:00:13. > :00:14.Hello and welcome to the BBC Sport Centre.

:00:15. > :00:17.I'm Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes, coming-up on Saturday Sportsday:

:00:18. > :00:20.We're looking ahead to Saracens big day in Europe.

:00:21. > :00:22.We meet England's great Yorkshire hope -

:00:23. > :00:28.And Max Chilton tells us why he's mad about Indycar.

:00:29. > :00:31.But first here's a quick look at the day's top sporting stories.

:00:32. > :00:34.Derby are taking on Hull in the first leg of their

:00:35. > :00:43.It is goalless at the moment with around 20 minutes on the clock.

:00:44. > :00:46.Nico Rosberg is going for his 3rd pole at the Spanish Grand Prix.

:00:47. > :00:48.Qualifying starts in a few minutes time.

:00:49. > :00:51.Andy Murray is bidding to reach the Italian Open final -

:00:52. > :00:54.he plays Lucas Pouille in the last four later today.

:00:55. > :00:56.Rory McIlroy is hoping for another day like yesterday

:00:57. > :01:00.when he starts his third round of the Players' Championship.

:01:01. > :01:03.He shot an 8-under par round at Sawgrass.

:01:04. > :01:06.And Great Britain's divers win Gold number two

:01:07. > :01:08.at the European Championships - Jack Laugher and Chris Mears

:01:09. > :01:21.winning the three metres springboard synchro title.

:01:22. > :01:26.After disappointment for harlequins in Europe last night today Saracens

:01:27. > :01:31.are flying the flag for English rugby union in the Champions Cup

:01:32. > :01:35.final. They are playing Racing 92, wedding to become the first

:01:36. > :01:40.premiership side to win Europe's top competition for nine years. These

:01:41. > :01:46.are the players everyone is talking about, all Blacks legend Dan Carter

:01:47. > :01:51.versus England's Owen Farrell. Patrick has been following the

:01:52. > :01:59.build-up for us. Leon is built where two rivers merge, a gentle joining

:02:00. > :02:05.forces. Travel out of town of oil and you will reach the setting for a

:02:06. > :02:11.more violent collision. Dan Carter is reportedly the best played player

:02:12. > :02:14.in the world, he is the star of Racing 92. The all conquering all

:02:15. > :02:19.Black has more points to his name than anyone else in international

:02:20. > :02:23.rugby, he won his second World Cup last year, moved to France and could

:02:24. > :02:29.add a European Champions Cup but he prefers to reflect the light on

:02:30. > :02:35.others. To me I am just lucky to be part of a couple of pretty special

:02:36. > :02:41.teams. The all Blacks and what they achieved, and now being involved in

:02:42. > :02:46.a special team, I find myself lucky to play alongside some great players

:02:47. > :02:51.and great teams. The intrigue of this game lies in its contrast,

:02:52. > :02:54.Paris versus London, the wealthy French league against the emergent

:02:55. > :03:00.English premiership, the cool Danielle Carter and the fire of Owen

:03:01. > :03:07.Farrell. Owen Farrell is the man who must get Carter, the sheer number

:03:08. > :03:10.but not an nature. Farrell is known for his full-blooded approach which

:03:11. > :03:16.has helped earn 40 England caps before his birthday. But he is a add

:03:17. > :03:21.Meyler of the calm of Carter. Might speak to him after and shake his

:03:22. > :03:26.hand, brilliant but on the pitch you have a job to do. You have a job to

:03:27. > :03:32.do and you focus and you are in the zone, tried win the game. This game

:03:33. > :03:35.cannot be distilled down to one competition however important. There

:03:36. > :03:40.will be fascinating battles between the packs and the backs. The team

:03:41. > :03:47.with the greatest steel will be carved into silver. A busy summer of

:03:48. > :03:50.Test cricket begins on Thursday with England taking on Sri Lanka at

:03:51. > :03:57.Headingley. The Yorkshire players are likely to play a big part in any

:03:58. > :04:05.success, particular Joe Root. We sent Joe Wilson to meet Root and his

:04:06. > :04:09.dad. Everybody here knows the cricketing world revolves around one

:04:10. > :04:14.place, we are in Yorkshire. I am meeting and man you could call the

:04:15. > :04:19.world best batsmen. He knows what made him, his upbringing, holding a

:04:20. > :04:25.bat from birth, by 12 he was playing in the Yorkshire 's men lead. Good

:04:26. > :04:31.people skills, growing up in a working environment where you learn

:04:32. > :04:35.to be part of something quite special. That has stood me in good

:04:36. > :04:42.stead growing up. Keeping you grounded? Absolutely. What is the

:04:43. > :04:48.best piece of advice you can remember from your dad? Probably

:04:49. > :04:53.watch the ball, something as simple as that. Let's ask him. Work hard

:04:54. > :05:00.and he has always worked hard. Always played for the team. Did not

:05:01. > :05:04.have to teach him a lot, he picked things up himself. His attitude has

:05:05. > :05:09.always been good, he keeps things reasonably simple. He is in

:05:10. > :05:16.sparkling form, a double century poor Yorkshire in his last match. In

:05:17. > :05:20.much of the country there is doubt about the ongoing appeal of cricket

:05:21. > :05:25.but here there is success. In the Yorkshire team which beat Surrey,

:05:26. > :05:30.seven of the 11 players have played for England recently. Try imagining

:05:31. > :05:35.English cricket without Yorkshire. What would in your mind represent a

:05:36. > :05:42.successful summer? I think winning both series. In the test arena and

:05:43. > :05:50.again in the one-day and the 2020. We want to make sure, if possible we

:05:51. > :05:59.can get a clean sweep. These days, an essential part of cricket is

:06:00. > :06:02.winning. From cricket to fast cars, we have been catching up with Max

:06:03. > :06:08.Chilton who has joined the illustrious list of racing drivers

:06:09. > :06:13.to make the switch from Formula 1 to IndyCar. In a couple of weeks' time

:06:14. > :06:25.he will be in the showcase event, the Indy 500. IndyCar is an American

:06:26. > :06:30.institution. And Max Chilton is the latest in a long line of Brits to

:06:31. > :06:34.set his sights on the States. I have been so used to a certain type of

:06:35. > :06:39.racing my whole life, going around one of these places and I was nine

:06:40. > :06:45.years old, to different style of racing in America. As with most

:06:46. > :06:49.racing drivers it was carting where he fell in love with the sport and

:06:50. > :06:54.it soon blossomed into the pinnacle. I came up through the ranks with

:06:55. > :06:58.having success but you cannot have success without the car, when I got

:06:59. > :07:02.to Formula 1 that was the biggest problem, still the biggest car I'd

:07:03. > :07:06.ever driven but compare to the competitors it was one of the worst

:07:07. > :07:11.on the grid. There were things I wanted to achieve but as I have

:07:12. > :07:18.learnt in the last few years life carries on. He has packed a lot into

:07:19. > :07:28.his short career. And now the Indy 500. I think the race will be

:07:29. > :07:33.daunting, 34 cars, 235 miles an hour, at that speed you are doing a

:07:34. > :07:38.football pitch in one second. It's the biggest motor race in the world.

:07:39. > :07:44.Some of them would probably not get signed off by the Formula 1 chiefs,

:07:45. > :07:48.does that worry you? I do think about it, Justin Wilson passed away

:07:49. > :07:51.recently because of a freak accident. Whatever we do to the car

:07:52. > :07:58.as they will still be dangers involved. He has reason to be wary,

:07:59. > :08:03.Wilson and another British driver, Dan Wheldon, both died on the track.

:08:04. > :08:08.And a man he grew up with suffered the same fate. This was my first

:08:09. > :08:13.international kart race and I have got Jules Bianchi who was my

:08:14. > :08:20.team-mate at the time. We had a long partnership, rivalry in motor sport.

:08:21. > :08:25.He would go on to do great things, he would get things perfect. I

:08:26. > :08:35.learned a lot from him. With that inspiration he is hoping to win the

:08:36. > :08:38.Indy 500 in his rookie season. I know I have the car to do the job at

:08:39. > :08:42.the hardest pressure is knowing you have a chance of winning, I am

:08:43. > :08:45.hoping to thrive off that and get some extra adrenaline to succeed.

:08:46. > :08:54.How exciting. It is still goalless in the

:08:55. > :08:57.championship play-off semifinal between Derby County and Hull City.
