:00:19. > :00:25.On the programme tonight, we have all the big games. He is still

:00:26. > :00:33.going, what a run. And we have all the big names as we look back on the

:00:34. > :00:40.Pro12 and ahead to the Six Nations. The first thing they will be looking

:00:41. > :00:42.to do... It is not going to be easy because Wales will not make it easy.

:00:43. > :00:50.CHEERING There are just six days to go

:00:51. > :00:56.until England and Wales The winners will almost definitely

:00:57. > :01:03.be crowned Six Nations champions. On our panel tonight,

:01:04. > :01:05.three Welsh legends who know all about tasting sweet

:01:06. > :01:07.victory at England's HQ. Would you please give a warm

:01:08. > :01:09.welcome to Martyn Williams, Our star at the bar tonight

:01:10. > :01:18.is a member of Welsh rugby's I'll have the latest

:01:19. > :01:28.from the Principality Premiership, and will also have a chat

:01:29. > :01:30.with former Wales captain, and a British and Irish

:01:31. > :01:37.Lion, Ryan Jones. All that to come. Plenty to get

:01:38. > :01:43.through this evening. Let's begin with the Pro12,

:01:44. > :01:55.and Leinster versus the Ospreys. The Ospreys handed Rhys Webb

:01:56. > :02:00.Vikander captaincy. This man was released by Wilson balk at the pack.

:02:01. > :02:04.Leinster have a 100% record in the Pro12 and made seven changes.

:02:05. > :02:13.Including the international back pairing of Ian Madigan.

:02:14. > :02:21.Cracknell, Davies with a lovely of Lord. Evans unceremoniously dumped.

:02:22. > :02:26.Maintaining possession, the men in white, the Ospreys. That was a three

:02:27. > :02:35.shot. They will go back for a penalty

:02:36. > :02:50.advantage. There was silence from the crowd, as

:02:51. > :03:00.you would expect. And do him and the and the Ospreys the world of good.

:03:01. > :03:06.He cannot get the ball across to Marty's foetal the protection it

:03:07. > :03:10.needs. There is a little break. McFadden, who has a got inside? He

:03:11. > :03:18.has support. It looks like Dan Leavy and he will go over for the try.

:03:19. > :03:30.He holds his line. Owen Watkin does well. The ball is there. The Our

:03:31. > :03:34.Mick from the referee. They will get something. It was sloppy again. An

:03:35. > :03:47.opportunity. They will go back and take the penalty.

:03:48. > :03:57.Clear outcomes. Cracknell has worked tirelessly. He is away! Great play

:03:58. > :04:03.and no more than the Ospreys deserve.

:04:04. > :04:11.That was a better ball at the front. No challenge from Leicester. It goes

:04:12. > :04:27.through the hands, Bacon again, still going inside the 22. -- Baker

:04:28. > :04:30.again. There was a clear out. Just right under the nose of the referee,

:04:31. > :04:37.right on the spot. Delicate hands from the try scorer, Baker. Everyone

:04:38. > :04:41.was confident that we would get in the top six and there is no reason

:04:42. > :04:48.why we can't. We have the squad and strength of depth. We have these

:04:49. > :04:49.hard games, away games are away and looking forward to getting back home

:04:50. > :04:52.and finishing off strong. A tenth win in 11 for Leinster,

:04:53. > :05:01.and they remain unbeaten at home Rhys Webb was fairly upbeat after a

:05:02. > :05:06.valiant performance. Ultimately, and it pains me to say this because we

:05:07. > :05:11.have a lot of fans in, is that it's the title ambitions? They it

:05:12. > :05:16.difficult. After the Connacht game last week. I think they have maybe

:05:17. > :05:19.lost one game with internationals back. From the way that they started

:05:20. > :05:25.the season, they have left themselves a long way to go.

:05:26. > :05:28.Leinster, ten out of 11. They are slowly becoming the team were used

:05:29. > :05:33.to them being. One guy was a standout. Ben Te'o was probably the

:05:34. > :05:37.difference. It has taken him a year to bed in. I am sure Leinster will

:05:38. > :05:42.be really disappointed because just when he finds his feet in union, he

:05:43. > :05:47.signed for Worcester. It is not just as ball carrying. Yes, he's good

:05:48. > :05:53.with that but he before contact us well. He has brought a real

:05:54. > :05:57.different edge to the way that they attack. They are looking really

:05:58. > :06:01.strong, Leinster and they will finish in the top two. They have a

:06:02. > :06:07.home semifinal. For me, they are favourites to win the whole thing.

:06:08. > :06:10.Not only is Ben Te'o effect with the ball in hand, here's a pretty mean

:06:11. > :06:14.player in rugby league. Sam Davies had a great game of the actors come

:06:15. > :06:19.into his own. He was singled out for attention by Ben Te'o and he dealt

:06:20. > :06:27.with it manfully. I think so. His game as come on leaps and bounds. He

:06:28. > :06:31.was silly targeted. But he made his tackles on Ben Te'o, who is bigger

:06:32. > :06:37.strong. He made a couple of errors but generally his performance was

:06:38. > :06:40.excellent. He is a great kicker and has been since the day he stepped

:06:41. > :06:45.into the number ten jersey. He is developing his game fantastically

:06:46. > :06:50.well. His running ability, his ability to beat people into space

:06:51. > :06:56.and is the tradition. He is growing and his maturity grows as he goes

:06:57. > :06:59.on. Will he play regular rugby? There will be another player coming

:07:00. > :07:03.back to fill the number ten position at Ospreys. Where he is at the

:07:04. > :07:06.moment, when you consider where they stand in the pecking order, he needs

:07:07. > :07:13.to play week in and week out. I do not think he will get that at

:07:14. > :07:17.Ospreys. His greatest death in -- he is great to step in to those shoes,

:07:18. > :07:26.but I think he needs to play regular rugby. Is he too good to play second

:07:27. > :07:30.choice? I think so. With Dan, he is meticulous with his practising and

:07:31. > :07:33.the hours that he spends. Sam is exactly the same and has worked

:07:34. > :07:37.incredibly hard but it is game time that he needed and he has that now

:07:38. > :07:46.and he is starting to show people what he can do. It would be a shame

:07:47. > :07:52.for him to be sat under the bench. He is a class operator and needs to

:07:53. > :07:56.play. Dan Baker at number eight. He had a sniff of international action.

:07:57. > :08:02.He was not in the squad for the Six Nations but he showed his class. He

:08:03. > :08:05.has a powerful lad. In my last couple of years when he came

:08:06. > :08:08.through, you can see at the class and power and the step, everything.

:08:09. > :08:12.They were working hard on his fitness. The poor kid was running

:08:13. > :08:17.laps and laps and they were relieved the sting him. He's getting his

:08:18. > :08:22.confidence back now with a run after not making the World Cup squad. He

:08:23. > :08:35.is a fantastic prospect. Wells made him as well. -- Wales. If the number

:08:36. > :08:39.it ever does get injured, we do not have a back-up. He has to get a run

:08:40. > :08:45.and get fit will stop here is a fantastic talent with bags of

:08:46. > :08:47.potential. Intriguingly, Rhys Webb paid the fill 80 minutes. -- played

:08:48. > :09:05.the full 80 minutes. paid the fill 80 minutes. -- played

:09:06. > :09:08.control on the game yesterday, his service, generally what you want

:09:09. > :09:14.from a number nine. We did not see the blistering breaks, but that will

:09:15. > :09:19.come. He could well be drafted into the squad. I do not think he will

:09:20. > :09:23.step into the squad for the England game but I think they will want him

:09:24. > :09:27.back as quickly as possible. He is a pretty good position at number nine.

:09:28. > :09:28.He is certainly one starting to find his feet again after just three

:09:29. > :11:15.games. He has tweeted in my career so far. Hopefully a few

:11:16. > :11:23.more to beat that but that was special. Seeing Gareth score that

:11:24. > :11:29.try, it was fantastic. We could not believe it. There was a little glass

:11:30. > :11:35.of champagne after that. The speed of Gareth Davies. Who is inside him?

:11:36. > :11:42.He spends, another little kick by the scrum-half... There was maybe

:11:43. > :11:47.one occasion in the last game we are you with a cross kick rather than

:11:48. > :11:53.pass. Yes, I sat down and we spoke about that incident with the coach.

:11:54. > :11:57.He told me that I should be looking to pass the ball instead of kicking

:11:58. > :12:02.it through. If I make a break like that on the weekend, the first thing

:12:03. > :12:09.I would do is pass it. He gave me a clip on the head as well! Warren

:12:10. > :12:16.said that he need to maybe be a bit more vocal. Is that shyness? A bit

:12:17. > :12:23.of shyness. I am quite shy, believe it or not. Yes, he has always been

:12:24. > :12:26.quite quiet. But when it comes to the crunch, I am sure he will be

:12:27. > :12:34.bossing everyone around. When he has to, yes. I speak quite well in the

:12:35. > :12:37.pitch with my forward. I am not the type of person that speaks up in

:12:38. > :12:42.meetings for the sake of it. If there is something that needs to be

:12:43. > :12:48.said, I will say it. The more I find my feet in the squad, the more that

:12:49. > :12:52.will come naturally to me. It is kept alive to Rhys Webb, and Rhys

:12:53. > :13:05.Webb will finish every day from that position. Rhys Webb got a first try

:13:06. > :13:12.back last week. What about that? I get on really well with Rhys. It

:13:13. > :13:16.would be great to have him back with us and a great battle for the

:13:17. > :13:23.jersey. Do you have a message for Rhys Webb, if he is watching now?

:13:24. > :13:33.Hope you are well. What a great season it has been for the starlets.

:13:34. > :13:39.-- Scarlets. They have done really well this season. We said, this is

:13:40. > :13:46.to be a target for us, to finish in the top four. In the top two, to get

:13:47. > :13:51.a home play-off. After the Six Nations, it be massive derby,

:13:52. > :13:56.Scarlets against Ospreys. It would be nice to have a game against Rhys

:13:57. > :14:02.The weekend before the Ospreys game, hopefully that will be a massive

:14:03. > :14:07.game and it will be the game for the championship. Hopefully we beat the

:14:08. > :14:13.English, then the Ospreys the week after. That would be just as big.

:14:14. > :14:19.And it is Mother's Day on Sunday. What is your message for your mum?

:14:20. > :14:24.Is at this week? It is Mother's Day this Sunday, make sure you Colin and

:14:25. > :14:30.see your mum! -- make sure you call by. I will get some flowers or

:14:31. > :14:36.something. Thanks for everything, mum, have a nice day. Thank you for

:14:37. > :14:41.being a lovely son. And we all very proud of him, yes.

:14:42. > :14:46.Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers watching today. We talked

:14:47. > :14:50.about Rhys Webb. Gareth Davies as well. We are blessed in that

:14:51. > :14:56.department. You must be a nightmare to mark. He is brilliant. We have

:14:57. > :15:00.seen him at Scarlets, scoring 50, 60 metre tries at regional level. Can

:15:01. > :15:07.he do this at international level? And he has. If you are forward, they

:15:08. > :15:13.are the worst type of scrum-half 's to play. He is a big, powerful guy

:15:14. > :15:17.as well. He's quick. We forget to inexperienced dessert and a national

:15:18. > :15:26.level. He has played under one year at this level. -- inexperienced that

:15:27. > :15:31.he is at a national level. We are blessed that he has taken over from

:15:32. > :15:40.Rhys Webb through injury. He is not bizarrely first choice at Scarlets

:15:41. > :15:46.often, he does not get a huge run of games at his club. If we look back,

:15:47. > :15:51.he got into that Welsh side before Rhys Webb was injured. He made the

:15:52. > :15:58.position his own. He is the biggest attacking threat that we have. As

:15:59. > :16:01.part of his game, he still has areas to develop. He mentioned his

:16:02. > :16:05.decision-making and some of the work he does with controlling people up

:16:06. > :16:08.front in particular. At international level, you have to get

:16:09. > :16:15.it right 97% of the time and you cannot afford to drop under that.

:16:16. > :16:21.Alongside the great scrum-half alongside him, as an attacking

:16:22. > :16:24.threat, he is fantastic. He is under pressure, not just at international

:16:25. > :16:29.level from Rhys Webb and Lloyd Williams, but down at Scarlets. That

:16:30. > :16:32.pressure will make him a better player long-term. Did you like

:16:33. > :16:38.getting bossed about by scrum-half 's? I had a fight with Garreth

:16:39. > :16:46.Gilbert at the Ospreys. On my own team! I hate scrum-halfs. They are

:16:47. > :16:50.nightmare. Talking of scrum-halfs and great scrum-halfs, what Gareth

:16:51. > :16:58.Davies' mum told us was Dwayne Peel was Gareth's hero growing up. Dwayne

:16:59. > :17:04.Peel has announced his retirement from all rugby this week. 76 caps

:17:05. > :17:14.for Wales, three for the Lions. Maybe the second best scrum-half in

:17:15. > :17:19.Wales ever? Look, he was a great player. He had

:17:20. > :17:26.a couple of seasons, 2005 in 2006, with the Lions, where he was the

:17:27. > :17:30.best in the world. His trademark of getting goals from quick penalty set

:17:31. > :17:36.from everyone. He had a great passion for the game as well. He did

:17:37. > :17:43.it with a bit of humour. He is a bit of a character. One thing he wasn't

:17:44. > :17:48.was quiet. Dwayne would boss you're in the park. He was brilliant and

:17:49. > :17:54.you would not have to think. He was behind you, chirping away.

:17:55. > :17:58.Unfortunately, he went off the scene a little bit by going to Sale

:17:59. > :18:05.But one of the best I ever played with. He is still involved in the

:18:06. > :18:08.game. He is doing coaching work at Bristol. He's involved in the

:18:09. > :18:12.development of the game at Scarlets. To keep those qualities, to help

:18:13. > :18:21.develop the future, is fantastic. What a Dream Team that would be. We

:18:22. > :18:25.will wait and see what happens. Talking of Scarlets, let's go to

:18:26. > :18:30.them. They welcome Treviso on Friday night.

:18:31. > :18:35.The Scarlet just once in the league this season on home turf and they

:18:36. > :18:41.welcomed back international is like Jake Ball and Alan Davies. And

:18:42. > :18:44.Scotland's John Barclay at number eight. He had a try scoring

:18:45. > :18:59.performance against Italy last week in the Six Nations.

:19:00. > :19:06.Maybe a bit more space out wide this time. Great run by Stefan Evans. And

:19:07. > :19:11.he is still going, what I run and what a try by Stefan Evans!

:19:12. > :19:18.Brilliantly finished by the youngster.

:19:19. > :19:26.James Davies, having a little local the top to see you close that line

:19:27. > :19:36.is. -- having a little look over the top. James Davies busts over, one --

:19:37. > :19:44.was he there? I would say some of that was on the line.

:19:45. > :19:57.That was a clean break. He is inside... But he is hauled down by

:19:58. > :20:01.Hadleigh Parkes. He digs it clear, calling on the outside but it goes

:20:02. > :20:11.to Gareth Owen. That should have been a try for Treviso.

:20:12. > :20:42.Barbieri spends. Yes, say Treviso. -- Barbieri spins.

:20:43. > :20:52.Taken by Tom Palmer. In goes Barbieri. They struggled in the

:20:53. > :21:01.first half to get the ball to the ground. Barbieri is still in charge.

:21:02. > :21:09.Up to the try line. It is eight try. -- it is a try.

:21:10. > :21:16.An interception for Barbieri. He's going to go all the way for a

:21:17. > :21:20.second. This could put a visa ahead. What a turnaround. The mistakes

:21:21. > :21:32.continue from the Scarlet. Robert Barbieri profits again. Scarlet 's,

:21:33. > :21:40.sensing this is a chance they want to take advantage of. Good hands by

:21:41. > :21:47.Park. Evans, and that is a crucial try for the Scarlet.

:21:48. > :21:56.It may have been a different game. They cool aid well, put us under

:21:57. > :22:00.pressure. -- they played well. It is another win for the skulls,

:22:01. > :22:03.there are 12 of the season. Rob, they look assured of a play-off

:22:04. > :22:09.place, but how much to you think will regret that missed bonus

:22:10. > :22:15.there is no doubt, going into the game, they would have chatted about

:22:16. > :22:19.that. You have to see sides like that off. They are bottom of the

:22:20. > :22:26.table for a reason. Although they picked up a couple of home wins, you

:22:27. > :22:32.would expect a side as good as this girl is to come back with a bonus

:22:33. > :22:38.point. It all started so well, Martin. Evans was on fire, he was

:22:39. > :22:42.man of the match, unsurprisingly. You tweeted afterwards that he

:22:43. > :22:46.should be in the Welsh squad. Is he that good? I think he is, I think

:22:47. > :22:53.he's different. We have a lot of big, powerful runners. He has a

:22:54. > :22:59.great step. 15 is probably his favourite position. I know this is

:23:00. > :23:09.only against Treviso. I think get him in the system. I think he really

:23:10. > :23:16.has something about him. He has a good left peg. I think he is really

:23:17. > :23:23.one for the future. We are not blessed with a load of wingers. We

:23:24. > :23:28.have George Cuthbert, Hallam Amos, they are all quite similar. He would

:23:29. > :23:33.bring another dimension. That is the key, something different. We have no

:23:34. > :23:40.chains at the moment in the system. I think we need to bring him through

:23:41. > :23:46.and offer something a bit different. One man impressed you, Ian, Jake

:23:47. > :23:54.Ball. He probably hasn't played enough minutes for Wales, in his

:23:55. > :23:56.opinion, this season. He is a good player. With Luke Charteris

:23:57. > :24:00.struggling with injury, and he limped off at the end of the game,

:24:01. > :24:07.we're a bit concerned, because he is a great guy. He is sort of

:24:08. > :24:12.unrecognised. He goes about his business and nobody talks him up. He

:24:13. > :24:16.is really physical, and he is a very good second row. We need him fit,

:24:17. > :24:20.especially if something happens with Luke Charteris will stop here is the

:24:21. > :24:24.natural successor. The latest on Luke Charteris is that he did not

:24:25. > :24:30.play this weekend. He is running at the moment, so fingers crossed he

:24:31. > :24:35.will be back in contention. We are blessed in the second row

:24:36. > :24:43.department. Before we move on to the Scarlet 's. We have talked about the

:24:44. > :24:48.expansive rugby they have been playing, and the new recruits. They

:24:49. > :24:54.looked sublime at times on Friday night. Most back lines, whether you

:24:55. > :25:00.are a ten or out wide, you would want King there because he creates

:25:01. > :25:04.space for others. His footballing ability, and he holds the ball up

:25:05. > :25:09.long enough to put others into space, and that's a gift. I think he

:25:10. > :25:17.has made a huge difference. Hadley parks, strong and powerful, never

:25:18. > :25:22.let you down, so I think you have a good mix in midfield. With Stephen

:25:23. > :25:28.Jones calling shots behind, he knows he can get the best out of them.

:25:29. > :25:32.Let's move on to the Blues and find out how they got on against Glasgow.

:25:33. > :25:40.First, the Dragons, pride to play for when they took on Munster.

:25:41. > :25:44.The Dragons haven't won all season on the road, but they are looking to

:25:45. > :25:45.do the double on Munster. Hallam Amos return to action after being

:25:46. > :26:00.released from the Wales squad. Williams, away. Donald coming in on

:26:01. > :26:08.the angle. Williams, keeping the movement going.

:26:09. > :26:18.Down, just short, by Adam Hughes. Williams, just held up by Harris.

:26:19. > :26:21.Chances still there for Munster. Agonising way short of the line.

:26:22. > :26:29.Dragons, just about holding out at the moment. Here come Munster again.

:26:30. > :26:39.Pounding away at the Dragons line. They claim the try. Trying to force

:26:40. > :26:48.the ball down, just get it on the line. First score after 80 minutes.

:26:49. > :26:54.Pods/ waiting underneath the Dragons post. Dragons know what's coming -

:26:55. > :27:09.can they stop it, though? Williams get it away to Scannell. His first

:27:10. > :27:13.try in the league. The ball pops back for Williams. The inside ball.

:27:14. > :27:20.Plenty of willing runners amongst the Munster pack. Williams, up to

:27:21. > :27:40.Foley. He is a replacement for chisel.

:27:41. > :27:45.Foley. He is a replacement for to cross well. -- Crosswell. The

:27:46. > :27:55.Wales squad make it look easy. Copeland looks miles offside. The

:27:56. > :28:03.decision had already been made. Tap and go from Pretorius. Has he got it

:28:04. > :29:42.Oh, he's lost it! That could be a Another one from Dell.

:29:43. > :29:50.Oh, he's lost it! That could be a chance for a Lee Jones. The chance

:29:51. > :29:57.is still on for Glasgow as we go into first-half stoppage time. A big

:29:58. > :30:15.surge from Tim Swinson. He looks to have gotten the ball down. There was

:30:16. > :30:17.Jones -- Scully coming in. There will be a scramble in the corner.

:30:18. > :30:36.Who has got the touch down their? Harvey wins the line-out at the

:30:37. > :30:47.front for Glasgow. Blues' yellow cards will reinvigorate the opposing

:30:48. > :30:51.side. They ploughed over. Blues will probably stick it up the jumper and

:30:52. > :31:04.look from their second try from the rolling maul max. -- rolling maul.

:31:05. > :31:08.Ten metres, 12 metres away. It is getting a bit disorganised on both

:31:09. > :31:16.sides. Garrett Smith tries to lay it back. There could be an overlap

:31:17. > :31:21.here. The Blues do have their bonus point try. The disappointment was

:31:22. > :31:29.the first half. It was so inaccurate, we didn't get anything

:31:30. > :31:33.going. We have played... It is unfortunate we gave ourselves too

:31:34. > :31:38.much to do in the second half. It is something we have said a couple of

:31:39. > :31:42.times this season. -- I have said. That victory keeps Glasgow in with a

:31:43. > :31:46.shout of defending their title. They stay in seventh, with two games in

:31:47. > :31:55.hand. No change in the play-off places. Leinster, Scarlet and

:31:56. > :32:05.Ulster, all competing hard. Munster move above Edinburgh, in fifth. Ian,

:32:06. > :32:11.that defeat for the Dragons, their fifth in a row in the competition.

:32:12. > :32:15.Marooned in 10th place, 19 point drift of European qualification.

:32:16. > :32:19.What has broken their with the Dragons, and what can be done to fix

:32:20. > :32:26.it? They don't have confidence. Those little 1% moments, the big

:32:27. > :32:31.moments. They would pride themselves at taking big fixtures and beating

:32:32. > :32:35.teams, but they are making uncharacteristic mistakes, which you

:32:36. > :32:41.could put down to confidence. Losing four bonus points in the last few

:32:42. > :32:46.games. It is hard when a team is low on confidence, how do you stab at

:32:47. > :32:52.back-up? They have a decent side, but it was like a fortress before.

:32:53. > :32:56.Everyone percent counted, and they're not doing that at the

:32:57. > :33:01.moment. How to change that round, I'm not sure. The Blues, Martin,

:33:02. > :33:07.their East Wales rivals. One place above them in the table. Danny was

:33:08. > :33:11.honest there, saying it was one of the worst first halves of the

:33:12. > :33:20.season. They probably have Mark Bennett to thank. How to finish a

:33:21. > :33:28.try. This is not how to finish. It looks a bit artificial. He doesn't

:33:29. > :33:32.want to dive onto it. Ultimately, it has cost Glasgow a bonus point. It

:33:33. > :33:36.was really tight to get into sixth place, and they are probably

:33:37. > :33:41.thinking top four because they have games in hand. It cost them their

:33:42. > :33:45.bonus point. The Blues, you cannot work them out this year. For the

:33:46. > :33:49.last ten minutes of every game, they come back and play brilliant rugby.

:33:50. > :33:55.It is another season where they will finish probably not the bottom

:33:56. > :33:59.placed Welsh region, but lots to work on over the summer. Is that

:34:00. > :34:03.your interpretation, Rob? They don't seem to be consistent? I think it

:34:04. > :34:08.is. They started off poorly for the majority of games that I have seen.

:34:09. > :34:13.They have always finished off well. Danny is right - when you have a

:34:14. > :34:20.spirit and a desire in the team to keep going for 80 minutes, that will

:34:21. > :34:24.augur well for the future. They have some good new recruits have come in,

:34:25. > :34:27.so I think it is about planning ahead. The site will get better and

:34:28. > :34:38.will develop. It was a fans' favourite -- it is a

:34:39. > :34:45.fans' favourite, Mr Craig Quinnell. Welcome.

:34:46. > :34:48.APPLAUSE I think it is fair to say you

:34:49. > :34:54.biggest ever star at the bar. You fill the space comfortably. When

:34:55. > :35:02.I came here tonight, they thought I was a bit of a bouncer, a barman.

:35:03. > :35:06.They will be having it in a bit. Security details, I like that. Let's

:35:07. > :35:11.talk about the Blues. It has been a nod season come as we have just

:35:12. > :35:14.discussed with the boys. I am not sure how much of an intimate

:35:15. > :35:18.interest you taking your former team, but what do you think of their

:35:19. > :35:21.development under Danny Wilson? Danny is making big changes. I spoke

:35:22. > :35:27.to him at the start of the season, and he came in with a new remit, he

:35:28. > :35:30.has taken charge and he is going to get the young players in. He will

:35:31. > :35:35.change how they operate in terms of the number of players in the squad.

:35:36. > :35:39.He is making a rod for his own back because he is saying, it is up to me

:35:40. > :35:44.now. He has a couple of seasons to do it. He has some good signings.

:35:45. > :35:51.But we don't have any big signings. We could do with a couple of big

:35:52. > :35:56.ones. Rees has gone to the Scarlet. He is Cardiff born and bred, a great

:35:57. > :36:00.player, and we need to keep them in the capital. We need to grow the

:36:01. > :36:04.team around people like him. It is a big disappointment, losing him. Some

:36:05. > :36:08.rumours that Bradley Davies might be on his way back to the Blues. Do you

:36:09. > :36:12.think he is the kind of signing that would benefit them? Definitely, but

:36:13. > :36:24.he has to be playing games. A lot of internationals coming back, they

:36:25. > :36:27.don't play many games. We need players who will come and play a lot

:36:28. > :36:30.of rugby. He has been at Wasps. It will be harder him to leave them,

:36:31. > :36:35.because I think they are the best rugby playing team in the country at

:36:36. > :36:39.the moment. They play great rugby. Let's talk about England versus

:36:40. > :36:42.Wales. With you behind the bar, there is only one clip to dig out

:36:43. > :36:48.from the archives. I think you know what's coming. Steve Hanley still

:36:49. > :36:56.has nightmares about this. Talk us through it.

:36:57. > :37:04.I think that was the end of Steve? 'S career. Yes, I think I started

:37:05. > :37:12.the trend of big winners in Welsh rugby! He could not quite get the

:37:13. > :37:15.players with Ireland and wasps. They look to up to me obviously and they

:37:16. > :37:29.are doing the business now. Fair play to them, they are doing well

:37:30. > :37:33.now. I think Steve himself said, he won two caps that day, his first and

:37:34. > :37:38.his last. They were saying, he is the new Jonah Lomu of English rugby,

:37:39. > :37:44.and then he broke his arm into places was not seen again. Good for

:37:45. > :37:49.him, though! I think he christened you the mad hippo that day. Hippo,

:37:50. > :37:59.rhino, anything which is big and fat and moves quickly. I am all over it!

:38:00. > :38:04.We're going to come back and talk to you later. But a quick word on next

:38:05. > :38:07.week. It is building up to be a classic. To all intents and

:38:08. > :38:13.purposes, it is a Championship decider. Are you excited? Very

:38:14. > :38:17.excited. The game will be decided in the second rows, like always.

:38:18. > :38:23.Nothing to do with the scrum halves. Is Joe Launchbury going to come back

:38:24. > :38:28.for England? Is look going to be fit for us? It is won and lost in the

:38:29. > :38:32.front five, jokes aside. We need to get a good line-out, because they

:38:33. > :38:37.have got a really good line-out. If Rob Evans can do a job on Dan Cole,

:38:38. > :38:41.we are in with a chance. But there is a lot of pressure on Rob Evans.

:38:42. > :38:45.If we can get parity in the scrum, even get our heads up, then we are

:38:46. > :38:51.in with a chance. England are playing good rugby, which is one

:38:52. > :38:54.thing Wales are not doing. It is going to be an exciting game. We

:38:55. > :39:04.will speak to you again before the end of the game. Thank you for now.

:39:05. > :39:10.Five games were played in the Principality Premiership yesterday.

:39:11. > :39:16.This is our round-up. Crosskeys travelled to Pontypridd looking for

:39:17. > :39:21.a red double over the champions. There was a straight red card for

:39:22. > :39:23.stamping. Despite being down to 14 men for the whole of the second

:39:24. > :39:29.half, Pontypridd extended their lead. Crosskeys could only come away

:39:30. > :39:35.with a losing bonus point. Ebbw Vale coach Nigel Davies faced his former

:39:36. > :39:45.club Lyn athlete and came away with a bonus point win. Five different

:39:46. > :39:55.players scored tries. -- his former club Llanelli three. -- than

:39:56. > :40:00.athlete. This one was nip and tuck all the way, and it took a penalty

:40:01. > :40:13.deep into injury time to separate the two sites. Cardiff were looking

:40:14. > :40:16.to hit back after their heavy defeat earlier in the season against the

:40:17. > :40:21.same opponents, and they took revenge yesterday. Wales

:40:22. > :40:30.international Aled brew crossed twice for the visitors. No

:40:31. > :40:42.relegation from the Premiership this year. But there was still plenty to

:40:43. > :40:46.play for, as Neath went looking for their first victory of the season.

:40:47. > :40:49.And they were looking like they were going to get it, before the Ravens

:40:50. > :41:03.had other ideas with a last-minute try. Neath remains rooted to the

:41:04. > :41:08.bottom. I am very pleased to say that we are now joined by former

:41:09. > :41:19.Wales and Ospreys captain and former British lion Ryan Jones. Welcome!

:41:20. > :41:22.Let's talk about your new job. Recently appointed head of rugby

:41:23. > :41:28.participation with the Welsh Rugby Union. What does your job entail? It

:41:29. > :41:33.is to champion the community game. I'm going to sit on the executive

:41:34. > :41:38.board of the Welsh Rugby Union and do just that. Martin Phillips has

:41:39. > :41:42.charged me and the team with opening the game up to more people, more

:41:43. > :41:46.often with more enjoyment, essentially. I am thoroughly

:41:47. > :41:51.enjoying it. I have been out and about and met some fantastic people.

:41:52. > :41:56.Welsh Rugby Union is in safe hands with people like this at the moment.

:41:57. > :42:03.One of your first initiatives is a survey, Shape Our Game. What do you

:42:04. > :42:08.hope to learn from the survey? We have gone out to the public. Nothing

:42:09. > :42:13.is off-limits. We have got to make sure we position are offering is the

:42:14. > :42:17.number one for our nation. That is the challenge. We are asking people

:42:18. > :42:22.to get in touch and fill in the form online. Look at our offering, make

:42:23. > :42:27.sure it is modern and it is what the people want. And people can still

:42:28. > :42:34.get in touch? Yes, it is still to the end of the month. If you have

:42:35. > :42:40.got five minutes, go and fill it in. A lot has been made recently of the

:42:41. > :42:45.question of safety in rugby, with the potential to and heckling at a

:42:46. > :42:50.certain age. What can Welsh rugby do to try to attract more people into

:42:51. > :42:57.the game with that in mind? I think the alternative is far worse. Kids

:42:58. > :43:05.not knowing this wonderful game is a far worse alternative. I think by

:43:06. > :43:09.creating a safe environment, with coaches, who are well coached, rugby

:43:10. > :43:18.is as safe as it has ever been. Player welfare is number one. One

:43:19. > :43:22.way to track participation is the very successful Wales team. You

:43:23. > :43:28.yourself have had plenty of success with Wales. And you have had success

:43:29. > :43:33.at Twickenham, of course. What do Wales need to do? I think it will be

:43:34. > :43:39.more of the same, if I am honest. It has not been pretty, but it is

:43:40. > :43:43.winning rugby, which is important. The great discipline in defence they

:43:44. > :43:47.have shown, with a good set piece, will hold them in good stead.

:43:48. > :43:52.England have shown glimpses of some good stuff over the last few weeks.

:43:53. > :43:56.I have shown huge improvement certainly from the World Cup. It

:43:57. > :44:02.will be a hell of an encounter. Thank you joining us and good luck

:44:03. > :44:09.with your job. Let's get another view now from across the bridge.

:44:10. > :44:13.This week, England have decamped to the Georgian splendour of Bath, a

:44:14. > :44:23.city with a rich rugby heritage and home to scrum five's favourite in

:44:24. > :44:28.Richmond. -- favourite Englishman. Eddie is showing his experience,

:44:29. > :44:36.taking it in his stride, and what he is thinking is coming out of his

:44:37. > :44:40.mouth. 99% of the time, it has been enjoyable and it has been different.

:44:41. > :44:44.With Eddie, we do not know what he is going to say. And it is fairly

:44:45. > :44:49.amusing. Banning himself is not good news for us in the media. We want to

:44:50. > :44:54.know what he is thinking. But in his way, he said, I want to give

:44:55. > :44:59.Borthwick and the others a chance to face the media. I do not believe it

:45:00. > :45:02.will be anywhere near as exciting, but nice experience for them. If I

:45:03. > :45:08.was coach, I would think about putting Owen at ten and bringing

:45:09. > :45:15.Manu Tuilagi back in. It poses more questions and will make the Welsh

:45:16. > :45:19.defence think more. With Owen Farrell, he will very rarely go down

:45:20. > :45:23.that channel so you can spread your defence. England have been

:45:24. > :45:28.successful at the moment with that partnership. They have scored a

:45:29. > :45:36.number of tries with the phase play. Manu Tuilagi would not be able to do

:45:37. > :45:42.that. You can look at the Welsh attack and you can see how deep Dan

:45:43. > :45:45.Biggar stands. You cannot attack of that, really. It is really difficult

:45:46. > :45:50.as a centre if your fly half is standing so deep. It brings the

:45:51. > :45:52.defence onto you. That is why I think they might change it up a bit,

:45:53. > :45:57.and have two attacking lines. think they might change it up a bit,

:45:58. > :45:58.Biggar will not be controlling both sides.

:45:59. > :46:25.with a different attack. Two Lupe is world-class. Right now he is in my

:46:26. > :46:28.opinion the best in the world at No 8. There is no reason why he cannot

:46:29. > :48:12.do what Billy does, in a different way.

:48:13. > :48:17.finishing and...! But for this group of players, they can go out full of

:48:18. > :48:20.confidence. England will be confident as well, a lot more than

:48:21. > :48:25.they were in the World Cup. They just seem to be pulling in the right

:48:26. > :48:30.direction now. Eddie Jones is a great coach, he has got them all off

:48:31. > :48:33.the same hymn sheet. Whereas under Lancaster in the World Cup, they

:48:34. > :48:37.made a few changes just before us and there was confusion. They will

:48:38. > :48:41.not be confused this time, they will be well drilled and confident. There

:48:42. > :48:45.has been a lot of speculation about potential changes that England might

:48:46. > :48:51.make. Manu Tuilagi has been much talked about. Will he come back,

:48:52. > :48:56.will he start at 12? He scored a try today for Leicester, as they beat

:48:57. > :49:00.Exeter in the Aviva Premiership. But that is exactly what they did wrong

:49:01. > :49:04.before the Wales game in the World Cup, making no changes in the

:49:05. > :49:08.midfield, which backfired? I don't think they will make many changes.

:49:09. > :49:12.There is still a debate at scrum-half. I think Danny Care is a

:49:13. > :49:16.better player. Tuilagi is a big man and when he plays well, here's a

:49:17. > :49:20.force be reckoned with. They will be concerned in terms of Jamie Roberts

:49:21. > :49:29.and what he has done in the first two games of this Championship. They

:49:30. > :49:34.will try and nullify that. The Eddie Jones factor will be, he does his

:49:35. > :49:41.homework very well. He did it for Japan during the World Cup. He will

:49:42. > :49:47.understand Wales, how they play. We all know the way we play. But he

:49:48. > :49:51.will try to stop Wales getting ascendancy in key areas. Tuilagi on

:49:52. > :49:56.the bench could offer you that if things are not going well. We saw

:49:57. > :50:04.the Joe Worsley scenario a few years ago. There is a number of things

:50:05. > :50:09.which might be a bit front from what we have seen from England so far. At

:50:10. > :50:14.I think England are getting better. They're going to be a very good

:50:15. > :50:18.side. We have spoken about the tight five, and who will get superiority

:50:19. > :50:22.up front. What have you made so far of the Welsh tight five, with Rob

:50:23. > :50:27.Evans taking to international rugby. Do you think he will have a go at

:50:28. > :50:33.Dan Cole? Yes, for sure. He is a tenacious character. I think they

:50:34. > :50:40.did it right with him. The first game, Ireland, they blooded him. I

:50:41. > :50:44.think he had to take his lungs up at about six to five minutes. And then

:50:45. > :50:53.Scotland. So he has had a nice introduction. And he has come on

:50:54. > :50:56.every game. He is comfortable now. He will go right for him, which is

:50:57. > :51:01.what you have to do every game anyway. Plenty of battle to save

:51:02. > :51:10.over pitch, perhaps none more so than the Titanic tussle which is set

:51:11. > :51:16.to unfold it rained the two No 8s. Forces are the agents of change in

:51:17. > :51:19.the universe... Two males fought as a team to drive off their

:51:20. > :51:29.predecessors, and they will fight again... This is not the time to

:51:30. > :51:34.lose your nerve. All things fall at the same rate

:51:35. > :51:40.under gravity, but do not meet the same fate when they hit the ground.

:51:41. > :51:49.As night falls, the balance of power will shift... Faletau comes away

:51:50. > :51:54.with it, and scores! The force of gravity is THE force which I really

:51:55. > :52:02.feel the effects of. These are tense times.

:52:03. > :52:11.Yes, Cheadle want to look forward to. We heard he is Guscott saying

:52:12. > :52:16.Faletau is the best No 8 in world rugby. Him against Billy Vunipola is

:52:17. > :52:23.one to relish. Immense. Both of them are different No 8s. I think Taulupe

:52:24. > :52:29.is a more complete player. Vunipola is just a force of nature. They gave

:52:30. > :52:35.him the ball and he gets over the gain line. He has been England's

:52:36. > :52:41.standout player now. You cannot man mark Billy Vunipola. But we have got

:52:42. > :52:48.a very strong defensive setup. They will have something up their sleeve

:52:49. > :52:52.to stop him in particular. I would expect the same back row for Wales

:52:53. > :52:59.with Lydiard, Warburton and Taulupe. And I think that is perfect against

:53:00. > :53:02.Vunipola. A lot has been made of the irresistible Vunipola, but the Welsh

:53:03. > :53:07.back row is probably one of the best defensive units in the world? Yes,

:53:08. > :53:11.they are fantastic. The default, we have built all of our success on

:53:12. > :53:16.defence. But if we are going to man mark him, that will open him up. He

:53:17. > :53:22.has got a great set of hands as well. Haskell could come into it.

:53:23. > :53:26.And Jamie Joseph as well. So if you put too many people on him, he can

:53:27. > :53:34.put others into space. It will be really interesting. I just hope best

:53:35. > :53:39.team wins. What about comparisons with your brother? I don't know, he

:53:40. > :53:41.is a different animal altogether. Those boys train and they do

:53:42. > :53:55.weights... LAUGHTER

:53:56. > :53:59.They run a lot more upright than Scott did. His centre of gravity was

:54:00. > :54:06.so low, it was really hard to get him down. With those guys, they are

:54:07. > :54:11.upright and they can off-load. It is going to be quite a tussle. Rob,

:54:12. > :54:16.what about those of our silence which Eddie Jones has said he will

:54:17. > :54:22.do? It has been one of the best sideshows of the Six Nations so far,

:54:23. > :54:26.Eddie Jones' press conferences. Surely he will not keep his mouth

:54:27. > :54:33.shut all week? We will have to wait and see. It is just part of Six

:54:34. > :54:38.Nations. We have had it from Warren Gatland. I think he will probably

:54:39. > :54:43.stick to it. I don't think he wants to get caught out. He will allow

:54:44. > :54:46.Warren to carry on and do what he does. I think he will be very

:54:47. > :54:51.focused on this game, because this is the first real challenge as

:54:52. > :54:55.England coach for him. I think he feels he has the resources available

:54:56. > :55:00.to him to go on and win this Six Nations. But I doubt it. Are we in

:55:01. > :55:05.danger of giving England a bit too much respect? And what do you think

:55:06. > :55:10.of the history between this Welsh squad and the English squad? The

:55:11. > :55:15.Welsh have always spoiled the party for England? For sure. When someone

:55:16. > :55:21.says, we are confident at the moment, to cover up how unconfident

:55:22. > :55:27.they are. Yes, they are winning. But they have not been amazing. They

:55:28. > :55:31.have not been looking like a pool of unbeatable team. And they will be

:55:32. > :55:37.never is. With the likes of Scott Williams scoring from 30 metres, the

:55:38. > :55:42.Gareth Davies try. Lee Burge and Mike Phillips scoring quick tries.

:55:43. > :55:51.We have always come and struck them on the counter. It will be an epic

:55:52. > :56:00.game. Wales to win? Yes. Confident? Can you ever be confident?! It will

:56:01. > :56:07.be a great game. But yes, a a big moment from a player would be the

:56:08. > :56:11.snatching point. Rob? I will go for Wales. It will be tight but I think

:56:12. > :56:15.we are more settled. We have been there. We are not playing great

:56:16. > :56:18.rugby but it is successful, certainly in the northern

:56:19. > :56:23.hemisphere, and I think we will do it. Martin, a few weeks ago, you

:56:24. > :56:28.said England would win the championship. Are they going to win

:56:29. > :56:31.this game? I have got to stick to my guns. I think home advantage,

:56:32. > :56:37.England will just make it on Saturday. Will he get out of here

:56:38. > :56:41.alive?! What a strange note to end on, Martyn Williams predicting an

:56:42. > :56:44.England victory. I will ask you to give him a round of applause,

:56:45. > :56:54.nevertheless. Martyn Williams! Rob Jones! Ian Gough! Our star at the

:56:55. > :57:01.bar, Craig Quinnell! And of course, Ryan Jones! So, Twickenham next. If

:57:02. > :34:45.Wales go there and win, they will
