:01:23. > :01:33.Another Davies is going to score Halfpenny has the try. Williams

:01:33. > :01:50.

:01:50. > :01:54.It is Roberts for the opening try! This time last year, Wales were

:01:54. > :01:58.still bemoaning that agonising World Cup semi-final defeat, but

:01:58. > :02:02.then another Six Nations Grand Slam but everybody up a bit. But now it

:02:02. > :02:06.is time for the annual autumn international ritual, where for all

:02:06. > :02:16.the Home Nations, it is all about - - more about hope than expectation

:02:16. > :02:16.

:02:16. > :03:18.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 61 seconds

:03:18. > :03:28.as the giants of the southern So this is what we have over the

:03:28. > :03:54.

:03:54. > :03:59.next four weekends, nine of the top The Pumas have been hardened up

:03:59. > :04:05.after their debut appearance. It is a big challenge for acting Wales

:04:05. > :04:10.coach Rob Howley, deputising for Warren Gatland. Howley's cause has

:04:10. > :04:16.not been helped by the absence of several big-name forwards. Dan

:04:16. > :04:21.Lydiate, a Six Nations -- Six Nations player three thigh, and

:04:21. > :04:24.Adam Jones. The main talking point in where has this week is Jamie

:04:24. > :04:29.Robinson's pending moved to Paris, yet another well start heading

:04:29. > :04:33.across the Channel. Another big name based in France, Mike Phillips,

:04:33. > :04:36.has been left out in favour of Tavis Knoyle at scrum half. First

:04:36. > :04:40.international experience in Cardiff for English born Aaron Jarvis, who

:04:40. > :04:50.replaces the injured Adam Jones. And there the Pumas, 14 years after

:04:50. > :04:51.

:04:51. > :04:59.his initial debut, a new player has been recalled. This will be his 9th

:04:59. > :05:04.appearance against Wales. So that is the Millennium Stadium on its

:05:04. > :05:09.first if don't back that first afternoon of the afternoon --

:05:09. > :05:14.autumn internationals. I gather it is beautiful blue skies over South

:05:14. > :05:16.Wales at the moment. The teams are warming up on the field. There are

:05:16. > :05:20.the Argentinians. They will certainly be match tight after

:05:21. > :05:24.taking part in the championship for the first time in the summer. We

:05:24. > :05:28.have three men here to offer their pearls of wisdom during the build-

:05:28. > :05:33.up to the match. There's something old, something new on the field of

:05:33. > :05:37.play, and indeed, off it. Returning to the fray, duller than Davies and

:05:37. > :05:47.Jeremy Guscott. And I am joined by the most capped Welshman of all

:05:47. > :06:02.

:06:02. > :06:05.Stephen Jones, welcome to the team, now I man of Wasps. We will have

:06:05. > :06:09.plenty to talk about over the next 20 minutes. It is worth putting all

:06:09. > :06:12.the games this autumn into some kind of context, because they have

:06:12. > :06:17.more significance than normal, because the draw for the World Cup

:06:17. > :06:27.will be made after these autumn internationals take place, on 3rd

:06:27. > :06:41.

:06:41. > :06:46.December. Jonathan, it is about winning matches, but at this stage

:06:46. > :06:51.of the World Cup cycle, it is also about plugging -- blooding a few

:06:51. > :06:58.new players, so it is hard to get the balance right? It is a

:06:58. > :07:04.difficult. Mike Phillips is not available for one of the games at

:07:04. > :07:08.the end. Maybe that is why they have brought Tavis Knoyle in. It is

:07:08. > :07:13.a very difficult job now for Rob Howley to try and get everyone to

:07:13. > :07:17.have a game. They failed to do that in Australia, and that is why they

:07:17. > :07:21.lost the games over there, because some of the players were rusty.

:07:21. > :07:24.What do you make of the programme over the next month? It is mouth-

:07:24. > :07:28.watering and there will be some fantastic matches, but what are the

:07:28. > :07:38.key points from the home nation a point of view? Everyone is at a

:07:38. > :07:41.different stage. Wales have talent. Ireland, there are moans that they

:07:42. > :07:47.have too many experienced players. England are going through

:07:47. > :07:51.transformations. Scotland, there's a lot of talk about Halwell they

:07:51. > :07:54.can do. These teams have to start producing. Up and a quick word

:07:54. > :07:58.about playing in these autumn internationals. It is not the Six

:07:58. > :08:03.Nations, but when playing against Australia, New Zealand, South

:08:03. > :08:07.Africa and Argentina, there are the old cliches about no easy games.

:08:07. > :08:12.How important is the next month that these players? It is hugely

:08:12. > :08:16.important. It is an immense fixture-list. As a player, you are

:08:16. > :08:23.very excited for the autumn campaign. All the boys have been

:08:23. > :08:27.immensely proud. From a Welsh point of view, nothing is ever dull in

:08:27. > :08:31.Planet rugby. So many key issues are being debated both on and off

:08:31. > :08:38.the field. Ross Harris can go through one or two of the key

:08:38. > :08:41.moments. Most of the Welsh squad have just

:08:41. > :08:46.returned from a torturous Polish training camp. It has become part

:08:46. > :08:52.of a ritual that served them well ahead of the World Cup and the Six

:08:52. > :08:57.Nations. Poland was great for me to do conditioning work and top up in

:08:58. > :09:01.the gym. So I have come back in good shape. Us always, there has

:09:01. > :09:03.been fevered speculation surrounding selection. Stalwarts

:09:03. > :09:13.like Jamie Roberts and Rhys Priestland have held onto their

:09:13. > :09:14.

:09:14. > :09:17.shirts despite intense competition within the squad. They have picked

:09:17. > :09:21.the best individuals. The Blues announced this week that Jamie

:09:21. > :09:25.Roberts would leave at the end of the season, with Racing Metro his

:09:25. > :09:29.likely destination. Prior to that, he had been singled out for

:09:29. > :09:35.stinging criticism in the press. The only opinions that matter to me

:09:35. > :09:40.are those of my fellow players and my parents and my good mates.

:09:40. > :09:45.Whatever some clown journalist wants to write about my form, if

:09:45. > :09:49.they have not experienced it at the highest level, it goes over my head.

:09:49. > :09:54.Eyebrows were raised at the selection of scarlet scrum half at

:09:54. > :09:58.Tavis Knoyle, at expense of France based Mike Phillips. If I was a bit

:09:58. > :10:02.surprised. But Tavis Knoyle is such a nice guy, and we have the

:10:02. > :10:08.experience of Mike on the bench. So he would not be a bad replacement

:10:08. > :10:12.to bring on. And also, at this moment in time, Mike is probably

:10:12. > :10:16.unavailable for Australia. We can't get to the Australia game with

:10:16. > :10:23.three or four key players not being available and not having game time.

:10:23. > :10:29.Up front, there is a big Adam Jones shaped hole to fill. But the

:10:29. > :10:33.manager is confident that his team- mate Aaron Jarvis is up to the task.

:10:33. > :10:41.We have been pleased with Adam's performance for the Ospreys when he

:10:41. > :10:49.has replaced Aaron. We need that experience. Although many thought

:10:49. > :10:58.they may see a different combination, it is just Warbleton

:10:58. > :11:02.who starts. We did discuss Sam Warburton, but in international

:11:02. > :11:07.rugby, you have to do things naturally. You are better off with

:11:07. > :11:11.a specialist Six who can be a lot of the tackling. There is more at

:11:11. > :11:16.stake than usual this autumn, with a 2015 World Cup draw taking place

:11:16. > :11:21.in December. If Wales can break into the world's top four and avoid

:11:21. > :11:27.the southern hemisphere superpowers in the group stages. A to get into

:11:27. > :11:32.the top four would be a massive achievement. That is what I imagine

:11:32. > :11:36.the northern hemisphere sides are aspiring to do.

:11:36. > :11:40.If you are a neutral watching the Wales versus Australia matches in

:11:40. > :11:45.the summer was a treat, because they were a nail-biting. But if you

:11:45. > :11:48.were not neutral and you will Welsh, they were unbelievably frustrating,

:11:48. > :11:54.because they were three games that should have been won. It was

:11:54. > :12:00.bitterly disappointing. They controlled large parts of the game,

:12:00. > :12:06.but unfortunately could not clinch the game. Rob Howley alluded to it

:12:06. > :12:10.earlier. It is getting the selection right. On that tour, they

:12:10. > :12:15.should have won, but they got a few of the selections wrong. Which

:12:15. > :12:19.ones? A lot of the Ospreys boys were playing exceptionally well at

:12:19. > :12:23.the end of the last season. They were going to win at the end of the

:12:23. > :12:26.Pro12. The win at Leinster was unbelievable. They were the form

:12:26. > :12:35.players, but unfortunately they picked other squad members who had

:12:35. > :12:39.not played a lot of games. Maybe it was the rustiness. But also, if

:12:39. > :12:47.there are youngsters in key positions. After that tour, people

:12:47. > :12:57.expect them to come out and win games. It is vital. In my view,

:12:57. > :12:57.

:12:57. > :13:01.this Welsh team is a class side. It is lacking the brains. Everyone

:13:01. > :13:05.talks about Sam Warburton being a great captain. Is he the great

:13:05. > :13:09.leader that a great team has? Probably at the moment, not quite.

:13:09. > :13:13.I watched the Australian series, and every time they went behind,

:13:13. > :13:18.they went behind a post. Sam was not calling them in and telling

:13:18. > :13:20.them what to do. They need a few leaders. They are a young team.

:13:20. > :13:25.many column inches have been written this week about Jamie

:13:25. > :13:29.Roberts going to France. He was the latest big player in what seems

:13:29. > :13:32.like a never-ending exodus. Does it matter where the Welsh players

:13:32. > :13:37.play? Obvious League, the Welsh public and the Welsh management

:13:37. > :13:42.like to have the boys playing here in Wales. But I have played in

:13:42. > :13:47.France and I enjoyed that. It is a wonderful competition to playing.

:13:47. > :13:55.It is challenging. In his it just the money? Obviously, that plays a

:13:55. > :13:58.big role. But there is a lot more to it. You are playing in a league

:13:58. > :14:03.that is world-class, against fantastic rugby players, week-in,

:14:03. > :14:06.week-out. It is enjoyable. almost does not matter where your

:14:06. > :14:10.players come from. Argentina are proof of that, because they are

:14:10. > :14:14.almost a bunch of strolling minstrels. If you look at their

:14:14. > :14:19.team line-up, they have players who played in Argentina, four of them,

:14:19. > :14:23.but there are eight based in France, a couple based in England, and also

:14:23. > :14:28.South Africa. It is an almighty task for their coaching panel to

:14:28. > :14:32.get them altogether. It's difficult, but for the first time, they have

:14:32. > :14:36.had the championship to play together. And they can come on this

:14:36. > :14:39.tour better prepared than they have ever been. It will be interesting

:14:39. > :14:44.to see if they go with the tried and trusted forward kicking game,

:14:44. > :14:48.or if they play a bit more football. But they will be prepared.

:14:48. > :14:58.watched them too of the rugby championship, and they are more

:14:58. > :15:00.

:15:00. > :15:06.This time, having played the top three in the world, they really

:15:06. > :15:12.have grown. Now they are scoring some wonderful tries. They are

:15:12. > :15:19.prepared to play. If Wales kick Mac badly and do not chase, Argentina

:15:19. > :15:23.will counter attack. They want to get penalties in the scrum, they

:15:23. > :15:28.will go back to a simplistic game- plan if they are put under pressure

:15:28. > :15:35.today. The man under pressure today is their coach and is talking to us

:15:35. > :15:38.now. It has been a long season for these

:15:38. > :15:42.players and a very competitive debut. How important has the

:15:42. > :15:47.competition been for the development of Argentinian rugby?

:15:47. > :15:52.It was great to be part of that tournament. Argentina have grown up

:15:52. > :15:58.a lot and we are playing the best teams in the world. It was good for

:15:58. > :16:06.us. We used to have six games per year and this way, we can play 12

:16:06. > :16:12.games and develop players and again. We are better prepared now to play

:16:12. > :16:15.in November. A lot of talk about players moving to France from Wales,

:16:15. > :16:20.and the difficulty of bringing players back to pay for their

:16:20. > :16:25.country. You are used to this because from a geographical point

:16:25. > :16:29.of view, your players are all over the world. How it easy is it to

:16:30. > :16:35.bring them together? It is very difficult. Most of them are in

:16:35. > :16:44.France, some in England. It is good bet we have amateur rugby in

:16:44. > :16:50.Argentina. It is very difficult for us to work together and try to get

:16:50. > :16:54.a style of playing, because they are playing in different clubs. It

:16:54. > :17:03.is very important to follow them during the year, how they are

:17:03. > :17:10.playing, which club they are applying for a. -- playing for.

:17:10. > :17:16.We're very happy when Argentina get together and it is getting better

:17:16. > :17:21.every day. The coach is only a couple of years

:17:21. > :17:25.older than this man. You have played against him many times.

:17:25. > :17:31.a player. He is intelligent. If Argentina get a quick ball today

:17:31. > :17:35.they will try to move it to him straight away. He is 35, he is not

:17:35. > :17:41.the biggest and he will have some big Welsh players running at him.

:17:41. > :17:46.Good luck to him, that is what I say. North, Cuthbert, Roberts, it

:17:46. > :17:53.is a tough day at the office. is speculation he might announce

:17:53. > :17:59.his retirement today? I am sure carve bird and North will bring him

:17:59. > :18:04.down. If they get this safe -- the set piece right, it will be a

:18:04. > :18:14.difficult afternoon for Argentina. If we talk about somebody else who

:18:14. > :18:16.

:18:16. > :18:17.is a key figure for them, Lobbe is is a key figure for them, Lobbe is

:18:17. > :18:24.is a key figure for them, Lobbe is at a key player. He is almost the

:18:24. > :18:28.team. He is so high on their statistics. He tackles like a

:18:28. > :18:35.machine. He is everything for this side. If he goes well, the team

:18:35. > :18:42.does. He is a great leader. He is inspirational, his words are great

:18:42. > :18:46.also. He is a fantastic player. He is world class. We have got one

:18:46. > :18:54.stalwart of Wales alongside as for the commentary team and another one

:18:54. > :18:58.on the touchline. This is a man who knows all about

:18:58. > :19:04.the big occasion here at the Millennium Stadium. So much

:19:04. > :19:08.speculation about this team and a lot of talk about selections. Let's

:19:09. > :19:18.talk about your area of expertise. You think the blend is right?

:19:18. > :19:22.are missing Dan Lydiate and Ryan Jones, his natural replacement.

:19:22. > :19:28.Josh Turnbull has a big point to prove today so we are expecting a

:19:28. > :19:33.big game from him. If war Britain leading the side. Interesting to

:19:33. > :19:41.hear that it was question whether he is the leader for this team.

:19:41. > :19:46.Hem and Roberts have been under pressure. The balance of the Welsh

:19:46. > :19:56.side probably suits were Britain better and I think he is probably

:19:56. > :19:59.

:19:59. > :20:03.the national leader. -- the natural leader. Then amongst a photograph

:20:03. > :20:11.on the tunnel wall,. Then Davies. He seems to have floated under the

:20:11. > :20:19.radar? For me he is at huge loss. He brings balance to the back line.

:20:19. > :20:29.He is a player who we hopefully will not miss today. Will Wales win

:20:29. > :20:39.

:20:39. > :20:49.You can see Russia went down at home to the USA last night. France

:20:49. > :20:53.

:20:53. > :21:03.are playing Australia at 9 o'clock tonight. You may question some

:21:03. > :21:11.

:21:11. > :21:16.fixtures in the middle, it is World One player we ought to talk about

:21:16. > :21:20.today, because we mentioned Phillips been left it out, Tavis

:21:21. > :21:27.Knoyle has an opportunity. You were there when he made a breakthrough

:21:27. > :21:33.into first class rugby, what were your impressions? He is very fit,

:21:33. > :21:37.he is a good professional, works hard and takes a lot of pride. I'm

:21:37. > :21:41.sure he has been briefed today to get to the breakdown early and get

:21:42. > :21:48.the ball away, do not let the are tainted -- Argentinians get into

:21:48. > :21:53.that area. What do you want from a scrum-half, more than anything?

:21:53. > :21:57.want him to implement a game plan. You want him to get the forwards

:21:57. > :22:02.into the game, you want good communication between both of you.

:22:02. > :22:07.Also, his kicking game has got to be spot on. When you have got

:22:07. > :22:13.players who are so talented outside, is there a temptation to overplay

:22:13. > :22:18.your hand, but you won't get the ball wide to early? -- that you

:22:18. > :22:24.want to. The back line Wales has is world class. You would think, let's

:22:24. > :22:28.get Roberts and North in early, and cost bird. These guys are superb.

:22:28. > :22:38.They are great athletes and rugby players. When Argentina start

:22:38. > :22:41.adjusting their defensive system, we will use them as decoy runners.

:22:41. > :22:46.In the Championship matches, Argentina lead at one point in

:22:46. > :22:51.every match they played, but faded in the last 15 or 20 minutes. Why,

:22:51. > :22:54.and is that likely to happen again? The reason it happened is because

:22:54. > :22:58.they were playing a three top teams in the world and they are not used

:22:58. > :23:04.to playing at that intensity. It was going to take its toll on them,

:23:04. > :23:08.even though they are professionals. Today, they have had a month to

:23:08. > :23:13.recover. OK, they have gone back to club rugby, but adrenalin will get

:23:13. > :23:23.them through and I think it will last longer. Where will it be won

:23:23. > :23:27.and lost today? Sanchez has a big role to play for Argentina. Preece

:23:27. > :23:33.Land is important for Wales. His form has not been great. He has got

:23:34. > :23:39.a point to prove. You have stayed in that tunnel so many times over

:23:39. > :23:44.more than a decade. How is it standing on the touchline for the

:23:44. > :23:49.first time? Slightly bizarre. Being in the tunnel is immense. You're so

:23:49. > :23:53.excited, you try to put yourself in his own, try to figure of a game

:23:53. > :23:57.plan, get yourself in order. It is a proud moment when you come out.

:23:57. > :24:02.At what point when you come out does the noise hit you? Be Pizzey

:24:02. > :24:06.straight away. This stadium is superb, especially with the rate

:24:06. > :24:11.close as the noise stays in. It is a great place to play rugby.

:24:12. > :24:21.Warburton will lead Wales. Roberts was very forthright earlier about

:24:21. > :24:27.the criticism he has been receiving. Are those on initiated comments? --

:24:27. > :24:31.an emaciated? It is never good to have criticism but he is strong

:24:31. > :24:35.enough and it surely will prove himself today. We are expecting

:24:35. > :24:40.both sides to come up in the next the moments. On this Remembrance

:24:40. > :24:43.weekend, both sets of shirts will include poppies as a mark of

:24:43. > :24:51.respect for those servicemen who have lost their lives across the

:24:51. > :24:55.world. We are expecting the usual fan where -- fanfare to welcome

:24:55. > :25:02.Wales, for the first of nine internationals between now and the

:25:02. > :25:09.end of March. A final weekend of the Six Nations Championship will

:25:09. > :25:15.be 23rd March. Wales against England will be a big Canale, but

:25:15. > :25:23.France against Scotland will be the final game. It is worth repeating

:25:23. > :25:26.the significance of this game and the match in Ireland later today,

:25:26. > :25:31.live on BBC Two. Scotland play tomorrow against New Zealand, you

:25:31. > :25:35.can see that on BBC One. All of these a match is crucial in

:25:35. > :25:41.determining seedings for the World Cup in 2015, which begins at

:25:41. > :25:43.Twickenham in September of that year. In 20th November 12, with the

:25:43. > :25:51.first of the autumn internationals in what is a hectic programme over

:25:51. > :26:01.the next four weeks, here, teams of Wales and Argentina. -- here, the

:26:01. > :26:08.

:26:08. > :26:13.Sam Warburton carrying a wreath on behalf of the Wales team. It is a

:26:13. > :26:19.very poignant moment for the Argentine players, 30 years on from

:02:32. > :02:36.been containing the Argentinian attack. We have not seen much Welsh

:02:36. > :02:42.attack. I think what Howley will have to look at the depth of their

:02:42. > :02:46.back play. As I mentioned earlier, there have been a few opportunities

:02:54. > :02:59.the Argentinian defence drift on. They have to look at what is in

:02:59. > :03:04.front of them and adapt their depth. The Welsh traditionally have been

:03:04. > :03:10.slow starters in November. You have to go back ten years to a time when

:03:10. > :03:19.they ran their first autumn international -- when they won

:03:19. > :03:29.their first autumn international of a series. And the 100% record

:03:29. > :04:08.

:04:08. > :04:12.to play some rugby down inside the Pumas' half. For the most part, the

:04:12. > :04:22.front row have been holding up very well against this tough Pumas from

:04:22. > :04:38.

:04:38. > :04:48.before the ball was fed in, as per usual. If you look at the

:04:48. > :04:51.

:04:51. > :05:01.Argentinian defensive line-up, 10 and 12 are very tight. That was fed

:05:01. > :05:01.

:21:49. > :21:59.any of your players leave, but clearly someone as influential as

:21:59. > :22:05.

:22:05. > :22:09.Alun Wyn Jones, that is going to cost Wales, isn't it? It will upset

:22:09. > :22:12.the balance of the pack. Hopefully they can make some adjustments over

:22:12. > :22:20.the next 10 minutes and hopefully we will not have too much of an

:22:20. > :22:24.adverse affect. Wales must go when thinking perhaps they have been

:22:24. > :22:28.unfortunate to be in that position? You have got to take your hat off

:22:28. > :22:32.to Argentina, they were the better of the two sides in the first half.

:22:32. > :22:36.The boys were quite scrubby, patterns not going as they would

:22:36. > :22:45.have planned. They are still in the lead, which is what counts.

:22:45. > :22:54.Hopefully the last 20 minutes, they can put away from Argentina.

:22:54. > :22:58.It really has been Argentina's game It is about penetration behind a

:22:58. > :23:08.scrum, that is where Argentina have fallen short which means that Wales

:23:08. > :23:09.

:23:09. > :23:15.Lacking in cohesion, how do you explain the Welsh performance?

:23:15. > :23:19.guys have not been together long. They used to play in the Ospreys or

:23:19. > :23:25.Scarlets. It is just trying to get the cohesion that the Welsh

:23:25. > :23:31.management want. They have been together for quite some time, two

:23:31. > :23:36.weeks. Intensive in Poland, they have done a lot of work. But when

:23:36. > :23:42.the pressure and expectation comes, it is difficult to put it together.

:23:42. > :23:49.The have gobby inexperience of Tavis and Knoyle. -- you have got

:23:49. > :23:53.the inexperience. Priest land is not finding his form. Get your set

:23:53. > :24:00.piece right, sent Roberts Dan-Air, and build on it. They do not seem

:24:00. > :24:04.to be able to build on that because they are making too many mistakes.

:24:04. > :24:08.Let's go back to something you said before a game, about Sam Warburton

:24:08. > :24:13.as a captain saying he is a good captain, but you are not convinced

:24:13. > :24:17.of his leadership qualities. I know that the social networking people

:24:17. > :24:21.have been on to you, asking what you are on about. What did you

:24:21. > :24:29.mean? He is a world-class number 7 but sometimes you need more than

:24:29. > :24:34.the action. I was always apply it that responded to harm my captain

:24:34. > :24:40.played. -- I was always a player. Sometimes you need to say, lads,

:24:41. > :24:50.you need to do this. You do not see so much of that in this team.

:24:50. > :24:55.is well respected in a grid. He is a good leader. I am sure he has the

:24:55. > :24:59.backing of all the boys and we will see better play in the second half.

:24:59. > :25:04.Let's look at the first half. It was a hotchpotch of a performance.

:25:04. > :25:09.There were moments where they looked like they had not met.

:25:09. > :25:15.Slightly frustrating, because of handling errors. Leigh Halfpenny

:25:15. > :25:21.did have a good first half of rugby. He was superb poetic League. It is

:25:21. > :25:28.just frustration in losing a ball. If they play with pace and tempo

:25:28. > :25:31.they will create opportunities. is strange explaining to a people

:25:31. > :25:37.that these guys are professionals, but when you see basic mistakes, it

:25:37. > :25:44.is frustrating. It is even more for the players. Yes, you have got to

:25:44. > :25:49.brace for impact and tackle and be ready for anything. It is clumsy.

:25:49. > :25:59.It is getting used to one another and the patterns of play. The

:25:59. > :26:00.

:26:00. > :26:03.intensity of an international is high above the practice pitch. We

:26:03. > :26:08.have talked about recognising overlaps. Sometimes you need people

:26:08. > :26:12.to catch the ball, draw the defender and pass. Wales are

:26:12. > :26:20.running so naturally, they are taking space that that should be

:26:20. > :26:25.there for Cuthbert, North and Leigh Halfpenny to attack. Because they

:26:25. > :26:28.went so laterally, two defenders could take them out. The big

:26:28. > :26:34.positive for Wales is that we are creating those opportunities. We

:26:34. > :26:38.have to be more clinical, keep creating opportunities. How much of

:26:38. > :26:48.that is your position? How much of that is you as a conductor of the

:26:48. > :26:52.orchestra, how much have you got to set the template, Rhys Priestland,

:26:52. > :26:56.how much has he got to do that? depends on so much, whether you

:26:56. > :27:02.have a proper outside Duke, who you have got around you and who is

:27:02. > :27:06.making a correct call. There are so many variables. You're the person

:27:07. > :27:12.who sets the template for what happens, aren't you? You can

:27:12. > :27:15.influence the game,, patterns. You can influence the tempo of the game,

:27:15. > :27:19.but you depend on your team-mates to be in the right place at the

:27:19. > :27:25.right time. We are used to Wales having a dynamic back division but

:27:25. > :27:29.not Argentina. It is a great mystery, in a country that has such

:27:29. > :27:34.footballing heritage, behind the scrum they do not seem to have that

:27:34. > :27:38.incision that top international teams need. This comes from them

:27:38. > :27:45.being on around Europe and the odd one in South Africa. This team does

:27:45. > :27:49.not get a lot of time together. They are sometimes not released.

:27:49. > :27:55.Some have been released for this autumn's series. You kind of thing,

:27:55. > :28:01.I expect Argentina to make mistakes because they are not professional -

:28:01. > :28:04.- as professional as Wales. Does it need the International Rugby Board

:28:04. > :28:10.to get hold of this and say, in the international segment of the season,

:28:10. > :28:15.every player has to be made available? It is sensible. In an

:28:15. > :28:19.ideal world, yes, we will have a global season where there is an

:28:19. > :28:29.international period at certain times with a player should have it

:28:29. > :28:30.

:28:30. > :28:35.written into the contract. -- or the player should have. They could

:28:35. > :28:45.have scored the only try of the game. We talked about Wales needing

:28:45. > :28:45.

:28:45. > :28:50.to run straight. This was a great opportunity. A great turnover.

:28:50. > :29:00.Lobbe was in their Qamar getting stuck in. He is a brilliant captain.

:29:00. > :29:01.

:29:01. > :29:08.It is just about drawing up. Catch, draw and pass. Inside, nobody there,

:29:08. > :29:14.back to the BOP. If he gets it right he scores a try. But we know

:29:14. > :29:24.how the ball can bounce. They have recognised they have more attackers

:29:24. > :29:27.

:29:27. > :29:31.than defenders and it just takes some brains. That is what you coach

:29:31. > :29:38.always tells you, draw your defender, that the ball do the work

:29:38. > :29:48.and you can go into space. And they do that. Like I said, if that ball

:29:48. > :29:50.

:29:50. > :29:55.We spend all our kind talking about big power. Camacho had an

:29:55. > :30:00.outstanding first half. He is 80 kilos, which is about 12 and a half,

:30:00. > :30:07.13 stone, not much. When it comes down to technique, it is not just

:30:07. > :30:16.about size. To technically, he is fantastic. Defensively, he was top

:30:16. > :30:26.drawer in the first half. This was a superb tackle. Textbook. And this

:30:26. > :30:26.

:30:26. > :30:33.last bit was straight out of any Argentinian central defender

:30:33. > :30:36.strategy. Anyway, this is our first match of a very busy four weeks

:30:36. > :30:40.during the autumn internationals. We will have highlights for you of

:30:40. > :30:50.all the England games and live coverage of all the Celtic nations,

:30:50. > :30:54.Wales, Ireland and Scotland. And we are going by playing this time up

:30:54. > :31:04.to Scotland tomorrow for the match against the All Blacks. This is

:31:04. > :31:04.

:31:04. > :32:11.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 61 seconds

:32:11. > :32:18.So, this is what we have, match-by- In terms of the second half here,

:32:18. > :32:22.if Wales are frustrated, how do you eradicate that frustration? Just

:32:22. > :32:30.keep hold of the ball, work Argentina, make them run around the

:32:30. > :32:40.paddock. Just be efficient. Wales have got two brilliant winners.

:32:40. > :32:40.

:32:40. > :32:45.need them in contact with the ball. They need to be brought into the

:32:45. > :32:49.game. That will make the dense. Get those back grows coming in, and the

:32:49. > :32:53.space will open up. I would expect Wales to score tries. These guys

:32:53. > :32:59.have been playing a lot to international rugby. Well for pig

:32:59. > :33:08.be a factor -- will fatigue be a factor in the last quarter of an

:33:08. > :33:18.hour? It will be interesting. If Wales play the right style of game,

:33:18. > :33:21.

:33:21. > :33:29.they will do well. Wales have struggled, whereas Argentina have

:33:29. > :33:33.had two clear-cut opportunities to score tries. We said at the start

:33:33. > :33:37.that these are hugely important gains in terms of World Cup ranking

:33:37. > :33:41.positions, because you want to finish in the top four to avoid the

:33:41. > :33:44.really big guns when it comes to the draw being made on the third

:33:44. > :33:54.December. Wales desperately want that fourth place, and a victory

:33:54. > :34:11.

:34:11. > :34:15.now missing from the Welsh line-up. No Jamie Roberts, no Alun Wyn Jones.

:34:15. > :34:25.And for Argentina, no Felipe Contepomi. There is a George North,

:34:25. > :34:25.

:34:25. > :35:05.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 61 seconds

:35:05. > :35:10.dive up for the line a few years ago... Lots of errors in the early

:35:10. > :35:17.exchanges, but a penalty to order tonight is forthcoming. Again, a

:35:18. > :35:24.good start. Did not clear the kick- off, so they find themselves

:35:24. > :35:31.looking at nine points apiece. He asked the boys said, Wales had a

:35:31. > :35:41.lot of handling errors. If they can just Bill bear phases and get a bit

:35:41. > :35:41.

:35:41. > :35:44.of continuity, I am sure they will break this Argentinian defence down.

:35:44. > :35:52.That was Juan Manuel Leguizamon, launching himself in the direction

:35:52. > :36:02.of the ball on behalf of his countrymen. Marcos Ayerza has taken

:36:02. > :36:02.

:36:02. > :37:32.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 61 seconds

:37:32. > :37:36.You would have expected him to get by the Argentinian front-row,

:37:36. > :37:46.number three. He just stood his ground, and caused the Welsh

:37:46. > :37:56.players to get off their feet. Another opportunity for three

:37:56. > :38:18.

:38:18. > :38:28.points. They can't shift him. It is completely there on the slippery

:38:28. > :38:28.

:38:28. > :39:12.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 61 seconds

:39:13. > :39:16.turf -- Sanchez lost his footing. member of the back row today. A lot

:39:16. > :39:26.of people are slipping over. The turf here at the Millennium Stadium

:39:26. > :39:58.

:39:58. > :40:04.has come in for criticism now and Sanchez. You can see as he glanced

:40:04. > :40:14.the left foot, it slid from under him. This is quite a surprise.

:40:14. > :40:25.

:40:25. > :40:31.Hernandez has been substituted. I us watchers of the England

:40:31. > :40:41.Premiership. That is a surprising call from Santiago Phelan.

:40:41. > :40:41.

:40:41. > :41:29.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 61 seconds

:41:29. > :41:34.Especially with Sanchez not kicking shortly. The Argentine hooker was

:41:34. > :41:42.singled out by the referee for failing to roll away. Leigh

:41:42. > :41:52.Halfpenny will try and make them pay for it. The two were just lying

:41:52. > :41:56.

:41:56. > :42:06.there, not moving away. This would really drive home their slender

:42:06. > :42:15.

:42:15. > :42:23.advantage if they could get another good kickers. This would be a real

:42:23. > :42:33.kick in the teeth. Two misses by Sanchez. I would not expect

:42:33. > :43:04.

:43:04. > :43:09.it change the mindset of the Argentinian attack? Another

:43:09. > :43:14.replacement on to the field in the form of Agustin Creevy, who is one

:43:14. > :43:24.to look out for this afternoon. He is quite a flamboyant player, loves

:43:24. > :43:53.

:43:53. > :44:03.the offload. He plays his rugby in a starting place on the Toulon side,

:44:03. > :44:03.

:44:03. > :45:08.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 61 seconds

:45:18. > :45:52.

:45:52. > :46:01.goal again... It is two for Sanchez! I thought they weren't

:46:01. > :46:09.getting anywhere. He has missed two penalties and has another go at

:46:09. > :46:15.popping a drop goal over and nails that. It is not a bad tactic. We

:46:15. > :46:21.have had very few genuine try- scoring opportunities. When the

:47:43. > :47:52.

:47:52. > :47:59.isn't it? It is surprising but it is probably taking Wales' counter-

:20:03. > :20:10.now. Nothing risky. This is an indicator of how far Argentina have

:20:11. > :20:17.come. They have the ability to close games. They have been grand-

:20:17. > :20:27.slam winners and done it comfortably as well. In their two

:20:27. > :20:30.

:20:30. > :20:37.tries they created great support win. They played far, far better

:20:37. > :20:44.than Wales. A crushing blow for Wales. Defeat to Argentina in

:21:17. > :21:22.was good as tight-head. -- I thought Jarvis was good. Too many

:21:22. > :21:32.mistakes, handling errors. They played a little bit too deep. A lot

:21:32. > :21:39.of work to do and a short turnaround before a very physical

:22:11. > :22:17.world rankings. That victory will move Argentina 27. -- move

:22:17. > :22:26.Argentina up to 7th place. The battle for 4th place is key. The

:22:26. > :22:30.important thing is that you want to be in the top eight. That is a big

:22:30. > :22:34.result for Argentina and it could be a big result for Scotland as

:22:34. > :22:41.well. They will need to pick up at least one victory. They play New

:22:41. > :22:46.Zealand tomorrow and it is live on BBC One tomorrow afternoon. That

:22:46. > :22:50.was a quality performance by Argentina. Fantastic. They were

:22:50. > :22:57.physical, they got their offloading game going well, their wingers were

:22:57. > :23:02.great of the ball. It was superb. And they had a leader, man of the

:23:02. > :23:06.match. Congratulations, you have marked

:23:13. > :23:17.is this when, 11 years to be day -- to the day since the last beat

:23:17. > :23:21.Wales here in Cardiff. This is a great week for us. We have been

:23:21. > :23:31.searching for this win for a long time as a group. We are trying to

:23:31. > :23:32.

:23:32. > :23:35.develop. It is best stadium in the world. You are the first team to

:23:35. > :23:43.come here this year and be be grand slam champions. What message does

:23:43. > :23:48.this send out about her Argentine rugby is? The most in sudden thing

:23:48. > :23:53.-- important thing was to reaffirm what we're trying to do. We are so

:23:53. > :23:59.happy to win against such a good team. It is a great honour.

:23:59. > :24:05.Congratulations. The trophy presentation taking

:24:15. > :24:15.

:24:15. > :24:25.Absolutely sensational. Leguizamon could easily have been man of the

:24:25. > :24:29.

:24:29. > :24:39.match. In half comes from behind, in support, it is fantastic player.

:24:39. > :24:42.

:24:42. > :24:52.This comes from playing a top three in the world. When you offload like

:24:52. > :24:54.

:24:54. > :25:04.that, that momentum is difficult to stop. -- difficulties.. --

:25:04. > :25:07.

:25:07. > :25:13.Let's sure you the second Argentinian time. Fantastic finish?

:25:13. > :25:21.It was world class. They managed to get the ball wide. They put us

:25:21. > :25:27.under pressure. Another offload, this is class. One-handed catch,

:25:27. > :25:37.loads of work to do, and he still squeezes into the corner. That

:25:37. > :25:40.

:25:40. > :25:44.shows his skill, and then he has Those pictures show what it means

:25:44. > :25:54.to Argentina to have won the game. They are playing France next week

:25:54. > :25:56.

:25:57. > :26:00.and then Alan the week after that. Obviously there is a lot of

:26:00. > :26:04.frustration with today's performance. We know we are a

:26:04. > :26:10.better side. We did not show are a true ability and that is what is

:26:10. > :26:17.annoying. If we do not turn the ball over with the silly handling

:26:17. > :26:22.errors, we would be a better side. We need to pick ourselves up. We

:26:22. > :26:29.are a quality outfit but have to make sure we perform. Before a big

:26:30. > :26:33.game you said, this Welsh team is outstanding. The number of genuine

:26:33. > :26:43.opportunities that Wales had you can count on the fingers of one

:26:43. > :26:47.

:26:47. > :26:57.finger! I do not like seeing a good side play poorly. Were Britain was

:26:57. > :26:57.

:26:57. > :27:00.now one. Today. He did not seem to be in a game. The first try in the

:27:00. > :27:07.second half was straight up the middle, over the gain-line, round a

:27:07. > :27:12.corner with support offloading, scored a try. Wales were playing

:27:12. > :27:18.like a side that had been apart for a long time. They should have been

:27:18. > :27:25.more together. What positives do you take? We always ask rat when a

:27:25. > :27:34.team has been comprehensively beaten. We know we are better than

:27:34. > :27:40.that. Jervis had a cracking debut. We have got to build. We did get

:27:40. > :27:44.George North into their game, but we got him carrying. I preferred

:27:44. > :27:49.seen him used in space, one-on-one. That is where we would be better as

:27:50. > :27:57.aside. Wales did not get momentum, they did not play with speed or

:27:57. > :28:07.skill and they need to introduce that for the next game.

:28:07. > :28:09.

:28:09. > :28:13.Next, live from Dublin, Ireland versus South Africa. That is a big

:28:13. > :28:21.game as a consequence of the match that happened here this afternoon.

:28:21. > :28:26.Tonight, the best moments of England against Fiji. Tomorrow,

:28:26. > :28:29.Scotland against the All Blacks. Everybody is saying that New

:28:29. > :28:38.Zealand play rugby nobody else plays and that is a challenge for

:28:38. > :28:43.Scotland tomorrow. Offer is a quick word on that? Good luck Scotland,

:28:43. > :28:48.at New Zealand are an awesome team. Scotland fancy their chances.
