:00:18. > :00:27.As the play-off race enters the final Furlong, there was late drama

:00:28. > :00:32.at the Liberty. The Kingspan was lit up as the Blues did the Scarlets a

:00:33. > :00:36.massive favour. They took full advantage of a sun soaked Parc y

:00:37. > :00:43.Scarlets. It was painful in Parma, for the Dragons. To whom the season

:00:44. > :00:49.can't end soon enough. But back in the heart of Gwent... Who will put

:00:50. > :00:53.the icing on their Championship cake? And as winter turns to spring,

:00:54. > :01:04.Judgement Day approaches. Hello, good evening and welcome to

:01:05. > :01:08.the programme. It's been a scorching weekend. Our guests are never

:01:09. > :01:11.anything but calm, cool and collected. Former Wales

:01:12. > :01:16.international is Gwyn Jones and Nicky Robinson. We'll catch up with

:01:17. > :01:18.them. We'll start tonight with the league leaders' visit to the Liberty

:01:19. > :01:31.Stadium. Dan Biggar led the Ospreys out. His

:01:32. > :01:37.200th appearance in the Ospreys journey. At 27, he's the youngest to

:01:38. > :01:41.reach such a milestone, joining for -- four others.

:01:42. > :01:49.COMMENTATOR: Possession for Thornton. Rhys Webb.

:01:50. > :01:56.Matavesi, supporting on the inside is Cracknell. Ospreys moving the

:01:57. > :02:02.ball wide. Biggar transfers ball. It's a great try. What is caught for

:02:03. > :02:03.-- what a start for Sam Davies. A fabulous drive from the Ospreys,

:02:04. > :02:20.four minutes played here. Henshaw again,... He breaks inside,

:02:21. > :02:26.he's away. They won't catch on. Leinster are back in style, back in

:02:27. > :02:33.the game. A great solo effort from the hooker, Sean Cronin. What pace,

:02:34. > :02:37.from a hug. My goodness me, I don't think Dan Biggar will want to see

:02:38. > :02:45.film of that again tonight. Position from Ruddock, in the line. Joey

:02:46. > :02:52.Carbery, Zane Kirchner, like a knife through butter. The support comes

:02:53. > :02:56.from Cronin. He is collared, about five metres out. Leinster forwards

:02:57. > :03:03.arrive and again, they are pressing. Right at the heart of it is the

:03:04. > :03:18.winger, Rory O'Loughlin. The try has come, Dunleavy, the flanker, it is.

:03:19. > :03:26.Great from Tipuric. Webber is ready to release it. Still going forwards.

:03:27. > :03:30.Leavey, trying to come in from the side. Rhys Webb goes on his own,

:03:31. > :03:41.he's still going. He's only a metre short. Great attacking position. The

:03:42. > :03:51.ball is released. Inches short of the try. Try is on the card, I would

:03:52. > :03:55.think. A mass of bodies over the try line, Rhys Webb looking left. Which

:03:56. > :04:02.way will they go? Justin Tipuric, ready to release the ball. It's a

:04:03. > :04:11.try for the Ospreys. They are back in the game.

:04:12. > :04:20.Leinster still trying everything. They are almost up to the 22.

:04:21. > :04:26.McCarthy bleeding with referees at the ball is being held. Jean Alesi

:04:27. > :04:31.allows me to continue. -- the referee allows play to continue. The

:04:32. > :04:41.effort from outside the 22. He's got it It'll Be Alright On The Night --

:04:42. > :04:46.he's got it! Half a minute gone, over the 40. This will definitely be

:04:47. > :04:50.the last opportunity for them to get anything from it. We'll wait, I

:04:51. > :04:53.wonder, go for a drop ball themselves. Biggar and Sam Davies

:04:54. > :04:58.are in the right position. The forwards have been closer though. I

:04:59. > :05:07.think they realise what they've got to do. A little bit too far out at

:05:08. > :05:14.the moment, one suspects. Rhys Webb. A long pass. Biggar can't do it. Nor

:05:15. > :05:18.can Sam Davies. They try and regroup, possibly that was the last

:05:19. > :05:24.chance. So they try and run it. Dan Evans comes for attacking, was there

:05:25. > :05:29.a high tackle? There was, around the neck. Are we in for a dramatic

:05:30. > :05:33.finale to this game after all? There is a penalty against Leinster for

:05:34. > :05:40.the high tackle on Devon -- Dan Evans. 200th appearance for the

:05:41. > :05:45.side, can he win the game for the Ospreys?

:05:46. > :05:57.He's pulled it to the right, would you believe it! They lose at home to

:05:58. > :06:00.Leinster. STUDIO:

:06:01. > :06:02.So late drama at the Liberty Stadium yesterday.

:06:03. > :06:05.Scrum V's analysis man Sean Holley was there to witness the late drama.

:06:06. > :06:11.These were his thoughts on the final whistle.

:06:12. > :06:17.It was a frenetic game, nothing much between a two teams. I feel a bit

:06:18. > :06:21.sorry for the Ospreys and Dan Biggar, to have that on his

:06:22. > :06:24.shoulders, missed the kick to win the game at the end. Two tries

:06:25. > :06:28.apiece as a fair reflection. It's a shame one team to lose again.

:06:29. > :06:34.Leinster dominated the midsection of the game. It was enough for me, they

:06:35. > :06:38.were strong there. In one of Ross's first touches to score that drop

:06:39. > :06:42.goal and show the composure was probably the difference. I feel

:06:43. > :06:46.sorry for Daniel and the Ospreys really have it all to do now, if

:06:47. > :06:49.they are to get home semifinal in the Guinness Pro12 this year. They

:06:50. > :06:53.are up against it now if they are to get the home semifinal. A lot of the

:06:54. > :06:56.chat post-match and today is focusing on the final kick of the

:06:57. > :07:01.game. Dan Biggar admitted afterwards in an interview that he felt bit

:07:02. > :07:04.dazed for the final ten minutes. Whether that was the reason he

:07:05. > :07:09.missed the kick or not. It's an interesting talking point. He went

:07:10. > :07:15.on for the HIA, he was deemed fit to carry on. By his standards it was a

:07:16. > :07:20.rare wide miss for him. What do you make of this? Should he have taken

:07:21. > :07:24.that gig? Well, if he's passed the HIA, everyone assumed he hasn't had

:07:25. > :07:27.a concussion. Afterwards he said not only was he dazed, but he can't

:07:28. > :07:33.remember much of the last ten minutes. If so, he's got an episode

:07:34. > :07:37.of amnesia and therefore concussion by any definition. The medical team

:07:38. > :07:40.have done everything right. They've recognised the head injury, removed

:07:41. > :07:46.him and evaluated him and he passed the HIA. It shows more about how the

:07:47. > :07:51.test accuracy as opposed to anything else. There is no particularly

:07:52. > :07:55.strong evidence to say they recognise concussions. It's probably

:07:56. > :07:58.the best thing we've got. It's still imperfect. It may be that we are

:07:59. > :08:03.putting players back on the pitch who have had heard injuries but what

:08:04. > :08:07.else can we do? The evidence isn't there to do anything else. I don't

:08:08. > :08:13.apportion any blame. Dan Biggar must've thought he was OK, if he

:08:14. > :08:16.passed a HIA, so why wouldn't you take the cake? If you were in the

:08:17. > :08:19.position you were playing, if you are in possession of the kick and

:08:20. > :08:23.it's the kick to win the game, you want to step up and take it. You

:08:24. > :08:29.don't want to hand it to the guy you are competing with. Of course, and

:08:30. > :08:32.in your 200th game, that's what you practice for, you don't get many

:08:33. > :08:36.opportunities to win a match in the last kick of a game and it's on your

:08:37. > :08:39.shoulders to win it. Even if he wasn't 100%, he was still back

:08:40. > :08:45.himself to get that kick. It's his red zone, nine out of ten area for

:08:46. > :08:49.him and he had kicked that well throughout the day but that was a

:08:50. > :08:53.bad miss -- he hadn't kicked that well through the day. If their head

:08:54. > :08:57.injury affected him, that's disappointing, but there's not a

:08:58. > :09:01.chance he would give it to Sam Davies. Plenty of positives for the

:09:02. > :09:05.Ospreys, ultimately they lost the game at the death. There was enough

:09:06. > :09:13.in their performance prior to that to suggest they still are play-off

:09:14. > :09:16.contenders and title contenders? Maybe a lack of confidence off the

:09:17. > :09:22.back of two losses. They started the game well, hitting the ball flat.

:09:23. > :09:27.They get really quick ball and Biggar does well to flick it onto

:09:28. > :09:32.Baldwin, Baker. That the perfect start. Over the gain line. Took

:09:33. > :09:37.their opportunity. Second line-out, they planned this. Davies to ten and

:09:38. > :09:42.Biggar, so good in the air, chases and gets the ball back and from that

:09:43. > :09:45.they get three points they go 8-0 up. Leinster, for the middle chunk

:09:46. > :09:50.of the game, their defence was so good, well organised. They don't go

:09:51. > :09:54.for the ball here, Rhys Ruddock doesn't bother to go for the ball.

:09:55. > :10:01.The policy is to keep members on their feet and a tax when they can.

:10:02. > :10:07.Ospreys may be got out of it, Nasa reads the game well and chop them

:10:08. > :10:11.down. Possibly a bit snowball, half a second off it, Jack McGrath seizes

:10:12. > :10:15.the gap and straight on the ball and get the turnover. Leinster are quite

:10:16. > :10:20.happy, 8-0 down but they want to go from their own half. Really nice

:10:21. > :10:26.pass from Penshaw. ISA Nasa gets inside Giles and a bit of luck to

:10:27. > :10:30.get the ball back. They've conceded 60 metres. Is the first time may be

:10:31. > :10:36.to put them ball into the stands? They don't. They want an open game

:10:37. > :10:40.with ball in play. Three phases later they create an overlap. Dan

:10:41. > :10:45.Evans, playing on the wing, slightly out of position, jams in. Should he

:10:46. > :10:49.work with Lloyd Ashley and be a bit softer? Sam Davies out of position

:10:50. > :10:54.isn't soft. Jams in. Cronin with a night step off the right foot,

:10:55. > :10:57.really nonchalant, not even a smile as if he does it every days of the

:10:58. > :11:04.week. Hookers shouldn't be allowed to get away with that, should they?

:11:05. > :11:08.Sean Cronin is a fantastic player who has done that a lot and that's

:11:09. > :11:13.his strength, ball carrying. Congratulations to Leinster. A

:11:14. > :11:17.narrow victory at the death. They are favourite to get the top

:11:18. > :11:21.seeding, Munster right behind them, will be second favourites to get the

:11:22. > :11:22.second and crucial home semifinal. Yesterday, they took on Glasgow at

:11:23. > :11:38.Irish Independent Park. There was an away win at Scotstoun

:11:39. > :11:41.in December. They started brightly in this fourth in counter as well,

:11:42. > :11:48.with James Cronin crossing the whitewash early in the first half.

:11:49. > :11:52.They didn't have things all the way, with Glasgow enjoying long periods

:11:53. > :11:56.of possession in the Munster half. A chip and chase followed by a try

:11:57. > :12:01.gave the Warriors hope. A stout defence from the home side repelled

:12:02. > :12:02.any further attacks. They are on course for a home semifinal in the

:12:03. > :12:09.Pro12 as well as in Europe. Onto the Cardiff Blues then,

:12:10. > :12:11.and they headed to Belfast hoping for a rare win that would keep

:12:12. > :12:32.alive their hopes of COMMENTATOR:

:12:33. > :12:38.A lovely pass by Sean Reidy. Cuthbert with an important tackle.

:12:39. > :12:43.Hi, says the referee. This click is slotted through four Paddy Jackson.

:12:44. > :12:46.It's a beauty. What a great kick by Ruan Pienaar. Fabulous vision. Easy,

:12:47. > :12:55.well controlled by Paddy Jackson. They came quickly and defence to

:12:56. > :13:08.prevent the long cut. Matthew Rees breaks through the

:13:09. > :13:15.tackle, just short. Lloyd Williams, right up to the try line. Warburton.

:13:16. > :13:30.Ian Davis has a look and yes, the try has been awarded. O'Connor

:13:31. > :13:34.takes. Rory Best, so used to driving. The line-out is going ahead

:13:35. > :13:39.of him, a bit too quickly, they almost lost their feet. They've

:13:40. > :13:40.regained it, up to the try line and Davis goes into the sticks for a

:13:41. > :14:04.penalty try. And scum delays. That's a great try,

:14:05. > :14:12.so simple but so effective. The Blues are back ahead at the start of

:14:13. > :14:19.the second half. Finds James Down. Finds Nick Williams.

:14:20. > :14:28.Great bust, he's going to go all the way. Steps inside, it's the second

:14:29. > :14:37.for him, and that's a great individual score. Real pressure on

:14:38. > :14:40.the Blues now. Jackson back to Luke Marshall. Slips the tackle and Luke

:14:41. > :14:48.Marshall gets through with a try that could bring Ulster back level.

:14:49. > :14:52.I thought our midfield called them Maiza -- caused by major problems

:14:53. > :14:55.and we have to play that high-speed off-load game as possible and with

:14:56. > :14:58.that comes risk and the odd one that doesn't stick and go to hand, but on

:14:59. > :15:03.the whole I thought our attacking game tonight was superb. Credit to

:15:04. > :15:08.match it, our attack coach has done great work recently. It's paying

:15:09. > :15:12.off. How many thank you texts have you had from the Scarlets tonight?

:15:13. > :15:13.Nothing yet, but I'm sure I'll have a few.

:15:14. > :15:15.Great performance from the Cardiff Blues, and one

:15:16. > :15:17.which could so easily have ended in victory.

:15:18. > :15:20.There were a lot of hearts in mouths when we saw Sam Warburton limp

:15:21. > :15:26.But early indications suggest that there is nothing to be

:15:27. > :15:39.He is having a scan tomorrow. The expectation is that he might face a

:15:40. > :15:43.couple of weeks on the cyclone, which will rule them out of Judgment

:15:44. > :15:47.Day but not for the Lions tour. So we can breathe a huge sigh of

:15:48. > :15:52.relief. Absolutely. He has had a fantastic Six Nations. The Blues do

:15:53. > :15:58.not have much to play for, or guaranteed a play-off position. I

:15:59. > :16:03.think he will be the Lions captain. A couple of weeks where he doesn't

:16:04. > :16:06.pick up another bank is important. Nailed on captain? Yes. The bookies

:16:07. > :16:10.agree with you, and who wouldn't? As we heard Danny Wilson say

:16:11. > :16:12.himself, that Blues result did the Scarlets a massive favour

:16:13. > :16:18.by holding Ulster to a draw. If the Scarlets could muster a BP

:16:19. > :16:20.victory against Treviso, they'd have one foot

:16:21. > :16:28.in the play-offs. Ken Owens was the second Welshman

:16:29. > :16:31.this weekend to make a 200th appearance for his region,

:16:32. > :16:33.11 years after making his debut He led his team against a Treviso

:16:34. > :16:38.side flushed with confidence after their unexpected victory over

:16:39. > :16:48.the Ospreys a fortnight ago. COMMENTATOR: Barclay on the 22.

:16:49. > :17:09.Jones. A lovely show and go. That is the

:17:10. > :17:15.first try for Van der Merwe. Steffan Evans is off on one. He should be

:17:16. > :17:26.able to get a try. The referee has given the try. Dermot nickel, Wilkie

:17:27. > :17:30.open up to the fullback? -- will he. He manages to get a miracle passed

:17:31. > :17:44.away somehow. Could this be the third try for the Scarlets?

:17:45. > :17:56.Taken by John Barclay at the back. And now we go to the caveman stuff.

:17:57. > :18:10.It is the skipper, by the look of it. The skipper gets the bonus point

:18:11. > :18:18.try on his 200th appearance. That's the 22 of scholars. And the

:18:19. > :18:34.chance. It is Steffan Evans again. There he goes. How easy was that?

:18:35. > :18:50.Exhibition stuff in the first half at times by the scholars. And that's

:18:51. > :18:57.a beautiful try and stop Tom Price. -- a beautiful try by Tom Price.

:18:58. > :19:06.Take from McKinley. It is deemed dropped. It is an easy one for

:19:07. > :19:11.Treviso. Here we go, Alan Davies, two passes should do it. Opening the

:19:12. > :19:34.back door to Van der Merwe. This is unopposed. This is training

:19:35. > :19:42.ground rugby. He finally scores at the posts. We did talk about it, it

:19:43. > :19:46.has been a long time since we have done something like that, so please

:19:47. > :19:50.do have got there, and some good results this weekend so it has been

:19:51. > :19:55.predicted. But Ospreys match at the end of the season, it could be very

:19:56. > :20:01.important. Yes, it could be a quarterfinal sort of game. A lot to

:20:02. > :20:04.play for, for both sides. But we're trying to keep that in the back of

:20:05. > :20:13.our minds and focus on the Dragons. Then we will worry about the Ospreys

:20:14. > :20:18.after them. Glasgow's defeat puts down 11 points

:20:19. > :20:23.adrift of the play-offs. Ospreys, Scarlets and holster are in a 3-way

:20:24. > :20:29.fight for third and fourth. They could yet come down to a sensational

:20:30. > :20:33.West Wales shoot out on the last weekend of the regular season.

:20:34. > :20:42.The scholars would have been wary, but they needn't have been. --

:20:43. > :20:46.scholars. That is one thing Ospreys did not do in Treviso. Treviso are

:20:47. > :20:52.very different, home and away. Scarlets were very clinical and

:20:53. > :20:58.probably the only minor blip was Dan Jones's kicking. He was so good, 21

:20:59. > :21:03.in a row, had a bit of an off day. But they were so good. James Davies

:21:04. > :21:08.struggled to find his place in the team, he is now flying. I was

:21:09. > :21:12.watching him at Glasgow a few weeks ago and his ability over the ball is

:21:13. > :21:15.so good. And the game we saw last night, his open play and how well he

:21:16. > :21:24.reads the game, and such a natural footballer. He was exceptional. When

:21:25. > :21:29.you have the Olympics, Warburton, he is as good as anyone in Wales over

:21:30. > :21:34.the ball. He has low to the ground, gets good body position. What sets

:21:35. > :21:41.him apart from the others is his ability in attack. You could play

:21:42. > :21:49.centre, like to correct, we saw plenty of that. -- like to correct.

:21:50. > :21:53.And the ability to put Steffan Evans over. He is really a contender.

:21:54. > :21:56.Steffan Evans, there have been a lot of good runners on that pitch last

:21:57. > :22:09.night. But I do not think anyone stood up quite as much as Steffan

:22:10. > :22:11.Evans, who is so full of confidence. His

:22:12. > :22:16.confidence is coming through. People have been doubtful about his

:22:17. > :22:20.defence. It is difficult to judge all aspects of the game against a

:22:21. > :22:25.Treviso side who were just awful at times last night. But he does look

:22:26. > :22:32.to be growing as a winger. The two of them, real shining stars last

:22:33. > :22:36.night. Do both of those on the Wales summer tour? I they would have to

:22:37. > :22:40.be. Steffan Evans could have played during the Six Nations at times but

:22:41. > :22:43.he is continuing to play well so I think those are once you definitely

:22:44. > :22:47.need to see at a high level and this would be a great opportunity to see

:22:48. > :22:52.them. Some great performances in the Scarlets. In the Blues game, going

:22:53. > :22:56.back to that one on Friday night against Ulster, it was the midfield

:22:57. > :23:04.that Danny Wilson referenced. The guys you played alongside, the court

:23:05. > :23:10.also all sorts of problems. The last three games we have played against

:23:11. > :23:13.Gloucester and narrowly losing to Leinster, but some good performances

:23:14. > :23:17.together and disappointed we didn't get the win over Ulster. But when it

:23:18. > :23:21.is a dry night and we get some good balls, they are so hard to defend. I

:23:22. > :23:26.do not think they know what is going to happen. Those two as abolishing

:23:27. > :23:33.did well. The character they showed, the injuries in the first half, they

:23:34. > :23:38.all went off and managed to come on. They did a really good job. To go

:23:39. > :23:43.somewhere like the Kingspan and get a draw just shows real character. We

:23:44. > :23:50.shall have a lot to play for. Is it true that Lilo doesn't do his laces

:23:51. > :23:56.up. Team meetings are interesting with him in them! The other end of

:23:57. > :24:00.the scale, Gethin Jenkins making his second game after that injury

:24:01. > :24:05.lay-off. Looking pretty much like the Gethin Jenkins we know and love.

:24:06. > :24:09.He has spoken about wanting to add to his tally of caps but there are

:24:10. > :24:13.some who think he will go on the Lions tour. I think he will struggle

:24:14. > :24:18.to get on the Lions tour. He is a fantastic player and he is playing

:24:19. > :24:22.well again but there are some concerns he has displayed a very

:24:23. > :24:27.conservative Six Nations. There are other players who are probably ahead

:24:28. > :24:31.of him. He did have a very good autumn season so it it is not

:24:32. > :24:36.without a chance. Could he be captain? I think the others are

:24:37. > :24:42.ahead of him at the moment. I would not be surprised if he went because

:24:43. > :24:48.of his experience. I would not take into the roster I would say if we're

:24:49. > :24:52.going to play for Wales in the future or be a finisher or starter,

:24:53. > :24:56.I think perhaps just not being part of this too and let the others come

:24:57. > :25:00.through. The 19th of April is the day the Lions squad is announced,

:25:01. > :25:03.creeping ever closer. We will find hard than whether he makes the cut.

:25:04. > :25:04.Anyway. The Dragons were on the road

:25:05. > :25:07.in Parma this weekend. And were hoping for a first win

:25:08. > :25:26.on the road in a year. Good early pressure from Dragons.

:25:27. > :25:32.Davies again. Little snipe from the scrum-half. Cory Hill. Gets a second

:25:33. > :25:43.goal, Cory Hill is over. A real rumble. Wagons with a

:25:44. > :26:03.crumble. -- Dragons. They are putting the

:26:04. > :26:11.pressure on again. A little chip and neck. Nice work from the flanker.

:26:12. > :26:28.Davies. The hand takes them to the tragedy.

:26:29. > :26:34.Five metres to go, Dragons. His 100th start for the Dragons, Aduriz.

:26:35. > :26:42.The Dragons have been burgled. They were fancying it.

:26:43. > :27:09.Lovely hands. Beautiful pass. Could this be the bonus point for a Zebre?

:27:10. > :27:16.So, the misery continues for the Dragons. A year-long drought on the

:27:17. > :27:29.road. Now just two points ahead of Zebre, who have leapfrogged Treviso.

:27:30. > :27:32.If things stay as they are, seventh and eighth, both of them will play

:27:33. > :27:41.off against inclusion in sight for the 20th Champions Cup spot.

:27:42. > :27:44.The Dragons, we have said this so many times this season, spoken about

:27:45. > :27:51.their plight in the misery they are suffering. I guess this is just a

:27:52. > :27:59.new low. The trouble is, this is not a new position for Dragons to be in.

:28:00. > :28:02.It is the same season after season. They do not know where their future

:28:03. > :28:08.lies. It has been great uncertainty and anxiety generally. They are

:28:09. > :28:13.really in trouble. But not just all season, it is season after season.

:28:14. > :28:16.Something has got to change. A-lister was the decisions along the

:28:17. > :28:23.line we will just keep having the same conversation every season. --

:28:24. > :28:29.unless there is. We will be waiting with baited breath to see what

:28:30. > :28:31.happens, but next week, Scrum V comes from the Principality Stadium.

:28:32. > :28:34.And if the previous occasions have been anything to go by,

:28:35. > :28:47.Judgment Day has finally come to Welsh rugby. That was so well

:28:48. > :29:02.worked. It's their! Dan Biggar, all the way! Underneath

:29:03. > :30:11.the post, Scott Williams. He tries to sneak into the corner.

:30:12. > :30:38.Rhys Webb makes absolutely sure. STUDIO:

:30:39. > :30:42.It's nearly here. It all starts on television at 2:30pm. Stick around

:30:43. > :30:57.for the second act. The Blues and Ospreys, a month ago

:30:58. > :31:01.ago you'd have thought that game would be for conclusion but given

:31:02. > :31:07.how fragile the recent performance of the Ospreys, the Blues have to

:31:08. > :31:13.fancy their chances? Possibly they were unlucky yesterday, they know

:31:14. > :31:18.where they are. They were definitely looking at a top two position. Now,

:31:19. > :31:22.they will do well to be in the top four. A massive running for them.

:31:23. > :31:27.They have a few tough games as well. The Blues chasing, making sure they

:31:28. > :31:30.stay in that position for Europe and a bit of confidence building towards

:31:31. > :31:34.what will be the play-off matches at the end of the season. The other

:31:35. > :31:38.game, you'll be commentating on that one, Dragons against the Scarlets.

:31:39. > :31:43.We talk about the Ospreys' confidence being fragile, the

:31:44. > :31:48.Dragons' rock bottom. You can only see one winner, can't you? You can,

:31:49. > :31:54.Welsh derbies macro are tight games but you would be surprised if the

:31:55. > :31:57.Scarlets don't start well and open the game up and they will be

:31:58. > :32:01.difficult to stop. That's what they will be looking to do. It's what

:32:02. > :32:05.they did Jim Treviso, high-risk, high reward, from anywhere in the

:32:06. > :32:13.pitch you can back their runners. Indeed, 50,000 tickets sold for the

:32:14. > :32:14.principality, make sure they -- you get yours because they are expecting

:32:15. > :32:29.a sell-out. Aber Raven gave their play-off hopes

:32:30. > :32:35.a boost with victory over Pontypridd. Five tries for the home

:32:36. > :32:38.a hat-trick for Ospreys academy star winger Jay Baker. This is third,

:32:39. > :32:44.making it a to remember for the rampant wizards.

:32:45. > :32:51.Bed us move up to second after a bonus point win against Llandovery,

:32:52. > :32:56.that's fourth win in five matches. A late burst of tries for the home

:32:57. > :33:00.side to secure the victory, three in all, second row Joy Davis with the

:33:01. > :33:07.last of the lot. Mercer had to battle hard for their bonus point

:33:08. > :33:19.win against Harlequins. The final try of the 18th, -- wins.

:33:20. > :33:23.The replacement Rhys Williams securing the win here. Ideal

:33:24. > :33:26.preparation for the National cup final next weekend. The ironmen

:33:27. > :33:39.stayed top. On dear two. 14 men Bridgend boosted

:33:40. > :33:46.their chances of a play-off place with a tense victory over old rivals

:33:47. > :33:54.Cardiff. The blue and Blacks yet to get a win since the split. Crosskeys

:33:55. > :34:02.is their 100% record come to an end after a rampant display. There were

:34:03. > :34:09.eight converted tries. 19 points from the Teever one full-back.

:34:10. > :34:15.Newport do remain unbeaten in tiered two, they brushed aside struggling

:34:16. > :34:21.Swansea in a somewhat bad-tempered encounter. A bonus point win, the

:34:22. > :34:32.first of four tries in three minutes. There was an nitride bonus

:34:33. > :34:38.win for Llanelli at Parc y Scarlets. -- eight point bonus

:34:39. > :34:42.Yesterday I enjoyed the sunshine and hospitality at Pontypool RFC,

:34:43. > :34:47.Pooler had already wrapped up the Championship title last week.

:34:48. > :34:50.But the trophy was being presented yesterday, so they were desperate

:34:51. > :34:56.for another win in front of their faithful followers.

:34:57. > :35:02.Pontypool Park looks uninviting place in the spring sunshine. But

:35:03. > :35:10.for visiting sides during the glory days of the 70s and 80s it was an

:35:11. > :35:14.intimidating arena. It was basically law of the Jungle. That was what was

:35:15. > :35:19.impressed on me when I was a young 18-year-old kid. They were feared

:35:20. > :35:23.opposition. It was great to see a club with that was their philosophy.

:35:24. > :35:28.You couldn't move away from that and they were successful as a result of

:35:29. > :35:31.it. It's something they believed in. Great memories. Since then the

:35:32. > :35:35.famous club has suffered mixed fortunes. Five years ago it stood on

:35:36. > :35:39.the brink of oblivion, before a generous businessman came to the

:35:40. > :35:43.rescue. I came along and wrote a cheque to bail the club out. It's a

:35:44. > :35:47.club I've followed since I was a child. I thought that would be the

:35:48. > :35:53.end of it. I would write the check and leave them to get on with it.

:35:54. > :35:55.But it became apparent the infrastructure wasn't there in the

:35:56. > :35:56.club to move in the professional era and that's when we got more

:35:57. > :36:05.involved. Today, we're hoping to have well

:36:06. > :36:10.over 1000 people here, celebrating what we and the team have achieved.

:36:11. > :36:15.There's a lot going on off the field but on it, they have to deliver.

:36:16. > :36:20.It's interesting to see how you can take something that is a shell of

:36:21. > :36:24.itself and reinvigorated. Despite having won the Championship with

:36:25. > :36:28.three games to spare their will be no Premiership promised land,

:36:29. > :36:32.because the tier above has been ring-fenced for three seasons. A

:36:33. > :36:36.source of continued frustration. Is a rugby fan you want to see the

:36:37. > :36:43.element of jeopardy. It's why football works so well. It's a

:36:44. > :36:46.simple structure. If you are not good enough, you go down, if you are

:36:47. > :36:51.good enough, you go up. We will be knocking on doors, trying to prove

:36:52. > :36:54.ourselves. The fact it is ring-fenced for three years is a

:36:55. > :36:58.little bit annoying. The players worked hard. They clearly get the

:36:59. > :37:04.wings. It will be good for the supporters, if they did get up. Is

:37:05. > :37:07.it something that is under review? At the end of every season there is

:37:08. > :37:11.a review but whether people are prepared to put their hands up, at

:37:12. > :37:14.the end of the day the clubs at the time voted for ring fencing. That

:37:15. > :37:19.was the decision made by clubs at the time. You can't keep moving the

:37:20. > :37:22.goalposts. That was the plan for three or four years, so unless

:37:23. > :37:27.there's a strong demand and agreement, if actually broken, I

:37:28. > :37:33.suspect it will carry on for another couple of years or so. Bulot's

:37:34. > :37:36.Triumph has come at a time when professional rugby in Gwent is

:37:37. > :37:41.facing an uncertain future. Next month the shareholders of Newport

:37:42. > :37:45.RFC will vote on whether to accept the WRU's offer to buy Rodney

:37:46. > :37:50.Parade. If it's a no, the future of the Dragons looks the carriers. All

:37:51. > :37:57.we've done is put an offer on the table that we think will enable

:37:58. > :37:59.professional rugby to continue in Gwent and indeed for

:38:00. > :38:04.semiprofessional rugby to continue in Newport. People claim it's some

:38:05. > :38:07.sort of grand plan by the union, I can assure you, it's not. We don't

:38:08. > :38:12.want to be purchasing property. That's not why we are in business.

:38:13. > :38:15.Our businesses to develop and to promote the game. I have to be

:38:16. > :38:19.honest, I think the Dragons has proved its been a failed

:38:20. > :38:24.organisation. There no consequence whether the Dragons goes tomorrow.

:38:25. > :38:29.We'd be more sad if Newport went. Had historically rate rivalries with

:38:30. > :38:34.them and we love the opportunity to go to the Premiership and continue

:38:35. > :38:38.that. We thought it would be a foregone conclusion but it's turning

:38:39. > :38:46.into quite a game. Quite a game, good for them. I like Tata Steel. I

:38:47. > :38:50.knew them all, pricey, all them, Faulkner, I knew them all. We

:38:51. > :38:54.couldn't ask for anything more today. An excellent game. I'm really

:38:55. > :39:00.enjoying it and it's really nice seeing so many people here today. We

:39:01. > :39:04.haven't had a crowd like this for decades, I would say. We are always

:39:05. > :39:08.one of the best supported clubs when we were in the Premier division and

:39:09. > :39:14.now, we get a regular support better than most of the Premier division

:39:15. > :39:21.clubs do. But I suppose this is a measure of the feeling for the club

:39:22. > :39:25.in this area. Its huge history. Everyone puts the shirt on today and

:39:26. > :39:29.knows the history of the club, knows the boys that came before them and

:39:30. > :39:31.we work hard for each other. It's a shame we are the Championship but we

:39:32. > :39:33.have to keep plugging away and hopefully we will be back on top,

:39:34. > :39:43.back where we should be. Moving like lightning to get out of

:39:44. > :39:47.via the champagne. Many congratulations to Ben Parry and his

:39:48. > :39:52.team. Wonderful hospitality at Pontypool, apart from they tell me

:39:53. > :39:56.you look fat on the telly, thanks for that. We have a flavour of the

:39:57. > :40:01.sentiment from the guys in the crowd. Very proud of their team,

:40:02. > :40:03.delighted to be crowned champions, runaway leaders, but a palpable

:40:04. > :40:07.sense of frustration that they will be bouncing against the glass

:40:08. > :40:12.ceiling for another two seasons. Do you have any sympathy for their

:40:13. > :40:15.frustrations? Congratulations to them and they are unimportant part

:40:16. > :40:22.of the local community and they are huge part of Welsh rugby's heritage

:40:23. > :40:25.and mythology in the 70s, but I'm an unapologetic elitist when it comes

:40:26. > :40:31.to professional rugby. I think the ring fencing is important. I think

:40:32. > :40:34.the teams should be reflected glory or success in the players they

:40:35. > :40:37.develop to go on and represent Wales, rather than the ambitions of

:40:38. > :40:41.the clubs seeking to travel through the leagues. We've seen it with

:40:42. > :40:44.teams like Dunvant going up and down. A lot of money spent on

:40:45. > :40:49.players which have come from other areas. That's what would happen if

:40:50. > :40:54.they went up, they would have to buy new talent, same players and money

:40:55. > :41:00.from different sources. Develop the players and let them go on for the

:41:01. > :41:04.community. They have another two years, the same thing could happen

:41:05. > :41:08.in the next two seasons, they could run away with it and not go up. It's

:41:09. > :41:11.keeping the nucleus of players together because some will want to

:41:12. > :41:15.go to the next tier, and if they can't do it for Pontypool, they will

:41:16. > :41:19.do it for another club. They have to build togetherness and team spirit

:41:20. > :41:22.so they know what their plan is. Possibly a bit of treading water but

:41:23. > :41:28.keep building, so ring-fenced finishes they are ready to step up

:41:29. > :41:32.and whether that is recruiting other players in the Championship, when

:41:33. > :41:36.others go down, they have to recruit players knowing they will go up. If

:41:37. > :41:39.they keep performing as they have done, that is almost guaranteed for

:41:40. > :41:43.them. So they can plan properly to be in the Premiership when the

:41:44. > :41:50.ring-fenced in the -- ring fencing finishes. I think we got a flavour

:41:51. > :41:55.of your colours to the mast. Blues. Obviously. A bonus point win for the

:41:56. > :41:59.Scarlets? I can't see anything else. Join us next Saturday

:42:00. > :42:09.for Judgement Day V. It's Blues against Ospreys and the

:42:10. > :42:13.Dragons against Scarlets. Make sure you join us. Make sure you get a

:42:14. > :42:18.ticket and go along to the stadium itself. It will be a corker. The

:42:19. > :42:26.main event is six days away but the battle for bragging rights has

:42:27. > :42:33.already begun. Good night. Isner Judgement Day challenge,

:42:34. > :42:35.downright daftness. Blues against the Ospreys, Warburton against

:42:36. > :42:42.Biggar and already Warburton has given it the big one. Here goes

:42:43. > :42:47.Biggar, one point east -- each person Skrtel, two grubber kicks

:42:48. > :42:53.allowed. Up to nine. Taking out the facilities. The bin cam has gone.

:42:54. > :42:58.That's 20 grams worth of equipment that. Terrific stuff from Biggar.

:42:59. > :43:05.He's up to 29. The gallery are loving it. 49. The crowd has gone

:43:06. > :43:10.wild for Dan Biggar. I go for the ten all the time, try to get a bit

:43:11. > :43:14.of height and gives it a chance to bouncing. How will Warburton

:43:15. > :43:19.respond? Here he goes. A good start, with eight on the skittles. Onto the

:43:20. > :43:26.passing. He's about as accurate as a builder's estimate will stop Sam

:43:27. > :43:31.Warburton and his header has gone, he's broken the rules. He's not

:43:32. > :43:39.allowed to kick again. His head is in the shed. Warburton has lost it,

:43:40. > :43:45.big-time. It's not really a tackle, I knew I would be struggling. It's a

:43:46. > :43:46.40 point win for Biggar. More on social media. Winners to be crowned

:43:47. > :43:49.on Saturday.
