:00:10. > :00:16.It's been five years since a Welsh side last lifted this trophy. 13

:00:17. > :00:20.long years since the Scarlets were last crowned pro-12 champions. They

:00:21. > :00:25.are now 80 minutes from glory, but standing in their way a Munster side

:00:26. > :00:28.desperate for victory on Irish soil and to honour their late coach

:00:29. > :00:36.Anthony Foley, you can guarantee this, it's going to be tense, it's

:00:37. > :00:44.going to be emotional. Welcome to Scrum Five Live.

:00:45. > :00:51.The inclusion of Steph Evans for the visitors, the league's top try

:00:52. > :00:56.scorer's had his red card rescinded and is free to play. That is a

:00:57. > :00:59.relief to the head coach. Williams will be playing his last game for

:01:00. > :01:06.the Scarlets. He'd love to leave with a trophy. So would all his

:01:07. > :01:16.team-mates, of course. Munster are the bookies' favourites. Zebo and

:01:17. > :01:25.Earls are part of the Munster back three. Here we are then, nine

:01:26. > :01:30.gruelling months, 22 rounds of action, two semi-finals and it all

:01:31. > :01:36.comes down to this. By the end of the night, Munster or the Scarlets

:01:37. > :01:41.will be pro-12 champions. Good evening. The rain has cleared

:01:42. > :01:44.here in Dublin. Conditions are near perfect for this pro-12 final.

:01:45. > :01:49.Around 45,000 fans expected here today. Many of them Scarlets fans.

:01:50. > :01:55.They've all crossed the Irish Sea in genuine hope. We have a stellar

:01:56. > :01:59.panel as always, two former Wales captains Jonathan Davies and Martin

:02:00. > :02:03.Williams and the only man who can boast four titles to his name, Shaun

:02:04. > :02:09.over there. How excited are you about this? It's been chucking it

:02:10. > :02:14.down all day, so I'm glad the rain's stopped. I'm so excited and

:02:15. > :02:19.delighted we have got a Welsh team in the final. They deserve to be

:02:20. > :02:22.here. They have had a lot of confidence and fingers crossed they

:02:23. > :02:26.can pull it off. How much of a shot in the arm would it be for Welsh

:02:27. > :02:34.rugby if they could pull it off today? The fact they are here it

:02:35. > :02:38.gives them a shot. First team ever last week to wane pro-12 away from

:02:39. > :02:43.home. They have been outstanding, the best team in Wales, best Welsh

:02:44. > :02:48.region this year, so I hope they can go one step further tonight. A lot

:02:49. > :02:53.of optimism from the Scarlets and their fans tonight Shaun but Munster

:02:54. > :02:58.a formidable opposition? They are but there is an air of expectancy of

:02:59. > :03:01.the Munster fans that maybe the pressure is on Munster, it was on

:03:02. > :03:04.the Scarlets last week in the semi-final, particularly the second

:03:05. > :03:13.half. They are going to need to go out and enjoy it. They have done all

:03:14. > :03:16.the hard work. They can do it. Scarlet news their current guise,

:03:17. > :03:21.just the one trophy in their cabinet. If you look at their past

:03:22. > :03:26.history, they can draw a lot of inspiration from what's gone before.

:03:27. > :03:30.Many people ask me, what was the greatest game in your life; was it a

:03:31. > :03:37.Grand Slam, a Triple Crown? There's only one game that matters, that

:03:38. > :03:42.game when we beat the All Blacks 9-3, a great occasion where the boys

:03:43. > :03:46.gave total commitment. You don't beat New Zealand easy, doesn't

:03:47. > :03:53.matter what side you put out. Probably one of the great moments in

:03:54. > :03:59.the history of Llanelli and the Scarlets. Cup rugby has been a huge

:04:00. > :04:04.part of Llanelli's history and when the Welsh club was formed in about

:04:05. > :04:07.the early '70s, it became the focal point for Llanelli's playing seasons

:04:08. > :04:12.really. I think the Scottish Parliaments won five cups on the

:04:13. > :04:18.trot and it meant everything -- the Scarlets won five cups on the trot.

:04:19. > :04:24.The sport was amazing and it meant so much to take the trophy home to

:04:25. > :04:31.your club. The game we played in the '90s, Llanelli were playing against

:04:32. > :04:35.Australia, the world champions and it ended up with Evans stabbing down

:04:36. > :04:39.and scoring the try and the celebration with him and Rupert

:04:40. > :04:44.jumping into each other, it's one of the great memories of my life

:04:45. > :04:48.watching the Scarlets win that game. I look back as a region and the one

:04:49. > :04:54.that stands out was winning the Celtic League in those days, beating

:04:55. > :04:59.Ulster. It meant so much at last for a long time lifting up silverware.

:05:00. > :05:08.I think for the Scotland Yardth Scarlets to go to Leinster last

:05:09. > :05:12.Friday evening -- for the Scarlets to go to Leinster last Friday

:05:13. > :05:17.evening, there was only going to be one winner. They were going to win

:05:18. > :05:22.that match and now they face Munster. To the coaches, the

:05:23. > :05:28.players, let's have a victory on Saturday. Come on they are Scarlets.

:05:29. > :05:32.Wonderful memories for Scarlets fans and a wonderful cameo from Jonathan

:05:33. > :05:38.as well with a full head of hair still.

:05:39. > :05:43.Steph Evans, we mentioned him at the top, had his red card rescinded,

:05:44. > :05:48.huge relief. Scott's got so many attacking weapons but he's

:05:49. > :05:52.undoubtedly the sharpest? I hope they go out there and play like they

:05:53. > :05:56.have been and dictate a bit. Common-sense prevailed and this guy

:05:57. > :06:02.is playing today. He deserves his place. He's been phenomenal, leading

:06:03. > :06:07.the SATs on the breaks, tries and offloads. Not only is he a finisher,

:06:08. > :06:13.he creates a lot as well. These two are going to be crucial. Conor Murs

:06:14. > :06:17.vale the controlling kind of general for Munster, Gareth Davies has got

:06:18. > :06:24.tremendous pace off the scrums and everything and it's going to be a

:06:25. > :06:32.great battle. Again, as most finals are, it comes down to the front five

:06:33. > :06:36.and the half backs. When we talk about the Scarlets pack this season,

:06:37. > :06:41.James Davies always seems to be stealing the headlines, but his back

:06:42. > :06:46.row colleague Aaron Shingler going about his business effectively all

:06:47. > :06:50.season and arguably as influential? He's been influential, he leads all

:06:51. > :06:58.the stats, he was the Player of the Year. He's been truly fell Fopp

:06:59. > :07:03.national. -- phenomenal. Call up for the Lions after his unbelievable

:07:04. > :07:06.performance. The two types of characters who're not going to take

:07:07. > :07:15.a backward step so a great match-up. A lot of key match-ups today and

:07:16. > :07:19.Munster here in Dublin, the Scarlets are facing, not just a team of men

:07:20. > :07:24.but the whole emotional factor with Anthony Foley as well, how difficult

:07:25. > :07:29.will it be to overcrop that? The hole rugby world, you know, it's a

:07:30. > :07:35.desperate time to lose your coach at such a young age. He'll be willing

:07:36. > :07:42.them on from up there. It will be very emotional. Munster are

:07:43. > :07:47.emotional as well. Don't get too emotional and win the game, you

:07:48. > :07:50.know. Everyone has huge respect for Manchester. They have done through

:07:51. > :07:55.Europe and in the pro-12, but especially this year, the way

:07:56. > :07:58.they've handled the death of Foley and the way they have responded and

:07:59. > :08:03.the players. It's been a tough, tough year for them. Last week

:08:04. > :08:06.against the Ospreys, if they'd have had the cutting edge, but I think

:08:07. > :08:12.they were a bit below par. They had a chance of winning but it was a

:08:13. > :08:22.tough ask for Scarlets. In terms of styles, is it too simplistic to say

:08:23. > :08:28.there are the flare? Thing is right. Both teams have to play the way they

:08:29. > :08:33.have got to the final. Rob Evans has been ball handling in the forwards,

:08:34. > :08:38.Steph Evans creates inside his channel and James Davies and John

:08:39. > :08:44.Barclay in the wider channels. They are free to counteraback. McNicholl

:08:45. > :08:51.has been a revelation. He's sparked people like Shingler in the support

:08:52. > :08:59.play. They're littered with Xfactor through the team. Shingler has great

:09:00. > :09:04.support play. Evans has been fantastic. It's great to see him

:09:05. > :09:08.play. He passes in the ten channel, works hard off Scott Williams and

:09:09. > :09:11.James day I haves and gets a second touch to create the try. James

:09:12. > :09:16.Davies, you can't leave him out, he's creative, he brings people into

:09:17. > :09:20.play, he's in the white channels and of course his trademark is over the

:09:21. > :09:24.ball. Big battle there today, as we see in this example with Tommy

:09:25. > :09:28.O'Donnell and CJ Stander. If they keep this form up, they can do it.

:09:29. > :09:37.It's getting exciting. Let us hear from the coaches. A South African

:09:38. > :09:42.against a Kiwi today. The big day is here. You have said about the

:09:43. > :09:46.Scarlets and you hope they make history. How important is it that

:09:47. > :09:50.they play the game and not the occasion? We have talked about doing

:09:51. > :09:55.what we have done up to this point. We are in really good form, the guys

:09:56. > :09:58.are enjoying how they're playing. You can see last week, the character

:09:59. > :10:02.was tested and they pulled through, so I think we are in a good place

:10:03. > :10:08.and it's about delivering on the day. We are at the climax of an

:10:09. > :10:12.emotional season for Munster with the Anthony Foley factor and all

:10:13. > :10:17.that. What would it mean to the whole community of Munster if you

:10:18. > :10:20.could pull it off? It would be a story-book ending but life's not

:10:21. > :10:25.always like that. It's important to go out there and put in a

:10:26. > :10:28.performance that's worthy of Anthony. That would be awesome. It's

:10:29. > :10:33.been bouncing down with rain in Dublin all day. Will that affect the

:10:34. > :10:42.way the Scarlets have been playing? Yes, I just wonder if the hose has

:10:43. > :10:45.been out on Dublin from up there. It will change slightly and we have to

:10:46. > :10:56.look after the ball in the contact area. Go and do Wales proud. Thank

:10:57. > :11:00.you very much. A very relaxed looking Wayne Pivac. The teams are

:11:01. > :11:03.on their way out. We talked about the strengths of the sides and the

:11:04. > :11:07.fact that it's technically a home game for Munster but Shaun, as

:11:08. > :11:12.objective as you can be, who are the favourites today? Scarlets can win

:11:13. > :11:17.it. Go out and try and win the game, don't go out and try not to lose it.

:11:18. > :11:21.Back yourselves and go for it like you have done all season. Jonathan

:11:22. > :11:28.mentioned the fact that Scarlets have got here by playing exciting

:11:29. > :11:33.enterprising rugby, they can't put a foot on the ball today? That is how

:11:34. > :11:38.they've won the last couple of games. They are the in-form team.

:11:39. > :11:42.Munster stumbled against the Ospreys but they've got the emotion with

:11:43. > :11:48.them today, it's more or less a home crowd with them today so if the

:11:49. > :11:51.Scarlets can get off to a good start, they can definitely win

:11:52. > :11:56.today. And you sense they're playing without fear. You see the smile on

:11:57. > :12:01.Wayne's place, they seem to be playing as a unit, as a squad, they

:12:02. > :12:06.have something solid there. Trust me, when you have a group in harmony

:12:07. > :12:09.like that, I've experienced it, it's bliss, it's when you're really

:12:10. > :12:14.enjoying your job. If you can do that in a final, in a game of this

:12:15. > :12:17.magnitude, it's so rewarding, the culmination of all the work that

:12:18. > :12:22.everyone's put in and contributed. It's fantastic. It's very exciting.

:12:23. > :12:26.The atmosphere really building. These are two teams bang in form.

:12:27. > :12:30.Munster have won the last seven, Scarlets their last six, only one

:12:31. > :12:33.team can win today in the final. We can find out who it is in the

:12:34. > :12:42.company of our commentary team. The rain has gone but it's grey

:12:43. > :12:45.skies above Dublin. If the semi-final is anything to go by, it

:12:46. > :13:39.will be lit up pretty soon. The pro-12 finishes and reaches a

:13:40. > :13:44.tremendous climax. The Scarlets have won the last six, only one defeat in

:13:45. > :13:53.the last 12. Munster won the last seven, only one defeat in the last

:13:54. > :13:59.17. Two quality teams, two outstanding performances in the

:14:00. > :14:05.semi-final. And one winner at the end of the day. The planes, the

:14:06. > :14:11.trains, the ferries, the hotels, they've all been booked solid since

:14:12. > :14:17.these two saw their way through last week. Scarlets creating history by

:14:18. > :14:25.becoming the first ever team away winners the semi-final of the

:14:26. > :14:34.competition just a mile or so down the road in the heady heights of the

:14:35. > :14:49.Aviva Stadium can they claim another piece of Scarlets history. Munster

:14:50. > :14:54.three -times communities. -- Munster three-times champions. Munster play

:14:55. > :15:08.in blue this afternoon. Not a full house but full enough. Over 40,000,

:15:09. > :15:14.nearing 45,000. Such excitement. Both teams and officials gather.

:15:15. > :15:18.That is for a minutes' silence to pay respects to those who lost their

:15:19. > :15:27.lives and were injured in Manchester at the beginning of this week.

:15:28. > :15:33.Ladies and gentlemen, we'll now observe a minutes' silence in

:15:34. > :15:35.respect of those who died on Monday night in the Manchester Arena

:15:36. > :16:33.bombing. Very touching and a day which will

:16:34. > :16:46.be full of emotion anyway, that after Munster lost their coach far

:16:47. > :16:51.too early, Anthony Foley. Deaths in Manchester, and a suitable respect

:16:52. > :16:58.paid. Anthony Foley's sons with Nigel Owens, the referee today,

:16:59. > :17:08.giving the match ball to Rhys Patchell.

:17:09. > :17:16.Best ref in the world, he may come from Wales but that won't matter a

:17:17. > :17:25.jot. Ably assisted by Michael Wilkinson of Ireland and Neil

:17:26. > :17:31.palstering son of skoled, the TMO -- Neil Paterson of Scotland.

:17:32. > :17:42.One more chance in the colours that they are proud to wear. Rhys

:17:43. > :17:43.Patchell gets the game under way. Munster the team in blue this

:17:44. > :17:54.afternoon. Munster comfortably victorious over

:17:55. > :18:01.the Ospreys, Scarlets superb against Leinster. Conor Murray.

:18:02. > :18:11.Good weight on the ball. Every chance to run on to it. It's Liam

:18:12. > :18:23.Williams, the bomb diffuser. Dragged out of play by CJ Stander.

:18:24. > :18:32.They want to play the game quickly. One player we haven't mentioned has

:18:33. > :18:36.been Jonathan Davies. A lot of critics were writing him off in the

:18:37. > :18:46.Six Nations, but his form's been brilliant over the last few games

:18:47. > :18:51.for the Scarlets. James Davies, the other Davies brother. Now Jonathan

:18:52. > :19:05.gets his hands on it. Saili is there. Bleyendaal's kicked the

:19:06. > :19:09.challenge down. Loose ball. It will be greasy out there. Torrential rain

:19:10. > :19:14.all morning and for the early part of the afternoon here in Dublin.

:19:15. > :19:19.Patchell. Again good defence. Scarlets holding on to the ball

:19:20. > :19:55.well. Elias. Barclay. Just a little bit too far that one.

:19:56. > :20:11.No-one within ten or 15 meets of Gareth Davies.

:20:12. > :20:20.Goes up on his own defending. They have got to work that out and pick

:20:21. > :20:29.the holes out from the side of him. McNicholl. Two back rowers either

:20:30. > :20:34.side of him. Murray with the tackle. Barclay.

:20:35. > :20:50.The ball is there for Gareth Davies. Patchell. O'Donnell. The crowd

:20:51. > :20:57.loving it. Holding on against Patchell. You mentioned Saili. It's

:20:58. > :21:03.a theme throughout the Manchester defence, it's Conway that time,

:21:04. > :21:12.steps from the outside and forces Patchell to go inside. Should have

:21:13. > :21:16.been inside ball there. The scrum was going wide. Good communication

:21:17. > :21:19.between scrum-half and winger. That ball would have gone inside and

:21:20. > :22:05.Scarlets would have been on the post. What an opportunity missed.

:22:06. > :22:17.The ball has gone forward. Scarlets with pressure. Conway get ago scrum.

:22:18. > :22:22.Well read. Conor Murray was asking him to bite. Good defence from

:22:23. > :22:27.Patchell. He saw the danger Munster possessed, they were the driving

:22:28. > :22:44.line out. Such a big, powerful back, probably heavier and more powerful.

:22:45. > :23:01.Jonathan Davies over to the far side, alongside Steph Evans.

:23:02. > :23:14.Pressure on the Scarlets scrum first penalty at set play. Going Munster's

:23:15. > :23:31.way. Penalised for that. I think the call came from the touchline.

:23:32. > :23:39.You run away with the ball, it's an easier kick. I think that'll give

:23:40. > :23:43.the Scarlets a lot of confidence, the way their numbers are onner they

:23:44. > :23:47.are side, just the awareness of the inside pass. Try-scoring

:23:48. > :23:53.opportunity. As we thought, it will be the power of the Munster front

:23:54. > :23:56.five that'll try to strangle the Scarlets. Very interesting

:23:57. > :24:25.encounter. Bleyendaal the leading points scorer

:24:26. > :24:28.has no trouble getting the first points of the final putting Munster

:24:29. > :24:50.ahead 3-0. A much easier kick. Dan Biggar last week went to take a

:24:51. > :24:51.penalty, somebody shouted, the fans indicated who it was and the police

:24:52. > :25:10.went in to throw him out. Great attacking opportunity for the

:25:11. > :25:42.Scarlets. Temporary replacement for Rory

:25:43. > :25:49.Scannell is on. He's undergoing a head injury assessment. Free play

:25:50. > :25:54.now. They have a chance to go here. Patchell. McNicholl. On the wing is

:25:55. > :26:00.Liam Williams and they don't need to come back for the penalty because

:26:01. > :26:05.Liam Williams in his final game in Scarlets colours has the first try

:26:06. > :26:20.of the afternoon and has put the Scarlets ahead. Brilliant play.

:26:21. > :26:30.I thought the kick was precise. It held up. Greasy surface. Beautifully

:26:31. > :26:31.weighted kick. Let us see if he's grounded. He wants to look at it.

:26:32. > :27:13.Just watch. McNicholl. Just fades at the last stage,

:27:14. > :27:26.Patchell. Scarlets conning with their open rugby.

:27:27. > :27:32.Brilliant kick from Patchell, perfectly weighted and a great

:27:33. > :27:34.finish. McNicholl read it. He was going for it as well. It was wider

:27:35. > :28:18.to Liam Williams. A deadly finish. Scarlets try scoring record on this

:28:19. > :28:30.winning run. Remarkable three, five, five, two, eight and four.

:28:31. > :28:35.With all the tries they've scored, you have to praise the forwards.

:28:36. > :28:39.They didn't have the platform in previous seasons. This season

:28:40. > :28:45.they've been a lot better. Big ask for the Munster pack today though.

:28:46. > :28:54.The strong-running South African in midfield. Billy Holland. Options

:28:55. > :28:58.either side for Murray. They look a yard faster the Scarlets at the

:28:59. > :29:00.moment. They are up off the ground defensively and seem to have more

:29:01. > :29:08.numbers on their feet. The speed of Munster's defence is

:29:09. > :29:20.something the Ospreys found hard to tackle last week. Scarlets emulating

:29:21. > :29:26.them. Scarlets again, 30 metres out. They've gone through the phases and

:29:27. > :29:29.all of a sudden he's kicked it in. He'll be pleased with that. It was

:29:30. > :29:41.Rawlins that time. It's a result for the Scarlets, two

:29:42. > :29:46.of the best line outs in the game. We saw last week in this position,

:29:47. > :29:49.they called a back line out which is very risky. So gone to the middle

:29:50. > :29:54.this time. Rawlins delivers. Scannell is back on the field. And

:29:55. > :30:01.he assists in that tackle. There he is at 12.

:30:02. > :30:08.Patchell. Good yardage on the kick. Yes, good kick and exit strategy

:30:09. > :30:27.there. It was another driving line-out for

:30:28. > :30:55.Munster. Holland delivers. Scannell attaches

:30:56. > :31:05.behind John Ryan. Good driving line, still going forward.

:31:06. > :31:14.Rawlins was really battling for the Scarlets. Dangerous ball. It took

:31:15. > :31:20.out Conway. If it had fallen into the hands of Johnny McNicol, it they

:31:21. > :31:30.would have been in trouble. More luck than judgment there. It could

:31:31. > :31:47.have gone either way. O'Mahony, the captain for Munster. CJ Stander.

:31:48. > :31:57.Zebo. Again, the overlap, the second row there, Tadigh Beirne there, the

:31:58. > :32:03.intent was to kick the touch, there was no vision to put it wide through

:32:04. > :32:06.the hands. They had pressure kicks, they are maybe getting ground, but

:32:07. > :32:23.they are giving line-out away. A former Leinster man, he has grown

:32:24. > :32:33.into that Scarlet shirt. He has been superb.

:32:34. > :32:52.Barclay and James Davies and Lewis Rawlins together. Keith earls. Very

:32:53. > :33:01.well taken. No hands in there. -- Keith Earls. No win there. Williams

:33:02. > :33:12.put the tackling. Gareth Davies is safely back. The Scarlets are really

:33:13. > :33:22.incensed because they had three men on the outside. They are incense, it

:33:23. > :33:30.is his job to stop De Bourgoing out. Johnny McNicholl should control that

:33:31. > :33:37.play and give it a little bit better -- to stop the ball going again. He

:33:38. > :33:42.gives it a little bit too slow, it is not gone, but never a yellow

:33:43. > :33:47.card. He needs to give it a little second earlier. I think that is a

:33:48. > :33:50.yellow card all day. He knows he is beaten and the pass has beaten them

:33:51. > :33:57.and I think he stuck his hand out and got away with it. Nigel is

:33:58. > :34:00.there. To the letter of the law, maybe yes, but I think it is the

:34:01. > :34:04.player who is attacking with the ball who has to make the decision

:34:05. > :34:09.quick and if he has not got the skills to create a three on two, why

:34:10. > :34:19.should he get a penalty or at yellow card. There are so many

:34:20. > :34:29.opportunities for the Scarlets. Saili, had it narrowly defensively.

:34:30. > :34:36.Conway was in there as well. Very narrow. You have got to look at the

:34:37. > :34:42.way they are defending. They are putting width on it. Just watch a

:34:43. > :34:48.game. It is a brilliant kick. Saili is isolated on his own in the centre

:34:49. > :34:59.there. His first thought is that he has to make the big head. They need

:35:00. > :35:14.to create the outside. -- hit. Kick it. Free play at the moment for the

:35:15. > :35:19.Scarlets. They are struggling. You were still on the ground, taking

:35:20. > :35:23.nine with the ball. If the Scarlets go wide with two passes, they are

:35:24. > :35:27.struggling to cope with the web that the Scarlets are playing with. They

:35:28. > :35:36.cannot give the numbers there are defensively. As we know, they are in

:35:37. > :35:42.the game, they will be there until the end. You have to put them away.

:35:43. > :36:27.Munster will be there right until the end.

:36:28. > :36:34.Great strike from Rhys Patchell and as we approach the end of the first

:36:35. > :36:42.quarter, it is an excellent lead from the Scarlets. Just a comment on

:36:43. > :36:46.that try from Liam Williams? It is great for him. We will worry about

:36:47. > :36:51.celebrating that at the end of the game. That was a well taken

:36:52. > :36:57.opportunity. To come out with a try like that, was all we could have

:36:58. > :37:01.hoped for. Are you confident you can keep it going? We need to make sure

:37:02. > :37:08.it is an 80 minute performance. It has been a tough game. It is

:37:09. > :37:13.starting to drizzle again and it is blowing in the favour of Munster and

:37:14. > :37:23.that could affect the Scarlets. It is the steady and heavy drizzle.

:37:24. > :37:30.Dangerous but effective from the Scarlets. Davies on the outside of

:37:31. > :37:39.Scannell. There goes Steffan Evans. John Davies. Zebo. To you, to me and

:37:40. > :37:45.it is tried number 13 for the late's top try scorer, brilliant break-out,

:37:46. > :37:48.the Scarlets at their best. They have been playing absolutely

:37:49. > :37:55.brilliant rugby and the last couple of weeks. So many numbers. I thought

:37:56. > :38:02.they had blown it, but what a brilliant try. The forwards, the

:38:03. > :38:10.passing, early doors, this was the mistake once again. It is not

:38:11. > :38:17.forward. Samson has to take it. Scott Williams. He is away. I

:38:18. > :38:23.thought Jonathan Davies was in. Great tracking by Zebo. Lovely

:38:24. > :38:31.off-load. Brilliant Scarlet strive. First class. We mentioned it before

:38:32. > :38:40.the show, we hoped they would not freeze. That was fantastic. You

:38:41. > :38:53.mentioned shingler, Tadigh Beirne, brilliant play from the Scarlets.

:38:54. > :39:04.The ex-jurors come from Rhys Patchell and it is getting better

:39:05. > :39:09.for the Scarlett Scarlets -- extras. The way they are playing at the

:39:10. > :39:12.moment, the awareness to play their way they are playing, you have to

:39:13. > :39:21.say, they have been a delight to watch. Another thing, if it is

:39:22. > :39:25.drizzle, if the opportunity should arise, it is brilliant but I did not

:39:26. > :39:31.think Munster have the pace to score from distance and their intent is to

:39:32. > :39:38.play in the Scarlets 22. The last time that Steffan Evans was in

:39:39. > :39:44.Dublin, his world was falling apart, read carded, in danger of missing a

:39:45. > :39:57.first Welsh World Cup. Now things are looking so rosy. -- he got a red

:39:58. > :40:04.card. Patchell safely underneath it. Johnny McNicholl. James Davies. He

:40:05. > :40:12.finds Shingler and he goes tearing down the wing. It is Steffan Evans

:40:13. > :40:17.again. Evans steps back inside. Gareth Davies drops it and it has

:40:18. > :40:20.gone forward. There was an even better approach that time and that

:40:21. > :40:28.could have been one of the tries of the season if it had stuck. Watch

:40:29. > :40:33.the pass. So narrow. Beautiful pass by James Davies and they have blown

:40:34. > :40:39.it! Unfortunately, you have to score these tries. Great scrambled

:40:40. > :40:45.defence. You cannot afford to miss those opportunities in this game.

:40:46. > :40:51.Munster are all over the place and defence, particularly on the edges.

:40:52. > :40:54.There is no communication, you have Peter O'Mahony barking Steffan

:40:55. > :41:02.Evans, that was a mismatch. Brilliant play from the Scarlets.

:41:03. > :41:07.The pass was delivered too hard. Steffan Evans did brilliantly

:41:08. > :41:13.because both Murray and Evans went for him. That should have been try

:41:14. > :41:16.number three and maybe game set and match for the Scarlets. Munster

:41:17. > :41:24.breathe a sigh of relief and lived to fight another day. Even that try,

:41:25. > :41:29.it is not game set and match. They are at sixes and sevens and they

:41:30. > :41:33.cannot cope with the width and distribution that the Scarlets have.

:41:34. > :41:38.The Scarlets seem to have much more energy, they are on the front foot.

:41:39. > :41:44.Munster look flat, whether the emotion has got to them, but they

:41:45. > :41:58.are not out of it by any means. Pressure. Now then. Now then. Conor

:41:59. > :42:08.Murray. If they go for a scrum here, there are so confident now, of their

:42:09. > :42:15.creativity and execution. It has gone against Conor Murray for

:42:16. > :42:20.delaying. Then he went down. They have got to forget that they bond

:42:21. > :42:24.that try and try and get another one. Momentum is huge in sport and

:42:25. > :42:30.the Scarlets have had the mental in the last three months of the season.

:42:31. > :42:34.They create momentum. Now they have Munster on the rack, they have to

:42:35. > :42:45.put them away because they will come back. Great scrum from the Scarlets.

:42:46. > :42:57.Gareth Davies, short to Scott Williams. Makes it available.

:42:58. > :43:02.Shingler. Good tackle. 65 back row is trying to hold him up. Aaron

:43:03. > :43:07.Shingler has the ground. Scott Williams tries to fire it out and

:43:08. > :43:15.get it passed everyone -- Baldonnel. It was too great. Because of the

:43:16. > :43:29.bow, he had to make the tackle. It was not a forward pass -- Zebo.

:43:30. > :43:33.David Wilkinson saying it was not the past, there was nothing wrong

:43:34. > :43:39.with it but it just slipped and Steffan Evans could not keep it

:43:40. > :43:56.infield. I thought the wins was against the Scarlets. -- wind.

:43:57. > :44:06.Munster are really up against it and they need all their experience. They

:44:07. > :44:09.just look shell-shocked, Munster, they knew what was coming and they

:44:10. > :44:16.knew how the Scarlets played the game. They have not had any answers

:44:17. > :44:23.so far in the first 25 minutes. A the Scarlets player is injured, it

:44:24. > :44:29.is Samson Lee. We mentioned the fantastic rugby they play, you have

:44:30. > :44:33.to give the forwards credit, solid scrum and line-out went well. You

:44:34. > :44:41.cannot play that sort of rugby unless you have a solid set piece.

:44:42. > :44:55.You need that man to stay on. There is the noise from the Scarlets fans.

:44:56. > :45:00.They realise it is an opportunity. A big bank of Scarlets supporters away

:45:01. > :45:07.to our right. It is in line with the way players. On the near side of the

:45:08. > :45:24.field. Very difficult. They are all in red jerseys.

:45:25. > :45:37.Scannell bides his time. Murray trying to give Conway a chase.

:45:38. > :45:47.Brilliant take by Steffan Evans. James Davies. Another stall ward of

:45:48. > :45:48.the season. What is he going to do to get reckoning with Wales. It is

:45:49. > :46:07.quite baffling. Away, move. Elias Waits. Steffan

:46:08. > :46:15.Evans is their supporting, being driven away by Lewis Rawlins.

:46:16. > :46:26.Captain John Barclay. Davies, James Davies.

:46:27. > :46:34.Bleyendaal is playing at the back. Zebo is doing so much running, it is

:46:35. > :46:39.amazing. Scott Williams goes straight through to Gareth Davies

:46:40. > :46:43.who skips over. He is over the try line but will it stand? Was the path

:46:44. > :46:47.forward? It could be try number three for the Scarlets but they will

:46:48. > :46:52.have to wait and see. The initial reaction was a forward pass and he

:46:53. > :46:57.called it. I agree. We are not in line with it but in real time, it

:46:58. > :47:09.looked as though it did just go forward. That is tight, isn't it?

:47:10. > :47:14.Very tired. Certainly not obvious. From that angle, it looks good. It

:47:15. > :47:19.is a fantastic try. That will do nicely. It is try number three,

:47:20. > :47:24.Gareth Davies may not have got the first effort, but he's certainly got

:47:25. > :47:30.that one and the Scarlet are rampant in the first half. It was not clear

:47:31. > :47:35.and obvious, and Scott Williams uses that power again to get through the

:47:36. > :47:42.first two tackles. Probably one of the best in the business, Gareth

:47:43. > :47:47.Davies. An absolute poacher. There we are, missed tackle, steps in, he

:47:48. > :47:53.has gone. I would like to see that again, his support line was

:47:54. > :47:58.brilliant, Gareth Davies. Keeping in front of the ball. Gambling on the

:47:59. > :48:03.break from Scott Williams and gets his just rewards. Brilliant from the

:48:04. > :48:09.Scarlets. The Scarlets scored three tries in the first against Leinster

:48:10. > :48:17.in Dublin last week, they got three against Munster in Dublin week.

:48:18. > :48:26.Scannell goes off for a second time. They need to keep on playing. They

:48:27. > :48:29.cannot stop now. Taute is back on. Percentages from here, they do not

:48:30. > :48:46.need to do this ridiculous thing but when it is gone, they need to go.

:48:47. > :48:54.Samson Lee has gone off and... They did not want him this early. Spilt

:48:55. > :49:01.again by Munster. Liam Williams. Johnny McNicholl gives chase and

:49:02. > :49:08.Keith Earls knows he is there. In those Johnny McNicholl. Taute on the

:49:09. > :49:14.try line. Great pressure from the Scarlets and they have won

:49:15. > :49:27.themselves a scrum. For five of them compare to one or two of the Munster

:49:28. > :49:33.players. They are just smashing them at the moment. I do not think I have

:49:34. > :49:36.seen an Munster side being so comprehensively beaten at the start

:49:37. > :49:40.of a game in such a long time and I feel that everything they are

:49:41. > :49:47.attaching is going to turn into gold. This early in the game, if

:49:48. > :49:54.they score from the set piece, it could be curtains. I totally agree.

:49:55. > :49:58.Any sort of points here, three, five, seven points... That will

:49:59. > :50:05.surely be too far for Munster to come back from especially the way

:50:06. > :50:19.the Scarlets are playing. First scrum. Decision-making so far has

:50:20. > :50:28.been brilliant. Pressure on. They need to get out of there now. He

:50:29. > :50:41.popped out of that scrum. Lewis Rawlins. Tadigh Beirne, determined

:50:42. > :50:48.and over! Incredible. Absolutely incredible. This is a sublime 30

:50:49. > :50:53.minutes of rugby from the Scarlets. No bonus points in the final, but

:50:54. > :50:59.this is indeed a bonus in every sense for the Scarlets. Tadigh

:51:00. > :51:05.Beirne makes it dream world for the men in red. What a story for Tadigh

:51:06. > :51:13.Beirne. He is a Leinster boy. He scores in the Pro12 final. In the

:51:14. > :51:21.Aviva Stadium. They go down the short side, it is brilliant. From

:51:22. > :51:28.that position, you do not think he will score. Munster look, realised.

:51:29. > :51:44.Totally overrun. In every facet of play. There are a few bodies down. I

:51:45. > :52:01.think John Barclay is down he got a white in the Reds. He may try orchid

:52:02. > :52:09.of. -- he may try and walk it off. They go high, they're trying to do

:52:10. > :52:15.the choke tackle. He spends out of two tackles and he is over. He has

:52:16. > :52:23.just turned 25 in January. The man from county caldera says Leinster,

:52:24. > :52:34.this is what you missed. -- County Kildare.

:52:35. > :52:48.Again, the job is done by Rhys Patchell and the Scarlets slowly

:52:49. > :52:55.pulling clear. The thing you have got to look at, they have not had

:52:56. > :52:58.any possession, Munster, when they have had the ball, they have kicked

:52:59. > :53:13.it away and the Scarlets have run it back at them. It could be 40 points.

:53:14. > :53:23.What can Munster offer in reply. They were not taking the quick throw

:53:24. > :53:28.ins before. There will have to chase the game. The whole mindset of

:53:29. > :53:32.Munster will change. The whole mindset. They wanted to slow

:53:33. > :53:36.everything down, get the tempo and the pace out of the game, controlled

:53:37. > :53:42.the game, control the way they are playing the game. That has totally

:53:43. > :53:47.gone out of the window now. 71% possession. The telly play will be

:53:48. > :54:10.interesting. James Davies recovering. They are

:54:11. > :54:13.again. Munster. If it goes wide again, they will be caught again --

:54:14. > :54:34.they are short again. It came off the fingertips of Tadigh

:54:35. > :54:49.Beirne, Zebo with the kick pass. Williams did just enough. Just did

:54:50. > :54:56.enough. There we are. One little kick. He will have been

:54:57. > :55:10.disappointed, he rides the tackle and loses control of the ball. There

:55:11. > :55:21.it is. Just jumping out of the tackle and readjusting and lost

:55:22. > :55:34.control of the ball. John Ryan, Munster desperate to score before

:55:35. > :55:38.half-time. CJ Stander. Bleyendaal. Jaco Taute. John Davison followed

:55:39. > :55:49.him every step of the way. Bleyendaal to Ryan once more. There

:55:50. > :55:55.are not going to take it end. Double hit on CJ Stander by two the

:55:56. > :56:02.Scarlets larks. Was he taken out by Elias? If he had gone down, he might

:56:03. > :56:17.have just got the penalty -- locks. Still ferocious. The Scarlets still

:56:18. > :56:35.want to keep it alive as much as they possibly can. Pressure on the

:56:36. > :56:46.ball carrier, at that time it was Dave Kilcoyne. The workrate of Lewis

:56:47. > :57:01.Rawlins is phenomenal. Saili with a half-break. Good interplay by those

:57:02. > :57:06.two. Tommy O'Donnell. Looking for support, Rhys Patchell gets the

:57:07. > :57:20.tackle in. Zebo to Ryan. Munster have to go to the right-hand side.

:57:21. > :57:26.Shingler hounding his man. Scannell. Brilliant offence by the Scarlets

:57:27. > :57:33.under pressure. Better play by Munster, they are going through the

:57:34. > :57:37.phases. They have dropped it. And the double knock-on will give the

:57:38. > :57:41.Scarlets the ball back and a breather, just as important after

:57:42. > :57:49.all that tackling. There are just chasing the game. The game has

:57:50. > :57:54.suddenly changed Munster now. They like to play a little bit flatter as

:57:55. > :58:07.well. Bleyendaal will have to play flatter. He is not creating

:58:08. > :58:16.anything. Conor Murray. Spotted the gap. First real break that Munster

:58:17. > :58:21.have had. Again, the pace, the temple, the enthusiasm, that is a

:58:22. > :58:39.little bit too hard by the Zebo. That has been the difference.

:58:40. > :58:47.Gareth Davies was the one getting the treatment and he will have to

:58:48. > :58:59.put the ball into the scrum. Derry are. -- there we are. He is chatting

:59:00. > :59:10.to the assistant referee. We will look at the front rows are doing on

:59:11. > :59:26.your side. Especially with Werner Kruger coming on. The former South

:59:27. > :59:32.African flanker there. Chance to go on the blindside here.

:59:33. > :59:39.Rhys Patchell is getting his chance and he is picked up well by Saili.

:59:40. > :59:45.The Scarlets do not want any mistakes with only three minutes of

:59:46. > :59:46.the first half remaining. They want a confidence boost going into the

:59:47. > :00:06.changing room. Will they go for the touchline? Or

:00:07. > :00:11.will they take the three points? It is a big call. All or nothing. He

:00:12. > :00:18.has got to make it to the five metre line.

:00:19. > :00:30.Everyone knows what they are going to do. It's a catch and drive.

:00:31. > :00:38.Well this is a crucial part of the game now. Final two minutes of the

:00:39. > :00:41.first half. Munster haven't been anywhere near the Scarlets tree

:00:42. > :00:54.line. Can they give themselves a bit of hope just before the interval?

:00:55. > :01:04.O'Donnell comes on. Topped it. O'Mahony. Penalty again. Knocked on

:01:05. > :01:08.by Zebo. Still pressure because it will be a Munster scrum. Scrum not a

:01:09. > :01:13.penalty. One more period of defending for the

:01:14. > :02:43.Scarlets in this first half. CJ Stander at eight. Going for the

:02:44. > :02:50.drive. Stander picks up short ball. Saili comes on the charge. He's a

:02:51. > :03:00.dummy runner. Bleyendaal makes his way over. Munster get a sniff in the

:03:01. > :03:02.last minute of the first half. Too short runners and they overegged the

:03:03. > :03:28.situation. They're taking them in. They don't

:03:29. > :03:32.want Llanelli to restart so that says it all, wouldn't you. You would

:03:33. > :03:36.be thinking they would want to have the ball back. But as Munster do,

:03:37. > :03:41.they're on the score board with their first try. Lovely worked try.

:03:42. > :03:47.Munster want to finish on a high. They want now to be pumped up in

:03:48. > :03:51.that changing room. Bleyendaal's got all of their ten points but it's

:03:52. > :03:55.been a superb performance from the Scarlet news the first half. Four

:03:56. > :03:59.tries they've scored but they know it's not ever yet because Munster

:04:00. > :04:03.will fight and fight and fight. But they'll take it, certainly the

:04:04. > :04:10.Scarlets will. Half time, 29-10. Phil. How good was that first half

:04:11. > :04:16.and enjoyable was that first half? It was good. We are not done yet. We

:04:17. > :04:21.gave them a sniff there and they came back and scored. How will you

:04:22. > :04:28.play it? Same. Have a good half. Thank you very much. Bleyendaal

:04:29. > :04:32.leading goal scorer has no trouble getting the first points of the

:04:33. > :04:43.final. Patchell. McNicholl knew the kick was coming. Williams. In his

:04:44. > :04:50.final game in skarlt colours, he ran to the line. Scarlet colours. To me

:04:51. > :04:58.to you, to you to me... Straight through. Davies! Skips

:04:59. > :05:10.over. Determined. Absolutely incredible. Sublime 30 minutes of

:05:11. > :05:13.rugby from the Scarlets. Scarlet colours, he ran to the line. Scarlet

:05:14. > :05:15.colours. To me to you, to you to me...

:05:16. > :05:16.Straight through. Davies! Skips over. Determined. Absolutely

:05:17. > :05:18.incredible. Sublime 30 minutes of rugby from the Scarlets. Munster

:05:19. > :05:21.keep their slim hopes alive with this at the end of the first half.

:05:22. > :05:26.Bleyendaal converts his own try, meaning the half time score is

:05:27. > :05:30.29-10. Sounds an awful lot better for the thousands of Munster fans in

:05:31. > :05:35.the stadium here than 29-3 did. Gents, I don't know if any of us

:05:36. > :05:40.have got our breath back. That was virtually unbelievable. What's just

:05:41. > :05:44.happened there? Very... He's lost for words. After the third try he

:05:45. > :05:49.didn't know what to say in commentary. Lots of kicking,

:05:50. > :05:54.everybody TSB nervous, Scarlets have thrown that out of the water and

:05:55. > :05:59.just gone for it. Every time they've had the ball they've looked like

:06:00. > :06:03.scoring or have scored. Phenomenal. We said pre-match if the Scarlets

:06:04. > :06:06.were to have a chance today, they couldn't abandon the game plan

:06:07. > :06:12.that's got them so far in the league this season. And they are playing

:06:13. > :06:18.with such abandon, such panache? Stark contrast to the two sides.

:06:19. > :06:23.Munster look emotionally shocked and shell shocked at the Scarlets'

:06:24. > :06:26.ability. They're up pore this and playing like they have done. We said

:06:27. > :06:33.it at the top of the show and they're doing it. That's a warning

:06:34. > :06:36.sign. It's not a bad sign for Pivac. Slight warning, don't let them close

:06:37. > :06:42.to the line because they're clinical when they get there. Starting with

:06:43. > :06:47.the Liam Williams try, we said at the top of the show, emotional day

:06:48. > :06:50.for him, he would have liked to have opening the scoring, his last game.

:06:51. > :06:56.A perfectly weighted chip from Patchell? But it sums up Munster.

:06:57. > :07:02.Zebo is there. The Scarlets are going to the left side but Simon

:07:03. > :07:07.Zebo is too far over on one side. Scarlets look like they are coming

:07:08. > :07:11.this way. Penalty advantage. Patchell spots this, sharp, quick

:07:12. > :07:15.thinking. Earl is on the left-wing, he'll have to drop back. Zebo is out

:07:16. > :07:22.of position. Williams holds the width. It's a lovely weighted kick.

:07:23. > :07:26.Zebo has too much to do. Then it's all about the race and the bounce.

:07:27. > :07:29.Williams on his form is going to take that chance. Such an important

:07:30. > :07:32.time as well because Munster had taken the lead 3-0. The crowd were

:07:33. > :07:37.starting to get into it. Straight from the kick off. They took the

:07:38. > :07:41.advantage and it seemed to just take the wind out of Munster and give

:07:42. > :07:46.Scarlets the confidence to carry on doing what they have been doing for

:07:47. > :07:50.the last couple of weeks. A feature is how Scarlets have got the ball

:07:51. > :07:57.wide, taking advantage, exploiting the narrow Munster defence.

:07:58. > :08:00.That Saili knock-on which you and Jonathan disagreed on in the

:08:01. > :08:04.commentary box. Whether it was a yellow or not is there to be debated

:08:05. > :08:09.but he's not sure how to defend on that. On the outside, the wrong

:08:10. > :08:14.people in the wrong places. Look how much room he's got. Three players.

:08:15. > :08:18.First instinct is always to step in. He knows what he's doing there. That

:08:19. > :08:24.was just a sign of things to come later on. They goat O'Mahony on.

:08:25. > :08:26.They're all over the pitch defensively and Scarlets are

:08:27. > :08:38.clinical enough to take advantage of that. If that Steph Evans try showed

:08:39. > :08:43.us anything, it was that Steff Evans try? And the Gareth Williams miss as

:08:44. > :08:47.well. It's sloppy from them. Uncharacteristic. Look at the

:08:48. > :08:52.Scarlets pulling back. They recognise they have to hold depth.

:08:53. > :08:57.These outside guys, O'Mahony and Saili, they dive in. Scarlets were

:08:58. > :09:01.good last week. That was Shingler there. I want you to watch Rob Evans

:09:02. > :09:06.and Gareth Davies and latterly coming up Scott William's effort.

:09:07. > :09:10.These two boys do great but look at the Scarlets players. Loosehead

:09:11. > :09:14.prop. Bust a gut to get on the inside and that is the difference

:09:15. > :09:20.between the two. Forwards running with the ball of supporting lines,

:09:21. > :09:25.the handling skills, it's part of the Scarlets' creed. I guarantee

:09:26. > :09:29.you, they train that way. Huge credit to the coaching staff because

:09:30. > :09:34.you are given freedom to express yourself, you train like that

:09:35. > :09:39.throughout the week and they look like a team who enjoyed themselves

:09:40. > :09:45.going out to play rugby and they are not afraid to make mistakes. The

:09:46. > :09:48.outcome is fantastic. They have just been, their speed of thought and

:09:49. > :09:55.speed of body, that much quicker than Munster in the first half. You

:09:56. > :09:59.mentioned Gareth Davies' missed try. That would have been try of the

:10:00. > :10:06.season arguably. Sublime playing again. The support lines are great.

:10:07. > :10:12.This is Ryan Elias. Watch Gareth Davies there. Great from Scott

:10:13. > :10:16.Williams but you get what you deserve. He's got the gas to go

:10:17. > :10:22.away. Great score. That was timely as well. It was timely. You have

:10:23. > :10:27.been talking in glowing terms particularly at the semi-final stage

:10:28. > :10:39.about the two Scarlets second rows, no

:10:40. > :10:47.but Jake Ball but Tadhg Beirne. They say they haven't got power upfront

:10:48. > :10:57.but that shows that they have. A fantastic carry. Lewis Rawlins was

:10:58. > :11:00.outstanding last week, he ruffled Johnny Sexton. They stopped

:11:01. > :11:05.Manchester's attack. Truly outstanding. Last week and this

:11:06. > :11:08.week. Talk about two guys punching above their weight, neither of them

:11:09. > :11:12.second rows but putting themselves about on the pitch and talking of

:11:13. > :11:18.punching, I think Phil Steel's got an interesting guest alongside him.

:11:19. > :11:24.What do you support if you are Welsh today? We are all Scarlets today.

:11:25. > :11:36.Even this man, boxing coach Garrett loch, how is a Cwmbran boy a Scarlet

:11:37. > :11:43.today? A couple of the boys are friends of mine. My wife is a fan

:11:44. > :11:55.and her father was a doctor for them so I have no choice. You have been

:11:56. > :12:02.doing work with Rhys Patchell? Yes, I've been working with a few. We saw

:12:03. > :12:06.how versatile they were. Last week. It was brilliant. Taught him

:12:07. > :12:11.anything he shouldn't be doing on a rugby field? No, that is not my

:12:12. > :12:15.expertise but he's a very versatile guy, he's got power and he's

:12:16. > :12:20.explosive and has a very good ingin. Put your Scarlets fan head back on.

:12:21. > :12:28.What did you make of the first half? Absolutely mind blowing. They've

:12:29. > :12:32.just been beating them for pace. I'm no expert but they are doing

:12:33. > :12:36.fantastic. Let's just hope that they don't throw the towel in now. In

:12:37. > :12:45.boxing parlance one more try would be the knockout blow? 100%

:12:46. > :12:47.definitely. You heard from it Gary Lockett, former boxing champion

:12:48. > :12:50.there. We have a whole half of rugby yet to

:12:51. > :12:57.come. There's already enough highlights to fill an hour's

:12:58. > :13:01.programme. We do have highlights tomorrow, Up Five Sunday, Sean,

:13:02. > :13:02.Martin and myself coming to you at 6 o'clock. So much to talk about

:13:03. > :13:10.already. You heard Martin say earlier

:13:11. > :13:14.Jonathan Davies was lost for words, he lost the power of speech. Let's

:13:15. > :13:18.talk to him now. We have been discussing what an outrageous,

:13:19. > :13:22.almost unbelievable first half of rugby that was. Ever seen anything

:13:23. > :13:28.quite like that in a final? No, not really. As the boy said earlier, you

:13:29. > :13:33.get to the final and the nerves take over. They stay true to the way

:13:34. > :13:37.they've played all season. They've looked for the off-load, then when

:13:38. > :13:42.there's a turnover, they've done it wide. A good example was when they

:13:43. > :13:45.are all falling back. As soon as someone sees an opportunity to drop

:13:46. > :13:50.deep, they put themselves back into a position to take the ball. For me

:13:51. > :13:54.the execution and awareness and the way they've wanted to play has been

:13:55. > :14:01.brilliant. How many times have we said, the try before half time, yes,

:14:02. > :14:04.you know, an example for them knowing they can't take Munster for

:14:05. > :14:08.granted. They have got to come out here and play. I thought Munster

:14:09. > :14:13.looked all at sea. They don't have the pace to two from distance. Maybe

:14:14. > :14:16.keep on playing when the opportunities are there, but keep

:14:17. > :14:20.Munster in their own 22 as well and live on their mistakes from there.

:14:21. > :14:25.Almost a case of a compromise keeper, an element of flair to the

:14:26. > :14:30.game, pragmatism too in the second happen? Yes, they just can't stop

:14:31. > :14:33.playing. They've gotten to this position through the confidence.

:14:34. > :14:43.When they see opportunities, they need to take them. The skills have

:14:44. > :14:47.been brilliant. Still a big, big 40 minutes to play but they've got to

:14:48. > :14:52.play slightly percentages with the conditions as well. To go back on

:14:53. > :14:55.the way the Scarlets have been playing, it's evident the coaches

:14:56. > :15:01.have encouraged them to give it a go. The boys said they're smiling,

:15:02. > :15:05.being encouraged to take chances and not to play within themselveses? For

:15:06. > :15:10.me, we've all known the Scarlets brand has been play open attractive

:15:11. > :15:15.rugby and there's been times in past great sides that the forwards could

:15:16. > :15:20.handle. That's been the big, big improvement in the Scarlets.

:15:21. > :15:26.Everyone's having a go at Sampson Lee because he's on a scrummager. He

:15:27. > :15:31.is aware, gets the pass away, so the front five has been instrumental how

:15:32. > :15:36.the Scarlets have played this year and they've got to take a lot of

:15:37. > :15:39.credit. Are they going to win? Well, in this position I think everyone in

:15:40. > :15:44.Wales will be disappointed if they don't win. I think they will win but

:15:45. > :15:49.they have to keep playing. Thank you, Jonathan Davies in the

:15:50. > :15:55.commentary box. What is the message from Wayne Pivac then? The kind of

:15:56. > :15:59.football phrase, don't park the bus, don't allow Munster on to

:16:00. > :16:04.yourselves. You have seen how clinical they are, they try to maul

:16:05. > :16:10.from every line they have had in the attacking half and the first

:16:11. > :16:15.halfment they have to keep playing and keep the confidence up. I would

:16:16. > :16:19.be saying perhaps at 19 pints, take the next kickable three fk, that

:16:20. > :16:24.takes you to 22, that's four scores, if you can't win it from there, you

:16:25. > :16:29.don't deserve to win it. Absolutely. Four scores it's game over. Munster

:16:30. > :16:33.have come with a game plan to play narrow and tight. It's difficult to

:16:34. > :16:40.go from a narrow plan to a wide plan. It's difficult. Huge task for

:16:41. > :16:43.Munster. It's going to have to be one of the all-time greats...

:16:44. > :16:47.Showned like a coach. I should have been a coach, one of the old-time

:16:48. > :16:51.ones. I'm sure the confidence and momentum they've got, the Scarlets,

:16:52. > :16:56.I don't want to, you know, tempt fate, but they're home for me.

:16:57. > :17:00.Let us have a look at the Munster try. They don't give up these

:17:01. > :17:04.Munster players and they got themselves back in it with this.

:17:05. > :17:09.Very, very clinical. The Scarlets will have been aware of Saili and

:17:10. > :17:22.the threat. He's lining up here. He'll be looking to identify. Very

:17:23. > :17:25.clever coaching. Bleyendaal wasted the minute because they wanted to go

:17:26. > :17:31.into half time with a positive. Psychological. The message from the

:17:32. > :17:34.Scarlets dressing room, we know it will be, don't give up. They have

:17:35. > :17:41.staying power. What will the message have been? The message will be, you

:17:42. > :17:45.have 40 minutes left. Let's be honest, a lot of people will have

:17:46. > :17:50.come here expecting Munster to win. Like Shaun says, they have had a

:17:51. > :17:54.tough season emogsly, all the tragedy off the field. Mostly, they

:17:55. > :18:03.look spent and drained and it's so difficult. I'm sure Erasmus will

:18:04. > :18:10.say, leave it behind -- so much emotion. The crowd aloud here,

:18:11. > :18:13.45,000. You can see the flags flying, the Munster flags, a lone

:18:14. > :18:17.Welsh flag flying there up in the stand. Plenty of Scarlets fans

:18:18. > :18:24.making their voices heard here as well. Martin Williams is about to

:18:25. > :18:32.return to the commentary box to join Jonathan and Gareth. Let's hopefor

:18:33. > :18:39.another scintillating second half. Spell bounding from the Scarlets. It

:18:40. > :18:46.will take a comeback of all comebacks for Munster. If there's

:18:47. > :18:50.any kick of a penalty in the second half, you take them all, I wouldn't

:18:51. > :18:55.just take the first one, I would take every one, keep the score board

:18:56. > :18:59.ticking over. I think first to score makes this a very, very interesting

:19:00. > :19:05.encounter now. First to score in this second half. What a

:19:06. > :19:14.performance. But only half a job done. The quality of the rugby has

:19:15. > :19:21.been top notch. The Scarlets are 40 minutes away from capping off a

:19:22. > :19:47.superb season. Patchell. Zebo. First mistake comes from Kilcoyne.

:19:48. > :19:58.Davies is on it in a flash. Saili. So narrow again. Just incredible.

:19:59. > :20:10.Saili is just shooting up to the line.

:20:11. > :20:18.O'Donnell trying to fight his way back in. Kill joining looking to

:20:19. > :20:21.make up for the first little slip. -- Kilcoyne looking to make up for

:20:22. > :20:29.the first little slip. Scannell. Ryan. The three front-row members

:20:30. > :20:33.getting their hands on the ball early doors in the second half.

:20:34. > :20:44.Taken by Andrew Conway. The crowd doing everything to get behind

:20:45. > :20:49.Munster. They didn't step back there. Two passes behind the line

:20:50. > :20:52.and nobody stepped back to receive it out wide. They did well to get

:20:53. > :21:08.that over the gain line. Three scores Scarlets are defending.

:21:09. > :21:27.O'Donnell runs the angle. Very good tackle. Rawlins is all over the

:21:28. > :21:34.first ball. Bleyendaal. Rawlins. He did a job on Johnny Sexton last

:21:35. > :21:41.week. Zebo steps in. Finds Jonathan Davies. Across comes Liam Williams.

:21:42. > :21:52.Creates the space behind. Forwards defending there. Peete O'Mahony

:21:53. > :21:57.can't catch it. Ter O'Mahony can't catch it. They couldn't break

:21:58. > :22:01.through. Kicked. Result for the Scarlets defence. Pushed back to the

:22:02. > :22:22.22 as well. It'sthe old adage about the pace.

:22:23. > :22:37.Right throughout the Scarlets team, they have pace.

:22:38. > :22:49.This is a big kick, this is. This could kill any kind of momentum that

:22:50. > :22:57.Munster had. I would definitely maybe change the tactic.

:22:58. > :23:03.I just think that if you play Munster and turn them and put them

:23:04. > :23:06.in their own 22, they don't look as if they've got the pace to two the

:23:07. > :23:35.length. Maybe Zebo. Patchell safely inside the far post

:23:36. > :23:41.and now it becomes a four-score game again. Shaun mentioned at half time,

:23:42. > :23:45.that is huge, four scores, a long, long way back from Manchester

:23:46. > :23:50.though. Four scores and they don't look like scoring unless they are

:23:51. > :24:12.near the try line. A big powerful South African for the

:24:13. > :24:19.quickest player, O'Donnell. It's not going to bring more pace.

:24:20. > :24:29.Support inside from Keith Earls. Into the 22. Got a fine touch there.

:24:30. > :24:36.Bleyendaal can't get his kick through. Patchell stabs at it again.

:24:37. > :24:46.Got no confidence with ball in hand. Rawlins again with the hit. Even

:24:47. > :24:51.when they break Zebo, the speed of the Scarlets get it back in defence.

:24:52. > :24:55.Yards in front of the Munster players.

:24:56. > :25:04.Williams got sucked in there. For me, a restart, you put that in the

:25:05. > :25:10.stands and then you start again. Scarlets don't need to chase the

:25:11. > :25:19.game and keep the tempo up. Kick it into touch and lead the attack.

:25:20. > :25:30.Geesele has come on in the front row. . The impact has to be earlier.

:25:31. > :25:33.Only five minutes gone and they needed to do something very, very

:25:34. > :26:05.quickly. Solid scrum. Williams short side,

:26:06. > :26:13.look. That's it. Bit flatter it needed to be.

:26:14. > :26:19.There's confidence and there's confidence.

:26:20. > :26:27.John Davies hits the gap. Support comes from his brother James.

:26:28. > :26:42.Knocked on by Shingler in the tackle.

:26:43. > :26:54.I just think, Jonathan Davies, a great break, he surprised everyone.

:26:55. > :27:00.I think there's a kick on here. I have to say, it's kind of reminds me

:27:01. > :27:08.when that they prop the ball up and expect somebody to be there. Maybe

:27:09. > :27:14.should have hit the deck. Jonathan is so explosive and powerful. When

:27:15. > :27:18.they get the ball, the Scarlets, the forwards, they are so powerful and

:27:19. > :27:23.quick off the mark and create havoc. Tip of the hat to the coaches

:27:24. > :27:28.because they've brought the style out and they're improving the

:27:29. > :27:30.players on the pitch as well. It's benefitting the players, they feel

:27:31. > :27:34.comfortable at it and these are the results. Their work rate in attack

:27:35. > :27:48.and defence off the ball is phenomenal.

:27:49. > :27:55.This will suit the Scarlets. Even though nothing came of the attack,

:27:56. > :28:01.the game has slowed down a bit and stops a bit, kills a bit more time

:28:02. > :28:04.on the clock. It's very difficult. Looking back, did anyone see these

:28:05. > :28:09.performances coming. Which game did we see the start of it? I think it

:28:10. > :28:14.was Connacht away at the beginning of the season. The way they went to

:28:15. > :28:25.the sports ground. Such a difficult place to play, they seem to get

:28:26. > :28:28.confidence from this. Already Once you've got momentum as a team...

:28:29. > :28:32.They went to Glasgow as well and won, they went to Munster and won.

:28:33. > :28:36.Those were the confidence-building bricks and then the performance

:28:37. > :28:41.against Connacht. Look at how they've stepped up to this level.

:28:42. > :29:03.Davies gives himself room to get the kick in. They've put themselves

:29:04. > :29:22.under pressure. You don't see the Munster players

:29:23. > :29:29.talking to the referee. Peter O'Mahony has a chat with his

:29:30. > :29:34.forwards. The clock is ticking. Just over half an hour remaining. 22

:29:35. > :29:37.points Scarlets lead. Stand-off to defend this line. And they get their

:29:38. > :29:48.reward. Accidental offside. Smart play from

:29:49. > :30:04.the Scarlets for outthinking them. Accidental offside, red ball. There

:30:05. > :30:10.we are. Just keeps hold of that. He's transferred it and made contact

:30:11. > :30:32.with Scarlets. Get on with the game. The strongest weapon... They will be

:30:33. > :30:46.happy. They are not showing it at the moment. Hang on.

:30:47. > :30:58.Looking to get the Scarlets down field. Zebo, he is looking an

:30:59. > :31:03.attacking threat. They have been few and far between for Munster. Saili

:31:04. > :31:17.hugging the wing. Liam Williams not letting go. The defensive line. Jean

:31:18. > :31:26.Deysel. Stephen Archer. He was way offside. I think Nigel felt sorry

:31:27. > :31:39.for him and would not penalised him. Steffan Evans. Zebo again. A the

:31:40. > :31:51.Scarlets ball. Did not affect play? Offside? Taking a man in the air? He

:31:52. > :32:02.took a knee from Zebo. Rob Evans looks like an international centre.

:32:03. > :32:13.He should have stayed on his feet. You were very lucky that you had no

:32:14. > :32:17.affect on that ball. Change, Rob Evans and Gareth Davies depart. It

:32:18. > :32:21.is incredible to think that yesterday morning, Jonathan Evans

:32:22. > :32:26.was waving goodbye to a bus-load of mates who were going on his stag

:32:27. > :32:31.weekend and he is coming here to play the Cup Final. I bet he got

:32:32. > :32:39.some stick for that for booking his stag weekend on the final. I am sure

:32:40. > :32:56.they are watching. I think they are in Budapest. Turnover. They need

:32:57. > :33:05.something fast, Munster. The clock is against them now. They need

:33:06. > :33:08.something click. -- they need something quick. That is the longest

:33:09. > :33:16.kick that Bleyendaal has ever put in. Have they gone off the top at

:33:17. > :33:29.all, Munster? Every line-out has been a drive. The backline looks so

:33:30. > :33:33.disjointed. Billy Holland makes way for Jack O'Donoghue. A back row

:33:34. > :33:41.player coming on for a second row player. Peter O'Mahony will probably

:33:42. > :33:51.move up into the second row alongside Donnacha Ryan. The front

:33:52. > :33:58.ball as well. There goes CJ Stander and Saili but Scott Williams was

:33:59. > :34:06.there watching. Conway was there. There is some variation in the

:34:07. > :34:20.Munster play. Narrow again, look at them, narrow, narrow in defence and

:34:21. > :34:25.narrow in attack. Dave Kilcoyne. Tadigh Beirne. Superb. When you see

:34:26. > :34:31.a situation like that, a player coming into attack, it is so

:34:32. > :34:38.difficult, he managed to remove Barclay, but Tadigh Beirne stayed in

:34:39. > :34:43.there. Just watch, they do the break, you see how isolated one

:34:44. > :34:49.player is. He comes up, that two the Scarlets boys are waiting for him.

:34:50. > :34:54.He has to make them safe. He has got to put those into the crowd. Does

:34:55. > :34:59.not matter about distance, get the ball back. Keep the ball in your

:35:00. > :35:09.hands and he cannot score. They have got to do a bit more defending now.

:35:10. > :35:16.That is far more tiring. Get up, make amends for the missed kick.

:35:17. > :35:23.Conway arrives first. Munster stay on the front foot. Kilcoyne, looking

:35:24. > :35:30.to get the numbers going left. Zebo. Big pounds from Taute. Keith Earls.

:35:31. > :35:41.A lot of red shirts behind him. Stephen Archer. The Scarlets, one

:35:42. > :35:55.player in the ruck. Jean Deysel out the back door. Denies Scannell in

:35:56. > :36:00.the end. I think that is Kruger. John Barclay ready at scrum-half.

:36:01. > :36:04.Elias does the job. They need the right players in the right

:36:05. > :36:19.positions, now Jonathan Evans is in the right position. Liam Williams

:36:20. > :36:29.challenging. Not the best box kick by Evans, he needed the height on it

:36:30. > :36:37.and he is disappointed with himself. If they can play in between the 22

:36:38. > :36:44.is, the Scarlets will be happy. It is stop and start for Munster. Same

:36:45. > :36:54.change for a the Scarlets as they did last week. Hadleigh Parkes is

:36:55. > :36:58.coming on. Hadleigh Parkes started every game last year, has featured

:36:59. > :37:04.in every game this year in the league. I still think that is a

:37:05. > :37:10.strange decision, but for me, you need a specialist then on the field

:37:11. > :37:17.to control the game. The ball kicker, Liam Williams does not look

:37:18. > :37:23.confident kicking the penalties. Just like ten, controlling a game.

:37:24. > :37:30.The kicking game, to keep the Munster side in the right areas, it

:37:31. > :37:35.is still important. Quarter of an hour of the second-half goal, 25

:37:36. > :37:44.remaining. The Scarlets defending a 22 point lead as Conor Murray puts

:37:45. > :37:48.the ball wide. Just tap set. Back goes Steffan Evans to cover. Three

:37:49. > :37:55.Munster meant to put pressure on him. This is dangerous. The Scarlets

:37:56. > :38:05.have done well. They have flooded back there to support the winner.

:38:06. > :38:15.Steffan Evans did well there. It is only a few metres, though. The kick

:38:16. > :38:26.again is their best attacking option. There is the kick, he just

:38:27. > :38:32.got caught a little bit. Steffan Evans did exceptionally well. He

:38:33. > :38:40.goes in, Johnny McNicholl goes back to help him. They scored a try from

:38:41. > :38:50.a line-out. That was at the end of the first half, Munster. Looking to

:38:51. > :38:53.keep themselves in this game, Munster, driving force, Marshall

:38:54. > :39:04.just short. The penalty comes their way and it could be yellow. I am not

:39:05. > :39:18.going to penalised the first offence. They have absolutely flown

:39:19. > :39:22.in there, no arms. First offence is it is a penalty for Munster at the

:39:23. > :39:38.moment but now they have to wait to see it. They get it a little bit

:39:39. > :39:44.isolated, Munster. Here he goes. Conor Murray has flown over. I think

:39:45. > :39:49.Peter O'Mahony flies in with a shoulder, there is not much you can

:39:50. > :39:54.do in that position, maybe it is at penalty against Peter O'Mahony. I

:39:55. > :40:02.think he would be unlucky. Conor Murray flies in, that is a penalty.

:40:03. > :40:12.You cannot drop your shoulder into someone's back like that. That is a

:40:13. > :40:15.penalty. Yes it is. That is just born out of frustration, that is.

:40:16. > :40:31.And a penalty has been turned over. It does not matter. You control

:40:32. > :40:37.yourself. You're lucky it is just a penalty. It is a good example. Peter

:40:38. > :40:44.O'Mahony said he is so low, I cannot hear him out. I sympathise with

:40:45. > :40:51.Peter. John Davies cannot affect the play. You should leave him. He saw a

:40:52. > :40:59.little bit of red mist. They are 22 points down. You would have got away

:41:00. > :41:04.with that ten years ago. In this day and age, you cannot get away with

:41:05. > :41:10.it. I think that is why you should bring rocking back. If he is so low

:41:11. > :41:20.you can run away, if you ruck him, he rolls away very quickly.

:41:21. > :41:29.Tell us about that change, Hadleigh Parkes coming on? He has been

:41:30. > :41:38.endured recently and it was to stop him tiring. Parkes was a centre for

:41:39. > :41:42.most of his career but he can play as a tense. We need more of a

:41:43. > :41:50.defensive ability with the pressure from Munster. Are you going to do

:41:51. > :41:54.it? Fingers crossed. A huge challenge still. Munster are coming

:41:55. > :41:58.at us with everything. We need to play the right time and take the

:41:59. > :42:07.points when they come our way. Thank you. I am quite surprised, that CJ

:42:08. > :42:14.Stander would be tired in approach well. If they called me off for 60

:42:15. > :42:18.minutes and a final, I do not think I would have gone quietly. They

:42:19. > :42:30.would have had to have dragged me off! Van der Merwe looking for his

:42:31. > :42:42.50th Pro12 try before he departs for the Aviva Premiership next year.

:42:43. > :42:50.Leinster, a little dink over the top. They do not look confident,

:42:51. > :42:56.ball in hand. There is no creativity whatsoever. You kick the ball away,

:42:57. > :43:00.hoping you will regain it. You have to go through the phases and have a

:43:01. > :43:09.little bit more confidence in own ability. Their plane into the hands

:43:10. > :43:18.of the Scarlets there. -- they are playing. Maybe a kick downfield from

:43:19. > :43:22.the Scarlets. You can see the frustration, you can see that

:43:23. > :43:33.Donnacha Ryan, Peter O'Mahony, it is on the line-out, on with it. Control

:43:34. > :43:44.the ball forward the Scarlets now. He is all over the show. They have

:43:45. > :43:48.to play a little bit, don't they? It is like the second half against

:43:49. > :43:53.Leinster when they had to close shop a little bit because they were a man

:43:54. > :44:05.short. But now, there are just not playing. -- they are just not

:44:06. > :44:17.playing. The change has affected the whole game, maybe. The distance from

:44:18. > :44:30.Hadleigh Parkes. The thigh is heavily strapped.

:44:31. > :44:39.Doubt ball was stripped from Jonny Evans and Keith Earls has put it

:44:40. > :44:45.down field. -- that ball. Hadleigh Parkes is aiming there. I think they

:44:46. > :44:49.have lost their shape now, I think they have lost their shape and they

:44:50. > :44:55.are trying to close the game down. There are 20 minutes left. They have

:44:56. > :45:01.a very good buffer. The control has gone. Steffan Evans has gone off.

:45:02. > :45:05.Even though you can see him with an ice pack on his right forearm, I

:45:06. > :45:10.checked with Mark Taylor and he said, it was not an injury

:45:11. > :45:13.substitution, it was a tactical substitution. A bit of wear and

:45:14. > :45:36.tear. Simon Zebo has had to leave the

:45:37. > :45:42.field in the end. We are in the final quarter and still the the

:45:43. > :45:54.Scarlets, four scores ahead. They have the only points of the second

:45:55. > :46:06.half. That Rhys Patchell penalty. We have hardly mentioned CJ Stander.

:46:07. > :46:15.Even John Barclay is kicking now. Keith Earls looks long downfield.

:46:16. > :46:30.That is not the greatest spectacle at the minute.

:46:31. > :46:45.David Bulbring amps Will Boyde are now on. Lewis Rawlins lay the

:46:46. > :46:49.foundations defensively. Brilliant performances. I think Lewis Rollins

:46:50. > :46:53.has been sensational. They think of the Welsh tour. Definitely worth a

:46:54. > :47:08.start. Hadleigh Parkes happy to drop it on

:47:09. > :47:16.halfway. Scott Williams, to John Davies. Straight through Bleyendaal.

:47:17. > :47:29.Jack O'Donoghue get the tackling. Over the top. Jack O'Donoghue. They

:47:30. > :47:37.have just lost their heads. -- gets the tackle in.

:47:38. > :47:57.The Aviva Stadium has been silenced. 44,000 500. It will be a good kick

:47:58. > :48:11.from the centre, not go far too much distance for now. Great kick. Now

:48:12. > :48:17.then, this is the place, hit the switch again. Close again out. --

:48:18. > :48:34.close the game out. Will Boyde at the front of the line,

:48:35. > :48:37.James Davies has it safely tucked away with Aaron Shingler ready to

:48:38. > :48:45.come away with it if there is a sniff of a chance down the

:48:46. > :48:50.blindside. It is not going anywhere. They will not mind, the Scarlets, a

:48:51. > :48:56.couple more minutes off the clock by the time they reset the scrum.

:48:57. > :49:04.Munster do not look like they will be able to go 75 or 80 metres. As

:49:05. > :49:11.long as Zebo has gone off, they are not going to get anything done

:49:12. > :49:24.outside. They have a lying deep here. The only thing, if they kick

:49:25. > :49:31.across field again, Wyn Jones again on the near side. Only missed one

:49:32. > :49:38.league game this season. That has earned him the collar up for the

:49:39. > :49:46.Welsh tour. -- the call up for the Welsh tour. That has been impressive

:49:47. > :49:53.thing about the scholars, ye mention the likes of Tadigh Beirne and Will

:49:54. > :49:58.Boyde, they have really stepped up to the plate -- but think about the

:49:59. > :50:07.the Scarlets, you mention the likes of. They have played a very

:50:08. > :50:11.important role. They have played exceptionally well when they have

:50:12. > :50:41.started. It looks a stronger all round squad. Great effort.

:50:42. > :50:49.You have to feel for Munster, it has been such a tough season.

:50:50. > :50:54.Disappointing for them. They had a great finish to the season, overtook

:50:55. > :51:03.Leinster at the top of the table but they certainly met their match

:51:04. > :51:06.today. Not very often you see Munster fans leaving, but quite a

:51:07. > :51:24.few are leaving now and that face says it all. The clock is ticking

:51:25. > :51:35.away. Up until now, it has been a disappointing second half. Johnny

:51:36. > :51:42.McNicholl. Liam Williams. He started it all for the Scarlets, way back in

:51:43. > :51:47.the eighth minute. I still think the two centres are harder to cope with.

:51:48. > :51:59.Great play by Scott Williams. Saili again. Flying up at him. Shingler.

:52:00. > :52:21.Parkes. You mentioned the centres, for the

:52:22. > :52:27.Scarlets, they do look like a different combination from the ones

:52:28. > :52:50.who played for Wales. Top-quality attackers.

:52:51. > :53:07.Munster fans have seen enough, the Scarlets fans are getting more

:53:08. > :53:24.drinks in. Hadleigh Parkes. Jean Deysel. He has another go. CJ

:53:25. > :53:32.Stander. Ian Keatley. That is nothing kick really, easy, he has

:53:33. > :53:45.time to stay in his 22 and put it out of play.

:53:46. > :54:10.No sense of urgency is still for Munster. I think they are resigned

:54:11. > :54:17.to defeat. Rhys Marshall. Taute. Saili. Nothing going right for

:54:18. > :54:24.Munster. Frustration all around for Munster, but again, there is no

:54:25. > :54:31.subtlety and creativity there. Brute force, take the ball to the line,

:54:32. > :54:37.hit a good angle. They will be disappointed with what they have

:54:38. > :54:42.offered today, to be honest. Munster, three times champions,

:54:43. > :55:08.2003, 2009 and 20 11. Parkes. Good flick on by Scott

:55:09. > :55:15.Williams. Van der Merwe. He is still coming and he has done it. It is a

:55:16. > :55:19.50th try for DTH van der Merwe. He has reached a half-century in his

:55:20. > :55:23.last game and the Scarlets, live in the second half and they are going

:55:24. > :55:30.to be crowned at where the champions. A fitting finish. That is

:55:31. > :55:34.going to be another final try. It is such an easy play. They get on the

:55:35. > :55:41.outside, quick hands by Scott Williams and a brilliant finish.

:55:42. > :55:45.Brilliant finish. DTH van der Merwe will be leaving with a big smile on

:55:46. > :55:51.his face. He was not passing that ball. Brilliant flick from Scott

:55:52. > :55:56.Williams. Quick hands from Jonathan Davies. They have been superb. There

:55:57. > :56:03.was no stopping him. Brilliant, DTH van der Merwe. I do not think

:56:04. > :56:16.Bleyendaal wanted to do much of this tackle. There he goes. The hand off.

:56:17. > :56:23.Celebrations all around, it has been muted second half. But half a chance

:56:24. > :56:24.and sublime skills from Scott Williams, brilliant finish from DTH

:56:25. > :56:44.van der Merwe. Liam Williams continues with his

:56:45. > :56:48.successful kicking, a couple of penalties in the semifinal and

:56:49. > :56:54.converting the fifth try. It is so nice to see, the simple skills

:56:55. > :57:05.executed so well, lovely, lovely finish there. Nice friend, says it

:57:06. > :57:18.all, big big smile. The South African born Canadian, on his way to

:57:19. > :57:23.the try line. Donnacha Ryan, disappointing final game for him in

:57:24. > :57:30.Munster colours. Keatley has banned a bit of space but even then, the

:57:31. > :57:34.touchline beats and Keith Earls. Liam Williams fell over and Keith

:57:35. > :57:50.Earls is then. It comes from the cross kick, isn't it can?

:57:51. > :58:00.That is the biggest attendance at a final over 44 and a half thousand

:58:01. > :58:09.and travelling the Scarlets fans. No one thought never going to be here.

:58:10. > :58:19.It is great effort. -- no one thought they were ever going to be

:58:20. > :58:24.here. Charged down by Duncan Williams. Shingler wins the race and

:58:25. > :58:34.the effort is still there from minute one to minute 73. He has had

:58:35. > :58:41.another excellent season. He has been outstanding. He is so athletic.

:58:42. > :58:47.He has a great support player. His line-out play has been exceptional.

:58:48. > :58:49.We are not picking a man of the match today but he has got to be in

:58:50. > :59:03.the running. Munster kept their hopes alive with

:59:04. > :59:09.a late try in the first half. It would just be keeping pride alive

:59:10. > :59:18.with a late try in the second. Look how deep they are. They have been

:59:19. > :59:22.comprehensively beaten today. Two missed opportunities in the first

:59:23. > :59:32.half. Closed down in the second half, the the Scarlets.

:59:33. > :59:36.We were offering the Scarlets a 7-point start at the start of the

:59:37. > :59:50.game. Confirmation of what you said

:59:51. > :00:01.earlier because the man of the match is the Scarlets number six, Aaron

:00:02. > :00:06.Shingler. It is very acrobatic, to be fair, from Conway. They need to

:00:07. > :00:23.put them into touch. Munster are still very deep. A bit

:00:24. > :00:30.of space for Marshall. Conway heading for the corner. Conway with

:00:31. > :00:37.a superb finish. But it's too little too late for Munster. It's crumbs of

:00:38. > :00:44.comfort as Conway gets the first try in the second half for them. Only

:00:45. > :00:47.five minutes remaining. Yes, they sucked one of the wingers in, once

:00:48. > :00:52.they put Conway away, he wasn't going to be stopped. He kept it in

:00:53. > :00:57.play from the kick, to be fair. Yes, again, but that come from a missed

:00:58. > :01:02.penalty kick. Good play. The hooker is chasing. They couldn't

:01:03. > :01:12.communicate to stay on the fast man. Easy finish. Missed conversion. It's

:01:13. > :01:15.not very often in a Cup Final you can sit back, relax and enjoy the

:01:16. > :01:34.last four minutes. That is the kind of finishing the

:01:35. > :01:56.Irish national team would want to see.

:01:57. > :02:25.Good hands from Archer. No room for O'Donoghue. Williams straight into

:02:26. > :02:29.Shingler. He waits for ah Cheshire coming around the corner -- Archer

:02:30. > :02:35.coming around the corner. Saili tries to go for the gap. Good

:02:36. > :03:05.support from Bleyendaal. Keith Earls.

:03:06. > :03:17.Williams. Munster can keeping at it. Even then, it's not going to be

:03:18. > :03:35.enough. Two late tries for Munster. To spoil

:03:36. > :03:49.the Scarlets party. It's all been too much for one young Munster fan.

:03:50. > :04:20.Williams. The Scarlets are going to tire after putting in such an

:04:21. > :04:27.effort. This could be the last play. Tadhg

:04:28. > :05:14.Beirne is not going to let go. Williams to Keatley. Still they

:05:15. > :05:18.persist with the kick-through and James Davies finds the road clear

:05:19. > :05:23.and the Scarlets are going to have the last words and the Scarlets are

:05:24. > :05:30.going to finish in the style they've shown today and throughout the

:05:31. > :05:36.season. More than 40 points, half a dozen tries and the Scarlets are

:05:37. > :05:43.worthy winners and worthy champions. Turned into a bit of a sevens

:05:44. > :05:47.towards the end and the sevens specialist is this guy, James

:05:48. > :05:52.Davies, just to rub salt in the wounds of the Welsh once again.

:05:53. > :05:59.There he is, finishes proceedings, as I said, a brilliant performance

:06:00. > :06:02.by the Scarlets. First half performance, clinical, brilliant,

:06:03. > :06:06.brilliant rugby and they just closed the game down in the second half.

:06:07. > :06:16.Disappointed with the Munster effort. Taking nothing away from the

:06:17. > :06:20.Scarlets, they have been brilliant. The last month of the season,

:06:21. > :06:22.they've been the form side and thoroughly deserve to be the pro-12

:06:23. > :06:38.champions. Liam Williams started this afternoon

:06:39. > :06:40.with a try, the first try of the afternoon and a sign of things to

:06:41. > :06:58.come. Can he also finish it? Liam Williams signs off with two

:06:59. > :07:05.more points and the Scarlets sign off the season in style. For the

:07:06. > :07:09.second time in success, they've come to Dublin, they've excelled in the

:07:10. > :07:15.first half, consolidated in the second, created history by being the

:07:16. > :07:20.first team to win away semi-final and now they create history by

:07:21. > :07:27.becoming the first Welsh champions for five years and the first

:07:28. > :07:34.Scarlets winners for 13. The performance, the season has gone

:07:35. > :07:40.better and better as it's gone on. Wins against Edinburgh, Trev Is owe,

:07:41. > :07:47.Dragons, Connacht, Ospreys, Leinster and now Munster, have made it a

:07:48. > :07:51.crowning season for the Scarlets. They are worthy, worthy champions to

:07:52. > :07:56.score six tries and 46 points against the team of Munster's

:07:57. > :08:01.calibre. Really underlines how far the Scarlets have gone. It's been a

:08:02. > :08:07.marvellous season for them and they're brilliant. Guinness Pro-12

:08:08. > :08:16.champions. They have beaten Munster 46-22. The non-playing club captain

:08:17. > :08:21.Ken Owens is with us. How does that feel? It's great. We

:08:22. > :08:26.have come a long way in the last three years with the coaching staff

:08:27. > :08:30.and squad and I've got to be proud of the boys, especially how we dug

:08:31. > :08:35.in from losing the first three games of the season. The boys who haven't

:08:36. > :08:39.been involved up here, they've been drafted in. Massive effort, so proud

:08:40. > :08:43.of the boys today. A great way to finish it off. What was the turning

:08:44. > :08:47.point of the season, Ken? I think it was coming back from that Edinburgh

:08:48. > :08:51.game. We were disappointed losing the first three, then we went on a

:08:52. > :08:55.run, ground out wins against Connacht and teams like that and

:08:56. > :08:59.just really digging in and showing our character.

:09:00. > :09:05.We have been outstanding today. Any temptation to do a John Terry and

:09:06. > :09:10.get your kit on to go out with John Barclay? No, I don't need the

:09:11. > :09:15.attention that much. We'll see. You have got a little Lions tour to look

:09:16. > :09:20.forward to? Yes, looking forward to that, just glad to be going on the

:09:21. > :09:26.tour. Injury scare a few weeks act, but everything's as good as gold.

:09:27. > :09:32.Disappointed to miss the final but a great tour. Late-night. Early night

:09:33. > :09:37.for me. Enjoy the celebrations. Thank you. Well, Ken Owens, a happy

:09:38. > :09:44.man. I don't know who is losing their voice most, him clearing from

:09:45. > :09:47.the sidelines or Steely, but tinged with disappointment that he's not

:09:48. > :09:51.out there, but he can celebrate with his team-mates. Sum that up for us

:09:52. > :09:55.if you can, Martin? You asked me at the top of the show, would it be a

:09:56. > :09:59.shot in the arm in regional rugby if they win the Scarlets, and I think

:10:00. > :10:03.the regional game gets a lot of criticism. Wales say it's not

:10:04. > :10:07.working and we should go back to the old format. Scarlets have blown that

:10:08. > :10:12.out of the water. What they have done, gone to Leinster, the first

:10:13. > :10:17.team ever to come away with a Pro-12 win and then to dismantle a Munster

:10:18. > :10:24.side, totally dominate a side like that in the final, two of the best

:10:25. > :10:32.weeks in, forget regional rugby, but in Welsh rugby, I think it's that

:10:33. > :10:35.big an achievement. They haven't ground out results, they've played

:10:36. > :10:39.the game with a smile on their face and width in the game. It's

:10:40. > :10:43.brilliant to watch. You cannot give that group, the coaches, players,

:10:44. > :10:47.back room staff enough credit, a phenomenal few weeks. Big statement

:10:48. > :10:52.from Martin William there is, Shaun. Do you agree, is it that moment us

:10:53. > :10:58.to in front of a record crowd here in a Pro-12 final, the Scarlets have

:10:59. > :11:00.come and not just won, but absolutely obliterated Munster

:11:01. > :11:04.today? They've done it in such style. Last week, they've come to

:11:05. > :11:09.Dublin back-to-back beaten Leinster and Munster in their own backyard in

:11:10. > :11:12.front of the partisan crowd. It's a fantastic achievement. Everybody

:11:13. > :11:16.concerned from the kit man through to the people that make their food,

:11:17. > :11:20.all the players and coaching staff, it's thoroughly deserved. This is

:11:21. > :11:25.what it's about, it's about podiums. This is what brings the memories,

:11:26. > :11:29.not developing or doing OK or finishing sixth or seventh, it's

:11:30. > :11:35.podiums. They'll cherish this for the rest of their lives. We saw

:11:36. > :11:39.Aaron Shingler being interviewed there, man-of-the-match and your

:11:40. > :11:42.man-of-the-match too. There are individual standout players, but

:11:43. > :11:46.it's a team effort. These players are playing for one another and for

:11:47. > :11:50.the coaches and fans? It's a squad. Ken Owens menninged about players

:11:51. > :11:55.who were not involved today, boy who is 're there on a Tuesday, Wednesday

:11:56. > :11:58.morning doing hard graft but not getting a jersey on a Saturday and

:11:59. > :12:03.you have to keep harmony within the squad. Look at that picture there,

:12:04. > :12:10.it tells you they're really tight. The Scarlets have got some brilliant

:12:11. > :12:16.tachings in there. Boyde, Williams, Davies. And Rob Evans leading the

:12:17. > :12:23.charge in the middle. We can go back to Phil now. He's won in his own

:12:24. > :12:29.backyard, he's from Kildare. How did that feel? Absolutely incredible. I

:12:30. > :12:34.was just saying, we came here and all the Irish media gave us no

:12:35. > :12:38.chance, all the talk was Munster, Munster, Munster, same last week

:12:39. > :12:42.with lest Leinster. We all went in there and knew we could come here

:12:43. > :12:49.and get the win and we absolutely delivered tonight. Tell us about the

:12:50. > :12:53.try? Incredible feeling, what a day to do it. Absolutely unbelievable.

:12:54. > :12:58.What have the Scarlets done for you this season because you came as, not

:12:59. > :13:02.a last chance in your career but you need add kick-start? It more or less

:13:03. > :13:06.was the last chance saloon for me to be honest. Signed until late May, so

:13:07. > :13:10.to come here and get the opportunity in November to get to play, I didn't

:13:11. > :13:16.think I would be here, I honestly didn't. We are Pro-12 champion and I

:13:17. > :13:22.can't believe it. I can't wait to get back out there with those boys.

:13:23. > :13:27.Just one more thing, how far can the Scarlets go? Look, we're building.

:13:28. > :13:32.The unity within this group, I've never felt it before, the

:13:33. > :13:37.camaraderie, there's such a togetherness. If we can keep that

:13:38. > :13:41.next year, there is no limit to us. The play we are playing, we are

:13:42. > :13:44.hitting top form. We'll look at targeting Europe and Pro-12 again.

:13:45. > :13:52.But right now, tonight, we are going to enjoy it. I gather you will be in

:13:53. > :13:58.charge of the celebrations being an Irishman? No doubt about that! Have

:13:59. > :14:04.a good time. Thank you, I appreciate it. Some rock stars in the Scarlets

:14:05. > :14:07.side, some absolute rock stars, Liam Williams, James Davies we know

:14:08. > :14:13.about, Jonathan Davies and Scott Williams but it's the unsung heroes

:14:14. > :14:16.who've done the work tonight. We heard from Tadhg Beirne, Lewis

:14:17. > :14:22.Rawlins, those two have stepped up in the absence of Jake Ball and

:14:23. > :14:28.those two, well, it's a wonder Lewis Rawlins isn't on the Wales tour and

:14:29. > :14:32.Tadhg Beirne. You mentioned the rock stars and the

:14:33. > :14:35.game will always be the same, they'll always get the headlines

:14:36. > :14:41.because those are the pretty boys that score the tries. In the Engine

:14:42. > :14:45.House, the amount of work they've done, the amount of tackles they

:14:46. > :14:49.have had, they have got to get up off their feet and make another

:14:50. > :14:53.tackle which they do, they do the line-out. They've been phenomenal,

:14:54. > :14:57.they really, really have been. The two second rows. They deserve all

:14:58. > :15:02.the credit. Winning line-outs, carrying, they are not the biggest,

:15:03. > :15:09.but they use their footwork and they're quick. Shingler there doing

:15:10. > :15:12.the hard graft. Extra two or three metres looks nothing but makes such

:15:13. > :15:15.a difference. Again, making the tackles and it's just the work rate

:15:16. > :15:19.and the energy they've brought to the team. When you are playing in a

:15:20. > :15:23.side and your second rows are doing that sort of dirty, hard work, it

:15:24. > :15:27.makes it so much easier for the rest of the team and they've been

:15:28. > :15:31.outstanding over the last few weeks. When your second rows are

:15:32. > :15:36.functioning and the numbers are high like that, your team functions well,

:15:37. > :15:43.it's a well known fact and the coaches have given them confidence.

:15:44. > :15:49.Shingler and Boyde for example have functioned well off the back of

:15:50. > :15:57.that. It's fitting they get their rewards. How Shingler was not on the

:15:58. > :16:00.original tour I will never know. We have got to give a word to

:16:01. > :16:06.Manchester as well. It's been a tough season for them emotionally.

:16:07. > :16:11.It was a sad way for them to finish and you feel for them because it's

:16:12. > :16:14.been tough but they came up against a much better team with so much

:16:15. > :16:18.momentum and confidence. We'd love to see the Scarlets play Saracens

:16:19. > :16:23.now, wouldn't we, but they're not far off it. A couple more signings

:16:24. > :16:26.over the summer. It's a shame they are losing Liam Williams but they're

:16:27. > :16:31.a quality team. And quality individuals. One of the guys who've

:16:32. > :16:37.shone all through the season is Steff Evans and he's with Phil. What

:16:38. > :16:41.a difference eight days make. What was the different today and how

:16:42. > :16:47.different do you feel to last week? I lasted all the game this week. A

:16:48. > :16:53.bit of bagging going on there. Gareth Davies that was? I showed up

:16:54. > :16:58.this week and we knew that we had to play for each other. It's been like

:16:59. > :17:02.that all season. We said before the game, 80 minutes away from the best

:17:03. > :17:06.feeling ever in our careers and do for each other what we have been

:17:07. > :17:09.doing for each other all year. You had so much support from what

:17:10. > :17:12.happened last week, the Scarlets fans, how much of a support was that

:17:13. > :17:17.for you in the first few days before the hearing? It was frustrating, the

:17:18. > :17:23.first two days before my hearing and I had all the support of the boys

:17:24. > :17:27.and the fans and the coaches. Especially Wayne, he told me to

:17:28. > :17:31.forget about it for the first two days and, when it came down to it,

:17:32. > :17:34.he was a great support. For me to play in the final, it's the best

:17:35. > :17:38.thing that's happened to me. When you turned up on the first match in

:17:39. > :17:41.September, did you ever think it would end up like this, not just for

:17:42. > :17:47.the team but for yourself, to get a Wales tour? We started off slowly

:17:48. > :17:50.but look where we are. We kept building and building and we have

:17:51. > :17:55.just had to play for each other all season and that's what it's come

:17:56. > :18:00.down to. You can't stop smiling yourself. It's the way the Scarlets

:18:01. > :18:04.have played isn't it with a smile? It's the same in training, we are

:18:05. > :18:09.happy to be there, we take to it the field and we are happy to play for

:18:10. > :18:14.each other and we give it 100%. A word for your mum and dad in Dubai?

:18:15. > :18:20.You should have been here! Go get the Welsh cap. Summer tour awaits

:18:21. > :18:23.for Steff Evans and his colleagues. Munster currently receiving their

:18:24. > :18:28.runners-up medals and it won't be too long now before the Scarlets

:18:29. > :18:34.take to the podium and get their hands on the trophy. We can rejoin

:18:35. > :18:39.Jonathan and Gareth. That is the loneliest walk up to get

:18:40. > :18:43.a losers' medal. It's so disappointing for Munster. They

:18:44. > :18:50.wanted to do it for themselves and for the memory, of course, of Axel

:18:51. > :18:57.Foley as well. But there has to be a loser and there has to be a winner.

:18:58. > :19:04.Sometimes you think you might have lost it narrowly. Is it's one of

:19:05. > :19:09.those things, they were comprehensively beaten, they were

:19:10. > :19:14.not in the game. They'll really enjoy this moment. No-one Gay them a

:19:15. > :19:20.chance. No-one thought they were going to win. Here they are, look,

:19:21. > :19:29.the front five go up and they deserve a hell of a lot of credit.

:19:30. > :19:37.Proud Welshman on stage to greet them in Gerald Davies. Tadhg Beirne.

:19:38. > :19:48.The Leinster man in-between them has enjoyed every moment of this.

:19:49. > :19:53.I think they've surprised themselves. Once they clicked and

:19:54. > :19:57.played the brand of rugby that we have seen, they had belief, didn't

:19:58. > :20:01.they? The two centres have been brilliant as well. After the Six

:20:02. > :20:08.Nations, there were questions, but they've been brilliant. They

:20:09. > :20:14.thoroughly deserve this prize. Well, seven wins in a row, one defeat in

:20:15. > :20:23.the last 13 games of the season have turned things around for what is a

:20:24. > :20:27.very, very special squad. They've done Llanelli proud and Wales proud

:20:28. > :20:33.and they've won many, many fans with a brand of rugby that they've

:20:34. > :20:42.played. But it's not just been pretty rugby, it's been successful

:20:43. > :20:47.rugby as well. At last, Wales have their hands on the Pro-12 rugby

:20:48. > :20:52.trophy again. It's been 13 years in waiting for the Scarlets themselves

:20:53. > :20:55.and Ken Owens before he goes off to join the Lions, he joins his

:20:56. > :21:05.team-mates. What a moment for the Scarlets. Worthy, worthy Guinness

:21:06. > :21:12.Pro-12 champions in 2017. They have been superb and they have been

:21:13. > :21:17.standard-bearers. Now, having set the standard, let's hope they can

:21:18. > :21:26.continue in that mould and let's hope others can achieve the same

:21:27. > :21:32.standard and make Welsh rugby a great force again at regional level.

:21:33. > :21:36.Let's hope the next step is not just a Pro-12 victory but Europe to come.

:21:37. > :21:41.For now, they'll savour the moment and they deserve all the

:21:42. > :21:46.celebrations and all the plaudits because the Scarlets have produced

:21:47. > :21:54.some outstanding rugby to win that trophy. Well done, Scarlets, winners

:21:55. > :22:02.in Dublin, second time over. They've beaten Munster 46-22 and Scarlets

:22:03. > :22:08.are Guinness Pro-12 champions of Wales 2017. The joy etched on their

:22:09. > :22:13.faces. You can see exactly how much it means to them, sheer

:22:14. > :22:18.unadulterated joy. Delight for the players, thoroughly deserved. It's

:22:19. > :22:24.the way they've played, it's the style of rugby we have witnessed

:22:25. > :22:28.throughout the season. They've not just come and made victories,

:22:29. > :22:32.they've put smiles on people's faces and that's the way to win a trophy.

:22:33. > :22:40.Absolutely. They should stick to this style of play. They deserve a

:22:41. > :22:45.lot of credit. The forward players have been good defensively. It's

:22:46. > :22:49.obviously shown how much they are enjoying playing. I think it's

:22:50. > :22:56.transferring down to the younger players. You reflect on the season

:22:57. > :22:59.and look down to the Six Nations and think Dan Jones, Boyde, Williams,

:23:00. > :23:03.you know, don't forget people like these who enhance your season. It

:23:04. > :23:11.was great to see the players share with the other squad members. Aled

:23:12. > :23:13.Thomas another one. Guys like Jonathan Davies, Grand Slam

:23:14. > :23:17.tournaments, yes, but when you win things with your club, it's a bit

:23:18. > :23:21.more special. They're the boys you deal with day in day out and it's so

:23:22. > :23:25.nice, it's a different sort of feeling when it's your club compared

:23:26. > :23:29.to internationally, but you can see how much it means to them, how tight

:23:30. > :23:34.they are as a group. I can guarantee you over the last three or four

:23:35. > :23:38.weeks, even when they have days off, they are looking forward to turning

:23:39. > :23:43.up to training, enjoying the banter and what have you. Brilliant for

:23:44. > :23:48.them. A brilliant way to finish the season. Rob Evans knows where the

:23:49. > :23:52.camera is. Do you think there's anyone more delighted than he is?

:23:53. > :23:59.He's been a big factor. To be fair to him, he's a modern prop. We

:24:00. > :24:04.admire the All Blacks but he's improving and he's a massive

:24:05. > :24:08.character in that group so it all goes well, and hopefully they can

:24:09. > :24:16.back it up next season. Back to Phil Steel, who's with you now?

:24:17. > :24:21.Much has been said about the non-playing Scarlet members who're

:24:22. > :24:31.here. Peter Edwards, sum it up? Fantastic win, boys. Champions! Ole,

:24:32. > :24:35.ole, ole. Enough said I think, a long night ahead for Peet and the

:24:36. > :24:40.boys. Might be an early night if his condition is anything to go by

:24:41. > :24:46.already. Have you been on the Guinness already? This afternoon,

:24:47. > :24:51.long lunch. The scorer of the first try of the day, he is leaving, but

:24:52. > :24:55.any regrets? I don't think so. It's special that he goes after this. You

:24:56. > :24:59.have got to give him credit for what he's done for the Scarlets and where

:25:00. > :25:03.he's come from. He's moving on to the European champions. He's going

:25:04. > :25:10.on a Lions tour, which is fantastic. There'll be a tinge of

:25:11. > :25:17.disappointment for him. It's very fitting and it was almost meant to

:25:18. > :25:22.be and they've done it in style. Fairytale for Liam Williams. He said

:25:23. > :25:29.when he signs for anyone else when his Saracens contract comes to an

:25:30. > :25:32.end, he might be back. John Barclay standing in admirably for Ken Owens

:25:33. > :25:38.the last two weeks and it's guys like John Barclay as well, I've been

:25:39. > :25:41.seeing some tweets, is he on Warren Gatland's stand-by list for the

:25:42. > :25:47.Lions because a few years ago he wasn't even in the Scotland team.

:25:48. > :25:54.He's recovered his -- rediscovered his mojo. McNicholl, we haven't

:25:55. > :25:58.mentioned him but he had such an influence. You can name every

:25:59. > :26:03.player, can't you, and I mentioned in commentary, the guys like Wyn

:26:04. > :26:07.Jones, Will Boyde, Ryan Elias, even Steff Evans to a large degree, the

:26:08. > :26:11.start of the season not many will have heard of him but they're now

:26:12. > :26:14.quality top, top players and knocking on the door of

:26:15. > :26:17.international level. You hope it's not the end of something and the

:26:18. > :26:21.start of something because there is so much potential within that squad.

:26:22. > :26:25.On that point, when Connacht won this title last year, there was

:26:26. > :26:30.almost a sort of element amongst those watching that they couldn't

:26:31. > :26:33.back it up. It was a one-off, a cup year and everything came together

:26:34. > :26:36.for them. You feel this is the foundation for the Scarlets, they

:26:37. > :26:39.can kick on from the confidence? Absolutely. You shouldn't fear the

:26:40. > :26:43.Irish sides, they are dominant yes, difficult to beat away from home,

:26:44. > :26:48.but it shows Connacht and now the Scarlets that you can do it. You

:26:49. > :26:54.back yourselves, the game plan has been very revolutionary almost.

:26:55. > :26:58.They've played, stuck to their game, shows what you can do if you believe

:26:59. > :27:01.in yourself and coaching staff and give youngsters a chance, as the

:27:02. > :27:06.Scarlets have done. A lot of credit goes for that. It's a message to all

:27:07. > :27:10.the Welsh regions. Look what can be achieved, take courage and

:27:11. > :27:17.convictions and try and do it. Don't forget you can watch this all again

:27:18. > :27:21.tomorrow night on the scrum-half Pro-12 Final Special, we'll relive

:27:22. > :27:28.all the thrills and spills, watched in front of a record crowd this of

:27:29. > :27:31.nearly 45,000, many of them Scarlets fans and many made a treacherous

:27:32. > :27:35.trip across the Irish Sea in the rain that we had today and a lot of

:27:36. > :27:39.them have been booking flights, planes, everything, it's been worth

:27:40. > :27:49.it. Absolutely worth it, you know, those who made the trip out last

:27:50. > :27:53.week. They were looking at flights straightaway after last week. They

:27:54. > :27:59.were absolutely outstanding the fans today. The players have given them

:28:00. > :28:06.something to cheer about. Not only for being winners but the way

:28:07. > :28:10.they've won. Jonathan Davies is looking dapper as ever in his

:28:11. > :28:14.three-piece suit. We have talked about the team spirit and the fact

:28:15. > :28:21.the squad can kick on to bigger and better things? They've got to build

:28:22. > :28:26.on this before manslaughter and for me, the -- performance and the way

:28:27. > :28:28.they're playing is sensational. Confident, space awareness,

:28:29. > :28:34.handlings of the forward, keeping a death. When the turnover happens.

:28:35. > :28:40.Everyone spots it quickly and reacts. I just felt that, you know,

:28:41. > :28:47.no-one expected them to win it, but to win it playing this way was

:28:48. > :28:50.absolutely sensational. It is absolutely sensational, that sums it

:28:51. > :28:54.up. Huge congratulations to the Scarlets from all of us here. It's

:28:55. > :28:58.been an epic day here in Dublin, a fantastic game of rugby and, as we
