:00:19. > :00:24.This Friday, all eyes will be on the Millennium Stadium from when
:00:25. > :00:29.unbeaten France come to town. Should Warren Gatland stick or twist? Keep
:00:30. > :00:35.the faith, or ring the changes? The Pro12 is back. They are going for
:00:36. > :00:42.the corner, could he sliding? Creating the gap, Jonathan Spratt
:00:43. > :00:46.for the line. A confident try, and they will get the try as well. The
:00:47. > :00:51.chief is not happy. There are leaders within the room, whether
:00:52. > :00:55.they are natural leaders or not, I don't know. And we travel to
:00:56. > :01:04.Clermont to meet the man they call the cheetah.
:01:05. > :01:10.Good evening and welcome to Scrum V. Just five days to go now until the
:01:11. > :01:14.game that could define Wales' season. There is plenty to talk
:01:15. > :01:18.about. Jonathan Rob and Kingsley are here to answer tough questions. We
:01:19. > :01:27.start with the Pro12 and the Blues versus Glasgow.
:01:28. > :01:34.Glasgow arrived in Cardiff with remarkable away record of Blade six,
:01:35. > :01:37.won six in Pro12 this season. But the Blues would have fancied their
:01:38. > :01:42.chances having done the double over them in Europe and they let Sam
:01:43. > :01:51.Warburton and Gethin Jenkins back in the starting line.
:01:52. > :01:57.There is a penalty coming the Blues' way. This time they will go
:01:58. > :02:03.for the posts. Quick hands could have worked spent.
:02:04. > :02:36.Still on. He is trying to fend off defenders.
:02:37. > :02:42.He picks up the pieces! Robbie Copeland, not the way the Blues had
:02:43. > :02:44.meant it but they will take it all the same. The first try of the
:02:45. > :03:03.evening goes to Robin Copeland. Lee Jones makes another tackle. He
:03:04. > :03:05.gets over and after holding out initially, the Blues give away the
:03:06. > :03:15.softest of tries. Straight through the gap, Robin
:03:16. > :03:27.Copeland! He did all the hard work. What a
:03:28. > :03:30.great break by Robin Copeland, messed up at the end of it but the
:03:31. > :03:33.Blues are still hunting for the try. It was there on a plate. Did all the
:03:34. > :03:58.hard work. He keeps it alive, can he control
:03:59. > :04:07.it? He needs support. Cook lives. -- Cook lives.
:04:08. > :04:15.He claims the try. The referee can't see. It will go to the TMO. What
:04:16. > :04:22.happened here? How did the ball go loose? Is that forward, or back?
:04:23. > :04:26.That is a borderline one. The try is going to be given. The ball did not
:04:27. > :04:33.go forward. Glasgow cannot believe it. Robin Copeland, as the Blues
:04:34. > :04:39.looked to get out of their own half, where they have spent most of this
:04:40. > :04:42.second period. With a standing start, she was going to be in
:04:43. > :04:48.trouble with that click. He needs to drop back further or use his left
:04:49. > :04:53.foot. Offside, advantage being played with Glasgow still in
:04:54. > :04:58.possession on the Blues' 22. Josh Strauss arrives, giving them more
:04:59. > :05:02.impetus. It is a kick to nothing, the penalty is being played. The
:05:03. > :05:07.advantage was not over and they will come back. Finn Russell steps up.
:05:08. > :05:27.He's just brought down by Dan Fish. Not helped, back up again and the
:05:28. > :05:32.alarm bells are ringing in the Blues' defence as Johnny Gray and
:05:33. > :05:37.Josh Strauss joined forces to continue. Five metres short of the
:05:38. > :05:52.Blues' try-line. Cusiter is calling for forwards to
:05:53. > :05:57.come round. The referee has a close look, but no, it is held up and the
:05:58. > :06:03.tie has not come and buy the skin of their teeth the Blues survive. A
:06:04. > :06:12.great scrum. The referee is going to give a penalty anyway. Picked up by
:06:13. > :06:16.Mark Bennett. Solid defence. Bennett twists and turns and makes it
:06:17. > :06:25.available to Cusiter. James Eddie ploughs over. That new Glasgow front
:06:26. > :06:34.row has made its mark. There is the ball against the heads.
:06:35. > :06:40.Strauss almost makes it to the try-line and there is a penalty
:06:41. > :06:44.coming. That will do for Glasgow. They will get the try as well! They
:06:45. > :06:49.don't need to bother with the kick because Mark Bennett has got the try
:06:50. > :06:54.that, surely, is the killer blow. It is frustration from our point of
:06:55. > :07:02.view. We are still, we have young guys there and it doesn't deliver at
:07:03. > :07:07.times. I am very frustrated. It doesn't make any sense. We can't
:07:08. > :07:13.depend on the Welsh players to kind of steerage through games.
:07:14. > :07:18.There are leaders within the room, whether they are natural leaders or
:07:19. > :07:22.not, I don't know, but we need people to stand up and be counted
:07:23. > :07:27.and tonight was not acceptable. We played well enough in the first half
:07:28. > :07:31.and talked about what we were trying to achieve in the second half and we
:07:32. > :07:37.did not carry it out. It is not acceptable as far as we are
:07:38. > :07:40.concerned. Especially for the supporters and the jersey in
:07:41. > :07:46.general. The result like that is about integrity and it becomes
:07:47. > :07:50.personal. We can't keep doing this. Frustrated Phil Davies, an angry
:07:51. > :07:55.Dale McIntosh there. Furious at the supposedly of leadership on the
:07:56. > :07:59.pitch. Was his anger justified? I just think they are frustrated, it
:08:00. > :08:02.is a game they should have won. They got into a position where they were
:08:03. > :08:07.quite comfortable and they were falling off tackles, which allowed
:08:08. > :08:10.Glasgow back in the game and then it is game management as well, putting
:08:11. > :08:14.yourself in a position of May be kicking in the last couple of
:08:15. > :08:19.minutes and throwing the game away. It is very frustrating. You come to
:08:20. > :08:22.Glasgow, they come to Arms Park and they should have been beaten and I
:08:23. > :08:29.think that is even more frustrating. It is a game that the
:08:30. > :08:36.Blues should have won and it must be desperately frustrating for them.
:08:37. > :08:42.The scrum in the last minute against the head, the penalty, is just
:08:43. > :08:45.falling off target and I am sure it is something you can't coach, you
:08:46. > :08:50.can't coach game management and those are the two things, the
:08:51. > :08:54.leadership thing, yes, whereas getting Andrew Robertson, the Welsh
:08:55. > :08:58.captains, but they are under instructions to come off at certain
:08:59. > :09:04.times as well -- Gethin and Sam Warburton. It might have made a
:09:05. > :09:09.difference had they stayed on to, do you think? I think it would have.
:09:10. > :09:12.They were under orders to get them off after 45 minutes, but you are
:09:13. > :09:17.talking about two guys who don't just lead at regional level but
:09:18. > :09:20.international level and those guys in the team probably would have made
:09:21. > :09:23.the difference. Nevertheless, it is not going to happen. There is going
:09:24. > :09:27.to be times in the season where players will come back from
:09:28. > :09:30.international duty and others have to perform. At the moment they are
:09:31. > :09:35.not performing. It is a game they should have won. I have never seen
:09:36. > :09:39.Phil and Dale McIntosh as frustrated anger angered as they were, to lose
:09:40. > :09:46.a game that was there for the wedding. sometimes the lack of
:09:47. > :09:51.resources, I do think a lot of players playing out of their comfort
:09:52. > :09:55.zone and I don't think they already for that level yet and that is
:09:56. > :09:58.always a concern, you get injuries and internationals and players
:09:59. > :10:02.stepping up into the region of the game, who are not ready for that
:10:03. > :10:04.step up yet, so it makes it tough for them because you can't blame
:10:05. > :10:09.those players because maybe they should not be there because they are
:10:10. > :10:12.not good enough. The foreign players for Glasgow made a big difference in
:10:13. > :10:16.the game, that is the difference. Strauss that ate was fantastic, the
:10:17. > :10:20.Fijian lads were excellent and they make good changes at halfback with
:10:21. > :10:24.quality coming on and the difference in the end, the defeat was down to
:10:25. > :10:29.the fact that Glasgow brought on some good players and the Blues had
:10:30. > :10:33.to take a couple of good ones fund it swam towards Glasgow.
:10:34. > :10:37.We mentioned Gethin Jenkins and Sam Warburton playing for the Blues and
:10:38. > :10:42.there were some Welsh squad players returning in the Ospreys, six in
:10:43. > :10:44.total, playing for international duty. They took on Treviso a little
:10:45. > :10:53.earlier today. Treviso turned up at the Liberty for
:10:54. > :10:59.what might be one of their last ever visits to Wales. If they go through
:11:00. > :11:01.with plans to quit the Pro12. The Wales hopefuls Dan Biggar and Rhys
:11:02. > :11:14.Webb were both starting for the home side.
:11:15. > :11:20.Rhys Webb creating the gap, Jonathan Spratt for the line and he
:11:21. > :11:44.stretches. They have numbers in defence rather
:11:45. > :11:54.than on his side. Well defended by Treviso. Rhys Webb, clean through
:11:55. > :11:58.and Treviso's defence cracks again. And they free up sprat mango? --
:11:59. > :12:14.Spratt? Chances on for the Ospreys. A
:12:15. > :12:30.beautiful pass. Can their forwards manufacture their
:12:31. > :12:33.first school of the game? -- first score of the game. Try as given.
:12:34. > :12:53.Away from Morgan. It is Carnival time for the Ospreys.
:12:54. > :12:58.Matthew Morgan leads the way. He has Sam Davis inside him. Can Sam Davis
:12:59. > :13:00.go all the way? A brilliant try for the Ospreys. Morgan and Davis
:13:01. > :13:12.combining. Baker did not need any help. Dan
:13:13. > :13:27.Baker, charging over for the Ospreys.
:13:28. > :13:37.This is almost too easy now for the Ospreys. A great ball. A beautiful
:13:38. > :13:43.pass by Spratt. Dirksen charges in for his first touch.
:13:44. > :13:52.Treviso back up to 15 men. It is good carrying by Dirksen. Matthew
:13:53. > :14:01.Morgan creates the gap from nowhere, the off-loading side. Ryan Jones
:14:02. > :14:03.with the dive. Is there one more to come, maybe, or are we being too
:14:04. > :14:15.greedy? Sam Davis in, he plunges in for his
:14:16. > :14:19.second try. Treviso were in a difficult spot at the moment,
:14:20. > :14:22.perhaps the wrong time for them to play us on a Sunday afternoon, a
:14:23. > :14:26.weakened team and when you consider the political situation, the
:14:27. > :14:48.coaching turnover there, that is uncomfortable for us in some ways
:14:49. > :14:53.that it is a fine win. There were some great skills there, some lovely
:14:54. > :14:57.tries. But it was a hollow victory. You can only beat who is in front of
:14:58. > :15:02.you. I thought there were a lot of skills on show. It was a good run
:15:03. > :15:05.out for the Ospreys boys. Six Welsh players back with the Ospreys this
:15:06. > :15:09.weekend. It was difficult to judge because it was such a one-sided
:15:10. > :15:16.game, but did anyone there put up their selection -- hand up for
:15:17. > :15:21.selection on Friday? Rhys Webb looked particularly sharp. He's very
:15:22. > :15:27.good around the fringes. He's a quality rugby player when the is
:15:28. > :15:31.open. He showed a little bit more than just his running game, his
:15:32. > :15:36.kicking game was good. He was on for 45 minutes and then he came off.
:15:37. > :15:42.Darting and finding space is what he's good at. He had a good game.
:15:43. > :15:48.But you have to take into account what was in front of him. They were
:15:49. > :15:51.a poor side, 14 internationals missing, they were borrowing players
:15:52. > :16:02.from local clubs in the Treviso area. You know what I'm going to ask
:16:03. > :16:09.you next? Libor I'm going to say no. I think they will stick with
:16:10. > :16:13.Mike Phillips. Halfback wise, they will stick with Mike Phillips, a
:16:14. > :16:17.big-game player. I don't think Rhys Webb, in terms of his man management
:16:18. > :16:22.of games, and today was an opportunity for him to show that, is
:16:23. > :16:29.ready for it just yet. What do you read into the selection of Rhys Webb
:16:30. > :16:35.and Biggar? Is Gatlin is looking at them as a partnership or is his mind
:16:36. > :16:39.already made up? Absolutely not looking at them for Friday night. If
:16:40. > :16:42.there's an opportunity for them to be involved, of course. But you
:16:43. > :16:46.wouldn't want to be picking your players with a five-day turnaround.
:16:47. > :16:51.He will go with the same pairing, I'm sure. On Mike Phillips, a lot of
:16:52. > :16:54.pundits suggesting he might be dropped this week. We don't know
:16:55. > :16:58.what is in the head of Warren Gatland, but let's talk about the
:16:59. > :17:10.psychology of that. If papers and pundits are calling for the axe to
:17:11. > :17:13.swing in your direction, when you are a player like Mike Phillips, who
:17:14. > :17:15.I guess has a streak of arrogance, do you let your insecurities take
:17:16. > :17:18.over or are you doubly determined to prove your critics wrong? I don't
:17:19. > :17:20.think Mike has got many insecurities. Not knowing him that
:17:21. > :17:25.well, but knowing him in the way he has performed, that would really
:17:26. > :17:30.pick his game up. He's had an uncertain season, changing clubs and
:17:31. > :17:36.everything. When you ask questions about the halfbacks, yes, it was a
:17:37. > :17:39.scrappy game against Italy, but against Ireland, the front five had
:17:40. > :17:44.a bad day at the office. That reflects on the performances of the
:17:45. > :17:48.halfbacks. It would be unfair to drop the halfbacks on the back of a
:17:49. > :17:53.brewer packed performance. It will be interesting to see if they do
:17:54. > :17:56.want to change a little bit and sharpen it up, maybe Rhys Webb
:17:57. > :18:04.offers a bit more pace than Mike does. Again, with Dan, playing as a
:18:05. > :18:08.partnership, he maybe brings a little bit more control and
:18:09. > :18:14.confidence than Rhys Priestland. Then again, if the front five really
:18:15. > :18:17.pick their game up and go well, Mike on the front foot and Rhys on the
:18:18. > :18:24.front foot, maybe that would be a better option. The five-day
:18:25. > :18:28.turnaround, I think they are professional rugby players, Treviso
:18:29. > :18:34.wasn't a massive hit... And they came off after 45 minutes. If you've
:18:35. > :18:38.got those players in camp for five weeks and they don't play a game and
:18:39. > :18:42.all of a sudden they have to go on... For them to have some game
:18:43. > :18:51.time today as opposed to sitting on the bench. Some haven't played since
:18:52. > :18:56.Australia. I think you've got to play. I prefer to play before I
:18:57. > :19:00.played for my country, but things have changed. We don't want to get
:19:01. > :19:07.ahead of ourselves. Let's remind us of Wales' campaign so far.
:19:08. > :19:21.It's Wales versus Italy. A lovely kick. Nicely placed. Missed! It's a
:19:22. > :19:33.gift! Wide. George North building up a head of steam for himself to chase
:19:34. > :19:37.this. The pass is loose. Good play. Roberts is through this time, he's
:19:38. > :19:49.got support outside. Williams will score for Wales. It's going to be a
:19:50. > :19:53.trifle Campagnaro. -- try for company no. Interception. It's going
:19:54. > :20:04.to be a run for the line. It is going to give Italy hope. They won't
:20:05. > :20:11.be happy with their performance. Far too many mistakes.
:20:12. > :20:23.Ireland versus Wales. They call it the grudge match. It's like the war
:20:24. > :20:36.zone at the moment. Four penalties conceded by Wales. It has been poor.
:20:37. > :20:45.It has gone wrong. Toner didn't even have to jump. A horrible line-out.
:20:46. > :20:51.Sexton. That was such a good ball. Putting that into space on a
:20:52. > :20:59.sixpence. Down to Chris Henry. Here comes the try. They are over the
:21:00. > :21:07.line, they claim the try. Ireland, what a try, what a finish this would
:21:08. > :21:13.be. Marie looks up a twist infield... It must be, it is! He
:21:14. > :21:18.scores. The game is done. Ireland's date. You Low tactically, Ireland
:21:19. > :21:26.got it right and Wales made too many mistakes and didn't really have a
:21:27. > :21:28.plan E to go to. That was probably one of the worst performances we've
:21:29. > :21:39.had since I've been involved. Let's talk tactics now. Wales
:21:40. > :21:43.stuttered so far. Generally felt that Joe Schmidt outfoxed Warren
:21:44. > :21:47.Gatland in Dublin. Wales are being lambasted for not having another
:21:48. > :21:51.plan. What has been your perspective on this? There's a lot been said
:21:52. > :21:58.about the kicking game. I thought that Wales' kicking game wasn't as
:21:59. > :22:04.accurate as the Irish. Priestland is under pressure. It's a good kick but
:22:05. > :22:09.Ireland already for it. A great take. Ireland get the ball back,
:22:10. > :22:13.penalty from that return. Here we see another one. The kick is a bit
:22:14. > :22:19.shallow this time from Halfpenny. Knock on, scrum down to Ireland.
:22:20. > :22:23.This time it is Priestland putting a little kick behind, covered by Conor
:22:24. > :22:31.Marie. George North goes off his feet, penalty to Ireland. Here we
:22:32. > :22:36.see pressure. Ireland relieving, exit. Ball back to Ireland. The kick
:22:37. > :22:46.on the money, big challenge, Halfpenny does really well.
:22:47. > :22:51.Priestland, he works back to cover but his options are limited. He
:22:52. > :22:55.takes the ball into touch. From that line-up, Ireland got the try. It was
:22:56. > :22:59.a theme throughout the game. Halfpenny on his own, perfect kick
:23:00. > :23:04.from Ireland, getting the ball back. Wales kicked the ball on field
:23:05. > :23:12.five times. Four of them, Ireland got the ball back. You've got to
:23:13. > :23:16.work as a team. You don't have to block someone but you can be a lazy
:23:17. > :23:22.runner and stand in the way, so make people go on the outside of you. The
:23:23. > :23:28.pressure game was far better by Ireland. Usually Wales' kicking game
:23:29. > :23:35.has been good. You know Philippe Saint-Andre well. France are the
:23:36. > :23:39.next opponents. What can we expect? He's had a lot of success in the
:23:40. > :23:44.Premier ship with a big kicking game. I know he will bring that
:23:45. > :23:47.here. The way Wales defend, they leave their full-back with a lot to
:23:48. > :23:53.do. You can see Leigh Halfpenny is having to deal with high kicks. Look
:23:54. > :23:57.at this field here. This has come from a scrum for Ireland. Leigh
:23:58. > :24:01.Halfpenny, centre of the field. I'd much prefer that blindside wing to
:24:02. > :24:14.be infield, giving Halfpenny the licence to come across. Mike
:24:15. > :24:17.Phillips, his sweep and cover any dink over the top. Halfpenny is
:24:18. > :24:20.covering that and all of that space. Because his starting position was 50
:24:21. > :24:22.metres to the centre of the post, he didn't deal with that. Here, Wales
:24:23. > :24:26.are positive. Particularly against France there will be these
:24:27. > :24:31.opportunities. But Wales, missed pass. Ireland, two defenders and
:24:32. > :24:35.withdrew them a missed pass. Easy for the Irish defence to drift out.
:24:36. > :24:39.Halfpenny has an opportunity, just three Irish defenders. He should be
:24:40. > :24:44.taking it to the line and creating a space out wide. Priestland, what he
:24:45. > :24:48.is really renowned for, he doesn't do it either. The Irish defence were
:24:49. > :24:57.able to deal with it. If Wales improve on that and attack the
:24:58. > :24:59.defensive line, against France, the way they will kick, short and
:25:00. > :25:02.contestable, be positive and those opportunities will come for Wales
:25:03. > :25:07.against France. The French stand-off, I don't think he is up
:25:08. > :25:11.there at that level yet. Sexton had a great game. It's easy, if you see
:25:12. > :25:16.the space before you get the ball, you know what you are going to do.
:25:17. > :25:22.Full-back can't cover that amount of ground. The back three should be on
:25:23. > :25:26.a piece of string. The full-back is there and he's there. If he comes
:25:27. > :25:30.back, he moves across and the other wing goes up. There is a full-back,
:25:31. > :25:36.a full-back, a full-back. You've got to communicate. Everybody's job is
:25:37. > :25:40.easier. It's tougher for the stand-off to find a space to kick.
:25:41. > :25:44.Then the kicking game isn't such a huge factor in the game. Maybe
:25:45. > :25:47.Ireland then have got to carry the ball more and Wales have an
:25:48. > :25:55.opportunity to turn the ball over. They've got to think about it as a
:25:56. > :25:59.team effort on the back three. It's a lot of work for the full-back.
:26:00. > :26:04.What I'd like to see happen against France, Toby Faletau is probably the
:26:05. > :26:09.best full-back, he needs to be used. I'd like to see him dropping back.
:26:10. > :26:13.It was clear that Ireland had a big kicking strategy. We are talking
:26:14. > :26:18.about changing game plans on the field. That is something you can do.
:26:19. > :26:21.Let's drop the wing is deeper and the full-back back. If Wales are
:26:22. > :26:25.bold enough to do that, they want a lot of people in the defensive
:26:26. > :26:28.line, they are happy to have Mike Phillips in that line and force
:26:29. > :26:34.people to kick, but there are opportunities to drop back. Mike
:26:35. > :26:38.Phillips is used in the defensive line because he is big and abrasive.
:26:39. > :26:42.But there's always that gap. With Leigh Halfpenny, he's not just
:26:43. > :26:46.covering the width of the field, he is also covering over the top. His
:26:47. > :26:51.first movement was forward and then he's got to go back. It's a huge
:26:52. > :26:55.area to cover. Saint-Andre, or any good coach, would look at Wales and
:26:56. > :26:59.analyse the way they perform and where their spaces. They've got
:27:00. > :27:04.enough football in their side to be able to make that counter and
:27:05. > :27:10.exploit those areas. Talking about the centres now. The big question is
:27:11. > :27:13.whether Jonathan Davies is fit. We heard Joe Schmidt criticise Wales
:27:14. > :27:17.last week for picking players who aren't perhaps at full fitness. Can
:27:18. > :27:25.you see him being thrown straight back in? Because the injury with
:27:26. > :27:30.Scott Williams, we've got Jonathan Davies, Jamie Roberts and Scott
:27:31. > :27:35.Williams as our first choice centres. One is away, he's been left
:27:36. > :27:40.in camp. If he is fit, I think he will be picked. It's different
:27:41. > :27:44.upfront. Warburton, very abrasive with a breakdown, the front five who
:27:45. > :27:47.haven't played for a while. They need their match practice. I think
:27:48. > :27:51.Jonathan Davies will come straight in if he's fit. If he's not, I think
:27:52. > :27:56.he will go for George North. I think he will use the power game in
:27:57. > :28:03.midfield. Don't think faster road is going to be available. -- faster
:28:04. > :28:10.road. He will stick to his game plan. Use power up the middle. It's
:28:11. > :28:16.not as abrasive a position, but surely if you are off the pace if
:28:17. > :28:21.you've not played... I think it's very difficult. Times have changed.
:28:22. > :28:29.You are in camp a lot longer, so maybe they can assess their fitness
:28:30. > :28:33.better. Again, if he's not fit, I think he will put George North in.
:28:34. > :28:38.But then you are playing Liam Williams on the wing, who hasn't
:28:39. > :28:42.played on the wing for his region. It's a risk worth taking there.
:28:43. > :28:46.Talking about other players who have come straight back in, there are
:28:47. > :28:53.other options. Tipuric, James, they are options. I would certainly go
:28:54. > :29:00.with Jon Davies if he is fit. If he can play 40, great, 50, great, just
:29:01. > :29:05.monitor the situation. I don't think we've got many options anyway. We
:29:06. > :29:09.find out on Wednesday, that is when it is announced. Let's go back to
:29:10. > :29:16.the protocol is now and Friday night's game in Dublin. -- Proto.
:29:17. > :29:21.History was weighing heavily on the Dragons as they travelled to face
:29:22. > :29:26.the team they'd never beaten away from home. Leinster were missing
:29:27. > :29:29.eight of their Irish test stars but were still able to field a side
:29:30. > :29:43.containing 11 internationals. Leinster putting together these
:29:44. > :29:46.short passes, despite the conditions. The penalty count is
:29:47. > :29:56.already stacking up against the Dragons.
:29:57. > :30:13.He might fancy the drop goal. 30 metres out... Has he found the
:30:14. > :30:20.target? He has. The Dragons are back on terms. It could be a drop goal to
:30:21. > :30:26.nothing. They will come back anyway for the
:30:27. > :30:42.penalty. He has been penalised three times in
:30:43. > :30:59.the scrum and gets done in the loose.
:31:00. > :31:02.McGrath fancies the charge himself and it was Route one that paid off
:31:03. > :31:14.for Leinster in the end. Harris is putting pressure on
:31:15. > :31:29.McFadden. Leinster getting three or four blue
:31:30. > :31:33.shirts back. A good chain -- charge from Will Harris, but he could have
:31:34. > :31:39.done with a couple of mates alongside him to force the penalty.
:31:40. > :31:48.The Dragons have the turnover. Can he sliding? The trifle Ashley Smith
:31:49. > :32:00.in the corner. -- the try, for Ashley Smith in the corner.
:32:01. > :32:08.The Dragons have nicked another one. Is there something on?
:32:09. > :32:15.Richie Rees, where has that one come from? Leinster caught absolutely
:32:16. > :32:31.cold. The Dragons with two tries in two minutes.
:32:32. > :32:41.He might fancy a pop at goal from here.
:32:42. > :32:54.Straight and true and the Dragons' leaders extended to 16-10. -- their
:32:55. > :32:57.lead is extended. Another penalty coming Leinster's way. I yellow
:32:58. > :33:17.card, I think. This is a really testing time for
:33:18. > :33:18.the Dragons pack as they crumble. A penalty try and a chance for
:33:19. > :33:32.Leinster to retake the lead. Will it be a second penalty try?
:33:33. > :33:49.Yes, it will. Offside, a penalty in front of the
:33:50. > :34:02.posts. A bonus point range, with 11 minutes
:34:03. > :34:16.left. The Dragons have possession, as the
:34:17. > :34:22.Leinster line-out goes wrong. The referee's whistle has gone.
:34:23. > :34:44.The RDS crowd baying for a card. It is dangerous play, a red card.
:34:45. > :34:50.Where is this going to end? It is going to end in a try for the
:34:51. > :34:58.Leinster replacement. Heartache for the Dragons.
:34:59. > :35:04.As things stand, the Ospreys are the only Welsh region in the top four.
:35:05. > :35:07.Glasgow in force. If there is a European Cup next year with
:35:08. > :35:11.meritocratic qualification, as things stand the Blues and the
:35:12. > :35:15.Dragons would miss out. You watched that back, shaking your head in
:35:16. > :35:19.disbelief at times. It must have been anger in the dressing room, I
:35:20. > :35:24.imagine? A lot of people putting a lot of effort and a couple of make
:35:25. > :35:28.silly errors and it cost us but people have come to me and said,
:35:29. > :35:31.hard lines, do you know what? I am fed up of been hard lines, Dragons,
:35:32. > :35:37.it is time to start winning games. We need to recruit a bit, strengthen
:35:38. > :35:41.the squad but a lot of people good attitude right until the death but
:35:42. > :35:43.we did not get the win. There has been a lot written about the
:35:44. > :35:51.Dragons' ambition this season so far. We know some are on their way
:35:52. > :35:55.back next season, a lot of speculation about Gavin Henson and
:35:56. > :35:59.Matthew Morgan joining them. That is potentially a formidable looking
:36:00. > :36:03.backline? yes, it is, and they have recruited upfront. You have
:36:04. > :36:11.Stankovich coming from Leicester, who is a formidable front row
:36:12. > :36:15.forward, with experience and quality and Matthew Morgan, if he is playing
:36:16. > :36:18.regular rugby somewhere I think he would be pushing for international
:36:19. > :36:23.honours. He is a fantastic player. Is he big enough, I think people
:36:24. > :36:31.have not given him an opportunity. He has played odd game. He's
:36:32. > :36:34.fantastic, you have to take into account the opposition but he needs
:36:35. > :36:40.regular rugby. If he plays four or five games there will be an
:36:41. > :36:44.improvement. That is key, for Gavin Henson or Matthew, as long as they
:36:45. > :36:49.play it is what is best for them and those two need to play games. The
:36:50. > :36:56.only man who can tell us if they are coming or not... I have got his
:36:57. > :37:02.mobile number. No, the truth is we have a lot of players in contract
:37:03. > :37:06.for two years, tied in, so it is nice to talk to these players and I
:37:07. > :37:09.am sure if they are Welsh qualified players of that quality and the
:37:10. > :37:13.Dragons are showing ambition, we will go for those players but we
:37:14. > :37:17.have a lot of players in contract and it is not as simple as, we will
:37:18. > :37:21.take him. Things have to move before you can do those things.
:37:22. > :37:26.Tight-lipped, thank you. Agger rogue peace deal seems to be edging closer
:37:27. > :37:29.with agreements on qualification and governance report suggesting they
:37:30. > :37:36.may be governed from Switzerland -- a currency peace deal. Broadcasters
:37:37. > :37:44.will be meeting next week to discuss. It is beginning to look
:37:45. > :37:50.like the Anglo-Welsh is out of the window. Good news, or bad news? It
:37:51. > :37:54.has always been about broadband and Sky and BT, we all knew from the
:37:55. > :37:58.strikes from the start. They will strike a deal and we will have a
:37:59. > :38:03.competition. If it is a European competition, great, that is the best
:38:04. > :38:06.thing for the Welsh regions. Anglo-Welsh looks fantastic, but I
:38:07. > :38:11.never thought that was going to happen. But for me I think it is all
:38:12. > :38:15.about the Pro12. The Pro12 has got to be far more competitive. There
:38:16. > :38:21.are quality sides in that league and yet the Irish and the Scottish, the
:38:22. > :38:25.strength and depth they have, they can chop and change and rest players
:38:26. > :38:29.because they will end up in the top six. I think qualification, make it
:38:30. > :38:34.competitive and hopefully the players will stay. Back to the
:38:35. > :38:37.action. It was the last 16 of the SWALEC Cup today, two games
:38:38. > :38:42.unfortunately fell victim to the weather but six did go ahead and our
:38:43. > :39:03.cameras were at the Arms Park for Cardiff versus Newbridge.
:39:04. > :39:13.More forward driving. He is over, he gets the try.
:39:14. > :39:23.Newbridge having a go with what little possession they are getting.
:39:24. > :39:29.Pat James, almost up to the 22. Mazy run for Pat James. A quick ball for
:39:30. > :39:38.Newbridge would be handy. He is looking for Johnny Morris on
:39:39. > :39:48.the right-hand side, but good cover by Cardiff.
:39:49. > :39:58.Jonathan Edwards, the captain, exhorting his troops. They have the
:39:59. > :40:02.momentum. It is a second for some. The bobbin over the last couple of
:40:03. > :40:05.weeks we have been disappointed and Newbridge pride themselves on the
:40:06. > :40:09.pack, so we knew we had to put-in a performance and it is pleasing to
:40:10. > :40:11.come away with a victory. STUDIO:
:40:12. > :40:30.Cross Keys wondered when derby handsomely. Carmarthen Quins...
:40:31. > :40:36.Back to the six Nations and our next opponents, France, and history tells
:40:37. > :40:40.us they cash in have to rely on store. They are two from two so far
:40:41. > :40:47.and have a significant weapon in their backline.
:40:48. > :40:57.What a start to the six Nations! They finish!
:40:58. > :41:07.Happy days are here again with a young man known as the cheetah
:41:08. > :41:08.putting a smile on French faces. Two tries in two minutes. France,
:41:09. > :41:29.devastating. Fofana is the latest talent to
:41:30. > :41:30.emerge that includes French coach Saint-Andre. His development has not
:41:31. > :42:01.been completely conventional. They have had a joke, they put some
:42:02. > :42:06.pictures up of men when he was a different shape and has worked hard
:42:07. > :42:10.with his condition and diet, you can see how he has improved and you can
:42:11. > :42:14.see that hard work does pay off. He will be a superstar, he already is
:42:15. > :42:24.but there is no limits to what he can do. We talked about Fofana's
:42:25. > :42:30.star quality, here it is. Our first-team fixture with 23 caps, he
:42:31. > :42:36.made his debut in 2012, scoring four tries in his first four tests.
:42:37. > :42:38.Fofana, his first day of International Rugby Board he scores.
:42:39. > :42:53.What a second-half the centre has had.
:42:54. > :43:07.Fofana. Fofana comes away with it, three caps, three tries.
:43:08. > :43:16.Last year's Six Nations may have been a step too far for Saint-Andre
:43:17. > :43:23.but despite the Wooden Spoon, selecting Fofana at centre did give
:43:24. > :43:33.him something to smile about. Fofana, beautiful sliding scale.
:43:34. > :43:47.Fofana! Broke a beautiful try. -- Fofana, a beautiful try.
:43:48. > :43:56.With Rougerie, it gives him confidence. He has been awesome to
:43:57. > :44:01.see. He likes to learn a lot. You can see in training, after training
:44:02. > :44:07.he will do extra and he likes that partnership and he will miss it next
:44:08. > :44:12.year. The pot of gold at the end of Clermont's rainbow, next year sees
:44:13. > :44:18.Donovan raged -- Jonathan Davies joining Fofana. But first, the Fox
:44:19. > :44:38.and the cheetah may read up Cardiff. -- may beat up in Cardiff.
:44:39. > :44:46.It is a battle of the big boys in midfield. Robert and Bastareaud
:44:47. > :44:48.included, where it could all be won and lost in a rear clash of the
:44:49. > :45:11.Titans. It will be a cracking game. France
:45:12. > :45:16.have confidence with two wins, but Wales will be bouncing for that one
:45:17. > :45:39.in Cardiff on Friday night. I think Wales can win the game.
:45:40. > :45:45.Intriguing to find out he was a once a chubby upstart who didn't pick up
:45:46. > :45:48.a rugby ball until he was a teenager. He's done all right since,
:45:49. > :45:57.hasn't he? Class player. With France, I don't really see what they
:45:58. > :46:01.are trying to do. With Italy, I can... I can't see where they are
:46:02. > :46:08.really going to worry Wales. But if it gets loose, he is the danger
:46:09. > :46:14.man. No loose play whatsoever. I think it will be fascinating in the
:46:15. > :46:18.midfield. I think Wales will win. He didn't play this weekend. There was
:46:19. > :46:23.an agreement before the Six Nations between the French Federation and
:46:24. > :46:26.the clubs that Saint-Andre could select 12 players to rest in the
:46:27. > :46:34.rest weekends between games. That hasn't happened this weekend. I
:46:35. > :46:41.spoke to him last week and he was a happy man. He's not so happy today.
:46:42. > :46:46.Bastareaud is definitely out? Wii 90% that he has gone. He has Fritz
:46:47. > :46:54.injured, De Vida insured. It looks like it could be fickle playing now.
:46:55. > :47:06.It gives them a different dimension. With loose, broken play, it's
:47:07. > :47:12.incredible. That's an issue for Wales, possibly. This Welsh group at
:47:13. > :47:16.the moment, they are not used to losing. They've had a really nice
:47:17. > :47:21.period of international rugby. They've been really successful since
:47:22. > :47:26.2010. It's interesting to see how this group will respond to a bit of
:47:27. > :47:40.criticism. I think they will respond positively. They like winning and
:47:41. > :47:48.they will go out and win. Wales or France next Friday? I'm going for
:47:49. > :47:52.Wales. Good man. Thanks for watching at home. That's it from us on Scrum
:47:53. > :47:58.V. If Wales have any hope of defending their Six Nations crown on
:47:59. > :48:01.Friday, it really is win or bust. We will see you in a few days time.
