0:00:08 > 0:00:12Good evening, tonight we are coming at you live from the home of the
0:00:12 > 0:00:17Cockrell is otherwise known as Croesyceiliog RFC. The clubhouses
0:00:17 > 0:00:22packed and we have been promised a warm welcome so let's get inside.
0:00:45 > 0:00:50The high-flying Scarlets.
0:00:50 > 0:00:53The high-flying Scarlets. Warren Gatland has mixed it up ahead of the
0:00:53 > 0:00:59autumn with the bold is squad selection and we find it what
0:00:59 > 0:01:08happens when Gavin met Jonathan.Did you ever see me play?I did. Not
0:01:08 > 0:01:14even any mud on him, look at him! CHEERING
0:01:14 > 0:01:19APPLAUSE Hello and welcome. We are deep in
0:01:19 > 0:01:24the heart of the Dragons region, we have an all-star cast this evening,
0:01:24 > 0:01:34which hands together for Sean Holley. Eddie Butler! And Welsh
0:01:34 > 0:01:39international Alan Amos! And over there a number of his Dragons
0:01:39 > 0:01:42colleagues are here as well.
0:01:46 > 0:01:50Lots of guests, lots to get through tonight on another jam-packed
0:01:50 > 0:01:57programme but we will start with the rough guide to Croesyceiliog.
0:01:57 > 0:02:02Croesyceiliog is Welsh for Cockrell 's cross. I wonder who ruffled his
0:02:02 > 0:02:05feathers. The third features on the club crest and gives the team their
0:02:05 > 0:02:14name. By the ground is a pub where back in 1839 Willian Jones and his
0:02:14 > 0:02:17Eastern Valley chartist stopped to dry gunpowder on the march to...
0:02:17 > 0:02:26INAUDIBLE
0:02:32 > 0:02:39The most famous son was Frank Clive Burgess. He went on to play and win
0:02:39 > 0:02:46nine Welsh caps. He was also known as the steal claw and on the rare
0:02:46 > 0:02:56occasion he went then entered it is said they turned to a welder rather
0:02:56 > 0:03:05than a surgeon. Finally, anorak on one of EU funds of 80s music... Did
0:03:05 > 0:03:14you know the front went to Croesyceiliog school so too did Adam
0:03:14 > 0:03:19Hughes and David buttress but they were not in that band.
0:03:25 > 0:03:28CHEERING APPLAUSE
0:03:28 > 0:03:31Can always rely members
0:03:34 > 0:03:37let's remind ourselves what happened on Friday night when these guys took
0:03:37 > 0:03:39on Ospreys.
0:03:46 > 0:04:03COMMENTATOR: Back to Dan Biggar. Watkin. Again...
0:04:26 > 0:04:32Slow ball, space outside, trying to run it out, eventually got the ball
0:04:32 > 0:04:55down. Thomas sets it up, tries to borrow over himself.
0:04:57 > 0:05:05Still within centimetres, now the captain, to Leon Brown. Uses all his
0:05:05 > 0:05:14bulk and gets over. What a reply from the Dragons. Here they go deep
0:05:14 > 0:05:28into Dragons territory. Turn the ball over, Alun Wyn Jones, Dan
0:05:28 > 0:05:32Biggar, they work it clear.
0:05:37 > 0:05:44Cory Hill...
0:05:44 > 0:05:48Cory Hill...
0:05:59 > 0:06:07Look how close it is, I think it's on the line.I think that to try.It
0:06:07 > 0:06:19is, he gets the scorer. Alun Wyn Jones winning it. Now is the
0:06:19 > 0:06:24touchline is approaching, stays on his feet very well indeed. Has the
0:06:24 > 0:06:33experience. Now the forwards gather around and they plough over and it's
0:06:33 > 0:06:37Brendan line and I think who is right in the middle. Amongst all the
0:06:37 > 0:06:40big men it's the scrum-half who claims it.
0:06:46 > 0:06:48Cannot quite reach out.
0:06:52 > 0:06:58As it was the first half, relentless from Ospreys. Dan Biggar. Runs into
0:06:58 > 0:07:02Henson who stands his ground with the help of Jack Brooks on. Must be
0:07:02 > 0:07:07gaps wages feel. Tries to go route one.
0:07:22 > 0:07:26Over last couple of weeks but it was very important we got that win and
0:07:26 > 0:07:32luckily we got a bonus point to its pleasing.I thought we were really
0:07:32 > 0:07:37brave, I admire the players, I think our fitness is getting better,
0:07:37 > 0:07:41players out with injury but Ospreys are very good side and deserved to
0:07:41 > 0:07:46win but I think we are showing of progress.Apologies we seem to be
0:07:46 > 0:07:49having some trouble with our pictures tonight,
0:07:49 > 0:07:50having some trouble with our pictures tonight, hope it's not
0:07:50 > 0:07:56ruining your enjoyment of the programme. Commiserations on the
0:07:56 > 0:08:01defeat, 28-14, on a personal level in front of watching Warren Gatland,
0:08:01 > 0:08:04and 89 metres, looking dangerous at full-back, you made twice as many
0:08:04 > 0:08:11metres as anyone the pitch. It is easy from full-back, easy metres
0:08:11 > 0:08:16when you catch kick. It was a tough game, they have experienced
0:08:16 > 0:08:19campaigners, Dan Biggar ran the show and Alun Wyn Jones had a great game.
0:08:19 > 0:08:23We just need to start turning defeat into victories.
0:08:37 > 0:08:41Get close to the line using the big forward carriers like the Ospreys
0:08:41 > 0:08:48and Dragons, here we have a ball carrying forward, the ladies of
0:08:48 > 0:08:52Croesyceiliog RFC, person on the outside to create two versus one,
0:08:52 > 0:08:57extra momentum to the rushed across the line. If they don't get to the
0:08:57 > 0:09:00line and there is defensive about this clean out the person will
0:09:00 > 0:09:06literally try to tackle past the ruck. To the ground, creating a
0:09:06 > 0:09:10long, clean which makes it very difficult for the defence to fold
0:09:10 > 0:09:14round. With such close attack or defence gets really close to the
0:09:14 > 0:09:18ruck and sometimes we don't have a scrum-half, here he is caught up so
0:09:18 > 0:09:23the forward comes in. This time has a ball carrier, Becky becomes the
0:09:23 > 0:09:31latch. She latches on creating the mismatch and two on one again. Some
0:09:31 > 0:09:36of the smarter teams like Scarlets now that the defence gets close to
0:09:36 > 0:09:40the ruck, condense the space on the outside. They use the likes of
0:09:40 > 0:09:44Hadleigh Parkes Scott Williams, the three forwards look like...
0:09:58 > 0:10:05Close to the line to score in the 22.You were in the commentary box
0:10:05 > 0:10:09on Friday night, some of the stuff you picked up on, you said at the
0:10:09 > 0:10:13time, Ospreys will be happy to bring to an end the seven-game losing
0:10:13 > 0:10:18sequence and the won handsomely on the night, still a lot to work on.
0:10:18 > 0:10:23They are not playing well, we should bat with the ladies. Even close to
0:10:23 > 0:10:27the line they struggled with the organisation. Playing in one mac and
0:10:27 > 0:10:32two, they do not seem to know or have a plan, not just close to the
0:10:32 > 0:10:37line but the deep attack as well. Got over the line four times but
0:10:37 > 0:10:43other things contributed. I still think they have a long way to go.In
0:10:43 > 0:10:47terms of the Dragons, a day, your home region, it's been a bit of
0:10:47 > 0:10:54late. -- it's been a bit of a revolution of late.
0:11:06 > 0:11:15Desperate for a result, not caring about the performance. The Dragons.
0:11:15 > 0:11:20It will not last that long, it's -based injury but as but as long as
0:11:20 > 0:11:27the tempo increases, the awareness of players and what they are doing,
0:11:27 > 0:11:32so far the signs are really encouraging. Has it changed
0:11:32 > 0:11:34noticeably for you, you have been never a good few years, do things
0:11:34 > 0:11:41feel differently?Burner has come in and related his mark on things. He's
0:11:41 > 0:11:46very disciplined and knows what he wants. There are a lot of young
0:11:46 > 0:11:50players at the club, as you see with the boys here, we are all quite
0:11:50 > 0:11:55young, having Sunday like Bernard Pierce, the likes of Gavin coming
0:11:55 > 0:11:59in, it's been really good, you can see the change in atmosphere. One
0:11:59 > 0:12:03thing which struck us all watching the game was the number of tackles
0:12:03 > 0:12:08you had to make, somewhere in the 260, a lot of which made in that
0:12:08 > 0:12:14first 20, 30 minutes. Making that many tackles and defending that hard
0:12:14 > 0:12:19you going to get tired.Yeah, I kind of stand back and don't make many
0:12:19 > 0:12:24myself but the board that in a hell of a shift. To make 100 tackles is a
0:12:24 > 0:12:28bit obscene in that amount of time. Things will break down towards the
0:12:28 > 0:12:33end but I thought the effort they showed was amazing.Going back to
0:12:33 > 0:12:37Ospreys, what is it specifically about their attack at the moment
0:12:37 > 0:12:42which is failing to spark? They have a lot of possession but struggled to
0:12:42 > 0:12:48score. Yesterday got four, a lot of possession and phases but lacking
0:12:48 > 0:12:51ball-carriers. Even close to the line, they have the latch we were
0:12:51 > 0:12:55describing, they do not seem to have a plan, they are using brute force
0:12:55 > 0:13:02and eventually muscling over after many phases. But most of the good
0:13:02 > 0:13:07teams will have a structure. There are signs, they have got carriers
0:13:07 > 0:13:12outside, Dan Biggar, Olly Cracknell. They change the picture, short side,
0:13:12 > 0:13:16good angle and they get in behind. This allows them to form some
0:13:16 > 0:13:22attack. They don't often get two centres together. When they do deal
0:13:22 > 0:13:27with dangerous. This manifested itself in a bit more space on the
0:13:27 > 0:13:34outside for that OOglies. Generally they struggled. -- that a try.
0:13:34 > 0:13:38Cracknell carries more than any other Ospreys player but there is
0:13:38 > 0:13:43nothing outside Dan Biggar. It's Nicky Smith, all but one note and
0:13:43 > 0:13:48note and individual and frankly easy to defend. Again the principal
0:13:48 > 0:13:48ball-carrier,
0:13:48 > 0:13:49to defend. Again the principal ball-carrier, not the balance of
0:13:49 > 0:13:54carriers, when they come to attacking on the 20 to look at the
0:13:54 > 0:13:56left Dan Evans, only two Baxter strike, nobody
0:13:56 > 0:13:59left Dan Evans, only two Baxter strike, nobody else out here. They
0:13:59 > 0:14:04have got a long way to go. The coaches and players need to get on
0:14:04 > 0:14:08page and construct far more try scoring opportunities than they are.
0:14:08 > 0:14:12By way of contrast, we know they were beaten well on the night but
0:14:12 > 0:14:16being modest, part of a backline which is beginning to gel. Some
0:14:16 > 0:14:20youngsters in that line showing real signs of promise.Yes, Gavin is a
0:14:20 > 0:14:24big part of that, the way he flows and moves is really good
0:14:24 > 0:14:25big part of that, the way he flows and moves is really good and these
0:14:25 > 0:14:28young boys are starting to learn how to play-off him. I still think they
0:14:28 > 0:14:33need a bit of control from number nine if I am honest but getting the
0:14:33 > 0:14:37blindside wing in and the early defence, the movement was key. They
0:14:37 > 0:14:41get Ashton and Ross and people like that in one-on-one and that is what
0:14:41 > 0:14:46you want. Look at the movement of Gavin. Get it into the hands early
0:14:46 > 0:14:50and he's got a chance of a one-on-one and that is what these
0:14:50 > 0:14:53young players, that is what they want. We talked about close to the
0:14:53 > 0:14:58line. You want mismatches. As much as I will applaud Leon, he is up
0:14:58 > 0:15:03against Sam Davies and there is only one winner. The strike rate at the
0:15:03 > 0:15:05moment is far better than it has been in recent
0:15:05 > 0:15:08moment is far better than it has been in recent seasons.Nothing
0:15:08 > 0:15:11better for a tight head prop than to look up and see a reserve full-back
0:15:11 > 0:15:15in front of you. We talked about the exciting backs at the Dragons but
0:15:15 > 0:15:21some grizzled forwards coming through as well. The old days of
0:15:21 > 0:15:26relying on one facet of play, an enormous forward pack are long gone.
0:15:26 > 0:15:31We have do have, you have to be able to attack on many fronts. I suppose
0:15:31 > 0:15:34the frustration for Ospreys is the backed up the game against Saracens
0:15:34 > 0:15:39where they did look full of menace, the thrust of old, and you go back
0:15:39 > 0:15:44to a more startling thing. It's the search for consistency. It strikes
0:15:44 > 0:15:49me who is on page at the Dragons seem to have a plan everybody knows
0:15:49 > 0:15:55and is prepared to follow. Is there a feeling this season is almost an
0:15:55 > 0:16:00experiment are you? You don't have do pursue those results, you can see
0:16:00 > 0:16:04how the vision is bedding in? There is not that pressure you get every
0:16:04 > 0:16:09year?I am not sure about that, maybe from the coach point of view
0:16:09 > 0:16:13but as players we go out and want to win and do everything we can every
0:16:13 > 0:16:16week. We are targeting the home games more, we go into each home
0:16:16 > 0:16:20game in the week leading up to it as our test week and we worked really
0:16:20 > 0:16:24hard to get the results. Possibly away from home, going to the Ospreys
0:16:24 > 0:16:28is always a tough place and there are a few years denying in terms of
0:16:28 > 0:16:31the developments going there and putting in an improved performance
0:16:31 > 0:16:37was definitely a thing for us. Talked already about Gavin Henson
0:16:37 > 0:16:40keeping the backline taking, former Ospreys back to his old stomping
0:16:40 > 0:16:43ground on Friday, he's been a bit elusive of the field since his
0:16:43 > 0:16:47arrival but we tracked him down in the week and Jonathan Davies went
0:16:47 > 0:16:47for coffee and
0:16:51 > 0:16:55What a moment Fredd Young Gavin Henson of Swansea. The potential to
0:16:55 > 0:16:58be world-class.
0:17:01 > 0:17:04I always wanted to come back to Wales. To finish off where I
0:17:04 > 0:17:15started. Got in touch with me last season and wanted me to come across.
0:17:15 > 0:17:19But then he went. But I was still glad to come back to Wales on a
0:17:19 > 0:17:30high.You seem to be enjoying it? Yeah, Bernard coming in with his new
0:17:30 > 0:17:34strategy and it just feels her new place for everyone. What is he like
0:17:34 > 0:17:42as a coach?He is intense. Big-time. That's what I need and what I like
0:17:42 > 0:17:48as a player. We are on edge every day, every day. Good environment to
0:17:48 > 0:17:55learn, still great for me.Let's go back to the start, the year 2000, 18
0:17:55 > 0:17:59years old. Do you remember your first first-class game?It was a bit
0:17:59 > 0:18:08random.I was thinking that.I had just left school. I had to go and
0:18:08 > 0:18:16help.Such a thrill for this young man. Went to a famous rugby nursery
0:18:16 > 0:18:24down in Wales.I cannot believe I've played for them. Felt like I played
0:18:24 > 0:18:30well, had a half and they came me off which I was not happy about. It
0:18:30 > 0:18:37someday called Stephen Jones on at the time.I wonder how he did?Did
0:18:37 > 0:18:41not quite work because they wanted me to play in the under 21 and I was
0:18:41 > 0:18:44full of self belief and arrogance back then, thought I was good enough
0:18:44 > 0:18:50to be in the first team. You went and played for Swansea.Probably my
0:18:50 > 0:18:55best time in rugby, that first season with Swansea. When amazing,
0:18:55 > 0:19:01won the league. I featured quite a bit. And one of my best coaches. I
0:19:01 > 0:19:06love the way he was. One of those guys you wanted to play for. He got
0:19:06 > 0:19:12the best out of me. Then the new thing started with the Ospreys and
0:19:12 > 0:19:19it was great to work with Lyn Jones. Heard a lot about him. What is he
0:19:19 > 0:19:22like day-to-day? I played with him so I only saw him three week and
0:19:22 > 0:19:26that was enough. You could not wait to get into meetings, he was like a
0:19:26 > 0:19:31stand-up. Nobody went to sleep. So funny but so intelligent as well.
0:19:31 > 0:19:37Knows the game inside out. Another coach he just wanted to play for.
0:19:37 > 0:19:41Ospreys a huge part of Wales, making somebody ate the last Grand Slam
0:19:41 > 0:19:46then you were involved in 2005. The one game you came to the fore was
0:19:46 > 0:19:55the England game with the tackle and then the kick.If you kick this he
0:19:55 > 0:20:00can shave whatever part of the body he wants.Whatever I watch on the
0:20:00 > 0:20:10Internet, I am more nervous then than I was.Fantastic.After that
0:20:10 > 0:20:18game it went a bit crazy. It was hard to live up to that, at that
0:20:18 > 0:20:22level of performance. I have always been trying to get back to that.
0:20:22 > 0:20:25Martyn Williams told me you were the most talented player he ever played
0:20:25 > 0:20:29with and he played with some legends of the game. Do you feel sometimes
0:20:29 > 0:20:33you maybe should have achieved more in a Welsh Jersey and the regional
0:20:33 > 0:20:40setup because of your talent?I do think that. But not so much about my
0:20:40 > 0:20:44ability, it's everything else, trying to manage. The body, I did
0:20:44 > 0:20:49not know much about that. I kept breaking down. To be fair the physio
0:20:49 > 0:20:53were not as good as they are now. That's part of the reason I took
0:20:53 > 0:20:58time out the game. To have a break and learn about my body and find the
0:20:58 > 0:21:02best physios and work things out for myself. I think that's how prolonged
0:21:02 > 0:21:08my career.Unfortunately you missed out on the biggest stage, the Rugby
0:21:08 > 0:21:18World Cup, because of injury.Yeah, mostly injury, the biggest part was
0:21:18 > 0:21:23the 2003, that hurt with Steve Hansen. He was asking me to do
0:21:23 > 0:21:27things and I was doing things and he cut me at the last second, I didn't
0:21:27 > 0:21:33like it. I am gutted I missed that one. The other ones, a bit of form,
0:21:33 > 0:21:412007 not great that year. 2011 I broke my wrist in the final warm up
0:21:41 > 0:21:47game against England.How did you recover?It was tough, took a while
0:21:47 > 0:21:52to get over that one. When I said we were coming to interview you
0:21:52 > 0:21:57everyone said they wanted interview use or the was amazing. I have got
0:21:57 > 0:22:03questions asked, biggest regret? Probably not having a go at rugby
0:22:03 > 0:22:10league.Is it?I used to watch it a lot, so much I wanted to play it.
0:22:10 > 0:22:14But I decided not to. I think I would have enjoyed it and learned a
0:22:14 > 0:22:18lot from the game if I was to go on to coach at the rugby, it would be
0:22:18 > 0:22:26nice to have.Stupid question, did you ever see me play?I did.I
0:22:26 > 0:22:33played against your dad. That's how long ago it is.My old man said
0:22:33 > 0:22:39watch a goodly number ten is. And I would come on the field after and he
0:22:39 > 0:22:44would have me as you were going through, he said look, not even any
0:22:44 > 0:22:51mud on him. I think that got in my head because I was major I looked
0:22:51 > 0:22:58great.I am glad I had some effect the new!
0:22:58 > 0:23:01Fascinating stuff, much longer version of that interview online if
0:23:01 > 0:23:13you want to see that on the website. We are playing musical chairs. The
0:23:13 > 0:23:16Dragons chief executive Gerry Davis joins us.
0:23:19 > 0:23:21-- Stewart Davis.
0:23:24 > 0:23:32Former all Whites player yourself, Gavin Henson so honest and candid,
0:23:32 > 0:23:38is he the most ministers -- misunderstood man in rugby? When he
0:23:38 > 0:23:42came to Dragons, I met with him just to find it where his head was that,
0:23:42 > 0:23:47how his body was and why he wanted to come to us. Once we were able to
0:23:47 > 0:23:50put it out there you realised how much interest there was about Gavin
0:23:50 > 0:23:56returning to rugby and coming to Dragons he has been wonderful. Bums
0:23:56 > 0:24:01on seats and so much interest. Controlling things for us, doing
0:24:01 > 0:24:06everything he said he wanted to do when he came back. The influence on
0:24:06 > 0:24:11the younger players. Huge conversation point. In terms of
0:24:11 > 0:24:14where these misunderstood are not there is loads of interest. It's
0:24:14 > 0:24:19tremendously important in terms of the Dragons and the Welsh game.A
0:24:19 > 0:24:23ruck star when you're commenting on that game in 2005 and he landed that
0:24:23 > 0:24:27kick, still a rock star, of the international scene for years but
0:24:27 > 0:24:32still arguably the most marketable man in Welsh rugby. He is a true
0:24:32 > 0:24:36one-off. I think it is good that somebody who is so strange has a
0:24:36 > 0:24:43place. It's a great advert for going away, seeing other parts of the
0:24:43 > 0:24:48world and coming back and giving something back. 12 years since that
0:24:48 > 0:24:53kick and he still playing. For me he is still owed in what he does on the
0:24:53 > 0:24:59field but it's so positive. I think he's a great advert for the game.
0:24:59 > 0:25:04Just talking to the current players, it seems they feel the same way.You
0:25:04 > 0:25:08have coached him, know him well, how has he changed as a player? Honestly
0:25:08 > 0:25:13lost pace.I played with his dad so I have known him a long time and
0:25:13 > 0:25:17worked with him at Ospreys and Bristol. He's a pleasure to work
0:25:17 > 0:25:22with. The boys love him wherever he goes. He's a real character, cheeky
0:25:22 > 0:25:26chappie. But I have never worked with anyone with so much time on the
0:25:26 > 0:25:32ball, his technical ability, his tactical appreciation, he loves the
0:25:32 > 0:25:34game. He understands it and gets frustrated when other people don't
0:25:34 > 0:25:41see it like him.He not only does his stuff in attack, he led the
0:25:41 > 0:25:48defence in the Welsh Grand Slam. All aspects of the game, high ball,
0:25:48 > 0:25:53distribution, tackle.And he's pretty good-looking as well, still.
0:25:53 > 0:25:58One man he will be delighted to be on the Dragons books is David
0:25:58 > 0:26:07buttress, in charge of the books. How are you? Good reception. As we
0:26:07 > 0:26:12heard, the second most famous man to come out of Croesyceiliog, you are
0:26:12 > 0:26:17very welcome in these parts still. You played scrum-half here for a
0:26:17 > 0:26:21couple of seasons. You'll might guess, when I was at university. The
0:26:21 > 0:26:25burning question is what persuaded you, someone who has made a fortune,
0:26:25 > 0:26:30to come home and take the chairmanship of Dragons?Don't get
0:26:30 > 0:26:35me wrong, I loved building my business but if you are Welsh rugby
0:26:35 > 0:26:39is a passion and something I have done since I was eight years old
0:26:39 > 0:26:46when my grandfather played here. When I was asked it was probably the
0:26:46 > 0:26:51easiest yes. It was a huge honour. But also I feel a huge
0:26:51 > 0:26:54responsibility because I think what we have is an amazing opportunity.
0:26:54 > 0:26:58The young players we have, big responsibility to create an off the
0:26:58 > 0:27:01field environment in which the commercial can flourish so we can
0:27:01 > 0:27:07reinvest in more success.Sixth in the conference, two wins, talking
0:27:07 > 0:27:11about it being a bit of a project, how faithful to the fans need to be,
0:27:11 > 0:27:15when can they start dreaming about winning things?I don't think anyone
0:27:15 > 0:27:22involved in sport doesn't want to win. We want a win. If you are a
0:27:22 > 0:27:25business person, everything I have done is to try and build things
0:27:25 > 0:27:30which last but also a hugely successful. I think fans need to be
0:27:30 > 0:27:33thoughtful about how they think in the sense it clear off the pitch and
0:27:33 > 0:27:37on the pitch the club is going on the direction. Doing a fantastic
0:27:37 > 0:27:42job, the young players give us a huge opportunity to grow. It's our
0:27:42 > 0:27:44responsibility to do some stuff around Rodney Parade and create
0:27:44 > 0:27:53affinity. Don't forget we have to tell sure.Perhaps the accusation in
0:27:53 > 0:27:58the past is that it's not embraced the wider regional concept, you have
0:27:58 > 0:28:00dropped Newport Gwent Dragons the title, it's about developing
0:28:00 > 0:28:09youngsters in the region. Is that the most important priority for you?
0:28:09 > 0:28:13I think it is the right thing for Wales and for the game. I start with
0:28:13 > 0:28:18that. Of course if you look at the players, I think about 73
0:28:18 > 0:28:21participating clubs, more than anywhere else so of course we should
0:28:21 > 0:28:25be bringing through youth. I was looking at some stats in the New
0:28:25 > 0:28:29Zealand: 15, they're under 20 team in 2010, pretty much all of their
0:28:29 > 0:28:32first 15 come from that team and we don't have that so there is
0:28:32 > 0:28:36something about youth, not just bringing you through that getting
0:28:36 > 0:28:40them to turn professional. There is work to be done but I'm sure we will
0:28:40 > 0:28:47get it done.Breaking news frost tonight? We are very excited, my son
0:28:47 > 0:28:51's favourite player which has nothing to do with it but he will be
0:28:51 > 0:28:55pleased, our hooker has just announced a new three-year contract.
0:28:55 > 0:28:55Congratulations.CHEERING APPLAUSE
0:28:55 > 0:28:59.
0:29:03 > 0:29:07Great stuff. Good news to end on, congratulations on the new contract
0:29:07 > 0:29:12and that was just one Welsh derby this weekend, we had another last
0:29:12 > 0:29:13night, Scarlets against the Blues.
0:29:19 > 0:29:28COMMENTATOR: So often it's the first man. Does it easily. All driving on,
0:29:28 > 0:29:35Davis has a little work. The space appears, straightaway. Hadleigh
0:29:35 > 0:29:41Parkes. Nobody is going to stop the New Zealander.
0:29:46 > 0:29:49Davies switches it. Men on the short side. Little bent through from
0:29:49 > 0:29:56Hadleigh Parkes. Good work from Evans. It's a OOglies for Williams.
0:29:56 > 0:30:02They will have a look at this one. Great piece of skill, if that is the
0:30:02 > 0:30:09tried it's fantastic work from the winner once more.I'm going to go
0:30:09 > 0:30:15with the knock-on and then deal with the foul play.Correct decision,
0:30:15 > 0:30:18still a golden opportunity for the Scarlets, no try.
0:30:24 > 0:30:31Tadgh Beirne provides the Scarlets with the ball. This is the
0:30:31 > 0:30:37juggernaut Scarlets pack. That is a try for Ryan Elias. He was at the
0:30:37 > 0:30:43base. There was no stopping the Scarlets as they drove the Blues
0:30:43 > 0:30:44into submission.
0:30:53 > 0:31:04Rey Lee-Lo that time. In the shadow of the Scarlets' post. Steven
0:31:04 > 0:31:16Shingler caught. Has possession been lost at the vital time? It was
0:31:16 > 0:31:24Willis Halaholo who lost possession. Lloyd Williams is shaping up to come
0:31:24 > 0:31:26on.
0:31:34 > 0:31:47Rey Lee-Lo had to take it low and he did well. They need a score of some
0:31:47 > 0:31:52sort. Trying to get the off-load and they have done so. Halaholo puts on
0:31:52 > 0:31:57the afterburners and there is no one in front of him and a huge
0:31:57 > 0:32:01psychological score for the Blues. The danger man once more, Willis
0:32:01 > 0:32:04Halaholo.
0:32:08 > 0:32:17It has been clicked on. In all kinds of problems. Lloyd Williams can reap
0:32:17 > 0:32:33the rewards. Has he dotted the ball down? It was Mike Nichols' -- it was
0:32:33 > 0:32:43Johnny McNicholl's indecision. And there is 20 minutes to go.
0:32:52 > 0:32:59A change. Jonathan Evans coming on. Steffan Evans sprinting into the 22.
0:32:59 > 0:33:06It could be a try for Jonathan Evans, who has just come on the
0:33:06 > 0:33:11field of play. That is his first touch of the ball and it is a
0:33:11 > 0:33:25fantastic touch, as well. Evans. There are men out wide. One more
0:33:25 > 0:33:33charge could do it. Steffan Evans once more. They will not stop the
0:33:33 > 0:33:40winger. A fourth and a bonus one for the Scarlets and a try that should
0:33:40 > 0:33:45see them out for another victory over the Blues. We did not get
0:33:45 > 0:33:46see them out for another victory over the Blues. We did not get a lot
0:33:46 > 0:33:50of possession and as a result were on the back foot but they were not
0:33:50 > 0:33:55threatening us and if we could stop giving away silly penalties and have
0:33:55 > 0:33:59more possession we would be fine. We have to work hard for the bonus
0:33:59 > 0:34:03because we knew they would not simply go away. Not a good
0:34:03 > 0:34:08performance if I am brutally honest. I am proud of the ability to try to
0:34:08 > 0:34:13get back into the game, scoring two tries in the second half but the
0:34:13 > 0:34:21next kick-off, we make a big error and they score and get back into the
0:34:21 > 0:34:24lead and we are chasing again. Not our best performance but a number of
0:34:24 > 0:34:27young players have their first taste of a derby match. You have to take
0:34:27 > 0:34:31your hat off to the Scarlets, they showed quality they have in their
0:34:31 > 0:34:34team.They deserved the win
0:34:34 > 0:34:36showed quality they have in their team. They deserved the win tonight.
0:34:36 > 0:34:47Drinking you up-to-date with some of the other results from the Pro14. A
0:34:47 > 0:34:54great win for Leinster. The Cheetahs coming from behind to pit Zebre. And
0:34:54 > 0:35:02Glasgow, they are still bossing the Pro14.
0:35:02 > 0:35:02Glasgow, they are still bossing the Pro14.
0:35:15 > 0:35:21Southern Kings, miserable for them, not a single point this season.
0:35:21 > 0:35:26Second season syndrome in a way for the Scarlets, after their
0:35:26 > 0:35:31unlikeliest success last season. How much have you enjoyed the
0:35:31 > 0:35:34Renaissance in the Scarlets and the fact they have carried on in the
0:35:34 > 0:35:39league?Last season was so refreshing with two games at the end
0:35:39 > 0:35:47against Leinster and Munster and it told everyone the way they played.
0:35:47 > 0:35:53The game against Bath in Europe, they seemed reluctant to change in
0:35:53 > 0:35:56any conditions against any powerful site and you can come unstuck but it
0:35:56 > 0:36:02is not over. That was an entertaining game against the Blues.
0:36:02 > 0:36:11When they got back to 18-17, the Blues, it was for long. Danny Wilson
0:36:11 > 0:36:17said it is a slight curse of the Welsh game, catching the kick-off.
0:36:17 > 0:36:22Something to aspire to? Indefinitely, setting aside the
0:36:22 > 0:36:29regional rivalry, the manner of the Scarlets' wins in Ireland to become
0:36:29 > 0:36:33champions was inspirational. The quality of the rugby and change of
0:36:33 > 0:36:38approach. On occasions our game can be stodgy but they reinvented
0:36:38 > 0:36:42themselves effectively. Some great guys playing very good rugby and it
0:36:42 > 0:36:46shows a lot of us what can be achieved when you get things right.
0:36:46 > 0:36:52We talk about this every week. Even against Bath in Europe they did not
0:36:52 > 0:36:57alter the way they played. Such high tempo and fluidity.Nine times out
0:36:57 > 0:37:02of ten it works. It was a good test but at times the Scarlets at their
0:37:02 > 0:37:06best with high skill and tempo and the Blues joined in.
0:37:06 > 0:37:08best with high skill and tempo and the Blues joined in. This is
0:37:08 > 0:37:10Hadleigh Parkes. They have
0:37:10 > 0:37:11the Blues joined in. This is Hadleigh Parkes. They have a real
0:37:11 > 0:37:17appetite to attack and commit two defenders. Williams, out of the back
0:37:17 > 0:37:22door. Look at the transfer of the delivery, bringing Gareth Davies
0:37:22 > 0:37:27onto the ball. Preplanned but the timing of the runs, so rehearsed.
0:37:27 > 0:37:34When it comes from here, what do they do? You never really know. A
0:37:34 > 0:37:38crossfield kick. They are Jack in the box. Difficult to defend at
0:37:38 > 0:37:44times. Talk about constructing a try, three forwards close to the
0:37:44 > 0:37:50line, outside and inside. Good patients, waiting, another three
0:37:50 > 0:37:54forwards. They are setting up the Blues to condense their defence.
0:37:54 > 0:38:00They go again? No, across to Hadleigh Parkes. He makes good yards
0:38:00 > 0:38:05and often scores from there. It allows the back line to regenerate
0:38:05 > 0:38:12and they are together. Look how connected the backline are. This is
0:38:12 > 0:38:12something the
0:38:12 > 0:38:13connected the backline are. This is something the Ospreys do not do.
0:38:13 > 0:38:18This guy can do nothing wrong. The Blues would have arrived with
0:38:18 > 0:38:24confidence with two out of two Europe. Significant wins against
0:38:24 > 0:38:30French side but this was
0:38:30 > 0:38:31Europe. Significant wins against French side but this was a step too
0:38:31 > 0:38:41far.It was too much. In discipline -- ill discipline. A lot of changes
0:38:41 > 0:38:49in the game early. Steven Shingler on early. The Scarlets turning the
0:38:49 > 0:38:57screw at the scrum. And that the maul. Danny will be disappointed
0:38:57 > 0:39:02with this. They can go narrow and with a good pack. A tough night for
0:39:02 > 0:39:02the Blues but
0:39:02 > 0:39:04with a good pack. A tough night for the Blues but recent form has been
0:39:04 > 0:39:09good.Danny Wilson is leaving at the end of the season so he is a lame
0:39:09 > 0:39:13duck coach in that respect. How hard is it for the players knowing
0:39:13 > 0:39:19everything in place this season will be torn up?It is different because
0:39:19 > 0:39:25it is not on the field that has caused the problem. The link between
0:39:25 > 0:39:30players and coaches intact and they can carry on. It is different
0:39:30 > 0:39:35circumstance in Cardiff but there is a mood across the land for home
0:39:35 > 0:39:41grown. The Dragons are leading the charge. We need outsiders to come
0:39:41 > 0:39:47in, Hadleigh Parkes, qualifies for Wales. But, in general, the thrust
0:39:47 > 0:39:52must be, let's make our own and that applies to coaches, as well. The
0:39:52 > 0:39:58Wales squad was announced on Tuesday by Warren Gatland with five Dragons,
0:39:58 > 0:40:02the joint highest representation for the region have four are here this
0:40:02 > 0:40:08evening. Elliot Dee, Leon Brown, Cory Hill and Hallam.
0:40:11 > 0:40:19I should mention we hope to get the fifth member, Tyler Morgan, who went
0:40:19 > 0:40:25off injured on Friday night. Fingers crossed he will be back before long.
0:40:25 > 0:40:31Congratulations on the contract. You are top of the try scoring. You love
0:40:31 > 0:40:38a try. I suppose playing for the Dragons, it has not been hard in
0:40:38 > 0:40:42recent years. We are playing a bit of rugby this year but I'm just
0:40:42 > 0:40:50lucky to be on the back of the mauls and dotting the ball down. What is
0:40:50 > 0:40:55with this modesty with the Dragons? Leon, you got over the try-line on
0:40:55 > 0:41:02Friday. You are doing the backs' job.It does not often happen.
0:41:02 > 0:41:13Scoring at 30 yards. The Dragons, the forwards have ball in hand.
0:41:13 > 0:41:19Don't often touched the ball so it was good. You are the captain this
0:41:19 > 0:41:25year. Captain Fantastic, the boy said you are doing a good job. What
0:41:25 > 0:41:29kind of Captain are you? I like to be a character in the squad and
0:41:29 > 0:41:35friendly with most of the boys. Most? We have Gavin who keeps
0:41:35 > 0:41:41himself to himself a bit! Everybody seems to get on well with a pretty
0:41:41 > 0:41:45decent relationship, with Bernard coming in. Everything is exciting
0:41:45 > 0:41:50and I'm looking forward to a nice couple of seasons.Thanks for coming
0:41:50 > 0:41:54in this season.
0:41:59 > 0:42:04Let's talk more about the Wales squad. None of us journalists could
0:42:04 > 0:42:11figure out the headline. The Sam Cross inclusion. Hadleigh Parkes has
0:42:11 > 0:42:17joined and will be eligible before the final game against South Africa.
0:42:17 > 0:42:21Was it the return of Rhys Priestland? I do not know. What was
0:42:21 > 0:42:25the first thing that caught your attention? The first thing genuinely
0:42:25 > 0:42:30was really pleased they have gone for a lot of youngsters and players
0:42:30 > 0:42:34in form like Steffan Evans, which is refreshing and there is clear
0:42:34 > 0:42:38indication they are looking to change attacking style. I was
0:42:38 > 0:42:44surprised and a little disappointed Scott Williams is left out. I do not
0:42:44 > 0:42:48know we can afford to leave the player of his quality out but I am
0:42:48 > 0:42:53looking forward to the autumn series of the back of it and welcome it.
0:42:53 > 0:43:00Four fly-halves in the squad and a seeming shift to a change in
0:43:00 > 0:43:07philosophy, shades of 1988 with four in the backline. Is it an indication
0:43:07 > 0:43:12he is seriously going to change the way they play?Only four centres so
0:43:12 > 0:43:17you are looking at one of the four tens and see if they are going to
0:43:17 > 0:43:24move to 12 which they did with the Lions. More than anything, I think
0:43:24 > 0:43:29the squad selection screams opportunity. Young Sam Cross, the
0:43:29 > 0:43:34opportunity on the back of one game but I have seen that with Bernard
0:43:34 > 0:43:38and the Dragons. You get the jersey and show what you can do. The
0:43:38 > 0:43:42message from Warren is the guys have a chance to impress. In camp they
0:43:42 > 0:43:46are watched and have opportunity to show what they can do and if they
0:43:46 > 0:43:55deliver get another chance.Talking about having a chance. Sam Cross.
0:43:55 > 0:43:59Had he not played against Saracens the week before and he only did so
0:43:59 > 0:44:04because of injuries, he probably would not have got near the squad
0:44:04 > 0:44:10but there he is, it is a fantastic story for him but I guess there are
0:44:10 > 0:44:14people like Boyd and Tom Young looking on and thinking, what else
0:44:14 > 0:44:18could I have done?Another product of this county. We keep churning
0:44:18 > 0:44:27them out. It is great. One thing he has is pace and off-loading
0:44:27 > 0:44:33awareness, born out of playing in so many sevens. He has pace, spatial
0:44:33 > 0:44:38awareness. It is good to see and good to see the Dragons back in the
0:44:38 > 0:44:43national squad. I suppose the temptation must be as Warren Gatland
0:44:43 > 0:44:47arrived and picked 13 Ospreys in the first team there must be a
0:44:47 > 0:44:53temptation to cram it with Scarlets. They are in the form. Australia
0:44:53 > 0:44:58beating New Zealand probably did not help. It means they are on a roll.
0:44:58 > 0:45:02They played against New Zealand and got another game under their belts
0:45:02 > 0:45:08against the Barbarians. They are on a roll and we are coming into it in
0:45:08 > 0:45:14rusty mode. A tricky game. I would not experiment much in the opening
0:45:14 > 0:45:20fixture.In terms of the balance of the squad, the word on the street is
0:45:20 > 0:45:25we know what Jamie Roberts and Scott Williams can do and this is an
0:45:25 > 0:45:29opportunity for those others to experience it. They are not chasing
0:45:29 > 0:45:33rankings points so the pressure is off, but you do not want to lose
0:45:33 > 0:45:39these games.Nobody wants to lose but we have to accept as a Welsh
0:45:39 > 0:45:43public there will be experimentation and we have to be patient. The
0:45:43 > 0:45:48endgame is the World Cup, fast approaching. We do know what a lot
0:45:48 > 0:45:57of players can do and these guys showing form in the regional game,
0:45:57 > 0:45:59they will want to see them on a higher stage but the difficulty is,
0:45:59 > 0:46:03and always the case in the autumn, these three teams after the back of
0:46:03 > 0:46:08a Rugby Championship, well oiled, coming up for a win and we go to
0:46:08 > 0:46:12camp, two weeks to go. Be patient, let Warren find out about the
0:46:12 > 0:46:23players.Rolf Harris' swansong. Stepping down after the World Cup
0:46:23 > 0:46:28along with Warren. An intriguing story. The England and Wales packs
0:46:28 > 0:46:36next week will be training together in Bristol. What is that about? One
0:46:36 > 0:46:40of these innovations that the coaches use. I remember doing it, we
0:46:40 > 0:46:47trained away from home. They can be quirky sometimes and sometimes
0:46:47 > 0:46:51deliver.
0:46:56 > 0:47:02If you take it up a level, Wales training against England in a
0:47:02 > 0:47:08managed session. Nigel Owens, though less.That can get tasty.Surely
0:47:08 > 0:47:14fists will fly! You would imagine there has been discussion before to
0:47:14 > 0:47:20stop that happening. There will not be many cameras filming it.Eddie
0:47:20 > 0:47:26Jones claimed today Wales have the edge over England in the scrum and
0:47:26 > 0:47:34they will win that physical battle. Do you agree? It could be tasty.
0:47:34 > 0:47:36Let's find out what happened in the Premiership.
0:47:44 > 0:47:48It was top against second at the Bridge field but the top team came
0:47:48 > 0:48:01second. Ponty. This try one of their four tries. Champions Merthyr
0:48:01 > 0:48:08lurking within tent in third and also bagged a bonus point try in
0:48:08 > 0:48:12winning at Cross Keys. This try by Andrew is one of five managed by
0:48:12 > 0:48:19Merthyr. Ebbw Vale gained a first home win of the campaign beating
0:48:19 > 0:48:27Bedwas and this penalty try the compelling moment.
0:48:27 > 0:48:36On Friday, Cardiff beat Newport. Here putting the blue plaques on the
0:48:36 > 0:48:44road to bonus point win. The table shows Bedwas on top from
0:48:44 > 0:48:48Ponty on points difference.
0:48:53 > 0:49:05It was top against second in the west. Here the second team came top.
0:49:05 > 0:49:08Our RGC had two tries.
0:49:13 > 0:49:22Six yellow cards here and a red card for O Driscoll but it did not stop
0:49:22 > 0:49:30the Reds winning with a bonus point. The Quins won the big WestLB. Their
0:49:30 > 0:49:46win over Llanelli. -- west lead. -- league. Swansea avenge their opening
0:49:46 > 0:49:53day defeat by Neath by turning the tables with a bonus point. Evans the
0:49:53 > 0:50:01score up of one of their four tries. RGC leap frog to Llandovery at the
0:50:01 > 0:50:04top.
0:50:04 > 0:50:09RGC leap frog to Llandovery at the top. We are at Croesyceiliog and it
0:50:09 > 0:50:13would be remiss not to find out how they got on yesterday.
0:50:13 > 0:50:19would be remiss not to find out how they got on yesterday.
0:50:19 > 0:50:28Our club is special because we are a community club. When I joined years
0:50:28 > 0:50:28ago
0:50:28 > 0:50:31community club. When I joined years ago it was 15 players from a pub on
0:50:31 > 0:50:39a Saturday afternoon. How things have gone on.I have played all the
0:50:39 > 0:50:43way through Croesyceiliog. Been to other clubs along the way but always
0:50:43 > 0:50:50come back here.It has a good ethos. We tried to play a good brand of
0:50:50 > 0:50:57rugby and try to progress. It is massive. We need this win just to
0:50:57 > 0:51:01get ourselves back contract and get confidence in the boys and get back
0:51:01 > 0:51:09to where we were. Abercarn are a good bunch of boys. We are looking
0:51:09 > 0:51:17forward to having a couple of pints with them later.I follow
0:51:17 > 0:51:21Croesyceiliog all the time. My grandson normally plays. He has an
0:51:21 > 0:51:27injury, but they are worth watching. Excellent, excellent support. They
0:51:27 > 0:51:33have supported us all the way the last three years, from winning the
0:51:33 > 0:51:40championship, and here today. Absolutely fantastic. We have over
0:51:40 > 0:51:50200 kids playing. A lot of our teams are at full capacity. Really great
0:51:50 > 0:51:54seeing the kids enjoying their rugby.
0:52:08 > 0:52:15It was tough at the end but the boys to get a win, it means a lot. It is
0:52:15 > 0:52:23nice they held in for once. We got what we came for. A win is a win.
0:52:23 > 0:52:36Love it. And here he years, the star of the
0:52:36 > 0:52:40show. Matthew Ebden whistle. He came off the bench. I thought you had
0:52:40 > 0:52:52retired but you are a hero in injury time.Dragged off the bench again.
0:52:52 > 0:53:01Leon talked about his 30 yards.Last night was 20, 30 yards.Now the
0:53:01 > 0:53:09evidence is out! Victory against Abercarn. You lost against them in
0:53:09 > 0:53:14the Plate last year. All the way this year? I hope so. Two away wins
0:53:14 > 0:53:20in the cup and hopefully a home draw next time and fingers crossed. And
0:53:20 > 0:53:25Carly, you represent the women's a new start in the masterclass
0:53:25 > 0:53:31earlier.I did. I am glad I was facing the back, not the camera! You
0:53:31 > 0:53:38did not play this weekend, the game was called off. But you did not get
0:53:38 > 0:53:43away with it because Sean made you do that earlier. Tell me the secret
0:53:43 > 0:53:49of this club. Something like 14 sections, junior sections, women's
0:53:49 > 0:53:56side. Why do you thrive when so many grassroots clubs are not?So many
0:53:56 > 0:54:01interested in playing. Women's has become more popular and it's nice to
0:54:01 > 0:54:05see girls coming up and enjoying themselves. We support each other's
0:54:05 > 0:54:14games, the men's boys' out within's. The under 13s playing against
0:54:14 > 0:54:18Merthyr today. Unfortunately they did not get the win but you turned
0:54:18 > 0:54:23out to support each other and a great occasion.Yes it is a good
0:54:23 > 0:54:27opportunity to get together, enjoy ourselves and support each other and
0:54:27 > 0:54:32encourage more people to play.Thank you for joining us tonight.
0:54:32 > 0:54:47Best of luck. I had better get back to my seat. We have not got a lot of
0:54:47 > 0:54:54time left. Before we end, I want to talk about the Dragons. It is tough
0:54:54 > 0:54:58coming up next, Munster away and then a period when you do not play
0:54:58 > 0:55:02at home about two months. We are on the road, the way the list conspired
0:55:02 > 0:55:12against us. Plenty of journeys at the moment, but come December, a big
0:55:12 > 0:55:16December with five games at home. Hardening up on the road and then
0:55:16 > 0:55:25looking to do some damage when we get Rodney Parade rocking again. We
0:55:25 > 0:55:34have talked about the international series. More specifically on that,
0:55:34 > 0:55:38we talked about the pressure being off and victories were not the be
0:55:38 > 0:55:44all and end all. What would you consider a success? We need to beat
0:55:44 > 0:55:51one of the big three. Beat Georgia, even with an experimental side. I'd
0:55:51 > 0:55:57like to see a development of our game. The game has moved on a
0:55:57 > 0:56:02regional, club level. We need to see it move on for Wales to challenge
0:56:02 > 0:56:05the World Cup in Japan. There are signs in the squad selection, can it
0:56:05 > 0:56:10be transferred onto the field? A massive swansong for the coaching
0:56:10 > 0:56:18team. We should get behind it. The regions are trying to do their bit.
0:56:18 > 0:56:24For me, two wins and the development of our game might be enough.
0:56:24 > 0:56:27Australia are the bogey side. We always seem to get them first and
0:56:27 > 0:56:33they catch us cold. You will be in the commentary box. What are the
0:56:33 > 0:56:38odds of a Welsh victory? It would be sweet. One against the All Blacks,
0:56:38 > 0:56:44just to be able to say, we were there when that happened. That is
0:56:44 > 0:56:49the ultimate goal. I would sacrifice Australia to have two under our belt
0:56:49 > 0:56:54and have a real go at the All Blacks. Sacrifice a result against
0:56:54 > 0:56:59Australia to have a crack at the All Blacks. They are prized scalps. You
0:56:59 > 0:57:05talk about the opportunity. Showing what you can do at that level, with
0:57:05 > 0:57:13the Georgia game. But if you are a player, involved in this, how long
0:57:13 > 0:57:17does your career last, how often do you get the scalp of four of those
0:57:17 > 0:57:24three? Can they do it? You see the first game of the All Blacks in the
0:57:24 > 0:57:29championship and they have pushed on again and it puts the Lions' results
0:57:29 > 0:57:34into perspective, but that is where the stakes are high is.That is all
0:57:34 > 0:57:42we have time for. Apologies for the gremlins at the start of the show.
0:57:42 > 0:57:53Put your hands together for Stuart Davies, Eddie Butler, Sean Holley.
0:57:53 > 0:57:58As we are deep in the heart of the Dragons' region, only appropriate to
0:57:58 > 0:58:07end on one of the most famous days in Gwent rugby history. The 54th
0:58:07 > 0:58:10anniversary of the day Newport won.
0:58:19 > 0:58:24COMMENTATOR: The tourists' first match in Wales. They have never
0:58:24 > 0:58:28beaten and All Blacks team but at certain times it has been touch and
0:58:28 > 0:58:42go. Watkins on the outside. Danger for the All Blacks. They can get it.
0:58:42 > 0:58:49Trying the drop goal. Is it their? Yes, it is. Rodney Parade is a
0:58:49 > 0:58:55light. Newport have struck the first blow.
0:58:59 > 0:59:03Newport have done it. The crowd
