:00:40. > :00:53.Kilmarnock, an Ayrshire market town, steeped in character. Culture. And

:00:54. > :00:57.sport. A sensational result! It's the birthplace of one of the world's

:00:58. > :01:05.best-known whiskeys. And the home of rock Giants if you Clive Rose. This

:01:06. > :01:11.is Carl Marner, the only school in Scotland to boast two Nobel Prize

:01:12. > :01:16.winners. Alexander Fleming, the man who discovered penicillin. Today

:01:17. > :01:21.Scotland look to finish their Autumn International Sirius on a high

:01:22. > :01:23.against Georgia at Rugby Park. Georgia's first visit to Scotland

:01:24. > :01:31.and the hosts will be heavy favourites. There's no such

:01:32. > :01:33.uncertainty is as sure thing. One thing is the certain, it promises to

:01:34. > :02:09.be... Scintillating. Inspirational. Another busy Saturday of autumn to

:02:10. > :02:13.Test rugby. We are at Rugby Park in Colmar like as Scotland look to make

:02:14. > :02:18.this their most successful year since these set -- since 2002 by

:02:19. > :02:24.seeing off Georgia. Just the second meeting between them. The last time

:02:25. > :02:28.was a 15-6 win at the 2011 World Cup. The fans have been flooding in,

:02:29. > :02:33.it's close to a sell-out crowd which you think reflects the optimism that

:02:34. > :02:38.has returned to Scottish rugby this year. What a year it could end up

:02:39. > :02:46.being for Vern Cotter and his side. It will be no easy feat. We are in

:02:47. > :02:51.Ayrshire, which this morning woke up to see the snowcapped mountains on

:02:52. > :02:56.the journey over and it does feel like we are delighted we are

:02:57. > :03:00.indoors. Alongside me, two players whose careers for Scotland

:03:01. > :03:07.overlapped in Alan Tate and Andy Nicol. That was slightly earlier for

:03:08. > :03:12.you. A few comebacks, Andy Nicol, more than what Stuart. And Richie

:03:13. > :03:18.Dixon in the middle. You coached not only Scotland, but Georgia. Today

:03:19. > :03:22.that could be very handy for us, not just the knowledge, but

:03:23. > :03:26.pronunciations. I'll do my best to help you! You can give us some

:03:27. > :03:30.insight into Georgian rugby. Let's talk about Rugby Park, it has been

:03:31. > :03:35.used for international rugby before. It will feel a bit strange not being

:03:36. > :03:40.at Murrayfield. What are your thoughts on taking rugby on the

:03:41. > :03:44.road? I think it's the right decision. They love their rugby down

:03:45. > :03:48.here. A lot of fans travelled to see Glasgow Warriors every week. They

:03:49. > :03:53.did it a couple of years ago against Tonga and it was successful. If it

:03:54. > :03:57.was Murrayfield today, three weeks running in Murrayfield so you you're

:03:58. > :04:01.going after the same pool of supporters. It's great to bring it

:04:02. > :04:06.around the country. The players love it. Football stadiums are much

:04:07. > :04:13.tighter so the atmosphere, albeit with a smaller crowd, creates a

:04:14. > :04:18.fantastic atmosphere. Reports in the press that the Jordans felt a bit

:04:19. > :04:25.insulted that they didn't get the chance at Murrayfield. -- Georgians.

:04:26. > :04:29.Rugby is such a big event in Georgia and Murrayfield is iconic. The

:04:30. > :04:32.Georgian people are very aware of that. They are disappointed they are

:04:33. > :04:38.not there. Supporters more than the players. It is now the National

:04:39. > :04:44.sport of Georgia, it's overtaken football. In the second level of Six

:04:45. > :04:48.Nations they've dominated. They are knocking on the door and saying to

:04:49. > :04:53.the Six Nations, let us in. They are exactly where Italy were many moons

:04:54. > :04:58.ago. They were a developing nation and look where they are now, they

:04:59. > :05:02.toppled South Africa last week. They come along the way in 20 years.

:05:03. > :05:08.These guys are the same, they are desperate to get recognition. I

:05:09. > :05:14.watched the 20s on Wednesday and they beat Scotland. Testament to the

:05:15. > :05:19.hard work you did. They need a scalp and they'll be looking at today as

:05:20. > :05:24.that opportunity. Yes. Georgia are now in a situation that Italy were.

:05:25. > :05:30.Italy had a very, very strong team when the game into the Six Nations.

:05:31. > :05:33.Sadly since then they've never really replicated that. Georgia are

:05:34. > :05:38.starting to build up. We watched the under 20s. They know they need

:05:39. > :05:41.substance behind it. This team is here to prove they can keep edging

:05:42. > :05:46.forward so when the youngsters come through they can flood in. Let's go

:05:47. > :05:52.back to Scotland. One is a leading light and another is a face we will

:05:53. > :05:56.see a lot more. Stuart Hogg and Alex -- Zander Fagerson have sat down for

:05:57. > :06:05.a chat. Belief within the squad is massive. We are very proud Scotsman.

:06:06. > :06:09.We love playing for our country. Zander Fagerson, Scotland, tight

:06:10. > :06:15.head prop. Stuart Hogg, Scotland, full-back. We all fight for each

:06:16. > :06:20.other and we are a close bunch. Some good banter. A good balance of youth

:06:21. > :06:24.and experience. A couple of good performances, we played well against

:06:25. > :06:30.Australia. One point on the wrong side and it was a defeat for us.

:06:31. > :06:40.Really unlucky not to get the win. Last week we made amends for that.

:06:41. > :06:46.Huw Jones, look at the support. Made by Huw Jones. Scotland hit back in

:06:47. > :06:49.style. They came and made the breakdown a real mess and we had to

:06:50. > :06:53.front up at times to get the ball back. You learn from the week

:06:54. > :06:57.before. Get people in the right places and slow it down at times. We

:06:58. > :07:05.took our time and we got a penalty at the end and got the win. It's a

:07:06. > :07:11.victory, a hard earned and sometimes nervy, sometimes messy victory.

:07:12. > :07:18.Trying for the fact saying. A bit more physical from the Georgians. We

:07:19. > :07:22.are prepared for a battle. They are very big men, I've played with a few

:07:23. > :07:25.and they are very physical. They will play with physicality. They

:07:26. > :07:33.have a lot of players in the French leagues. It's a good challenge and

:07:34. > :07:37.we are looking forward to it. They have some excellent backs as well so

:07:38. > :07:41.we will have to be on the money in defence and take our opportunities

:07:42. > :07:45.in attack. They have a few weaknesses in their defence and

:07:46. > :07:48.hopefully we can exploit that. It feels great to be seventh in the

:07:49. > :07:52.world rankings, it's something we've been targeting for a long time. To

:07:53. > :07:57.get a couple of good performances and a couple of wins is even better.

:07:58. > :08:00.We would take a good performance and good win this weekend. It would put

:08:01. > :08:10.us in good stead for the Six Nations. We'll do everything we can.

:08:11. > :08:16.You've played... Played! Forgetting your age. You've worked with Zander

:08:17. > :08:20.Fagerson quite a bit. I was involved with the BT academies in Scotland.

:08:21. > :08:24.Eddie Pollock, in charge of the scrummaging, knew nothing about him.

:08:25. > :08:30.But seeing the work these kids put in with the strong coaches from the

:08:31. > :08:38.back Spain the wrong height, it's quite amazing. You're not surprised

:08:39. > :08:43.he's taken so well? No. The hard work has been done. He's been thrown

:08:44. > :08:47.in a bit. It's not just his scrummaging, that's is not the one

:08:48. > :08:52.job, but when he gets it out on the field, he can defend well, the makes

:08:53. > :08:58.a good line-out and he gets the ball. That's something for the young

:08:59. > :09:01.kids to look at. Andy, you've had a good look at the Battle of the front

:09:02. > :09:05.row last week against Argentina. That's where Scotland will have two

:09:06. > :09:13.if not dominate, at least match up to Georgia's strengths. Absolutely.

:09:14. > :09:15.Zander Fagerson on the right of the Scottish scrum against a strong

:09:16. > :09:19.Argentina and his legs are too far back. If any pressure comes on

:09:20. > :09:25.committee will go to ground and concede a penalty, as he did. The

:09:26. > :09:29.prop shakes his head because he doesn't think it's him. They were

:09:30. > :09:36.under real pressure last week. That's good experience. This will be

:09:37. > :09:42.equally as difficult today with the Georgians scrum. Yes. He's done well

:09:43. > :09:45.since he's come into the team that they are against very, very

:09:46. > :09:50.experienced Georgian props. You must have your feet in the right position

:09:51. > :09:55.from the start. Moving your feet at any stage is a problem. The rest of

:09:56. > :09:59.your body can come under pressure. The way the scrummage has developed

:10:00. > :10:06.is going back to having very good technique. The changes Vern Cotter

:10:07. > :10:13.has made reflects the changes where he knows the battle will be won.

:10:14. > :10:16.People have come in for their physicality. Georgia have good

:10:17. > :10:21.backs, but they are much more well known for their pack. It will be

:10:22. > :10:27.physical and direct. The defence has to be strong today. We've got some

:10:28. > :10:33.of the tries they've scored in the last few Tests and they all come

:10:34. > :10:40.from the front row. I hope Japan -- Scotland will defend better than

:10:41. > :10:44.Japan. They've got some good backs. This VAT shows the forwards. Japan

:10:45. > :10:48.were dropped goal away from drawing with a full strength Wales last

:10:49. > :10:55.Saturday. Scotland know how difficult are. Georgia have good

:10:56. > :11:01.game. This is against Samoa. 13 months ago Scotland played Samoa in

:11:02. > :11:07.the World Cup Newcastle. Look what Georgia are doing to the scrum. This

:11:08. > :11:11.was probably a penalty try until the number eight got it down. Scotland

:11:12. > :11:16.know exactly where the challenge will come. It's being able to step

:11:17. > :11:21.up to counter that. They do have backs who can play, we just don't

:11:22. > :11:27.focus so much on that. It takes so much energy to do what they do

:11:28. > :11:31.upfront that the weaknesses in reassembling themselves and after

:11:32. > :11:36.ten or 15 minutes mistakes can creep in. Yes. The strength of Georgia is

:11:37. > :11:41.exactly that. The backs need help from the forwards and the forwards

:11:42. > :11:44.need help from the backs. They don't have the balance. It's unfortunate

:11:45. > :11:48.today that two of their mainline backs are not playing. Another ten

:11:49. > :11:56.and the normal mother 13. This gives young guys a chance. The number ten

:11:57. > :12:00.is a very experienced player, but most of his caps recently have been

:12:01. > :12:04.off the bench. It will be a trying time for Georgia if they don't get

:12:05. > :12:09.their line speed and line discipline right. Vern Cotter's final autumn

:12:10. > :12:14.Test as Scotland coach, he's moving on after the Six Nations.

:12:15. > :12:18.Another tough test for your site today. What have you challenged your

:12:19. > :12:23.team to show you? We need to improve and there are parts of the game that

:12:24. > :12:27.were good against Argentina and Australia. We weren't satisfied with

:12:28. > :12:31.our rock accuracy. We weren't particularly good there at times.

:12:32. > :12:38.It's a solid team and they will come at us on the side -- ground. The

:12:39. > :12:43.speed of the ball will hopefully help us. We should be able to get

:12:44. > :12:48.the ball out wide when we need to. Generally just fully focused on

:12:49. > :12:52.ourselves and knowing its good opposition, respecting them and

:12:53. > :12:55.trying to get the job done as best as possible. Georgia have

:12:56. > :12:59.motivations outside of this, they want to show they can compete with

:13:00. > :13:04.top nations. How dangerous does that make them? They are passionate about

:13:05. > :13:10.the game, it's their national sport and they are a good team. It's a

:13:11. > :13:14.game of 80 minutes. Maybe 90 minutes. We need to be fully focused

:13:15. > :13:17.on the content of the game and try to put them under pressure for as

:13:18. > :13:23.long as possible and try to get points when we do. They perhaps have

:13:24. > :13:27.something to prove, but it's a game of rugby we want to do well in and

:13:28. > :13:33.keep our standards and lift the performance. It's pretty simple. A

:13:34. > :13:37.chilly day, an artificial surface here. Does that suit you better and

:13:38. > :13:41.how will it affect things? I don't know, we'll find out after the game.

:13:42. > :13:48.The guys have had some experience on it. It's in front of our home crowd

:13:49. > :13:52.and we want to perform well. We don't want to let the ball bounce

:13:53. > :13:57.because the ball bounces higher and in odd places. Take the ball cleanly

:13:58. > :14:05.and if we can speed it up when we need to, it will help. All the best.

:14:06. > :14:10.It feels really important today that Scotland get this win and finish

:14:11. > :14:14.this autumn series on a high. Last week felt like another big step to

:14:15. > :14:18.get over the line and get a win against Argentina. This would be the

:14:19. > :14:23.most successful year in terms of winning percentages for 14 years.

:14:24. > :14:29.That leaves Vern Cotter's legacy in a good state. Exactly. A 1-point

:14:30. > :14:34.defeat to Australia, a win against Argentina. If they can win today

:14:35. > :14:39.they will go into the Six Nations with confidence. Vern Cotter has six

:14:40. > :14:42.games left. We don't know what will happen in the Six Nations, but he

:14:43. > :14:47.will leave Scotland in a better condition than when he arrived. It's

:14:48. > :14:51.unusual that a coach leaves when he is doing really well, normally is

:14:52. > :14:55.the other end of the spectrum. A team is losing. Anything but. You

:14:56. > :15:01.listen to the players, they love working under Vern Cotter. It's a

:15:02. > :15:04.strategic decision to not allow Gregor Townsend to disappear

:15:05. > :15:09.somewhere else and somebody else benefit from his coaching expertise

:15:10. > :15:13.and bring in a Scottish coach. There are arguments for the longevity of

:15:14. > :15:16.this period extending a bit more. It is what it is. Gregor will inherit a

:15:17. > :15:27.very good squad. Gregor works with these players

:15:28. > :15:34.every day so he knows what he is getting. But I think Verne has done

:15:35. > :15:37.a great job, I worked with him at Murrayfield and his door was always

:15:38. > :15:44.open. He's changed the attitude of these guys. The main thing for a

:15:45. > :15:49.professional is about winning. You can do performing but you've got to

:15:50. > :16:00.win. He's definitely changed this group around. He put out an article

:16:01. > :16:05.saying let's move on next game, and they got a great result against

:16:06. > :16:13.Argentina. But the victory was important and that is what they

:16:14. > :16:18.want. That is the difference at the top nations, they can win and it is

:16:19. > :16:26.fine. There has been a lot of talk about this artificial surface and

:16:27. > :16:32.luckily for us, we have got an agricultural expert. Tell us about

:16:33. > :16:39.the playing surface. Thank you. I don't think this synthetic surface

:16:40. > :16:53.will affect the players. It is built on a base of Rees -- recycled car

:16:54. > :16:56.tyres. There are three teams who play on this in the Aviva

:16:57. > :17:03.Premiership. The players will be used to it. What does it mean? It

:17:04. > :17:08.means the ball will be quicker. We will hopefully see some fast flowing

:17:09. > :17:14.rugby. One theory for that is the players do not like going down on it

:17:15. > :17:19.and it allows you to put food work on the opponent. That is the

:17:20. > :17:29.surface. It is a slightly narrower pitch. It is two metres narrower and

:17:30. > :17:45.two metres shorter. The dead ball in areas are the difference. They will

:17:46. > :17:53.look to be really accurate. I don't think you could fit any more into

:17:54. > :17:59.that. Our players used to playing on services like this? The Glasgow

:18:00. > :18:08.Warriors play at Scotstoun. The key statistic was it is narrower by two

:18:09. > :18:18.metres. Scotland will need to work hard to create the space. You

:18:19. > :18:31.mentioned the changes Vern Cotter has made but one player has stood

:18:32. > :18:34.out, as an ever present. Jonny Gray set up the tries but Hamish Watson

:18:35. > :18:40.has been outstanding. He is just everywhere. He is almost

:18:41. > :18:48.old-fashioned in the way that he is the seven. You look at the tackler.

:18:49. > :18:56.His dimensions make him very good in this regard. Santiago came through

:18:57. > :19:04.there and that was a fantastic tackle. You can see here, he's good

:19:05. > :19:10.at attacking play, he comes off, he brings himself vote, and he very

:19:11. > :19:14.rarely gets knocked back. He's got good upper body but strong leg drive

:19:15. > :19:22.as well. This is where he comes into the zone. This is where he gets the

:19:23. > :19:29.turnover. Second man in on the ball. It is perfect. It is absolutely what

:19:30. > :19:35.you want to do as seven. Really influenced that. What is great as

:19:36. > :19:42.they have expanded the number of players they've got. He's been

:19:43. > :19:50.arrested. Magnus Bradbury will play again for Scotland but they've

:19:51. > :19:58.picked Rob Harley. It is the difference, when those key men were

:19:59. > :20:06.injured a couple of seasons ago, you were thinking, where is the talent

:20:07. > :20:09.going to come through. There is a big emphasis on the scrummage but

:20:10. > :20:20.the back rows could have an influence as well. They have picked

:20:21. > :20:25.some heavier boys but I think Hamish Watson is reaching that stage. I

:20:26. > :20:34.will be interested to see how they do today. It'll be interesting to

:20:35. > :20:41.see key areas. He missed out in the World Cup, I am sure. It set the

:20:42. > :20:49.bells ringing, what is he doing? Hamish Watson was left though. But

:20:50. > :20:55.he has opened the door for him. I think this game is all about

:20:56. > :21:03.opportunities. There is nothing like international experience to give you

:21:04. > :21:07.international experience. They'll come back, with no doubt. This will

:21:08. > :21:14.stand him for the many years he will have ahead of him. People might

:21:15. > :21:18.think these are great for the players but they are really

:21:19. > :21:22.important in terms of ranking points, especially for a team like

:21:23. > :21:28.Scotland sitting in seventh, wanting to go into the main draw. We got

:21:29. > :21:37.lucky in the last draw and we ended up with Samoa and South Africa as

:21:38. > :21:41.the two seeded teams. It does not necessarily mean you're guaranteed a

:21:42. > :21:46.good draw, just that you take a bit of the risk out of it. Scotland are

:21:47. > :21:51.seventh and that is the highest we have been for a long time. They just

:21:52. > :21:55.need to be winning. Today is all about winning. They will if they get

:21:56. > :22:01.the performance they had against Australia. What they need to do is

:22:02. > :22:05.dictate the tempo. I think they reacted to see what Argentina did.

:22:06. > :22:08.Today they've got to make the running and if they do that and they

:22:09. > :22:15.hit the level of performance then they can win this and that would be

:22:16. > :22:22.a very good Autumn test. That should be their game plan. What do you

:22:23. > :22:26.think Georgia will do? They usually are the hunted and they will become

:22:27. > :22:33.the hunter. Obviously they will use their strengths but as I said it is

:22:34. > :22:37.how the foreheads and the back link together, especially when the game

:22:38. > :22:49.starts to get structured. Without that cohesion they can be a risk.

:22:50. > :22:53.For Scotland, absorbing pressure. The one thing Scotland need to get

:22:54. > :22:59.better at is breaking it down the line. They struggle against the good

:23:00. > :23:06.teams. Stuart Hogg is exciting, the wingers are exciting, turning on the

:23:07. > :23:10.ball is exciting. When we get the feeling, we struggled to break the

:23:11. > :23:23.line. Hopefully, we can take them on fast. The last two weeks, Hugh Jones

:23:24. > :23:27.has been an inspiration. He scored two tries against Australia. He's

:23:28. > :23:35.not playing today. Mark Bennett is an outstanding player and could be

:23:36. > :23:45.inspiring. Stuart Hogg has had a quiet Autumn. He loves this ground.

:23:46. > :23:49.Maybe this is the game when he steps up and provides inspiration. If

:23:50. > :23:57.Georgia can handle the time and space they will do OK. I expect them

:23:58. > :24:01.to be very aggressive and then they will have a very good chance of

:24:02. > :24:08.putting in a performance they can be proud of. The huge incentive for

:24:09. > :24:13.Georgia is they are knocking on the door of the Six Nations, they are

:24:14. > :24:22.desperate to take the scalp of a Six Nations side. They've beaten all the

:24:23. > :24:25.second-tier nations, they have not beaten first-tier nations. They will

:24:26. > :24:32.target this as their biggest game ever. It will be their ninth win in

:24:33. > :24:41.a calendar year. Huge incentive for them. As they come out into this

:24:42. > :24:46.brisk afternoon in Ayrshire the crowd are showing their appreciation

:24:47. > :24:51.for this Scotland side playing their second ever test at Rugby Park. We

:24:52. > :25:24.get ready for the anthems. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and

:25:25. > :25:25.girls, please be upstanding as we observe the anthems for both

:25:26. > :28:21.countries. First of all, Georgia. Let's handover to our commentary

:28:22. > :28:28.team. The Georgia National rugby team, nicknamed after the

:28:29. > :28:39.traditional sport that is so similar to rugby in Georgia that it has

:28:40. > :28:47.replaced it. The grey brothers provide the boiler house and

:28:48. > :28:54.physicality. They can win the game if they get the upper hand. If there

:28:55. > :28:59.is an X Factor it might come from this back division. 12 of the team

:29:00. > :29:06.come from Glasgow or Edinburgh. The team are full of familiar faces.

:29:07. > :29:13.Often at the end of the season, the rugby brain that makes it out. There

:29:14. > :29:20.is a mean and hungry look to this team.

:29:21. > :29:27.If the Georgians are to have a chance this pack needs to subdue the

:29:28. > :29:36.Scots. They destroyed the Samoans last week. The back is experienced.

:29:37. > :29:43.Watch out for the full-back, Kvirikashvili, and Lobzhanidze who

:29:44. > :29:51.scored a great try against Japan two weeks ago. More than 200 the bench.

:29:52. > :29:56.Plenty of the players will come off the bench to join the fray.

:29:57. > :30:09.Matthew Carney of England. Keeping an eye out for the rough stuff,

:30:10. > :30:13.Simon McDonald. Can Scotland and with more years than losses for the

:30:14. > :30:19.first time since 2010 in the calendar year?

:30:20. > :30:47.Chris Paterson is alongside me and we are underway in Kilmarnock.

:30:48. > :30:53.Todua who played on and we have the first scrum. Good afternoon.

:30:54. > :31:00.Interesting tactics right away from Scotland. A big hit by Alex Dunbar

:31:01. > :31:06.in midfield and then a kick you often see, a high kick. The ball was

:31:07. > :31:12.knocked on and this will give us an indication as to what will happen at

:31:13. > :31:19.set pieces. A formidable Jordan -- Georgian pack. Scotland, young

:31:20. > :31:24.props, over 100 caps at hooker in Ross Ford, looking forward to this

:31:25. > :31:34.challenge. Let's see if Scotland can attack one of the Georgian

:31:35. > :31:40.strengths. Bregvadze say, will stuff. Mikautadze eh, Montpellier.

:31:41. > :31:45.Nemsadze eh, Bristol. An all French shrank back row.

:31:46. > :31:53.It's that front row unit, Nariashvili will be putting the

:31:54. > :32:04.Scottish scrum to the test. Solid Scottish scrum. They creep

:32:05. > :32:27.ahead. After Seymour! See more down the

:32:28. > :32:31.left wing and that's an indication of just how Vern Cotter has changed

:32:32. > :32:37.the attacking mindset of this team. Outstanding from Scotland. Rock

:32:38. > :32:42.solid scrum and allowed the platform to play from. Alex Dunbar took it

:32:43. > :32:46.across midfield and a lovely pass from Russell. Seymour almost gets

:32:47. > :33:05.away, but he is tackled by Todua and into touch.

:33:06. > :33:21.Ball in two hands, half-break. Gray provides the shield.

:33:22. > :33:32.Spreading this point of attack. Watson away on the left wing.

:33:33. > :33:37.Gorgodze stranded behind. Gray, the inside pass to his brother, Richie

:33:38. > :33:38.Gray. Scotland going through the phases. Making this Georgian team

:33:39. > :33:52.defend. Penalty for holding on, I think it

:33:53. > :33:57.was Zander Fagerson. Hit hard by Mikautadze the, the front row. You

:33:58. > :34:04.can see what Scotland are trying to do, they are trying to be direct and

:34:05. > :34:07.get quick ball to free the space on the outside edge. Gorgodze is in

:34:08. > :34:12.there after Mikautadze the's tackle and the first penalty goes to the

:34:13. > :34:19.Georgians. Be really careful lifting legs if you're trying to clear

:34:20. > :34:26.players. Eric Kush filly who is really prolific. Scored all the

:34:27. > :34:31.points last week. -- Kvirikashvili. Kicked ten points against Samoa. All

:34:32. > :34:37.six points against Scotland five years ago. Tenth successive start

:34:38. > :34:46.the day. This Georgian line-out has been secure. Nariashvili at the

:34:47. > :34:59.back. Kolelishvili, the number six. Another talismanic player. Nemsadze

:35:00. > :35:04.adjoins. Great little break down the blindside! Incredible little try.

:35:05. > :35:14.Extraordinary. It looked as though the maul was all over. What a

:35:15. > :35:18.player. We are going to double-check, Matthew Carley wants

:35:19. > :35:23.to double check. City mode will check to see if he touched down.

:35:24. > :35:29.What a finish if he has scored. This guy played in the World Cup last

:35:30. > :35:31.year and set fire to the World Cup. Whether there's a potential

:35:32. > :35:38.obstruction as the player comes down channel. Wanted to hear Matthew

:35:39. > :35:43.Carley's instructions. Looking to see if the ball was knocked forward

:35:44. > :35:47.and if there was obstruction. This guy is electric. The distribution

:35:48. > :35:53.isn't great from the maul, but he picks it up and reacts first. It

:35:54. > :36:00.looks like a tried to me. I don't think the ball was knocked on at the

:36:01. > :36:06.back of the maul. Did Gorgodze obstruct Tommy Seymour? That's the

:36:07. > :36:13.allegation. This is the angle. Number 11, Tommy Seymour. He holds

:36:14. > :36:22.out his arm. It's whether he was passed him before contact.

:36:23. > :36:34.We are going to have another look, I think. I'm happy, that's all the

:36:35. > :36:45.angles. Seven puts his hand out. Does he grabbed the Scottish player?

:36:46. > :36:52.No. Happy towards the dry? -- happy to award the try. Correct. That is a

:36:53. > :36:56.great start for the Georgians. I think he did grab Seymour, but

:36:57. > :37:03.Seymour was already committed and he had probably already gone past. What

:37:04. > :37:08.a picked up by Lobzhanidze. Not what you want as a scrum-half, you want

:37:09. > :37:12.the ball into your hands. It's a very, very close call. You can't

:37:13. > :37:21.deny the quality of the finish from the 20-year-old scrum-half. A first

:37:22. > :37:25.tried to Georgia. Kvirikashvili with a left foot. Let's not beat around

:37:26. > :37:30.the bush. This team wants to play in the Six Nations. They are ranked

:37:31. > :37:35.above the Italians. They've won the second level competition for years.

:37:36. > :37:48.Six minutes gone, Bailey by five points. -- they lead by five points.

:37:49. > :37:54.He's pulled it. That is a warning shot across the Scottish rugby

:37:55. > :37:55.team's bowels. It came from the driving line-out, which was well

:37:56. > :38:07.managed. -- BOAs. Did the Georgian number seven grab

:38:08. > :38:19.Tommy Seymour? The TMO said no. Very close.

:38:20. > :38:30.Malaguradze clears from his danger area. These two centres for the

:38:31. > :38:37.Georgians, Sharikadze and shed Lindsay both play in France. Two of

:38:38. > :38:45.the Georgian backs play in the Sorenson 's franchise. -- Saracens.

:38:46. > :38:54.Taken well by Wilson at the back. Off comes Watson and hits Dunbar. He

:38:55. > :39:01.skips past the first tackle. A sense of urgency from the Scots.

:39:02. > :39:09.A little slip. Hogg is enveloped. It certainly makes for an interesting

:39:10. > :39:30.game. Laidlaw switches it from right to

:39:31. > :39:36.left. Wilson has Hogg. Seymour is chasing. It could be a trifle

:39:37. > :39:43.Seymour! We'll have to see this one again but that's a great piece of

:39:44. > :39:48.play. TMO again. This is what Scotland do well. Even though they

:39:49. > :39:56.are five points behind, they've had all the possession. Try, yes or no.

:39:57. > :40:01.Is it a try? Yes or no? Tommy Seymour, so electric. Did he get on

:40:02. > :40:09.the end of Hogg's chip? Good play by Scotland. Greig Laidlaw spotting the

:40:10. > :40:15.space down the blindside. Stuart Hogg with a lovely weighted kick.

:40:16. > :40:24.Yeah! For me, Tommy Seymour gets there. A lovely kick. Did he touch

:40:25. > :40:29.it down? The dead ball areas are short. It was an accurate kick. Was

:40:30. > :40:35.there any contact on the ball and the ground? Doesn't have to have

:40:36. > :40:40.downward pressure. There has to be contact with the ball as it's on the

:40:41. > :40:55.ground. We're going to see it at full feed. -- speed. He is so sharp,

:40:56. > :41:04.Tommy Seymour. Clubmates playing together, Hogg and Seymour. It looks

:41:05. > :41:07.in full speed likely got there. Let's have another look. Good

:41:08. > :41:18.awareness of where the space is on the blindside. Let's have a close

:41:19. > :41:27.look. What's your call? Any other angles? The TMO is asking for any

:41:28. > :41:37.other angles. I have a decision. Go ahead. The director wants to show me

:41:38. > :41:49.one more angle. Show that to me full is beat. The TMO wants the same

:41:50. > :41:53.angle at full feed. -- full speed. I believe the Scotland player got

:41:54. > :42:01.there first, does he get downward pressure? This is the last angle. We

:42:02. > :42:09.are looking for downward pressure. I say he has downward pressure. I have

:42:10. > :42:21.a decision. Try? Correct. You may award the try. It's a try! Great

:42:22. > :42:29.play with Dell. And with Wilson in the build-up and that delightful

:42:30. > :42:34.kick ahead from Hogg. This is the try that brings Scotland level. Look

:42:35. > :42:39.at the pace from Seymour, downward pressure and over the line says the

:42:40. > :42:45.TMO. Clear enough in these circumstances. Both tries rightly

:42:46. > :42:54.awarded. We want to see tries and open rugby.

:42:55. > :43:03.That, frankly, is what has taken Greig Laidlaw to France and the

:43:04. > :43:08.big-money offer. This is really good by Scotland. They've had all the

:43:09. > :43:16.possession until Georgia scored the try. Scotland haven't panicked.

:43:17. > :43:20.They've built the phases, executed a really good attack and scored a try.

:43:21. > :43:30.Great comeback by Scotland in the opening ten minutes. Vern Cotter has

:43:31. > :43:35.doubled the average tries per game for Scotland from 1.3 up to well

:43:36. > :43:46.over 2.5 per game. Scotland now scoring tries. Kvirikashvili, left

:43:47. > :43:58.footed kicker, always. Hogg was under it and took it well. Russell

:43:59. > :44:08.sees space. Back goes Malaguradze. White fitted. Seymour just takes it

:44:09. > :44:13.off the pitch. Thinks of the throw. A great strike by Malaguradze. Finn

:44:14. > :44:16.Russell found some space in the bottom right-hand corner and

:44:17. > :44:22.Malaguradze covered and cleared from a tight angle right up to the

:44:23. > :44:28.Scotland ten metre line. Good, basic execution from Scotland. A good

:44:29. > :44:36.catch by Hogg under pressure. A top quality Test match so far.

:44:37. > :44:45.Very quick off the training field. Harley into midfield.

:44:46. > :44:52.Wilson runs between two defenders. Lost the ball. Play on, says the

:44:53. > :45:04.referee. The Georgians have hardly had the

:45:05. > :45:48.ball. Scotland picking holes in this

:45:49. > :46:08.Georgian defence. Wilson is ever present so far.

:46:09. > :46:19.You pointed out in that pre-match how much quicker the ball is on the

:46:20. > :46:21.artificial turf. And that is exactly what Scotland are doing. Putting a

:46:22. > :46:44.little bit of food work. Penalty advantage. Just slow down

:46:45. > :46:48.for him. Richie Dixon was saying it will be interesting to see how the

:46:49. > :46:53.Georgians cope with ringing the foreheads and backs into play. I

:46:54. > :46:58.watched the game last week, as we watch number 12, I watched them last

:46:59. > :47:06.week against Samoa and the tighter the game got, the more rugby they

:47:07. > :47:18.played. It suggested they start with brutality and then introduce a

:47:19. > :47:30.little bit of balance. Scotland have been dominant and they are making

:47:31. > :47:44.the Georgians make tackles. Scotland with the drive. Hauling his

:47:45. > :47:45.team-mates up the pitch. Laidlaw is there. They are being told to use

:47:46. > :48:01.the ball. You can maybe the Georgian

:48:02. > :48:06.commentary team behind us. It was swigging from a bottle of whiskey

:48:07. > :48:11.earlier on. Clearly enjoying the match. Good pressure by the Scottish

:48:12. > :48:13.15. You can see how hard it is to take the Georgians on at their own

:48:14. > :48:33.game. The kicker was under pressure so

:48:34. > :48:42.it's another opportunity for Scotland in the Georgian 22.

:48:43. > :48:58.Good body position. Penalty, says the referee. This could be a try, it

:48:59. > :49:14.is a penalty try and the Scottish pack determined to subdue them.

:49:15. > :49:28.He wants to talk to the big second row. Good, athletic, second row, but

:49:29. > :49:34.could not cope with Scotland. This is built on the last 30 seconds. It

:49:35. > :49:37.is hard work. They made the Georgians defend and men they

:49:38. > :49:45.controlled the ball at the back. Joins the foreheads and backs in

:49:46. > :50:00.there. And somewhere in there, Mikautadze collapsed it cynically.

:50:01. > :50:02.Here is the ball into the back. It gets you closer to the post, the

:50:03. > :50:35.ball was under control. He is already one 44, this is his

:50:36. > :50:38.45th. I guess what the Scots are doing is saying you might think

:50:39. > :50:47.you've got a dominant pack but we will maul you. That is a great

:50:48. > :50:55.psychological boost, if you come out on top it really hurts the team

:50:56. > :51:01.psychologically. He let go of the ball before coming back to his

:51:02. > :51:05.beats. The tackle was complete. It is all about whether he'd wrapped

:51:06. > :51:07.his arms around Finn Russell. When his knee hit the ground it was a

:51:08. > :51:33.good catch. He doesn't miss many. Equally happy

:51:34. > :51:40.to be the stand-off for the full-back. It's been a quick 70

:51:41. > :52:13.minutes. Happily for him, through the posts.

:52:14. > :52:24.Scotland are a man up, six points in the lead. With Richie Gray, Jonny

:52:25. > :52:35.Gray, Wilson, Hogg and the likes of Seymour very much in the game.

:52:36. > :52:44.What's The Catch. It looked like Mark Bennett up from midfield.

:52:45. > :52:50.Wilson struggling to get up to the five metre line. Quick ball from

:52:51. > :53:35.Laidlaw. Despite the little use of the

:53:36. > :53:38.feet... Laidlaw. Dunbar out to Maitland, can he make it? Great game

:53:39. > :53:59.here. Ford ploughs on. Laidlaw is

:54:00. > :54:05.everywhere. What a scorer! It did not look like it was on, he just

:54:06. > :54:13.picked that gap between the defenders, right between them and

:54:14. > :54:19.another fine try. After 20 minutes, it is all about that. Really good

:54:20. > :54:30.control of possession and they moved it left to right. This is clever

:54:31. > :54:42.play. Almost every one of those caries has seen a bit of food work

:54:43. > :54:45.-- footwork. He used that to buy himself a little bit of space. That

:54:46. > :54:52.is really construct it to write . The first quarter of the game has

:54:53. > :55:20.flown by. Laidlaw is unerringly accurate with

:55:21. > :55:26.that right foot and his service at the base of the scrum is everything

:55:27. > :55:30.this team needs. It is sharp, the decision not going the same way and

:55:31. > :55:37.then in the build-up he keeps them guessing. Running in the heart of

:55:38. > :55:41.the Georgian defence. Really clever play. Two wingers have scored and

:55:42. > :55:44.has been a penalty try for being direct. That's a good indication of

:55:45. > :55:49.the balance Scotland have brought to the opening minutes. He's the man

:55:50. > :56:00.who has said he thinks the Scottish team have got an X Factor. He's

:56:01. > :56:21.scored three tries, that thought process... They've got a man extra.

:56:22. > :56:30.Big Robert Harley, all arms and legs of abrasion.

:56:31. > :56:50.Richie Gray looks up, stays on his feet. They are stranded. The crowd

:56:51. > :56:55.don't like what's happening off-camera. He's up against that big

:56:56. > :57:07.player. The Scots are being very clinical.

:57:08. > :57:09.Fagerson is excelling in the open field. The front men have come

:57:10. > :57:38.foreheads to help him. Watson. Ryan Dow left hand side. Into a wall

:57:39. > :57:44.of bodies. The Georgians have hardly had an

:57:45. > :58:08.episode of possession at all. Wilson keeping the tempo up. Stuart

:58:09. > :58:29.Hogg looked to get rid of that goal. That all started from Greig

:58:30. > :58:34.Laidlaw's quick. Must've been just over two minutes. There's been some

:58:35. > :58:44.wonderful attack and Scotland are controlling this game, 90%

:58:45. > :58:52.possession. Fagerson and Laidlaw doing the most. Stuart Hogg just

:58:53. > :59:00.find a little bit of space, unfortunately losing the ball.

:59:01. > :59:03.Bashed out of his hand. Scotland have 90% possession and this will

:59:04. > :59:11.all have a big effect on the Georgians. I'm going to check, some

:59:12. > :59:20.forward play. We might be about to looked at a little bit of a high

:59:21. > :59:27.tackle. I thought we would but that was not a knock-on, that was glad

:59:28. > :59:32.out of his hand. But you're right about possession, Scotland have made

:59:33. > :59:42.65 carries and the Georgians have made six. We have two players

:59:43. > :59:50.grappling each other off the ball. Not acceptable. Next time we. The

:59:51. > :00:01.game. We clearly saw it on the screen, do you understand? Can you

:00:02. > :00:07.speak to your players? Be careful. One high tackle, just be careful. We

:00:08. > :00:12.are hearing that Moray Low is coming on for Scotland.

:00:13. > :00:21.Zander Fagerson is making way. Yes, there is no tight head prop, Zander

:00:22. > :00:29.Fagerson is. He was having a productive game. On comes Moray Low.

:00:30. > :00:33.Zander Fagerson has carried lots of the ball. Low is an experienced

:00:34. > :00:41.tight head prop. He is going to the far side. It is the Georgian winger

:00:42. > :00:50.as well, Aptsiauri, with his armour in the sling. Number 22 is on. There

:00:51. > :00:53.have been a few changes after a frantic opening 25 minutes with lots

:00:54. > :01:09.of quality from the Scotland players.

:01:10. > :01:19.You have got to praise the referee for being clear. Scotland are trying

:01:20. > :01:24.to dismantle what the opposition would think would be their strength.

:01:25. > :01:27.Scotland have played clever rugby. The opposition are massively

:01:28. > :01:32.powerful, but they have been clever in attack. They have used their

:01:33. > :01:45.footwork and they have been outstanding in the set piece so far.

:01:46. > :01:48.Until now. He is just fresh. Moray Low, from the bench, desperate to

:01:49. > :01:57.make an impact, going to quickly from the mark. This gives Georgia a

:01:58. > :02:01.chance to clear. It is the sin-bin, Mikautadze returning. They have

:02:02. > :02:06.missed him. Here's an athletic player. I watched the game against

:02:07. > :02:13.Samoa. Here's an athletic ball-carrier, Mikautadze. They were

:02:14. > :02:19.frail in midfield in that game, despite having a good kicker. They

:02:20. > :02:23.have made a change in midfield. Mchedlidze, he played on the wing

:02:24. > :02:29.last week. He has come in to try and ensure things up. The Georgians got

:02:30. > :02:36.a free kick from the scrum, but they have kicked it out and Scotland get

:02:37. > :02:40.more possession. Dunbar, with the speed across the gain-line. Round

:02:41. > :02:48.the corner, the Brigade of sports. Inside ball. Ross Ford, water break.

:02:49. > :03:03.That is his second very good break. Down the left side. Dry weather, an

:03:04. > :03:11.all-weather pitch. Another penalty is coming Scotland's way. The long

:03:12. > :03:15.ball to Russell. Hogg puts it through the gap to Dunbar. Did key

:03:16. > :03:24.knock it on. It is going to be called offside. This is a statistic

:03:25. > :03:32.we're going to be showing look at that. It is all aligned to the

:03:33. > :03:36.possession. 90% possession. 66 tackles made for Georgia. You try

:03:37. > :03:41.and keep your tackle count as low as possible. Look at Scotland's. They

:03:42. > :03:52.will not be happy. They have missed three. They are missing three times

:03:53. > :03:55.as many as they are making. We are looking at Greig Laidlaw. Three

:03:56. > :03:59.years ago, he was coming in for criticism but now he is one of the

:04:00. > :04:03.big-money move is their big club France. He has been given a game

:04:04. > :04:07.plan that suits him and he keeps knocking the ball over the pose. He

:04:08. > :04:13.is a phenomenal goalkicker and a great player. He works well with

:04:14. > :04:18.Vern Cotter. His leadership has grown. He is small in stature but he

:04:19. > :04:22.leads by what he says and his actions and decision making. He has

:04:23. > :04:31.been outstanding again for Scotland, so far, Greig Laidlaw. You can tell

:04:32. > :04:43.by the crowd behind the posts, they like it. The flags squad. 24-8. 28

:04:44. > :04:48.minutes gone. Kilmarnock, it is 4 degrees warmer here than in Tbilisi

:04:49. > :04:54.at the moment. Scotland made a good start, a quick start, and they have

:04:55. > :04:57.had that. It has all been accurate. There is no point in playing quickly

:04:58. > :05:04.if you're making mistakes. Scotland have been clever and accurate and

:05:05. > :05:05.they deserve their lead, 24-8. Richie Gray plucked that from the

:05:06. > :05:24.sky. Harley, pumps those legs. Russell to Kvirikashvili. The little

:05:25. > :05:29.prodded kick. He accepts defeat and it will be a line-out to Scotland on

:05:30. > :05:34.their own ten metre line. That was a nice banana kick by Kvirikashvili.

:05:35. > :05:41.But it is handing possession back to Scotland. Look at the statistics.

:05:42. > :05:47.225 metres made for Scotland. Most of those have been fit -- had been

:05:48. > :05:51.split across the field, Jonny Gray, Fagerson. Also Maitland and Hogg.

:05:52. > :06:00.That is the balance that Scotland bring. Maitland has made 50 metres.

:06:01. > :06:07.Tommy Seymour has made 20 metres. Rob Harley, the extra pass. The

:06:08. > :06:12.referee says that went forward. Chilachava is over the ball but it

:06:13. > :06:18.will be a scrum to Georgia. The puzzle for Georgia is how to stop

:06:19. > :06:24.this game. They have got to difficulties. We have to slow the

:06:25. > :06:28.Scotland ball down, and the second one, length. If the team gets

:06:29. > :06:31.quicker ball, they are difficult to defend against because your

:06:32. > :06:35.defensive line cannot get set so you cannot slow play dying. It needs an

:06:36. > :06:43.anonymous collision to slow it down or you need to work hard for

:06:44. > :06:46.position to get a man on the ball. The good work from Scotland, even

:06:47. > :06:51.when it was a knock-on against Watson, he managed to have beat the

:06:52. > :06:56.defender and target this space. They are keeping away from a big

:06:57. > :07:01.collision, a big tackle. There is the perfect short for scrum

:07:02. > :07:07.aficionados. Moray Low on their side against his opposite number. The

:07:08. > :07:13.Georgians will fancy this. This is how they demolished Samoa. They are

:07:14. > :07:22.looking for the penalty. They have got it. Last week against Samoa,

:07:23. > :07:28.they destroyed them. They did. It just shows you, as we listen to the

:07:29. > :07:36.referee, he is penalising for detachment. His shoulder has to be

:07:37. > :07:40.against the scrum. The scrum was moving forward anyway. They did that

:07:41. > :07:45.to Samoa and got a penalty try and scored from a scrum last week. If

:07:46. > :07:48.you get your technique slightly wrong, or slightly right from

:07:49. > :07:52.Scotland's point of view, or accurate from Georgia's point of

:07:53. > :07:58.view, it can have a massive knock-on effect. This is Kvirikashvili again.

:07:59. > :08:10.He is trying to get points on the board. These are good players.

:08:11. > :08:20.Chilachava plays for Toulon. Behind them, a player from Clermont.

:08:21. > :08:23.Mikautadze as well. They all play in the French top division. But the

:08:24. > :08:31.back is where they seem to be lacking in points. It is a good

:08:32. > :08:38.crowd and Kilmarnock. Always a sell-out. A lovely day. -- almost a

:08:39. > :08:48.sell-out. That was assured. He gets the points. They have only had three

:08:49. > :08:53.possessions. They have scored a good try and kicked a couple of penalties

:08:54. > :08:58.when they have had possession. They deserve 11 points. We have not had

:08:59. > :09:01.control of the ball at all. Wilson has the names of his children on

:09:02. > :09:10.those little bands around his wrists. That is a cool kick from

:09:11. > :09:14.Finn Russell. It's like the back row forward. Wright fitted. Seymour goes

:09:15. > :09:31.himself. Dell smashes into the all action

:09:32. > :09:34.wing forward, Kolelishvili. Every time Hogg gets the ball you feel the

:09:35. > :09:41.crowd take a little intake of breath. Laidlaw gets into almost

:09:42. > :09:47.every single one of these rucks. Jonny Gray, quick possession. Richie

:09:48. > :09:50.Gray, the other Richie Gray. The possession, contact coach will be

:09:51. > :09:55.happy with much of this. That is a turnover. It is the big number four,

:09:56. > :10:25.Mikautadze. He makes six metres. Bitsadze held up by Watson. Looking

:10:26. > :10:30.for the turnover ball. Kvirikashvili in. A long, speculative kick. This

:10:31. > :10:38.all-weather pitch produces a type of game that we like. Stuart Hogg, that

:10:39. > :10:44.was genius. Sheer genius. The kick, he followed it and caught it. If

:10:45. > :10:51.you're talking about the X factor, this man has it. The smell says it

:10:52. > :11:03.all. Stuart Hogg was in the right place. He knew that Georgia were

:11:04. > :11:07.flat. There was space in behind. His perception, his speed on the ball.

:11:08. > :11:13.He's looking for the space and carries it to the line. As quick as

:11:14. > :11:19.a flash, onto the ball. He has all the pace in the world to score his

:11:20. > :11:24.12th try for Scotland. He is one of these players where there are not

:11:25. > :11:28.many weaknesses. You always think that players have speed or maybe

:11:29. > :11:32.cannot tackle. He has speed, he can run and he has vision and

:11:33. > :11:37.confidence. Look at that score. He has let in Georgia every time he has

:11:38. > :11:42.had the ball. He has developed his game, he is much more mature. In

:11:43. > :11:45.years gone by, you would have seen him take that on Win it was not on.

:11:46. > :11:53.He knew where the space was and he was composed. He finished it off. A

:11:54. > :11:54.fantastic individual score. The cold breath of winter from Greig

:11:55. > :12:13.Laidlaw's lungs. He will be trying to be composed.

:12:14. > :12:20.One, two, three steps, kick. He made it look easy, Greig Laidlaw. We're

:12:21. > :12:23.going to have another look at this. The kick comes through. Finn Russell

:12:24. > :12:31.picks the ball initially and fires that long to Stuart Hogg. He knows

:12:32. > :12:36.exactly what he's going to do. Between four Georgian players. He

:12:37. > :12:41.plucks it from the air and that is a great feeling, running in for a try

:12:42. > :12:44.for your country. He did not hesitate. The three Georgians

:12:45. > :12:51.hesitated and they kept going. Fortune favours the bold. This is an

:12:52. > :12:55.area that has improved from last week and indeed a week before,

:12:56. > :13:00.dealing with the restart. Vern Cotter will be happy with that. They

:13:01. > :13:03.have dealt with every restart comfortably. They have launched

:13:04. > :13:05.attacks and they are wearing penalties as well. That will keep

:13:06. > :13:19.Vern Cotter very happy. It has been an extraordinary game

:13:20. > :13:24.already. Vern Cotter, as Andy Nicol was seeing, has more games to go in

:13:25. > :13:30.the Six Nations. After that, he is. To be fair, he has made this team

:13:31. > :13:36.performed. He has. World-class coaches do that. He is a good coach

:13:37. > :13:46.himself. He has world-class coaches to work with. That was Wilson.

:13:47. > :13:58.What's into Gate, another little training ground move.

:13:59. > :14:12.It is going like clockwork so far. Jonny Gray, between two players.

:14:13. > :14:19.Tackle by Gorgodze. It is almost that 3-point attack. Wilson came

:14:20. > :14:30.onto that one hard. Right into Mchedlidze. Continuity from

:14:31. > :14:42.Scotland. Rosalind behind. Hogg legs long to see more. -- Russell in

:14:43. > :14:55.behind. It has been turned over by the Georgians. Lobzhanidze gives it

:14:56. > :14:56.to the pack of forwards, to the big loose-head, Kvirikashvili. All

:14:57. > :15:28.Georgia can do is clear their lines. Georgia cannot slow Scotland's ball

:15:29. > :15:32.down. We are looking at statistics you cannot see but Scotland have

:15:33. > :15:42.made 335 metres running the ball, the Georgians have made 57. The

:15:43. > :15:53.Scots have made eight tackles, the Georgians have made 100.

:15:54. > :16:18.The player who made the tackle was already part of the maul so he could

:16:19. > :16:29.do that. Fagerson has come back onto the field. The only area the

:16:30. > :17:02.Georgians might be clear with. Nariashvili giving it some lip. That

:17:03. > :17:13.is half-time. What a 40 minutes we've had. We've had tries, a

:17:14. > :17:26.punch-up, we've had a Scottish team that is rampant. These guys have

:17:27. > :17:29.worked really hard in various positions. They will be very happy

:17:30. > :17:50.with it. Thank you. It is 31-11. Sometimes a scoreline doesn't

:17:51. > :17:53.reflect what you've seen on the pitch but that was a truly dominant

:17:54. > :18:00.Scotland performance, although it started off the wrong for them. But

:18:01. > :18:03.they got going immediately, they countered that, Tommy Seymour ending

:18:04. > :18:09.his barren run of five games without a try. The penalty followed that and

:18:10. > :18:15.then the rugby was fluid and it was exciting, and expansive, and

:18:16. > :18:23.Maitland went over, and Hogg started and finished his own try. The stats

:18:24. > :18:32.reflect what was a dominant performance. At one point it was

:18:33. > :18:41.90-10 in possession. The tackles made, 87-5. How exhausted must their

:18:42. > :18:51.midfield B. The turnovers we will look for. Area of optimism for them.

:18:52. > :18:56.But in terms of the optimism we spoke about pre-match, coming off

:18:57. > :19:03.the back of that victory against Argentina, it is filling the whole

:19:04. > :19:11.stadium. The vibrancy, the attitude. At times it was like a training

:19:12. > :19:18.ground. You could see the foreheads were taking it up. At times they

:19:19. > :19:24.were not unopposed but it was like they were going through their

:19:25. > :19:28.routine. You very rarely get that. It has been accurate and exciting,

:19:29. > :19:32.the crowd have loved it. It has not been perfect but it has not been far

:19:33. > :19:46.off. The stakes are high for Georgia. It is obviously a difficult

:19:47. > :19:52.game to play for so long. One of the problems for Georgia is Scotland are

:19:53. > :19:57.bossing the space, they don't have time to play on the front foot.

:19:58. > :20:02.Chris was saying, if you don't have experience to slow the ball down

:20:03. > :20:14.then they will punish you. Where is the flair coming from? Georgia,

:20:15. > :20:18.their defence is helping, they tackle high, most of them are high,

:20:19. > :20:23.the second man does not go low to get them on the ground. It is a

:20:24. > :20:37.little bit naive, it is costing Georgia. They need to work on those

:20:38. > :20:45.kind of things. Well they've got 40 minutes here. Exactly, something for

:20:46. > :20:49.them to build on. Scotland have proven they can tackle through skill

:20:50. > :21:01.and with Braun. They are putting it together now. We've got to crack on.

:21:02. > :21:05.There is plenty to look at. There was a moment with a potential

:21:06. > :21:10.infringement. You were happy with that decision? It was a good

:21:11. > :21:14.line-out. This was early in the game and when this happened you thought,

:21:15. > :21:21.came on, this is great to be really good. It wasn't the cleanest of

:21:22. > :21:32.balls. Lobzhanidze gets it, and he shows great pace. From a standing

:21:33. > :21:42.start with, sheer acceleration. He grabbed it but not enough to stop

:21:43. > :21:45.the try. Great finish. At that point you thought it was going to be a

:21:46. > :21:55.tough 40 minutes. I love the way Scotland reacted. They struck back

:21:56. > :21:57.within 20 minutes. You thought it was going to be one of those days

:21:58. > :22:03.where we spend so much time prevaricating over decisions. He is

:22:04. > :22:08.not a bad finisher. He is one of the best. When he got up and scored I

:22:09. > :22:13.believed him. We were talking about the patterns. Scotland changed

:22:14. > :22:21.direction. That caught the Georgians out. That change of direction. Tommy

:22:22. > :22:25.Seymour finishing. He doesn't need to have control of the ball. He

:22:26. > :22:32.needs to have contact with the ball on the ground. It is marginal. It is

:22:33. > :22:36.not visible. If that had gone the other way I don't think any of us

:22:37. > :22:39.would have complained. The game is not tight but if it was tight you

:22:40. > :22:47.would be very pleased as a Scottish van and player to get that try. He

:22:48. > :22:56.will be pleased. You can feel a player easing up when it happens.

:22:57. > :22:59.One of the key players was Alan Dell. We spoke about how there's a

:23:00. > :23:03.focus on that but the rugby is so much more than that. He was the

:23:04. > :23:10.first receiver. It was not like it was Finn Russell coming down the

:23:11. > :23:17.short side. It was really good, to Ryan Wilson and then to Stuart Hogg.

:23:18. > :23:23.And then the penalty try, Michedlidze getting sent off. That

:23:24. > :23:28.was back to line-out before. We stopped the drive, store the ball,

:23:29. > :23:38.showing a little bit of inexperience. Unfortunately, it went

:23:39. > :23:44.short into touch, Scotland pushed on and they kept hitting into the posts

:23:45. > :23:47.and then they got the try. It just shows you if they had dealt with the

:23:48. > :23:56.previous line up properly they would not have had this problem. We saw

:23:57. > :24:01.this, looking back to Greig Laidlaw, what do you want me to do, and he

:24:02. > :24:07.said, keep going, because once you've got the structured you've

:24:08. > :24:11.only ever got a try. Scotland got the upside which was the penalty try

:24:12. > :24:17.and the yellow card and be exploited that in the next ten minutes. And

:24:18. > :24:23.the confidence you get from knowing that is the area with it would be

:24:24. > :24:30.most hotly contested. They will have been beating their chests about

:24:31. > :24:35.taking them up in that area. It knocked the stuffing out of the

:24:36. > :24:42.Georgians. The back play has been really exciting. This was many

:24:43. > :24:48.phases and it comes out to Alex Dunbar, the temptation to throw the

:24:49. > :24:52.pass, he could not resist. It was a bad pass and he should have been

:24:53. > :25:01.able to score this earlier but Maitland cycles the ball. Sometimes

:25:02. > :25:05.all it does is allow the defence to get across here. Scotland did not

:25:06. > :25:09.panic, they came down the short side and you've got Maitland picking off

:25:10. > :25:17.between the two defenders and he's strong enough. We got the try. When

:25:18. > :25:27.you've got so much ball to a mat, there is so much opportunity. We are

:25:28. > :25:46.talking about if Scotland want to beat the bigger teams. If he holds

:25:47. > :25:58.as depth they will walk that end. Again, they have rushed it. I

:25:59. > :26:05.expected them to turn it over but they are a bit shell-shocked with

:26:06. > :26:15.what is happening. They said it was frustrating when you defend. It is a

:26:16. > :26:23.useful lesson. That was one more try, Stuart Hogg a great 40 minutes.

:26:24. > :26:28.The Georgian ballplayer, kicked it through, there was so much

:26:29. > :26:33.opportunity. Nothing is on here. This Balkan bones anywhere. When it

:26:34. > :26:38.goes for you it really goes for you. Scotland got the try against

:26:39. > :26:41.Australia. Stuart Hogg has had a quiet couple of games. But he has

:26:42. > :27:02.been outstanding. The game has gone, it is one of those, it is

:27:03. > :27:13.great when there is a bonus, it can be unpredictable. That's that, the

:27:14. > :27:23.turnovers, we should have a look at where the positives can come from.

:27:24. > :27:30.He is a strong player and can wrestle the ball out. It is only the

:27:31. > :27:33.turnovers that have kept Georgia in it. Without it, there would be more

:27:34. > :27:49.ball. They've been really competitive. Look at the size of

:27:50. > :27:52.him, nine turnovers. The defence gets across. Straight in there. You

:27:53. > :28:00.can see there's another turnover there. That's the only thing that

:28:01. > :28:05.kept them in the game. Every other stat suggests they should be up

:28:06. > :28:08.because they've dominated everything. But Georgia have been

:28:09. > :28:16.really competitive. They've had to be. When you get a turnover like

:28:17. > :28:27.that you would hope to exploit it which is what Scotland have been

:28:28. > :28:41.doing, exploiting the space. They had an overlap. It was

:28:42. > :28:49.disappointing. If you're going in there and have any kind of realism,

:28:50. > :28:56.Scotland need to work on that. They want to keep shouting and make sure

:28:57. > :28:59.they've got support and runners, as Richie says, we had the ball, we've

:29:00. > :29:07.had the possession, and if they do that in the second half I don't know

:29:08. > :29:13.if they were going to keep up the defence. When you win as many titles

:29:14. > :29:18.of that it will be difficult. We've shown that the end product, the

:29:19. > :29:28.forwards have carried the ball. Really prominent. The are doing the

:29:29. > :29:31.hard yards. It has been a collective performance. They will be pleased in

:29:32. > :29:37.the changing room right now. Thanks very much. There's plenty more rugby

:29:38. > :29:44.coming your way this weekend. At 5:30pm you can see live coverage of

:29:45. > :29:48.Wales against South Africa. You feel it's a must win for both teams which

:29:49. > :29:54.usually ends up being a draw. Wales will be desperate to get something

:29:55. > :30:11.from that. Highlights from England's clash with Argentina.

:30:12. > :30:18.Have you ever been chased by a rhinoceros? What is going on here?

:30:19. > :30:23.That is my guy. He's working out harder than them in the gym, whose

:30:24. > :30:32.girlfriend just left him. I am going to show. Let's see if you can do any

:30:33. > :30:39.better. He has got it. Oh well. I would take him there. You do not

:30:40. > :30:44.really need to move from your sofa for the afternoon. It is cosy in

:30:45. > :30:51.here. For degrees, John Beattie said it was out there. But the rugby has

:30:52. > :30:56.been red-hot. Do you expect changes, will Vern Cotter feel confident

:30:57. > :31:01.enough to move people? I think he will. Greig Laidlaw has played a

:31:02. > :31:07.minutes in the autumn tests. This is the perfect game to give Ali Price a

:31:08. > :31:10.run. Only of the game is won. You have got to think it is, but it will

:31:11. > :31:15.depend on the first 20 minutes. They will go out there with the same

:31:16. > :31:19.accuracy and execution. Georgia are warming up. You have been in that

:31:20. > :31:25.position. Milton Haig has probably given them a roasting. They have not

:31:26. > :31:30.had their game. They have been subdued. Perhaps the occasion has

:31:31. > :31:33.overtaken them. Having spoken with Milton Haig and having spoken with

:31:34. > :31:38.each other, I would hope they would put more pressure on Scotland in

:31:39. > :31:42.every aspect of the game. At the moment, Scotland are bossing

:31:43. > :31:46.everything. More of the same if you are Scotland fan is the order of the

:31:47. > :31:52.day. Chris Paterson and John Beattie, over to you.

:31:53. > :31:58.There is Stuart Hogg. He has had quite a day. Nine carries, 97

:31:59. > :32:08.metres. The top carrier is Ryan Wilson with 11, he has made 26

:32:09. > :32:15.metres. Tommy Seymour, 26 metres from a -- 26 metres, it is 6%

:32:16. > :32:21.possession for Scotland. Georgia have it all to do. -- 86%

:32:22. > :32:33.possession. This is the abrasive Clermont Wing

:32:34. > :32:47.forward, Kolelishvili, the big number six.

:32:48. > :32:54.One man cleared out from Richie Gray leaves lots of bodies around. The

:32:55. > :33:01.pasty Hogg. I think he likes the surface. Seymour, into a couple of

:33:02. > :33:09.high tackles. He will be desperate to get to the ground. They help him

:33:10. > :33:16.do so. That is vigorous and's ninth carry. He comes left again. There is

:33:17. > :33:25.a Georgian town. They might be exploited. Mark Bennett claims to

:33:26. > :33:33.have been obstructed. It is a penalty. Just a penalty. There are

:33:34. > :33:37.plenty of Georgian players there. Greig Laidlaw and Mark Bennett are

:33:38. > :33:42.asking the question, was it a penalty try? More of the same at the

:33:43. > :33:47.start of the second half. I think there is an injury to one of the

:33:48. > :33:49.Georgians. It is more of the same. Scotland looking really sharp in the

:33:50. > :33:55.counterattack and the Georgians hanging on in defence. They could

:33:56. > :34:00.have been more aggressive. This is the one before, keeping the ball

:34:01. > :34:04.alive, keeping the ball infield. There is a slight pull on the jersey

:34:05. > :34:11.of Mark Bennett. He is right to give a penalty. He did interfere. No

:34:12. > :34:15.question it was not a penalty try. Good skills by Gorgodze and Hogg. He

:34:16. > :34:22.was ever so slightly pulled back by Nemsadze. He thought about squaring

:34:23. > :34:26.up and thought better of it. Hamish Watson is playing a good linking

:34:27. > :34:31.roll on the left side. Hamish Watson is an outstanding player. He plays

:34:32. > :34:36.much bigger and more powerful than helix. He is a massively strong

:34:37. > :34:41.player for a relatively small frame in comparison to the Georgians. He

:34:42. > :34:46.is so good over the ball in defence. We have not seen that today because

:34:47. > :34:51.Scotland have not had to defend. He can barge through players and beat

:34:52. > :34:59.players, win turnovers. He has spent lots of times on the rugby sevens

:35:00. > :35:04.circuit as well. He is explosive. He has been outstanding in the autumn

:35:05. > :35:11.test series for Scotland. John Barclay was outstanding in the first

:35:12. > :35:15.two games. He is on the bench today. There is Mikautadze. I think he is

:35:16. > :35:21.going for a head knock assessment. We can hear it in the background. He

:35:22. > :35:27.is going to get checked. This is interesting for Georgia. There is

:35:28. > :35:32.lots of talk about them wanting to get into an expanded Six Nations.

:35:33. > :35:35.The always deserve that chance. Where that competition would test

:35:36. > :35:40.you more than anything else is in the depth of your squad. When they

:35:41. > :35:52.lose big players like Mikautadze, can they compete?

:35:53. > :36:01.Again, the save ball to Richie Gray. Figures is rendered corner. Watson

:36:02. > :36:14.smashes his way over, straight from the training ground. -- Zander

:36:15. > :36:20.Fagerson is in the corner. The smile on his face, so pride, delighted

:36:21. > :36:26.with his score. It is thrown to the middle lane and a prearranged move.

:36:27. > :36:29.That is a great take by Richie Gray. The players know exactly what is

:36:30. > :36:36.happening. Look at the timing of Hamish Watson. As a ball-carrier, it

:36:37. > :36:39.is difficult to stop. The Georgians are expecting the drive and Zander

:36:40. > :36:44.Fagerson slips the ball to Hamish Watson. They lose the power for the

:36:45. > :36:51.contact that we spoke about a few moments before. He still had a lot

:36:52. > :37:01.to do to make a line. Scotland's fifth try.

:37:02. > :37:08.Hamish Watson was doing corporate hospitality at the start of this

:37:09. > :37:17.year. He is now very much in the plans for the Six Nations, you would

:37:18. > :37:23.think. Greig Laidlaw. Again, it is almost metronomic reliability. Just

:37:24. > :37:27.the steady run-up and that is what -- that is what has made him such a

:37:28. > :37:34.reliable player. There is the man of the moment. A great ball-carrier,

:37:35. > :37:39.great over the ball, and no scoring tries, Hamish Watson. A good

:37:40. > :37:42.decision for the line-out call, to play the dummy. This one came around

:37:43. > :38:02.the front, it was well executed. Kvirikashvili, the chip and chase.

:38:03. > :38:08.Laidlaw is in the pocket. Good aggression from the Georgian. Finn

:38:09. > :38:19.Russell helps to delay the ball. Nariashvili, the loose-head prop.

:38:20. > :38:30.This is the big replacement, Lomidze, the second row player. More

:38:31. > :38:42.possession of the Georgians, Lobzhanidze. Kvirikashvili is

:38:43. > :38:54.playing at number ten. Better play by the Georgians. Lomidze again,

:38:55. > :39:05.from the bench and in possession. Nariashvili, held by the centre. It

:39:06. > :39:08.was Lobzhanidze, the number ten. The penalty advantage to the Georgians.

:39:09. > :39:14.They will take a penalty. Better from Georgia. That must be the first

:39:15. > :39:17.time they have got nine phases of play. When they have had possession,

:39:18. > :39:26.they have got good return in terms of points. Scotland penalised for

:39:27. > :39:31.not rolling away at the breakdown. The player has to make a better

:39:32. > :39:35.effort at moving away. There is not very far he can go but he has to try

:39:36. > :39:42.to wriggle and prove to the referee he is trying to get out. Jonny Gray

:39:43. > :39:47.is pointing to his ankle. Maybe Rob Harley will go to second row. We can

:39:48. > :39:52.see John Barclay getting ready to come on. It looks like there might

:39:53. > :40:06.be a problem with his boot. He does not look injured. He puts in some

:40:07. > :40:10.amount of work, Jonny Gray. He is a phenomenal ball-carrier, tackler,

:40:11. > :40:15.leader. He is invaluable with his big brother Richie Gray in the

:40:16. > :40:27.second role for Scotland. It is a world-class second row partnership,

:40:28. > :40:38.in my opinion. He lives really is on for the abrasive number six.

:40:39. > :40:46.-- Giorgi Tkhilaishvili. It has been turned over. That is a brilliant

:40:47. > :40:54.piece of work. Scotland with the ball inside their own danger area.

:40:55. > :41:05.It is kicked long. Kvirikashvili, left-handed. Georgia with a bit more

:41:06. > :41:12.zip. They are playing to get into the Six Nations. They are ranked

:41:13. > :41:18.above the Italians, as we speak. Another turnover, this time by Dell.

:41:19. > :41:26.He has had a good game. It is the second when he has got. He got one

:41:27. > :41:38.in the maul before. Seymour, caught in traffic.

:41:39. > :41:47.Frustration from Sharikadze. He cannot play the number nine at all.

:41:48. > :41:51.I think Scotland can be more direct. They are playing a little bit in

:41:52. > :41:54.front of the Georgians. The success in the first half came from the

:41:55. > :42:01.dynamic footwork and finding the spaces. Spaces between the

:42:02. > :42:07.defenders. There you can see Sharikadze, all over Greig Laidlaw.

:42:08. > :42:13.There is John Barclay, and for Rob Harley. John Barclay can play all

:42:14. > :42:19.three back row positions, six, seven, eight. He can play them all

:42:20. > :42:25.well. He was outstanding against Argentina and Australia. Jonny Gray

:42:26. > :42:37.with his long studs. They were longer in your day? Shorter. John

:42:38. > :42:42.Barclay is outstanding. He can carry the ball and link. The improvement

:42:43. > :42:48.he has made in his game is his linking play. He is a threat in

:42:49. > :42:51.attack. When he came through, he was a brilliant defender, a great

:42:52. > :42:57.tackler of the ball, winning turnovers. He still has that in his

:42:58. > :43:03.game, but he links well and carries. He will enjoy the next 30 minutes

:43:04. > :43:09.so. He lives on the coast of Wales and enjoys the walks along the beach

:43:10. > :43:17.with his wife and kids. Ross Ford, again with a new lease of life this

:43:18. > :43:38.afternoon. Ford. Jonny Gray. The pack is setup for maul again.

:43:39. > :43:45.It was Nemsadze who was lifting up the leg of Richie Gray. You cannot

:43:46. > :43:52.do this. Watch, he comes and detaches and left up the left leg.

:43:53. > :43:57.That is frustration. He is trying anything to stop the maul. The

:43:58. > :44:02.referee helps out. Richie Gray make sure that the referee sees it. That

:44:03. > :44:06.is a perfect example of discipline. When things are not going well, you

:44:07. > :44:11.have to keep your discipline and put your body weight in an effective

:44:12. > :44:16.position. Do not creep to decide. It is such an obvious penalty to give

:44:17. > :44:21.away, ten metres from your online. They will replace two of the big

:44:22. > :44:28.names. That is Nariashvili and Bregvadze they have taken off, they

:44:29. > :44:35.have taken off the whole front row. Chilachava, Bregvadze and

:44:36. > :44:39.Nariashvili. They will be replaced by Alkhazashvili and Kubriashvili.

:44:40. > :44:49.Good players coming on from French clubs, Montpelier. The ball did not

:44:50. > :45:00.get to John Barclay. The ball is still kept by Georgia. That will be

:45:01. > :45:04.Scotland's line-out. It was up in the air by Lobzhanidze. That was a

:45:05. > :45:11.good reaction by Georgia to the steel the line-out. The man who came

:45:12. > :45:13.on committed Finn Russell. It was a good clearance. But it has handed

:45:14. > :45:36.possession to Scotland. This is what the Georgians want. A

:45:37. > :45:46.bit more of a forward orientated game.

:45:47. > :45:49.Todua being tramped back by Maitland. There's a bit more is it

:45:50. > :46:08.about the Georgians. Looked to be a little bit of

:46:09. > :46:22.obstruction there but there's a break the Georgians.

:46:23. > :46:38.Using that 6-foot five. Sometimes six or seven. Georgia go up to the

:46:39. > :47:03.Scots 22. He is back on. I begged more -- one

:47:04. > :47:06.bit more abrasion. Good play. Hamish Watson is over the ball, penalty to

:47:07. > :47:23.Georgia. Much better by the Georgians. Good handling.

:47:24. > :47:35.I think as it comes over it is Alex Dunbar, he uses his body weight, the

:47:36. > :47:49.penalty is given to Georgia. They made 510 yards. The knock-on effect

:47:50. > :48:21.is obvious. There is plenty of support from the Georgian fans.

:48:22. > :48:32.I was thinking, the doctor will use some very delicate instruments for

:48:33. > :48:39.this. Is that Fraser Brown coming on for Ross Ford? The studies will be

:48:40. > :48:55.needed here. This scrum from the penalty.

:48:56. > :49:13.Was on the bench for Japan earlier this month. Missed the last game.

:49:14. > :49:29.They will look to try and punish the Scots. It's a penalty. Short ball

:49:30. > :49:42.inside. They will be brought back. That is an old-fashioned one. It is

:49:43. > :49:48.really effective. It feeds back in. The ball was well covered by

:49:49. > :49:55.Scotland. The penalty was already given. Rory Hughes is on for Sean

:49:56. > :50:02.Maitland and Fraser Brown is on for Ross Ford. The Georgians will want

:50:03. > :50:17.to ask questions of the Scottish back.

:50:18. > :50:28.We can hear a huge chant from the Georgian fans. They've got the upper

:50:29. > :50:37.hand against Scotland. It's a try. That's the second try from the

:50:38. > :50:44.scrum-half. Complete domination and some well timed fisticuffs. There

:50:45. > :50:54.are just exchanging handbags. That's a good scrum by the Georgians.

:50:55. > :51:06.That's one area where you cannot do that. This is the second scrum of

:51:07. > :51:21.two in quick succession, they've lost a little bit of that. Picking

:51:22. > :51:31.up. Tries to kick it out. He was really sharp. Look at the drive

:51:32. > :51:55.coming through. A bit scrappy at the end but will take that. This new

:51:56. > :52:06.front row... The new prop is 29. A lot of scrummaging in Georgia's back

:52:07. > :52:19.pocket. Maybe giving Scotland a little wake-up call. Just missed. He

:52:20. > :52:20.doesn't miss many. Scotland are changing as well. Fraser Brown is

:52:21. > :52:41.also on. He will miss next year's under 20s

:52:42. > :52:49.by a matter of a fortnight. He's got a couple of tries this afternoon.

:52:50. > :52:54.Short cuts to the 22, longer ball back in the pocket. Ryan Wilson

:52:55. > :53:30.watches it going to touch. Having a little chat. They will try

:53:31. > :53:40.to free the big runners. Richie Gray and Fraser Brown at the back. Up

:53:41. > :53:44.comes Johnny Barkley at the back. Laidlaw peels back off. The pass

:53:45. > :53:52.Hogg. Tommy Seymour used those legs to

:53:53. > :54:11.pump away. Gorgodze just stands and invites the

:54:12. > :54:20.contact. There's another injury to Kvirikashvili. The play goes on.

:54:21. > :54:27.What a game we've had today. Good break by the big number five.

:54:28. > :54:45.Much more play from Georgia now. The big replacement. Here's the big

:54:46. > :54:52.scrum-half parcelled up in the tackle. Picked up again. The props

:54:53. > :55:12.think about going in. Tries to get the ball back again. He

:55:13. > :56:33.does. Off-loads in the tackle. Lovely little pass. The Georgians

:56:34. > :56:48.have just not that on. Could this be a counterattack?

:56:49. > :57:05.He looks up and he has a Moray Low. He ploughs on. Mark Bennett is

:57:06. > :57:12.one-on-one. Laidlaw looks up and there are lots of straggling

:57:13. > :57:23.Georgian players. That's just a loose ball.

:57:24. > :57:28.Great piece of action. Georgia are fighting for space. They've conceded

:57:29. > :57:56.possession. Ryan Wilson has made 12 ball

:57:57. > :58:12.carries. Look at that, he's landed off about four players. It's a

:58:13. > :58:19.penalty to Georgia. What a phase of play. Look at the players. The

:58:20. > :58:32.Georgians can hardly get up. A wonderful break. This is where it

:58:33. > :58:40.all came to a shuddering halt. The Scottish players going off their

:58:41. > :58:55.feet. An incredible phase of play. He couldn't get his hands away.

:58:56. > :59:08.Moving it to the right-hand side. An incredible phase of play. It was

:59:09. > :59:18.physical, it was fast, what a treat. He was going off, he was replaced by

:59:19. > :59:28.the flanker. Scored a try with back in 2010. He's made an impact. He is

:59:29. > :59:49.carried well, he's linked well. Scotland are looking much more

:59:50. > :59:54.comfort double -- comfortable. Finn Russell sends the Georgians into

:59:55. > :00:08.their own dead ball area. It has been two teams trying to play

:00:09. > :00:12.rugby. It has been outstanding. Scotland scored five tries, the

:00:13. > :00:18.Georgians have scored two, different types of tries. There has been

:00:19. > :00:21.excitement, it has been physical. Georgia have not had have enough

:00:22. > :00:27.possession, and the more they have had, the more impressive they have

:00:28. > :00:40.lived. -- Georgia have not had enough possession.

:00:41. > :00:51.Luke Garrett Russell, putting his hands on. Hogg holds onto it a

:00:52. > :00:56.little bit too long. Have rescued. A little clumsy at the right-hand side

:00:57. > :01:03.between Hogg and Seymour. They have been outstanding this afternoon. So

:01:04. > :01:12.good with the in hand. A good way to say hello. Just a little pickle for

:01:13. > :01:17.Fraser Brown, to let him know he is there. I am not sure he was going to

:01:18. > :01:26.take the quick dropout himself, Kubriashvili. Most of these

:01:27. > :01:31.Georgians are very experienced. From the 97 caps of the throwback to the

:01:32. > :01:45.replacement that has just come on, the 62nd cap. That was a good run.

:01:46. > :01:52.Rory Hughes creating a problem. The referee says he's offside. The

:01:53. > :01:57.Georgians are trying to play out of their own half. It is similar to the

:01:58. > :02:00.game last week against Samoa. They did not have lots of possession in

:02:01. > :02:05.the first half but in the second half they have played more rugby.

:02:06. > :02:09.They are attacking from a set piece, wide on the left-hand side. Rory

:02:10. > :02:14.Hughes penalised from coming around the side Ann-Katrin. They are

:02:15. > :02:18.attacking and adding an extra pass, they have numbers on the line and

:02:19. > :02:23.options to carry, rather than just the scrum-half being direct. I think

:02:24. > :02:37.it suits them better. They have improved as the game has gone on.

:02:38. > :02:50.This is Alkhazashvili from Toulon. The number seven is Asieshvili. The

:02:51. > :02:55.number nine has really impressed. He has been dynamic and he has made

:02:56. > :03:06.ground. Physical as well for a man of reasonably small stature. The

:03:07. > :03:14.little chaired by Lobzhanidze. It does not quite work for them. Murray

:03:15. > :03:19.Hughes gets it for the Scots. -- Rory Hughes. Hogg with that

:03:20. > :03:33.spiralling kick copies. It is a beautiful setting here

:03:34. > :03:38.tonight. The floodlights are run, the sky is red. We have a great

:03:39. > :03:47.game. Yes, it was chipped through by Lobzhanidze. The Georgian under

:03:48. > :03:54.pressure from Dunbar. Georgia are improving, the identifying the

:03:55. > :03:58.space. That is the view tonight. Kilmarnock, just south-west of

:03:59. > :04:02.Glasgow, looting and to the snowcapped peaks of the Isle of

:04:03. > :04:06.Arran. It is just above freezing and this all-weather pitch has been

:04:07. > :04:13.brilliant today. As have some of these players. It has been great,

:04:14. > :04:17.played quickly and aggressively. We have had tries and it has been

:04:18. > :04:23.hard-fought. Sometimes you can look at the scoreboard and thing, 38-16,

:04:24. > :04:27.Scotland have padded the runway. They had to work for the tries in

:04:28. > :04:38.the first half and it was against a determined defence. Georgia are

:04:39. > :04:43.fighting all the way. Jonny Gray, lots of these forwards have a sneaky

:04:44. > :04:48.run through the line-out. Jonny Gray being penalised for contact. As we

:04:49. > :04:57.have another related Jonny Gray running right across, he got his

:04:58. > :05:06.timing wrong. That is terrible. That is not getting your timing wrong! If

:05:07. > :05:13.this is a good kick, that puts a lot of pressure on Scotland to defend.

:05:14. > :05:19.It is not. That is a big mistake. That was an opportunity for Georgia

:05:20. > :05:25.to make the last 15 minutes more interesting. That was from

:05:26. > :05:29.Tsiklauri. It is good to see Finn Russell back, considering what

:05:30. > :05:40.happened to him late Les season. Over the summer he has come back to

:05:41. > :05:42.great form. The big man in the yellow T-shirt complaining, pointing

:05:43. > :05:49.up the pitch. It may be worth checking this. The Georgian food has

:05:50. > :05:53.to be over the line when he catches the ball, I did they catch the ball

:05:54. > :06:07.and then take his foot over. The benefit of the doubt. I think we

:06:08. > :06:11.will take the scrum. Yes. It is a centrefield scrum. Options either

:06:12. > :06:22.side. We will keep the ball on the back of their scrum if we can keep

:06:23. > :06:28.dominant. They will look for Lobzhanidze. The three placements,

:06:29. > :06:33.the hooker is getting his second cap, and the two props are under 26

:06:34. > :06:43.and 45th cap and they are still in their 20s. The number 18, he is

:06:44. > :06:54.still only 20. The props will get better with age.

:06:55. > :07:01.Lomidze has been outstanding. They have good depth. They're making a

:07:02. > :07:06.fight of this. What would you do about a team like Georgia that is

:07:07. > :07:12.ranked above the Italians are not included in the Six Nations? In

:07:13. > :07:15.terms of inclusion? I think they deserve an opportunity. It would be

:07:16. > :07:20.sad to see anyone dropping out of the Six Nations. It is a good

:07:21. > :07:27.product. Georgia would be a good addition to it. It would be more

:07:28. > :07:43.opportunities for them to play the best opposition. They have got that

:07:44. > :07:51.year. Penalty to Georgia. To the scrum-half. You're right, the number

:07:52. > :07:58.19 has been in everything since he has come onto the pitch. Lobzhanidze

:07:59. > :08:04.legs up, a pocket of three heavyweight forwards. They make a

:08:05. > :08:10.good six, seven metres. Lobzhanidze again. The tight game suits the

:08:11. > :08:13.Georgians. The chip is charged down. That will be a penalty advantage.

:08:14. > :08:18.There is lots to the Georgian game that is to be admired. There is, and

:08:19. > :08:28.it is built in the scrum. The replacement front row. Murray Law.

:08:29. > :08:33.Any more penalties and he will be given a yellow card and in the

:08:34. > :08:37.sin-bin. Their players built on the set piece, obviously. I will be

:08:38. > :08:40.surprised if they do not take another scrum. It looks like they

:08:41. > :08:47.are going for the line-out. I am surprised. The line-out has not been

:08:48. > :08:54.effective but their drive has been good. The scrum has been more

:08:55. > :09:05.dominant than the line-out. Lobzhanidze should be looking to get

:09:06. > :09:10.that five metres from the goal-line. It was Kvirikashvili with the kick.

:09:11. > :09:17.It was well read. Jonny Gray is tracking back, helped by his

:09:18. > :09:23.brother. Laid barks instructions. He has Finn Russell straight behind

:09:24. > :09:37.him. -- Greig Laidlaw barks instructions. Taking quickly. That

:09:38. > :09:42.is a mistake. He has handed the ball to be Scots with a long kick. They

:09:43. > :09:46.might want to try and punish the Georgians. He will be frustrated

:09:47. > :09:52.with that one. It goes back to their decision to kick to touch with the

:09:53. > :09:57.line-out. I thought they would take the scrum. Then from the

:09:58. > :10:02.counterattack from Hogg's clearance kick, they turned it over. This is

:10:03. > :10:08.an opportunity for Scotland who have not had lots of possession in the

:10:09. > :10:12.last five minutes. This is a chance to launch an attack from a set

:10:13. > :10:21.piece. In the first half, we were talking about 90% possession for

:10:22. > :10:34.Scotland. It is now down to 61%. Hogg has made the most metres, 115.

:10:35. > :10:41.Greig Laidlaw loops are at the ever present forwards, Fraser Brown in

:10:42. > :10:46.behind. That was knocked on. It will be pulled back for the scrum, unless

:10:47. > :10:50.there is an advantage. A couple of mistakes creeping into what has been

:10:51. > :10:58.a great game. It is frustrating. He is trying to straighten the line

:10:59. > :11:01.really well. Alex Dunbar. It is an obvious knock-on. He is trying to

:11:02. > :11:07.come back towards the ball which makes it harder for the defender. He

:11:08. > :11:09.is trying to catch in his hands, which is a more difficult skill,

:11:10. > :11:15.with your hands coming back towards the ball. He should be executing

:11:16. > :11:21.that, but I can understand his frustration is and what he is trying

:11:22. > :11:31.to do. You can see the shape of some of these scrummages. Gorgodze,

:11:32. > :11:37.joining in on the background. He was a basketball player. He only took up

:11:38. > :11:41.rugby at the age of 16. He was signed and the big-money deal from

:11:42. > :11:48.Toulon to Montpelier. He is a capable player. The two Grays have

:11:49. > :11:53.been good. Look at the beautiful picture from Kilmarnock, the red

:11:54. > :12:01.sunset. The floodlights on, the packed stadium and lots of Georgian

:12:02. > :12:07.fans. A good opportunity for Georgia. A right-hand scrum. They

:12:08. > :12:11.will probably look to involve the number eight and maybe the blindside

:12:12. > :12:19.wing as well. They are looking at the short side. Tsiklauri. Ali Price

:12:20. > :12:23.is on, the lad from Kings Lynn is on for his first cap. He has beaten

:12:24. > :12:29.more defenders than any other scrum-half in PRO12. He is coming on

:12:30. > :12:32.for a Greig Laidlaw and a minute. Georgia with the scrum. They will

:12:33. > :12:38.have to do this again. It is good refereeing. We can be critical of

:12:39. > :12:43.referees trying to end the scrum to see or give a penalty one way or

:12:44. > :12:47.another to move onto the next scrum. That was good refereeing. They both

:12:48. > :12:56.popped up under the pressure. It is quite rightly reset. Both sides came

:12:57. > :13:09.up at the same time. He must have heard me!

:13:10. > :13:18.It has been much better for Georgia in the second half but they have

:13:19. > :13:22.still made 110 tackles to Scotland's 55. A punishing scrum by the

:13:23. > :13:35.Georgians. If there is one phase they have dominated, it has been the

:13:36. > :13:41.scrum. He did warn them. I told you, you did not stay square. Off you go.

:13:42. > :13:49.There is no point arguing, because he has been warned. He is leaving

:13:50. > :13:55.the pitch. He will take no further part. That is Murray law. For the

:13:56. > :14:03.next 40 minutes, it will be down to 14 men for Scotland. He was one. And

:14:04. > :14:10.the tight head side, we will have to look. That is Moray Low and the

:14:11. > :14:20.first side. Number 18, with his back-up. It is about whether you

:14:21. > :14:24.drive straight. He will argue that his opposite number is coming in

:14:25. > :14:30.round the corner. That is not how the referee sees it. Greig Laidlaw

:14:31. > :14:34.leaving the field. An inspirational performance by those two players.

:14:35. > :14:45.Greig Laidlaw and Jonny Gray, outstanding. Ali Price is on at

:14:46. > :14:55.number nine. He is a keen scuba diver. Great game in the PRO12, born

:14:56. > :14:58.in Kings Lynn, as we said. Grant Gilchrist is also one for Scotland,

:14:59. > :15:05.trying to take the sting out of the tail of the Georgian tent. John

:15:06. > :15:13.Barclay appealing to the assistance. Dunbar with the long kick. Todua is

:15:14. > :15:19.back there. He looks alongside. Not very convincing. The scrum-half has

:15:20. > :15:28.been one of the players of the game. That was a good pick-up by

:15:29. > :15:34.Tkhilaishvili. At number nine, Lomidze has had an incredible game.

:15:35. > :15:46.George a sneak through. This is better play by Malaguradze. The long

:15:47. > :15:53.pass, the little number nine doctrine. Dragged into touch. Great

:15:54. > :16:02.attacking play by this Georgian team, they've woken up again. Good

:16:03. > :16:07.defence by Scotland. He was looking for his hat-trick. There is a little

:16:08. > :16:17.bit more afters. Passion still running high, which is good to see.

:16:18. > :16:23.Good play by the Georgians. He throws the long ball over the top.

:16:24. > :16:30.He should pop it inside. Finn Russell reads it.

:16:31. > :16:36.We've not spoken much about the Scottish defence but it's been good.

:16:37. > :16:44.They've not let the Georgians make too much ground. Good take. Under

:16:45. > :16:50.five minutes left of what has been an enthralling competition. Scotland

:16:51. > :17:06.with the drive, the white jerseys ploughing ahead. He takes the quick

:17:07. > :17:15.one. He's inside Rory Hughes! My goodness! A try from just about

:17:16. > :17:24.their online. Absolutely poetic here in Kilmarnock. Finished off by that

:17:25. > :17:29.man. Brilliant by Scotland. The quickness, the awareness, Rory

:17:30. > :17:32.Hughes supporting him, and as the Georgians got back it was Stuart

:17:33. > :17:38.Hogg who was fighting so much harder. He knows that he can take

:17:39. > :17:50.that quickly. He has the awareness to time his pass. Rory Hughes was

:17:51. > :17:56.calm under pressure. It is the support from Hughes, then from Hogg,

:17:57. > :18:10.and that's a good drive from Scotland. Don't underestimate that.

:18:11. > :18:17.Distributing the pass at the right point. What a finale, what a finish,

:18:18. > :18:22.what a try. Two years ago they were talking about how Scotland could not

:18:23. > :18:28.score tries. Now the man helping them score of is off to Montpellier

:18:29. > :18:41.to coach some of these Georgian players.

:18:42. > :18:49.Good attempt from Finn Russell. We've had a great game today.

:18:50. > :18:53.Absolutely outstanding. He is just on, a couple of good passes and then

:18:54. > :19:00.this, a big impact in the game on his first. Calm under pressure. He's

:19:01. > :19:07.had a couple of run-ins. He will have enjoyed them. He's had that

:19:08. > :19:27.last ten metres to savour that feeling.

:19:28. > :19:46.Russell, left footed. Richie Gray knew what he was doing there. Jonny

:19:47. > :19:48.Gray, rather. This is Stuart Hogg, just less than a minute to go in

:19:49. > :20:03.this enthralling competition. This game has not stopped. Good

:20:04. > :20:14.shield. Things are going right, goes left instead. Richie Gray from

:20:15. > :20:15.Toulouse. You can tell it is coordinated. What a fitting way to

:20:16. > :20:34.end this match. He's got Finn Russell if he wants

:20:35. > :20:38.them. Nearly bounced. It will be a bit of a Georgian ball. I'm just

:20:39. > :20:44.ticking away at the end of a pulsating match where Scotland have

:20:45. > :20:52.deserved their win. It's been the best record by a Scottish team in a

:20:53. > :20:58.calendar year. The first time they've won two matches on the trot

:20:59. > :21:02.at home since 2010. Stuart Hogg wisely left that. They are desperate

:21:03. > :21:09.for another try. Time is ticking away. Good block. Grant Gilchrist.

:21:10. > :21:16.He goes up himself. Richie Gray blasts over. It is interesting the

:21:17. > :21:21.way Finn Russell puts his right hand up to ask for the ball. Good run by

:21:22. > :21:32.Allan, who has been everywhere since he came on the pitch. They've

:21:33. > :21:37.produced a lot of ball. There's nearly a minute of extra time. Finn

:21:38. > :21:42.Russell, the delayed pass knocked on that will probably be the of the

:21:43. > :21:49.match. It is indeed as the referee blows the final whistle and the

:21:50. > :21:54.handshakes go all-rounder, an amazing game, so many tries and

:21:55. > :22:00.Beers Fraser Brown calmly getting to the end of the match. And there's

:22:01. > :22:10.the man of the match, Ryan Wilson, shaking hands. He's carried the ball

:22:11. > :22:14.16 times, he's made 53 metres. He is conceded one penalty. But Ryan

:22:15. > :22:18.Wilson of the man of the match. What did you make of this? It's been a

:22:19. > :22:29.game where the Georgians came here with a chance of winning they came

:22:30. > :22:39.here in high hopes but they were blown away by Scotland who were

:22:40. > :22:48.accurate and aggressive. He looked after the ball and they scored six

:22:49. > :22:55.tries. Scotland have had a very successful November Test series.

:22:56. > :23:03.This team and in good shape and we look forward to the Six Nations. A

:23:04. > :23:08.game of two halves. Scotland had 86% possession in the first-half, the

:23:09. > :23:17.Georgians 56% in the second half. It was the same story when it came to

:23:18. > :23:22.territory. There are the Georgians. They had a lot but they could not

:23:23. > :23:25.put it together today to give the Scots the kind of challenge they

:23:26. > :23:29.would want if the effort into the Six Nations. Couldn't get their

:23:30. > :23:37.hands on the ball in the crucial part of the game. Ultimately could

:23:38. > :23:41.not slow Scotland's possession down. Scotland will be very happy with the

:23:42. > :23:52.way they've played. The areas the loosehead prop, Tommy Seymour. We

:23:53. > :24:04.thought it might be different. Let's cross to are present. It was good

:24:05. > :24:09.fun, it was hard work, we knew how tough they would be, they came out

:24:10. > :24:13.and put some big shots in, there are some big boys out there, difficult

:24:14. > :24:18.team, great to get a great win in front of a great crowd. You knew

:24:19. > :24:21.they would be tough opposition but what does it say about Scotland that

:24:22. > :24:26.you were able to beat them? We've been working on it since those first

:24:27. > :24:28.games against Australia and Argentina. We've had a good run of

:24:29. > :24:35.games and things are starting to come together. A tribute to the hard

:24:36. > :24:41.work the boys have put in. Three matches, two wins and a very narrow

:24:42. > :24:44.defeat. Sum it up. Plenty to work on but some brilliant stuff, we want to

:24:45. > :24:52.take it into a massive Six Nations this year. Best of luck. I can

:24:53. > :24:57.speaking in there. Very big smile on your face. A very nice win for

:24:58. > :25:00.Scotland. It was very nice and I'm delighted we've scored 43 points

:25:01. > :25:07.against a tough and ever improving Georgian side. In front of a great

:25:08. > :25:12.crowd. What are the biggest positives for you? Probably our

:25:13. > :25:18.attack and the way we've been scoring points. We did a lot of

:25:19. > :25:21.great things there. We are still annoyed about the Australia game. We

:25:22. > :25:30.feel we did enough to win it or should have. Our defence has taken a

:25:31. > :25:34.step forward, not conceded too many. Things to work on, we had a sticky

:25:35. > :25:41.patch in the middle which we need to clean up. Thank you very much. A

:25:42. > :25:44.sticky patch in the middle sums it up nicely because that is where

:25:45. > :25:49.Georgia improved and if we had a bit more time we've got some brilliant

:25:50. > :25:52.examples of that, Andy, but Scotland absorbed it and even though they

:25:53. > :25:56.were improving they were not putting points on the board. It was

:25:57. > :25:58.important to get that final try just to have withstood all that pressure

:25:59. > :26:05.that Georgia has the vast majority of that second half and then finish

:26:06. > :26:11.on a high because it would have just been 7-5 in the second half, it has

:26:12. > :26:16.put a nice little gloss on the end of it. Don't underestimate, at 27

:26:17. > :26:21.point victory is something anyone would have taken. You spoke about

:26:22. > :26:31.Hamish Watson and how he was a player who's been there doing the

:26:32. > :26:42.hard work. It was a well worked try. This was well set up. At this point

:26:43. > :26:49.you thought the floodgates were going to open. There is 35 minutes

:26:50. > :26:55.between the two drives. He sat on the bench, that is his first touch

:26:56. > :27:00.in international rugby, he's done well and Stuart Hogg in support.

:27:01. > :27:05.That just finished off the game very well. Scotland will be very pleased

:27:06. > :27:10.with that victory. They take it into the Six Nations having had their

:27:11. > :27:14.most successful year in terms of percentages. Can they move on

:27:15. > :27:20.against Ireland in that opening encounter? That is going to be the

:27:21. > :27:24.test. Our test against Scotland is the Six Nations. That is why the

:27:25. > :27:28.manager is targeting that. They've spoken about getting a good Autumn

:27:29. > :27:42.under their belts. They want a big Six Nations. They are going to be up

:27:43. > :27:47.against it. Georgia are improving. Signs there that they can mix it

:27:48. > :27:54.with people. The first half, they let themselves down. They took part

:27:55. > :27:58.in Scotland's game without contributing an awful lot. At this

:27:59. > :28:03.level you've got to play late from the start. But it was encouraging,

:28:04. > :28:09.the way they came back in. They give us a spectacle to watch. Successful

:28:10. > :28:15.series for Scotland. In a nutshell they will be very happy with that.

:28:16. > :28:21.There is confidence and the big game at Murrayfield. Cannot wait. Thank

:28:22. > :28:25.you very much. The sun is setting beautifully on Kilmarnock here. It

:28:26. > :28:34.will set on Scotland's season very nicely indeed. We will see you next

:28:35. > :28:41.time at the Six Nations. Good night. Break Down the blindside from

:28:42. > :28:48.Lobzhanidze and that is an incredible drive.

:28:49. > :28:51.The referee says it is a penalty try.
