:00:48. > :00:56.Well taken and Chan said it will be a try. It is Huw Jones under the

:00:57. > :01:03.post. Beautiful from the Wallabies and a glorious try from Reece Hodge

:01:04. > :01:12.and Australia strike back. And Jones is in again. A remarkable game he is

:01:13. > :01:17.having. At the line and he has it down. The referee looking. Scotland

:01:18. > :01:26.celebrating. Australia are a man down. He is through and the tackle

:01:27. > :01:27.but the stretch and the try. It ends in smiles and celebrations for

:01:28. > :01:43.Australia. What a match. Good evening. It was 15 degrees here

:01:44. > :01:47.last week but tonight as you can see we have freezing winter re-darkness

:01:48. > :01:52.and a spectacular light show that is taking place and a red hot chilli

:01:53. > :02:00.Peppers on the field of play are playing to stop believing. That is

:02:01. > :02:07.the perennial model of Scottish rugby. Last week was very

:02:08. > :02:11.encouraging in many ways. There is real development in our side. 13

:02:12. > :02:14.months ago in the World Cup Scotland were leading in the last few minutes

:02:15. > :02:18.and were fortunate that they deserved to be in the lead last

:02:19. > :02:32.week. They outscored Australia three tries to two. It looked like

:02:33. > :02:39.Scotland had made some development but they need to win these tight

:02:40. > :02:45.games. From an Argentinian point of view this Argentinian team has been

:02:46. > :02:48.on a world tour basically. 15 internationals in 11 different

:02:49. > :02:53.countries. How much energy have they got left? Those numbers sum up what

:02:54. > :02:59.the Argentinian season has been so far. They got together is in January

:03:00. > :03:02.then they were off to New Zealand and Australia and South Africa and

:03:03. > :03:08.into the Rugby Championship and now on the back of a trip to Japan. It

:03:09. > :03:14.has been a tough schedule for them. In terms of where Argentina at the

:03:15. > :03:21.moment on that scale of development with you think they are? They are

:03:22. > :03:29.pretty well positioned but we have that sense that if we are not 100%

:03:30. > :03:35.we can lose against any team. On our day we can be very good but we can

:03:36. > :03:39.struggle again. It has been an extraordinary day of international

:03:40. > :03:44.rugby by the way. Italy beat South Africa for the first time and

:03:45. > :03:51.Georgia but Samoa so maybe there is a bit of a changing world order and

:03:52. > :03:55.earlier on an extraordinary match in Cardiff which Wales on with the last

:03:56. > :04:01.kick of the game. We will reflect on that at half-time. Highland

:04:02. > :04:05.Cathedral is played by a lone piper on the roof at Murrayfield. Scotland

:04:06. > :04:18.have fallen short in close games are. As the Scottish team comes out

:04:19. > :04:21.onto the field, the pre-match entertainment here it is good as

:04:22. > :04:25.anywhere, how do Scotland get over the line? They have to keep doing

:04:26. > :04:31.what they did last week. That close to the last week is only acceptable

:04:32. > :04:35.rest -- if they use it as a benchmark and improve. That is what

:04:36. > :04:40.they have to do tonight against different opposition but match that

:04:41. > :04:47.same level of quality and intensity and the accuracy that was there and

:04:48. > :04:54.that vibrancy they had an attack. If they match that I think they will

:04:55. > :04:59.get the winter night. You can't underestimate what winning does the

:05:00. > :05:03.whole confidence of the squad. This should be a good game because both

:05:04. > :05:13.sides play fast and attacking rugby. There is so much skill behind the

:05:14. > :05:19.scrum. Players are lining up already. I hope, armed with clubs

:05:20. > :06:02.and a hot topic in the commentary box. .

:06:03. > :08:48.A great sound and a wonderful crowd inside Murrayfield again, as it was

:08:49. > :08:54.previously. Expecting the match ball from the woman who won her second

:08:55. > :09:00.rowing gold in Rio. What a match between these two. A few changes in

:09:01. > :09:05.the pack for Scotland. Magnus Bradbury coming in to earn his first

:09:06. > :09:10.cap and Barkley moving to eight. Grant Gilchrist comes in. Array

:09:11. > :09:15.start -- respite for Fraser Brown. In place of Ross Ford. The fax was

:09:16. > :09:21.settled. Top try scorer Tommy Seymour tables take his place again

:09:22. > :09:26.on the wing. Huw Jones, how does he follow his performance last week?

:09:27. > :09:34.Argentina, Daniel Hourcade the coach has asked for the same 15 to recover

:09:35. > :09:40.their performance in Cardiff. They are led by Agustin Creevy. And a

:09:41. > :09:48.great talent at the break. The back line carries a real threat, even

:09:49. > :09:51.without their great winker. A mixture of kicking from Juan Martin

:09:52. > :10:01.Hernandez and Nicolas Sanchez and his 50th cap. On the bench, Ford and

:10:02. > :10:08.Ryan Wilson. A lot of experience waiting there for Argentina.

:10:09. > :10:16.And there is Heather Stanning, who along with Helen Glover won her

:10:17. > :10:21.second gold in the women's pair in Rio. She goes, we are ready. Then

:10:22. > :10:29.O'Keefe is the New Zealander referee. Telling everyone to calm

:10:30. > :10:37.down, I decide when the match starts, says Ben. We are ready now.

:10:38. > :10:39.Finn Russell, what a game he had against dust earlier. On a cold,

:10:40. > :10:49.clear night at Murrayfield. Strange this evening to think of the

:10:50. > :10:53.World Cup in Japan in three years, but this match could have a

:10:54. > :10:58.significant bearing with the draw made in May. These sides sitting

:10:59. > :11:09.eighth and ninth in the world rankings at the moment.

:11:10. > :11:26.Great conditions for rugby this evening.

:11:27. > :12:25.Advantage to Scotland. Agustin Creevy was over there and told

:12:26. > :12:32.Argentina... You had one go. The ultimate offence and Greig Laidlaw

:12:33. > :12:36.will have a proper go. A very tidy start by Scotland. A good start by

:12:37. > :12:44.Scotland. Good evening. Interesting to see that the kicking game, high

:12:45. > :12:54.balls. This was initially OK. Hands off, said the referee. That is a

:12:55. > :12:57.kicking game. At the start of the game, the referee will put his

:12:58. > :13:04.marker down. You need a bit of extra discipline. Great conditions for a

:13:05. > :13:08.kicker. Greig Laidlaw is one of the most accurate in the game. The

:13:09. > :13:15.chance to give Scotland early points.

:13:16. > :13:39.We saw a good start from Scotland last week against Australia. A good

:13:40. > :13:48.start is crucial. The height that one Hernandez -- Juan Martin

:13:49. > :14:05.Hernandez can get! Jonny Gray from Oban, the first

:14:06. > :14:36.international from that side. Some intricate manoeuvres by

:14:37. > :15:02.Argentina, but well read. Penalty to Scotland. Round his neck

:15:03. > :15:06.was the call and something the referees are being very tight on.

:15:07. > :15:10.Anything above the chest will be penalised. They have to. It is

:15:11. > :15:15.essential to the game that you make certain that their health is

:15:16. > :15:19.paramount. It is a silly penalty to give away, Argentina under no

:15:20. > :15:28.pressure whatsoever, forcing things a little bit and suddenly a second

:15:29. > :15:30.penalty in the first five minutes. That was a one Martinez special, one

:15:31. > :15:51.that cold out. The great game for Hamish Watson

:15:52. > :16:26.against Australia last weekend. Just lost in the challenge. We've

:16:27. > :16:28.seen Argentina try this to a three times before. The attacking players

:16:29. > :16:37.were looking for a lazy defender in that inside channel. Already we say

:16:38. > :16:41.two different types of defence. Scotland have put a lot of pressure

:16:42. > :16:47.on Argentina and Argentina are allowing that, which is why Scotland

:16:48. > :16:50.have had so much possession. An area of the game in which despite the

:16:51. > :16:51.problems in Cardiff that Argentina would think they would have the

:16:52. > :17:30.edge. Technique is all. Ramiro Herrera is a bearer of a man,

:17:31. > :17:33.large of the body. Scrimmage last week about six or nine inches to

:17:34. > :17:41.rarely put himself under huge pressure. He is powerful and can be

:17:42. > :17:48.very powerful. Why would the referee reset that scrum? The ball hadn't

:17:49. > :17:51.gone back, why would he reset it? The forwards, you would say give us

:17:52. > :18:01.a break. It's only the start of the game. Great game for Zander

:18:02. > :18:14.Fagerson. He had his problems in the scrum last week. First scrum was

:18:15. > :18:19.fine, good space. The first scrum was fine, but was the ball not going

:18:20. > :18:22.anywhere? As long as it is at the back, it's OK. It looked like the

:18:23. > :18:29.ball was slow getting to the back. The ball could have been played and

:18:30. > :18:37.we could have seen action. They are strong enough. As long as the ball

:18:38. > :18:46.is there. Ben O'Keefe just loves scrums. Penalty to Argentina. Hard

:18:47. > :18:51.to see what happened there, but Fagerson had trouble last week. He

:18:52. > :18:55.went down but his leg shot back and he needs to try to get his knees

:18:56. > :18:59.underneath his chest of it more. Penalty to Argentina after those

:19:00. > :19:11.three scrums and Juan Martin Hernandez, big mistake from

:19:12. > :19:13.Alemanno. That really is the cardinal sin from penalty, missing

:19:14. > :19:55.touch. Scotland with so much ball in the

:19:56. > :20:11.early minutes and then a spell from Zander Fagerson. Argentina's scrum.

:20:12. > :20:16.The referee keeping everyone on their toes. The pass was a little

:20:17. > :20:25.low, he will be frustrated. Scotland have lost possession. A really

:20:26. > :20:28.accurate pasta Sean Maitland and Tommy Seymour was trying to outflank

:20:29. > :20:32.the Argentinian defence. The Argentinian defence do not come

:20:33. > :20:38.progressively at you. Long passes like that dogs terrorise them too

:20:39. > :20:44.much. They can compete hard at the breakdown. Just look at the

:20:45. > :20:53.territory while in possession. Scotland have had plenty of that.

:20:54. > :21:01.If he's giving you space, go into the space, OK? Just come across so

:21:02. > :21:09.there is gaps, OK? Let's go, last time.

:21:10. > :21:23.Fraser Brown seemed he wanted a bit of space. Just need MySpace. Not a

:21:24. > :21:26.chance, kid. Make it tough for him. The Argentinian captain has

:21:27. > :21:34.experience, Agustin Creevy. Neither scrum at the moment with a

:21:35. > :21:53.real upper hand. Sanchez is on his 50th cap, the fly

:21:54. > :22:16.half. Argentina, a rare opportunity with the ball.

:22:17. > :22:21.Scotland will have the scrum and for a moment it looked lively and

:22:22. > :22:28.enterprising from Argentina, but just a mistake at the end from

:22:29. > :22:34.Orlando. It created the opportunity. Some hard-driving runs, created the

:22:35. > :22:38.space on the edge. Agustin Creevy is such an accomplished ball-carrier,

:22:39. > :22:40.he did well to take that. They have been attacking close to the

:22:41. > :22:44.breakdown because they saw Finn Russell close the defence. Once

:22:45. > :22:49.Argentina got the space, they couldn't quite execute the past.

:22:50. > :22:55.I've been excited by this selection. The starting Scottish 15 had the

:22:56. > :23:00.better of the Australian team, but they were lacking the strength and

:23:01. > :23:06.depth on the bench. Suddenly there were all these changes. He needs

:23:07. > :23:10.depth all the time. He needs to make sure they fill in the gap when it is

:23:11. > :23:19.needed. Three changes to this pack. Free kick to Scotland.

:23:20. > :23:25.Barkley really was a tower of strength for Scotland last week. --

:23:26. > :24:09.John Barclay. It was a steal from the captain,

:24:10. > :24:14.Creevy, leading by example. In close quarters it was really accurate. We

:24:15. > :24:23.will see the strength of Argentinian individuals. This is an excellent

:24:24. > :24:28.example. It is not Creevy. Is that Pablo Matera? Wonderful. The

:24:29. > :24:33.anticipation of where the ball will be and to get in and the bravery and

:24:34. > :24:36.the passion to get that back. Explain again why this much might be

:24:37. > :24:43.so important in that these other sites ranked, Argentina eight and

:24:44. > :24:46.Scotland nine. If you are in the top eight, it makes things a good deal

:24:47. > :24:54.easier for the World Cup. I know it is three years away, but the draw is

:24:55. > :24:57.made sooner. Argentina only have one more match before the draw for the

:24:58. > :25:01.World Cup and that is against England next week. Scotland could

:25:02. > :25:06.regress in the Six Nations or they could go for the forward, but

:25:07. > :25:10.Argentina's race in terms of the world rankings will be just about

:25:11. > :25:12.done. If you get into that top eight, it can make things a whole

:25:13. > :25:59.lot easier. Some mistakes from both sides, but

:26:00. > :26:06.Argentina certainly with a few that have cost them. Last week, when they

:26:07. > :26:09.went to play against Wales, there was something a little

:26:10. > :26:13.disappointing. They have turned up today to not play like that. It

:26:14. > :26:16.looks as if they are fatigued. They are not running, putting the right

:26:17. > :26:22.line. That was a mix-up between two forwards. What they are doing is

:26:23. > :26:29.correct, they are not executing with accuracy. You two have travelled a

:26:30. > :26:36.fair bit to get to matches. Argentina, because they now all play

:26:37. > :26:40.in Argentina, the mileage they must rack up will take its toll. I

:26:41. > :26:46.haven't recovered from Chicago a couple of weeks ago, so these guys

:26:47. > :26:48.have to be knackered. Argentina playing Japan in Tokyo and here they

:26:49. > :27:00.are now. That scrum is something for

:27:01. > :27:07.Argentina to take forward. That was brilliant. A huge amount of

:27:08. > :27:13.pressure. What you're taught as a young kid is never ship rubbish to

:27:14. > :27:17.the next guy. You are under that much pressure, you can't shuffle

:27:18. > :27:27.around outside. Straight into another scrum test. Ben O'Keefe, the

:27:28. > :27:38.referee, the New Zealander, trying to make his instructions clear.

:27:39. > :27:57.Zander Fagerson needs his legs back. Pivoting on his hips and down to the

:27:58. > :28:02.ground. He needs to get his right knee up underneath him a bit more to

:28:03. > :28:07.keep that pressure. There's an awful lot of weight coming through,

:28:08. > :28:18.Argentinian beef, I suppose. Zander Fagerson has been touted for a long

:28:19. > :28:21.time. He is still 20. He learns so much in the first 20 minutes of this

:28:22. > :28:33.game. Down it goes again and the referee

:28:34. > :28:53.says, use it under which they do eventually.

:28:54. > :29:10.A lot of play happening in the Argentinian half now.

:29:11. > :29:18.Nothing in that, said the referee. Complaints from the Argentinian is

:29:19. > :29:26.about possible obstruction. Martin Landajo was saying exactly that, but

:29:27. > :29:30.it will be a Scotland 22. He felt Hamish Watson slid too quickly.

:29:31. > :29:43.Tommy Seymour covered well. A busy game so far. Argentina are

:29:44. > :29:59.beginning to find a little more territorial and possession.

:30:00. > :30:03.A wasted opportunity for the home side. Back they come, scuffles

:30:04. > :30:15.breaking out. Magnus Bradbury enjoying

:30:16. > :30:25.international rugby. He won't take a backward step. He is physical,

:30:26. > :30:29.beyond his years, Magnus Bradbury. I remember trying to rustle up Phil

:30:30. > :30:33.Kearns in my first test just to let him know I was there and I came out

:30:34. > :30:44.second best! Argentina have the penalty and it

:30:45. > :31:14.was quickly taken. That was dangerous for Scotland.

:31:15. > :31:17.Argentina just beginning to look dangerous, with Martin Landajo at

:31:18. > :31:53.the centre of things. The game has come alive.

:31:54. > :32:03.Scotland get the penalty will stop we had plenty of cries of holding.

:32:04. > :32:08.They were heard by the referee. For kids watching, look at number seven,

:32:09. > :32:13.Hamish Watson, straight down on the ball, not resting on his elbows, no

:32:14. > :32:26.option for the referee. He is good at that, Hamish Watson. Slightly

:32:27. > :32:29.before that, a pool position from Desio. Scotland's workrate was far

:32:30. > :32:52.better. Ross Ford is getting ready because

:32:53. > :33:01.Fraser Brown is off. It is a blood replacement, but it is cap 101. Ross

:33:02. > :33:03.Ford on very early for this attacking line-out, Fraser Brown

:33:04. > :33:07.will return once he has been patched up. An opportunity here for

:33:08. > :34:32.Scotland. Juan Martin Hernandez loves a low

:34:33. > :34:51.scudding kick controlled deftly. should be a good game because both

:34:52. > :35:02.sides play fast and attacking rugby. Spilled blood gathered well. So

:35:03. > :35:06.Argentina's scrum. It is an even contest. A few mistakes from either

:35:07. > :35:17.side but not much caught the given. A lot of pressure at the breakdown

:35:18. > :35:20.coming through. Matias Moroni getting right onto Greg Laidlaw. I

:35:21. > :35:29.think he needs to get that away quicker. It may have been pulled out

:35:30. > :35:36.of his hand but he was offside in the first place. He needed to make

:35:37. > :35:39.certain the gap was there. That puts players under pressure and players

:35:40. > :35:45.get very frustrated when that happens. The two packs are roughing

:35:46. > :35:59.each other up a little bit. The Lu said his down injured Ramiro

:36:00. > :36:05.Herrera. -- Ramiro Herrera. A bit of the action. Martin Landajo has been

:36:06. > :36:14.the real danger for Argentina so far. He knows that Santiago Cordero

:36:15. > :36:18.is on his shoulder. You need your team to react when you take a quick

:36:19. > :36:27.tap. Argentina moving the ball to the outside channels and trying to

:36:28. > :36:35.pick it along the ground but Matias Moroni was dragged into touch.

:36:36. > :36:38.Argentina have changed the game over the last few years as they went into

:36:39. > :36:44.the Rugby Championship. They knew they had to play a more expansive

:36:45. > :36:47.game to compete on a more regular basis with the other southern

:36:48. > :36:52.hemisphere sides. And even contest at the scrum. Martin Landajo

:36:53. > :36:59.rosettes to Nicolas Sanchez. It went backwards. It still went backwards.

:37:00. > :37:04.Eventually there was a knock-on by Argentina. Mistakes from them but

:37:05. > :37:09.good pressure from the Scottish defence. When a mistake is made to

:37:10. > :37:19.shovel it onto somebody else. That could have easily ended up with a

:37:20. > :37:27.try underneath the posts. Huw Jones putting the pressure on. He can be

:37:28. > :37:33.wider and look and see and he makes the crucial decision whether to go

:37:34. > :37:40.hard or set of. He had a great game last week. The feedback from the

:37:41. > :37:46.players is that he is so powerful and quick. He defended well and

:37:47. > :37:50.attacked well and scored two tries. Scotland are looking for strength in

:37:51. > :37:59.depth and they have that in the centre. Meanwhile the scrum goes

:38:00. > :38:24.down. I love the scrum. But this messing

:38:25. > :38:33.around is frustrating for viewers and players. Let's see if we can

:38:34. > :38:36.have a clean one. Argentina drove through Scotland once but apart from

:38:37. > :38:48.that it's been very even. 26 minutes gone. A different game to that game

:38:49. > :38:57.last week here. Down on this side again and this time the decision is

:38:58. > :39:01.a penalty to Scotland. I think sometimes it's the luck of the draw.

:39:02. > :39:12.That was not even in the right position. He has penalised Lucas

:39:13. > :39:20.Noguera. A very good Argentinian coach. Every player is born and

:39:21. > :39:22.raised in Argentina. They were the only side in the World Cup to have

:39:23. > :39:38.all 35 players born in the country. Greg Laidlaw gets the hash of

:39:39. > :39:59.Murrayfield. Scotland are taking their chances

:40:00. > :40:05.through the trusted root of Greg Laidlaw and they lead by six points.

:40:06. > :40:09.It is a tense match at the moment. It doesn't have the feeling of a

:40:10. > :40:15.free-flowing friendly. It's as if both sides know there is something

:40:16. > :40:19.at stake. Not much between the teams and it's important to Scotland to

:40:20. > :40:23.get back into Argentinian territory. Last week Wales could not shake off

:40:24. > :40:29.the Argentinians and they were always in the game. Jones takes it.

:40:30. > :40:35.It went backwards says the referee but then there was a little tap

:40:36. > :40:42.forward. I don't think Grant Gilchrist was expecting that. One of

:40:43. > :40:49.the elements is the score is over when you've got kick off and gone

:40:50. > :40:53.back into the opposite -- opposition's half. Those mistakes

:40:54. > :40:58.are frustrating for players but the coach goes ballistic. Given he was

:40:59. > :41:06.holding out his hands saying give me the ball. Both teams guilty of

:41:07. > :41:12.handling errors in the first half and hour. Cannot get any flow into

:41:13. > :41:23.the game at all of the moment. Look at the attacking position now for

:41:24. > :41:28.Argentina. A solid scrum. Matias Orlando braking and there is a real

:41:29. > :41:36.chance for Argentina. Up to within metres of the line. The forwards

:41:37. > :41:46.pouring into secure it. Argentina battering away at the Scottish

:41:47. > :41:58.defence. Facundo Isa is there again. The Lu said Lucas Noguera is in.

:41:59. > :42:07.Agustin Creevy the captain just held short. Martin Landajo can't quite

:42:08. > :42:13.get there. Scotland's defence right on the line. Meeting every assault

:42:14. > :42:17.from Argentina at the moment. Argentina burrowing their way in.

:42:18. > :42:23.Trying to get the ball down. The referee will say held up so the

:42:24. > :42:29.danger is averted for a moment but it will be a five metre scrum to

:42:30. > :42:38.Argentina. The game has scandalised. A solid scrum. Look at that line by

:42:39. > :42:46.Matias Orlando, straight through Finn Russell. A really good attack

:42:47. > :42:53.by Argentina. He knew his centre partner was there. Argentina have an

:42:54. > :42:56.average of 16 off-loads the game. My favourite aspect of watching

:42:57. > :43:02.Argentina play is that somebody always runs a positive line. They

:43:03. > :43:09.expect there to be an off-load. It makes it beautiful to watch. This is

:43:10. > :43:13.an Argentinian forward you would be licking your lips. Five metres out.

:43:14. > :43:23.Options either side for the backs as well. Martin Landajo peers across at

:43:24. > :43:30.options behind the scrum. Will the forwards take it on themselves?

:43:31. > :43:36.Scotland not yielding at the moment. Just a bit of movement. Down it

:43:37. > :43:41.goes. Referee says advantage to Argentina. A free attack for them.

:43:42. > :43:53.They will come back for that penalty. It might be a scrum again.

:43:54. > :43:57.Overextending and it causes the collapse. All the pressure is there.

:43:58. > :44:02.You are trying to hold your position and you want your feet behind you if

:44:03. > :44:08.you are in a low one of position but if you are too far back anyway that

:44:09. > :44:14.goes on you don't have the centre of gravity to be able to hold that

:44:15. > :44:21.position. There is not much in that. Scotland were fairly strong. He just

:44:22. > :44:30.eventually went down. Just a little bit of extra body position and it

:44:31. > :44:40.goes against you. Shake of the head from Zander Ferguson. Murrayfield

:44:41. > :44:46.calls for some desperate defence. Argentina trying to get the shelf

:44:47. > :44:57.and it is moving forward. The referee tells him to use it. Nicolas

:44:58. > :45:03.Sanchez can't quite get to the line. Argentina. It is hacked on by Greg

:45:04. > :45:11.Laidlaw. Santiago Cordero gets back for Argentina. The referee says it

:45:12. > :45:18.went forward. The celebrations from Scotland and an opportunity missed

:45:19. > :45:32.by Argentina. It was a more dominant scrum by Argentina. Fraser Brown is

:45:33. > :45:37.rejoining us after his blood injury. There was a wonderful try saving

:45:38. > :45:43.tackle. Here it is. Hamish Watson and Finn Russell. Hamish Watson gets

:45:44. > :45:47.underneath Nicolas Sanchez. And there was the competition at the

:45:48. > :46:00.breakdown. That could be a big influence on the match. There is

:46:01. > :46:06.Hamish Watson and a scrum to Scotland on the Tenby Dylan. Ross

:46:07. > :46:13.Ford is fun Fraser Brown having been stitched up is back into the front

:46:14. > :46:19.row. I don't know what the referee is looking for now because there is

:46:20. > :46:32.an element of psychology. Agustin Creevy pleading with the referee.

:46:33. > :46:41.Sander Ferguson down. James Robinson in attendance. The dark that's

:46:42. > :46:44.happened on that front row and if a player is collapsing you tend to put

:46:45. > :46:48.pressure down. It's very hard for the referee to see that but you know

:46:49. > :46:57.you're doing it yourself in the scrum. It's difficult for us

:46:58. > :47:03.watching to appreciate how brutal life is in the front row. Everything

:47:04. > :47:08.in their is taking such a toll on the body. A couple of tonnes of

:47:09. > :47:21.pressure across those shoulders and they have to try and deal with at

:47:22. > :47:29.all the time. Fraser Brown in the heart of the Scottish front row.

:47:30. > :47:37.Scotland have been experiencing a good deal of pressure for the last

:47:38. > :47:42.few minutes. The initial pressure was all on Scotland. It felt as if

:47:43. > :47:55.it was going forward Scotland's way. Penalty to Scotland. Martin Landajo

:47:56. > :48:02.is penalised for being offside. It looked as if the ball squirted out

:48:03. > :48:08.of the scrum. A better second phase by Scotland. The ball is not out of

:48:09. > :48:19.the scrum. Finn Russell kicks the touch. The referee having a word

:48:20. > :48:24.with Martin Landajo. It has gone a bit quiet in Murrayfield. Five

:48:25. > :48:29.minutes to go in the first half. Just those two penalties by Greg

:48:30. > :48:33.Laidlaw and Scotland back into the Argentinian half. Safely taken by

:48:34. > :48:43.John Barclay. Sean Maitland culling off the wing. A slip either winger.

:48:44. > :48:52.Argentina think they might have it and they do get the scrum. Greg

:48:53. > :48:55.Laidlaw is been used. Very hard to get any momentum in a game when

:48:56. > :49:03.everything is stop start. We're not seeing a huge amount of multiphase

:49:04. > :49:07.plague. You get a bit cranky and you are waiting for the next chance to

:49:08. > :49:14.do something with the ball and you force things a bit too much. Agustin

:49:15. > :49:17.Creevy is the perfect shape for that jackal position but they do it in

:49:18. > :49:27.numbers. They were putting pressure on the ball carrier. The final few

:49:28. > :49:31.minutes of the first half. Two sides that can be so entertaining and they

:49:32. > :49:36.were signs of life earlier in the match but it's become a more cagey

:49:37. > :49:45.affair and a lot of scrums. The referee says use it so away we go.

:49:46. > :49:51.Nicolas Sanchez finding touch. Stuart Hogg with no thoughts of

:49:52. > :49:57.taking a quick one. Good game management by Juan Martin Hernandez.

:49:58. > :50:06.He knew exactly what he was doing. The Argentinians getting some

:50:07. > :50:11.territory. The forwards love it when they lift their heads up from the

:50:12. > :50:27.scrum and see the ball ahead of them. Fraser Brown looking to hit is

:50:28. > :50:37.Mark again. It is Scotland's all. Greg Laidlaw with the box-kick.

:50:38. > :50:48.Forward comes the winger Matias Moroni and he dated well. Argentina

:50:49. > :50:59.with another chance to attack. Argentina do have a penalty. Not

:51:00. > :51:02.releasing the man. An interesting decision by Argentina but it's the

:51:03. > :51:06.right decision to go for goal. They have had a lot of pressure since

:51:07. > :51:12.Scotland's second penalty when Scotland failed to take Catt care of

:51:13. > :51:17.the restart. Hamish Watson was in. It's whether the tackle was

:51:18. > :51:23.complete. Yes, a good call by the referee. The tackle is completed.

:51:24. > :51:31.Hamish Watson must give clear release. A good call by the referee.

:51:32. > :51:38.It will be Nicolas Sanchez with the penalty attempt. An opportunity to

:51:39. > :51:50.get points on the board for Argentina. It's a good kick.

:51:51. > :51:56.Argentina get something for all their efforts. I don't think many of

:51:57. > :52:02.us have predicted 6-3 at this stage of the match because both sides have

:52:03. > :52:06.shown how good they can be an attack but it has settled into a cagey

:52:07. > :52:12.much. There have been a lot of mistakes. They have been knock-on

:52:13. > :52:25.Zander unforced errors. Scotland with the hanging restart. Taken well

:52:26. > :52:30.by Pablo Matera. Argentina come forward through Juan Martin

:52:31. > :52:34.Hernandez. He is 34 now. Joaquin Tuculet takes a bit of time and

:52:35. > :52:40.finds touch. We will have time for one final passage of play. All the

:52:41. > :52:44.noise around Murrayfield last week has been replaced by something a bit

:52:45. > :52:50.quieter this week. This is where Scotland have to make an effort to

:52:51. > :52:56.try and double their efforts to get a big psychological effect if you

:52:57. > :53:01.can score points close to half time. It's a good attacking line-out. They

:53:02. > :53:05.should be trying to score points before going into the changing

:53:06. > :53:20.rooms. Over the top and Argentina have the final attack. Ramiro

:53:21. > :53:27.Herrera. Full. Sean Maitland takes it well over his head and calls the

:53:28. > :53:33.mark. They might head for the sheds. Sean Maitland picks it up. An

:53:34. > :53:38.interesting half. No tries and three penalties. Fearne Cotton goes in to

:53:39. > :53:48.give his jab and what will he be saying? He will be looking for more

:53:49. > :53:49.accuracy in the second half. At half-time it is Scotland six,

:53:50. > :54:15.Argentina three. If last Saturday it was Argentina

:54:16. > :54:23.against Wales and it was 6-3 then. Very few try scoring opportunities

:54:24. > :54:27.and no tries over. One thing you can always rely on is Greg Laidlaw's but

:54:28. > :54:32.and he kicked two penalties to give Scotland a 6-point lead. Then

:54:33. > :54:41.Nicolas Sanchez with that penalty right at the end. It is a bit after

:54:42. > :54:45.the Lord Mayor 's show because last week at Murrayfield we had the most

:54:46. > :54:51.fantastic free-flowing entertaining match and Andy this is not it. No

:54:52. > :54:55.but rugby can be very different. Scotland have tried to play like

:54:56. > :55:01.last week but the circumstances are not allowing that. They are slightly

:55:02. > :55:04.off. The accuracy and intensity is not there. But what you have to do

:55:05. > :55:11.is find a way to try and get your impact and get your game on and

:55:12. > :55:19.there has been summary mistakes no momentum. I disappointed by the

:55:20. > :55:25.Pumas? Yes. I expected but we better. One of the things I heard

:55:26. > :55:31.after the Welsh game is they wanted to impose their attacking style and

:55:32. > :55:34.it has not happened. A few individual attempts by Martin

:55:35. > :55:39.Landajo but we have not seen much flow the attacking game. Martin

:55:40. > :55:44.Landajo has been the beacon on either side and as a scrum half you

:55:45. > :55:48.must be enjoying him. He has had a few moments in the game. Argentina

:55:49. > :55:55.take this into the middle. Hamish Watson is the defender Andy puts is

:55:56. > :56:03.high -- and up. He cannot leave that area. His eyes look up to is left

:56:04. > :56:06.and Martin Landajo senses it and goes through. Hamish Watson had to

:56:07. > :56:15.stay there and stop that. They did this a few times. The chip through

:56:16. > :56:21.and it comes to nothing. It is a show and go and he is a very busy

:56:22. > :56:26.player. He is very quick and he likes to have go the fringes.

:56:27. > :56:32.Similar to last week when they scored that tried the reactions were

:56:33. > :56:36.not quite as good. This is what he did so well last week, he brought

:56:37. > :56:40.the pace and tempo into it and that is what the first have needed. Yet

:56:41. > :56:43.again it goes wide and they go for the grubber kick through. They get

:56:44. > :56:50.the ricochet and get tackled a detached. He has had the two moments

:56:51. > :56:56.of inspiration in the game where he has brought some pace and intensity.

:56:57. > :57:02.They have been very few line breaks in the game. There was an

:57:03. > :57:11.Argentinian one for a five-minute before half-time. Yes. Argentina

:57:12. > :57:17.were thinking that Scotland would be worrying about them coming around

:57:18. > :57:23.and they had a hardline and put Matias Orlando in a one-on-one

:57:24. > :57:26.against the ten. He picks on Finn Russell. He goes straight at him and

:57:27. > :57:33.does that off-load which is exactly what you want to get right in behind

:57:34. > :57:37.the Scottish defence. The scramble defence was very effective. Matias

:57:38. > :57:44.Orlando and straight at him. They have identified Finn Russell's

:57:45. > :57:52.defence. Sometimes in that area get the players scanning what is

:57:53. > :57:59.happening. Obviously Matias Orlando on that one-on-one. If you are the

:58:00. > :58:05.defender Andy got somebody who is 1617 stone running at you, what you

:58:06. > :58:13.do? You have to go low. Matias Orlando is not as big as Jamie

:58:14. > :58:17.Roberts but he can carry the ball. You talk about collisions and it is

:58:18. > :58:22.by winning the collisions and most of that is on the forward play.

:58:23. > :58:27.Matias Orlando on that collision. Finn Russell won't win many battles

:58:28. > :58:33.because he's not that big. Normally he would go low. We had a succession

:58:34. > :58:38.of evidence to Scotland and another one today. What do you make of him?

:58:39. > :58:45.He looks comfortable and that is what you are looking for. It is a

:58:46. > :58:47.big step. It has not been the hardest game by him. The kick off

:58:48. > :58:52.the streets doing and first touch, he did well. This has what he's done

:58:53. > :59:00.all season for Edinburgh. He's got real power and pace. Here he is

:59:01. > :59:05.under pressure but he takes the line at and he sets it up. He has done

:59:06. > :59:12.nothing spectacular but he can cope with the pace of international

:59:13. > :59:18.rugby. It has been physical but he looks to the Manor born at the

:59:19. > :59:25.moment. We rushed on a because Andy Murray was playing tennis and he has

:59:26. > :59:31.just one and he will play in the final tomorrow. We had all set up

:59:32. > :59:38.before the programme this huge feature about what a brilliant

:59:39. > :59:51.figure from hand Juan Martin Hernandez is an today he has been

:59:52. > :59:59.awful. He can release pressure from the fly-half but this time he missed

:00:00. > :00:05.touch and as you can see now again he puts a good 50 metre kick in that

:00:06. > :00:13.he fails to find touch. Once again the years. Not getting the best

:00:14. > :00:20.impact on the ball. That is not his style. He is still an amazing

:00:21. > :00:27.player. Fantastic but it sums up a lot of those kicks, the contact

:00:28. > :00:30.wasn't good. We have seen passes, Greg Laidlaw has put out a few

:00:31. > :00:35.sloppy passes. Last week they were really on the money. Everyone seems

:00:36. > :00:49.to be 10% down today computer last week. What have you made of the

:00:50. > :00:55.scrums? It has been a tough week for the two debit and from last week to

:00:56. > :00:58.really in their international career. Allan Dell and Zander

:00:59. > :01:04.Fagerson did well last week but they are under pressure today. It has not

:01:05. > :01:09.impacted so far on the game in terms of penalties but the ball sits there

:01:10. > :01:15.are so long and nobody wants to win it. I think with the scrum get the

:01:16. > :01:18.ball in and get it out. If you are Argentina and you know you have an

:01:19. > :01:28.advantage can understand why they are trying to get penalties. Keith

:01:29. > :01:34.Wood, tell us is what is happening. I love scrummaging but the problem

:01:35. > :01:43.for Zander Fagerson in particular, he is a big man and his young man

:01:44. > :01:52.and his legs are a long way back to when pressure is put down on him he

:01:53. > :01:56.is not able to sustain it. In this instance he got a bit too high so we

:01:57. > :02:00.need is to bring his right leg underneath his chest a bit to get

:02:01. > :02:09.his centre of gravity and a strong position. He will learn. I thought

:02:10. > :02:13.the referee blew too early on that one. Argentina are putting a lot of

:02:14. > :02:21.weight on here in a huge mud of pressure. The pressure comes in and

:02:22. > :02:27.he goes down. If Zander Fagerson's right leg is up further he could

:02:28. > :02:30.sustain some of that pressure. I thought they were very lucky because

:02:31. > :02:37.I thought the same thing happened here. He just needs to get his scrum

:02:38. > :02:41.coach to talk to him beforehand to make certain he does that and take

:02:42. > :02:49.some of the pressure off. It's the only thing that keeping Argentina in

:02:50. > :02:54.the game. Nice hack by the way! I mentioned at the start it has been

:02:55. > :03:00.an extraordinary day of rugby so far. Let's show you what's happened.

:03:01. > :03:10.Georgia but Samoa which is a big win for them. Italy beat South Africa

:03:11. > :03:17.today for the first time in their history. Tonga have just beaten the

:03:18. > :03:31.USA. New Zealand have scored a few early tries against Ireland. The one

:03:32. > :03:34.in the middle, Wales against Japan. What a game. Here are some of the

:03:35. > :03:50.moments. There is a real urgency to Japan.

:03:51. > :04:00.Here we go. Try. Wales try and shut down possession. They have succeeded

:04:01. > :04:09.in that. Was that out of play? No. Lay on and it's going to be tried

:04:10. > :04:18.for the replacement. Taken wide away from the perfect tropical position.

:04:19. > :04:26.He is in the pocket. This is a chance. That should be a penalty.

:04:27. > :04:32.Nailed it. He likes it. The drop goal is good and there are seconds

:04:33. > :04:40.remaining but that should And it did and Sam Davies writes

:04:41. > :04:51.himself a footnote in Welsh rugby history. England playing Fiji today

:04:52. > :04:57.and highlights follow this game. Australia play New Zealand tomorrow.

:04:58. > :04:59.Match of the day to night. The tennis final tomorrow. Andy Murray

:05:00. > :05:19.is in it. Where do we start? Scotland play Georgia next week. The

:05:20. > :05:25.won South Africa are in a world of problems at the moment. There is a

:05:26. > :05:30.new order in world rugby. That is great for the game. It has been too

:05:31. > :05:34.narrow for so along. Georgia are coming up. That 80 minutes in

:05:35. > :05:40.Kilmarnock next Saturday could be very difficult. It could be an

:05:41. > :05:47.interesting game. What is your take on Italy beating South Africa for

:05:48. > :05:53.the first? Surprised. We know that South Africa aren't playing their

:05:54. > :05:58.best at the minute, but you would expect to win comfortably against

:05:59. > :06:02.Italy. It didn't happen. More than one person has been caught by

:06:03. > :06:05.surprise. It makes it interesting in terms of that whole great debate

:06:06. > :06:11.about should the Six Nations be a closed shop or should Georgia be in

:06:12. > :06:15.it? Who goes out of it if they are? To be continued. Scotland and

:06:16. > :06:19.Georgia next week will be an interesting game. That is on the

:06:20. > :06:24.BBC. Let's speak to Chris Paterson. Last week, we spoke about free

:06:25. > :06:29.blowing quick thinking Scotland. It is a different site tonight. I said

:06:30. > :06:32.towards the end of the first half, it is probably down to mistakes more

:06:33. > :06:35.than anything else. Neither team have been able to get momentum into

:06:36. > :06:39.the game by retaining possession for long enough. There have been good

:06:40. > :06:43.tackles, good competition in the breakdown, but a lot of knock-on is,

:06:44. > :06:47.it has disrupted the flow. Scotland come alive when they can get that

:06:48. > :06:53.quick ball play and there were only two or three opportunities from

:06:54. > :06:59.Argentina. A lovely off-loaded and one or two nice pieces of play. Vern

:07:00. > :07:08.Cotter will be looking for his Scottish guys to do better. Is there

:07:09. > :07:12.one specific area Scotland need to improve to be able to improve Ali

:07:13. > :07:16.increase the pace of the game? Ball retention. The Argentinians are not

:07:17. > :07:20.putting a great deal of pressure on the defence, they are allowing

:07:21. > :07:23.Scotland to play. If they can keep the ball in and around the

:07:24. > :07:26.breakdown, it should allow them to be more effective. We can see the

:07:27. > :07:32.Argentinians coming back for the second half. It's not making an

:07:33. > :07:39.excuse, but we mentioned at the start of the match, how tired I

:07:40. > :07:42.these guys? They have been almost like a Bruce Springsteen world tour,

:07:43. > :07:46.one continent to another, endlessly playing rugby. This is towards the

:07:47. > :07:51.end of that journey, one more match next week against England at

:07:52. > :07:56.Twickenham. Do they look like a team that are running out of petrol? To

:07:57. > :08:02.be honest, they are good enough to be much better than what we have

:08:03. > :08:08.seen so far from them. They may be tired, but they were targeting three

:08:09. > :08:12.wins. They lost against Wales, so today can be a very important game

:08:13. > :08:16.for Argentina in these internationals. It is a huge 40

:08:17. > :08:23.minutes for them and for Scotland, going back to the world rankings.

:08:24. > :08:26.Last week's defeat was only, you accept if they push on and get a

:08:27. > :08:30.win. The performance hasn't been there. If they increase their

:08:31. > :08:33.accuracy, stop mistakes, this is an important 40 minutes and I think

:08:34. > :08:37.they can do that. We are looking for a try from either side.

:08:38. > :08:42.COMMENTATOR: Looking around the pitch, can't see any changes from

:08:43. > :08:47.either side. As we were and Juan Martin Hernandez gets the second

:08:48. > :08:54.half under way. Just one penalty, the difference between the sides.

:08:55. > :08:57.Scotland have to work hard on those restarts because an immediate

:08:58. > :09:10.opportunity for Argentina. Scotland are immediately on the back

:09:11. > :09:41.foot and an advantage to Argentina. From Scottish terms, it was Stuart

:09:42. > :09:44.Hogg with a high tackle. That is what we are talking about. That is

:09:45. > :09:50.now a high tackle whereby it wouldn't have been perhaps in recent

:09:51. > :09:55.seasons. Know, and it is a bit of manoeuvring from world rugby to get

:09:56. > :09:59.the tackle lower for safety reasons. We would say that that is fine for

:10:00. > :10:04.the most part, but it is this ongoing push to bring it lower, to

:10:05. > :10:08.chest height if at all possible. For the safety of the game, even though

:10:09. > :10:17.it is frustrating for the old fogeys like us, it is something that is

:10:18. > :10:18.needed. An interesting decision there, Hernandez opting for the

:10:19. > :10:55.corner just inside the 22. Penalty advantage to Argentina,

:10:56. > :11:05.offside Allan Dell. Messy start by Scotland.

:11:06. > :11:25.Greig Laidlaw and Orlando... Some unnecessary -ness, if that is a

:11:26. > :11:39.word. Allan nobody wants to back down first.

:11:40. > :11:51.The frustrating thing from the Scotland point of view is two

:11:52. > :12:01.penalties. There is not a lot in that, Greig should just walk away.

:12:02. > :12:09.He leaves Scotland so, so well on and off the field. A great

:12:10. > :12:12.goalkicker. He controls the referee he controls the game well. He's

:12:13. > :12:19.looking to set that example to take on these Argentinians. The next

:12:20. > :12:25.opportunity will go to Nicolas Sanchez.

:12:26. > :12:37.Argentina again with all the play, three points. All square at

:12:38. > :12:41.Murrayfield. Vern Cotter will be disappointed with that. Scotland

:12:42. > :12:48.conceded a penalty and then a second. Quite frustrating. Watch the

:12:49. > :12:50.restart here from Finn Russell. He drops it on a sixpence as Juan

:12:51. > :13:21.Martin Hernandez does. Marcus Bradbury, a powerful

:13:22. > :14:25.youngster. Lost! Lost, says the referee. The

:14:26. > :14:30.ball is there, says Greig Laidlaw. A penalty to Scotland eventually from

:14:31. > :14:37.the referee, Ben O'Keeffe. We were smiling appear. He wasn't in the way

:14:38. > :14:40.at all, you couldn't move, there was nothing that could happen. The

:14:41. > :14:48.referee said the ball was there. I love a bit of confusion. The ball

:14:49. > :14:56.was in play but harmless for Greig Laidlaw. And Laidlaw almost has his

:14:57. > :15:06.arm around the referee. You and me, we are on the same side. You do have

:15:07. > :15:12.to make an effort. He is not interfering with the ball, but you

:15:13. > :15:39.do have to make an effort. He is very tired.

:15:40. > :15:57.A penalty to Argentina. And the crowd falls silent. Such a pity. I'm

:15:58. > :16:00.just watching Magnus Bradbury. Two parts of that play, he was stuck in

:16:01. > :16:06.far beyond his years, doing the right thing. He has already grown

:16:07. > :16:10.into international rugby. Just a little bit too wide. There is a gap

:16:11. > :16:25.there, sometimes you can see the edge. I think he's been outstanding.

:16:26. > :17:23.Scored four tries. We'll impressive start.

:17:24. > :17:50.Landajo's turn to complain and he gets the penalty.

:17:51. > :18:01.A try for Matias Orlando. First try of the game goes to Argentina. They

:18:02. > :18:03.had the advantage and made it. Beautifully kicked by Juan Martin

:18:04. > :18:08.Hernandez and Matias Orlando was in the right place at the right time.

:18:09. > :18:18.Excellent score by the outside centre. Good relationship between

:18:19. > :18:22.him and his centre. Look at the accuracy, the communication. There

:18:23. > :18:25.is Hernandez taking all the time in the world. He was fortunate with the

:18:26. > :18:28.bounce, but the reaction to the vowels and the power through the

:18:29. > :18:36.tackle. Orlando has been impressive through this game. Hernandez can

:18:37. > :18:43.kick any kick. That was beautifully stroked. Bounced up perfectly and a

:18:44. > :18:47.big bash over the line. Not a lot of space, but Hernandez found it and

:18:48. > :18:57.look at the passion there from the head coach. His fourth try for

:18:58. > :19:00.Argentina and his first in this game has stunned Murrayfield, but

:19:01. > :19:16.Argentina have been the livelier side in this second half. Argentina

:19:17. > :19:24.converted try clear. The Pumas fans waving the flag. Being so wide

:19:25. > :19:29.allows you to come in with the ball. You are not chasing it, you can

:19:30. > :19:34.accelerate it if the is there. That pinpoint accurate kick from

:19:35. > :19:42.Hernandez allows Orlando to finish. A couple of changes for Scotland.

:19:43. > :19:48.Zander Fagerson is off. Ryan Wilson is on. Changes in the front row and

:19:49. > :20:14.the back row for Scotland. Scotland are up against it at the

:20:15. > :20:32.moment. Hernandez is full of life at the

:20:33. > :20:56.moment. Perhaps is the best thing to thing

:20:57. > :20:58.to happen to this game, carried in by Ryan Wilson, the replacement back

:20:59. > :21:12.row player. A penalty, because it came out this

:21:13. > :21:15.side. Badly needed that try. It is not great from a Scottish

:21:16. > :21:19.perspective, but they have to react now. How they get into this game

:21:20. > :21:22.over the next five or six minutes. There have been changes made, will

:21:23. > :21:28.the bench put in the energy that it didn't put in last weekend? This is

:21:29. > :21:41.the penalty. Before that was a wonderful break

:21:42. > :21:47.from Hernandez. Scotland managed to get back and win a penalty. How do

:21:48. > :22:21.Scotland respond? Fraser Brown complains about the line-out.

:22:22. > :22:31.Score by Sean Maitland, made by Huw Jones and Scotland hit back in style

:22:32. > :22:35.and this game has sprung to life. What a comeback by Scotland in the

:22:36. > :22:43.last five minutes. Huw Jones again. Two tries last week Andy has

:22:44. > :22:48.continued this week. He has a limp, but his feet are on fire. The power

:22:49. > :22:51.and panache to give it to Sean Maitland for the try in the

:22:52. > :22:53.right-hand corner. Every single part of that was perfect. All the way to

:22:54. > :23:11.the end. Great small, great attack. The ball is moved very quickly here.

:23:12. > :23:15.Strength, ability and poise, and knowing where his man is and making

:23:16. > :23:24.sure the ball gets into his hand. Great score in the making. Still

:23:25. > :23:27.hobbling a little bit. James Robinson is watching from afar, but

:23:28. > :23:29.is an opportunity for Scotland to draw level. Difficult conversion for

:23:30. > :23:56.a right footer. Bringing it around so well, what a

:23:57. > :24:02.kick from Greig Laidlaw! A superb kick and Scotland are level again. A

:24:03. > :24:09.very different game now. A fantastic conversion from on the right edge.

:24:10. > :24:18.It is much harder to defend a drive. Three defenders. All that pressure,

:24:19. > :24:26.getting the flowed away to Sean Maitland, that quality finisher.

:24:27. > :24:29.Argentina making a change. Leonardo Senatore is coming on for Facundo

:24:30. > :25:41.Isa. An opportunity once again for

:25:42. > :26:36.Argentina. A little knock-on says the referee

:26:37. > :26:39.and regulate low getting involved again and income like your friends.

:26:40. > :27:07.-- in, larger friends. Greig Greig. Listen, listen. Guys,

:27:08. > :27:16.from both teams. Any little taps on the face, they might find themselves

:27:17. > :27:29.in the bin, OK? Let's do it. That seems clear enough.

:27:30. > :27:38.A couple of replacements made as we watched those replays. That is

:27:39. > :27:45.quality scrum-half on scrum-half action. A little slap on the back of

:27:46. > :27:50.the heifer Laidlaw. Huw Jones is off. He has not had the dynamic

:27:51. > :27:58.input of last week's match but a telling contribution in the last few

:27:59. > :28:03.minutes. Limping off now. Born in Edinburgh, schooled in England and

:28:04. > :28:05.played in South Africa. Had a huge impact in his opening three tests

:28:06. > :28:32.for Scotland. Greig Laidlaw is trying to drive his

:28:33. > :28:34.team forward. An emotional guy. Argentina have the advantage,

:28:35. > :28:40.penalty surely coming for them here. There it is. It is not just the

:28:41. > :28:46.penalty. The immediate reward. It is the knowledge that you have the

:28:47. > :28:50.edge. All that work they did in the first half is making sure that every

:28:51. > :29:11.scum and macro scrum tells. Scotland were just too high, you can

:29:12. > :29:21.see it in the replay. Too high for the contact. Possession in the

:29:22. > :29:28.second half, very different. That is the first quarter of the match.

:29:29. > :29:34.Argentina growing a little bit in confidence. You need to control your

:29:35. > :30:14.team, keep them down. OK? Just like a choke tackle. Jonny Gray

:30:15. > :30:21.did well to get in there. He has all the rights in the world to be there.

:30:22. > :30:25.The Argentinian pack ran back to get into position, you need to give the

:30:26. > :30:29.ball first and foremost. Into the final quarter and 13 points apiece.

:30:30. > :30:35.In terms of world rankings, Scotland are looking to move above Argentina

:30:36. > :30:39.into the top eight with a victory here. Jonny Gray is such an

:30:40. > :30:43.impressive player, he does everything so well. Big

:30:44. > :30:48.interventions in games. A wonderful talent. He is a nuisance, as well!

:30:49. > :30:56.Against other forwards coming annoying.

:30:57. > :31:04.24 tackles from 24 last week, it Jonny Gray. Stephen Moore was the

:31:05. > :31:11.same but he is almost always the top tackler. He is the top of all stats.

:31:12. > :31:18.He had something like 70 or 80 passes. He is on an incredible three

:31:19. > :31:23.figure run of consecutive tackles for his home club in Glasgow. He

:31:24. > :31:28.sets examples, leads by example is and is a wonderful tolerance, a

:31:29. > :31:39.wonderful player. The pressure on the Scotland scrum here.

:31:40. > :31:48.Scotland in all sorts of trouble, penalty to Argentina. That was a

:31:49. > :31:52.demolition job. Personnel have changed and you can see it is a far

:31:53. > :31:59.more uneven contest. As much as we're criticising, you have to have

:32:00. > :32:04.your body height right. If you're not in the right position, you get

:32:05. > :32:08.pushed back at all, the way Argentina scrum is the second they

:32:09. > :32:12.sniff a tiny bit of weakness, they chase every single bit of it. Look

:32:13. > :32:22.at the whoosh again at the pressure. It is high and then bang, in you go.

:32:23. > :32:28.That is why Scotland mates. Zander Fagerson was the back-up to WB maul,

:32:29. > :32:33.struggling with an injury and not too far on coming back. It makes a

:32:34. > :32:34.huge difference to the scrum and you need the depth and Argentina have

:32:35. > :32:46.decided to go for the posts. Are rather easy swipe their

:32:47. > :32:52.beautifully struck by Sanchez. Argentina in front. I think Scotland

:32:53. > :32:56.almost would accept the three points there because they were Buckling so

:32:57. > :33:00.badly at scrum time. That sounds strange, but they can come back to

:33:01. > :33:04.halfway and tried to reset and go again. Another five minutes of

:33:05. > :33:06.scrum, they could have taken a lot out of them. Maybe that wasn't the

:33:07. > :33:21.best decision from Argentina. Argentina were celebrating that

:33:22. > :33:28.restart and -- three points and didn't know what was happening. It

:33:29. > :33:31.could be down to substitutions, Leonardo Senatore has gone. He is

:33:32. > :33:34.used to playing in the back row or second row. Somebody has not

:33:35. > :33:41.fulfilled their duties and picked up the position. Scotland have to try

:33:42. > :33:50.to avoid scrums and use the other set pieces well.

:33:51. > :34:13.A mistake by Scotland reprieves Argentina.

:34:14. > :34:19.Russell has been well watched by the Argentinian defence. Sanchez told he

:34:20. > :34:26.can't get in there because he is down on one knee. Two or three

:34:27. > :34:41.bodies quickly on Jonny Gray. tennis final tomorrow. Andy Murray

:34:42. > :34:55.is in it. Where do we start? Carried on by Jonny Gray. Still

:34:56. > :35:02.therefore Scotland but Moray Low feeling the hit and Argentina

:35:03. > :35:10.punching Scotland back. Carried in by Hamish Watson. Nothing much doing

:35:11. > :35:19.an attack for Scotland here. Barkley carries it in. Fraser Brown. The

:35:20. > :35:29.Arjun -- and the Argentinian defences up quickly. Scotland

:35:30. > :35:34.looking for something to happen. Moray Low shoves it out wide.

:35:35. > :35:40.Advantage to Scotland. The penalty is there for them. Stuart Hogg with

:35:41. > :35:47.a little step. He is through himself. Peter Horne up to within

:35:48. > :35:50.seven metres of the line. Scotland still with the advantage. The lock

:35:51. > :35:55.forward flies in. Out it comes to Stuart Hogg who tries to skip his

:35:56. > :36:10.way through a forest of defenders. Greg Laidlaw. He is thrown back.

:36:11. > :36:16.Scotland still with the advantage. Laid and Watson is there. Watson

:36:17. > :36:22.stays on his feet. Up to within five metres. Still advantage and a

:36:23. > :36:31.penalty to Scotland. They were bearing down on the line. You can

:36:32. > :36:40.see Agustin Creevy on the wrong side. Not much in this game. A good

:36:41. > :36:47.attack by Scotland. They could have moved the ball a bit quicker couple

:36:48. > :36:55.of times. They have won the penalty. Stuart Hogg had a crack on the short

:36:56. > :36:58.side. Hamish Watson driving forward and Agustin Creevy is in there

:36:59. > :37:03.again. I love the intensity from Scotland. They have totally changed

:37:04. > :37:08.in the last five minutes and they need to play at that pace. They had

:37:09. > :37:12.a penalty advantage and Argentina scored from the penalty advantage.

:37:13. > :37:19.That is a queue for teams to come alive in attack. It is a freebie and

:37:20. > :37:26.they have to go for it. A shot at goal for Greg Laidlaw. Fraser Brown

:37:27. > :37:27.is going to come of after this kick and Ross Ford will come on at hooker

:37:28. > :37:41.for Scotland. Not the prettiest kick but through

:37:42. > :37:53.it goes. 16 points apiece. We thought it would be close and so it

:37:54. > :37:59.is proving. What have we said about the restarts. You can trace those

:38:00. > :38:05.three points back to source and nobody took the restart. Nobody

:38:06. > :38:14.takes it for Scotland. It is claimed eventually. Vern Cotton furiously

:38:15. > :38:28.taking notes. Given onto Hamish Watson. He is a hard man to stop. He

:38:29. > :38:48.is very square. A bit goes from Greg Laidlaw. Greg Laidlaw over the head

:38:49. > :38:53.of the winner and well-placed. Juan Martin Hernandez buys himself some

:38:54. > :39:00.time. Tommy Seymour takes it. Into Stuart Hogg. A familiar step from

:39:01. > :39:04.Stuart Hogg. He gives it to Sean Maitland who is thrown to the

:39:05. > :39:10.ground. Back it comes to Scotland. Wilson two Greg Laidlaw. The referee

:39:11. > :39:21.says it's fine. He did on jinks into a challenge. Carried in by Moray

:39:22. > :39:32.Low. Still therefore Scotland. Greg Laidlaw gets things going again. A

:39:33. > :39:47.little pause for Scotland. Gilchrist drives on, the lock forward. John

:39:48. > :39:58.Barclay. Jonny Gray. But the greatest pass but he took it well.

:39:59. > :40:04.The drive on once more. Wilson is there. Greg Laidlaw feeds Jonny Gray

:40:05. > :40:07.he gives it to his second row partner Gilchrist. Scotland moving

:40:08. > :40:13.the phases again. The switch from Greg Laidlaw. Finn Russell gives it

:40:14. > :40:21.to Watson. Argentina counterattack. Joaquin Tuculet sends it long.

:40:22. > :40:28.Stuart Hogg does well but Santiago Cordero is quickly on the fullback.

:40:29. > :40:33.Stuart Hogg gets the penalty. That is absolutely brilliant by Stuart

:40:34. > :40:36.Hogg and stupid by the Argentinian player. Stuart Hogg stayed down

:40:37. > :40:44.deliberately to milk that penalty knowing he has to be allowed to get

:40:45. > :40:50.back up. With all the momentum going across -- against Scotland. It must

:40:51. > :40:56.be so frustrating as an Argentinian to see that. You want to be opposing

:40:57. > :41:11.and win the ball but Stuart Hogg knew exactly what he was doing. He

:41:12. > :41:15.had a glance. He bought himself half a second and Santiago Cordero gave

:41:16. > :41:22.away the penalty. A lot of changes coming on. Argentina making a couple

:41:23. > :41:33.of changes in the pack. Santiago Garcia Botta is on. Julian Montoya

:41:34. > :41:38.is on at hooker. They have changed their entire front row. Enrique

:41:39. > :41:47.Pieretto is on at tight head as well. The front row got a full 70

:41:48. > :41:52.minutes. How will that affect things in the scrum? Gilchrist is on to

:41:53. > :42:00.Scotland in the second row and Tim Swinson is on in place of him. This

:42:01. > :42:05.is where squad depth tells. Nine minutes to go, 16-16. Who has the

:42:06. > :42:17.better reserves? A good drive by Scotland. Wilson has been impressive

:42:18. > :42:23.since he's been on. Greg Laidlaw goes in to add a few kilos. Now

:42:24. > :42:31.gives it to Finn Russell. A huge pasta Stuart Hogg. Stuart Hogg tries

:42:32. > :42:40.to handoff the Argentinian player. Finn Russell again and Scotland

:42:41. > :42:45.moving well through Ross Ford. Still therefore Scotland. Greg Laidlaw

:42:46. > :42:51.making sure the referee knows that the bodies out there. Scotland

:42:52. > :43:00.looking for what they hope will be a killer try. A good tackle coming in

:43:01. > :43:04.on Ryan Wilson. Much more of a buzz around Murrayfield now. Scotland

:43:05. > :43:15.going through the phases. Hamish Watson again. He makes such ground.

:43:16. > :43:29.Driving his way past Matias Alemanno. Greg Laidlaw did well to

:43:30. > :43:32.scoop that up. Argentina set their defence again. Seven minutes

:43:33. > :43:43.remaining. Back it go. Drop goal attempt by Finn Russell but it's

:43:44. > :43:47.wide. Finn Russell will be frustrated. They worked the position

:43:48. > :43:53.well. He could have given himself more time. Maybe they went for the

:43:54. > :43:58.drop goal to soon. It was just outside the right-hand post. Under a

:43:59. > :44:03.little bit of pressure. A good attack by Scotland and good

:44:04. > :44:16.continuity. Maybe vision at that more patients. It seemed to be a bit

:44:17. > :44:20.too early. It's just gives Argentina a chance to take stock because all

:44:21. > :44:26.the momentum is with Scotland. Carried in by Ryan Wilson. Came off

:44:27. > :44:31.early against Australia last week with an injury. Ross Ford carrying

:44:32. > :44:38.three or four men with him. Argentina trying to hold up. They

:44:39. > :44:47.might have held up. The decision is scrum to Argentina. Ramiro Herrera

:44:48. > :44:56.there. That is the classic joke tackle. Holding the man up. A great

:44:57. > :45:21.carried by Ross Ford. It is all about when the

:45:22. > :45:29.referee calls more. To be able to hold up, it was Ish Sodhi. Jeronimo

:45:30. > :45:35.De la Fuente comes on in the backline. He can play a few

:45:36. > :45:43.positions but he is replacing the winger Matias Moroni. That has to be

:45:44. > :45:53.one of the best names in international rugby, Jeronimo De la

:45:54. > :45:59.Fuente. It's exotic and dynamic. So many changes. The benches have been

:46:00. > :46:03.emptied. Ali Price is the one replacement who you suspect won't be

:46:04. > :46:09.used because Greg Laidlaw will stay until the bitter end. Ali Price the

:46:10. > :46:15.young scrum half waiting for his debut. How will the scrum there with

:46:16. > :46:20.all the changes? Pretty solid for the moment from Scotland. Argentina

:46:21. > :46:27.did have the upper hand but things have changed a bit. At the goes to

:46:28. > :46:31.Juan Martin Hernandez who has looked lively in the second half. The

:46:32. > :46:36.Turner Rover is good says the referee. Scotland with another

:46:37. > :46:43.chance to attack. Ryan Wilson please scrum half. Gives it to Jonny Gray.

:46:44. > :46:49.Good tackle by Juan Manuel Leguizamon. Finn Russell throws it

:46:50. > :46:57.deep to Stuart Hogg. A chip over the top. It is reasonably well placed.

:46:58. > :47:02.All Nicolas Sanchez can do is carry it into touch. It will be Scotland's

:47:03. > :47:05.line-out and they have given themselves the opportunity to win

:47:06. > :47:14.this game. That came from the turnover by Hamish Watson and

:47:15. > :47:20.Nicolas Sanchez did not -- couldn't do much about it. This is the

:47:21. > :47:26.turnover. Stuart Hogg decided to kick from this ruck and put the

:47:27. > :47:32.pressure back on Argentina. The line-outs for Scotland are starting

:47:33. > :47:35.to look suspect. Tim Swinson takes it down. Penalty advantage to

:47:36. > :47:44.Scotland. A free attack for Scotland. Nothing coming so at

:47:45. > :47:55.penalty and it's not an easy kick for Greg

:47:56. > :48:07.Laidlaw. Tackling the lifter was the offence. You have to wait for the

:48:08. > :48:11.jumper to hit the ground and the second he hits the ground you can

:48:12. > :48:14.pull down the jumper or the lifter and if you do it before he hits the

:48:15. > :48:20.ground it becomes a penalty. It is a technical error but the really

:48:21. > :48:25.simple error to make and unique composure and Argentina have shown

:48:26. > :48:31.none. As a man who kicked a few goals for Scotland, Chris Paterson,

:48:32. > :48:40.you felt this corner down here was mischievous at Murrayfield. He

:48:41. > :48:45.stands -- the wind whistles round up its dead come this evening. Greg

:48:46. > :48:50.Laidlaw has knocked over a conversion from that area off the

:48:51. > :48:57.field already. He will be using that to try and get this over. He landed

:48:58. > :49:01.it from a very tight position, they can version. This one fractionally

:49:02. > :49:12.easier. This one to give Scotland the lead.

:49:13. > :49:20.Too much but scanning around and it's off the post. Who is quickest

:49:21. > :49:29.to it? Scotland trying to react. Greg Laidlaw was cursing is like. It

:49:30. > :49:34.is therefore Scotland. Stella Chas to win this match. It might be a

:49:35. > :49:44.drop goal opportunity. Finn Russell sitting in the pocket. Greg Laidlaw.

:49:45. > :49:50.Not yet. Jonny Gray. A little bit of diverging from Greg Laidlaw. The

:49:51. > :49:53.Argentinians waiting for the charged on for the drop goal attempt. The

:49:54. > :50:01.forwards carry it in. Finn Russell is still deep. The forwards again.

:50:02. > :50:09.Argentina desperate for the turnover. Greg Laidlaw. Finn Russell

:50:10. > :50:11.not as deep but yet it is on the charge down is there and now

:50:12. > :50:21.Scotland have to get back. Ryan Wilson is there. The Argentinian

:50:22. > :50:29.players pouring in. The scrum goes to Argentina and the opportunity may

:50:30. > :50:36.have been lost. He wasn't quite as deep. It was a great charge by

:50:37. > :50:47.Argentina. Look at the pressure from Leonardo Senatore. Arguably that was

:50:48. > :50:54.too late. Maybe they should have done it a phase earlier. There is

:50:55. > :51:02.still time. Who is the man of the match? Very difficult to call again

:51:03. > :51:09.this week. Martin Landajo set the tempo for Argentina. But that man in

:51:10. > :51:16.the middle, Hamish Watson, wins man of the match. He leads by example.

:51:17. > :51:20.Jonny Gray with the number of carries and his influence around the

:51:21. > :51:30.park is second to none. Tonight's man of the match is Jonny Gray. The

:51:31. > :51:37.injured man is Peter Horne who was involved in the chase back. Peter

:51:38. > :51:48.Horne in clear discomfort. As it was last week there was a penalty that

:51:49. > :51:54.hit the post. Look at that anguish. What does it mean to the supporters?

:51:55. > :51:58.How much influence can they have? Read was frustrated but he must

:51:59. > :52:05.believe there is another opportunity to win this game. You've got to

:52:06. > :52:07.believe there is another opportunity. Argentina will be

:52:08. > :52:16.looking to break out and win the game. Peter Horne is of. A draw

:52:17. > :52:22.would move Scotland above Argentina but we will look the confirmation of

:52:23. > :52:34.that. There were three Argentinians on Peter Horne. It looks like a dead

:52:35. > :52:38.leg. Both teams must see this as an opportunity to win the game. It's

:52:39. > :52:47.how you attack and defend that can influence it. Argentina will look

:52:48. > :52:53.for the penalty perhaps. Not giving way yet. Use it says the referee.

:52:54. > :53:04.Outed cans. Juan Martin Hernandez trying to get past Finn Russell.

:53:05. > :53:14.There it is. A scrum to Scotland and they still have some hope. Another

:53:15. > :53:22.joke tackle. Is the referee going to allow this scrum to take place? This

:53:23. > :53:30.is a big opportunity. It was Alex Dunbar and Finn Russell holding up

:53:31. > :53:41.Juan Martin Hernandez. The Murrayfield crowd finding its voice.

:53:42. > :53:46.A final opportunity for Scotland. This will be interesting. The last

:53:47. > :53:52.two or three scrums have been stable so it should be a good up --

:53:53. > :53:59.attacking opportunity to Scotland. Looks to be buckling. Away they

:54:00. > :54:08.come. Finn Russell for Scotland. Wider goals. Carried on by Tommy

:54:09. > :54:15.Seymour. Still therefore Greg Laidlaw. Jonny Gray is there again.

:54:16. > :54:22.Argentina tried to disrupt. Greg Laidlaw sunning in -- summoning

:54:23. > :54:27.support. They might be setting up for a drop goal attempt. Argentina

:54:28. > :54:30.after you obey every instruction of the referee because they want want

:54:31. > :54:42.to give away a penalty. Scotland going through the phases. Still

:54:43. > :54:52.therefore Scotland. Just outside the 22. To do but the moment for a drop

:54:53. > :54:56.goal attempt. Jonny Gray carries. The Argentinian defence strong at

:54:57. > :55:03.the moment. Scotland have been here before. The advantages they and a

:55:04. > :55:07.penalty is therefore Scotland and Argentina have given Greg Laidlaw

:55:08. > :55:23.one final opportunity to win this game. It is a no arm tackle. No

:55:24. > :55:33.attempt to wrap. Juan Manuel Leguizamon saying it is just a low

:55:34. > :55:42.tackle. He led with his shoulder. His elbow was beside his body. The

:55:43. > :55:49.head coach cannot luck. We said Greg Laidlaw would have another

:55:50. > :55:54.opportunity. Here it is. That tackle will be looked at in the analysis

:55:55. > :56:02.afterwards. Juan Manuel Leguizamon felt hard done by. Fingernails are

:56:03. > :56:16.being chewed as Greg Laidlaw tries to win this match to Scotland.

:56:17. > :56:29.This time Greg Laidlaw dixit and it has been a sometimes nervy and messy

:56:30. > :56:34.victory but it is a victory over Argentina and they move above them

:56:35. > :56:42.in the world rankings. After coming so close last week there were

:56:43. > :56:48.concerns about how Scotland would win a tight game. It was a

:56:49. > :56:53.contentious penalty. But after missing a conversion -- a penalty

:56:54. > :56:59.minutes before Greg Laidlaw had the courage to knock over a vital

:57:00. > :57:07.penalty. Juan Manuel Leguizamon is still complaining that he says well

:57:08. > :57:16.done to Greg Laidlaw. He will feel sick Juan Manuel Leguizamon but the

:57:17. > :57:21.decision has been made. This is the kick that won the game to Scotland.

:57:22. > :57:28.You are just going through your process and treating it like any

:57:29. > :57:35.other kick. There was the smile that followed. He leads by example. He

:57:36. > :57:40.drives his team around the field. That is the reaction of the fans.

:57:41. > :57:44.All of the free-flowing style of last week was important but the win

:57:45. > :57:49.this weekend for Scotland is vital. Absolutely vital. The performance

:57:50. > :57:55.last week was absolutely vital -- outstanding. There is the Scottish

:57:56. > :57:59.staff. The win was vitally important. The teams were only one

:58:00. > :58:08.place apart in the world rankings and there was so much on it cost of

:58:09. > :58:13.the will World Cup draw. They wanted to execute this feels on the field.

:58:14. > :58:22.A tidy first half in many ways but a much better second half. Let us hear

:58:23. > :58:29.from the man who has just landed the winning kick, Greg Laidlaw. What on

:58:30. > :58:35.earth was going through your mind when he got that second chance to

:58:36. > :58:43.win this Test match? Thank goodness! I was disappointed with the first

:58:44. > :58:48.one. I missed one on the post last week. I struck the last one

:58:49. > :58:53.extremely well. Credit to the boys. We are delighted to win. You still

:58:54. > :58:58.had to close the game against Australia. Where the doubts swirling

:58:59. > :59:03.in your mind that it might be deja vu? No. We were disappointing after

:59:04. > :59:08.the Australia game but we have learned quickly in a week. We have

:59:09. > :59:12.worked so hard all week and I thought the boys were outstanding.

:59:13. > :59:17.To win at home, there is no better feeling. It got feisty between you

:59:18. > :59:25.and your opposite number. Was that an indication of what was at stake?

:59:26. > :59:34.Exactly. We are at home so we were not going to take a backward step.

:59:35. > :59:38.We look after ourselves. It helps to have men like this on your right?

:59:39. > :59:43.The big man lost his brothers this week but he was breeding this week.

:59:44. > :59:50.He puts his body through the mill every week. Jonny Gray, is it a

:59:51. > :59:56.sense of relief? We are delighted to win and they played to Greg for

:59:57. > :00:03.kicking a penalty. I thought he led the team well. To get the win back

:00:04. > :00:09.against a team that was very satisfying. In the course of the

:00:10. > :00:13.week you found the mindset that you could close that game at having

:00:14. > :00:18.failed to do it against Australia. It just shows you at small margins.

:00:19. > :00:25.Argentina scored a great try in the second half. It was a strong

:00:26. > :00:31.Argentinian team. You were under the pump in the scrums did that put you

:00:32. > :00:37.on the back foot of it? It is a strong Argentina team. You have to

:00:38. > :00:42.regroup and we sorted it out and I'm happy to get the win.

:00:43. > :00:50.Jonny Gray is only 22. You feel like he's been involved in international

:00:51. > :00:55.rugby for ever. I never grandstand finish. We have had two of them

:00:56. > :01:01.today. We will tell you about the match in Cardiff in a few minutes

:01:02. > :01:07.time. Andy, we began the programme by saying Scotland come off second

:01:08. > :01:13.narrow matches but today they have one. Jonny Gray talked about fine

:01:14. > :01:18.margins. Greg Laidlaw had the post last week and this week. Scotland

:01:19. > :01:23.list three chances to win the game. If you get one and another one after

:01:24. > :01:30.that you get lucky but he knocked over the penalty. Delighted that

:01:31. > :01:34.Scotland got the win. It was such a tight game. It will always going to

:01:35. > :01:38.come down to those fine margins. From an Argentinian perspective? The

:01:39. > :01:44.guys will be frustrated. They came out for the second half and played

:01:45. > :01:49.well. They played with more accuracy and scored a try. They had a good

:01:50. > :01:54.break after that then things started to happen but then they lost

:01:55. > :02:02.control. They lost the discipline and it cost them the game. Keith

:02:03. > :02:05.Wood is back from the commentary box. What did you make of it? I

:02:06. > :02:13.thought the composure of Scotland in the second half was fantastic. They

:02:14. > :02:21.had their chances but they had one final chance and they took it. Such

:02:22. > :02:25.tiny margins. The tiny margins are often refereeing decisions at key

:02:26. > :02:31.points and this is with a minute ago. Is that a penalty? It is. There

:02:32. > :02:37.are no arms engaged. He goes straight in with the shoulders. The

:02:38. > :02:43.way the game is refereed now that is a penalty over time. One in five

:02:44. > :02:49.referees might not give it. Nowadays if you do that it's going to be a

:02:50. > :02:52.penalty. It has to be a penalty. It's dangerous play. There is no arm

:02:53. > :03:10.in the tackle. I feel sorry for Juan Manuel

:03:11. > :03:16.Leguizamon. The one thing you don't have to do at the right moment is

:03:17. > :03:22.given the opportunity for them to have a shot at goal for the referee

:03:23. > :03:29.to make a decision. Scotland had missed two drop goals. All Argentina

:03:30. > :03:35.had to do was give them easy ball. But that was an easy penalty. Having

:03:36. > :03:42.just missed when and to win a game when Scotland have one many for Greg

:03:43. > :03:47.Laidlaw to step up, it was fantastic. The first attempt at a

:03:48. > :03:51.drop-kick was the one he will be annoyed about. There was not much

:03:52. > :03:56.pressure. An international stand-off, it comes off the outside

:03:57. > :04:03.of the foot. That is about this. He should get those ones. This was the

:04:04. > :04:09.penalty. It's almost identical to way the conversion was last week and

:04:10. > :04:14.again it's the same post. But this is where they got the opportunity.

:04:15. > :04:19.This I think, everyone knew it was too telegraphed. I thought there

:04:20. > :04:29.were a few phases before that when they were going forward. That was

:04:30. > :04:34.slow ball. It was very well charged down because everyone knew what was

:04:35. > :04:38.happening. Sometimes it is a get out of jail free card. Sometimes these

:04:39. > :04:41.players understand and get the composure right because the previous

:04:42. > :04:46.one was too early and that one was too late. They really have had one

:04:47. > :04:53.chance that they had for an attack on.

:04:54. > :04:59.Just looking at the composure for the last five minutes last weekend

:05:00. > :05:03.to the five minutes today when they just tightened up totally, they were

:05:04. > :05:07.still clear in mind this week. We were saying about ten minutes before

:05:08. > :05:11.the end nobody deserves to win. It is an even game, a draw would be a

:05:12. > :05:14.fair result. There was a period, especially when Argentina squad that

:05:15. > :05:20.try, that you felt they were getting in the ascendancy, but they didn't

:05:21. > :05:23.push on. It looks like they were getting control of the game. They

:05:24. > :05:27.were going forward, putting some faces together, but all of a sudden

:05:28. > :05:37.they got undisciplined again. I remember key moments. The Nicolas

:05:38. > :05:42.Sanchez penalty, as we can see, they finish off a very good move with

:05:43. > :05:45.Hernandez's kick and around the corner. It looked like things would

:05:46. > :05:51.happen for Argentina, but they were on the back foot again. We talk

:05:52. > :05:57.about her nondescript in Quelle, Scotland benefited from the bounce

:05:58. > :05:59.of the ball last week. It was a beautifully weighted kick from

:06:00. > :06:06.Hernandez. It bounced perfectly up for Orlando. The game needed that

:06:07. > :06:12.try because that inspired Scotland to up their game. It was good for

:06:13. > :06:20.the game. If the game had gone tautly towards Argentina. But the

:06:21. > :06:27.drop-off from Finn Russell was so accurate, the game changes. Is the

:06:28. > :06:32.Huw Jones Fanclub gaining numbers every week? It has to. It wasn't a

:06:33. > :06:38.game particularly for him, not a lot of activity. But look at this. Good

:06:39. > :06:42.position, good setup. When we are looking here, it is three on three.

:06:43. > :06:47.There is the matchup, the second and third. It needed a good bit of state

:06:48. > :06:51.and a handoff to create something out of nothing, which that was, and

:06:52. > :06:56.then to get the off. We see it from behind. They are evenly matched up

:06:57. > :07:00.and Huw Jones, we saw him last week, this is more about the upper body

:07:01. > :07:04.strength. Orlando will be disappointed with that, but look at

:07:05. > :07:05.the number of defenders attracted in freeing up the space for Sean

:07:06. > :07:19.Maitland. Either I am stunned with his composure.

:07:20. > :07:25.Last week under pressure and is today. He has very little to do for

:07:26. > :07:28.a lot of the game. That was his one big match moment and he did it

:07:29. > :07:32.perfectly. Instead of going to ground, he had an awareness. It is

:07:33. > :07:39.very hard to coach that awareness. You have to have it. He has it. Not

:07:40. > :07:43.Driscoll, it is premature. He was going for a handoff and managed to

:07:44. > :07:51.off-load it. He had that ability and awareness. We can go to Sonia. You

:07:52. > :07:58.just said to me, that feels good. How good? Pretty good feeling.

:07:59. > :08:02.Better than last week. I thought we improved on things. We have two to

:08:03. > :08:07.nail games like that. Well done to the boys. They stuck in. How proud

:08:08. > :08:11.of the team they got over the line in the way they couldn't last week?

:08:12. > :08:16.You saw the grit and determination that they would work this one out

:08:17. > :08:24.and get the win. We keep pressure on them. I thought they had us at ruck

:08:25. > :08:28.time. A clear, quick ball. A winter 's evening with a slightly greasy

:08:29. > :08:32.ball. I thought we were pretty pragmatic but I think we showed

:08:33. > :08:37.character and it was important to get what we needed. Word on Greig

:08:38. > :08:45.Laidlaw and his value to Scotland. It is clear. It's great for him that

:08:46. > :08:53.he leads the boys and gets the 83rd minute. We can take some really,

:08:54. > :08:58.really good things from this game. Find out a bit more about ourselves.

:08:59. > :09:02.What I like is the grit and determination. You have Georgia

:09:03. > :09:06.next, who beat Samoa today. Does that fixture take on a different

:09:07. > :09:09.complexion? We have watched George come through and have a lot of

:09:10. > :09:18.respect for them. Their coaches good friend of mine. There will be a fair

:09:19. > :09:22.bit at stake. We will have a couple of beers tonight and think about

:09:23. > :09:29.Georgia tomorrow. It'll be a tough game thank you -- well done. Thank

:09:30. > :09:38.you. Still a lot of matches to be completed tonight. Italy beat South

:09:39. > :09:46.Africa for the first time ever. Wales versus Japan was won by a drop

:09:47. > :09:54.kick with 12 seconds to go. Look how close all those matches are. New

:09:55. > :09:59.Zealand are ahead of Ireland with the final quarter about to get on

:10:00. > :10:02.and away. The guys spoke about perhaps a change in the world order

:10:03. > :10:09.at half-time. Do we read anything into those scores? I think so. When

:10:10. > :10:14.you look at the World Cup last year, how close some of the games where,

:10:15. > :10:18.how close the wins, the Japanese win over South Africa. You see what

:10:19. > :10:23.happened in the summer, some of the summit was, I think there is a

:10:24. > :10:27.coming together of standard. More attractive, attacking rugby and I

:10:28. > :10:31.think it is an awful lot tighter. One team standout ahead, which is

:10:32. > :10:34.New Zealand. I know Ireland beat them and you'd help deliver crippled

:10:35. > :10:39.something much change there in the next few minutes. Everybody else is

:10:40. > :10:45.concertina in a little bit more. It is tough. Look at the top ten. It is

:10:46. > :10:49.really hard. A victory today for Scotland over Argentina and

:10:50. > :10:54.supporters still look at Argentina and say, well, we don't think we are

:10:55. > :10:58.as highly rated. All the players would rate them unbelievably highly,

:10:59. > :11:02.incredibly difficult to play against and a team that has been said in a

:11:03. > :11:06.World Cup. They are one of the leading teams. As Argentina had to

:11:07. > :11:10.Twickenham next week, England obviously had an impressive victory

:11:11. > :11:14.against South Africa. We will not give away the Fiji squad, don't

:11:15. > :11:18.worry. We will show that in a second. It is a tough way to finish

:11:19. > :11:23.a tough year. Speaking to the guys in the team, they were targeting two

:11:24. > :11:26.or three wins in this tour. They two losses out of two. Going to

:11:27. > :11:30.Twickenham, potentially the toughest game of the tour. It is worrying,

:11:31. > :11:36.especially as they haven't been able to develop their game plan in either

:11:37. > :11:44.game. We hope they can do better next week. Scotland. Georgia next

:11:45. > :11:48.week. They come off the back of that Samoa result of very confident. My

:11:49. > :11:54.worry is that everyone looks at these fixtures' decrease in standard

:11:55. > :12:00.of opposition. Australia, Argentina, Georgia. You look at the result. I

:12:01. > :12:03.said today that Scotland has to back of their performance last week and

:12:04. > :12:06.get their win today. They have done it in circumstances, now they have

:12:07. > :12:10.to back this up by winning next week. Playing the rugby we saw last

:12:11. > :12:13.week, dictating more of the game. I thought they were reactive today's

:12:14. > :12:17.Argentina because of the lot of the control they have. They managed to

:12:18. > :12:21.find the way of winning the game. That is the confidence they will

:12:22. > :12:24.take next week. Let's show you what we have coming up on BBC. Not just

:12:25. > :12:47.tonight, but in the future. Andy Murray one against Raonic today

:12:48. > :12:55.in a truly extraordinary match. 11-9 one third set tie-break after hours

:12:56. > :12:59.and hours of stupendous Deniz. -- tennis. Final word. Kill Monica next

:13:00. > :13:06.week, Scotland against Georgia. They will be big upfront. How important

:13:07. > :13:11.is it for Scotland to take that step? Two wins out of three and the

:13:12. > :13:16.one defeat being against Australia will mean a good autumn. A lot of

:13:17. > :13:20.confidence going into the first game, which is Ireland at

:13:21. > :13:23.Murrayfield on the first game of the Six Nations. A lot can happen

:13:24. > :13:29.between now and then. Thanks for being with us and it is warmer in

:13:30. > :13:30.your home in Barcelona than here. We are off to Twickenham for England
