:00:21. > :00:28.Good evening and welcome to Scrum V Live, from a sold-out area sparking

:00:29. > :00:33.Colwyn Bay. Your Wales versus England England weekend starts here.

:00:34. > :00:42.Tonight is all about the next generation. Less than 12 months ago,

:00:43. > :00:48.on this very ground, Wales made history. Winning their first ever

:00:49. > :00:54.Grand Slam at under 20s level. They began this campaign how they ended

:00:55. > :00:59.the last, with victory over Italy. Next, it's England. Their oldest and

:01:00. > :01:08.fiercest rivals. And the reigning world champions. And they arrive

:01:09. > :01:13.here in confident mood, following a nine try demolition of brands in

:01:14. > :01:16.Exeter. With last week's man of the match Max Malins being called up by

:01:17. > :01:20.his club, Saracens, meaning this young man starts at ten. If you

:01:21. > :01:27.don't recognise the face, you will recognise the name, Jacob Umaga, son

:01:28. > :01:30.of Mike. Jason strange has made two changes to his side as they look to

:01:31. > :01:35.build on their opening win against Italy. It's been quite a week for

:01:36. > :01:40.Ryan Kolbe, a try scorer last Friday, birthday boy on Sunday, and

:01:41. > :01:46.his gift from the Scarlets was a development contracts signed on

:01:47. > :01:50.Tuesday. Good evening and welcome to Scrum V Live from a rather chilly

:01:51. > :01:56.but I'm pleased to say raucous Park area. It's a sell-out crowd, 5500

:01:57. > :02:02.here, hopefully to Che Wales to victory over England. My guests join

:02:03. > :02:06.me. Initially bringing rugby here was something of an experiment. As

:02:07. > :02:11.we can see, it's one that has paid off handsomely. Absolutely, is

:02:12. > :02:14.fantastic for the under 20s and North Wales rugby, it's helped

:02:15. > :02:18.develop North Wales rugby over the last couple of years. It's been a

:02:19. > :02:21.very successful hunting ground for the under 20s. They've won the last

:02:22. > :02:25.six, a victory over England last time here as well. It's a happy

:02:26. > :02:33.place for them to beat, and they've developed their game here in North

:02:34. > :02:36.Wales. Hopefully that will continue this evening. It's becoming a focus

:02:37. > :02:39.for the players. The challenge for the coaches, under 20s, every year

:02:40. > :02:45.you have a whole new raft of players. Continuity is not something

:02:46. > :02:48.easily achieved. No, you are charged with the development of the future

:02:49. > :02:53.International. Jason strange has a young group here. Grand Slam

:02:54. > :02:56.champions last year. These boy will tell you any Wales versus England

:02:57. > :03:00.occasion, you want to win, and as a coach you want to win. A difficult

:03:01. > :03:07.one. They will want to win in front of this crowd. It's a very good

:03:08. > :03:12.team. We'll talk about England in a minute. 20 of new faces in this

:03:13. > :03:17.Welsh under 20s squad, including Ryan Cumbria. We've seen he's a year

:03:18. > :03:23.younger than some of his colleagues, but the Iraq -- he announced arrival

:03:24. > :03:27.last week. Last week we saw his finishing ability, we saw the

:03:28. > :03:32.capability with ball in hand going forward, but today, I'm sure he will

:03:33. > :03:37.work defensively against Joe. He's dubbed the full-back appeared

:03:38. > :03:42.beautifully, got in the corners, superb, hopefully we'll see more of

:03:43. > :03:45.that this evening. That was an acrobatic finish. Congratulations to

:03:46. > :03:50.him on the new contracts this week as well. After that opening win in

:03:51. > :03:59.Milan, the Wales squad were back in the more familiar surroundings this

:04:00. > :04:04.week of their Vale of Glamorgan HQ. Wales star off with a great victory

:04:05. > :04:08.and will be looking forward to the rest of these games in these under

:04:09. > :04:13.20s Six Nations Championship. Really pleased not just with the results

:04:14. > :04:19.from a young group, who have put a lot of people having a first caps,

:04:20. > :04:23.but also the performance, calm, assured, we came away with a

:04:24. > :04:31.convincing win. It's a good start. One of the games, it was lucky

:04:32. > :04:35.enough the ball bounced and I gracefully took it. And I had the

:04:36. > :04:41.pace to finish it off. I was really happy with the try. It's a new

:04:42. > :04:46.squad, up to 20s level, but we are expecting a lot from individual

:04:47. > :04:52.players and some of those showed on Friday and I'm sure we'll see more

:04:53. > :04:56.of them as the campaign progresses. We have a big challenge ahead of us.

:04:57. > :05:01.It's a great atmosphere, a good crowd, big fans. It was team

:05:02. > :05:07.development, as we hope to develop individually and as a team through

:05:08. > :05:13.the campaign. That's the main aim. A victory would be a real achievement

:05:14. > :05:17.for us. Are you looking forward to going back. I don't think there will

:05:18. > :05:22.be any magic wand apart from a lot of hard work and the performance. If

:05:23. > :05:26.we do that, hopefully we will get a good result on Friday and beat

:05:27. > :05:30.England. One thing that is often the case

:05:31. > :05:33.when Wales plays England, some of these Welsh players are smaller in

:05:34. > :05:38.stature than that in which opponents tonight. How will they need to

:05:39. > :05:41.approach this if Wales are to prevail? Wales need to play to their

:05:42. > :05:45.strengths. Their strengths are in their back three and the movement

:05:46. > :05:50.they have on the back line. The tack up -- is tackling structure, the pan

:05:51. > :05:54.they'd use, the tendency to use the big forwards and use them as decoy

:05:55. > :06:00.runners. They created a lot of opportunities but the execution

:06:01. > :06:03.wasn't there. If they are to beat this England team, they must pick

:06:04. > :06:06.the right decision at the right time. We've seen the short run is

:06:07. > :06:10.going but the spaces out the back that the Italian forwards are biting

:06:11. > :06:14.in on and if they can create those opportunities they have to be able

:06:15. > :06:19.to finish as they did, the fantastic try and finish here. Wales to put

:06:20. > :06:24.wits on the ball this evening, England, as English teams like to

:06:25. > :06:27.do, will probably truck it up a bit and with Zac burst -- with Zach

:06:28. > :06:36.Mercer they have the ultimate ball-carrier. He's the ultimate

:06:37. > :06:39.pedigree, at Bath, he's all action. He's good in attacking, his ball

:06:40. > :06:44.carrying, good tackler, good over the ball, he can play six, seven or

:06:45. > :06:50.eight. These are regular in the Bath first team. He's probably playing up

:06:51. > :06:53.a level, expect him to have a big involvement. He looks terrifying

:06:54. > :06:59.with ball in hand. Someone Wales will have to contain tonight. It's a

:07:00. > :07:03.sell-out. 5500 fans. There no spare ticket for Phil Steele. He's lurking

:07:04. > :07:07.in the tunnel. Thanks very much, I should have a

:07:08. > :07:13.string of garlic around my neck because this is the England changing

:07:14. > :07:18.room. They will make the long winding way down through the guard

:07:19. > :07:22.of honour in front of the 5500. I've been talking to Dean Ryan, involves

:07:23. > :07:26.with the development of England rugby. He says we can expect this

:07:27. > :07:31.England team to move it. Look out for the back three, he says. Any

:07:32. > :07:34.loose ball kicked by Wales will be utilised by the back three. Let's

:07:35. > :07:37.look for the England back division and particularly the back three.

:07:38. > :07:42.There is a bit of England support here. Probably coming from the North

:07:43. > :07:46.of England, all part of the atmosphere. Back to you.

:07:47. > :07:51.Thank you, the teams are on their way out, as you have been

:07:52. > :07:55.describing. We have time for a quick prediction. You mentioned Wales'

:07:56. > :08:00.record on the home ground. Can they continue with a victory? England

:08:01. > :08:03.will be buoyant after last week, but Wales have made this a bit of a

:08:04. > :08:07.fortress and we surprised England last year. I'd like to think we can

:08:08. > :08:10.do the same and hopefully a good omen for tomorrow's big

:08:11. > :08:15.international in Cardiff. What a start that would be for the weekend.

:08:16. > :08:19.Wales have won their last eight under 20s games in a row in the Six

:08:20. > :08:22.Nations. England's unbeaten in their last six in all competitions,

:08:23. > :08:30.including that World Cup final victory. These two teams are used to

:08:31. > :08:34.winning. Who will prevail tonight? Richie Rees, Sean Holley, joining

:08:35. > :08:37.Gareth Charles for the commentary. COMMENTATOR:

:08:38. > :08:44.Thanks very much. It's a long walk down from the changing rooms. But

:08:45. > :08:51.it's one that has been successfully made by captains wearing red over

:08:52. > :09:00.the last season in particular. It's always incredibly well supported

:09:01. > :09:04.here. Will Jones has the honour of making his way through the

:09:05. > :09:15.youngsters, who have their moment as well. There really is a family local

:09:16. > :09:19.atmosphere about proceedings at area spark when the under 20s are in

:09:20. > :09:29.town. The choir has been singing beforehand. The crowd being whipped

:09:30. > :09:36.up into a frenzy. As usual, a full house, ready to cheer on the current

:09:37. > :09:43.Six Nations champions, against the current world champions. After

:09:44. > :09:53.convincing wins for both of them last week, at huge game this

:09:54. > :10:00.evening. And, of course, before the anthems this evening, there is a sad

:10:01. > :10:05.moment, just to remember, as they will be before every game this

:10:06. > :10:09.current weekend, the loss this week of one of the best scrum-halves ever

:10:10. > :10:18.to play this great game of ours, aged just 45, with motor neurone

:10:19. > :10:25.disease disease. There will be a minute's silence for the great

:10:26. > :11:22.Springbok, a brave player on the field and brave in life as well.

:11:23. > :11:39.Ladies and gentlemen, please join us for the singing of the national

:11:40. > :11:52.anthems. # Mae hen wlad fy nhadau

:11:53. > :13:01.yn annwyl i mi # Gwlad beirdd a chantorion,

:13:02. > :13:12.enwogion o fri # Ei gwrol ryfelwyr,

:13:13. > :14:24.gwladgarwyr tra mad CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:14:25. > :14:29.Passionate singing of the anthem from both on and off the field, just

:14:30. > :14:33.two changes in the Welsh line-up from the victory in Italy. Both

:14:34. > :14:41.second row is making that under 20 debut. The Osprey flanker Will Jones

:14:42. > :14:50.is the captain. Keirin Williams rounded off the victory.

:14:51. > :14:59.Just one new face in English pack, Justin Clegg, number eight, Zach

:15:00. > :15:03.Mercer, and the captain Ben Earl a try scorer against France last week.

:15:04. > :15:09.The famous rugby name at outside-half, Jacob Umaga, the other

:15:10. > :15:10.change behind is on the wing, the rest of the three quarters all

:15:11. > :15:27.scored last week. James Grayson, son of Paul Grayson,

:15:28. > :15:33.another famous name on the English bench. Frank Murphy of Ireland, the

:15:34. > :15:42.man in charge this evening. As Wales look to continue in winning ways

:15:43. > :15:49.here. This a stern test for them against an equally young English

:15:50. > :15:55.team. A team that scored nine tries and 50 points at Sandy Park Exeter,

:15:56. > :16:04.against France last week. Good evening, alongside me, ... Good

:16:05. > :16:08.evening, a fresh evening in North Wales but nevertheless a great night

:16:09. > :16:15.for rugby. Lots of young talent on show. Two different teams, really.

:16:16. > :16:23.Off the back of a fabulous win last week, England, supremely confident.

:16:24. > :16:32.Ciaran Williams, the first burst through.

:16:33. > :16:40.Straight through those Calum Bradbury. Really eating up the

:16:41. > :16:45.ground. That's a great tackle by Tom Parton, and it needed to be, from

:16:46. > :16:52.the English full-back. A little slip picked up by Ben Jones, out it goes

:16:53. > :16:58.to Conbeer. Bradbury, on his debut, that was an excellent burst onto the

:16:59. > :17:02.first penalty follows. The co-forwards, congratulations to the

:17:03. > :17:07.Blues lock. Something I reckon the coaches might have picked out in the

:17:08. > :17:11.training week. A real flat English line-out defence. Nobody behind in a

:17:12. > :17:15.pick and go by second row column Bradbury. See how England spread the

:17:16. > :17:20.field, nine is way, way deep in the back field, not behind the rock.

:17:21. > :17:24.Well exploited. Exactly that, we've touched pre-game that Wales want to

:17:25. > :17:31.try to play out the back and they did try to play the back. The

:17:32. > :17:34.accuracy probably was off but they have the penalty and the chants of

:17:35. > :17:43.the three points in the first points of the game. Five from six

:17:44. > :17:51.successful kicks for Ben Jones last week, for his 12 points.

:17:52. > :18:02.That's an excellent start for the Welsh team as they go ahead by 3-0.

:18:03. > :18:05.Lovely strike by the young outside-half. That will settle the

:18:06. > :18:10.nerves, give them a little bit of confidence. A lot of been spoken

:18:11. > :18:12.about some of these big players the England have but a fine start by the

:18:13. > :18:27.Welshman. Jacob Umaga with the restart. Max

:18:28. > :18:30.Malins scored 24 points for the English team last week, of the 59.

:18:31. > :18:43.Replaced by Umaga this week. You notice the English players

:18:44. > :18:46.really waiting for that kicking, four players back. Watch out for

:18:47. > :18:54.this fellow, number eight Zach Mercer.

:18:55. > :19:08.Harry Randall, looking to spread it wide, right, brought down by

:19:09. > :19:16.Nicholas. Randall, pushing the Welsh team back. He has bounced up, away

:19:17. > :19:24.from Ben Jones, leaves plenty of time to get clearance kick in. He

:19:25. > :19:29.was caught in two minds. He's reluctant to get into the ball. It's

:19:30. > :19:32.pretty good underfoot from the start of the game. The bounce of the ball

:19:33. > :19:52.certainly suggests that. But comes the English defence

:19:53. > :19:58.quickly, Ben Jones trying to get behind them but it's a shade too

:19:59. > :20:02.strong. A couple of speculative kicks from both teams there. You

:20:03. > :20:10.have to say that the Wales defence, strong and resolute here, well read

:20:11. > :20:13.by the winger whom you know very well. Something we can expect from

:20:14. > :20:20.the Welsh half-backs today is a lot of big kicking game. We can expect

:20:21. > :20:23.them to put a little bit of pressure on the wings for England, because

:20:24. > :20:27.they are not very comfortable under the high balls. Hopefully we will

:20:28. > :20:36.see that this evening. Easy for you to say those two names! There is one

:20:37. > :20:40.of them. A mistake into the high ball, putting England under pressure

:20:41. > :20:45.on their own try line. He can run, if you get the chance. Great tactics

:20:46. > :20:50.from Wales as Richie Rees calls. There's a little bit of wind,

:20:51. > :20:55.exactly where they want England now. They don't want a fourth penalty

:20:56. > :21:00.now, Wales, no silly penalties, and they can get a line-out -- they

:21:01. > :21:05.don't want to force a penalty. A scrum-half educated in a

:21:06. > :21:08.comprehensive in Wales. He should have been playing for Wales. He

:21:09. > :21:14.looks comfortable under it, then at the last minute the technique wasn't

:21:15. > :21:17.quite there. As you rightly say, he can run this and Wales can put him

:21:18. > :21:22.under pressure if they get turnovers. Born in Fiji Kim came to

:21:23. > :21:30.England when he was three. Spent spells in Brunei and Germany. His

:21:31. > :21:32.dad was in the Army. Good play to get well over the gain line from

:21:33. > :21:38.there. Conbeer, plenty of white shirts

:21:39. > :21:56.around him. We saw the two props with plenty of

:21:57. > :22:00.ball in hand last week in Milan. Started in the same vein this

:22:01. > :22:03.evening. They looked very well-organised, the English defence.

:22:04. > :22:08.In good shape. They are all on their feet, not really competing in the

:22:09. > :22:14.tackle area. Wales certainly keeping plenty of ball early on. Up comes

:22:15. > :22:15.Will Talbot Davis from full-back. They are making little headway at

:22:16. > :22:29.the moment. Once again, the bust. Nicholas going

:22:30. > :22:33.for the outside, the slips through the tackle. You will notice England

:22:34. > :22:35.are not competing for any ball were just happy to have a big white line

:22:36. > :22:51.absorbing all of these phases. This is good from Wales, very

:22:52. > :22:55.patient play. They are trying to force England to give away a

:22:56. > :23:01.penalty. Go through the phases, build a bit of structure and come

:23:02. > :23:06.away with a few errors as possible. Great work on the floor. Mercer

:23:07. > :23:15.presenting it back beautifully and on the run ghost Tom Curry. Randall

:23:16. > :23:21.to Mercer again. A little 1-2 between the scrum-half. Butler with

:23:22. > :23:28.a grubber kick through. Albert Davis bounces off him so. We saw last week

:23:29. > :23:37.that Talbot Davis is very willing to join in any counter possible. Well,

:23:38. > :23:42.again, nobody claiming the loose ball until Mercer does so. They are

:23:43. > :23:52.finding a lot of space, a lot of grass, Wales with their kicking

:23:53. > :23:53.game. Umaga, juggled by Isiekwe. You get the feeling of Wales can keep

:23:54. > :24:11.their discipline. There you go. He's robbed. Just spilled forward.

:24:12. > :24:15.As we expected, both teams looking to attack. Wales are going to have

:24:16. > :24:18.to keep their wits about them and keep their patients, because this

:24:19. > :24:25.defence looks very organised indeed. Very organised, he got off his man,

:24:26. > :24:29.focused on the rug. That's all some of these players need is that space.

:24:30. > :24:33.But tactically, very astute, both teams at the moment. England in

:24:34. > :24:36.defence chose the want to steal by Zach Mercer and Wales in attack, go

:24:37. > :24:41.through the phases. When it's not needed, a nice kick coming in from

:24:42. > :24:44.the nine. They are setting the structure really well. They are

:24:45. > :24:49.going through a few phases. It's just the winner of this game is

:24:50. > :24:53.those who create the least amount of error in their game. Wales have

:24:54. > :24:57.already created an opportunity, it's just turning the ball over at the

:24:58. > :25:05.opportunities. Sean Moore, the Pontypridd lock, who got... Early

:25:06. > :25:12.on. Nice to see there are three scrum-halves on the field at the

:25:13. > :25:15.moment. Yes, Murphy, ex Connacht and Leicester scrum-half, he's lost a

:25:16. > :25:20.bit of weight actually since his playing days. Not a bad player to be

:25:21. > :25:22.fair. Looking better than it is playing days. Looking sharp, he's

:25:23. > :25:50.done his hair as well. Unbelievable. Tom Parton, forced back into the 22.

:25:51. > :25:54.They are having a lot of success with the kicking game, aren't they?

:25:55. > :26:02.A lovely kick, Ben Jones collects and scores. That's a great try from

:26:03. > :26:05.Wales. Superbly taken. Again, it's down to the kicking game, this time

:26:06. > :26:10.a poor return from England but great, great awareness, and Ben

:26:11. > :26:15.Jones with a super finish. Well, we talked about the tactical kicking

:26:16. > :26:19.game. Rays have -- Wales have tried it down this left-hand corner as we

:26:20. > :26:24.looked a few times. They put Barton under pressure, it paid off, and the

:26:25. > :26:27.vision here, you can see the space. The full-back followed his own

:26:28. > :26:31.kicker and a very clever kick into space. That's what you get if you

:26:32. > :26:37.follow up. The Welsh boys, they are ecstatic. A brilliant kick from the

:26:38. > :26:41.Welsh but Ben Jones spotted the space and he told him to put the

:26:42. > :26:49.tick there. A lovely finish in the corner by Ben Jones. A good start so

:26:50. > :26:55.far from Wales. A dive like Conbeer, more room than in Italy last week.

:26:56. > :26:59.That was a great finish. At the risk of repeating myself, you know how I

:27:00. > :27:01.feel about conversions. They might only be worth two. Trust me, for

:27:02. > :27:27.coaches, they are massive. Oh, well, that was a brilliant,

:27:28. > :27:31.brilliant... So he has all Wales' points so far. We see it again,

:27:32. > :27:36.great vision. The execution is great. Lots of success behind this

:27:37. > :27:45.right wing in the first 11 minutes of the game from Wales.

:27:46. > :27:57.Very confident start from the Welsh boys.

:27:58. > :28:06.Well, that's a shock to the system. Zebre leading by 20 -- leading by

:28:07. > :28:11.10-0 against the Ospreys. I thought the Ospreys would win at a canter.

:28:12. > :28:16.But it's early yet, of course. Check the graphics, are they the right way

:28:17. > :28:22.round? I did! Couldn't believe my eyes. It's good game from Wales,

:28:23. > :28:25.winning this kicking battle in the opening 12 minutes of the game and

:28:26. > :28:29.England are failing to take any decent ball and get a new return

:28:30. > :28:33.back within their kicking game. So again, a poor kick. It landed short.

:28:34. > :28:36.Wales have taken it and England have given a penalty weight at the

:28:37. > :28:44.breakdown and allowed Wales the chance of another three points. Vera

:28:45. > :28:47.-- they are reacting quicker. You have to credit the players. This is

:28:48. > :28:50.clearly a strategy they have gone in with, the players are executing the

:28:51. > :28:55.strategy. Here the player who has confidence at the moment. They are

:28:56. > :28:59.having real success at the moment, they need to keep going at least for

:29:00. > :29:02.the next ten or 12 minutes, nearly 13 minutes into the game and a of

:29:03. > :29:12.success where all their points are coming from. It's when I used to

:29:13. > :29:24.coach you and you used to execute the game plan. Executes...

:29:25. > :29:32.Are better looking strike, but it didn't have legs. The other one

:29:33. > :29:43.judged the wind and conditions perfectly, so it remains at 10-0,

:29:44. > :29:52.four Wales. Wales could try to go left off this.

:29:53. > :29:59.Talbot Davis, a big lump, isn't it? He's also tactically very good. He's

:30:00. > :30:07.in the right place at the right time. Ciaran Williams. Is a bit of

:30:08. > :30:12.naivete. You get hit with the younger players. Even though they've

:30:13. > :30:16.entered the 22 and it looked like a good ball carrier, it's a turnover

:30:17. > :30:17.possession, getting the ball back to England, could have built some more

:30:18. > :30:40.pressure on the defence there. He looks like the go to guy. Yes,

:30:41. > :30:51.you get the feeling if he carries on like this, he will grab it by the

:30:52. > :31:03.scruff. There is another carry from the back number eight. Harry

:31:04. > :31:14.Randall. The pass put pressure on Talbot-Davies. The forwards are good

:31:15. > :31:17.enough though to protect it. Dane Blacker has his winger on the floor

:31:18. > :31:25.so someone else will have to chase this. And guess who is back there

:31:26. > :31:36.again. He is one who is taking charge, as far as England goes,

:31:37. > :31:43.defensively certainly. It is picked up by Cokanasiga. It is ripped

:31:44. > :31:46.clear. A good carry by Kieran Williams. Get it back on the front

:31:47. > :31:57.foot. Wales happy to go to this kicking game. They are putting them

:31:58. > :32:01.under pressure. The two wingers combining defensively for England.

:32:02. > :32:07.Will Jones goes for the steel. England get it back down the ground.

:32:08. > :32:10.Good pressure on Harry Randall. And the ball comes clear. Sienawski

:32:11. > :32:22.picks up and Wales are back on the front foot. Ellis Shipp.

:32:23. > :32:30.England lying on, penalty conceded. It should be a comfortable three

:32:31. > :32:33.points. And where does it come from? Again, the kicking game down to this

:32:34. > :32:42.corner. The right winger was out of position. Ibitoye got caught. And

:32:43. > :32:49.Wales are awarded with another shot at goal. You cannot afford from the

:32:50. > :32:53.following breakdowns or set piece to give cheap, nasty penalties away

:32:54. > :32:58.about is exactly what Wales are doing at the moment. They are

:32:59. > :33:05.allowing England to the ball. He strips him in contact and Wales are

:33:06. > :33:09.all over the ball. They are playing this game plan to an absolute peach

:33:10. > :33:10.at the moment. They are holding onto the ball and getting the penalties

:33:11. > :33:35.and hopefully getting the points. Successful kick from Ben Jones.

:33:36. > :33:39.Wales extend their lead 13-0. A confident start from the Welsh

:33:40. > :33:42.youngsters. He does not look like missing at the moment. He did miss

:33:43. > :33:45.one but it was from a long way out. It is deserved reward for an

:33:46. > :34:08.excellent tactical kicking game from his home team.

:34:09. > :34:13.They don't look happy. They know they are under pressure. It has

:34:14. > :34:19.probably come as a little bit of a surprise to them. They have not been

:34:20. > :34:23.tested like this before and if Wales can just consolidate this set piece

:34:24. > :34:29.which has been good so far, don't allow England into the game. This is

:34:30. > :34:38.key for Wales. They have to hold their own on England ball in this

:34:39. > :34:41.set piece. As long as they can hold their settees, stay strong and then

:34:42. > :34:49.just go for a little bit of territory. Pressure but Zach Mercer

:34:50. > :34:55.looks dangerous. Good play to Harry Randall. Excellent play by the

:34:56. > :35:01.number eight. He is there again. A steel by Sienawski but offside.

:35:02. > :35:06.Frank Murphy saying the red had formed already on top of Sienawski

:35:07. > :35:10.as he has made the tackle. It is unfortunate for Wales but it is a

:35:11. > :35:15.decision Sienawski has to make a bad breakdown, whether he looks to go

:35:16. > :35:18.for the ball, maybe he should have backed out of that. Wales have been

:35:19. > :35:25.on the front foot for the majority of this 20 minute so far. Zach

:35:26. > :35:29.Mercer linking with his scrum-half. What the tackler doesn't do is he

:35:30. > :35:32.doesn't realise that the ruck has been formed. The referee will be

:35:33. > :35:42.telling him he has been beaten by the rock. A well used term for

:35:43. > :35:50.flankers. He was warming up in his vest. And last week in the rain in

:35:51. > :35:55.Italy. Fair play to him. No time wasted by Jacob Umaga and England

:35:56. > :36:04.with their first points of the evening. It was a good run from

:36:05. > :36:08.Harry Randall off the scrum. That put England on the board. Wales need

:36:09. > :36:14.to find some position from this restart. Wales do not need to force

:36:15. > :36:18.it at the moment. It is the first time England have been Amat

:36:19. > :36:27.attacking zone. One penalty and they have conceded the three points.

:36:28. > :36:32.Ibitoye is safely underneath it. Harry Randall bides his time. Good

:36:33. > :36:39.hand time on that kick. Kisses chases every opportunity.

:36:40. > :36:51.Talbot-Davies not quite gathering safely. It is England ball.

:36:52. > :36:59.This looks like a forced skill pass. The ten is not quite attached to his

:37:00. > :37:02.forwards. They have looked a little bit disjointed. Wales have got to

:37:03. > :37:07.take advantage of this. As long as this continues interestingly enough,

:37:08. > :37:10.that went straight to a bid to you, it is obviously something they have

:37:11. > :37:15.singled out and they will continue going there until it stops working.

:37:16. > :37:18.The scrum has been good to start. Chris Horseman seems to be doing a

:37:19. > :37:26.good job. Great attacking position. The ten metre line, midfield. You

:37:27. > :37:32.would fancy and eight, nine. Prime attacking opportunity. When he

:37:33. > :37:39.dropped back into the pocket or will he defend the right hand side of the

:37:40. > :37:50.scrum? Ben Jones is sat behind that he can decide which side to go. A

:37:51. > :37:55.loose pass by Dane Blacker land unfortunately for Wales, they cannot

:37:56. > :38:00.develop from that position. The forwards coach is with Phil. How

:38:01. > :38:04.pleasing are these tactics? They seem to be working well? The

:38:05. > :38:09.half-backs are controlling the game well but the kick is only as good as

:38:10. > :38:13.the chase. The back three IRA threat but we have got to manage them into

:38:14. > :38:20.those corners. The boys are doing it well so far. More of this until

:38:21. > :38:23.half-time. Yes, the wind is a factor but at the moment, the half-backs

:38:24. > :38:31.are executing the game plan and it is going well. That is a half decent

:38:32. > :38:35.driving maul from England. English teams get a Smith of this and you

:38:36. > :38:43.have got wingers in there as well. We were told to expect a lot of open

:38:44. > :38:47.play from England but they may change their tactics having seen

:38:48. > :38:57.that. With the school, they probably got a message on from the touchline.

:38:58. > :39:02.-- score. Back for the original penalty. I think it was Will Jones

:39:03. > :39:07.going in the side of our driving layup. They have conceded 20 metres

:39:08. > :39:11.already from driving line-out and then Jones gives the penalty away.

:39:12. > :39:17.If you are going to give the penalty away, give it away at source, 20

:39:18. > :39:22.metres further upfield. Wales have to batten down the hatches and shut

:39:23. > :39:26.England out. Yes, it is a silly penalty. It is a cynical penalty as

:39:27. > :39:31.well. We has to be very careful in front of the referee. He should know

:39:32. > :39:40.better than that. With that great driving maul, Umaga decides to go

:39:41. > :39:45.for the corner. Yes, the English coaches, particularly forwards

:39:46. > :39:51.coach, will be well pleased that last line up. But not with that one.

:39:52. > :39:56.It is back to Zach Mercer somehow. Out of the back door but not taken

:39:57. > :40:01.by Butler. It is not done in the process. I thought Wales had stolen

:40:02. > :40:09.the line-out but somehow Zach Mercer got his hands on it and again got

:40:10. > :40:13.England on the front foot. It was a poor throw in all honesty but there

:40:14. > :40:18.he is again. He is the action man. I am not so sure you need that. Have a

:40:19. > :40:30.word with him at half-time about that one. Take it another phase and

:40:31. > :40:33.Wales are in trouble. 19 years old. He is one eighth Maori. Yes, his

:40:34. > :40:51.father played rugby league for New Zealand. Also coached Glasgow.

:40:52. > :41:01.Dane Blacker is saying, I had him anyway, it is all right. He is quite

:41:02. > :41:08.relieved the whistle went. My man. So many options available here. It

:41:09. > :41:12.is a really great place to attack from. Big blindside as we look on

:41:13. > :41:16.your screens to the left. Zach Mercer has the ability to pass off

:41:17. > :41:23.the base himself. Look at the formation behind the scrum. That

:41:24. > :41:28.creates a block play with the first back on the left or right side.

:41:29. > :41:30.Difficult to discern. Excellent position for England. Down go the

:41:31. > :41:49.front rows. Interesting setup will struggle

:41:50. > :42:02.defensively. They have also matched them with two in behind.

:42:03. > :42:21.Zach Mercer. Harry Randall. Straightout to Will Butler. Back to

:42:22. > :42:31.Zach Mercer once again. The centre, all England's attacks... Randall

:42:32. > :42:39.fires it out. Umaga almost put Ollie Dawe in the gap. Anybody other than

:42:40. > :42:40.a loosehead there, you fancy they would get through. Wales are holding

:42:41. > :42:54.firm. Randall. Sets up another English

:42:55. > :42:57.attack. But are under pressure. Did well to gather at the second time.

:42:58. > :43:13.-- Butler. Joseph Morris, the English tight

:43:14. > :43:15.head. Umaga. This time, under no pressure, England cough it up and it

:43:16. > :43:19.is just as well for Wales because that was looking dangerous. They are

:43:20. > :43:24.gradually getting themselves into the game and it is that man, Zach

:43:25. > :43:28.Mercer, the amount of calories he has had already. They are creeping

:43:29. > :43:35.back into the game. Just took his eye off the ball. Two guys on the

:43:36. > :43:39.outside. He spotted Jared Rosser in his eye line. As he has done that,

:43:40. > :43:47.he has taken his eyes off the ball and fortunately for Wales, just

:43:48. > :43:52.conceded the knock-on. A few phases of great defence from Wales. We talk

:43:53. > :43:57.about that scrum position and Wales defended it very well. It was poorly

:43:58. > :44:06.executed by England. Yes, we touched on it pre-game on the side of the

:44:07. > :44:09.field. Umaga has come in and he hasn't looked particularly

:44:10. > :44:18.comfortable. Last year, he was playing a lot at 12. It is a lot

:44:19. > :44:21.different playing at ten. You have got to look to get your hands on the

:44:22. > :44:27.ball a little bit more often than he has and challenge that gain line. A

:44:28. > :44:33.couple of the Welsh boys struggling at the moment. Callum Bradbury took

:44:34. > :44:38.a bump to the shoulder. And Assiratti had a dead leg, a bit

:44:39. > :44:48.similar to George North last week, by the look of it. Does that mean he

:44:49. > :44:54.will go on to score a 60 metre try? Well, some of these props can run. A

:44:55. > :45:05.big test for him now into this very crucial scrum.

:45:06. > :45:14.Wales holding the scrum very well indeed. Very well indeed, as England

:45:15. > :45:25.try to get the shove on. And that means a lot to that pack. Frank

:45:26. > :45:29.Murphy does not like the celebrations. Just watch this now,

:45:30. > :45:35.they are square. At this moment, you can see them... The tight head and

:45:36. > :45:43.the hooker come away and that is enough. Ollie Dawe not happy. He

:45:44. > :45:48.felt that Wales walked across. They were not scrummaging squarer and

:45:49. > :45:52.straight. The referee out of shot was talking to the Welsh players

:45:53. > :45:55.about celebrating winning a penalty and I totally concur with him. We do

:45:56. > :46:00.not want to see any of that style of behaviour at any level. You do see

:46:01. > :46:10.it with some of the Premiership teams, Saracens introduced it. I

:46:11. > :46:15.tell you what, we saw it ad nauseam with Itoji last week. It is a

:46:16. > :46:19.culture thing. The boys need to accept that there is a level that is

:46:20. > :46:25.acceptable and they do not want to overstep that Mark and concentrate

:46:26. > :46:33.on the rugby. Sienawski won the line-out but he lost it when he came

:46:34. > :46:37.down. It is stolen. Wales need some time with ball in hand because after

:46:38. > :46:43.the early start, it is all England at the moment. They are keeping

:46:44. > :46:47.their shape. There is a bit of fruit on the outside. They are working

:46:48. > :46:58.hard at the moment. Ioan Nicholas calling for more cover on the

:46:59. > :47:05.outside. They will have to be wary of the way the ball bounces. A very

:47:06. > :47:09.high static vertical bars. A very good kick. You can see Talbot-Davies

:47:10. > :47:15.coming across. Tactically he is very good and the covers the ground and

:47:16. > :47:20.he reads the body positions of the opposing nine and ten to see where

:47:21. > :47:24.they will kick. Unfortunately for Wales, the ball bounced straight

:47:25. > :47:31.into touch. Bradbury. Good line-out work. The second rows have done

:47:32. > :47:35.well. They have come in and they are doing well. Having a good game in

:47:36. > :47:38.the set piece and in the ball carry. Here we go again. Taken safely this

:47:39. > :47:59.time by Cokanasiga. The English skipper. Baseload that

:48:00. > :48:03.ball down very well, Wales. Umaga finds a bit of space but cannot

:48:04. > :48:12.gather. Ashley Beck has scored for the Ospreys and they are back within

:48:13. > :48:18.three. And it is half-time. Never easy to go to Italy, no matter what

:48:19. > :48:28.time of year. Fancies a run, does big Joe and beating men easily. Gets

:48:29. > :48:33.the offload. One of the Welsh boys still down after his attempt at a

:48:34. > :48:36.tackle. Umaga. Lovely pass out of the back door and that is Butler in

:48:37. > :48:45.a bit of space. Looking for the inside ball to his partner, Max

:48:46. > :48:52.Wright. Umaga again to Morris. England picking up the pace now.

:48:53. > :48:57.Good hands again by Butler. Clearing away from the tackle. Getting the

:48:58. > :49:02.ball away. Zach Mercer with the straight drive on once again.

:49:03. > :49:09.Sienawski with the tackle. Penalty given away by Wales. Quickly taken

:49:10. > :49:14.by Randall and they don't need advantage because Harry Randall the

:49:15. > :49:18.former Wales under 16 captain has got England's first try. That

:49:19. > :49:22.passage of play tells you all about England and some of the messages the

:49:23. > :49:27.coaches down in front of us are getting on. They started playing

:49:28. > :49:31.short side, they have broken Wales down on the outside and as we said

:49:32. > :49:36.earlier, Will Jones needs to be very careful with some of the silly

:49:37. > :49:40.penalties he is giving away. Harry Randall, a young man who played for

:49:41. > :49:47.Wales at under 16 level, he sneaks over. Yes, it was the first time

:49:48. > :49:52.they have put a poor kick in, and it all started with Ben Jones looking

:49:53. > :49:59.for that long left footed kick and it landed straight into the hands of

:50:00. > :50:02.the Englishman. Another silly penalty from Will Jones, coming in

:50:03. > :50:09.the side and as all number nine is he already has his hands on the ball

:50:10. > :50:15.when the referee calls penalty and the defence cannot touch him. He has

:50:16. > :50:20.dived over for an easy five points. Quickly taken by Randall and get the

:50:21. > :50:24.rewards. Jacob Umaga adds the extras and England are right back in it.

:50:25. > :50:29.Game on. Eight minutes before half-time, it is a real close one

:50:30. > :50:32.now. Zach Mercer started the game very well. The other players have

:50:33. > :50:34.got back into it now and they are pulling the strings at nine, Harry

:50:35. > :50:59.Randall. Good carry. Umaga, and England are

:51:00. > :51:04.full of running now. Lovely ball to Zach Mercer once again. Shows and

:51:05. > :51:09.then gets the as to Cokanasiga. Bounces off tacklers. England have

:51:10. > :51:16.picked up the pace and they have plenty of men going left. He gets

:51:17. > :51:20.the past two Mullins and he get it away to Umaga and the tries comes to

:51:21. > :51:27.Max Wright and that is a brilliant, brilliant score by England. Yes,

:51:28. > :51:31.quite superb from England. Virtually length of the field. Great

:51:32. > :51:36.discipline. Off-loading, in control of the ball through contact. Some

:51:37. > :51:41.weak tackling by Wales, you have to say. The centres are really getting

:51:42. > :51:47.into the game. And this man, Zach Mercer, he has been a cut above the

:51:48. > :51:54.rest. Cokanasiga gets his hands on the ball and he is shrugging the

:51:55. > :51:57.tacklers off. I thought for a moment, Isiekwe may have taken the

:51:58. > :52:04.wrong option. But there are plenty of players there and in the end it

:52:05. > :52:06.was easy for Max Wright. It is very noticeable the off-loading through

:52:07. > :52:10.contact, in control of themselves, excellent play from England and that

:52:11. > :52:22.is more like what we saw against France last week. Two more points

:52:23. > :52:26.for Umaga. And suddenly, very suddenly, England have gone into the

:52:27. > :52:30.lead. All of a sudden, Umaga is getting into the game. Some good

:52:31. > :52:36.distribution. Following up, looking for another touch. He ships it onto

:52:37. > :52:47.Max Wright and that is a superb team score. Excellent rugby, pace and

:52:48. > :52:53.precision and power. And Max Wright is getting more and more in the

:52:54. > :52:56.game. Yeah, a couple of clean line breaks last week against France and

:52:57. > :53:00.he is a big unit and all of a sudden, England's best players are

:53:01. > :53:01.getting their hands on the ball. Yes, the Yorkshire Kearney the

:53:02. > :53:11.Centre. That changes the team talk at

:53:12. > :53:16.half-time. Clearly wales don't want to concede any more this half. Can

:53:17. > :53:21.they get some field position and builds pressure and maybe a penalty?

:53:22. > :53:26.Sienawski, again the line-out target. This time they get it out as

:53:27. > :53:47.far as Kieran Williams. Yes, just a bit overcomplicated. No

:53:48. > :53:50.conviction from Wales. I felt they needed to be direct there and get

:53:51. > :53:55.the field position again. Safety in numbers. Maybe a pick and go, around

:53:56. > :54:02.the corner, put some pressure on England to possibly concede a

:54:03. > :54:04.penalty before half-time. But there is the Neva T. These are young

:54:05. > :54:34.players and they will learn. Zach Mercer, brought down this time

:54:35. > :54:38.by Will Jones. Umaga. Max Wright, will Butler. The two centres

:54:39. > :54:44.combining well. Talbot-Davies gets the clearance kick in. Some of the

:54:45. > :54:52.Welsh tackling is looking a little bit weak and weary now towards the

:54:53. > :55:00.end of this half. Another one down. There is Mike Umaga. Born in

:55:01. > :55:09.Halifax, Jacob, after he play with Michael came over to coach and play

:55:10. > :55:14.rugby league. And a coach himself. A coach around the Midlands area. You

:55:15. > :55:22.do not want to give this fella too much time and space. He weighs the

:55:23. > :55:28.same as one of the Welsh second roast tonight. Zach Mercer is giving

:55:29. > :55:32.them confidence. You can see he plays at a much higher level. They

:55:33. > :55:37.are in control of themselves when they give him the ball. Great play.

:55:38. > :55:44.He is in everything. Carried 19 times against France. He has carried

:55:45. > :55:52.here that this half. They have just grown in confidence, haven't they?

:55:53. > :55:59.Still only 19 years old. As you were saying earlier, his appearances for

:56:00. > :56:03.Bath, he has had ten game for them this year and at the top level, when

:56:04. > :56:10.you come back down to play at this level then, it is a different ball

:56:11. > :56:13.game. Guy Mercer, his namesake, was named captain at the start of the

:56:14. > :56:20.season and he's keeping him out of the side. That is how good he is.

:56:21. > :56:27.Sienawski is leading the field. And Aled Ward of the Blues is on instead

:56:28. > :56:30.of him. A lot of bruising this under 20s said. But agree upfront. --

:56:31. > :56:43.Blues. Wales won't want to concede again in

:56:44. > :56:50.the remaining two and a half minutes. Clegg drives on. They are

:56:51. > :56:54.going to need to shows and discipline. They have been under the

:56:55. > :57:03.cosh and they need to go into the half at least at 13-17. Again, Zach

:57:04. > :57:08.Mercer gets them on the front foot. Maybe he should have held onto it.

:57:09. > :57:13.It is Ellis Shipp who is there for Wales. They need to clear and they

:57:14. > :57:25.need to clear well from here, do Wales. They do not want to be giving

:57:26. > :57:28.a line-out anywhere near the 22. Now then, on the evidence of what we saw

:57:29. > :57:36.earlier, this could be testing for Wales. I reckon so. We know what is

:57:37. > :57:38.coming here. Discipline is so important. It looks like there is

:57:39. > :57:44.enough time for them to go, should Wales give another week -- another

:57:45. > :57:49.penalty away here. There is the flanker at scrum-half. But it is a

:57:50. > :57:54.double bluff. It is a short ball to battle around here is over. England

:57:55. > :57:59.have a third just before half-time. And that is good thinking.

:58:00. > :58:03.Everybody, commentary team, players, the lot, was expecting the drive

:58:04. > :58:08.with the flanker standing at scrum-half but no, a quick, short

:58:09. > :58:14.ball and will Butler makes it three. This is a superbly mature call.

:58:15. > :58:18.Shape up for a drive. It is a little pull-out play, through comes the

:58:19. > :58:21.centre, Butler, who has been very influential in the last ten minutes

:58:22. > :58:25.and it is a sucker punch for Wales. We have talked about the need to

:58:26. > :58:29.just secure the last couple of minutes of the half and go in just

:58:30. > :58:32.narrowly down after such a good start but England have the bit

:58:33. > :58:47.between their teeth and they are going for the throw.

:58:48. > :58:54.Umaga has found his kicking boots and England have come good. Three

:58:55. > :58:58.tries in the final ten minutes of the half. And even though there will

:58:59. > :59:04.be time for a restart, they will be extremely happy with the way things

:59:05. > :59:09.have developed. Dean Ryan has just come and stood right in front of me.

:59:10. > :59:11.I will not see it. He is not sitting down. I will not argue with him

:59:12. > :59:35.mine. -- mind. Clegg. Driven on by... It has been

:59:36. > :59:44.lost, it went backwards. England have stolen it. Well, it all started

:59:45. > :59:50.so well for Wales. That speculative try from Ben Jones and his kicking

:59:51. > :59:56.gave them a very, very good start but England finished so strongly,

:59:57. > :00:00.Randall got them under way, three tries in the final ten minutes and

:00:01. > :00:03.now there is a real job to be done in the second half. England lead at

:00:04. > :00:17.half-time. Do we have to give England credit

:00:18. > :00:20.for coming back, or is it something Wales stopped doing question Mark

:00:21. > :00:24.Wii U if they gave them momentum they were dangerous broken field

:00:25. > :00:29.runners. They have a good off-loading game as well. You have

:00:30. > :00:34.to give them credit for some of the stuff they stuck together there, but

:00:35. > :00:39.a disappointing second half. -- disappointing first half. You have

:00:40. > :00:43.to change things, and in the conditions, the wind? We have to

:00:44. > :00:48.carry more, start winning. If we can get momentum back in our game, play

:00:49. > :00:53.in the right areas, hopefully we can do some damage. But we know we will

:00:54. > :01:00.have to be better than what we were in the last bit. Good luck to the

:01:01. > :01:00.boys. Thank you very much. . It was the

:01:01. > :01:02.in the last bit. Good luck to the boys. Thank you very much. . It was

:01:03. > :01:05.the brightest of starts for Wales. Ben Jones knocking over an early

:01:06. > :01:10.penalty and finishing this try with aplomb. After Wales spent a good

:01:11. > :01:15.first 12 or 15 minutes really targeting the England back three

:01:16. > :01:19.with the kicking game. Harry Randall got back in it and then a

:01:20. > :01:23.beautifully worked try, Jacob Umaga with the pasta Max Wright. Then on

:01:24. > :01:27.the stroke of half-time, England duping everyone. We expected the

:01:28. > :01:30.driving line-out, but it was the other centre who crashed over from

:01:31. > :01:35.short range, will Butler, with the final score of the half. Wales after

:01:36. > :01:41.starting so brightly now find themselves 24-13 down, facing

:01:42. > :01:46.something of an uphill struggle. A real case of a momentum swing in the

:01:47. > :01:49.opening half. Absolutely, Wales started off fantastically well.

:01:50. > :01:54.There was a spring in their step. I think they had done their homework

:01:55. > :01:57.on England, putting pressure on the back three with a great kicking

:01:58. > :02:01.game. Ultimately you are talking about big men and big men taking the

:02:02. > :02:05.stage and making things happen. Zach Mercer, England have that man, he's

:02:06. > :02:08.got England on the front foot. As a result the ball carrying ability of

:02:09. > :02:13.England came through. To what extent did you think the opening salvo, the

:02:14. > :02:18.home crowd and Wales being inspired by being here and hearing the

:02:19. > :02:23.anthems and England taking the sting out of that now? It was a tale of

:02:24. > :02:27.two 20 minutes. Wales controlled that 20 minutes, controlled

:02:28. > :02:31.possession, but Bryan Lewis, the forwards coach for Wales, touched on

:02:32. > :02:35.it. They started losing the gain line and as soon as you start losing

:02:36. > :02:40.the gain line against sides with physicality and individuality --

:02:41. > :02:45.individual brilliance, getting their hands on the ball quickly and that

:02:46. > :02:51.is enabled them to get their hands through contact and off-loading pass

:02:52. > :02:53.contacts. The England back coming into the game more in the second

:02:54. > :02:57.quarter but they looked vulnerable initially. Wales clearly targeting

:02:58. > :03:03.them with a kicking game, which led to the Ben Jones try. That's right,

:03:04. > :03:08.Wales had the wind advantage. It was a great kicking game by Wales.

:03:09. > :03:13.Ultimately put pressure on them. It wasn't just the ability or the good

:03:14. > :03:17.kicking of the Welsh side, but it was the chase as well. Putting them

:03:18. > :03:21.under pressure. That's the case of doing and ensuring that you go out

:03:22. > :03:26.there, identifying weaknesses and make the most of it. Wales took

:03:27. > :03:30.advantage of that. As I said, it was Zach Mercer ultimately who started

:03:31. > :03:34.to step back, take those high kicks and he always got England on on the

:03:35. > :03:37.front foot. That was a disappointment for Wales, after such

:03:38. > :03:47.a bright start. But this England side looked very good indeed. Why --

:03:48. > :03:51.Zach Mercer, we identified him as a threat at the start of the game.

:03:52. > :03:54.He's really come into this game. Ironically, getting himself under

:03:55. > :03:58.some of the kicks and running them back with interest. He's been a

:03:59. > :04:04.menace all night. Anything good for England has come through Zach

:04:05. > :04:09.Mercer, offensively, defensively, he's played nine a couple of times,

:04:10. > :04:14.he is carrying, clearing, enabling himself to use the footwork to pick

:04:15. > :04:18.up a weak shoulder in defence and he's getting through contact.

:04:19. > :04:20.Whether that be in attack and defence, he's getting involved in

:04:21. > :04:25.everything and making the England side tick at the moment. They were

:04:26. > :04:29.getting more and more yardage, getting beyond the gain line more

:04:30. > :04:32.often in our first task, and ultimately Harry Randall crossing

:04:33. > :04:35.the line when he did, it was a case of inevitability. I think it was.

:04:36. > :04:40.When you were on the front foot, putting pressure on the opposition,

:04:41. > :04:45.that's what happens. You concede penalties. Wales conceded a few.

:04:46. > :04:48.Harry Randall has looked sharp. He's played 20s last year, coming off the

:04:49. > :04:53.bench a number of times, and he looks a small but industrious

:04:54. > :04:56.player. We see a lot from scrum-half sticking it quickly, sharp across

:04:57. > :05:02.the first two or three yards and getting across. He's certainly got,

:05:03. > :05:06.started English try scoring, ten or 15 minutes, but you look at England

:05:07. > :05:11.at the moment and they starting to get on top, they are starting to

:05:12. > :05:15.make inroads. Wales' first up tackles are not particularly great.

:05:16. > :05:20.I just hope the team talk at half time will help stem the tide. Once

:05:21. > :05:24.that line was breached there were three tries in the space of seven

:05:25. > :05:28.minutes, quickfire tries from England. Max Wright was the next to

:05:29. > :05:34.get over the whitewash, beautifully crafted. It was a 50 or 55 metre

:05:35. > :05:42.try. They've worked it upfield. We didn't see that Guildford -- skill

:05:43. > :05:44.sets, being able to spread the ball across the field, under the

:05:45. > :05:47.defensive pressure that England were putting on them but as they were

:05:48. > :05:50.getting along the gain line it allowed them to pick holes in the

:05:51. > :05:54.defensive line and their ballplayers came into play a lot more and they

:05:55. > :05:59.managed to get over the try line a couple more times. That's very worst

:06:00. > :06:03.time to concede, the best time to score, the worst time to concede and

:06:04. > :06:09.Wales would have been hoping they would go in at 17-13, and instead

:06:10. > :06:13.its 24-13 and it's an uphill struggle.

:06:14. > :06:18.It was a well worked try, a training ground try as well. I think everyone

:06:19. > :06:23.thought it was going to be a case of England with a physicality they have

:06:24. > :06:26.upfront just to take it on, drive it through, Basil -- ultimately became

:06:27. > :06:31.off is back and put the centres through. It's not the best time to

:06:32. > :06:36.concede, 40 minutes still to go and you have to stay positive. I think

:06:37. > :06:40.for most of the supporters here and those, the England players, they

:06:41. > :06:44.will be confident they can go on and win this game. What's your team

:06:45. > :06:48.talk, Richie? You said Wales cannot afford to get sucked into an arm

:06:49. > :06:53.wrestle, and England have turned it into an arm wrestle. Why Wales were

:06:54. > :06:57.so successful, the kicking game, the accuracy and chase was there and

:06:58. > :07:00.they fell away from that in the last 20 minutes of that half, now going

:07:01. > :07:04.against the wind will make their lives harder but it means the whole

:07:05. > :07:07.15 players for Wales have to work that bit harder. If it means we have

:07:08. > :07:12.to bring the whole bench on the field to rejuvenate the chase line

:07:13. > :07:15.and the defensive lines are shut this England defensive carrier down,

:07:16. > :07:19.that's what they're going to have to do at the moment. Indeed plenty to

:07:20. > :07:23.be spoken about in that half-time team talk. This is where the coaches

:07:24. > :07:26.earn their money. It's going to be a tough second half for Wales, but if

:07:27. > :07:30.they can start they did the first half they certainly have a chance.

:07:31. > :07:34.We will show you some Pro12 scores, a couple of games going on this

:07:35. > :07:39.evening. Last we heard was the Ospreys were 10-7 down to Zebre, but

:07:40. > :07:56.I'm just hearing now, it's 21-10 up. Back to International Rugby Board

:07:57. > :07:57.this is axed one of the Wales versus England weakened. There are episodes

:07:58. > :08:07.two and three coming up tomorrow. Tomorrow, all roads lead to Cardiff

:08:08. > :08:13.for a double bill of one of the biggest fixtures in rugby, Wales

:08:14. > :08:16.against England. It all begins with Wales women, who will be plotting a

:08:17. > :08:21.way to beat the world champions, England. This Saturday is a huge

:08:22. > :08:25.game, just like the men, really. In this case in Lindahl world

:08:26. > :08:31.champions. It's a massive challenge for us and a huge step up. There's a

:08:32. > :08:35.great buzz around the team and it shows. As long as we keep winning,

:08:36. > :08:41.we can keep singing. You can watch that game on BBC Two Wales at

:08:42. > :08:45.11:20am. A few hours later, next door, the heat will be turned up for

:08:46. > :08:49.a battle royal at the Principality Stadium. You were brought up to get

:08:50. > :08:56.excited about Wales the England, to be involved in the fixture is very

:08:57. > :09:00.special, but it carries a huge weight of expectation. I'm a fan

:09:01. > :09:05.first, a player second, and we are all in it together. When you wear

:09:06. > :09:07.the jersey there will be no lack of pride or effort and we thank

:09:08. > :09:11.everyone for their support and hopefully they can see we're doing

:09:12. > :09:24.our best. Coverage starts on one Wales at 15 PM and 4pm S4C -- on BBC

:09:25. > :09:29.One Wales at 4:15pm. Two massive games to look forward

:09:30. > :09:32.to. The men's game tomorrow, so much hype, so much build-up, as you'd

:09:33. > :09:35.expect, Wales against England. What have you made of the grenades that

:09:36. > :09:46.Eddie Jones has been lobbying all week? It's typical Eddie Jones. He's

:09:47. > :09:50.a fantastic coach. The reality is he's a little bit concerned about

:09:51. > :09:55.this game. England have gone 15 games without defeat and he's just

:09:56. > :09:59.expecting more of a challenge tomorrow than any of the other

:10:00. > :10:05.matches. They scraped through against France. Wales did a job, a

:10:06. > :10:07.professional job out in Italy and the Cardiff factor and previous

:10:08. > :10:15.experiences, I think, are starting to get to him. You think he's

:10:16. > :10:18.rattled? I think he is. I thought it would be a tough battle for Wales

:10:19. > :10:24.and we'd do well to contain him to ten points also. I feel, whether

:10:25. > :10:29.it's a gut feeling or Welsh optimism, that we can win this game

:10:30. > :10:34.tomorrow. I can always rely your Newf optimism, I respect that. Late

:10:35. > :10:37.fitness tests on Dan Biggar and George North, both struggling with

:10:38. > :10:42.injuries. Strong rumours that George North is not going to make it. If he

:10:43. > :10:48.doesn't, who was your replacement? There's so many, we've got the likes

:10:49. > :10:53.of Eli Walker, Steff Evans, Alex Cuthbert, you've got numerous names

:10:54. > :10:55.you can throw up there but hopefully George North makes it. He's a

:10:56. > :11:02.physical specimen and that's what you will need tomorrow afternoon in

:11:03. > :11:05.the game. Keeping our figures crossed those two make it over the

:11:06. > :11:07.line. Let's have a quick word with Sean, who is bombing back down the

:11:08. > :11:12.M6 to COMMENTATOR:

:11:13. > :11:18.Wales were men's game tomorrow. Unbeaten, five out of five including

:11:19. > :11:23.four preseason games, they are on a roll? Yes, they are on a roll, they

:11:24. > :11:27.are confident, fired up. They realise it's a massive challenge to

:11:28. > :11:30.play against this England team tomorrow, who really have a lot of

:11:31. > :11:35.experience. A lot of players I remember from Bristol ladies rugby.

:11:36. > :11:39.They have read in the centre, Sarah Hunter, the stalwart captain at

:11:40. > :11:43.number eight, the former world were men's Player of the Year, Danielle

:11:44. > :11:48.Waterman at 15, but we have some fine players in Wales. The captain

:11:49. > :11:52.and hooker is confident, scored a try last week. I'm looking forward

:11:53. > :11:55.to it. It's going to be a keenly contested game. Only one score in it

:11:56. > :12:00.last year and Rowland himself and the girls feel they are in with a

:12:01. > :12:04.shout tomorrow. Excellent, enjoy that one and enjoy the rest of the

:12:05. > :12:07.second half as well. The Welsh team were just greeted with a massive

:12:08. > :12:11.roar from the home crowd here. Hopefully that will lift their

:12:12. > :12:15.performance in this second half. We are about to kick off so I'll hand

:12:16. > :12:17.you back to Gareth Charles. COMMENTATOR:

:12:18. > :12:22.Thanks very much. Let's hope the team talk and the crowd have been an

:12:23. > :12:26.inspiration. England are certainly fired up at the end of the

:12:27. > :12:42.second-half and showed what a class team they are.

:12:43. > :12:56.Black. The kicking started very well indeed for Wales. Pressure on Tom

:12:57. > :13:02.Parton. I've no doubt the England coaching team will have had the back

:13:03. > :13:09.row ready for the Welsh team, play through them and go through the

:13:10. > :13:13.phases. There you go. They look very dangerous, Max Wright, scored one of

:13:14. > :13:20.the three tries at the end of the first half. Curtis Langdon, the

:13:21. > :13:30.replacement hooker for England. Winning the penalty for the home

:13:31. > :13:32.side, Morgan Sieniawski. Wales are under pressure, they need to

:13:33. > :13:39.consolidate at the start of the second, gets an territory, get some

:13:40. > :13:40.confidence back. -- get some territory, get some ball, get some

:13:41. > :14:02.confidence back. Mirza again, -- Mercer again. A good

:14:03. > :14:04.game, Frank Murphy, to be fair to him. Nice to see ex-players taking

:14:05. > :14:21.up the whistle. Never wrong as well! Rosser. The captain, Will Jones, to

:14:22. > :14:26.carry. It's gone forward from the loosehead's grasp. Wales have to be

:14:27. > :14:31.accurate. Yes, spot on. The chances are going to be limited. They took

:14:32. > :14:35.in the first half, the first half of the first half, and they can't

:14:36. > :14:41.afford to be indisciplined with or without the ball against the now

:14:42. > :14:45.confident England team. Jared Rosser got hit off the first phase and

:14:46. > :14:49.probably the biggest ball-carrier has taken the carry on the second

:14:50. > :14:55.phase, but unfortunately he's just not that ball on. That's exactly

:14:56. > :14:59.what Wales need to carry on with for the remaining minutes of the game.

:15:00. > :15:07.His mum and dad have come to watch him from Cardiff tonight. Most of

:15:08. > :15:12.the parents, I dare say. It's something Rob Howley has been

:15:13. > :15:19.looking for, seeing if there is a sneaky way through.

:15:20. > :15:31.Parton and Jones, driven off it. A very good game last week, the Welsh

:15:32. > :15:39.captain. England have far bigger physical presence than Italy. Just a

:15:40. > :15:44.penalty though. I was going to say before half-time that the last few

:15:45. > :15:49.weeks we've seen a reduction, haven't we, in the number of tackles

:15:50. > :15:51.hi, I would think. Last week in the Six Nations it was particularly

:15:52. > :15:56.good, particularly the Scotland and Ireland game full stop it was

:15:57. > :16:01.fantastic. The consequences with the tackle now, if you are down to 13 or

:16:02. > :16:06.14 men, the impact that has going forward for the remainder of any

:16:07. > :16:09.sort of game is huge. They try to go lower. Rees is a big guy and just

:16:10. > :16:14.got above the shoulders. As he's gone down it wasn't the tidiest of

:16:15. > :16:19.tackles, but it was a penalty, no more than that for me. Again, it

:16:20. > :16:22.started on the shoulders and slid up and that's no excuse now. It's

:16:23. > :16:28.covered by the law. It will be an offence.

:16:29. > :16:38.The crowd getting behind the team. They want an early score from Wales.

:16:39. > :16:41.Keiran Williams steps inside his man. The second line of defence

:16:42. > :16:51.comes from Will Butler. Wales need to be careful, they don't

:16:52. > :16:56.want the court over playing in this area of the field now. Which is why

:16:57. > :17:03.Ben Jones puts them downtown, only as far as Tom Parton though. An

:17:04. > :17:08.excellent kick. That was the corner, wasn't it? That sort of right hand

:17:09. > :17:11.behind the wing that Wales had a lot of success in the first half. Parton

:17:12. > :17:18.positioned himself lovely, lovely left foot. I think his dad played a

:17:19. > :17:23.little bit for Northampton. Always like to have a left footed

:17:24. > :17:28.full-back. Lee Byrne, Barry Davis, Richard Fussell, those sorts of

:17:29. > :17:33.guys, left footers who put a bit of yen to your yang. Do you have a left

:17:34. > :17:48.foot? Yes, ambidextrous! You have to stay up late to catch me

:17:49. > :17:55.out! Gareth Jenkins along with Anthony McCann and Brown John. As

:17:56. > :18:00.always Gareth Jenkins following closely, the next crop of players

:18:01. > :18:04.coming through. Have you ever seen a picture with Anthony Buchanan in

:18:05. > :18:10.without Gareth Jenkins next to him? LAUGHTER

:18:11. > :18:12.Great blokes, great blokes, the three of them. Gareth has retired

:18:13. > :18:26.now. Talking of full-backs, Dan Evans got

:18:27. > :18:31.a hat-trick for the Ospreys, they lead 26-10. They fixed the graphics,

:18:32. > :18:35.that is what it is! Dan Evans, was a player. He probably doesn't get the

:18:36. > :18:39.recognition he deserves, whether for the Ospreys or Wales, but a hell of

:18:40. > :18:43.a talented player. He's been around a bit but he's not even that old,

:18:44. > :18:47.but he produces week in and week out for the Ospreys. If you were a coach

:18:48. > :18:54.that is exactly who you want. Absolutely. I was lucky enough to

:18:55. > :18:56.coach Wales in 2009 and he was capped on that tour of North

:18:57. > :18:58.America. Unfortunately he hasn't been capped since. But you are

:18:59. > :19:02.right. The Ospreys are good at picking up players like that, I

:19:03. > :19:08.mentioned Richard Russell, who had a great end to his career. Unfortunate

:19:09. > :19:14.for the England captain. A leg injury. Josh Bayliss of Basque comes

:19:15. > :19:22.on to take his place. That's the other replacement, Curtis Langdon,

:19:23. > :19:28.the two replacements in together. Almost a two the Welsh try line, but

:19:29. > :19:35.they managed to hold him off. They just got away with that did Wales.

:19:36. > :19:41.Managed to get his knees to Murphy. The referee has just called it, so

:19:42. > :19:44.the Wales players, I think it was Will Jones, they noticed that Frank

:19:45. > :19:47.Murphy had called that and managed to lock the ball on the floor to

:19:48. > :19:58.force the turnover and forced the Wales scrum. Callum Bradbury departs

:19:59. > :20:03.and Alex Dombrandt of Cardiff, who started the game last week, comes

:20:04. > :20:11.on. His partner Sean Moore in the second row. Moore, who got those

:20:12. > :20:20.runs early on, very early on for Wales. Seems like a long time ago

:20:21. > :20:20.now, doesn't it? He started so brightly, dominating the second

:20:21. > :20:35.quarter. Hold your weight, says Frank Murphy.

:20:36. > :20:38.They've done well in the scrum tonight, Wales. They are young unit,

:20:39. > :20:40.have a lot to learn. Might we said at the top of the show, two year

:20:41. > :21:03.cycle. Well taken by Umaga. Morris. Right and left.

:21:04. > :21:13.LAUGHTER Nice one, I like that! Mercer.

:21:14. > :21:17.Umaga. Plenty of bodies in midfield, being stabbed through by Parton. It

:21:18. > :21:22.was the replacement, Bailey's, who was trying to hunt it down on the

:21:23. > :21:25.far side. The the two England replacements look lively. We expect

:21:26. > :21:29.them to have some strength and depth. It will be interesting to see

:21:30. > :21:33.the difference when the Wales players come on. They are looking a

:21:34. > :21:38.bit tired. There's a lot more to come in this game yet. A long, long

:21:39. > :21:44.way to go. If they can get the next score. England have their tails up

:21:45. > :21:46.so if Wales can whether this tough patch and not concede points, Wales

:21:47. > :21:58.will have done well. Still interesting to see England not

:21:59. > :22:03.really competing being very selective over the tackle area. Not

:22:04. > :22:06.wanting to give penalties away here. By doing that they are filling the

:22:07. > :22:09.field and trying to put pressure on the kicker, as you see their Justin

:22:10. > :22:21.Clegg and Dave Blacker at nine. It seems to have been the Zach

:22:22. > :22:28.Mercer show, doesn't it? Quick hands, trying to get the ball

:22:29. > :22:40.out to Ibitoye. Wales can just lock this up, then

:22:41. > :22:58.the scrum to Wales. That's exactly what has happened. I

:22:59. > :23:01.think all 30 players were around the ball at that point, but good tactic

:23:02. > :23:02.from Wales. It's very difficult once you're in that predicament to get

:23:03. > :23:23.out of it. Wales haven't been out of their half

:23:24. > :23:28.in the opening ten minutes of the second period. Yes, they just have

:23:29. > :23:31.to weather the storm. They are against the wind. There's quite a

:23:32. > :23:36.bit of breeze down there on pitch side. They have to weather the storm

:23:37. > :23:39.and then the time will come. England's defence will break a

:23:40. > :23:44.little and that will be their time to try and get a bit of territory

:23:45. > :23:53.and get some points on the board. Morgan Morris, the number eight with

:23:54. > :24:02.the feed. Then the clear. Ben Jones, Rosser. Into the arms of cursed is

:24:03. > :24:07.-- Curtis Langdon. He's put himself about in the ten minutes he's been

:24:08. > :24:11.on the field. The he's brought some urgency. Their defensive line, to

:24:12. > :24:14.their credit, has been organised all game. It's just the kick that have

:24:15. > :24:16.caused them problems. I just wonder where Wales are going to get their

:24:17. > :24:26.points from. Parton has coped with everything in

:24:27. > :24:33.the second half. He is taking on that responsibility, rather than the

:24:34. > :24:37.wingers, maybe. Running is their strength, there's no doubt. Can't do

:24:38. > :24:43.it without your legs and Ryan Conbeer, holding on for dear life,

:24:44. > :24:49.trying to set up the Welsh counter. Just slow down enough for the

:24:50. > :24:52.English defensive line to get in position again. They are very

:24:53. > :24:58.selective. When Wales have numbers, they will not go for the ball. Again

:24:59. > :25:01.here, they will dump and fan. Wales are committed four guys. They have

:25:02. > :25:06.white shirts on the line. Will they go for this one? No. Just difficult

:25:07. > :25:13.to break it down. It's a knock-on effect it has from that, lovely

:25:14. > :25:17.hands, but it's a knock-on effect, any sort of slow ball. You have to

:25:18. > :25:26.work and regenerate to create quick ball in the next phase. Looking for

:25:27. > :25:36.another run, but the interception. Oh! Knocked on by Bayliss. Wales

:25:37. > :25:43.trying to force it and almost paying the price. Well, you almost don't

:25:44. > :25:46.want it to be a loosehead prop as I said in the first half, but he's

:25:47. > :25:50.clearing here. He looks like he's got a good pair of heels. It's

:25:51. > :25:55.almost as if he said, I shouldn't be doing this. He put the anchor on,

:25:56. > :26:00.slowed down. When you play off ten with such slow ball it allows the

:26:01. > :26:04.defensive line to get off the line. You have prop forwards, intercepting

:26:05. > :26:09.the ball outside of ten. There's an injury. Let's go back down to fill.

:26:10. > :26:13.Yellow bob bobbing the Premiership split has happened earlier last

:26:14. > :26:24.month and it's one match taking place tonight, and the Vale 7-3 up

:26:25. > :26:31.against a brave. -- arboretum. Tomorrow, two games. For my good

:26:32. > :26:35.field guide, there's no club games tomorrow because of the

:26:36. > :26:38.international hiatus, so I'm going for Pontypridd schools under 15 is

:26:39. > :26:46.against Rhondda schools, at 10:30am. That's in the shield. It's the

:26:47. > :26:50.nationwide competition for under 15 is rugby. It's the oldest schools

:26:51. > :26:56.competition in the whole world. It's well over 100 years old. The Rhondda

:26:57. > :27:03.schools, captained by a familiar face, Neil. It's the oldest

:27:04. > :27:07.competition for schools in world rugby. Anorak off!

:27:08. > :27:13.COMMENTATOR: Thanks, the pressure from the Welsh

:27:14. > :27:18.scrum will allow them to get out of the 22, after they'd done it the

:27:19. > :27:22.hard way earlier. Well, whatever happens tonight, the scrum has gone

:27:23. > :27:25.very, very well and both props and the hooker have done well in open

:27:26. > :27:33.play as well. Let alone the set piece. You have to give credit to

:27:34. > :27:37.Assiratti and they went into the game thinking England would have the

:27:38. > :27:40.upper hand in the set piece, but they have more than coped, Wales,

:27:41. > :27:45.especially at scrum time. They've got that other hand, you see the man

:27:46. > :27:52.on your screen, Ellis Shipp, lending his weight. Helen O'Reilly, the

:27:53. > :28:04.touch judge on the far side. Making sure Ellis Shipp was in the right

:28:05. > :28:09.place to take it. Isiekwe got in on it. Wales can't get in on it, cannot

:28:10. > :28:13.build. The you are right, it's sapping. They have to convert from

:28:14. > :28:18.area into defence and now they are stretched. A knock-on, advantage

:28:19. > :28:24.being played. Offside in the centre, so despite the English handling

:28:25. > :28:29.error they'll have the chance to go down to the Welsh 22 again. Ben

:28:30. > :28:33.Jones is too keen to get out of the defensive line. As any good ten,

:28:34. > :28:37.they want to shut the space down, but he's too keen. It's a penalty

:28:38. > :28:41.Wales cannot afford to give away, to give England time to go for the

:28:42. > :28:47.three points to look at the corner. They can't get a plays together.

:28:48. > :28:50.They had an interception, then got the penalty and don't win the

:28:51. > :28:55.line-out. They can't build. It's a message that needs to go on, a

:28:56. > :29:02.little bit more composure. There's a long way to go in the game. England

:29:03. > :29:05.a long way off from scoring in this half. But you can't dive out of the

:29:06. > :29:08.line when you are short of numbers in defence. Just control yourself,

:29:09. > :29:16.tighten up, soften up, push on the touchline and regain the wits of the

:29:17. > :29:20.field. We saw a couple of Welsh replacements ready to come on.

:29:21. > :29:30.An excellent kick by Umaga. The 15 minutes of pressure that England

:29:31. > :29:34.have pretty much exerted at the second half, even though they

:29:35. > :29:37.haven't got near the try line, they are taking points and taking the

:29:38. > :29:43.game away from Wales. That they two score Lee Bell. You yes, they'll be

:29:44. > :29:46.happy to do that. Umaga have grown in confidence as the game has gone

:29:47. > :29:48.on and they are happy to take three points here and there. Wales have to

:29:49. > :29:58.chase the game now. Cameron Lewis and Aled Ward take the

:29:59. > :30:25.field. What Wales cannot afford to do now

:30:26. > :30:29.is start slipping off tackles, especially when it is the first time

:30:30. > :30:34.in a long while they have had a bit of territory. They have two front up

:30:35. > :30:45.for at least the next ten minutes of game.

:30:46. > :30:52.Sensible from Randall. Just pushing Wales back deep again. Brilliant

:30:53. > :30:56.kick from Randall. He has kicked off his wrong foot, he has knocked it

:30:57. > :30:59.left footed down the touchline and has forced Talbot-Davies to gather

:31:00. > :31:08.it going backwards and under pressure. This gives England a

:31:09. > :31:17.perfect attacking opportunity just 25 metres out. Smart play. England

:31:18. > :31:22.looking to get the drive on. Ollie Dawe. In possession. In charge. Now

:31:23. > :31:36.Randall. Under pressure from Sienawski. And Rhys Carre. Lovely

:31:37. > :31:40.pop from Mercer. I think he has done Rhys Carre for coming in from the

:31:41. > :31:44.side and again, giving opportunity to ban this into the corner and for

:31:45. > :31:49.England to go to their strengths. It goes down to the Welsh discipline.

:31:50. > :31:53.It has not been there in this second half and we can see that on the

:31:54. > :32:04.scoreboard. Well-controlled, English scrums usually are. A lovely kick

:32:05. > :32:11.from Umaga. Don't is that -- putting it into that five metre area and it

:32:12. > :32:15.is trouble for Wales. Rhys Carre has been struggling. It looks like he

:32:16. > :32:22.has a little bit of cramp. I have been watching him for the last five

:32:23. > :32:28.minutes. He takes a lot of energy, he is a big guy. No doubt we will

:32:29. > :32:32.see a couple of replacements in the front row sooner rather than later.

:32:33. > :32:39.The other prop has been replaced. That was Chris Coleman we had a bit

:32:40. > :32:46.of a glimpse of. We need a little bit of Euro magic. They did well to

:32:47. > :32:57.disrupt that one. Pressure on the Welsh try line. Zach Mercer. He

:32:58. > :33:01.always makes yards once he has his hands on the ball. If you were a

:33:02. > :33:05.betting man, you would expect him to score by the time the game is out.

:33:06. > :33:14.Harry Randall itching to get his hands on the ball. Isiekwe. To the

:33:15. > :33:20.blindside comes Zach Mercer but over the top goes the ball. Back inside

:33:21. > :33:26.but only as far as Dane Blacker. Wales survive. Just. Good rescue

:33:27. > :33:31.from the scrum-half. Tracking on the inside, as he should. It is that man

:33:32. > :33:38.again, he is a threat. Over the top. Good rescue. You have got to give

:33:39. > :33:45.Harry Randall credit. He was the same last week. He is very

:33:46. > :33:48.diminutive in stature. He is not the biggest guy but he is very

:33:49. > :33:53.threatening around the fringes. Tactically he is very good. And for

:33:54. > :34:03.once, the English line-out is untidy. The coaching team in front

:34:04. > :34:08.of us, they will be absolutely livid because two clear-cut chances, clean

:34:09. > :34:15.ball in terms of no contest. They have not executed. Letting Wales off

:34:16. > :34:23.the Hook. Although, it is a dangerous place. There he is, the

:34:24. > :34:30.scrum-half, Harry Randall, having a fine game. He has been one of the

:34:31. > :34:43.best players on the field. Yes, pulling the strings for England.

:34:44. > :34:57.Wales battling to get away from the try line.

:34:58. > :35:06.Well, one feels that relief is only going to be a momentary thing.

:35:07. > :35:10.Someone for Wales needs to grab this game by the scruff of the neck and

:35:11. > :35:16.bring some urgency to it. Whether that is one of the guys off the

:35:17. > :35:19.bench or Dane Blacker, somebody for Wales has got to offer something a

:35:20. > :35:23.little bit more with a little bit more urgency. Nice footwork and

:35:24. > :35:32.great hands from Will Jones. That is the kind of thing that needs to spur

:35:33. > :35:35.Wales onwards. Ioan Nicholas. It has got the crowd involved as well. And

:35:36. > :35:44.that is what you need with a full house. You need to give them

:35:45. > :35:47.something to shout about. Defence up very quickly but that is great work

:35:48. > :35:58.by Ellis Shipp. A lovely pass as well. Dombrandt. Penalty. A quick

:35:59. > :36:04.tap and go from Dane Blacker. Was not ten metres. That is going to be

:36:05. > :36:11.yellow for Harry Randall. Absolutely no empathy from a former scrum-half

:36:12. > :36:15.to another scrum-half, taking out a quick and tough playing scrum-half.

:36:16. > :36:19.It is one of those, if you are the opposing nine, you do not want him

:36:20. > :36:24.to get the upper hand. He knew that was coming. He made the decision,

:36:25. > :36:32.you are not going past me and I will take ten minutes in the bin. He

:36:33. > :36:40.thought maybe there was no one is at home but I think there might have

:36:41. > :36:47.been. Ten minutes in the bin. Great work by Ellis Shipp to get past that

:36:48. > :36:51.first contact area. He off-loaded it would Dombrandt. But allowed Wales

:36:52. > :36:55.to get the penalty. I tell you what. I think he did write for his team.

:36:56. > :37:01.There was only Ollie Dawe back there. He took one for the team and

:37:02. > :37:06.sometimes you have to do that. I just mentioned a moment to go down

:37:07. > :37:12.the other end of the field, Umaga put the penalty five metres out. And

:37:13. > :37:15.look at this, maybe Rush did a little bit. Ten metres out. It

:37:16. > :37:20.changes the call and makes it slightly easier to defend. It has

:37:21. > :37:27.taken them this long in the second half to get down into England

:37:28. > :37:30.territory. Cameron Lewis adds his weight. So do the centres. There is

:37:31. > :37:38.nobody left on the outside and they are being pushed back by England.

:37:39. > :37:48.They have to be smart, use the extra man advantage. There will be no nine

:37:49. > :37:57.sweeping. Chris Coleman with the pick and go around the corner.

:37:58. > :38:07.Another penalty coming Wales' way. Aled Ward driving on.

:38:08. > :38:12.You could just hear the forwards in the background, they want to go

:38:13. > :38:21.again, they fancy their chances. They have been under the pen for the

:38:22. > :38:25.whole of the second half but now Wales have a chance to make their

:38:26. > :38:34.mark and claw their way back into this one. It is amazing what one bit

:38:35. > :38:37.of magic can do. A good carry in the Centre from Ioan Nicholas and then

:38:38. > :38:42.that great bit of play by the hooker, Ellis Shipp and then these

:38:43. > :38:47.tap and go and all of a sudden, the momentum shifts. The crowd willing

:38:48. > :38:56.them onwards. They want a score from here. He got it at the second

:38:57. > :39:03.attempt. Did not go forward. Wales are that close to the try line.

:39:04. > :39:12.Trying to go through the middle. They are celebrating. As though they

:39:13. > :39:16.have got there. That guy on screen, Chris Coleman, I think it was. He

:39:17. > :39:25.picked it up from short range and he is a big old blimp to stop from that

:39:26. > :39:31.far out. -- big old lump. Wales were patient. It was scrappy ball. The

:39:32. > :39:35.touch judge had a big part to play, calling no knock-on. It is Chris

:39:36. > :39:40.Coleman who just about makes the line. Fair play to the assistant

:39:41. > :39:45.referee. He gives the referee the thumbs up and you can clearly see

:39:46. > :39:51.from that shot. He is pretty delighted with himself. What an

:39:52. > :40:03.impact Chris Coleman, the Dragons' tight head, has had. You asked for

:40:04. > :40:08.the Euro magic. That is just what Wales needed. They rode the storm

:40:09. > :40:11.for 20 minutes after half-time and now they are straight back into this

:40:12. > :40:16.game. They need to correct this kick-off and get a bit more

:40:17. > :40:26.territory. What did I say about convergence? This one, certainly.

:40:27. > :40:32.Big kick. Not this time though for Ben Jones which means England still

:40:33. > :40:36.have a two score lead. A tough kick for him but credit the young man

:40:37. > :40:39.coming on here. He took it upon himself and showed initiative. He

:40:40. > :40:47.wanted to get over for his team adheres pretty delighted. It is not

:40:48. > :40:57.over yet, boys. That is 19 and a half stone you have to try and stop

:40:58. > :41:04.from a litre out. -- meter. Confusion between Ellis Shipp and

:41:05. > :41:14.Lewis but it came off Lewis' legs. That is a lucky break for Wales.

:41:15. > :41:20.England have brought on the replacement scrum-half in Alex

:41:21. > :41:26.Mitchell. That is at least for the time being while the sin-bin is

:41:27. > :41:39.still ongoing. Another drive forward from Zach Mercer. Interesting to see

:41:40. > :41:42.how England respond. They have... We have got a game on here. The Wales

:41:43. > :41:47.boys are up for it than the replacements have brought a bit of

:41:48. > :41:52.freshness. Tom Curry has gone through a lot of work in this second

:41:53. > :41:57.half, the English blindside. We were speaking to Dean Ryan at half-time.

:41:58. > :42:04.He has a twin brother and they share appearances, apparently. From a

:42:05. > :42:11.coach 's perspective, would you roll the bench? Would you try and get

:42:12. > :42:15.them on with 15 minutes remaining? They need a little more energy and

:42:16. > :42:20.urgency. It is a good question. I am a cultural likes to stick with the

:42:21. > :42:26.boys who are in the throes of the game if they are going OK. I do not

:42:27. > :42:30.like to make changes for changes' sake. But if they are struggling or

:42:31. > :42:35.if there are some that you think and make a significant difference, as

:42:36. > :42:44.Coleman has, and the props have done well. They have made a difference. I

:42:45. > :42:48.have got a former international, Mike Umaga, father of Jacob and an

:42:49. > :42:58.England World Cup winner, Paul Grayson. England or Wales tomorrow?

:42:59. > :43:04.Obviously England. That is enough from you. Mike, Jacob playing really

:43:05. > :43:08.well. I have often wondered, being the parent of a player, is it more

:43:09. > :43:14.nerve wracking watching your son or playing yourself? Definitely

:43:15. > :43:19.watching your kids play, because you cannot do anything to help them. But

:43:20. > :43:26.it is something you get used to. Watching them grow up. He is doing

:43:27. > :43:32.all right. On having a son playing for England in the 20s. I will ask

:43:33. > :43:36.you about tomorrow as well. I think it'll be a tough one. I think Wales

:43:37. > :43:41.played really well at the back end of the game last week. England with

:43:42. > :43:48.a few injuries, not performing too well. I think it might be a chance

:43:49. > :43:53.for Wales. Love to hear that. Listen to that, Paul Grayson. Great to see

:43:54. > :44:08.you both. Go for three or go for the corner?

:44:09. > :44:13.That is the decision. Personally, it is still a yellow card. I will go

:44:14. > :44:17.for the corner. Show your intent. You are the home team. I understand

:44:18. > :44:21.taking three but my personal decision, go for it. On the

:44:22. > :44:32.touchline, they are pointing towards the corner. They are barking some

:44:33. > :44:39.orders. We will soon find out. We have not seen much of the England

:44:40. > :44:49.winger is this half. Wales have really come back into this. Yes,

:44:50. > :44:56.great tackle. He is straight back onto his feet. They have just got

:44:57. > :45:02.over the ball and slowed it down and force the turnover and the penalty.

:45:03. > :45:10.Just as well he had a word when he did. Because Jacob Umaga... It is

:45:11. > :45:17.James Grayson coming on inside of him. Maybe he should have had a word

:45:18. > :45:22.the other way around. They need to get closer to the line. Nice off the

:45:23. > :45:35.top ball. It is the replacement Steff Thomas. Just slowed down by

:45:36. > :45:45.England. That is key for Wales. Ioan Nicholas in amongst the forwards.

:45:46. > :45:47.Lasered back nicely. Sienawski. Charging onto it is Dombrandt. This

:45:48. > :46:06.is good pressure by Wales now. England trying to make a mess of the

:46:07. > :46:12.Welsh possession. Certainly slowed it down. There is a lot of space on

:46:13. > :46:17.the left hand side. Wales are having to put a lot of numbers into the

:46:18. > :46:31.contact area. Straight through the middle again. So close. Yellow card

:46:32. > :46:40.surely. Is this going to be a second yellow? It should be and it is.

:46:41. > :46:49.Chris Langdon gets yellow carded. What do you go for here? Scrum.

:46:50. > :46:57.There are still two won the Ben -- to win the bin. There will be space

:46:58. > :47:05.all over that field. A poor decision by the man on your screen. Another

:47:06. > :47:12.great pick and go through that breakdown. He has just gone in the

:47:13. > :47:17.side. And given the penalty away. I find this difficult to believe, with

:47:18. > :47:23.two men in the bin, they are going for the posts. Unless they know they

:47:24. > :47:32.are guaranteed another ten minutes, as soon as Harry Randall... If he

:47:33. > :47:38.does come back on, shortly... They are backing themselves to get the

:47:39. > :47:42.try to win. Ben Jones gets the penalty and that brings Wales back

:47:43. > :47:49.within a score. Final ten minutes and Wales need a converted try to

:47:50. > :47:57.turn this game. England will finish with 14 men. A terrible decision by

:47:58. > :48:03.Curtis Langdon. Wales now have the opportunity. What they don't want to

:48:04. > :48:09.do is go through too many phases. Inside their 22. There is a chance

:48:10. > :48:12.they will give that penalty away at the breakdown but they have got the

:48:13. > :48:16.ball away and it is to that man Zach Mercer. He slips the tackle and he

:48:17. > :48:23.is still going. All the way for the corner. Op. Cit. Back inside. On the

:48:24. > :48:34.try line. This could be the killer blow for England. He reaches and

:48:35. > :48:38.makes it. Zach Mercer gets the try that gets England a bonus point and

:48:39. > :48:43.may well have got the victory as well. And he has been everywhere,

:48:44. > :48:48.has the English number eight, Zach Mercer, and it looks like he has

:48:49. > :48:55.done the job for his team. I said if I was a betting man... I like this

:48:56. > :49:03.guy because he is a cut above the rest. He made that himself. He has

:49:04. > :49:08.took on it upon himself to score and it is a very, very clinical score.

:49:09. > :49:11.There were a lot of spaces out wide. We can see it here but there was

:49:12. > :49:18.only way that Zach Mercer was going. What I like about him is he does the

:49:19. > :49:23.flashy stuff but then he is straight back on his feet and gets the ball

:49:24. > :49:29.again. His work ethic is second to none. He is a big, strong guy and he

:49:30. > :49:34.just dropped over the touchline. We'll Wales rue the decision to go

:49:35. > :49:41.for five or seven? What a great kick that is. A chip off the old block,

:49:42. > :49:45.James Grayson. We talked about development at the top and we said

:49:46. > :49:49.it was a mixture of trying to win and these players learning. They are

:49:50. > :49:52.learning from their sometimes you learn that when you win and

:49:53. > :49:58.sometimes you learn when you don't. There is only one way that these

:49:59. > :50:05.players will get better, they will gain experience and by playing in

:50:06. > :50:11.games like these, hopefully in 18 months - two years' time, we will

:50:12. > :50:14.see the positive from that. Change is all wrong. That is Phil Jones on

:50:15. > :50:22.for Kieran Williams. He is a fly-half. England back up to 14. On

:50:23. > :50:50.replacement scrum-half has stayed on.

:50:51. > :50:59.It is getting very chesty out there, boys. Maybe someday make coach at

:51:00. > :51:07.Saracens, I don't know. -- something of coach.

:51:08. > :51:13.The referee has made some good decisions. A good game. He is not

:51:14. > :51:20.too keen to blow his whistle, even if he has... If he has not blown his

:51:21. > :51:24.whistle at the correct time, he will come back to it. That allows the

:51:25. > :51:27.game to flow a little bit more. We have not seen an awful lot of him

:51:28. > :51:36.and that is what you want from the referees, in my eyes.

:51:37. > :51:47.Well, the Welsh comeback was short lived.

:51:48. > :52:00.Zach Mercer away again from the base. Great skills back inside.

:52:01. > :52:05.Lovely slip from Ollie Dawe. And Dominic Morris having a run on the

:52:06. > :52:19.left. Mitchell, Zach Mercer once again. Wales up too quickly.

:52:20. > :52:26.Isiekwe. And in the end, Frank Murphy coming all the way back for

:52:27. > :52:30.the offside in midfield. It'll be all about the clock for England now

:52:31. > :52:35.and Zach Mercer just trying to slow things down. They want to run the

:52:36. > :52:40.clock down. They have done another. They will either take the scrum or

:52:41. > :52:45.go for the corner. Zach Mercer has called for the scrum. Your shout for

:52:46. > :52:49.man of the match tonight? I really enjoy the game and Wales have been

:52:50. > :52:54.in it from the start. That has made the game for me. The front row has

:52:55. > :52:59.gone well. Ellis Shipp has had a good game. Ben Jones has kicked

:53:00. > :53:07.well, especially in the first half. Umaga got better. Harry Randall paid

:53:08. > :53:12.well. But my man of the match, that man there, number eight for England,

:53:13. > :53:18.Zach Mercer. He has been absolutely immense this evening, has the Bath

:53:19. > :53:26.number eight. It is no coincidence that Eddie Jones highlighted him in

:53:27. > :53:30.the week. He has got that ability. He has got that quality to play

:53:31. > :53:35.under pressure and do it time and time again and that is what we have

:53:36. > :53:40.seen from him so far this season. He has shown everything. He has carried

:53:41. > :53:42.and offended, lovely off-loads and has brought other people into the

:53:43. > :53:47.game and he has taken over the captaincy and scored the

:53:48. > :53:54.all-important try. I just wish he would pull his socks up. Interesting

:53:55. > :53:59.decision for England. They have gone for a scrum. It is uncontested and

:54:00. > :54:10.it gives them an easy start. Trying to weave patterns behind. I got the

:54:11. > :54:13.approving nod from the boys in front. I think they are pretty happy

:54:14. > :54:17.with Zach Mercer 's performance and he has been a car as much as much as

:54:18. > :54:20.anything but let's give credit to this young Wales team. Right across

:54:21. > :54:27.the board, they have been consistent. Yes, they have made some

:54:28. > :54:29.mistakes. But a good performance, albeit not going to be a winning

:54:30. > :55:11.one. Mitchell. He was on the box of both

:55:12. > :55:21.Manchester United and Manchester city. But has now decided to

:55:22. > :55:26.concentrate on rugby. Why? I don't know. A few more bob to be made with

:55:27. > :55:37.the round ball, if you can make the grade, of course. A desperate late

:55:38. > :55:41.off-load from Phil Jones. And as Wales, with Will Jones, trying

:55:42. > :55:47.desperately to get crumbs of possession, they give away the

:55:48. > :55:55.penalty. As the tackle comes in, the ball just spills out.

:55:56. > :56:04.I think Wales have given the crowd enough to shout about and to come

:56:05. > :56:12.back. It is a lovely venue. It is a very cold night but is a good night

:56:13. > :56:18.for rugby. France were the last team to beat them here back in 2014.

:56:19. > :56:22.England will take that crown now, the world champions, who themselves

:56:23. > :56:29.have won the last six games. They're ringing -- and their winning run

:56:30. > :56:34.will continue. Nine tries and 50 points against France last week.

:56:35. > :56:41.Another bonus point tonight. Good work by Mitchell. Under pressure

:56:42. > :56:46.from Talbot-Davies. Zach Mercer. You feel that England can play better

:56:47. > :56:50.but maybe Ireland is going to be the sternest test now having put France

:56:51. > :56:55.and Wales away. I think these will be favourites for the championship

:56:56. > :57:02.now. Only one win last year for England. But they are back to

:57:03. > :57:04.winning ways this year. Again, a long, long advantage has been played

:57:05. > :57:21.by Frank Murphy. They are going to see the game out.

:57:22. > :57:23.Well, they have done their job and now they are just going to turn the

:57:24. > :57:36.knife at the end. So, the clock has turned red. And

:57:37. > :58:00.this will be the final action. He has got a kicking style like his

:58:01. > :58:06.dad. Can he round it off? James Grayson puts the icing on the kick

:58:07. > :58:14.for England. First I Wales have lost here for three seasons. Started

:58:15. > :58:16.brightly for Wales, they came back strongly and came back within a

:58:17. > :58:25.score but in the end, England were too strong for them. Four tries for

:58:26. > :58:29.England. They have a 100% record and Wales, after an excellent win in

:58:30. > :58:36.Italy last week, taste defeat at the hands of England. A lot to learn

:58:37. > :58:40.from that one. Yes, lots to learn but lots of positives as well. A

:58:41. > :58:45.strong England outfit and they put them under considerable pressure at

:58:46. > :58:49.the start of the game. You have to say, there is growth in this Welsh

:58:50. > :58:53.team. Jason Strange got it tactically right for long periods of

:58:54. > :58:58.the game but England were just too strong and too much depth and run

:58:59. > :59:02.out deserve it win is. Three tries at the end of the first half for

:59:03. > :59:05.England and they looked to run away with the game but Wales after being

:59:06. > :59:10.under pressure at the beginning of the second as well fought back hard

:59:11. > :59:16.and Chris Coleman 's try gave them hope. Ben Jones went for the penalty

:59:17. > :59:19.and I wonder if they will rue that decision because that allowed

:59:20. > :59:24.England back into the game and the vital try which followed immediately

:59:25. > :59:29.from Zach Mercer, the man of the match, really rounded things off for

:59:30. > :59:41.them and England were the winners in the end and that by 37-21 points.

:59:42. > :59:48.Wales were desperate to start strongly in the second half, but

:59:49. > :59:53.England's lead was extended early on by Jacob Umaga. The referee got

:59:54. > :59:57.heavily involved. Two yellows for England, the first, Harry Randall,

:59:58. > :00:01.tackling from an offside position, and Wales crashed over for their

:00:02. > :00:06.try, Christian Coleman. But that guy there, Zach Mercer, was an absolute

:00:07. > :00:10.menace for Wales all night. Capped his man of the match display with a

:00:11. > :00:15.deserved try, a bonus point try, and a deserved win for England and

:00:16. > :00:20.ultimately Wales had no answer for their power? Absolutely, Zach Mercer

:00:21. > :00:24.was fantastic. There were a number of other ball-carriers upfront who

:00:25. > :00:31.were great. Querrey in the back row performed very, very well, Langdon,

:00:32. > :00:34.who was yellow carded, carried exceptionally well. It was all about

:00:35. > :00:40.power. Wales almost came back into it but when you have big men coming

:00:41. > :00:46.into you all the time it's difficult to contain them. Zach Mercer is man

:00:47. > :00:50.of the match. He's with. Congratulations, your parent club

:00:51. > :00:55.will be proud of you. Looked dodgy in the first half. Were you worried?

:00:56. > :01:01.We were worried but we have a hell of an outfit. We have the skill set,

:01:02. > :01:05.we did want to focus on the first 20, it wasn't there today, but I'm

:01:06. > :01:08.proud of the last 60 minutes. Especially when Wales started coming

:01:09. > :01:14.back but we managed to produce the goods. You have been playing a lot

:01:15. > :01:18.for Bath's first team. How different is it playing at the Premiership

:01:19. > :01:22.level and then the under 20s? The other 20s are faster. They want to

:01:23. > :01:29.show what they can do. The Premiership, I'm an underdog. I do

:01:30. > :01:32.what I do. I've really enjoyed my Premiership and I love coming back

:01:33. > :01:39.to 20s. You've been playing a lot to Bath. What is Faletau like to be

:01:40. > :01:43.with? By play a lot with him, I'm really proud and happy that he's

:01:44. > :01:48.back from injury tomorrow and hopefully he doesn't play too well,

:01:49. > :01:54.but I'll be watching and learning. Wales or England tomorrow? England.

:01:55. > :01:59.Congratulations again. Thank you. Commiserations on the defeat, but

:02:00. > :02:05.couldn't fault the Welsh, particularly in the second-half when

:02:06. > :02:09.you came back. Yes, we started quite strong. We let it slip for the last

:02:10. > :02:14.20 minutes of the second-half. There was hope towards the end in a last

:02:15. > :02:21.20 minute period. A bit of a shame we scored a quick off the restart,

:02:22. > :02:25.the boys' had struck to bid. We fought all the way through. I can't

:02:26. > :02:29.fault the boys' effort. Everything went well but England were a better

:02:30. > :02:33.outfit. Well said. It's about the relevant and learning. What have you

:02:34. > :02:41.learned in particular from tonight? We are young squad and we learned

:02:42. > :02:44.that we have to play in a performance. We can't have a 20

:02:45. > :02:48.minute burst at the beginning of the game and expect to sail through the

:02:49. > :02:56.rest of the game. The intensity has to be there for 80 minutes. Weldon

:02:57. > :03:01.on the effort. Thanks. Plenty of spirit shown by the Welsh in the

:03:02. > :03:07.second half. Have you ever been colder? Oh, I don't think I have!

:03:08. > :03:10.Honest, well done. Zach Mercer was confident lad, spoke very well

:03:11. > :03:15.indeed. It slows a prize he is risen to through the ranks as quickly as

:03:16. > :03:21.has. -- it's no surprise he has risen through the ranks. He was

:03:22. > :03:31.irresistible at times. How much energy has he got! . He's a class

:03:32. > :03:36.act, he has raw power, tactical and technical now is. He knows what to

:03:37. > :03:39.do, when to do it, when to throw the flow door hold onto the ball as try

:03:40. > :03:42.to go through the next phase of contacts. Everything good that

:03:43. > :03:47.England created did tonight came through that man on your screen. He

:03:48. > :03:52.was absolutely superb. He thoroughly deserved his man of the match this

:03:53. > :03:55.evening. At times it was like watching a school game, where

:03:56. > :04:00.there's one kid so much bigger and better than the rest. He's been

:04:01. > :04:05.playing at a level much higher than under 20s, in the Premiership, and

:04:06. > :04:10.it showed at times tonight. It does and it shows that he can step up a

:04:11. > :04:14.level again. England have some very, very talented back row forwards.

:04:15. > :04:18.There's another one coming through. He played like a man against boys at

:04:19. > :04:23.times out there. He showed his real qualities. It's not just about his

:04:24. > :04:26.pace and power, it was about his understanding of the game, his

:04:27. > :04:31.ability to off-load under pressure, constantly go across the gain line

:04:32. > :04:34.and put it into space. We can see the Wales captain signing

:04:35. > :04:39.autographs. He spoke well as well and at one point in commentary,

:04:40. > :04:43.Ritchie said a Welsh player needs to step up and take the game by the

:04:44. > :04:45.scruff of the neck and almost in immediate response to that, Will

:04:46. > :04:50.Jones did that with key interventions. Yes, it was a poor

:04:51. > :04:54.line-out throw. This is at a time when England were comfortable. You

:04:55. > :04:58.want a man to lead from the front. You expect that from a captain and

:04:59. > :05:03.he did that. His ability to chase the ball down, to get Wales on the

:05:04. > :05:07.front foot, it ended up with Chris Coleman going across. It looked as

:05:08. > :05:10.if Wales were back in the game. It wasn't that long afterwards the gain

:05:11. > :05:17.England started to come back and it was a turnover ball by Will Jones.

:05:18. > :05:21.Fantastic work. Sam Warburton like in many ways, that gave them the

:05:22. > :05:24.opportunity for Wales to keep the pressure on. A young man with a

:05:25. > :05:30.bright future. Not the biggest of men, certainly in comparison to the

:05:31. > :05:37.opposition today, but he had plenty of guts and effort and lead by

:05:38. > :05:40.example. We heard him say to Phil how the other 20s is about

:05:41. > :05:44.development and developing players for the level above, but when you

:05:45. > :05:48.come in front of this Bogle, passionate crowd, they will have

:05:49. > :05:56.been disappointed to have lost tonight? Yes, they can take a lot of

:05:57. > :06:02.positives from it. The guys who came off the bench were good, they

:06:03. > :06:06.offered a carrying threat, a leadership played well throughout.

:06:07. > :06:11.Asked Ellis Shipp played well throughout. Wales are very young

:06:12. > :06:15.side and the first year in this two your progression. In two or three

:06:16. > :06:18.years' time, the more of these group of boys that we can get through

:06:19. > :06:23.playing regional and national rugby, the better for Wales in general.

:06:24. > :06:30.Ryan Conbeer are celebrated his 18th birthday on Sunday, is with Phil.

:06:31. > :06:33.I'm sure everyone at your rugby club will be proud of you. What was the

:06:34. > :06:40.difference between the opening 20 minutes and the period when England

:06:41. > :06:43.came back? I think we didn't really drop off, but they were very

:06:44. > :06:47.physical and as soon as they got the first score we were down a little

:06:48. > :06:51.bit. When we came out after the second half, we were lifted again

:06:52. > :06:57.and we were all together. What was said at half-time? Not much, just

:06:58. > :07:03.saying the first 20 minutes was really good, we dropped off a little

:07:04. > :07:09.bit but came out firing and gutted we got a loss. These games are about

:07:10. > :07:15.development and probably more so than the result. What can you take

:07:16. > :07:18.from this game, going to Scotland? We can take a lot, we can learn from

:07:19. > :07:23.what England have done to us, but we will come away, learn and go back to

:07:24. > :07:28.training next week and hopefully come out then the next game firing.

:07:29. > :07:34.Do you get to see the big game tomorrow? I will be in Cardiff, but

:07:35. > :07:40.I'll be watching, definitely. Good man. Cheers, thank you. Ryan

:07:41. > :07:43.Conbeer, Jason Strange, the other 20s coach has joined us.

:07:44. > :07:48.Commiserations, that was a powerful English side you were facing

:07:49. > :07:51.tonight? We knew we were up against strong opposition and after the

:07:52. > :07:57.first 20 minutes our intensity dropped a bit and their physicality

:07:58. > :08:03.got on top. Once they got speed of ball it was difficult to contain

:08:04. > :08:05.them. Full credit to the players. I thought the second half we managed

:08:06. > :08:11.to get quicker ball for ourselves and played some good stuff

:08:12. > :08:15.ourselves, 27-21 it was game on. Disappointed to concede our late

:08:16. > :08:21.try. Two purple patches. This first ten or 12 minutes when the kicking

:08:22. > :08:26.game was targeting the back three and in the second half, when England

:08:27. > :08:31.were camped in your half for the best part of 20 minutes, to score

:08:32. > :08:35.the try must have been pleasing? Yes, it was a tactic to try to

:08:36. > :08:38.isolate their wingers and it works really effectively in the first

:08:39. > :08:42.half, but our accuracy and kick chase fed them a bit too easily in

:08:43. > :08:47.the second half. When you have big, powerful wingers on the front foot,

:08:48. > :08:51.they were a good side. Zach Mercer was a wrecking ball today. He was a

:08:52. > :08:56.danger man. We highlighted him, I'm sure you did your homework on him as

:08:57. > :08:59.well. When they have a player in their ranks on irresistible form,

:09:00. > :09:07.how difficult is it to keep him Conte and? You can see already he's

:09:08. > :09:12.a special talent. He was the difference between the two sides. He

:09:13. > :09:17.had the X Factor. He's very skilful. For me, he was the difference in the

:09:18. > :09:21.two teams. Udderbelly blowing at the end, very impressive. The Grand

:09:22. > :09:27.Slams are out of the window this season but you are still in

:09:28. > :09:31.targeting defending your title? Very much, a young side, we are learning

:09:32. > :09:34.tonight and in difficult circumstances at times, they showed

:09:35. > :09:37.a lot of courage in the second half and we have a number of players to

:09:38. > :09:41.come back in to make the squad more competitive. We are looking forward

:09:42. > :09:47.to playing up in Scotland now. Best of luck with that, we appreciate

:09:48. > :09:51.your time. Thank you. Jason Strange, losing coach this evening. Pro12,

:09:52. > :09:57.the full round of fixtures this weekend, three Welsh regions in

:09:58. > :10:02.action. We can look at the Dragons' game, they have monster. This is one

:10:03. > :10:07.of the Munster tries. Over the line from close range there.

:10:08. > :10:21.One of several tries, we will update you on the score for that one. These

:10:22. > :10:29.are the scores overall. Ospreys went 10-0 down initially.

:10:30. > :10:39.These latest scores for Glasgow and Scarlets and Munster and Dragons.

:10:40. > :10:43.It's a losing cause for the Dragons in Munster. Munster currently top of

:10:44. > :10:47.the table. That will be one you will have been keeping an interest in

:10:48. > :10:51.from the commentary box as scores were updated. Dragons being your

:10:52. > :10:56.team. That was always a tough away trip at this time of year. Would no

:10:57. > :10:59.matter what time of year you go to Munster, they are missing eight

:11:00. > :11:05.Irish internationals but they get a full house there over in Ireland

:11:06. > :11:09.every week. They have the strength and depth that probably the Dragons

:11:10. > :11:13.haven't got at the moment. All we can do is keep building, keep

:11:14. > :11:17.learning, and hopefully keep getting better. Shall we talk about Wales

:11:18. > :11:22.and event tomorrow? We have a few minutes left. A pretty big game. You

:11:23. > :11:25.said earlier you for Eddie Jones was rattled and that's why he needs to

:11:26. > :11:34.keep chugging these bonds all week. What is it about the Wales side

:11:35. > :11:39.he'll be concerned most about? Having Alun Wyn Jones as captain,

:11:40. > :11:44.he's an inspirational he'll get more out of the players and some has in

:11:45. > :11:48.the past but -- than some has in the past. Sam is still a key component

:11:49. > :11:52.of Welsh success. Wales are side who when they are down bounce back. They

:11:53. > :11:56.have the ability to bounce back. They were poor in terms of

:11:57. > :11:58.performance during the autumn, but you could see signs in the second

:11:59. > :12:01.half certainly against Italy that they are starting to get back on

:12:02. > :12:08.their horse and making things happen. Wales are a very good side.

:12:09. > :12:12.You don't know when they are beaten and I think Eddie Jones, coming to

:12:13. > :12:16.Cardiff, England have struggled certainly in Cardiff for a number of

:12:17. > :12:21.years, is a little bit concerned. But it will be a tough battle. One

:12:22. > :12:26.area Wales seem to have an advantage as the back row. You look at the

:12:27. > :12:32.England back row, four test starts between them, the Welsh back row,

:12:33. > :12:37.130 caps between them, an advantage? It will be a huge battle tomorrow.

:12:38. > :12:44.They still have the weight and bulk have England, but we have the Gyle,

:12:45. > :12:48.the Justin Tipurics of the work Sam Warburton does defensively. We have

:12:49. > :12:51.the work Justin Tipuric does offensively. The mixture can

:12:52. > :13:01.hopefully work out tomorrow and become a success. Wales to win? Just

:13:02. > :13:08.about. I'll go for Wales. That's all we have time for at a freezing Parc

:13:09. > :13:11.Eirias at Colwyn Bay. These guys are looking forward to get indoors. It

:13:12. > :13:15.wasn't Wales' night. England brought too much power and pace to the

:13:16. > :13:20.party. It's the turn of the senior men's team and women's team

:13:21. > :13:24.tomorrow, that game is on live from 11:30am on BBC Wales. Let's hope

:13:25. > :13:25.Wales can do the business twice over tomorrow. We'll see you there. Good

:13:26. > :13:27.night.
