:00:14. > :00:21.It's time to shift your focus from this trophy to this one. It is the

:00:22. > :00:26.weekend when allegiances turned from country to club, ask not what you

:00:27. > :00:30.can do for your country but what your club can do for you. Dan

:00:31. > :00:36.Lydiate help to win back his Wales shirt and could he of the Ospreys

:00:37. > :00:41.climb into the top six? The Scarlets welcome back Alan Davies, helping

:00:42. > :00:48.them to topple high-flying old stuff. Can he fired the Dragons to

:00:49. > :00:52.their first away victory? In Cardiff, the Blues were looking to

:00:53. > :00:58.bounce back after a botched Italian job last week. An international game

:00:59. > :00:59.-- another game with an international subplot. Players

:01:00. > :01:02.battling it out on the Welsh wing. Good evening and welcome

:01:03. > :01:04.to the programme. Jonathan Davies and Martyn Williams

:01:05. > :01:07.join us in studio this evening. We'll be reviewing

:01:08. > :01:09.the weekend's Pro12 action - and looking ahead to

:01:10. > :01:11.Wales against France. And we'll also have

:01:12. > :01:13.action from the only Principality Premiership match this

:01:14. > :01:15.weekend and Rick has also been All that to come, but we'll

:01:16. > :01:19.kick things off tonight, with this afternoon's match

:01:20. > :01:33.at the Kingspan Stadium. Two of the top four met in Belfast

:01:34. > :01:34.earlier today. The Scarlets with Alan Davies back at scrum-half along

:01:35. > :01:51.with Alan Thomas. COMMENTATOR: Edwards, still

:01:52. > :01:55.therefore the Scarlets, going through the phases. Lovely off-load.

:01:56. > :01:57.Surely it will be the opening try in the game? Over they go, good work.

:01:58. > :02:11.Michael Collins. Marshall to Jackson, flat ball,

:02:12. > :02:18.works a little wrap around and eventually worked their way out.

:02:19. > :02:26.Gilroy, good step up and what a try that is. Well worked. It is owing

:02:27. > :02:32.again, step from the base, beats two players. Thomas also does the same.

:02:33. > :02:39.A little step from John. Still playing advantage. Wide ball. Kane

:02:40. > :02:45.puts the ball out to Collins, can the full-back get over? Yes, he can.

:02:46. > :02:52.The foot comes through from Phil John.

:02:53. > :03:00.He goes on the outside, Luke, what a tackle, coming across. They will go

:03:01. > :03:11.upstairs surely. There is the tackle. You only need to listen to

:03:12. > :03:16.the crowd. Still there, that has to come back. Hands wide, is the call

:03:17. > :03:22.from the referee. Thomas, Regan King. Can the centre get over?

:03:23. > :03:30.Flicks it over the top, it has gone forward. Knock-on, is the call.

:03:31. > :03:40.Good off-load in midfield. King down that far side. Opportunity. The

:03:41. > :03:44.player dragged over that touchline, as he get the ball in play? Yes, the

:03:45. > :03:53.Canadian international did exceptionally well. Wilson as ever

:03:54. > :03:56.in there, making a nuisance of himself and it will go to the

:03:57. > :04:05.pocket. The referee has had enough, it will be a yellow card. Chris

:04:06. > :04:11.Henry. A big kick. From Thomas. He adds another three points.

:04:12. > :04:17.Very happy with the defence, we did not have much territory but this one

:04:18. > :04:25.was very good today. The penalty count was very low for us. For the

:04:26. > :04:30.first time in eight years, the Scarlets have won in Belfast, only

:04:31. > :04:34.the second time they have done so in regional history. That is a huge

:04:35. > :04:40.statement. I thought it was a brilliant game and they both brought

:04:41. > :04:45.good things to play. Full house, a great advert for the Pro12. They

:04:46. > :04:49.hung on towards the end because they were under pressure. It is a

:04:50. > :04:53.fantastic result, with a lot of injuries. More than anything,

:04:54. > :04:57.defensively, we said about the discipline being good but

:04:58. > :05:02.defensively, I know they have leaked tries, but they were solid today.

:05:03. > :05:06.Three of us watched it together and in the last two minutes, they turned

:05:07. > :05:11.down three points and went for the corner and almost conspired to lose

:05:12. > :05:15.it. They had the opportunity to go for goal, even if they had missed

:05:16. > :05:20.the kick, they would have got the ball back for the 22. They knocked

:05:21. > :05:23.the ball on, gave Ulster a chance but don't take anything away from

:05:24. > :05:30.them. It is such a tough place to go. All of them were so comfortable

:05:31. > :05:36.with ball in hand and attacked really well. And you cannot overlook

:05:37. > :05:40.the defensive effort, it was huge. We talked defence and discipline and

:05:41. > :05:49.you mentioned attack. Both teams playing with attacking intent. It is

:05:50. > :05:53.just definite. The touch and the variety and good angles of running,

:05:54. > :05:59.the simplicity of the break and they give and take. Regan King has lost a

:06:00. > :06:04.yard but his brain is still very sharp. They just want to play and

:06:05. > :06:07.they do the right things and I do feel that this is a significant

:06:08. > :06:11.moment for the Scarlets because they have lost a couple of games but

:06:12. > :06:16.again, skips around the outside, they blew a couple of chances as

:06:17. > :06:21.well. They could have put the game safe. But I think with the weather

:06:22. > :06:24.conditions hopefully getting better, and some of their players coming

:06:25. > :06:29.back, I think they are in a very good position at the moment. When

:06:30. > :06:36.the Scarlets signed Andy parks in particular, you have been

:06:37. > :06:41.phenomenal. He has been consistent, makes the right decision. It is only

:06:42. > :06:46.a hefty boot downfield but it was the perfect timing, a couple of the

:06:47. > :06:53.Scarlets youngsters wanted to play but he said no, let's just get it

:06:54. > :06:56.down there. We looked at, Watt topping the table and playing so

:06:57. > :07:00.well this season but almost expecting them to start to slip

:07:01. > :07:05.away. The Scarlets, they have the likes of Scott Williams and all of

:07:06. > :07:09.their internationals coming back and they like to play in the wide

:07:10. > :07:13.channels, there is no reason they cannot go all the way. Their target

:07:14. > :07:22.has to be top two wrote. When you want that home semifinal. I bumped

:07:23. > :07:26.into Steven Jones last week and he said at the start of the year, the

:07:27. > :07:30.intent was top four but now, they are looking at a top two to get a

:07:31. > :07:35.home semifinal draw so the way they have played and developed, I think

:07:36. > :07:42.top two is a realistic target for them. Andy parks will saying the

:07:43. > :07:48.same thing as well. They are well on course, moving up to third. Ospreys

:07:49. > :07:52.at home on Friday night, looking to make it seven victories in nine. The

:07:53. > :07:58.Ospreys knew a victory over Edinburgh could come tell them into

:07:59. > :08:03.the top six. They had a handful of internationals to help them. Dan

:08:04. > :08:08.Lydiate slotting into the back row. Canadian flyer Jeff Hassler also

:08:09. > :08:19.back in action. JJ N'Gog Brecht making his first home start.

:08:20. > :08:24.-- Engelbrercht. COMMENTATOR: Lydiate lost the ball to Sammut

:08:25. > :08:30.beard. It is all defence for the Ospreys again when they thought they

:08:31. > :08:31.were going to clear the lines. They could be found wanting as Edinburgh

:08:32. > :08:47.surge forward. A highly ball, just took the steam

:08:48. > :08:50.out of it for a second. Kennedy. Tonks, straight through, Nicky Smith

:08:51. > :08:59.dragged him back but the off-load gives a try to Alan Del.

:09:00. > :09:08.Leonard through the blindside, Sam Davies, a little chip from him. John

:09:09. > :09:09.gets there. Sam Underhill and from absolutely nothing, a try is

:09:10. > :09:26.conjured. He is delighted. Typical Dan Lydiate tackle. He is

:09:27. > :09:38.giving him a yellow card as well. He wants to see the TMA on. -- TMO. I

:09:39. > :09:48.think that is very harsh. That is harsh.

:09:49. > :09:59.Cracknell slips it away. They ride the tackle and get the try that

:10:00. > :10:06.makes victory absolutely safe for the Ospreys.

:10:07. > :10:13.Edinburgh have only conceded 14 tries all season, we knew it would

:10:14. > :10:15.be tough. It is something you have two win ugly sometimes and I thought

:10:16. > :10:21.the boys did really well in the second half. A remarkable turnaround

:10:22. > :10:27.by the Ospreys, having lost five of their last six and having won now

:10:28. > :10:30.seven of the last nine. So many of their young and fringe players have

:10:31. > :10:35.stepped up in the absence of the internationals. How impressed have

:10:36. > :10:38.you been by those players? Very impressed, especially

:10:39. > :10:46.you been by those players? Very this time of

:10:47. > :10:49.you been by those players? Very had an industrious game. Oliver

:10:50. > :10:52.Cracknell came on in the second half and he carried the ball a few times

:10:53. > :10:57.within the first three minutes of being on. The bench made a huge

:10:58. > :11:07.impact. Ben John could have gone man on the match.

:11:08. > :11:11.It is important for the Ospreys if they are to take that next stop. --

:11:12. > :12:51.step. They they are to take that next stop. --

:12:52. > :12:55.New Year's day. How did you rate his performance? People have to realise,

:12:56. > :13:01.it is quite difficult sometimes when you have been away with the

:13:02. > :13:04.international set,... He probably had a couple of sessions with the

:13:05. > :13:08.Ospreys, and he will have been desperate to impress. All in all,

:13:09. > :13:13.the most important thing for him is to get 80 minutes... 70 minutes

:13:14. > :13:18.under his belt because he had a yellow card. He will be happy with

:13:19. > :13:22.his performance. Hugely controversial decision, that yellow

:13:23. > :13:27.card. This is what Dan Lydiate is renowned for. His arm is in the

:13:28. > :13:37.tackle. The arm is out again, the intent is

:13:38. > :13:39.there. When you teach kids to tackle, the first thing you hit in

:13:40. > :13:49.the tackle is your shoulder. You drive with your shoulder. If you

:13:50. > :13:55.drive with your arm, you will break your arm. I don't really understand

:13:56. > :14:00.why all of a sudden, calling it the chop tackle is one thing, whoever

:14:01. > :14:05.made that up, I have no idea. I just think that some of these tackles...

:14:06. > :14:10.The referees look for things now. That wasn't a penalty and it was not

:14:11. > :14:16.a yellow card. All the people coming in on social media with their own

:14:17. > :14:20.opinions, saying it makes the game safe. We have played for a long time

:14:21. > :14:26.and the player safety is priority. But it is a contact sport, tackles

:14:27. > :14:29.will be made with the shoulder. Sometimes if you hit them with the

:14:30. > :14:32.shoulder and the intent is to put your arms around, sometimes you arms

:14:33. > :14:38.don't go around because the player moves away from you. It is very

:14:39. > :14:42.difficult. It is tough. But I think we are making situations for

:14:43. > :14:45.referees and they have to referee everything and they are under the

:14:46. > :14:50.microscope and it ends up being ridiculous. Yellow card, yes or no?

:14:51. > :14:56.Penalty, yes or no? No. Moving onto the Blues -

:14:57. > :14:59.and they were thankful for their 4G pitch yesterday as they had

:15:00. > :15:02.to battle not just Leinster, but the elements, at a rain-soaked

:15:03. > :15:11.and wind-blown Cardiff Arms Park. After last week's defeat to bottom

:15:12. > :15:15.placed to Visa, Gareth Anscombe, Lloyd Williams, Josh Turnbull and

:15:16. > :15:19.Alex Cuthbert were back to bolster the Blues's line-up against Leinster

:15:20. > :15:28.side who had just lost once in nine games.

:15:29. > :15:35.COMMENTATOR: into the second quarter and still on terms. Cardiff Blues,

:15:36. > :15:39.despite playing into the teeth of this gale, Madigan looking for the

:15:40. > :15:44.wide option. Tries to kick it through and it is snapped up by

:15:45. > :15:53.McFadden. Did he get that one down? Definite drop, rate cover tackle. --

:15:54. > :16:01.great cover tackle. Alex Cuthbert. Beautiful run from him. Making 30-40

:16:02. > :16:06.metres upfield and finding support. Can they get an inside ball? Lloyd

:16:07. > :16:11.Williams is motoring, he is smashed down. There is nothing wrong with

:16:12. > :16:34.that. That is a yellow card offence. Another Blues scrum in reverse.

:16:35. > :16:40.Handscomb fumbles. It is a kick and chase that has been knocked on by

:16:41. > :16:44.both sides. Is that Cory Allen? In a little bit of pain. You can see him

:16:45. > :16:56.wincing. That is not good news for Wales. Reddan sees his kick heading

:16:57. > :17:01.backwards. Not a day for box kicking into the wind. As Lloyd Williams

:17:02. > :17:04.found out on one occasion in the first half. That is the break

:17:05. > :17:12.though, from:. He looks the support. The first try, unopposed. 58 minutes

:17:13. > :17:28.gone. Short and flat, that is one way. The

:17:29. > :17:36.Blues within two metres of the line with five minutes left. They

:17:37. > :17:42.stretched and get the ball down and Cardiff Blues have at Alaska, earned

:17:43. > :17:49.themselves a lifeline. -- have at last. Patch is now back in the

:17:50. > :17:54.pocket. He might fancy a drop goal for glory. He is under pressure as

:17:55. > :18:01.he is charged down. The ball is spinning around and it is still

:18:02. > :18:10.alive. The drop goal chance has now gone for the time being.

:18:11. > :18:19.No, there is the last chance gone for Cardiff Blues. Despair for the

:18:20. > :18:23.home side. STUDIO: You rather suspect the Blues will be kicking

:18:24. > :18:28.themselves at not managing to win that game. Defeat in awful weather.

:18:29. > :18:31.We will talk about game management but just on the positives, whether

:18:32. > :18:36.like that, you need your ball carriers to stand up and be counted.

:18:37. > :18:40.The weather made a lottery of the game in many ways. This player was

:18:41. > :19:00.outstanding. Going in at half-time 6-3 down, you

:19:01. > :19:04.would have taken that, but they have lost their shape and discipline and

:19:05. > :19:08.game management in the second half. They thought they had done enough in

:19:09. > :19:14.the first half. That seemed to coincide with the departure of

:19:15. > :19:18.Gareth Anscombe. I couldn't understand why, if they had to take

:19:19. > :19:21.him off because of the Welsh team situation, but going back to the

:19:22. > :19:27.club, the club must dictate when the player can come off or on. It is

:19:28. > :19:34.your livelihood. The Blues are in a situation where they want to win

:19:35. > :19:39.every game. The union apparently requested that he only play 40, 50

:19:40. > :19:43.minutes. That is to the detriment of the region. If you are in a tight

:19:44. > :19:47.game and you want him to control the game, to win the game, hopefully

:19:48. > :19:52.that they would understand that it was a difficult situation. The Blues

:19:53. > :19:57.that every thing right. First half, they kept it tight, they were just

:19:58. > :20:03.three points behind. That game was there to win. In the second half,

:20:04. > :20:08.with the wind is so strong, they played the whole game on the

:20:09. > :20:12.Leinster 22. You drop goal, you wait for mistakes and penalties and you

:20:13. > :20:18.win the game, just because the wind at your back. And it didn't happen.

:20:19. > :20:22.And the breakaway, this one tried. They are short on the right-hand

:20:23. > :20:31.side, the short side, No. 8 picks the ball up, and he is away. What

:20:32. > :20:38.you have to do here is, he has to go with him, Fish. The trouble is, if

:20:39. > :20:43.he takes out the full-back, the No. 8 will be caught with the Blues

:20:44. > :20:47.pressing. Little things like that make such a big difference. With

:20:48. > :20:50.Gareth Anscombe going off, not playing the game on the right areas,

:20:51. > :20:55.not taking opportunities when they were there, and then, that one

:20:56. > :20:59.mistake and try for Leinster takes the game away from them. It was

:21:00. > :21:06.there for them to win. It was an easy win for them. We talked about

:21:07. > :21:11.the Dan Lydiate yellow card and penalty, Fergus McFadden met a

:21:12. > :21:18.similar fate. To me, again, it was no penalty. He was looking to wrap

:21:19. > :21:25.both arms. If anybody's going to do damage themselves, Fergus McCann --

:21:26. > :21:28.Fergus McFadden. Like Jonathan said earlier, sometimes people don't

:21:29. > :21:35.understand, if you make a good contact with your shoulder, the

:21:36. > :21:39.player bounces off, and you cannot simultaneously try. I think the

:21:40. > :21:43.referee has gone to see on the TMO and given it has yellow card. I'm

:21:44. > :21:49.not sure, there should be different rules on this one. Those decisions

:21:50. > :21:54.are crucial. And it could be people's livelihoods, at the end of

:21:55. > :21:58.the day. They are on about the refereeing in the Pro12 that is not

:21:59. > :22:04.consistent, not good. Nigel Owens is there on Friday night on the

:22:05. > :22:09.touchline, and then he is refereeing up in Swansea. The best referees

:22:10. > :22:15.have got to referee the best games in the Pro12. I don't understand why

:22:16. > :22:18.the best referees are not refereeing the best games. Those decisions, at

:22:19. > :22:24.the end of the day, are crucial for the regions. Let's move on to the

:22:25. > :22:28.Dragons. And for Lyn Jones and his men it was a trip to Treviso.

:22:29. > :22:35.Dragons travel to Treviso looking for their first away win of the

:22:36. > :22:40.season. Adam Amos was back. On the other wing, Ashton Hewitt was

:22:41. > :22:47.looking to continue his red-hot streak of form.

:22:48. > :22:55.Treviso, looking to get some with honour. And it comes to Esposito.

:22:56. > :23:03.The Dragons to fence is all over the place. -- defence. Esposito with the

:23:04. > :23:10.try. The worst possible start for Dragons. Nick cut has the ball very

:23:11. > :23:20.firmly up the jumper. Pretorius directing operations. Cross well in,

:23:21. > :23:23.for a bit of extra momentum. Lovely inside ball. Hallam Amos on the

:23:24. > :23:32.switch. And the young winger is through for the try to impress

:23:33. > :23:46.Warren Gatland. Treviso, crashing away, taking Route one in this last

:23:47. > :23:52.minute of the first half. Paulo has got it down. The former Blues man

:23:53. > :23:58.with his first league try for Treviso. And it goes outside to

:23:59. > :24:11.Hayward. Hayward, still going. Nic Cudd in with the tackle. Almost up

:24:12. > :24:18.to the Dragons 22. Away by Lucchese. Christie, popping up in the centre.

:24:19. > :24:28.Christie, it goes past one tackle, through the tackle from Ben Wright,

:24:29. > :24:37.and Treviso, they extend their lead. Nic Cudd, barrelling forward. One

:24:38. > :24:44.metre out. Davis waits. Away to Cory Hill. He has got a down and the

:24:45. > :24:50.Dragons are back in it on the hour mark. And that is back in the

:24:51. > :24:57.pocket, the youngster goes the glory with a drop goal. It has rattled the

:24:58. > :25:03.post and it is bouncing loose. It is coming back on the visitors' side.

:25:04. > :25:09.Davis, aching it out. Amos with the chance to go for the corner. He is

:25:10. > :25:17.in touch, and time running out on the Dragons. Dragons had chances at

:25:18. > :25:23.the end but failed to cross the line. Two wins out of two for

:25:24. > :25:29.Treviso after losing run of 26 games in competitions. We won't dwell too

:25:30. > :25:35.much on the defeat, James. Hallam Amos making a return to the Dragons,

:25:36. > :25:40.released from the Wales squad. And showing Warren Gatland what he is

:25:41. > :25:45.capable of. Yes, that is a nice try for him. Nice to get him back

:25:46. > :25:51.playing. They will be disappointed. Not to win that game. People talking

:25:52. > :25:56.about Jones and Cuthbert wing for the Blues and both playing for that

:25:57. > :26:02.vacant wing spot, would have steam ahead of them, for you? He is

:26:03. > :26:07.certainly different. More creative probably, than the other two. I

:26:08. > :26:12.think Warren Gatland has said that he sees him going forward as a 15.

:26:13. > :26:16.So he thinks he is not ready or quick enough for the wing. Anyone

:26:17. > :26:22.else that you could chuck into the mix? We need somebody to break the

:26:23. > :26:26.game up. We play a very structured game and we try to evolve and go

:26:27. > :26:33.wider, but if we have got a problem on that win, I would throw in Martin

:26:34. > :26:39.Morgan. We need somebody to break up that first line of defence and then

:26:40. > :26:44.go wide. So I'm thinking, he plays full-back for Wales, why not maybe

:26:45. > :26:51.put him on the wing and see what happens? Matthew Morgan onto the

:26:52. > :26:56.wing for Wales against France. We will talk about that selection

:26:57. > :27:00.later. Two other sorts to bring you from the weekend. Glasgow return to

:27:01. > :27:05.winning ways with a timely victory over Munster. A hat-trick of tries

:27:06. > :27:11.from Matt Healy helped, not to lay comprehensive victory over Zebre in

:27:12. > :27:18.Parma. That victory returned Connacht to the top of the table.

:27:19. > :27:23.Those spots seem to change the week. Scarlets have leapfrogged Ulster.

:27:24. > :27:28.That top four is by no means a closed shop. All of the teams

:27:29. > :27:33.beneath them still firmly in contention, Laszlo still with two

:27:34. > :27:38.games in hand. That is the Pro12 wrapped up. Over to Beth and it was

:27:39. > :27:43.a challenging weekend for the Premiership sides. Just one game

:27:44. > :27:47.played in the Principality Premiership because of a very wet

:27:48. > :27:53.weather. It was Newport against Bridgend. Despite Rodney Parade

:27:54. > :27:57.being the home of three different teams and with the pitch having

:27:58. > :28:09.problems this season it was the only ground passed fit to play yesterday.

:28:10. > :28:12.Frewin led out Newport on his 100th appearance. The ravens, without a

:28:13. > :28:19.win in the Premiership since November, had a terrible start. The

:28:20. > :28:24.opening try came after two minutes, then the black and amber side

:28:25. > :28:28.doubled their lead. Despite the conditions, both sides were looking

:28:29. > :28:34.to play attacking rugby. This converted try got the visitors back

:28:35. > :28:39.in the game. A line-out and drive gave Newport the lead of 24-8. Then

:28:40. > :28:43.they turned red for the second half, different colours, but the same

:28:44. > :28:51.result. Claiming a bonus point. As conditions worsened, after 80

:28:52. > :28:58.minutes, it was the black and ambers who took four points. Newport have

:28:59. > :28:59.gone top ahead of Pontypridd with just three points separating the top

:29:00. > :29:09.five teams. So Rick has been

:29:10. > :29:26.where he met It

:29:27. > :29:34.the top end of the game. I have been talking to Llanelli Warriors, which

:29:35. > :29:40.were formed to help people with learning difficulties played a game.

:29:41. > :29:43.They have a challenge from a similar side in Swansea, the gladiators.

:29:44. > :29:49.Then they played home and away sides. We have boys without

:29:50. > :31:25.disabilities but half of them have got a disability.

:31:26. > :31:31.disabilities but half of them have rugby for anything. It has was been

:31:32. > :31:35.thought of as an inclusive game. It has been described as the thinking

:31:36. > :31:42.men's game, but it is a game for everybody. You cannot just go flat

:31:43. > :31:47.out and commitment. You have got to give people a bit of space. They

:31:48. > :31:56.have to try and process what to do next.

:31:57. > :32:11.Scarlets? Yes! They have all got Blues shirts. Just wanted to pot in

:32:12. > :32:16.and say, well done, mate. It shows that people get this. They get it,

:32:17. > :32:20.they get what it is about. It is about the experience for these boys.

:32:21. > :32:25.Coming up to Cardiff is one on its own and playing on this pitch

:32:26. > :32:28.against a different type of side. I don't care what people say about

:32:29. > :32:33.this ability is because at the end of the day, we have lots of people

:32:34. > :32:44.coming to us and telling others what a good job we have done.

:32:45. > :32:55.If you would like to find out more about integrated rugby, you can go

:32:56. > :32:58.onto the website... Sir Ian Botham, the former England Test cricketer,

:32:59. > :33:05.his grandson James played a training match for Wales against St Helens at

:33:06. > :33:10.Leicester Academy. The squad is excited be announced tomorrow to

:33:11. > :33:15.face France next month. Before we go on to discuss Wales against France,

:33:16. > :33:19.Jonathan Davies and Luke Charteris missed games at the weekend due to

:33:20. > :33:24.injury. I spoke to a member of the coaching staff at Clermont with

:33:25. > :33:30.regard to Davies' groin injury. They said that the situation is ongoing

:33:31. > :33:41.and complicated. We have not heard back from Luke Charteris's club

:33:42. > :33:47.about his injury. We spoke to Luke Charteris on radio in the week and

:33:48. > :33:50.he played down his knee injury. Hopefully it is not something we

:33:51. > :33:55.should be too concerned about what we will talk about Wales selection

:33:56. > :34:06.now because Wales against France is just five days away. JJ Williams has

:34:07. > :34:23.scored! Martyn Williams! Yes! So, let's talk selection. Worst case

:34:24. > :34:30.scenario, Jonathan Davies does not make it. Does George North just

:34:31. > :34:33.slide in at 13 against the French? Especially with Cory Allen going off

:34:34. > :34:38.again yesterday. Just fingers crossed Jonathan is, it is only more

:34:39. > :34:44.of a tactical injury than anything else. I think that George and Jamie

:34:45. > :34:53.in the centre, it is a big centre partnership. Hopefully, everyone

:34:54. > :34:59.will be fit but it is going to be a tough game. The biggest worry for us

:35:00. > :35:06.is that France have won two games. I have watched them twice. I am not

:35:07. > :35:11.sure what they are trying to do. They tried to play the off-load

:35:12. > :35:15.game, going wide with the fours, so there's structure, but the one thing

:35:16. > :35:20.that has shone through for me, having been in Paris is that now, it

:35:21. > :35:26.feels like they all want to play for France again. Maybe in under the

:35:27. > :35:33.previous regimes, this man is playing exceptionally well, Maxime

:35:34. > :35:41.Medard. He is very dangerous. And this is the captain. He takes the

:35:42. > :35:47.ball, Guilhem Guirado. He takes the ball and he makes big, big hits.

:35:48. > :35:51.That is a worry, funny. I am not sure what they are going to try and

:35:52. > :35:59.do against Wales. They are good pack. They carry ball well. They

:36:00. > :36:04.just cannot seem to put together it as individuals, but with Guy Noves

:36:05. > :36:07.there, he has illustrated how well they are playing under him, they

:36:08. > :36:12.have won their first two games. They are capable of playing exceptionally

:36:13. > :36:16.well. Those are two games that they could easily have lost, they only

:36:17. > :36:20.won the games by an aggregate of three points. Defensively, they are

:36:21. > :36:25.all over the place. There are so many opportunities. This is 55

:36:26. > :36:35.seconds. They have gone three phases. Although the French backs or

:36:36. > :36:41.on the far side. I think whoever is fit at 13 this week, you would

:36:42. > :36:46.expect this, maybe 75 minutes, to be disorganised and tired, but that is

:36:47. > :36:51.after 55 seconds. They defend so narrowly, I think whoever plays at

:36:52. > :36:56.13 and 15 for us, it is a massive opportunity. And if we go through

:36:57. > :37:06.phases and keep ball, they are so disjointed, there was huge

:37:07. > :37:12.opportunities there. If Wales play a high tempo, ball in play, a fast

:37:13. > :37:18.game, they are going to be found wanting. But with the atmosphere in

:37:19. > :37:24.the principality stadium, it will be electric on Friday. They will come

:37:25. > :37:31.and think, they can win the Grand Slam. This is their big game. Not

:37:32. > :37:36.like going to Scotland. This is their big game. They played at home,

:37:37. > :37:40.at the end. I can imagine they would be very fired up to come and play

:37:41. > :37:48.against Wales. Where else to win? Yes. Yes. You have said it, fifth

:37:49. > :37:52.time in a row. Wales against France is on BBC television and radio on

:37:53. > :37:59.Friday night. The omens are good for Wales. They have not lost to France

:38:00. > :38:03.since the World Cup semifinal in 2011. I cannot really remember that

:38:04. > :38:09.game. The omens are good, for a narrow, can they make it five? I

:38:10. > :38:21.hope so. See you on Friday. -- four in a row, can they make it five?
