:00:31. > :00:41.Racing - batting away. He's back in the winner's enclosure

:00:41. > :00:41.

:00:41. > :00:51.here in Royal Ascot. Flying home at the stands rail.

:00:51. > :00:58.

:00:58. > :01:03.Lolly for Dolly, for Ireland, grabs our opening two races of the second

:01:03. > :01:13.day of Royal Ascot. Welcome to our BBC Two coverage. We have more live

:01:13. > :01:14.

:01:14. > :01:19.races for you and the final race, in which the Queen has a good

:01:19. > :01:22.chance. Her Majesty the Queen is in the Royal Box, wearing pink and

:01:22. > :01:27.white and has the perfect view across the course and will enjoy

:01:28. > :01:32.these horses which will be taking to the fray over one mile and a

:01:32. > :01:37.quarter in the Prince of Wales's stakes, headed by So You Think. We

:01:37. > :01:43.will see him on the racecourse and hearing from Aidan O'Brien talking

:01:43. > :01:47.about him as well. He is in the pre-parade ring. He is just an

:01:47. > :01:54.enormous, heavy horse. A lot of people in Australia will be staying

:01:54. > :02:04.up late to watch this race. And New Zealand. He ran in the Melbourne

:02:04. > :02:08.

:02:08. > :02:15.Cup. Finished third in that. Stam ma not be a prb at all --

:02:15. > :02:25.stamina will not be a problem at all.

:02:25. > :02:26.

:02:26. > :02:34.Receiving the introduce fri from Michael Vaughen.

:02:34. > :02:39.This is how she stretched away to the line, she did it impressively.

:02:40. > :02:46.She does try hard, doesn't she? Look how low she's getting to the

:02:46. > :02:51.ground. Poking her head out, saying, I can't go any faster Wayne W the

:02:51. > :02:55.blinkers on she cannot see the rest of the field. She's had those

:02:55. > :03:05.blinkers on for the last five races and won three of those, and been

:03:05. > :03:11.

:03:11. > :03:18.second in the other two. I've got Ashes winning captain

:03:18. > :03:24.Michael Vaughen beside me. How many times have you been here? Twice to

:03:24. > :03:28.Ascot. I've been to the National on a couple of occasions. This is

:03:28. > :03:35.special. I didn't realise how big it was. Thanks for the tips, by the

:03:35. > :03:39.way. Thought we weren't going to mention that. You're a good cricket

:03:39. > :03:44.tipster yourself. England about to start the test against vy lan

:03:44. > :03:53.kafplt the first time at the Rose Bowl. What can we expect? I hope

:03:53. > :03:58.the weather stays fair for a few days. Having Anderson in the team.

:03:58. > :04:02.They will get that spark they missed at Lords.

:04:02. > :04:08.Sri Lanka will be slightly worse off. You would think an English

:04:08. > :04:15.victory this week. You never know. Sri Lanka have good batsmen. With

:04:15. > :04:18.the rain around, probably a draw. Later on in this summer they take

:04:18. > :04:22.on India. A lot of people saying that will be the series that

:04:22. > :04:26.decides the best team in the world. Do you agree with that? England are

:04:26. > :04:28.number three in the world at the minute. If they had beaten Sri

:04:28. > :04:34.Lanka they would have gone to number two.

:04:34. > :04:38.I think they have enough in their ranks to be able to beat India in

:04:39. > :04:42.home conditions. If the ball swings, it should swing in these conditions.

:04:42. > :04:46.India's batting is probably the best in the world. I think India

:04:46. > :04:52.have problems with the ball now. I don't see them having too many

:04:52. > :04:57.wicket-taking options. If you can get Broad and Tremlett

:04:57. > :05:02.you will be chipping in with a view. Here a tip for you, So You Think,

:05:02. > :05:06.you think might run a big race. it's coming from you, it has no

:05:06. > :05:16.chance! He must know him very well. I am

:05:16. > :05:19.

:05:19. > :05:25.glad you have joined us. We are making some of the girls Vivien

:05:25. > :05:34.Westwood model. Can you talk us through these outfits. She has seen

:05:34. > :05:40.a beautiful Vivien Westwood show. She is famous for iconic pieces.

:05:40. > :05:45.She is one of the most innovative designers we have nowadays.

:05:45. > :05:50.Obviously the idea is embracing being a woman. We have the corset,

:05:50. > :05:56.so, yeah, the most amazing pieces for such a lovely day. Can you

:05:56. > :06:01.breathe in that? I can. I know you have to go. Girls, run off to your

:06:01. > :06:06.show. We can look at them now in action, with some of these fabulous

:06:06. > :06:12.images. Talk us through this collection. This collection is from

:06:12. > :06:20.our spring and summer, 2011. It is called Prince Charming and was

:06:21. > :06:28.inspired by fairytales. You can see there is a big gym put of fairy

:06:28. > :06:34.tails,. Iconic pieces. You know, it is obviously Vivien as we know her.

:06:34. > :06:39.Great fun clothes, aren't they? It's always. It's absolutely

:06:39. > :06:44.amazing. It is very challenging and inspiring working with her. As we

:06:44. > :06:49.know Vivien she's one of the most iconic designers we have these days.

:06:49. > :06:54.How long have you worked with her? Four years next month. What is she

:06:54. > :07:00.like? We don't see her at Ascot very often? Well, everyone has an

:07:00. > :07:04.image of Vivien. She is an amazing person to work with. Very inspiring,

:07:04. > :07:09.very challenging. A very amazing designer. A very inspiration person

:07:09. > :07:13.to have around. The million dollar question is, you are working such a

:07:13. > :07:17.strong, iconic lady, who has made strong political statements. What

:07:17. > :07:22.has been the most challenging moment working with her? Obviously

:07:22. > :07:28.working in the press office is a very engaging environment. We are

:07:28. > :07:34.so busy. So many things happening. We have collections, fashion shows,

:07:34. > :07:42.collaborations, events, we participate. Vivien is known for

:07:42. > :07:49.medium of her show to basically alert people about what is

:07:49. > :07:55.happening out there these days. She's certainly one of my favourite

:07:55. > :08:00.designers. Thank you. Also here in the crowd Catherine

:08:00. > :08:06.Jenkins. She is saying hello to Willie. I am sure it is the

:08:06. > :08:14.highlight of her day. She looks fantastic. She recently announced

:08:14. > :08:20.her engagement to Gethin Jones. You will have seen her coach pop stars

:08:20. > :08:26.and singing in the operatic style. I took my father of a concert of

:08:26. > :08:32.her's for a treat last winter. He'll be very excited she is here.

:08:32. > :08:42.She'll very shortly see this horse, So You Think, come into the parade

:08:42. > :08:43.

:08:43. > :08:48.ring. He is by High Chapprell. He was down in New Zealand and covered

:08:48. > :08:52.a mare called Triasic. That mating produced this enormous beast of a

:08:52. > :08:57.horse. They adore him in New Zealand and in Australia, where he

:08:57. > :09:04.has done most racing until he transferred to Ireland. The team

:09:04. > :09:11.thought, he'll be one for us, a potential superstar stallion. Let's

:09:11. > :09:17.find out more about him. THE COMMENTATOR: An amazing win.

:09:17. > :09:24.Every true champion needs to conquer new frontiers. He is

:09:24. > :09:31.perhaps the most modern day racehorse. There is huge confidence

:09:31. > :09:36.behind him. His cruising, his stride and his capacity for work.

:09:36. > :09:40.His natural ability is incredible. From day one he's been like a

:09:40. > :09:45.sports character. He is the best horse I have riden. I have won

:09:45. > :09:48.three races on him. They would say, you will be happy before you get on

:09:48. > :09:53.him. I said I'll wipe my feet before I get on him. That's how you

:09:53. > :10:00.feel when you see the horse. He has a real presence about him.

:10:00. > :10:06.You feel he's special special. In Australian eyes a fenom mouse.

:10:06. > :10:12.He is mentioned in the same breathe as other greats like Kingston Town,

:10:12. > :10:20.if you stretch back you can go back to Farlap. So You Think, seen here

:10:20. > :10:27.at the sales as a yearling cost a bargain 55,000. And is regardeds a

:10:27. > :10:32.poster boy for the ki ki breeding industry. This fella has size,

:10:32. > :10:36.power, quality strength, movement, temperament. He's a unique specimen.

:10:36. > :10:42.The minute you see him, or anybody sees him they will see what we are

:10:42. > :10:48.talking about. On the track, So You Think became a star, by winning

:10:48. > :10:53.Australia's version of the Arc. THE COMMENTATOR: So You Think....

:10:54. > :10:58.He won again last October, when taking part in three Group ones in

:10:58. > :11:08.three days, winning twice and then finishing third in the marathon of

:11:08. > :11:09.

:11:09. > :11:14.the Melbourne Cup. Most his wins were pretty easy. He pulls all the

:11:14. > :11:18.way, never relaxed over two miles. It was like watching a runner who

:11:18. > :11:22.was a 100 metre stripbter coming out and winning over 15 -- sprinter

:11:22. > :11:28.coming out and winning over 1500 metres.

:11:28. > :11:33.His former trainer lost the horse and described racing here as "not

:11:33. > :11:38.being worth two bob." Bart is a legend. He is a man who's never,

:11:38. > :11:41.ever short of a comment, a equip or a quote. It is understandable his

:11:41. > :11:45.huge disappointment, they will not see him in Australia. You balance

:11:45. > :11:50.that up with the fact this horse has been given his opportunity to

:11:50. > :11:54.come and prove himself on the world stage. You know, he has pretty much

:11:54. > :11:58.done everything in Australia. It will be great to see him and how he

:11:59. > :12:03.measured up in Europe. This horse is set to take on the world. To get

:12:03. > :12:07.up every morning and watch this fella do his cantering and racing,

:12:07. > :12:13.it's incredible. He's always in slow motion. Our other horses will

:12:13. > :12:16.be in top speed and he looks like he's in second gear. He is unique.

:12:16. > :12:21.Like something we've never seen before. Anything is posswbl this

:12:21. > :12:26.horse. It is himself that make -- possible with this horse. It is

:12:27. > :12:36.himself that makes it possible really. There he is - a glimpse of

:12:36. > :12:39.him. He was bred by Mike Maranag and Piper Farm Limited in Australia.

:12:39. > :12:43.He raced in Australia. Everyone claims him as their own. Now the

:12:43. > :12:51.Irish of course are claiming him as well. He's 5-2 on.

:12:51. > :13:01.And the man who'll be aboard, the man with the responsibility is Ryan

:13:01. > :13:34.

:13:34. > :13:38.Moore. So the runners and riders Wales's Stakes.

:13:38. > :13:43.The Prince of Wales's stakes is a feature on the Wednesday at Royal

:13:43. > :13:47.Ascot. It is run over a mile and a quarter. At the start it is very

:13:47. > :13:52.tricky, address the bend comes very quickly. Being drawn on the outside

:13:52. > :13:57.of the field is a great disadvantage. Coming towards the

:13:57. > :14:02.bend usually everybody jockeys for position, and being one off the

:14:02. > :14:06.rail is the best position. There's a lovely straight, three furlongs

:14:06. > :14:16.to the end. It gives everybody plenty of time to get themselves

:14:16. > :14:37.

:14:37. > :14:42.into a challenging position to win it is now 2-5. It is now 4-11 in

:14:42. > :14:48.places. That punter who had the 90,000, he's sitting pretty at the

:14:48. > :14:51.moment. A busy paddock. Everyone

:14:51. > :15:01.anticipating the appearance of So You Think in action in this country.

:15:01. > :15:04.

:15:04. > :15:12.Let's pick out a few horses. Twice Over, Henry ses sils. He looks well

:15:12. > :15:22.-- C -- Cecil. Henry Cecil horses are in good form.

:15:22. > :15:25.

:15:25. > :15:31.He had the second in that race. Over here we have the Planteur team.

:15:31. > :15:37.Soumillon chatting away there. Henry Cecil and Tom Queally. He's a

:15:37. > :15:42.mile and a quarter specialist. Now the Godolphin team, Sheik Mohammed

:15:42. > :15:47.is here every day. They have Debussy and Rewilding. Don't ignore

:15:47. > :15:57.Rewilding. He has a good form in a group one in dub bay. Frankie

:15:57. > :15:57.

:15:57. > :16:02.Dettori has gone over to get a leg up. The Colemore team are over here.

:16:02. > :16:06.Ryan Moore is over here. He's on board the big hot-shot, So You

:16:06. > :16:12.Think. We will find out today whether he is as good as they all

:16:12. > :16:18.think. They are not often wrong. This horse, Aidan O'Brien, here in

:16:18. > :16:26.his dark glasses, just thinks he is special. He talks about him as if

:16:26. > :16:30.he has landed from another planet. They look relaxed, very happy. So

:16:30. > :16:35.You Think is just coming through. Seven runners in this race. It is

:16:35. > :16:41.group one. It's top class. Interestingly just chatting to a

:16:41. > :16:51.man who has seen a lot of horses around the world. Your first

:16:51. > :16:57.impression of So You Think is? a nice big horse. I expebgtded --

:16:57. > :17:00.expected a monster. He's a good, strong type of horse. He's not

:17:01. > :17:07.small. When he races he appears bigger than in the flesh. Can you

:17:07. > :17:11.expect that. A lot of people say a horse rides bigger than he actually

:17:11. > :17:16.is? Because everything is in slow motion, his action is very much in

:17:16. > :17:20.slow motion when he's galloping. Everything to him will be easy,

:17:20. > :17:26.with that easy flowing action. number of jockeys in the weighing

:17:26. > :17:32.room came out to get a glimpse. They wanted to a glimpse of this

:17:32. > :17:35.horse. His reputation is he a is superstar. He has proven himself in

:17:35. > :17:40.Australia, New Zealand-bred. He has to prove himself in this part of

:17:40. > :17:46.the world. What we are expecting today is this horse, what for him

:17:46. > :17:52.to do is a penalty kick. Let's talk about number three here, Planteur.

:17:52. > :17:57.Lovely horse. Look at that! A beautiful horse, beautiful! He'll

:17:57. > :18:03.make So You Think work very hard. He is a bit more racy looking and

:18:03. > :18:12.lighter. He is the horse. Look at him. He's a marvellous-looking

:18:12. > :18:18.individual. Everybody in racing is excited about this horse.

:18:18. > :18:25.Among those taking a very, very close look is her Princess Royal.

:18:25. > :18:29.Right behind So You Think, getting on his toes is the lovely looking

:18:29. > :18:33.Sri Putra. Roger's first season having taken over from Michael

:18:33. > :18:38.Jarvis. How wonderful would it be to have a Royal Ascot winner here?

:18:38. > :18:44.A dream come through. It is nice to be here with a horse in the Prince

:18:44. > :18:49.over Wales. He's been a consistent horse for you. A superstar? He has

:18:49. > :18:55.solid form. We're under no illusions. He has to improve on the

:18:55. > :19:01.form book. He's put up his best performances in the championship

:19:01. > :19:05.races. Last year was arguably his best bit of form. For nothing else,

:19:05. > :19:10.the track, it ought to suit him. I hope he'll run well. How is Michael

:19:10. > :19:14.at the moment? I know he has undergone intensive treatment. He

:19:14. > :19:19.has been down and a lot of people sending him best wishes? He would

:19:19. > :19:23.like to be better than he is. He's in pretty good form. He's in great

:19:24. > :19:29.form. I spend a bit of time with him every day. He's well on top of

:19:29. > :19:33.what's going on. I now they are very supportive of you and they

:19:33. > :19:42.will wish you well and hope the flag keeps flying. We are very

:19:42. > :19:48.fortunate to have him in the camp. Good luck later on. That is the

:19:48. > :19:51.trainer of Sri Putra. There will be a parade in front of the Grandstand.

:19:51. > :19:56.Let's hand back before that parade starts.

:19:56. > :20:02.We echo the sentiments of good wishes to Michael Jarvis. Rewilding

:20:02. > :20:12.was lighter than he is at the moment last season. He's a bit

:20:12. > :20:17.

:20:17. > :20:21.wirey. He, the mare, Dehara is a great mare. She was barned for four

:20:21. > :20:28.years before this guy came along. What do you call them? The stud.

:20:28. > :20:33.They kept at it. You know, she was 19, I think, when she had this guy.

:20:33. > :20:41.It's fantastic to get a horse of that quality so late. The pick of

:20:41. > :20:46.the paddock for you. I know you like Twice Over. I like Twice Over,

:20:46. > :20:50.I like Sri Putra. That was a nice looking, very strong horse. He's a

:20:50. > :21:00.nice type. But of course So You Think, you know, he looked very

:21:00. > :21:00.

:21:00. > :21:10.cool, very relaxed. Good looking horse. Which one would I put my

:21:10. > :21:21.

:21:22. > :21:25.pound on? So You Think. 1 to win street as well.

:21:25. > :21:29.Willie might be able to afford to put his house on, he has more than

:21:29. > :21:35.one house, but for the rest of us, I think we would be more

:21:35. > :21:43.conservative. Seven runners for the Prince of Wales's Stakes. The

:21:43. > :21:47.parade is less by Debussy, who won an Arlington million Last year. He

:21:47. > :21:52.is followed by the gorgeous Jan Vermeer. A 40-1 shot here. They

:21:52. > :22:02.thought a lot of this horse last year. He finished fourth in the

:22:02. > :22:05.

:22:05. > :22:09.Derby and has won a Group One in France. Then we have French horse

:22:09. > :22:19.Planteur. The French have a very good record in this race. Rewilding

:22:19. > :22:20.

:22:20. > :22:30.next. Bred by WaterShip Down Stable. Andrew Lloyd Webber's wife bred

:22:30. > :22:30.

:22:30. > :22:36.this horse. Here we have So You Think. He is

:22:36. > :22:40.the 11-4 on favourite. Aidan O'Brien describing him as "a

:22:40. > :22:49.different creature." He looks very relaxed. He has seen big crowds

:22:49. > :22:55.like this before, at the spring carnival in Melbourne, where he won

:22:55. > :22:59.the stakes. Sri Putra is a 66-1 shot. We talked to his trainer. On

:22:59. > :23:03.form he shouldn't beat this horse, Twice Over, who beat him in the

:23:04. > :23:09.Eclipse. He has won the champion stakes twice as well. Twice Over,

:23:09. > :23:19.one of the very, very favourite horses of Henry Cecil. His trainer,

:23:19. > :23:21.

:23:21. > :23:26.Sir Henry Cecil. Those contenders for the Prince of Wales's Stakes.

:23:26. > :23:30.The focus is whether So You Think is the real deal and ready to

:23:30. > :23:37.dominate the European racing team. The home team's defence is led by

:23:37. > :23:46.Twice Over. He is adored by his trainer. My horse is very, very

:23:46. > :23:50.well and there's only one Ascot. He's won two Group Ones. From

:23:50. > :23:55.France comes Planteur. His performances as a three-year-old

:23:55. > :24:02.last year, included a second in the French Derby. He looks better now

:24:02. > :24:10.and will be riden by Christian Soumillon.

:24:10. > :24:16.Rewilding looks for a super season, subjected by his appearance in the

:24:16. > :24:23.spring. We ran him in Dubai fresh. He won the classic. One of the

:24:23. > :24:30.darker horses is Sri Putra, who is yet to win at Group One level.

:24:30. > :24:33.form has withstood over the last few seasons. He was second in the

:24:33. > :24:39.Eclipse. He likes fast ground. strong line-up is completed by

:24:39. > :24:45.Debussy, who took the Arlington Million last year.

:24:45. > :24:48.Jan Vermeer, who started for the Derby just 12 months ago. Come the

:24:48. > :24:51.final furlong we will know whether So You Think is ready to rule the

:24:51. > :25:01.racing world. So that is everything you need to

:25:01. > :25:02.

:25:02. > :25:11.know about the horses. Here are the men on board, Soumillon. Tom

:25:11. > :25:18.Queally, who is Twice Over's jockey. Ajtebi on Debussy. Frankie Dettori,

:25:18. > :25:23.he will miss the last two days because of a suspension. Ryan Moore

:25:23. > :25:27.has one on the board after yesterday. This is the hottest

:25:27. > :25:35.favourite. The enormous, big- striding So You Think. Look at him!

:25:35. > :25:40.Just a really impressive horse to look at. He looks more like Yates

:25:40. > :25:49.in terms of his power. That is his head virtually. He has a lot more

:25:49. > :25:59.speed than Yates. He is an Ascot hero. We have to look at him now.

:25:59. > :26:06.Taking a bit of a tug there on the way to the start. Yes, a little bit.

:26:06. > :26:10.They don't have to go very far for the start. Clare, it's a funny

:26:10. > :26:17.thing, horses do get a go on with you from the mile-and-a-half to the

:26:17. > :26:21.mile and a quarter. It's down hill. He would get a little bit away from

:26:21. > :26:27.Ryan there. You can see the branding mark on his shoulder.

:26:27. > :26:33.Australia horses get branded on the shoulder. Jan Vermeer I loved. I

:26:33. > :26:39.thought he was really handsome. good pace-maker. They can afford

:26:39. > :26:45.him as a pace-maker. In any other yard he would be your star horse.

:26:45. > :26:50.He would be in this race and hoping to make a race of it. He was one of

:26:50. > :26:54.the top four horses in the yard last year of three year olds.

:26:54. > :27:00.another look at the leaders in the market here, headed of course by So

:27:00. > :27:06.You Think, who is inching his way forward to the stalls.

:27:06. > :27:13.So You Think will go off our 11-4 favourite.

:27:13. > :27:17.He's pretty short enough. Ryan Moore in the saddle and So You

:27:17. > :27:21.Think, the Australian superstar facing his biggest challenge in

:27:21. > :27:28.Europe, in this Prince of Wales's Stakes. Rewilding in. They are set

:27:28. > :27:36.to go. Ready. Racing in the Prince of Wales. So

:27:36. > :27:40.You Think got away very smartly. Planteur was away well. Rewilding,

:27:40. > :27:44.as they settle falling into stride now N the centre, So You Think,

:27:44. > :27:49.being matched all the while now on the inside by Debussy. Out very

:27:49. > :27:55.wide Jan Vermeer, going around the outside of the pack to take it up.

:27:55. > :27:59.So Jan Vermeer going on. He's acting as a pace-maker.

:27:59. > :28:04.Half length away So You Think in third, the purple cap. Tucked in

:28:04. > :28:08.behind them is Planteur with Twice Over and Sri Putra. Back in the

:28:08. > :28:16.field Rewilding. They have just over six furlongs to travel. Jan

:28:16. > :28:19.Vermeer going very fast. He's by five lengths here. In third So You

:28:19. > :28:23.Think. A length-and-a-half further back Planteur.

:28:23. > :28:27.Twice Over, followed by Sri Putra. In the centre is Rewilding. Jan

:28:27. > :28:31.Vermeer, six in front as they come up past the five. In second there

:28:31. > :28:41.is Debussy. A length away So You Think is beautifully poised in

:28:41. > :28:44.

:28:44. > :28:51.third. Further back is Planteur. Out wide is Twice Over. And the

:28:51. > :28:55.pace-maker is five lengths in front. He started favourite for a Derby.

:28:55. > :29:03.Here is So You Think. He is on the outside So You Think, has raissed

:29:03. > :29:08.to the lead. He goes three lengths in front. Twice Over after him.

:29:08. > :29:12.Planteur. Rewilding is running on. Moore gives him a slap. He's gone

:29:12. > :29:18.three in front now. It is So You Think in front. Rewilding is now

:29:18. > :29:24.starting to motor home down the outside. A furlong left to go. So

:29:24. > :29:34.You Think a length-and-a-half in front. Rewilding is wearing him

:29:34. > :29:34.

:29:34. > :29:43.down. Rewilding on the outside. Rewilding has won the prince of

:29:43. > :29:48.Wales's stake. So You Think is second. Planteur, Twice Over. Jan

:29:48. > :29:54.Vermeer and last is Debussy. Rewilding, ridden by Frankie

:29:55. > :30:01.Dettori. He has gone on to win at 17-2. He's

:30:01. > :30:05.got up to nab the Aussie superstar right on the line. An upset in the

:30:05. > :30:08.Prince of Wales's stakes. Frankie Dettori has won it by a neck to a

:30:08. > :30:11.half length. He has defeated So You Think.

:30:12. > :30:19.Frankie Dettori punching the air with delight.

:30:19. > :30:25.What a result for Godolphin. In third then is Sri Putra. In fourth,

:30:25. > :30:31.Planteur. A long gap, look how far the others are. Then we see Twice

:30:31. > :30:34.Over. Back in fifth, a long, long gap, two more to come, and they'll

:30:34. > :30:44.be a long time coming, Jan Vermeer is one of them and Debussy is the

:30:44. > :31:00.

:31:00. > :31:08.Third in the Derby. Inch by inch, started to reel him in. So You

:31:08. > :31:15.Think just started to shorten and on the outside, Rewilding trained

:31:15. > :31:21.by Mamood al-Zarooni and ridden by Frankie Dettori has got up to

:31:21. > :31:26.triumph in this fantastic race. Frankie Dettori is the most

:31:26. > :31:30.successful of the current jockeys riding here at Royal Ascot, with 45

:31:30. > :31:36.winners to his name now. He's just as good on the new course here as

:31:36. > :31:41.he was on the old. A real thrill. What a ding dong finish. Rewilding

:31:41. > :31:44.has kept answering. A horse who has run over a mile-and-a-half. This a

:31:45. > :31:54.mile-and-a-quarter, so always keeping staying on. Frankie saying

:31:55. > :31:58.

:31:58. > :32:06.to us all, "I'm number one." The crowd love him. A stonking pace.

:32:06. > :32:09.Jan Vermeer got less at the start. He kept up a really good gallop. So

:32:09. > :32:16.You Think, no excuses. You couldn't say there were any, could you?

:32:16. > :32:20.Could you tell me that time? minutes - Broken the Track Record.

:32:20. > :32:25.Yes, you are right. He has. He's broken the Track Record. I think

:32:25. > :32:31.that's the race of the week so far. Godolphin, fantastic record in this

:32:31. > :32:37.race. They won it with Faithful Son and then three years on the run and

:32:37. > :32:42.do it again. Sheikh hoe mam ed will get so much satisfaction. John

:32:42. > :32:47.Ferguson buys the horses for them and Simon heavily involved on the

:32:47. > :32:51.training side. The stallion by this horse, he has gone back to Germany

:32:51. > :32:59.to stand. Sheikh Mohammed did stand him at Darley for a few seasons,

:32:59. > :33:08.but he's now gone back to Germany. He's a horse that the Sheikh always

:33:08. > :33:12.believed in. Look at this again. It's unbelievable. Frankie - the

:33:12. > :33:16.race was set up for So You Think, because they thought that this

:33:16. > :33:20.horse would definitely stay further. He did pull a little too hard early.

:33:20. > :33:24.Jumped a little quick. Ryan didn't get him as settled as quickly as he

:33:24. > :33:30.would have liked to, so he's thinking he has a horse with plenty

:33:30. > :33:33.of stom that, who didn't realise that the target Rewilding had a bit

:33:33. > :33:38.more stamina. It's not down to pace or anything. It's down to sheer

:33:38. > :33:42.guts and stamina now and of course he can't give any more and

:33:42. > :33:47.Rewilding got the draft. He was the horse doing the attacking and he

:33:47. > :33:53.was getting that little bit of help. You can see the belief in Frankie.

:33:53. > :33:59.Suddenly thinking I'm going to catch him. Look at him there. He's

:33:59. > :34:05.such an exuberant jockey. He brings so much passion to the sport. You

:34:05. > :34:08.need superstars like this and Richard Hills cheering him on.

:34:08. > :34:18.Franny Norton and Darryll Holland there. All of them saying, go on

:34:18. > :34:23.

:34:23. > :34:33.Frankie. You can see the jockeys riding it with him. Just brilliant.

:34:33. > :34:40.FANFARE May it please Your Majesty, Your Royal Highnesss, my Lords,

:34:40. > :34:44.ladies and gentlemen, what a race and coming out on top, Rewilding.

:34:44. > :34:49.We will get a flying dismount from Frankie Dettori. Cot granlations to

:34:49. > :34:58.the team and Mamood al-Zarooni. Rewilding answering every call. Fly

:34:58. > :35:06.Frankie, fly! APPLAUSE

:35:06. > :35:16.What a huge triumph for gol dolphin. Sheikh Mohammed and -- Godolphin

:35:16. > :35:16.

:35:16. > :35:22.and Sheikh Mohammed and Frankie Dettori and Mamood al-Zarooni and

:35:22. > :35:31.Simon Chrisford, the racing manager. On this occasion they've come out

:35:31. > :35:38.on top, against their arch rivals cool -- Coolmore and Ballydoyle. He

:35:38. > :35:46.has given everything, but Rewilding is cutting down and the time was

:35:46. > :35:51.24.24 and that is a second outside the record. It was a fierce gallop.

:35:51. > :36:01.Rewilding. There he is. He's the son of Tiger Hill. A very, very

:36:01. > :36:05.good race horse. He's Ryan Moore, disappointed. You can imagine, but

:36:05. > :36:09.Frankie Dettori jubilant. He's in the winners' enclosure. Here we are

:36:09. > :36:14.with the winning jockey, Frankie Dettori. Frankie, your thoughts as

:36:14. > :36:20.you crossed the line, because you looked pretty pumped, as the

:36:20. > :36:24.Aussies would say? Even at the end he never gave up. Two great horses.

:36:24. > :36:30.When I got past him and sheer joy when you see two great horses

:36:30. > :36:33.battling it out like this, it's sheer joy to be in the race.

:36:33. > :36:38.Delighted for Rewilding, because he doesn't get the recognition that he

:36:38. > :36:42.deserves. He's a very good horse. He showed true colours today.

:36:42. > :36:45.You've been involved in some great battles here, especially with the

:36:45. > :36:51.Ballydoyle team. Fantastic with Galileo for example. How satisfying

:36:51. > :36:55.is it to edge them in the closing stages of such a great race? With

:36:55. > :37:00.two great teams and we put our Life And Soul into the job and the sport

:37:00. > :37:06.and this is what we are here for, to have this kind of feignish and

:37:06. > :37:11.great races like this one and -- fin ishing and great races like

:37:11. > :37:20.this one and it was a great effort. How satisfying is it to get the

:37:20. > :37:25.tactics spot on today? Absolutely. The Sheikh had a chat early doors

:37:25. > :37:30.today and they did a great job. You need the horses to do it and full

:37:30. > :37:36.credit for a great team. Many congratulations. We are going to

:37:36. > :37:39.try to grab a quick word with Sheikh Mohammed, if it is possible.

:37:39. > :37:44.Is it possible to grab a quick word about the performance of the horse

:37:44. > :37:47.and how satisfied you were with what you have seen today. Well, I'm

:37:47. > :37:52.very satisfying with what we have seen today. It's always the racing

:37:52. > :37:57.that you are waiting for, the big races and if you win that, it's

:37:57. > :38:03.great. The preparation and the training was good and the horse was

:38:03. > :38:07.good. Your trainer is just standing over to our side here. Mamood al-

:38:07. > :38:10.Zarooni, a fantastic race. A lot of people saying one of the best

:38:10. > :38:19.finishes here for some time. How satisfying is it for you to produce

:38:19. > :38:23.the winner for his highness? It's not me. It's him who always gives

:38:23. > :38:27.us the direction on how to deal with the horses and everything. And

:38:27. > :38:33.the training programme and the feeding and everything in the yard.

:38:33. > :38:37.I have a good team working with me, so I'm very happy. Whose decision

:38:37. > :38:44.was it to switch the horse back to a mile-and-a-quarter and have the

:38:44. > :38:47.confidence that he could take on the very best? His highness. We are

:38:47. > :38:53.still learning. He's been here a long time. More than 30 years. He

:38:53. > :38:56.has a lot of experience in England, so what he says we follow.

:38:56. > :39:05.obvious target will be the King George? Exactly. We go there and

:39:05. > :39:15.see what happens. Well done. Thank you very much. A fantastic Prince

:39:15. > :39:15.

:39:15. > :39:21.of Wales sees Rewilding under the vintage Frankie Dettori. It saved

:39:21. > :39:25.the bookies a fortune. Don't forget that bet this morning, 90,000 and

:39:25. > :39:33.45,000. Fortunes. It must have saved the industry 2 million. If

:39:33. > :39:38.you fancy it for the Arc, the winner, 10-1. A bit of value.

:39:39. > :39:44.That's how easy it is to lose a house. We'll look at the start of

:39:44. > :39:50.this Prince of Wales. Here's the winner, Rewilding. The pacemaker is

:39:50. > :39:55.there. He misses the break. Early on I'm interested in Jan Vermeer,

:39:55. > :40:01.who hasn't got away fast. Has to get on with it. He brings him very

:40:01. > :40:06.wide, doesn't he? Ryan comes up to the side and has he shouted across?

:40:06. > :40:11.I think Joseph is looking across and seen that Ryan was very free.

:40:11. > :40:16.He has kept away, so as not to set him alight. He's to kick up there

:40:16. > :40:20.to get the horse in front. I think Ryan was quite relieved, because

:40:20. > :40:25.the horse Switched Off. For me, he ran a little keener than Ryan would

:40:25. > :40:28.have liked earlier on. Right at the back is Rewilding at this stage in

:40:28. > :40:32.the blue colours with Frankie Dettori. We'll look at the closing

:40:32. > :40:35.stages. You have heard about first and second. We'll look at a couple

:40:35. > :40:40.of others. We have Planteur and Twice Over. The interesting thing

:40:40. > :40:44.is they are both very good. One has won a group one already this season.

:40:44. > :40:48.They are beaten a very long way back. It tells you the quality of

:40:49. > :40:53.the race. The favourite kicked and looked like he had it sown up.

:40:53. > :40:58.Looked like he was idling, but once Frankie Dettori wound up Rewilding,

:40:58. > :41:05.he ran a great race and shown true colours today. He has. It was, I'm

:41:05. > :41:09.sure, for the supporters of either one, it was very, very long right

:41:09. > :41:15.at the end. Rewilding has won it. So You Think in second. Aidan

:41:15. > :41:18.O'Brien joins us. It looked on paper to be a race that So You

:41:18. > :41:24.Think should have run. Are you surprised you found a horse quick

:41:25. > :41:29.enough to beat him? I know. I would take responsibility for this

:41:29. > :41:33.totally. He won his first two starts very easy and because of

:41:33. > :41:37.that I was letting him come along very gently and not training very

:41:37. > :41:42.hard and because he won the first two races so easily I didn't like

:41:42. > :41:45.to get stuck into him like sometimes you would, so I let him

:41:45. > :41:49.come along himself and listen, it was a big step on the last two. He

:41:49. > :41:53.jumped and was a little fresh with Ryan. He just tanked a little the

:41:53. > :41:58.first two and then a strong run and went there and went in quick and

:41:59. > :42:03.went in and won, but got tired on the last half a furlong. Frankie

:42:03. > :42:09.gave the horse a beautiful ride. He just came there and got him the

:42:09. > :42:13.last 50 yards. I would think it was trainer's error and maybe not

:42:13. > :42:18.having him fit enough for this kind of race on the day. Because he won

:42:18. > :42:22.the first two so I didn't like to chase him too much, but we must

:42:22. > :42:26.remember he would have never probably come the distance and been

:42:26. > :42:31.so competitive in this atmosphere ever before and even run like that.

:42:31. > :42:37.I would say it was my fault and he got a little tired and I'm sorry

:42:37. > :42:42.and we'll go on from here. don't have to apologise to me. What

:42:42. > :42:47.are you saying then, that there is a lot of improvement? I would think

:42:47. > :42:51.so. He was a big, strong heavy blow after, you understand and for me

:42:51. > :42:55.there was a fitness blow looking at it. After the race we'll see what

:42:55. > :42:59.will happen next time, but I would expect plenty of improvement to

:42:59. > :43:02.come. Listen, like I said, because he won the first two so easy I

:43:02. > :43:06.didn't like to change things too much, even though coming here was a

:43:06. > :43:10.different race today. He jumped and he was on the mettle straight away

:43:10. > :43:13.and had to tank early and settle into a strong pace and Ryan did

:43:13. > :43:17.everything right. Produced him and said come on and go and win like

:43:17. > :43:21.always and he did, but the last half furlong he found hard. I would

:43:21. > :43:26.put it down to fitness. That's what I think at the moment. Would you

:43:26. > :43:30.think the Eclipse would be the next race? We'll have to talk with

:43:30. > :43:34.everybody, but obviously there's a definite possibility, but like we

:43:34. > :43:41.always do, there is no race picked out for after this race. We'll talk

:43:41. > :43:44.about it. There are a lots of options. Thank you. Aidan O'Brien

:43:44. > :43:47.blaming himself and himself only for the defeat of So You Think,

:43:47. > :43:52.saying the horse probably wasn't fit enough and maybe he's right.

:43:52. > :43:58.Maybe more work needed. He will have come on from the race, but

:43:58. > :44:07.Detorri deemerges victorious on Rewilding. It's a time that is 1.76

:44:07. > :44:14.seconds faster than average. Fast enough to take the spoils. These

:44:14. > :44:19.were two great horses. They had a battle Royal from two furlongs out.

:44:19. > :44:22.There's a very happy Frankie Dettori. The Duke of Edinburgh

:44:22. > :44:26.making very rare appearance here on the presentation stage. Doesn't

:44:26. > :44:30.often come down to present. Prince of Wales usually does that.

:44:30. > :44:33.He's not here today. His father stepping in there. A big kiss for

:44:33. > :44:39.the trophy, because this is one of the flagship races. This is one of

:44:39. > :44:44.the big ones of the week. It is. It's where horses, stallions,

:44:44. > :44:48.that's where they're made and where the money is. When you win these

:44:48. > :44:52.sort of group races and of course you are taking on the best in the

:44:52. > :45:02.world and a lot of breeders would love to go to both of those horses.

:45:02. > :45:05.

:45:05. > :45:09.The first and the second. John there offering marital advice to

:45:09. > :45:15.their Royal Highnesses. He's a great character. He's asking the

:45:15. > :45:18.Sheikh to give him an interview. He is saying you must be joking. Good

:45:18. > :45:22.effort. Great effort. Would you like, you've got an opportunity now

:45:22. > :45:26.if you would like to, to apologise to all those people who may have

:45:26. > :45:33.just lost their house? Right. Well, good things do get beaten every now

:45:33. > :45:37.and again. And of course, it never looked as if he was ever going to

:45:37. > :45:42.be beaten until the last half furlong, but the judge said he

:45:42. > :45:46.didn't win, so by a -- so buy a tent. Sorry about that. Come and

:45:46. > :45:50.stay with Willie if you no longer have a house. We have three races

:45:50. > :45:55.left. The last is on the red button. A massive field going to the start.

:45:55. > :45:59.Starting to come into the paddock for the next, which is over the

:45:59. > :46:09.straight mile, is the Royal Hunt Cup. Start Right is the favourite.

:46:09. > :46:29.

:46:29. > :46:37.We'll see if he can finish right Humdrum, the Queen's horse. We are

:46:37. > :46:43.moving on to a the jockeys. Johnny Andhaary. Harry's first ride. Your

:46:43. > :46:51.first winner is actually you looked youthful, but about 16 years ago?

:46:51. > :46:57.think it was Original Pearl. Always been a lucky track for me. I love

:46:57. > :47:02.it here. I suppose Harry, his first day here, so I'm sure he has many

:47:02. > :47:08.more ahead of him. You are drawn 19, so have you been told, do you know

:47:08. > :47:13.where you want to go? I think the plan is to come standside and

:47:13. > :47:18.obviously I'm pretty sure they'll split. I'll stay there. You have

:47:18. > :47:22.got to only come one side because you are in three. Listen, I think

:47:22. > :47:25.both sides will be equal. The middle is lost, because the ones on

:47:25. > :47:29.the outside are trying to get across and you lose ground getting

:47:29. > :47:34.across. The standside has been good so far. I wouldn't put anybody off

:47:34. > :47:41.the far side this time. It's one or the other. Middle is No Man's Land.

:47:41. > :47:46.You had, yesterday, closed on Mr Frankie Dettori, but he's one ahead

:47:46. > :47:50.again or extended the lead. Rewilding, So You Think, a great

:47:50. > :47:55.race? It was a brilliant race to watch in the weighingroom. The

:47:55. > :47:59.highlight of the week. Two great horses. When they pulled clear it

:47:59. > :48:03.looked like it would be So You Think's day, but Frankie Dettori

:48:03. > :48:08.conjured up a great run out of the horse and it was just Frankie at

:48:08. > :48:13.his very, very best. Harry, finally, obviously you are a young jockey

:48:13. > :48:16.and this is a big handicap. Do you feel pressure on this? I don't

:48:17. > :48:21.think so. I'm more excited to be honest. It's a privilege to be

:48:21. > :48:26.riding in such a big meeting in such a good race. I'm really

:48:26. > :48:35.excited. Will you say excuse me if you pass him during the race?

:48:35. > :48:40.might do. Thank you. I don't think so! I've found out that Russ Abbott

:48:40. > :48:44.used to be a drummer. I was in the 60's and 70's. I still have a

:48:44. > :48:49.little session now and again. about the horses? I'm not seeing

:48:49. > :48:53.too much cash bulging out of the horses -- pockets? I'm not that

:48:53. > :48:57.good. I'm a novice. Excuse the pun. I was in Oliver in the West End

:48:58. > :49:01.last year. It was great. I couldn't be here and I picked every winner

:49:02. > :49:11.out of the paper. Now I've lost every race so far. Who are you

:49:12. > :49:16.

:49:16. > :49:22.having now? Dance And Dance. Also, Whitnorth. I've got to come and see

:49:23. > :49:26.JP and Gary. Dance And Dance, rust is having it. Any chance? It's got

:49:26. > :49:32.four legs. You are the champion. Last year you tipped two, both won.

:49:32. > :49:35.What about that last race? Frankie, extraordinary. So exciting.

:49:35. > :49:42.Fantastic race. Rode a brilliant one. The crowd were cheering.

:49:42. > :49:47.the bookies a fortune. 2 million it saved them. I've got a quiz for

:49:47. > :49:54.you. A little quiz for the guys. It's not about fish and chip shops,

:49:54. > :50:01.is it? It's not, sadly. It's about etiquette in the Royal enclosure.

:50:01. > :50:05.He thinks it's a town in France. Ladies' skirts, how high above the

:50:05. > :50:14.knee are they allowed to be? Four inches. Half of that. I would say

:50:14. > :50:20.two. JP is right. Shoulder straps - what is the minimum measurement for

:50:20. > :50:29.them on the lady? There shouldn't be. If the girls want to come -

:50:29. > :50:35.think strapless is right? I'll go for an inch. He's right. 2-0!

:50:35. > :50:40.finally, what about hats? Drown of the head. Absolutely. Got for

:50:40. > :50:44.covered? Got to be covered. It's three out of three for JP. I said

:50:44. > :50:52.the same as him. All right. 2-1. You still lose. Tomorrow, we have

:50:52. > :51:02.fish and chips. Before You Go, she might be on the Gadget Show, but do

:51:02. > :51:03.

:51:03. > :51:08.you think she can find a gadget to help her find her hotel room. I got

:51:08. > :51:13.a knock last night. I don't believe you said that. I went down the

:51:13. > :51:23.wrong wing and nearly ended up in his room. We'll talk about fashion.

:51:23. > :51:25.

:51:25. > :51:30.We have seen really glorious sights and Louis is here. Beautiful

:51:30. > :51:35.extraordinary. I have to ask you about this wonderful outfit. What

:51:35. > :51:45.was your inspiration? I didn't want to be cold. I've had too many days

:51:45. > :51:45.

:51:45. > :51:49.being cold, so warm today. Lovely girl made the hat. You look lovely.

:51:49. > :51:57.The hat is extraordinary. We have the base and great vibrant colours.

:51:57. > :52:03.Very strong and I think ideal for the season. These two girls, Isabel

:52:03. > :52:08.is a hat maker. This is feathers of flight. I love that. Look at this

:52:09. > :52:14.too. This great, almost like top hat, in a gold. I saw her earlier

:52:14. > :52:18.and she had a wonderful trouser suit. It's very brave. It works.

:52:18. > :52:24.The fashion today has been exciting and fresh and I abore it. As long

:52:24. > :52:30.as the trousers match the jacket, then it's OK. This outfit. Who made

:52:30. > :52:33.this? The suit is Armani and the hat is by a young designer, Kath

:52:33. > :52:39.Lynn Elizabeth, I've just found her if London and hopefully things are

:52:39. > :52:46.about to take off. She made it to go with the suit. I have to ask the

:52:46. > :52:51.question, what did you decide on, the hat or outfit first?, be honest.

:52:51. > :52:55.I had the outfit first and then I took it to Catherine and she made a

:52:55. > :53:00.hat and something that wasn't going to fly away like last year, so

:53:00. > :53:03.something neat and pared down. That's a very good point. It will

:53:03. > :53:08.be a little breezy so make sure you have the pins and wear something

:53:08. > :53:15.that is not going to blow away. You like divine. Thank you very much. -

:53:15. > :53:19.- look divine. Thank you very much. Frankie Dettori flying after that

:53:19. > :53:24.success on Rewilding. I said he won the St Leger, but he didn't. He won

:53:24. > :53:26.the trial. Frankie Dettori has a horse to stay well to turn into a

:53:26. > :53:36.great performance and receiving congratulations from everyone.

:53:36. > :53:36.

:53:36. > :53:45.Richard Hills of course, who rides for -- in the next race. Terrific

:53:45. > :53:49.ride from Frankie. Kevin, he has in -- Invisible Man in the next race.

:53:49. > :53:53.It was his first win of the meeting last year? That's right. Obviously

:53:53. > :53:57.he has gone up in the weights and he'll be there for a chance.

:53:57. > :54:01.Godolphin will be glad to get a decent winner on the board, but

:54:01. > :54:06.handicap-wise there are one or two horses in front. Start Right,

:54:06. > :54:11.trained by Luca Cumani, who ran at Epsom at the Derby meeting. Got a

:54:11. > :54:16.bit warm. A little fracious. Something must have upset him. Ran

:54:16. > :54:20.a great race. He's more calm. A lot better. Obviously, here at

:54:20. > :54:25.Ascot, although it's a big stage, there is something about it, more

:54:25. > :54:33.room in the paddock and like you say, he looks a lot more settled.

:54:34. > :54:38.He went around the houses to get a run. Luca Cumani with me now. Start

:54:38. > :54:43.Right here. This has been the plan for some time? Yes. He's a nice

:54:43. > :54:50.progressive horse. The mile is the right trip. It's been the plan, but

:54:50. > :54:55.it's a bit of a lottery, as we know. He is drawn possibly on the wrong

:54:55. > :54:58.side, on the far side, so we are in the lap of the Gods as to what the

:54:59. > :55:03.others will do, whether they'll stay with him or drift. We don't

:55:03. > :55:08.know. We'll go with the flow. Kieron will make the decision in

:55:08. > :55:11.running. Yes. You must be relieved he's here today? Absolutely. He

:55:11. > :55:14.rode yesterday morning and cricked his neck, so he decided because he

:55:14. > :55:20.has many more rides here in the week, that he wanted to get the

:55:20. > :55:29.neck right first. If it's right, he'll be looking around. Let's hope

:55:29. > :55:33.so. This is the big handicap of the day. We have 28 runners facing the

:55:33. > :55:41.starter for the Royal Hunt Cup. Just before we see them, Claire's

:55:41. > :55:49.another interview. Ed Bourne, the trainer of Dance And Dance. He is

:55:49. > :55:53.progressive and run before. He has run at York and it was very good.

:55:53. > :55:57.Left ten lengths and made it up down straight, so definitely

:55:57. > :56:01.improflg, but I'm under no illusion -- improving, but I'm under no

:56:01. > :56:05.illusion it will be a tough race. You are drawn the right side, which

:56:05. > :56:09.is the stands? You wouldn't believe it when the draw came out. I

:56:09. > :56:14.thought what a disaster, but it's turned out in our favour. It seems

:56:14. > :56:18.to be so, so far. But until someone wins up the far rail. You haven't

:56:18. > :56:23.been training for that long. Exciting to be here? It feels a

:56:23. > :56:27.long time, but it's been great. We all strife for days like this and

:56:27. > :56:32.I'm privileged to have a horse good enough. In your beginning years

:56:32. > :56:37.were you getting advice from now knighted Sir Henry Cecil? He's

:56:37. > :56:42.always here in the background. He's a great man and great motivator too.

:56:42. > :56:49.When you are under the weather then he's great to put a positive spin.

:56:49. > :56:59.He's a big fan of yours. Good luck. Thank you. We'll check the runners

:56:59. > :56:59.

:56:59. > :58:11.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 71 seconds

:58:11. > :58:16.simple. It's a straight mile. The big question is whether they break

:58:16. > :58:20.into two groups or three. I would say two. There will be plenty on

:58:20. > :58:25.the right and plenty on the left. They come uphill and it's

:58:25. > :58:31.undulating on the course, as you know. It's a real climb to the line.

:58:31. > :58:38.A real test at the end of the mile. Probably have to get a mile-and-a-

:58:38. > :58:48.half a furlong to be able to win this. One of the toughest races of

:58:48. > :58:53.

:58:53. > :58:59.the week. Here's the latest betting: Gary? Start Right. I know

:58:59. > :59:03.you fancy the horse. Ran a blinder at Epsom. I'll give you one horse,

:59:03. > :59:09.it's been well backed. Chapter And Verse. William Hill laid 2,000

:59:09. > :59:18.each-way at 50-1. It's now 25-1. Well backed. What a race. I fancy a

:59:18. > :59:28.photo finish here. More on the Royal Hunt Cup in a moment, but a

:59:28. > :59:30.

:59:30. > :59:40.moment with Barry ma -- McGuigan. Having a good day? Having a great

:59:40. > :59:44.day. We have experienced a real day out. This is my first time out.

:59:44. > :59:52.have some inside info this day. the information was wrong in the

:59:52. > :59:57.last race, so there you go. It's an unpredictable sport, like boxing.

:59:57. > :00:04.Good time for boxing at the moment? I have just got my book out Cyclone,

:00:04. > :00:08.my story, which is doing well and I'm happy and David Haye coming up.

:00:08. > :00:18.Exciting times for boxing. Lovely to see you. Thank you very much.

:00:18. > :00:26.

:00:26. > :00:36.Rewilding. This is our joint favourite Start

:00:36. > :00:37.

:00:38. > :00:40.Right. I remember at Epsom when he finished third, you said, "Watch

:00:40. > :00:45.this horse." The draw made it awkward for him,

:00:45. > :00:50.and you loved how he ran there. finished third that day. He was

:00:50. > :00:57.drawn right on the outside. He had to cross over the whole racecourse

:00:57. > :01:02.and he came rattling home, just to be beaten. That was, to me, a very

:01:02. > :01:09.good trial for this race. Unfortunately the draw hasn't gone

:01:09. > :01:18.his way again. It has gone the way of Dance And Dance.

:01:18. > :01:22.He is 8-1, co-favourite. I said I fancied Dance And Dance. You said

:01:22. > :01:29.don't be stupid. This horse here, look at the knee action. Look at

:01:29. > :01:33.his knee action. He would need a lot more reign. I think the

:01:33. > :01:43.trainer.... Look at the knee action on him! He's coming up and down on

:01:43. > :01:43.

:01:43. > :01:52.to the ground hard. He's just snuck in at the bottom of the field. He

:01:52. > :02:01.carries eight stone three. It is barely a hand's span. 12Oupblss

:02:01. > :02:06.they weigh, those sad -- 12 oupblss they weigh, those -- ounces they

:02:06. > :02:10.weigh, those saddles. This is a huge field, because he's

:02:10. > :02:14.a French jockey he would never have riden in a race with more than 20

:02:14. > :02:19.runners. There are 30 of them in this. Will it make that much

:02:19. > :02:25.difference? As you have seen in the Derby, he had never ridden around

:02:25. > :02:29.Epsom before. He coped well enough around there. Especially with the

:02:29. > :02:32.draw being so controversial, where's the pace going to be, which

:02:32. > :02:38.side will they be on. He's experienced enough to know what

:02:38. > :02:42.he's doing here. You have found out earlier on what Ahern was writing

:02:42. > :02:47.on the side of that horse. He said he was working out his percentage.

:02:47. > :02:52.The jockeys in the changing room record he was trying to find the

:02:52. > :03:01.go-faster button. Needless to say he didn't find it.

:03:01. > :03:05.This is Bronze Prince. He has a light weigh, eight stone two.

:03:05. > :03:11.A couple of runs this season. Because he's lightly raced he could

:03:11. > :03:19.be anything at all. Just looks burley looking at him.

:03:19. > :03:29.He has a bit of a belly on him. He might be better for the run today.

:03:29. > :03:33.

:03:33. > :03:39.So, 15-2 for Dance And Dance and It's a good price. Just a great

:03:39. > :03:45.race. A lot of money each way. Most of the firms paying first five

:03:45. > :03:55.places. If you had a bet with the bookies on the high street. Make

:03:55. > :04:02.

:04:02. > :04:11.sure you go in if your horse is are four or five still left.

:04:11. > :04:16.Sooraah will be towards the left. There are only four more to go in

:04:16. > :04:20.for the big mile cavalry charge of the afternoon. Here's Jim.

:04:20. > :04:25.THE COMMENTATOR: 7-1, Dance And Dance. Looks like they have sorted

:04:25. > :04:30.out a favourite. That man is on a high, after that

:04:30. > :04:33.win in the Prince of Wales he could do anything. Don't count him out.

:04:33. > :04:39.Invisible Man - Frankie Dettori. They won it last year. They came

:04:39. > :04:46.from a long way back. He could do anything the way he's feeling at

:04:46. > :04:50.the moment. In those blue colours. He was on the far side last year.

:04:50. > :04:53.This year, he's on the near side. Of course they've changed the

:04:53. > :04:58.numbering around. One last year was on this side.

:04:58. > :05:04.It's on the far side now. There's Dance And Dance. He looked

:05:04. > :05:09.impressive at Epsom. Ryan Moore, he will be disappointed

:05:09. > :05:13.after beaten in that long odds-on favourite. Dance And Dance being

:05:13. > :05:19.pushed forward now. Others stand up well at the mile. The charge up the

:05:19. > :05:23.straight. And they are split into two groups,

:05:23. > :05:33.possibly three. Dance And Dance goes in.

:05:33. > :05:34.

:05:34. > :05:37.And the last one going forward is Breakheart. They are racing in the

:05:37. > :05:47.Royal Hunt Cup. In the near side it is Bronze

:05:47. > :05:48.

:05:48. > :05:58.Prince who is up there in the early stages. Going fast too is Mont Agel.

:05:58. > :05:59.

:05:59. > :06:02.The lead up is at this stage we see Hacienda. There's Lord Aeryn,

:06:02. > :06:10.crossing over to this near-side group.

:06:10. > :06:17.There are others coming over as well. Coming over Brae Hill and

:06:17. > :06:22.Kyllachy Star. Invincible Soul over there. Brick Red and Mont Agel.

:06:22. > :06:27.That quartet are separate from the others as they race up to halfway.

:06:27. > :06:32.We have two in the centre. On the near side as they race up to

:06:32. > :06:39.halfway, Bronze Prince still showing out there from Hacienda and

:06:39. > :06:44.Proponent. Julienas. They are followed by Capital Attraction.

:06:44. > :06:48.Lord Aeryn, further back is Point North. The quartet on the far side.

:06:48. > :06:51.They are battling away, as they race up towards the two furlong

:06:51. > :07:00.marker. Anybody's race here. On the near side Julienas is forcing

:07:00. > :07:06.through now. Eton Forever is there. Invincible

:07:06. > :07:11.Soul just be -- Invisible Man is there. Julienas in France. Dance

:07:11. > :07:15.And Dance coming at Julienas. Julienas punch odd ut. Julienas got

:07:15. > :07:21.there from Dance And Dance. In fourth then was Invisible Man,

:07:21. > :07:27.followed a long way behind by Eton Forever, Start Right and then

:07:27. > :07:37.making up ground Chapter And Verse, Sooraah on the far side.

:07:37. > :07:43.

:07:43. > :07:45.Ahern has won the Royal Hunt Cup, at 12-1. Let's see them cross the

:07:46. > :07:52.line. Dance And Dance has got second. Let's see them as they

:07:52. > :07:57.cross the line now. Julienas, though, the winner. Eddie

:07:57. > :08:07.Ahern, Dance And Dance Ryan Moore. Close third. It's a bobber. Oh,

:08:07. > :08:15.

:08:15. > :08:25.that is tight. Near side number two, Invisible Man, top of the screen

:08:25. > :08:36.

:08:36. > :08:46.on the near side Pintura. Bronze Prince, who showed a lot of

:08:46. > :08:57.

:08:57. > :09:07.pace. We have Gunner Lindley, Kay then Brae Hill. He was caught in

:09:07. > :09:08.

:09:08. > :09:13.the centre. Next is Brick Red, next is Lord Aeryn. Then Super Say and

:09:13. > :09:17.still, there's one more to say, a long way behind, I think it's

:09:17. > :09:23.Invincible Soul who was right out the back.

:09:23. > :09:31.The winner is Julienas. Julienas has won it.

:09:31. > :09:38.He's in the colours of Peter Harris. Who recently dispursed most of his

:09:38. > :09:46.blood stock, trained his biz son in law. He is Julienas -- by his son

:09:46. > :09:56.in law. He is Julienas. He stepped in for Fallon and got a

:09:56. > :09:57.

:09:57. > :10:05.winner. He has won the royal Hunt Cup. A first for trainer Walter

:10:05. > :10:09.Swinburn. He was the jockey of the horse Shergar 30 years ago. I there

:10:09. > :10:17.is a stewards' enquiry. Dance And Dance goes up the rail side of the

:10:17. > :10:22.winner and has to switch out and we will bring you that steward inquiry

:10:22. > :10:26.with sound as well. Eddie Ahern holding off the challenge. Julienas

:10:26. > :10:31.coming home in front in the Hunt Cup. It is such a difficult race

:10:31. > :10:38.for these horses, having at full stretch for such a long way. Eddie

:10:38. > :10:43.Ahern, I don't think he rides too often for Walter. He has rode his

:10:43. > :10:53.second winner here at Royal Ascot. He has given this horse a good ride.

:10:53. > :10:55.

:10:55. > :11:00.ohen the slow motion. Look at that front foot extension. Beautiful.

:11:00. > :11:05.The jockey going down and then punching his arm out. Pushing the

:11:05. > :11:09.horse's head forward. Saying, get your head down lower. Grab the

:11:09. > :11:15.ground. Trying to get the horse, here it is will be the interference

:11:15. > :11:25.why we're having a stewards' enquiry. There you are, Dance And

:11:25. > :11:26.

:11:26. > :11:32.Dance t blue colours, the winner in Ryan Moore thinks there a gap,

:11:32. > :11:36.which there is. It starts to close. He has to switch and come rounds.

:11:36. > :11:40.Interesting! The winning distance was a neck. He's definitely running

:11:41. > :11:47.on. He's given a bang to Eton Forever, as he comes out.

:11:47. > :11:53.Now, this is an interesting one for the stewards. Well, whether that

:11:53. > :12:00.gap was there, it has to be whether the gap was there when they closed

:12:00. > :12:03.or was he in it or behind it? That is the thing. Now... So they are

:12:03. > :12:07.looking at interference in the final furlong. Where did the

:12:07. > :12:11.incident take place in relation to the winning post in the final

:12:11. > :12:14.furlong. That makes it crucial. How were the horses involved going at

:12:14. > :12:17.the time of the incident? Well at the time of the incident Julienas

:12:17. > :12:23.was travelling very well in front. But Dance And Dance was just

:12:23. > :12:29.beginning to make his move. How serious was the interference? That

:12:29. > :12:32.from the side angle, when we first saw it is when Ryan Moore had to

:12:32. > :12:35.snatch back and come around. That is the question. The benefit of the

:12:35. > :12:41.doubt goes to the horse who finished in front. We will see

:12:41. > :12:46.whether Julienas keeps it. He was first-past-the-post.

:12:46. > :12:50.I would love to make an official congratulations, but I will hold

:12:50. > :12:55.off. I know Eddie Ahern has gone in for the stewards' enquiry. What did

:12:55. > :13:00.he say to you? He was more than happy. He said the horsepowered

:13:00. > :13:05.home and got home well. When he delivered his challenge, he pulled

:13:05. > :13:08.out more. We were well on top at the end. It is very rare for them

:13:08. > :13:15.to overturn a decision unless it is very close. I think the official

:13:15. > :13:20.margin was half a length. Is that correct? Half a length. Everyone

:13:20. > :13:25.could see our horse was well on top. He won the race on merit. I wasn't

:13:25. > :13:29.aware of anything that took place through the race. We are thrilled

:13:29. > :13:34.to bits. I was going to say about this horse, because he's still

:13:34. > :13:40.fairly lightly raced. You always thought he had a big handicap in

:13:40. > :13:46.him, or has he been slow to come to the boil? We would not train him at

:13:46. > :13:48.two. He was this size at two. Being given the time and bring him along

:13:48. > :13:52.and bring mental and physical development, he has filled that

:13:52. > :13:56.frame. We have gone at his pace. This is the reward. Obviously now

:13:56. > :14:01.you are training, having had so many great days here at this

:14:01. > :14:06.racecourse. What's the feeling like from this

:14:06. > :14:10.side of a potential winner here? Well, it's usually if you have

:14:10. > :14:15.riden a winner you are into the weighing room and getting ready for

:14:15. > :14:21.here, it's months of hard work and the staff at home and everyone has

:14:21. > :14:25.put a lot of effort in. I just said to someone earlier that I probably

:14:25. > :14:29.know mor about the thorough bred now than when I was riding. There

:14:29. > :14:33.are more good days than bad days. Fingers crossed for you. We are

:14:33. > :14:40.hearing it is a 20-1 on to keep the race. So people are backing you to

:14:40. > :14:45.keep it. I never back a winner. I won't back. Not that. Thank you.

:14:45. > :14:50.Now, let's have a look at this once again. Julienas n the yellow

:14:50. > :14:54.sleeves and cap, spotted sleeves, that's Ryan Moore. Yesterday you

:14:54. > :14:58.saw him in the stewards' room and he was on the defence. Today, he's

:14:58. > :15:06.the prosecution. He's got to convince them that there was

:15:06. > :15:10.interference. Mr Nunly will conduct the inquiry.

:15:10. > :15:14.Please sit down. The film is on a loop. If you look at the bottom

:15:14. > :15:21.right screen and top left. They give you the best view of what

:15:21. > :15:25.we're looking into. That is the steward making the

:15:25. > :15:32.point to the jockeys, who will give their evidence in a moment or two.

:15:32. > :15:39.And the steward s will make the decision. We'll listen to what the

:15:39. > :15:44.jockeys have to say. Spotted a gap on the rail. My horse was picking

:15:44. > :15:49.well and switching to go through there. As I've done there. Eddie's

:15:49. > :15:58.horse has shifted back left. I lost my momentum. Had to switch around

:15:58. > :16:02.him. What can you tell us? Well, from the start to finish I'm going

:16:02. > :16:07.along the rail. There prblly was a little bit of a gap there, which

:16:07. > :16:11.Ryan went for. My horse moved over to the left. I feel he is a good

:16:11. > :16:16.length clear. As you see, Ryan never pulled back. He went right

:16:16. > :16:21.across. You know what I mean? He never lost momentum by doing this.

:16:21. > :16:25.When he's come, my horse has gone again. As I said, Ryan went to go

:16:25. > :16:30.there. I moved maybe one step to the left. He, instead of coming

:16:30. > :16:37.back and around me, he just went a little bit across. So I felt that,

:16:37. > :16:43.you know what I mean? I'm a good length in front of him crossing and

:16:43. > :16:47.in that case give more to switch without having to take a pull-back.

:16:47. > :16:52.He switched across the heels. I feel he hasn't lost momentum.

:16:52. > :16:58.there anything you would like to say? I was going to go right. His

:16:58. > :17:03.horse shifted off the rail. That is why I switched back left.

:17:03. > :17:13.Lost momentum. Can I look at this top left one. I

:17:13. > :17:15.

:17:15. > :17:20.was only concentrating on this one. Eddie Ahern asking if he can watch

:17:20. > :17:26.the head-on again. He wants to see if what he was arguing was correct.

:17:26. > :17:29.Did Ryan Moore lose momentum? So the jockeys are dismissed. The

:17:29. > :17:35.stewards will deliberate. It is very, very likely that the winner

:17:35. > :17:39.will keep this, Julienas juel. Eddie Ahern doing a good job of

:17:39. > :17:42.defending himself. What do you think? Do you think the winner will

:17:42. > :17:45.keep it? I think on what we've seen from the film evidence and also

:17:45. > :17:50.from what we've heard from the jockeys, I think he will. There's

:17:50. > :17:54.no doubt about it. They are betting 20-1 on. That is pretty close to

:17:54. > :18:01.the odds. The correct odds here.

:18:01. > :18:06.We see Ryan Moore on the inside. If we just let it go, and we'll see

:18:06. > :18:11.Julienas in the yellow sleeves and cap. Ryan Moore, it's minimal. He

:18:11. > :18:16.has been there, he's been disappointed rather than hopelessly

:18:16. > :18:21.blocked or checked violently. I think Eddie Ahern was making that

:18:21. > :18:27.point quite well. I think it will be very, very

:18:27. > :18:30.doubtful if he loses the race. it been a photo-finish, a nose

:18:30. > :18:35.perhaps, then we could expect more of a chance.... Here is the result

:18:35. > :18:42.now. We will hear it now.

:18:42. > :18:47.The places remain. Indeed the placings remain unaltered. He can

:18:47. > :18:57.celebrate, having trained a winner for his father-in-law.

:18:57. > :19:02.Julienas wins the Royal Hunt Cup. Walter Swinburn.

:19:02. > :19:08.A very, very nervous wait. Eddie Ahern gets a pat on the back. He

:19:09. > :19:18.did a good job in the saddle and did a good job defending himself.

:19:19. > :19:30.

:19:30. > :19:35.He was very eloquent. suffered.

:19:35. > :19:40.Unbelievable! Don't forget if you did beat Eton Forever, if you

:19:40. > :19:44.played on the internet, most for the first four. Most of the high

:19:44. > :19:48.street bookies first five. You will get paid. It is important when you

:19:48. > :19:53.go into stewards' enquiries to have the arguments in your head?

:19:53. > :19:58.Sometimes you are guilty and then you still have to try and make a

:19:58. > :20:08.case for yourself. It is like any courtroom. You have to, you know,

:20:08. > :20:08.

:20:08. > :20:13.for two days. You have the right to appeal. Thank you very much. He has

:20:13. > :20:17.just been told he is guilty of careless riding. He'll get a two-

:20:17. > :20:23.day ban. Probably won't matter too much. He allowed his horse to drift

:20:23. > :20:27.slightly. He had to stick, what he has referred to is -- he had his

:20:27. > :20:32.stick to the wrong hand. He pulled it through to the correct hand too

:20:32. > :20:35.late. That is why the stewards are of the opinion that it's the

:20:35. > :20:40.smallest thing in the riding offence. He just allowed his horse

:20:40. > :20:45.to drift. And you're not supposed to do that. But, he's, he doesn't

:20:45. > :20:49.have wing mirrors. He couldn't see that Ryan Moore was trying to get

:20:49. > :20:53.through against the rail. He thought, most horses do prefer to

:20:53. > :20:57.be on the rail. Of course they go faster. When they get tired, they

:20:57. > :21:02.have something to lane on and it keeps them going better. That's the

:21:02. > :21:07.reason high he was allowing his horse to drift, because the rail

:21:07. > :21:11.there would help him get to the finish. Don't forget, all these

:21:11. > :21:15.horses are getting tired in the last furlong. They just ran their

:21:15. > :21:20.hearts out for a mile. A thrilling race to watch. We have one more

:21:20. > :21:25.live race to come. As the rain is holding off, the temperature cooler

:21:25. > :21:30.today. It gives us a chance to look at the fashion on the show. There

:21:30. > :21:35.was a very well dressed Catherine Jenkins earlier on the show. A

:21:35. > :21:39.terrific view from up here. We are watching trophies being presented.

:21:39. > :21:43.In terms of fashion today, people have risen to the challenge,

:21:43. > :21:47.haven't they? We have been spoilt. Of course I just think every lady

:21:47. > :21:54.has made a huge effort. They have dressed to the nines. Today I have

:21:54. > :22:04.been spoilt, that is for sure. has been a real treat to see some

:22:04. > :22:04.

:22:04. > :24:05.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 71 seconds

:24:05. > :24:12.Such a pretty gir that last one, wasn't she -- girl, that last one,

:24:12. > :24:18.wasn't she? Did you see how the hat went air-borne. It was priceless.

:24:18. > :24:21.We have seen a lot of block colours. Champagnes and neutrals. It is

:24:21. > :24:26.interesting what has come off the cat walk and seeing how it

:24:26. > :24:29.interprets over in Ascot. People have been very daring with colour.

:24:29. > :24:34.They have been very experimental. At the end of the day it is how you

:24:34. > :24:37.finish off a look and put it together. That is very important.

:24:38. > :24:42.would like to introduce Catherine Jenkins to you. You look amazing,

:24:42. > :24:52.as always. This is just a spectacular outfit.

:24:52. > :24:54.

:24:54. > :24:59.Can you talk us through it. This is a dress by Asdera Lia.

:24:59. > :25:03.It is a sharp hat, very ello gent. When you are an international

:25:03. > :25:07.performance, not only does your voice have to excel, but so does

:25:07. > :25:12.image. What is your point of inspiration. Where is your starting

:25:12. > :25:19.point? It is just always to try and stay true to how you feel about

:25:19. > :25:23.fashion. Try to be chic, feminine and elegant. Phillip does an

:25:23. > :25:29.amazing job. He tries to make you look your best. He is always the

:25:29. > :25:34.first person I go and see when I know I need a fabulous hat. You do

:25:34. > :25:44.carry it off well. I saw you when you walked into Ascot. You were

:25:44. > :25:46.

:25:46. > :25:52.like a ballerina. The thing is that Katherine can dance. You had a

:25:52. > :26:02.fabulous production. Darcey taught me a lot. I have good memories.

:26:02. > :26:02.

:26:02. > :26:09.have stepped off a flight from Washington. Pop star to Opera Star,

:26:09. > :26:12.how is that going Last night I sang in the library of Congress. I flew

:26:12. > :26:17.in this morning and got my dress and hat on, because I didn't want

:26:17. > :26:23.to miss it. Thank you. Eddie Ahern has the all-

:26:23. > :26:27.clear after that stewards' inquiry. Were you worried? No. I was not

:26:27. > :26:30.really sure where it happened. Ryan did have a do a bit of a check and

:26:30. > :26:35.come around me. When he came to me my horse went down a little bit

:26:35. > :26:41.more. As a result n the inquiry, you know the best horse won, so I

:26:41. > :26:45.kept the race. I got suspended for two days. Tell us how the race

:26:45. > :26:49.unfolded from the start. We were told this was a horse who has been

:26:49. > :26:53.taken time with. He has enjoyed the strong, very strong pace of today's

:26:53. > :26:58.race. That was the key point. Even though they were going quick,

:26:58. > :27:02.to me they were going a normal gallop. I was sitting in behind the

:27:02. > :27:07.leaders. He was travelling very well. He's such a big horse. I can

:27:07. > :27:12.see why Walter had to take his time on him. He covers the ground so

:27:12. > :27:18.easy. He travelled well for me. A nice gap. When I asked him to pick

:27:18. > :27:24.up, he did. Then I felt until Ryan came to me again and off he went

:27:24. > :27:28.again. Do you think he pulled out more. Do you think he had more in

:27:28. > :27:33.the tank? He felt good. When Ryan did come to me.

:27:33. > :27:40.Second winner of the week. Going well? I've no more rides today now.

:27:40. > :27:46.I wonder can I wear the leading band to Kempton with me. At least

:27:46. > :27:56.you will not get mistaken for Kieran Fallon, like you did

:27:56. > :28:29.

:28:29. > :28:34.yesterday. He had a big race today have been on it, Kieran Fallon.

:28:34. > :28:39.Explain what happened to you yesterday on the gap lols?

:28:39. > :28:44.Cantering down on the -- gallops. Cantering down. He put his head

:28:44. > :28:48.back. Trying to avoid his head in my face, I'd done my neck. I had to

:28:48. > :28:53.get physio. I was already when I was riding him. As I was on the way

:28:53. > :29:03.home it started to freeze on me. And you still do get problems. You

:29:03. > :29:03.

:29:03. > :29:07.had a horrible fall, how many years such a horrific fall. It is the

:29:07. > :29:12.only injury I've had. If a horse whips around and does anything

:29:12. > :29:15.quick. It will be tight. It has been a season for you, things have

:29:16. > :29:19.started to get going and then stopped again. It has been

:29:19. > :29:24.frusttraitding. You were on the news for Derby -- frustrating. You

:29:24. > :29:29.were on the news for Derby day. How did you find out about it? It is a

:29:29. > :29:33.long story. I don't want to go into it. I am friendly with the owners.

:29:33. > :29:38.Everything is cool again. They did say if I could ride the horse again,

:29:38. > :29:45.they would love to have me. If Johnny is available he will ride it

:29:45. > :29:53.in the Irish Derby. This is the owners of Native Khan. You signed a

:29:53. > :29:56.piece of paper. Was supposed to ride the horse. As it got hereer

:29:57. > :30:01.the -- nearer the race I felt he would not come down the horse and

:30:01. > :30:04.act and I felt the other horse would. That is one of those things.

:30:04. > :30:08.Slightly unfortunate for you and when you are trying to get back on

:30:08. > :30:18.track, get people offering you rides and start to ride the good

:30:18. > :30:20.

:30:20. > :30:30.horses again. You are obviously again. I thought she was going to

:30:30. > :30:32.

:30:32. > :30:38.be a winning ride. The horse in the first race went lame. If I had

:30:38. > :30:41.drawn up higher on Start Right. He ran a good race considering

:30:41. > :30:46.everything that happened. We were drawn high and it made a big

:30:46. > :30:50.difference today. Are you still enjoying it? Are you

:30:50. > :30:54.still motivated? Do you still want to be champion jockey again? When

:30:54. > :31:01.you have the smaller meetings and you look at the prize money, 1600

:31:01. > :31:07.and that and the tracks are putting on these races for you know know

:31:07. > :31:12.1900, we can't make a living doing that. You spend 2,000 a month on

:31:12. > :31:16.petrol taking all your wages, it is it is not a lot left.

:31:16. > :31:20.How long would you give yourself and to keep and get back to where

:31:20. > :31:26.you want to be? I mean, isle' fit and I'm well and I'm enjoying the

:31:26. > :31:29.game, but you don't have any motivations. I'm going to Kempton

:31:29. > :31:32.for the boss, other than that I wouldn't be going there. You look

:31:32. > :31:36.at the prize money and it is not worth going for.

:31:36. > :31:40.You have four rides tonne and you have another one to come today?

:31:40. > :31:47.These meetings, the Royal Ascot, the Guineas meeting, they are the

:31:47. > :31:50.big money races and if you are not winning them, you know, the during

:31:50. > :31:56.the week races are not worth running anymore.

:31:56. > :32:02.Masses of people still support you. If people know Kieren Fallon is in

:32:02. > :32:11.the saddle they will bet for you. have a mown on Saturday. -- mount

:32:11. > :32:16.on Saturday. I love this horse. He has got a chance. I know we have

:32:16. > :32:20.got Fame and Glory to beat. A lot of us are in the same boat. It

:32:20. > :32:24.could be a surprise. Kieron, thank you.

:32:24. > :32:30.Thanks, Clare. The next race is the Queen Mary

:32:30. > :32:36.Stakes. It is the last race of the day at Royal Ascot. Willie, a

:32:36. > :32:44.couple of exciting fillies. Shumoos was impressive in her first ever

:32:44. > :32:48.run? Yes. It isted way she did it. How does she look today? She is a

:32:48. > :32:52.compact little filly. She is not striking, but she is strong. She is

:32:52. > :32:57.not very big. She is not big height or length?

:32:57. > :33:02.But she is well put together and strong? She is. The way she did it

:33:02. > :33:06.at Haydock. What I liked about her that day was her stroke, you know,

:33:06. > :33:11.the way she moved, she really grabbed the ground and put all her

:33:11. > :33:19.energy into propelling herself forward, but also there was another

:33:19. > :33:23.one in the race... I know you want to talk talk about the American

:33:23. > :33:28.trained runner, Gypsy Robin. You like the way she looked, Willie.

:33:28. > :33:32.This Is a much more mature animal. She looks way in front of the other

:33:32. > :33:39.horses in this race and in fact, you would nearly say she is getting

:33:39. > :33:42.on to look - she is not a three- year-old, but she is so much more

:33:42. > :33:47.forward in development than most of the other horses in the paddock.

:33:47. > :33:50.Interestingly enough, the favourite Shumoos is three months older than

:33:50. > :33:54.Gypsy Robin. I don't know if you think that's a significant amount

:33:54. > :34:01.at this stage? I have seen horses going to Doncaster at the end of

:34:01. > :34:10.March and being born in May and winning that first two-year-old

:34:10. > :34:20.race. No, I don't think, I don't worry about the date of of birth.

:34:20. > :34:20.

:34:20. > :35:20.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 71 seconds

:35:20. > :35:26.Shumoos was impressive on her her five furlongs and once again, it is

:35:26. > :35:30.up the strait. They jump away and a field of 14 here. I think once

:35:30. > :35:34.again they will group up and they will are are left to centre as we

:35:34. > :35:38.look at them now. The final furlong and we will see which fillies have

:35:38. > :35:48.got the grit and determination to get home at the end of the Queen

:35:48. > :35:52.

:35:52. > :36:02.favourite here for the Queen Mary, Shumoos.

:36:02. > :36:05.

:36:05. > :36:09.It is 11-1 for Dozy. 40,000, the Irish bookmakers they

:36:09. > :36:14.have 40,000. But the punters have got to back a winner soon. They are

:36:14. > :36:19.running out of money, John! This is their last chance of the way. On

:36:19. > :36:23.this race, honestly and truly, they are latching on to the favourite. I

:36:23. > :36:28.think he could be short, John, really do.

:36:28. > :36:35.And we will see why Shumoos is favourite. There she is. She is

:36:35. > :36:39.ridden by Martin Dwyer. Shane Kelly was on board in the race you are

:36:39. > :36:44.about to see. Kevin, Martin's biggest problem

:36:44. > :36:48.will be having a seat belt fitted when she goes, this filly takes off,

:36:48. > :36:53.doesn't she? This is five furlongs. For a filly to pick it up inside

:36:53. > :36:56.the last furlong the way she did, she put a lot of daylight between

:36:56. > :37:00.her and the last horse. She looks impressive.

:37:00. > :37:05.She won that by four-and-a-half lengths. The horse she beat was a

:37:05. > :37:12.winner yesterday. That proved that was a good race. As Gary says, 5-4

:37:12. > :37:18.chance is very short indeed. Now here is number 7, Fire Lily,

:37:18. > :37:26.Ryan Moore riding this in familiar colours, but it is David Watchman.

:37:26. > :37:30.That's right. This filly won a maiden at Navan and she ran

:37:30. > :37:34.credible and she is back amongst the fillies today. I expect a big

:37:34. > :37:42.run from her. She is a short coupled filly and one that will

:37:42. > :37:46.show a lot of speed. Number 5, the the orange and blue

:37:46. > :37:52.colours is called Dozy. You would expect perhaps that with a name

:37:52. > :37:58.like that she may not be fast, but she is fast? Yes, she won both her

:37:58. > :38:02.starts. She beat Vocational last time. A descent, a trappy little

:38:03. > :38:12.race and it is a good trial for this racement you can see she is a

:38:13. > :38:16.

:38:16. > :38:23.really sure coupled filly. Phil Makin in the saddle.

:38:23. > :38:27.This is another filly from Richard Hannon's stable. Richard Hughes is

:38:27. > :38:29.on board. Although it was a fair race at Newbury in terms of quality,

:38:29. > :38:33.there was only three of them in the race.

:38:33. > :38:37.It is hard to evaluate that form. You can see Richard Hughes, he has

:38:37. > :38:42.got his feet out of irons and she is very small this filly. Richard's

:38:42. > :38:46.feet are nearly touching the ground. She is a tiny filly, but she has

:38:46. > :38:53.got a lot of speed. It will be interesting to see how she runs

:38:53. > :38:59.against these better fillies. Here is Somasach. She had one run

:38:59. > :39:05.so far which was at Tipperary. It was interesting that they decided

:39:05. > :39:08.to bring a filly over here for a big race. But Jim must think she is

:39:08. > :39:12.useful. A short coupled filly. You can see

:39:12. > :39:17.the difference looking at these fillies. They are short coupled.

:39:17. > :39:23.They are speedily bred. Short coupled means there is not

:39:23. > :39:32.long between front and back? That's right. A bit longer in the back.

:39:32. > :39:38.The speedy horses are short coupled this filly, Gypsy Robin goes.

:39:38. > :39:43.Wesley Ward has Every Day Dave and the one he really fancies is Julie

:39:43. > :39:47.the beauty another filly on Friday. Gypsy Robin looks stronger than

:39:47. > :39:52.everything else. Much more that ture she is, yes.

:39:52. > :40:02.-- mature, she is. Let's see what price you can get

:40:02. > :40:10.

:40:10. > :40:15.mown on Shumoos. You see the way he pulled those goggles out there. He

:40:15. > :40:25.kept them away from any rain going down and he wants to put them on

:40:25. > :40:30.

:40:30. > :40:35.now and to ensure that no droplets get on there.

:40:35. > :40:39.On The Dark Side to go forward. Kevin Ryan the trainer. He has got

:40:39. > :40:47.some good two-year-olds this year, Kevin. Vocational going forward on

:40:47. > :40:52.the far side. The last two going forward now. Charlotte Rosina, John

:40:52. > :40:56.Fahy and Ruby's Day the last one to go in and then they will be set and

:40:56. > :41:04.ready to go now. Five furlongs for the Queen Mary. Stand by, they are

:41:04. > :41:07.ready. Racing. On the near side On The Dark Side, and thence Gypsy

:41:07. > :41:11.Robin. Just behind them are Charlotte Rosina on the inside

:41:11. > :41:15.there are Fire Lily and just preceding them Best Terms up in

:41:15. > :41:21.third from Bubbly Ballerina. Further back in the centre of the

:41:21. > :41:28.field, Kohala and followed by Ruby's Day. Vocational is next.

:41:28. > :41:34.Somasach going forward in the white jacket. Further back is doze is

:41:34. > :41:42.Dozy, but going fast here. Gypsy Robin gets her neck in front now on

:41:42. > :41:46.the the on -- On The Dark Side. Sheer is Shumoos followed by

:41:46. > :41:52.Vocational. A furlong left to go now and out in the centre it is

:41:52. > :41:58.Shumoos and terms Best Terms terms. It is Shumoos. Shumoos gets her

:41:58. > :42:05.nose in front. Flying home is Caledonia Lady. They hit the line.

:42:05. > :42:11.It is terms maybe -- Best Terms followed by Caledonia Lady. Then

:42:11. > :42:16.Kohala and further back is Fire Lily from Gypsy Robin and then

:42:16. > :42:21.Ruby's Day. Last to finish is Bubbly Ballerina. But let's have a

:42:21. > :42:28.look at it. We want to have a look. Let's have a look at the screen to

:42:28. > :42:32.see if they have got up there, yes they have in the centre. Best Terms,

:42:32. > :42:37.that's unofficial, but it looks on the evidence of that, that Best

:42:37. > :42:41.Terms has won it by a nose to a short head from Shumoos the far

:42:41. > :42:47.side. Near-side Caledonia Lady. It is coming through officially.

:42:47. > :42:51.Fourth is Fire Lily then Kohala who ran a big race and then Ruby's Day

:42:51. > :42:56.and first number one there, is official. First number one, Best

:42:56. > :43:00.Terms. Second number 12, Shumoos. Third, number 3, Caledonia Lady who

:43:00. > :43:04.came home with a withering run. Fourth, number 7, Fire Lily. Let's

:43:04. > :43:10.have a look at them again. In the centre, it is Best Terms who just

:43:10. > :43:16.puts her nose in front and gets it from Shumoos the far side. Near

:43:16. > :43:21.side Caledonia Lady in third. In fourth is Fire Lily. In fifth,

:43:21. > :43:26.Kohala just ahead of Ruby's Day and then the American, Gypsy Robin. She

:43:26. > :43:28.is fast, she is for sure, Vocational is next. Followed by On

:43:28. > :43:35.The Dark Side who matched the American for speed early and they

:43:35. > :43:39.were clear then of Somasach and then Charlotte Rosina, Dozy on the

:43:39. > :43:46.near side and Ebony Clarets and then Bubbly Ballerina who was the

:43:46. > :43:52.last to finish. But these famous colours. They were carried by Time

:43:52. > :44:02.Charter to win the Oaks and many, many other good fillies Arother

:44:02. > :44:05.

:44:05. > :44:15.good -- and other good racehorses. Best Terms has won it and the time

:44:15. > :44:19.

:44:19. > :44:25.Royal Ascot winner in 1989 it was in this race. This filly, Best

:44:25. > :44:30.Terms, adds to that record. Another terrific Royal Ascot for

:44:30. > :44:35.Richard Hannon. A filly who has battled hard today? She was a

:44:35. > :44:40.descent filly and she wasn't born until 19th May, but she is quick.

:44:40. > :44:43.Tell us about your thoughts in the closing stages.

:44:43. > :44:47.I thought Caledonia Lady was was going to catch her.

:44:47. > :44:51.She has got a great attitude? Unbelievable really. Well, she is

:44:51. > :45:01.unbeaten. You have got to go and greet her.

:45:01. > :45:03.

:45:03. > :45:10.good meeting. Have a look at how far Caledonia Lady comes from and

:45:10. > :45:14.how far she finishes. She was 100 to 1 shot and finished really well.

:45:14. > :45:18.Pat Murphy had a winner at Warwick and I believe he might have had

:45:18. > :45:22.another two-year-old that ran well, but he is a trainer not really

:45:22. > :45:27.known for two-year-olds. He is normally got, you know, national

:45:27. > :45:33.hunt types and long distance horses, but this year, he seems to have a

:45:33. > :45:38.real good bunch of two-year-olds. The filly flew.

:45:38. > :45:42.Shumoos had every chance. Darl would have won in another two

:45:42. > :45:50.or three strides. Did you think Shumoos had every

:45:50. > :45:54.chance? Wasn't quite good enough. Richard was down low. There you go.

:45:54. > :45:58.They were sure of the photo finish result, weren't they?

:45:58. > :46:02.I think they were, yeah. You know in fact, Richard Hughes gets her

:46:02. > :46:06.head in front and she just always holds off the challenges. She is

:46:06. > :46:10.seeing them and saying, "Right, I will match you and I will just

:46:10. > :46:19.better you.". And who was the youngest horse in the whole race?

:46:19. > :46:25.She was a May foal. She is four months younger than some of them.

:46:25. > :46:35.So the date of birth doesn't matter. We have a few favourites beaten,

:46:35. > :46:35.

:46:35. > :46:40.Shumoos being one of thenl. -- them and Codemaster in the first.

:46:40. > :46:46.A 5-1 double today for Richard Hughes. It takes him to the top of

:46:46. > :46:53.the leaderboard for Royal Ascot, day two. He had Canford Cliffs on

:46:53. > :47:01.the first day and he leads Eddie Ahern who has got two winners. That

:47:01. > :47:07.jubilant scene here as this filly, who is pretty well bred, she is

:47:07. > :47:17.acselled and is a brilliant sprinter from Australia. She is a

:47:17. > :47:23.

:47:23. > :47:27.half-sister to a few winners. The dam was a half-sister to a well-

:47:28. > :47:32.known horse. There she is, you have got a good look at her. Caledonia

:47:32. > :47:35.Lady was in a blanket finish at Leicester trying to win her first

:47:35. > :47:40.race there. She was in another blanket here and almost got up and

:47:40. > :47:45.what a shock that would have been. She has run a fantastic race for

:47:45. > :47:55.Pat Murphy. Anyway as pictures are taken, let's have a look now at the

:47:55. > :48:03.

:48:03. > :48:09.full details on the Queen Mary horrible bookies! We said yesterday

:48:09. > :48:16.about who is going to be top jockey. Ryan Moore was odds on. Now they

:48:16. > :48:21.are going even money Richard Hughes. I said what price the others? He

:48:21. > :48:26.said only two could win. A jockey could ride three winners tomorrow

:48:26. > :48:35.and be top of the tree.. Richard Hughes has got a good chance

:48:36. > :48:40.tomorrow. Button. As As soon as we come off

:48:40. > :48:44.air, we will resume on the Red Button, but celebrating the success

:48:44. > :48:48.here of Best Terms. There is no doubt Richard Hannon has a really

:48:48. > :48:51.special touch with two-year-olds, but the man on board deserves

:48:51. > :48:57.credit as well. Let's hear from Richard Hughes now.

:48:57. > :49:03.The second win of the day. Richard fantastic performance from a filly

:49:03. > :49:06.who has shown a terrific attitude today? Ah, she is a little

:49:06. > :49:10.superstar. She didn't give me a good ride and I thought she was a

:49:10. > :49:13.little fast two-year-old. We worked her and she worked really well. I

:49:13. > :49:19.said to the owner, I couldn't believe the way she walked around

:49:19. > :49:24.the ring today like an old chaser and I had to give her two slaps to

:49:24. > :49:29.get her to cantor off. Usually you are trying to hold them back.

:49:29. > :49:35.She went a tremendous gallop. American filly, they are great to

:49:35. > :49:44.have in the race at the same time, but I jumped awkward and it took me

:49:44. > :49:48.100 yards to get my balance. We were toying with the idea of the

:49:48. > :49:54.with Albany. Richard, it is turning into another

:49:54. > :49:59.terrific terrific Royal Ascot? is tiny. I felt like a big octopus

:49:59. > :50:07.on her. She is small, but I'm too big on her.

:50:07. > :50:13.winners on the board. Takes back that golden arm band. Eddie Ahern,

:50:13. > :50:18.two of them, one yesterday and one today. Ryan Moore With one. Tom

:50:18. > :50:21.Queally with the one winner and that was Frankel. It is going to be

:50:21. > :50:24.a tussle between Richard Hughes and Ryan Moore. It will go down to the

:50:24. > :50:28.last race on Saturday. Jts it is getting -- it is getting

:50:28. > :50:33.the same way this year because the same jockeys seem to be getting

:50:33. > :50:34.involved in the finishes. Richard Hughes with the Hannon combination.

:50:34. > :50:39.Two-year-old races, they are always there.

:50:39. > :50:44.We will be giving Frankie Dettori a big chance if he wasn't suspended

:50:44. > :50:48.for the two days. He got that suspension because he

:50:48. > :50:58.dropped his hands. He admitted it was his fault. He has been the hero

:50:58. > :50:59.

:50:59. > :51:03.of the hour today on reRewilding. Let's get a final word of the day

:51:03. > :51:06.from Suzie. E-everyone here rushing off for

:51:06. > :51:09.afternoon tea after the fantastic day's racing. Some extraordinary

:51:09. > :51:18.races. I love the fact that everyone is

:51:18. > :51:28.walking down here. In the Edwardian days the elite used to walk the

:51:28. > :51:30.

:51:30. > :51:37.promenade. Let's look at Louis' favourite hat of the day.

:51:37. > :51:42.It is a very tight weave of a straw. It is finished off with that lovely

:51:42. > :51:48.veiling, but it is the way she put the whole thing together. She was

:51:48. > :51:52.my little Audrey Hepburn. carried it off very well. Very

:51:52. > :51:56.confident. Tomorrow, of course, it is Ladies Day. So we are excited

:51:56. > :52:02.about what we are going to see tomorrow. Lots More super fashion

:52:02. > :52:09.and some fabulous hats. It is Gold Cup Day tomorrow.

:52:09. > :52:15.Frankie Dettori spoiling the So You Think party. There will be

:52:15. > :52:19.reverberations down to Australia. Frankie Dettori was flying often to

:52:19. > :52:24.the Winner's Enclosure and the Godolphin team were celebrating.

:52:24. > :52:29.One more race to come. It is on the Red Button and could Richard Hughes

:52:29. > :52:34.ride a hat trick for the day? He is pulling on the Queen's colours. Hum

:52:34. > :52:39.Drum is the horse. If you want to follow that and want to sta wuss, -

:52:39. > :52:43.- stay with us, press the Red Button. There is Richard Hughes.

:52:43. > :52:48.Your highlight of the day, Willie? It has to be the Prince of Wales

:52:48. > :52:57.Stakes. What a great funnish -- finish. We had a big battle today

:52:57. > :53:00.and of course, the favourite, the horse that was predicted to be the

:53:00. > :53:06.best at Royal Ascot, but he got pipped by Frankie.

:53:06. > :53:15.Tomorrow, we will be on air at 1.45pm on BBC One and then
