:00:14. > :00:15.Hello, welcome to the BBC Sport Centre, I'm Olly Foster.

:00:16. > :00:17.This week we catch up with Kevin Sinfield

:00:18. > :00:21.as the Rugby League star adapts to Rugby Union,

:00:22. > :00:24.and how is snooker's Shaun Murphy coping with country life ahead

:00:25. > :00:30.But first let's have a look at some of the headlines today.

:00:31. > :00:32.The second Test is underway in Cape Town.

:00:33. > :00:34.There's been a solid start from England who won the toss

:00:35. > :00:40.Alastair Cook was the first wicket to fall...Alex Hales made his maiden

:00:41. > :00:43.test 50 - we'll have more details later in the programme.

:00:44. > :00:45.Judy Murray is going to coach Heather Watson

:00:46. > :00:50.It's only temporary with the British number 2 still looking

:00:51. > :00:55.And the first Premier League match of 2016 has already kicked off.

:00:56. > :01:02.They've played just over 5 minutes at Upton Park.

:01:03. > :01:18.You will have noticed that sport did very well in the New Year as honours

:01:19. > :01:26.list. Kevin Sinfield already had an MBE but in Rugby League he is simply

:01:27. > :01:31.known as Sir Kev. He captured everything last year but has now

:01:32. > :01:35.switched to rugby union, playing in the championship. It is not just a

:01:36. > :01:42.different code but a different role he is playing.

:01:43. > :02:03.What do you do when you've reached the very top of your game? For this

:02:04. > :02:10.35 -year-old the answer is quite simply, find another. Trying to

:02:11. > :02:19.learn a new sport alongside that has been a challenge but I've really

:02:20. > :02:21.enjoyed it. Having conquered Rugby Leaguepos-mac greatest stages, his

:02:22. > :02:29.surroundings this season are a little more modest. This is the

:02:30. > :02:38.latest. In the effort to spread their message and another step in

:02:39. > :02:45.the sporting transition of Kevin Sinfield. I just love playing.

:02:46. > :02:50.Coming over at this stage in my career was all about the challenge.

:02:51. > :02:57.I did not want to get a real job. Humble on the field and off it. He

:02:58. > :03:03.is an inspiration. He is not the first player to switch from League 2

:03:04. > :03:07.union. Plenty have done it. But their success has been judged on the

:03:08. > :03:12.field. You get the impression it is about more than that for Kevin

:03:13. > :03:16.Sinfield. It might be a new sport but he remains a role model, a

:03:17. > :03:22.leader for whom the team comes before personal glory. His character

:03:23. > :03:26.is second to none. I see that drive he's got. He is very humble and the

:03:27. > :03:31.boys respond to him and that is a credit to him. He is a figurehead

:03:32. > :03:38.not just for his team-mates but for a bigger project. He is excited

:03:39. > :03:42.about a different challenge and you can see that. He is working hard and

:03:43. > :03:47.our ambition is to be a Premiership club sitting at the top of the best

:03:48. > :03:53.development system in the country. With Kevin playing Premiership

:03:54. > :03:57.rugby. Having taken his team to the top of one sport you would not bet

:03:58. > :04:01.against him taking his side to new heights in this sport as well.

:04:02. > :04:03.Sinfield has a packed trophy cabinet, Shaun Murphy's

:04:04. > :04:07.Last year he became only the 10th player to complete snooker's triple

:04:08. > :04:09.Crown, the Masters, UK and obviously World Championship.

:04:10. > :04:15.He defends his Masters title next week at Alexandra Palace hoping that

:04:16. > :04:19.a change of scene on the home front will put him in good stead.

:04:20. > :04:33.He's moved to the country and freely admits that he has a lot to learn.

:04:34. > :04:41.At the moment I've got all the gear but no idea. I am absolutely

:04:42. > :04:45.clueless about anything other than cutting the grass. I would not know

:04:46. > :04:54.we'd from a flower. Everybody has to start some plays. When we first

:04:55. > :05:00.bought this house I went online and looked at lawn mowers. Most boys

:05:01. > :05:07.want a sports car and a fighter jet. As you get older, this goes on the

:05:08. > :05:09.list. That was something I wanted. I got that even before we've paid the

:05:10. > :05:21.deposit for the house. It is not a bad thing getting back

:05:22. > :05:25.to basics and enjoying the countryside. I can come here, shut

:05:26. > :05:34.the door, turned my phone off and spend as long as I want here, put

:05:35. > :05:47.the music on and sing very badly. Just work on my game.

:05:48. > :05:57.It was so important to complete that triple Crown that everybody has gone

:05:58. > :06:03.on about. It was the first tournament my mum had been to, and

:06:04. > :06:09.they were like, good luck charms all the way through it. As I said at the

:06:10. > :06:17.presentation, it is not always like this. It does not always work out

:06:18. > :06:24.like this. Having the trophy at home, seeing it, remembering it,

:06:25. > :06:30.being introduced into all the arenas, I know how that has made me

:06:31. > :06:34.feel so I can only imagine how it will feel walking down the steps.

:06:35. > :06:40.Those steps are steeper than they look and we always have one eye on

:06:41. > :06:43.not falling over. Always thought we should have a slide into the arena

:06:44. > :06:54.but as long as we make it down the steps without tripping over, I will

:06:55. > :06:58.be happy. Probably on his way to the potting shed. Let's get an update on

:06:59. > :07:06.the live sport. West Ham have taken the lead, Antonio with a header.

:07:07. > :07:14.There has also been a goal in the Dundee derby at dens Park, Dundee

:07:15. > :07:18.United lead 1-0. In the cricket, Alastair Cook deciding to bat first

:07:19. > :07:35.against South Africa, did not do him much good. Alex Hales brought up his

:07:36. > :07:40.maiden test 50. England are leading the Test series 1-0. Nice and sunny

:07:41. > :07:43.in Cape Town. Commentary is on radio five live sports extra.

:07:44. > :07:46.so much great sport coming up this year, the Euros and the Olympics

:07:47. > :07:49.amongst other things, but we thought that for our first

:07:50. > :07:52.Saturday Sportsday of 2016 we'd leave you with a reminder that 2015

:07:53. > :08:25.Yes! An absolute belter. England are ahead. Wales will be in France next

:08:26. > :08:37.summer. New Zealand defender World Cup. That is an outrageous catch.

:08:38. > :08:48.Great Britain have done it in the most spectacular style. Usain Bolt

:08:49. > :08:57.has saved his title. He might have even saved his sport.
