:00:42. > :00:52.COMMENTATOR: Canford Cliffs. His neck is in front now. Canford

:00:52. > :01:03.

:01:03. > :01:11.Cliffs goes on to win from inside the final furlong. And star

:01:11. > :01:13.Witness down the outside. Prohibit Witness down the outside. Prohibit

:01:13. > :01:19.has gone to win. We have had a great start to the

:01:19. > :01:25.first day of Royal Ascot 2011 a win for Canford Cliffs against

:01:25. > :01:28.Goldikova in the Queen Anne Stakes and a win for Britain, Star Witness

:01:28. > :01:32.in the Kings Stand. Eight different countries in that

:01:32. > :01:37.race. The only thing we can say is that

:01:37. > :01:45.we did beat them, but I think we might not beat them next year!

:01:45. > :01:48.Or indeed on Saturday. Star Witness could appear again? Yes.

:01:48. > :01:55.I don't think he had a hard race. It was interesting he came out of

:01:55. > :02:00.the stalls side ways and got a big bump from the horse next to him.

:02:00. > :02:06.Stephen Arnold let him get into his stride. He did that windmill thing.

:02:06. > :02:11.He was just riding him hands and heels type and I thought if he gave

:02:11. > :02:15.him a few more whacks he might have got up there. But in the back of

:02:16. > :02:20.the mind it has got to be, "We are coming back on Saturday.". So he

:02:20. > :02:23.was riding in two types of races, looking after the horse because he

:02:23. > :02:29.knows he will run on Saturday. How good is it for Prohibit. This

:02:29. > :02:34.is a great, great moment. He carries his head high. Look at that

:02:34. > :02:41.stride. Look at the chest on him. This horse was a horse that

:02:41. > :02:51.finished second a lot in his early young days and they have what's the

:02:51. > :02:53.

:02:53. > :02:57.word for it rejuvenated. It has done him. Bob Carroll has done a

:02:57. > :03:00.great job with this horse. He says he runs him a lot. If he keeps

:03:00. > :03:05.getting results like this, he will keep running him more.

:03:05. > :03:15.It was Great Britain first with Roe hibt and Australia with Star

:03:15. > :03:16.

:03:16. > :03:18.Witness and Hungary fourth with Overdose. The presentation being

:03:18. > :03:25.made by Julian Fellowes, but the man man

:03:25. > :03:34.responsible for Downtonne Abbey and the owners of Prohibit.

:03:34. > :03:39.Mrs Penny was a good horse. She was.

:03:40. > :03:45.Julian Fellowes there. We will try and get a word with him later or in

:03:45. > :03:51.a moment or too as it were. Let's get more fashion with Suzie.

:03:51. > :03:56.Thanks, Clare. Watching Lord Fellowes present that trophy. I was

:03:56. > :04:02.saying how dapper the men look, don't they, in their top hat and

:04:03. > :04:07.tails? I love the look. It is like we are in a time travelling moment.

:04:07. > :04:13.This is a beautiful hat that this girl is wearing. Hello there. It is

:04:13. > :04:15.Lisa. Hi Lisa, is that a Stephen Jones hat? It is.

:04:16. > :04:20.The outfit, where is that from? Armani.

:04:20. > :04:23.Is it the first time at Ascot? beautiful. Nice weather. We are

:04:23. > :04:27.lucky today. Have you been backing any horses?

:04:27. > :04:30.Not yet. Well, your outfit is a winner.

:04:30. > :04:36.Thank you. She looks really beautiful. Very

:04:36. > :04:45.plain with a little bit of pink. Hello sir. How are you today?

:04:45. > :04:50.fine. I am following the wonderful Lisa. Let's see if we can get her

:04:50. > :04:55.off the phone and have a little chat. That's a stunning dress.

:04:55. > :05:00.Thank you. I am so embarrassed. Now, you are being described as the

:05:00. > :05:08.perfect woman. Would you like to tell us what you are wearing?

:05:09. > :05:11.bought this in Vegas from Neman Marcus and my hat is made by by

:05:11. > :05:17.Dada so there. Well, you look very beautiful.

:05:17. > :05:20.Thank you for stopping. I love your your phone matches your

:05:20. > :05:25.dress and your jewels. You have got it all going on.

:05:25. > :05:30.I love the bling. We can see that. There is serious

:05:30. > :05:32.jewellery going on there. jewellery going on there.

:05:32. > :05:37.Oh, look at that wonderful hat. We are talking about the silver,

:05:37. > :05:44.that's an extraordinary piece. The lady on her right-hand side that's

:05:45. > :05:50.wearing a pink, raw silk with a black hat, she looks very smart.

:05:50. > :05:56.Very chic. Beautifully co-ordinated. Can we spin the camera over there?

:05:56. > :06:02.A lady with an unusual turquoise outfit with a turban. Yes, turbans

:06:02. > :06:12.were all over Prada about a year ago. We are seeing some very

:06:12. > :06:13.

:06:13. > :06:16.unusual and some rather beautiful Well, we have seen the presentation.

:06:16. > :06:19.An exhilarating ride for you, Jim, the way the race panned out. They

:06:19. > :06:23.the way the race panned out. They seemed to go a hell of a gallop?

:06:24. > :06:27.Yes, you knew that's what they were going to do. This horse is clearly

:06:27. > :06:32.improving all the time and he broke really well from the stalls today.

:06:32. > :06:35.The last two times I have ridden him he has been slow and in France

:06:35. > :06:39.he ran a great race and laboured under pressure, but he was a

:06:39. > :06:43.different horse today. Why do you think that was? You tell

:06:43. > :06:49.me, I don't know! He ran four times now in four weeks or something like

:06:49. > :06:53.that and so he clearly loves his racing and he is improving,

:06:53. > :06:56.thriving on it. We are concerned with the rain coming. I always

:06:56. > :06:59.thought he was better with quicker ground. The ground is perfect.

:07:00. > :07:04.At what point did you think you would pick up the front-runners?

:07:04. > :07:08.Probably a furlong-and-a-half out. I travelled very well and like I

:07:08. > :07:13.say I wanted to to try and come between horses and it worked out

:07:13. > :07:16.well because I wasn't too crowded, but I could get a run at the same

:07:16. > :07:19.time and to be fair to the horse when he hit the front, I hardly

:07:19. > :07:23.needed to use my stick, he picked up by himself.

:07:23. > :07:28.Jim, you are someone who had a go over hurdles and fences in your

:07:28. > :07:33.time and winning a group one at Royal Ascot must be a special

:07:33. > :07:40.moment? It is. It is my first winner here as well and I was born

:07:40. > :07:44.locally at the hospital across the road. It was nice to have a winner

:07:44. > :07:47.here. It has been a lucky track. The floodgates open now, don't

:07:47. > :07:55.they? Jim, well done today.

:07:55. > :08:00.Tom Queally will get his first ride of the afternoon when he is legged

:08:01. > :08:05.up on Frankel. He is odds on favourite to win the St James'

:08:05. > :08:08.Palace Stakes. Tom looking relaxed there. I hope

:08:08. > :08:14.they have the same expression after the race.

:08:14. > :08:18.And there is the horse in question. The best horse in the whole wide

:08:18. > :08:20.world on ratings, what a hunk of muscle. A beautiful, beautiful

:08:20. > :08:29.racehorse. Do you want to find out more about

:08:29. > :08:34.Speed. He is exceptional.

:08:34. > :08:34.He has got bundles of class. He is definitely out of the

:08:34. > :08:37.ordinary. Brailleant.

:08:37. > :08:41.. He is getting better and better and better.

:08:41. > :08:48.In a flat season, it is the frequentish performances of Frankel

:08:48. > :08:53.that have shown brightest of all. He fulfilled the heavyweight of

:08:53. > :08:58.expectation when he was named by his owner in tribute to American

:08:58. > :09:01.hall of fame trainer, Bobby Frankel who died in 2009.

:09:01. > :09:05.who died in 2009. I knew him pretty well. He was a

:09:05. > :09:13.nice person. Tough and very professional. It is marvellous how

:09:13. > :09:17.they pick the horse out amongst him maybe among 200 and named him

:09:17. > :09:24.Frankel because at that time you are guessing a little bit, aren't

:09:24. > :09:28.you? I think he was an outstanding one, but to pick him out to be

:09:28. > :09:32.Frankel and name him Frankel was something. People say he is a

:09:32. > :09:37.monster of a horse. He is not really. He is a medium sized horse.

:09:37. > :09:43.He is different in a lot of horses. In a lot of ways. He has this

:09:43. > :09:47.extraordinary stride really. When he lengthens, he just completely

:09:47. > :09:52.kills any horse in the matter of a stride.

:09:52. > :09:57.That combination of of speed and power was shown to spectacular

:09:57. > :10:00.effect in the 2,000 guineas. A race his jockey has been anticipating

:10:00. > :10:05.all winter. I went on a skiing holiday and I

:10:05. > :10:09.was just thinking of him coming down the slopes. I didn't want to

:10:09. > :10:14.topple over and get injured. The best thing was to forget the

:10:14. > :10:24.field existed at all. Just jump off, let him relax and gallop and that's

:10:24. > :10:28.what he did. I looked half-way and I thought I

:10:28. > :10:34.might be a few years. COMMENTATOR: He is 15 lengths clear.

:10:34. > :10:38.Incredible. It was the most brutal destruction of a classic field you

:10:38. > :10:42.will ever see. COMMENTATOR: Frankel has detroid

:10:42. > :10:45.them from half-way. I have never seen people laughing

:10:45. > :10:49.and applauding with a furlong-and- a-half to go.

:10:49. > :10:52.COMMENTATOR: Frankel has won it well.

:10:52. > :10:57.It was one of those moments that you you could scarcely believe.

:10:57. > :11:01.There were trainers shaking their heads in wonder at it. I often

:11:01. > :11:07.compare him to a really big fast car. Suddenly, you look at the

:11:07. > :11:11.speed you are doing and the same with him. He is the equine Mike

:11:11. > :11:15.Tyson. It is brute strength. He runs over as soon as the bell goes

:11:15. > :11:19.and knocks the opponent on to the canvas and that's it, the lights go

:11:19. > :11:22.out. He has got that turbo and he keeps

:11:22. > :11:28.going. It is a feeling I never got from any other horse.

:11:28. > :11:31.People think he has galloped himself into the ground. He hadn't.

:11:31. > :11:36.Newmarket is a very difficult course. It is a long, straight

:11:36. > :11:43.gruelling course and to be in front as long as he was, you get bored.

:11:43. > :11:49.He wasn't at all tired after T it was incredible really. I am not

:11:49. > :11:54.sure I'm going to ride anything like that again. I don't want to

:11:54. > :12:01.nor does the Prince. To experience training a horse like

:12:01. > :12:05.him actually. It is like an encyclopaedia of

:12:05. > :12:09.great horses. If he thinks this is one of the best, we are talking

:12:09. > :12:15.about a great. I have been lucky, I have had

:12:15. > :12:17.marvellous horses through my my hands. He is very different. There

:12:17. > :12:25.is something extraordinary about him. I don't know what it is.

:12:25. > :12:31.Everything, I think. Tom queelly Tom Tom Queally will be

:12:31. > :12:35.leaving this position. Barry Hills there, who trains Rerouted, his son

:12:35. > :12:42.Michael on board, there really to ensure the pace is strong enough

:12:42. > :12:47.for Frankel so they can car out the tactics -- carry out the tactics

:12:47. > :12:49.and use his burst of speed to come through in the end. There is

:12:49. > :12:54.through in the end. There is Frankel.

:12:54. > :12:57.Willie, I was impressed when I went to Newmarket. This horse is very

:12:57. > :13:01.relaxed at home. He is virtually yawning.

:13:01. > :13:05.When you get a horse as good as this, there isn't anything that is

:13:05. > :13:09.going to make them work because everything to him when he works,

:13:09. > :13:15.when he canters, when he gallops, everything to him will come so

:13:15. > :13:22.easily and that is why he will be a relaxed horse. When he gets on to

:13:22. > :13:28.the track, he just, he is exhub rant. That long stride of his.

:13:28. > :13:32.A lot of the jockeys choosing to ignore the bell. Not moving until

:13:32. > :13:37.somebody else moves. They are waiting because they don't want to

:13:37. > :13:40.get on board too early. Henry Cecil going through in detail what they

:13:40. > :13:44.are going to try and do today. They will have discussed this beforehand

:13:44. > :13:48.and he is just saying if there is enough pace we can try and get him

:13:48. > :13:52.to relax and try and get him to enjoy T that's our one chance to

:13:52. > :13:59.see if he can stay a mile and a quarter later in the season.

:13:59. > :14:07.I thought that. The horse is filtering past Mick

:14:07. > :14:13.and I. Here is Dream Ahead. He only put in one bad run in his life. He

:14:13. > :14:18.is a big, strong horse. Isn't he just? His trainer was keen to wait

:14:18. > :14:22.for the ground to be perfect. He had the rain and allowed him to

:14:22. > :14:25.take his chances. There was talk of him not running because it wasn't

:14:25. > :14:29.soft enough. He is a group one winner. He was

:14:29. > :14:31.rated the same as Frankel at the end of last season.

:14:31. > :14:36.And he is only a fraction behind him.

:14:36. > :14:42.Let's look at the Japanese runner, Grand Prix Boss. He is very warm

:14:42. > :14:46.and wet today, Mick. It would be a concern for me this. We saw in our

:14:47. > :14:51.last race, Star Witness was second home and it didn't make any

:14:51. > :14:57.difference to him. Wootton Bassett another outstanding

:14:57. > :15:03.two-year-old. He had one run so far. Does he look any sharper? He does.

:15:03. > :15:07.I saw his trainer yesterday at a golf day and he said he thought

:15:07. > :15:11.this horse would be better. He went too fast. He will be ridden with

:15:11. > :15:17.restraint today and I think we could see a much better run from

:15:17. > :15:21.this horse. We saw Zoffany going out of shot,

:15:21. > :15:23.the horse behind Wootton Bassett. Zoffany was well fancied for the

:15:23. > :15:28.Coventry Stakes on this day last year. He clearly had his problems

:15:28. > :15:32.because he only had the one run this season? Yes. He was favourite

:15:32. > :15:36.for the guineas as well. Ryan Moore and Aidan O'Brien, they are

:15:36. > :15:42.sweeping all before them when they combine this year, could this be

:15:42. > :15:50.another one for them? I want you -- I know you want to talk about

:15:50. > :16:00.Excelebration, he he gave Frankel a race in the green ham Stakes at

:16:00. > :16:03.Newbury. I was really taken with this horse. I watched the race that

:16:03. > :16:13.he won. That's Excelebration. The only one

:16:13. > :16:16.

:16:16. > :16:21.that we haven't spoken about is is Dubawi Gold. Many people criticised

:16:21. > :16:26.Richard Hughes. Richard Hughes will be full of confidence after winning

:16:26. > :16:33.on Canford Cliffs. Well, it is an interesting race to

:16:33. > :16:38.have your first run of the season on, David Simcock trains Dream

:16:38. > :16:44.Ahead. This is a big, big race to take your chance in, but are you

:16:44. > :16:49.happy with him, David? Delighted. We probably haven't had enough rain.

:16:49. > :16:53.It has been a long wait to get him here. We are delighted we are here.

:16:53. > :16:58.We can work from here. Good luck. Tense moments here

:16:58. > :17:03.before the horses are making their way on to the racecourse. Willie,

:17:03. > :17:08.you are impressed with the favourite, aren't you? He is just a

:17:08. > :17:15.bundle of muscle. Oh dear, what a racehorse. And he is not that big.

:17:15. > :17:20.He is not huge, but the chest on him. He is just so much muscle. So

:17:20. > :17:25.much backside, so much quarters, power and the way he he walks, he

:17:25. > :17:30.walks so slowly and eloquently. This is Neebras on his way down to

:17:30. > :17:34.the start. They have had permission to miss the parade and Frankie

:17:34. > :17:38.Dettori taking him down out of order and in canter where the

:17:38. > :17:41.others are being led in front of the grandstand and Frankel having a

:17:42. > :17:47.look around at the hats and the colours, but look at the strength

:17:47. > :17:51.he has behind in his quarters, the way his coat is gleaming.

:17:51. > :17:55.An eloquent walk and Grand Prix Boss sweating up badly.

:17:55. > :17:59.Here we go with the parade for the St James' Palace Stakes. It is a

:17:59. > :18:04.group one race. It is for three- year-old colts only and it is led

:18:04. > :18:08.by Dream Ahead. We heard from his trainer, he is having his first

:18:08. > :18:18.start for 241 days. They are hopeful, but they will build on

:18:18. > :18:53.

:18:53. > :18:58.can beat Frankel today is himself? If he relaxes and if Tom Queally

:18:58. > :19:01.can ride him the way Henry Cecil wants him to, he looks head and

:19:01. > :19:06.shoulders above the rest. Grand Prix Boss is an interesting

:19:06. > :19:09.runner. He was the top two-year-old in Japan last year and he has got a

:19:09. > :19:14.winner at group one level on the board in Tokyo last month.

:19:14. > :19:18.Neebras has gone down which leaves us now with Rerouted. Michael Hills

:19:18. > :19:23.there. We expect he will be the pacemaker for Frankel. That is his

:19:23. > :19:28.role in the race. We have Wootton Bassett who was an unbeaten two-

:19:28. > :19:31.year-old. Very, very exciting. Went to the French guineas as a

:19:31. > :19:34.favourite. Had a few excuses. And finished fifth and will be hoping

:19:34. > :19:41.to step up. We have Zoffany. Now Aidan O'Brien on the right there

:19:41. > :19:45.has a very strong book of runners. It is rare for him to have a horse

:19:45. > :19:51.at 20-1 in a group one level. This horse was favourite for the guineas.

:19:51. > :19:56.He was beaten twice at two years old. He is a group one winner. He

:19:56. > :19:59.has got to improve. But he is not out of it. So Tom Queally, earlier

:19:59. > :20:05.on he was relaxed and laughing, looking forward to the ride of the

:20:05. > :20:08.week. William Buick Flat Out on his back he is so relaxed and Paul

:20:08. > :20:14.Hannigan is very excited at the prospect of Wootton Bassett.

:20:14. > :20:18.Studying the form is Frankie Dettori. Richard Hughes, well, his

:20:18. > :20:28.winner of the day has come already, can he follow up, Adam Kirby on the

:20:28. > :20:37.

:20:37. > :20:47.left chatting to William Buick and Frankel or look for option? Well,

:20:47. > :20:59.

:20:59. > :21:04.placed on the favourite. We will tell the viewers what it was.

:21:04. > :21:14.This is the shortest price since 1947, two-dimensional. Do you know

:21:14. > :21:23.

:21:23. > :21:27.at Royal Ascot. It is for three- year-old colts.

:21:27. > :21:32.The racecourse itself has been changed a bit. It has got a lovely

:21:32. > :21:42.sweeping bend, but now the Winning Post is 75 yards further on. Horses

:21:42. > :21:46.

:21:46. > :21:51.will get an easy lead and are hard away from the other runners. He has

:21:51. > :21:56.gone down last and gone down some distance, a long distance, about

:21:56. > :22:03.200 meters from the others. He has given him plenty of time to relax.

:22:03. > :22:11.He does look in relaxed mode as he travels down the strait.

:22:11. > :22:16.There he is there. A cameraman on the rail there which can often

:22:16. > :22:22.annoy horses. In fact they are not permitted to be that close normally.

:22:22. > :22:30.Certainly not in a race. But here, he is, he looks a picture of

:22:30. > :22:40.relaxation as he goes down to the start for the St James' Lass Stakes.

:22:40. > :22:42.

:22:43. > :22:48.he has seen so far. Frankel moving beautifully. The one person he will

:22:48. > :22:53.miss is Yammy, Steve Dibl who would normally be there to help him go

:22:53. > :22:56.into the stalls, but had a horrific accident on Saturday night. Mick

:22:56. > :22:59.Fitzgerald, I know you have spoken to him in hospital this morning.

:22:59. > :23:04.His injuries are appalling, he is an expert with difficult horses at

:23:04. > :23:10.the start, but one got better of him? One certainly did. This is a

:23:10. > :23:13.guy who broke six ribs, fractured both collarbones and has also

:23:13. > :23:17.fractured his shoulder. He is going home today, but give him a little

:23:17. > :23:24.bit of time before they operate on the shoulder. But horrific injuries,

:23:24. > :23:29.but he is still chirpy. He says, "I want to thanks to everybody who has

:23:29. > :23:33.rung and wished him luck." He said Frankel is not a problem horse, he

:23:33. > :23:36.is a joy to be around. Well, he is looking like he hasn't

:23:36. > :23:40.got a care in the world at the moment, Frankel. Just beautiful.

:23:40. > :23:44.And when you see him in full flight this is the sort of power that he

:23:44. > :23:48.has. Now bear in mind there, isn't just a group one. This is a classic.

:23:48. > :23:54.This is the 2,000 guineas. A huge field. Well fancied horses and

:23:54. > :23:58.Frankel has a burst of speed like a sprinter and manage to say maintain

:23:58. > :24:02.it for a mile. It was extraordinary. Most of the jockeys in the race

:24:02. > :24:06.thought he was the pacemaker. They didn't realise it was Frankel

:24:06. > :24:12.because he a pacemaker who is sitting fourth now, but Frankel,

:24:12. > :24:17.look at the action on that. Look at the stroke that, the power, look at

:24:17. > :24:20.his feet grabbing the ground and propelling himself forward and Tom

:24:20. > :24:23.Queally, he doesn't realise how fast he is going and that's what

:24:23. > :24:27.happens when you are sitting on superstars.

:24:27. > :24:32.He came up with a great comparison when he said it is like driving a

:24:32. > :24:36.big powerful car and you look at the speedometer and say, "I'm going

:24:37. > :24:41.100.". You think you are doing 60, but you are doing 100.

:24:41. > :24:51.Which none of us would ever done. I never do it.

:24:51. > :24:59.

:24:59. > :25:07.Do you do it in your Jaguar. improve on his last race. I

:25:07. > :25:13.remember seeing him a little while ago and I was impressed.

:25:13. > :25:17.When you are looking at the shots of the 2000 Guineas, Richard Hughes

:25:17. > :25:20.didn't realise it was Frankel who was so far clear. This horse came

:25:20. > :25:25.through to finish second and then Richard Hannon, his father-in-law,

:25:25. > :25:29.gave him a rocket for, he thought leaving him too much to do in the

:25:29. > :25:34.Irish 2000? He's admitted that he did overegg the situation and give

:25:35. > :25:38.his horse a little bit too much to do and he couldn't get to Roderick

:25:38. > :25:42.O'Connor who won the 2000 Guineas in Ireland that day. But you would

:25:42. > :25:48.have to expect that horse to run another big race for the Hannon

:25:48. > :25:52.team. He is another horse who was a stuep star as a two-year-old --

:25:52. > :25:56.superstar. He could be making a running today because he's a free

:25:56. > :26:00.going horse. They like to let him use his action and I'm sure they'll

:26:00. > :26:05.do the same today. But they just might go quick enough for him to

:26:05. > :26:11.get a leap and help him. Frankel and Zoffany just out of shot look

:26:11. > :26:18.like they'll be the last two to be loaded. Frankel will go off 100-30

:26:18. > :26:22.on. Excelebration second best at 10-1. Dubawi Gold 12-1, along with

:26:22. > :26:26.Wootton Bassett. Over to Jim.

:26:26. > :26:30.This man, Tom Queally, about to have the most important ride of his

:26:30. > :26:36.career. Big responsibility on his shoulders today.

:26:36. > :26:43.He's got to try and settle this magnificent striding horse, a big

:26:43. > :26:50.striding horse in behind. Henry Cecil's given his instructions. And

:26:50. > :26:55.Ladbrokes report they've taken 150,000 on Frankel at 1-3. They

:26:55. > :27:03.are ready for the St James Palace and they're racing.

:27:03. > :27:06.Re-routed down near the inside was away smartly. Excelebration.

:27:06. > :27:16.Zoffany crossing over with Wootton Bassett, as they settle into stride

:27:16. > :27:18.

:27:18. > :27:23.now and root root root going on. Frankel is back in the field

:27:23. > :27:27.Rerouted leads well. Dubawi Gold in third. Frankel settled in behind,

:27:27. > :27:32.fourth on the inside. Followed by Wootton Bassett. Excelebration is

:27:32. > :27:37.further back in the field. Dream Ahead giving them a long stand.

:27:37. > :27:43.Zoffany. Toward the half mile now and out in front is still Rerouted

:27:43. > :27:48.by four lengths or so. Frankel is now trying to get into the clear

:27:48. > :27:51.now. He's bridging the gap very quickly indeed. He's raced up on

:27:52. > :27:55.the outside now to grab the lead as they go to the three. It's Frankel

:27:55. > :28:00.who takes it up now. He's gone two- and-a-half, three lengths in front

:28:00. > :28:04.as they round the turn. Further back is Dubawi Gold in third. A gap

:28:04. > :28:09.to Excelebration. Further back is the Grand Prix Boss. Two furlongs

:28:09. > :28:16.left to go, it's Frankel. Frankel by five lengths, Excelebration

:28:17. > :28:23.coming out of the pack. Followed by Dubawi Gold and further back,

:28:23. > :28:27.Neebras. Still in front it's Frankel by three. Down the outside,

:28:27. > :28:35.Zoffany finishing. Excelebration. It's Frankel now, he's starting to

:28:35. > :28:40.paddle. He's held on. Frankel's won it! Frankel won the St James Palace.

:28:40. > :28:46.Zoffany in second. Excelebration in third. Followed by Neebras. A gap

:28:46. > :28:56.to the others. Dream Ahead. Followed by Wootton Bassett and

:28:56. > :28:58.

:28:58. > :29:03.Dubawi Gold. Frankel blasted home over the mile. He's got there. He's

:29:03. > :29:10.scrambled home. But he remains unbeaten. Seven out of seven.

:29:10. > :29:15.Number four, Frankel. Owned by prince Khaled Abdullah ridden by

:29:15. > :29:19.Tom Queally and trained by Sir Henry Cescle. Won it by three parts

:29:19. > :29:24.of a length and he was shortening stride so much in the final furlong,

:29:24. > :29:31.Zoffany's come from the pack to get second. Let's check it out for

:29:31. > :29:37.third. Excelebration in third. In fourth is Neebras for Godolphin.

:29:37. > :29:41.Dream Ahead in fifth. A further gap of about five, six, seven lengths

:29:41. > :29:44.now to Wootton Bassett on the outside of Dubawi Gold. Very tight

:29:44. > :29:48.there, they were so far behind Frankel though and they're still

:29:48. > :29:55.waiting for the others. Two more to come. Let's have a look at them.

:29:55. > :30:00.Grand Prix Boss, the Japanese runner. And Rerouted, the pacemaker,

:30:00. > :30:07.has finished absolute last. The one, two, three, four, first is number

:30:08. > :30:11.four, ridden by come feely. Second, Zoffany. Third number three,

:30:11. > :30:20.Excelebration, and fourth is Frankie Dettori, Neebras. The

:30:20. > :30:25.winner started at 100-30 on, and the distances were one and a third

:30:25. > :30:30.length. Tom Queally certainly had a train to catch there because, my

:30:30. > :30:34.word, he pushed the button early, decides, I'm going to go. The

:30:34. > :30:38.pacemaker, Rerouted, miles out in front, was never going to last home,

:30:38. > :30:42.but Tom probably didn't want to get trapped on the inside rail. Maybe

:30:42. > :30:46.that's what was concerning him. He gives Frankel a slap on the

:30:46. > :30:51.shoulder, the horse responds. He nearly gets caught in the closing

:30:51. > :30:54.stages. Gets tired. But of course, he was in Top Gear for four-and-a-

:30:54. > :30:59.half furlongs. He is some sort of racehorse, this guy. We haven't

:30:59. > :31:04.seen the best of him yet. I'm sure if they hold him up a little more,

:31:04. > :31:12.he's going to take off like you see there in the last two furlongs. He

:31:13. > :31:17.is a superstar and I still would criticise the rising act ticks

:31:17. > :31:22.today going early. I think Tom could wait another two furlongs and

:31:22. > :31:25.his change of gear would still kill the horses and the winning distance

:31:25. > :31:34.would be bigger than it was today. He's a superstar, well done to the

:31:34. > :31:40.team, you got him home again. can see there dramatically how

:31:40. > :31:46.Frankel is slowing. Zoffany is coming up there. You can see Henry

:31:46. > :31:50.Cecil there. Getting worried. "ooh", he's gone. The time is only a

:31:50. > :31:56.second off-the-record. So that horse, he's galloped. We mustn't

:31:56. > :32:02.take it away from the other horses. They're very high-class three-year-

:32:02. > :32:07.old colts, the best there is in possibly the whole of Europe. He's

:32:07. > :32:10.still beaten them. Frankie Dettori just came into the winners'

:32:10. > :32:15.enclosure into fourth spot on Neebras and the reason you heard

:32:15. > :32:18.laughter, he's putting his hands up going "I was fourth" because they

:32:18. > :32:24.didn't expect much from Neebras and he's come in and still trying to

:32:24. > :32:30.get the crowd going. There's Frankel, parading in front of the

:32:30. > :32:34.stand. The greatest horse Tom Queally has ever ridden, could be

:32:34. > :32:38.the best horse Henry Cecil's trained. Have we seen the best of

:32:38. > :32:43.him? He will get better, he's getting more mature. Didn't he

:32:43. > :32:48.settle early on, he was fine? at him now, he's still in that

:32:49. > :32:55.lovely cool state. He doesn't look as though he's had a very hard race

:32:55. > :33:00.and hi is -- he is a hi-class colt that all breeders will be

:33:00. > :33:04.clambering to get to. The lad that looks after him and Shane that

:33:04. > :33:09.rides him in his every day work, they deserve a lot of credit. Shane

:33:09. > :33:14.used to ride Motivator. I'm so impressed with this horse's

:33:14. > :33:19.temperament, at how he laxed he is, given how explosive his racing

:33:19. > :33:29.style has been required to be, for him still to be so cool and just a

:33:29. > :33:31.

:33:31. > :33:37.lovely horse. Like the great G Galileo. A horse trained by Roger

:33:37. > :33:47.Charlton, she was a quick filly, Roger said, of course, it gets all

:33:47. > :33:48.

:33:48. > :33:52.the speed from his side of the pedigree.

:33:53. > :33:57.You can see Tom Queally giving him a couple of back handers saying,

:33:57. > :34:01.keep going fella, they're closing down on us, but we had this race

:34:01. > :34:05.won three furlongs from home, we've burned them off, just keep going,

:34:05. > :34:09.please. And Frankel's answered all the calls he's a superstar, it

:34:09. > :34:14.wasn't as impressive a performance as we saw in the 2000 Guineas, but

:34:14. > :34:19.it takes a lot to come back here and win at Royal Ascot and for Tom

:34:19. > :34:29.Queally, it's his fourth winner at the Royal meeting and his first in

:34:29. > :34:47.

:34:47. > :34:52.this race, the St James Palace Royal Highnesses, my Lords, ladies

:34:52. > :34:57.and gentlemen, we are in the presence of greatness. The freakish

:34:58. > :35:03.Frankel has done it again, his seventh win in a row, takes the St

:35:03. > :35:07.James Palace Stakes for Tom Queally. For Henry Cecil, it's a record

:35:07. > :35:17.extending 73rd winner at the meeting and a first for him as Sir

:35:17. > :35:18.

:35:18. > :35:27.Henry Cecil. We bow down before him and before Frankel. The time was

:35:27. > :35:37.0.92 of a second outside the record. So even though he was stopping, his

:35:37. > :35:37.

:35:37. > :35:41.acceleration from the half mile to about the furlong and a half point

:35:41. > :35:45.which -- was quite extraordinary. You would really want to know what

:35:45. > :35:49.Henry Cecil's instructions were. He makes a good point that if he held

:35:49. > :35:52.on a little longer, maybe just letting him go at the top of the

:35:52. > :35:56.home straight, maybe it was a different result as far as the

:35:56. > :36:00.distance that he scored by. But you would want to know what his

:36:00. > :36:08.instructions were. The great feature of today's win was that he

:36:08. > :36:13.settled so well in behind. Henry's comments will be noted by all, I'm

:36:13. > :36:20.sure, Sir Henry. He look add relieved man, but it was seven out

:36:20. > :36:25.of seven for Frankel. Seven wins from seven starts. And he is a

:36:25. > :36:30.magnificent racehorse, that's for sure. He scored by official margin

:36:30. > :36:34.on three quarters of a length with one-and-a-half lengths between

:36:34. > :36:44.second and third. Frankel is the winner of the St

:36:44. > :36:45.

:36:45. > :36:50.James Palace Stakes, 130 on was the punter as well. If you

:36:50. > :36:54.could see the bet Jim gave out before the off, 150,000 to win

:36:54. > :36:59.50,000. How about that person on the first half a furlong, how do

:36:59. > :37:04.you think he felt, John? Skin of his teeth! Here I am with the

:37:04. > :37:08.winning trainer, Sir Henry Cecil. First of all, a lot was made about

:37:08. > :37:12.the speed and the way Frankel raced in the 2000 Guineas and whether you

:37:13. > :37:17.would be able to harness that power. Were you happy with the way he

:37:17. > :37:24.settled today? He settled really very well. The pacemaker went off

:37:24. > :37:28.quite fast and he was very, very settled. You had to ask him to take

:37:28. > :37:33.it up, then we said, when he was in front for a furlong, he thought

:37:33. > :37:36.he'd done enough. He was getting very idle at the end, which is very

:37:36. > :37:41.good. Were you surprised at how quickly Tom went after the

:37:41. > :37:47.pacemaker? Was that always the plan? Well, the plan was to go, you

:37:47. > :37:51.know, really sort of just before the bend. I mean, just take the

:37:51. > :37:55.logical view. He sprinted away and the further he went, the better he

:37:55. > :37:59.went. Now he's getting wiser, you know, he had the race won and he

:37:59. > :38:03.thought he'd done enough like in the Guineas, you know. Tom said he

:38:03. > :38:07.wasn't at all tired, he just thought he'd done enough, which is

:38:07. > :38:11.good really, because it means I can settle him in now and means I don't

:38:11. > :38:15.have to make so much use of him. That was interesting because a lot

:38:15. > :38:20.of people after the race were watching going, he must be a six

:38:20. > :38:26.furlong horse. What would you say to them? No, no, no. He's not. Tom

:38:26. > :38:30.Queally, is here too. Take us through your thoughts on the race?

:38:30. > :38:34.Jumped slow and settled better than ever. As a result, nobody was

:38:34. > :38:39.inclined to follow, so that put me in that position. I thought I would

:38:39. > :38:44.draw up sooner rather than later. He was running for a long way and

:38:44. > :38:47.starting to get a little fed up in front. He does it so easily, you

:38:47. > :38:50.know. A lot of people watching the closing stages would have thought

:38:50. > :38:54.he was getting tired. Would that be the wrong impression? I think so,

:38:54. > :38:58.yes. So a strongly run mile is fine and maybe even further, would you

:38:58. > :39:02.suggest that? It's fine, but he's growing up all the time so

:39:02. > :39:05.everybody seemed to think that he could just jump and run, but he's

:39:05. > :39:10.more versatile than people think. We have options and tactics, he's

:39:10. > :39:13.still the one to beat at the moment, a good position to be in. We saw

:39:13. > :39:17.Canford Cliffs and Goldikova in the opening race today. Are you looking

:39:17. > :39:21.forward to taking them on at some point in the season?

:39:21. > :39:26.Well, I think it's inevitable isn't it really. Unless this horse goes a

:39:26. > :39:31.mile and a quarter when he jumps for the Juddmonte International.

:39:31. > :39:36.Maybe the Sussex or Juddmonte, but we'll see. It's too early to say.

:39:36. > :39:45.And your first winner, as Sir Henry Cecil. Any different?

:39:45. > :39:51.No, not at all different. Are you getting used to be -- being called

:39:51. > :39:56.Sir Henry? No. Congratulations. Thank you. Pleasure. Sir Henry

:39:56. > :40:01.there, no different to being Henry Cecil or Sir Henry Cecil if you

:40:01. > :40:08.notch up yet another Royal Ascot victory in another big race as well.

:40:08. > :40:11.Frankel won, not quite in the same style as he did in the 2000 Guineas.

:40:11. > :40:16.Runner-up was Zoffany. Excelebration riding against the

:40:16. > :40:20.rails. Neebras was there. This was Rerouted in stall two. In Newmarket,

:40:20. > :40:25.we assumed Rerouted would make the running. It didn't happen because

:40:25. > :40:29.Frankel made his own running. Michael Hill's after him? He knew

:40:29. > :40:33.he had a job to do, set the race up for Frankel and you can see he's

:40:33. > :40:38.pushing to get him into that position, but because of the draw,

:40:38. > :40:42.you heard Tom say he wasn't able to follow him, he just had the other

:40:42. > :40:46.horse in front of him getting into the position he thought he might be

:40:46. > :40:50.in. He looks like he wants to go around the outside, but the

:40:50. > :40:53.Japanese horse allows him to come through and then Tom decides to get

:40:53. > :40:57.right after his pacemaker? A lot of people will say, and I'm sure when

:40:57. > :41:00.Tom watches this again, he might think to himself, should I just

:41:00. > :41:04.have allowed it to happen a bit more gradual because it meant, when

:41:04. > :41:08.we saw him turning into the straight, he was a horse that

:41:08. > :41:11.looked like he'd have a long way to get home. Let's have a look as they

:41:11. > :41:16.turned into the straight as Frankel's come through to take it

:41:16. > :41:20.up. Here he is out in front. Further back in the field, a couple

:41:20. > :41:28.of others. Zoffany, the blue and orange, second place. A couple to

:41:28. > :41:33.have a look at. Dubawi Gold. Second. Wootton Bassett. They've all run

:41:33. > :41:37.disappointingly? I had a quick word with Richard Hughes there about

:41:37. > :41:42.Dubawi Gold and he said he's ran a little flat, maybe he thought he

:41:42. > :41:45.got after him a little early and because of that, he thought he

:41:46. > :41:49.didn't get home. Wootton Bassett, disappointed in France by him and

:41:49. > :41:55.he's beaten a fair way out here as well? He has. Excelebration,

:41:56. > :42:00.running a cracker again, proving that German Guineas win. That's not

:42:00. > :42:06.a sight we want to see, him looking like he's coming to tend of his

:42:07. > :42:10.tether. Tom Queally said maybe he was. Frankel's won by the shortest

:42:10. > :42:20.winning margin in the season, just about a length or so. The time,

:42:20. > :42:27.

:42:27. > :42:33.three quarters of a second faster horses. Mick Fitzgerald said how

:42:33. > :42:36.well Excelebration ran there. His jockey said he tripped when he came

:42:36. > :42:46.out of the gates, but he thinks it may have cost him second, not so

:42:46. > :42:50.

:42:50. > :42:54.sure about winning the race. Buick who ran -- Hughes said he just

:42:54. > :42:59.killed me today, Frankel. As for Wootton Bassett, his rider, Paul

:42:59. > :43:03.Hanagan, said, we may consider dropping him back in trip after

:43:03. > :43:07.evaluating this performance. Zoffany, who was second, will run

:43:07. > :43:09.in the Sussex Stakes, where it's possible he may meet Frankel once

:43:09. > :43:13.again. We are going to zip back in time by

:43:13. > :43:18.about a minute or so, because the trophy presentation has been taking

:43:18. > :43:23.place, presented by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall

:43:23. > :43:28.and Sir Henrys is ill got the most enormous roar of approval and

:43:28. > :43:33.applause as he stepped forward. A long conversation with the Duchess

:43:33. > :43:38.there, about the brilliance of Frankel. He really is an

:43:38. > :43:44.extraordinary horse. As Tom Queally was saying, he's running with the

:43:44. > :43:48.choke out for such a long way. To keep going is exceptional and his

:43:48. > :43:53.power comes from both this enormous heart and chest and the way he

:43:53. > :43:58.powers it in front, backed up by very strong quarters. He's been in

:43:59. > :44:02.top gear for four furlongs. You saw the four furlong marker there. Tom

:44:02. > :44:09.Queally's asked him to pick up the pacemaker and he's in top gear from

:44:09. > :44:16.now until he gets to the winning post. Now, I'm sure if we go back

:44:16. > :44:21.to the old days of Leicester -- Lester Pigott, for instance, I'm

:44:21. > :44:31.sure he'd hold on until the last second. An impromptu three cheers

:44:31. > :44:40.

:44:40. > :44:45.for Henry Cecil's just rang out there, because the Duchess of

:44:46. > :44:52.Cornwall appreciates her racing and the prairls is -- Prince of Wales

:44:52. > :44:55.is enjoying it more. Do you know do you think so? I do. Henry is saying,

:44:55. > :44:59.look at my tie, very special, then saying thank you very much. We have

:44:59. > :45:02.had three races sofar on day one of Royal Ascot, two still to come on

:45:02. > :45:06.BBC Two and the last race of the Windsor Castle Stakes will be on

:45:06. > :45:09.the red button. We have every race for you live on the BBC this year.

:45:09. > :45:15.Comeling up next, the first sighting of two-year-olds this week,

:45:15. > :45:18.it's the Coventry Stakes over six furlongs, a big field for that.

:45:18. > :45:25.Aidan O'Brien could get his first winner on the board of power. Or it

:45:25. > :45:31.could be Mezmaar. Then from one extreme to the other, two-and-a-

:45:31. > :45:36.half miles to cover in the Ascot Stakes Junior, bidding for back-to-

:45:36. > :45:39.back wins for David Pipe. The Windsor Castle Stakes over five

:45:39. > :45:45.furlongs will be on the red button with interviews and all the fun

:45:45. > :45:49.that you can expect from our coverage here on the BBC.

:45:49. > :45:54.We've honed in on Hayley Turner who is Britain's most successful female

:45:55. > :46:00.jockey. We are asking you the pick a winner for the next race. Any

:46:00. > :46:06.tips? On form, my tip's probably Gatepost. There are some eye-

:46:06. > :46:10.catchers in the paddock. I thought Gabrial, number nine, looks well.

:46:11. > :46:14.That is Gatepost's owner as well. When you say that, why are you

:46:14. > :46:19.saying that it looks quite well, what are you looking at? As a two-

:46:19. > :46:23.year-old, you want them to be nice and calm and relaxed and

:46:23. > :46:27.concentrating and not jumping around and sweating too much and

:46:27. > :46:32.getting wound up by the atmosphere. There is so many people here.

:46:32. > :46:35.they feel that? They do. You are looking at a nice stocky horse

:46:35. > :46:39.that's athletic looking, you know, just like you would a sportsman

:46:39. > :46:43.really. Something toned. Obviously we are used to seeing you in your

:46:43. > :46:48.silks. Today you are wearing silk of another variety, so not riding

:46:48. > :46:52.today? No, I've got a day off today. Rhys kindly provided me with my

:46:52. > :46:55.outfits for the whole week which is brilliant, but I'm here riding for

:46:55. > :46:59.the rest of the week but I have today off and all the girls are

:46:59. > :47:02.coming and they were like, let's go for a day out which I haven't done

:47:02. > :47:06.before, but I'm having so much fun, it's brilliant being on the other

:47:06. > :47:11.side of it, instead of car park and weighing room, you know, it's nice

:47:11. > :47:13.to get amongst it and I'm having a great time. She's picked Rhys who

:47:13. > :47:19.Catherine Middleton has been championing on the high street.

:47:19. > :47:25.Well done you. A great colour for you. Really, really well for your

:47:25. > :47:30.colouring. Stunning. A bit different. Why not. You must have

:47:30. > :47:34.to use your body, treat it like a Thamele, rather like us models. How

:47:34. > :47:38.do you look after yourself with your diet? A top like this is ideal

:47:38. > :47:42.because it covers my arms, my arms are massive, I look like a wrestler,

:47:42. > :47:46.it's weird. You have to be so strong though? Yes, I do. If I

:47:46. > :47:50.didn't have big arms, I would get run off with down to the start and

:47:50. > :47:54.win races all the time so it's not a good look but it's a good job so

:47:54. > :47:59.I have to put it with it. My diet is basically we need plenty of food

:47:59. > :48:04.that gives you energy obviously because we are athletes, but I try

:48:04. > :48:14.not to eat carbs after 4 o'clock, try not to drink fizzy drinks,

:48:14. > :48:18.light foods, little and often and a good breakfast. How tall are you?

:48:18. > :48:23.Five foot three-and-a-half. would want to be taller though

:48:23. > :48:25.would you, we have someone who is extremely small and someone who is

:48:25. > :48:30.extremely tall. You have some riders the rest of the week. Who

:48:30. > :48:34.are you keen on for the rest of the week? Really excited about one

:48:34. > :48:38.running in the Ribblesdale on Thursday and I want lots of rain.

:48:38. > :48:43.You want it to be soft? Yes. So you have booked the weather. Thank you

:48:43. > :48:47.very much. Great to see you and good luck this week. Thank you.

:48:48. > :48:52.Willie's taking issue with not eating carbs after 4 o'clock.

:48:52. > :48:59.are good for you at any time. her system and it's working.

:48:59. > :49:09.yeah. Ten days ago we are at Epsom with a massive crowd, millions

:49:09. > :49:09.

:49:09. > :50:01.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 52 seconds

:50:01. > :50:11.watching to injoy the Investec the centre of the story because she

:50:11. > :50:16.owns the favourite, Carlton House. COMMENTATOR: Carlton House.

:50:16. > :50:26.Treasure Beach in front. Carlton House trying. Treasure Beach

:50:26. > :50:35.

:50:35. > :50:40.recently. Looking ahead to the next race here, it's the Coventry Stakes.

:50:40. > :50:44.I saw Richard's performance last night watching it back and he was

:50:44. > :50:48.extremely impressive at his debut in Haydock. How impressed were you?

:50:48. > :50:55.Very much so. He's travelled well and quickened. He's shown a lot at

:50:55. > :51:00.home and dad's very pleased with him. You have ridden some very fast

:51:00. > :51:06.ones. Does he compare with the others? Yes, he's right up there,

:51:06. > :51:11.early in his career, but he's a nice horse. I know you have got to

:51:12. > :51:18.go so thank you. It was sensational racing at Epsom,

:51:18. > :51:28.hugely exciting finish to the Derby. The winner making so much ground

:51:28. > :51:33.

:51:33. > :51:39.Ryan Moore is taking the ride. Derek, can I just ask you what the

:51:39. > :51:43.plans might be now for Treasure Beach? I believe it's Irish Derby.

:51:43. > :51:49.Makes sense? Absolutely. And recital, I believe that's the same

:51:49. > :51:53.plan, but we haven't spoken since actually. And the French

:51:53. > :51:58.preparation will be ongoing for the Ark? That's the idea, yes. Break

:51:58. > :52:02.now? And then the ark, yes. What about Wonder of Wonders, an

:52:02. > :52:07.exciting filly? Yes, I suppose so. We really haven't spoken. You might

:52:07. > :52:10.think we have, but we haven't, so I'm not sure what the plans are.

:52:10. > :52:17.Presumably, you have spoken about Power, what is the feeling in the

:52:17. > :52:20.camp? We think he has a good chance. He's certainly on his last run we

:52:20. > :52:25.always thought this would be the race for him, we are very hopeful.

:52:25. > :52:30.You must be so excited. It's a big team effort. You are very much an

:52:30. > :52:34.integral part of this team and love seeing your purple colours carried,

:52:34. > :52:39.don't you? That's just a thing we've got with the Derby, to always

:52:39. > :52:44.win the Derby was every schoolboy's ambition, to win it in your colours,

:52:44. > :52:54.it's a bit special. So it's Michael's colours now. If you spin

:52:54. > :52:59.round, Adrian, you can just see - thank you, Derek - you can see the

:52:59. > :53:04.Bally Doyle camp. Those are the combinations now. They changed the

:53:04. > :53:09.first name, according to who's the senior owner and therefore whose

:53:09. > :53:13.colours they will be carried. The bell going now for jockeys up

:53:13. > :53:20.for the Coventry. High-class race and Mick Fitzgerald is down at the

:53:20. > :53:24.start for this one. Thanks, claifrplt we are at the six

:53:24. > :53:30.furlong start. We have 23 two-year- olds which need to be loaded into

:53:30. > :53:34.the stalls. The man in charge of that is the team leader Mr Reid.

:53:34. > :53:38.How do you load? The boys take the orders off the starters, the boys

:53:38. > :53:42.will start with odd numbers first, then as soon as they come out,

:53:42. > :53:45.they'll ask him or grab whatever's the nearest. Which way do you start,

:53:46. > :53:48.in the middle? Wherever they're given. The boys won't come too

:53:48. > :53:52.close to one another, will stay three or four stalls separate so

:53:52. > :53:55.you are not on top of one another and they'll bring them up. They'll

:53:56. > :54:00.wait at the gate and as soon as the pushes arrive, they'll get them in,

:54:00. > :54:04.then just go out and get them as quickly as possible. Sammy lets the

:54:04. > :54:08.boys know if there are late horses or anything, blind-folded horses

:54:08. > :54:15.will go first and literally, the boys, we have enough leaders to get

:54:15. > :54:20.them in hopefully as quick as possible so they're not stood there

:54:20. > :54:23.long. How many lads do you have putting the horses in? We have six

:54:23. > :54:29.lads pushing and the rest of the boys will be leading, so there'll

:54:29. > :54:32.be ten leaders, 11 leaders. We saw what happened to the horse the

:54:33. > :54:38.other night at Leicester. Do the lads know the ones that will be

:54:38. > :54:42.difficult and do they mark them off as ones that are so and say they're

:54:43. > :54:48.not loading it? The only thingious never know is about horses running

:54:48. > :54:52.first time out, that's the luck of the draw. If you get a bad one, you

:54:52. > :54:57.are unlucky, but we usually know which are the bad ones and need a

:54:57. > :55:07.bit of care. It works most of the time. You normally do a pretty good

:55:07. > :55:12.

:55:13. > :55:22.footballer is in the ground at the moment. The man standing to my left,

:55:22. > :55:28.you are seeing his colours more and more has two runners. Who is the

:55:28. > :55:38.number one horse for you in this one? That's an unfair question to

:55:38. > :55:42.ask me! Both have equal chances. I guess maybe Gatepost. He looks more

:55:42. > :55:47.mature than Gabrial, but ask my wife and she will say Gabrial

:55:47. > :55:51.because it is the horse that's named after our son.

:55:51. > :55:54.That's very touching and I am sure the sentiment for your wife is that

:55:54. > :55:59.you want that to win. Interesting to know about Gatepost

:55:59. > :56:02.he has a scar on his right hind leg. Yes.

:56:02. > :56:10.It looks serious. I mean how serious was it at the time and

:56:10. > :56:15.happened? When he was ba baby I think he ran into a post or they

:56:15. > :56:21.gave him that name, Gatepost. But I believe the guy who was looking

:56:22. > :56:26.after him, I think his name is Mike Doyle rang me a couple of weeks ago

:56:26. > :56:30.and said he had to nurse him three times a day, six o'clock in the

:56:30. > :56:35.morning, twelve in the afternoon and six in the evening until the

:56:35. > :56:41.point that some people were asking him to give him away. I am glad he

:56:41. > :56:44.didn't. He is a lovely horse. If you looked at his first two races

:56:44. > :56:49.he looked a serious horse and hopefully he will go well today.

:56:50. > :56:56.He looks a smart horse, Gatepost. Hopefully one will keep that record

:56:56. > :57:01.intact? As my wife says, if it is a dead heat that would be ideal for

:57:01. > :57:06.both. Another excited owner here

:57:06. > :57:16.representing his son Jonathan Woodgate, Barolo Top, explain why

:57:16. > :57:22.the horse is called Barolo Top? other two owners Mike Jones are big

:57:22. > :57:25.wine drinkers. One doesn't drink. When they are out in Spain, one

:57:26. > :57:30.will say, "I will have a coke." That's how it has come to Barolo

:57:30. > :57:40.Top. What chance do you think he has got

:57:40. > :57:41.

:57:41. > :57:45.today? We are here to enjoy ourselves. He ran well at Haydock.

:57:45. > :57:50.So if you don't enter, you don't do anything, do you? We are here to

:57:50. > :57:54.enjoy it.. It is a fantastic day. Isn't it lovely? I only watch it on

:57:54. > :57:58.television. This is super. This is better.

:57:58. > :58:07.Thanks, thanks for saying that being here is so much better than

:58:07. > :58:15.watching on the TV! Michael Owen will be here. You are

:58:15. > :58:21.hooked by this, aren't you? Yes, I mean days are like this are what it

:58:21. > :58:24.is about. I love the flat season. Royal Ascot is the Mecca of horse

:58:25. > :58:29.horse racing or the flat season. Is your boss, Sir Alex Ferguson

:58:29. > :58:39.here? I am told he is not. I know he has got a horse in the last as

:58:39. > :58:43.well that we have beat before with one of our other fillies.

:58:43. > :58:48.We have beat a lot of the horses in the Norfolk this year so we have

:58:48. > :58:52.decided to head for that as opposed to the Queen Mary.

:58:52. > :58:58.That's Michael Owen. Keep your eyes out for Barolo Top. Jonathan

:58:58. > :59:08.Woodgate will be watching from Ibiza and cheering him on. First

:59:08. > :59:08.

:59:08. > :00:20.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 52 seconds

:00:20. > :00:24.two-year-olds stepping out. Let's It is simple what they have to do,

:00:24. > :00:29.jump out of the stalls and head for home. It is a straight course. Six

:00:29. > :00:32.furlongs. Now, the fear is they thought the high numbers were

:00:32. > :00:35.favoured in the first race, but it maybe too early to make any

:00:35. > :00:45.conclusive judgement. But they were running on with the high numbers on

:00:45. > :01:23.

:01:23. > :01:29.Ryan Moore, we said he wouldn't have a winner today. I wonder

:01:29. > :01:37.wonder will have be odds for champion jockey? We have number 11.

:01:37. > :01:43.It is an American horse. Gerry san Sanchez has not had many rides here

:01:43. > :01:49.at Ascot. The horse is getting on his toes. The Americans are used to

:01:49. > :01:56.being pawny. Having to go down themselves is a novelty. Horse

:01:56. > :02:04.number 17 in the blue and yellow colours, that is Ryan Moore. He

:02:04. > :02:08.came so close to winning our last race. Aidan O'Brien, he will be

:02:08. > :02:14.keen to get on that score sheet and this horse for many people is their

:02:14. > :02:18.idea of the winner. We can just see here horse number 8, Fulbright.

:02:18. > :02:22.This is a a jockey that you have to sit up and take notice. A real good

:02:22. > :02:32.rider. He is manage to go get on more of these Mark Johnson horses.

:02:32. > :02:42.

:02:42. > :02:49.We saw this horse winning at Epsom 21 on the card. George Baker rides

:02:49. > :02:55.him. He worked well at Leicester?

:02:55. > :03:00.improved enormously. There was a fancied Richard Hannon running that

:03:00. > :03:05.day. He didn't look that, well, he didn't look that experienced, but

:03:05. > :03:11.he improved from that at Leicester and bolted up.

:03:11. > :03:15.Trumpet Major trained by Richard Hannon and Richard Hughes. He has

:03:15. > :03:22.improved from first to second run. Defeat at Newbury. I always think

:03:22. > :03:27.on to third run, Richard Hannon's will improve. His first start this

:03:27. > :03:32.year was the same race that through up Canford Cliffs and Strong Suit

:03:32. > :03:39.that rip ard Hannon -- Richard Hannon introduced those two rinners

:03:39. > :03:47.-- winners in. This is Power number 11 and he is

:03:47. > :03:52.trained by Aidan O'Brien. He had the most appalling run in this race

:03:52. > :04:02.years ago when he got no run and was murdered. It is a stable you

:04:02. > :04:10.have to watch. Ryan roor ran over five furlongs. The return to six

:04:10. > :04:20.furlongs today is in his favour. The next one going in is Roman

:04:20. > :04:29.

:04:29. > :04:34.Soldier. We have no idea what they are

:04:34. > :04:44.capable of. St Barths has a little bit to fin on Trumpet Major who was

:04:44. > :04:45.

:04:45. > :04:52.behind him when they ran at Newbury. And this is Jack Who's He. He is

:04:52. > :04:59.trained by David Evans. He had a couple of runs and won both of them.

:04:59. > :05:05.He is not in much of a racing mood. Kathy Gannon having another

:05:05. > :05:08.tremendous season. This horse, unbeaten in two, but his best form

:05:08. > :05:12.leaves him with a bit to find, but he is hoping for more improvement.

:05:12. > :05:16.It is a while since he ran, the middle of April which is unusual.

:05:16. > :05:20.It is two months or so since he has been on the track and he is not in

:05:20. > :05:26.a great mood at the moment. Jack Who's He, we can see, proving

:05:26. > :05:31.very difficult. Kathy Gannon who is going great guns. She is just

:05:31. > :05:34.flicking this horse. She has the blindfold on now. They have spun it

:05:34. > :05:38.around a couple of times to make sure that this horse was unaware

:05:38. > :05:41.where he was going. Once he gets near that stall, that will be the

:05:41. > :05:51.next problem you will have with this horse. When he feels it, he

:05:51. > :05:54.

:05:54. > :06:04.will know where he is going. There is Kathy Gannon bringing Jack

:06:04. > :06:05.

:06:05. > :06:10.Who's He. There is Ryan Moore. The favourite to be champion jockey

:06:10. > :06:15.this week. Power trained by Aidan O'Brien. Roman Soldier nearest the

:06:15. > :06:21.camera. All in. Set to go on the Coventry. Stand by for a start.

:06:21. > :06:25.Ready. Stand by. Racing. And away to a good start too. One

:06:25. > :06:33.of the first away, Mezmaar over on the far side, Red Aggressor going

:06:33. > :06:37.fast at the early stages and Barolo Top is up there as well. Mitchum is

:06:37. > :06:41.showing plenty of dash. A run through the first couple of

:06:41. > :06:44.furlongs. Red Aggressor showing the way there from Mezmaar and right up

:06:44. > :06:49.there as well too in the centre is Brocklebank. Just behind them as

:06:49. > :06:56.they settle is Barolo Top and further back then Commissar. On the

:06:56. > :07:01.stands rail, as they race up towards half-way, showing out there

:07:01. > :07:05.is Rebellious Guest who is showing speed and so too is is Roman

:07:05. > :07:09.Soldier as they race up towards the two furlong marker and Power is

:07:09. > :07:13.running on well. Out of the centre, Red Aggressor shows the way from

:07:13. > :07:19.Rebellious Guest and Mezmaarment just just behind them, Jack Who's

:07:19. > :07:24.He. Battling on too is Lethal Force and down the stands rail now, Roman

:07:24. > :07:33.Soldier and Power have come near to take tup and now St Barths. St

:07:33. > :07:40.Barths is coming home hard. It is power getting the better of Roman

:07:40. > :07:47.Soldier. Ryan Moore has gone on to win it.

:07:47. > :07:56.Running well, Gatepost. Towards the rear, Wesley Woods horse finished

:07:56. > :08:03.well back. It finished towards the are rear of Commissar. Aidan

:08:03. > :08:07.O'Brien, the team are on the score sheet. Power has won the Coventry.

:08:07. > :08:13.Power train by Aidan O'Brien has won it. Let's see them cross the

:08:13. > :08:20.line. Power has gone up to win from Roman Soldier who run a fine race.

:08:20. > :08:25.St Barths came home well well from third. Lethal Force. In fifth,

:08:25. > :08:29.Gatepost, and B Fifty Two and North Star Boy is there just behind them,

:08:29. > :08:34.Jack Who's He then Red Aggressor who was very prominent. Mezmaar

:08:34. > :08:40.couldn't run on. Chandlery was behind them. Then Rebellious Guest

:08:40. > :08:45.who showed speed. Campanology was behind them. Then Trumpet Major and

:08:45. > :08:49.Barolo Top who was up with the leaders early. Fulbright never

:08:50. > :08:53.sighted. Evervescent was next and Pride And Joy behind them and

:08:53. > :08:57.Mitchum further back and three lengths or so to Gabrial who didn't

:08:57. > :09:02.get into it at all with the red cap and looking for the stragglers,

:09:02. > :09:07.here is Brocklebank, still another three to come. Brocklebank is way

:09:07. > :09:16.ahead there of Commissar and there the American runner, Italo has run

:09:16. > :09:20.no race at all and finished last. The winner is number 17, Power by

:09:20. > :09:30.Ryan Moore. It sounds as if the stewards are going to have a look

:09:30. > :09:31.

:09:31. > :09:36.at this. Roman Soldier ridden by George Baker and third, St Barths.

:09:36. > :09:43.There is a stewards inquiry. A stewards inquiry has been called

:09:43. > :09:47.inquiry. I very much suspect it will be into interference between

:09:47. > :09:51.the first two. They come close as they battle it out in the closing

:09:51. > :09:54.stages and both jockeys have their whips on the outside as it were. As

:09:54. > :09:58.I was watching it, I felt that Roman Soldier might have been the

:09:58. > :10:05.one leaning in more, but I could be wrong and we will look at the head

:10:05. > :10:10.on shortly, but you will see Power come through to give Aidan O'Brien

:10:10. > :10:14.his first winner of the week. He won it again. Roman Soldier has run

:10:14. > :10:18.with huge credit and they have come out of this pack. The favourite was

:10:18. > :10:22.a bit, not actually in the end, the winner was the favourite, but

:10:22. > :10:25.Mezmaar was disappointing. There is an advantage to running on the

:10:25. > :10:31.stand side, but we are looking at two descent horses here, Willie.

:10:32. > :10:36.We are indeed. This power, oasis dream, he is having a great day

:10:36. > :10:42.today. Two winners here at Royal Ascot. I didn't see a lot... When

:10:42. > :10:45.you see the head on, you will. Here we go. Ryan moorb. Oh, I see

:10:45. > :10:50.now, yes. They have had a little nudge.

:10:50. > :10:56.It is the winner. I was wrong. But it is minimal. I wouldn't have

:10:56. > :11:00.thought they will change the result. He won three parts aflength. He did

:11:00. > :11:04.go into him a nudge. The stick in the wrong hand. A little bit of a

:11:04. > :11:09.talking to by the stewards to the jockey. Be careful in the future.

:11:09. > :11:13.You never know. Something like a day's holiday just to make sure

:11:13. > :11:19.that he keeps to that rule of keeping his horse straight. But

:11:19. > :11:28.here again, this is Royal Ascot, everybody wants to win. Every.Inch

:11:28. > :11:31.horse in its rhythm and it is going off line, sometimes you allow it to

:11:31. > :11:36.happen because you are frightened to check the horse and you might

:11:36. > :11:43.get beaten. So obviously Ryan thought he ground to make up and he

:11:43. > :11:48.was keeping his horse going with his stick in the left-hand. It is

:11:48. > :11:57.his right-hand actually and he kept it going there, but I don't think

:11:57. > :12:07.there will be any change in the result. A very nice win for the

:12:07. > :12:07.

:12:07. > :12:10.team. Henry the Navigator being their last winner since 2007.

:12:10. > :12:15.Power have the right price. They have touched, but it was nothing

:12:15. > :12:21.significant and I don't think there is any doubt that the better horse

:12:21. > :12:26.of the two has won. I don't think WHO those who backed Roman Soldier

:12:26. > :12:32.would say they would have won if not for that slight bump. It is

:12:32. > :12:35.worth for the stewards to look and it is interesting to hear what Ryan

:12:35. > :12:39.Moore's defence and what George Baker has to say, does he take the

:12:39. > :12:43.view that he would have won. That's what we are going to hear in the

:12:43. > :12:46.stewards room. It is interesting the distances here. A neck between

:12:46. > :12:51.first and second and a length and a quarter between second and third.

:12:51. > :12:56.Let's have another look at them. It is hard to tell here. They will be

:12:56. > :13:00.looking at the head on. He is edging to his right, Power and they

:13:00. > :13:06.have touched, but the winning trainer is Aidan O'Brien. He is

:13:06. > :13:09.with Richard. Aidan O'Brien, what did Ryan say

:13:09. > :13:15.when he got off and heard the klaxon for the stewards inquiry?

:13:15. > :13:22.Listen, he was delighted. He gave him a great ride. It was tough out

:13:22. > :13:26.there, so it was fought hard and... Did he say anything about the way

:13:26. > :13:31.the race finished and about the fact that he was seeming going

:13:31. > :13:36.right and that's what they have called the stewards inquiry for?

:13:36. > :13:41.he didn't say anything about it. He is a horse who ran well over

:13:41. > :13:49.five furlongs. He was going on at the end of that race and looked six

:13:50. > :13:53.furlongs today. Is that fair? Seamus run him over five furlongs.

:13:53. > :13:56.Progressive, tough, hardy horse, you know. Listen, he looked like he

:13:56. > :14:02.was going to get six and further today.

:14:02. > :14:06.A big, strong two-year-old. Se more of a a two-year-old or a horse hol

:14:06. > :14:10.train on. Do you think quotes of 2,000 guineas are interesting?

:14:10. > :14:15.he is a big, powerful strong horse and he is one of those horses, he

:14:15. > :14:20.has the physique already. Most horses at two have to progress into

:14:20. > :14:28.the physique. He has it already. He is a big, powerful, strong horse.

:14:28. > :14:36.Would you be thinking of stepping up in trip? Maybe a race like the

:14:36. > :14:41.due the Dewhurst? All those things will be open to him and we could go

:14:41. > :14:43.back to the Curragh. But he is a horse that's going to get further

:14:43. > :14:48.than six. How much afrelief is it to get one

:14:48. > :14:52.under the belt on the first Dave Royal Ascot? It is -- day of Royal

:14:52. > :14:56.Ascot? It is a relief to everybody and credit to them and I am

:14:56. > :15:00.thankful to them. It is great to have a winner here. It is a very

:15:00. > :15:06.special meeting. If I can ask you about your horses

:15:06. > :15:10.that ran in the derby and any plans for Treasury Beach? The plan is for,

:15:10. > :15:19.we are looking at the Curragh with the four of them. That's what we

:15:19. > :15:22.are looking at the moment. Resit -- Recital and Seville?

:15:22. > :15:28.got back further than they would have liked in the race and probably

:15:29. > :15:38.coming down the hill was new to them, they are still very babish.

:15:38. > :15:43.Aidan, thanks for talking to us and look at the early part of the race.

:15:43. > :15:48.Here is the winner, Power. You see although he is a five furlong here,

:15:48. > :15:51.he is outpaced here. Italo, the American horse, he wants to get

:15:51. > :15:57.over to the stand-side rails. He burns out quickly this horse, but

:15:57. > :16:02.he wants a rail. He does. I grabbed John McCain ji Spencer -- Jamie

:16:02. > :16:06.Spencer and asked him why he would make such a move and he said it is

:16:06. > :16:10.better over there. He has a little bit - he is in

:16:10. > :16:16.trouble. But he is at full full stretch early on? It is amazing to

:16:16. > :16:20.think that.'s horse it -- he is a horse who won over five. He won at

:16:20. > :16:25.the Curragh. Let's look at one other. This is

:16:25. > :16:28.Jamie Spencer. He begun his move. We couldn't get him in the right

:16:28. > :16:33.position. He makes his way over. He does not make up a lot of ground

:16:33. > :16:37.this horse? He does, but he said the group this behind were way

:16:37. > :16:41.behind the others. It is Gatepost, he won a couple of

:16:41. > :16:47.starts already. His wins have been over five furlongs. There is no

:16:47. > :16:51.doubt he will be fully effective over the sixes. You see third

:16:51. > :16:55.placed, or fourth placed Lethal Force is yet to win a race, but for

:16:55. > :17:05.a maiden to be placed in a group race, these are good performances.

:17:05. > :17:11.

:17:11. > :17:18.Let's go live to the stewards room The incident is on a loop.

:17:18. > :17:22.Probably the top left screen is as good as any.

:17:22. > :17:32.George Baker and Ryan Moore being asked to examine the different

:17:32. > :17:33.

:17:33. > :17:36.footage of the finish and the stewards will look at this.. Tell

:17:36. > :17:43.us what happened? I am taking up the running. I am in front. I am

:17:43. > :17:47.running in a straight line and Mr Moore's horse has come up by me. As

:17:47. > :17:52.he has gone by his horse darted into me and I have received two

:17:52. > :17:57.relatively descent bumps coming up, you know, half a furlong from home

:17:57. > :18:03.coming up to the line. Thank you very much. Mr Moore, what

:18:03. > :18:09.can you tell us? I had a bash. He wasn't sound at the start, but when

:18:09. > :18:15.I come to challenge on the right, we just drifted towards the stand

:18:15. > :18:21.side. He has stayed straight for the the first three smacks and I

:18:21. > :18:31.hit him another one to take me down the last 100 yards. I don't think I

:18:31. > :18:32.

:18:32. > :18:37.would have done much more. He is a big horse. He got to the front and

:18:37. > :18:43.just flipped around. Mr Baker, is there anything more

:18:43. > :18:49.you want to say? Both jockeys being honest. George baker saying, "I had

:18:49. > :18:53.a couple of bumps." Ryan Moore saying why his horse has hung into

:18:53. > :18:57.the runner-up. The benefit of the doubt will go to the horse who

:18:57. > :19:03.finished in front. They have to take into account whether the horse

:19:03. > :19:10.that was interfered with might have finish in front of the interferor

:19:10. > :19:15.had the fearance not happened. I suspect Ryan Ryan moore saying he

:19:15. > :19:19.is a neck ahead. That's what he said.

:19:19. > :19:25.He went straight for the three whacks that he gave him and then

:19:25. > :19:30.the fourth. He moved across and he had to put the stick down and there

:19:30. > :19:38.was definitely one bump. George Baker said there was two, but...

:19:38. > :19:43.Did you think it made any difference? No. That's an ex-

:19:43. > :19:49.jockey's point of view. When you get in the steward's room, you

:19:49. > :19:56.would have said, "It made a big difference.". They have decided

:19:56. > :20:03.quickly which makes us think the result will be unaffected.

:20:03. > :20:07.Placings unaltered. Power wins. Roman Soldier who run well,

:20:07. > :20:13.definitely a horse to follow does stay in second place for George

:20:13. > :20:23.Baker. Aidan O'Brien can have a sigh of

:20:23. > :20:29.

:20:29. > :20:33.relief. He has his first winner on enjoying themselves and placing a

:20:33. > :20:36.bet. This is what Ascot is all about, people having a bit of fun,

:20:36. > :20:40.Olivia? This is the place to go when all the racing has finished

:20:40. > :20:46.for a good old sing song. They bring on the band and everyone has

:20:46. > :20:50.a good old arms over each other. bit of chicken dancing?! Yes.

:20:50. > :21:00.really the essence of Ascot. We've seen some great fashion today and

:21:00. > :21:00.

:21:00. > :22:56.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 52 seconds

:22:56. > :23:00.sights there. Some terribly pretty young girls, but I have to say,

:23:00. > :23:04.especially looking at that, the older ladies do do Ascot so well,

:23:04. > :23:08.don't they? They do. They're very graceful with it. They really know

:23:08. > :23:13.how to get a very well fitted suit and then just wear something bit

:23:13. > :23:16.and wonderful and fruity on top. They just look so classy. There

:23:16. > :23:20.were some really great looks there. We saw lots of different colours

:23:20. > :23:25.and it seems as though this year, I don't know whether you agree, lots

:23:25. > :23:30.of colours go together? Yes, sort of a black outfit with a mad yellow

:23:30. > :23:34.hat, I think that's been quite good. And I've seen a wonderful McQueen

:23:34. > :23:38.outfit, really beautifully fitted on another elderly lady. They're

:23:38. > :23:42.smashing it, the elderly ladies. They really are. Come back for our

:23:42. > :23:46.favourite in a little while. What a superb day it's been so far.

:23:46. > :23:51.We are going to take a pause and look back on what we have seen

:23:51. > :23:57.today. First of all, the Queen Anne Stakes, builded as a clash between

:23:57. > :24:01.two of the outstanding horses, Goldikova and Canford Cliffs. Last

:24:01. > :24:05.year, Richard Hughes played second fiddle, today he had the tools.

:24:05. > :24:10.sitting on a real machine there. What a lovely racehorse. To beat

:24:10. > :24:16.that, Queen of the horse racing world, is a marvellous achievement.

:24:16. > :24:21.She is a very, very good miler. Of course, he didn't beat her easy,

:24:21. > :24:25.but he beat her nice and comfortably. Convincing, he was,

:24:25. > :24:32.superior on the day? On the day. Supporters of Goldikova made point

:24:32. > :24:39.of the fact that after the race, it was subsequently discovered that,

:24:39. > :24:45.Peslier... The weight... He went with the wrong boots and was fined

:24:45. > :24:51.6 50 and he came back two pounds heavier than he went out. Three

:24:51. > :24:57.pound overweight then. Two in total. He was only beaten just under a

:24:57. > :25:01.length. Yes, so next time. He got 6 50 fine for changing his boots.

:25:01. > :25:05.But does that weight cost him the race? It's possibly two pound to a

:25:05. > :25:10.length over a mile. So that puts them together. It's hard to make a

:25:10. > :25:17.case for that. It's difficult. Got beat on the day and we'll have to

:25:17. > :25:24.accept that. And Mr Head said this probably just draws out her stamina.

:25:24. > :25:28.If it draws out soft, I know which one I would like to be on -

:25:28. > :25:33.Goldikova. With Frankel. What a race that would be. The King's

:25:33. > :25:37.Stand Stakes full of speed. A lot of fancied horses here in the next

:25:37. > :25:42.one. Prohibit gave Robert Cowell and Jim Crowley a massive day for

:25:42. > :25:46.their trainer and jockey. marvellous day. Rejuvenated, this

:25:46. > :25:50.horse, he won in Dubai in the winter, he's kept him going,

:25:50. > :25:55.finished third in the Temple Stakes at Haydock. He comes here, the big

:25:55. > :26:00.day that he wants to win, and he goes and wins. Fantastic for a

:26:00. > :26:03.small table, great! Four runs in the last four weeks, this horse.

:26:03. > :26:09.doesn't matter. People criticise him for that saying he run toos

:26:09. > :26:12.often and he said, I hope this reassures them today. He was in

:26:12. > :26:16.tears after the race. Hopefully this will be a spring board for him.

:26:16. > :26:21.The other star of the day was Frankel. A few people after the

:26:21. > :26:25.race said Tom Queally pressed the button too soon on this horse.

:26:25. > :26:28.Would you agree with that? Yes. What would you say to Tom after

:26:28. > :26:32.that race? Ride with more restraint and ride him as if he's a good

:26:32. > :26:37.horse, don't ride as if you are worried about him winning, you know,

:26:37. > :26:41.ride as though you are sitting on the best horse in the whole wide

:26:41. > :26:45.world. Sit there, he had him in a lovely position, a relaxed place,

:26:45. > :26:51.just stay there, wait. Wait until you get into the straight and then

:26:51. > :26:56.let him go. Me, I would have held him to the furlong myself. You are

:26:56. > :27:00.one of the best jockeys of all-time. Lester Pigott, he would have waited

:27:00. > :27:03.200 yards out. The great thing about this horse is that there's a

:27:03. > :27:06.moment in the race where he has a surge. There isn't a horse in the

:27:06. > :27:10.country, maybe not in Europe, perhaps the world, that can cope

:27:10. > :27:14.with that surge, is there? I don't think there is. I still think we

:27:14. > :27:17.haven't seen the best of him yet. It's extraordinary. When they start

:27:17. > :27:21.riding them a little more restrained and believing in the

:27:21. > :27:25.horse, believing that he's going to quicken, he's better than all the

:27:25. > :27:29.others. In the last two furlongs, he's just going to glide by them

:27:29. > :27:34.and we are going to see a fantastic horse. I don't know what they're

:27:34. > :27:38.going to run him in next, have you heard? Possibly the Sussex Stakes.

:27:38. > :27:45.Henry Cecil muted the Juddmonte International at York. The Sussex.

:27:45. > :27:50.Still to the mile? Yes e -- yes. you think he'll stick to the mile?

:27:50. > :27:56.The way he ran today, a mile and a quarter. He'll have to sit quiet,

:27:57. > :28:00.mind you. Just to set things up, tomorrow, So You Think runs over a

:28:00. > :28:04.mile and a quarter, a potential superstar in this part of the world,

:28:04. > :28:09.has been in Australia and it's possible he could meet Frankel,

:28:09. > :28:19.maybe Carlton House. A lot to watch this year. Let's look at the top

:28:19. > :28:24.

:28:24. > :28:32.opening day of the Royal meeting. We had the drama of a steward's

:28:32. > :28:36.inquiry after the Coventry, but it was survived by Sole Power and his

:28:36. > :28:41.owners. Derek Smith and John Magna going up to accept the trophy.

:28:41. > :28:46.Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore as well. Accepting it from William

:28:46. > :28:51.Fox-Pitt rapidly becoming one of the most successful three--day

:28:51. > :28:54.eventers. He's won everything! A silver medal at the World

:28:54. > :28:58.Championships, for you yourself a Thame gold as well. I guess this

:28:58. > :29:01.time next year it will all be about the Olympics? It really is building

:29:01. > :29:04.up already. We have the London test event in three weeks' time, which

:29:04. > :29:08.is very exciting to be going to Greenwich and competing there,

:29:08. > :29:11.albeit at a lower level. It's just making it feel like it's really

:29:11. > :29:14.about to happen. The point of it being in Greenwich is to make sure

:29:14. > :29:19.there isn't this massive split. The event in the last few Olympics has

:29:19. > :29:22.been a long way away and no further away than last time in Hong Kong?

:29:22. > :29:27.For equestrianism, it will be a privilege to have it as part of the

:29:27. > :29:30.Olympics. We'll feel like we belong. Often you are away to find a good

:29:30. > :29:35.facility and London will bring it all together. That will give it an

:29:35. > :29:39.added feel and atmosphere. And you would be in a near certainty for

:29:39. > :29:44.the team, fingers crossed... Well... But the thing is, you have more

:29:44. > :29:47.than one horse capable? I have a great string of horses coming on at

:29:47. > :29:50.the moment and at the moment I could have four or five that could

:29:50. > :29:56.look good for next year with great owners behind them. The next year

:29:56. > :30:00.will be critical. They've got to show their best and I'm hoping that

:30:00. > :30:05.one pushes his nose ahead to get me gold. You have a lot to look

:30:05. > :30:12.forward to in your career as an eventer. When you look around, a

:30:12. > :30:18.lot of the course is dual purpose, flat racers or jumpers. There are

:30:18. > :30:21.some beautiful horses here, there are quite a few. The trainers might

:30:21. > :30:25.be insulted because you could say they could take their hand at

:30:25. > :30:29.eventing. That's a real compliment? I think it is too, but I'm not so

:30:29. > :30:33.sure, but no, Alice and I would love one day to train, got a couple

:30:33. > :30:37.more years and maybe more eventing and riding a lovely horse. After

:30:37. > :30:43.that, this would be a dream, but for me just to be here today is a

:30:43. > :30:46.real privilege and it's great fun. Glad you are enjoying it. One day

:30:46. > :30:50.perhaps we'll interview William with a horse in the race as a

:30:50. > :30:55.trainer. So far a couple of sprints, two races over a mile and now it's

:30:55. > :30:58.a marathon, the two-and-a-half miles Ascot Stakes, Mick Fitzgerald

:30:58. > :31:01.who's been everywhere today, you have been to the start, up on the

:31:01. > :31:04.stand, in the paddock and everything. Great atmosphere. This

:31:04. > :31:14.is a different type of race entirely to what we have seen so

:31:14. > :31:16.

:31:16. > :31:21.into Swinley Bottom, it is a good climb. How big a climb is it?

:31:21. > :31:26.quite taxing. When you look at it here, you can see them as they

:31:26. > :31:30.start off. They go straight for the first bit, past the stands, nice

:31:30. > :31:34.little breeze around the bend here and once you get to this point you

:31:34. > :31:37.are free-wheeling. The thing is to let your horse find his rhythm and

:31:37. > :31:41.stride because now you are in Swinley Bottom. You can see we are

:31:41. > :31:45.climbing all the way around this bend into that straight. As we saw

:31:46. > :31:49.with Frankel, he was desperate for that line to come. It is a real

:31:49. > :31:53.test. Some people forget, especial 11 when you are watching on T --

:31:54. > :31:56.especially when you are watching on TV, just how big a test this is?

:31:56. > :32:06.The result can change dramatically because some horses have got that

:32:06. > :32:10.bit more zip, they can get into a good position. OK. That comes up at

:32:10. > :32:17.5.00pm. CLARE BALDING: David Pipe trains

:32:17. > :32:22.the favourite here, Junior. He is a Cheltenham Festival winner, he is

:32:22. > :32:25.here running in a flat race at Royal Ascot. He is fancied for next

:32:25. > :32:30.year's Grand National. He might just have a minute or two before he

:32:30. > :32:39.has to give Ryan a leg up. I won't bother Ryan. I would - can I just

:32:39. > :32:47.Junior is? He is an amazing horse. Very versatile. Whether it is

:32:47. > :32:51.hurdles, flat, chasers. One day he might be a Grand National horse?

:32:51. > :33:01.hope so. He is bidding for back-to- back wins here. Your father, Martin

:33:01. > :33:02.

:33:02. > :33:06.- I have to bring Martin in - when you paid 35,000 guineas, he said

:33:06. > :33:13.what? I told him we would be winning this in a month's time and

:33:13. > :33:17.he looked at me. You thought he was mad? I said, "You've got to be

:33:17. > :33:23.joking!" As the gallops progressed, they have proved me right. Ryan is

:33:23. > :33:29.about to get his leg up. Where's the blinkers? A lovely-looking

:33:29. > :33:36.horse. For you, David, would this be your 500th winner? You would be

:33:36. > :33:41.right, Clare. That is amazing. How many years? This is my fifth year

:33:41. > :33:47.of training so it's gone extremely well. I have had a great teacher

:33:47. > :33:51.and a great team at the yard. Owners and horses. He has top

:33:51. > :33:57.weight today. Martin, you can be dispassionate about his chances.

:33:57. > :34:03.David thinks the world of the horse. What chance of him winning this?

:34:03. > :34:07.is a lovely horse. It is a very tough race. 500 winners, it took me

:34:07. > :34:12.20 years to get 500 winners. David has done extremely well. We have

:34:12. > :34:17.every chance. It is a much tougher race. We will do our best. He is

:34:17. > :34:21.fit and well. We wish you well. Thank you very much, indeed. The

:34:22. > :34:26.team behind the favourite for the Ascot Stakes, Junior. I know today

:34:26. > :34:34.has been all about the big mile races. But for many supporters of

:34:34. > :34:43.Willie Carson, this is the moment that your nap of the race runs,

:34:43. > :34:53.Zigato? Yes. You rode Zigato's... About five generations ago. John

:34:53. > :34:55.

:34:55. > :35:05.Dunlop trained her. What year? long time ago! A very well-bred

:35:05. > :35:05.

:35:05. > :35:09.horse, Zigato. This horse won here? He had a prep around here, I think.

:35:09. > :35:14.He won that very well. We are expecting big things from him today.

:35:14. > :35:24.I will put some money on him and if he gets beat, you will give me it

:35:24. > :35:29.back, right? No! LAUGHTER There was me thinking Junior was favourite.

:35:29. > :35:33.Zigato is now favourite. We are venturing into the unknown here. He

:35:33. > :35:36.probably deserves to be favourite? He won here over two miles. You

:35:36. > :35:41.can't rehearse two-and-a-half mile races at home. Consequently, we

:35:41. > :35:45.have no idea if he will stay the last four furlongs. How will

:35:45. > :35:50.William ride him? He will try and get him to go to sleep at the back

:35:50. > :35:56.and hope he stays the trip. It is fascinating he is main favourite.

:35:56. > :36:00.You don't have that many stayers. Duncan is developing into a decent

:36:00. > :36:05.one? We are in the same boat with him. Will he run in the Gold Cup?

:36:05. > :36:10.Yes. Good. I was worrying that there were doubts. Good luck with

:36:10. > :36:17.Zigato and with Duncan later in the week. Willie, did you have a

:36:17. > :36:22.thought? Was this a race you enjoyed riding in? Of course. You

:36:22. > :36:28.always try and get a bridge on the horse's neck and get on all the

:36:28. > :36:33.weight off out of the irons and try and get the weight on the neck.

:36:33. > :36:38.Over the distance of ground, you are trying to balance your weight

:36:38. > :36:42.to help the horse a bit. It's a long way two-and-a-half miles. This

:36:42. > :36:47.is the sort of race where the jockeys go round and the funny ones

:36:47. > :36:50.will tell a joke on the way around. Will they? Yes. You have time to

:36:50. > :36:55.get to the punchline! You have plenty of time to do a lot of

:36:55. > :37:05.things. LAUGHTER Mainly, they will be concentrating on riding. Let's

:37:05. > :37:05.

:37:05. > :37:57.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 52 seconds

:37:57. > :38:07.check the field in full. over two-and-a-half miles is Zigato

:38:07. > :38:28.

:38:28. > :38:34.got one here. Willie has put up Zigato. Money for both horses here.

:38:34. > :38:43.La Estrella has been backed from 33-1 into 20-1. I will go with

:38:43. > :38:47.Willie! Runners are at the post, two-and-a-half mile start. Here is

:38:47. > :38:52.last year's winner, Junior, only a couple of starts on the flat last

:38:52. > :38:57.year. He's been busy since over jumps. Very versatile performer.

:38:57. > :39:03.Very deserving favourite? He has a solid chance in this race. He is

:39:03. > :39:08.likely to be up there. He will be hard to catch. There is Veiled who

:39:08. > :39:14.is the mount of Eddie Ahern, Kieren Fallon not riding here this

:39:14. > :39:23.afternoon. He is now with Nicky Henderson. Won on the flat a couple

:39:23. > :39:26.of times. Has had the one win on the flat this year at Newmarket.

:39:27. > :39:32.Nicky Henderson has done well with some of his flat horses? He's had a

:39:32. > :39:37.good record in the last few years. Kieren Fallon is expected to be

:39:37. > :39:41.with us tomorrow. Veiled has not won over this trip on the flat.

:39:41. > :39:51.Doing well over hurdles. You would expect him to get this trip. This

:39:51. > :39:55.

:39:55. > :39:59.is a tough race. It is a competitive running of the race.

:39:59. > :40:05.Plymouth Rock, a good trainer, a good yard, it will stay?

:40:05. > :40:13.presume this has been the plan for some time. He's had a couple of

:40:13. > :40:19.runs. Didn't get the luck in the Chester Cup. Has a big chance.

:40:19. > :40:25.would always forgive one who has not had a good run around Chester.

:40:25. > :40:31.Zigato, there he is. There will be a bit of a question mark about the

:40:31. > :40:36.trip. Absolutely. He looks like he will stay, though. There's a few

:40:36. > :40:39.more to go forward. Let's go to Jim. Last couple going forward. Mick

:40:39. > :40:43.Fitzgerald with me in the commentary box. It will be a

:40:43. > :40:49.staying test? It is. You have a lot of horses who like to force the

:40:49. > :40:54.pace. That's it. They are all in. They are off and racing and

:40:54. > :41:03.Australia Day got a flier down near the inside and is away very quickly.

:41:03. > :41:07.Away fairly well too Rattan and up there too is Yorgunnabelucky in

:41:07. > :41:15.about fourth or fifth. Australia Day is going to be the early leader

:41:15. > :41:19.and Junior is up there in search of a handy position on the outside.

:41:19. > :41:22.Further back in the field Australia Day, not really settling, then the

:41:22. > :41:27.blue cap of Tyrrells Wood just behind them, further back Veiled is

:41:27. > :41:32.smothered on the inside, the yellow cap, then the orange cap on the

:41:32. > :41:38.outside of Private Story, then out wider is Ermyn Lodge. They race up

:41:38. > :41:42.now across the intersection. Junior out in front, winner of this race

:41:42. > :41:50.last year, leads by a couple of lengths to Australia Day in second,

:41:50. > :41:57.two lengths third is Becausewecan, Tyrrells Wood, then Ermyn Lodge,

:41:57. > :42:03.Veiled is behind them followed by Private Story, Ashbrittle is not

:42:03. > :42:11.that far off them with the red cap. Travelling in the centre there we

:42:11. > :42:18.see Yorgunnabelucky. Then out deeper on the track is Sunwise in

:42:18. > :42:24.the colours, then La Estrella, out the back is Unleashed, giving them

:42:24. > :42:30.a start, so too Zigato and last is Palomar. Junior trying to do what

:42:30. > :42:40.he did last year and probably at the same pace? He is. He is going a

:42:40. > :42:43.

:42:43. > :42:48.decent gallop. Ryan Moore will be be keeping the clock. Also Palomar,

:42:48. > :42:54.a real hold-up merchant at the back. So a good even gallop being set by

:42:54. > :42:57.Ryan Moore on Junior, leads by a length-and-a-half to Ermyn Lodge,

:42:57. > :43:02.Australia Day, Tyrrells Wood in fourth, Becausewecan in fifth

:43:02. > :43:05.position, Veiled is not that far away. In behind them is Desert Sea

:43:05. > :43:11.on the inside of Yorgunnabelucky. They are running downhill to

:43:11. > :43:16.Swinley Bottom as they start to pack. Sunwise is just behind them,

:43:16. > :43:23.taking to the outside very sharply Blizzard Blues, back in the field,

:43:23. > :43:31.Rattan on the inside, Ashbrittle, followed by the white cap of La

:43:31. > :43:35.Estrella, still Zigato out the back at this stage as they go to Swinley

:43:35. > :43:40.Bottom. Junior is a long way in front of Zigato. William Buick will

:43:40. > :43:45.want to get him a bit more forward here. 15 lengths separating the

:43:45. > :43:51.leader Junior and Zigato at this stage but the pace has been on from

:43:51. > :43:55.the outset. Junior by half a length, to Ermyn Lodge, they are three

:43:55. > :43:58.lengths to Australia Day, two lengths further back Becausewecan,

:43:58. > :44:02.Tyrrells Wood and now Veiled has taken to the outside. They are

:44:02. > :44:07.clear of Sunwise who is giving them a start now as they race up the

:44:07. > :44:12.side. Also Private Story trying to get into it now, Desert Sea ridden

:44:12. > :44:16.on the inside, Ashbrittle on the inner, they are followed by Phoenix

:44:16. > :44:20.Flight and further back in the field then is the white cap of La

:44:20. > :44:24.Estrella. He is rowing away. He is not making much ground. Rattan in

:44:24. > :44:29.the field, but can't get a run. Coming around the turn and Junior's

:44:29. > :44:33.gone, he's dropped out. Ermyn Lodge has skipped away by three lengths

:44:33. > :44:37.to Veiled who is giving chase. Australia Day flat to the boards in

:44:37. > :44:42.third as they straighten, followed by Becausewecan, Sunwise is running

:44:42. > :44:47.on fairly well. They straighten up, they have two furlongs to travel in

:44:47. > :44:50.the Ascot Stakes. Ermyn Lodge by a length-and-a-half. The danger is

:44:50. > :44:55.Veiled, racing to him with every stride now. It is Veiled on the

:44:55. > :44:59.outside, she gets her head in front, they are clear of Phoenix Flight,

:44:59. > :45:04.then Rattan from a long way back, but Veiled has the lead with 100

:45:04. > :45:09.yards to go. It is Veiled by three lengths now and Veiled is starting

:45:09. > :45:14.to come away, Veiled for a good win up to the line goes on to win it

:45:14. > :45:18.well for Eddie Ahern. A tight second, Ermyn Lodge on the inside

:45:18. > :45:22.of Phoenix Flight and Zigato from a long way back has got up for fourth.

:45:22. > :45:26.Further back La Estrella, they are clear of Rattan, Sunwise, Palomar

:45:26. > :45:30.ran on, Junior got tired, Ashbrittle behind them,

:45:31. > :45:36.Becausewecan was next, Australia Day, then Private Story, behind

:45:36. > :45:40.them was Yorgunnabelucky, Plymouth Rock was well back so too was

:45:41. > :45:49.Blizzard Blues, in company with Tyrrells Wood and one of the last

:45:49. > :45:55.Desert Sea. So Veiled, trained by Nicky Henderson, has won this Ascot

:45:55. > :46:00.Stakes. It is very tight for second. Look at this. Ooh! Looks like Ermyn

:46:00. > :46:06.Lodge on the evidence of that has got second, ahead of Phoenix Flight.

:46:06. > :46:12.Then Zigato back in fourth. Then in fifth is La Estrella. And then a

:46:12. > :46:17.gap to Rattan who was going well, couldn't get a run before the turn.

:46:17. > :46:24.Then behind them was Palomar, followed by Sunwise. Let's roll it

:46:24. > :46:29.on. They thr are long intervals now between them. -- there are long

:46:29. > :46:33.intervals now between them. There was Junior. Then Ashbrittle, then

:46:33. > :46:38.Becausewecan. Let's see the others crossing the line. There is

:46:38. > :46:42.Australia Day. He had a perfect run. Didn't stay. Didn't get there. The

:46:42. > :46:46.others are still coming in at very long intervals. There they are,

:46:46. > :46:53.another three or four there. But the winner there, Mick, but what

:46:53. > :46:58.about Zigato? How far back was he? He had a very troubled passage

:46:58. > :47:04.trying to get through. He wasn't able to get through. Eddie Ahern,

:47:04. > :47:09.delighted for him. He has ridden another winner for Nicky Henderson

:47:09. > :47:15.in the past. CLARE BALDING: He has indeed. That is why Eddie Ahern has

:47:15. > :47:20.been the go-to man after Kieren Fallon let him down this morning.

:47:20. > :47:30.He has missed a Royal Ascot winner because of it. The only Cricked

:47:30. > :47:37.neck Eddie Ahern was going to get was seeing twr the others were. --

:47:37. > :47:43.seeing where the others were. That is his seventh Royal Ascot winner.

:47:43. > :47:48.He's done this very well. Look at Zigato finishing so fast to be in

:47:48. > :47:56.the photofinish for second. He's had two-and-a-half miles. Anyway,

:47:56. > :48:01.this was a Nicky Henderson trained horse. His record on the flat is

:48:01. > :48:08.second to none. His percentage to winners to runners is fantastic,

:48:08. > :48:11.especially in these long distance races. Eddie Ahern, who has ridden

:48:11. > :48:15.a few long distance winners in the past, he will have enjoyed this

:48:15. > :48:23.very much. Coming to the races, not knowing he is going to ride it and

:48:23. > :48:29.riding a winner. Let's hear from Nicky Henderson. He was receiving

:48:29. > :48:33.congratulations from the Gold Cup- winninging owner. We are at Royal

:48:33. > :48:39.Ascot and this is no unusual occurrence for you, a Royal Ascot

:48:39. > :48:49.winner now? It's a bit unusual. We have been placed in this before.

:48:49. > :48:50.

:48:50. > :48:54.This is a lovely filly. There was a moment where Eddie Ahern has a look

:48:54. > :49:00.around as he goes past the eventual, might be the runner up, not sure, I

:49:00. > :49:04.suppose that must have filled you with a lot of confidence? She was

:49:04. > :49:09.bound to like the trip. She was very impressive over two-and-a-half

:49:09. > :49:14.at Cheltenham. We had to bring her back to a mile and six at Newmarket

:49:14. > :49:18.to move her handicap up to get her in here. I did say to Kieren Fallon,

:49:18. > :49:24.who was going to ride her today, you can win as far as you like

:49:24. > :49:33.because I need to go up as much as you need to to get her in. We got

:49:33. > :49:39.her in. That was the plan. A quick word with Eddie Ahern. Is this a

:49:39. > :49:45.good spare ride? I thought beforehand he had a big chance. On

:49:45. > :49:49.the way in everyone was calling me Kieren Fallon! Is that a bad

:49:49. > :49:53.thing?! It wasn't a bad performance today. You had a moment where you

:49:53. > :50:00.had a glance around at the horse on the inside? I knew nothing was

:50:00. > :50:04.going to come to my left. I had the big screen so I was keeping an eye

:50:04. > :50:08.on that. The further I was going, the better she was going. Then

:50:08. > :50:12.coming up towards the photographers, she started idling a bit.

:50:12. > :50:16.travelled beautifully? It was so easy. I now understand what it is

:50:16. > :50:25.like to be Tom Queally. Not quite the same! I know what you are

:50:25. > :50:35.saying. Well done. Thanks. Your winner of the Ascot Stakes is

:50:35. > :50:43.

:50:43. > :50:48.race will be on the red button. A bookie got knocked over in the last

:50:48. > :50:52.race, now 5-2. Just before we look at our

:50:52. > :50:56.favourite hat of the day - could you pick over these lovely ladies

:50:56. > :50:59.down here? They are wearing some really sweet outfits. They said

:50:59. > :51:03.they got them from the high street. They have teamed them up

:51:03. > :51:06.beautifully with little hats made by one of the girls themselves?

:51:06. > :51:11.Very clever! They look really stylish. Loving them. You have

:51:11. > :51:15.picked out our outfit of the day. have. Let's see what she looks like.

:51:15. > :51:22.Terrific hat? That hat is a work of art. This lady designed the outfit

:51:22. > :51:26.herself. Then she passed it on to some local hat makers and dress

:51:26. > :51:33.makers in Ascot. Look what they have done. There's wonderful

:51:33. > :51:37.corseting at the back, just very, very chic. You can't go wrong with

:51:37. > :51:42.the cream outfit? You can't. Beautiful. It's been lovely to have

:51:42. > :51:46.you with me today. Thank you very much. My pleasure. Thank you.

:51:46. > :51:52.CLARE BALDING: Those have been the fashion headlines. On the course we

:51:52. > :51:56.celebrated the success in the Queen Anne of Canford Cliffs. Very

:51:56. > :52:03.different style for Frankel but he still emerged victorious hitting

:52:03. > :52:09.the front a long way from home and hanging on to beat Zoffany. And

:52:09. > :52:13.that triggered three cheers for Sir Henry Cecil. My word, what a horse

:52:13. > :52:23.Frankel is and Canford Cliffs. Tomorrow, we could be looking at a

:52:23. > :52:24.

:52:24. > :52:34.new superstar. We ARE! I can't wait to see So You Think. We come on air

:52:34. > :52:41.excited about. He was bred in New Zealand. He's been racing in

:52:41. > :52:45.Australia. Now in the care of Aidan O'Brien in Ireland. Aidaan reckons

:52:45. > :52:50.it could be the best he has ever trained. We are getting excited

:52:50. > :52:54.about this horse because of what Aidan has said about him. He has

:52:54. > :52:58.given him such a big build-up. been a glorious start here to Royal

:52:58. > :53:02.Ascot, the sun has been shining. We have enjoyed it very much. Our

:53:02. > :53:06.coverage continues on the red button. We will be bringing you the

:53:06. > :53:09.final race of the day and all the highlights. For those of you on BBC

:53:09. > :53:19.Two, we wish you goodbye. Join us tomorrow and thank you for watching.
