:00:35. > :00:35.at a furious pace. And he scores. The fans go wild, what a magnificent

:00:36. > :00:56.try. a West Yorkshire invasion. 17 miles

:00:57. > :01:02.separate Castleford and Leeds, and fans of both clubs are out in force.

:01:03. > :01:06.In fact, supporters come from across the globe for rugby league's big day

:01:07. > :01:18.out. Good afternoon, this is the Challenge Cup final. Cue the band.

:01:19. > :01:23.COMMENTATOR: Castleford making history by winning the cup for the

:01:24. > :01:31.first time, a magnificent performance. He has missed it! Leeds

:01:32. > :01:40.have won the Rugby league Challenge Cup! Here they come, the second year

:01:41. > :01:52.in succession. There is the cup. It is a try! The little man is in.

:01:53. > :02:14.Another try! Look at the excitement! It is going to be finished by Danny

:02:15. > :02:20.McGuire! Lee Jewitt with the try that confirms Castleford a place in

:02:21. > :02:26.the semifinals! In they come for the finish! Webster... Try! Castleford

:02:27. > :02:42.are going to Wembley. Joel Moon! Lifting Leeds's hopes

:02:43. > :02:44.higher again. Is this going to be the year that they finally win it?

:02:45. > :02:45.Judeo you that nowhere else on earth will

:02:46. > :03:06.try to Segway that. Brian Noble, Jon Wilkin and Eorl

:03:07. > :03:10.Crabtree with me. This game close to call. It is, if you look at the

:03:11. > :03:14.league positions, the games they have played, only two points

:03:15. > :03:17.separating them. They are fabulously talented teams that can beat each

:03:18. > :03:23.other on their day. It is all about who prepares the better. Where does

:03:24. > :03:26.the derby element coming to it? It is not a big factor, what is what is

:03:27. > :03:30.interesting is not the distance in miles, it is the difference in

:03:31. > :03:34.resources. Leeds are vast Lee resourced, they are placed in a city

:03:35. > :03:39.and have done fantastically well to build a strong product. Castleford

:03:40. > :03:43.are chronically under resourced over 15, 20 years, and bizarrely they

:03:44. > :03:47.have got to the same point on the field. That is exceptional. Has it

:03:48. > :03:51.shocked the game that Castleford are here? Not that they are here, but

:03:52. > :03:57.the resources they have, to produce what they can on the field, it is

:03:58. > :04:02.exceptional and it deserves cricket. There is the Castleford team coming

:04:03. > :04:06.out to warm up. Not a lot to choose between these two teams, Eorl

:04:07. > :04:09.Crabtree. Forget the distance and the resources, they have identical

:04:10. > :04:14.Super League records, and the last time they met, they drew. I was at

:04:15. > :04:18.that game at Headingley, and it was the best game I have seen all

:04:19. > :04:21.season. End to end rugby. Both teams playing an exciting brand of rugby,

:04:22. > :04:25.throwing it around and attacking. That is what it was all about on

:04:26. > :04:30.that day. Very close, right down to the wire and they got the draw.

:04:31. > :04:36.Hopefully it will be a repeat this afternoon. Hopefully again nobody

:04:37. > :04:39.loses it. When you talk about preparation you talking about the

:04:40. > :04:45.week leading up to the Challenge Cup final, or the last four weeks, five

:04:46. > :04:49.weeks? It is this week but certainly the question mark for Leeds, they

:04:50. > :04:54.will be talking about the runners-up situation. Brian McDermott, maybe a

:04:55. > :04:59.monkey on his back is involved. But for Castleford, stage fright is what

:05:00. > :05:03.they will be talking about, will this occasion and arena hamper their

:05:04. > :05:10.performance? Or Daryl Powell, he has done a brilliant job, as he kept

:05:11. > :05:14.them, not to perform? It is all about performance today. Castleford

:05:15. > :05:17.will be scared, Leeds will be scared because they have failed here

:05:18. > :05:23.before. Both using fear to motivate them. Is it scary the first time you

:05:24. > :05:27.play here? It is scary every time you play here, walking out in front

:05:28. > :05:32.of 76,000 people, it is an unbelievable feeling. They will be

:05:33. > :05:38.nervous. John mentioned the resources, if you talk to the

:05:39. > :05:42.Castleford Chief Executive, Steve Gill, and given where they are, the

:05:43. > :05:55.town is ready to party. It has been 28 year since we last

:05:56. > :06:03.lifted the Challenge Cup. I can't sleep. Come on Castleford! I was not

:06:04. > :06:08.even born the last time we won the Challenge Cup. Now we get to play

:06:09. > :06:13.our great rivals, Leeds, at Wembley. That is all it is. There will be

:06:14. > :06:18.nobody left in this town on Saturday. Can the last one out

:06:19. > :06:24.please switch off the lights! Good luck on Saturday. Come on! The

:06:25. > :06:27.semifinal victory, it was fantastic, everybody is buzzing, everybody in

:06:28. > :06:32.the shirt, everybody wants to see a player and get an autograph. We are

:06:33. > :06:37.the Castleford Tigers and we are off to Wembley! Everybody talking about

:06:38. > :06:38.Castleford, it is fantastic. If he said at the start of the season we

:06:39. > :06:40.Castleford, it is fantastic. If he said at the start of were going to

:06:41. > :06:47.Wembley, they would have put you in the funny farm! All done. All we

:06:48. > :06:54.need now is a Castleford victory! Guaranteed! STUDIO: That looks very

:06:55. > :06:59.painful! So, the town is here, and as I said, the supporters come from

:07:00. > :07:03.across the globe to watch the Challenge Cup final. I am delighted

:07:04. > :07:07.to say that with me here at Wembley, we have got Luke Dorn's father and

:07:08. > :07:13.brother, they have come all the way from Australia to watch this.

:07:14. > :07:16.Peter, how excited are you? I am over the moon. Luke Dorn came over

:07:17. > :07:21.here nine years ago, I never thought there was a chance that we were

:07:22. > :07:26.going to walk out to Wembley, and yes, just so excited. I would not

:07:27. > :07:30.have missed it for the world. Ethan, you have never seen him play

:07:31. > :07:35.in the flesh. He left to come here when you were six years old. That is

:07:36. > :07:39.it, I have been waiting for this my whole life. I used to cry to my mum

:07:40. > :07:43.when Luke Dorn first left, saying I was never going to see him play and

:07:44. > :07:47.I wanted to get over here. Now I am here at Wembley, it is unbelievable.

:07:48. > :07:52.Was it hard seeing your brother leaving home when you were so young?

:07:53. > :07:55.Yet it is. I still get emotional every time he comes home now, but it

:07:56. > :08:02.is what he loves and sometime... I wish some time I will do it. I hope

:08:03. > :08:06.this afternoon goes the way you want it to and you enjoy yourselves and

:08:07. > :08:09.are very proud of your brother and son. Thank you for joining us. Let's

:08:10. > :08:16.hear from Luke Dorn's coach, Daryl Powell. He is with Damien. You made

:08:17. > :08:19.a big call about Craig Huby, he desiccated his elbow a couple of

:08:20. > :08:23.weeks ago. How on earth have you got him fit and is it a risk? Theirs was

:08:24. > :08:28.a risk attached with things like that but he will be strapped up

:08:29. > :08:31.pretty heavily. He has an everything that has been asked of him in

:08:32. > :08:35.preparation. For me, I think he has been fine, he is ready to go. He has

:08:36. > :08:39.done everything in training. He has whacked people about and he should

:08:40. > :08:43.be fine. Everybody knows about your connections with Leeds, you played

:08:44. > :08:47.there, you coach them, and you played in that game in 1999. You

:08:48. > :08:52.must have very fond memories of that, winning the Challenge Cup. It

:08:53. > :08:56.was a great day. Obviously Leroy got all of the accolades, I was just

:08:57. > :09:02.pleased to be involved in the first try. It was a special day for

:09:03. > :09:05.everybody at the club, it has been a long time since everybody had won it

:09:06. > :09:08.before that, 1978. It was a superb day, and to have my girls on the

:09:09. > :09:11.pitch as well, it was pretty special. No doubt about which side

:09:12. > :09:16.you will be on today. Good luck. STUDIO: Eorl Crabtree, when you were

:09:17. > :09:20.in the Huddersfield dressing room at the start of the season, did you

:09:21. > :09:24.talk about Castleford as being a threat? To be honest, you do not

:09:25. > :09:27.speak about teams like that, you talk about yourself and focus on

:09:28. > :09:30.yourself. It is something that Castleford have done, they have gone

:09:31. > :09:34.out there and worked hard for each other. What they have done so far

:09:35. > :09:41.has worked and look at them now, it is fantastic. Do not mean this in

:09:42. > :09:44.any disparaging way for Daryl Powell, but as a coach can you be

:09:45. > :09:47.the right man at the right time? He recruited well. If you look at what

:09:48. > :09:49.he did, sometimes you take a punt on people, and cannot be quite as

:09:50. > :09:52.successful that he has managed to bring back a lot of players that

:09:53. > :09:55.have clicked for him. He has created an unbelievable spirit at the club

:09:56. > :10:02.right throughout it and you can see that reflected throughout that piece

:10:03. > :10:07.with the fans. There is a genuine togetherness. Let's go through the

:10:08. > :10:11.side that he has picked, Brian. Blistering pace from Luke Dorn. That

:10:12. > :10:15.will be essential. Justin Carney is back from suspension, the

:10:16. > :10:20.blockbuster, fiery and aggressive player, alongside Kirk Dixon who has

:10:21. > :10:23.ten Super League tries this season. New Zealand international Jake

:10:24. > :10:29.Webster. He missed most of 2013, and he is back to his best form. The in

:10:30. > :10:34.an England international and local boy, Michael Shenton, inspirational

:10:35. > :10:39.form. Marc Sneyd has more try assists than anybody else, and in

:10:40. > :10:43.the Irish international, Liam Finn. And what a front row, great to be

:10:44. > :10:47.coming back from a dislocated elbow, inspirational. Andy Lynch, Super

:10:48. > :10:52.League man of steel according to his coach, Daryl Powell. And watch out

:10:53. > :10:58.for Darrell Clarke from dummy half. And then the back three, the local

:10:59. > :11:01.boys, Oliver Holmes, the unsung hero of the team, Nathan Massey as well

:11:02. > :11:06.and then Weller Hauraki, he has pace and power. And on the bench, Frankie

:11:07. > :11:10.Mariano, Scott Wheeldon, the former Hull and London player. Two big boys

:11:11. > :11:15.that will come on to assist Craig Huby. Jamie Ellis gets the nod

:11:16. > :11:19.before Adam Milner, and he can play half-backs as well. His kicking will

:11:20. > :11:24.be vital. And what a story for Lee Jewitt, he was playing Championship

:11:25. > :11:27.Rugby and France not long ago. A remarkable story, the one that

:11:28. > :11:31.belongs to Lee Jewitt. That is how Castleford line-up this afternoon.

:11:32. > :11:36.This is how Robbie Hunter Paul thinks they are going to play. There

:11:37. > :11:40.is a saying in rugby league that there are two types of players, your

:11:41. > :11:44.piano players, the half-backs, they finish off and make the game sexy,

:11:45. > :11:48.and then is the piano pushers, the donkeys in the middle of the park.

:11:49. > :11:52.That is these guys warming up. Castleford have two of the very

:11:53. > :11:55.best. The first guy to look at it Andy Lynch. He is on the far side

:11:56. > :11:58.over there, just running through these patterns. He is a leader. He

:11:59. > :12:02.will lead from the front, the way that he plays in the words that he

:12:03. > :12:07.says. Also you have to look at Craig Huby, he picked himself up after

:12:08. > :12:12.getting that horrendous dislocation on his elbow only two weeks ago. You

:12:13. > :12:16.can see him there, going in to make that tackle. Coming out of the back

:12:17. > :12:19.end. You can see that, if they do their job right, they will be able

:12:20. > :12:22.to release the skills of Darrell Clarke. And Darrell Clarke has been

:12:23. > :12:26.out and out one of the best players in the Super League this year. He is

:12:27. > :12:32.a contender for the man of steel award.

:12:33. > :12:38.If I was with the Castleford forwards, I would not refer to them

:12:39. > :12:42.as donkeys! It was risky! That is why he was running away from them.

:12:43. > :12:48.If you are looking at these three, but it is Carol Clark in particular.

:12:49. > :12:54.He is crucial. Every time there is a player left on the floor, expect to

:12:55. > :12:57.see him, one of the best hookers in the world coming out of the dummy

:12:58. > :13:02.half. He thrives on that vision, he asks for his team-mates there. And

:13:03. > :13:05.what we see, you can see his ability to come out from dummy half when

:13:06. > :13:10.somebody is left on the ground. Again, Widnes Vikings in the

:13:11. > :13:15.semifinal, this happened to regulate and he had a field day, averaging

:13:16. > :13:20.10.5 metres every time he touches the ball. This sums up what Darrell

:13:21. > :13:23.Clarke and Castleford are all about. You have one player retreating out

:13:24. > :13:27.of the tackle, and another player on the ground again, and his vision

:13:28. > :13:31.spotting this. This is what he says to his team-mates, flatten up and

:13:32. > :13:34.pushed because I will be creating something and that is what he did.

:13:35. > :13:38.It is worth noting as well, Brian hit it right on the head, Luke Dorn

:13:39. > :13:41.will be there everyone of those times. It has led to some fantastic

:13:42. > :13:54.tries for Castleford, and that is how important Daryl Clark is. If he

:13:55. > :13:58.had his arms out like that can you stop the game? As a hooker, you have

:13:59. > :14:01.one defender there and he is relying on his forwards to make sure they

:14:02. > :14:05.get in that position. This one, it is because of the forwards. You have

:14:06. > :14:08.two stop Daryl Clark from running, you have two control the ruck and

:14:09. > :14:13.make sure that you have markers there and you control the ruck. As

:14:14. > :14:16.far as Andy Lynch and Craig Huby are concerned, given the dislocated

:14:17. > :14:21.elbow that Craig Huby suffered two weeks ago, if you were against him

:14:22. > :14:26.today, John, would you target him? I do not think the issue for Craig

:14:27. > :14:30.Huby is going to be how Leeds target him, it will be his own mentality.

:14:31. > :14:35.They will be sore today, and no doubt about it, you can see the pain

:14:36. > :14:39.two weeks ago. If he plays today he will be in pain, but he is that

:14:40. > :14:43.important to Castleford, him and Andy Lynch. As they said, playing

:14:44. > :14:49.the ball quickly, mixing it up. Not only do they run the ball, they pass

:14:50. > :14:52.the ball as well. It was such a bad dislocation two weeks ago, they

:14:53. > :14:53.could not put it back in on the field, they could not put it back

:14:54. > :14:56.could not put it back in on the field, they could not put it in at

:14:57. > :15:02.the ground, they had to take him to hospital. He cannot be full flow?

:15:03. > :15:05.The first question Craig Huby will have been asking, was there any

:15:06. > :15:10.damage to the bone. I am pretty confident they have set out the

:15:11. > :15:13.plan, I will play in the final. Daryl Powell was confident. Craig

:15:14. > :15:17.Huby was the key. He has done everything that is required to get

:15:18. > :15:22.onto this stage. I love the fact that I winced, and you think you can

:15:23. > :15:26.come back in two weeks! That is why you are in broadcasting! It is

:15:27. > :15:30.slightly different to rugby. It is a lot easier holding the microphone

:15:31. > :15:36.then having to deal with Craig Huby on a weekly basis! I will take your

:15:37. > :15:41.word on that. Let's get a view from the Leeds camp, we can hear from

:15:42. > :15:44.Brian McDermott. Here we are again. Do you think your players and your

:15:45. > :15:48.experience of the big occasion and a big final will be a factor today? It

:15:49. > :15:52.might help, but as I have been saying all week, it properly helps

:15:53. > :15:56.more with preparation. Once the referee blows its whistle and it is

:15:57. > :15:59.on, you have got to play well. As we all know, it is hard to do that, it

:16:00. > :16:03.is hard to play well in the final and that is the task for us today.

:16:04. > :16:08.Have you changed anything in your preparation from previous years? You

:16:09. > :16:09.are always looking to improve, I do not think we have got anything

:16:10. > :16:11.dramatically wrong not think we have got anything

:16:12. > :16:14.dramatically in the past, but sometimes on game day that

:16:15. > :16:19.performance has eluded us. That is something that we will be looking

:16:20. > :16:22.for. I do not think there is anything major that we need to fix

:16:23. > :16:25.up. We have been there in the last two or three years. We are doing

:16:26. > :16:30.something right to even get there, we just had to make sure that we

:16:31. > :16:34.nail that performance today. That is the Leeds head coach. There is the

:16:35. > :16:37.Leeds squad. If he ever wondered which Leeds player can do the Rubik

:16:38. > :16:43.'s cube and play a guitar at the same time, then wonder no more! Been

:16:44. > :16:50.macro IM Rob Burrow, and this is the Leeds Rhinos. -- IM Rob Burrow, and

:16:51. > :16:53.this is the Leeds Rhinos. At full-back we have Zak Hardaker, a

:16:54. > :16:58.real competitor, big and fast, and he does things on the pitch that

:16:59. > :17:05.will freak you out. And we are going back to Wembley. On one wing we have

:17:06. > :17:08.Tom Briscoe, he is a real key player, in the last semifinal

:17:09. > :17:12.against Warrington he scored the matchwinner. He is so strong and

:17:13. > :17:17.powerful. On the other wing, we have Ryan Hall, a bit of a geek, very

:17:18. > :17:21.intelligent, you will often see him with the Rubik 's cube in his hand,

:17:22. > :17:27.playing the guitar. He is one of those guys that is good at things.

:17:28. > :17:30.At half-backs you have Danny McGuire and Kevin Sinfield, plenty of

:17:31. > :17:33.experience between them, they are behind everything that goes right.

:17:34. > :17:38.They orchestrate everything we do well. As one prop, it is Jamie

:17:39. > :17:42.Peacock. Although he is getting older and older, he seems to be

:17:43. > :17:45.getting better and better. A massive inspirational figure in our team,

:17:46. > :17:51.and he needs to play well in the big games. On second row we have Carl

:17:52. > :17:56.Ablett, or 40-20 at the lads like to know him, the reason being that he

:17:57. > :17:58.looks 40 but he is actually only 20! In the second row, Jamie

:17:59. > :18:07.Jones-Buchanan, he stands out with his big, bushy beard. And he sprints

:18:08. > :18:14.away! I at her car, you will see me running away from the big guys,

:18:15. > :18:17.trying to get forwards. That I am at her car.

:18:18. > :18:28.Look at that, Zak Hardaker at full-back, then Ryan Hall, he has

:18:29. > :18:32.got that new five-year deal, and he needs a hat-trick for the career

:18:33. > :18:37.200. World-class centres, Joel Moon and Kallum Watkins. Two-time

:18:38. > :18:42.runner-up in the competition, and the Australian recently signed

:18:43. > :18:50.himself a five-year deal. Super League all-time leading try scorer,

:18:51. > :18:54.Danny McGuire, partnering with Kevin Sinfield, the all-time leading

:18:55. > :18:56.points scorer. Kylie Leuluai why, Rob Burrow and Jamie Peacock in

:18:57. > :19:02.there, the power and speed coming out of dummy half. And in the back

:19:03. > :19:05.three, the local boy Jamie Jones-Buchanan, Carl Ablett, your

:19:06. > :19:09.weight comes up big in the big games, and then Brett Delaney, the

:19:10. > :19:13.Australian. And then coming from the bench, the aggressive style of Ryan

:19:14. > :19:16.Bailey in the front row and the Papa New Guinea International Paul Aiton

:19:17. > :19:21.will give Rob Burrow the rest he needs during the game. Local young

:19:22. > :19:24.sensation Liam Sutcliffe is in there to replace the halves, and then Ian

:19:25. > :19:30.Kirke is also on the bench, he will add some size.

:19:31. > :19:33.I have got Jamie Peacock with me, the Leeds players have

:19:34. > :19:35.I have got Jamie Peacock with me, the Leeds players just finished

:19:36. > :19:39.their warm up. Our preparations gone? It has gone really well, we

:19:40. > :19:45.just want to get out and play. That is the thing. A lot of players out

:19:46. > :19:49.there, Tom Briscoe, Ryan Hall, but you have got to set the platform.

:19:50. > :19:53.Castleford have a good middle and we need to set around there if we are

:19:54. > :19:56.going to win the game. STUDIO: This is obviously a ridiculous question

:19:57. > :20:02.to ask because everybody watching will know the answer, but how

:20:03. > :20:05.important is that man to Leeds this afternoon? He is massively

:20:06. > :20:09.important. The way they have been playing has been fantastic. He is a

:20:10. > :20:12.freak of nature, the things that he does, they pretty much should be

:20:13. > :20:21.impossible but he makes them happen. What he does is work so hard in the

:20:22. > :20:24.middle, taking hundreds of carries, off-loading. Rob Burrow, you can see

:20:25. > :20:27.him there, using his size to his advantage. Turning in the tackle,

:20:28. > :20:31.looking for the float, and Rob Burrow will be sniffing around the

:20:32. > :20:34.back and looking in his eyes. Like a good half-backs, that is what he

:20:35. > :20:37.will do. That is when Leeds are playing well, when they are on the

:20:38. > :20:42.front foot and their big players are having big games. Andy Lynch is

:20:43. > :20:48.being talked about by Daryl Powell as a possible man of steel, is Jamie

:20:49. > :20:53.Peacock in that group as well? Absolutely. He is an inspiration, he

:20:54. > :20:57.has played over 500 games, I think today is number 254 Leeds. He

:20:58. > :21:00.carries the ball more than anybody else, and statistical tell you that

:21:01. > :21:05.when they are in trouble, he will rock up and do something

:21:06. > :21:09.sensational. What is he like to do something against? He is ruthless

:21:10. > :21:13.and relentless. He keeps coming and his workrate is sensational. That is

:21:14. > :21:17.what makes him a standout player. But I believe what Jamie brings to

:21:18. > :21:21.Leeds is more than the performances on the field, he is a leader and he

:21:22. > :21:27.needs this Leeds team. And also his experience, it is comforting for

:21:28. > :21:30.guys in this team. When you prepare in his dressing room and you see the

:21:31. > :21:33.likes of Jamie Peacock and Kevin Sinfield in front of you. When I

:21:34. > :21:36.played in these big games we had Kieron Cunningham, walking around

:21:37. > :21:39.the changing room in front of me, and as a young guy, it feels you

:21:40. > :21:46.with confidence. And Castleford do not have that today. And interesting

:21:47. > :21:49.about Jamie, I think I am correct in saying that he is the only winner in

:21:50. > :21:53.that team, he won the Challenge Cup with Bradford and has done it twice.

:21:54. > :21:57.That will be a massive help for them. There are all sorts of stories

:21:58. > :22:01.around this final and one of them is quite nice, and that is that Rob

:22:02. > :22:05.Burrow used to coach Darrell Clarke at the Airedale Academy when he was

:22:06. > :22:14.12 or 13, and he probably did too good a job. They go head to head

:22:15. > :22:16.today. We have seen Rob Burrow perform sensationally four Leeds,

:22:17. > :22:20.but Daryl Clark is the new kid on the block and is earning his tag is

:22:21. > :22:24.one of the best in the world. If you look at the meters and the brakes,

:22:25. > :22:30.Daryl Clark is the leading break maker in the Super League. Rob

:22:31. > :22:34.Burrow, his left footed kick is more influential for the Leeds team, and

:22:35. > :22:39.Daryl Clark is more about running. It will be fascinating to watch that

:22:40. > :22:42.this afternoon. We have met this Leeds team, let's meet Castleford.

:22:43. > :22:48.The Joker in their pack, Jake Webster.

:22:49. > :22:53.All right guys, Jake Webster from the Castleford Tigers. Follow me and

:22:54. > :22:59.we will come and meet some of the lads. The most capped Ireland

:23:00. > :23:04.international, as you keep saying around the club, tennis about that.

:23:05. > :23:08.Left or obviously, born and raised...

:23:09. > :23:15.We have got the superstar, Daryl Clark. My man of steel by far.

:23:16. > :23:18.Hopefully you keep it up this week. Looking to have a good performance

:23:19. > :23:23.individually, but if we play well as a team we will not go far one.

:23:24. > :23:31.Weller Hauraki, how are you doing? You are looking mean! Any advice for

:23:32. > :23:34.the boys? Just a calm, it is all about the grass, not getting to het

:23:35. > :23:42.up about what is going on in the terrace of the build-up. LAUGHTER

:23:43. > :23:46.Always dreamt of this occasion, something I have dreamt of all my

:23:47. > :23:53.life, it will be a dream come true. Sorry, what was that? Here he is!

:23:54. > :24:00.Marc Sneyd, do not adjust your set, this really is his kicking style.

:24:01. > :24:03.You have weird kicking style, do you want to talk about that? If it

:24:04. > :24:08.works, there is no point changing it. What ever you do, it is working.

:24:09. > :24:11.Could not think of anything better than bringing the cutback on Sunday,

:24:12. > :24:18.seeing their faces enjoying it with them. -- bringing this up back. We

:24:19. > :24:22.are the Tigers. STUDIO: Michael Shenton talking to the players at

:24:23. > :24:28.the moment. That film, it highlights what we have said already about the

:24:29. > :24:31.close-knit nature of this group. I think it comes hand-in-hand with

:24:32. > :24:34.winning. Castleford have been successful this year, and as a

:24:35. > :24:41.result, the bond is a lot tighter. You cannot underestimate the team

:24:42. > :24:45.dynamic. When Castleford lost Rangi Chase there was a question about if

:24:46. > :24:48.they could continue, but they have shared that responsible at the end

:24:49. > :24:53.the balance has made them much more effective. For you, as they run past

:24:54. > :24:55.us for their final word in the dressing room before coming out for

:24:56. > :25:00.the Challenge Cup final, do they have a superstar in their ranks in

:25:01. > :25:04.Justin Carney? Of course they do. He is like a pinball. He bounces off

:25:05. > :25:09.people, he can score tries. He always finishes off in the corner

:25:10. > :25:12.perfectly. He has also got that awareness and he can get the team

:25:13. > :25:16.forward, going from the ruck and moving faster. Of the back of that

:25:17. > :25:19.they can get more carries from the other centres and wingers. They work

:25:20. > :25:23.together and that is what impresses me, how much they work for each

:25:24. > :25:27.other. And what he does in the back field really helped Castleford. We

:25:28. > :25:30.were speaking earlier about the Leeds backfield and what they can

:25:31. > :25:35.do, Justin Carney can carry the team forwards. He has got a huge shock.

:25:36. > :25:38.He is the top try scorer in the Challenge Cup which is remarkable

:25:39. > :25:42.considering he was suspended for the quarter and semifinals! He is ready

:25:43. > :25:48.dangerous but I cannot emphasise enough how important he is in the

:25:49. > :25:50.backfield. Him and Ryan Hall are two of the best carriers in the

:25:51. > :25:56.backfield and will be interesting to see how they go. That is because of

:25:57. > :25:59.the dressing room. And this is the Leeds dressing room. It is full of

:26:00. > :26:03.players, full of a golden generation, in fact, who are all

:26:04. > :26:12.desperate to lift this famous old trophy.

:26:13. > :26:18.If you cut us down the middle we are all blue and amber. I have been

:26:19. > :26:22.really proud to represent this club and city for the last 18 years. If

:26:23. > :26:26.you do not play you do not want to play at all. No matter what happens

:26:27. > :26:31.on Sunday, you cannot take away the moment is that all five of us have

:26:32. > :26:36.shared together. 2000, there had to be a bit of a transition. Leeds had

:26:37. > :26:38.a lot of older players and you could see that there were these young

:26:39. > :26:46.players coming through with massive potential, we were all part of that.

:26:47. > :26:51.COMMENTATOR: Danny McGuire! This kid is going to be a very good player.

:26:52. > :26:55.When you are a young kid, coming up to train with the likes of Adrian

:26:56. > :26:59.Morley, Harris, people like that, and then six years later we are all

:27:00. > :26:59.playing for the first team and representing Leeds.

:27:00. > :27:05.playing for the first team and representing It was pretty special.

:27:06. > :27:08.Bob was a cheeky kid, a little character. The first time I saw him

:27:09. > :27:13.at training, in Headingley, it stuck in the back of my mind. Whilst you

:27:14. > :27:18.had positive memories, my first memory of Robert was a shocker!

:27:19. > :27:23.It is a club that proves that they invest in their youth, and they are

:27:24. > :27:28.willing to give them a go. The lads can see what a successful club Leeds

:27:29. > :27:32.are, and they are willing to prove that. The key thing that has kept

:27:33. > :27:36.the group together is that we have been happy. We have been prepared to

:27:37. > :27:40.sacrifice a little bit of extra money to win trophies and to stick

:27:41. > :27:46.around. I looked like the grandfather of the group. I am the

:27:47. > :27:50.oldest one in here, and have been the leader for a long time. Did you

:27:51. > :27:58.play that game when Billy was at bandanna? Yes, I think I did. We won

:27:59. > :28:05.that one. Everybody talking about that one, the bandanna!

:28:06. > :28:11.I never really got my name charted, it took about ten years for my song,

:28:12. > :28:13.and my song is about not having a song because my name is too long,

:28:14. > :28:33.apparently! We have not performed that well at

:28:34. > :28:35.Wembley. I know that, but it is just performances, five performances and

:28:36. > :28:39.we have not... We have been outplayed on the day by the team. We

:28:40. > :28:46.got quite a bit of stick after the 2003 final, which if anything, it

:28:47. > :28:49.helped make me what I am today. Afterwards it was about not taking

:28:50. > :28:54.those points, and there was not thrown at you after the game. It was

:28:55. > :28:57.difficult at the time when you have your shoulder it at 22 years of age,

:28:58. > :29:01.it is tough. I do not blame anybody else, I was there to make decisions

:29:02. > :29:04.and sometimes they go for you and sometimes they do not. Kevin

:29:05. > :29:11.Sinfield must be wondering if he will ever collect a cup winners

:29:12. > :29:14.medal. I have realised there is not a magic formula, it is about playing

:29:15. > :29:21.well. There is a focus about us, a look in the eyes. We have got five

:29:22. > :29:26.goes now, it is about time we got it right. STUDIO: Can the golden

:29:27. > :29:32.generation and their Challenge Cup final hoodoo? Talk to the neutrals,

:29:33. > :29:37.it is hard against art in this final, Castleford and the romance

:29:38. > :29:41.and a lot of people wanting this golden generation to finally end

:29:42. > :29:45.that hoodoo. But at sport, there is no right to anything and it can be

:29:46. > :29:49.cruel. I have been in the Grand Final and lost six times. Sport is

:29:50. > :29:55.cruel and there is no divine right for Leeds to win today and they will

:29:56. > :29:59.be aware of that. A lot of people revel in other peoples misery, and

:30:00. > :30:01.the Castleford fans, they have captured the imagination this year

:30:02. > :30:05.and that is what people believe this is all about, the underdog having

:30:06. > :30:13.its day. I matter what, it is going to a great game. Leeds the Challenge

:30:14. > :30:24.Cup is being brought out by members of the Armed Forces. Sergeant Jack

:30:25. > :30:30.Horner, Jordan and this is the Tetley 's Challenge Cup final. This

:30:31. > :30:52.is the battle of West Yorkshire. ROCK MUSIC

:30:53. > :30:55.the teams will be with us very shortly, after the Challenge Cup

:30:56. > :33:05.final hymn, Abide With Me. CHEERING

:33:06. > :33:09.It does not matter how many times you come to this fantastic sporting

:33:10. > :33:15.event. Those three minutes always bring a lump to the throat, and

:33:16. > :33:20.goose bumps, beautifully sung. Now it is time to the players,

:33:21. > :33:24.Castleford Tigers against Leeds Rhinos, this is the Challenge Cup

:33:25. > :33:30.final. You can enjoy it in the company about commentary team, Brian

:33:31. > :33:34.Noble, Jonathan Davies and Dave Wood.

:33:35. > :33:49.CHEERING COMMENTATOR: The 113th Challenge Cup

:33:50. > :33:54.final is the friendly final, so money friendships and traditions

:33:55. > :33:58.shared by these two clubs. They also share a desperate desire to live

:33:59. > :34:05.rugby league 's most glittering prize. -- so many friendships.

:34:06. > :34:12.Leeds, the third biggest city in England represented by the Rhinos,

:34:13. > :34:17.Castleford, 40,000 people live there, and most of them are down

:34:18. > :34:20.here to cheer on the Tigers. It is the ultimate big boys city glamour

:34:21. > :34:26.against the underdogs today. Leeds have had their underdogs moments as

:34:27. > :34:39.well, so many Wembley heartbreaks of course. Wembley looks resplendent.

:34:40. > :34:43.Both teams being introduced to the dignitaries, Brian Barwick, current

:34:44. > :34:49.chairman of the Rugby football league, Paul Caddis, the chairman of

:34:50. > :34:54.Leeds, introducing the players. He grew up as a Castleford fan, but

:34:55. > :34:58.today he is on the side of Leeds. Our guest of honour will be

:34:59. > :35:04.presenting the trophy, a Wembley hero himself, in 1969, winning the

:35:05. > :35:12.trophy playing for Castleford. He has coached Leeds. He has got

:35:13. > :35:16.connections there as well. Richard Saville, with this standing referee,

:35:17. > :35:21.Daryl Powell, the coach of Castleford. As the line of

:35:22. > :35:28.dignitaries carries on. It was nice to see Jack Fulton, the man who has

:35:29. > :35:33.been very much the saviour of Castleford over the last 20 years.

:35:34. > :35:38.He is not a well man, but he was brought up by his son, in the

:35:39. > :35:42.wheelchair. What a proud day, for Jack Fulton, to continue the

:35:43. > :35:47.contrast, he was born and raised in Headingley. Now he is the man, there

:35:48. > :35:57.he is, he has breathed life into Castleford. These last 20 years or

:35:58. > :36:02.so. Every great final needs a great back story and this is a final which

:36:03. > :36:11.has many, many fantastic back stories. Is this the Leeds

:36:12. > :36:14.generation which finally ends the curse? What about a Castleford club,

:36:15. > :36:20.one and half years ago seems to be going out of business? What a change

:36:21. > :36:30.has been wrought by their Chief Executive. And their coach Daryl

:36:31. > :36:34.Powell. The Chief Executive of Carlsberg, Tetleys, the sponsors

:36:35. > :36:43.today, in the line of dignitaries as well. I am sure they will be feeling

:36:44. > :36:52.it more than any, only two Challenge Cup finals between them, just a

:36:53. > :36:58.matter of 44 combined cup finals in the Leeds team. The national anthem,

:36:59. > :37:15.which again, will be sung by Victoria Gray.

:37:16. > :37:52.CHEERING On Yorkshire Day there is a touch of

:37:53. > :37:57.Lancashire, the music, provided by The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers,

:37:58. > :37:59.Lancashire, and I think that might be the last mention of that

:38:00. > :38:04.particular county this afternoon because this is a Yorkshire day.

:38:05. > :38:10.Especially it is a West Yorkshire day. Brian McDermott, the coach. The

:38:11. > :38:17.Leeds Rhinos, he coached them in 2011-12. Didn't manage to win on

:38:18. > :38:22.either of those occasions of course. Castleford, Craig Huby plays,

:38:23. > :38:26.despite the dislocated elbow he suffered only two weeks ago. Justin

:38:27. > :38:31.Carney, the giant on the wing, suspended for the quarters and the

:38:32. > :38:38.semifinals. He certainly owes his team performance. Jamie Ellis

:38:39. > :38:46.getting the nod ahead of Adam Milner. Joel Moon, the only man in

:38:47. > :38:53.the starting 13 not to have played at Wembley before.

:38:54. > :39:00.The referee, Phil Bentham, his third final, he was in charge when Leeds

:39:01. > :39:07.lost against Wigan, 2011. He was in charge last year as well, when Wigan

:39:08. > :39:09.beat Hull. Daryl Clark is a man on a mission today. We saw what a special

:39:10. > :39:12.character he was in the semifinals, mission today. We saw what a special

:39:13. > :39:20.character he was in we have seen what a special character he is, Rob

:39:21. > :39:29.Burrow, too little men that could make a big difference to the result

:39:30. > :39:34.today. We have the epic story, either Leeds, have found their

:39:35. > :39:38.golden fleece, or Castleford, a club on the brink of extinction only 18

:39:39. > :39:43.months ago, writing an incredible final chapter to their recent fairy

:39:44. > :39:53.tale rise and we already know it is going to be physical. It is going to

:39:54. > :40:00.be really physical. Leuluai, and Peacock, first out but they were met

:40:01. > :40:03.by some force. Very looking forward to this, very good footballing

:40:04. > :40:11.sides, talented players in keeper 's missions. Discipline will be

:40:12. > :40:18.crucial. And the two hookers, what a battle. Sinfield under pressure.

:40:19. > :40:24.Dorn, running it back to the 40 metre line. The first touch of the

:40:25. > :40:31.ball, for the Castleford players. Leeds have already had a chance to

:40:32. > :40:37.run those nerves away a little bit. Sneyd, picked up by Joel Clark.

:40:38. > :40:46.Holmes. 22 years of age. Clark again. Webster, he is only 21. Huby.

:40:47. > :40:53.Quick hands to the right-hand side, Dixon. Doing well in the end to keep

:40:54. > :41:04.it in play. He did very well, they were a bit flat. Sixth tackle, under

:41:05. > :41:10.pressure, and a kick from Lynch. Not a bad effort from the front row. A

:41:11. > :41:15.little bit disorganised. Looking to go to the fringes as much as they

:41:16. > :41:21.can. They both played a game, the right way, these sides, they like to

:41:22. > :41:28.use the ball. It will not just be down the middle. As Brian said, he

:41:29. > :41:33.was absolutely crucial because in the semifinal, they started so well

:41:34. > :41:36.going forward. When he went off, they slowed down. Taking the

:41:37. > :41:48.effectiveness of away from Darren Clarke. Burrow, dummy half, McGuire

:41:49. > :41:53.has some time to launch this high. Careful by Justin Carney, he is a

:41:54. > :41:59.man monster. His calves are bigger than most people 's wastes. He's a

:42:00. > :42:06.big boy. You cannot underestimate what he does. Tom Briscoe was not

:42:07. > :42:10.small himself. There is an error from Lynch I believe. It is a

:42:11. > :42:18.mistake, the first attacking opportunity. Leuluai, setting up the

:42:19. > :42:26.position for Leeds, 20 yards away from where they want to be. Burrow,

:42:27. > :42:29.Delaney. Setting a new record, Brett Delaney, no Australian has played in

:42:30. > :42:36.the Challenge Cup final more than him, his fourth today. Sinfield,

:42:37. > :42:40.Peacock, held up, they can see how close they are. McGuire on the

:42:41. > :42:48.left-hand side with the dummy. Gliding the hips. Over the line,

:42:49. > :42:54.they will go back ten metres to play-the-ball. It was good from Luke

:42:55. > :43:01.Dorn, tackling him and taking him over the try line. Hardaker. Carl

:43:02. > :43:06.Ablett. The Castleford defence is hanging on here. Built up a

:43:07. > :43:12.reputation for the way they play with the ball in hand, Castleford,

:43:13. > :43:25.but they can defend, too. McGuire, it has got scruffy, Castleford, no,

:43:26. > :43:31.Leeds, another set of six. Peacock. Burrow. Back to the middle.

:43:32. > :43:39.Sinfield, short and flat. Jones Buchanan. This will be draining. The

:43:40. > :43:48.defensive energy of Castleford. Sinfield looking wide. Hardaker. Tom

:43:49. > :43:54.Briscoe, he is over. Four minutes played at Wembley Stadium. Briscoe,

:43:55. > :44:03.who suffered the heartbreak with Hull last year, the first try scorer

:44:04. > :44:07.this. Leeds with the early lead. Leeds, forcing the error, plenty of

:44:08. > :44:13.patience. Lucky to get the repeat set, it was a scruffy kick. You have

:44:14. > :44:19.to make the most of the lucky breaks. Working on the outside, this

:44:20. > :44:30.is the kick. Played by Clark. It was regathered. The ball comes out. Very

:44:31. > :44:37.simple. Unfortunately, Sneyd, has jumped over the line. He jumps over

:44:38. > :44:50.the line. Difficult to Justin Carney, he has got to go in. Simple

:44:51. > :44:57.play. Sneyd taking a punt, who looks to close the play down, it did not,

:44:58. > :45:03.it opened it on the outside for young Tom Briscoe.

:45:04. > :45:12.Kevin Sinfield with a chance to add the two. Of all of the players who

:45:13. > :45:19.have longevity in this side, Kevin Sinfield has the greatest longevity,

:45:20. > :45:25.his debut in 1997. Played in the early rounds of the 99 cup final

:45:26. > :45:29.campaign but not in the final. Here he comes without sweeping right

:45:30. > :45:43.boot. He has found the target impeccably. It is a great kick. A

:45:44. > :45:47.great kick. This is the score again, Sneyd, looking to close down the

:45:48. > :45:55.space. Tom Briscoe pretty much with a free run. For all of the viewers

:45:56. > :46:00.back home, if one guy runs in, everybody has to run in, it is more

:46:01. > :46:08.difficult to create the overlap. One cannot run up, and one cannot stay

:46:09. > :46:12.out. It is a natural opening, then. Tom Briscoe has had his Wembley

:46:13. > :46:20.heartbreak over the years. It has started so far so good for him

:46:21. > :46:27.today. Ablett, Castleford are wearing on their wrists bands which

:46:28. > :46:32.says 1986, invoking the spirit of the Cas team which won at Wembley in

:46:33. > :46:38.that year. They are wearing white today as the Castleford teams which

:46:39. > :46:42.one in 69, and 70. They have dug deep in tradition and history this

:46:43. > :46:49.last week. To try to recreate that kind of winning story today. Leeds

:46:50. > :46:54.have had their tricks as well. They are certainly starting the more

:46:55. > :46:59.efficiently. Leeds showing composure, they have been here

:47:00. > :47:04.before, yes, missing out. There is an air of confidence at the moment.

:47:05. > :47:11.Doing everything correctly, creating the overlap, running for the try,

:47:12. > :47:15.lovely kick to complete the set. They are definitely here to play,

:47:16. > :47:18.the way they are going about the job, they are prepared to kick the

:47:19. > :47:31.ball to the sidelines. They are here to get the job done. That is it.

:47:32. > :47:38.Leeds, 44 cup finals between them, and only two Challenge Cup winners

:47:39. > :47:45.medals. The winners, Jamie Peacock, both with Bradford. Castleford, just

:47:46. > :47:56.two cup finals in net experience locker, and both of those were

:47:57. > :48:09.losses. It is good speed from Leeds. Targeting the ball. Carney was

:48:10. > :48:13.nailed. Looking to create some holes in the defence, Clark is off and

:48:14. > :48:17.running. We saw in the semifinal how quickly he gets into his game, he

:48:18. > :48:24.has not been allowed to, but they have a penalty. They needed that

:48:25. > :48:31.because Leeds were being very vigorous in their defence. Leeds,

:48:32. > :48:40.they are not going to allow him that much freedom. By controlling the

:48:41. > :48:45.play in the tackle area, they are controlling Daryl Clark. It wasn't

:48:46. > :48:54.really on. There was nowhere for him to go. Clark, attacking this side,

:48:55. > :48:56.the return pass. Lynch. Castleford have the position for the first time

:48:57. > :49:12.in the game. Huby. Mass in. Huby. How much will that elbow in a

:49:13. > :49:20.G -- injury play in his game today, it is a step that took them closer?

:49:21. > :49:26.Very good from Webster there. And a drive, by Lynch, and Castleford are

:49:27. > :49:34.edging closer. Finn, Webster, try to get his arms free but he cannot.

:49:35. > :49:44.Here comes the last tackle. Finn, kicking to the infield area,

:49:45. > :49:50.Sinfield, did just enough. Creating the pressure, Sinfield had no

:49:51. > :49:54.option, he had to play that. He was aiming for the posts, just misses.

:49:55. > :50:03.That is what Sinfield had his eye upon. Looking for the deflection.

:50:04. > :50:07.Keeping the ball in play. Finn, this time last year was playing with

:50:08. > :50:11.Featherstone and a full-time electrician, watching it at home. 12

:50:12. > :50:24.months on, he is the star of the show. One of them. Clark. Lynch. 25

:50:25. > :50:32.metres out, Castleford, a repeat set and a chance, Webster. Running away

:50:33. > :50:38.from Burrow, looking for Dixon. Dixon, with three tackles to go,

:50:39. > :50:48.Finn. Lynch. Spitting it back. Across the line, Dorn, it is a very

:50:49. > :50:53.quick play-the-ball. It is too quick for the referees liking. Although

:50:54. > :50:59.they are celebrating the try, it is a penalty for Castleford. Could it

:51:00. > :51:07.not have been an advantage? Play on, play on! He is saying, he was not

:51:08. > :51:21.facing the ball and they are correct. One of those calls. Still

:51:22. > :51:28.chance for Castleford. Clark again. Massey, looking for the dummy, it

:51:29. > :51:37.was read by the Leeds line. Clark sensing the opportunity, Watkins was

:51:38. > :51:48.able to respond. He was able to spot the danger. Holmes, Massey, throwing

:51:49. > :51:54.the dummy, Peacock closing the hole. Six tackles. Kick back on the

:51:55. > :52:01.inside. Taken by Clark. Sprinting away from Hardaker. A question of

:52:02. > :52:08.the grounding, yes there is. Did he actually managed to ground the ball?

:52:09. > :52:15.Phil Bentham is going upstairs. Let's hear for the first time in

:52:16. > :52:23.this 2014 Challenge Cup final, from the video referee. Let's have a look

:52:24. > :52:31.for the onside first of all, to make sure the Castleford players, row

:52:32. > :52:37.making sure they are onside, they are, it has been done cleanly, now

:52:38. > :52:44.it is the grounding. If I can have a closer angle on the grounding

:52:45. > :52:55.please. The ball in his hands, no problem there. The ball is on the

:52:56. > :53:02.ground, it is a try. Half of the population of Castleford. Has just

:53:03. > :53:09.acclaimed that try. Even before it was confirmed, they saw what the

:53:10. > :53:19.video referee saw, the try is given and Castleford have the response.

:53:20. > :53:23.This is really smart play from Clark and Sneyd, the kicker. They were

:53:24. > :53:28.building pressure for a while, Castleford. They came up with the

:53:29. > :53:33.spoils, on the back of a bit of patience. Both teams now, a couple

:53:34. > :53:40.of sets on that end of the field and they have come up with the result.

:53:41. > :53:50.Very clever play, must have been excellent communication. So, Sneyd,

:53:51. > :54:00.his goal-kicking has caught the eye this year not least because of his

:54:01. > :54:09.kicking style of course. A little bit of a round the corner manoeuvre.

:54:10. > :54:12.A glance over his right shoulder. Just to make sure the sticks are

:54:13. > :54:19.still there, they are, nobody has stolen them. Left foot, he has

:54:20. > :54:22.hooked it wide. His kicking success rate this year has been phenomenal,

:54:23. > :54:32.but maybe some Wembley nerves playing a part. There has got to be

:54:33. > :54:38.communication, the bounce has favoured Castleford. Hardaker, he's

:54:39. > :54:50.in the right position. They take the opportunity. The restart, Castleford

:54:51. > :54:59.getting back possession. It is a good take from Dixon because it was

:55:00. > :55:03.a difficult angle. Going back to the conversion, playing against somebody

:55:04. > :55:06.of the calibre of Kevin Sinfield, those conversions are crucial, he

:55:07. > :55:14.will not miss many and you have got to nail them. You have to score the

:55:15. > :55:19.conversions, when you play against men like this. Castleford, on the

:55:20. > :55:28.back of some scruffy ball looking to create something. Let's hear from

:55:29. > :55:32.Robbie on the touchline. Some people saying Castleford would be

:55:33. > :55:37.overwhelmed by the occasion, typical Leeds, early try and a stranglehold.

:55:38. > :55:43.Cas have not been phased, able to get down into the half. Turning it

:55:44. > :55:51.into points. They are up with this game and they are not fazed by the

:55:52. > :55:58.massive occasion. Briscoe. Ryan Hall is getting in on the act as well,

:55:59. > :56:02.alleviating some of the work rate. It is good play by the Leeds back. A

:56:03. > :56:11.couple of yards giving the forward some breathing space, organising

:56:12. > :56:18.themselves. Burrow, Jamie Peacock. He and Leuluai, in the running for

:56:19. > :56:22.the trophy would be the oldest ever winners if they picked up the prize

:56:23. > :56:31.as man of the match. Dorn, in a bit of a cul-de-sac. I am surprised they

:56:32. > :56:37.have not gone for the high kick. The sun is in his eyes, put it up into

:56:38. > :56:43.the air. Leeds, they are on a mission to be at this end of the

:56:44. > :56:48.field. We saw the kick to the sideline, they will back their

:56:49. > :56:58.defence. Shenton, running into trouble. Three Leeds defenders,

:56:59. > :57:06.Lynch will take it on again. Clark standing at dummy half. Leeds fans

:57:07. > :57:10.filling the air with their Rhinos chanting at the moment. Kick is a

:57:11. > :57:18.little bit awkward but taken by Ryan Hall. The Castleford line is waiting

:57:19. > :57:23.for him and down he goes. It is a freight train coming at you, he's a

:57:24. > :57:33.big boy. We mention how important he is to the team. Looking at Tom

:57:34. > :57:39.Briscoe, we have seen Hardaker, Hall, they are moving forward

:57:40. > :57:48.quickly. McGuire, Hardaker. Ablett, Joel Bloom. Ryan Hall was there.

:57:49. > :58:00.Waiting and expecting. So whether Castleford defenders. -- so were the

:58:01. > :58:07.defenders. It was well read by Huby, absolutely nailed him. Burrow,

:58:08. > :58:12.sixth tackle, Luke Dorn having to think about this one. He has missed

:58:13. > :58:20.it. McGuire has picked his pockets in midair, Danny McGuire with a

:58:21. > :58:25.sensational take. Sensational try. On the previous play, by Sinfield,

:58:26. > :58:36.we said, put it into the sunshine. Put Luke Dorn under pressure. That

:58:37. > :58:43.is what has happened. Rob Burrow with the kick. It is a great leap

:58:44. > :58:49.from McGuire. It is a competition, when you put the ball in the air you

:58:50. > :58:56.have a chance of jumping. Danny McGuire has a running jump. He did

:58:57. > :59:01.not get off the ground, you cannot afford to do that. The uncertainty

:59:02. > :59:13.of the sun in his eyes, he didn't get off the ground. Easy, for Danny

:59:14. > :59:18.McGuire. Danny McGuire has had a good start to the game, he's been at

:59:19. > :59:31.the heart of a lot of good things fall Leeds so far. He is the leading

:59:32. > :59:35.try scorer in the Super League. He had a massive semifinal against

:59:36. > :59:38.Warrington, very close to a man of the match performance. Brian Noble

:59:39. > :59:44.says he is the Super League leading try scorer, not just this season, in

:59:45. > :59:45.the entire history of Super League. Danny McGuire, nobody has scored

:59:46. > :59:55.more than he has. I thought I was going to leave that

:59:56. > :00:00.one for you. Here comes Kevin Sinfield with the kick. Adding

:00:01. > :00:10.another one, his kicking has been impeccable so far, two out of two.

:00:11. > :00:13.That is right. Even greater there. Putting the ball in the air,

:00:14. > :00:16.competing for it, challenging for it, and that is a great jump from

:00:17. > :00:21.Danny McGuire. Only one winner there.

:00:22. > :00:32.So, Castleford playing catch up again here. They already provided

:00:33. > :00:41.one great response, but they cannot let Leeds get too far ahead of them

:00:42. > :00:44.in this game, can they. The quick play-the-ball. Rob Burrow coming up

:00:45. > :00:54.from Tommy Haas. Joel Moon offering his support. -- coming up from dummy

:00:55. > :00:59.half. 38 metres, two tackles, and it is mistake free, as Brian said, it

:01:00. > :01:06.is at the jumper, running from half-backs, one pass and it is very

:01:07. > :01:10.limited but very successful at the moment. Good feet position and a

:01:11. > :01:15.good kick. Working the blindside for the kick to touch. Just putting it

:01:16. > :01:19.out of play. Castleford getting the ball back, but only ten metres from

:01:20. > :01:24.their own line. They will be faced with another big task to get it

:01:25. > :01:29.downfield. They are knocking in the nails. You look at the kicks from

:01:30. > :01:33.Kevin Sinfield, it adds pressure to Castleford. If you look at the

:01:34. > :01:35.sideline kicks, it gives Leeds the chance to concentrate on keeping

:01:36. > :01:39.Castleford at this end of the field where they are less dangerous than

:01:40. > :01:44.the other end of the field. It sounds obvious, but the bigger in

:01:45. > :01:53.the fence that Leeds are showing is exemplary.

:01:54. > :01:58.He has been in that left second row position more often than not,

:01:59. > :02:05.standing two men in the Castleford when the ball has come his way. An

:02:06. > :02:10.extra bludgeon. Mr semifinal, the quarterfinal, of course, because of

:02:11. > :02:14.suspension. He does not know his own strength at times, that is what he

:02:15. > :02:20.claims. What is going on here? It is simply lost. Ryan Bailey aggravating

:02:21. > :02:26.the situation by tapping Daryl Clark on the head. Because they are

:02:27. > :02:32.controlling the tackle, just watch, there is nobody on the ground... It

:02:33. > :02:34.is very difficult. A very unlucky decision for Castleford. But again,

:02:35. > :02:41.the previous play-the-ball, he took the ball, I do not think he should

:02:42. > :02:44.have gone. There was Moby on the ground and his speciality is

:02:45. > :02:48.spotting that. When there is somebody on the ground, somebody

:02:49. > :02:57.walking back slowly, he goes. Zak Hardaker. Moving on the line. Five

:02:58. > :03:01.tackles to go for Leeds, only 30 yards away. Looking to build on what

:03:02. > :03:08.is already an authoritative start to this game. Rob Burrow. Time to

:03:09. > :03:13.saunter up there in the sunshine and look to his right and left. He gives

:03:14. > :03:18.it to Peacock. Taking it in hard. The defenders clamouring all over

:03:19. > :03:25.him to keep his progress limited. Danny McGuire.

:03:26. > :03:35.Kevin Sinfield. Michael Shenton back for more. Tom Briscoe. Delaney.

:03:36. > :03:41.Danny McGuire. Dummy again, looking to get some numbers. Joel Moon

:03:42. > :03:46.putting it back... It is still alive. It is not backwards. Leeds

:03:47. > :03:49.losing ground but keeping the ball... Eventually the referee

:03:50. > :03:56.deciding that the instruction from the touch judge on the far side that

:03:57. > :04:01.it was a Leeds knock-on, and it is Castleford's ball. A good test of

:04:02. > :04:05.the Castleford defence and they held up to it. Joel Moon having a crack,

:04:06. > :04:15.and they adjudicate that it probably came off the Castleford player. The

:04:16. > :04:21.touch judge today there, Jo Cobb. He looks about 12! Rob Hicks is on the

:04:22. > :04:28.other side. Phil Bentham is the man in the middle. Castleford need to

:04:29. > :04:33.complete this set, no mistakes. They need a good set, a good kick, put

:04:34. > :04:37.the pressure on Leeds. A lot of the game inside their own half,

:04:38. > :04:42.Castleford, so far. Exactly what Leeds want them to do. Daryl Powell

:04:43. > :04:47.played for Leeds the last time they won the Challenge Cup in 1999. His

:04:48. > :04:52.assistant, Ryan Sheridan, was in the Leeds side that day. Another one of

:04:53. > :05:01.the thread that runs between the two sides. Lee Jewitt is on from the

:05:02. > :05:07.bench. Marc Sneyd. Kicking it. That is a good kick, right on the

:05:08. > :05:11.goal-line. The chase is decent as well. Marc Sneyd cannot keep hold of

:05:12. > :05:16.Zak Hardaker. And Zak Hardaker stealing not just a couple of

:05:17. > :05:21.yards, he will take it all the way to be on the halfway line. It needed

:05:22. > :05:30.a tackle there. Looking dangerous here now. Rob Burrow scampering. The

:05:31. > :05:33.ball in both hands. Leeds already backed the inside Castleford

:05:34. > :05:43.territory. Early in the count. Kevin Sinfield. McGuire. Ablett. Liam Finn

:05:44. > :05:49.doing the job. Kevin Sinfield again. Working the left-hand side.

:05:50. > :05:53.McGuire. Joel Moon. Peacock. Thinking about returning the past,

:05:54. > :06:04.but the Castleford defenders upending him. Burrow. Kevin Sinfield

:06:05. > :06:09.inside. Very good tackle. Jones-Buchanan has gone down. Jamie

:06:10. > :06:15.Jones-Buchanan might be hurt. Danny McGuire putting it out there... And

:06:16. > :06:23.Ryan Hall with all his strength is over to score! Wow! Did that take

:06:24. > :06:29.some finishing? It was all power and determination from Ryan Hall. Like a

:06:30. > :06:39.steam roller. He ran over the Castleford defence for a third Leeds

:06:40. > :06:45.try. Well, that is simply... They are being outclassed. If you do not

:06:46. > :06:52.put him to ground, there is always a danger of this happening because he

:06:53. > :06:55.is one powerful winger. You mentioned Justin Carney, but this is

:06:56. > :06:59.the mistake that gives them field position. You cannot miss that

:07:00. > :07:03.tackle. Have got to make that kick chase tackle. It was a brilliant

:07:04. > :07:07.chase from Marc Sneyd, but Zak Hardaker pushes through and puts

:07:08. > :07:11.Leeds on the front foot. And this is a last play option. Ryan Hall was

:07:12. > :07:17.one-on-one with Dixon and he is too big and too strong. He get his body

:07:18. > :07:27.position wrong, he goes high, it is a leg drive, and he stores. --

:07:28. > :07:32.scores. They are not legs, they are small humans! Have you seen the size

:07:33. > :07:36.of them? It is difficult to pick a standout player for Leeds at the

:07:37. > :07:39.moment because they have been such a tremendous team effort. They have

:07:40. > :07:46.all stuck in, they have all done their job. And they have been so, so

:07:47. > :07:50.clinical. You just see, they have not allowed Castleford into the game

:07:51. > :07:58.yet. A couple of mistakes, only a couple, but they have been punished.

:07:59. > :08:01.Kevin Sinfield. He has already proven himself very adept at kicking

:08:02. > :08:10.goals from touchlines, but not this time. He has put it wide. But it is

:08:11. > :08:15.still a more than healthy Leeds lead at 16-4. 2-macro what do you do

:08:16. > :08:19.here? He has got his jump on you, he is pushing you back at a fast rate

:08:20. > :08:27.of knots. That is a runaway freight train. I have been in that position

:08:28. > :08:30.in numerous situations. Up against people like Richie Blackmore, you

:08:31. > :08:35.just go to ground as quickly as you can and hope that you drag him with

:08:36. > :08:45.you. Here comes Peacock with the drive back. We'll be an air plenty

:08:46. > :08:49.of time after the Challenge Cup has been presented, so if you want to

:08:50. > :08:53.get in touch with us, you can do it on the Internet, the twitter handle,

:08:54. > :09:07.and also on the forum. Here Leeds looking to build on that

:09:08. > :09:11.left-hand side again. It has been a really dominant performance by then.

:09:12. > :09:16.All of the talk in the build-up about is this the Leeds team that

:09:17. > :09:23.end the nightmare six Challenge Cup defeats in the 21st-century? The

:09:24. > :09:29.sign so far is that there is an absolute nailed on determination

:09:30. > :09:33.about this one today. They have got a system here, the fifth time they

:09:34. > :09:36.have kicked down that left-hand side to restrict Castleford. This is an

:09:37. > :09:39.efficient process they are going through. They are defending very

:09:40. > :09:42.well at this end of the field and the only time that Castleford have

:09:43. > :09:47.managed to get to the other end is on the back of a penalty. I think it

:09:48. > :09:52.is the old philosophy from Brian McDermott, they are not dangerous at

:09:53. > :09:54.their end of the field. There is the confirmation statistically,

:09:55. > :09:59.possession and territory in the first half. Allen they are doing

:10:00. > :10:05.everything right. They are not chasing the game, not looking for

:10:06. > :10:11.the dangerous pass. Castleford have got to dig deeply. They have got to

:10:12. > :10:15.hold on. They have got to establish and get the kick and chase game

:10:16. > :10:19.going right. They have two restrict what Leeds are doing because Leeds

:10:20. > :10:22.are having it all their own way. They are carrying the ball, Zak

:10:23. > :10:27.Hardaker, Tom Briscoe, they are getting better starts to their set,

:10:28. > :10:34.and this boat is been able to run out of the dummy half. We have said

:10:35. > :10:38.it a couple of times this season. Leeds eating Castleford at

:10:39. > :10:44.Castleford, at Headingley it was a draw, and a lot of people have said

:10:45. > :10:47.that was the game of the season. Jamie Jones-Buchanan. Rob Burrow is

:10:48. > :10:52.going to go down the blindside again. This time he is not going to

:10:53. > :10:57.find touch. It would instead be a tap on the 20. And the little

:10:58. > :11:01.apology from Rob Burrow. Yes, he had kicked the ball dead and given them

:11:02. > :11:05.a free 20 metres. But we can see that method, the game plan, it has

:11:06. > :11:11.been about drilling the ball down the left-hand side. Employing Dixon

:11:12. > :11:21.and Luke Dorn bringing the car back rather than Carney on the other

:11:22. > :11:27.side. Leeds have got a bit of flash and fire to kill here from

:11:28. > :11:36.Castleford. Lynch. Ellis. Twisting away from Peacock. Here is Daryl

:11:37. > :11:40.Clark at dummy half. They have got a couple of likely lads in the middle

:11:41. > :11:45.with Ellis on the field. It is the high one for Zak Hardaker. Where is

:11:46. > :11:50.the chase? Maybe putting anybody under pressure. No communication,

:11:51. > :11:53.was not on the last tackle and Luke Dorn is kicking. A lack of

:11:54. > :11:59.communication, and they are not competing that sets. Here we go

:12:00. > :12:07.again, and watch, what who goes next. There he is. Ryan Hall, the

:12:08. > :12:12.other winger, making some very valuable yards. The danger that you

:12:13. > :12:17.have is that if they break, they can go the length. McGuire. Rob Burrow

:12:18. > :12:21.across to the right-hand side. Kallum Watkins keeping it alive. Rob

:12:22. > :12:26.Burrow ducking and diving, none of his mates are around him. Just his

:12:27. > :12:31.enemies in the white shirt. Justin Carney thinks he has stolen this but

:12:32. > :12:33.the referee says he has not. I thought he stole that ball. I think

:12:34. > :12:44.he did. Peacock. So, the sixth tackle coming up. It

:12:45. > :12:48.will be a kick from Kevin Sinfield. Again he is just looking for touch,

:12:49. > :12:52.looking to be very efficient and clinical. Let's hear from the

:12:53. > :13:00.touchline. I have got Chris Clarkson with me, and the Chris, definitely

:13:01. > :13:04.playing to a game plan. We have done. Going well on the scoreboard

:13:05. > :13:07.but there is a long way to go and we need to keep playing as well as we

:13:08. > :13:12.are. The backfield are doing a great job taking the ball back and making

:13:13. > :13:17.metres. How key is the defence that has been so solid all season? It is

:13:18. > :13:20.massive, getting up there fast and putting them under pressure. It is

:13:21. > :13:25.working so far and hopefully we can keep it up. Nervous watching? Very

:13:26. > :13:31.nervous. Thank you for joining us. COMMENTATOR: Looking for ground

:13:32. > :13:36.again here. Trying to get themselves in the game, really. There is Daryl

:13:37. > :13:39.Clark, looking to get himself in the game. There was one defender on the

:13:40. > :13:50.ground, but they are marshalling him very well. Oliver Holmes. Michael

:13:51. > :13:54.Shenton. At dummy half here, he is going to have a go, trying to take

:13:55. > :14:00.it forwards. Eight minutes until half-time. It is a kick downfield by

:14:01. > :14:09.Jamie Ellis. It is blocked by Ryan Hall. What news from the Castleford

:14:10. > :14:13.bench? It is noticeable how much water the Interchange players are

:14:14. > :14:16.taking on board. It is deceptively hot at pitch level, well into the

:14:17. > :14:20.20s. Castleford defending at the sunny side of the round, and I

:14:21. > :14:27.wonder how much that defensive effort will take out of them? Here

:14:28. > :14:30.is Watkins. And Justin Carney, that is the kind of thing he was

:14:31. > :14:40.suspended for, the spear tackle. It had to be a penalty. Just a penalty.

:14:41. > :14:43.Take care. And what Justin Carney has said, in his defence, he does

:14:44. > :14:47.not realise his own strength, he picks the players up, and it is so

:14:48. > :14:52.easy, that is what is less keen on him down, but he should be more

:14:53. > :15:03.careful. If we does it again he will be. Here is Delaney. Rob Burrow at

:15:04. > :15:11.dummy half. Five tackles to go here. Peacock driving forwards. Very

:15:12. > :15:15.little ground right and left. Here he comes. This is Kevin Sinfield.

:15:16. > :15:22.Now, Danny McGuire. The short one for Ablett. Five away from the

:15:23. > :15:25.Castleford line. Leeds lining themselves up again down the

:15:26. > :15:31.blindside. Danny McGuire with the dummy, trying to go himself.

:15:32. > :15:36.Castleford are hanging on here. Hanging on in this set and in this

:15:37. > :15:43.game. Rob Burrow trying to live up to his name and burrowed his way

:15:44. > :15:47.over but he will be held up. That is the fifth tackle. They will play it

:15:48. > :15:53.back ten metres away. And this will be the final tackle in this set. Rob

:15:54. > :15:57.Burrow playing it. Jamie Jones-Buchanan putting it left.

:15:58. > :16:03.Danny McGuire trying to put it into the in-goal area but it is collected

:16:04. > :16:07.by Daryl Clark. All of the little things going Leeds's way. The

:16:08. > :16:10.efficiency they are playing with. All of the ricochets. Castleford

:16:11. > :16:15.have you hang on and get themselves to the right end of the field but

:16:16. > :16:19.that is proving difficult... And it is a knock-on again. It is another

:16:20. > :16:26.mistake by Castleford. The ball has gone to ground. Leeds get the head

:16:27. > :16:29.and feet, and it is another set of six for them to hammer the line.

:16:30. > :16:35.They are just winning the tackle area. Even when there is contact

:16:36. > :16:41.made, it is just going beyond the tackle. Always on the front foot,

:16:42. > :16:44.always in control of the tackle. A quick play-the-ball, and we thought

:16:45. > :16:51.it was a good first half performance in the semifinal with Leeds, but

:16:52. > :16:55.Warrington made a lot of errors then. Castleford have not made a lot

:16:56. > :16:58.of errors, it has just been a very solid and clinical performance by

:16:59. > :17:03.Leeds. Castleford just have do hang on here and come out fresh in the

:17:04. > :17:09.second half. Here comes Kevin Sinfield moving it wide. Tom Briscoe

:17:10. > :17:14.joining in. Just two stores in it at the minute. There was a big gap in

:17:15. > :17:26.performance between the two sides so far. This is Rob Burrow. Peacock.

:17:27. > :17:29.Surging forwards, the big fella. Rob Burrow at dummy half again. Putting

:17:30. > :17:40.it onto Kevin Sinfield, trying again to go himself. Rob Burrow. Standing

:17:41. > :17:44.and waiting, and a little jig of the hips. Five gone. Here comes the

:17:45. > :17:50.last. Can Leeds get another repeat here? Going left. Joel Moon with a

:17:51. > :17:56.kick in the in-goal area. It is going to be chased hard but it just

:17:57. > :17:59.bounces out of play. Well done Castleford, they needed to defend

:18:00. > :18:03.that, five minutes until half-time and it was a pivotal moment in the

:18:04. > :18:08.game, I feel. Castleford have not played badly, they just have not

:18:09. > :18:12.been allowed to play by Leeds. They have controlled everything in the

:18:13. > :18:17.first 35 minutes. A brilliant, brilliant performance. How do you

:18:18. > :18:22.change that? If you are Castleford, how do you change the passage of the

:18:23. > :18:26.game? First and foremost, like that from Craig Huby, a quick

:18:27. > :18:29.play-the-ball, and get your generals into the game. The half-backs have

:18:30. > :18:36.been very quiet so far and they have got to get into the game. Webster.

:18:37. > :18:40.This is a better exit set. They can find a quick play-the-ball, and

:18:41. > :18:45.maybe a bit of competition to get something from the defence. Here

:18:46. > :18:49.they come. Luke Dorn giving it back to Michael Shenton. Michael Shenton

:18:50. > :18:52.trying to find his feet but Kevin Sinfield denying the opportunity.

:18:53. > :19:00.The sixth tackle. Ellis with the kick. It goes back, and it has gone

:19:01. > :19:03.the other way! That was unlucky for Luke Dorn. He did not hear the call,

:19:04. > :19:08.he thought it was the last tackle and he threw the ball to the Leeds

:19:09. > :19:14.player. Luke Dorn in this game, he has amazing pace and he will

:19:15. > :19:22.question their defence. Kevin Sinfield. Zak Hardaker. Liam Finn,

:19:23. > :19:25.past him. He goes wide. Dixon is blocked off, they come back on the

:19:26. > :19:33.second attempt. Zak Hardaker is still going. He has inserted into

:19:34. > :19:40.this game, and he has been very effective. Peacock. Ten metres

:19:41. > :19:45.inside the Castleford half again. It is relentless at the moment, isn't

:19:46. > :19:52.it. Castleford still in the game, just. This is Ryan Hall.

:19:53. > :20:01.Rob Burrow. Down the blindside, and again, there is the kick again.

:20:02. > :20:06.Finding touch. Castleford head and feet again, but they will have do

:20:07. > :20:09.bring it clear again, and Leeds continue to turn the screw. It hit

:20:10. > :20:12.the Castleford player but the ball hit the man rather than the man

:20:13. > :20:17.hitting the ball. That is why it is still in Castleford's favour. We

:20:18. > :20:23.will have to see what has happened with Marc Sneyd. Was he taken off

:20:24. > :20:29.because he was injured? Or for me, maybe the occasion has got to him.

:20:30. > :20:32.It will be interesting to see what they can find out on the touchline.

:20:33. > :20:38.Very interesting for me to see whether it was a tactical decision

:20:39. > :20:41.or an injury. They have been very relaxed in the build-up to this

:20:42. > :20:45.game, a lot of the players are here today, playing this afternoon in the

:20:46. > :20:49.local copy shop in the shadows of Wembley, five hours before kick-off

:20:50. > :20:54.having another one. Remarkably relaxed build-up have had given the

:20:55. > :20:59.lack of Wembley experience, but it has not been delivered into a cup

:21:00. > :21:04.final performance so far. But there is a sign of a pulse, they have got

:21:05. > :21:07.forward more effectively, and they still think what they are doing.

:21:08. > :21:14.They might need to be facing this team. I think it is as well, in the

:21:15. > :21:23.white jerseys, they have not got it going. Kicked away by Ellis. Is that

:21:24. > :21:27.going to hold up in the in-goal area? No it is not, it will be a

:21:28. > :21:37.touch back from the 20 with 45 seconds left to play in the first

:21:38. > :21:40.half. I think this has blocked up the system, they need to get it is

:21:41. > :21:45.part of the system with the ball and we will see their prowess, they have

:21:46. > :21:52.got enough in the tank. The first try was a defensive error, but the

:21:53. > :21:56.other two, and the kick... Castleford have not been allowed to

:21:57. > :21:59.play. We know they can play and they are still in this game.

:22:00. > :22:07.Jones-Buchanan. Switching down the left-hand side. This might be the

:22:08. > :22:11.last play of the half here as Ablett is bustling forwards. Will he get to

:22:12. > :22:14.his feet and get another one going before it sounds? He will, down the

:22:15. > :22:23.left-hand side. Danny McGuire flying onto it, cannot do so. The tackle is

:22:24. > :22:26.a good one. The first half performance from Leeds has been a

:22:27. > :22:35.very good one. They have lost this game. -- bossed this game. The

:22:36. > :22:41.scoreboard reflecting that, they are leading 16-4 against Castleford.

:22:42. > :22:46.Kevin, how pleased with the discipline and sticking to the game

:22:47. > :22:50.plan? We stuck to the plan which is great. Castleford are a classy side

:22:51. > :22:55.and we know we have got a big 40 minutes. Will defence be the key? I

:22:56. > :23:02.think so, bit of defence and being smart. Michael, Leeds have a hold on

:23:03. > :23:07.this game. How do you get it back? We need some control. We want to not

:23:08. > :23:11.let them play to fast. What is it like there, it seems very intense?

:23:12. > :23:17.Of course it is intense, it is the final. STUDIO: That was a very

:23:18. > :23:22.simple answer at the end to a very simple question. Leeds 16-4 up. We

:23:23. > :23:28.have heard in the commentary and from the players that we talk of

:23:29. > :23:33.control and when we look at the statistics, Leeds with 63% of the

:23:34. > :23:38.possession and 66% of the territory. They have completed 96% of their

:23:39. > :23:44.tackles as well, and there set completion is that 89% as well. Eorl

:23:45. > :23:47.Crabtree, I think Jonathan said it in commentary, it is not that

:23:48. > :23:52.Castleford have not played, it is that they have not been allowed to

:23:53. > :23:58.play. That is it to a certain degree, but it is how Leeds have

:23:59. > :24:02.started the game, so impressive. This is when your big players need

:24:03. > :24:05.to step up, Kevin Sinfield, Rob Burrow, Danny McGuire, all of that

:24:06. > :24:08.experience. We have got that experience that gets you through and

:24:09. > :24:11.they have done that. Castleford seen a little bit lost, and they are

:24:12. > :24:15.going to need something a bit more special to get through the other

:24:16. > :24:19.side of this. Wanting to give credit to Leeds about is that they have

:24:20. > :24:24.only average 15 points per game in defence, and their defence, their

:24:25. > :24:27.attitude and commitment to defend with each other has been one of the

:24:28. > :24:29.standout features of Leeds's performances for me. I think one

:24:30. > :24:32.thing they did that we spoke about was Daryl Clark and his

:24:33. > :24:36.opportunities. They have restricted Castleford to running out of dummy

:24:37. > :24:39.half. That has been exceptional. That control on the back of a great

:24:40. > :24:43.kicking game is the reason that Leeds are in control. We spent some

:24:44. > :24:47.time before the game talking about how scary this place can be. Brian

:24:48. > :24:53.McDermott tried to play down that experience but can you see that fear

:24:54. > :24:57.being evident in the first Leeds try? I think so. I think that Leeds

:24:58. > :25:03.started the game very well. There was a few errors from Castleford,

:25:04. > :25:06.and in the first try, from Tom Briscoe, Marc Sneyd is desperate

:25:07. > :25:10.short in defence and is calling his troops out. As a result, he does not

:25:11. > :25:14.have the confidence to come in and he gets in front of the defender,

:25:15. > :25:19.and he stops the guys helping him. When he turns in his hips, Carney

:25:20. > :25:22.has one option to fly up against him and that is when the space is

:25:23. > :25:25.created. Zak Hardaker through the hand and Kallum Watkins does

:25:26. > :25:31.fantastically well to stay square and pass. A very tough skill and it

:25:32. > :25:34.is a great try in the corner. Was that the adrenaline? They were

:25:35. > :25:39.short, Marc Sneyd wanted help but they were not coming. That is why he

:25:40. > :25:45.did what he did. When you talk about the Leeds defence all season, it has

:25:46. > :25:48.been evident today. They are controlled tackles. Exceptionally

:25:49. > :25:51.well. We talked about Carney being the ball carrier, they need three

:25:52. > :25:56.men in the ruck, making it uncomfortable and that allows it to

:25:57. > :25:59.become unsettled. Daryl Clark cannot run in that situation. The following

:26:00. > :26:05.tackle, same again. Three in the tackle, Ablett going to ground,

:26:06. > :26:08.Kylie Leuluai is there as well and it is impossible to get on the front

:26:09. > :26:11.foot. This is what Leeds have done much better than Castleford. The

:26:12. > :26:15.amount of times we have seen three Leeds players in the tackle is far

:26:16. > :26:19.more than the other two. We go back to Castleford, Michael Shenton said

:26:20. > :26:26.they have got to slow Leeds down. They are allowing them to pay at the

:26:27. > :26:29.place they want to play at. We talk about Daryl Clark going forward, and

:26:30. > :26:33.on this occasion, it was not like that. It is all about Leeds. They

:26:34. > :26:36.started getting back into it a little bit more, Castleford. This is

:26:37. > :26:40.where they reacted. This was a bit of a fightback from the Castleford

:26:41. > :26:43.Tigers. This was a set play. Kallum Watkins on the inside, chasing,

:26:44. > :26:46.looking for the ballplayer. We kicked it back on the inside and

:26:47. > :26:55.Daryl Clark is a ready aware of this. This is the set play. They

:26:56. > :26:58.have set this up. He is a bit lazy on that side, catching JP walking a

:26:59. > :27:00.little bit, obviously taking it away from him early doors. Daryl Clark

:27:01. > :27:04.with a great finish but another set play, they might need a few more of

:27:05. > :27:06.those to get back into it. It was a great set play, he was conscious of

:27:07. > :27:10.getting back onside and it was clear that it was a set play. Leeds just

:27:11. > :27:13.clocking off on the inside and it will cost you. That was one of the

:27:14. > :27:16.only lapses defensively we have seen. Castleford could have done

:27:17. > :27:22.with scoring again at that stage, and yet, they did not. It was Danny

:27:23. > :27:25.McGuire next. It seemed that it was Leeds that were taking control.

:27:26. > :27:29.Marching forward on this occasion. Craig Huby looking little bit tired

:27:30. > :27:33.on the floor and he has created an opportunity for Rob Burrow to get

:27:34. > :27:36.forwards. No pressure on him whatsoever. Keeping the ball up and

:27:37. > :27:43.Jon Wilkin, with this little spot. Luke Dorn there... He does not get

:27:44. > :27:45.up. He does not challenge for the ball. And Danny McGuire is looking

:27:46. > :27:49.at the ball all the time. He keeps having a look and he fancies it. He

:27:50. > :27:56.gets above Luke Dorn and there was no chance. You cannot underestimate

:27:57. > :28:00.the sun. In all of the gadgets you had available, that little bit was

:28:01. > :28:05.you trying to recreate it. I enjoyed it! It looked like the TARDIS was

:28:06. > :28:09.about to come down on the day that Doctor Who is back on BBC1! Kevin

:28:10. > :28:12.Sinfield talking to the boys at the moment, I presume they will be

:28:13. > :28:16.saying keep doing what you are doing in the Leeds dressing room. We have

:28:17. > :28:20.talked about the big players stepping up and this is another sign

:28:21. > :28:23.of it. Kevin Sinfield taking control in the changing room. Everybody will

:28:24. > :28:27.be listening to him, all eyes on him, JP, Rob Burrow, they will be

:28:28. > :28:30.listening. He controls them and he will get in through the other side.

:28:31. > :28:34.He will take control of the team and march them around and that is what I

:28:35. > :28:38.would expect. Castleford may be a little bit different, looking

:28:39. > :28:43.towards the coach for inspiration. This is an unmeasurable thing, the

:28:44. > :28:46.talk and influence of a leader with in the changing rooms. It is much

:28:47. > :28:50.talked about in sport but do we know the influence of it? It is really

:28:51. > :28:54.valuable when you are in a changing room of people that are talking.

:28:55. > :28:57.Look at the contrast, the contrast is stark. Kevin Sinfield giving

:28:58. > :29:01.instructions, the leadership coming from within the group. We questioned

:29:02. > :29:05.whether Castleford had the experience, and half-time probably

:29:06. > :29:09.shows that. Daryl Powell trying to wrestle back some control, and also

:29:10. > :29:17.inspire them to come out. You cannot measure it, and we do not know how

:29:18. > :29:20.both sides approach the half-time talks. It might be that Castleford

:29:21. > :29:23.get in, Michael Shenton talks, and then Daryl Powell. We do not know

:29:24. > :29:27.the balance. Exactly, but Leeds are blessed with experienced players.

:29:28. > :29:31.And in my experience in the game that is a huge benefit. Having

:29:32. > :29:35.dazzled us with your sunshine are fit, I am interested to know what

:29:36. > :29:41.comes next in the power of Ryan Hall? Zak Hardaker has had a great

:29:42. > :29:45.game, brought them back really well. Marc Sneyd with that missed tackle,

:29:46. > :29:47.he will be disappointed with that. Michael Shenton with a fantastic

:29:48. > :29:53.effort but the efforts from Zak Hardaker were huge. Liam Finn, it is

:29:54. > :29:56.four on three, there are four defenders and three attackers, but

:29:57. > :30:00.Liam Finn coming in front of the line making it 83 on three, and that

:30:01. > :30:03.allows Ryan Hall to get one-on-one. And that strength, it is insane.

:30:04. > :30:06.There are four defenders and three attackers, but Liam Finn coming in

:30:07. > :30:08.front of the line making it 83 on three, and that allows Ryan Hall to

:30:09. > :30:20.get one-on-one. And that strength, it is insane. But we can see it

:30:21. > :30:28.here. What can you do? Try to knock down his arm, a bumps you off, up

:30:29. > :30:32.top, the bumps you. Hall has got his shirt, there is no way you can knock

:30:33. > :30:37.it down. I would have liked to see the Luke Dorn knocking it down but

:30:38. > :30:41.he is so strong. Problems on the inside because you do not want to

:30:42. > :30:48.give him the one-on-one opportunity. Finn, could have got help, two-man

:30:49. > :30:52.tackle. We would certainly struggle. I can guarantee I would have

:30:53. > :30:55.struggled. CHUCKLES Let's have a look at the

:30:56. > :31:02.head-to-head we flagged up, Rob Burrow, and Daryl Clark. How do you

:31:03. > :31:06.interpret this battle? There is only one winner so far, Rob Burrow,

:31:07. > :31:19.looking at the stats. Carrying, 18-11. The tackle, this is massive,

:31:20. > :31:25.21, Rob Burrow, only six. Daryl Clark has done a lot of tackling. It

:31:26. > :31:32.shows the sign of more metres for the Leeds Rhinos. The teacher is

:31:33. > :31:38.bossing the pupil. Leeds are on top. They are kicking well. The back

:31:39. > :31:47.three have returned the ball, with a huge amount of metres. The metres,

:31:48. > :31:54.Leeds, 619 seven. Castleford, 464. That is why Rob Burrow has been

:31:55. > :31:58.involved in the game. The interesting thing is, when the game

:31:59. > :32:04.changes and it will change, will Clark have the energy left. He has

:32:05. > :32:08.made 21 tackles in the first half. Leeds looked relaxed, they know how

:32:09. > :32:14.to win these games, from the situation there are few better at

:32:15. > :32:18.closing out the big games. They are looking relaxed and focused, the

:32:19. > :32:24.second half is on the way. Let's go down to the touchline and talk to

:32:25. > :32:36.Robbie. I have two of the legends of the game. Jason, and row Malcolm.

:32:37. > :32:43.Jason, you have played in so many cup finals, what is it like playing

:32:44. > :32:46.in front of this crowd? Fantastic experience, everybody wants to play

:32:47. > :32:51.here, big stage and a great occasion. But you have got to

:32:52. > :32:58.perform. Quite interesting to is the how the first half has gone. You are

:32:59. > :33:04.a Leeds lad yourself, they have got this by the scruff of the neck. They

:33:05. > :33:09.seem to have more energy, they are making more metres, they had playing

:33:10. > :33:15.down in the Castleford 20 metre area, Castleford have to get back

:33:16. > :33:20.into it in the second half otherwise Leeds will take it on and they will

:33:21. > :33:25.run away with it. Put on your coaching hat. What will Daryl Powell

:33:26. > :33:32.be saying to the Castleford team at this time to get them back into the

:33:33. > :33:37.game? He will be concerned that Leeds are dominating the ruck area.

:33:38. > :33:43.They are getting better field position, territorial position. I

:33:44. > :33:46.reckon they have probably 70-30 so far. Compounding the problems with

:33:47. > :33:52.Castleford, they are making more errors. Like Jason said, they do not

:33:53. > :33:57.appear to be as energetic. If Leeds score the next try they will walk

:33:58. > :34:01.away with it, Castleford must address the ruck, start pushing

:34:02. > :34:05.Leeds back. Vetting opportunities and getting Read on the back foot.

:34:06. > :34:12.If they can do that they can score points. -- getting Leeds on the back

:34:13. > :34:17.foot. Thank you for joining us. Plenty of legends at Wembley this

:34:18. > :34:24.afternoon. Another one is this man, a very big clue as to Ray French's

:34:25. > :34:32.Challenge Cup memory, Leeds fans, you might know what is coming.

:34:33. > :34:38.1994, Wigan celebrated their seventh successive win, with a 26-16 victory

:34:39. > :34:45.over Leeds. It contained one of the greatest tries ever seen at Wembley.

:34:46. > :34:51.Martin Offiah, receiving the ball in the early stage of the game, close

:34:52. > :34:57.to the posts, he set. He didn't just have speed, he had poise, he could

:34:58. > :35:03.swerve and sidestep. Alan Tait happened to be the full-back on that

:35:04. > :35:07.day for Leeds. One of the finest players for Leeds, he was beaten on

:35:08. > :35:11.the inside and the outside. He scored at the other end. A

:35:12. > :35:19.magnificent try and one of the greatest we had seen. Certainly the

:35:20. > :35:26.try which was one of the greatest. Martineau fire, making space, he has

:35:27. > :35:35.got away, on the outside. This is sensational. It must rank amongst

:35:36. > :35:39.the finest ever seen on this ground. The following year, Wigan won again

:35:40. > :35:45.to give them the record of eight successive Challenge Cup final wins.

:35:46. > :35:52.STUDIO: Players of the past with Ray, players of the present in the

:35:53. > :35:55.studio, maybe some players of the future were on display earlier when

:35:56. > :36:03.we saw the champions schools final. These boys and girls, year seven.

:36:04. > :36:08.Bailey O'Connor lifting the trophy for Castleford, you saw him score a

:36:09. > :36:15.try, three tries he scored today. 24 points in total. With six

:36:16. > :36:18.conversions. Fred Woodhouse on the other side had a fantastic game,

:36:19. > :36:25.good to see them running around. What a day for them and the

:36:26. > :36:31.families. The intensity they play at, and the crowd got behind them,

:36:32. > :36:35.proper support. It was impressive, everybody getting behind them and

:36:36. > :36:39.they knew it. The quality was unbelievable. Every time they scored

:36:40. > :36:45.they were celebrating. Getting themselves in there, making the most

:36:46. > :36:54.of it. My school were here yesterday, played at Richmond, the

:36:55. > :37:01.year 19 dish -- the year nine team winning. I am assuming none of you

:37:02. > :37:10.played in this, Kevin Sinfield did, 92. I never did, I would have been

:37:11. > :37:17.fantastically privileged. I thought you would have said you were

:37:18. > :37:22.fantastic. Very privileged. How will Castleford wrest back control? They

:37:23. > :37:28.need a big start. They need to slow down the ruck. Take control of the

:37:29. > :37:33.game. Both teams computing over 80%, they will be happy but they need to

:37:34. > :37:38.create more. Getting some more ball. Enjoy themselves. 40 minutes away

:37:39. > :37:43.from finding out who will win the Challenge Cup. Castleford 4-16 and

:37:44. > :37:52.the second half now with Brian and Jonathan and David. COMMENTATOR: It

:37:53. > :37:59.will take a big turnaround, in terms of the pattern the way has gone --

:38:00. > :38:02.that it has gone so far, Leeds have been impressive, the way they have

:38:03. > :38:12.lost the game. Their big-game experience, those 44 cup finals in

:38:13. > :38:16.the bag. Childhood memories of Wembley, Kevin Sinfield played in

:38:17. > :38:21.one of the warm up games in 1992, playing for old boys. The year

:38:22. > :38:28.Castleford were last at Wembley. Beaten by Wigan. Castleford hoping

:38:29. > :38:34.they can turn this around, they have 40 minutes in which to do it.

:38:35. > :38:41.Jonathan Davies and Brian Noble, what chance? I am not so

:38:42. > :38:45.pessimistic, Castleford made errors in their own half. If they can get

:38:46. > :38:54.field position, they can score points. If they score first, game

:38:55. > :39:00.on. As Malcolm said, that is where Leeds have dominated. Patience,

:39:01. > :39:09.complete the sets, field position. Try to force the error. This is the

:39:10. > :39:17.error, Hardaker. He has dropped it. Castleford with the early twist of

:39:18. > :39:22.fortune in their favour. Wheeldon. Finn, wrapped up by the defenders.

:39:23. > :39:30.Castleford require something to happen early. It is a good ball for

:39:31. > :39:45.Holmes. Ellis, getting the dummy half. Spinning back. Four tackles to

:39:46. > :39:53.go, for Castleford. Finn, McGuire, and Clark at dummy half. Little kick

:39:54. > :40:02.by Shenton, Hardaker taking it behind his own Goldline. --

:40:03. > :40:07.goal-line. This is the difference, composure and decision-making by the

:40:08. > :40:16.half-backs. Sneyd is off, Luke Dorn is coming up. Just keep their

:40:17. > :40:24.composure, Cas. Jon Wilkin said, their time will come, there is

:40:25. > :40:32.momentum in sport. Burrow, he saw an opportunity but it closed thanks to

:40:33. > :40:40.the tackles. McGuire will hammer its downfield and make Castleford work

:40:41. > :40:48.again. Carney. That's a great chase. They were busting their guts to get

:40:49. > :40:55.there. Interesting to see what the camps had to say in the first time

:40:56. > :40:59.break, let's hear about Leeds. He has told them to keep doing what

:41:00. > :41:04.they are doing, dominate them on the ruck, keep an eye on Daryl Clark and

:41:05. > :41:11.keep them in their own half, he has clearly lost his accreditation. He

:41:12. > :41:18.almost lost the opportunity because of the security guard. We will see

:41:19. > :41:26.if this amounts to anything on the sixth tackle, Liam Finn, Hardaker

:41:27. > :41:31.underneath it. He will be stopped 15 metres out. What about the

:41:32. > :41:36.Castleford camp? Daryl Powell getting the law down, focusing his

:41:37. > :41:41.players for the second half. He said we have been dominated by Leeds, too

:41:42. > :41:51.many mistakes and we need to improve kicking and settle quickly. Not

:41:52. > :41:56.doing too badly. Again, Finn's, his kick did not put Leeds under any

:41:57. > :42:00.pressure. They are so comfortable in bringing the ball out, look where

:42:01. > :42:07.they are. Delaney, inside the Castleford half. Sinfield has extra

:42:08. > :42:15.time to get kick away. Measured to perfection. Dorn, having to deal

:42:16. > :42:24.with it. They could be something here. Carney, wrapped up, Leeds,

:42:25. > :42:32.working hard without the ball. Brilliant defence. You can talk

:42:33. > :42:34.about the styles, Leeds, they are doing well about kicking the ball

:42:35. > :42:39.into the corner and backing themselves. It is tough for

:42:40. > :42:46.Castleford to get out of their own half. Lee Jewitt, he is on tackle

:42:47. > :42:54.five, just under 30 metres, it requires another good kick and down

:42:55. > :42:59.it goes, he has found some grass. They have got an extra couple of

:43:00. > :43:08.yards. Leeds, coming back in the shape of Tom Briscoe. McGuire, he is

:43:09. > :43:15.quick. Ryan Hall. Adding the impetus. They are already within

:43:16. > :43:25.breathing distance of the halfway line. Prime example, two carries,

:43:26. > :43:32.over 25 metres. This relentlessness that Leeds, are showing, Castleford

:43:33. > :43:36.have to do something. It might not be a classic final but it is a

:43:37. > :43:45.classic performance from the Leeds Rhinos so far. Peacock. Sixth

:43:46. > :43:51.tackle, 20 metres out. Options. Sinfield. He has kicked it out on

:43:52. > :43:58.the full. It is the first mistaken Leeds have made. Not exactly a huge

:43:59. > :44:06.mistake in terms of what it gives away. I did not see any point in

:44:07. > :44:12.that kick. As a coach, in that position, why not put it up into the

:44:13. > :44:20.air and make it competition. There is a chance you could score. Here

:44:21. > :44:27.you have the break from Lee Jewitt, he has helped Castleford in this

:44:28. > :44:35.area. Clerk with a bit of space in which to run. He is pulled down, but

:44:36. > :44:46.he has kept this alive. Leeds, working hard. They are not going

:44:47. > :44:50.forward, laid the platform. Shenton. Terrific ball back on the inside.

:44:51. > :45:02.Oliver homes, he will going to score. Castleford hearts are lifted.

:45:03. > :45:07.Holmes, OBE goes. -- over he goes. Just what we needed, the final

:45:08. > :45:16.needed, at the start of the second half, Castleford back and fighting.

:45:17. > :45:20.Out of nothing as well, it shows their ability and their spatial

:45:21. > :45:27.awareness, they went down the left, brilliant support play by this man.

:45:28. > :45:32.Game on now. It will raise the Castleford side and their fans.

:45:33. > :45:41.Ellis creates the overlap for Luke Dorn. Michael Shenton releases

:45:42. > :45:48.Holmes, brilliant skill. Brilliant skill from Shenton. This is a

:45:49. > :45:53.forward pass, but one on one, Watkins, on the inside with

:45:54. > :46:00.Shenton, great support and a bit of magic. Creating the try. It will

:46:01. > :46:11.lift the whole stadium, the Castleford fans and the players.

:46:12. > :46:18.They know that Leeds cannot play as well as they did in the first half.

:46:19. > :46:22.I imagine, Steve McNamara, the England coach watching this in

:46:23. > :46:26.Australia making a note because the centres are in contention for the

:46:27. > :46:33.four nations, Shenton and Watkins. Good morning, Steve, hope you are

:46:34. > :46:41.enjoying it. Finn, with a kick, taking over, he is not a bad kicker.

:46:42. > :46:51.Ten points to Castleford, and it is now 16 four Leeds. This was the

:46:52. > :46:59.suspect pass, but play on. Holmes, supporting on the inside. Unsung

:47:00. > :47:08.hero. Game on. The first error, from Kevin Sinfield. Can you trace that

:47:09. > :47:14.try back to that moment, Castleford would have had the ball anyway. It

:47:15. > :47:23.depends where they would have had the ball. A little bit of disruption

:47:24. > :47:34.putting the ball over. You cannot. Come on. Mistake again. Off the

:47:35. > :47:42.restart from the first set. Mistake and the knock-on under pressure. Why

:47:43. > :47:51.would you kick the ball into touch rather than hanging on, putting it

:47:52. > :47:55.in the air and competing for it. I think he was getting the kick away.

:47:56. > :48:06.Ideally to kick the ball, you get it back. Creating the competition or

:48:07. > :48:14.going for field position. Here comes Peacock, running hard. Five metres

:48:15. > :48:24.away from the line. Leeds looking to re-establish authority. McGuire.

:48:25. > :48:31.Excellent response from Cas. Carl Ablett looking to force his way.

:48:32. > :48:41.Leeds playing quicker, this is the danger. Moon, the cul-de-sac, closed

:48:42. > :48:48.down. Hardaker, creating space for Watkins. He is not tackled. This

:48:49. > :48:59.pass is a poor one, Castleford survive. Are we just watching a

:49:00. > :49:10.swing in momentum? The game has come to life. The score has breathed new

:49:11. > :49:16.life into Castleford. We talk about the man of the match, Lee Jewitt is

:49:17. > :49:26.putting himself in the frame. What a story he is writing, after the night

:49:27. > :49:34.my -- nightmare he had last year. Clark, Finn, chipping it straight

:49:35. > :49:42.towards Tom Briscoe, catching it in the deep. Finn, he is under

:49:43. > :49:55.pressure, Leeds, closing him down very quickly. Hardaker. On the

:49:56. > :50:04.blindside. The touch judge, having a good look over there. Kirk,

:50:05. > :50:15.Castleford, adding some relish to their defence. Out it comes. Moon,

:50:16. > :50:21.on the right-hand side. A little flick for Ryan Hall. Looking to

:50:22. > :50:30.cause mayhem in the middle but they are all over him. Completed tackle.

:50:31. > :50:39.Burrow, down the blindside and in the kick and out of play. News on

:50:40. > :50:44.the touchline? Bret Delaney is carrying his left arm. The physio

:50:45. > :50:51.has gone on. I do not think he will be dragged off at the moment. What

:50:52. > :51:01.has not been issued, Craig Huby's elbow. They would not have taken any

:51:02. > :51:05.risk if there was a doubt. He has been at the club since 15, nobody

:51:06. > :51:20.more than him deserves to be out there. Castleford now have their

:51:21. > :51:34.tails up. Cas will have to do get the kicks in. Big defensive effort

:51:35. > :51:41.in this set. Huby. It is a dangerous one. Dorn, he has got it away.

:51:42. > :51:54.Shenton, and he has support. Still going. Tom Briscoe did well to hang

:51:55. > :51:59.on. Finn. Chip and chase. Trying to get the pass inside. I think the

:52:00. > :52:06.forward pass from Finn, means it will be a handover. You were asking

:52:07. > :52:15.the question about Mark Sneyd, Damian Johnson, he has the answer.

:52:16. > :52:18.He's a very creative player and influential this season, but it was

:52:19. > :52:29.tactical, the replacement, he's not injured. At the moment, Cas not

:52:30. > :52:35.really missing him. Leeds, so dominant, defensively he was not

:52:36. > :52:50.road getting involved. Tactical decision. Sinfield, McGuire,

:52:51. > :52:59.Hardaker. Watkins. Closing in, Ellis wrapping around his ankles and pulls

:53:00. > :53:09.him down. Leeds, warming up again. McGuire, Leuluai. Five gone. Burrow,

:53:10. > :53:18.McGuire with the kick, Dixon will challenge. Nobody went for it.

:53:19. > :53:25.Interesting if Castleford score next, psychologically on Leeds, the

:53:26. > :53:31.nightmares of the defeat in the final, how will it affect them

:53:32. > :53:44.psychologically. Huby, going into the challenge of Leuluai. This is

:53:45. > :53:48.Clark, four gone. Castleford in familiar territory, trying to get

:53:49. > :53:59.out field possession, and the kick going out on the full. Ellis under

:54:00. > :54:05.pressure. This is what Castleford have to clean up. They have been

:54:06. > :54:15.rushed out of the field, he has gone on four, get one more. Give it to

:54:16. > :54:22.Finn, or Ellis. This is your answer, he's not injured and he's

:54:23. > :54:32.coming back. Sometimes the occasion gets to you. Five tackles, Leeds, 20

:54:33. > :54:42.metres from the Castleford line. Burrow, collecting it from the boots

:54:43. > :54:47.of Delaney. Sinfield, Watkins. He has been a hero in blue and amber

:54:48. > :54:58.for Leeds, despite defeats wrote at Wembley. Hardaker getting it onto

:54:59. > :55:03.Joel Moon. The pass has gone to ground, it has gone backwards.

:55:04. > :55:09.Suspected it had gone over the try line, the referee could have asked

:55:10. > :55:20.for the Wii play. Allowing play to go on. Hardaker has gone down.

:55:21. > :55:26.Watkins, Sinfield, Tom Briscoe. Desperate Castleford defending.

:55:27. > :55:44.Waterloo. Brilliant, brilliant defence. They are getting into this

:55:45. > :55:46.game, Castleford, no lack of belief. Castleford, the way they are

:55:47. > :55:52.performing in the second half, whatever the outcome, they will not

:55:53. > :55:58.have any regrets, they are very much involved in this 2014 Tetley 's

:55:59. > :56:10.Challenge Cup final. Huby, lovely flick. They are not going to change

:56:11. > :56:21.the way they play. Lee Jewitt, ganging up on him now. Sneyd, with

:56:22. > :56:33.the kick. Holding up short of the goal-line. Briscoe, Hardaker. He

:56:34. > :56:41.gets no further than Jamie Ellis. Burrow, Briscoe. It was a good kick

:56:42. > :56:46.from Sneyd, making an instant difference. Clark has gone off as

:56:47. > :57:01.well. Why Burrow, McGuire, not quite bossing

:57:02. > :57:10.it as much as they were, Leeds, but still in the box seat. Sixth tackle

:57:11. > :57:19.for Chris Sinfield dash for Sinfield.

:57:20. > :57:24.Castleford, they found themselves a decent kick and they got field

:57:25. > :57:38.position, more pressure on the Leeds kickers. Dixon. Running it away.

:57:39. > :57:43.Finn, Huby again. Jumping at him but he is giving it back. Is he just

:57:44. > :57:53.carrying that arm, maybe he is feeling it. Maybe the elbow is

:57:54. > :58:04.beginning to cause a problem. Finn, stepping away. Paul Ayton, on the

:58:05. > :58:11.field. A lot of viewers, in Papua New Guinea, where rugby league as

:58:12. > :58:18.the national sport, one of the first men from Papua New Guinea to play in

:58:19. > :58:25.the Challenge Cup final. There is the big kick downfield, taken by

:58:26. > :58:34.Hardaker. Castleford into his face. It's a good tackle. Not so many blue

:58:35. > :58:43.shirts behind the ball now, is the occasion,

:58:44. > :58:49.shirts behind the ball now, is the played. Heraklion delayed

:58:50. > :58:56.looking to take on the big men down the middle. Huby seems OK again,

:58:57. > :59:05.here comes Bailey. Straight and forward. Last tackle, Sinfield.

:59:06. > :59:16.Carefully, considerably, finding touch. Robbie, what are you saying

:59:17. > :59:20.on the touchline? This is a situation Brian Noble will be

:59:21. > :59:27.familiar with, 2003 final, we were up against the Leeds Rhinos. It puts

:59:28. > :59:30.pressure on the team in front. Castleford in the last 20 minutes,

:59:31. > :59:36.they will have a real go to pull back the six points. Leeds need to

:59:37. > :59:45.play up their sets, they need to do it for the rest of the game. Carney,

:59:46. > :59:55.he has tried an offload, putting his side under pressure. Luke Dorn, able

:59:56. > :00:11.to clear it up. There was no need for that kind of ball. Get in touch

:00:12. > :00:19.with us at the website, and also on twitter. You can sum it up on the

:00:20. > :00:30.forum. That was a good set. Now, we want a good kick. Liam Finn pumping

:00:31. > :00:37.it high. Zak Hardaker backtracking but catching it simply. Which player

:00:38. > :00:40.is going to do it, who is going to break the game open? It will be the

:00:41. > :00:47.bounds of the ball, and it is getting a bit nervous. The last 20

:00:48. > :00:54.minutes there will be a lot of tired legs out there, somebody like Daryl

:00:55. > :01:01.Clark, they need a bit of magic. Peacock. Look at that for an effort.

:01:02. > :01:05.Taking it to the halfway line. Landing on his feet, he gets and

:01:06. > :01:11.playing it quickly. Skips forward, and running into the man that way

:01:12. > :01:18.number ten. Rob Burrow knows that he has been hit. Kevin Sinfield,

:01:19. > :01:22.rolling it across the carpet that is Wembley. Luke Dorn was thinking

:01:23. > :01:30.about letting it go but decided that he had to pick it up. From far out,

:01:31. > :01:35.that is a good kick. From that distance out, that is very good, and

:01:36. > :01:43.it is always so daunting bringing it up from the corner. That is where

:01:44. > :01:51.they have got the edge, the back three, Paul, Zak Hardaker and

:01:52. > :01:56.Briscoe, they make a lot of yardage. Castleford struggling a little bit.

:01:57. > :02:06.Dixon. They need a good drive here now. Decent drive, just to put them

:02:07. > :02:12.back a little bit. You can see that, equal in tackles made and tackles

:02:13. > :02:17.missed. He has just, just past it. It is not a 40-20. Ryan Hall was

:02:18. > :02:23.asking the referee to go to the video referee because he thought

:02:24. > :02:29.that it went out on the full. And again, that last kick. Does it hit

:02:30. > :02:34.the line? Just. I think that he is having a decent game on the

:02:35. > :02:41.touchline. A great decision. His flag needs a bit of maintenance. If

:02:42. > :02:44.the players keep their shirts, I wonder if the touch judges keep

:02:45. > :02:57.their flags and put them in a cupboard? Rob Burrow. Ryan Hall. 16

:02:58. > :03:03.minutes of the game to play out. In previous games, we have been very

:03:04. > :03:11.close. A draw and a 2-point win for this. A draw would take us to a

:03:12. > :03:15.replay. There is no golden point extra time in the Challenge Cup

:03:16. > :03:17.final. It is the only rugby league game domestically that does not have

:03:18. > :03:23.that kind of conclusion in knockout football. Rob Burrow. The replay

:03:24. > :03:32.will be at Bramall Lane. September three. Let's not get ahead of

:03:33. > :03:40.ourselves! Kevin Sinfield. Danny McGuire. Zak Hardaker. Joel Moon

:03:41. > :03:50.running into that little pocket. Certain malice in the tackle? No.

:03:51. > :03:54.Six tackle coming up. And again! That is a good kick, it is a great

:03:55. > :04:02.kick. Good communication, and a brilliant chase. Drop out underneath

:04:03. > :04:06.the sticks conceded. Just watch, absolutely nothing you can do. He

:04:07. > :04:22.gets smashed. Perfectly weighted kick. And a great chase.

:04:23. > :04:30.Taking their time, as they are allowed to do. Daryl Powell has

:04:31. > :04:35.rolled the dice, he has thrown Daryl Clark back out there, 15 minutes

:04:36. > :04:46.ago. He has had his rest, now, Daryl Clark. Climbing into it again.

:04:47. > :04:50.People at that dummy half. I would go for the drop goal here with my

:04:51. > :04:54.last tackle, even at this stage of the game, if I have got the field

:04:55. > :05:06.position, I would go for the drop goal. Alan Watkins! He was dragged

:05:07. > :05:09.down! -- Kallum Watkins. It is Kevin Sinfield again. Jones-Buchanan.

:05:10. > :05:17.Castleford hanging on. Cannot afford to go to schools behind at this

:05:18. > :05:21.stage of the game. -- to go to scores behind. Across to Ryan Hall.

:05:22. > :05:28.Dragging defenders with him. Over and he scores! I think that Ryan

:05:29. > :05:35.Hall has just scored his 199th career try! His second today at

:05:36. > :05:44.Wembley. And again, he owes so much to brute strength. Out of nothing!

:05:45. > :05:50.That is absolutely out of nothing. The first try was all power,

:05:51. > :05:57.determination, and this is the same. There we go. That is just... You

:05:58. > :06:01.know, he is very difficult to handle. You have you tried you put

:06:02. > :06:08.him on the deck. They go high again on him, and he is away. There is

:06:09. > :06:12.everything in there, there was a see you later on Liam Finn with his

:06:13. > :06:17.right hand, he tries to get him, but his legs keep on going. He puts it

:06:18. > :06:20.down, and says see you later, I have got you Jake Webster. Weller Hauraki

:06:21. > :06:28.tries to make an effort, but he is too strong. We mentioned that the

:06:29. > :06:33.press are picking somebody, I tell you what, he has had a huge game.

:06:34. > :06:38.When he has been called into this game, he has been brilliant. He has

:06:39. > :06:43.returned the ball, he has made a lot of yardage, and he has had two

:06:44. > :06:48.crucial tries. He is definitely up there in my estimation.

:06:49. > :06:58.Kevin Sinfield, uttering a few words to himself to settle his nerves and

:06:59. > :07:02.settle his mind ahead of this kick. Trying to put it further out of

:07:03. > :07:08.reach from Castleford, is it going to go in? No it is not... Yet it is!

:07:09. > :07:14.It hit the right, hit the left and dropped over. It took an awful lot

:07:15. > :07:16.of time. Was that a sign? There has been nothing aesthetically pleasing

:07:17. > :07:23.about Ryan Hall's tries, but they have been brutally impressive. He is

:07:24. > :07:30.a great finisher. He needs one more than 200. If he gets a hat-trick

:07:31. > :07:38.today... That will make that. So, what a way to reach that landmark it

:07:39. > :07:45.would be. Michael Shenton. What response from Castleford? Have they

:07:46. > :07:49.got it in their hearts to lift themselves again in the 12 minutes

:07:50. > :07:59.that remain to score at least twice? They will give it a go. Here is

:08:00. > :08:03.Daryl Clark. Liam Finn. Just the little drop of the shoulder. Even

:08:04. > :08:13.aiding the tackle. Daryl Clark again. 20 metres away. Only one

:08:14. > :08:18.tackle left in this set. Marc Sneyd. Putting it high. Have a go at that

:08:19. > :08:22.one, Justin Carney. He knocks it backwards but there were plenty of

:08:23. > :08:27.Leeds players to make sure they were back safe. Brian McDermott down on

:08:28. > :08:33.the touchline. Leeds looking to be strong here in

:08:34. > :08:47.this set. Paul Aiton. Liam Sutcliffe... Ablett. Not going

:08:48. > :09:05.far. Daryl Powell, ever anxious, as he

:09:06. > :09:11.watches down from his window. Kevin Sinfield's kick is charged down, and

:09:12. > :09:15.Frankie Mariano dropping on it. That was good play, closing him down.

:09:16. > :09:23.That is a big boost for Castleford. My word. Daryl Clark again at dummy

:09:24. > :09:33.half. Bonus position granted. Lee Jewitt. Here is Daryl Clark again. A

:09:34. > :09:40.little dash from Marc Sneyd. Luke Dorn is quick to his feet. Michael

:09:41. > :09:46.Shenton. Across the line. Weller Hauraki. Quickly away. Webster,

:09:47. > :09:50.slipping inside. Too many Leeds defenders around him. Here comes the

:09:51. > :09:54.last play of the game... The last play of the six, I should say.

:09:55. > :09:59.Weller Hauraki. Liam Finn with the chip over the top. Up go the arms,

:10:00. > :10:02.but it comes back to Leeds. We are going to get a knock-on anyway.

:10:03. > :10:17.Castleford give up position and possession. Well, he had the chance.

:10:18. > :10:22.Ten minutes left to play. Here is Tom Briscoe. Running across the

:10:23. > :10:25.line. You do not aim the Justin Carney, do you. Do not give him a

:10:26. > :10:39.target running across field. Kylie Leuluai. Establishing that

:10:40. > :10:46.holding pattern. Jones-Buchanan. Strange, they have had that in their

:10:47. > :10:53.game, couple of low passes. Danny McGuire taking it away. Luke Dorn is

:10:54. > :10:58.going to take this safely enough, and running it back. Looking to one

:10:59. > :11:04.side, and suddenly Castleford have got to start swinging the arm. It is

:11:05. > :11:11.knocked down. The referee says play on. I think that was a knock-on. Me

:11:12. > :11:24.too. That is a big moment in the game. Yes. Look at this. Is that a

:11:25. > :11:30.knock-on? But it has given Leeds this position. Paul Aiton. McGuire.

:11:31. > :11:36.Ablett. Zak Hardaker joining in once again.

:11:37. > :11:43.Ablett. McGuire! Kevin Sinfield is imposition. Watch this. Just give it

:11:44. > :11:58.to him. WHISTLE Well, they are going to have to take

:11:59. > :12:03.their time. There is an injury here. Danny McGuire is looking a long way

:12:04. > :12:11.away from being comfortable. Kevin Sinfield is ready and waiting.

:12:12. > :12:23.So what happened here? I think he has just fallen on him. I think Paul

:12:24. > :12:29.Aiton's head caught him in the ribs, I think.

:12:30. > :12:36.Danny McGuire getting some treatment, will be held up a little.

:12:37. > :12:42.There is a young man that will be enjoying the game, Harry Jepson, the

:12:43. > :12:48.Leeds president, he came to his first Challenge Cup final in 1974,

:12:49. > :12:49.has not missed many since. Just pointing out there that he is on the

:12:50. > :13:04.telly. They are two great characters of the

:13:05. > :13:08.game. Jamie Peacock stalking around amongst his team-mates. Making sure

:13:09. > :13:16.that they do not lose their concentration.

:13:17. > :13:27.It is a twist, here. An uncomfortable twist. There has been

:13:28. > :13:35.plenty of big impact, big collisions. Here we are. Looking for

:13:36. > :13:39.the drop goal, a lost position. Ryan Hall, back to Kevin Sinfield,

:13:40. > :13:47.looking for the chip over the top. Dixon quick to react and now Luke

:13:48. > :13:52.Dorn. Going back to the left-hand side. Marc Sneyd. That was desperate

:13:53. > :14:02.from Castleford. It was a great chase to close down Kevin Sinfield.

:14:03. > :14:10.Here is Daryl Clark at dummy half. Liam Finn. Luke Dorn. Carney.

:14:11. > :14:22.Striding off a couple of attempted tackles. Need to play this quickly.

:14:23. > :14:26.Weller Hauraki. For tackles gone. I was going to say that it was a

:14:27. > :14:31.turnover but the referee has given a penalty. They have got some field

:14:32. > :14:36.position. It is now never for Castleford. This set, they need to

:14:37. > :14:44.score. They need to score, yes. Liam Finn putting it out of play. His

:14:45. > :14:52.foot was in there. Clark. Nathan Massey. This is Daryl Clark. Liam

:14:53. > :14:58.Finn trying to work things. Trying to make things happen. Webster.

:14:59. > :15:02.Somehow they will keep possession. Another set of six because it got a

:15:03. > :15:04.Leeds touch. Weller Hauraki picking himself up and playing it. Marc

:15:05. > :15:16.Sneyd across two great QB. Great QB. -- Craig Huby. Setting up the

:15:17. > :15:19.midpoint of the field. And now Nathan Massey running it back from

:15:20. > :15:25.where it came. Three tackles to go in the set. Daryl Clark. Marc

:15:26. > :15:30.Sneyd. A couple of dummy runners. Luke Dorn cannot shake off the

:15:31. > :15:35.attentions of Danny McGuire. For my money he has had an outstanding game

:15:36. > :15:42.Danny McGuire, in so many areas. Marc Sneyd with nowhere to go. Still

:15:43. > :15:45.tackles left. Daryl Clark looking on the blindside. Luke Dorn with the

:15:46. > :15:54.float, it went backwards. Daryl Clark. Liam Finn. Out to Michael

:15:55. > :15:59.Shenton. Batting away the attentions of Kallum Watkins, but while he was

:16:00. > :16:04.doing that, there was more Leeds players coming across. They are

:16:05. > :16:10.everywhere. Final tackle. Liam Finn putting in the kick. Danny McGuire

:16:11. > :16:16.is there, a simple catch. The Leeds defence has been solid. That has

:16:17. > :16:18.been the difference. Burrow, McGuire, Kevin Sinfield, the

:16:19. > :16:23.execution there has been a difference. McGuire feeling that

:16:24. > :16:43.earlier injury. Jones-Buchanan. Five minutes left to play in this

:16:44. > :16:48.game. It is a penalty for Leeds. And ladies and gentlemen, the press, the

:16:49. > :16:53.Rugby league writers Association have made their choice for the man

:16:54. > :17:02.of the matchwinner. Ryan Hall! He becomes only the sixth Leeds player

:17:03. > :17:10.to win the trophy for that too tries that have made such a difference in

:17:11. > :17:16.this game. Even though it was such a great team performance, he deserves

:17:17. > :17:22.that. The last two Leeds players to win that, Kevin Sinfield in 2005,

:17:23. > :17:27.they were on the losing side. Surely Leeds record in this century, in

:17:28. > :17:37.Challenge Cup finals, it is coming to its conclusion here today.

:17:38. > :17:43.Ablett. The Leeds fans chance, ringing around Wembley Stadium now.

:17:44. > :17:46.Peacock. Has he been off the field today apart from half-time? He has.

:17:47. > :17:52.Paul Aiton. Kevin Sinfield again thinking about the drop goal. He

:17:53. > :17:54.cannot do it. Danny McGuire might. Danny McGuire adding the final

:17:55. > :18:03.points. And look at that celebration! Now they can let

:18:04. > :18:08.themselves enjoy this moment. It has been 14 years in the making! As we

:18:09. > :18:12.have said, that has been the difference. Going to Kevin Sinfield,

:18:13. > :18:18.he knows that he is on his shoulder. A lovely drop goal. And they know

:18:19. > :18:28.it. That is it. That is when they can relax a little bit and know that

:18:29. > :18:38.they have one the Challenge Cup. 42 losing cup final medals between this

:18:39. > :18:43.Leeds team. As a collective, as a group, they have never lifted the

:18:44. > :18:50.Challenge Cup. This time is so much different to all of the other times.

:18:51. > :18:57.This generation of Leeds players will go down as Wembley winners.

:18:58. > :19:10.Jamie Peacock. Very much the heartbeat. Danny McGuire, likewise.

:19:11. > :19:19.The announcement that Ryan Hall has won the Lance Todd trophy. Rob

:19:20. > :19:22.Burrow was another one of those involved in 2004, the Grand Final

:19:23. > :19:28.victory that set in motion this decade of Leeds success. But so far

:19:29. > :19:35.they have not had that Wembley moment to save you. Jones-Buchanan

:19:36. > :19:43.is bursting through. A good tackle. This is Paul Aiton. Liam Sutcliffe.

:19:44. > :19:53.The youngster, only 19 years of age. Paul Aiton. Peacock. Castleford will

:19:54. > :20:03.keep their resistance till the end. Jamie Peacock once the try. It is

:20:04. > :20:06.his 250th Leeds appearance. Paul Aiton spinning away, Zak Hardaker

:20:07. > :20:12.has a bit of space to work but he will be held up. Back you go. Ten

:20:13. > :20:17.yards further back to play-the-ball now.

:20:18. > :20:22.There have been moment in the game that have hinted it would be the

:20:23. > :20:30.classic that we have hoped for, but it has never quite flourished fully.

:20:31. > :20:35.It has been a contest that will go down as one of the very, very good

:20:36. > :20:39.Wembley performances, especially the first half from Leeds, who have been

:20:40. > :20:47.ruthlessly efficient throughout. They have been tested. I tell you

:20:48. > :20:51.what, he has run, Danny McGuire. It has been, as has been said, it has

:20:52. > :20:57.been a great team effort from Leeds. It has been a machine-like

:20:58. > :21:00.performance. They had a job to do, they got the monkey off their back

:21:01. > :21:06.now, and now they have to get the winner 's medal. They have one job

:21:07. > :21:11.to do, climb those steps. And that is not a bad job for a Saturday

:21:12. > :21:15.afternoon. The steps at Wembley Stadium, bathed in sunshine.

:21:16. > :21:24.And they will have the yellow and blue ribbons wrapped around the cup.

:21:25. > :21:28.Even with less than a minute ago, the line defensively has been

:21:29. > :21:32.brilliant. Daryl Clark wants to put his mark on this Wembley occasion.

:21:33. > :21:36.That is the first time he has made a break from the play-the-ball. The

:21:37. > :21:41.penalty goes for Castleford, they have two take it quickly. He will

:21:42. > :21:48.put it down field, but Zak Hardaker will just put this out of play,

:21:49. > :21:54.surely. There goes the hooter! And there goes the hoodoo! The golden

:21:55. > :21:59.generation finally has its golden fleece. They have Wembley cup final

:22:00. > :22:06.winners medals to add to their collection.

:22:07. > :22:12.Leeds and the Challenge Cup, finally three words you can put in the same

:22:13. > :22:15.sentence as success. Rob Burrow has been there from the start. So many

:22:16. > :22:20.others in this team have been there from the start as well. And finally,

:22:21. > :22:24.they have their day in the sunshine. They lift the Challenge Cup.

:22:25. > :22:32.Phenomenal performance. Thoroughly deserved. It is nice to see players

:22:33. > :22:41.like Kevin Sinfield win this. A fantastic performance. Brian, many

:22:42. > :22:44.congratulations, you have spoken so many times over the years about what

:22:45. > :22:51.a special group of players this is. How proud I them today? I do not

:22:52. > :22:54.know really what to say. It was an epic game, Castleford gave it a

:22:55. > :22:57.really good go. They will be hurting, we have been there

:22:58. > :23:03.ourselves, as everybody knows. But today, I am happy for the players,

:23:04. > :23:07.happy for those that have been there for so many occasions. It is not a

:23:08. > :23:10.nice place to lose, this. I am really pleased for all of those

:23:11. > :23:15.people. They have had to endure a hell of a lot over the last few

:23:16. > :23:20.years and we have done it. You look incredibly emotional, I have to say.

:23:21. > :23:23.There is a bit in there, I will not go over the top here, I will leave

:23:24. > :23:27.that behind closed doors, but it has been a long time coming for the club

:23:28. > :23:30.and I underestimate how big it is for the club. There are far better

:23:31. > :23:34.people and far more qualified people can tell what it means to it than

:23:35. > :23:37.me. I have not been here for that long time but I have enjoyed some

:23:38. > :23:40.great and horrible times with this group of people and it continues and

:23:41. > :23:45.I am immensely privileged to be involved with them. Did you feel

:23:46. > :23:49.there were questions to be answered? We kept talking about the hoodoo,

:23:50. > :23:54.did you feel you had to answer that? We had been here six times and lost,

:23:55. > :23:57.so the answer was yes! We will go back to what we said before, the

:23:58. > :24:01.players have said that they have had a fantastic career and it has been

:24:02. > :24:06.brilliant, they were in the Grand Final six times, so you have to

:24:07. > :24:09.qualify it. It meant an awful lot. I cannot stop talking about the monkey

:24:10. > :24:14.on the back but it makes the silverware cabinet look a little bit

:24:15. > :24:17.prettier. Enjoy celebrating and congratulations. Let's bring in the

:24:18. > :24:21.man of the match, Ryan Hall. Congratulations. Finally Challenge

:24:22. > :24:25.Cup winner. 2-macro I know, thank God.

:24:26. > :24:36.I know, thank God. This one, it has made it all the more special. Six

:24:37. > :24:39.time lucky. Is their sense of? No, there's a sense of enjoyment. I

:24:40. > :24:43.thoroughly enjoyed the whole week building up. We have gone through it

:24:44. > :24:46.this year. We had that sense of belief that we could win it, even

:24:47. > :24:54.though we had is hoodoo about us. That was put to one side and I have

:24:55. > :25:00.got that enjoyment now. What about the two tries, Moby was going to

:25:01. > :25:06.stop you. -- nobody was going to. Yes, it really was. You looked

:25:07. > :25:11.likeable those. The guys often say that I should get out of there. The

:25:12. > :25:16.celebrations will be special given what you have gone through. It will

:25:17. > :25:19.be fantastic. We will be letting loose a little bit. The lads made up

:25:20. > :25:24.one of these boring parody accounts on Twitter for me this week, but I

:25:25. > :25:29.will take that anyway! Congratulations, let's bring in the

:25:30. > :25:32.captain, Kevin Sinfield. I know that you said this would not be career

:25:33. > :25:37.defining but you must have dreams a fair few times about finally getting

:25:38. > :25:40.to that cup? Yes, we have been here a few times and come away with

:25:41. > :25:45.second place. So to finally get over the line, it is one that we were

:25:46. > :25:50.really relaxed about, and like I said, it has not been that at all,

:25:51. > :25:54.we wanted to win for the right reasons, and it just shows sometimes

:25:55. > :26:00.you have do persevere at whatever it is to come through and people have

:26:01. > :26:04.to finish at some stage, and to lead this side out five times and have

:26:05. > :26:09.the walk of having lost, it is tough. It sticks with you. But

:26:10. > :26:13.hopefully for all of the fans, families and friends today, this

:26:14. > :26:16.will make up for it. Back in 1999 when you were left out, you have

:26:17. > :26:24.talked in the past about that being a defining moment and pushing you

:26:25. > :26:29.on. It is payback? It is not payback, in 1999I was just a squad

:26:30. > :26:32.player, 2000 was the one that hurt. It is not payback at all, this

:26:33. > :26:38.trophy has aways meant something to me. Every single one of us has got a

:26:39. > :26:43.bit of history, whether it is lost once, twice, or five like a few of

:26:44. > :26:46.us. To finally cracked it, it is not only great for us as a group, but as

:26:47. > :26:51.a club. I think the club deserves it, by the way. But the fans. To

:26:52. > :26:54.come here so many times and have to do that long journey home having

:26:55. > :26:59.paid all of that hard earned money, it is tough, but hopefully today

:27:00. > :27:04.will be smiling. Many congratulations, enjoy picking up

:27:05. > :27:09.that trophy. Obviously we will be bringing you plenty more reaction

:27:10. > :27:12.and we will be bringing you the Castleford camp as well as they

:27:13. > :27:18.collect their runners-up medals after the match officials. There was

:27:19. > :27:22.some emotion there, Eorl Crabtree. For me, that is the highlight of the

:27:23. > :27:26.game, the emotion that you can see on the players faces and also for

:27:27. > :27:30.the coach. Almost welling up! That is amazing is how much it meant to

:27:31. > :27:34.the players. As a player myself, I can only imagine I would feel

:27:35. > :27:37.exactly the same way. It is impressive, the performance they put

:27:38. > :27:42.in, they knew exactly what they were doing and they came away with a

:27:43. > :27:46.victory. Other sports fans sometimes accuse people that play for their

:27:47. > :27:50.teams of not caring sometimes and it being just a job, it is more than a

:27:51. > :27:55.job or all of you, but particularly when you see the Leeds Rhinos

:27:56. > :27:59.players. It is, and they have had fantastically successful careers. If

:28:00. > :28:01.they lost today, that golden era of players would still be renowned as

:28:02. > :28:08.one of the finest groups of players to come through in rugby, but these

:28:09. > :28:12.moments are special. So special. You have got to cherish them. On the

:28:13. > :28:17.flip side, Castleford will be going through a world of pain. I have seen

:28:18. > :28:20.both sides of it. Equally emotional. We will talk about how

:28:21. > :28:24.Castleford pick themselves up from this the rest of the season shortly

:28:25. > :28:28.as their fans say and they applaud their captain and coach and the rest

:28:29. > :28:33.of the team that followed. And we get ready for the new Challenge Cup

:28:34. > :28:39.holders, the Leeds Rhinos, to pick up the trophy. COMMENTATOR: As the

:28:40. > :28:42.Castleford players come through and collect their losers medals, let's

:28:43. > :28:46.not forget the journey they have been on to get here and the journey

:28:47. > :28:49.they are still on, as the guys in the studio are saying. They have

:28:50. > :28:56.still got a big season ahead of them. Very much involved in the top

:28:57. > :29:01.four, the struggle for a place in the top four, they could still beat

:29:02. > :29:06.champions this year. And Leeds could still do the double this year. They

:29:07. > :29:11.have surprised everybody, Blade very good football. And it will look good

:29:12. > :29:14.for the Super League and for next season. And for this group of

:29:15. > :29:19.players, I think that they have said, they have been through it, and

:29:20. > :29:26.on the other side of the fence, losing in the final at Wembley, it

:29:27. > :29:31.is not a nice feeling. And this, you have do savour these moments,

:29:32. > :29:37.because they are very, very special. Very special. Kevin Sinfield has had

:29:38. > :29:47.quite a career, 487th appearance today. 3651 points. You can measure

:29:48. > :29:53.his career in terms of numbers, but you can also now measure his career

:29:54. > :29:57.in terms of success in Grand Finals, and also Challenge Cup

:29:58. > :30:08.finals. He leads his team towards the trophy. Paul Caddick, the

:30:09. > :30:12.chairman of the club, with the embrace the Kevin Sinfield. They

:30:13. > :30:16.will be handing over the trophy in just a second, the winner 's medal

:30:17. > :30:20.hung around his neck. He seemed destined never to stand and lift

:30:21. > :30:24.that trophy, but this is what the good times look and feel like,

:30:25. > :30:33.Leeds, for this generation of players, Wembley memories, finally

:30:34. > :30:40.made of this. Honestly this is a great Leeds side, these youngsters,

:30:41. > :30:45.we have seen them come. Coming into the ranks in the last decades.

:30:46. > :30:56.Brilliant, brilliant site and a brilliant feeling. Special moments.

:30:57. > :31:04.Jamie Peacock, Rob Burrow, lifting a tie, the little man. Jamie Peacock,

:31:05. > :31:10.he has won the trophy a couple of times but not with Leeds, Zak

:31:11. > :31:17.Hardaker, Leuluai, three times a loser with Leeds. Paul Ayton, the

:31:18. > :31:22.first man from Papua New Guinea, celebrating with the trophy,

:31:23. > :31:27.Delaney. Passing a landmark today. No Australian has played in the

:31:28. > :31:34.Challenge Cup final more often than him. Bailey, from the class of 2004.

:31:35. > :31:41.Tom Briscoe, here, as a loser last year with Hull. Joel Moon, he thinks

:31:42. > :31:48.it is always like this. Sutcliffe, 19 years of age, something for the

:31:49. > :31:53.future. Watkins. Kevin Watt Kings, scored a couple of tries at Wembley.

:31:54. > :31:56.Jamie Jones Buchanan, what a real character. One of the real

:31:57. > :32:04.characters in the team, and here comes the coach. Go on, you

:32:05. > :32:11.celebrate. Well, the leads fans love that. Brian McDermott. -- Leeds

:32:12. > :32:17.fans. Writing quite a chapter of his own in the coaching book, Grand

:32:18. > :32:20.Finals of the Challenge Cup. Hanging the medal around his neck, he will

:32:21. > :32:26.be a very proud coach tonight I am sure. He will pay tribute. Shaun

:32:27. > :32:34.Edwards, the most decorated Wembley finalists. Garry Schofield, Leeds

:32:35. > :32:40.legend. He will be enjoying the moment as well. So, Leeds, the

:32:41. > :32:45.winners, and you have to say, on the strength of the first half

:32:46. > :32:49.performance deservedly winners. I thought it was a fantastic first

:32:50. > :32:54.half performance, didn't make any mistakes, did not allow Castleford

:32:55. > :33:00.to play. Closing down Clark, the line speed was good and the kick and

:33:01. > :33:06.chase. Did everything so well. Kicked on in the second half with a

:33:07. > :33:12.phenomenal performance. This has been the best side and nice to see

:33:13. > :33:19.them win the Challenge Cup. A great side. Six times in the 21st-century

:33:20. > :33:26.they have been to a final and lost, today, seventh Heaven. The cup is

:33:27. > :33:28.not leaving the hands of Kevin Sinfield prolonged time, well done,

:33:29. > :33:32.to Leeds, they have finally lifted
