:00:07. > :00:13.Whatever happens today, we have got a too horrific score. This is

:00:14. > :00:23.terrific. -- too What about that pass, and what about

:00:24. > :00:44.that try! Welcome to Headingley, where Leeds

:00:45. > :00:51.play host to Catalan Dragons in the opening weekend of the Super League

:00:52. > :00:55.play-offs. Jo Wilkins is sidelined, how frustrating to be out at this

:00:56. > :01:01.time of year. It is frustrating. I want to be involved in these big

:01:02. > :01:06.games and big occasions. -- Jo Wilkin is sidelined. We have some

:01:07. > :01:10.even bigger fixtures coming. Let's remind ourselves of the standings in

:01:11. > :01:15.the 1st utility Super League table. The end of the 2014 season saw some

:01:16. > :01:20.and predictable results. Saint Helen 's position at the top of the table

:01:21. > :01:23.and then the 1st trophy in 6 years. They had to wait 24 hours to be

:01:24. > :01:28.crowned leaders as Castleford have the chance to take it from them by

:01:29. > :01:31.winning the last fixture in the South of France last Saturday. A

:01:32. > :01:34.poor performance or them squander their 2nd chance this season to put

:01:35. > :01:38.some silverware in the trophy cabinet. Quite some achievement for

:01:39. > :01:42.Saint Helens, what was it like to get your hands on that shield?

:01:43. > :01:49.Fantastic as a player. It's a huge achievement. To win the shield after

:01:50. > :01:53.the season, all of the rounds, to then be the most consistent side, it

:01:54. > :01:57.is really satisfying. Ultimately the next few weeks is about getting to

:01:58. > :02:01.the Grand Final. Although it is nice to win the shield, it isn't the end

:02:02. > :02:04.of the season. Such a close competition, does that reflect how

:02:05. > :02:08.strong it has been, or the fact that nobody wanted to grab it? I always

:02:09. > :02:14.thought it was dying to somebody to get a grip of it. Really get hold of

:02:15. > :02:18.this season, but nobody did. We scraped through. Producing some good

:02:19. > :02:22.performances. But some indifferent performances, as well, and nobody

:02:23. > :02:28.got to grips with it. There was a congested table at the top. Only two

:02:29. > :02:32.points separating the top 6 sides. That takes is beautifully into the

:02:33. > :02:38.play-off season. It has started with a bang and will continue to excite.

:02:39. > :02:43.How do the teams get to Old Trafford, and the Grand Final? After

:02:44. > :02:47.27 rounds, the top 8 clubs entered the play-off series, effectively in

:02:48. > :02:57.qualifying play-offs and elimination play-offs. The winners of the two

:02:58. > :03:12.qualifying play-offs will have a buy.

:03:13. > :03:18.1st up this year, the current champions Wigan, playing host to

:03:19. > :03:22.last year 's league leaders Huddersfield. The Giants went into

:03:23. > :03:26.this on a 7-game unbeaten run. Having beaten Wigan twice already

:03:27. > :03:32.this season. Could they do it again on Thursday night? Here is George

:03:33. > :03:41.Riley. COMMENTATOR: Wigan 's hopes of retaining were given a confidence

:03:42. > :03:45.boost. Josh Charnley opened the scoring midway through the 1st half,

:03:46. > :03:50.and it proved to be the catalyst for Wigan's biggest ever play-off

:03:51. > :03:55.fixture. Scrum-half Matty Smith dummied through for a fine solo

:03:56. > :04:03.effort before he turned provider, setting up substitute Tony Clubb

:04:04. > :04:07.with a delicious short pass. The Warriors raced further clear a

:04:08. > :04:13.minute later. Farrell finishing a move that he started to open up a 20

:04:14. > :04:16.4 -0 lead in the interval, and make a mockery of Huddersfield's 7 match

:04:17. > :04:26.unbeaten run. -- 24-0 lead. The Giants, without their

:04:27. > :04:29.inspirational captain Danny Brough through injury, did threaten a fight

:04:30. > :04:35.back early in the 2nd-half with Leroy Cudjoe following up his own

:04:36. > :04:40.kick to score a speculative try. It did prove to be a false storm.

:04:41. > :04:44.Wigan, who went into the match off the back of two successive home

:04:45. > :04:50.victories over Warrington and Leeds, was soon back in control with Joel

:04:51. > :04:53.Tomkins sliding over for his 1st try since returning from rugby union.

:04:54. > :05:00.Much to the delight of the younger brother Sam, a star in the NRL. And

:05:01. > :05:05.things got even better for the Warriors with Joe Burgess and Dan

:05:06. > :05:09.Sarginson combining down the left-hand side to score the home

:05:10. > :05:16.side's 6 try of the evening. The Giants's defends incomplete

:05:17. > :05:21.disarray. -- defence. Huddersfield have only won 3 play-off games. They

:05:22. > :05:26.were then hit by this 70 metre try created by Eddy Pettybourne. Burgess

:05:27. > :05:30.then heavily involved once more with Aussie star Matt Bowen in support to

:05:31. > :05:38.finish it off and take Wigan over the 40 point barrier. He then

:05:39. > :05:43.displayed his own handling skills with a fine flick pass to send Josh

:05:44. > :05:48.Charnley over for his 2nd try of the night. And the humiliation wasn't

:05:49. > :05:53.yet complete. Skipper Sean O'Loughlin joined the party when he

:05:54. > :05:59.juggled Blake Green's pass before the Warriors put the icing on the

:06:00. > :06:02.cake with the try of the night. Burgess collected Luke Robinson's

:06:03. > :06:07.kick on his own try line before the 19 -year-old outpaced legally Jo Ann

:06:08. > :06:17.Scott Grix to raise the full length of the field and touch down for his

:06:18. > :06:27.9th successive match. -- legally -- Lee Cudjoe and Scott Grix. Shaun

:06:28. > :06:36.Wane's side only 80 minutes away from another Grand Final. -- 18

:06:37. > :06:43.that was a ruthless display, wasn't it? Every facet of the game they

:06:44. > :06:46.dominated. There wasn't 1 area of the game where you thought

:06:47. > :06:51.Huddersfield had the better of it. In the terms of the kicking game,

:06:52. > :06:56.the physical aspects, the contact, the Rasel, controlling the speed,

:06:57. > :07:07.and some fantastic tries. -- hustle. The other sides would have

:07:08. > :07:13.sit -- sat up and taking notice. It is about raising your standards.

:07:14. > :07:15.Wigan seem to have done that. As the Huddersfield, the coach said it was

:07:16. > :07:20.embarrassing and his side got emotional, what does he mean by

:07:21. > :07:23.that? When you get emotional you do things you don't normally do. His

:07:24. > :07:28.side were erratic, unpredictable in how they played. I didn't associate

:07:29. > :07:33.that with emotion, is associated that with a lack of concentration.

:07:34. > :07:38.The actual physical preparation for the game, or the aggression, it was

:07:39. > :07:42.down. Who knows what you would should be back to. I'm sure they

:07:43. > :07:46.will be revved up to achieve something better in the next round.

:07:47. > :07:51.Next, it was the league leaders Saint Helens against 4th placed

:07:52. > :07:54.Castleford. Castleford have been the surprise package this season, but

:07:55. > :07:58.lost the Challenge Cup final to rivals Leeds last month. They

:07:59. > :08:02.bounced back in the league with two consecutive victories. They knew

:08:03. > :08:07.that a victory against Castleford would hand them the league leaders

:08:08. > :08:12.shield. The Castleford Tigers have lost their lines. Another mischance

:08:13. > :08:18.and it meant a play-off against top of the league Saint Helens. There

:08:19. > :08:26.was a chance to make amends. COMMENTATOR: Tonight, the league

:08:27. > :08:29.leaders winners and the side who nearly pipped them to the prize.

:08:30. > :08:35.Castleford have been the unheralded success story this season. How far

:08:36. > :08:39.into the play-offs does that story continue to run? Saint Helens have

:08:40. > :08:49.had their injury problems. They know how to cope with the players like

:08:50. > :08:54.Jonny Lomax and Wilkin and Walsh. Alex Walmsley is also suspended

:08:55. > :08:58.tonight. Richards comes in for him. It is a reflection of the injury

:08:59. > :09:04.problems that sets the row forward. Flanagan is named as scrum-half.

:09:05. > :09:10.Ellis comes into the Castleford side. Milner start at hooker with

:09:11. > :09:18.the Dream Team selection Daryl Clark starting on the bench. Saint Helens

:09:19. > :09:24.for the head and feet in a very threatening position. Here comes

:09:25. > :09:31.Luke Thompson. Luke Thompson with a 1st effort. James Roby. Dummy half.

:09:32. > :09:39.The pass was read well by charlatan who got into the face of land

:09:40. > :09:43.WHISTLE The referee takes a good long look

:09:44. > :09:51.at that and points the finger. Saint Helens have the try. You cannot give

:09:52. > :09:56.that amount of space. Shenton working hard. He dives through. How

:09:57. > :10:02.many times have we seen him do that? Great try from James Roby. The

:10:03. > :10:09.stakes are so high here tonight. Percival. Saint Helens have owned

:10:10. > :10:20.this position with the defence. Now a chance to launch a -- an attack.

:10:21. > :10:26.James Roby. Turner. Just forced the pass. He did well to hang on in the

:10:27. > :10:32.end. Looking pretty close. James Roby, who has scored 1 tonight, he

:10:33. > :10:35.might have a 2nd... He has got a 2nd! WHISTLE

:10:36. > :10:40.He's been the best dummy half for quite some time now. And twice now,

:10:41. > :10:44.He's been the best dummy half for on this night, he has scored a try.

:10:45. > :10:51.A quick play-the-ball. You see him run from dummy half. And he is. Any

:10:52. > :10:54.quick ball he gets from the commie gets on it and jumped on the inside.

:10:55. > :11:06.You cannot give him too much space, he is good. -- from there, he gets

:11:07. > :11:13.on it. Soliola might have a chance to play around here, just a -- to

:11:14. > :11:19.test the resolve of the Castleford defence. Another would be massive in

:11:20. > :11:24.the context of the game. Wellens. It will go back for a drop goal attempt

:11:25. > :11:30.from Turner. He might have got it, I think... Yes, he has. 1.4 Jordan

:11:31. > :11:35.Turner which gives Saint Helens a 3 score lead at half-time. That might

:11:36. > :11:46.be crucial at the end of the night. -- a 1 point 4 Jordan Turner. I

:11:47. > :11:53.think they need to take some risks tonight. -- for Jordan Turner. James

:11:54. > :11:58.Roby. Back to James Roby. Over to Jordan Turner. What a pace here.

:11:59. > :12:01.What a dry the Saint Helens. A bit of an interchange down the middle.

:12:02. > :12:07.WHISTLE And then sheer pace from Jordan

:12:08. > :12:11.Turner. Making the night just a little more comfortable for Saint

:12:12. > :12:16.Helens. Early in the 2nd half. This is the runaround. Soliola. Back to

:12:17. > :12:20.James Roby. He finds Jordan Turner at the back door and off he goes.

:12:21. > :12:26.They don't get anywhere near him until he is over the line. That is

:12:27. > :12:32.terrific pace from Jordan Turner. Soliola, James Roby, and then Jordan

:12:33. > :12:41.Turner. "Catch me if you can. " They have no chance, he slams it on the

:12:42. > :12:46.line. With a slicing high kick. Wellens has a touch on it. It is

:12:47. > :12:54.back to 1. Castleford inside the 25. Is this the break they needed?

:12:55. > :13:01.Here is Clark at dummy half. Quick hands. Channing steps in on the

:13:02. > :13:06.inside and he finds a way through. The ball has gone to ground. He

:13:07. > :13:12.hasn't managed to touch it down. It wasn't on. And it is opportunity

:13:13. > :13:16.spurned. He did all of the hard work. Gets onto his legs, and he has

:13:17. > :13:21.lost it. Desperately trying to get the ball down. Fantastic effort from

:13:22. > :13:24.James Roby. Scores the 1st two tries, and bottles the life out of

:13:25. > :13:29.Channing. They needed that, Castleford. What have they got up

:13:30. > :13:33.their sleeves? It has Castleford. What have they got up

:13:34. > :13:36.ground. Picked up by Adam Smith. This might be the moment Saint

:13:37. > :13:41.Helens seal it. Castleford desperately looking 1-way, they are

:13:42. > :13:47.now forced to look over their shoulders as Saint Helens begin to

:13:48. > :13:54.disappear out of sight. Adam Smith's tries. Liam Finn misses.

:13:55. > :13:59.Adam Smith picks his pocket, picks the ball off the floor, and again it

:14:00. > :14:02.is all about the foot race. There is no Castleford shirt in the frame. He

:14:03. > :14:10.isn't going to be caught from there. To render -- tremendous effort from

:14:11. > :14:17.Milner. Picks his pocket right here. Smith is in the defensive line. He

:14:18. > :14:24.has gone. Great finish. You will not score an easy 1. They have had a

:14:25. > :14:30.season to enjoy. Top four finish. Very nearly got the league leaders

:14:31. > :14:38.shield. Tonight they are informed. Saint Helens beginning to sparkle

:14:39. > :14:40.again. Just when it matters the most common in these play-offs.

:14:41. > :14:47.McCarthy-Scarsbrook is taking them close. -- the most, in these

:14:48. > :14:55.play-offs. Might there be a question of a penalty try here? Saint

:14:56. > :15:01.Helens's chaser was dragged down. They have to be sure he was going to

:15:02. > :15:08.school if they are going to give a penalty try. It has at least got to

:15:09. > :15:18.be a penalty. -- going to score. It is a penalty try for me. Would he

:15:19. > :15:24.have got there? I think so. Here we go. The decision. No try. Well, we

:15:25. > :15:32.know that. But is it a penalty try? No, it is just a penalty. It is just

:15:33. > :15:36.a penalty. And he is heading off, Michael Shenton, for 10 minutes in

:15:37. > :15:42.the sin-bin for the professional foul. Yellow card shown. Only 17

:15:43. > :15:46.minutes of the game remaining. If Castleford had a chance, slender as

:15:47. > :15:52.it was, I think it has just gone. Castleford short on personnel. Saint

:15:53. > :16:01.Helen 's full of vigour and expectation, and Nathanson will

:16:02. > :16:04.score in the corner. 26 Super League tries. Michael Shenton can only for

:16:05. > :16:09.normally look on. A full food will have another chance next week. They

:16:10. > :16:18.have taken the chance tonight, Saint Helens. -- Castleford will have

:16:19. > :16:24.another chance next week. Extra hands. Beaten them. Releases

:16:25. > :16:33.personal -- Percival in the corner. Great hands. Saint Helens

:16:34. > :16:45.frantically trying to get themselves onto the scoreboard again. Amor

:16:46. > :16:53.Wrestling a couple of defenders. He has got it down. He has never got

:16:54. > :16:56.that down! He has got it down. I have beaten you, beating you, too

:16:57. > :17:05.strong for you, gets it down the line. -- beaten you. And that is all

:17:06. > :17:13.it takes. Strong stuff. Michael Shenton back on the field. He has

:17:14. > :17:19.spent 10 minutes on -- in the sin-bin. It is a lost cause. Saint

:17:20. > :17:24.Helen 's winning by a landslide. Percival still asking questions of

:17:25. > :17:36.those Castleford defenders. -- St Helens. Just about kept hold of it,

:17:37. > :17:43.I think. Turned over the short 1. Trying to do what Kyle Abell did,

:17:44. > :17:48.has he repeated it? I don't think so. They are having a look, but I

:17:49. > :17:56.think he thinks it is a ball held up. Is that what he said? That is

:17:57. > :18:03.what he suggested. Of course he did. Is it over the line? It has touched

:18:04. > :18:07.the line. The video referee is asking the referee if he thought it

:18:08. > :18:11.was over the line. The answer was in the affirmative. I think they might

:18:12. > :18:18.give this. Here comes the decision. CHEERING

:18:19. > :18:26.His name goes up in the lights at Langtry. He takes 3 shirt over,

:18:27. > :18:30.four, 5, sticks his backside into the Castleford defence, gets the

:18:31. > :18:36.ball down. And it is a great try. Congratulations, that was a great

:18:37. > :18:39.team performance. As you said, team performance tonight. Always nice to

:18:40. > :18:47.get a score like that. Castleford were quality. What do you think was

:18:48. > :18:52.missing from your side tonight, or wear Saint Helens to good? It was

:18:53. > :18:58.tight in the 1st half. -- were. We were lacking something. We were just

:18:59. > :19:02.not quite good enough. The whole effort tonight, you just suffocated

:19:03. > :19:06.them at times, didn't you? We did a great job. To be fair to some of the

:19:07. > :19:14.boys, I thought the 1st 30 minutes of the game was really good. --

:19:15. > :19:17.their boys. They will go back to the Jungle, they like playing on the

:19:18. > :19:24.home field. Whoever they meet will be a big side, but I would not write

:19:25. > :19:27.them off at the moment. We might be given another shot at it. But

:19:28. > :19:30.another performance like that clearly isn't going to be good

:19:31. > :19:39.enough. I will be asking the boys to respond. It felt like you were

:19:40. > :19:46.playing with a real marker. I think -- we have won by what we have won

:19:47. > :19:52.by. We will pick a side who is going to be tipped to beat us. We have a

:19:53. > :19:55.good week of training ahead. We will find out who we will play. And

:19:56. > :20:00.hopefully we can put out another performance like that tonight. So

:20:01. > :20:04.many people have written them off this season, how much is that

:20:05. > :20:08.driving them forward? Other years I would have said it wouldn't have,

:20:09. > :20:15.but this year it has. I count myself in that. The fans have been

:20:16. > :20:19.critical, so have broadcasters, about us coming into the play-offs.

:20:20. > :20:25.That adds fuel to the fire. It will see us kick on and produce more

:20:26. > :20:30.great performances like that. How pleased were you with the defence?

:20:31. > :20:35.It was unbelievable. The defence was 1 of the key point in the game. On

:20:36. > :20:38.the back of that we scored some great tries. I want to mention

:20:39. > :20:44.Turner, as well, I thought he had a great game, he controlled everything

:20:45. > :20:49.for us. As the Castleford, the coach has said his players are tired. They

:20:50. > :20:54.looked tired in the 2nd half, how does he get them back up, where do

:20:55. > :20:57.you get energy levels from? It is difficult to find confidence from

:20:58. > :21:03.somewhere at this stage. You are right, they need something on and it

:21:04. > :21:07.has got to start next week. Those teams had a 2nd chance. Not for the

:21:08. > :21:11.next two matches we are on to the elimination play-offs. 1st up, it

:21:12. > :21:14.was Warrington at home to Widnes Vikings. With this are in the

:21:15. > :21:19.play-offs for the 1st time since their reintroduction to Super League

:21:20. > :21:23.in 2012. A season which saw the coach take them to a Challenge Cup

:21:24. > :21:28.semifinal -- their approach. They will be hoping to repeat the July

:21:29. > :21:34.victory. Warrington's defeat by Wigan saw them miss out on by a

:21:35. > :21:38.single point. They were without Ben Westwood and Simon Grix. But they

:21:39. > :21:41.will be looking to go 1 better than last year when they finished as

:21:42. > :21:48.Super League runners up. COMMENTATOR: No 2nd chances. Nowhere

:21:49. > :21:54.to hide for Warrington and Widnes Vikings. Recent Grand Final regulars

:21:55. > :21:57.against play-off debutants. 1 team's season finishes and a

:21:58. > :22:02.definite derby day atmosphere. Warrington are without Ben Westwood

:22:03. > :22:11.and Simon Grix, who suffered that horrible broken ankle. Ryan Atkins

:22:12. > :22:18.returns. Michael Monaghan will come off the bench for his last the --

:22:19. > :22:26.last performance at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

:22:27. > :22:37.Brown, what a season he has had. Into the line. Atkins wrapped him up

:22:38. > :22:49.quickly. Dotball to go. A little dab through. This is an opportunity on

:22:50. > :22:57.the far side. This is close. Wow. Threaded the needle, hasn't it? It

:22:58. > :23:02.is very close, isn't it? Very close. The try is given. CHEERING

:23:03. > :23:08.Paddy Flynn has given the Widnes Vikings a dream start here at

:23:09. > :23:12.Warrington. It is all down to Brown's touch. But Paddy Flynn still

:23:13. > :23:18.has to fly in there, get his hands on the ball, and he knocked it. The

:23:19. > :23:25.try scoring chance now. There it is. Paddy Flynn gets it. They are off to

:23:26. > :23:32.a good start. Brown. Little of load in front. Tickle. He goes into a sea

:23:33. > :23:35.of Warrington Wolves. Right in front. Decent position on the last

:23:36. > :23:41.for Clark to set things up. Played it up beautifully. It is another

:23:42. > :23:54.appeal for Paddy Flynn on the far side. K -- Cahill thinks he has got

:23:55. > :23:59.number two. Great kick from Brown. It sat up. Warrington Wolves had to

:24:00. > :24:06.deal with it, and has he dealt with it? That is a try. Here we go, they

:24:07. > :24:10.are taking a long look at this... CHEERING

:24:11. > :24:17.The try has been awarded. Two tries for Paddy Flynn. Widnes Vikings are

:24:18. > :24:22.all over Warrington early. Great kick from Brown. Different type of

:24:23. > :24:27.kick. Stops in the in goal because he chipped it a little bit. A

:24:28. > :24:36.sideways little thing on the side of his boot. Gave him every chance.

:24:37. > :24:40.This is a good game. It is a terrific game of rugby league, just

:24:41. > :24:45.what the players require. And they take it up to the line. Kevin Brown,

:24:46. > :24:51.those white and orange boots. Now then, opportunity. He goes inside.

:24:52. > :25:00.He has got to go on his own. What a score for Rhys Hanbury. He will look

:25:01. > :25:06.upstairs for the video referee. What a moment this could be for the

:25:07. > :25:12.Widnes Vikings. I think he has asked to look at an obstruction here in

:25:13. > :25:16.the back row. Broken 1 tackle. Russell is 1-on-1 with Rhys

:25:17. > :25:26.Hanbury. He breaks the tackle and keeps going. It is the initial

:25:27. > :25:30.contact with Bridge. I think this is going to be a try. CHEERING

:25:31. > :25:38.Try awarded, and what a huge moment in this game. The twinkle toes step

:25:39. > :25:44.of Rhys Hanbury. He just keeps going. Brown releases him. Bridge

:25:45. > :25:51.breaks 1 tackle. Breaks two. Great finish. Doesn't need the support.

:25:52. > :26:03.Warrington being torn apart by Widnes Vikings. Ratchford. Back to

:26:04. > :26:07.miler. Chris Bridge. Monaghan pixel motion

:26:08. > :26:18.-- Monaghan! How they needed that. Their top try scorer comes up trumps

:26:19. > :26:23.again just when they needed it most. Monaghan, Ratchford, O'Brien, miler,

:26:24. > :26:27.beats the defenders. Releases Chris Bridge and Monaghan in the corner.

:26:28. > :26:31.-- Richie Myler. A little bit of fluidity. He will be looking for

:26:32. > :26:36.quick hands, quick ball. Great ball from Richie Myler who has fallen

:26:37. > :26:42.down. And he just has to tip it over to Joel Monaghan. 5 in his last 3

:26:43. > :26:48.for Joel Monaghan. A double in each of his last two fixtures. At least

:26:49. > :26:59.another double here. Brown has gone for the 1 point. Kevin Brown! Quick

:27:00. > :27:12.thinking. That will prove a big 1. I am laughing, he is thinking, job is

:27:13. > :27:25.a good and, not a bad idea. -- job's a good'un. Tickle and

:27:26. > :27:34.a good and, not a bad idea. -- job's flowed from Monaghan! For the 3rd

:27:35. > :27:42.game in a row, he has scored two tries. He has gone to the video

:27:43. > :27:50.screen. -- flow from Monaghan. I think they are looking for an

:27:51. > :27:54.obstruction. There is nothing there. A fantastic try scoring record from

:27:55. > :28:05.Joel Monaghan. Breathing life into the push. -- their push. He gives

:28:06. > :28:11.themselves too much to do. Joel Monaghan, great finish from him.

:28:12. > :28:21.Nice ball. Richie Myler back to Chris Bridge with a great ball.

:28:22. > :28:31.Brian Wilber aerial once again. -- will go. There will... That has been

:28:32. > :28:36.a mess up. That could be a massive moment in this context. Got him on

:28:37. > :28:43.the chest. Straight through his hands. The scoreboard remains on the

:28:44. > :28:50.Vikings's side. It is all coming from the home side, who get another

:28:51. > :29:04.shot at penalty. -- at penalty given away. He has had a good start to the

:29:05. > :29:08.2nd half, hasn't he? A big dried for the big fellow. What can Monaghan

:29:09. > :29:14.set up the Richie Myler? -- drive. It is going to be another score.

:29:15. > :29:21.Rhys Evans, this time, put it down. They are right back in the contest,

:29:22. > :29:27.right back in the play-off books. Shifted it again. Atkins, straight

:29:28. > :29:32.to Rhys Evans for a finish in the corner. Great hands Joel Monaghan.

:29:33. > :29:38.Richie Myler. O'Brien at other end of the pitch, and plenty of feeding

:29:39. > :29:44.for both teams at the end of the pitch today. These games have

:29:45. > :29:52.momentum swings. He just lost the ball. All of those little mistakes,

:29:53. > :29:59.the turnovers, the handovers that go wrong. Everything is going the way

:30:00. > :30:04.of Warrington. That was a mess. It has gone backwards. The end result

:30:05. > :30:08.is the same, possession for Warrington.

:30:09. > :30:21.That was a blast from the past. Here he go, can he get the ball away to

:30:22. > :30:26.Monaghan? He can! Hat-trick for Joel Monaghan.

:30:27. > :30:31.Super League's most prolific try scorer, has come up with potentially

:30:32. > :30:37.his most crucial try of the season. The hat-trick score, for the first

:30:38. > :30:43.time gives Warrington the lead. Great off load. Bridge stands Phelps

:30:44. > :30:49.up and gets rid of Ah Van, he tracks Hanbury. Well played Chris Bridge.

:30:50. > :30:52.Beats Ah Van. It was a poor effort and Joel Monaghan finishes those

:30:53. > :30:58.easier than he finished the other one.

:30:59. > :31:04.Last tackle to Browne. High again. Sliced off the outside of the right

:31:05. > :31:11.boot. An error! A big error from Matty Russell. He has hurt imts as

:31:12. > :31:16.well. It was a ricochet of players. -- himself. Think he has knocked him

:31:17. > :31:19.clean out. And then the head on to the ground as well. That is

:31:20. > :31:26.horrible. Matty Russell knocked out cold. Receiving oxygen. The

:31:27. > :31:30.Warrington players and staff there asking the referee to make sure he

:31:31. > :31:38.puts the incident on report. They are up happy, Warrington, here we

:31:39. > :31:44.see it again, the knock on is clear. Is it a shoulder charge? Is it? Good

:31:45. > :31:49.question. A ten minute delay during which time the medical staff have

:31:50. > :31:54.taken every precaution to stabilise Matty Russell. He has received

:31:55. > :31:59.oxygen and leaves the field in a neck brace, strapped on to the

:32:00. > :32:05.stretcher. He leaves the field with everyone's best wishes, we hope he

:32:06. > :32:12.is OK. Can they finish the job this time?

:32:13. > :32:17.Hanbury has given it away. And Monaghan will set off. Has Monaghan

:32:18. > :32:21.got the toes? Hanbury is after him. What a tackle! What a brilliant

:32:22. > :32:27.saving tackle. Brilliant saving tackle. Play on, what are you doing?

:32:28. > :32:31.If you like your rugby league end to end, enjoy that last segment of

:32:32. > :32:38.play. Great tackle from Hanbury. Came one a poor pass in the first

:32:39. > :32:42.place, and totally redeemed himself with the tackle. Wow. Joel what a

:32:43. > :32:47.game, how much did you enjoy play in that? . Yes, it was a, a good second

:32:48. > :32:52.half, the first half we struggled. To their credit they played well.

:32:53. > :32:56.They are a good side, and to our credit we come back, we fought back

:32:57. > :33:03.and regained the lead and held on. So, in front of a home crowd, it was

:33:04. > :33:07.a good last game for the boys. I I thought Widnes put on smart plays

:33:08. > :33:12.and they executed it well. We weren't shocked by it, but we just

:33:13. > :33:16.didn't answer it, and second half I thought we built the game. We built

:33:17. > :33:22.the momentum in that second half. It started within the first couple of

:33:23. > :33:26.minutes in the second half, you could feel the momentum switch. It

:33:27. > :33:30.is one that got away from us. We felt we started well enough to get

:33:31. > :33:34.the win, and we feel we should be moving forward from this, but really

:33:35. > :33:39.strong Warrington side came out, and showed that it is not the first five

:33:40. > :33:43.minutes, it is the second five minutes. We couldn't get far enough

:33:44. > :33:47.away from them to prevent us getting us in the end. The Matty Russell

:33:48. > :33:51.didn't look good for him, what you tell us? They have taken him to the

:33:52. > :34:01.right place, he is in the balance on his way to hospital, straight away,

:34:02. > :34:04.and apparently, he had a fair concussion, and he's going to lose a

:34:05. > :34:11.couple of teeth and his nose is broken. It is not a great position

:34:12. > :34:15.for Matty to be in. There was a lot of concern about him. We have lots

:34:16. > :34:19.of positives this year, as a group we will stay strong, we are not

:34:20. > :34:23.making wholesale change, we are not changing things massively. Using

:34:24. > :34:27.this as a way of learning is going to be something we will speak about

:34:28. > :34:32.in the next few weeks. John that was your game of two halve, wasn't it?

:34:33. > :34:36.Yes, Widnes started so strong, fantastic start for them. I think

:34:37. > :34:41.when they got the early try, really everybody in the game stood back,

:34:42. > :34:44.took notice and thought they were going to do something special, but

:34:45. > :34:49.Warrington are a quality side and the reason they are is the way they

:34:50. > :34:52.ground their way back thine game. Really slowly, gradually, built

:34:53. > :34:59.momentum and ended up coming home with the goods. That is why they are

:35:00. > :35:03.a great side. Kevin Brown's kicking game was key, wasn't it? Yes,

:35:04. > :35:09.everything good that Widnes have done this year usually revolves

:35:10. > :35:10.round him. He is a great player, organises well, creates

:35:11. > :35:15.opportunities for his team-mates. That is what he did in the first

:35:16. > :35:17.half N the second half he was stifled by the Warrington defence

:35:18. > :35:22.which was the real difference for me, how they defended in that half.

:35:23. > :35:28.Will Tony Smith be worried about how they defended in the first half?

:35:29. > :35:33.Potentially he will. You can't start poorly, with all due respect to

:35:34. > :35:37.Widnes, I thought a side like Leeds or St Helen, we would have scored a

:35:38. > :35:41.tumour point against them and made it really difficult for them. But

:35:42. > :35:45.Warrington did really well, and will have got a lot of confidence about

:35:46. > :35:50.how they came back into that game. They could do with Ben Westwood back

:35:51. > :35:55.to shore things up. Ben is more than the fiscal things what we bring, he

:35:56. > :35:58.brings leadership and action and physicality and what you need to be

:35:59. > :36:02.a good rugby league player. Without Ben in the team, they lack that

:36:03. > :36:05.somewhat, but when he is not there, other players have to learn to take

:36:06. > :36:10.up that slack, and that is what Warrington have to do. They did that

:36:11. > :36:14.in the second half. It is fair to say, you know, obviously sad to see

:36:15. > :36:19.Matty Russell take a bad knock and everyone is hoping he is OK. He has

:36:20. > :36:27.been such a fantastic player this year. Sad the see him go down.

:36:28. > :36:29.Before we look ahead to Leeds against Catalan, the 2014 Super

:36:30. > :36:35.League dream team was announced this week.

:36:36. > :36:40.The Al English dream team features eight debutantes as well as Jamie

:36:41. > :36:44.Peacock who makes a record extending tenth an appearance, having made his

:36:45. > :36:48.Deb glue 2000. For the their time, the form team of the season sees

:36:49. > :36:52.seven or more different clubs represented.

:36:53. > :36:59.Wigan Warriors captain makes his fifth dream team appearance in a row

:37:00. > :37:04.while Kevin Brown registering his and the club's first appearance.

:37:05. > :37:08.Ryan Hall is including for his fourth selection and joins

:37:09. > :37:13.debutantes Carl Ablett. Zak Hardaker and peacock in the team to make the

:37:14. > :37:17.Rhinos the most represented club. What did you Mick of the dream team

:37:18. > :37:22.this year? Everybody in the cream team has had fantastic season, goes

:37:23. > :37:28.without saying, I think some real stand out players in there. Jamie

:37:29. > :37:32.Peacock, a huge effort. Everybody in the game respects him for what he

:37:33. > :37:36.has manage cod over this period of time in the game. Other people

:37:37. > :37:41.Elliott Whitehead from Catalan, he is a tant stick player. He scored

:37:42. > :37:47.some great tries and an exciter back rower to watch. From my side Tommy.

:37:48. > :37:50.Pleased to see him many there. In terms of finishing ability there is

:37:51. > :37:56.no-one better. He deserved his place. I am pleased to see him in.

:37:57. > :37:59.Looking ahead to this game, we have the teams warping up. Elliott

:38:00. > :38:07.Whitehead will be key for Catalan, he has come up with important tries

:38:08. > :38:10.for them. Yes, it is normally Michael Oldfield on the left hand

:38:11. > :38:16.side or attacking edge for Catalan, that I score a lot of points. The

:38:17. > :38:25.other one who has come up with so many tries is Ben Morgan. Yes, the

:38:26. > :38:29.try -- Morgan Escare. That is why this game tonight is interesting,

:38:30. > :38:34.because we have Leeds, we have a very miserly defence and Catalan who

:38:35. > :38:39.are free flowing and score points. It interesting to see who comes out

:38:40. > :38:43.on top. Leeds are not in form. How much do you think the Challenge Cup

:38:44. > :38:46.win could cost them? They looked tired coming into the play-offs.

:38:47. > :38:52.From personal experience that means nothing. You know, we are two games

:38:53. > :38:55.away from the Grand Final. Three big games left this year and Leeds are

:38:56. > :38:59.capable of winning all the games left in this season. They can do

:39:00. > :39:04.that, from a standing start. They don't need good form. That is a

:39:05. > :39:08.fact. And that is the value of the players of Sinfield, Maguire and

:39:09. > :39:12.Burrow. They are experienced, they allow Leeds to adapt to different

:39:13. > :39:16.situations and win big games. That is why they continually win big

:39:17. > :39:20.games and I think everybody is opt exciting to see how Leeds get on and

:39:21. > :39:24.see how everybody else in the play-off really picks up the next

:39:25. > :39:27.few weeks. And Catalan haven't travelled particularly well in the

:39:28. > :39:30.past, but they did win when they were back on these shores last time.

:39:31. > :39:35.How much confidence will that have given them? I think the two

:39:36. > :39:40.different sides. At home, a very difficult side to play against. Away

:39:41. > :39:44.from home, massively different they will acknowledge their away form has

:39:45. > :39:49.been terrible, this year, in fact. They are a top four side at home and

:39:50. > :39:52.a side that would finish out of the play-offs away from home. So to do

:39:53. > :39:56.well, that have to play away from home to get to the grand final. So

:39:57. > :40:02.they have got to buck the trend for what has been, you know, the sort of

:40:03. > :40:06.the flow of their season, they have struggle and spluttered and not got

:40:07. > :40:10.going away from home. They need to get a few consistent results in the

:40:11. > :40:15.next few week. For our final game John is going to head up to the

:40:16. > :40:20.commentary box where he will be alongside Dave Woods. Collapse have

:40:21. > :40:24.never won at Headingley in nine previous attempt, but back in June

:40:25. > :40:27.they came within a whisker of rewriting that record and they come

:40:28. > :40:32.here in form and with confidence. -- Catalan. Leeds come into the

:40:33. > :40:35.play-offs on the back of five league defeats in a row, they have reached

:40:36. > :40:45.Grand Finals from fifth, they would have to do it from sixth this year.

:40:46. > :40:50.Leeds have Joel Moon back. Rob Burrows starts for the first time

:40:51. > :40:55.since the Challenge Cup final. Catalan feature a couple of the most

:40:56. > :41:01.eye-catching players of the year. Morgan Escare has scored 27 Troyes

:41:02. > :41:10.this term and Elliott Whitehead is the highest scoring forward.

:41:11. > :41:17.Phil Bentham is the referee today. Leuluai. With his not inconsiderable

:41:18. > :41:25.weight. Burrow at dummy half. Jones-Buchanan is out there on the

:41:26. > :41:29.right. .s Leeds just beginning to build here.

:41:30. > :41:34.Second set for Catalan to defend. Maguire. Sinfield is let on his

:41:35. > :41:39.back, in back play and Joel Moon has knocked on. But the referee might

:41:40. > :41:45.take it back. The touch judge is on as well. Having seen something late

:41:46. > :41:50.on Kevin Sinfield. That is late on him lads. A late

:41:51. > :41:54.tackle As a ball player you are not expecting to be hit to be fair.

:41:55. > :41:58.Kevin ruled that challenge well. It has given his side a penalty.

:41:59. > :42:04.Excellent position and a third set of six to have a go at this Catalan

:42:05. > :42:07.defence. Peacock. They have dominated possession without having

:42:08. > :42:12.a score to their name, but they have just put that right. Carl Ablett,

:42:13. > :42:17.through that stretched Catalan defence, it was coming. The sheer

:42:18. > :42:22.weight of pressure, and Leeds have the opening score.

:42:23. > :42:27.Late challenge on Kevin Sinfield resulted in some possession, Leeds

:42:28. > :42:31.finally managed to make it count. Great work from Carl Ablett and a

:42:32. > :42:37.try. Great start for Leeds. This is

:42:38. > :42:46.Whitehead. He waits patiently. Bosc again. Achurch. Catalan just

:42:47. > :42:49.building a little pressure inside their opponent's half and Moon has

:42:50. > :42:54.the support and it is going to be a finish. It is going to be a finish

:42:55. > :42:59.from Williams. Catalan finally have worked their

:43:00. > :43:04.way through this Leeds defence. And they have their response. Sam

:43:05. > :43:08.Williams the scorer. Well deserved try from Catalan, Moon

:43:09. > :43:12.with the break. Support from Sam Williams who has been a real asset

:43:13. > :43:16.for this cat lap team. Great try. Created by aggression in the Leeds

:43:17. > :43:21.defensive line from Jamie Jones-Buchanan. Williams like all

:43:22. > :43:28.good halfbacks do, supporting and putting the ball down.

:43:29. > :43:33.Catalan's away form has been terrible this year. They have lost

:43:34. > :43:38.11 games. They have come close to big scalps. Here they were only

:43:39. > :43:44.beaten by a late score. Sinfield with a kick. Again Duport bowling

:43:45. > :43:50.him over. It is taken by Oldfield. And no action taken. Not in the

:43:51. > :43:54.first instance but now the touch judge is on again here. Kevin

:43:55. > :44:00.Sinfield is in the wars here. Kevin hit late. As he kicks the ball.

:44:01. > :44:05.Duport hits him below the knee. After he has kicked the ball and

:44:06. > :44:07.that is dangerous. That is a dangerous challenge from Duport.

:44:08. > :44:12.Sinfield certainly felt it. And of course they have to give the penalty

:44:13. > :44:18.where the ball finishes, and that is right in front of the sticks. Well,

:44:19. > :44:24.Leeds have decided to kick for goal but Kevin Sinfield still a little

:44:25. > :44:29.none plussed after that challenge from Duport. So Zak Hardaker sticks

:44:30. > :44:38.it over and Leeds reestablish their lead. Eight points to six.

:44:39. > :44:45.With half-time looming. Here comes Ablett.

:44:46. > :45:00.Ablett. Peacock has left the ball on the

:45:01. > :45:06.floor. Peacock running on to the ball at speed. Jamie Peacock would

:45:07. > :45:11.be expect to take that. Thomas Bosc is recovered to feed the

:45:12. > :45:14.ball into the scrum. It is a very decent position that Catalan find

:45:15. > :45:20.themes in. But Escare has thrown it away, literally. Watkins kicks it

:45:21. > :45:23.on, the chase is on, Duport is back there, Watkins will pick it up and

:45:24. > :45:28.score. If it is given it's a gift.

:45:29. > :45:32.But it has to be given. Because the referee has offered it up to the

:45:33. > :45:37.video ref here to have a look at this, to decide whether it is a try

:45:38. > :45:43.or not. Escare carried the ball. Lost it with no pressure on him.

:45:44. > :45:47.Hacked forward by Briscoe, accidentally. A special piece of

:45:48. > :45:51.play here, you feel from a special player for Leeds.

:45:52. > :45:57.Speed, strength, awareness, he is not in touch and it doesn't look

:45:58. > :46:01.like he is, an exceptional pack forward from Watkins.

:46:02. > :46:06.I feel he is one of the best centres in the world, this is one of the

:46:07. > :46:12.reasons why. Try is given! A gift for Leeds, at

:46:13. > :46:20.the end of that first half. And they are going to go in at half-time, in

:46:21. > :46:25.very good condition. Pelissier. Henderson, this is Bosc,

:46:26. > :46:30.they have got some numbers here and suddenly a chance to fly through.

:46:31. > :46:34.Pomeroy has thrown it away. The slip by Moon, otherwise Leeds would have

:46:35. > :46:37.had the ball back again. Catalan still have an opportunity here,

:46:38. > :46:41.Williams sees a bit of a gap in which to run. But he is going to be

:46:42. > :46:46.dragged down. Here comes the last. This is Bosc. He will put the kick

:46:47. > :46:52.high. Duport is going the lead the chase. Has he got it in? Well the

:46:53. > :46:58.referee is going to have a look at this. Zeb Taia is convince head has

:46:59. > :47:03.the try here. But what does the video referee say? Great kick from

:47:04. > :47:08.Thomas Bosc. Pressure coming from the Leeds defence, but not enough.

:47:09. > :47:14.Zeb Taia is such a big man, runs inside, Kallum Watkins. Ablett

:47:15. > :47:21.trying to find some space. Duport jumps with him. Briscoe does his

:47:22. > :47:27.best but not quite good enough. The ball carrying arm was intercepted

:47:28. > :47:33.before the line. Having looked at it the video referee says it is a try

:47:34. > :47:40.for Catalan. Zeb Taia the scorer, and it is game back on again.

:47:41. > :47:46.Early in this second half. Worrying moments for Brian

:47:47. > :47:52.McDermott, the Leeds coach. Henderson's off and running. William

:47:53. > :47:58.wts a kick. Hall stayed back. Think Hall might have knocked it on here,

:47:59. > :48:03.he has. Great Great pressure from Whitehead and Catalan they are the

:48:04. > :48:08.more energetic side at the moment. Forcing the error from Ryan Hall. So

:48:09. > :48:15.what an opportunity here for the Catalan drags. -- for the Catalan

:48:16. > :48:25.Dragons. Zeb Taia takes it in. They have never led in this game so far,

:48:26. > :48:32.Catalan. What a chance to turn that little record round. Bousquet. Leeds

:48:33. > :48:37.working hard here, but it is hard labour. Henderson again, grabbed

:48:38. > :48:44.round the ankles but he still manages to get it away to Mounis who

:48:45. > :48:52.is searching for that corner. Back to Williams again. A short pass, it

:48:53. > :48:56.has got a chance to put Louis Anderson, charging through, leaves

:48:57. > :49:00.his defence ripped apart and Headingley is silenced. The Catalans

:49:01. > :49:06.have the lead. Fantastic piece of play from

:49:07. > :49:12.William, the halfback. Pass to Anderson and a great strong robust

:49:13. > :49:16.runner of the ball to score the try. Williams shoved the ball, passed the

:49:17. > :49:19.ball to Anderson, his footwork strength, what about that for

:49:20. > :49:22.strength in a try? Catalan in the ascendancy. Certainly in terms of

:49:23. > :49:27.what is happening on the score board at the moment. They are playing with

:49:28. > :49:32.confidence here. Never won at Headingley, is that a

:49:33. > :49:39.record that is about to be rewritten tonight? Escare has a chance to run.

:49:40. > :49:45.First time tonight. How quick is he? Not enough. Hardaker with a fabulous

:49:46. > :49:51.cover tackle and that is why one full-back is in the dream team and

:49:52. > :49:56.the other one sussn't. Escare, sufficient porting the off load.

:49:57. > :50:02.Looked to have the legs but absolutely copy book tackle from Zak

:50:03. > :50:12.Hardaker. 13 minutes left to play. Nay find themes behind. Burrow out

:50:13. > :50:18.to Delaney. Delaney smashing it into the face of Henderson. And the roar

:50:19. > :50:23.goes up as Leeds look for a try to get themselves back in. It is

:50:24. > :50:28.Maguire. It is call by Ryan Hall but he can't find the corner. Catalan

:50:29. > :50:36.defenders desperately across, here is Maguire. Maguire is close. Handed

:50:37. > :50:44.out to that left-hand side. Here is Sinfield now. Only dos away and

:50:45. > :50:52.Jamie Jones-Buchanan scores the try. That brings it level again. Leeds

:50:53. > :50:58.rejoice. They might just have found an escape here a kick to come, but

:50:59. > :51:03.now it is all square once more. Leeds never say die attitude --

:51:04. > :51:08.attitude in abundance, trying to find way through the Catalan defence

:51:09. > :51:11.-- defence and they did in the end. Jamie Jones-Buchanan with a great

:51:12. > :51:17.try. So nimble. Quick on his feet Maguire. He has done this his whole

:51:18. > :51:22.career. Hardaker as well. It started with that Peacock off load and ended

:51:23. > :51:27.with Sinfield's great try from Buchanan.

:51:28. > :51:38.It is a moment on which seasons are resting. Leeds hack on, you fancy

:51:39. > :51:45.they would win the game. Catalan find a way through. He is going to

:51:46. > :51:50.go. Just a wall of... It will stop him getting anywhere near that

:51:51. > :51:54.goalline. Again, slow. Eventually playing, Whitehead now,

:51:55. > :52:01.spins it back, a bit scruffy. Henderson picks it up and tries to

:52:02. > :52:05.dart. Leeds are too good to let him through on that occasion Pelissier,

:52:06. > :52:11.Bosc.ed will's desperation is there again. They have survived five. How

:52:12. > :52:15.about the last? Henderson, back it go, Williams kick, towards this left

:52:16. > :52:20.hand side, the ball into the Leeds goal area. Hardaker will try to

:52:21. > :52:25.escape it and does. What about that for full-back playing. Strength from

:52:26. > :52:32.Hardaker. He knew where he was to get out of the field of play. They

:52:33. > :52:38.have lost it! They have lost it and Catalan dive on it and they have

:52:39. > :52:42.just won it. There are so many questions to answer here. Phil

:52:43. > :52:47.Bentham inevitably has to go upstairs to the individual

:52:48. > :52:52.catastrophe re-on this decision, the game and a season rests. -- the

:52:53. > :52:58.video referee. Sinfield passed from dummy half. Is it a genuine error

:52:59. > :53:02.from Briscoe, it appears to be, we are asking has Williams grounded the

:53:03. > :53:08.ball. He certainly has. And you can't help but feel that is going to

:53:09. > :53:15.be given as a try. This the decision. Headingley waits. Barely

:53:16. > :53:19.breathing. It is a try for Catalan. And that might just be the match

:53:20. > :53:26.winner. There will only be seconds for Leeds

:53:27. > :53:30.to recover from this. Catalan with the score. Leeds look as though

:53:31. > :53:39.their season is over, and it is the French side who are going through.

:53:40. > :53:43.Extraordinary. Thomas Bosc taking his time here. But Leeds might get

:53:44. > :53:53.something from the restart. Bosc has put it over. Yes he has, 20 points

:53:54. > :53:57.to Leeds, 24 to Catalan. Is there time for one final dramatic twist

:53:58. > :54:01.here. The coach looks cool enough. Catalan ready to receive the kick

:54:02. > :54:06.off. The clock started again. Nine seconds to go. Sinfield puts it

:54:07. > :54:09.high. This is it now. The ball is knocked backward, Briscoe picks it

:54:10. > :54:16.up. The hooter sound in the background. The tackle is completed

:54:17. > :54:21.and Catalan Dragons, with absolute delight. They have won, for the

:54:22. > :54:26.first time in their history, at Headingley stadium. They are also

:54:27. > :54:32.through to the next round of the play-offs. With a truly remarkable

:54:33. > :54:37.performance, and Leeds are left to rue the mistakes that have cost them

:54:38. > :54:43.dear. Congratulations, did you think the

:54:44. > :54:47.game was gone? At the end, yes, it is tough to come back against Leeds,

:54:48. > :54:51.in that type of game. I think, I think we have been lucky with the

:54:52. > :54:56.last try, but, but for once, I take it. What you said to the players in

:54:57. > :55:02.there? Not much. We weren't good enough. On the night. It wasn't

:55:03. > :55:09.great, and we, we have been out of form for a while, come up with a few

:55:10. > :55:13.losses and you know, we... We want it to be better tonight and it

:55:14. > :55:18.wasn't. Catalans were dogged throughout. They move forward in the

:55:19. > :55:22.play-offs and we don't. To beat Leeds here, how much confidence has

:55:23. > :55:26.that given you all? Massive. The last few weeks we have kept growing,

:55:27. > :55:30.today was another stepping stone and we know we have more to do. We need

:55:31. > :55:33.to get back and train hard this week, but it an exciting feeling at

:55:34. > :55:38.the moment. I am sure getting back to France there will be a buzz. Was

:55:39. > :55:44.your heart in your mouth in the final minutes? Yes, yes, it is never

:55:45. > :55:49.finished against Leeds. But today, we have done, done enough to win. We

:55:50. > :55:55.have done a lot of, a lot of good things in a lot of area, to win

:55:56. > :56:00.here, against a full strength side of Leeds, and I am very pleased and

:56:01. > :56:05.very happy, and, I want the keep on dreaming.

:56:06. > :56:09.-- to keep. We can see how much it means to the Catalan fans this win.

:56:10. > :56:14.Yes, fantastic performance from them. Really exciting, exhilarating

:56:15. > :56:18.end to the game. Leeds will be so disappointed with that, that the

:56:19. > :56:21.season fers oud in the way it has. But for Catalan Dragons what a

:56:22. > :56:25.finish. Huge opportunity in the play-offs now and a huge opportunity

:56:26. > :56:29.to get to a big game, the Grand Final and exciting moment, and well

:56:30. > :56:33.supported here by a small number of fans. Brian saying after the game

:56:34. > :56:38.they simply weren't good enough on the night. There were a few

:56:39. > :56:44.uncharacteristic errors for Leeds I think the game was punctuated by

:56:45. > :56:48.eors from players who don't usually make those mistake, I thought Leeds

:56:49. > :56:52.looked tired. Very rarely playing against Leeds, you feel as though

:56:53. > :56:55.they retired or lacking energy, but they looked that way tonight, and I

:56:56. > :56:58.think you have to credit Catalan with how they played. They

:56:59. > :57:03.controlled the ball. I thought Williams kicked the ball very well.

:57:04. > :57:07.Put Leeds under pressure with his kicking game. And they came out on

:57:08. > :57:11.top and fair play to them and they will celebrate that win. We have

:57:12. > :57:16.questioned how Catalan have been on the road. That is some win to do

:57:17. > :57:21.here. How much confidence will that give them next week? A huge amount

:57:22. > :57:25.of confidence. We are right, the stats support the Catalan are a poor

:57:26. > :57:30.side the road, but tonight, it could be a change. It could be a change in

:57:31. > :57:34.their form, away from home. It needs to be, because, that is a huge win

:57:35. > :57:38.for their club. Not just tonight and in the context of this season, but I

:57:39. > :57:42.believe in the context of their club, the history of rugby in the

:57:43. > :57:45.south of France, that is a massive win, and you know, I am sure they

:57:46. > :57:50.will be pleased with that. But they will have to do it again. They have

:57:51. > :57:54.to be tough to get the Grand Final. Catalan are through to week two of

:57:55. > :58:00.the play-offs and we will have the highlights from the two games next

:58:01. > :58:04.week on BBC Two, 5.30, on Sunday evening. Castleford host Warrington

:58:05. > :58:10.and Huddersfield will play Catalan. But the rugby league doesn't stop

:58:11. > :58:15.with the play-offs because we turn our attention to the four nations,

:58:16. > :58:20.we will have live coverage of England's matches plus highlight of

:58:21. > :58:24.the others. It kicked off in October with England against Samoa. The kick

:58:25. > :58:28.off is at 7.15 in the morning. So that is it for week one of the

:58:29. > :58:54.play-offs, from John and from me. Goodbye.

:58:55. > :58:56.'Down that slope, it comes, towards the hole.

:58:57. > :59:07.'This putt for Europe to retain the Ryder Cup...'
