:00:39. > :00:42.They are the champions. They are going to the Premier League.

:00:42. > :00:50.Ospreys are the PRO12 champions. They know how to win. Tonight, they

:00:50. > :00:53.need to win. Scrum V Live is coming from Glasgow's Scotstoun Stadium for

:00:54. > :00:58.the first time this season. It is the Warriors versus the Ospreys and

:00:58. > :01:03.both are battling for a place in the play-offs. It is third against

:01:04. > :01:10.fourth. Both sides evenly matched, 14 wins apiece. Glasgow's 5-point

:01:10. > :01:12.cushion is down to a superior tally of bonus points. The Ospreys shocked

:01:12. > :01:21.the Warriors earlier in the season. Revenge will almost certainly beyond

:01:21. > :01:24.their minds in this most critical of fixtures. Hello, good evening and

:01:24. > :01:30.welcome to Scrum V Live. As the season approaches a nail-biting

:01:30. > :01:33.climax, joining me as Sean Holley and Jonathan Davies. Ospreys and

:01:33. > :01:40.Glasgow tonight, if the Ospreys lose their chances of defending their

:01:40. > :01:44.title look slim? I think so. They are capable of winning every game

:01:44. > :01:49.and I am sure Glasgow, Leinster and Ulster were once the Ospreys out of

:01:49. > :01:52.the play-offs but it is a big game for them tonight and if they can go

:01:52. > :02:00.and win and get a bonus point, I think Glasgow will go through

:02:00. > :02:03.because of the last game but it puts the pressure on the Scarlets.

:02:03. > :02:13.a disappointing week for Scarlet -- Glasgow. Let's look at their team

:02:13. > :02:28.

:02:28. > :02:31.home game, moving on with the Scarlets rumoured to be his

:02:31. > :02:35.destination. After their disappointment against the Scarlets,

:02:35. > :02:41.can you see them bouncing back at home tonight? Yes, they are a

:02:41. > :02:45.quality side and they have made -- made home-grown a bit of a

:02:45. > :02:48.thoughtless. It is difficult, turning off and turning back on.

:02:48. > :02:53.Last week they were busily disappointed after running into a

:02:53. > :02:58.good vein of form. Dash-macro bitterly disappointed. I felt they

:02:58. > :03:04.should have done -- gone for the bonus because they did not go to the

:03:04. > :03:14.races. If they can bring Stuart Hogg and Maitland into the game, they

:03:14. > :03:17.

:03:17. > :03:27.the Ospreys, they will win tonight. Let's look at the Ospreys side and

:03:27. > :03:38.

:03:38. > :03:44.with an injury. Tom Habberfield was picked to play on the wing but he is

:03:44. > :03:46.injured. Ross Jones comes in. A lot of players playing out of position

:03:46. > :03:51.for the Ospreys through the season. We have had some injuries on the

:03:51. > :04:01.wings for the Ospreys. Do you think that could be a reason why there

:04:01. > :04:04.

:04:04. > :04:08.isn't more breathing space between fields players. It has cost them in

:04:08. > :04:11.finishing. Winners are traditionally born finishers. Seven games this

:04:11. > :04:15.year the Ospreys have scored only three tries. The lack of the extra

:04:15. > :04:21.bonus point has drawn them into this fourth-place dogfight, if you like.

:04:21. > :04:27.I will show you some examples. I have had a look at some of the games

:04:27. > :04:31.earlier in the season. A couple of games ago, Cain Fotuali'i, he is not

:04:31. > :04:38.used to playing on the wing. The communication and understanding, he

:04:38. > :04:43.does not choose to take people go on the inside. Matthew Morgan has no

:04:43. > :04:49.options and it peters out. Last week was a classic example. Look at the

:04:49. > :04:54.space. If we see the close-up of Ben John, he is not low enough. That is

:04:54. > :04:58.only three or four metres to go, he would slide in. There is a touchline

:04:58. > :05:02.beckoning as well. These inches really matter when it comes down to

:05:02. > :05:06.the vital points in the season. We all know what happens after Ben gets

:05:06. > :05:13.a try but it is the natural finishing ability that is so

:05:13. > :05:20.important in winning games. There is a lack of pace and they recognise

:05:20. > :05:24.that. Maybe they are going to play him on the wing, I don't know. If

:05:24. > :05:29.you have got the front up front, when you do create the space then

:05:29. > :05:37.you have to have the finish. Eli Walker has been a big blow for

:05:37. > :05:41.them. Tonight, those boys have to finish. I spoke to Steve Tandy and

:05:41. > :05:46.he mentioned Glasgow's proficiency, the blitzed defence and they come

:05:46. > :05:50.quickly, interception tries, that is something the Ospreys need to guard

:05:50. > :05:54.against. They did not do it against the Scarlets and I think they will

:05:54. > :05:58.tonight. The pressure is on Glasgow. They are not used to this situation.

:05:58. > :06:03.They have the Ospreys, next week they have to go to contact, the

:06:03. > :06:07.pressure is on. I think it is easier because if they do their homework on

:06:07. > :06:12.the Ospreys back line, they know there is no pace there so the blitz

:06:12. > :06:16.defence might work tonight. Again, with the calibre of the front five,

:06:16. > :06:22.they are going to take it to the Glasgow players. Briefly, analysts

:06:22. > :06:28.think Steve Tandy mentioned, Glasgow have picked a heavy looking side,

:06:28. > :06:34.with Dunbar and Morrison. There is no slouching with Spratt and Isaacs,

:06:34. > :06:36.they are physical boys. The Ospreys have a huge pack. They want to be

:06:36. > :06:46.confrontational. I remember a semi-final a couple of years ago, if

:06:46. > :06:47.

:06:47. > :06:52.there is a team that can handle them it is the Ospreys. I am afraid there

:06:52. > :06:55.is no red zone or ricochet but there is Welsh language commentary on the

:06:55. > :07:05.red button. We can cross to the commentary team for the night,

:07:05. > :07:08.

:07:08. > :07:13.players in particular, Graeme Morrison and John Barclay, because

:07:13. > :07:17.they are playing their last home games for the team. Graeme Morrison

:07:17. > :07:24.will retire after this season. John Barclay, as mentioned, he may be on

:07:24. > :07:27.his way to the Scarlets. It is a beautiful evening in Glasgow and it

:07:27. > :07:34.is amazing to have the warm coat resting on the barrier ahead of

:07:34. > :07:39.others rather than tucked in with scarfs, gloves, everything else. It

:07:39. > :07:42.really is a fabulous night and the sun will be in the Ospreys' eyes in

:07:42. > :07:46.the first half. It will have disappeared by the time they turn

:07:46. > :07:53.around. Glasgow taking full advantage of the elements. The pitch

:07:53. > :08:01.is a bit bare in patches. It looks fairly firm initially, but having

:08:01. > :08:07.walked behind earlier as well there are some fairly damp patches there.

:08:07. > :08:11.It really does come to the business end of the season. It is third

:08:11. > :08:15.against four. Glasgow, who are leading the way for so long just

:08:15. > :08:21.slipped up recently and the Ospreys, as they can do so expertly, just

:08:21. > :08:26.coming in on the rails. They know it is a three horse race. Glasgow,

:08:27. > :08:33.Ospreys, Scarlets, battling for two places in the play-offs. Nobody can

:08:33. > :08:43.afford to give ground and that is a great chase initially. Ross Jones, a

:08:43. > :08:55.

:08:55. > :08:59.late replacement for Habberfield. He illness last week. Offside given.

:08:59. > :09:04.Matawalu thought he was going to get an early present for a second. Good

:09:04. > :09:14.thinking by Dan Biggar. At the pass gone, there was a chance of a long

:09:14. > :09:29.

:09:29. > :09:34.break out. Definitely lazy rubbing emphasise the difference between the

:09:34. > :09:39.two teams is the bonus point situation. Only four for the

:09:39. > :09:44.Ospreys. Only the Dragons have fewer bonus points in the league, 11 for

:09:44. > :09:50.Glasgow. Eight of those for scoring four tries. Picking up on the point

:09:50. > :09:56.made in the studio, losing the likes of Shane Williams, there was a

:09:56. > :10:04.change in style in the Ospreys anyway. The free ball goes

:10:04. > :10:14.Glasgow's way. They are claiming a late challenge. The referee and

:10:14. > :10:16.

:10:16. > :10:26.touch judge will consult to check on bounces kindly. He -- it is in front

:10:26. > :10:37.

:10:37. > :10:42.Fotuali'i against Matawalu of Fiji. Matawalu certainly had an impact

:10:42. > :10:52.since he has come to Glasgow. been testing the commentators as

:10:52. > :11:03.

:11:03. > :11:07.Jackson in the starting 15. Matawalu has played a couple of games on the

:11:07. > :11:17.wing. We heard about people filling in on the wing for the Ospreys. He

:11:17. > :11:33.

:11:33. > :11:35.has done it fairly effectively for from the 22. The groan of

:11:35. > :11:42.disappointment around Scotstoun, because that was three points for

:11:42. > :11:52.the taking and spurned. Absolutely. No excuse for the miss at this

:11:52. > :12:23.

:12:23. > :12:27.because he spotted the loose ball. I wonder if the Ospreys hadn't

:12:27. > :12:32.committed the earlier foul, whether that would have been yellow. I was

:12:32. > :12:36.going to make that point. What a stickler the referee is for the

:12:36. > :12:41.rules. A certain decision might come back to mind with people at home. A

:12:41. > :12:48.professional foul as you called it their merits a yellow card. Pretty

:12:48. > :12:51.innocuous, it was not a clean break, still pulled back off the ball.

:12:51. > :12:55.wonder, because there was a bit of traffic there but there was open

:12:55. > :13:02.space as well and if that had bounced kindly for Tipuric, you

:13:02. > :13:12.would fancy him from 45 metres. A good line-up position for the

:13:12. > :13:13.

:13:13. > :13:23.Ospreys. The -- the delivery was not straight. Delivery OK but the pass

:13:23. > :13:24.

:13:24. > :13:32.back, forward. It is a good view of the throw. An easy take, just did

:13:32. > :13:39.not get the lines right. King had to avoid the line-out prayers in order

:13:39. > :13:49.to pick out Fotuali'i and maybe just straying slightly off centre. There

:13:49. > :13:58.

:13:58. > :14:08.was very little in it. The first again. He had a tough time at

:14:08. > :14:13.

:14:13. > :14:23.Murrayfield. Is it revenge time, or at the Scarlets game and they had a

:14:23. > :14:53.

:14:53. > :15:03.fairly good evening against Glasgow for Glasgow, it is now Dan Biggar's

:15:03. > :15:28.

:15:28. > :15:33.turned to see if he can put the have crossed 900 points in Celtic

:15:33. > :15:42.league rugby in its various forms and it is Dan Biggar who gets the

:15:42. > :15:48.first points of the evening. 3-nil to the Ospreys. It could be the

:15:48. > :15:58.difference. There is no reason why it should not be running rugby but

:15:58. > :16:17.

:16:17. > :16:22.first Blake -- first blood to Dan away the penalty. Glasgow were

:16:22. > :16:32.flooding that one. You could sense they knew there was a turnover

:16:32. > :16:46.

:16:46. > :16:52.coming and prevention from the season to the stadium. It is the

:16:52. > :17:02.biggest crowd of the season. They have put in extra temporary seating

:17:02. > :17:10.

:17:10. > :17:20.behind the posts. Yes, there is a one that Duncan Weir missed a few

:17:20. > :17:32.

:17:32. > :17:36.again the direction his way would. -- wayward. You would have expected

:17:36. > :17:46.Duncan Weir to put over bat quite comfortably. Yes, the pressure

:17:46. > :17:59.

:17:59. > :18:07.the Glasgow captain. And up comes the defence to bring down Pat

:18:07. > :18:12.MacArthur. Sean Maitland on the inside. Alex Dunbar and support

:18:12. > :18:16.from John Barclay and that is a great try from Glasgow. Has it been

:18:16. > :18:21.held up? Incredible scramble defence from the Ospreys. Someone

:18:21. > :18:27.does might have got underneath that. Dan Biggar is asking the question.

:18:27. > :18:32.Glasgow while celebrating but it could be a -- and is he -- an early

:18:32. > :18:42.decision for Jim Yuille, the television match official. John

:18:42. > :18:46.

:18:46. > :18:56.Barclay over the line but was the Ospreys bodies flying in, desperate

:18:56. > :18:56.

:18:56. > :19:00.to keep it up. Brilliant work by Justin Tipuric initially. I think

:19:00. > :19:06.it is Justin Tipuric. The moment he rolls on his back, watch Justin

:19:06. > :19:16.Tipuric, on his back, Justin Tipuric goes with him, hunting the

:19:16. > :19:20.

:19:20. > :19:29.ball. I think he is grabbing yet. - - it. To me, that looks like

:19:29. > :19:39.incredible work from the Ospreys open-side. Alain Roland awaits.

:19:39. > :19:54.

:19:54. > :20:03.Beautiful move from Glasgow but did has roller no threat. And support

:20:03. > :20:09.from Tom Isaacs. It is such a close call. John Barclay's right arm is

:20:09. > :20:18.no we're -- nowhere near the ball. It is the one he would have wanted

:20:18. > :20:23.in as he was rolling. Justin Tipuric has done wonders. Brilliant.

:20:23. > :20:29.Absolutely incredible work. It is unbelievable to think that John

:20:29. > :20:34.Barclay did not score from there. Open-side, they love to tackle. He

:20:34. > :20:38.has made the tackle. And then he has had to call ball hunting to

:20:38. > :20:43.stop the try being scored. A variation on a theme and

:20:43. > :20:49.brilliantly done. That is wonderful, wonderful defensive work from

:20:49. > :20:53.Justin Tipuric. It is still a dangerous position they have. They

:20:53. > :21:03.are crowding the right-hand side. Nobody on the left for Glasgow.

:21:03. > :21:04.

:21:04. > :21:14.Fullback, a lot of defending to be done. Away comes the ball for Niko

:21:14. > :21:19.

:21:19. > :21:23.the try line. The ball is on its way back. It is a little fumble

:21:23. > :21:28.from Tim Swinson that makes it up to the try-line. Niko Matawalu

:21:28. > :21:33.again and the short ball. Great tackle by Jonathan Spratt but it is

:21:33. > :21:41.not enough. This time, they have forced their way over and Ryan

:21:41. > :21:46.Grant is the one that got there from short range. Tom Isaacs with

:21:46. > :21:51.the tackle, he could not be much better than that. It was the bulk

:21:51. > :21:57.of the prop against the size of the centre. He tries to hit him hard.

:21:57. > :22:03.He gets over. And if you were wondering what the Glasgow team can

:22:03. > :22:08.offer, the cut-and-thrust of a very potent back line and any grant and

:22:08. > :22:18.the power up front. They can play it both ways. This is a game.

:22:18. > :22:23.

:22:23. > :22:33.conversion is successful this time Dragons. They are leading at half-

:22:33. > :22:37.time against Munster. Steffan Jones and Tom Prydie with tries. This is

:22:37. > :22:47.the stadium where the Commonwealth Games sevens tournament will be

:22:47. > :23:07.

:23:07. > :23:17.played next year. Beautiful kicked out on the full. It is a

:23:17. > :23:20.line-out back, way back, in Glasgow territory. Yes, I did not get the

:23:20. > :23:27.last line-out right in a good attacking area. The first real

:23:27. > :23:37.opportunity for them. Again, James King the target. Kahn Fotouali'i,

:23:37. > :23:51.

:23:51. > :23:57.Wales against Scotland. Kahn ball. It has been slowed down by

:23:57. > :24:03.Glasgow. Duncan Jones has a little trundle but in the end, it is the

:24:03. > :24:11.Ospreys penalised. Tempers are very much on a knife-edge from the very

:24:11. > :24:20.start in this one. Yes. Noticeable round the corner from the Ospreys,

:24:20. > :24:24.all tight. Using their big runners. Some fun and games to finish.

:24:24. > :24:31.REFEREE: I am going to give you one opportunity to talk to your teens.

:24:31. > :24:36.There is an awful lot going on after the whistle has been blown.

:24:36. > :24:46.It has to stop now. If you do not sorted out, me and my officials

:24:46. > :24:57.

:24:57. > :25:07.sort it out initially. Or else we know that the referee is capable of

:25:07. > :25:12.

:25:12. > :25:22.producing cards. It is not looking physios grabs the referee's

:25:22. > :26:00.

:26:00. > :26:10.ligaments or worse. There is this is going across the inside of the

:26:10. > :26:19.

:26:19. > :26:29.But he is in a bit of trouble. He is being replaced. That is it for

:26:29. > :26:38.

:26:38. > :26:48.as well. Yes. Attack, Defence, huge presence. He is a big ball carrier

:26:48. > :26:51.

:26:51. > :26:57.deserving of a bigger prize. I really hope there is nothing in

:26:57. > :27:07.that. That is a dangerous pass, especially with Justin Tipuric in

:27:07. > :27:32.

:27:33. > :27:36.inside. Alun Wyn Jones slips it to Ben John. He evades the tackle.

:27:36. > :27:44.That pass took John Barclay out of the game. It is good to see him

:27:45. > :27:54.coming infield. Justin Tipuric is isolated. He gets caught. Richard

:27:55. > :28:02.

:28:02. > :28:07.Fussell. Overdone? Yes. But only when you have got the Ospreys

:28:07. > :28:17.offering themselves as they are as runners, it can become a bit

:28:17. > :28:19.

:28:19. > :28:29.telegraphed. The defence has been fixed and there is space further

:28:29. > :28:48.

:28:48. > :28:52.Across comes Richard Fussell. Sean Maitland. Did it hit the line? It

:28:52. > :28:56.was a lovely kick and a well-worked move. Sean Maitland may well have

:28:56. > :29:02.got the second. Richard Fussell did everything he could to get there

:29:02. > :29:06.but the weight of the kick was absolutely spot on. In real time,

:29:06. > :29:16.there was just a sense to me that it may have been on the whitewashed,

:29:16. > :29:24.

:29:24. > :29:29.rather than in the -- in the field all about! I think that is all

:29:29. > :29:39.right. I think that's OK. He was just in the field of play before it

:29:39. > :29:47.

:29:47. > :29:57.doubt. It was a great finish from Sean Maitland. Sean Maitland gets

:29:57. > :30:06.Glasgow's second try of the evening. Glasgow very impressive. Really

:30:06. > :30:16.showing a number of ways which they are able to play this game. It has

:30:16. > :30:48.

:30:48. > :30:58.past the right hand side upright in the end from Sean Maitland. The

:30:58. > :31:03.

:31:03. > :31:09.knee, the medial ligament side. It is encased in ice now. They will

:31:09. > :31:19.assess him at half-time. It must be pretty painful unserious if he has

:31:19. > :31:38.

:31:38. > :31:42.come off. -- and serious. It must who barred and the Ospreys.

:31:42. > :31:52.Certainly in contention for the Lions, the squad to be announced by

:31:52. > :32:18.

:32:18. > :32:23.REFEREE: Time off, for one second. Your head

:32:23. > :32:33.and shoulders are down before you go in. Let's get a higher hit and keep

:32:33. > :32:36.

:32:36. > :32:46.it up. The perennial battle between the 2-macro front rows. Dash-macro

:32:46. > :33:09.

:33:09. > :33:17.from Duncan Jones. It is happening on the other side of the scrum.

:33:17. > :33:24.easy to see what has gone on there. That is the result of it. It looks

:33:24. > :33:32.deceptively firm, the pitch, parts of it are very soft indeed. Parts of

:33:32. > :33:42.it, like the one where this line-out is being staged, look like partly

:33:42. > :33:42.

:33:42. > :35:02.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 80 seconds

:35:02. > :35:12.to the breakdown. They are keeping Tipuric. So dangerous, anywhere on

:35:12. > :35:12.

:35:12. > :36:08.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 80 seconds

:36:08. > :36:18.defence from Glasgow. It is.A good push from Glasgow. Don't kick it for

:36:18. > :36:18.

:36:18. > :37:45.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 80 seconds

:37:45. > :37:55.the sake of it. The Ospreys have Glasgow defence after a prolonged

:37:55. > :38:12.

:38:12. > :38:17.Glasgow. The crowd appreciating it, and why not, indeed. Quite blunt

:38:17. > :38:22.attacking from the Ospreys, I think. That whole passage of play went on a

:38:22. > :38:27.long, long time. Just going back to the discussion in the studio

:38:27. > :38:30.beforehand, where is the firepower with the Ospreys? Not really

:38:30. > :38:37.threatening and very well organised and effective Glasgow defence.

:38:37. > :38:47.Fotuali'i kicking ball away after 15 or 20 phases ordinarily would make

:38:47. > :39:00.

:39:00. > :39:04.some gaps appear but quite easy for from Glasgow. The Ospreys not

:39:04. > :39:07.getting any time to settle on the ball. Even though they were getting

:39:07. > :39:11.numbers out wide every time, when it did not come to the breakdown they

:39:11. > :39:18.were late -- they were making life very difficult for the Ospreys with

:39:18. > :39:28.as few as they had in there. It is one s and two s but they are

:39:28. > :39:40.

:39:41. > :39:50.structured, organised. This certainly wasn't the Glasgow we saw

:39:51. > :40:26.

:40:26. > :40:31.got Strauss running into the Ospreys midfield and Biggar on that

:40:32. > :40:37.occasion. It was a well-planned move. The second row through on the

:40:37. > :40:42.inside pass. They come through with ball in hand on that occasion,

:40:42. > :40:46.forcing the pass. It was Alex Dunbar who came back on the angle. That is

:40:46. > :40:52.the strike runner, the one thing the Ospreys did not have in their

:40:52. > :41:02.attack. Absolutely. Really hitting a flat ball with pace, in those

:41:02. > :41:21.

:41:21. > :41:28.like to set a scrum that goes down. REFEREE:

:41:28. > :41:32.If you collapse the scrum, we will get someone else on. Understood?

:41:32. > :41:42.That is one thing you agree with Alain Rolland on, all these people

:41:42. > :41:51.

:41:51. > :41:59.do not want to see collapsed scrums the Ospreys who will be penalised

:41:59. > :42:09.again. If that was a warning and the next scrum is turned in and dropped

:42:09. > :42:19.

:42:19. > :42:29.the scrum, you have to ask where is in. Certainly the angle of the

:42:29. > :42:40.

:42:40. > :42:44.collapse suggests he was. Did he grant, telling him to work harder,

:42:44. > :42:54.saying it was against three, Adam Jones, but Ryan Grant was not

:42:54. > :43:06.

:43:06. > :43:12.helping the situation. He has got moment it left his boot but it was

:43:12. > :43:21.going to the right of the posts. That is an important miss. Not a

:43:21. > :43:31.good night so far with the boots for Duncan Weir. The Ospreys stay within

:43:31. > :43:35.

:43:35. > :43:38.nine, as the half-hour mark the moment, 15-12, at home to

:43:38. > :43:48.Ulster. Connacht is where Glasgow will be finishing their campaign in

:43:48. > :44:09.

:44:09. > :44:13.Glasgow. Already, within half an hour, they are with... The first try

:44:13. > :44:19.was a rumble, this time his finishing off was a great

:44:19. > :44:24.combination, they go the narrow side, bounces the first tackle and

:44:24. > :44:31.keeps going, good strength. Then it is the snipe and that is the cheeky

:44:31. > :44:37.offload as tight-head. In the mix, Moray Low, but Ryan Grant chose the

:44:37. > :44:43.pace to get over. Lovely rugby from Glasgow. You can't knock it at all.

:44:43. > :44:49.Three tries, all very different. Very good to watch. Some great

:44:49. > :44:59.offloading. Ryan Grant has got two tries in 67 league games before this

:44:59. > :45:29.

:45:29. > :45:34.and suddenly the Ospreys are facing tries down? Massively worrying, we

:45:34. > :45:38.are passing in defence which is unlike us, giving away penalties and

:45:38. > :45:43.poor turnovers. What about the Ospreys attack? You are not getting

:45:43. > :45:47.much change from the Glasgow defence. It is making is erratic, we

:45:47. > :45:52.have to get control and move them into an area to get better

:45:52. > :45:57.possession for longer. Do you feel you can get back? Definitely, we

:45:57. > :46:05.must get a foothold in the game and not let it get to frantic. Thank

:46:05. > :46:09.you. Back to you, Gareth. There is going to be a bit of talking to do

:46:09. > :46:15.when the interval comes. The Ospreys are hoping they can cut the deficit

:46:15. > :46:18.in the remaining eight and a half minutes. Yes, they need something

:46:18. > :46:28.and they need it quick. At the moment, the Ospreys' season is

:46:28. > :46:41.

:46:41. > :46:51.quickly, the Glasgow defenders. Disrupting the flow from the

:46:51. > :47:08.

:47:08. > :47:12.Ospreys. The Ospreys are looking a Fussell. Again, bodies in the way,

:47:12. > :47:21.lazy defending, not making any effort to get out of the way. Happy

:47:21. > :47:27.to slow it down. That should have been an Ospreys penalty previously.

:47:27. > :47:37.Glasgow know what they are doing. can see a couple of the Ospreys

:47:37. > :47:42.

:47:42. > :47:46.Ospreys at the moment, especially at that breakdown. I am very

:47:46. > :47:50.impressed with Glasgow. Very impressed with what I have seen so

:47:50. > :48:00.far. That is Adam Jones. He is not quite in control of the ball as he

:48:00. > :48:16.

:48:16. > :48:26.on 67 points before the start of the evening. One point behind

:48:26. > :48:34.

:48:34. > :48:44.Leinster. And five ahead of the they are losing in Connacht. All

:48:44. > :49:11.

:49:11. > :49:21.very tight. A lot to be decided. It come from kicks to the korma --

:49:21. > :49:26.

:49:26. > :49:31.corner. The kit can drive. -- kick and drive. The Ospreys are

:49:31. > :49:41.desperate for a try at the end of the first half. I think that is a

:49:41. > :49:46.

:49:46. > :49:56.good decision. They have a pack the end it was Joe Bearman. They

:49:56. > :50:05.

:50:05. > :50:11.are happy just to get their hands not reach the man it was a postal

:50:11. > :50:16.for the Ospreys and then, a good defensive qualities shown by John

:50:16. > :50:24.Barclay. That was very, very poor. You make the decision to go for the

:50:24. > :50:34.corner and you have to get the basics right. Joe Bearman did well

:50:34. > :50:56.

:50:56. > :51:01.to his word. Since his warning, we have not had a scrum that has set

:51:01. > :51:11.properly first time. It really has been a problem this evening. Not

:51:11. > :51:43.

:51:43. > :51:47.one scrum has got the ball away at referee has done their is bring the

:51:47. > :51:57.fund grows much close it together. And in doing so, he has taken away

:51:57. > :52:37.

:52:37. > :52:42.go. Rory Best has a try for Ulster. Quite static attacking from the

:52:42. > :52:52.Ospreys, quite telegraphed. Again, the Ospreys for the -- the option

:52:52. > :53:01.

:53:01. > :53:06.for the kick put no pressure on Isaacs. And the Ospreys are not a

:53:06. > :53:16.composed team at the moment. There is not much happening in the back

:53:16. > :53:24.

:53:24. > :53:34.line. They are not causing any gaps are opening up. They have got

:53:34. > :54:09.

:54:09. > :54:14.to find something. Glasgow the touch judge. And again, the warning

:54:14. > :54:24.that the sin bin is the next step, the yellow card. We will see if

:54:24. > :54:44.

:54:44. > :54:54.that will happen or not! It is a in trouble here. It was always

:54:54. > :55:04.

:55:04. > :55:10.going to end in this kind of Still no yellow. I am sorry, that

:55:10. > :55:14.is ridiculous. He is all talk. The man who was prepared to send

:55:15. > :55:20.someone off in a World Cup semi- final, not true to his word on this

:55:20. > :55:30.occasion. As far as I'm concerned, that was a fold from Duncan Jones.

:55:30. > :55:42.

:55:42. > :55:52.Warning after warning, penalties touch judge was right next to the

:55:52. > :56:07.

:56:07. > :56:17.taken. And it is all very fractious out there. Yes. Frustration showing

:56:17. > :56:27.

:56:27. > :56:37.for the Ospreys. They can sense first half. The clock has gone red,

:56:37. > :56:53.

:56:53. > :56:58.the convergence deceiving so far. - - conversions this evening.

:56:58. > :57:04.Otherwise, that margin could have been far greater. Duncan Weir ends

:57:04. > :57:09.on a high note for himself and his team at half-time, Glasgow are

:57:09. > :57:14.already three tries to the good. They are one try short of a bonus

:57:14. > :57:24.point. The Ospreys have so much work to do. Glasgow very much in

:57:24. > :57:30.

:57:30. > :57:34.early and it was a desperate try- saving tackle from Justin Tipuric

:57:34. > :57:39.to deny them on this occasion but it was just prolonging the

:57:39. > :57:42.inevitable. Moments later, the opening try of the game. Some

:57:42. > :57:48.worrying signs for Richard Hibbard and potentially the British Lions

:57:48. > :57:54.coach Warren Gatland. He went off injured. And then Glasgow struck

:57:54. > :58:04.again from Sean Maitland. A delicate chip from Ofa Fainga'anuku.

:58:04. > :58:05.

:58:05. > :58:15.from the first half. The Ospreys on top in terms of possession by is

:58:15. > :58:15.

:58:15. > :58:21.talked at the beginning of the match about the fact that the

:58:21. > :58:25.Ospreys are not making the most of possession disease in -- this

:58:25. > :58:33.season. Is there a sign their that they have do-nothing with their

:58:33. > :58:35.possession? It qualifies what we were saying before the match. Ben

:58:35. > :58:44.John is naturally a centre. They are struggling to penetrate through

:58:44. > :58:49.the middle and they have nothing of the outside. To be fair, Glasgow's

:58:49. > :58:54.defence has been pretty good. They have been quite physical in the

:58:54. > :58:58.tackle. They struck early, Glasgow, with that first try. We saw both

:58:58. > :59:07.elements of Glasgow, cut-and-thrust in the midfield and then the close-

:59:07. > :59:14.quarter stuff. Yes, I think it is exactly what we said. Passive

:59:14. > :59:18.defences, the skills coach said that, that has been their problem.

:59:18. > :59:22.They had the initial impact, the Glasgow players are getting over it

:59:22. > :59:28.and then the support players are there. If we look at the first try,

:59:28. > :59:32.they worked it well. What they do is they put it wide, they keep

:59:32. > :59:40.going on the fringes first of all but then from this, watch, Duncan

:59:40. > :59:46.Weir, he's takes it straight at Alun Wyn Jones and he isolates him.

:59:46. > :59:56.But if that is not a forward pass, I do not know what is. That is

:59:56. > :59:58.dubious. But great back-row play. And then this leads to the try. He

:59:58. > :00:07.steps in because he no Niko Matawalu is dangerous. That

:00:07. > :00:12.isolates Tom Isaacs on Ryan Grant and he cannot stop him. But I agree,

:00:12. > :00:16.the statistics favour the Ospreys is but there is no creativity at

:00:16. > :00:22.all and they are just soaking it up. As they did last week. They are not

:00:22. > :00:26.committing to the rucks and mauls. Just getting across the field.

:00:26. > :00:33.There is no creativity out wide. And no place out there. There is a

:00:33. > :00:37.lot of frustration. The referee has not refereed the scrum area very

:00:37. > :00:42.well. He has not been consistent in the tackle area. There is a lot of

:00:42. > :00:48.frustration for the Ospreys because they are so far behind. But I think

:00:48. > :00:53.you have to question the four passes, it get a bit like rugby

:00:53. > :00:59.league, the assistant referees are there to call them. They are from

:00:59. > :01:03.Scotland but they have to call them. It is wrong. Taking nothing away

:01:03. > :01:13.from Glasgow, they thoroughly deserved their lead because they

:01:13. > :01:22.

:01:22. > :01:26.attacking players they have. Maitland is. The short side is

:01:26. > :01:31.vulnerable. If we look at Maitland, he has plenty of speed. This is a

:01:31. > :01:36.great kick. They recognise that Richard Fussell is out of position

:01:36. > :01:40.and has gas, a real finish. Then John is the blindside wing. He is on

:01:40. > :01:44.the defensive line. You see Maitland trailing behind. They know he will

:01:44. > :01:48.be left with forwards on the short side. Richard Fussell has to cover

:01:48. > :01:53.on the short side because of the Blitz line. Glasgow know what they

:01:53. > :01:56.are doing. He has too much to do. It is a great finish, well worked out.

:01:56. > :02:03.It was evident in the first half that Glasgow, off the training

:02:03. > :02:07.field, had worked out that Ospreys' blitz on the short side can be

:02:07. > :02:12.vulnerable. You have to communicate. If you're blindside Uighur defending

:02:13. > :02:19.in midfield, you have to give the attention to the left-hand side.

:02:19. > :02:24.Fussell, Fussell has to move across to the left and put the open side

:02:24. > :02:29.winger back for that kick. There is no communication. One goes back, one

:02:29. > :02:34.goes across, one goes up. There is no communication. Fussell has had a

:02:34. > :02:39.good season but he has shown a lack of game awareness there and

:02:39. > :02:44.Maitland, the kick was brilliantly placed but you should never score a

:02:44. > :02:49.kick from that distance with the fullback position. There was an

:02:49. > :02:55.element of set play to that kick and there are other instances of that

:02:55. > :03:02.tactic. You can see it as rehearsed practice. You have two forwards

:03:02. > :03:06.inside, this is a 2-faced strategy. They get a gain-line, which they

:03:06. > :03:12.should not. It is poor defence. They are trying to drag out the Ospreys

:03:12. > :03:17.defence, which they do. Ian Evans should be looking on the inside. It

:03:17. > :03:20.is therefore Maitland to switch back and come through. It is nearly

:03:20. > :03:25.Glasgow getting through again. They have worked them out, looked at a

:03:25. > :03:29.strategy to move their blitz defence and it has paid off. They are not

:03:29. > :03:33.typed in the ruck area whatsoever and all credit to the Glasgow

:03:33. > :03:39.coaches. That is where the holes are. Ryan Grant had a great Six

:03:39. > :03:43.Nations but I'm not sure he is a terrific try scorer. He steps out of

:03:43. > :03:48.the tackle. That is a forward pass again, a clear forward pass but

:03:48. > :03:54.again, great support play, great offload and support by prop

:03:54. > :03:59.forwards. That is miles forward once again but Morrison, a step, a flick

:03:59. > :04:05.at the back door and props go again. They are taking their

:04:05. > :04:08.opportunities, 34 passes but they are there. One thing, certainly a

:04:08. > :04:13.different side from what turned to the Scarlets last week. They have

:04:13. > :04:17.come to play and every opportunity they have had, they have scored.

:04:17. > :04:27.They have bounced back. As usual on BBC Wales there is a feast of

:04:27. > :04:28.

:04:28. > :04:33.sporting action for you to tuck to all weekend. Here's a hungry

:04:34. > :04:39.fighter, a dangerous fighter. I have to be on the ball for this fight.

:04:39. > :04:44.am taking as much advice from as many good people as I can muster how

:04:44. > :04:51.to manage to keep Cardiff City in the league for as many years as

:04:51. > :04:56.possible. We did not have enough time and we did not have enough

:04:56. > :05:06.money and the premiership is the big boys' league as far as money is

:05:06. > :05:14.

:05:14. > :05:19.concerned and you can't compete There is a preview of Nathan

:05:19. > :05:23.cleverly's fight and a reflection on Cardiff City's promotion to the

:05:23. > :05:28.Premier League. The back pages on tomorrow BBC radio Wales. Phil

:05:28. > :05:32.Bennett has his say on the ongoing row. A hugely important match on

:05:32. > :05:38.Saturday, the Scarlets pushing for the play-offs taking on the

:05:38. > :05:48.Blues-macro, a team they have not lost for three years. Jonathan and

:05:48. > :05:54.

:05:54. > :05:58.Kingsley Jones join me in the studio what you tonight, the Dragons are

:05:58. > :06:02.22-10 up against Munster. It kicked off at 7pm. Munster went ahead

:06:02. > :06:08.through Paddy Butler and the Dragons struck back through Stefan Jones,

:06:08. > :06:13.Tom Friday adding the points for the home side as well. Stefan Jones just

:06:13. > :06:18.touching down for this one. Ryan Omani hit back for Munster. Clawing

:06:18. > :06:23.back the deficit to 22-10. It is Connacht against Ulster as well.

:06:23. > :06:33.Plenty of tries. Beauty Andrew Trimble for Ulster, after Connacht

:06:33. > :06:38.had gone ahead. Rory Best with the latest and the half-time score is

:06:38. > :06:43.22-15 to Ulster, who remain top of the league. Let's look at the table

:06:43. > :06:49.as it stands. Ulster are top. Glasgow, courtesy of their half-time

:06:49. > :06:52.lead today, are in second place. Ospreys remain in fourth but the big

:06:52. > :06:57.one between the Scarlets and the blues is tomorrow and it is looking

:06:57. > :07:02.very tasty indeed for this run in. said before the game if Glasgow are

:07:02. > :07:06.under pressure, it looks as though the Ospreys are the least composed

:07:06. > :07:11.of the two teams. Glasgow have grown. Their form over the season

:07:11. > :07:15.has been excellent. It is a big team talk and therefore Steve and

:07:15. > :07:19.Jonathan. They have to say, don't panic, don't try to throw the game

:07:19. > :07:29.because they are dangerous on the counter. Get some points on the

:07:29. > :07:31.

:07:31. > :07:41.board and get within range because round of the regular season in a

:07:41. > :07:41.

:07:41. > :08:35.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 80 seconds

:08:35. > :08:40.fortnight. It is going to go down to those are the pic? The way it is

:08:40. > :08:43.going at the moment, I would have hoped Leinster and Ospreys but if

:08:43. > :08:48.they don't turn it around in the second half, it is curtains for

:08:48. > :08:54.them, I am afraid. The only game you can look at is the Scarlets and

:08:54. > :08:56.Treviso one. Treviso come there with a big pack and they might cause the

:08:56. > :09:06.Scarlets problems. Scarlets know what they have to do and it will

:09:06. > :09:12.

:09:13. > :09:15.give them a huge bonus if the Ospreys failed night. We will do

:09:15. > :09:25.those matches on Scrum V Live in a fortnight. The kick-off is at the

:09:25. > :09:31.same time so the action will be COMMENTATOR:

:09:31. > :09:36.A huge 40 minutes for the Ospreys season. They are the RaboDirect

:09:36. > :09:41.PRO12 champions but they know that a defeat tonight we'll leave that

:09:41. > :09:46.title hanging by a thread, just to make it to the play-offs. The way

:09:46. > :09:52.they have been outplayed in the first half at Scotstoun suggests

:09:52. > :10:02.they have took up it several gears if they want to stay in the mix for

:10:02. > :10:31.

:10:31. > :10:41.Ospreys. That was a late, deep run from Biggar. Maitland has come in

:10:41. > :10:56.

:10:56. > :11:01.for the tackle and just done enough the interval. Really, you wonder for

:11:01. > :11:08.the Ospreys. They have got Matthew Morgan, who does offer something

:11:08. > :11:13.slightly different, otherwise it is Tom Grabow and Rhys Webb, the only

:11:13. > :11:17.replacements behind the scrum. It is behind the scrum they have been

:11:17. > :11:27.struggling. That was suspiciously flat. You would not say there was

:11:27. > :11:32.

:11:32. > :11:35.They are trying things, that is the main difference. They are looking to

:11:35. > :11:39.bring people on runs from deep and even though the timing may be

:11:40. > :11:47.slightly out they got away with it once. They did not get away with it

:11:47. > :11:57.that time but they are asking questions. What is this scrum going

:11:57. > :12:00.

:12:01. > :12:10.hand in the pocket. REFEREE:

:12:10. > :12:13.U2, off you go. He waste no time in a second half after giving warning

:12:13. > :12:18.and warning and threatening through the first. The first scrum of the

:33:41. > :33:47.Yes, so many collisions in this game. Intuitively, every rugby

:33:47. > :33:50.player is always trying to put themselves in the best position. You

:33:50. > :33:54.are always gauging whether pressure is coming from, but sometimes you

:33:54. > :33:57.get caught and you are not in control and that is one those

:33:58. > :34:07.occasions. All the weight going through the right leg. A nasty

:34:19. > :34:23.together, to do a few warmup exercises, to keep going while the

:34:23. > :34:29.play has stopped. A decent crowd at Scotstoun. It is a nice facility, a

:34:38. > :34:40.couple of rugby fields to the back of the pitches as well, where we saw

:34:40. > :34:45.some university games earlier. Hospitality suites are right behind

:34:50. > :34:55.And it is not raining! Very often you have to say when you visit

:34:55. > :34:59.Scotland, it is. I have been very impressed with their game this

:34:59. > :35:02.evening. A very effective mix. You set the scrum to one side, that has

:35:12. > :35:12.

:35:12. > :35:19.excellent. Tight, white. It is pacey, intelligent. It is a good

:35:19. > :35:23.mix, isn't it? A very good mix. They have shown why they are the

:35:23. > :35:27.league's top try scorers. I suppose the question is when you have got a

:35:27. > :35:32.game of this nature, are these guys thinking in the back of their minds

:35:32. > :35:38.there is still influenced that can be exerted in terms of the Lions

:35:38. > :35:44.tour. Has Gatland seen what he needs to see? Is his mind made up? As it

:35:44. > :35:51.stands, Ulster winning in Connacht stay top of the table. Glasgow will

:35:51. > :36:01.leapfrog Leinster, who are away to the zebra. Ospreys remaining in

:36:01. > :36:10.

:36:10. > :36:17.and they set the ball rolling with Ryan Grant eventually getting over

:36:17. > :36:20.the try despite the efforts of Tom Isaacs. The suggestion of a forward

:36:20. > :36:26.pass or two but brilliant offloading and supporting and Sean Maitland

:36:26. > :36:32.getting the try. Ryan Grant getting a double for him. Three tries before

:36:32. > :36:41.half-time. Then, the quick thinking of Matawalu making it a bonus point

:36:41. > :36:45.for Glasgow. He has been in excellent form. Peter Horne is the

:36:45. > :36:50.player who has come on to replace Duncan Weir, who is just about to be

:36:50. > :36:54.stretchered off the field. The unfortunate outside half.

:36:54. > :37:04.quality of the rugby and the mix we talk about evident in those tries,

:37:28. > :37:34.

:37:34. > :37:43.the crowd. Next here on BBC Two weekend. Nokia Mackay getting

:37:43. > :37:53.Cardiff City up to the top flight. A loose pass from Rhys Webb, who has

:37:53. > :38:01.

:38:01. > :38:11.do we come up to the hour mark. The last quarter of the game, as Webb

:38:11. > :38:51.

:38:51. > :38:55.way. Even to get within seven, unaware. That is an unexpected try,

:38:55. > :39:00.but a very welcome one for Sam Lewis and the Ospreys. Ordinarily you

:39:00. > :39:04.would save those areas in the red zone, keep control, just watch how

:39:04. > :39:14.ambitious this off loaders. He is trying to pop it, in fairness. It

:39:14. > :39:30.

:39:30. > :39:34.goes loose. Sam Lewis scoops it up Ospreys, fighting all the way. A ten

:39:34. > :39:44.point game now because Dan Biggar's conversion as you would expect was

:39:44. > :39:44.

:39:44. > :40:31.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 80 seconds

:40:31. > :40:41.touchline. The Ospreys are trying to Ospreys. They can build a gain from

:40:41. > :40:45.

:40:45. > :40:55.just outside Glasgow's 22. Maitland asking, what else was I supposed to

:40:55. > :41:11.

:41:11. > :41:17.at Scotstoun. Well, well, well, talk about deja vu. For attacking

:41:17. > :41:27.lineouts the Ospreys have had, four times they have failed to hit the

:41:27. > :41:40.

:41:40. > :41:49.target. You cannot afford to do just take the points and try to stay

:41:49. > :41:53.well ahead of them. Good chasing by John Barclay. But, really, the

:41:53. > :41:57.Ospreys have just played themselves back into the game, scored a try,

:41:57. > :42:02.trying to up the tempo and another line-out goes West and suddenly they

:42:02. > :42:12.are back defending the try-line. is criminal, really, the

:42:12. > :42:12.

:42:12. > :42:52.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 80 seconds

:42:52. > :43:01.opportunities they have missed. turnover. That is the reward. A big

:43:01. > :43:08.territorial game. They can't win their own lineouts. They have to win

:43:08. > :43:12.Glasgow's. The Ospreys have lost just one of their last 11 league

:43:12. > :43:18.games and that in Connacht, of everywhere. They have to draw there

:43:18. > :43:21.as well otherwise their rise up the table has been well timed as they

:43:21. > :43:31.can do. They are in danger now of losing that position with just 15

:43:31. > :43:40.

:43:40. > :43:48.very interesting. What are we doing here? A ten point game. It has been

:43:48. > :43:51.so bad you have to ask, is it worth going for the corner? Do you get

:43:51. > :43:55.yourself back within losing bonus point territory just for the time

:43:55. > :44:02.being, although 15 minutes is a long time. Still, the decision has been

:44:02. > :44:06.made. Let's get the message to Scott Baldwin. Let's get it sorted in the

:44:06. > :44:12.line-out. It is the sort of area where you don't want front ball, but

:44:12. > :44:19.if that is where you have got to go, that is where you have got to go.

:44:19. > :44:23.Fingertips, just back into the hands of Alun Wyn Jones but it has gone

:44:23. > :44:30.forward and again, the line-out, the attacking line-out in a crucial

:44:30. > :44:40.position that's the Ospreys down. The adjectives are running out,

:44:40. > :44:41.

:44:41. > :44:47.really. It has gone from criminal to embarrassing, really. Five in

:44:47. > :44:51.crucial positions, one just outside the 22 but four of the five were

:44:51. > :45:01.deep in Glasgow's 22 and really, they are shooting themselves in the

:45:01. > :45:11.

:45:11. > :45:21.scrum. The whistle has gone. It is Matawalu again, a real bag of

:45:21. > :45:28.tricks. He did not take it from the right spot. Some last instructions

:45:28. > :45:34.from Kevin Morgan to his namesake, Matthew, just putting on the head

:45:34. > :45:42.guard. Talking of a bag of tricks, let's see what he can offer. Can he

:45:42. > :45:48.do it for the Ospreys in the final dozen minutes? Sean Maitland is

:46:27. > :46:32.Sean Lamont will switch on to the Matthew Morgan has gone at fullback

:46:42. > :46:59.

:46:59. > :47:04.pass was not so great. Sam Lewis anybody in sight! A great break

:47:04. > :47:11.again by Niko Matawalu. Looking for support. Nobody really close enough.

:47:11. > :47:18.Douggie all the first to arrive. -- Dougie Hall. Niko Matawalu has been

:47:18. > :47:22.tremendous. The dutiful running. Ordinarily, a scrum-half running

:47:22. > :47:29.across eight defensive line like that will get munched. But the

:47:29. > :47:32.slightest gap appears. Beautiful running. This is a good angle. It

:47:32. > :47:42.is Alun Wyn Jones. He will not be happy with that. Not a difficult

:47:42. > :47:51.

:47:52. > :48:01.feet, kicking the ball away. His opposite number, Niko Matawalu, has

:48:02. > :48:22.

:48:22. > :48:26.this evening. Peter Horne taking home, the gap opens up again,

:49:21. > :49:26.going. Get the pass out as well. Stuart Hogg, back towards Sean

:49:26. > :49:31.Lamont. The ball is still not dead. Now it is. Scrambled out of frame -

:49:31. > :49:38.- out of play by the Ospreys. Glasgow turning defence immediately

:49:38. > :49:41.into attack with such great effect. It is lovely rugby. They are so

:50:08. > :51:04.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 80 seconds

:51:04. > :51:08.blocking off the ball but some of glimmer of hope still for the

:51:08. > :51:15.Ospreys of getting that losing bonus point but it will be hard

:51:15. > :51:25.work. A converted try is what they are looking for. They have got to

:51:25. > :51:29.

:51:29. > :51:39.them something to fight for in the final seven minutes. But they have

:51:39. > :51:59.

:51:59. > :52:05.It falls nicely for Dan Biggar. He was on his own over there. He had

:53:25. > :53:35.of his hands. Matthew Morgan doing winning bonus point. They will be

:53:35. > :53:48.

:53:48. > :53:58.come for Ulster. They have 76 points. Glasgow have 72 at the

:53:58. > :54:14.

:54:14. > :54:24.breaking up. It is a bit like sevens at times. Duncan Jones lays

:54:24. > :54:34.

:54:34. > :54:38.it back. The penalty goals Jones. Niko Matawalu just wanted to

:54:39. > :54:43.help him up. He thought he was being patronising. And it gives

:54:43. > :54:53.them another 10 yards. And really, it has been a frustrating night all

:54:53. > :54:55.

:54:55. > :55:05.They will be big enough to acknowledge that. It -- it has been

:55:05. > :55:09.

:55:10. > :55:14.a tremendous performance from Bowe has another try. Is he going

:55:14. > :55:19.to do enough to win a place on that tour? It is all about his standing

:55:19. > :55:22.in the game and what he has done in the past. He needs to use these

:55:22. > :55:31.end-of-season games to show that his injury has not had any effect

:55:31. > :55:37.on his ability. And it sounds as if it has not. Our colleagues in

:55:37. > :55:47.Scotland have given John Barclay the man-of-the-match award. Graeme

:55:47. > :55:54.

:55:54. > :56:04.Morrison depart for to a standing commemorative jersey is worn by

:56:04. > :56:16.

:56:16. > :56:21.Glasgow this evening for Graeme Graeme Morrison that he could not

:56:21. > :56:31.get over the try-line. But somebody still might do. Matthew Morgan

:56:31. > :56:36.

:56:36. > :56:46.replacement but it has been turned over. Josh Strauss, quick hands

:56:46. > :56:48.

:56:48. > :56:51.again. An interception by Sam Lewis other end looking for the

:56:51. > :57:01.possibility of a bonus point try. They are spending the final few

:57:01. > :57:05.

:57:05. > :57:10.minutes as they have done most of he has shown the kind of

:57:10. > :57:13.performance they will want to see in west Wales. Absolutely. If he is,

:57:13. > :57:23.they will be getting a good one. He has been mightily impressive

:57:23. > :57:59.

:57:59. > :58:09.people this season. Richard Fussell has some pace. But too many

:58:09. > :58:22.

:58:22. > :58:28.ball bounces into the hand of DTH van der Merwe. And it is Glasgow

:58:28. > :58:33.that have the final word. In resounding victory for Glasgow. And

:58:33. > :58:41.the Ospreys's title hopes are hanging on by the slimmest of

:58:41. > :58:44.threads. We talked about variety and how we see -- have seen the

:58:45. > :58:54.tries coming from different areas for Glasgow and it is the kick

:58:55. > :59:02.

:59:03. > :59:08.again that does the damage on this dangerous one, into space, the

:59:08. > :59:18.bounces kind. But Kahn Fotouali'i does not get it. And that is a very

:59:18. > :59:24.

:59:24. > :59:29.league for DTH van der Merwe. And really, this has been an excellent

:59:29. > :59:39.performance from Glasgow. The Ospreys behind the posts, shell-

:59:39. > :59:55.

:59:55. > :00:01.biggest crowd of the season for does not matter. Because a

:00:01. > :00:06.resounding victory, five tries to Glasgow. And even though the

:00:06. > :00:10.Ospreys fought back at one stage, they were very, very well beaten

:00:10. > :00:14.and now they will be looking over their shoulders and the Scarlets

:00:14. > :00:19.will be taking some comfort from this result as well because their

:00:19. > :00:25.hopes of making the play-offs are now very much alive and the Ospreys

:00:25. > :00:28.know they have got to go to the best go to Dublin -- they have got

:00:28. > :00:34.to go to Dublin and at least get away with a win and even then it

:00:34. > :00:39.may not be enough. Tonight, or only one team in it. Absolutely. I

:00:39. > :00:43.genuinely thought that the Ospreys could come here and do a job. But

:00:43. > :00:50.they have been comprehensively outplayed by a side playing a very

:00:50. > :00:53.attractive and very effective mix of rugby. And on that form, Glasgow

:00:53. > :01:01.undoubtedly semi-finalists, but capable of challenging for the big

:01:01. > :01:06.one. The Ospreys, to Leinster may be safe in the European final by

:01:06. > :01:12.then, we do not know what seemed they will pick. But it is a massive

:01:12. > :01:15.challenge and now, what for the Ospreys and what for the Scarlets

:01:15. > :01:19.tomorrow night against the Cardiff Blues? They have everything to play

:01:20. > :01:24.for but the champions, well, their chances of making the play-offs and

:01:24. > :01:29.now looking slimmer by the second. Two tries in the second half gave

:01:29. > :01:39.them a slight comeback but completely outplayed, outscored and

:01:39. > :02:06.

:02:06. > :02:12.Blues at Parc y Scarlets tomorrow. The title race is looking ever more

:02:12. > :02:21.intriguing as we approach the final round of the regular season. The

:02:21. > :02:27.Ospreys have probably kissed goodbye to their hopes. The Ospreys

:02:27. > :02:34.conceded five tries tonight. It was their worst defensive performance

:02:34. > :02:38.of the season. The Ospreys pride themselves on their defence. But

:02:38. > :02:41.they did have their chances. They got into positions and failed that

:02:41. > :02:45.their set-piece towards the end. Defensive frailties but you have to

:02:45. > :02:48.give credit to Glasgow. I thought tonight that Stuart Davies said

:02:48. > :02:53.that when Glasgow had the ball, they increased the tempo of the

:02:53. > :03:00.game and I felt that they won the contact area. They went through the

:03:00. > :03:04.tackle. That allowed them to offload the support player. To

:03:04. > :03:10.score five tries, whether it has an off-day or not for the Ospreys, is

:03:10. > :03:16.a good achievement. And thoroughly deserved their win and they will be

:03:16. > :03:21.hoping for a home draw in the semi- final but I just feel that Leinster

:03:21. > :03:26.might have enough just to jump them. They will have to do with the hard

:03:26. > :03:34.way. Are they good enough to win it? We have talked about Glasgow.

:03:34. > :03:40.They are ramp and fashionable team. But they have proved they deserve

:03:40. > :03:43.to be there. They could go all the way. They have the physicality and

:03:43. > :03:48.the confidence. Gregor Townsend has really instilled an attacking flair

:03:48. > :03:53.in them this season. In knockout rugby, home advantage is huge and

:03:53. > :04:03.it will all depend. You have to fancy Leinster to get a bonus point

:04:03. > :04:03.

:04:03. > :04:07.on Sunday. And what we have said in previous seasons about the Scottish

:04:07. > :04:12.regions, and the Scottish national side is the lack of creativity and

:04:12. > :04:16.scoring tries. Glasgow have disproved that and also Scotland

:04:16. > :04:21.have as well. Scotland scored a lot of tries this year. That has given

:04:21. > :04:26.them confidence. The defence has been good and so has their set-

:04:26. > :04:30.piece. With Ulster and Leinster, if they have home draws, then you

:04:30. > :04:35.would fancy them to get to the final but Glasgow thoroughly

:04:35. > :04:39.deserved to be there. And of course, they have a great opportunity,

:04:39. > :04:43.especially with someone like Niko Matawalu pulling the strings for

:04:43. > :04:51.them. A we have seen more creativity from the Scottish side's.

:04:51. > :04:55.How much credit should Gregor Townsend take on that? A lot of

:04:55. > :04:58.credit. They have quality overseas signings. When you make an overseas

:04:58. > :05:04.signing, if they are quality and they add value, it makes a

:05:04. > :05:11.difference to the squad. Every time Niko Matawalu has had the ball in

:05:11. > :05:15.recent weeks, the entire team comes alive. If you are just some of the

:05:15. > :05:23.local players around like Alastair Kellock, John Barclay, Ryan Grant

:05:23. > :05:32.was outstanding tonight, it is a pretty good recipe. I think Niko

:05:32. > :05:37.Matawalu you runs the game from the scrum-half position. I hope Duncan

:05:37. > :05:46.Weir is OK. It did not look a nice injury. It looked like he has

:05:46. > :05:52.broken his ankle or something. Niko Matawalu runs the show for them at

:05:52. > :05:55.number 9. Farepak worked hard, their set-piece was good. The

:05:55. > :06:04.really took the Ospreys on and you felt that the Ospreys are slightly

:06:04. > :06:07.deflated. They came out in the second half a lot faster. Plenty of

:06:07. > :06:17.other action as well. Let's catch up with some of the tries from the

:06:17. > :06:34.

:06:34. > :06:41.stay top of the table with a week of the regular-season to go. Let's

:06:41. > :06:51.go to Rodney Parade as well. In a great victory for the Dragons

:06:51. > :06:55.

:06:55. > :07:01.against Munster. But we can go back to Glasgow now. Steve Tandy, a

:07:01. > :07:05.difficult night for the Ospreys. it is proceed -- pretty

:07:05. > :07:10.disappointing to concede so many tries. We fought hard and tried to

:07:10. > :07:13.get back in the game but it is very disappointing that we did not get

:07:13. > :07:18.anything from this game. Were you surprised how could Glasgow were

:07:18. > :07:21.tonight? A we know that they are on a good side. I think we made them a

:07:21. > :07:25.little does look a little bit better than they are. We have to

:07:25. > :07:32.take this on the chin and prepare and give it one last shot against

:07:32. > :07:36.Leinster. We will have to be Cardiff Blues supporters now. It is

:07:36. > :07:42.a long shot. But we will have to hope and if we can take it into the

:07:42. > :07:46.last game, it will be fantastic. Steve Tandy relatively

:07:47. > :07:53.philosophical. It all comes down to tomorrow, at the Scarlets against

:07:53. > :07:56.the Blues. They are in the box seat now. Yes, but that is the beauty of

:07:56. > :08:00.this. The Cardiff Blues will not want to go down there in the Derby,

:08:00. > :08:06.they have lost -- not lost for a couple of years on they have a

:08:07. > :08:12.point to prove. It will not be easy for the Scarlets but it is an

:08:12. > :08:16.advantage knowing what they have to do. Anchovies or not be easy in the

:08:16. > :08:21.final game but you have to feel they have it in their control --

:08:21. > :08:30.and Treviso. Yes, on paper the Scarlets looked favourite and maybe

:08:30. > :08:33.should win but local derbies and Jamie Roberts leaving and I think

:08:33. > :08:38.they have Bradley Davies back tomorrow. They can go down there

:08:38. > :08:44.and really have a crack at the Scarlets. I fancy the Scarlets but

:08:44. > :08:48.it is a local derby. And not only that, Treviso, they have got a big

:08:48. > :08:53.pack of forwards and the Scarlets are youngsters. They will have a
