51. > :23:54.available. This will be looked at. I am sure McEnroe, if Raonic loses

:23:55. > :23:58.this, or even if he wins, I am sure there will be a discussion on this

:23:59. > :24:06.and they will show some of the stats and where the serve dipped and why

:24:07. > :24:10.it happened. Mentally, why did it go? Did you lose your confidence?

:24:11. > :24:30.You can't do that, particularly against someone like Andy Murray.

:24:31. > :24:42.APPLAUSE A little flamboyant at the end! A

:24:43. > :24:49.little pose, get the camera ready, look at that! Beautiful!

:24:50. > :24:55.Backhands generally look better than forehands on film.

:24:56. > :26:02.From the baseline, we saw some big winners from Raonic for a set and a

:26:03. > :26:07.bit, he was pouncing on forehands but again, he can't seem to put

:26:08. > :26:09.Murray away in these rallies, it has all changed around so quickly.

:26:10. > :27:05.Remarkable, really. Murray has won night of the last 11

:27:06. > :27:13.games after being set down and 3-0 with a break. One missed volley by

:27:14. > :27:18.about a centimetre from Milos Raonic which would have given him a hold

:27:19. > :27:24.but he went on to lose that game and all changed. And that was a

:27:25. > :27:49.challenge. That is how big Hawk-Eye is.

:27:50. > :29:14.Raonic still in touch here. We talked about the Battle of the super

:29:15. > :29:17.coaches, we can overplay these things but Lendl and McEnroe were

:29:18. > :29:21.not just two ordinarily players, they were pretty special to have

:29:22. > :29:26.around. And the tail end of Connors as they were coming up, he was still

:29:27. > :29:30.producing great tennis, it was a wonderful generation. We talk about

:29:31. > :29:36.the big four now but they were great matches to watch and it was at a

:29:37. > :29:39.time when TV was not saturated with coverage so when you did see these

:29:40. > :29:44.matches it was a special occasion. I suppose they were a bit younger than

:29:45. > :29:51.you, you would have been coming on at about the same time? McEnroe and

:29:52. > :29:55.Lendl, that was in the latter stages, I played them both but not

:29:56. > :30:01.very successfully! But they were great players. Both of them were

:30:02. > :30:07.amazing, McEnroe, to me... You played him in a Davis Cup final?

:30:08. > :30:12.Yes, again, not very well, he gave me a bit of a dusting. But he was

:30:13. > :30:18.great and just to watch him play, coming up through the ranks and some

:30:19. > :30:27.of the great tennis of all time. Lendl was more of a terminator.

:30:28. > :30:34.Exactly! To McEnroe's genius. I was more of a McEnroe man at that time.

:30:35. > :30:58.Nobody got to know Ivan Lendl till later.

:30:59. > :31:06.Good serving there from Murray as well. Looks very comfortable.

:31:07. > :32:23.How his game has changed! Can you remember when he didn't want to take

:32:24. > :32:26.that ball on? He wanted to rally and soak up pressure. Now he brutalises

:32:27. > :32:38.the ball! Pat Cash in the background.

:32:39. > :32:42.UMPIRE: Game, Murray. Another man who knew his way around

:32:43. > :32:46.a grass court. Murray, after a couple of hours of play here,

:32:47. > :32:54.closing in on a fifth title. UMPIRE: Murray leads 4-2.

:32:55. > :33:00.Nobody has won a fifth title here. It is an extraordinary record.

:33:01. > :34:55.Players do love records. He will be so eager to get this.

:34:56. > :35:01.To make that return from that serve and Raonic doesn't want to be

:35:02. > :35:07.playing too many of those types of volleys. Did well there, though.

:35:08. > :35:23.Murray leads 4-3. SUE BARKER: Murray is still up a

:35:24. > :35:36.break in this final set. Some news from elsewhere. Experience triumphed

:35:37. > :35:46.over youth in Halle where Florian Mayer beat Alexander Zverev to win

:35:47. > :35:50.the title. Madison Keys won the title at

:35:51. > :35:59.Edgbaston this afternoon. She will move into the top ten for the first

:36:00. > :36:04.time next week. She will be playing at Eastbourne next week. Murray

:36:05. > :36:09.still has some work to do. ANDREW CASTLE: Indeed. The task

:36:10. > :36:13.coming here was to win the title, but it was to find some form on the

:36:14. > :36:17.grass courts ahead of the Championships at Wimbledon and the

:36:18. > :36:21.first match played him into some real form. It was a tough one

:36:22. > :36:27.against Nicolas Mahut, who won in Holland, actually only on Monday.

:36:28. > :36:39.He's upped his game and he's timed his effort superbly this week.

:36:40. > :36:43.UMPIRE: Seats, please. Time. Djokovic remains his greater

:36:44. > :36:46.challenge, of course. We will get to see if we see that match at

:36:47. > :37:22.Wimbledon. Murray still has to hold serve a couple of times.

:37:23. > :37:31.JOHN LLOYD: So good. He's improved that shot so much. So much more

:37:32. > :37:33.aggressive. That set himself up for the top-spin volley. The drive

:37:34. > :37:58.top-spin volley. He's got a lovely rhythm on his

:37:59. > :39:04.serve now. Variation. A lot of the power in

:39:05. > :39:05.this last game, with the serves and the big forehands, and there is the

:39:06. > :40:50.feel that he has. He's got it all. 119mph that second serve and Murray

:40:51. > :40:53.took it on the rise as if it wasn't even there. Again, that is the speed

:40:54. > :41:31.of a lot of players' first serve. Two chances at tennis history here.

:41:32. > :41:36.At this venerable old Queen's Club. Match-points.

:41:37. > :42:35.He finished the Davis Cup with a lob like that. That's right.

:42:36. > :42:41.He is not an easy person to get over with a top-spin lob. He has a great

:42:42. > :43:35.jump on him. Ace number 14, Raonic has saved two

:43:36. > :44:01.match-points in this game. A courageous effort.

:44:02. > :44:45.The backhand drive brings another match-point, a third.

:44:46. > :44:54.And that's it! Five Championships at Queen's Club for Andy Murray. More

:44:55. > :45:14.tennis history! So much achieved in the game, but to

:45:15. > :45:20.win in front of these fans for a fifth time is certainly another

:45:21. > :45:30.feather in his cap. And to break Milos Raonic on a grass court four

:45:31. > :45:34.times in one match... Raonic will reflect on the fact he was a set and

:45:35. > :45:36.a break up and he missed a volley by one centimetre. Those are the

:45:37. > :45:45.margins at this level. He played an excellent tournament

:45:46. > :45:51.and hadn't lost his serve coming into this but end up losing it four

:45:52. > :45:56.times in two sets. Amazing and full credit to Murray for turning that

:45:57. > :46:02.around, he looks to be out of it mentally. But we have seen it

:46:03. > :46:08.before. Deserved congratulations from his team. Lendl has gone

:46:09. > :46:12.already! The week started with that big news that Ivan Lendl was back

:46:13. > :46:15.with Andy Murray, the man who was alongside him for so many of the

:46:16. > :46:21.great triumphs and they have found winning form straightaway. Jamie

:46:22. > :46:25.Delgado has been very humble in his acceptance of the shape of the team

:46:26. > :46:31.now but he looks well set for what is ahead.

:46:32. > :46:40.A shame it finished with that. I know what was coming afterwards, it

:46:41. > :46:45.was going to be a lob! The third time in a row, he would have kept

:46:46. > :46:49.going with that tactic until he made it. A fine performance, really. It

:46:50. > :46:57.looked like he was out, it really did. Number nine in the world, Milos

:46:58. > :47:01.Raonic, he is sixth in the race which means he has had the sixth

:47:02. > :47:06.best year of anybody since January. He has done a lot before and he will

:47:07. > :47:10.be a handful for somebody at Wimbledon where he has had a

:47:11. > :47:21.semifinal appearance. Excellent tournament from Raonic to.

:47:22. > :47:26.Everything is getting ready on the court with the presentation party

:47:27. > :47:33.making their way onto this hallowed grass. And one of the biggest

:47:34. > :47:49.trophies in tennis is being wheeled out by a couple of people. A tiny

:47:50. > :47:53.bit of a scrum as everybody gets organised. Quite narrow walkways at

:47:54. > :47:59.this club, certainly not a purpose-built arena. They slot this

:48:00. > :48:04.rather wonderful setting around the court and they make it happen and

:48:05. > :48:08.when it all disappears, it looks so very different but it has been a

:48:09. > :48:12.fine tournament once again. We have seen some good tennis despite some

:48:13. > :48:19.heavy conditions and quite a lot of interruptions. And for the fifth

:48:20. > :48:39.time, Andy Murray will lift this trophy.

:48:40. > :48:46.Ladies and gentlemen, we would now like to present the Aegon

:48:47. > :48:58.Championships trophy. The presentation party, Stephen Parra,

:48:59. > :49:05.the tournament director. -- Stephen Farrow.

:49:06. > :49:17.The group CEO of Aegon. The president of the opiate. The

:49:18. > :49:26.chairman of the Queen's Club -- president of the LTA.

:49:27. > :49:41.First of all, our runner-up, to receive a Magnum of Melhuish and

:49:42. > :50:07.champagne -- Moet Chandon. Our runner-up, Milos Raonic! APPLAUSE

:50:08. > :50:18.SUE BARKER: Me lots, congratulations on playing your part and a fabulous

:50:19. > :50:29.final -- Milos. APPLAUSE I think when Andy turned it around

:50:30. > :50:36.in that second set, where do you serve against somebody like him? You

:50:37. > :50:39.try to go through him! Maybe I can go through his stomach! But

:50:40. > :50:46.congratulations to him for winning this tournament for a fifth time, I

:50:47. > :50:50.am sure it not -- it's not nearly as special as your first Father's Day

:50:51. > :50:57.so happy Father's Day as well. APPLAUSE

:50:58. > :51:03.At least I hope it's not as special! And happy Father's Day to obviously

:51:04. > :51:08.my own and the many fathers on my team and everybody here that I'm

:51:09. > :51:13.sure is enjoying the day and some good tennis. Back home it a lot of

:51:14. > :51:19.fun to play here, it is the first time playing Sunday on grass and

:51:20. > :51:26.hopefully I can have a rematch in a couple of Sundays. We would

:51:27. > :51:31.certainly like that! APPLAUSE You said after Paris you came here

:51:32. > :51:35.and wanted to play forward and more attacking, John McEnroe in your

:51:36. > :51:40.corner, you did not win but you must be pleased with how you are playing.

:51:41. > :51:45.I'm feeling pretty good out here. It's good progress that I've made

:51:46. > :51:49.this week, improving every day and I gave it my all today. It wasn't

:51:50. > :51:54.enough but hopefully I can keep making progress in this next time

:51:55. > :51:58.that I have and play my best come a fortnight. We wish you all the best

:51:59. > :52:01.for that and congratulations again, Milos Raonic!

:52:02. > :52:22.And now, ladies and gentlemen, we would like to present to the winner

:52:23. > :52:34.at Jeroboam of champagne, and of course the Aegon Championships

:52:35. > :52:39.trophy, to our Aegon Championships champion, five time Andy Murray!

:52:40. > :53:14.I guess you get the trophy in a minute! Standing at the back

:53:15. > :53:18.watching those last few points, everybody was saying, how does he do

:53:19. > :53:30.it? I didn't have the answer so how do you do it? What? Turn it around!

:53:31. > :53:34.I guessed on a few serves to get one of the breaks back and after that I

:53:35. > :53:41.started to gain a bit of confidence and I was seeing the serve a bit

:53:42. > :53:46.better but it's not always up to me. Milos serves unbelievably well, a

:53:47. > :53:49.huge serve, very powerful and sometimes it is just too good when

:53:50. > :53:53.he hit the line but as the match goes on you start to get a bit more

:53:54. > :53:58.of a feel for the speed and I got a few good returns in at the end. How

:53:59. > :54:04.good did it feel, the last set and a half? It was great, obviously coming

:54:05. > :54:07.out trying to win for the fifth time I was really motivated. It was

:54:08. > :54:11.frustrating when you are down a set and a break but I started to return

:54:12. > :54:16.well and my serve worked very well for the last couple of sets and I

:54:17. > :54:20.played some good stuff. You mentioned a fifth title, going ahead

:54:21. > :54:26.of the likes of John McEnroe, Boris Becker, leading to it, Andy Roddick,

:54:27. > :54:32.Roy Emerson, the first five-time winner -- Lleyton Hewitt. Obviously

:54:33. > :54:36.this tournament has loads of history, it is a great event and

:54:37. > :54:41.they always have unbelievable crowds from the beginning of the event. But

:54:42. > :54:46.the field every year is extremely strong. It is a pleasure obviously

:54:47. > :54:50.to play in front of someone like John, normally it in the commentary

:54:51. > :54:58.box telling us what we should be doing! -- he is in. He is obviously

:54:59. > :55:02.a great player and any time you can do something a bit better than

:55:03. > :55:07.somebody like him is an amazing feeling! LAUGHTER

:55:08. > :55:12.I'm certainly not comparing myself to him, I'm aware he had achieved a

:55:13. > :55:19.lot more than him but to win here for a fifth time, it means a lot to

:55:20. > :55:25.me. He is smiling, don't worry! Ivan, I'm not sure if he was happy

:55:26. > :55:30.or not! He doesn't give much away. It was nice of him to stick around!

:55:31. > :55:40.LAUGHTER I don't really know where he was off

:55:41. > :55:46.to! Obviously a good first week back together! And big thanks to all of

:55:47. > :55:50.my team and my family, it means a lot to win here so thank you for

:55:51. > :55:58.your support and help. And happy Father's Day. Thank you very much.

:55:59. > :55:59.Congratulations, the Aegon Championships champion for the fifth

:56:00. > :56:20.time, Andy Murray! ANDREW CASTLE: The fifth time he has

:56:21. > :56:27.raised the trophy above his head here at Queen's Club. Four breaks of

:56:28. > :56:33.serve against Milos Raonic in two sets, so much for Andy Murray to be

:56:34. > :56:37.proud of here. He doesn't drink too much of that, maybe he will allow

:56:38. > :56:42.himself something. He took five days off after the French Open. Straight

:56:43. > :56:47.into the tournament here and another victory. It is a remarkable set of

:56:48. > :56:51.achievements which he is putting together and he is having the career

:56:52. > :56:55.we thought might be possible but perhaps not even in his wildest

:56:56. > :57:01.dreams did he imagine he would win the Davis Cup, Olympic gold, US

:57:02. > :57:07.Open, Wimbledon and to complete the set of being in all of these major

:57:08. > :57:10.championships finals, Australia, France, Wimbledon and the US. It is

:57:11. > :57:17.extraordinary and there is more to come. He will be at the Olympics in

:57:18. > :57:23.Rio and there is that Davis Cup tie against Serbia after Wimbledon as

:57:24. > :57:28.well so great times for Andy Murray. A second title this year after

:57:29. > :57:33.winning in Rome am one of the most prestigious clay-court titles, when

:57:34. > :57:38.he did not lose a set and beat Djokovic. A great year. I have said

:57:39. > :57:43.it before and I will say it again, we are lucky to have him. He knows

:57:44. > :57:47.how to dig deep and compete and when he concentrates 100% there is only

:57:48. > :57:52.one man who can match him and you know who that is. We will see if

:57:53. > :57:55.that is the Wimbledon final. Those championships get underway, and it

:57:56. > :58:22.is likely from what we have seen. Look how long that goes back. The

:58:23. > :58:29.likes of Doherty. Spencer Gore on there as well. Many replicas were

:58:30. > :58:32.given out to the four-time winners who were here yesterday. Lovely to

:58:33. > :58:40.see Roy Emerson and of course McEnroe as well. Lleyton Hewitt.

:58:41. > :58:45.Hard to look further than Andy Murray or Novak Djokovic for the

:58:46. > :58:54.potential championship match at Wimbledon. It was very funny that

:58:55. > :59:01.even Lendl was not there! He was just up and away -- Ivan Lendl.

:59:02. > :59:06.Probably something as simple as needing to go and spend a penny! But

:59:07. > :59:10.it was big news this week, Lendl coming back and that is another

:59:11. > :59:18.story line to this great sport that we all enjoy so much.

:59:19. > :59:25.When the concentration was there for Andy Murray, there was only one

:59:26. > :59:33.player in it. Against Kyle Edmund, who did himself proud of this week

:59:34. > :59:44.with that victory over Gilles Simon. The same thing against Mahut. He

:59:45. > :59:48.came through that match. And that is the big East stand that will be

:59:49. > :59:58.reconstructed over the next week or so. Just showing the trophy to them.

:59:59. > :00:07.6000 people up in that enormous public stand.

:00:08. > :00:13.It was suggested by some earlier this week that he wasn't appreciated

:00:14. > :00:20.quite as much as he ought to be. I can't imagine why that would be

:00:21. > :00:23.anybody's thought. Sports Personality of the Year on two

:00:24. > :00:29.occasions and I think one of the most adored sportsmen in Great

:00:30. > :00:33.Britain now, of any generation. He is right up there. You can put him

:00:34. > :00:38.with any of our greats over the years. The likes of Nick Faldo and

:00:39. > :00:47.Bobby Charlton, Bobby Moore even. The pantheon of great Scottish

:00:48. > :00:57.sports people, there can only be the one man at the top. Ten Grand Slam

:00:58. > :01:01.finals and a word for the girls who have done such a good job, and for

:01:02. > :01:05.the staff who have made this all possible.

:01:06. > :01:13.It just so happens that we have the greatest tennis tournament in the

:01:14. > :01:17.world here, and before we get to that, our next tennis is from

:01:18. > :01:24.Eastbourne here on the BBC. That starts on Tuesday, 1.00pm on BBC

:01:25. > :01:25.Two. And it is June 27th, the kick-off date, be there, all roads

:01:26. > :02:25.lead to Wimbledon! What a great reaction. You simply

:02:26. > :02:36.cannot give more. It's in! This is remarkable tennis! The waiting is

:02:37. > :02:44.over! That is way too good. I don't believe it! It's in! She's done it!

:02:45. > :02:48.The Queen of Centre Court. Unbelievable tennis. She will be

:02:49. > :03:01.walking on water next. # Just for a minute

:03:02. > :03:05.# The silver forked sky # Lit you up like a star

:03:06. > :03:09.# That I will follow. # Only a week on Monday to wait.

:03:10. > :03:13.Seeing the tennis that we have experienced here, John and Peter,

:03:14. > :03:18.it's whet the appetite, to show what we are going to be looking forward

:03:19. > :03:22.to? What a match. It was a perfect contrast. I love the way they both

:03:23. > :03:25.played. They were so aggressive. They wanted it so badly, both

:03:26. > :03:30.players. We saw everything out there today. We saw some big serving, the

:03:31. > :03:34.returns, the movement, the passion, Murray was up and then down, then

:03:35. > :03:39.up. Raonic kept it the same level the whole way, but we saw the

:03:40. > :03:43.potential there, you know, could he go one step further at Wimbledon?

:03:44. > :03:46.McEnroe believes he can. If he can play like that set and a half and

:03:47. > :03:52.keep it going for a bit longer, he could be a big threat. We were

:03:53. > :03:56.watching up here, and we said Murray has this knack, he doesn't want to

:03:57. > :03:59.lose, he finds a way to turn it around. He mentioned out there, "I

:04:00. > :04:04.guessed right on a couple of serves." He's done it three matches

:04:05. > :04:08.in a row. The quarters and the semis, he really raised his game.

:04:09. > :04:14.Today he had to do it. Or rather down a set and a break. And then,

:04:15. > :04:22.suddenly, broke serve four times in a row, or four out of five times. He

:04:23. > :04:30.was incredible. OK, fine, he probably, if not has the best

:04:31. > :04:34.return, certainly tied with Novak in that regard, and yet couldn't get a

:04:35. > :04:41.sniff on a ball for a set and a half, could he? As you say, he sort

:04:42. > :04:44.of dug deep and figured it out. Let's show the turning point. It was

:04:45. > :04:52.in the second set, he was down a set. He was down 3-1. This volley

:04:53. > :04:58.from Raonic, that really could have given him the game point. He was

:04:59. > :05:03.40-30 up. Look how close... It shows the difference - he could have been

:05:04. > :05:07.4-1 up and going home. Without Hawk-Eye he would have been down

:05:08. > :05:17.4-1. That is what Murray does to break serve. It is a lot of mind

:05:18. > :05:22.games as well. Exactly. He was so down and he was having a go at his

:05:23. > :05:26.bench, then he re-engaged and then the next minute, he was magical. It

:05:27. > :05:29.was like Raonic couldn't find a way past him after that. That is

:05:30. > :05:35.set-point and that was when Murray started to take control, and he kept

:05:36. > :05:40.that motivation going? Yes, it is really hard to quantify momentum in

:05:41. > :05:44.a tennis match. Yet, you know when it's changing and when Raonic lost

:05:45. > :05:48.that game, when he missed that volley by a quarter of an inch, he

:05:49. > :05:52.lost the momentum and then he perhaps became a little more

:05:53. > :05:56.conservative with his serving targets, didn't hit the line quite

:05:57. > :06:01.as often, didn't come into the net as often towards the end of the

:06:02. > :06:07.match either. That is something that perhaps his camp will discuss over

:06:08. > :06:10.the next week, just, come on, just because you drop your serve once,

:06:11. > :06:13.doesn't mean that you change your whole style of play. It is hard. His

:06:14. > :06:18.natural style is to play from the back. Exactly. So you tend to revert

:06:19. > :06:22.to what you know best. He's got to try and forget that. I agree with

:06:23. > :06:27.Peter. That is the thing, after they have calmed down a bit, Mac will be

:06:28. > :06:32.on about that. You bullied Murray - and I mean that in a good sense - he

:06:33. > :06:35.was on top of him, he was charging and going after everything. He loses

:06:36. > :06:39.one break, and it was psychologically, I haven't lost my

:06:40. > :06:44.serve the whole week and slight doubts came in. Then he didn't go

:06:45. > :06:48.for the corners, wasn't aggressive coming in and the thing flipped

:06:49. > :06:52.around. You can't do that. With Wimbledon coming up, it will be five

:06:53. > :06:55.sets, you will be having lots of ebbs and flows. You have to keep

:06:56. > :06:59.that level up higher. We saw the fist pump when he won that second

:07:00. > :07:07.serve and he wanted to keep that momentum going and he did. Raonic -

:07:08. > :07:11.he wasn't missing those balls earlier on. Exactly. That was the

:07:12. > :07:20.point. Murray, you never thought after that that rain rape was going

:07:21. > :07:27.to serve aces. -- that that Murray was going to serve aces. Then it

:07:28. > :07:32.became one-way traffic after that. You feel once the rally is under

:07:33. > :07:41.way, that Murray was the favourite? No question about it. If you want to

:07:42. > :07:46.oversimplify it, the one huge weapon that Milos Raonic has... That was

:07:47. > :07:50.too good. Murray is too quick around the back of the court, too much feel

:07:51. > :07:54.and can do too much with the ball for Raonic to think he can win

:07:55. > :08:00.enough points to put him into trouble. Really, if you oversimplify

:08:01. > :08:03.it, the one weapon that Raonic has that no-one else can do, is he

:08:04. > :08:09.scares opponents to death, he really does. You think, I have no say in

:08:10. > :08:12.the matter and yet if he becomes just more conservative, he allows

:08:13. > :08:18.himself to rally more, he loses that, he loses that. So it's almost

:08:19. > :08:23.a case of when push comes to shove you have to butt heads with these

:08:24. > :08:27.top guys and then maybe you can breakthrough. It was wonderful from

:08:28. > :08:31.a set and a breakdown, he won eight out of the next nine games and he

:08:32. > :08:33.was producing one magical point after another. And the way he

:08:34. > :08:37.constructs his points as well, moving people out of position, it is

:08:38. > :08:41.beautiful to watch. When he plays like this, you look at it and you

:08:42. > :08:44.go, well, how does he lose a match? Only because there is a certain

:08:45. > :08:49.Novak Djokovic around. When he is in this type of form, he is brilliant.

:08:50. > :08:53.He's got the first serve that was, the last set and a half was huge. He

:08:54. > :08:58.was hitting corners every one. The return of serve is ridiculous. Then

:08:59. > :09:03.he moves opponents around and he has this different feel, with this

:09:04. > :09:07.different touch, the drop shots, and when he plays like this, I can't see

:09:08. > :09:13.how anybody can beat him, apart from Djokovic. Raonic has got to say to

:09:14. > :09:16.himself, for a set and a half, I was there, I have got to continue that,

:09:17. > :09:24.I have to keep believing in it? Absolutely right. He was awesome. He

:09:25. > :09:28.really was. He would be a threat to anybody in the world for that set

:09:29. > :09:32.and a half. Those are the sorts of conversations they will have over

:09:33. > :09:36.the next week or so, to say, "Keep going, just keep going, don't

:09:37. > :09:43.question anything." Commit to the tactics and do it. If you lose,

:09:44. > :09:48.fine. Ivan Lendl left, job done, isn't it? It has been a wonderful

:09:49. > :09:52.final here today. It has been a very interesting week here. We have had

:09:53. > :09:56.rain, rain, and more rain. John Inverdale looks back at the week.

:09:57. > :10:00.There is a joke doing the rounds at the moment, a Scotsman goes into a

:10:01. > :10:06.bar, the Englishman, Irishman and Welshman would be there too but they

:10:07. > :10:11.are away at the Euros! Just about every other summer, the only thing

:10:12. > :10:15.we have been able to rely on across the sporting landscape is this most

:10:16. > :10:21.remarkable of Scots. It may be the summer of Sturridge or Bale or Eddie

:10:22. > :10:27.Jones, but at Queen's, as so often in the past, it's been Andy Murray

:10:28. > :10:30.who has stolen the show. Grass court tennis is different, less time to

:10:31. > :10:34.think, less time to react. Fresh from reaching the final on the clay

:10:35. > :10:41.at Roland Garros, the first British man to do that in 79 years, Andy has

:10:42. > :10:45.been chasing a fifth title at Queen's, diving like Becker and

:10:46. > :10:58.moving like Jagger. On some levels, it has been a

:10:59. > :11:03.familiar Queen's, big men hitting big serves. Why don't we cut to the

:11:04. > :11:07.chase and go to the tie-break? Rain and more rain, slips and tumbles.

:11:08. > :11:18.But there's been the unexpected, too, a first all British

:11:19. > :11:23.quarterfinal in the Open era and the return of the Mac. It was too big a

:11:24. > :11:37.gig for the ultimate ringmaster to turn down. Where are we as we leave

:11:38. > :11:41.Queen's? Djokovic appears impregnable and then there is Andy.

:11:42. > :11:45.Whatever happens at the Euros, people try to put him down, but he

:11:46. > :11:49.is the greatest sportsman of this generation. This fifth triumph at

:11:50. > :11:54.Queen's was a mouth-watering starter for the main course to come.

:11:55. > :11:58.Thanks, John. It certainly was. He's proved himself yet again here at

:11:59. > :12:04.Queen's, winning his fifth title. Let's remind you he first won it in

:12:05. > :12:09.2009. He couldn't lift it he wasn't strong enough to do that. Over the

:12:10. > :12:12.years, he's got better and better and just keeps improving,

:12:13. > :12:17.physically, mentally and technically. He always finds a way
