:00:23. > :00:30.That's the end of it. It's a draw in Dublin. Time moves fast in the Six

:00:31. > :00:34.Nations, with Dublin a fading memory, the focus switches to

:00:35. > :00:39.Scotland. But tonight, it's about another

:00:40. > :00:46.Welsh/Scottish clash as the Scarlets and Edinburgh fight for a place at

:00:47. > :00:58.the top. Two teams, two nations, two cultures - let battle commence.

:00:59. > :01:02.Yes, this is the perfect warm-up for the main event tomorrow, a

:01:03. > :01:10.Welsh/Scottish clash to saver in the Pro12. The Scarlets desperate for

:01:11. > :01:15.victory after losing three in the last four, they know that defeat

:01:16. > :01:21.could put a severe dent in the title ambitions. And here is why. This

:01:22. > :01:25.season's Pro12 is closer than ever before.

:01:26. > :01:33.Nine points separating first from sixth. And two other games going on

:01:34. > :01:38.contesting the top four change places, so by the end of the night

:01:39. > :01:41.it could all change. Good evening, welcome to the

:01:42. > :01:50.programme. We have a Wales/Scottish theme. Arched fittingly, a very warm

:01:51. > :01:59.welcome to Chris Pattinson and James Bond, I mean, Gareth Thomas... The

:02:00. > :02:03.Milk Tray man! Yes. We talk about depleted resources but

:02:04. > :02:07.it is a time for the fringe players to put up their hands to show what

:02:08. > :02:11.they can do? It is a good opportunity for a lot of players. If

:02:12. > :02:16.you are in the national team, you are a definite for the region. This

:02:17. > :02:19.is a great opportunity for the regions to start letting in new

:02:20. > :02:24.players and seeing how the combinations can go. You can get

:02:25. > :02:31.struck with injuries or lose a player, so it is an exciting time

:02:32. > :02:35.for the advance of regional rugby to see where the next superstar is

:02:36. > :02:40.coming from. Chris, both teams gunning for the

:02:41. > :02:44.top four positions. Edinburgh's recent record, they have lost five

:02:45. > :02:49.in the last six but creditly, the one they won was against the

:02:50. > :02:54.Scarlets at home? Yes, it drew at home in Murrayfield. But Edinburgh

:02:55. > :02:58.are a tough team to beat. They don't play the most parton rugby but are

:02:59. > :03:04.hard to beat. The meanest defence in the league. They are bringing that

:03:05. > :03:11.tonight to hope that they can break one or two tackles.

:03:12. > :03:14.We spoke about depleted resources, there are many internationals

:03:15. > :03:22.missing from both sides but one man that is known as Mr Dependable it is

:03:23. > :03:31.Hadleigh Parkes. We caught up with him earlier in the week.

:03:32. > :03:36.And Regan King juggles with it but it is out of his hands and a try in

:03:37. > :03:40.the corner for that man, #45d league Parkes.

:03:41. > :03:46.It was a great start but we have fallen off a few. We have lost a few

:03:47. > :03:53.tight games but we are still in a good position.

:03:54. > :03:59.We had a bit of a relationship with Wayne P at Auckland. I have known

:04:00. > :04:04.him for three years. Once we got the job, he asked if I was keen to move

:04:05. > :04:10.to Wales. I was getting to the stage where I thought it would be good to

:04:11. > :04:15.experience European rugby. Obviously New Zealand is a long way from

:04:16. > :04:19.anywhere where else, Wayne kept in touch and it pulled through for me.

:04:20. > :04:24.I have had a great opportunity so far.

:04:25. > :04:30.12 is the most preferred position. Having played there most of my life.

:04:31. > :04:34.But I have been chucked at full whack, never before, so a sink or a

:04:35. > :04:41.swim situation. But I really enjoyed it. I don't mind the utility tag too

:04:42. > :04:48.much but prefer to be in mid-field. At the start of the season, it was

:04:49. > :04:53.top four. Being realistic now, it could be aiming for two-for-one. The

:04:54. > :04:59.next four weeks are important. We want to put the best foot forward

:05:00. > :05:03.for rugby next year, you want to play against the best teams in the

:05:04. > :05:08.world. To be in the mix and playing each week.

:05:09. > :05:13.There he is. The man, Hadleigh Parkes captaining the Scarlets for

:05:14. > :05:18.the second game running. He is a real fans' favourite in West Wales.

:05:19. > :05:23.Wayne from Auckland knew what he was getting when he signed this man to

:05:24. > :05:30.play for the Scarlets. And Phil Davis is our analyst tonight.

:05:31. > :05:36.Welcome welcome, Phil. We talk about signing foreign players, the this is

:05:37. > :05:40.the kind of guy that the region should be going after? Absolutely.

:05:41. > :05:45.You have to do the research, know what type of players you want. Who

:05:46. > :05:49.will fit into the culture, who brings to the team and Hadleigh

:05:50. > :05:54.Parkes, as you can see the Scarlets have done this well. He is powerful

:05:55. > :06:00.in defence. Ripping the ball of a prop forward. A great cover tackle

:06:01. > :06:05.against Leinster. He is relentless in terms of physicality and contact.

:06:06. > :06:10.He is difficult to put down. Here he spots a gap. He gets over and scores

:06:11. > :06:14.a great try. You have DTH, arguably one of the

:06:15. > :06:18.best broken field runners in the Pro12. The Scarlets have the great

:06:19. > :06:24.start. The best in terms of line breaks. He is the reason why. He

:06:25. > :06:29.scored great tries, had a great World Cup for Canada. Making a great

:06:30. > :06:35.impact for the Scarlets. And here, David Bulbring. Tonight, here is a

:06:36. > :06:39.real contrast in styles. The Scarlets with the attacking flair

:06:40. > :06:45.and as Chris has said, Edinburgh with the meanest defence. A tackle

:06:46. > :06:48.completion rate of 91%. So the Scarlets's attack must be red not

:06:49. > :06:55.break it down. A real clash of styles to look

:06:56. > :07:01.forward to. Chris, the Scarlets will miss their Scottish opening cider,

:07:02. > :07:05.by up know you are impressed with a man capped twice for Scotland and

:07:06. > :07:17.never fails to impress for Edinburgh? Yes, Hamish Watson. He is

:07:18. > :07:23.really combative. I like to see him break being tackles, and here he has

:07:24. > :07:27.the gas to finish it off. A good old fashioned seven. Ironically

:07:28. > :07:30.Edinburgh and Scotland need players like that to play quickly. Hopefully

:07:31. > :07:36.he will get the ball in hand. A quality player.

:07:37. > :07:43.On the clash of styles, it is intriguing a side with the most line

:07:44. > :07:49.breaks and the Edinburgh side who pride themselves on on the defence.

:07:50. > :07:58.Edinburgh are hard to beat. Here we are have a quality defence. Duncan

:07:59. > :08:03.Hodgkins has been giving the team a real attacking edge. If they get

:08:04. > :08:07.quick ball, as all team, Edinburgh have the quality to strike out wide.

:08:08. > :08:13.I hope that they can do that tonight.

:08:14. > :08:16.I was speaking to Adam Solomons, the Edinburgh head coach.

:08:17. > :08:21.We caught up with him. You have to put right what you did

:08:22. > :08:26.not do well in the last round against Connaught, what did you

:08:27. > :08:31.mean? It was obvious, the set piece did not go well and discipline. The

:08:32. > :08:35.two areas that we have to get right. Edinburgh are a good set piece, so a

:08:36. > :08:41.test for us. And what happened the last season?

:08:42. > :08:46.They beat news the Pro12 at home. We would like to get that right.

:08:47. > :08:51.Have a good one. Alan it is a lesser Wales clash but

:08:52. > :08:56.I don't think you see it like that? No it is a important game for both

:08:57. > :09:00.teams, for the Scarlets and for ourselves. We know that the Scarlets

:09:01. > :09:04.at home will be tough. So we have to be at our best.

:09:05. > :09:09.How will you play it? It is about each individual performing really

:09:10. > :09:14.well so that the collective can perform well.

:09:15. > :09:19.Enjoy it. Thank you very much. Two more games going on in the

:09:20. > :09:33.pro-12. Both could impact in the top four. They kicked off at 7. 30pm.

:09:34. > :09:38.Leinster, 21, Zebra, 0. And Ulster 3-5, Glasgow beating Ulster. Also a

:09:39. > :09:49.game between the Dragons and Connaught. This is what happened.

:09:50. > :09:57.That is Blade getting the ball away to Rodney.

:09:58. > :10:07.That is the dragon's 22. Blade to Muldoon. And Matt Healy and

:10:08. > :10:14.under the post for a first try for Connacht. Blade and Adam Hughes is

:10:15. > :10:19.in with a chance. If he can dribble it, he is over. Adam Hughes for the

:10:20. > :10:26.Dragons. Good control by the forward. Blade

:10:27. > :10:38.has options. They are going wide. Here is O' Halloran. How simple was

:10:39. > :10:43.that for Connacht? Landman, Harris, Ashton-Hewitt to finish for the

:10:44. > :10:49.Dragons. Beautifully enneared by the forwards, the wing did the rest. The

:10:50. > :11:00.grunt and shunt coming on from Connacht. It is Masterson lurking

:11:01. > :11:04.with intent. And he is over. Are the Dragons going to succumb with two

:11:05. > :11:11.minutes to go? In the shadow of the post. And Bundiake is there.

:11:12. > :11:17.To have four players dropping out of a game is really difficult for us.

:11:18. > :11:22.We are also nursing an injury list as long as a marathon. Full credit

:11:23. > :11:29.to the players. We stuck at it. I thought we played good rugby at

:11:30. > :11:34.times. Connacht had five chances to score tries, they took four of them.

:11:35. > :11:43.You have to give them credit. And more evidence that Connacht are

:11:44. > :11:49.to be taken seriously. The other game, it has just finished. Behind

:11:50. > :11:55.into the 80th minute but then Giles went over for a third try. From the

:11:56. > :12:04.ospreys' academy. Before the final whistle was blown, a dramatic

:12:05. > :12:10.penalty for an 18-15 victory. Chris Pattinson seeing here?

:12:11. > :12:16.So, fantastic news for there them. Right down to the touchline. Phil

:12:17. > :12:20.Steele is paroling. We know it will be a forward battle,

:12:21. > :12:25.which the Scarlets have to win to win the game, are they up to it? We

:12:26. > :12:27.have made four changes in the front five with a lot of weight in the

:12:28. > :12:34.area. We have a bit of experience in the

:12:35. > :12:37.front row. We know we have a great scrum and a great rolling wall. So I

:12:38. > :12:42.think that the boys will be up for it.

:12:43. > :12:49.The injuries? Yes, unfortunately, five weeks in to it, now with my

:12:50. > :12:52.injury but getting better. Good luck to you.

:12:53. > :12:59.Perfect conditions. It should be a cracker.

:13:00. > :13:05.And we heard Emyhr talking about the parity. Even without the

:13:06. > :13:09.internationals, Regan, King, Van der Merwe, they have serious strike

:13:10. > :13:12.weapons? They have. And the Scarlets have been renowned for playing

:13:13. > :13:16.rugby. Obviously you need a platform. But a great opportunity

:13:17. > :13:19.for some of the players, who are potentially on the fringe. Not

:13:20. > :13:24.constant first starters. That is what this is about, these guys

:13:25. > :13:26.performing well. They have the firepower to score the tries, no

:13:27. > :13:34.doubt about that. Indeed. And we have a centurion from

:13:35. > :13:40.Scotland, a centurion from Wales, and if the scrum line is not

:13:41. > :13:43.star-studded, we have real royalty in the commentary box, you have

:13:44. > :13:49.probably guessed what I am talking about but if not, here is a clue.

:13:50. > :13:59.COMMENTATOR: Gerald Davis ?, what is he doing there? You can

:14:00. > :14:05.see Phil Bennett out to Butcher. Oh, this is going to be the try of the

:14:06. > :14:10.championship. I could watch that all day long and

:14:11. > :14:14.never get bored, it is the President of Scarlets, Phil Bennett. Great to

:14:15. > :14:20.have you on board. A very warm welcome to you. I will talk about

:14:21. > :14:24.Scotland after that cracking try. Scotland v Wales, how confident are

:14:25. > :14:31.you of a home victory? I think we could have won in Dublin, had we got

:14:32. > :14:35.it right tactically. We had a them good backwards in the scrum, the

:14:36. > :14:41.forwards dominant. We could have won. Confident for tomorrow. A great

:14:42. > :14:46.pitch to run on. They will want to play expansive rugby. I think it

:14:47. > :14:51.will be a great game. You can never write off Scotland but Wales for me.

:14:52. > :14:55.Well said. We have spoken about the importance of getting points while

:14:56. > :14:58.the internationals are away. Critical for the Scarlets to retain

:14:59. > :15:03.the title? They have to win. Absolutely. This is one of the

:15:04. > :15:08.biggest games of the season. What we look out for as viewers and

:15:09. > :15:13.supporters is the discipline. Scarlets are leaking yellow cards.

:15:14. > :15:20.They cannot do that tonight. Stent a vital game. Discipline is the watch

:15:21. > :15:25.ward. Andrew Brace is the man who has given the Scarlets a few yellows

:15:26. > :15:29.this season. But a big one tonight. Both teams looking to climb the

:15:30. > :15:33.table. It is close between the two. The last five games settled by a

:15:34. > :15:41.margin of four points or fewer. Will tonight be as close. Let's find out

:15:42. > :15:45.in the company of Phil Bennett and Gareth Giles.

:15:46. > :15:49.Thank you very much. Late on a Friday night in West Wales

:15:50. > :15:53.and the men from the Scottish capital have come down to see if

:15:54. > :15:58.they can continue their good form. They have won three of the last

:15:59. > :16:01.four, four of the last six. Edinburgh continuing their climb up

:16:02. > :16:05.the table. They have managed to get up to fifth. The Scarlets dropping

:16:06. > :16:11.down to third. Obviously some people are looking forward to a good rugby

:16:12. > :16:29.weekend. The whole Edinburgh front row is on duty. A useful back row,

:16:30. > :16:33.led by the captain, mike Coman. Damien Hoyland with five league

:16:34. > :16:38.tries, Phil Burleigh with three. So they have defence but they are

:16:39. > :16:46.capable of scoring tries as well. The Scarlets know that they have to

:16:47. > :16:49.get back to winning ways tonight. Hadleigh Parkes, back to lead the

:16:50. > :16:57.team as he did at the beginning of the season.

:16:58. > :17:01.He did that at the start when the international crew were on duty in

:17:02. > :17:15.the World Cup. Now they are in the Six Nations. His duties return here.

:17:16. > :17:21.The every green Phil John and Edwards. South African, David

:17:22. > :17:28.Bulbring, and Boyde. Back after injury.

:17:29. > :17:34.Shingler gets his start. Pad league Parkes, ever present.

:17:35. > :17:40.The Scarlets can only muster four forwards on the bench. Steff Hughes,

:17:41. > :17:44.the extra man. For Edinburgh, two players in Kinghorning and Richie,

:17:45. > :17:50.who could have been playing for the U 20s.

:17:51. > :17:55.Andrew Brace of Ireland. He is the man in charge this receivening. The

:17:56. > :18:08.Scarlets in third take on Edinburgh who are in fifth.

:18:09. > :18:14.It is Wales v Scotland in the prince Principality Stadium.

:18:15. > :18:18.And it is Parc y Scarlets this receivening.

:18:19. > :18:22.And Van der Merwe getting a gift in the opening second.

:18:23. > :18:30.David Bulbring there. A dramatic start.

:18:31. > :18:34.Will Boyde takes it off Aaron Shingler. Desperate defence by

:18:35. > :18:40.Edinburgh. They have managed to turn it over. The Scarlets lose

:18:41. > :18:45.possession and lose a chance. Van der Merwe almost snuck in under the

:18:46. > :18:50.radar and Edinburgh, in the end, happy to get the ball off. What an

:18:51. > :18:54.opening to the game. That was a shocker by Edinburgh.

:18:55. > :18:58.Nobody called for the ball. Nobody claimed responsibility. Van der

:18:59. > :19:01.Merwe could have been in there. I don't think that the coach would

:19:02. > :19:10.have been pleased with that defence. But it turned over.

:19:11. > :19:16.Phil Burleigh with the all important tackle to save Edinburgh and keep

:19:17. > :19:22.the scoreboard blank. A real slack pass and huge pressure on Hadleigh

:19:23. > :19:30.Parkes in the centre. Not his fault that the ball was knocked on. Chris

:19:31. > :19:37.joins us in the commentary box. You only just made it. I almost missed

:19:38. > :19:42.that. Phil Burleigh making that tackle. In the corner, how important

:19:43. > :19:46.was that. It could have been a great start for

:19:47. > :19:53.the Scarlets. Seven points around the post but here we go. A good

:19:54. > :19:57.attacking opportunity for Edinburgh. It will give an idea of how

:19:58. > :20:01.Edinburgh play. I would like to see them attack from here. I think we

:20:02. > :20:09.shall see a kick. Well, it is in their own half.

:20:10. > :20:20.A free kick. Early engagement from the Scarlets'

:20:21. > :20:25.front row. And they have opted for another

:20:26. > :20:31.scrum. Chris can tell me more but I was

:20:32. > :20:38.speaking to the Edinburgh committee, sitting in the front row in Pro12,

:20:39. > :20:45.yet going for a scrum here. It is the two that work so well

:20:46. > :20:51.together. Rory Sutherland and Cochrane is a good player and

:20:52. > :21:00.Andress has experience. I would like them to take a quick tap. Well, they

:21:01. > :21:06.have played 11, 12, and 13 games this season, so they know their way

:21:07. > :21:10.around the Pro12. The referee almost gave them another penalty.

:21:11. > :21:12.Michael Collins under pressure. He gets it out the back door to Rhodri

:21:13. > :21:33.Williams. Ju taking that back.

:21:34. > :21:43.Bless her does the cleaning up work. In comes Tom Brown.

:21:44. > :21:54.-- Bresner does the cleaning up work.

:21:55. > :22:09.It's half-time in the other two games, Leinster with a healthy 26-0

:22:10. > :22:12.lead. Glasgow ahead in the game 5-3. Tom Brown getting hit hard. He is an

:22:13. > :22:33.exciting runner. Setting the stall. I don't think that the hands of John

:22:34. > :22:36.Andress were meant to go there. But welcome possession for Edinburgh.

:22:37. > :23:10.Scrambling that one away. Time for Greig Tonks.

:23:11. > :23:21.There is a bit of a breeze out there. They are trying to see who

:23:22. > :23:29.can get the advantage with that. Shingler gets the Scarlets going

:23:30. > :23:36.forward. They look for a bit of width. Morgan

:23:37. > :23:46.Allen, straight through the middle! That will be so disappointing for

:23:47. > :23:48.Alan Solomons but very welcome for Wayne as Morgan Allen bursts his way

:23:49. > :23:57.through. . It started from poor kicking. Then

:23:58. > :24:03.George Earle reacted and it was moved out. Moved out to Morgan

:24:04. > :24:07.Allen. He bought the time from the defence and decided to go for it.

:24:08. > :24:12.Burst through the tackle with Hoyland.

:24:13. > :24:16.There was a better line speed there. It was a poor kick. But you make

:24:17. > :24:22.that a better kick with your line speed and chase. To be honest

:24:23. > :24:28.Edinburgh were not interested. So Morgan Allen, thinks, hang on, I

:24:29. > :24:33.can fend off a tackle and he is in for the easiest try of the season.

:24:34. > :24:44.They gave him all the rights to make his decision. A hell of a score.

:24:45. > :24:49.Steven Shingler supplies the extra two points. So even though the

:24:50. > :24:58.Scarlets did not get of to a flier, they get off to a dpeent start and a

:24:59. > :25:00.7-point lead. -- different start and a 7-point

:25:01. > :25:16.lead. Greig Tonks taking the re-start.

:25:17. > :25:23.No nonsense from the Scarlets's scrum-half. Polytheists It was a

:25:24. > :25:28.great catch from Rhodri Williams. You mentioned it, the wind is

:25:29. > :25:33.getting up here. It is swirling. There was a catch from Williams that

:25:34. > :25:37.set up that attack and there was the try score of Morgan Allen with all

:25:38. > :25:43.of the time in the world to assess options and drive through the tackle

:25:44. > :25:55.of Hoyland. After missing the start are of the

:25:56. > :26:00.season, he is adding in another try tonight.

:26:01. > :26:09.Phil Burleigh... Waiting for the off load.

:26:10. > :26:23.A beautifully delayed pass. The clearance is good for Nathan

:26:24. > :26:24.Fowles. Both teams showing good attacking

:26:25. > :26:42.intent early on. It has been slowed down. Phil

:26:43. > :27:01.Burleigh takes his eyes off it. Hoyland recovering for Edinburgh.

:27:02. > :27:07.This is what Edinburgh need after conceding points. Some confidence

:27:08. > :27:13.and attack. It is a dozen phases that they have

:27:14. > :27:15.gone through. The Scarlets defence is standing firm and pushing them

:27:16. > :27:25.backwards. Not committing if they don't have to

:27:26. > :27:37.the break down. Good for the space. Tom Brown on the outside.

:27:38. > :27:52.Fowles... Still Edinburgh keep the possession.

:27:53. > :28:07.Keeping the ball well, Edinburgh. They are being patient.

:28:08. > :28:17.They are edging their way forward. Just inside the Scarlets's 22. Greig

:28:18. > :28:28.Tonks has the ball ripped from his grabs by Steven Shingler. That

:28:29. > :29:02.allows Michael copiness to clear. -- Collins to clear.

:29:03. > :29:14.They sort that out. Steven Shingler didn't like the reaction.

:29:15. > :29:18.Clearly a late hit by you. You reacted by pushing him. When the

:29:19. > :29:20.whistle is gone, you stop what you are doing. The penalty is against

:29:21. > :29:34.you for a late tackle. We can see exactly what happened.

:29:35. > :29:39.The ball was whipped away from Greig Tonks. As he got his pass away, the

:29:40. > :29:52.suggestion that he got the tackle in late. Nice attack. But look at the

:29:53. > :30:07.bottom of the screen... Coming in... Clean and out. Shingler... Just

:30:08. > :30:16.missed it. Did not connect. It was high and slate. -- it was high and

:30:17. > :31:08.late. Trying to keep him from the floor. A

:31:09. > :31:14.maul has been called. Good defensive work from Edinburgh. The one thing

:31:15. > :31:18.we saw from the last movement, a bit of flair and skill and a few passes

:31:19. > :31:21.from behind the players, keeping their patients, unfortunately they

:31:22. > :31:36.lost the ball, but much better play from Edinburgh. The hold-up tackle

:31:37. > :31:43.their... If the ballplayer's knees touches the ground, then that is a

:31:44. > :31:58.tackle. Quite often it is about getting gamma MI5 -- getting gamma

:31:59. > :32:10.knees -- getting down the knee. So much time on the ball. Does not look

:32:11. > :32:17.big. Talking about the second row from South Africa, we would talking

:32:18. > :32:23.with the coach, so much homework on him... Victor Matfield, one of the

:32:24. > :32:33.greatest second row forwards in world rugby. They are very keen on

:32:34. > :32:38.him making his mark. He has signed until 2019, so he has time. So much

:32:39. > :32:42.time on the ball here, to weigh up... You do not often see that in

:32:43. > :32:47.today's game. Usually you see the ball under pressure. One thing we

:32:48. > :32:52.can say, Edinburgh have not yet got the gist of the wind. Some of the

:32:53. > :32:59.kicking has been very poor. It has picked up, since the start of the

:33:00. > :33:00.game. Steven Shingler, allowed the ball to bounce sensibly, because it

:33:01. > :33:12.was held up in the wind. Good scrum by Edinburgh. Edwards and

:33:13. > :33:35.Sutherland on the far side. Cochrane enjoying himself. Good

:33:36. > :33:46.scrum. Scarlet have got a couple of veterans as prop forwards. A strain

:33:47. > :33:51.all season. This is effectively the second front row. The first will be

:33:52. > :34:13.tomorrow. So choreographed together. I tell you what, that scrum-half

:34:14. > :34:28.reminds me of Justin Martyr when he was 18. When he was 18...

:34:29. > :34:33.Rediscovered himself. Old-fashioned player, I think it is a really good

:34:34. > :34:37.thing. Passes, distribute first, does not look himself. Purely there

:34:38. > :34:41.to be the link between the forwards and the backs, when you have a

:34:42. > :34:46.dominant pack, it is a good thing to have as a scrum-half. Such a good

:34:47. > :34:57.player on the bench for Scotland as well. Failing to find touch where

:34:58. > :35:04.they end up. As I say, the wind is swirling all over the place. Will

:35:05. > :35:10.have to learn to keep it fairly low. It is all over the place. No, step

:35:11. > :35:38.off. Line-out calls. That says something

:35:39. > :35:45.about the power of the Edinburgh front row. Good position. Opting to

:35:46. > :35:49.go back for the line-out. Aaron Shingler asked if they could have a

:35:50. > :36:03.line-out, he is a goatee man for this. Shingler called that, yes.

:36:04. > :36:17.Just to fill us all, they go for George Hill. -- fool. A penalty at

:36:18. > :36:29.least to come from it. Speculative from Shingler.

:36:30. > :36:38.I wonder if they fancy a chip for the caller, trying to repeat it. I

:36:39. > :36:43.would go for the corner again, difficult in the wind, go for the

:36:44. > :36:48.drive. When they pull them all down in that area, yellow card, warning.

:36:49. > :36:58.Then it is in the mind of the referee. You can see him in from the

:36:59. > :37:02.side, trying to tackle the maul. If you go back to three minutes,

:37:03. > :37:07.similar position, Edinburgh had the penalty... The pressure has come on,

:37:08. > :37:12.they have conceded a penalty, where they should have had an attacking

:37:13. > :37:23.set piece, over halfway, they are now facing Shingler.

:37:24. > :37:28.Somewhere in the mid-60s, percentage-wise, Steven Shingler.

:37:29. > :37:42.Crucial one against Connacht, last time out.

:37:43. > :38:07.They extend their lead to ten. It was a very good kick. Good kick

:38:08. > :38:11.against Connacht to win the game. Last kick of the game went inside

:38:12. > :38:19.the post, is used to pressure kicking. Shingler had a fair bit of

:38:20. > :38:25.ground to make up to get to that one.

:38:26. > :38:34.Boyd, loses possession. Edwards has gone forward. Can I make a quick

:38:35. > :38:38.point, Shingler having to come forward to take the kick reminded me

:38:39. > :38:43.of Dan Biggar, taking the kick at the Aviva Stadium last week, the key

:38:44. > :38:46.number ten coming forward, and taking it for the Edinburgh forward.

:38:47. > :38:53.Somebody else should claim that ball, not Steve Shingler. We are

:38:54. > :39:01.playing an. And the knock-on effect, nobody organising, from their use or

:39:02. > :39:06.a good tackle from Cochrane. -- from there, you saw a great tackle from

:39:07. > :39:14.Cochrane. Lets have a look at this scrum and see what pressure there is

:39:15. > :39:26.on them. Do you want to keep it straight,?

:39:27. > :39:39.The referee wants a word with the two front rows. Come here for a

:39:40. > :39:42.second, we had a discussion inside, stability was the minimum

:39:43. > :39:49.requirement, holds the hit, take the pressure off. I cannot make my

:39:50. > :39:56.message any clearer than that. -- hold the hit. Having a chuckle...

:39:57. > :40:02.Both Tynedale laces, finding something to occupy themselves with.

:40:03. > :40:09.They really took a lot of notice of what the referee said. -- both tying

:40:10. > :40:18.their laces. Only his 18th game in charge. Trying to impose himself on

:40:19. > :40:24.the front rows but as always, they are a law unto themselves. Good,

:40:25. > :40:31.steady scrum by Edinburgh. Winning the penalty for his team. Kept him

:40:32. > :40:34.in there, got the extra drive going, Llanelli Scarlets standing up. Good

:40:35. > :40:40.position, do they get the three points? Do they put in from the

:40:41. > :40:44.corner? Let's have a look. I think they go for the three points. Chris

:40:45. > :40:50.will know the kick is better than I do. A couple of options, Greg

:40:51. > :40:59.Johnson has kicked, fill has kicked as well. -- Phil

:41:00. > :41:15.keeping the power on. Look at Phil Jones, saying, look at that, not my

:41:16. > :41:20.fall to! Amazing, the prop forward. Deserving all of the credit for

:41:21. > :41:25.getting in there. You were making the point about Dan Biggar, earlier,

:41:26. > :41:30.you are quite right. We have played in those kind of positions, if it is

:41:31. > :41:34.good early ball, take it, if it is dangerous, leave it to the back row.

:41:35. > :41:35.The same thing has happened to Dan Biggar, and Steve Shingler is the

:41:36. > :41:49.same. Nathan falls curls it around,

:41:50. > :41:56.Edinburgh have their first points of the evening. Good clip, we mentioned

:41:57. > :41:59.that he blasted it, never easy outside the right-hand side, not a

:42:00. > :42:08.regular kicker, did well to keep his composure.

:42:09. > :42:22.Sad to see Shingler coming off. -- Nathan Fowles. He is making way, so

:42:23. > :42:29.we will find some company. I am behind enemy lines, in the BBC

:42:30. > :42:35.Scotland commentary position! What have you made of this so far, looks

:42:36. > :42:40.like a classic case of the Edinburgh scrum against the Scarlet backs.

:42:41. > :42:44.Absolutely, Edinburgh scrum has been dominant, three penalties, but this

:42:45. > :42:48.is a key moment, Steve Shingler going off, he has been a class act,

:42:49. > :42:54.controlling things very well. He has gone off with an injury which is

:42:55. > :42:57.really going to hinder them. Member you are in the BBC Scotland

:42:58. > :43:06.commentary box but this is BBC Wales you are talking to. This is a better

:43:07. > :43:10.game to play the last way, it is going to be more unstructured, both

:43:11. > :43:16.sites willing to play. Last week against England they got strangled.

:43:17. > :43:18.With the defence. I expect Scotland to press and be better, but I also

:43:19. > :43:44.expect Wales to be better. Stepping his way back in feel. --

:43:45. > :44:22.infield. Up to Aled Thomas to take advantage.

:44:23. > :44:31.Phil Jones, driving, defying his age. And a chance there. 192 league

:44:32. > :44:41.games, only John Muldoon O'Connor who has played more. -- Phil John.

:44:42. > :45:07.Telling Andy Parks how to play the game! LAUGHTER

:45:08. > :45:16.Thomas continues where Shingler left off. What is important from the

:45:17. > :45:21.Scarlet 's point of view, gaining points, so soon after conceding,

:45:22. > :45:29.from the kick-off. That is good from the Llanelli Scarlets. Putting

:45:30. > :45:34.height in it. Swerve, takes the ball, who is in charge? Here he

:45:35. > :45:51.goes. Similar kind of position, more Carrie. -- carry.

:45:52. > :46:03.Unfortunately for Neil Cochrane, the reason he could not roll away, he is

:46:04. > :46:14.down hurt. He made the tackle, well taken by Morgan Allen. Quite often

:46:15. > :46:25.it is the hip, it is a brave tackle, a good tackle. Called him around the

:46:26. > :46:29.hip area, strongman, brave man. I don't think that he will be playing

:46:30. > :46:36.much more, he will not play any greater part -- further part in this

:46:37. > :46:45.game. Getting the treatment that he needs, we will go back to Phil. 13-3

:46:46. > :46:52.after 25, are you happy? Definitely, we have a lot of intensity. We look

:46:53. > :47:02.quite sharp in attack. Morgan took his try well. Definitely happy. What

:47:03. > :47:06.about Steven Shingler? It is an injury to Disney, so he will be seen

:47:07. > :47:12.by the medics and hopefully it is not going to be too dangerous. --

:47:13. > :47:19.his knee. Straight into the kicking, and getting one over. E has been

:47:20. > :47:23.kicking well, over 80%. If you can keep the Edinburgh scrum at bay, it

:47:24. > :47:29.will be great. Queued for them, the scrum and the set piece. We have not

:47:30. > :47:32.done too badly so far, we have conceded a couple of penalties,

:47:33. > :47:38.still looking quite strong. Thank you for your time, as always. Neil

:47:39. > :47:51.Cochrane departs. Another hooker goes missing. Two in the Scottish

:47:52. > :47:55.centre, Turner replacing Cochrane. Young lad, he was in the academy

:47:56. > :48:04.when I was there, plays in the back as well.

:48:05. > :48:49.Looking to go wide early, the ball has been ripped from their

:48:50. > :49:03.possession. Beating the man very easily. Just enough to halt the

:49:04. > :49:14.progression. Now it is Sam Baird's chance to go for it. Slips it back

:49:15. > :49:24.inside. Good pressure by the Scarlet defence.

:49:25. > :49:58.As yet, the Scarlet defence coping very well in the Edinburgh attacks.

:49:59. > :50:11.Building the faces, keeping them in the same place in the end. As to go

:50:12. > :50:15.for possession. All onside. Back in the hands of Gareth Owens. Just

:50:16. > :50:26.missing out, Phil Burleigh. All kinds of things happening, how on

:50:27. > :50:32.earth... Just a quick point, Tom Brown, looking very sharp. Gareth

:50:33. > :50:37.Owen, normally a centre guard, known for his skills and not his pace. If

:50:38. > :50:42.I knew that, I would be wanting to movable as quick as I can. Tom Brown

:50:43. > :50:47.is a good player, really quick. Kicking game is not his strongest. I

:50:48. > :50:53.think he is really at home on the wing. Fast, quick. Gareth Owen I

:50:54. > :50:58.like as well. Good luck describing this, this is the end of it, the

:50:59. > :51:05.penalty comes in. Dropping over. Actually reacted very well. Good

:51:06. > :51:18.work with that, you have got to stay on your feet. Wrestler was involved

:51:19. > :51:20.in the tackle. -- Bresler. Edinburgh have had a lot of possession but

:51:21. > :51:38.they have not done much with it. Hamish Watson protecting the ball

:51:39. > :51:48.but not getting a chance to drive on. Slow ball, cannot use that. Take

:51:49. > :51:56.it up again. George Turner, replacement hooker.

:51:57. > :52:11.Called them all very early. -- called the maul. And as usual,

:52:12. > :52:16.Shingler is in the thick of things. This is it, the tackle... Shingler,

:52:17. > :52:24.he as well, because the ball was called, he does not have to roll

:52:25. > :52:28.away. I'm not sure I like that law. I can understand it but I would like

:52:29. > :52:32.to see that player have to go away, so the ball is in continuity.

:52:33. > :52:40.Leinster already racking up the bonus points, against Zebre.

:52:41. > :52:47.Leinster are the ones in between them in the table. And trailing 5-3

:52:48. > :52:53.at half-time, but now leading 10-5, Leinster. That is a huge result.

:52:54. > :53:05.That puts them into third, second or third. So tight at the top. A lot of

:53:06. > :53:12.players lose fitness towards the end of the season. Glasgow have two

:53:13. > :53:27.games in hand. 17 fighting former pro Quattro places. -- seven teams

:53:28. > :53:30.fighting for four places. Top six for Europe, and top four, for the

:53:31. > :53:39.play-off matches at the end of the season. A couple of battles. Well,

:53:40. > :53:48.if the results go as they stand at present, that is what the table will

:53:49. > :53:53.look like. Ulster will top. Leinster will jump over the Scarlet 's. That

:53:54. > :54:03.is how it stands, that is if it stays the same way. -- Llanelli

:54:04. > :54:12.Scarlets. Five of the six there. To be fair, Connor had been surprise

:54:13. > :54:16.package. The big thing, looking at the table I have in front of me,

:54:17. > :54:19.they have nine bonus points, when they have lost games, they have made

:54:20. > :54:24.sure that they away with the bonus points. That is testament to the way

:54:25. > :54:30.that they play the game. Great to see Connor doing well, for years he

:54:31. > :54:37.had been regarded as a junior. And getting representation in the Irish

:54:38. > :54:41.team as well. Plain good rugby as well. That is great to see. Bonus

:54:42. > :54:48.point away from home. That should be rewarded.

:54:49. > :55:01.Feet going away from him, John Andress.

:55:02. > :55:13.Touch finder. John Andress being penalised this time. You see his

:55:14. > :55:15.feet going away. His feet are so far behind him, there was always only

:55:16. > :55:27.going to be one result. Played well by Ben Tullius, getting

:55:28. > :55:43.in there. That replacement, Neil Cochrane

:55:44. > :55:47.going off with a head injury assessment, now permanent, so George

:55:48. > :56:01.Turner will stay on the field. Just getting up. Only 15, 20 metres.

:56:02. > :56:16.Might Allen. Greig Tonks, and Brown is straight through a crowd of

:56:17. > :56:22.defenders. Just a little bit strong. Very unlucky. Might Allen could not

:56:23. > :56:26.gather that one. Great work by Tom Brown, emerging from a mass of

:56:27. > :56:37.defenders and getting the ball away, just that little bit too strong. Two

:56:38. > :56:45.steels in a row. Watch Tom Brown here, no space to work with, steps

:56:46. > :56:50.inside, good feet. Little bit too hard, and hits his chest. -- steals.

:56:51. > :56:52.The golden raw with off-loading, if you can see the player you are

:56:53. > :56:57.passing to and you know that the lane is clear, give it, but this was

:56:58. > :57:03.rushed. Great attack from Tom Brown, again. He has certainly been the

:57:04. > :57:08.danger man for Edinburgh. Gareth Owen, as I have said, on the right

:57:09. > :57:12.wing, normally a centre, known for his skills and not his pace. Tom

:57:13. > :57:22.Brown looking very dangerous and sharp. Looks like he's getting

:57:23. > :57:30.treatment at the moment. I have always thought that he is a good

:57:31. > :57:44.ball player. Good attacking kicking game. Tom Brown as an out and out

:57:45. > :57:54.winner... Getting clipped as they looked to cover. He knows that he

:57:55. > :58:24.has a big nights work on his hands defensively.

:58:25. > :58:28.Scarlet will have to try to sort out this crime problem, they are coming

:58:29. > :58:39.under pressure. -- Scarlets. Greig Tonks... Goes aerial... Safely

:58:40. > :59:38.taken by Aled Thomas. Gareth Owen... Slip the tackle...

:59:39. > :59:41.Could not quite keep his feet... Could not keep control of the ball.

:59:42. > :59:56.Back downfield. Lovely break by Gareth Owen, I said

:59:57. > :00:03.that he lacks a yard of pace, but he's very skilful. Lost control of

:00:04. > :00:08.the ball there. Sped away as he looked to present it back.

:00:09. > :00:14.Underneath the flanker, a little show of the ball, half past ten.

:00:15. > :00:18.Talented footballer, people tipping him to reach the very top, suffering

:00:19. > :00:33.injuries but a valuable member of the squad.

:00:34. > :00:43.Yep, top quality player in the centre in mid-field. Not at his best

:00:44. > :00:48.this evening but always useful he can move about positions.

:00:49. > :00:52.If is interesting that Hadleigh Parkes started on the wing but he is

:00:53. > :00:55.such an important player, they need him in the centre.

:00:56. > :01:41.He is a strong man. Down the middle. A lovely off road from Toolis. To

:01:42. > :01:47.Phil Burleigh. Coman just a couple of metres short.

:01:48. > :01:54.Fowles looks to see who is there. The pressure is still on.

:01:55. > :01:59.Coman has stayed down. The Edinburgh captain is hurt. His team need

:02:00. > :02:03.points here at the end of the first half.

:02:04. > :02:12.Mike Allen, no way through the forwards.

:02:13. > :02:17.Defence, though, has reformed as they slowed the ball down. Greig

:02:18. > :02:26.Tonks, oh, a good step from Greig Tonks. It passed Allen easily.

:02:27. > :02:37.Toolis arrives. A good drive again.

:02:38. > :02:43.Rory Sutherland around the corner. The Scarlets have won it.

:02:44. > :02:49.They get a chance to clear. Important for them. It looked as

:02:50. > :02:56.though they were going to score. They have come away empty handed but

:02:57. > :03:05.the rush kick puts the pressure been by Damien Hoyland.

:03:06. > :03:15.Coman back up on his feet on the far wing.

:03:16. > :03:16.Hamish Watson... Again the Scarlets not committing to the breakdown

:03:17. > :03:35.unless they think they can win it. Two New Zealanders, 10 and 12 for

:03:36. > :03:53.Edinburgh. The Southern Hemisphere influence is big in the squad.

:03:54. > :03:58.The Scarlets slowing down. A big decision for the cape. Take

:03:59. > :04:01.the three points or the corner. They have had little change from the

:04:02. > :04:05.Scarlets defence. Yes, the defence has been great. I

:04:06. > :04:11.think that they will take the three points. Lots of ball. Lots of

:04:12. > :04:16.excitements, thrills and aggression. Great running here.

:04:17. > :04:20.You think there is bound to be a try but great covering defence from the

:04:21. > :04:24.Scarlets. And they are still odds on to get the ball and make use of it,

:04:25. > :04:31.possibly get a try but a wonderful turnover for the Scarlets.

:04:32. > :04:36.Morgan Allen, a good night for him. And Kirby Myhill with the important

:04:37. > :05:00.tackle on Coman to save the day on the far side.

:05:01. > :05:08.Oh! Outside of the post. Damien Hoyland gets it quickly. A good

:05:09. > :05:16.reaction from Rhodri Williams. The Scarlets don't concede late on.

:05:17. > :05:20.There will be time for one more play.

:05:21. > :05:24.I know there is a swirling wind but he will be disappointed with that.

:05:25. > :05:31.Not the hardest one in the world. Relief for the Scarlets.

:05:32. > :05:38.They need to keep them out one more time to go in with a 10-point

:05:39. > :05:44.advantage. A simple mistake in the end and the

:05:45. > :05:51.Scarlets' defence stands firm. It hasn't been breached at all. Just

:05:52. > :05:55.the one penalty from Nathan Fowles. Striking the woodwork with his

:05:56. > :06:01.second effort. The only try of the evening, bhe longing to the

:06:02. > :06:08.homeside, Morgan Allen. I think that they would be pretty satisfied.

:06:09. > :06:14.13-3 they lead. Pleased with the defence there, you were under the

:06:15. > :06:19.coche? Yes, we were. I think that we have played really well.

:06:20. > :06:21.The line speed has been lacking in the last few weeks, so this is

:06:22. > :06:27.pleasing. How much ball do you need to extend

:06:28. > :06:31.the score? We have looked OK. Hopefully we can get the ball a bit

:06:32. > :06:36.more and get a bit of a crack at them. That would be nice.

:06:37. > :06:40.Thanks for your time. These games are almost always close.

:06:41. > :06:44.Often one score that separates the two teams it is close tonight as

:06:45. > :06:51.well. Morgan Allen with that try. And well

:06:52. > :06:57.taken by the big man as well. Edinburgh had a few shots at goal.

:06:58. > :07:05.One at the dying half-time. 13-3 is the half-time score. The statistics

:07:06. > :07:16.there. Scarlets making three times more

:07:17. > :07:22.possession. Edinburgh making twice as many

:07:23. > :07:27.carries. If Alan Solomons is having a look at the statistics, he is

:07:28. > :07:33.probably thinking why are they not ahead? The defence has been

:07:34. > :07:38.powerful. They have had a great scramble defence. Any time Edinburgh

:07:39. > :07:43.have looked dangerous, they have snuffed it out. And the discipline,

:07:44. > :07:48.two kickable penalties, one they have kicked, one they have missed.

:07:49. > :07:53.So it is more what the Scarlets are doing.

:07:54. > :07:56.Edinburgh has had possession but the Scarlets' defence impressed me.

:07:57. > :08:01.And both of that is something that they were not renowned for,

:08:02. > :08:10.Scarlets. Discipline, and the yellow cards, in discipline. In terms of

:08:11. > :08:15.defence, it wassedburg's defence but the Scarlets are snuffing them out

:08:16. > :08:20.at each opportunity. You read the riot act, the penalties

:08:21. > :08:25.have been bad for the Scarlets, so there is a time that they put it to

:08:26. > :08:30.bed. Defensively, the Scarlets are better but they are passive. It is

:08:31. > :08:36.not often you can get a ball to outside of the 13 channel off set

:08:37. > :08:40.phase. Both teams are managing to do that. There is a sense of

:08:41. > :08:45.passiveness. As the Scarlets have a more dangerous back line, that makes

:08:46. > :08:48.them a more potent threat. Even though the statistics may show

:08:49. > :08:54.something, I think that the Scarlets are attempting to play more rugby

:08:55. > :08:59.than Edinburgh. So for me, they are deservedly in the lead. It was like

:09:00. > :09:04.the teams were listening to the pre-match analysis. We spoke about

:09:05. > :09:09.the contrasting styles. In the opening minute we saw the Scarlets

:09:10. > :09:13.attack and the Edinburgh defence? It was a great start. Highlighting the

:09:14. > :09:23.contrast. As we can see here. There is a great kick-off. Edinburgh

:09:24. > :09:27.misjudged it. Then a great defensive tackle by Phil Burleigh. The

:09:28. > :09:38.Scarlets pick up the ball, they are on the attack. Edinburgh's des fence

:09:39. > :09:44.is well organise Nuysed. -- organised. A great start by both

:09:45. > :09:50.teams and highlighted what the Scarlets are about. And in fact what

:09:51. > :09:57.Edinburgh are about in terms of a great turnover, getting the game off

:09:58. > :10:02.to a quick start. Chris, if you were wearing the red and black shirt,

:10:03. > :10:08.what might you be saying? I think that they have to mix the attack up.

:10:09. > :10:13.You need a better balance. There is space out wide but often there is a

:10:14. > :10:17.forward at first receiver. I would like to see Greig Tonks and Phil

:10:18. > :10:21.Burleigh, the right footer and the left footer and more variation in

:10:22. > :10:25.the play. Morgan Allen was not the first

:10:26. > :10:30.receiver, in the back line but he took it well? He showed good pace.

:10:31. > :10:36.Bur this happened from a poor kick. The Scarlets take it back. The key

:10:37. > :10:39.thing, run it back, sorry. The key thing they got three front five

:10:40. > :10:44.forwards. They are working hard to make up the inside shoulder. There

:10:45. > :10:49.is a winger in two minds with two Scarlets backs, and then the path is

:10:50. > :10:56.clear for Morgan Allen to attack the winger and score a great try. A good

:10:57. > :11:01.try from the Scarlets. Morguan far too powerful. Over he goes.

:11:02. > :11:07.Looking comfortable in the wide channels. Gareth you spoke about the

:11:08. > :11:11.strength of the Scarlets back line even without the Wales

:11:12. > :11:16.internationals. You were surprised, the conditions good but getting the

:11:17. > :11:20.ball early? They have the intent to go wide. Outside of the 13 channel,

:11:21. > :11:25.it is difficult for the defence to come up. They take the ball forward.

:11:26. > :11:29.As soon as the ball is away, you see the Edinburgh defence is tracking

:11:30. > :11:34.back with the Scarlets attack, so an easy place to get the ball. Once

:11:35. > :11:39.there, you are almost guaranteed lines. It is great skill. Getting

:11:40. > :11:45.into the middle to hit it up to make the numbers to go wide it is

:11:46. > :11:50.intelligent play by an intelligent Scarlets back right. And Chris a

:11:51. > :11:54.similar thing from Edinburgh in the wide channels nearly on the outside

:11:55. > :12:00.of the Scarlets defence but snuffed by the cover tackling? For me, that

:12:01. > :12:05.is where the space is. The first place is near the break down, the

:12:06. > :12:09.guard, the shield, the A. The first three defenders. They were obsessed

:12:10. > :12:14.with organising them. Towards the edge there is space for the defender

:12:15. > :12:23.to corp. So getting the ball there, there is space to atang. -- attack.

:12:24. > :12:28.It is an area with Tom Brown on the left and Greig Tonks hitting the

:12:29. > :12:31.line and Damien Hoyland, we should be attacking more.

:12:32. > :12:39.Plenty of dangerous players in the back line. Phil has been paying

:12:40. > :12:44.close attention to the Scarlets defence, it has been watertight?

:12:45. > :12:53.Yes, as Gareth said, clinical but well organised.

:12:54. > :12:58.Will Boyde comes out. There is George Earle and Shingler holding

:12:59. > :13:02.him up, there is a great turnover. They are well organised in the

:13:03. > :13:07.defence. They are off the line and making good tackles.

:13:08. > :13:13.Thank you, Phil. The second half is fast approaching. As always on BBC

:13:14. > :13:14.Television, we have a packed feast of rugby coming your way this

:13:15. > :13:31.weekend. Might that be the try now, yes it

:13:32. > :13:37.is! Stuart showing all the way! Wales go again. He reaches out and

:13:38. > :13:44.scores. Wales v Scotland is live tomorrow

:13:45. > :14:02.from the Pincipality Stadium from S 4 C and BBC Wales.

:14:03. > :14:20.And to the big event Wales v Scotland at the Pincipality Stadium.

:14:21. > :14:24.The time to hear the news that Dan bigger has recovered.

:14:25. > :14:40.-- Dan Bigger. Lazarus powers of recovery. So back

:14:41. > :14:45.in the saddle. A huge boost? It is a huge boost to the team and for the

:14:46. > :14:52.confidence. What I like about it, is the fact they put him back in there.

:14:53. > :15:00.For me last week came a resurgence of receivening Priestland. We have a

:15:01. > :15:05.world-class player in Dan bigger. -- Bigge are.

:15:06. > :15:10.I have great confidence we have a great ten sitting on the bench as

:15:11. > :15:14.well. As good as it is for him to come back, last week for him to

:15:15. > :15:23.leave the field gave us that Priestland effect.

:15:24. > :15:28.Dan Biggar is going to start tomorrow. That injury looked

:15:29. > :15:34.painful. Will Scotland target him tomorrow? They won't target the

:15:35. > :15:39.injury. The problem will be kicking. If it is not quite right, he may

:15:40. > :15:43.have to strap it up, it may have the effect. Scotland have to concentrate

:15:44. > :15:49.on themselves. They did to an extent last week. But I was blown away with

:15:50. > :15:55.the physicality of the Welsh team. I know Gareth was in Dublin but the

:15:56. > :15:59.physicality was mind blowing. Scotland cannot cope with that. So

:16:00. > :16:03.by focussing on your ten, you are not thinking about how you can

:16:04. > :16:08.affect the game. Hopefully Scotland will think of themselves, and bring

:16:09. > :16:16.in attacking space and bring a tempo that is great to watch.

:16:17. > :16:21.We have a world-class 12, if he needs to protect his ten, he can

:16:22. > :16:27.protect him. The guys can get around him. If they need to protect them,

:16:28. > :16:33.they can do that. They are strong on the back three.

:16:34. > :16:42.And on last week's game, no better buyered guard than Jamie Roberts.

:16:43. > :16:51.Now the thoughts of a families man to wear the Welsh Number 10 jersey.

:16:52. > :16:57.Phil, we have spoken about how receivening Priestland has performed

:16:58. > :17:04.but in terms of Dan Biggar, how good is this? It is great. For him to be

:17:05. > :17:13.declared fit. There was talk of four to six weeks, he he is back. Gareth

:17:14. > :17:19.alluded to receivening Priestland in great form -- radios Priestland, so

:17:20. > :17:26.two great Number 10s. Hope that they will not risk him. He has to be 100%

:17:27. > :17:32.fit, if he is, a huge boost to the Welsh team. Thank you very much. The

:17:33. > :17:36.teams are on the way back out. Edinburgh, get them out on the field

:17:37. > :17:41.before crossing over to the commentary box. I will ask for a

:17:42. > :17:49.quick prediction? 10 points ahead? I think that they

:17:50. > :17:53.will. This is a back line with a lot more

:17:54. > :17:58.play in it. I think that the Scarlets will have

:17:59. > :18:01.more possession in the second half. So Edinburgh's defence will have to

:18:02. > :18:05.improve. But there are runners on that side that can pick up a loose

:18:06. > :18:09.ball and finish them off. They have been close. So it will be another

:18:10. > :18:14.tight one, I think. All to play. Ten points in it. The

:18:15. > :18:18.teams are on the pitch. We can return to the commentary box, to

:18:19. > :18:39.Phil Bennett and Gareth Giles. 13-3, the Scarlets lead. They have

:18:40. > :18:46.been theres about all season. They want to stay there in the top four.

:18:47. > :18:51.They will find out that Leinster has got maximum points. The games of

:18:52. > :18:55.Ulster and Glasgow is another to keep an eye on. All that the

:18:56. > :19:00.Scarlets can do is to carry on what they have been doing in the first

:19:01. > :19:07.half. A good take by Hamish Du Preez.

:19:08. > :19:14.Excellent defence by the Scarlets in the first half. Kept out Edinburgh,

:19:15. > :19:18.down to one penalty. A nice flick out of the back door

:19:19. > :19:39.from Greig Tonks to Tom Brown. Hamish Watson.

:19:40. > :19:49.Edinburgh keep the possession. Going Hamish Watson.

:19:50. > :19:56.through the phases, working their way downfield. But in this effective

:19:57. > :20:03.defence by the Scarlets, they are almost managing to get the ball. In

:20:04. > :20:09.the end it is DTH Van der Merwe who is amongst the forwards to give away

:20:10. > :20:12.the penalty. What worries me, Edinburgh have lots of possession.

:20:13. > :20:18.They are keeping their patience well. There must be a line break

:20:19. > :20:22.sooner or later. It is only good defence.

:20:23. > :20:25.That is unlucky on Van der Merwe. The ball was in Nathan Fowles'

:20:26. > :20:29.hands. It was clear of the breakdown.

:20:30. > :20:37.He just knocked it away. That is very unlucky.

:20:38. > :20:45.This is a vital kick. The one he missed before half-time. A vital

:20:46. > :20:47.three points. It could be 9-13. So this is a big kick for the

:20:48. > :21:09.scrum-half. No problem at all. At the beginning

:21:10. > :21:26.of the second half, Edinburgh are back.

:21:27. > :21:33.The other two games this evening started earlier. Leinster have the

:21:34. > :21:39.maximum five, they are up to 44 points.

:21:40. > :21:44.Ulster have fought back to beat Glasgow. So Ulster as well. They are

:21:45. > :21:54.on had 5. It is very tight at the top.

:21:55. > :22:01.At the moment, Connacht, 4 #5shgs Ulster 45, Leinster, 44. .

:22:02. > :22:06.Scarlets starting the evening on 40, Edinburgh on 37.

:22:07. > :22:10.And a brilliant break by Rhodri Williams.

:22:11. > :22:16.And Nathan Fowles coming back with a very important tackle. Shingler

:22:17. > :22:21.loses the ball. Immediately a half chance disappears.

:22:22. > :22:25.A great run by Rhodri Williams. He is such a live wire. I think he is

:22:26. > :22:39.off to Bristol. Scarlets will miss him. He has quick feet.

:22:40. > :22:54.That is where he is dangerous in open play. A skillful runner.

:22:55. > :23:03.Those are the half chances that in a tight game need to be nailed.

:23:04. > :23:11.But it is was very good coffer tackle from Nathan Fowles.

:23:12. > :23:16.It is a pity he is off. We lose a good youngster.

:23:17. > :23:20.Rhodri Williams his father was a very good scrum-half. With three

:23:21. > :23:29.scrum-halves, it is probably one too many.

:23:30. > :23:34.Aled Davies of course included in the Welsh squad. He has been

:23:35. > :23:37.released. He is on the bench this evening. They need a good corner man

:23:38. > :23:56.there for Rory Sutherland. Allan Dell coming off the bench.

:23:57. > :24:12.Another South African import coming on for the Edinburgh side.

:24:13. > :24:19.A big scrum for Edinburgh. Just scoring three points. They are back

:24:20. > :24:20.in the game. I'm sure that the Scarlets will want to put on the

:24:21. > :24:38.pressure. An important scrum here. The referee trialing to say before

:24:39. > :24:42.the game we had spoken about being steady but it is in through one ear,

:24:43. > :24:45.out of the other. They are not worried.

:24:46. > :24:45.Two new faces in the Edinburgh front row.

:24:46. > :25:19.Yep. Scarlets celebrating winning that

:25:20. > :25:22.penalty. Hamish Du Preez just lost patience

:25:23. > :25:26.there. George doesn't agree with it. They

:25:27. > :25:30.are both going down again. It is probably this side. It must

:25:31. > :25:45.have come from the assistant referee.

:25:46. > :25:58.35 in April, Phil Jon. A wealth of experience.

:25:59. > :26:04.Aled Tomas should come into his own. He has done well but he needs to

:26:05. > :26:09.nail this. Great kick.

:26:10. > :26:14.Thomas succeeds. That keeps Edinburgh just at bay.

:26:15. > :26:17.Just what the Scarlets wanted. Right, Phil. It was a good kick.

:26:18. > :26:37.Wide out. It's hard when you have to deliver

:26:38. > :26:59.but he ask it there. -- he did it there.

:27:00. > :27:05.Rhodri Williams indicating he is going to put the ball in the air. It

:27:06. > :27:17.didn't go out of play. Edinburgh almost caught napping.

:27:18. > :27:33.This is a little back field. Well inside the 22.

:27:34. > :27:43.This time he makes sure. That's Rory Sutherland, quickly and

:27:44. > :27:47.ready to return. They breed them tough up Melrose

:27:48. > :27:55.way. A couple of stitches will not bother him.

:27:56. > :28:01.A good young player is Sutherland. They are both small. Not big. But

:28:02. > :28:05.tremendous accountsly strong. And hopefully ball players. Guys who can

:28:06. > :28:07.carry hard. And ultimately looking for space

:28:08. > :28:32.when they are carrying. You need a better line chase than

:28:33. > :28:36.that. Good feet again from Kirby Myhill.

:28:37. > :29:08.He is taking a chance this evening, is the young hooker.

:29:09. > :29:18.Edinburgh's defence pressing. Aled Thomas loath to go over the top.

:29:19. > :29:24.Putting the pressure on Michael Collins then. I'm a bit

:29:25. > :29:30.disappointed. Edinburgh are under pressure but when the Scarlets have

:29:31. > :29:35.the ball, the main man, Regan King, he is the man makes it work and gets

:29:36. > :29:41.the space. He has not worked this evening. Regan King, a lovely long

:29:42. > :29:49.pass there but not, there it goes. That is simple passing. Kirby Myhill

:29:50. > :29:56.is playing very, very well. He is taking his chances tonight.

:29:57. > :30:00.He looked like a centre there. A balance, the show, the handle.

:30:01. > :30:04.Really comfortable on the ball. It is Kirby Myhill getting treatment.

:30:05. > :30:10.So let's go back to Phil. Thank you very much, Gareth. A

:30:11. > :30:21.council of Premiership games. The Scarlets' Derby. And then a big one

:30:22. > :30:42.Quince against Llanelli. A couple of games in the

:30:43. > :31:00.Premiership, Ebbw Vale wins against Cardiff.

:31:01. > :31:10.A good Scarlets scrum there, Gareth. That Is Mike Allen making his way up

:31:11. > :31:19.towards halfway. Damien Hoyland slips through. Still going, a great

:31:20. > :31:24.run by Damien Hoyland! That was a close-run thing it was a good run by

:31:25. > :31:28.Damien Hoyland. Good attacking player, Damien

:31:29. > :31:34.Hoyland. He played in the Seven Series. Before that a great piece of

:31:35. > :31:38.play between Sam Beard and Michael Allen.

:31:39. > :31:43.Damien Hoyland made the break there after.

:31:44. > :31:45.Two good wingers, Edinburgh, fast and sharp on their feet. They just

:31:46. > :31:52.need to get the ball more often. Not exactly what he had planned!

:31:53. > :32:14.LAUGHTER As ever, Burley is patrolling, back

:32:15. > :32:30.in the 22. When Damien Hoyland made that lovely

:32:31. > :32:38.chip over the top... Was it tripped? He said he would carry on. You do

:32:39. > :32:50.not want to incur the commentators curse.

:32:51. > :32:58.Damien Hoyland's last contribution. He is replaced by the experienced

:32:59. > :33:14.Dougie Fife. Kennedy comes on at scrum-half.

:33:15. > :33:20.Very untidy, pressure came on the Scarlet. They will be happy to just

:33:21. > :33:38.get back downfield. -- Scarlets. Fair bit of kicking, and scrappy

:33:39. > :33:52.play in the second half. Rhodri Jones. And Pete Edwards has done his

:33:53. > :33:55.work for the evening. Rhodri Jones making it seven games in a row.

:33:56. > :34:16.Departing for the Ospreys next year. Morgan Allen has had a view carries

:34:17. > :34:30.this evening. And the game's only try. Bad

:34:31. > :34:35.discipline. Ten yards for talking... Going right into the corner. The

:34:36. > :34:41.referee is not going to take no-nonsense. Calling the skipper

:34:42. > :34:42.over, listening to what he says. If he speaks to me like that one more

:34:43. > :34:58.time, is leaving the field. No-nonsense. Knock-on effect, extra

:34:59. > :35:04.ten metres. That is where discipline comes in, that is bad play. Young

:35:05. > :35:13.referee, wants to get his composure on the game full top this gives Aled

:35:14. > :35:24.Thomas a far better chance. Here he is under pressure... A wee bit

:35:25. > :35:31.harsh. No excuse at all. Morgan Allen has carried... No problem with

:35:32. > :35:48.the distance, just the accuracy. Perfectly judged. Big kick, in every

:35:49. > :35:53.sense. Never easy, a goal kick, certainly when you come into the

:35:54. > :36:00.game... Three difficult kicks, well struck. Edinburgh will be

:36:01. > :36:04.disappointed, back in the game, and then they concede two silly

:36:05. > :36:16.penalties, and all of a sudden, it is 19-6.

:36:17. > :36:30.Out to Greig Tonks. Good break. Tom Brown again? Good tackle. He is

:36:31. > :36:33.going to be a danger, they are going to have the watch out for him, they

:36:34. > :36:49.cannot fall to give him any opportunities at all.

:36:50. > :37:07.Watson, George Earle trying to hold him up.

:37:08. > :37:14.Will not be too disappointed with that. I don't know what Chris feels

:37:15. > :37:19.about it, but Edinburgh, lots of possession, good across the field,

:37:20. > :37:24.apart from Tom Brown, nobody really threatening. I would be a bit

:37:25. > :37:33.disappointed with some of the attacks. It is one thing getting the

:37:34. > :37:36.ball to the outside channels but you must stop the defenders getting

:37:37. > :37:41.there as well. Movement of the ball, to try to stop... The drawings look

:37:42. > :37:47.at those two men having a chat, referee having a chat with them.

:37:48. > :37:56.They were having a few words. Not very happy with each other.

:37:57. > :38:09.A little bit of the ball... You can see him, catching him around the

:38:10. > :38:13.next full of grabbing his neck. -- catching him around the neck.

:38:14. > :38:17.Grabbing his next white Hamish Watson was the recipient, that is

:38:18. > :38:20.the end result. Nice kick to get there, given possession away. 40, 50

:38:21. > :38:36.metres. Almost a line in the sand. They have

:38:37. > :38:41.to change the game. -- chase the game. -- grabbing his neck. Hamish

:38:42. > :38:46.Watson was the recipient. They have got to risk it, that may mean that

:38:47. > :38:50.Llanelli Scarlets get a score, but Edinburgh have got to change their

:38:51. > :38:57.tactics. They have got to play more positively in order to get that win.

:38:58. > :39:04.Only four forwards on the bench, they have really got to put in a

:39:05. > :39:07.shift. Hughes is like an extra back. They will have to dig in deep, and

:39:08. > :39:16.one of those forwards, with Rhodri Jones.

:39:17. > :39:51.The substitute is ready to come on. Ben

:39:52. > :40:01.-- Ben Toolis was on from the start, and now it is the other Toolis who

:40:02. > :40:08.is going to be coming on. He was the star the other week. One of the two

:40:09. > :40:14.men who could have played. James Ritchie. 19-year-old, coming on, for

:40:15. > :40:28.Hamish Watson. Scarlets have been first to win any

:40:29. > :40:55.kick that has been touched in flight.

:40:56. > :41:10.Edinburgh finding it hard to break down the line. Phil Burleigh has

:41:11. > :41:31.taken over the captaincy. That is better from Edinburgh.

:41:32. > :41:44.Really good support from the hooker. Setting up here on the 22. Mike

:41:45. > :41:55.Allen... A sense of urgency. Driving forward... Stabbed through. Picked

:41:56. > :42:01.off by Gareth Owen. He is the one who comes away with it. Edinburgh, I

:42:02. > :42:08.think, will be ruing knocking the ball in hand. Five metres from the

:42:09. > :42:12.line, men on the outside, if you keep all in hand, keep possession,

:42:13. > :42:19.that little chip, that was a waste of time, left the Scarlet is -- let

:42:20. > :42:22.off the Scarlets. These chips work if there is no one in the back, in

:42:23. > :42:29.the build-up, wonderful attack... Michael Allen, two or three... Look

:42:30. > :42:37.at that, George Turner, the hooker. That makes the kick all the more

:42:38. > :42:44.frustrating. They needed to keep possession and keep patients. Worked

:42:45. > :42:47.so hard to get there. A little non-chip, nothing came from it, all

:42:48. > :43:01.of that hard work has come to nothing. Big boost for the Scarlets,

:43:02. > :43:11.soon. I have been impressed with Rhodri Williams, who has come off,

:43:12. > :43:15.he has had an excellent game. Lets see what Edinburgh's Drive is like,

:43:16. > :43:27.certainly, with Ritchie standing. Could not get the drive on and the

:43:28. > :43:38.ball is beautifully picked up by George Turner. Tackle is early on

:43:39. > :43:42.Kennedy. Reaches out, I think he has got there, yes indeed, the try is a

:43:43. > :43:46.good one from Cornell du Preez, could not get the line-out drive on,

:43:47. > :43:50.but twice the number eight was involved, and crucially got over the

:43:51. > :43:56.whitewash. Powerful one, good finish from him, initially, the line-out,

:43:57. > :44:02.the shift drive, very well defended. Edinburgh kept their composure...

:44:03. > :44:10.There is Cornell du Preez, powerful man, hard man. Targeting between two

:44:11. > :44:16.defenders. Inside Phil John. He had to come, all the possession, all the

:44:17. > :44:24.territory, just cannot keep doing it like that. That is great, hard work.

:44:25. > :44:32.They have picked up the banal tempos. This man, Ritchie, they have

:44:33. > :44:36.added spark to the forwards. George John is a hooker, but he plays from

:44:37. > :44:43.the back row, so dynamic, hard tackler, good runner.

:44:44. > :44:53.Taking over the kicking duties, Greig Tonks. Bush is it to the left

:44:54. > :44:59.of the post. Scarlett is still two scores clear. Edinburgh, certainly,

:45:00. > :45:07.picked up the pace, showing their intent. Rory Pitman comes on to

:45:08. > :45:13.replace Boyd. Certainly not the traditional seven. Is another big

:45:14. > :45:24.ball-carrier, he and Morgan Allen. Couple of big ball-carrier 's.

:45:25. > :45:31.-- ball-carriers. Morgan Allen. Carried well, as we said earlier on,

:45:32. > :45:41.five yards, getting him across the line. Abandon what has had a very

:45:42. > :45:52.quiet evening. -- abandon work. -- Van Dam are worth.

:45:53. > :46:29.-- van der Merwe. Into the final quarter. And are

:46:30. > :46:37.Aled Thomas's pace on the ball and distribution is really good,

:46:38. > :46:48.bringing runners into the game. Gareth Owen... Held, let it go... It

:46:49. > :47:09.is a mess anyway. Turned over... Burley. Looking for position.

:47:10. > :47:19.Looking to keep the pressure on the Scarlets and that is just what he

:47:20. > :47:27.does. Has just left. Added that game feel, did it feel like Scarlets were

:47:28. > :47:31.in control? Yes, tight game, seems like both games are trying to play.

:47:32. > :47:42.Hopefully we can hold out now. 20 minutes remaining. How damaging was

:47:43. > :47:49.the Edinburgh scrum? They did not dominate with got some penalties

:47:50. > :47:57.ourselves. -- they did not dominate, we got some penalties ourselves.

:47:58. > :47:59.What we thought? I will take your word for it! -- -- what were your

:48:00. > :48:15.thoughts. Yet to hear a prop say that they

:48:16. > :48:21.were under pressure. What a thing to ask of a prop forward. Two fresh

:48:22. > :48:39.props on for Edinburgh. Phil Burleigh, still, Edinburgh,

:48:40. > :48:45.enjoying the possession. Now, this kick could put them back within

:48:46. > :48:49.striking distance. This would be a vital kick for them, they may go for

:48:50. > :48:58.the corner and hope for the catch and drive. He's quite a long kicker,

:48:59. > :48:59.Greig Tonks, but I would go for the corners. The pressure they have, the

:49:00. > :49:19.momentum. Showing urgency. Concede a penalty.

:49:20. > :49:29.Not moving away from the breakdown area.

:49:30. > :49:49.Moving the target... Defending it well. Taken by one Toolis and handed

:49:50. > :50:00.down to the other! Ritchie making something on his own. Calling for

:50:01. > :50:06.the heavy artillery around him for the then tool is leading the way.

:50:07. > :50:17.Even though George Turner was there, for the walkover, I think... You to

:50:18. > :50:29.chance gone begging. Defending the driving maul, but the big fellas

:50:30. > :50:37.need to take those passes. George Turner was round the corner... Just

:50:38. > :50:43.off the bench, tighthead, you want your handle the ball, five metres

:50:44. > :50:49.out. Tipping the scales at just over 20 stone, he will take some stopping

:50:50. > :50:54.from a couple of metres out! This is an opportunity for Edinburgh. Good

:50:55. > :51:00.pressure. Sometimes the momentum sinks a little bit. Scarlets feeling

:51:01. > :51:08.good about themselves. Edinburgh should really attack the scrum.

:51:09. > :51:13.Looking for a solid scrum, looking for Morgan Allen to make a

:51:14. > :51:16.difference. Concentration you, because Edinburgh have done well on

:51:17. > :51:39.occasions. Solid scrum from Scarlet 's. -- Scarlets.

:51:40. > :51:52.Probable you meant he was on top while he was on! -- probably meant.

:51:53. > :51:56.Straight in front of the posts. All of the years I have played rugby and

:51:57. > :52:00.watched rugby, the referee would give a scrum there, who the heck

:52:01. > :52:08.knows what is going on, only the tall ones, the six foot four

:52:09. > :52:12.forwards. You are right, given for collapsing, wasn't it. We have the

:52:13. > :52:27.benefit of a replay. Edinburgh do have a dominant scrum.

:52:28. > :52:31.It would not be the worst idea in the world to take another one. But

:52:32. > :52:39.because of the unknown outcome... This I did not do roll like that.

:52:40. > :52:42.Greig Tonks succeeds and slowly but surely, Edinburgh fighting their way

:52:43. > :52:49.back into this one, momentum is with them. Less than 15 minutes

:52:50. > :52:54.remaining. They need a firework, Scarlets, something to spark them,

:52:55. > :53:01.both team and ground have gone quiet, I would like to see this gets

:53:02. > :53:06.up, Scarlets forwards chasing. Edinburgh showing the urgency at the

:53:07. > :53:12.moment. Not Scarlets. All the time in the world to put this back. You

:53:13. > :53:19.certainly feel that Scarlets are looking to hang on. But there is so

:53:20. > :53:29.much time left. Thomas put the penalty over. Looking fairly

:53:30. > :53:38.comfortably. -- comfortable. Two of the four forwards on the bench have

:53:39. > :53:40.been used. Half-backs changed. They've is getting his hand on the

:53:41. > :54:18.ball. -- Davis. Van der Merwe. -- Pitman. Straight running... Going

:54:19. > :54:51.down field. Good kick swirling back. Take and

:54:52. > :54:57.give. Burley sends them back down field. Scholars will be happy to see

:54:58. > :55:05.that go dead. Alan Thomas very well played. Cool under pressure from

:55:06. > :55:09.Dougie Fife. He knew what he was doing, wanted to get out from under

:55:10. > :55:16.the dead ball, while the ball was still moving. That could be a game

:55:17. > :55:22.changers, lots of space... It has gone dead. Way back down side, five

:55:23. > :55:26.metres inside the other half, controlled here, very calm. He knew

:55:27. > :55:39.that somebody would be flying down...

:55:40. > :55:59.Edinburgh going through the bench. Justyn Warner placement they haven't

:56:00. > :56:10.used. Desperate for a victory. Looking to put the ball into the

:56:11. > :56:15.corner. The nearly Scarlet 's only lost one of their last eight league

:56:16. > :56:23.games... Against Ospreys, on Boxing Day.

:56:24. > :56:33.Try to keep a bit more space. Looking for somebody bit like Davis

:56:34. > :56:35.to take control. He has experience. Looking to wrap up the game. Then

:56:36. > :56:52.come right back into the game. With the scrums in the centre of

:56:53. > :57:01.midfield, both... Covering it... Could be a yellow card, or a severe

:57:02. > :57:09.warning. Certainly not happy with the way that Rhodri Jones is

:57:10. > :57:14.scrimmaging. Word is that he would like to be a loose end. Certainly

:57:15. > :57:24.having problems here this evening. Thompson near the 22. Not sure how

:57:25. > :57:33.Pete Edwards's engine was, ruing the decision to take him off, perhaps.

:57:34. > :57:37.Is a great prospect, Rhodri transforming him into a tight head

:57:38. > :57:39.prop. I am no expert, I cannot say, but apparently he would rather play

:57:40. > :57:59.at the loosehead. Dougie Fife has moved into the 13

:58:00. > :58:05.shirt. One or two changes. Good impact, last 20 minutes or so. Man

:58:06. > :58:17.of the match in the under 20s last weekend. That is a real let off for

:58:18. > :58:27.Llanelli Scarlets. Not done yet. Still has not cleared. Thomas had

:58:28. > :58:32.more time than he realised. As it is, Michael Collins is under immense

:58:33. > :58:36.pressure. Now, scrambling to get the ball away, from just a couple of

:58:37. > :58:46.metres from the try line. After kicking the ball from outside the

:58:47. > :58:56.22. As exit strategies go, not the best. Half charge down again. DTH

:58:57. > :58:59.van der Merwe. They are really making life difficult for

:59:00. > :59:06.themselves, Scarlets. Showing a lack of composure. Look at this, kick

:59:07. > :59:10.charged down... Look at how much time Thomas had, all the time in the

:59:11. > :59:15.world to turn around and put it safe, instead he puts his foot back

:59:16. > :59:19.into trouble. Severe lack of composure, shown by Scarlets. What a

:59:20. > :59:30.position here. Another good position. Putting your body on the

:59:31. > :59:41.line. Toolis Wins the line, alarm bells ringing. Cornell du Preez, he

:59:42. > :59:48.got the try a few minutes ago. Turner... He has been lively. After

:59:49. > :59:51.being ahead so long, they do not want to give it away in the final

:59:52. > :00:00.seven or eight minutes. Edinburgh are only one try a drift, as Turner

:00:01. > :00:11.has another go. Kennedy... Davies gets the tackle.

:00:12. > :00:24.Forwards looking to do it initially. A levy slip past. If they keep

:00:25. > :00:31.moving wide, there are men spare. That is Sam Beard.

:00:32. > :00:41.Massive pressure and over the top it goes and it is Alex Toolis who gets

:00:42. > :00:46.the try that puts Edinburgh back on level terms. The pressure proving

:00:47. > :00:50.too great in the end and two tries in quick succession for Edinburgh

:00:51. > :00:58.have drawn them level with a conversion to come. Edinburgh have

:00:59. > :01:02.stepped up the pace. Nine phases here, under control, understanding

:01:03. > :01:15.with the spaces. That is a wonderful pass from Cornel Dupre. Out of the

:01:16. > :01:18.back of the hand. They deserve this. They have shown enterprise. It is

:01:19. > :01:26.great to see a forward showing those skills. Taking two defenders out of

:01:27. > :01:31.the game. Edinburgh wanted it more than the Scarlets. What a vital

:01:32. > :01:37.conversion this is. No wonder there are some dejected faces on the

:01:38. > :01:41.Scarlets' bench. They have led the game for 73 minutes but now this

:01:42. > :01:49.kick could turn all that around in Edinburgh's favour. Not an easy one

:01:50. > :01:53.though. From the touchline. A level you strike and it curls inside the

:01:54. > :02:01.post. Greig Tonks puts Edinburgh ahead with just five and a half

:02:02. > :02:06.minutes remaining. What a kick under pressure. It looked as if it was

:02:07. > :02:09.going to stay outside but it just creeps inside the post. A wonderful

:02:10. > :02:23.effort. Dylan Evans and Ryan Elias on the

:02:24. > :02:24.field. The Scarlets need something special now in the final five

:02:25. > :02:40.minutes. Phil Steele is with Garan Evans. He

:02:41. > :02:44.is very busy at the moment. The two replacements who have just come on,

:02:45. > :02:50.one was an injury but one was for more energy. He said they need more

:02:51. > :02:57.energy in this final five minutes. Energy is the word. Energy and

:02:58. > :03:04.opportunity. One opportunity is what they need to try and get Aled Thomas

:03:05. > :03:08.within range. There is Aled Thomas to Hadleigh Parkes, now the skipper,

:03:09. > :03:13.and he really had to galvanise them in these final stages. King.

:03:14. > :03:26.Offside given. That is the three points. That has immediately given

:03:27. > :03:33.the Scarlets a lifeline. That was a big decision. The Scarlets will be

:03:34. > :03:40.glad of that. 16 white, he is saying. The hooker. It was Craig

:03:41. > :03:52.Evans from the assistant who called it. Usually, if there is one person

:03:53. > :03:56.offside, you stick out in the line. Look for him in the scrum cap. I

:03:57. > :04:06.think that is harsh, to be honest with you. Usually, if you are

:04:07. > :04:14.offside blatantly, you stick out. He is disappointed with that. The

:04:15. > :04:19.biggest kick of the season for the Scarlets so far. A pressure kick for

:04:20. > :04:29.Aled Thomas. He has succeeded with three so far. And that is the most

:04:30. > :04:33.important of the lot because it puts the Scarlets back ahead. Now they

:04:34. > :04:42.have got three minutes to hang onto one-point lead. We said earlier on

:04:43. > :04:46.how good a gold digger he was. Coming off the bench and slotting

:04:47. > :04:51.three, that was the important one, and Aled Thomas has done it again.

:04:52. > :04:59.He stroked it over. No news whatsoever. Good temperament shown

:05:00. > :05:03.by Alice Thomas. Temperament, technique, he had what he needed for

:05:04. > :05:18.the big kick. Morgan Allen leads the charge again.

:05:19. > :05:35.Laid-back by Rory Pitman. This time the clearance kick is good. It is up

:05:36. > :05:40.to halfway. Du Preez. Edinburgh have had a real sense of urgency in this

:05:41. > :05:46.final quarter. They have at the tempo and the stakes. They have got

:05:47. > :05:51.themselves ahead. The Scarlets smack back through Aled Thomas. Now with

:05:52. > :06:01.their defence needs to be as good as it was in the first half.

:06:02. > :06:10.Sam Beard had time on the ball. The Scarlets are with a want to be now,

:06:11. > :06:15.down in Edinburgh's half. Just a minute and a half to go. Edinburgh

:06:16. > :06:19.have got to attack from deep. Du Preez keeps the ball alive but Tonks

:06:20. > :06:40.is under pressure from Aled Davies. Du Preez. He has been very prominent

:06:41. > :06:45.in the latter stages, has the Port Elizabeth born Edinburgh number

:06:46. > :06:47.eight. And the Scarlets now within touching distance of a very, very

:06:48. > :07:07.important victory. But they have not given up yet,

:07:08. > :07:21.Edinburgh. Alan Bell leads the way. Still in their own half. Danger.

:07:22. > :07:28.Have they created in space? No. The Scarlets' cover defence is there.

:07:29. > :07:36.The game is almost over. Your choice for Man of the Match? Not many

:07:37. > :07:40.candidates. I like Du Preez for Edinburgh, Tom Brown for pace, but I

:07:41. > :07:45.will go for the Scarlets' Morgan Allen. He scored the try and carried

:07:46. > :07:51.the ball superbly this evening. Morgan Allen is Man of the Match. He

:07:52. > :07:58.got that try for the Scarlets in the sixth minute and that seems an awful

:07:59. > :08:02.long time ago now. But he has carried his share, carried almost

:08:03. > :08:07.100 metres this evening and deserves that Man of the Match as the Scala

:08:08. > :08:14.-- Scarlets looked to have done just enough for the victory. Three

:08:15. > :08:21.defeats in the last four in the league for the Scarlets. By the skin

:08:22. > :08:25.of their teeth, they looked to have done it. Just enough to get that

:08:26. > :08:32.all-important victory. They only need to get the ball off the park.

:08:33. > :08:38.Aled Davies is ready to do the second if he gets his hands to it

:08:39. > :08:43.and that is just what he does. And the Scarlets mighty close in the

:08:44. > :08:48.end. It looked comfortable at one stage. Edinburgh fought back but the

:08:49. > :08:51.Scarlets have done just enough to get a very important victory and

:08:52. > :09:00.keep them in the hunt for a top four place. It was very nervous stuff in

:09:01. > :09:07.the end. Edge of the seat stuff. Two tries from Edinburgh late on. That

:09:08. > :09:11.threatened to turn things around. A superb touchline conversion from

:09:12. > :09:16.Greig Tonks turned it their way but then Aled Thomas kept his nerve when

:09:17. > :09:21.he needed to and Hadleigh Parkes celebrating victory as the Scarlets

:09:22. > :09:27.skipper. A one-point victory but that one-point will be just enough

:09:28. > :09:34.to secure the 10th win in 14 games for the Scarlets. The sigh of relief

:09:35. > :09:40.from Aled Thomas. He held his nerve to put over the fourth penalty and

:09:41. > :09:48.the Scarlets have snuck home by the narrowest of margins thanks to the

:09:49. > :09:52.early try by Morgan Allen. He is the Man of the Match and after the 22-21

:09:53. > :10:05.victory for the Scarlets, Morgan Allen joins Phil Steele.

:10:06. > :10:12.Morgan, that was a game you have to win twice really. We went in at

:10:13. > :10:17.half-time in quite a comfortable position, we had 25 minutes in the

:10:18. > :10:22.second half, but the boys died in, showed some spirit, defended well

:10:23. > :10:27.and came back for the win. I think it was a lack of concentration.

:10:28. > :10:32.Something we will look at next week and put it right for Ulster away.

:10:33. > :10:38.You carried a hundred metres. It felt like more, to be fair. I was

:10:39. > :10:43.pretty tired. When you come back to win a game for the second time, what

:10:44. > :10:47.does that do for the confidence of a side, particularly in the run-in? It

:10:48. > :10:53.helps a massive amount because it shows the boys are willing to work

:10:54. > :11:03.for each other. Not just 60 minutes but for 80 minutes. Well done.

:11:04. > :11:10.It really was the proverbial game of two halves tonight. The Scarlets

:11:11. > :11:14.started very strongly. Morgan Allen going over for an early try have to

:11:15. > :11:20.just six minutes. They work of the bully in the lead at half-time by

:11:21. > :11:25.ten points and they look to be coasting at 19-6, but then a late

:11:26. > :11:29.flurry from Edinburgh. Two tries from Edinburgh. Du Preez the scorer

:11:30. > :11:35.of the first and the creator of the second for Toolis. But Aled Thomas

:11:36. > :11:42.with a last-gasp penalty. That is the final winning margin. Look how

:11:43. > :11:49.tight the top four is. One point separating for teams. Ulster and

:11:50. > :11:55.Connacht first and second on 45, Leinster and the Scarlets on 44. We

:11:56. > :11:58.had Morgan Allen say there was a bit of a lack of concentration from the

:11:59. > :12:03.Scarlets in the second half but Edinburgh played all the rugby in

:12:04. > :12:06.the last quarter. Credit to them. Both teams would have gone in at

:12:07. > :12:12.half-time and assess what had happened. The Scarlets would have

:12:13. > :12:16.known Edinburgh would be more aggressive defensively. They came

:12:17. > :12:21.out to defend a lead rather than come out to pull away. They

:12:22. > :12:25.definitely have the capability to score tries, it just felt like the

:12:26. > :12:30.second half, the team that came out was a completely different team. The

:12:31. > :12:34.coaches will go away and have a lot of things they will want to say

:12:35. > :12:40.about that second half. They played for five minutes in the second half.

:12:41. > :12:44.We can hear exactly what the coach is thinking right now because Wayne

:12:45. > :12:51.Pivac is with Phil. You only play for five minutes in the second half.

:12:52. > :12:59.Is that fair? It felt like that. I thought we had done enough at 19-6.

:13:00. > :13:03.We are happy to win, obviously, but there are too many games where we

:13:04. > :13:10.are winning in the last minute. Any reason? A couple of scrum penalties,

:13:11. > :13:15.that set us back and we lost a bit of momentum. But it was a bigger

:13:16. > :13:19.movement from the Connacht game so we will look at the positives and

:13:20. > :13:23.keep moving forward. The other things the boys in commentary said,

:13:24. > :13:31.bringing Peter Edwards off. What was that? They started to pick on him

:13:32. > :13:38.defensively and he was tiring. He put in a good shift but he was

:13:39. > :13:43.getting exposed. Fair comment. What were the positives? Coming back to

:13:44. > :13:49.win the game twice? In the first half in particular, in terms of

:13:50. > :13:53.turnovers, our line speed was a lot better and working for each other.

:13:54. > :14:00.They were sent good solid efforts there. We were in pretty good shape

:14:01. > :14:05.at 13-3. When you have come back from the dead to win again, what

:14:06. > :14:09.does that do for confidence? First and foremost it is important to get

:14:10. > :14:15.the win. It keeps us alive in the top four. I think a loss would have

:14:16. > :14:19.pushed this down to fifth or sixth. It is important to stay in the top

:14:20. > :14:23.group. We will take some confidence out of that and look forward to next

:14:24. > :14:28.week. Chris, if you had offered Edinburgh

:14:29. > :14:32.a losing bonus point before that game, chances are they would have

:14:33. > :14:36.taken it, but given the context of what happened, they will be

:14:37. > :14:43.devastated. I am not sure they would have taken it. They are very good

:14:44. > :14:47.defensively. I was really proud of how Edinburgh turned it around in

:14:48. > :14:55.the second half. They did not start the second half but Italy well. At

:14:56. > :15:00.that point, there was a decision to be made, either go and win the game

:15:01. > :15:07.or except what we were doing. There really was an increase in tempo. The

:15:08. > :15:13.tempo and attitude they brought at the end, scoring two late tries, if

:15:14. > :15:18.you let any side get a 19 point lead, you are going to claw that

:15:19. > :15:22.back. They were up against it at that point. Phil Davies has been

:15:23. > :15:28.looking more closely at what Edinburgh did to turn things around.

:15:29. > :15:34.They decided to play a bit of rugby, as Chris said, and it started for me

:15:35. > :15:38.with a bit of purpose. They are moving the ball from the middle of

:15:39. > :15:43.the field, a great bit of skill coming up out of the back door, a

:15:44. > :15:48.great ball to the winger Tom Brown. They go back to the middle, back to

:15:49. > :15:51.the right-hand side, good powerful running and a bit of a line break

:15:52. > :15:54.and they are going forward quite nicely. They just keep the pressure

:15:55. > :16:04.on, they go forward, hard, they keep the ball well and

:16:05. > :16:08.then they get a penalty try. It was a good start by Edinburgh. That was

:16:09. > :16:12.beautifully described, unfortunately we could not see the pictures but it

:16:13. > :16:19.was almost poetry so we understood what you were talking about. Tennis

:16:20. > :16:23.more about the mindset. Obviously the messages at half-time Sundin and

:16:24. > :16:27.they came out a team transformed. Hopefully we can see them this time,

:16:28. > :16:34.some of the line breaks they made. They were fantastic. They should be

:16:35. > :16:39.coming up now. They are attacking, they are off-loading, they are

:16:40. > :16:42.moving forward with the ball. They are keeping the pressure on the

:16:43. > :16:52.Scarlets and they score a couple of good tries. They got themselves back

:16:53. > :16:58.in the game. That was a great try. And the pressure is still coming on

:16:59. > :17:07.by the Edinburgh team. They score a nice try, they have got plenty of

:17:08. > :17:14.numbers. In the corner they go. They continued that through the second

:17:15. > :17:20.half. We were watching it from here and we talked at the top of the half

:17:21. > :17:24.about how strangely Edinburgh seemed lethargic -- the Scarlets seemed

:17:25. > :17:29.lethargic. They were happy to defend. But at the very end when

:17:30. > :17:34.they went down with that touchline conversion, they suddenly seemed

:17:35. > :17:39.like a team alive again. Why did it take them to go behind? Sometimes

:17:40. > :17:47.you need to gather behind the post, you can group together. You are in a

:17:48. > :17:52.difficult place. It must be so frustrating as a coach to see your

:17:53. > :17:57.team go behind on 75 minutes and yet, all of a sudden, see them come

:17:58. > :18:02.to life, get one opportunity in the half, and sneak the game. I think

:18:03. > :18:07.you can look at some good leadership from the Scarlets, the fact they got

:18:08. > :18:11.behind the posts and got together. But at this level, you expect a team

:18:12. > :18:16.to come out and not defend their lead. The capabilities they have,

:18:17. > :18:20.the conditions, they could have come out and played more rugby. And when

:18:21. > :18:25.they needed to, the frustrating thing is, they took the points. I

:18:26. > :18:31.think we can have a look at that now. It was the restart after the

:18:32. > :18:35.touchline conversion being scored. You can see from the intensity they

:18:36. > :18:40.mean business. The energy was different. They know they have

:18:41. > :18:46.something to do, they have a goal, a target. Everybody suddenly want the

:18:47. > :18:51.ball and nobody wants to defend, nobody wants to be passive. They

:18:52. > :18:58.want to get over the gain line. When you are that aggressive you can

:18:59. > :19:04.force penalties. I think Alan Solomons has spoken to Phil Steele

:19:05. > :19:08.in the post-match interview. I think there were a few bars at the referee

:19:09. > :19:14.and when Chris Paterson came back to the studio, that last penalty was a

:19:15. > :19:19.contentious one. Do you think Edinburgh are justified in feeling

:19:20. > :19:27.hard done by. He was not ahead of the line, really. There was a decent

:19:28. > :19:31.sector. Usually, if it is an obvious penalty, a multicoloured scrum cap,

:19:32. > :19:42.he would be way ahead. But you go back to being 19-6 down, these

:19:43. > :19:48.points can ultimately win the game. But don't allow a team such a big

:19:49. > :19:53.lead. But on the positive side, when the team is attacking, if there is a

:19:54. > :19:57.contentious decision, the referee is going to go with the intent to play

:19:58. > :20:01.and attack. The mindset of the Scarlets almost won them the

:20:02. > :20:06.penalty. We can hear now from Alan Solomons. Bad luck on the defeat but

:20:07. > :20:10.how proud were you of the second-half comeback? I thought in

:20:11. > :20:15.the second half we played tremendously. The last penalty, when

:20:16. > :20:22.I looked on the television, there was no offside. I think it is time

:20:23. > :20:25.in this competition we have three neutral officials. Can you elaborate

:20:26. > :20:30.on that. I don't think he was offside. That is disappointing

:20:31. > :20:34.because I thought we did enough in the second half to deserve to win

:20:35. > :20:40.the game. What did you put your comeback down? We made too many

:20:41. > :20:43.errors in the first half. All their points came through our errors and

:20:44. > :20:49.we missed one or two opportunities because of mistakes. In the second

:20:50. > :20:52.half we improve that, we got back into the game, and it is

:20:53. > :20:59.disappointing to lose like that. Will you make an approach to the

:21:00. > :21:06.referee or to the league? I will work through the referee manager.

:21:07. > :21:12.What about the rest of the season? You did get a losing bonus point.

:21:13. > :21:17.They all count at this stage. They do, but we are disappointed not to

:21:18. > :21:22.get the win. That game was ours and, I think, deservedly so. Thank you

:21:23. > :21:29.for your time. Where does this leave Edinburgh now? The Scarlets are

:21:30. > :21:37.still in the top four. Do Edinburgh still looked like a team that can

:21:38. > :21:42.challenge? I think so. Glasgow have two games in hand, the Scarlets one

:21:43. > :21:50.tonight and dropped a place in the league. That is how close it is. The

:21:51. > :21:54.Edinburgh office. The defence is so strong, they can set a foundation.

:21:55. > :22:00.With Duncan Hodge coming in as assistant coach as well, you can see

:22:01. > :22:06.a shift more to attacking lovely -- rugby. As the weather improves, the

:22:07. > :22:13.pitches dry up, we can see Michael Allen, Sam Beard, Tom Brown, causing

:22:14. > :22:18.problems. They are in a position to challenge the top four. Let's hear

:22:19. > :22:21.from Phil Bennett. You watched that one from the commentary point and it

:22:22. > :22:25.was tense at times and there was a point when we thought the Scarlets

:22:26. > :22:31.work is doubly in the league but they almost lost that game. They are

:22:32. > :22:35.still in the top four and with a third of the season left, on course

:22:36. > :22:41.for a play-off place. They battled hard. I don't think it was their

:22:42. > :22:45.finest performance. There was no enterprise at times, they panicked

:22:46. > :22:50.on occasions, but as long as you get the win, that is all that matters.

:22:51. > :22:54.Edinburgh were excellent in the second half, Tom Brown was good,

:22:55. > :22:59.Morgan Allen was outstanding for the Scarlets. But at the end of the day,

:23:00. > :23:06.they take the victory and they are still in the top four. We will talk

:23:07. > :23:10.in a little while about the big-game tomorrow but here is a quick

:23:11. > :23:11.reminder of how you can watch that and what other rugby is coming your

:23:12. > :23:30.way. Jonathan Davies slips the tackle and

:23:31. > :23:31.might be that right? Wales go again and Taulupe Faletau

:23:32. > :24:02.goes with it and scores! Big weekend ahead. Warren Gatland

:24:03. > :24:07.has been Wales coach since 2008 and in that time he has never lost to

:24:08. > :24:12.Scotland. As he told the press this week, he is taking nothing for

:24:13. > :24:15.granted. You can't rest on your role -- laurels in having that record and

:24:16. > :24:20.we would like to continue it for as long as we can. As a side, they

:24:21. > :24:27.don't look too far-away and I think one of the things you come in with a

:24:28. > :24:32.new team is that, and it looks like Vern Cotter has done this, you

:24:33. > :24:36.concentrate on playing rugby, you concentrate on being a test team to

:24:37. > :24:41.beat and they are at the moment. And then you get the bounce of the ball,

:24:42. > :24:44.a couple of decisions, a couple of lucky things and you start winning

:24:45. > :24:48.games. I don't think Scotland are too far away. There seems to be a

:24:49. > :24:54.lot of confidence coming out of their camp and there was a lot of

:24:55. > :24:58.confidence before last week's game. Even though they lost, I don't think

:24:59. > :25:04.that it would have dented their enthusiasm or confidence.

:25:05. > :25:08.Chris, there has been a lot of positivity and optimism surrounding

:25:09. > :25:12.Scottish lovely -- rugby, coming within a whisker of a semifinal at

:25:13. > :25:21.the World Cup. But their Six Nations record, they have now lost eight in

:25:22. > :25:27.a row. Where are Scotland at? I think in Scotland we are guilty, as

:25:28. > :25:31.is everyone, of being way of their way down there. I think we are

:25:32. > :25:35.somewhere in between. We have got a great coaching staff, a good set of

:25:36. > :25:40.individuals, but at the World Cup, it was close but we were four

:25:41. > :25:46.minutes away from being beaten by Samoa in the group stages. Whereas,

:25:47. > :25:51.last week, we were not as bad as some people are making out. We have

:25:52. > :25:55.got good players, good individuals, but we need to be more consistent. I

:25:56. > :26:02.would like to see us change the way we play a little bit more and open

:26:03. > :26:06.up. At the moment we have lost the first game ten years in a row in the

:26:07. > :26:12.Six Nations. We have not won in Cardiff since 2002. It is great to

:26:13. > :26:16.hear Greig Laidlaw to say they have got a few things about this leave.

:26:17. > :26:20.Hopefully they will quicken the temple. But Wales are such a

:26:21. > :26:25.physical team, it is going to be such a big ask. Even though we have

:26:26. > :26:29.had talk of playing a more expansive game and looking to go wide,

:26:30. > :26:35.presumably they will know against Scotland, power is probably the

:26:36. > :26:38.route to success. We are a really powerful side, we are successful

:26:39. > :26:43.side and I believe we are skilful side. It is just at the moment what

:26:44. > :26:48.is good for us and what would for us is the power game. I believe

:26:49. > :26:52.Scotland will have to come and bring something different because they

:26:53. > :26:56.want out power is. It takes two teams to play rugby and I think if

:26:57. > :27:00.the Scotland team come with an understanding to try and play

:27:01. > :27:04.outside 13 or play wide and expansive, Wales can also do that

:27:05. > :27:10.and I think if they come with it, Wales will match them and I think we

:27:11. > :27:14.will see the best of Wales. The attacking ability. A quiz question

:27:15. > :27:23.for you, the last time Scotland beat Wales was 2007. Who scored all their

:27:24. > :27:27.points that day? You tell me. It was Chris Paterson. You are too modest.

:27:28. > :27:38.It must bring back all kinds of fond memories. Your 100th cap. It was

:27:39. > :27:43.such an incredible day. The game was set up, Shane Williams' last-minute

:27:44. > :27:52.try in overtime to win it. We led from start to finish, almost. It was

:27:53. > :27:59.my 100th cap. I love playing in Cardiff. But I ended up in Accident

:28:00. > :28:03.and Emergency with a fairly bad injury and I have never watched the

:28:04. > :28:09.game back. It is too painful. I have heard all the stories. There have

:28:10. > :28:13.been some great Wales against Scotland clashes because Scotland

:28:14. > :28:19.are skilful team. They have a great skill set and I think Wales buy into

:28:20. > :28:24.that as well. Predictions? I thought Wales would win the championship.

:28:25. > :28:29.They were my tip last week. I still think they will do that because of

:28:30. > :28:32.the physicality. I was at Twickenham for the World Cup quarterfinal

:28:33. > :28:36.between South Africa and Wales and I have never seen any team deal with

:28:37. > :28:46.the South African's physicality like that. Scotland will need some of

:28:47. > :28:51.that tomorrow. One word. Wales. As the boys have said, there have been

:28:52. > :28:55.some ethics between these two teams and perhaps none more so than the

:28:56. > :29:01.2010 game. It was the day Chris Paterson won his 100th cap but it

:29:02. > :29:04.ended in defeat for the Scots. It was an enormously dramatic

:29:05. > :29:11.encounter. Shane Williams went over in the 82nd minute. Look away now

:29:12. > :29:13.Chris. If tomorrow's game is anyway as near as good as this, it will be

:29:14. > :29:27.an absolute belter. They have got to go wide. Leigh

:29:28. > :29:36.Halfpenny with the chase. Leigh Halfpenny! Five metres short. It is

:29:37. > :29:42.there to be claimed by Wales. They have just got to keep their

:29:43. > :29:49.composure now. Taken on by Alun Wyn Jones. They are lining up outside.

:29:50. > :30:00.Bradley Davies infield. Shane Williams! And Shane Williams has won

:30:01. > :30:02.the most dramatic game in this Six Nations, perhaps in any Six Nations.

:30:03. > :30:43.What I'm raising my game

:30:44. > :30:53.and I WILL come out on top. Bring it on. Bring it on.

:30:54. > :31:00.Bring it on. This time, we're aiming higher

:31:01. > :31:05.than ever before.
