0:01:22 > 0:01:35try of this World Cup. The USA.They have made a statement

0:01:35 > 0:01:40this afternoon. Here they come. They are about to

0:01:40 > 0:01:58crack 50.Johnson is going to score. Perfection personified.

0:01:58 > 0:02:11In for the try.That turns the duck egg into 4.

0:02:11 > 0:02:16Josh Duggan makes certain of an Australia victory.

0:02:16 > 0:02:19The 2017 World Cup is well and truly up and running.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22Over the next 90 minutes we'll bring you the highlights

0:02:22 > 0:02:25from all the games so far in week two of Rugby League's Premier

0:02:25 > 0:02:26International tournament.

0:02:26 > 0:02:30And joining me for this one are a trio of big game players,

0:02:30 > 0:02:32former Great Britain and Wales International

0:02:32 > 0:02:36Jonathan Davies, former-England captain

0:02:36 > 0:02:38Kevin Sinfield and former Kiwi, Robbie Hunter-Paul.

0:02:38 > 0:02:42Here's what's coming up:

0:02:42 > 0:02:43The Pacific Island powerhouses face off in Hamilton

0:02:43 > 0:02:48as Samoa take on Tonga.

0:02:48 > 0:02:51Scotland hope to cause an upset against the might of co-hosts

0:02:51 > 0:02:55New Zealand in Christchurch.

0:02:55 > 0:02:59It's England versus Lebanon from Sydney as Wayne Bennett's side

0:02:59 > 0:03:05look to recover from opening day defeat to Australia.

0:03:05 > 0:03:08And we'll show you all the tries from yesterday's clash between world

0:03:08 > 0:03:10champions Australia and France.

0:03:10 > 0:03:15If ever there was a heavyweight clash, then this is it.

0:03:15 > 0:03:18It's the battle of the Pacific Islands as Samoa take on Tonga.

0:03:18 > 0:03:28Strap yourselves in!

0:03:28 > 0:03:32What an amazing experience here.

0:03:35 > 0:03:38The power, the passion, the confrontation we will see on the

0:03:38 > 0:03:44field and the colour off the field. Both teams joining together for a

0:03:44 > 0:03:51prayer, a show of unity, a show of Pacific spirit and an example and a

0:03:51 > 0:03:56controversial week of the importance of maintaining respect for each

0:03:56 > 0:04:10others view points and cultures. Samoa will start.

0:04:14 > 0:04:33A much talked about Tongan team. A very powerful forward pack.

0:05:12 > 0:05:2720 meters out. Looking to get to the edge by himself. He goes lateral.

0:05:27 > 0:05:34Another grubber along the ground and this is a try for Tonga. Michael

0:05:34 > 0:05:47Jennings. Very cool. Very calm. And a beautifully placed kick. And

0:05:47 > 0:06:01Michael Jennings.Looking at the number 12 and the impact on him, he

0:06:01 > 0:06:05runs behind him. There is no proximity there mate, we're going

0:06:05 > 0:06:11through to grounding. He cleared the obstruction. Just from that corner,

0:06:11 > 0:06:15have you got it, mate? So we're playing on. No grounding. Picked up

0:06:15 > 0:06:26by Tonga. Grounded. We have a decision, going with the board. The

0:06:26 > 0:06:36first try for Tonga. 4-0. An exceptional start. The vision of

0:06:36 > 0:06:39the youngster. He has been exceptional. Jennings jumps over the

0:06:39 > 0:06:45top and scores his fourth try of the tournament. The best field position

0:06:45 > 0:06:52of the game so far for Samoa and it has taken them 16 minutes to get

0:06:52 > 0:07:03down the centre of the park. Roberts. A short ball. Three meters

0:07:03 > 0:07:14out. Yes. He is celebrating. He is confident. All eyes are on the rev

0:07:14 > 0:07:20reap. A couple of big carries from senior players. And Samoa look like

0:07:20 > 0:07:31they're going to get their first try.

0:07:35 > 0:07:456-4 with a kick to come.He went right. He came left. He buried nice

0:07:45 > 0:08:06and deep and he got his try.A strong carry. Now Lolohea. He

0:08:06 > 0:08:19thought about an off load. Roberts with the ball over the top. Samoa

0:08:19 > 0:08:40have great field position. Did he get it down? Did he get it grounded?

0:08:40 > 0:08:44REFEREE: Can you see where the ball ends up with regards to the

0:08:44 > 0:08:52grounding?OK, there is the ball. Stop there, mate. We have got him

0:08:52 > 0:09:10held up, Ben.Good shape out on the left-side. A short ball. Standing on

0:09:10 > 0:09:21the right side. It's a penalty.The Warriors will be happy with his

0:09:21 > 0:09:26performance. He has taken the line on more often than not and it is

0:09:26 > 0:09:31really applying the pressure on the edge for Samoa and then he has got

0:09:31 > 0:09:48the ability to take the line on, but shift the ball left to be a threat.

0:09:48 > 0:09:54A quality first grade and now an international footballer since

0:09:54 > 0:10:07heading to the Roosters and a quality goal kicker he is as well.

0:10:17 > 0:10:35A similar fate for Samoa. It is a kick short.

0:10:48 > 0:10:57Maumalo at the line. A front rower. 24 meters out. There is a chance for

0:10:57 > 0:11:08a repeat set, Tonga. Yes, they're going to get a set. Michael

0:11:08 > 0:11:22Jennings. The ball not taken.

0:11:23 > 0:11:28REFEREE: Tonga players are all on side. Keep it on this angle, Mike,

0:11:28 > 0:11:34for us. No interference there. That's OK. That's back keep wards.

0:11:34 > 0:11:37Anything else to confirm that? Based on the live decision. Hand in front

0:11:37 > 0:11:42of the ball. Just looking at that. Hand remains in front of the ball.

0:11:42 > 0:11:50OK, keep playing on here, mate, please. Confirming this so far, Ben.

0:11:50 > 0:11:53Ball backwards first and bounces forwards. We have a decision going

0:11:53 > 0:12:04to the board. COMMENTATOR:The ball come back and

0:12:04 > 0:12:10the forward went forward. The kicker is only as good as it is chased and

0:12:10 > 0:12:16there was a red sea there. Well done, Tonga.

0:12:16 > 0:12:32And Jennings, this is a combination. He has

0:12:32 > 0:12:39played 27 games together, Tupou and Jennings. Back on the inside for

0:12:39 > 0:12:55Samoa. A short ball, yes. Right in front. Good, strong determined

0:12:55 > 0:13:01running. It looked there was nothing on.

0:13:01 > 0:13:05REFEREE:Can you make sure he retains position of the ball. Still

0:13:05 > 0:13:08got the ball in the left arm. Still got the ball in the left arm. Thank

0:13:08 > 0:13:28you, mate.18-6, Tonga. To the line with an out ball and the momentum is

0:13:28 > 0:13:32going to get him over the line. That will be a try. And what about the

0:13:32 > 0:13:48angle of the run from Lolohea? Some doubt. Some big doubt.Got a call

0:13:48 > 0:13:51for double movement. REFEREE:I have no try. Can you

0:13:51 > 0:13:55confirm that he has done a double movement there, please? OK, we have

0:13:55 > 0:13:58got the ball under the arm. Just keep going here, mate. Keep going.

0:13:58 > 0:14:02Keep going. Keep going. So where the ball would have been under his arm,

0:14:02 > 0:14:06he would have been maybe in goal anyway. We have a decision going to

0:14:06 > 0:14:21the board.Yes, 24-6. Tonga over Samoa.The combinations they are

0:14:21 > 0:14:28forming now. They are trying to isolate the fielders on the edge.

0:14:28 > 0:14:38It's almost impossible.

0:14:43 > 0:14:55Timoteo Lafai. A desperate attempt to bring him down. Shaped to go

0:14:55 > 0:15:02wide. Samoa are going to score. Ben Roberts, after a little bit of

0:15:02 > 0:15:09deception on the edge of the Tongan defence and they have finally got

0:15:09 > 0:15:13something to smile about in the second half. There is a comeback

0:15:13 > 0:15:18from Samoa. Roberts on the back of that. A great off load and a great

0:15:18 > 0:15:35off load from Ben Roberts, the experience.A nice ball away. He off

0:15:35 > 0:15:44loads the ball. Four meters out now. 14 on the clock. They are down by

0:15:44 > 0:16:0014. Ben Roberts. A little double pump. Is that ball knocked on?

0:16:00 > 0:16:03REFEREE:Tackle three, no try. Can you confirm there is a knock on

0:16:03 > 0:16:11there, please? No, wait. Thank you, mate. We have a decision going to

0:16:11 > 0:16:21the board.

0:16:28 > 0:16:35Lolohea With a cut out ball.

0:16:37 > 0:16:47A good off load. Away from two defenders. He turns it down the left

0:16:47 > 0:17:01side. A great field position for Samoa.

0:17:03 > 0:17:09Away from one defender and passes in the tackle of a second. Yes, it

0:17:09 > 0:17:17didn't look like there was a lot of happening and they had it under

0:17:17 > 0:17:33control and a bit of magic. We know he has got power.

0:17:41 > 0:17:49He wept out himself.

0:17:55 > 0:18:06Now in the closing minutes. A beautiful ball. Lovely slight of

0:18:06 > 0:18:09hand and he understands the significance of that try with time

0:18:09 > 0:18:17running out on the clock and this is ball play 101 from a kid we all have

0:18:17 > 0:18:21a high regard for. He has been going and playing at the line all night

0:18:21 > 0:18:28and when it really mattered he has delivered the ball of the night.

0:18:28 > 0:18:35What a tie and that will make it too difficult for Samoa to come back.

0:18:35 > 0:18:45Again on the outside, he shifted that ball. Fantastic work.Tonga,

0:18:45 > 0:18:56they celebrate. 32-18.We are just happy with the win. We have got a

0:18:56 > 0:19:00big crowd here of Tongan and Samoan supporters. We play with a lot of

0:19:00 > 0:19:04pride. It was good. We put on a show and we

0:19:04 > 0:19:06are grateful for the turn-out we had tonight.

0:19:06 > 0:19:09are grateful for the turn-out we had tonight. There is a lot of off field

0:19:09 > 0:19:13troubles between the two nations. We thought as players we'd set a good

0:19:13 > 0:19:17example for everyone outside the field and it was good to come

0:19:17 > 0:19:22together. Not only as two different countries, but Pacific islanders in

0:19:22 > 0:19:26general. It is good to have that little moment as boys, yeah, it is

0:19:26 > 0:19:35good.The Tongans came out and started hard. The scoreboard shows

0:19:35 > 0:19:40that. Credit to both teams. Hopefully we look forward to next

0:19:40 > 0:19:44week.I think we will do something great this year. We will take it one

0:19:44 > 0:19:49game at a time. Samoa were tough tonight and a tough challenge next

0:19:49 > 0:19:52week against New Zealand. We will rest up for the moment and get back

0:19:52 > 0:19:57on the training field in a couple of days.Tell us how big that game was

0:19:57 > 0:20:03for those two nations?Massive and I think there was some shots of them

0:20:03 > 0:20:09both flying into New Zealand and big turn-outs of audiences. There was as

0:20:09 > 0:20:13was spoken about on the footage, there was some trouble this week

0:20:13 > 0:20:18involving hundreds of people according to the New Zealand media,

0:20:18 > 0:20:23six people were arrested and there was a call out from Hamilton's mayor

0:20:23 > 0:20:27saying we live under the one roof under God and we make sure we look

0:20:27 > 0:20:31after one another. It was great to see the players intermingle with one

0:20:31 > 0:20:35another and have a prayer with one another. There was many blue and red

0:20:35 > 0:20:45flags mixed together. Saying that, then you have both their war chants

0:20:45 > 0:20:48right at each other's faces. They meant it and the opening exchanges

0:20:48 > 0:20:52were brutal. So, great set-up for the game.It was a good game, wasn't

0:20:52 > 0:20:59it?You expected it so. . So physical and they just smash into

0:20:59 > 0:21:03each other. Maybe Tonga, a little bit more organisation and maybe a

0:21:03 > 0:21:08little bit more quality, but a great game. Whoever comes out of that

0:21:08 > 0:21:13group, you know, they will be really battle harrened going into the later

0:21:13 > 0:21:19stages. I feel sorry for Scotland being in that group! That's why it

0:21:19 > 0:21:22is a World Cup, you play against the best and you have got to take it all

0:21:22 > 0:21:33on the chin.

0:21:38 > 0:21:43Jason Taumalolo led from the front. A big powerful man who seems to have

0:21:43 > 0:21:48an engine that we have not seen for a long, long time from a Tongan or a

0:21:48 > 0:21:54Southsea islander. He keeps going. He is an 80 minute man. Full of

0:21:54 > 0:21:59power and explosion. He is so hard to stop.Yes, some of the big guys

0:21:59 > 0:22:02from Samoa, it has taken three or four of them to put him down and

0:22:02 > 0:22:08then he finds an off load. A real handful for them.He is amazing. A

0:22:08 > 0:22:12guy that big, that explosive shouldn't be able to change

0:22:12 > 0:22:16direction like he does. As soon as he gets into contact, both his feet

0:22:16 > 0:22:19continue to move. The thing this does to the defence, what it does to

0:22:19 > 0:22:22the defence as you can see there, you have got four guys having to

0:22:22 > 0:22:25burn energy there and they are still not dominating the tackle. When he

0:22:25 > 0:22:29gets up, there is guys scattered on the ground and it leaves holes in

0:22:29 > 0:22:32the defensive line. He doesn't score all the time. He doesn't set up

0:22:32 > 0:22:35tries all the time, but the damage he leaves in the wake of his carries

0:22:35 > 0:22:39takes so much out of defensive line and leaves opportunities for his

0:22:39 > 0:22:47team behind. If you look at their quality players from the NRL, they

0:22:47 > 0:22:50could have been easily gone into the Australian side as Jennings has

0:22:50 > 0:22:54previously. To get the ball on the front foot from players like that,

0:22:54 > 0:22:58you know, it's a lot easier to attack then.Are you seeing enough

0:22:58 > 0:23:01from Tonga and you think they will be that fourth semi-finalist and

0:23:01 > 0:23:06could they make the final?Yes, very much. I am not sure about making the

0:23:06 > 0:23:11final. I certainly think semi-final. Fiji will have something to say

0:23:11 > 0:23:14about that, it will be interesting to see how they do this weekend. If

0:23:14 > 0:23:20you could put those two against each other, it would be mouth watering.

0:23:20 > 0:23:26Like this clash.Samoa gifted Tonga a couple of tries, but they looked

0:23:26 > 0:23:32better in the second 40 from last week. There was a lot of passion by

0:23:32 > 0:23:36Samoa today, they met muscle with muscle. Probably where Tonga had the

0:23:36 > 0:23:43edge on them was probably in the halfs. And both of them are stable

0:23:43 > 0:23:46half-backs whereas on the flip side Ben Roberts is probably the one

0:23:46 > 0:23:52player with the most experience. So he is having to do all the

0:23:52 > 0:23:56controlling and mechanism himself. There were a couple of times though

0:23:56 > 0:24:10where you need, where we talk about them as one percenters. One of the

0:24:10 > 0:24:16players is an NRL player and he plays for New Zealand, he is trying

0:24:16 > 0:24:19to outthink himself before he plays the ball and then the second time it

0:24:19 > 0:24:22was in the air. Just edges, those are the things, those little one

0:24:22 > 0:24:25percenters of what let's you down and gives Tonga the opportunity to

0:24:25 > 0:24:31score those type of tries. Semi-final, you know, final, I think

0:24:31 > 0:24:36what the edge that Australia and New Zealand and England have, are the

0:24:36 > 0:24:41organisation skills from half back and a kicking game. They are looser.

0:24:41 > 0:24:44There is no real general or controlling influence from either

0:24:44 > 0:24:47side really, but you know, if you don't stand up to them and they get

0:24:47 > 0:24:52a roll on, they are tough to hang on to.I wouldn't want to try and stop

0:24:52 > 0:24:54any of them.

0:24:54 > 0:24:56Co-hosts New Zealand were supposed to be in disarray

0:24:56 > 0:24:58going into this tournament crippled by suspensions and defections.

0:24:58 > 0:25:05They soon put that to bed.

0:25:05 > 0:25:09The Kiwis opener saw them involved in a tight first half against Samoa,

0:25:09 > 0:25:11however they took control in the second period and ran out

0:25:11 > 0:25:12comfortable winners.

0:25:12 > 0:25:15The co-hosts will look to build on that and produce an 80 minute

0:25:15 > 0:25:19display against the Scots.

0:25:19 > 0:25:24Johnson is going to score. Perfection personified.

0:25:24 > 0:25:26Scotland, by contrast, suffered a heavy opening defeat

0:25:26 > 0:25:27at the hands of Tonga.

0:25:27 > 0:25:31With few positives from the game, the Bravehearts will hope

0:25:31 > 0:25:34for inspiration from their last match against New Zealand, an 18-18

0:25:34 > 0:25:38draw in the Four Nations last year.

0:25:38 > 0:25:50They deserve something from this game.

0:25:52 > 0:25:57A wonderful welcome for both teams ahead of this Poole B clash. The

0:25:57 > 0:26:012017 World Cup here in Christchurch, Poole B against New Zealand and

0:26:01 > 0:26:11Scotland. A quick check of the teams. New Zealand's line up are:

0:26:26 > 0:26:35Two tackles left in this set. Waerea-Hargreaves plays the ball.

0:26:35 > 0:26:41Johnson on the last play. Johnson's kick holds up in the breeze a bit.

0:26:41 > 0:26:51That's going to be a penalty to the Kiwis. So they go to the air on the

0:26:51 > 0:26:56last play. It was Martin who jumped into dummy half and they get the

0:26:56 > 0:27:01penalty. I'm watching Taylor and he is struggling to get to the ruck

0:27:01 > 0:27:06which is putting pressure on the dummy half position.Well, it is an

0:27:06 > 0:27:10interesting observation. Taylor, effectively playing out of position

0:27:10 > 0:27:21here as the nine today. It is a try. The try, his first in a Kiwis jersey

0:27:21 > 0:27:30and it is nine minutes in and New Zealand lead in this game.A good

0:27:30 > 0:27:41start for Kenny Bromwich. A good tip on from Taupau. The set starts right

0:27:41 > 0:27:47here. Only 12 meters out from the Scottish line. Here is Taupau. He is

0:27:47 > 0:27:51just being a menace. He made a strong start as Taylor plays the

0:27:51 > 0:27:57ball quickly. Martin. Oh, here comes another try, it is Nightingale who

0:27:57 > 0:28:02goes on to score. His 18th try for the Kiwis. Good shift of the ball

0:28:02 > 0:28:11out to the left. And just like that New Zealand are off to a 10-0 lead.

0:28:11 > 0:28:15A lovely shift of the ball to the left. Jason Nightingale, the

0:28:15 > 0:28:24veteran, three World Cups for him. Johnson, fires it along. It is catch

0:28:24 > 0:28:34and pass. Brings it round closer to the post.Nightingale's try as the

0:28:34 > 0:28:40Kiwis out to 10-0. Two quick tries. Many tackles. The

0:28:40 > 0:28:48first contact is really, really high. They need to whack some legs.

0:28:48 > 0:28:57Martin, he is on his lonesome here. Tackled by Alex Walker. Taylor. Here

0:28:57 > 0:29:08is Blair. Waerea-Hargreaves. This is great passing. He has got some

0:29:08 > 0:29:13speed, Joseph Tapine. Strolls in and the Kiwis slicing and dicing

0:29:13 > 0:29:22Scotland at the moment. It is 14-0. The first try for Joseph Tapine.

0:29:22 > 0:29:26Johnson deciding where to play, how to play. Was he over the top? No, he

0:29:26 > 0:29:30wasn't. He picked the right man at the right time and his name was

0:29:30 > 0:29:37Tapine.

0:29:37 > 0:29:45Kiwis get another opportunity. Johnston. Nightingale again. Blair,

0:29:45 > 0:29:53inside the tent, there is the off-load, Taylor, and Paccar.

0:29:54 > 0:30:00We have only had 22 minutes, Taylor giving it to Martin. Tuivasa-Sheck,

0:30:00 > 0:30:08could be a double! Jason Nightingale. He is having a game and

0:30:08 > 0:30:16a half hours he gets the Kiwis' fourth drive.Nightingale at the

0:30:16 > 0:30:21double, Martin gives the nod, Tuivasa-Sheck, and a lovely pass,

0:30:21 > 0:30:26bit of a basketball pass, good pick-up by Nightingale download, two

0:30:26 > 0:30:32to go.18-0. -- down low.

0:30:36 > 0:30:45Nightingale scooted around a fast charging Johnny Walker, there. Levi.

0:30:45 > 0:30:52Martin. Asofa-Solomona. The big man creates for one of the smallest men

0:30:52 > 0:30:59on the field, Te Maire Martin, in for the Kiwis' fifth Drive. And

0:30:59 > 0:31:07Martin gets his first in Kiwis jersey.Asofa-Solomona is just too

0:31:07 > 0:31:12big, look at them go to the line, one-on-one, pushes him aside and

0:31:12 > 0:31:16then one, two on the inside, Te Maire Martin, what a season he has

0:31:16 > 0:31:23had.22-0, New Zealand. Two minutes to play until half-time, the Kiwis

0:31:23 > 0:31:28would love to grab one more before the break. Good smashed that time by

0:31:28 > 0:31:34Ben Halley well. Good play the ball off the back of that one, Peta Hiku

0:31:34 > 0:31:40running again. He's coming off his line a lot, Peta Hiku. Levi handles

0:31:40 > 0:31:49nicely to Johnston, and Adam Fonua-Blake again. Three metres from

0:31:49 > 0:31:53the line. Levi, Johnston, tailor-made for another Kiwis dried,

0:31:53 > 0:32:01Peta Hiku is in! -- Kiwis tried. Simple shift down the right, another

0:32:01 > 0:32:07try to New Zealand. This is good work, they know if they play through

0:32:07 > 0:32:09the middle that the numbers on the outside will be short. Peta Hiku

0:32:09 > 0:32:17deserve the try. And the shift was perfect, the catch and pass was

0:32:17 > 0:32:28pretty much selfless, really. Clinical.28-0.

0:32:31 > 0:32:36Martin. Bromwich hits the line strongly, Martin backs up and good

0:32:36 > 0:32:39support again, skips through a couple of half attempts, again.

0:32:39 > 0:32:48Levi. Down the short side again through Bromwich. Tuivasa-Sheck,

0:32:48 > 0:32:52another missed tackle, another, and another. And here comes Russell

0:32:52 > 0:32:57Packer! Is he going to be allowed to score that right? Interesting for

0:32:57 > 0:33:03the radio reverie, early in the second half. -- that try.He thought

0:33:03 > 0:33:08he had won in the first half, he got close.Does Russell Packer break the

0:33:08 > 0:33:18first tackle?He clears that tackle. He's going to get a green light.The

0:33:18 > 0:33:21second defender comes in and we have a grounding. This is going to be

0:33:21 > 0:33:30tried for Russell Packer, his first in a Kiwis jumper. -- BA

0:33:31 > 0:33:35there will be a party in Folkestone tonight, that is for sure, the birds

0:33:35 > 0:33:42try for Rusty Packer, what a story he has been. -- the first try. Levi,

0:33:42 > 0:33:47and now Martin Taupau, straight back into his work, and there is the

0:33:47 > 0:33:55off-load to Levi. Martin. Founa-Blake again. Enjoying himself,

0:33:55 > 0:34:01wearing that Kiwis jumper for the first time. Founa-Blake and now to

0:34:01 > 0:34:08Marty Martin, head down. -- Te Maire Martin. He scores his second try of

0:34:08 > 0:34:15the game as the Kiwis extend their lead.Lovely work, here, a good,

0:34:15 > 0:34:21old-fashioned show and go. Te Maire Martin. Good turn of speed. Good

0:34:21 > 0:34:27numbers on the outside. I is all looking. It was a good derby as

0:34:27 > 0:34:32well. -- I all the king. He is class. -- it was a good Toon Army as

0:34:32 > 0:34:33well.

0:34:37 > 0:34:43Fonua-Blake again, squeezing himself between two defenders. Missed

0:34:43 > 0:34:49tackles coming up towards 50 now as Martin gallops through. It is going

0:34:49 > 0:34:59to be a try from Dean Whare. Cash in time for New Zealand. This man

0:34:59 > 0:35:05deserves a try, here, Dean Whare, he had a whale of a game in the first

0:35:05 > 0:35:08half, Te Maire Martin finds him floating up through the inside,

0:35:08 > 0:35:17showed good pace. Third test try for Dean Whare. Second in the World Cup.

0:35:17 > 0:35:2044-0.

0:35:25 > 0:35:29Oh, poor old Danny Brough.Having a conversation with Henry Perenara,

0:35:29 > 0:35:34catch up for a cup afterwards, and he fails to find touch.New Zealand

0:35:34 > 0:35:43have the ball, Danny Brough not finding touch. Joseph Tapine, not

0:35:43 > 0:35:49many touches in the game, just his sixth carry.Bursting downtown.

0:35:49 > 0:35:55Levi, and look at the space down the short side and Tuivasa-Sheck can run

0:35:55 > 0:36:02towards the line and Peta Hiku is in for his second try. Too much space

0:36:02 > 0:36:08on the short side left by Scotland, and New Zealand edged towards 50

0:36:08 > 0:36:13points, in fact, they have nailed it, 50-0.Again, Scotland's kick

0:36:13 > 0:36:17does not find touch and they paid a price, this is frustration coming

0:36:17 > 0:36:23out from Danny Brough, and then just one play later, Tuivasa-Sheck sums

0:36:23 > 0:36:33up that pass so well. Peta Hiku in for his second.Six goals to Shaun

0:36:33 > 0:36:38Johnson in the game, now, getting close to being the leading points

0:36:38 > 0:36:43scorer in New Zealand rugby league history at the moment Matthew Rich

0:36:43 > 0:36:52holds that record with 168 and Johnson is on 165.Interesting also,

0:36:52 > 0:36:55Danny Brough exempted himself from kicking off, giving the duty to

0:36:55 > 0:37:01Danny Addy.Fonua-Blake with the off-load and Tuivasa-Sheck, Johnson

0:37:01 > 0:37:07is inside him, this could be the record! Shaun Johnson, with that

0:37:07 > 0:37:11try, becomes the leading points scorer in Kiwis history. Tough day

0:37:11 > 0:37:20for Scotland but a great day for Shaun Johnson, 56-0.A real

0:37:20 > 0:37:24refreshing style of football, lovely work from Tuivasa-Sheck. How many

0:37:24 > 0:37:28tries has this man had today? On this occasion, the recipient is

0:37:28 > 0:37:37Shaun Johnson. Streaking away to create history.New Zealand lead

0:37:37 > 0:37:4656-0. Adam Blair back out there,

0:37:46 > 0:37:50Hargreaves -- Waerea-Hargreaves, and Peta Hiku, one of New Zealand's best

0:37:50 > 0:37:59today, to dries, 17 carries. -- two tries. Martin, Bromwich, he and Dean

0:37:59 > 0:38:06Whare have been solid on the left edge. Waerea-Hargreaves heads

0:38:06 > 0:38:10towards the goal line.

0:38:13 > 0:38:19Taylor on the last play, good hands Ron Johnson, that is the kick for

0:38:19 > 0:38:24another New Zealand... Peta Hiku! They might check this one but this

0:38:24 > 0:38:32could be a hat-trick for Peta Hiku. Tackle six, Czech, start with the

0:38:32 > 0:38:42try. Check the grounding by the Kiwis Blair. -- Kiwis player. We

0:38:42 > 0:38:47will need to clear the offside, please. OK, so the outside chasers

0:38:47 > 0:38:51are onside, follow that through to the grounding, please, nice and

0:38:51 > 0:39:10slow. Yeah.So it is going to be a tried to Peta Hiku. It is 62-0. -- a

0:39:10 > 0:39:16try. Let's see what Scotland have got, can they register points? Danny

0:39:16 > 0:39:20Addy was their try scorer last week, scooting over from dummy half close

0:39:20 > 0:39:23to the line against Tonga, wearing seven last week but wearing nine in

0:39:23 > 0:39:27this game and he's got his hands on the ball, Danny Addy. Here come

0:39:27 > 0:39:36Scotland again. Douglas. Danny Addy from dummy half again. Thomas is

0:39:36 > 0:39:40going to get through and score!

0:39:45 > 0:39:53Well, he shrugged off the tackle and suddenly, it opened up and Oscar

0:39:53 > 0:39:58Thomas says thanks very much, I'll have four points.Yes, the Bradford

0:39:58 > 0:40:02Bulls half gets rid of Danny Levi with a bit of footwork and a tiring

0:40:02 > 0:40:05defence, Danny Addy shifting the ball and away he goes. Arm grabbing,

0:40:05 > 0:40:13nice try, his fourth in his seventh test.Who do you reckon should be

0:40:13 > 0:40:21man of the match?Pfizer Solomona, in both of the games --

0:40:21 > 0:40:31Asofa-Solomona, and Tuivasa-Sheck. They have both been selfless.Five

0:40:31 > 0:40:36tries, 240 metres, Tuivasa-Sheck, and 13 carries, fantastic game for

0:40:36 > 0:40:41him, man of the match in this one. Levi sneaks away from dummy half.

0:40:45 > 0:40:51Levi plays the ball. Johnson. Blair. Passing to Martin, who is in again,

0:40:51 > 0:40:59just a simple handoff and it is Te Maire Martin who is in for his third

0:40:59 > 0:41:04try.Scored a lovely one on the right-hand side for his second, Te

0:41:04 > 0:41:09Maire Martin, and a lovely friend on Oscar this time, gifted on both

0:41:09 > 0:41:13sides of the football field, Te Maire Martin, three tries, second

0:41:13 > 0:41:23game. He's got a future. Tuivasa-Sheck, he will try until the

0:41:23 > 0:41:2980th minute, four minutes to play this game in Christchurch. Maybe

0:41:29 > 0:41:35time for one more. How about that off-load? Peta Hiku. The

0:41:35 > 0:41:43beneficiary. Eventually, a wonderful off-load from Waerea-Hargreaves. 40

0:41:43 > 0:41:52off-loads for the Kiwis, 68-6 is the score, as Martin Taupau, head down,

0:41:52 > 0:42:02can Blair get out of the way? Fantastic play the ball, running for

0:42:02 > 0:42:09it, and Elijah Taylor! Scoring yet another.Taylor scores it but it is

0:42:09 > 0:42:14the run from Martin Taupau, he just does not stop.Been a very

0:42:14 > 0:42:18professional performance from the Kiwis, laid the foundation in the

0:42:18 > 0:42:21first half and they have continued in the second half and they will be

0:42:21 > 0:42:26walking away from today's game very confident. Obviously, very pleased

0:42:26 > 0:42:28to lead this

0:42:28 > 0:42:28confident. Obviously, very pleased to lead this

0:42:28 > 0:42:32team to victory today?I am, I'm new to the job but I'm enjoying it, I've

0:42:32 > 0:42:36got a great group of boys who are willing and hungry to do everything

0:42:36 > 0:42:41for the team and the result was therefore the boys. Again, a few

0:42:41 > 0:42:45little things that we can fix up at a good effort overall.Tough day at

0:42:45 > 0:42:51the office?Very tough, we were not in the game, the first half, we did

0:42:51 > 0:42:54in the first ten minutes, set for set and we were in there but once we

0:42:54 > 0:42:59conceded and started to go down, they ran away with it.We are a bit

0:42:59 > 0:43:02disappointed in the six points they got at the end, it was a goal for us

0:43:02 > 0:43:06at the half-time not to let any point in and we let that go which

0:43:06 > 0:43:09was a bit disappointing but in saying that, I thought the boys

0:43:09 > 0:43:12played really well and you know, it is hard not to play well when you're

0:43:12 > 0:43:15forwards are going forward like that and the momentum is there the whole

0:43:15 > 0:43:20time. Credit to the forwards, they did a good job.I've said all along,

0:43:20 > 0:43:23we've got a really young squad and you would like to think that they

0:43:23 > 0:43:26will learn lessons from that and I'm sure they will do. The key now is to

0:43:26 > 0:43:32make sure we turn up with a better attitude all round next week against

0:43:32 > 0:43:40Samoa.Feeling fairly confident and pleased with your team?Well, yeah.

0:43:40 > 0:43:43Honestly, all the controversy going into this tournament, and we were

0:43:43 > 0:43:47talking about it last week, how that would impact on the Kiwis and I

0:43:47 > 0:43:52think you can see it has actually had the effect of killing them,

0:43:52 > 0:43:55pulling them tighter together and that is really starting to come

0:43:55 > 0:44:01through in their play. The game this morning, very early, it has been a

0:44:01 > 0:44:05long day, night, whatever you want to call it! They are really enjoying

0:44:05 > 0:44:08themselves and that is the key but equally, they went about their

0:44:08 > 0:44:13business very professionally. When you are blowing teams off the park,

0:44:13 > 0:44:19so to speak, you can fall into the trap of coming up with trick passes

0:44:19 > 0:44:22and making foolish mistakes, overplaying, so to speak. They did

0:44:22 > 0:44:26do that at times but what I liked about this New Zealand team is that

0:44:26 > 0:44:30the very next set and the one after that, they got back to being

0:44:30 > 0:44:32extremely professional and one of the commentators said that about

0:44:32 > 0:44:38their performance, New Zealand's afternoon, was it was a professional

0:44:38 > 0:44:41performance and you need that, to create the continuity, those rhythms

0:44:41 > 0:44:47and combinations.Looking at Scotland, I thought they have been

0:44:47 > 0:44:51very poor, they mentioned it in the post match, I don't know what has

0:44:51 > 0:44:56been an issue, but no matter what level you are at, line speed has got

0:44:56 > 0:45:00to be good, you've got to put the effort in and unfortunately, I felt

0:45:00 > 0:45:03that maybe they are not good enough at this level but also, I don't

0:45:03 > 0:45:08think the attitude was where it should have been. But saying that, I

0:45:08 > 0:45:14thought that New Zealand, you know, were clinical. I thought the tries

0:45:14 > 0:45:18they scored and the precision of the passing, the way they exploited and

0:45:18 > 0:45:25moved Scotland around, looking back at Samoa as well, they countered the

0:45:25 > 0:45:30physical aspect of the simmering game, where they tried to blast them

0:45:30 > 0:45:35but then, you know, those key stood back and went, "Right", and when it

0:45:35 > 0:45:40was on, it was on. They looked very competent at the moment. Those X

0:45:40 > 0:45:41factor players are really delivering

0:45:41 > 0:45:41competent at the moment.Those X factor players are really delivering

0:45:41 > 0:45:47for them around that unit, as Jonathan said.I think the boys have

0:45:47 > 0:45:50nailed it. We were all wondering what New Zealand would throw up in

0:45:50 > 0:45:54this competition and we've been answered very strongly. They play a

0:45:54 > 0:46:00refreshing band of rugby league. -- brand of rugby league. The spine,

0:46:00 > 0:46:03Tuivasa-Sheck, Martin started at stand-off alongside Johnson, those

0:46:03 > 0:46:07three were outstanding for them and we have seen some clips of

0:46:07 > 0:46:10Tuivasa-Sheck come here, and his combination with Johnson, I don't

0:46:10 > 0:46:16think they are as good currently -- there's as good a combination

0:46:16 > 0:46:19currently in international sport Rugby league, the Australians are

0:46:19 > 0:46:22strong with Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater but this was more

0:46:22 > 0:46:26entertaining and electric. The style of football they play, you would

0:46:26 > 0:46:29argue, I would love to see a club play like this, big and strong up

0:46:29 > 0:46:32the middle but with so many options, the full-back knowing exactly where

0:46:32 > 0:46:36he needs to be and to beat a side by that many in an international like

0:46:36 > 0:46:42this is impressive.Tuivasa-Sheck exploded onto the British scene in

0:46:42 > 0:46:46the 2013 World Cup but back then he was a line break and finisher, what

0:46:46 > 0:46:50he has done what we have seen is adding being a support player to his

0:46:50 > 0:46:51game, not only that but also delivering

0:46:51 > 0:46:54game, not only that but also delivering tries. You see him make a

0:46:54 > 0:46:58cutout pass to Peta Hiku, who scores on the edge. That complement with

0:46:58 > 0:47:01Shaun Johnson has been built over the last two seasons with New

0:47:01 > 0:47:05Zealand Warriors, then working together. The headache for David

0:47:05 > 0:47:10Kidwell, the coach, is who does he play in the other half? Nicotine

0:47:10 > 0:47:15played well against Samoa.It's a great headache to have.Te Maire

0:47:15 > 0:47:19Martin scores a hat-trick in his second game and he looked

0:47:19 > 0:47:22comfortable down the left edge, they created a lot of space and he is a

0:47:22 > 0:47:27great talker and provider. Johnson's game has developed as well. He was

0:47:27 > 0:47:29just a line breaker and runner and now he's directing players around

0:47:29 > 0:47:35the field. It is these layers that offer New Zealand to really take it

0:47:35 > 0:47:40to the next level because they've got so much strength and muscle up

0:47:40 > 0:47:44front.That is the difference, as Kevin said, it is so enjoyable to

0:47:44 > 0:47:47watch them play, whether it is Samoa, England, Australia or

0:47:47 > 0:47:51Scotland, they will try and play football and if they can get the

0:47:51 > 0:47:55attitude right, which sometimes they don't, the forward pack is strong

0:47:55 > 0:48:00and then you have got these finesse players behind. They are always

0:48:00 > 0:48:03capable of scoring tries against the best sides in the world so it is

0:48:03 > 0:48:07their defence and attitude.Would it be asking too much of Scotland to

0:48:07 > 0:48:10try to match New Zealand, given that there's a lot of members in both

0:48:10 > 0:48:15squad that play in the Championship and even in League 1?I think so, to

0:48:15 > 0:48:18come up against a side like that New Zealand side, who were red-hot

0:48:18 > 0:48:24today, look, Scotland have got five regular Super League players and

0:48:24 > 0:48:27three regular NRL players so less than half the team come from the top

0:48:27 > 0:48:30competitions in the world and the rest are coming from lower level,

0:48:30 > 0:48:37lower league clubs. I think it shows. They had a great result last

0:48:37 > 0:48:40year in the four nations against the Kiwis were they drew and I'm sure

0:48:40 > 0:48:42New Zealand were thinking that they were ruthless with the performance

0:48:42 > 0:48:48today. But as Steve pointed out, they will only learn from this, get

0:48:48 > 0:48:54some experience, those in Scotland boys.Revenge was sweet.

0:49:00 > 0:49:03This is the situation in Group B after those two games

0:49:03 > 0:49:05with New Zealand imperious at the top and Tonga

0:49:05 > 0:49:06also looking impressive.

0:49:06 > 0:49:08The top three go through to the quarter-finals,

0:49:08 > 0:49:13so Scotland and Samoa face off for that spot next week.

0:49:13 > 0:49:15Ireland made an impressive start to their campaign last week

0:49:15 > 0:49:17in the Cairns sunshine seeing off a handy Italian side.

0:49:17 > 0:49:21So the Group C table looks like this with Ireland sat just

0:49:21 > 0:49:23behind co-hosts Papua New Guinea who battered Wales

0:49:23 > 0:49:24in their first match.

0:49:24 > 0:49:27The top two face each other in the cauldron of Port Moresby

0:49:27 > 0:49:31tomorrow in a game that promises to be a cracker.

0:49:38 > 0:49:45They score the opening try! Hebert say well weighted kick in, flying

0:49:45 > 0:49:48forward, oh, beautiful dive!

0:49:51 > 0:49:58Takes them to the line and this time, he gets it down! Planted in

0:49:58 > 0:50:03the corner! What a start for Ireland!

0:50:03 > 0:50:05And I'm delighted to be joined by Ireland coach Mark Aston

0:50:05 > 0:50:07on the phone from Papua New Guinea.

0:50:07 > 0:50:10Thank you for joining us. You must have been thrilled with the way the

0:50:10 > 0:50:18team went last week.Oh, absolutely. It was outstanding. The boys for the

0:50:18 > 0:50:22last three weeks, while he have been in camp, have put everything in, and

0:50:22 > 0:50:28you know, the first week in Cairns was all about the rain, the second

0:50:28 > 0:50:32was all about the humidity, and at the end of the week, going about the

0:50:32 > 0:50:36performance, I've got to say it was probably the proudest I've been at

0:50:36 > 0:50:40the Ireland coach in the last six or seven years. The guy is absolutely

0:50:40 > 0:50:46delivered the ultimate performance. Jonathan Davies, here. How are the

0:50:46 > 0:50:51players earned yourself enjoying the Papua New Guinea experience?Listen,

0:50:51 > 0:50:55Jonathan, it is absolutely outstanding. Probably one of the

0:50:55 > 0:50:59best hotels that I've ever been in, and I've been to Dubai, Australia,

0:50:59 > 0:51:06and we were.It's changed since I was there!Have you got me?We can

0:51:06 > 0:51:12still hear you, keep going.Yeah, the staff and the people have been

0:51:12 > 0:51:16outstanding and everyone said we should not go out, the hotel is

0:51:16 > 0:51:20attached to a shopping mall but the people of Papua New Guinea are all

0:51:20 > 0:51:24over the guys, you know, wanting pictures, and diving for some of the

0:51:24 > 0:51:28younger players, certainly, myself and some of the younger players. --

0:51:28 > 0:51:32I think for some of the younger players, myself and some of the

0:51:32 > 0:51:35younger players, it's been eye opening, we have been out of the

0:51:35 > 0:51:39schools and seen what rugby league is like out there, and we were

0:51:39 > 0:51:44fortunate to go to the beach yesterday, and for the last ten

0:51:44 > 0:51:47years, we have had a big association with Papua New Guinea, people like

0:51:47 > 0:51:54Gary low... They took us to the beach. I've got to say, for me

0:51:54 > 0:51:57personally, I have thoroughly enjoyed it, it has been the best

0:51:57 > 0:52:02part of it so far.Mark, will the key be dealing with the physicality

0:52:02 > 0:52:11of Papua New Guinea?Yeah, nobody gave us a chance last week. I was

0:52:11 > 0:52:16talking about Italy and things, we knew we could beat Italy, we had a

0:52:16 > 0:52:20plan and we executed it to perfection and the boys have got to

0:52:20 > 0:52:25take a lot of credit. We had 85% ball control in the first half and

0:52:25 > 0:52:30that is when it was won. They need to be very good in the second 40 and

0:52:30 > 0:52:36they were for a period but we did not back off them and the

0:52:36 > 0:52:40performance epitomised what we have done enough couple of weeks and

0:52:40 > 0:52:43again, I've got to give credit to Ireland, the funding, we don't have

0:52:43 > 0:52:47massive amounts of money but they put us up in camp in Cairns the week

0:52:47 > 0:52:50before we were supposed to come into camp and I think that has borne

0:52:50 > 0:52:55fruit. Again, we are going to be smart tomorrow, play a brand of

0:52:55 > 0:53:02football that will expose them. Yes, we all know the physical aspects of

0:53:02 > 0:53:05this game is going to be what it is about but when you've got people

0:53:05 > 0:53:12like the lad signals and -- Singleton, Kyle Amor, Michael

0:53:12 > 0:53:17McIlorum, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, and actually, George King, there is some

0:53:17 > 0:53:21views and experience and they have gotten tonnes of people are now.

0:53:21 > 0:53:25Mark, thank you for joining us and the best of luck tomorrow. The Hotel

0:53:25 > 0:53:29might be great but the phone line not brilliant in Papua New Guinea

0:53:29 > 0:53:33but great to hear from him, best of luck. Ireland looked really good

0:53:33 > 0:53:38last week.Yeah, really impressed with them and for the home nations

0:53:38 > 0:53:43apart from England, play other side that you hope good progress. I think

0:53:43 > 0:53:47Mark mentioned, Brad Singleton, Kyle Amor, Michael McIlorum, if those

0:53:47 > 0:53:49three physical tomorrow, which we know they always bring that but if

0:53:49 > 0:53:53they are against Papua New Guinea tomorrow, with the smarts of Liam

0:53:53 > 0:53:56Finn who I thought was outstanding last week and Scott Grix at

0:53:56 > 0:54:01full-back, you know, they could cause an upset. We worried a bit

0:54:01 > 0:54:05that the edges of Ireland were not strong but Liam Kay was fabulous and

0:54:05 > 0:54:09took his chance. He's a great player, knows how to get over the

0:54:09 > 0:54:12line and enjoy himself. That is an important thing. Mark sounded like

0:54:12 > 0:54:16they were having fun, they were enjoying themselves. When the camp

0:54:16 > 0:54:21is nice and confident and tight, you enjoy yourself. Reading the

0:54:21 > 0:54:24Australian press last week, they should not have had a chance playing

0:54:24 > 0:54:27against the Italians because the Italians this and Italians that, but

0:54:27 > 0:54:31they surprised a run. We know the quality of player in that team and

0:54:31 > 0:54:36we knew that they could do it. This game tomorrow is one of the two

0:54:36 > 0:54:41games I really want to watch, like Samoa Tonga today but obviously, how

0:54:41 > 0:54:44Ireland can progress against Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby? What a

0:54:44 > 0:54:50tasty game. They dealt with the heat in Cairns so how much does that help

0:54:50 > 0:54:53because Wales struggled but it was hot in Cairns. They did

0:54:53 > 0:54:56exceptionally well, as Kevin said, fronted up defensively and blitz

0:54:56 > 0:54:59them and the Italians were not great because they were put under

0:54:59 > 0:55:02pressure. Tomorrow is a different kettle of fish, the environment is

0:55:02 > 0:55:07different, the crowd is different, going to the ground is different. It

0:55:07 > 0:55:12is just totally out of their comfort zone, OK? They will really have to

0:55:12 > 0:55:15front up, they will have to kick the ball a bit more, field position and

0:55:15 > 0:55:18also they will have do front up because Papua New Guinea play

0:55:18 > 0:55:23exactly the same as the Pacific Islanders. They used to be slightly

0:55:23 > 0:55:28smaller but now with weights and everything, a lot of them play in

0:55:28 > 0:55:31the NRL, I think they start as favourites tomorrow. It will be one

0:55:31 > 0:55:36hell of a game.My sense is, one thing we saw last week that we have

0:55:36 > 0:55:40not seen from a Papua New Guinea team in the past is how controlled

0:55:40 > 0:55:43and composed they were. In the past, when they have got on the front

0:55:43 > 0:55:45foot, they've loosened up their style of play but like New Zealand

0:55:45 > 0:55:48today, they are very professional now.

0:55:48 > 0:55:50Also tomorrow, Mark's former Sheffield coach John Kear leads

0:55:50 > 0:55:53Wales into their next game against Fiji after a tough start

0:55:53 > 0:55:57against Papua New Guinea.

0:55:57 > 0:56:01We are looking now forward to the contest on Sunday against Fiji,

0:56:01 > 0:56:06where we start at 50-1 underdogs, so we really are the underdogs as

0:56:06 > 0:56:11perceived by the media in general but especially the media perhaps in

0:56:11 > 0:56:14Australia. They don't see us as viable opposition for the team that

0:56:14 > 0:56:20we are playing at the weekend. You know, if you look at our

0:56:20 > 0:56:22performances, Papua New Guinea might see some merit in that because we're

0:56:22 > 0:56:27coming up against Jarryd Hayne 's, against the NRL top scorer,

0:56:27 > 0:56:34Punivalu, and obviously, another star player from Wests Tigers. We're

0:56:34 > 0:56:41coming up against an absolute quality and are in good form. The

0:56:41 > 0:56:45kick and in they go for number three!Any professional athlete or

0:56:45 > 0:56:49anyone involved in elite sport, you don't want to be told you are not

0:56:49 > 0:56:54that good. It is bound to upset you and motivate you. Obviously, we will

0:56:54 > 0:57:00see what happens on Sunday but I'm certainly expecting a vast, vast

0:57:00 > 0:57:03step up in performance. The perceptions of our group are not

0:57:03 > 0:57:06very high the minute. It is up to us to attempt to change that and it

0:57:06 > 0:57:10could be the performance on Sunday evening that I believe will go some

0:57:10 > 0:57:11way towards that.

0:57:11 > 0:57:16He is the master of motivation, John Kear. But a bit like Scotland, are

0:57:16 > 0:57:20we asking an awful lot of Wales? Yes, exactly the same, looking at

0:57:20 > 0:57:23where these players are playing, the level of competition, and they come

0:57:23 > 0:57:28up against NRL players, they got battered in Papua New Guinea, they

0:57:28 > 0:57:31have enjoyed it but now you go straight to Townsville, and it is

0:57:31 > 0:57:35hot and you are playing against a big side again. It has been a big

0:57:35 > 0:57:40ask for Wales and Scotland. If they had a different group, maybe with

0:57:40 > 0:57:45France with Lebanon, it might have been a bit easier but you know,

0:57:45 > 0:57:48they've walked into the eye of the storm. It is not going to get any

0:57:48 > 0:57:52easier tomorrow for Wales.Do we need to put more development into

0:57:52 > 0:57:56Scotland and Wales? They don't seem to have pushed on from the World Cup

0:57:56 > 0:58:00in terms of developing the game in Scotland and Wales.I think all the

0:58:00 > 0:58:05home nations need to be developed more. Something it has highlighted

0:58:05 > 0:58:08to me is the strength of Scotland and Wales this time. Jonathan

0:58:08 > 0:58:12mentioned it but the number of Super League players and NRL players that

0:58:12 > 0:58:16have dropped out of these squads mean they go in pretty depleted and

0:58:16 > 0:58:20they are up against it. Fiji, you know, we talked before about

0:58:20 > 0:58:23possibly meeting Tonga down the track or possibly making the

0:58:23 > 0:58:29semifinals themselves, you know, with players like Jarryd Hayne,

0:58:29 > 0:58:35Ashton Sims from over at Warrington. They know how to win big games and

0:58:35 > 0:58:39play well for Fiji and it is a tough ask for Wales.May the rugby league

0:58:39 > 0:58:45missed a beat in the 95 World Cup where we had a massive World Cup,

0:58:45 > 0:58:50got to the semifinal, lots of ex-Rugby union players who made

0:58:50 > 0:58:54their name in rugby league and people talked to me about the 95

0:58:54 > 0:58:57game against Samoa at the vetch Field. It was one of the toughest

0:58:57 > 0:59:01games I've ever played in but it caught the imagination. It will be

0:59:01 > 0:59:05difficult because Super League is in England, attracting maybe be well

0:59:05 > 0:59:07sure Scottish players to develop international quality players

0:59:07 > 0:59:11because rugby union now has got a lot of money, it is always going to

0:59:11 > 0:59:14be tough for rugby league because they need to focus on Super League

0:59:14 > 0:59:18and they need to focus on England and then maybe coming from the

0:59:18 > 0:59:21international game, then they need to come you know, put money into

0:59:21 > 0:59:26Wales and Scotland but it is always, now we are seeing the Pacific

0:59:26 > 0:59:30Islands benefiting but they are benefiting from the NRL because the

0:59:30 > 0:59:34players are playing in the NRL and hopefully after the World Cup, more

0:59:34 > 0:59:38money will go into, you know, developing players that play for

0:59:38 > 0:59:44Fiji, Samoa and Tonga. And they progress in the NRL with the Pacific

0:59:44 > 0:59:48island nations, started ten, 12, 15 years ago, the seeds were sown, they

0:59:48 > 0:59:53started a presence in the NRL from the islands and then from that, the

0:59:53 > 0:59:57interest became more, opportunities to live the lifestyle from children

0:59:57 > 1:00:02and identifying the tile and -- talent and pulling it through.

1:00:05 > 1:00:07You can see highlights from all Sunday's games

1:00:07 > 1:00:08tomorrow at 4pm on BBC Two.

1:00:08 > 1:00:10I'll be alongside Iestyn Harris, Andrew Henderson and Jamie

1:00:10 > 1:00:12Jones-Buchanan for that one.

1:00:12 > 1:00:20And if American football is your thing, join Mark Chapman

1:00:20 > 1:00:24with Osi and Jason for The NFL Show tonight at 11.50 on BBC ONe.

1:00:24 > 1:00:26England Coach Wayne Bennett said he wasn't too concerned

1:00:26 > 1:00:29about their defeat to Australia but a win was a must

1:00:29 > 1:00:32against the lowest-ranked team in the competition,

1:00:32 > 1:00:33Lebanon was a must.

1:00:33 > 1:00:35From Sydney, your commentators are Brian Noble, Ian Millward

1:00:35 > 1:00:38and our rugby league correspondent, Dave Woods.

1:00:40 > 1:00:49It's not a typical spring evening tonight. It is more like summer in

1:00:49 > 1:00:54Sidcup than summer in Sydney. But that might suit England. They are

1:00:54 > 1:00:57looking to improve on what was generally acclaimed as a good, solid

1:00:57 > 1:01:02first hit out against the Australians last week. Well, England

1:01:02 > 1:01:08with a couple of late changes. Stefan Ratchford starting in place

1:01:08 > 1:01:15of the injured Jonny Lomax and George Williams comes into the fore

1:01:15 > 1:01:20as well. The halfs very much the powerhouse, the talent group of that

1:01:20 > 1:01:36Lebanon side. Moses and Bilal Maarbani. Watch out for Tim Mannah.

1:01:36 > 1:01:41Hodgson. An appeal to his left. Dancing away and keeping it alive.

1:01:41 > 1:01:52The pass was a little loose. Currie. We know he has got pace to burn.

1:01:52 > 1:01:58It's back with Graham. He has carried the ball early in this game,

1:01:58 > 1:02:06James Graham. Hodgson is playing in and around...I agree. Here they go.

1:02:06 > 1:02:12It's going to be Watkins who scores the opening try. Kallum Watkins,

1:02:12 > 1:02:18quick hands, from the English. It was Ratchford's pass that set them

1:02:18 > 1:02:22free at the very last, but the Lebanese defence was already

1:02:22 > 1:02:28stretched and England get their early score. So those Lebanese fans

1:02:28 > 1:02:33just behind. Their passion has not been doused. They are here for the

1:02:33 > 1:02:52fun. That was a terrific.The Lebanese defence will crack.Farah

1:02:52 > 1:03:00going left and Moses and to Kassis. He has his 14th cap. One of the most

1:03:00 > 1:03:07capped Lebanese players in this current side. They find themselves

1:03:07 > 1:03:14with 18 minutes gone. Less than ten away. Oh, there is a dive and Kassis

1:03:14 > 1:03:20is going to claim that. I would be very surprised if referee Ben Taylor

1:03:20 > 1:03:27wasn't going to the screen here, but they've already started the party.

1:03:27 > 1:03:31That adds to the feeling of celebration because on the field,

1:03:31 > 1:03:38Ben Taylor gives the try. What does Phil say?The English players look

1:03:38 > 1:03:42like they have conceded. They know if they have ground it. That's a

1:03:42 > 1:03:46try. One hand. Downward motion. Hand on the ball. They know the con

1:03:46 > 1:03:56qepss, England.Nick Kassis is a try scoring hero for Lebanon. So Moses

1:03:56 > 1:04:02look to go bring the scores level. He has put it where it needs to be.

1:04:02 > 1:04:09It's 6-6 with very nearly 19 minutes played. You would be over the moon

1:04:09 > 1:04:16if you were Brad Fittler. They have created opportunities for England.

1:04:16 > 1:04:22England had the majority of the ball.England are in trouble here.

1:04:22 > 1:04:34They are being tested anyway. 6-6. Takes it in again. He made his debut

1:04:34 > 1:04:39in the NRL Twal. There is a slip in defence. That's the last thing you

1:04:39 > 1:04:42need when Mitchell Moses has the ball in his hands, having a look.

1:04:42 > 1:04:56Seeing what's on. Mitchell Moses stretches the legs.Wow.

1:04:58 > 1:05:07Robinson held up. Five away. Leech is in there. They will need a kick.

1:05:07 > 1:05:13It's not a good kick. Well, it was almost a good kick in the end, but

1:05:13 > 1:05:18the catch by Watkins turns it into England's favour.It was a

1:05:18 > 1:05:25competition for the ball. It was a Lebanon player on his way back.

1:05:25 > 1:05:28Look, I don't think they have got the skill or the speed to beat

1:05:28 > 1:05:31England, but they are dangerous on their last tackle. Kicks are

1:05:31 > 1:05:35on-the-spot. They are going to have to run people off the ball, England,

1:05:35 > 1:05:39because it is a dangerous time on that last tackle when they are down

1:05:39 > 1:05:44that end of the park. What's Wayne Bennett thinking at the moment? He

1:05:44 > 1:05:49will be disappointed. He keeps everything simple, Wayne. He will be

1:05:49 > 1:05:51saying your completions are all right, and I want better execution

1:05:51 > 1:05:54on that right. I want your timing better and he wants to acknowledge a

1:05:54 > 1:05:59bit and if you can't get your timing, adjust to the ruckYes, that

1:05:59 > 1:06:06little bit of adjustment in reaction to what the defenders are doing. It

1:06:06 > 1:06:10is sweeped away by Widdop. McGillvary comes back on the inside

1:06:10 > 1:06:16and there is a huge corridor of opportunity waiting for him.

1:06:16 > 1:06:23Jermaine McGillvary scores again in an England shirt and England lead

1:06:23 > 1:06:30again 24 minutes into a nervy game. It's that right-hand side again. It

1:06:30 > 1:06:38starts with O'Loughlin. This is what I want to see O'Loughlin do, run the

1:06:38 > 1:06:46ball and then McGillvary. Here is Widdop with what should be a simple

1:06:46 > 1:06:50kick. Just to the right. The referee has stopped the clock. Widdop is not

1:06:50 > 1:06:57taking time. Over it goes. 12-6. England lead now. Hearts thumping

1:06:57 > 1:07:02has settled a little.Wayne Bennett will be thinking I want to us

1:07:02 > 1:07:10disciplined, but I want to see us not concede tries.England in

1:07:10 > 1:07:13possession and looking to spoil Lebanon's party here. Watkins

1:07:13 > 1:07:17searching down the right-hand side. Here is McGillvary cutting back

1:07:17 > 1:07:24inside again. This time Farah has got a hold. Wehbe who is on for the

1:07:24 > 1:07:28interchange bench. I am looking forward to seeing him. He has a step

1:07:28 > 1:07:33change. He has been playing in rugby union. I don't think he has played

1:07:33 > 1:07:38much this year in either club. Here is Bateman. A pass away to Ryan

1:07:38 > 1:07:43Hall. McGillvary on one side and Hall on the other. Two wingers with

1:07:43 > 1:07:49real effect. And Ryan Hall is getting his try scoring momentum up

1:07:49 > 1:07:57and running again as long as the try is given.I think he wants to check

1:07:57 > 1:08:02back for instruction. I can't see how it could be strouks at all. He

1:08:02 > 1:08:09is way, way in front. In fact, it has been...Are you sure he's

1:08:09 > 1:08:14looking for obstruction? And oh...That's a separation.

1:08:14 > 1:08:20That's what they're looking at.You have got to regain it before it hits

1:08:20 > 1:08:25the ground and I'm not sure he regains T he has gone try.

1:08:25 > 1:08:31REFEREE:The ball is still on left-hand as far as I can see. I am

1:08:31 > 1:08:37heapy with the decision.Ryan Hall has just made it try number 33 in

1:08:37 > 1:08:41this, his 34th, test appearance. O'Loughlin is the architect in

1:08:41 > 1:08:45chief. He goes from one side of the field to Bateman and gives the ball.

1:08:45 > 1:08:49He has done the right thing. Give the ball to Ryan Hall. That close to

1:08:49 > 1:09:02the line and he will finish like that. There is Wehbe. He has had the

1:09:02 > 1:09:10ball stolen. No, he has lost it. Jason Wehbe. He had it knocked out

1:09:10 > 1:09:17and every Lebanese fan in the ground is blowing up.He is a former junior

1:09:17 > 1:09:24is Jason Wehbe. Here they come, blasting forward.

1:09:24 > 1:09:32Here is Hodgson. A really pertinent point that Ian

1:09:32 > 1:09:35makes about the England benchle we are beginning to see that.Oh, there

1:09:35 > 1:09:41is a gap. There is a gap and there is a try for Ben Currie and he opens

1:09:41 > 1:09:47his try scoring account for England. Debut last week when he played

1:09:47 > 1:09:49against Australia, second cap tonight and he scores his first

1:09:49 > 1:09:58international try. Gareth Widdop who spent the last

1:09:58 > 1:10:03eight or nine years living in Australia when his family emigrated

1:10:03 > 1:10:07here. He is having time off from his club season and before he joined up

1:10:07 > 1:10:14with England, he had two big tattoos on his chest.Currie has to hold his

1:10:14 > 1:10:17line and let Hodgson get there and it gives them an open space to run

1:10:17 > 1:10:26through.It's going to be a kick here from Farah. McGillvary has a

1:10:26 > 1:10:32look. A good kick. McGillvary has got some work to do. A decent chase.

1:10:32 > 1:10:42McGillvary tries to run over the top Wehbe.A good start from Lebanon. A

1:10:42 > 1:10:48good kick. He has to retrieve 15 years. There is a scuffle on here.A

1:10:48 > 1:10:55bit of a stash as they say. What's he seen here? Farah and McGillvary

1:10:55 > 1:11:01in the first instance. The referee by committee here, I think, because

1:11:01 > 1:11:04the referee is asking if there was anything that his partners on the

1:11:04 > 1:11:09touchline have seen. Farah has pointed to his arm, he's not happy

1:11:09 > 1:11:16with something here. He is alleged a bite by Jermaine McGillvary. Farah

1:11:16 > 1:11:20has put his hand in McGillvary's face. Is there evidence there of a

1:11:20 > 1:11:30bite by Jermaine McGillvary? He has put it on review, they will have a

1:11:30 > 1:11:40look at that in a week. England have possession, bringing it forward.

1:11:40 > 1:11:45Hodgson out of dummy half. Whitehead putting in the effort. One of

1:11:45 > 1:11:50several NRL based players, of course, this English side. He place

1:11:50 > 1:11:56with Canberra and Walmsley now taking it on. Hodgson again. Another

1:11:56 > 1:12:00Canberra player. Here is Graham. Oh, the ball split them here. Burgess

1:12:00 > 1:12:04with a charge down the middle. He's not thinking about the pass, he's

1:12:04 > 1:12:12thinking about the try! Big brother Sam loves the moment. George was

1:12:12 > 1:12:18looking on, but it's Thomas of that family who celebrates the try. It's

1:12:18 > 1:12:22like a triangle of Burgesses all enjoying that moment, but it's Tom's

1:12:22 > 1:12:27glory. His second try in his international career.Well, what a

1:12:27 > 1:12:31ball from James Graham. A push from Tom Burgess, he runs over the

1:12:31 > 1:12:41full-back. He has support either side. No way, Jose there, is for me!

1:12:41 > 1:12:49A chance here. Skilfully enough. 28-6. England lead.Graham didn't

1:12:49 > 1:12:55get flustered. Played short. Read the situation so well. Nice pass.

1:12:55 > 1:12:59He's through. He's thinking, "I think I have got this left

1:12:59 > 1:13:07footstep."Sam loves it. What does George think about it? Well, he has

1:13:07 > 1:13:14got the headgear on too and he loves it tool. It is a real fanaticism

1:13:14 > 1:13:17that follows this Lebanese side. We went to one of the fans events and

1:13:17 > 1:13:28it was a really good night. Moses and out towards - and it has gone

1:13:28 > 1:13:33out of play.It is hard to see what happened. They go to the fringes and

1:13:33 > 1:13:38Luke Gale gets his hand on the ball there which he has to do to stop the

1:13:38 > 1:13:43ball from the inside play.It is a real test here for England. A real

1:13:43 > 1:13:47test for England. Back-to-back sets. They have to defend on their own

1:13:47 > 1:13:55line virtually. Feeling the heat on a cool night in Sydney.

1:13:55 > 1:14:02There is the feed. Here it comes. First effort is by Wehbe. 5 away.

1:14:02 > 1:14:07Lebanon with 5 more tackles to come. Lichaa, throws inside to Farah.

1:14:07 > 1:14:19Farah back to Moses again. Now it is Doueihi. There is another 4 tackles

1:14:19 > 1:14:30to come. Lichaa. Back with Farah. Now it's Twal. Searches one way and

1:14:30 > 1:14:35searches the other. England's defence remains robust. Lichaa to

1:14:35 > 1:14:40Farah. The chip, McGillvary has it read. He might have tackled his man

1:14:40 > 1:14:47in the air. The referee has allowed play on anyway. Kassis waits inside

1:14:47 > 1:14:54for Moses. It is a big heavy carry by a big, heavy fella. Mamary. Last

1:14:54 > 1:14:59play. The referee has got his arm in the air. They will be looking for

1:14:59 > 1:15:11creativity. A big pass from Farah. Moses. He puts a skip on. Wehbe will

1:15:11 > 1:15:23claim the try. The referee is going to need a second view.

1:15:23 > 1:15:26REFEREE:So we are looking for sufficient evidence that he did

1:15:26 > 1:15:30ground the ball. I think we're got it there. If you take that back, we

1:15:30 > 1:15:34can pause that with the ball on the floor.I think that's a try. That's

1:15:34 > 1:15:39a try.Well, I think this is a moment that's going on Jason Wehbe's

1:15:39 > 1:15:46show reel. He has got a try! He has got a try! And Lebanon are into

1:15:46 > 1:15:53double figures.Just gets on the outside of his defender, does Wehbe.

1:15:53 > 1:15:56Bateman on his haunches again which gives him the running opportunity

1:15:56 > 1:16:03and the ability to score.Tom Burgess the only England try scorer

1:16:03 > 1:16:10in this second half is the man who takes it in. Here comes Walmsley.

1:16:10 > 1:16:15And the cork came out of the bottle with that Watkins try in the ninth

1:16:15 > 1:16:20minute. We were expecting real spakle, but a little flat and warm

1:16:20 > 1:16:25the England performance. Can they add fizz right at the very end here?

1:16:25 > 1:16:29Ratchford is in at dummy half. Williams with a pass to Watkins. He

1:16:29 > 1:16:34was quick away. McGillvary is over, but guess what? It's a forward pass,

1:16:34 > 1:16:39I think, he has given in the build up here.

1:16:39 > 1:16:45Watkins' final ball. Well, it's not going to matter in terms of the

1:16:45 > 1:16:51outcome, but it does matter in terms of what the scoreline looks like.

1:16:51 > 1:16:56They have lost the ball. It's picked up by Widdop so England get another

1:16:56 > 1:17:00chance to add something at the end of this game. 20 seconds left to

1:17:00 > 1:17:06play. Ratchford in at dummy half. Walmsley back on the field. The

1:17:06 > 1:17:09wrecking ball effect from him attempted. Ratchford is here again.

1:17:09 > 1:17:14Squeezes it to that right-hand side. Williams looking for the step. Three

1:17:14 > 1:17:19getting around him. Another one comes flying in over the top.

1:17:19 > 1:17:23Stopping him in his tracks. Ratchford again. Last couple of

1:17:23 > 1:17:28seconds. This is the last play. Widdop is going for a drop goal and

1:17:28 > 1:17:33he puts it over. One point to finish the game. I think the referee has

1:17:33 > 1:17:37given it. 29-10. England have won. It is a win. That's what they

1:17:37 > 1:17:41needed, but was it quite the performance that they needed?

1:17:42 > 1:17:47We was good in the first-half. I thought we completed really well.

1:17:47 > 1:17:51Probably too many times when ge got on their line, we gifted them

1:17:51 > 1:17:56possession and gave away a couple of penalties which gave them a couple

1:17:56 > 1:18:00of piggy backs down our end. I was happy with the win.We hung in

1:18:00 > 1:18:06there. Things weren't going our way. We are a team of park footballers

1:18:06 > 1:18:09pretty much and to compete for 80 minutes against the world-class

1:18:09 > 1:18:15teams, an outstanding effort. I can't praise my boys enough.Didn't

1:18:15 > 1:18:19finish the game off. Lost our way a little bit. Patches where we were

1:18:19 > 1:18:24good, but patches where we were off with the ball and a little bit

1:18:24 > 1:18:30disappointing. We got a win and we are off and running. An on field

1:18:30 > 1:18:34allegation, do you want to make a comment?Not really. I reacted to

1:18:34 > 1:18:38what happened. It's pretty clear for everyone to see on the replay.

1:18:38 > 1:18:48That's all I will say.

1:18:49 > 1:18:54Let's clear that up? Was it a bite? He has a gum shield in and he

1:18:54 > 1:18:58doesn't seem to open his mouth. I think it's pathetic. He has a fore

1:18:58 > 1:19:02arm in his face, what are you supposed to do sometimes? Sometimes

1:19:02 > 1:19:06you can't breathe as well, you have got to open your mouth to breathe. I

1:19:06 > 1:19:11just find it an odd thing to say. I didn't see a mark. I can't clearly

1:19:11 > 1:19:16see a mark there and then ten minutes later he is chatting and

1:19:16 > 1:19:19saying how nice he was and then he goes and says, "I don't want to make

1:19:19 > 1:19:24a comment and then goes on to make a comment. He should just have shut

1:19:24 > 1:19:29his mouth and he talked too much in the game. I don't like that kind of

1:19:29 > 1:19:37thing. If someone bites you, right, your instinct is to smack him. You

1:19:37 > 1:19:41shouldn't bite anyone. That's the point I'm making. You're in such a

1:19:41 > 1:19:46shock if you're bitten, the reaction is you just hit him. Although and

1:19:46 > 1:19:51then gu look. It's just sad that we're talking about it.Calm

1:19:51 > 1:19:57downment calm down. England's performance it felt a bit... The

1:19:57 > 1:20:01second half, it just didn't get going, did it?I think Brian Noble

1:20:01 > 1:20:06summed it up pretty well when he used the word, "Clunky." Look, we

1:20:06 > 1:20:11got the job done and we didn't have to be nine out of ten today. It was

1:20:11 > 1:20:15important we build ourselves and we build back into this tournament and

1:20:15 > 1:20:21we had to get a win today. The baggage from last week's performance

1:20:21 > 1:20:23from Australia, emotionally and mentally we invested so much into

1:20:23 > 1:20:26that game. It wasn't where we wanted it to be today, but like said, we

1:20:26 > 1:20:30got the job done. We know we need to improve. We know we need to be

1:20:30 > 1:20:34better.Where is the room for improvement? Look at this and tell

1:20:34 > 1:20:39us what needs to improve? Some of our last play options and also we

1:20:39 > 1:20:45need to be a threat right across the field with our attacking shapes. At

1:20:45 > 1:20:49the minute we're right-side dominant with Whitehead, Widdop and Watkins

1:20:49 > 1:20:57as opposed to our left edge which was bay man, Gale and ben Currie. So

1:20:57 > 1:21:00very inexperienced and probably less dominant on this stage. We need to

1:21:00 > 1:21:04be a threat across-the-board and at the minute we are not providing

1:21:04 > 1:21:08enough options for each other.I think having played at international

1:21:08 > 1:21:14level, the voice and the eyes of the side and if you have got O'Loughlin,

1:21:14 > 1:21:18Gale, and Widdop there, OK, I'm not sure what the full-backs role is.

1:21:18 > 1:21:24You have to be wide and create an extra man and finishing moves off.

1:21:24 > 1:21:31That's what they need to work out. Zak Hardaker is not there. He would

1:21:31 > 1:21:37have been out wide making threats to the defensive line. With Lomax, does

1:21:37 > 1:21:41he and Ratchford, they hang about maybe too much in the middle of the

1:21:41 > 1:21:44field. So they have to work that out and say right, we want you as a

1:21:44 > 1:21:48threat to run out wide and create that extra man because they are

1:21:48 > 1:21:51creating opportunities. Maybe they are a little bit too flat and there

1:21:51 > 1:21:54is a couple of forward passes, but those things are the little things

1:21:54 > 1:21:58you can work on so if you work on a few little minor adjustments on the

1:21:58 > 1:22:02attack, I think it would be a huge positive performance. So what do you

1:22:02 > 1:22:07want to see happen next week? What do you want Wayne do?I want to see

1:22:07 > 1:22:10more balance, backing up what both these guys are saying. What we saw

1:22:10 > 1:22:16was a lot of right-side attack. We saw it against Australia, and it was

1:22:16 > 1:22:19comfortable right-side attack, what we have not seen is a believable

1:22:19 > 1:22:27left-side unit. I think with Hodgson and John McCain Robby, down the

1:22:27 > 1:22:30right-side, they seem to have it nailed on, although their passing

1:22:30 > 1:22:35was behind the mark, a couple of forward passes to finish off and

1:22:35 > 1:22:39tries being called back. The left-side is offering nothing and

1:22:39 > 1:22:43what they need to do is spend more combination time and putting that

1:22:43 > 1:22:47extra layer which is the full-back getting weight out of the right ear

1:22:47 > 1:22:54lobe and putting it in the left ear lobe.In terms of team changes where

1:22:54 > 1:23:03would you go?I would like to see Roby back in. At half-time, I would

1:23:03 > 1:23:07have liked to have swapped curd curd and Bateman. I would have let John

1:23:07 > 1:23:12move in field more and let him do his typical job that he does at

1:23:12 > 1:23:17Wigan. Other than that, I would stick with Gale and Widdop. It is

1:23:17 > 1:23:22important we get continuity in those two. I think another big positive

1:23:22 > 1:23:29from the game, our defence was good. One line break. Our defence looked

1:23:29 > 1:23:44solid and it was a big positive. You can give him some advice.

1:23:47 > 1:23:50And just to get you right up-to-date, week two opened

1:23:50 > 1:23:51on Friday in Canberra with World Champions

1:23:51 > 1:23:52Australia taking on France.

1:23:56 > 1:23:59They can't stop Wade Graham from that close and Wade Graham gets his

1:23:59 > 1:24:13first try for Australia. Now, Dugan in the half a gap.

1:24:13 > 1:24:22Smith, Slater. He is over. Gets it down. Wade Graham with a double

1:24:22 > 1:24:27inside two minutes and Australia lead by 8. Josh McGuire, last

1:24:27 > 1:24:39tackle. Smith. Kicking for Slater.

1:24:41 > 1:24:53Well done Mark Kheirallah. What play from the Frenchman. That

1:24:53 > 1:25:02will go in the scrapbook. And every French fan in the stadium

1:25:02 > 1:25:10has got excited, pumped.Ten meters away. Smith. Out the back, Munster.

1:25:10 > 1:25:14He's going to get a hat-trick in the first-half. Wade Graham is over.

1:25:14 > 1:25:18That was a little bit too easy. Can you believe it, Wade Graham, a

1:25:18 > 1:25:29hat-trick in the first-half of his first match starting for Australia.

1:25:29 > 1:25:39He really did some damage in the finals playing for Melbourne.

1:25:39 > 1:25:45Looking for support. The dummy, now he puts the foot down. Dugan for the

1:25:45 > 1:25:50corner and that's a sensational King radios try from one end to the

1:25:50 > 1:26:02other.What a try to Josh Dugan. It is now 20-6. They are only ten

1:26:02 > 1:26:20meters away. Josh McGuire and Woods. Four meters away.Munster. Munster

1:26:20 > 1:26:25runs past and Munster scores the try.He is a huge talent. He is

1:26:25 > 1:26:30awkward and hard to tackle and he is very quick as well. 30 up from the

1:26:30 > 1:26:44line. Smith. France are there in numbers. Jullien. Now, Munster,

1:26:44 > 1:26:51Frizell, straight and hard. They couldn't stop, Tyson Frizell was

1:26:51 > 1:27:02like a runaway train, straight over the top.

1:27:03 > 1:27:08Kheirallah had no chance. Slater is on his inside and Billy Slater gets

1:27:08 > 1:27:14the seventh Australia try. Scrap yourselves in, the Aussies are going

1:27:14 > 1:27:25on a rampage. Three quick tries. Smith charged down. Not played says

1:27:25 > 1:27:38the referee. Well, Bill Slater gets it. Unbelievable. And now the

1:27:38 > 1:27:43Kangaroos on the attack. He found touch inside the opposition 20 from

1:27:43 > 1:27:53inside his own 40. Smith. Munster. In the space. He gets himself 4.

1:27:53 > 1:27:59Wade Graham has got 4 tries in a Test Match. Wade Graham has got try

1:27:59 > 1:28:03number 4 to equal the World Cup record. And towards the 30, last

1:28:03 > 1:28:08tackle. They go the short side. Dugan kicking and Kheirallah has

1:28:08 > 1:28:12slipped and the ball will bounce beautifully for Cameron Munster to

1:28:12 > 1:28:18get himself a double. The Aussies within two of a half century. Josh

1:28:18 > 1:28:31Dugan down the touchline and Cameron Munster gets two on debut.

1:28:32 > 1:28:38Munster, Josh McGuire, and Marginet and Josh McGuire. MacLean. Long

1:28:38 > 1:28:46ball. For the corner and scores. Yaha can't make the tackle and

1:28:46 > 1:28:52Holmes gets himself a try. Australia wins its second match in the rugby

1:28:52 > 1:29:00league World Cup. Ten tries to one. Full-time. Australia 52 has defeated

1:29:00 > 1:29:04France, 6.

1:29:06 > 1:29:08This is how Group A looks.

1:29:08 > 1:29:11Australia sit pretty with England and Lebanon behind on a win apiece.

1:29:11 > 1:29:14England will be hoping a win against France next Sunday will see

1:29:14 > 1:29:17them through behind the World Champions.

1:29:18 > 1:29:20And you can see that game live next week on Sunday morning

1:29:20 > 1:29:23on BBC Two from 9.30am, so please join Mark

1:29:23 > 1:29:24Chapman for that one.

1:29:24 > 1:29:28Thank you to Robbie, Jonathan and Kevin for

1:29:28 > 1:29:30doing the double shift.

1:29:30 > 1:29:32I'll be back tomorrow at 4pm on BBC Two with highlights

1:29:32 > 1:29:36of all Sunday's games.

1:29:36 > 1:29:36of all Sunday's games.

1:29:36 > 1:29:46Until then, from all of us, goodbye. COMMENTATOR: A beautiful ball. This

1:29:46 > 1:29:54is ball play 101. With that try he becomes the leading goal scorer in

1:29:54 > 1:29:58cap kiwis history.Jermaine McGillvary scores again. Burgess

1:29:58 > 1:30:02with a charge down the middle. England have won. It is a win.

1:30:02 > 1:30:04That's what they needed.
