:00:34. > :00:46.Is this the winning try? This is the try that gets the game.

:00:47. > :00:58.He is on the angle. You can tell he's happy. And Saracens have put

:00:59. > :01:08.paid to the pressure. They have won the 20 13th cup -- the 2013 cup.

:01:09. > :01:18.It was a nail-biting finish to the final last year. A representation

:01:19. > :01:21.from Glasgow Warriors this year. Also expect a strong showing from

:01:22. > :01:29.the home side. They are playing for this, the oldest trophy in Sevens

:01:30. > :01:30.rugby. This really is a tournament that has produced some wonderful

:01:31. > :01:51.memories. He's going to make it! The crowd is

:01:52. > :02:55.on its feet. Some fantastic names and magic

:02:56. > :03:04.memories. Who will write their names in the history books in the Melrose

:03:05. > :03:10.Sevens 2014? The town turns out in force as ever. It is a carnival

:03:11. > :03:14.atmosphere here. Fancy dress isn't compulsory but it is expected for

:03:15. > :03:20.many. Rock stars and the Holland Road Trotters are here but also some

:03:21. > :03:29.world-class rugby plays. The USA Tigers and the Glasgow Warriors. It

:03:30. > :03:41.is a very strong Warriors team. And the fans will look for dissing Jones

:03:42. > :03:45.and Matawalu. This man can run 100 yards very quickly. He is delighted

:03:46. > :03:50.to be here as I. It's a beautiful day at the Greenyards with the sun

:03:51. > :03:54.shining, and we've seen some amazing rugby already. We are on air till

:03:55. > :03:59.7pm. Alongside me, two guys who have played and commented for a few years

:04:00. > :04:05.in this competition, Scott Hastings and Andy Nichol. This is just such a

:04:06. > :04:12.joyous place, it started here, it is all about the Greenyards. It's the

:04:13. > :04:18.highlight of the Scottish rugby calendar. It is not just an amateur

:04:19. > :04:22.tournament, it is transferred to the professional year. It is amateurs

:04:23. > :04:25.play against the professionals. Over the last few years, the guest teams

:04:26. > :04:30.have been the strong side and have gone on to win it, and I don't think

:04:31. > :04:33.there will be a difference today. We will see some great rugby this

:04:34. > :04:39.afternoon. Andy, you've picked up this cup for your team, great

:04:40. > :04:43.memories of coming here, I'm sure. My mother and father used to come

:04:44. > :04:52.down here, we used to support the teams. We probably didn't watch much

:04:53. > :04:56.rugby, but it was such a pilgrimage to come here and win the

:04:57. > :05:00.tournament, in 1996. Probably that winning medal was probably one of my

:05:01. > :05:08.most prized possessions in my rugby career. It is a fine thing indeed.

:05:09. > :05:16.These guys are world-class names. The fastest man in world rugby, lots

:05:17. > :05:23.of people excited to see Isles. He is in the pink, he has got speed,

:05:24. > :05:30.but has he got a turn and a step? Yes, my goodness me. So fast. Hang

:05:31. > :05:35.on a second. Heavens above. That is not so good. And then carrying the

:05:36. > :05:42.ball in one hand. His team-mates are saying, never mind. I can imagine

:05:43. > :05:47.the crowd giving him hell. He had all the time in the world. But you

:05:48. > :05:51.have to put the ball down. If he gets over the try line today, I will

:05:52. > :05:56.guarantee you will see him put the ball down quickly. We have seen so

:05:57. > :06:01.many people here, so many players, but that try, the referees are

:06:02. > :06:06.suggesting perhaps that should have been allowed, what do you think? If

:06:07. > :06:10.we went to the television replay, we have the benefit of watching it five

:06:11. > :06:18.times. The ball doesn't have to be under control. The ball was knocked

:06:19. > :06:24.forward. You could award it as a try. 99% of referees would have

:06:25. > :06:28.disallowed that. Would you agree? Yes, but I am so excited to see him

:06:29. > :06:34.play. He's a great signing for Glasgow. He has been signed for the

:06:35. > :06:39.fifteens, but with the pace he has, he is tailor-made for this game. He

:06:40. > :06:45.will be electric this afternoon. We have a BT to show you in a couple of

:06:46. > :06:49.minutes. I spoke to Isles and asked not only about coming here to the

:06:50. > :06:51.Greenyards but also about his time in Scotland and how he is enjoying

:06:52. > :06:55.it so far. You have been in Scotland for a few

:06:56. > :07:00.weeks, have you been enjoying the experience? Has been a blessing with

:07:01. > :07:06.great team-mates, and I am walking around, seeing the place, and it's

:07:07. > :07:10.fun. And, of course, playing the Melrose Sevens today, the home of

:07:11. > :07:16.Sevens rugby, were you aware of Melrose as a place and the history

:07:17. > :07:22.of the game? Not at all. My team it's invited me on it, and I see how

:07:23. > :07:26.big and important it is. Obviously, you've played Sevens rugby in the

:07:27. > :07:29.USA, what do you expect today? The same, it is going to be fun,

:07:30. > :07:35.exciting, tough opponents, but we have a great team, and we will share

:07:36. > :07:39.what we can do. A lot of people are excited you have signed for Glasgow

:07:40. > :07:43.and we have seen you play over the last few weeks. Do you feel the

:07:44. > :07:50.weight of that expectation? I do, but I stay humble. I know what I can

:07:51. > :07:55.do, if I work hard, work towards the team, and we work together, it'll be

:07:56. > :07:59.easy. Have you been impressed by the skill levels of your team-mates?

:08:00. > :08:05.Yes, very good, very skilful guys. They have great talent. You are the

:08:06. > :08:14.fastest guy, who was closest to you? I don't know. I think there is

:08:15. > :08:19.somebody from an American team. But some of the Scottish players are

:08:20. > :08:23.fast themselves. We have Lee Jones, and other guys as well. We will see.

:08:24. > :08:31.Look forward to seeing you this afternoon. Thank you, God bless.

:08:32. > :08:38.Action got under way at 11:30am, here is round one so far. Stirling

:08:39. > :08:45.County are out, Stewarts Melville also out. Dundee playing with three

:08:46. > :08:49.young schoolboys were knocked out. Howick, it was a comfortable win for

:08:50. > :08:58.them. So far in round two, Jedforest

:08:59. > :09:22.against Ayr, that is ongoing. Here is a fellow who can run 100

:09:23. > :09:30.metres in 10.13. He would have made the semifinals of the Olympics with

:09:31. > :09:34.that kind of time. Up against the boys from Currie, they couldn't

:09:35. > :09:39.catch him. He held the ball into hands, not bad at all.

:09:40. > :09:51.Trinbago, a development side, let's join that match live.

:09:52. > :10:01.This is the match on. We will join our commentary team. The sartorial

:10:02. > :10:08.elegance of Bill Johnson and you we're. The Trinbago side, good to

:10:09. > :10:13.see Melrose always having teams coming, invitational side and

:10:14. > :10:29.developmental sides as well. It is hugely important. You get into the

:10:30. > :10:33.rhythm. All the guest sides come in into the second round for the first

:10:34. > :10:36.answer sometimes it is a bit a risk. These guys might not have played a

:10:37. > :10:42.lot of rugby. It's all about getting into your rhythm, playing. Lung

:10:43. > :10:50.buster, trying to get the heartbeat up. But four of this team were out,

:10:51. > :10:54.this Trinbago team, they were out for the pre-qualifying competition.

:10:55. > :10:58.So the players have experience but this is all about building the game

:10:59. > :11:06.in the islands. And they have been put under pressure by the

:11:07. > :11:12.Boroughmuir team. Just like Currie work by the Glasgow team. The

:11:13. > :11:24.Apprentice just like the Currie team. You need handling, passing and

:11:25. > :11:28.speed. You need people to win the ball, first and foremost, which is

:11:29. > :11:34.the balance that the Warriors have. They have some physical forwards

:11:35. > :11:46.upfront, and then you've got the playmaker, Matawalu. And Bennett, he

:11:47. > :11:51.was outstanding for Scotland in the tournament a couple of weeks ago.

:11:52. > :11:55.They have a good balance. We don't know much about Trinbago, and that

:11:56. > :11:59.is the beauty of Melrose Sevens. You don't know how they're going to

:12:00. > :12:03.perform. You can see the Boroughmuir scrum, they've got the front foot.

:12:04. > :12:13.This will be a very tough game for the guest side. This was always a

:12:14. > :12:15.amateur events, will it enhance the competition by bringing in some of

:12:16. > :12:23.the pro side 's? The invitational sides, they have taken great scalps.

:12:24. > :12:29.I remember barbarians getting knocked out first round. But I see

:12:30. > :12:34.the Gulf between amateurs and professionals. Clermont Auvergne,

:12:35. > :12:40.they were desperately disappointed to be beaten by Saracens last year.

:12:41. > :12:45.I think Warriors will also come to the fore. But you never know, one

:12:46. > :12:49.mistake, one interception try, and if the Melrose crowd get behind the

:12:50. > :12:55.underdogs, you never know, that belief system might get in. And

:12:56. > :13:03.Melrose love the underdogs. And it has got wider because of the

:13:04. > :13:11.professionals. The crowd love tries. The crowd celebrate every

:13:12. > :13:18.try. The way that rugby has gone, a good professional team will eat earn

:13:19. > :13:23.amateur team all day long. -- will beat a parameter team all day long.

:13:24. > :13:28.At the very top level, it's all about the physicality. This is where

:13:29. > :13:36.Glasgow and Clermont Auvergne will be so much better. That is a very

:13:37. > :13:40.good win against Boroughmuir against the Trinbago side. They are through

:13:41. > :13:46.to the quarterfinals. And let's remind ourselves of the previous

:13:47. > :13:51.winners. We mentioned that Saracens won plaster and they won two years

:13:52. > :13:59.ago as well. Three is ago, the home side, Melrose, they actually won

:14:00. > :14:04.here. Every home team wants to win at the home ground and that was a

:14:05. > :14:09.great win. We all sat hit and we were overjoyed. But Saracens are not

:14:10. > :14:13.here this year. When you look at this list, it highlights what we

:14:14. > :14:17.been talking about, they are professional sides. The achievement

:14:18. > :14:27.of Melrose in 2011 was astounding, to beat the professional sides, it

:14:28. > :14:36.was outstanding. The University of Johannesburg, they were 24-0 up in

:14:37. > :14:44.the final. I said, you have won this, haven't you? He said, no, we

:14:45. > :14:47.lost in the final when we were 24 - zero up. That highlights the gulf

:14:48. > :14:55.between amateur and professional teams. It would be lovely if any of

:14:56. > :15:01.the Scottish sides one. First up, Herriot 's. They had a good win in

:15:02. > :15:12.the first round against Langholm. Bill Johnstone in the commentary

:15:13. > :15:17.box. Welcome to the commentary box which has a marvellous view of the

:15:18. > :15:27.Greenyards on this perfect day for rugby Sevens. The sun is shining and

:15:28. > :15:35.there is a stiff breeze. This is Zach Pangelinan who is about to get

:15:36. > :15:41.the game underway for the Americans. Melrose have the abbey on the back

:15:42. > :15:57.of their shirts. There is a Braveheart theme. Here go there

:15:58. > :16:04.Heriot's 's. Terry Baker has played great rugby in America look at him

:16:05. > :16:11.go. A lovely run right up the touchline. Careful! In sealed it

:16:12. > :16:21.goes to Zach Pangelinan. Zach Pangelinan gets the touchdown, five

:16:22. > :16:30.-02 USA Tigers. He was taking a risk -- 5-2. This gentleman could be a

:16:31. > :16:40.match for him. That might be the case. Speed is a good ingredient in

:16:41. > :16:45.the Sevens. Here is Zach Pangelinan with the conversion and it goes

:16:46. > :16:54.over. A nice early lead for the Tigers. Look at this, lovely running

:16:55. > :16:59.up the touchline, almost casual. I would expect them to put it in. They

:17:00. > :17:12.are confident about where it is going. Well done from Zach

:17:13. > :17:17.Pangelinan. The drop kick is easier. The drop kick has gone straight out

:17:18. > :17:23.and that will be a free kick for Heriot's. Graham Wilson will take

:17:24. > :17:31.this. Hugely experienced player, Graham Wilson. Colin Goudie, back

:17:32. > :17:42.out to Michael maltman. Look at him go. In he goes, handing off Zach

:17:43. > :17:48.Pangelinan on the way. Heriot's have got back into things with a lovely

:17:49. > :18:02.try. Michael was the scorer. Heriot's will be pleased with that.

:18:03. > :18:06.Tigers will be annoyed with that. When you see teams throw the ball

:18:07. > :18:13.around like that, it inspires the opposition to get back into it and

:18:14. > :18:26.Heriot's have done that. Just wide with the conversion attempt. It is

:18:27. > :18:42.seven - two to the Tigers. There is the squad for Heriot's. The Tigers

:18:43. > :18:52.have a few well-known names. Here is Mike Ziegler. Away goes Zar

:18:53. > :19:00.Lawrence. Look at that lovely pass. Tigers looking very good at this

:19:01. > :19:07.stage. He does well, this is Zach Pangelinan. Now it is Darin Classen.

:19:08. > :19:13.Good run by the Americans. They are building it up, keeping possession.

:19:14. > :19:25.Zar Lawrence again. Baker tries to spin out the tackle. Lovely stuff,

:19:26. > :19:31.moving it along. Here goes 37 Mac Pro, he is chased by Michael

:19:32. > :20:03.Maltman. He cannot get their -- 37 Mac Pro. -- Matt Taylor Howden. They

:20:04. > :20:07.got to the Shanghai final. This team is beginning to find its feet a

:20:08. > :20:15.little bit. You can see that in the way they have strong runners. I like

:20:16. > :20:23.their shirts. Here is Tyler -- Taylor Howden. He gets away from

:20:24. > :20:30.Michael Maltman. You can see the change of direction from Taylor

:20:31. > :20:45.Howden. Here is Wilson for Heriot's. Colin Goudie, such a great

:20:46. > :21:01.player for them over the years. Very nicely from Heriot's. Liam steel. In

:21:02. > :21:08.goes Marie Douglas. This is Liam Steele. He will make it without any

:21:09. > :21:16.bother. This young lad, Liam Steele is the son of a former British Lions

:21:17. > :21:34.winger. There is a bit of pedigree there. Well done to Heriot's there,

:21:35. > :21:43.Liam Steele broke a few tackles there. A well worked try. It makes a

:21:44. > :21:53.very interesting encounter. There is Liam Steele, shrugging off that last

:21:54. > :21:58.tackle. That is strange. You would think their Tigers would be trying

:21:59. > :22:05.to hustle back to get that. Their journey here mates have a bearing

:22:06. > :22:12.against this game. -- might have a bearing. This lad can move well. Out

:22:13. > :22:24.it goes to Zach Pangelinan. A lovely dummy there. Baker Chine to take it

:22:25. > :22:36.one-handed. -- trying to take it. It is half-time already. The pace is

:22:37. > :22:44.great, but you need the ball. Unfortunately a dropped pass there.

:22:45. > :22:50.It is an exciting game. There is Perry Baker. The ball is slightly

:22:51. > :22:55.behind him. He played in the American Football League. He decided

:22:56. > :23:02.to try Rugby Union. That shows you how dangerous he can be. Once he

:23:03. > :23:06.caught the ball, the second time, he was able to use the touchline and

:23:07. > :23:16.get through that little bit of space. 14-12 and four USA Tigers, in

:23:17. > :23:23.that lovely strip, there are Heriot's. They are getting words of

:23:24. > :23:31.wisdom. Heriot's have been doing very well, they were put out of the

:23:32. > :23:35.quarterfinal last year by Saracens. They know their way around the

:23:36. > :23:45.tournament. They have won here several times in the past. It will

:23:46. > :23:53.be a difficult thing to do in the environment today. There are a lot

:23:54. > :23:56.of good sides, professional sides and the difference between Heriot's

:23:57. > :24:02.and the professionals, they have these runners, you can see the USA

:24:03. > :24:08.Tigers have the same sort of runners, but Heriot's are still in

:24:09. > :24:13.this competition. Here is Graham Wilson with the dropout. Lovely

:24:14. > :24:19.sunny conditions. Just what the players and the crowd want. The

:24:20. > :24:26.crowd building here. Seven minutes each way. Zach Pangelinan again.

:24:27. > :24:44.This is at her mother leave out. Perry Baker back in -- Ata Malifa. A

:24:45. > :24:51.great scorer, good support play. The Americans are beginning to find a

:24:52. > :24:58.rhythm. That was nice, that is what people want to see, that

:24:59. > :25:09.interaction. It all came from Perry Baker. He took out two defenders

:25:10. > :25:15.from Heriot's. Zach Pangelinan had little to do except stroll behind

:25:16. > :25:22.the post. They are trying to conserve their energy. Here is the

:25:23. > :25:27.try again, Perry Baker, you can almost sense the alarm bells ringing

:25:28. > :25:37.when he gets the ball. Lovely interplay, a lovely off load by Ata

:25:38. > :25:58.Malifa. He is the playmaker. Back in the action, Colin Goudie and Michael

:25:59. > :26:05.Maltman. They have brought on a bigger player, the Americans. Perry

:26:06. > :26:11.Baker back -- Perry Baker get it and gets the ball away. There is a nice

:26:12. > :26:25.piece of running by: Goudie. Wilson sees the opportunity. A chance now

:26:26. > :26:38.for Liam Steele. This lad, Liam Steele, that is his second try. He

:26:39. > :26:46.has settled into the task. Great pressure from Heriot's. Great

:26:47. > :26:53.pressure from the USA Tigers. A great tackle, they made them make

:26:54. > :27:07.mistakes. A good try by Liam Steele. A good conversion by Graham Wilson.

:27:08. > :27:18.19-21 is the scorer. -- scorer. Temp one have done well to pull the

:27:19. > :27:31.Americans back. -- Heriot's. That is a brilliant take for Heriot's. Marie

:27:32. > :27:38.Douglas did that. -- Murray. Liam Steele again. Good handling by a

:27:39. > :27:53.Heriot's. : Goudie cannot make the corner. --: Goudie. That is Douglas

:27:54. > :28:04.going N. -- going in. That was great played by Goudie. -- great play. I

:28:05. > :28:12.was very impressed. A great charge by Turner. You see Goudie going

:28:13. > :28:20.towards the touchline. Got rid of the ball at the last minute. That

:28:21. > :28:35.puts them into the lead. Douglas is the try scorer. 24-21. The

:28:36. > :28:43.conversion is just wide. Just a scorer between the sides. Tigers are

:28:44. > :28:47.likely to get back into the lead. We talked about the substitution, if

:28:48. > :29:05.you bring on substitutes, you cannot take them off a game. Two minutes

:29:06. > :29:14.left in this game. Palamo has played this kind of football in America. He

:29:15. > :29:18.is round about 18 stones. He can run very quickly as well. You can

:29:19. > :29:37.imagine the damage he can do with the ball.

:29:38. > :29:46.Heriot's beginning to build their confidence now. The Americans are

:29:47. > :29:54.tiring just a little bit. Great piece of running here. This is Chris

:29:55. > :30:02.Mulligan, a youngster, he has scored a vital try for Heriot's. The

:30:03. > :30:07.Edinburgh side go ahead. The build-up to that was very good

:30:08. > :30:16.indeed. It was very good. Very pleased with that himself. Good

:30:17. > :30:20.ripping of the ball. The speed, that is all that it is about. The Tigers

:30:21. > :30:25.didn't react as quickly as they should have done. Graham Wilson has

:30:26. > :30:39.this. It has pulled back away to the left.

:30:40. > :30:45.Eight points between the sides. Into the last-minute of this type. That

:30:46. > :30:50.is quite a vital score. That is eight points difference. The Tigers

:30:51. > :31:02.need more than one score to get back into the lead here. 5-3 tries,

:31:03. > :31:10.Heriot's lead. What can this big man do, Palamo? That was a great

:31:11. > :31:19.off-load. He's got it away now. This is better stuff. This is Eleonora

:31:20. > :31:31.Sports, and he goes all the way. Great score for the Americans. 29-26

:31:32. > :31:34.now. 29-28. Would you believe it? One point between the sides at

:31:35. > :31:46.full-time. Heriot's go through with the the score at 29-28.

:31:47. > :31:53.USA Tigers out of the competition. I'm delighted to say that this

:31:54. > :31:56.Scottish coach joins me. A lot of those professional players dotted

:31:57. > :31:59.around in the other teams, what is the idea behind that? Melrose is a

:32:00. > :32:07.wonderful event. It's a great opportunity for our

:32:08. > :32:12.praise to get some preparation for their tournaments. Building towards

:32:13. > :32:18.the Commonwealth Games as well, such an important year for you. It is

:32:19. > :32:24.massive to have home games. We saw the impact London 2012 had on the

:32:25. > :32:31.nation. And to be part of that, it is unique. It was a wonderful

:32:32. > :32:35.event, and we are looking to build momentum towards Glasgow. And it

:32:36. > :32:44.isn't the easiest group. There are no easy groups. We have had easy

:32:45. > :32:48.income and wealth games in the past. Looking at a pool, you're thinking

:32:49. > :32:56.Canada is a key game, so we need to focus ourselves on getting it right.

:32:57. > :33:13.It is hoick against Galer -- it is how it against Gala.

:33:14. > :33:21.Scott Hastings is on my left. It is fitting we have the Greens of Hawick

:33:22. > :33:29.against the maroon of Gala. What a game. The incredible victory of the

:33:30. > :33:36.Heriot's over the USA Tigers by one point and then one for the locals to

:33:37. > :33:42.watch between Hawick and Gala. That is a huge upset, Heriot's beating

:33:43. > :33:51.the Americans. Hawick art on the attack. -- Hawick are on the attack.

:33:52. > :33:56.It goes to show what an upset can be done. It was all done by good

:33:57. > :34:00.Heriot's pressure. They commanded that possession of the rugby ball,

:34:01. > :34:07.and they put that Tigers team under pressure. You always chasing, and at

:34:08. > :34:12.the moment in this opening minute and a half, Hawick have had a lot of

:34:13. > :34:16.pressure on Gala. And you think they will make it go down the blindside.

:34:17. > :34:27.There is a big wind going down from left to right. Gala have the wind at

:34:28. > :34:32.their backs. This is a very good try for James Johnson, one of the seven

:34:33. > :34:44.stars on display. Of the 12 Scottish squads, 11 are here today. Johnson

:34:45. > :34:49.will really help them out today. He was influential out in Hong Kong

:34:50. > :34:54.when Scotland won the competition. And James Johnson, low centre of

:34:55. > :35:00.gravity, a great work ethic. And once he gets those pistons going, he

:35:01. > :35:08.can break a tackle. The conversion is away. Look at the sun shine. Look

:35:09. > :35:15.at the crowd. It is one of the great locations. All started in 1883. Look

:35:16. > :35:18.at the people enjoying themselves. A hint of a cold breeze, but you

:35:19. > :35:23.couldn't want for anything better. It is a victory painting here with

:35:24. > :35:35.the skills in the background. They are all enjoying these games. The

:35:36. > :35:42.first game kicked off at 1130 AM. We hope you are enjoying this at home.

:35:43. > :35:50.Maybe the USA or in the wrong times! They had so many great players. --

:35:51. > :35:55.maybe the USA were in the wrong time zone. It's actually great for the

:35:56. > :35:59.Scottish teams because they must come here thinking, we've got these

:36:00. > :36:07.great stars to play against, and it was good to see. Andy Nichol said

:36:08. > :36:12.that sometimes having that extra tie mix all the difference. Let's get

:36:13. > :36:24.back to the action. -- makes all the difference.

:36:25. > :36:37.Watch out for Johnstone for Hawick. At the moment, it is five - 04

:36:38. > :36:41.Hawick. Summary good games to come. Cars go Warriors, they were very

:36:42. > :36:46.good early on. Now, here is a big attack.

:36:47. > :37:00.Look at this. Young, the International Sevens star touches

:37:01. > :37:09.down. Yes, he has switched allegiance in the maroon jersey of

:37:10. > :37:14.Gala. Greg was playing in the Hong Kong tens. That was before the

:37:15. > :37:22.Sevens. He was quite outstanding there as well, showing what a strong

:37:23. > :37:27.rugby player he is. They played two seasons ago, the brothers, and they

:37:28. > :37:32.were outstanding. This is Greg Gore, he gets the ball, cuts in, it is a

:37:33. > :37:38.long stride, and they've got real pace. That was one of the reasons

:37:39. > :37:39.that they were put on the contract, Lewis and Greg Gore. And they are

:37:40. > :38:03.showing their skills. -- Gregor. If you think about all the players

:38:04. > :38:17.that have been in this famous green jersey... They have a man over on

:38:18. > :38:21.the left. But as nicely played. -- that is nicely played. And over the

:38:22. > :38:36.line. Lovely try, the continuity of play

:38:37. > :38:37.was evident through James Johnson. He took the ball into contact. The

:38:38. > :38:58.gap was on the outside. And it is good. I thought the flag

:38:59. > :39:04.went up! But it is 12-7 to Hawick. Think of the heritage between these

:39:05. > :39:07.two teams. You think of the great border teams, Hawick and Gala, top

:39:08. > :39:14.of the league, back in the days before professionalism. I don't

:39:15. > :39:19.think the border league is as big as it was. Here in the Sevens they have

:39:20. > :39:30.a chance to get stuck into each other.

:39:31. > :39:38.They are just plain cagey. Dr had a professional contract, they thought

:39:39. > :39:44.he would go all the way at one point. --

:39:45. > :40:01.Hutton. This is nice rugby now. This could be another run-in for

:40:02. > :40:13.Renwick. That is the whistle for half-time. Great covering defence.

:40:14. > :40:20.James Parker, denies that try. The try has been given! So, it wasn't

:40:21. > :40:30.judged to be a knock-on. So, Hawick with a good lead. The half-time

:40:31. > :40:39.whistle has gone. It touched down so, Hawick in the lead, 17-7, and

:40:40. > :40:43.Gala will have to come back. The wind is going right to left. It is a

:40:44. > :40:56.big wind. Hawick have the advantage at half

:40:57. > :41:01.time. The Scotland Sevens coach is still with me. Such a good game,

:41:02. > :41:07.lots of Borders sides playing each other throughout the day. It is a

:41:08. > :41:12.wonderful event. To have that sparkling of international Sevens

:41:13. > :41:17.players amongst the teams as well as the Invitational teams, it is great.

:41:18. > :41:25.You look at the crowd, the weather, it is nice to see Heriot's overturn

:41:26. > :41:29.the USA Tigers. Let's reflect on how big a deal that was, given the

:41:30. > :41:34.players in the USA Tigers team. It was mentioned, Heriot's had played a

:41:35. > :41:44.previous game, that makes the difference. They got a second wind.

:41:45. > :41:52.Some good players in that Heriot's squad. In this game, Hawick against

:41:53. > :41:58.Gala. The sad thing is that the Borders sides are going out, but

:41:59. > :42:00.lots of support for all the sides. People are enjoying themselves,

:42:01. > :42:07.seeing how wonderful the game of Sevens is. In three weeks' time,

:42:08. > :42:12.we've got the event with international teams as well. Thank

:42:13. > :42:16.you. We look forward to it, and we wish all the best at the

:42:17. > :42:20.International 's. We rejoin this match just after half-time.

:42:21. > :42:30.That was a demolition derby. This is Parker. He was on the left wing,

:42:31. > :42:37.flying on the left wing, and he has flown right into the sign. Have a

:42:38. > :42:43.look at this. I think it was the sign. Does that say BBC Scotland?

:42:44. > :42:54.The sign was just minding its own business! Hopefully, he will be all

:42:55. > :43:00.right. He has taken a very bad dunk. That is not funny. That is a strong

:43:01. > :43:04.looking lad, he's been playing well. Left arm, left shoulder strapped up.

:43:05. > :43:10.Parker is OK. He has shown enough pace and mobility. Gala opened up

:43:11. > :43:19.the King of the Sevens last weekend.

:43:20. > :43:37.It is going to be a Hawick throwing. Just back.

:43:38. > :43:59.He has cultural available. He has gone a long way backwards. --

:44:00. > :44:15.Cottrell. Russell. Out to Dodds. A big long pass, Somervell. Good score

:44:16. > :44:38.by Grant Somervell for Gallo. -- map Gala. Great try, but the conversion

:44:39. > :44:49.missed. It is a great game. I had lots of interested parties here.

:44:50. > :45:05.There is my old playing colleague, Peter Dods. An old colleague of mine

:45:06. > :45:15.as well -- map Dodds. The biggest success rate of any international

:45:16. > :45:20.player. The Gala manager. He keeps up and looks to give Cottrell the

:45:21. > :45:27.ball. He slipped it out of his grasp. Mrs the long past. It is

:45:28. > :45:44.intercepted by Craig Robertson -- mrs-macro. -- misses. Great tackle

:45:45. > :45:56.there from James Johnson. Takes all that experience to get back there.

:45:57. > :46:11.There he is. He spoke to me when I was going back to my hotel. He is a

:46:12. > :46:15.good player. Hawick. Johnson. A 5-point game, Hawick with the Win

:46:16. > :46:28.behind them. They could make Gala run. -- win.

:46:29. > :46:45.Here is Rennick. Hutton. That is clever play. Gary Johnson. All these

:46:46. > :46:51.teams are so much better than they used to be at presenting the ball.

:46:52. > :47:02.Everyone has a good technique. That is wrapped up well by Gala. Out it

:47:03. > :47:10.goes to Dodds. Borders teams are fantastic to watch, everything is a

:47:11. > :47:17.competition. Cottrell. This is plenty of space, Keith Davies, back

:47:18. > :47:22.to Cottrell. Look at the conditions, they are perfect. We have been here

:47:23. > :47:30.a few years and the weather is not great, but today, what a brilliant

:47:31. > :47:40.looking place. Full credit to all the staff and volunteers. What a

:47:41. > :47:46.great tie this is, Gala have a real chance. Two minutes left on the

:47:47. > :47:56.clock. They have to scorer and get a conversion. -- score. They Hawick

:47:57. > :48:07.defenders are keeping their men up. This is a good side -- their Hawick

:48:08. > :48:17.defenders. That the. Penalty to Hawick. Hutton keeps the ball in.

:48:18. > :48:25.Gives it inside to Johnson, takes it to Cottrell. He is just short. That

:48:26. > :48:35.is a good tackle. Can Hawick get this ball back. -- can Hawick get

:48:36. > :48:44.this ball back? Can they scorer from here? Could this be the man to do it

:48:45. > :49:02.-- score. It is Grant Sommerville. There will be a scrum to Hawick. One

:49:03. > :49:09.minute left. Here is the tackle. Look at this, you thought time one

:49:10. > :49:18.was going to do it. Gala were able to do it -- Cottrell.

:49:19. > :49:25.30 seconds remaining, all that Hawick have to do is hold onto

:49:26. > :49:33.possession and they have won this. Penalty to Hawick. 15 seconds left.

:49:34. > :49:42.Hawick will take this to the touchline. They may be a bit early.

:49:43. > :49:48.He has blown his whistle early. They must have asked the referee.

:49:49. > :49:59.Full-time then, it is Hawick 17, Gala, 12. Hawick deserved that, it

:50:00. > :50:04.was good play. I felt that Gala had an opportunity to steal that, but

:50:05. > :50:14.they got a bit clustered and did not release the ball out wide. People

:50:15. > :50:21.are enjoying themselves in the sunshine. The next tie is going to

:50:22. > :50:26.be another local derby, these are the ones we come here to watch. We

:50:27. > :50:36.have just seen Hawick and Gala and the next munch -- match will be sell

:50:37. > :50:41.against Melrose. There are the Gala players, they are a bit

:50:42. > :50:45.disconsolate. Let us look at possibly the tackle which might have

:50:46. > :50:51.saved it for a Gala. This is Cottrell, but what a tackle. Look at

:50:52. > :51:04.the turnover. It was Craig Russell with the tackle. That was a great

:51:05. > :51:09.moment. They reckon they will get 10,000 people here today and it will

:51:10. > :51:15.get bigger. Later on you will see Glasgow Warriors who look as if they

:51:16. > :51:20.can demolish anyone. This is Melrose on the right against Selkirk on the

:51:21. > :51:31.left. Melrose have the wind behind them. Another border derby. They are

:51:32. > :51:43.little competitions within the main competition. That is the number

:51:44. > :51:54.four, one of the best players. He has so much ability. Fraser Harkness

:51:55. > :52:04.is very effective. He brings everyone else into play very well.

:52:05. > :52:13.This is kicked ahead by Anderson. He has the wind. I am guessing that the

:52:14. > :52:24.pressure on Melrose players must be very severe. This game is seven

:52:25. > :52:32.brothers, continuing a band which has gone on for so long. They seem

:52:33. > :52:38.to cope with that. They usually do pretty well. For the last few years,

:52:39. > :52:44.they have usually got through to the semifinal. They won eight in 2011.

:52:45. > :52:47.They prepare so much more and so much better than the other Scottish

:52:48. > :53:03.teams because it is their own Sevens. Good defence from the

:53:04. > :53:09.Melrose players. Fraser Harkness is out on the right wing. There is

:53:10. > :53:17.Scott Hendry. They are making steady ground. Compared to the Glasgow

:53:18. > :53:23.Warriors and the US team, they struggled. This is Scott Hendry.

:53:24. > :53:33.Look at how these players are backtracking. Fraser Harkness. He

:53:34. > :53:48.knew he would not get around him and he presented the ball. That is very

:53:49. > :53:58.good play. Scott Hendry. Davies. Bite to Clapperton and all the way

:53:59. > :54:02.out to the far wing. -- out. Davis was in there as well and this is

:54:03. > :54:09.Davies again, he looks really sharp. Anderson with a high shot, it

:54:10. > :54:18.will be a penalty. I wonder what that looks like. I wonder if he was

:54:19. > :54:24.high. Let us look at that. Yes it was. Very much so! It can hit the

:54:25. > :54:34.chest and roll up, but that was very high. Scott Hendry had the ball,

:54:35. > :54:49.McDougall. They look quite good here. McDougall, Marshall. Nixon.

:54:50. > :54:53.They are playing patience, no points on the board for either team.

:54:54. > :55:00.Clapperton, at that more aggression from Marshall. -- a bit more

:55:01. > :55:07.aggression. At the moment, the Melrose defenders... There is a very

:55:08. > :55:19.famous man. I thought it was Graham Marshall, I wonder if that is his

:55:20. > :55:32.son. It is, Callum Marshall. He is responsible for a lot of the Selkirk

:55:33. > :55:41.junior rugby. Peter Wright will be joining them. He will be the next

:55:42. > :55:46.Selkirk coach. Nixon. Scott Hendry. We have not seen much Melrose

:55:47. > :55:52.possession, they need to get the ball. Five minutes gone. This is the

:55:53. > :55:58.first time Melrose have played here today. The first tie is about

:55:59. > :56:03.finding your feet. Melrose will not be disappointed at about defending

:56:04. > :56:13.early, now they can to what they will do in attack. They have put the

:56:14. > :56:24.ball in the scrum. Nice little break. That is good. This could be

:56:25. > :56:32.the first try of the game. He had plenty of strength to get through

:56:33. > :56:44.those tackles and he touch touches it down. Austin Lockington weighed

:56:45. > :57:07.up his options, saw a gap and got the pace to get through. He looks

:57:08. > :57:13.up, there were four defenders, but he could get away from temp one and

:57:14. > :57:18.no one was there to stop them. A bit of showboating, starts the engine.

:57:19. > :57:34.It will not be the only try he scores today.

:57:35. > :57:49.Selkirk with the ball. Davies. Davis passes deep. Nixon out to Fraser

:57:50. > :57:57.Harkness, he can make things happen. There he goes. Incredible

:57:58. > :58:05.dexterity in every sense from Fraser Harkness. Callum Marshall blasts his

:58:06. > :58:14.way over the line. That was stunning play by Fraser Harkness. Beautifully

:58:15. > :58:21.balanced, he gets it, he changes hands. Great step, he knows he has

:58:22. > :58:28.the pace, off-loads it to Callum Marshall, an equalising try, great

:58:29. > :58:34.play by Fraser Harkness and for Selkirk to get their first try.

:58:35. > :58:44.Table one -- Fraser Harkness with the drop kick attempt. That is

:58:45. > :59:01.half-time. It is Selkirk five, Melrose, seven. It's off the back of

:59:02. > :59:08.a good performance. Last week, they won the Gala Sevens. Melrose played

:59:09. > :59:14.really well throughout the whole tournament. You can see the pace

:59:15. > :59:21.they have. We've seen evidence just once so far in this first half, but

:59:22. > :59:29.good work of the ball. The difficulty is when you have been

:59:30. > :59:32.playing well, you think it will come again, but they have to get moving

:59:33. > :59:41.because this game might slip away from them. Selkirk have been playing

:59:42. > :59:46.too well. This is their homes Sevens, it is so important. There

:59:47. > :59:55.will not be any sort of complacency from winning last week. All that

:59:56. > :59:59.will do is make them better. This is the first game today. They have

:00:00. > :00:11.defended well, they have one chance, they have taken it.

:00:12. > :00:19.Robertson, if he gets a chance, he is an extraordinary way. Mark

:00:20. > :00:24.Robertson, son of Keith Robertson. He is big, he is quick. He was

:00:25. > :00:29.playing for Scotland a couple of weeks ago, and he played very well.

:00:30. > :00:35.Bittersweet memory here. He was in the final when Melrose was so far

:00:36. > :00:42.up. Just as we given them big build-up! But he is good. He took

:00:43. > :00:51.his eye off the ball. When he gets the ball, here's something. As you

:00:52. > :00:56.say, it is the home team. He was excited to play for Melrose, this is

:00:57. > :01:00.his club. He doesn't get to play very often, so it is a great

:01:01. > :01:05.opportunity to play for his home club at his home Sevens. Harkness,

:01:06. > :01:12.there he is again, he doesn't go down very easily. Offside? In at the

:01:13. > :02:09.side. Melrose, as you say, looking a bit

:02:10. > :02:13.better than Selkirk now. The referee gave home advantage, there was no

:02:14. > :02:15.territory advantage. Normally, in Sevens, it is one or two phases, and

:02:16. > :02:26.that is it. Harkness, every time he touches the

:02:27. > :02:51.ball, something happens. This game is getting a little bit

:02:52. > :03:06.more physical. A knock-on or penalty is coming.

:03:07. > :03:10.Yes, penalty. You can hear the communication from the referee, his

:03:11. > :03:15.commentating as much as we are to the players, which is great

:03:16. > :03:35.refereeing. The players know exactly what he is wanting.

:03:36. > :03:50.The Borders teams keep a lot of which in attack. -- width in attack.

:03:51. > :03:55.A chance for Melrose to get close to sealing this one up. A couple more

:03:56. > :04:12.minutes left in this tie. Just enough speed, takes the risk,

:04:13. > :04:22.it is a good try. It could be the clincher, as you say. Luckington, he

:04:23. > :04:27.is a good showman. You think, touch it down, but he puts it inside. He

:04:28. > :04:34.makes it a seven point, considering it is 12 - five, that is a good

:04:35. > :04:41.decision. 14-5 now so that is more than just one score. Yes, it looks

:04:42. > :04:48.as though it will be more. It looks like it will be Melrose to win.

:04:49. > :04:52.We've got lots of action still to come with lots of games as we follow

:04:53. > :05:01.the Melrose Sevens to its conclusion. This is the place where

:05:02. > :05:10.the game was born. This game is now beyond Selkirk with the kick-off.

:05:11. > :05:11.Two minutes, if you get one score, you get a chance, so it is never

:05:12. > :05:54.over. Nice step, nice try. That looks like

:05:55. > :05:59.that is the clincher. Melrose are the better side, and we have seen

:06:00. > :06:04.that. Slow start, but it is their first game today. They are going

:06:05. > :06:10.through the gears quite nicely, actually. They have scored three

:06:11. > :06:18.good tries. They have won this game, and they will be quite happy. Yes,

:06:19. > :06:29.Hoyland was waiting in the willing -- in the wings. Robertson kept it

:06:30. > :06:34.alive. Luckington, lots of little off-loads. Then he had a battle for

:06:35. > :06:39.possession. He came out, the ball goes wide, and then again,

:06:40. > :06:41.Luckington, he has been involved in much of what has been good. And

:06:42. > :07:31.underneath the posts. This is just a run-in. Nobody is

:07:32. > :07:35.going to catch him. He dots the ball between the uprights. It is a

:07:36. > :07:41.commanding win in the end for Melrose on their home turf. And they

:07:42. > :07:46.will be very happy with that. They will be very happy with their

:07:47. > :07:52.victory over their local rivals, Selkirk. It has been a couple of

:07:53. > :08:00.great games, two border derbies, great play. And we have got lots

:08:01. > :08:07.more games, Glasgow Warriors who will probably blast their way

:08:08. > :08:12.through most of the teams here, and we will be talking to some of the

:08:13. > :08:20.players. Well done, John, you must be delighted. Thank you. It's always

:08:21. > :08:25.difficult to get through that first game. We were quite nervous. Selkirk

:08:26. > :08:31.as well, local rivals, we needed to get in there. We were talking about

:08:32. > :08:39.playing on your home turf, it must be no fracking. It is. -- it must be

:08:40. > :08:47.nerve wracking. But the support, it is a huge day. We were concentrating

:08:48. > :08:53.on just winning. The games to come. -- big games to come. Glasgow Hawks

:08:54. > :08:59.teams like that, the guys have got their eyes open. Every time you get

:09:00. > :09:00.through around, half the teams are going out, so we just need to get

:09:01. > :09:13.through to the next round. Congratulations to Melrose, they

:09:14. > :09:20.will be playing Hawick. We will find out who will be on the bottom

:09:21. > :09:26.quarterfinals. The next game is an all Edinburgh affair.

:09:27. > :09:41.Welcome to this Edinburgh city tie. Edinburgh Academicals, they have

:09:42. > :09:45.great pace. This young kid signed professional contract a couple of

:09:46. > :09:49.weeks ago, he has been a marked as a special talent. And he has got

:09:50. > :09:54.special talent. There's no substitute for pace, and he has got

:09:55. > :09:59.it in abundance. Quite an easy run-in for the first score for the

:10:00. > :10:08.Edinburgh Academicals. Two cracking head to heads in the borders between

:10:09. > :10:18.Hawick and Gala, they won 17-12, and Selkirk were beaten 26-5 against

:10:19. > :10:27.Melrose. Now it is Edinburgh Academicals against Watsonians.

:10:28. > :10:37.Watsonians, they are in good nick having lost in the final last week

:10:38. > :10:42.to Melrose last week in the Gala Sevens. Edinburgh Academicals have

:10:43. > :11:02.started stronger. What Sony and is attacking. Finding

:11:03. > :11:17.some space on the far side. The ball is taken to ground. Watsonians have

:11:18. > :11:27.taken the possession. Scrappy possession. The Accies line are

:11:28. > :11:32.squeezing them on the space. They squeeze and squeeze. What, too many

:11:33. > :11:35.balls-mac going to deck, which puts them on the back foot and allows the

:11:36. > :11:46.Accies to put some pressure on them. Niall Irving Hess, he is the

:11:47. > :12:05.standout for Watsonians. Lovely try here for the Edinburgh

:12:06. > :12:13.Academicals! That was a super Sevens try. Great interplay, support,

:12:14. > :12:17.running, it is all about what the players off the ball do as much as

:12:18. > :12:24.what the ball carrier does. And Accies did it to perfection. Just a

:12:25. > :12:29.good use of space and good angles. You see the inside track which is so

:12:30. > :12:37.devastating. This allowed them to get away, a good angle. Takes two

:12:38. > :12:43.what Sony and is out, and it is a good work try for Accies. Want to

:12:44. > :12:46.get behind defensive alignment such as that, you can start running those

:12:47. > :12:57.angles, teasing with the opposition defences. Watsonians, great Sevens

:12:58. > :13:03.tradition. Is it still continuing, is it so important still? Very much

:13:04. > :13:11.so. This is the second tournament on the circuit. Watsonians have always

:13:12. > :13:14.put-in a lot of effort. And it is great to expose players to that

:13:15. > :13:22.skill level. Look at this from Edinburgh Academicals.

:13:23. > :13:35.In for the second try. There is the what Sony and coaching team, two

:13:36. > :13:41.very illustrious players themselves. You sometimes can't do anything to

:13:42. > :13:54.defend this well worked kick-off. They have got the pace. The second

:13:55. > :14:05.try. It is a tough ask for what Sony is to come back. An indication, if

:14:06. > :14:20.you do not have a ball, you can play is seven aside rugby -- what Sony

:14:21. > :14:31.'s. That Watsonians. Alex player with the pass out. He has a chip. It

:14:32. > :14:39.has bounced nicely for the captain of the Accies team. The last time

:14:40. > :14:49.they won this competition was in 1949. It shows the tradition in the

:14:50. > :14:54.tournament. It is a premier event. All pressure from Accies. They are

:14:55. > :15:06.teasing the defence for Watsonians. The tackle comes in from Heart.

:15:07. > :15:15.Dean, he finds a little bit of space. He has laid the ball nicely

:15:16. > :15:25.on the outside. That is the fourth try for Accies. He goes in under the

:15:26. > :15:40.post and makes the conversion. Surely now this is just a walk in

:15:41. > :15:54.the park. They have got good players. We have not mentioned Jamie

:15:55. > :16:03.Farndale. Here's another one of the youngsters representing Scotland in

:16:04. > :16:08.the Commonwealth Games. He is left for dead and a lack of concentration

:16:09. > :16:17.from him which allows the ball to be dotted down and the conversion is

:16:18. > :16:31.successful. They are in for another try. The white flight is almost

:16:32. > :16:38.going up for Watsonians at the moment. They have received three

:16:39. > :16:44.kick-offs, straight back and this was the end of it. It was the

:16:45. > :16:49.captain, he had the power and the pace and this is a lesson being

:16:50. > :16:57.handed out to Watsonians. They have not even got off the bus. It goes to

:16:58. > :17:03.show that that sometimes can work in your favour. The conversion was

:17:04. > :17:18.unsuccessful. Seven minutes of rugby god, look at the scoreline, 29-0 two

:17:19. > :17:23.Edinburgh Zoo. -- to Accies. It is looking comfortable for a temp one

:17:24. > :17:53.at that time. Here are the other results. -- Accies.

:17:54. > :18:07.We should see the whole of this second-half, it is very comfortable

:18:08. > :18:12.for Accies. We have been chatting about what was said in that

:18:13. > :18:24.half-time huddle for Watsonians. There is no way they are going to

:18:25. > :18:30.win. I cannot see it. There is a cup of tea that the wonderful Melrose

:18:31. > :18:37.ladies put on for the players. Can Watsonians have a reaction. Hamilton

:18:38. > :18:46.out wide and it is in to this man who is a bit of a flying machine. I

:18:47. > :18:52.thought that was going to be the start of the comeback, but good

:18:53. > :19:01.defence from Accies. There is a strong wind. The wind is coming

:19:02. > :19:14.across the Greenyards. Watsonians have an advantage. Side entry. That

:19:15. > :19:26.was adjudged against Accies, so Watsonians will start with their

:19:27. > :19:40.kick on goal. Mrs Hamilton. -- this is Hamilton. Irving Hess on the wide

:19:41. > :19:56.outside. Advantage being played. This is Accies attacking. That is

:19:57. > :20:18.Blair and it is onto Jamie Farndale. That is Scott McKeen. The captain

:20:19. > :20:22.takes it up over the ten yard line. It is not quite time for the

:20:23. > :20:41.football World Cup, we will enjoy this for now.

:20:42. > :20:59.Scott McCain, Jamie Farndale has him trapped. He gets the ball back to

:21:00. > :21:07.Ramsay Young. Spread out to Neil Irving Hess. That is the second time

:21:08. > :21:14.he has lost the ball in contact, Neil Irving Hess he is learning

:21:15. > :21:20.about Sevens rugby quickly. He is a physical specimen, but he is not

:21:21. > :21:27.under real pressure. That is giving easy possession back to Accies. He

:21:28. > :21:33.has been taken off. He has had enough. Watsonians have another

:21:34. > :22:08.player coming on. It is certainly a closer encounter

:22:09. > :22:12.in the second half, no points in the second half, unbelievably having

:22:13. > :22:25.seen it Accies take about 29 point lead in the first half. Hamilton. He

:22:26. > :22:33.has the step. He has got bags of pace, but another good tackle coming

:22:34. > :22:40.in from the Accies defence. Blair gets the tackle. That is the ten

:22:41. > :22:51.yard line. This is the substitute, gets the ball to Ramsay Young. Scott

:22:52. > :23:04.McKeen recycles the ball. Better play from Watsonians. Hamilton

:23:05. > :23:23.It has been a better second half for what Sony 's. They have not been

:23:24. > :23:34.able to get across the try line. Accies will be happy -- Watsonians.

:23:35. > :23:39.They will be tested much more in the next round. They will be quite

:23:40. > :23:45.pleased with having to defend. Mentally as well, when you know you

:23:46. > :23:55.have done all the hard work, you can relax a little bit. Scott McKeen was

:23:56. > :24:01.shrugged off the tackle. He shows great pace. It goes to show that off

:24:02. > :24:08.the bench, for the first try the second half, is this player. They

:24:09. > :24:14.have absorbed the pressure that Watsonians have had and taken a

:24:15. > :24:21.chance. There is no substitute for pace and the substitute came on and

:24:22. > :24:28.scored. It has been a comfortable victory for Accies. Accies thumping

:24:29. > :24:52.Watsonians by 36 points to one. A comfortable win for Accies. Next

:24:53. > :24:58.up it is Clermont Auvergne, they were beaten last year by Saracens,

:24:59. > :25:01.they were disappointed to lose the competition, because as you can

:25:02. > :25:12.remember, they had a commanding position. They were just ahead, and

:25:13. > :25:23.then the opposing team got a try. This conversion was very important.

:25:24. > :25:29.It went over, Saracens won they trophy for the second year in a row

:25:30. > :25:39.-- Ladies Cup. They are here and they are determined to do some

:25:40. > :25:49.damage. Enjoy this. 84 tries have been scored in this tournament so

:25:50. > :25:55.far. Fairmont Werner are in a yellow -- Clermont Auvergne. They have

:25:56. > :26:02.trained very hard. I have been watching them and I have to say

:26:03. > :26:09.there has been a professionalism and a precision about their preparation

:26:10. > :26:16.squad which has been impressive. I was talking to Neil McIlroy, a

:26:17. > :26:20.former player who is now a manager of the Toulon team and he said how

:26:21. > :26:26.upset they were to lose with the last play of the game. They have a

:26:27. > :26:31.lot of confidence. Four players return to the side. They will be one

:26:32. > :26:44.of the teams to watch as we head towards the final. Look at him go!

:26:45. > :26:55.He is a big strong fellow. 17 stones plus. He is from Fiji. This is his

:26:56. > :27:07.first year at Claremont Verne. A one-handed off-load. -- Clermont

:27:08. > :27:14.Auvergne. So many Fijians give us fantastic players. They have this

:27:15. > :27:33.natural ability. -- become fantastic players. The conversion. The

:27:34. > :27:42.scrum-half. There is the try scorer. -- Uwa Tawalo. Here comes Glasgow.

:27:43. > :27:51.Lovely running. That was a great run. A great run by Shaun Murphy.

:27:52. > :28:12.Chris Boyle. Here is: Gregor. He is caught. --: Gregor. -- Colin Gregor.

:28:13. > :28:23.That is a lovely sidestep. He has got great support from Marie. A

:28:24. > :28:30.chance for Boyle. -- Murray. There is Uwa Tawalo. They are trying to

:28:31. > :29:00.get the ball away. That is Gregor. That almost brings

:29:01. > :29:07.us to the end of our coverage. If you go to BBC Two Scotland now, we

:29:08. > :29:15.can carry on. Before we go back to the action, let me remind you of

:29:16. > :29:42.what has happened so far. Action got underway at 11:30am. This is round

:29:43. > :29:56.one so far. This is the second round, so far.

:29:57. > :30:01.The hardiest annuals return for another spectacular display.
