:00:19. > :00:32.It has been a tough season for the men in black. They found themselves

:00:33. > :00:42.in some unfamiliar places. But like all champion sides, they fought

:00:43. > :00:46.back. What a run! That is brilliant. Last week they pulled off an

:00:47. > :00:55.audacious smash and grab on the road. Sam Davies, out to Watkins,

:00:56. > :00:58.and he has got it down. A win tonight could return them to the top

:00:59. > :01:03.half with a European ambitions reignited. And they have been

:01:04. > :01:09.boosted further by the return of a number of Wales international is,

:01:10. > :01:13.including Dan Lydiate, making his first start in an Ospreys shirt

:01:14. > :01:19.since New Year's Day, joined by James King, J J Engelbrecht as well,

:01:20. > :01:22.making his first start at the Liberty Stadium tonight. Victory

:01:23. > :01:27.tonight could send them into the top six for the first time this season.

:01:28. > :01:32.It has been quite the recovery after losing five of the first six. They

:01:33. > :01:37.have suffered just one defeat in the last date. It could send them into

:01:38. > :01:42.the top six but that will depend on the outcome of Glasgow versus

:01:43. > :01:46.Munster also been played tonight. Good evening and welcome to Scrum V

:01:47. > :01:53.Live from the Liberty Stadium. Jonathan Thomas is with me. Back on

:01:54. > :01:57.his old stomping ground. A semi-objective observer, it is fair

:01:58. > :02:00.to say. What does it tell us about the Ospreys mentality that I have

:02:01. > :02:06.recovered from the start of the season and are back in contention

:02:07. > :02:10.for Europe? For me, it is about the strength of character of the young

:02:11. > :02:14.players stepping up to the plate. The big argument for the Ospreys

:02:15. > :02:18.over the last two years is, they haven't won enough matches when the

:02:19. > :02:21.International 's been away, which happened during the World Cup. In

:02:22. > :02:26.the last couple of months we have seen the emergence of some of the

:02:27. > :02:30.young players coming to the fore, Davies, Underhill, getting the win

:02:31. > :02:34.and Munster is a massive thing, no Dan Biggar, no brick, to brick, to

:02:35. > :02:37.go to Munster with that squad is massive and they will be bouncing

:02:38. > :02:44.after that. They are in good stead of the season. They have Dan

:02:45. > :02:48.Lydiate. So much talk of the balance of the Welsh back row, what can we

:02:49. > :02:52.read into the fact that he has been released to play in this one? It is

:02:53. > :02:56.normally not good during the Six Nations if you are released, but I

:02:57. > :03:02.think it is slightly different in Lydiate's case, he is an experience,

:03:03. > :03:06.quality player. Gatland has said publicly in the past that he gets

:03:07. > :03:08.better the more he plays, so has he released him to get 80 minutes under

:03:09. > :03:26.his belt to get in contention for the

:03:27. > :03:29.French game, time will tell, who knows, but I will be interested to

:03:30. > :03:31.see how he goes tonight. He will be closely monitored. Sean Holley is in

:03:32. > :03:34.our analysis truck. We heard Jonathan talk about young players

:03:35. > :03:36.stepping up to the plate. Who has impressed you most? Last week's win

:03:37. > :03:39.was fantastic but they need to back it up. They have a lot of young

:03:40. > :03:42.players and tonight there is a lot of pressure on one guide, young Sam

:03:43. > :03:48.Davies that ten. While Dan Biggar is a way he needs to step up. I like

:03:49. > :03:53.the way some takes it on the line. He encourages the Osprey runners

:03:54. > :03:58.either side, gets an inside ball, Dan Evans also crucial but he is

:03:59. > :04:01.pulling the strings for the Ospreys, instrumental in the second half, we

:04:02. > :04:05.know about his kicking game it in the second half on Sunday he needed

:04:06. > :04:10.to drive them forward and he did, putting Watkin in the corner, a

:04:11. > :04:13.young player to look out for. When he challenges the line he opens up

:04:14. > :04:20.opportunities. A lot is resting on this young man's shoulders tonight.

:04:21. > :04:32.There certainly is, he has been an exemplary form over the last few

:04:33. > :04:34.weeks. The Ospreys start as favourites, fair to say, with

:04:35. > :04:37.Edinburgh winless on the roads in September, but they will be wary,

:04:38. > :04:39.the last two games between these sides have gone the way of

:04:40. > :04:42.Edinburgh. The teams are ready to come out, can be Ospreys win tonight

:04:43. > :04:44.and then to the top six for the first time? Let's find out without

:04:45. > :04:49.commentary team, Martyn Williams Gareth Charles.

:04:50. > :04:57.For a second weekend running, Edinburgh, after travelling to

:04:58. > :05:03.Scarlets last week, it is back down to south Wales for the Liberty

:05:04. > :05:09.Stadium this time around. At least the rain that was falling earlier

:05:10. > :05:15.has now gone away, and let's hope that contributes to some running

:05:16. > :05:19.rugby this evening. Neil Cochrane, the hooker and captain this evening,

:05:20. > :05:25.four changes from last week at Scarlets. Dell starts on this had,

:05:26. > :05:33.Jamie Ritchie instead of captain Mike Coleman in the back row. He has

:05:34. > :05:36.a calf strain. Kennedy takes over at scrum-half to partner Burley. Five

:05:37. > :05:42.the other change at right wing, Brown on the left quite a handful

:05:43. > :05:49.for the Scarlets last week. Scarlets managed to hang on to victory with a

:05:50. > :05:54.last-gasp kick, as it turns out, and the Ospreys will be looking to build

:05:55. > :05:58.on the success they have adult late at the Liberty Stadium as Brendan

:05:59. > :06:05.Leonard leads the home side onto the field. Fia makes his first Ospreys

:06:06. > :06:09.start on tight head, King released by Wales, Partner Thornton on the

:06:10. > :06:14.second row, all eyes on Lydiate in the back row. Owen Watkin, the

:06:15. > :06:21.Springbok centre, Engelbrecht, could perhaps give a midfield cutting edge

:06:22. > :06:26.that has sometimes been lacking. Hidalgo-Clyne has also been released

:06:27. > :06:32.by Scotland to bolster them, and Gilchrist makes his first appearance

:06:33. > :06:36.of the season. Matavesi and Walker are there if needed for the Ospreys.

:06:37. > :06:44.Marius Mitrea of Italy the man in charge this evening. Fifth against

:06:45. > :06:49.seventh in the battle for the all-important top six slots as far

:06:50. > :06:53.as Europe goes, and maybe keeping one eye on top four places and the

:06:54. > :07:07.play-off come the end of the season in the Pro12. Use it.

:07:08. > :07:15.Sean Kennedy knows that the long pass back couldn't allow a kick

:07:16. > :07:21.straight into touch though he does the kicking. Evans replies. That

:07:22. > :07:29.will roll and roll and roll all the way dead. So they will go back to

:07:30. > :07:33.Ospreys territory for a first scrum of the evening. Good evening to

:07:34. > :07:37.Martyn Williams alongside me, looking forward to this one? Good

:07:38. > :07:44.evening, yes, welcome break from the Six Nations. Dan Evans usually so

:07:45. > :07:49.assured with that left foot, over judged that. The kicking game

:07:50. > :07:53.tonight will be crucial. The rain has stopped thankfully, but it is

:07:54. > :08:08.windy out there. Not a great start from the Ospreys.

:08:09. > :08:16.The Ospreys with a distinct weight advantage.

:08:17. > :08:30.But wait a for nothing if you get the technique wrong. The standard

:08:31. > :08:36.reset for the first one as you see them go down, never have the first

:08:37. > :08:40.scrum clean ball. Very assertive, Marius Mitrea, straight on penalty,

:08:41. > :08:44.straight up, normally the referees give the front row forwards a couple

:08:45. > :08:47.of scrums to get used to it, but hopefully that is a sign of things

:08:48. > :08:55.to come because at least the decision is made. Phil Burley has

:08:56. > :09:08.put them inside the 22. Not by a great deal. Let's see what they go

:09:09. > :09:12.for here. Jamie Ritchie there at scrum-half. You would certainly

:09:13. > :09:16.expect to drive and what would be the Osprey tactic to counter it,

:09:17. > :09:20.stand-off, let them have the ball, bring them down at source, doesn't

:09:21. > :09:26.look like they will challenge anyway. Both teams have very good

:09:27. > :09:38.line-outs. Toolis is the main go to man for Edinburgh. No challenge for

:09:39. > :09:43.the Ospreys. Watson in control. Slightly isolated as he goes to

:09:44. > :09:50.ground. Kennedy, the scrum-half will step in. Burley. Looking for the

:09:51. > :09:55.off-load but not forcing it. Sensibly allowing the forwards to do

:09:56. > :09:59.their work. Toolis after winning the line-out appears in mid field for a

:10:00. > :10:19.bit of continuity for Edinburgh. Dupre, try scorer last week, an

:10:20. > :10:24.excellent all-round game. Burleigh did well to control it, Sam Beard,

:10:25. > :10:29.and other New Zealander in the side. Tonks over the top, or one more

:10:30. > :10:35.would have released Tom Brown, but Fife can get his arms clearing time.

:10:36. > :10:40.Ospreys for a moment thought they might sniff a turnover, and indeed

:10:41. > :10:50.they have. Dan Evans getting the clearance kick in as far as halfway

:10:51. > :10:58.and as far as Burleigh. It has broken nicely for Kennedy. Beard.

:10:59. > :11:13.Ritchie had been the right-hand side touchline. Good pressure by Ben

:11:14. > :11:21.John. Eventually there will be a line-out or a scrum. Depends which

:11:22. > :11:24.one they fancy. Nigel Owens, I think, is refereeing Swansea against

:11:25. > :11:34.Merthyr tomorrow, so just getting a warm up tonight. Can't get a gig

:11:35. > :11:37.since the World Cup, can he?! They blitzed in the Ospreys, got the ball

:11:38. > :11:42.over the top. In fairness to Edinburgh, great hands from

:11:43. > :11:47.Burleigh, he made the initial serve to get Edinburgh over the gain line.

:11:48. > :11:51.Good defence as well from the Ospreys, good scramble defence, good

:11:52. > :12:00.spoiling on the floor. Very interesting start. Certainly

:12:01. > :12:19.Edinburgh getting plenty of early ball.

:12:20. > :12:27.There we are, plenty of early ball! These two teams especially when it

:12:28. > :12:32.comes to scrums, you would never associated with the Ospreys, the

:12:33. > :12:35.worst success rate with their own ball apart from Treviso so it has

:12:36. > :12:43.been scrappy for the Ospreys and Edinburgh this year in that area.

:12:44. > :13:07.As the wheel comes on me get rid of it. -- they get rid of it.

:13:08. > :13:15.Maybe a little bit betwixt and between, that kick. Not sure whether

:13:16. > :13:19.to go for the cross kick or the position, ended up doing neither

:13:20. > :13:25.effectively. But he has done very well initially, Burleigh, apologies

:13:26. > :13:29.from Kennedy that he couldn't hang on. Burleigh did really well there,

:13:30. > :13:34.got outside Underhill, trying to get the off-load in again, but twice

:13:35. > :13:39.now, whether it is a tactic of the Ospreys not to go for touch... Just

:13:40. > :13:45.needed to be more sympathetic with that off-load. Dan Evans twice has

:13:46. > :13:51.kicked long and kept it in and the chase is on right, guys like

:13:52. > :13:52.Burleigh will pick apart. Ever present for the Ospreys in the

:13:53. > :14:04.league this year, Dan Evans. Really has established himself in

:14:05. > :14:08.that Ospreys full-back shirt. A couple of years with the Dragons,

:14:09. > :14:09.six years with the Scarlets, and now in his second at the Liberty

:14:10. > :14:22.Stadium. Two caps back in 2009 on the tour of

:14:23. > :14:27.North America, and a lot of people think Dan Evans is unlucky not to

:14:28. > :14:32.have added to those. He is a quality full-back, doesn't get international

:14:33. > :14:37.recognition but guys like Dan Evans, during Six Nations time, are so

:14:38. > :14:47.important to the regions. Nip and tuck in Treviso, Treviso went 7-0

:14:48. > :14:53.ahead, Dragons went to 7-7, Treviso now 14 ahead. Treviso looking for

:14:54. > :14:56.just their second win of the season. I am sure any Blues fans listening

:14:57. > :14:58.will not read reminding what the first was last week. -- need

:14:59. > :15:08.reminding. That is pressure on that scrum,

:15:09. > :15:16.extremely well done by Dan Biggar even though the pass was asking too

:15:17. > :15:21.much of Jeff Hasler. Mike Allen, former Ulsterman, and Hill looks to

:15:22. > :15:26.get it away, bubbling away from Lydiate. In the end they have to

:15:27. > :15:36.come back for a scrum. There are real problems with this Ospreys

:15:37. > :15:40.scrum. That causes allsorts of problems for the Ospreys. Greg

:15:41. > :15:44.Thompson flying up on the outside, good strip from Engelbrecht, but

:15:45. > :15:52.really scrappy first eight minutes from the Ospreys.

:15:53. > :16:00.Ball attention, ball presentation, hasn't been great, and the scrum is

:16:01. > :16:03.under pressure. Difficult to build a game given those conditions. They

:16:04. > :16:10.cant at their hands on the ball, kicked poorly. Interesting scrum, it

:16:11. > :16:18.you can normally tell who has been those -- ascendancy on their own

:16:19. > :16:21.ball, who has control. Make sure you don't go on the outside and

:16:22. > :16:26.deliberately look for the head-to-head. You have the space,

:16:27. > :16:30.make sure you do. Let's go. Time out.

:16:31. > :16:38.I didn't have a clue what he was going on about! Obviously Edinburgh

:16:39. > :16:48.missing their first Troyes front row because they are away with Scotland.

:16:49. > :16:56.Sutherland has gone back to the Six Nations. Dell starting there.

:16:57. > :17:12.Not study. -- steady. Scrum. No more talking. It shows who is confident

:17:13. > :17:15.in the scrummaging! A very messy scrum so it is obviously in the

:17:16. > :17:31.referee's head that Edinburgh have the upper hand.

:17:32. > :17:57.Years it. Advantage... Fife waiting to come in from the base of the

:17:58. > :18:07.scrum. The scrum was such a mess it never materialised. Illegal

:18:08. > :18:12.wheeling. He has had the call from Nigel Owens that the Ospreys back

:18:13. > :18:16.five worth pulling the scrum around illegally. Cause for concern in the

:18:17. > :18:23.first ten minutes particularly at scrum time for the Ospreys. They

:18:24. > :18:28.will just be glad if Tonks put this over to start again, get back to the

:18:29. > :18:35.halfway line. It has been a very bad first ten minutes. Here we go, you

:18:36. > :18:53.see, the second row... It is a tough call for me, that.

:18:54. > :19:00.Well, it's hardly surprising, and Edinburgh take a 3-point lead.

:19:01. > :19:04.Because they have had all the gain in the opening dozen minutes. -- all

:19:05. > :19:17.of the game. Like you said, it's just a restart

:19:18. > :19:21.now, nothing went right in that first ten minutes, try to get you a

:19:22. > :19:26.hands on the ball. That is exactly what the Ospreys wanted, that is the

:19:27. > :19:31.first time, pretty much, there we are, 91% of the game in the Ospreys

:19:32. > :19:37.half. Brilliant kick off and take as well. Lydiate there to continue, the

:19:38. > :19:50.first chance they have had to build, lovely delayed pass from Davies.

:19:51. > :19:59.Lydiate looking to win his Welsh shirt back.

:20:00. > :20:12.Bodies lying on, not releasing. Never release. Never released.

:20:13. > :20:19.Chance for the Ospreys to strike back immediately. It is much better,

:20:20. > :20:24.fantastic kick-off from some Davies, inch perfect, not the high hanging

:20:25. > :20:32.kit, just flat, Hassler brave as ever, great take. He could also have

:20:33. > :20:36.penalised them for getting his hands pass the ball. Definite penalty,

:20:37. > :20:45.exactly what the Ospreys need, a kick. Hassler there, Toolis coming

:20:46. > :21:00.forward. They needed something, they needed a spark, the Ospreys.

:21:01. > :21:10.The Ospreys are yet to be in the visitors's 22 but it doesn't matter

:21:11. > :21:28.because they have points and they have parity.

:21:29. > :21:40.Tonks with a long restart. Hassler has had the last two, one for the

:21:41. > :21:45.Ospreys, one from the opposition. Watkin looking to lead the team out

:21:46. > :21:50.of trouble, but they could be back under pressure immediately as an

:21:51. > :21:52.dress, the tight head... Watkin tries to drive him back into the

:21:53. > :22:05.tackle. It is an interesting one because

:22:06. > :22:10.Hassler had the ball near the touchline, look for the release

:22:11. > :22:14.inside and Watkin decided to run rather than kick. The result is

:22:15. > :22:19.immediately back under pressure. He was not confident of having a time.

:22:20. > :22:25.With Hassler you would expect to catch that kick, carrier, set up the

:22:26. > :22:33.ruck a bit of hasn't -- hesitancy has allowed Edinburgh back, if they

:22:34. > :22:38.had gone wide the opportunity was there but similar penalty for what

:22:39. > :22:42.Allendale was penalised for last time -- similar penalty to what Dell

:22:43. > :22:58.was penalised for last time. Oh! Missed it! Can't believe it's.

:22:59. > :23:03.Big let for the Ospreys. How disappointing, I was going to say,

:23:04. > :23:08.get they got themselves back into the game. A simple error. Pushed off

:23:09. > :23:13.the outside of the post, didn't he. Tonks wasted no time at all. Perhaps

:23:14. > :23:19.he should have taken a bit longer over it.

:23:20. > :23:36.Time for Dan Evans, plenty of time for Dan Evans. Poor kick from Tonks,

:23:37. > :23:41.almost landed outside the 22 but gives Evans enough time to make the

:23:42. > :23:46.mark and clear his tick, -- kick, but again, looking to keep it in

:23:47. > :23:57.field. This time Tonks let's Burleigh do the kicking.

:23:58. > :24:18.James King. I have sympathy for Dan Baker. Penalties came the Ospreys at

:24:19. > :24:27.the moment. Dan Baker has gone into clean-out Dell. He has been clever

:24:28. > :24:32.to pull away from contesting Iraq. Watch this, Baker following him

:24:33. > :24:37.behind, and he has gone off his feet -- contesting the ruck. I thought

:24:38. > :24:45.Dell had pulled away, actually, but... Yes, have to support your own

:24:46. > :24:53.body weight. Whether Dan Baker thought Dell was going to go over

:24:54. > :24:56.it... That time Dell made it clear. Is is obviously something the

:24:57. > :25:04.referee is harsh on because he penalised just before. -- penalised

:25:05. > :25:09.Smith just before. Again, Tonks doesn't waste too much time, but

:25:10. > :25:17.this time the result of the one he wants, and Edinburgh ahead 6-3. If

:25:18. > :25:23.that is your style then stick to it. Deservedly so. Apart from that one

:25:24. > :25:28.attacking segment in the Edinburgh half from the Ospreys it has been

:25:29. > :25:39.all Edinburgh, the first 17 minutes, penalties killing the Ospreys, four

:25:40. > :25:47.penalties. Too long. Mistakes compounding. We praise handovers

:25:48. > :25:52.were a brilliant last time, this time he over judged it on the

:25:53. > :25:58.opposite side of the field -- we praised Sam Davies for a brilliant

:25:59. > :25:59.kick. 'S six foot three, six foot four, and even he wouldn't get on

:26:00. > :26:14.the end of that one. I think the referee is talking to

:26:15. > :26:19.parry, telling the back five not to wield the scrum around as they were

:26:20. > :26:23.penalised for in the last scrum, the Ospreys. Interesting, Edinburgh's

:26:24. > :26:28.tactics, whether they keep it in and go for the second child. Great

:26:29. > :26:37.attacking position. Having said the rain had gone away, it is back

:26:38. > :26:41.again. Real, heavy, misty drizzle. Edinburgh keep ball in hand, but it

:26:42. > :26:50.will be very difficult to get it passed in this weather. Somehow they

:26:51. > :26:56.haven't knocked it on, but they have had the ball stolen from them. The

:26:57. > :27:11.ball wasn't kicked out of hand, just blocked, so it is perfectly legal.

:27:12. > :27:16.He just blocked the pass. Treviso extending their lead in that game in

:27:17. > :27:32.the second half, 19-10. Watkin. Engelbrecht was ready. Parry

:27:33. > :27:50.appeared before him. Davies finds Underhill on his

:27:51. > :28:03.shoulder but he finds Cochrane waiting for him. Lease that --

:28:04. > :28:09.released that. Davies looks inside, Hassler from a standing start, and

:28:10. > :28:19.he is a tough one! Allen needed two bites to bring him down.

:28:20. > :28:28.Davies... Mix-up, and was that forward from Baker? Yes, it was.

:28:29. > :28:34.Parry stayed down. If you need somebody to try and give you a bit

:28:35. > :28:40.of go forward, lift the team generally, nine times out of ten --

:28:41. > :28:44.out of ten it will be Hassler. He runs his weight, great as a forward

:28:45. > :28:49.who comes off the wing and does the hard yards for you. A lot of huffing

:28:50. > :28:53.and puffing from the Ospreys but it didn't go anywhere, good carries but

:28:54. > :28:57.well-organised Edinburgh defence, and the Ospreys well marshalled

:28:58. > :29:00.until they forced the mistake between Davies and Engelbrecht, so

:29:01. > :29:07.nice for the Ospreys to get some ball in hand and go through some

:29:08. > :29:20.phases. On his fourth league game of the season, Hassler.

:29:21. > :29:50.Evans straight at the Edinburgh defence. Release now, Fife.

:29:51. > :30:06.Ritchie looking for the steel but didn't get it. Watkin into Du Preez.

:30:07. > :30:14.Onto far. An interesting one, as to exactly whether it was. I think it

:30:15. > :30:18.was Dell. I could have picked that ball legally -- he could have, but

:30:19. > :30:28.he flopped over. Well in his rights together that and pick it up because

:30:29. > :30:35.the ball was there. A big collision between Du Preez and Watkin. If he

:30:36. > :30:39.goes for that ball there, this is turnover for Edinburgh. Probably

:30:40. > :30:59.tired, 22 minutes in, he has decided to flop over.

:31:00. > :31:10.Let's see what the Ospreys Drive, led by Dan Baker, is like. They will

:31:11. > :31:18.have to use it this time. Now they come to a halt. Leonard looking to

:31:19. > :31:32.exploit the blindside. Du Preez for Edinburgh, a is making

:31:33. > :31:41.some hardy arts and some big hits. King is in the second row this

:31:42. > :31:49.evening, the first time this season. Well, they knew the call would come.

:31:50. > :32:31.An advantage being played. The ruck before that that O it is

:32:32. > :32:36.picked up Edinburgh is being offside. The Ospreys going through

:32:37. > :32:40.the phases but they aren't creating anything. Conditions playing their

:32:41. > :32:54.part. Second success for Sam Davies. With

:32:55. > :32:57.a quarter of an hour of the first half remaining, it is all square

:32:58. > :33:03.6-6. They are out of sync, the Ospreys.

:33:04. > :33:11.They have guys running in front of them, the ball-carrier losing shape.

:33:12. > :33:28.I think they would be very happy with what has been a dreadful start.

:33:29. > :33:35.Dan Lydiate lost the ball to Sam Beard. And now it is all defence for

:33:36. > :33:40.the Ospreys again. They thought they were going to clear the lines and

:33:41. > :33:47.they could be found wanting as Edinburgh flowed forward. Burley

:33:48. > :33:53.took it upon himself, running into Engelbrecht and James King. The

:33:54. > :34:01.highball just took the steam out of it for a second. Strays through,

:34:02. > :34:07.Nicky Smith dragged him back. They off-load gives the try to Allan

:34:08. > :34:12.Dell. Ospreys couldn't get the ball out of defence and they paid the

:34:13. > :34:17.price. It isn't often you see Dan Lydiate

:34:18. > :34:21.see the ball ripped out of his arms. And the mistake by the Ospreys. It

:34:22. > :34:25.looked as if Sam Beard was going to go all by himself but they have gone

:34:26. > :34:32.through the phases. Tonks asserted dangerous runner. Here he is, Sam

:34:33. > :34:38.Beard. I thought he was under the sticks himself. This is where Tonks

:34:39. > :34:40.is very dangerous. He has played Number 10. A great inside line by

:34:41. > :34:52.Allan Dell. A conversion easy for the try

:34:53. > :35:00.creator, Tonks. Greig Tonks at as a loosehead prop.

:35:01. > :35:06.Does his best to pulling downwards. A great off-load. Nothing more than

:35:07. > :35:09.they deserve, Edinburgh. They have been the best team for the first 30

:35:10. > :35:14.minutes. It is only the second start of the

:35:15. > :35:21.season, third ever in the league, for Allan Dell and he gets his first

:35:22. > :35:25.try. A night to remember for the South African loosehead.

:35:26. > :35:37.Every time the Ospreys have come back they have looked differently.

:35:38. > :35:41.They have come away with points every time they have gone into the

:35:42. > :36:00.Ospreys 22. That's was very good work by Sean

:36:01. > :36:08.Kennedy to hang on in there because he did enough. A very unorthodox

:36:09. > :36:16.tackle. He has almost holiday and dragged him down. Great initial

:36:17. > :36:20.carried by Nicky Smith. Sam Davies has picked up the blindside. Just

:36:21. > :36:27.got hold of his collar on the inside. Much better from the

:36:28. > :36:39.Ospreys, creating overlaps, seeing the gaps. Is that the penalty? You

:36:40. > :36:47.are back Hasler to defend. That was more locked than judgment by Sean

:36:48. > :36:53.Kennedy just to get his hand in on that collar and managed to grab

:36:54. > :36:59.them. Good hands from Sam Davies and Dan Evans. Perfect timing. Drawing

:37:00. > :37:02.the man. Creating that little bit of space for Jeff Hassler but a fine

:37:03. > :37:14.bit of cover from Kennedy. Tonks is eyeing up for stuff you can

:37:15. > :37:22.see him looking at who is in midfield. It is Smith and Baker. It

:37:23. > :37:29.is far too big a gap fully loose to cover. As you say, he has played a

:37:30. > :37:37.lot of time, Greig Tonks. You could see him lift up his eyes. Two

:37:38. > :37:46.forwards, a big gap, have a go. Just read the situation. Then you've got

:37:47. > :37:47.the support you deserve. These grams have been very messy

:37:48. > :38:32.tonight. -- the scrums. A good scrum from Edinburgh. Du

:38:33. > :38:42.Preez wants to win the penalty and that is what he has done. Sean

:38:43. > :38:45.Kennedy was away and running. They got that initial movement going

:38:46. > :38:52.forward. The Ospreys could not recover.

:38:53. > :39:01.These grim having the upper hand and it is a counter for lots of

:39:02. > :39:06.Edinburgh's 13-6 lead. Let's see how the Osprey management read it in the

:39:07. > :39:10.first half and hour. Phil Rees is down there. It is pretty

:39:11. > :39:18.attritional. We do like something a bit more fluid? We would prefer

:39:19. > :39:23.something more fluid but this is the classic textbook are not to play

:39:24. > :39:25.Edinburgh. Giving away scrums. They have dominance there. It is

:39:26. > :39:36.frustrating. There are chinks of space there. How much of a worry is

:39:37. > :39:40.the scrum? We have messages going to the individual players. If we don't

:39:41. > :39:46.get the set piece right, just leave it.

:39:47. > :39:51.That is a very effective drive from Edinburgh as well. All the tight

:39:52. > :39:56.aspects at the moment are in favour of the visitors. That is something

:39:57. > :40:02.the Ospreys are going to have to address pretty quickly if they want

:40:03. > :40:06.to stem the flow of possession and territory and penalties Edinburgh

:40:07. > :40:13.are giving. The cloud voicing their displeasure. It is as a result the

:40:14. > :40:20.pressure the Ospreys and under. The crowd not happy with that. Edinburgh

:40:21. > :40:32.are squeezing the life out of the Ospreys pack. Hamish Watson breaks.

:40:33. > :40:37.Sam Parry can't help themselves. He goes levers to their ears, down on

:40:38. > :40:42.his knee. It is a penalty all day long. A soft penalty as well. The

:40:43. > :40:48.defence is organised. Yes, you are under pressure, but those are the

:40:49. > :41:01.sort of penalties you don't give 40 metres out.

:41:02. > :41:10.But at the moment Greig Tonks is only except being 50% of those

:41:11. > :41:13.chances. That is what is keeping the Ospreys within touching distance of

:41:14. > :41:16.a score. This could come back to hold

:41:17. > :41:21.Edinburgh. They had two relatively easy kicks. That is a big let off

:41:22. > :41:41.for the Ospreys. Greig Tonks has to forget the

:41:42. > :41:48.failures at the posts and concentrate on his game.

:41:49. > :42:35.That was a lovely deaf blind pass by Sam Davies. A little bit too much

:42:36. > :42:44.traffic and therefore Jeff Hassler. Offside again. Off his feet. A long

:42:45. > :42:53.advantage played by Marius Mitrea. Keep the play going. So difficult

:42:54. > :43:04.when you have set up a few in the wide channel. Office feet.

:43:05. > :43:13.The ball is getting very greasy. The Rangers back. Here he goes. Picks

:43:14. > :43:19.out the biggest man he can on the field! He doesn't get his shoulder,

:43:20. > :44:01.he runs straight in. Ben John deathbed to Sam Underhill.

:44:02. > :44:06.From absolutely nothing a try is candid for Sam Underhill and he is

:44:07. > :44:11.delighted. A brilliant try. And think a lot of people asking Sam

:44:12. > :44:18.Davies, what are you doing very giving that little chip? Brilliant

:44:19. > :44:25.play from Ben John. I just thought he had missed caked this one, Sam

:44:26. > :44:34.Davies. But it is perfectly judged. A great take and off-load.

:44:35. > :44:38.Absolutely... If Dougie Fife takes that it is a terrible decision but

:44:39. > :44:44.Ben John did brilliantly there to take that ball.

:44:45. > :44:58.Great skills by Ben John. It is, I knew watching Eddie Jones, by Sam

:44:59. > :45:02.Underhill. Those missed penalties by Edinburgh will come back to haunt

:45:03. > :45:09.them. Totally dominant in the first half and could find themselves

:45:10. > :45:15.level. A great strike just to rub salt into

:45:16. > :45:22.the wound. Edinburgh think they have done more than enough to be clear at

:45:23. > :45:33.this stage but it is all square. That time, Sam Davies has gone. Ben

:45:34. > :45:40.John has gone all the momentum. A good finish by Sam Underhill.

:45:41. > :45:45.Can they do the basics? Can be clear the lines and go for a restart

:45:46. > :45:53.rather than putting themselves under pressure? The kick is over halfway

:45:54. > :46:08.so that gives them time to get the defensive line sorted.

:46:09. > :46:22.He has been given a yellow card. TMO.

:46:23. > :46:30.Dan Lydiate has one chance for a lifeline or else he has ten minutes

:46:31. > :46:38.in the bin. As soon as he got up he said, look at the screen. Flies out

:46:39. > :46:48.of the line, trade mag Dan Lydiate tackle. I don't think that is a

:46:49. > :46:57.penalty myself. His right arm started to go. That was harsh. That

:46:58. > :47:08.is harsh. If Warren Gatland wanted Dan Lydiate

:47:09. > :47:16.to have 80 minutes, he is down to 70!

:47:17. > :47:27.See it in slow motion, you want to see it at full speed. He goes low.

:47:28. > :47:33.He puts both arms out. The right shoulder is coming out. I think that

:47:34. > :47:36.is a harsh yellow card. There is nothing wrong with using

:47:37. > :47:41.the shoulder in conjunction with the arms.

:47:42. > :47:51.Now the pressure will come and the Ospreys down to 14 for the remainder

:47:52. > :47:56.of this half and the beginning of the second.

:47:57. > :48:09.No wonder Edinburgh want to keep it tight. Under those circumstances

:48:10. > :48:16.that is excellent by the Ospreys. Seven men in the Ospreys pack. Nicky

:48:17. > :48:19.Smith and a couple of others got to the other side. The scrum has been

:48:20. > :48:22.under pressure with eight men in them. Who fancies coming on as

:48:23. > :48:48.flanker? Owen Watkin. Going back to Dan Lydiate 's's

:48:49. > :48:53.tackle, there is nothing wrong with using the shoulder as long as the

:48:54. > :49:00.answer conjunction. Funny, his arm was going in that forward movement.

:49:01. > :49:07.The affiliate might be feeling a bit guilty because he's given them the

:49:08. > :49:19.scrum. Let's get our 5/2-time! Sam Davies needs to take his time here.

:49:20. > :49:29.Get it to Brendon Leonard and regroup.

:49:30. > :49:38.There will be quite hard for them to do seeing as Edinburgh is throwing!

:49:39. > :50:03.Did you know that, very short by Sam Davies.

:50:04. > :50:13.Final play in the first half. Edinburgh line-out. They need to get

:50:14. > :50:20.it off the park but the ball bobbles away. Anywhere will do for the

:50:21. > :50:28.Ospreys. Just get safely back to the changing room at 13-13. No heroine.

:50:29. > :50:33.Below the goal-line will do. Turn around and bang it. And that is what

:50:34. > :50:36.Sam Davies does. Three times Edinburgh have gone ahead in the

:50:37. > :50:40.first-half, three times the Ospreys have managed pack them back. They

:50:41. > :50:44.have lost Dan Lydiate and they will do at the beginning of the second

:50:45. > :50:51.half as well. At least they were go into the changing rooms all square

:50:52. > :50:55.at half-time. A try apiece and it is 13 point apiece between the Ospreys

:50:56. > :51:01.and Edinburgh. Brendon Leonard is with Phil. Would you reckon you have

:51:02. > :51:10.to improve on the second half but Mac just our basic skills.

:51:11. > :51:16.Especially in our own half. Equal is a pretty good result. A confident

:51:17. > :51:22.you can do something with ball? Yes. We will be dangerous. Thanks for

:51:23. > :51:28.your time, good man. Have a good orange.

:51:29. > :51:32.The Ospreys desperate for victory tonight. A victory that will take

:51:33. > :51:36.them back to the top six. It is all square at half-time. Edinburgh had

:51:37. > :51:42.the early initiative and a lovely try by Allan Dell. But the Ospreys

:51:43. > :51:46.struck back. A little bit of genius thereby Sam Davies. Ben John doing

:51:47. > :51:50.well to gather the ball and off-load to the supporting Sam Underhill.

:51:51. > :51:54.This is how the half ended, Dan Lydiate shown a yellow funny top

:51:55. > :51:58.tackle. He didn't use his arms. We will get Jonathan Thomas verdict on

:51:59. > :52:25.that. Let's have a look at the stats. Tackles made and missed.

:52:26. > :52:30.Edinburgh started more strongly. Did you sense the Ospreys yellow card

:52:31. > :52:36.aside and creeping back into this one?

:52:37. > :52:40.I felt scrum dominance and discipline has given Edinburgh field

:52:41. > :52:45.position. It has allowed them that dominance to be very equal. But that

:52:46. > :52:50.was massive, that's right. We were talking about how poorer performers

:52:51. > :52:55.that was by the Ospreys but something like that, a shot out of

:52:56. > :53:00.nothing, a great kick by Sam Davies, that has turned the game on its

:53:01. > :53:04.head. That'll change the team talk. Let's bring Sean in. I don't know

:53:05. > :53:09.how much you can see. The constant rain here is having a real effect on

:53:10. > :53:12.the game tonight. They greasy surface, greasy ball on the Ospreys

:53:13. > :53:16.will not be happy with the error count.

:53:17. > :53:19.Edinburgh haven't had as many errors as the Ospreys. The conceit is a

:53:20. > :53:24.tight game and what it means to both teams. The Ospreys have made so many

:53:25. > :53:29.areas. Discipline and errors have cost them. It is right from the. Dan

:53:30. > :53:33.Evans got a crucial role in the conditions and his first touch, the

:53:34. > :53:37.intent is to kick it in field but this goes wrong and it sets the

:53:38. > :53:44.tone. The scrum has been an issue for the Ospreys. This is too long by

:53:45. > :53:49.Sam Davies. They choose to go to the left and it is out. Another set

:53:50. > :53:56.piece. On Edinburgh's restart, you want to clear your lines. Owen

:53:57. > :54:01.Watkin, young, naive, ties to play it out. It is another set piece.

:54:02. > :54:06.When they have got possession just not on the same page. You couple

:54:07. > :54:13.that with some discipline and it is the real issue. Dan Lydiate, and

:54:14. > :54:19.characteristics of the high ball carry and gets ripped. When they did

:54:20. > :54:24.exploit the short side, greats running by Sam Davies, AB didn't

:54:25. > :54:27.have the cutting edge. It will be a pretty tetchy half-time from Steve

:54:28. > :54:31.Tandy. A lot of those errors and a lot of

:54:32. > :54:42.those not cause leading to set pieces. The scrum has been messy. We

:54:43. > :54:50.have got the new guy, not having a good time. This was Nicky Smith. He

:54:51. > :54:56.was penalised here. He is growing in confidence, he is lower than Ma'afu

:54:57. > :55:00.Fia. The referee has awarded some penalties and free kicks. The back

:55:01. > :55:07.five is running around the outside. Look at Dell. He is having a quiet

:55:08. > :55:21.word with Ma'afu Fia. This very next scrum, he decides to have a real go.

:55:22. > :55:26.He has gone on the outside, end of. A problem area that. Looking at the

:55:27. > :55:32.Ospreys bounce, is it time to make some replacements? I agree. Once a

:55:33. > :55:38.referee has got a perception about the scrum you need to get to

:55:39. > :55:41.replacement on. I would get on Aaron Jarvis.

:55:42. > :55:46.We shall see if that happens. Edinburgh East cross the line first

:55:47. > :55:50.and they threaten to on a number of occasions. We were watching when

:55:51. > :55:56.they had men on the left-hand side down chose to go right. Some great

:55:57. > :56:00.build-up play from Greig Tonks. They didn't panic from the turnover.

:56:01. > :56:05.I've felt they went the wrong way as well. Look at how it manifests

:56:06. > :56:11.itself. It is Dan Lydiate who carries into high. Many teams would

:56:12. > :56:16.panic, throat quick passes but they get very direct. They have got

:56:17. > :56:21.numbers on the right-hand side of the screen that they go the wrong

:56:22. > :56:26.way. They don't panic, the regroup. The Ospreys don't fold. They got

:56:27. > :56:30.another rough players. It leaves a large gap between Dan Baker and

:56:31. > :56:39.Nicky Smith. The runners coming off Tonks is crucial. They collected the

:56:40. > :56:43.runners, they get very bored. The patients counted.

:56:44. > :56:48.The Ospreys didn't give up and they scored at a crucial time. Five

:56:49. > :56:56.minutes left. Sam Underhill went over after a perfect chip from Sam

:56:57. > :57:02.Davies. Magnificence from Ben John. As they kick went through it was

:57:03. > :57:06.almost the kick to nothing. Ben John absolutely made that try. I know the

:57:07. > :57:14.Ospreys practised that in training and shows what training does. It

:57:15. > :57:17.came off on that occasion. We talked a lot about Dan Lydiate before the

:57:18. > :57:20.game because it was his first that in an Ospreys journey since New

:57:21. > :57:26.Year's Day. We wondered whether Warren Gatland was having a look at

:57:27. > :57:31.him for France. You have been paying a close eye on him. What have you

:57:32. > :57:38.made of his general performance? Context is key. He hasn't played his

:57:39. > :57:43.New Year's Day. He has looked industrious. He has looked for work.

:57:44. > :57:49.They key thing is he has looked for work. He has looked to carry the

:57:50. > :57:52.ball. Has he been at his vintage best? No. You would expect that from

:57:53. > :58:02.somebody who hasn't played for a wrong -- long time. He will come out

:58:03. > :58:06.all guns blazing. Look out Edinburgh when Dan Lydiate

:58:07. > :58:10.re-enters the fray. On that yellow card, you have played a couple of

:58:11. > :58:14.seasons in England where you see that top tackle is refereed

:58:15. > :58:18.differently. Referees are looking at this aspect

:58:19. > :58:22.of the game are closely. I played in England and the top tackle used to

:58:23. > :58:26.get penalised a lot. Is there something that is coming in to

:58:27. > :58:37.referees in general? Who knows? Hats that is a one-off. Let's see how

:58:38. > :58:42.that develops. It looked harsh. He will miss the first five minutes

:58:43. > :58:44.of the second half. There is no Six Nations action for you to look

:58:45. > :58:50.forward to this weekend but that is plenty of other rugby coming your

:58:51. > :58:54.way. In a week's time and beaten France

:58:55. > :58:59.will arrive at the Principality Stadium. Sport Wales will consider

:59:00. > :59:04.what changes Wales should make. I like the combination of Warburton

:59:05. > :59:08.and Tipuric. It hasn't gelled but it is still early days. Here that full

:59:09. > :59:14.interview on sport Wales at nine o'clock. On Sunday, two top teams

:59:15. > :59:25.tussle for top four places. Ulster versus Scarlets is at 2:15pm. We

:59:26. > :59:32.will round up all be proved 12 action at preview Round 3 of the Six

:59:33. > :59:37.Nations. -- and preview. The score that in Glasgow and

:59:38. > :59:41.Munster is 14-10 to Glasgow. If Glasgow winter night and the Ospreys

:59:42. > :59:44.went, it means Ospreys goes to the top six for the first time this

:59:45. > :59:51.season. The other game has just finished. It is Treviso against the

:59:52. > :59:59.Dragons. Despite this Hallam Amos try, the Dragons have lost 19-17.

:00:00. > :00:02.Treviso, after losing every single game in both competitions all season

:00:03. > :00:08.up until last weekend and have won to in a row against Welsh

:00:09. > :00:14.opposition. The arrival of the former Canadian code to Treviso is

:00:15. > :00:21.making an impact. Les Doctor Martin Williams. A lot of pros of action

:00:22. > :00:29.coming our way. Blues against Leinster at the Arms Park. How much

:00:30. > :00:45.of a blip will that be by that defeat to Treviso?

:00:46. > :00:53.It is difficult when you go to Treviso, you see the Dragons side

:00:54. > :00:58.and new coaches there, you have to deal with the referees and linesmen

:00:59. > :01:04.but it was a huge disappointment. They have a huge match against a

:01:05. > :01:10.strong Leinster side tomorrow. They will be boosted by returning Wales

:01:11. > :01:20.internationals. We have heard a rumour that perhaps they will get 40

:01:21. > :01:23.minutes each. I will be amazed if they will be picked tomorrow. They

:01:24. > :01:36.have been around for long enough, they know... It is interesting if

:01:37. > :01:42.that is true. Liam Williams and George North will definitely start.

:01:43. > :01:48.It is one out of those three guys. Whoever impresses that we can can

:01:49. > :01:52.hold their time is up -- hands up. It is almost a mini trial with

:01:53. > :01:58.France on the horizon. Not long before they come back out. We have

:01:59. > :02:06.five minutes from the Ospreys, a man down in this half. Do you believe

:02:07. > :02:14.they can get back into the top six? That try, that will be huge morale

:02:15. > :02:19.boost. 13-6 at half-time in these conditions can be tough to come back

:02:20. > :02:33.from. That will turn the game on its head and I would expect Austro is to

:02:34. > :02:37.win it. -- Ospreys to win it. Edinburgh are on the pitch. We can

:02:38. > :02:42.return now to Martyn Williams and Gareth Charles.

:02:43. > :02:53.Thanks very much. No changes in the Edinburgh line-up, on the field

:02:54. > :03:01.already. Aaron Jarvis wearing a team comes out onto the field. I am sure

:03:02. > :03:13.feels to will be on the hunt to see why because Cracknell, wearing 20,

:03:14. > :03:24.has come on, ... During half time there was a drop of rain.

:03:25. > :03:28.He has his work cut out with Lydiate missing the first seven or eight

:03:29. > :03:44.minutes. So Ospreys will continue a man short

:03:45. > :03:48.for the next five minutes as Ollie Cracknell gets the ball for the

:03:49. > :03:58.first time. Just enough time for Sam Davies to get the kick away as far

:03:59. > :04:17.as Du Preez. Not quite the "Was last week.

:04:18. > :04:33.That is a great burst through by Watson. Poor defence by the Ospreys,

:04:34. > :04:41.they folded slowly. There is Watson began.

:04:42. > :04:50.Penalised for not releasing. The Ospreys wouldn't want to look too

:04:51. > :05:08.closely at some of these defensive lapses. It was so slow folding to

:05:09. > :05:13.the far side. Sean Kennedy will not be happy. Real dynamic openside,

:05:14. > :05:31.great pace. I am not sure what the wind is doing

:05:32. > :05:42.out there but Sam Davies, who we know... That has certainly flown

:05:43. > :05:46.from Owen Watkins. I thought it would stop dead but maybe just

:05:47. > :05:58.enough movement, with having another look at. They haven't kicked well,

:05:59. > :06:09.they are normally a good kicking side.

:06:10. > :06:24.Sam Davies kicked hits the line, turns it back inside to Dan Evans.

:06:25. > :06:44.Cracknell. Born in Leeds but played in North Wales. Baker. Watkin timing

:06:45. > :06:45.his run well. Very involved, he has carried very well in the three

:06:46. > :06:59.minutes he has been on. They are a bit narrow now, the

:07:00. > :07:08.Ospreys, as King sets it up. Cracknell, yet again. Watkin the

:07:09. > :07:22.dummy runner for Hassler this time. He starts his runs from deep. Builds

:07:23. > :07:23.up of steam on the gain line. Ospreys

:07:24. > :07:38.keeping the ball well. Any patients now. Orange others takes it on. Sam

:07:39. > :07:42.Davies. The ball was dying on him. Looking for anything, really.

:07:43. > :07:50.Engelbrecht was never going to get on the end of it. Great play from

:07:51. > :08:01.the Ospreys, Sam Davies, you don't like to see this. Thinks he has to

:08:02. > :08:12.put a chip kick in. Broke in with a strong carry from Baker from a

:08:13. > :08:18.return kick. You talk about an impact from the bench, five or six

:08:19. > :08:30.carries in the first finish, great impact from the young substitute.

:08:31. > :08:35.21-year-old. Half a dozen games this season, five of them off the bench.

:08:36. > :08:37.Sam Davies gets the first point of the second half and it is just what

:08:38. > :08:56.the Ospreys deserve. The Ospreys will be happy with that,

:08:57. > :09:05.down to 14 men, damage limitation. Poor discipline from Edinburgh.

:09:06. > :09:13.Munster have gone ahead in Glasgow, Glasgow were miles clear at one

:09:14. > :09:20.stage. Fascinating back row for the Champions Cup, so tight. That will

:09:21. > :09:35.be played in Cymmer -- Domenech I am not mistaken -- in Kilmarnock if I

:09:36. > :09:39.not mistaken. Everyone in Wales will be desperately Ospreys to keep this

:09:40. > :09:45.winning run going. The last thing you need is one team in the

:09:46. > :09:50.Champions Cup. It is so tight in the top six. They have to go away to

:09:51. > :10:07.Connacht and Leinster after this. Ulster and Connacht on 45, Leinster

:10:08. > :10:21.and Scarlets on 34. That is the way they were before.

:10:22. > :10:30.Greg Tonks. Very good under pressure. Not happy I don't think,

:10:31. > :10:38.with Ben John's timing. He is really fired up. Bresler stopped in his

:10:39. > :10:50.tracks. A big gap behind there, that was

:10:51. > :10:56.what Dan Evans was aiming for. Burleigh quick to cover because he

:10:57. > :11:05.knew the return kick was coming. He found the space behind. Hassler

:11:06. > :11:13.says, thanks very much. Didn't want that ball to go there.

:11:14. > :11:23.The other change at the same time sees Thomas of Newcastle Emlyn

:11:24. > :11:35.coming on for Nicky Smith. The third game in a row that Thomas

:11:36. > :11:44.has come off the bench. Burleigh, Tonks. Getting

:11:45. > :12:14.increasingly involved. Toolis makes it available. Lydiate

:12:15. > :12:18.with the tackle on Allen. Ospreys not yielding ground, though.

:12:19. > :12:28.Lydiate needs to get his hands off it. Well, the call was there from

:12:29. > :12:35.the referee and whatever the rights and wrongs of Dan Lydiate's timing

:12:36. > :12:41.and positioning, once the rest says hands off there is only one thing

:12:42. > :12:49.you can do. You just have to let them have the ball. Lydiate has come

:12:50. > :12:55.into counter. Unusual for Lydiate. Usually so disciplined. Again, when

:12:56. > :12:59.you are 50 metres out there is no need to give those penalties away.

:13:00. > :13:06.The defence and physicality from the Ospreys were superb for those five

:13:07. > :13:12.to six phases. The referee is getting an absolute ribbing from the

:13:13. > :13:21.crowd! But they haven't got the benefit of hearing what he is

:13:22. > :13:27.saying! He was quite clear. So a completely new front row for the

:13:28. > :13:30.Ospreys, Otten has just signed a new three-year contract and will join

:13:31. > :13:43.Davies and Jarvis. Good initial drive by the Ospreys.

:13:44. > :13:53.Just being a pest, getting, hands on the ball, stops the momentum.

:13:54. > :14:19.Again, the Ospreys defence looking pretty good, and Jarvis getting over

:14:20. > :14:23.the ball and winning penalty. They have really stepped up their

:14:24. > :14:28.physicality in defence. They keep their discipline and are in control

:14:29. > :14:32.in defence. The Edinburgh ball carriers getting a few yards. At

:14:33. > :14:40.that time, Daniel Lydiate not using his arm. The referee blew very

:14:41. > :14:43.quickly, but they were competing from the tight end. Number three,

:14:44. > :14:55.White. Simon Berghan, Christchurch born

:14:56. > :15:18.prop. It is a ruck now. Use it! Very

:15:19. > :15:44.dangerous scrum-half. Must have been a knock-on.

:15:45. > :15:53.JJ Engelbrecht's homes starting debut lasted just over 50 minutes.

:15:54. > :15:59.Josh Matavesi takes over. Brings an extra thing in the kicking game.

:16:00. > :16:05.Engelbrecht has been very quiet tonight, still finding his feet,

:16:06. > :16:13.defensively in the system and attacking wise as well stop white

:16:14. > :16:14.Watkin can play another 12 or 13. Matavesi extra kicker, left footed

:16:15. > :16:25.in midfield. Here is Matavesi with a carry.

:16:26. > :16:44.Straight into Beard. Just a bit too much pace on it. With

:16:45. > :16:55.that spill as well, they will come back for the initial one. Very

:16:56. > :17:02.scrappy. You cannot Reiffel a ball into a front row after he has been

:17:03. > :17:09.scrummaging. You need to delicately pass it to him.

:17:10. > :17:17.As the injuries are seen to, Steely has more company. Andy Nichol, we

:17:18. > :17:23.will have two stop meeting like this! Lou mac I feel like I am due

:17:24. > :17:32.to pay council tax here now! What you think about this? It is a bit

:17:33. > :17:37.scrappy, skidded, wet, but they have come out in the second half, the

:17:38. > :17:43.Osprey, visited a TV and tackles are there. This time of the year it is

:17:44. > :17:46.about winning. It is, when you don't have your best players that is just

:17:47. > :17:51.about winning. For Ospreys, the great when Munster last week, they

:17:52. > :17:55.will want to back it up, likewise for Edinburgh, if you can win away

:17:56. > :18:02.you can move up the league and start to get in there. Have you got over

:18:03. > :18:10.England at the Six Nations? Is he still allowed to be in Wales after

:18:11. > :18:14.this? ! A prediction, please. I think it is all about getting your

:18:15. > :18:21.noses in front which the Ospreys have. They have experienced players

:18:22. > :18:27.out there. Cheers, Andy. Cheers. Injuries piling up for Ireland, we

:18:28. > :18:34.heard. Three out, couple out for the rest of the season. Obviously going

:18:35. > :18:39.to make history with three in a row, Ireland, but they have been hammered

:18:40. > :18:45.with injuries before and during the tournament. Hopefully they can do

:18:46. > :18:50.what the Welsh team did with all the injuries in the World Cup and sneak

:18:51. > :18:57.a win, but you have to see, knowing that a firm favourites are out next

:18:58. > :19:03.week. And Manu Tuilagi back. Yes, he brings a different dynamic. That is

:19:04. > :19:08.if he can play for the next couple of weeks. The call for Eddie Jones

:19:09. > :19:13.to put him in against Wales. He will probably only get two games under

:19:14. > :19:17.his belt before England-Wales in Twickenham, but he is a world-class

:19:18. > :19:22.centre so I am not sure if he is quite ready, if I am honest! The

:19:23. > :19:28.Welsh team due to be announced Monday morning with France to

:19:29. > :19:33.announce their line-up on Wednesday. Full coverage on Friday night and of

:19:34. > :19:39.course, Dragons game here on Scrum V Thursday night as a little

:19:40. > :19:44.appetiser. Sam Davies looking for the half-break, keeping the defence

:19:45. > :19:49.honest as well. Good to see it, it is the first time he has handled

:19:50. > :19:55.that. Keep suing to mind is not to fly out defensively. He has won a

:19:56. > :20:24.penalty as well. We mentioned the left foot of Matavesi earlier.

:20:25. > :20:39.Again, safety first. Making sure of the line-out. Sport Wales to follow

:20:40. > :20:44.here on BBC Two Wales this evening. And then a train journey to Belfast

:20:45. > :20:48.for me for Ulster-Scarlets on Sunday afternoon.

:20:49. > :21:00.Edinburgh continue with the changes. Look back at the whole weekend, look

:21:01. > :21:04.forward to next weekend, 6:20pm on Sunday on Scrum V. Sam Davies chips

:21:05. > :21:09.for the corner again. This time Brown can do nothing but shepherded

:21:10. > :21:14.over, and a line-out five metres out.

:21:15. > :21:20.Yes, much better from the Ospreys, taking control of this game in the

:21:21. > :21:22.second half, first 15 minutes, all the territory, all the possession,

:21:23. > :21:33.totally dominant. Put all the pressure in Edinburgh,

:21:34. > :21:39.key for the Ospreys is to keep their discipline. Not give Edinburgh

:21:40. > :21:45.piggyback out of their 22. It is turning on its head, as if the

:21:46. > :21:50.Ospreys lifted the Ospreys for that moment. A different proposition in

:21:51. > :21:57.the second-half. Yes, very quiet and scrap the October point but they

:21:58. > :22:02.were given a lift. -- scrappy up to that point. The aggression level has

:22:03. > :22:09.gone up several notches. I'd imagine a few half terms at -- harsh words

:22:10. > :22:20.at half-time as well. I think he has a dislocated finger here, which is

:22:21. > :22:22.nice. -- isn't nice. Never mind, says Simon Berghan, I'll carry on

:22:23. > :22:35.anyway. Different mentality about every

:22:36. > :22:37.chase. Every tackle, every follow-up, with the Ospreys in the

:22:38. > :22:57.second period. Then John gone to ground by Jamie

:22:58. > :23:04.Ritchie. Thornton. Other flies Gilchrist, his first game of the

:23:05. > :23:18.season. Matavesi finds Jarvis in midfield.

:23:19. > :23:27.The game has turned completely on its head. This is how Edinburgh were

:23:28. > :23:31.in the opening stages. Going through the phases. Yes, winning the battle

:23:32. > :23:35.of the gain line, the big carriers getting the Ospreys on the front

:23:36. > :23:43.foot. Matavesi bringing a different I mention, not only his kicking game

:23:44. > :23:47.but his distribution as well. -- bringing a different dimensional.

:23:48. > :23:49.Into double figures as far as the phases go, edging forward towards

:23:50. > :24:02.that Edinburgh 22. Oh! Big clank notifies that Hassler

:24:03. > :24:32.is involved in play! Davies back in the pocket! He was

:24:33. > :24:38.lining up the drop goal but as he eyed up the posts he took his eye

:24:39. > :24:46.off the ball. Yes, really good pressure. Putting a few doubts into

:24:47. > :24:52.Davies's mine. Yes, he is looking at taking his eye off the ball.

:24:53. > :24:56.Disappointing end to some good play from the Ospreys. No reward but a

:24:57. > :25:03.lot of pressure. What is happening elsewhere this week and? Five games

:25:04. > :25:07.in the Premiership, the big one, the Gwent derby.

:25:08. > :25:22.For the good field guide this week, league three, they celebrate their

:25:23. > :25:27.120th anniversary. Sad news on Monday, the funeral of the longest

:25:28. > :25:32.ever serving Cardiff player, Tom Holley, who died recently at 99,

:25:33. > :25:38.played for Cardiff before the war and after, but probably better known

:25:39. > :25:44.as the rubber duck man for Cardiff club for years, running on with his

:25:45. > :25:51.black bag for the injured players. Did that for the universities and

:25:52. > :25:57.also touring sides. He was awarded an MBE. Great character for Cardiff

:25:58. > :26:01.rugby and Welsh rugby, Tom Holley, RIP. Real gentleman, such a nice

:26:02. > :26:26.guy. There hasn't been more than a score

:26:27. > :26:31.between the teams at any stage. 13-6 has been the biggest advantage.

:26:32. > :26:34.Edinburgh took the lead three times in the first half, Ospreys have

:26:35. > :26:44.edged ahead for the first time in the second. Good disruption by the

:26:45. > :26:49.Ospreys, but illegal. Yes, a change in the front rows but no change in

:26:50. > :26:52.the dominance from Edinburgh. You can tell by the way they keep the

:26:53. > :26:58.ball in the back of the scrum, they know they are on top. Ospreys were

:26:59. > :27:19.wheeling it from the back five. Brilliantly done by John. That is

:27:20. > :27:24.not forward. You said brilliant, but that definitely went forward. Here

:27:25. > :27:33.is another one for him to deal with, this a bit more comfortable. John

:27:34. > :27:37.had such a good season in the centre last year, some people thought he

:27:38. > :27:41.was knocking on the door of selection for the Welsh squad, the

:27:42. > :27:45.training squads ahead of the World Cup. Didn't make it. Had a couple of

:27:46. > :27:51.games on the wing in the last couple of weeks.

:27:52. > :28:02.Dan Evans fires it back down to Tonks.

:28:03. > :28:20.Leonard did enough, Hassler, that was a bit high from Du Preez.

:28:21. > :28:32.John keeping is eye on it superbly. That was so well done. I on the

:28:33. > :28:39.ball, and he was going to go for it, and he won it. Absolute textbook

:28:40. > :28:47.stuff for any youngsters watching. Oh! Pressure on Brown.

:28:48. > :28:55.He was glad he just got a foot to it. He would have been in big

:28:56. > :28:59.trouble. Brilliant from John, initially the one which went

:29:00. > :29:03.forward, we can't see the end goal but credit for that. For a guy who

:29:04. > :29:08.normally plays in the centre, a fantastic kick. You have to give

:29:09. > :29:13.huge credit to Brendon Leonard. His box kicks have been spot-on, which

:29:14. > :29:16.allows Ben John to do what he does, at standing play from Ben John. King

:29:17. > :29:28.delivers the line. Just manages to scramble it away.

:29:29. > :29:33.There were illegalities along the way.

:29:34. > :29:37.The ball is still in the ruck, you cannot play the ninth. Be very

:29:38. > :30:06.careful. Playing the nine. Burleigh from the side there... He

:30:07. > :30:08.has had him for playing the nine but I think he came from the side there,

:30:09. > :30:11.Burleigh. The game is just turning on its

:30:12. > :30:27.head. The Ospreys have had two thirds of

:30:28. > :30:31.the ball in the second half. They are taking their chances. It is

:30:32. > :30:39.another Sam Davies penalty and they are now six points to the good.

:30:40. > :30:47.Les pinpointed these two kicks. -- let's pinpoint. Edinburgh gave the

:30:48. > :30:53.penalty away. It is important to take the goal kicks as well. Greig

:30:54. > :30:54.Tonks missed two easy ones in the first half. That is the difference

:30:55. > :31:25.at the moment. Again, an excellent kick chase by

:31:26. > :31:32.the Ospreys. The pressure straight on Edinburgh. The bench has brought

:31:33. > :31:34.some energy to the Ospreys. They are getting off the line are putting

:31:35. > :31:56.pressure on the Edinburgh ball-carriers.

:31:57. > :32:09.A great tackle by Olly Cracknell. Stops him dead.

:32:10. > :32:18.There is a real determination about the Ospreys to get their men. It is

:32:19. > :32:33.hard work for Edinburgh but they are making slow progress.

:32:34. > :32:48.Tonks ready to step in as half. Du Preez.

:32:49. > :32:55.They have kept them quieter night, Du Preez, he is usually influential

:32:56. > :33:02.with ball in hand. This is a better build-up by Edinburgh. Hidalgo-Clyne

:33:03. > :33:10.is a good player. Released eyes Scotland for this game. James King

:33:11. > :33:21.gets across to put him out of play. He is a real dynamo, Hamish Watson.

:33:22. > :33:24.Grades covered by James King. He is a fantastic athlete. There's a lot

:33:25. > :33:32.of unseen work. A great cover tackle.

:33:33. > :33:45.Hidalgo-Clyne is a very good player. He has a very good, sharp pass. I

:33:46. > :33:50.think he is top drawer and I'm surprised he hasn't had more of a

:33:51. > :33:57.run. He doesn't run the game as good as Greig Laidlaw does. But he is

:33:58. > :34:04.such a threat at the fringes. He is a Scottish international of the

:34:05. > :34:05.future, definitely. First choice Scottish scrum-half in the very near

:34:06. > :34:23.future. There is a card coming here. He

:34:24. > :34:28.warned them under their own sticks. I clearly warned you about that. You

:34:29. > :34:33.are clearly off your feet and then played the ball.

:34:34. > :34:36.He can shake his head all he wants, clock ring. Marius Mitrea warned

:34:37. > :34:56.them and he has flown off his feet. Just in the background. In he goes.

:34:57. > :34:59.It is a clear penalty. The referee has clearly giving them the warning.

:35:00. > :35:05.He is the captain and he should know better. Now he has put his team in

:35:06. > :35:10.real strife. It is the offence of taking the

:35:11. > :35:18.ground pass the ball a lot of players feel they can get away with

:35:19. > :35:41.it. Good refereeing from Marius Mitrea.

:35:42. > :35:56.Boots flying everywhere. The good take by Baker. -- that is a lovely,

:35:57. > :36:01.lovely kick. Just what the Ospreys wanted.

:36:02. > :36:08.The half-backs have controlled the second half. Kick much better, but

:36:09. > :36:14.the Ospreys on the front foot. Coffin 's corner as we used to call

:36:15. > :36:19.it! It is a real blow for Edinburgh. You have lost your hooker as well.

:36:20. > :36:23.You will have to have the props through in. Great opportunity to put

:36:24. > :36:26.pressure on the Edinburgh Linux, five metres out.

:36:27. > :36:33.They are not quite sure what to do because they haven't got a occur.

:36:34. > :36:39.They have realised somebody has to throw the ball in! Applause for

:36:40. > :36:46.Brendon Leonard as he departs and another youngster who has signed a

:36:47. > :36:56.three-year extension to his contract, Tom Habberfield, takes his

:36:57. > :37:06.place. Couple of turnovers. The scrum-half to throw in.

:37:07. > :37:17.I would get a winger to throw it in one-handed. Not straight. That is

:37:18. > :37:25.smart, smart play from Sam Davies. Lost the hooker. He has put his team

:37:26. > :37:28.and all sorts of problems by going into the bin. A great opportunity

:37:29. > :37:31.for the Ospreys to go for the jugular.

:37:32. > :37:37.A lot of time a team would have taken the winger off especially in a

:37:38. > :37:40.game that isn't flowing rugby. You need ten minutes. We haven't got

:37:41. > :37:51.a hooker. I don't think Tom Browne has seen

:37:52. > :37:54.the ball in hand is all game. Now they are taking off Hamish

:37:55. > :38:02.Watson who has been one of the most industrious players on the park. It

:38:03. > :38:05.beggars belief. In the contest of Billy, they got to think of the

:38:06. > :38:11.Ospreys can stop Edinburgh ghetto losing bonus point, in the context

:38:12. > :38:16.of the top six that is going to be a massive result. They have got to

:38:17. > :38:20.have a steady scrum because that is one area where they have been second

:38:21. > :38:23.best, the Ospreys. I know George Turner is a former backroom player,

:38:24. > :38:30.I can't believe they have taken Hamish Watson. -- back row player.

:38:31. > :38:45.Can the Ospreys put it to bed as we approach the final ten minutes? They

:38:46. > :38:53.have to build up again. A try, a converted try here would surely be

:38:54. > :39:22.enough. It's a Leyte the 6-point lead the Ospreys have already.

:39:23. > :39:27.A long advantage being played for the offside and that is what they

:39:28. > :39:33.will eventually go back to. The Ospreys can't can jazz up a winning

:39:34. > :39:43.try. It will have to do is buy kicks.

:39:44. > :39:52.-- they will have to do it by kicks. I think it is the right call. You

:39:53. > :39:55.can just see he flashes back. Edinburgh have been penalised for

:39:56. > :40:30.five times a it is three successful penalties in

:40:31. > :40:34.the second half for Sam Davies and that will be just enough to secure

:40:35. > :40:39.another important win for the Ospreys.

:40:40. > :40:45.If you can see Sam Davies here. Hidalgo-Clyne is coming across. They

:40:46. > :40:53.won't mind too much. They will take the three points. 9-point lead. They

:40:54. > :40:57.have dominated the second half. It is a two score game now with only

:40:58. > :41:17.nine minutes remaining. A good take by Greg Tonks. Greig

:41:18. > :41:22.Tonks. The Ospreys need to show the level of intensity so they don't put

:41:23. > :41:28.themselves under pressure in the closing stages. Ball in hand and

:41:29. > :41:31.defensively, they have gone up in energy levels. The intensity has

:41:32. > :41:40.been better in the second half by the Ospreys.

:41:41. > :41:48.He stole that, Haberfield, and then got it stolen from him.

:41:49. > :41:55.The pressure is on Hidalgo-Clyne. Get it away to George Turner and a

:41:56. > :42:01.mistake is forced. Defence wins for the Ospreys.

:42:02. > :42:07.James King has done a lot of hard graft tonight. Dan Lydiate was

:42:08. > :42:32.involved as well. You can see the intensity around that gain line.

:42:33. > :42:46.It is Gareth Davies who is down at the moment. Rynier Bernardo is

:42:47. > :42:52.coming on. Dan Lydiate, just over an hour, 72 minutes including an

:42:53. > :42:59.extended ten minutes break. I think he will be very happy with

:43:00. > :43:03.that. He worked hard. He hasn't had a lot of rugby this year. It'll be

:43:04. > :43:35.interesting to see what the selection will be next Monday.

:43:36. > :43:47.Time is ebbing away for Edinburgh. 21-21 was their margin of defeat at

:43:48. > :43:52.Parc y Scarlets last Friday. At the moment they have nothing to show for

:43:53. > :44:02.their journey south, not even a losing bonus point. Even the scrums

:44:03. > :44:07.are going the Ospreys way. Sometimes, all the momentum falls

:44:08. > :44:10.your way. Edinburgh will be kicking themselves in the first half, they

:44:11. > :44:18.should have been further in the lead. But it was 13 all. Did be

:44:19. > :44:24.fair, the Ospreys have dominated the second half. Sam Davies is kicked

:44:25. > :44:31.better, put the Ospreys in some great positions. I think they are

:44:32. > :44:39.happy those too, believe it or not. There is a mixture of happiness

:44:40. > :44:55.Andrew Leafa, I think. -- and the relief, I think.

:44:56. > :44:59.The Ospreys have spent long, long periods in Edinburgh's half in the

:45:00. > :45:08.second period. Sam Davies. Advantage for Edinburgh

:45:09. > :45:55.with ball in hand. Ben John on the charge. Little

:45:56. > :46:04.Edinburgh could do except admit they have two concede the line-out.

:46:05. > :46:20.Glasgow, a late try has put them back ahead against Munster. Glasgow

:46:21. > :46:23.on the Ospreys tales. Munster just ahead of the Ospreys before this

:46:24. > :46:30.evening. They could well be overtaken.

:46:31. > :46:39.That is Hamish Watson, waiting permission to come back on. Aaron

:46:40. > :46:47.Jarvis flaps back the overthrow and Ben John looks for a way through.

:46:48. > :46:53.The Ospreys are looking to drive there advantage home. Sam Davies

:46:54. > :46:57.tries to ghost his way through. Just brought down. Tom Habberfield has a

:46:58. > :47:14.go as well. Scott Otten drives the tackle and

:47:15. > :47:19.get the try that makes Victor the absolutely safe for the Ospreys in a

:47:20. > :47:22.vastly improved second-half performance.

:47:23. > :47:28.Yes, brilliance from the Ospreys. Turning the screw. Scott Otten it

:47:29. > :47:31.amazes what the Ospreys Ben Shephard done in the second half, they have

:47:32. > :47:45.had a huge impact. Cracknell carried hard. Aled Thomas whether he is.

:47:46. > :47:50.That is put defence by Edinburgh. -- Paul. Cracknell carrying in and

:47:51. > :47:56.keeps a low body position. Did is under the first tackler. Then in the

:47:57. > :48:06.corner. Really well deserved for Scott Otten.

:48:07. > :48:13.Edinburgh persist with the changes but it is academic now because they

:48:14. > :48:17.are going to fall to a third straight defeat after three wins in

:48:18. > :48:25.aero, it is three defeats for Edinburgh. Ospreys stays on winning

:48:26. > :48:31.ways. Not quite by Sam Davies. It didn't matter because the wing is in

:48:32. > :48:35.the bag. At the end of it, who is getting your man of the match?

:48:36. > :48:45.The really difficult one. Ben John has been fantastic. Half-backs have

:48:46. > :48:50.done very well, Leonard and Sam Davies is that I was going to give

:48:51. > :48:57.it to track down. But for me, Dan Baker, who did the first 18, 18

:48:58. > :49:04.carries, 80 metres. He put in the hard graft. There he was protecting

:49:05. > :49:12.that possession. That allowed Sam Davies to kick away. Can I change my

:49:13. > :49:22.mind and give it to Olly Cracknell? ! He has had some 40 minutes has

:49:23. > :49:31.Olly Cracknell. The English will be looking for him

:49:32. > :49:42.as well! And the Hill, Cracknell. They will be a reading party coming

:49:43. > :49:43.over the border! I'm sure our GC will be claiming their own swiftly

:49:44. > :49:57.enough. Edinburgh have a penalty. They won't

:49:58. > :50:03.want Edinburgh to score a try each year. They don't let Edinburgh to

:50:04. > :50:08.come away with that bonus point. In the grand scheme of the top six.

:50:09. > :50:14.Edinburgh and Ospreys at two of the teams going for that top six. I

:50:15. > :50:19.don't think anybody has had the outstanding game. It has been a real

:50:20. > :50:23.team effort. But he has really worked hard. He has put the Ospreys

:50:24. > :50:44.on the front foot. Well, one last effort from Edinburgh

:50:45. > :50:48.to see they can salvage even losing bonus point. A needy converted to to

:50:49. > :50:54.do so. Boston has another look forward. They are gravitating

:50:55. > :51:00.slightly towards the touchline. They need to get as close as possible to

:51:01. > :51:11.the posts. They need to get over the try line first of course. It is over

:51:12. > :51:16.the touchline. Nothing untoward in it. The Ospreys have done their job

:51:17. > :51:21.was done they have won again. It is a bit of a Jekyll Hyde performance

:51:22. > :51:25.from the Ospreys. They struggled for long periods in the first-half but

:51:26. > :51:29.somehow they have found themselves are muddled firms at the interval

:51:30. > :51:36.and then it was a different Ospreys that came out in the second half. So

:51:37. > :51:43.much more aggression, determination about all of their game. The bench

:51:44. > :51:46.all played their part and it is a fine team performance. They

:51:47. > :51:50.dominated throughout, they kept the clean sheet in the second half and

:51:51. > :51:57.with the boot of Sam Davies and the try of Scott Otten to go with the

:51:58. > :52:00.one by Underhill at the first-half, victory was assured. Edinburgh, for

:52:01. > :52:06.the second time running, have come down to south Wales and gone away

:52:07. > :52:09.with a defeat. They have got a losing bonus point of the Scarlets

:52:10. > :52:13.last week but have come away empty-handed this week. The Ospreys

:52:14. > :52:21.keep their climb up the team. They have beaten Edinburgh 27-13. Phil

:52:22. > :52:25.Steele is with a man of the match. You are a man of the match. What was

:52:26. > :52:30.the difference between that second-half performance at the first

:52:31. > :52:32.We wanted to come out and play with tempo.

:52:33. > :52:43.That didn't happen. The coaches had a bit of a go at us. It is all about

:52:44. > :52:49.winning now? We have got to win every game. Take it as it comes. How

:52:50. > :52:58.difficult weather conditions? It is a bit greasy. But it happens. It was

:52:59. > :53:03.a fair old scrum by Edinburgh. We knew they were going to come towards

:53:04. > :53:08.the scrum, the whole pack. Two of the second half we stood up and I

:53:09. > :53:15.think we did pretty well. Winning ugly is still a win. Well done.

:53:16. > :53:20.Congratulations to him. Edinburgh came to West Wales and for the

:53:21. > :53:24.second week running has gone home with nothing. We have the initiative

:53:25. > :53:30.of the first hour. The loosehead prop going over for a try. That Sam

:53:31. > :53:34.Davies chip and Ben John gather lead to Sam Underhill's riposte. In the

:53:35. > :53:42.second half it was all Ospreys and stop 14- nil in the second half of

:53:43. > :53:50.them. The icing on the kick by Scott Otten. It was the handsome victory.

:53:51. > :53:56.Edinburgh had to make a lot more tackles in the second are. They

:53:57. > :54:05.missed a few of them. The Ospreys so more determined in the second hour.

:54:06. > :54:14.Dan Biggar puts a big shift in. Let's have a look at the table. That

:54:15. > :54:18.has taken the Ospreys up to sixth place for the first time this

:54:19. > :54:21.season. They are now in contention for European qualification. They are

:54:22. > :54:29.behind Edinburgh in terms of points difference will stop Munster against

:54:30. > :54:33.Glasgow is still going on. If Glasgow income Ospreys will remain

:54:34. > :54:40.in sixth place. Jonathan Thomas, it really was a game of two halves. The

:54:41. > :54:47.Ospreys came out in the second half with more intent.

:54:48. > :54:52.I think it was all the Ben John catch and the Underhill try. It gave

:54:53. > :54:57.them a massive boost of confidence. They came out a different team. Led

:54:58. > :55:05.by the back row. Dan Baker was outstanding. I think the big thing

:55:06. > :55:15.was, it was all about winning. If it was winning ugly, so be it.

:55:16. > :55:19.Congratulations to them. What was it then? Was it as Steve Tandy special

:55:20. > :55:23.team talk that changed the fortunes around. He must have done a good job

:55:24. > :55:29.in there because they went very bad eggs in the second hour. Similar to

:55:30. > :55:35.last week against Munster. They just needed a win. I'm going to credit a

:55:36. > :55:41.lot of the pressure for the running from the bench. The captain was ill

:55:42. > :55:48.disciplined. He has been told to let go and he doesn't. It manifested

:55:49. > :55:52.itself year. The referee has had enough and it is a yellow card.

:55:53. > :56:00.Credit Sam Davies. He recognises this. This is a good kick against

:56:01. > :56:04.the grain. There was no hooker. Hidalgo-Clyne threw it in, not

:56:05. > :56:09.straight, then the pressure built. They took their chances. It is a

:56:10. > :56:17.penalty as a result of the pressure and they kept going, knocking on the

:56:18. > :56:20.door. The bands come up with rotten to the fore capped off a great

:56:21. > :56:23.second half. One man who will be very pleased

:56:24. > :56:30.with the captain for the night, Brendon Leonard will stop he is with

:56:31. > :56:36.Phil. You will as good as you work half-time. It is 40 minutes to get

:56:37. > :56:40.into the game. But we need to learn those lessons. It is a very good

:56:41. > :56:46.second half. What is a team talk of a Captain's tactics? And would love

:56:47. > :56:52.to say it was my tactics. It was about our energy and movement. We

:56:53. > :57:00.showed what we could do. Denying Edinburgh a bonus point. It is

:57:01. > :57:12.important. But it was for us to get a win. What you did out in Ireland

:57:13. > :57:21.last Sunday, but showed today. It took as well to get into the game.

:57:22. > :57:25.Ideally, we would like to start like that but it got a lot more

:57:26. > :57:35.confidence and stop congratulations the brand and -- to Brendon Leonard.

:57:36. > :57:41.Ben John, had a good acclaim as any to be man of the match.

:57:42. > :57:47.He is normally a centre. We said Ospreys practice kick and receive in

:57:48. > :57:53.training. He is renowned for his tackling as he should be. Games like

:57:54. > :57:57.this, tight games turn on big moments. He has been outstanding in

:57:58. > :58:01.the air. This is outstanding work. We see Dan Biggar doing it a lot.

:58:02. > :58:08.This is the turning point of the matter. The game is, tight games

:58:09. > :58:13.turn on big moments like this. 13 all at half-time. That is where the

:58:14. > :58:18.game turns up as you say, it is something the Ospreys have become

:58:19. > :58:23.renowned for. It is such an important tactic in

:58:24. > :58:25.the modern game. Modern defence is so tight you have

:58:26. > :58:33.to look at every tackling opportunity you can. We saw the All

:58:34. > :58:39.Blacks last time, they played high kicks. It is definitely an area of

:58:40. > :58:47.the game people work on a lot more, teams work on a lot more. The

:58:48. > :58:51.Ospreys work on it. Every player is becoming skilled in that area.

:58:52. > :58:58.There will be a few subplots across this weekend because as Wales France

:58:59. > :59:02.a week tonight and a lot of players will be looking at their shirts. We

:59:03. > :59:05.have been looking at Dan Lydiate. He went off with a yellow card the two

:59:06. > :59:09.that the camera on him in the second half. But itself in his shoes now

:59:10. > :59:15.come he has lost his place to Justin Tipuric or Sam Warburton. What

:59:16. > :59:20.sleepy feeling going home tonight? Has he done enough to dissuade

:59:21. > :59:27.Warren Gatland he is ready to start? Either be frustrated. His intent was

:59:28. > :59:32.huge, his workrate was huge. It is as if he was trying too hard.

:59:33. > :59:37.Sometimes you can make some mistakes. He will be disappointed

:59:38. > :59:41.tonight. Let us be harsh on him. He hasn't played against his New Year's

:59:42. > :59:46.Day. If he would come out and had the storm tonight I think he is in

:59:47. > :59:50.the discussion to start next week. But who knows what Warren Gatland is

:59:51. > :59:55.thinking. Based on tonight 's's of form as he looks rusty and needs

:59:56. > :00:00.more game time. What do you think Warren Gatland

:00:01. > :00:07.will do them for that French game? I'm not Warren Gatland! What a nice

:00:08. > :00:14.problem to have, for international quality players to choose from in

:00:15. > :00:17.the back row. For Lions. In terms of Justin Tipuric, we have talked so

:00:18. > :00:20.much about him at the last two years about what a quality player he is, I

:00:21. > :00:25.would like him running in the jersey. That is all this debate

:00:26. > :00:32.about who plays, I would like to see Dan Lydiate, what the turn and

:00:33. > :00:38.Faletau have had chance to grow into the jersey, I would like Dan Lydiate

:00:39. > :00:42.to grow into the shirt. I don't think Tipuric has played enough

:00:43. > :00:48.regularly. I would like to see him play next week. Lydiate is a quality

:00:49. > :00:52.player if he gets enough rugby he will be in contention for the

:00:53. > :00:55.England game. Wales haven't lost to France in four years. Will Wales

:00:56. > :01:01.wing? I expect Wales to win. I can't see

:01:02. > :01:05.the French winning to stop the only thing that links the French

:01:06. > :01:10.dangerous is the fact they have won two games. That is a dangerous

:01:11. > :01:15.animal, that breeds confidence and stop the French of the confidence

:01:16. > :01:19.coming into Cardiff stop thanks to you for watching at overstock it is

:01:20. > :01:21.congratulations to the Ospreys. They have beaten Edinburgh here. We will

:01:22. > :01:23.see you Sunday.
