:00:25. > :00:33.Welcome to McCauley cup final, one of the great days in Shinty.

:00:34. > :01:11.Inveraray are up against Kinlochshiel.

:01:12. > :01:19.Welcome to Mossfield Stadium for the McCauley cup final. This year it is

:01:20. > :01:24.Inveraray and Kinlochshiel. There is no other way of saying it, it is one

:01:25. > :01:33.of the grand slam events in the Shinty calendar. This trophy is what

:01:34. > :01:39.it is all about. A huge prestige to whichever side takes it home this

:01:40. > :01:44.afternoon, I'm joined by the former Scottish international Fraser

:01:45. > :01:48.singles and Gary Read, first you Fraser, in terms of Inveraray,

:01:49. > :01:52.defeated in the final last season, that'll have to disband on this

:01:53. > :01:56.afternoon? Yes they are in transition at the moment. Older

:01:57. > :02:00.players may be past their best and Sung-Yeung promising guys coming

:02:01. > :02:09.through but Kinlochshiel have a great record and they be looking to

:02:10. > :02:12.take advantage. A huge day for Kinlochshiel, they will have to do

:02:13. > :02:16.it without a big play, Connor Cormack is missing today, how big of

:02:17. > :02:23.a mislead the? He would be a big mess. Kinlochshiel have been there

:02:24. > :02:29.or thereabouts in the top flight of Shinty in the last few years and

:02:30. > :02:35.Connor Cormack has come in, he has played and has given a platform to

:02:36. > :02:38.play halfback, a good defender but pushes the team forward and

:02:39. > :02:51.disallowed the likes of Finlay MacRae to push up the pitch and

:02:52. > :02:54.attack. This was Kinlochshiel and the route to the final, it has been

:02:55. > :02:58.the first time they have reached the McCauley cup final, they started

:02:59. > :03:03.with a thumping 7-1 victory against Fort William. Then much tighter in

:03:04. > :03:07.round two. In the semifinal much more emphatic, 3-0. They marched all

:03:08. > :03:16.the way to McCauley cup final and have marched the way to hear today.

:03:17. > :03:18.Figuratively speaking they took the College of course they did that a

:03:19. > :03:23.huge family affair for Kinlochshiel, this day mean so much. If you ever

:03:24. > :03:28.wondered what a Shinty dressing room like, now is your chance. Their

:03:29. > :03:33.manager has been speaking to our own Colin. Give us a sense of the

:03:34. > :03:40.importance of this match, in terms of the history's it's massive. The

:03:41. > :03:46.first senior cup final we have got to so it is a very big occasion for

:03:47. > :03:49.us here today. You're having to do it without one of your key players,

:03:50. > :03:54.will that I have any great impact on the way you line up and play the

:03:55. > :03:58.game? It might make a bit of difference, he has been a great

:03:59. > :04:06.player all season and he will miss out the season because of that so...

:04:07. > :04:10.We will have to adapt. We have that in the last few games so we will try

:04:11. > :04:16.to go through the waiters. You have a big score to settle with

:04:17. > :04:22.Inveraray. Is this payback for you? We certainly hope so. They gave us a

:04:23. > :04:25.lesson on scoring that day. We are about older and wiser this year and

:04:26. > :04:31.we have had a good season behind us so we are hoping we can probably

:04:32. > :04:43.upset the card here. In a word, is this your day? Yes I hope so. All

:04:44. > :04:46.the best. He sounds confident. Their first-ever fire and curiously for

:04:47. > :04:51.you do they go into this as favourites? I think they do because

:04:52. > :04:57.of the form. The Premier League is the top league so Kinlochshiel have

:04:58. > :05:03.a good form but they do have challenges in the malaria, it's

:05:04. > :05:11.difficult for good facilities and retaining players. -- a rural area.

:05:12. > :05:19.You don't have to be a MacRae to play for Kinlochshiel, Finlay MacRae

:05:20. > :05:29.one of the star players? Definitely, he would walk into any team in. He

:05:30. > :05:32.is the foundation for Kinlochshiel so great for him to get recognition

:05:33. > :05:36.for playing in a major final. So many great place to get the chance

:05:37. > :05:39.and he is one of them. He will be the platform and his brothers Keith

:05:40. > :05:46.and John will hopefully score goals for him. Should be interesting

:05:47. > :05:52.indeed. In terms of Inveraray havoc they make it? They were in the final

:05:53. > :05:56.last year. It started with a 3-0 away victory right here. You'll see

:05:57. > :06:01.a pattern emerging. Another away victory 3-2 again. Add in the

:06:02. > :06:08.semifinal guess what? The same again. Alan MacDonald with a

:06:09. > :06:17.hat-trick there. Man of the match as well. They have arrived here looking

:06:18. > :06:22.for revenge after the defeat last year, they know what it's about and

:06:23. > :06:27.have been in plenty of finals and a mixed record, how they get on this

:06:28. > :06:31.year, their manager has been Clement. You are no stranger to this

:06:32. > :06:35.final at all, how much of an advantage is that to you today? It

:06:36. > :06:39.certainly helps us, we have experienced to the team and we have

:06:40. > :06:48.been here before. We have won the Scottish as well, in terms of

:06:49. > :06:51.experience, we should be OK and we understand Kinlochshiel have not

:06:52. > :06:55.been here before but that may be a boost for them to cheer them up. At

:06:56. > :07:01.the moment it will help us. How are you coping with the loss of Lewis

:07:02. > :07:05.MacNicol? Lewis was the top goal-scorer in to this point, had a

:07:06. > :07:09.bad hand injury so Lewis MacNicol who are supposed to start on the

:07:10. > :07:17.wing, he will move forward and we will bring Douglas Dando on the

:07:18. > :07:21.wing. You think this is your day? Certainly hope so, we will give it

:07:22. > :07:27.110% and adding of the day the team that once it will get it. All the

:07:28. > :07:30.best. Inveraray seem an experienced side, you think they are the

:07:31. > :07:35.favourites, they are missing a play, not saying that Shinty is a

:07:36. > :07:42.dangerous ball but another hand injury, Lewis McDonagh read. He is

:07:43. > :07:45.the top scorer so they'll be disappointed to lose him because

:07:46. > :07:50.they have a small squad so it's difficult to recover. They do have

:07:51. > :07:54.players who have been here and done it before and I think by their own

:07:55. > :08:00.admission these guys are about older and the problem for then Ismaily

:08:01. > :08:09.that older players might be not have experience. They are still capable

:08:10. > :08:14.of producing it on the day. We shall see about Garry MacPherson today? He

:08:15. > :08:22.has been the playmaker for a number of years. I think he will start a

:08:23. > :08:30.little bit further back than he is used to. He'll be the supplier and

:08:31. > :08:34.it is important for him. Thank you very much for the moment. Fraser is

:08:35. > :08:38.our co-commentator this afternoon which is just about to start so

:08:39. > :08:42.let's get to the match. The whole show is about to begin, the teams

:08:43. > :08:51.will be led out by the high school pipe ban and your.

:08:52. > :08:55.COMMENTATOR: Always a pleasure to be here at Mossfield Stadium. The

:08:56. > :09:06.traditional welcome for the assembled crowd and the teams. The

:09:07. > :09:11.high school pipe band again celebrating some success, they were

:09:12. > :09:17.third in the recent world pipe band Championships in Glasgow. They have

:09:18. > :09:21.also won in the overall juvenile section in the cowl games and a

:09:22. > :09:28.magnificent gathering. Always a great gathering the north versus the

:09:29. > :09:34.south. A knockout cup final and both teams have made it here in slightly

:09:35. > :09:40.different circumstances as we saw. The new kids on the block in terms

:09:41. > :09:49.of history, Kinlochshiel formed in 1958 from the parish teams, a

:09:50. > :09:54.relatively young club in Shinty terms. We cannot say that of

:09:55. > :10:00.Inveraray. The longest serving team in terms of membership of the

:10:01. > :10:04.Association, the game 's governing body and a very fine tradition they

:10:05. > :10:10.have two. No stranger to this cup final, seven appearances in the year

:10:11. > :10:15.since 2000 and they have won it three times. Maybe expected them to

:10:16. > :10:23.win it more often given the long history but, it will be interesting

:10:24. > :10:30.as we heard just to see how both teams will cope with it. The party

:10:31. > :10:34.meeting the teams today, David Thomson is president of the McCauley

:10:35. > :10:40.Association. Graham Mitchell is a partner as investment management in

:10:41. > :10:51.the McCauley Association main sponsor. And we also have share of

:10:52. > :10:56.the Oban lawn and Islands committee. The finalist Inveraray last year in

:10:57. > :11:04.yellow and black with plenty of experience, maybe too much in terms

:11:05. > :11:12.of it all. They make an adjustment today. Douglas Dando coming in and

:11:13. > :11:17.Lewis MacNicol moving forward. Lewis Montgomery misses out as we know and

:11:18. > :11:28.Alan MacDonald leads the line after having a red card and a hat-trick in

:11:29. > :11:30.the semifinal. Kinlochshiel. Their first-ever senior cup, Mark

:11:31. > :11:35.MacDonald comes in at centre back to replace Connor Cormack. Finlay

:11:36. > :11:41.MacRae the captain is one of three MacRae brothers who will be the cogs

:11:42. > :11:45.in the middle of the field, they have shuffled the pack and don't

:11:46. > :11:49.expect it to stay like that but we expect Jordan Fraser to lead the

:11:50. > :11:55.line from the very start. Substitutes bench. Rolling subs, any

:11:56. > :12:00.three of these players could be used from either side and they can be

:12:01. > :12:04.rotated as many times as the teams need to do so. The other players

:12:05. > :12:10.will take no further part in the games once these three have been

:12:11. > :12:17.use. Slightly stronger bench perhaps from Inveraray numerically. It'll be

:12:18. > :12:24.interesting to see how Kinlochshiel cope with this and how much of

:12:25. > :12:27.Inveraray's experience comes in. Kinlochshiel contested the semifinal

:12:28. > :12:31.of the Scottish cup a few weeks ago and they were a bit disappointing to

:12:32. > :12:36.be honest. They started well the first 15 minutes but what I will be

:12:37. > :12:38.looking for from Kinlochshiel is an improvement of that individually and

:12:39. > :12:45.tactically. They tended to play through the middle in the semifinal

:12:46. > :12:50.and that's really suited more so Kinlochshiel getting a big

:12:51. > :12:55.opportunity to make amends for that. Inveraray are playing without any

:12:56. > :12:58.pressure and have excellent players in their team and if Kinlochshiel to

:12:59. > :13:02.not show enough composure on the ball and rustle up to the occasion

:13:03. > :13:09.them Inveraray are certainly capable of winning the match. Pre-match

:13:10. > :13:13.formalities have been sorted. They know which way they are shooting as

:13:14. > :13:30.we heard from our match referee and it looks as if we have Inveraray

:13:31. > :13:38.having to attack the side -- talent. -- the town end. Kinlochshiel R.N.

:13:39. > :13:40.Red and white and Inveraray the yellow and black scum at this is

:13:41. > :14:01.that 2016 Macauley Cook final. It is a first attack from the boys

:14:02. > :14:04.from Wester Ross. Plenty of yellow shirts in the defence. Not doing

:14:05. > :14:12.well to get the ball hit at the first chance. Kinlochshiel, an edgy

:14:13. > :14:18.start if anything from Inveraray. One or two mistakes early on,

:14:19. > :14:22.swiping and missing. Kinlochshiel did manage to take advantage of

:14:23. > :14:35.putting pressure on early. Good ball into the box and one of the two

:14:36. > :14:39.South fullbacks, the number two there. The North forward line will

:14:40. > :14:42.have one full forward and 3/2 forward so always a bit of a

:14:43. > :14:48.tactical game to see who will make the big adjustment. Too close to the

:14:49. > :14:53.goal if anything but has dropped nicely for Kinlochshiel. Very

:14:54. > :14:59.patient, time to be creative. They just need to be a little bit more

:15:00. > :15:03.direct because this is direct, into the box and goodness me, that has to

:15:04. > :15:10.go down as a defensive slip of huge proportions and you would expect a

:15:11. > :15:17.player of MacRae's class debate is on the target. Oliver MacRae

:15:18. > :15:20.probably did a better job of taking their mind off, the two did not take

:15:21. > :15:24.advantage but extremely worrying from the point of view of team

:15:25. > :15:37.1-macro that he was able to sail through the defence so easily --

:15:38. > :15:42.points of view of Inveraray. Finlay MacRae had MacRae on the back of his

:15:43. > :15:45.helmet which is unhelpful for anybody who doesn't know the team.

:15:46. > :15:53.We have three MacRae brothers and another MacRae if we can put it that

:15:54. > :15:56.way. Oliver MacRae is not one of the MacRae brothers, they all look very

:15:57. > :16:02.calm and collected though. From the point of view of Kinlochshiel they

:16:03. > :16:06.have never been two major finals before so a new experience for them

:16:07. > :16:09.and they don't have ex-players to call upon that have been here and

:16:10. > :16:14.seen and done it so they will be doing the best they can and doing it

:16:15. > :16:21.after instincts of a major achievement. Let's hope they enjoy

:16:22. > :16:30.it. Great folly from midfield there as Inveraray managed to get up to

:16:31. > :16:35.the other end. -- volley. The good weather coming from the South West

:16:36. > :16:38.today. The midfield area going to be crucial and that is a good ball

:16:39. > :16:47.because it could have slipped past Monroe.

:16:48. > :16:54.Inveraray moving the ball. Perfect playing surface apart from the patch

:16:55. > :17:00.in front of us here. The groundsman here has done his usual fantastic

:17:01. > :17:04.job with one eye on the Connacht cup final but has had to do some

:17:05. > :17:08.repairing on the picture. He has done exceptionally well, the

:17:09. > :17:12.condition is good. Too violent games and here in the last week so for the

:17:13. > :17:17.pitch to be in the condition its aim is great. -- to Highland. You can

:17:18. > :17:20.see that patch Burgess the bottom of the screen that the players are well

:17:21. > :17:28.away from that because this is Finlay MacRae.

:17:29. > :17:36.Gary MacPherson very deep, should be in the middle of the field for

:17:37. > :17:41.Inveraray. McDonald breaks forward again, into the box, and just not

:17:42. > :17:49.getting the ball away, Inveraray. A huge number of players dropping back

:17:50. > :17:54.to help the defence. Yes! Goal! Kinlochshiel, and it's Keith MacRae.

:17:55. > :18:00.And that has been coming. To be perfectly honest, the sloppy nature

:18:01. > :18:05.of the Inveraray's defence. Here's the tackle, young Oliver MacRae is

:18:06. > :18:11.around this as well. It breaks to Keith inside the post. The shot,

:18:12. > :18:14.slightly pulled the shot, and I think that was enough to take it

:18:15. > :18:20.away from Ross Montgomery in the goal. They failed to get it clear.

:18:21. > :18:24.The ball broke out and into the corner. Kinlochshiel will be

:18:25. > :18:27.delighted with that. Already we have seen Kinlochshiel play at a higher

:18:28. > :18:31.tempo than ever rarer, purely because they are a Premier League

:18:32. > :18:38.team capable of playing at that intensity and Inveraray will have to

:18:39. > :18:41.cope with that. First blood. First goal, less than five minutes on the

:18:42. > :18:45.clock and I suspect that's the perfect start for them. The one

:18:46. > :18:52.thing they wouldn't want in these circumstances is to go behind. Just

:18:53. > :19:00.in case everybody starting to leap up and down and curtail, I recall

:19:01. > :19:06.there was a final where a team came from 3-0 down not that long ago.

:19:07. > :19:12.There is a lot more shinty before the cup goes anywhere. I think it

:19:13. > :19:17.would be an interesting battle today, Paul MacRae at full-back

:19:18. > :19:26.against McDonald of Inveraray. They are similar in stature. McDonald is

:19:27. > :19:31.a fallback traditionally, so it will be interesting to see that dual

:19:32. > :19:42.today. Is manager said that McDonald played with a bit of an edge. What

:19:43. > :19:51.did you make of this collision? No quarter given, none asked. Inveraray

:19:52. > :20:04.just need a bit of possession. Paul MacRae... Taking nothing for

:20:05. > :20:15.granted. Taking no chances. The stand over on the far side is filled

:20:16. > :20:22.with red shirts and red jackets, the Kinlochshiel supporters. And the

:20:23. > :20:31.yellow and black jackets of the nearby in Ferrari team. -- Inveraray

:20:32. > :20:35.team. They have had to make adjustments because of injuries and

:20:36. > :20:40.the age of some of their players and where they are having to play them.

:20:41. > :20:44.There is that aspect. They don't have a big squad and cannot replace

:20:45. > :20:48.like for like. Sometimes they have to ask a player who is a winger or

:20:49. > :20:52.centre to play a different position and see how they adjust. David

:20:53. > :20:56.Robertson has been the centre for in Ferrari in the last ten or 12 years

:20:57. > :21:00.and he's playing at half forward to today. That's one of the examples of

:21:01. > :21:06.Inveraray shuffling the pack to be competitive. Interesting decision

:21:07. > :21:13.there, the play was pulled back for a free hit, the short ball. It's a

:21:14. > :21:17.good position, but sometimes these positions that are too close to the

:21:18. > :21:20.goal, the players find it very difficult to create an opening.

:21:21. > :21:25.Garrick MacPherson does his best to go onto it and it's actually Alan

:21:26. > :21:29.McDonald who comes into hit it, doesn't hit particularly well. The

:21:30. > :21:32.closer you get to the goal, the less space there is to manipulate and it

:21:33. > :21:40.can be manipulated to find a team-mate. -- and it can be

:21:41. > :21:47.difficult to find a team-mate. Play goes on, interesting battle in

:21:48. > :21:59.midfield. Plenty of strength on offer here. Inveraray won that one.

:22:00. > :22:06.Evan MacRae brings playback. Pushing him. The explanation from the

:22:07. > :22:12.referee, Evan MacRae. Explaining just what was wrong here. Paul

:22:13. > :22:22.MacRae, the referee felt Paul put too much pressure on Alan's back and

:22:23. > :22:26.found him. Just over! Well, he's perfectly capable, that's where he

:22:27. > :22:29.normally plays in that position just off the forward line. Mrs him first

:22:30. > :22:35.time. I thought it took a deflection but perhaps not. Just over the bar.

:22:36. > :22:38.Gary MacPherson carries that threat and you don't want him coming onto

:22:39. > :22:43.the ball in those areas because he will punish you. A suggestion of the

:22:44. > :22:48.Kinlochshiel player diving in front of him, that have been deemed to

:22:49. > :22:52.have fouled him there, could have pulled it back. You're not allowed

:22:53. > :22:58.to play the ball off your feet. At the other end, the other goalkeeper,

:22:59. > :23:07.birthday boy Scott Maclachlan called into action. This wasn't aspect of

:23:08. > :23:10.play that was worrying against Newtonmore, they didn't use the

:23:11. > :23:14.width of the field. I think because Jordan Fraser is strong at full

:23:15. > :23:18.forward and wins a lot of the ball, the temptation is to play the ball

:23:19. > :23:22.into him a lot of the time. But against a strong full-back that will

:23:23. > :23:26.not be successful. You have to move the ball wide in order to move the

:23:27. > :23:30.defence around and create space for people to run into. Already

:23:31. > :23:38.Kinlochshiel showing an improvement from the semifinal. Well taken down

:23:39. > :23:42.and well blocked. Good stop by the goalkeeper, by far and away the

:23:43. > :23:47.busier of the two keepers at this stage. Kinlochshiel a bit sharper up

:23:48. > :23:57.front, getting shots away quicker. Already Jordan Fraser is proving to

:23:58. > :24:01.be quite a handful for young Munro. A bit too close to the goal but it's

:24:02. > :24:06.still in play. Another corner, pressure building up, I don't think

:24:07. > :24:11.from just a quick look around the stadium and the arena, I don't think

:24:12. > :24:17.the wind is playing any great part. Just a gentle breeze from

:24:18. > :24:21.right-to-left. The weather is good considering the forecast, perfect

:24:22. > :24:25.conditions, no wind and it's dry. Driving towards the box. Inveraray

:24:26. > :24:29.have to be careful. The keeper comes off the line and did the right

:24:30. > :24:36.thing. Spotted there was a gap. A red shirt lurking at the back.

:24:37. > :24:41.Kinlochshiel are sharper in a tackle at this stage, a bit more

:24:42. > :24:55.competitive. They certainly are. Kinlochshiel are strong in a chapel,

:24:56. > :25:00.-- strong in the tackle. Good, high hit. MacPherson is playing far too

:25:01. > :25:08.deep. David Robertson, who should be in the forward line, playing almost

:25:09. > :25:12.half back. In the end, Kinlochshiel being patient. More direct than they

:25:13. > :25:17.were against Newtonmore. Another chance here and a good stop. I don't

:25:18. > :25:22.think Kennedy knew that much about it. It took a deflection, and

:25:23. > :25:25.another corner. Good shot from Keith MacRae. Some people might think it

:25:26. > :25:30.was a kick the way he controlled it, but he got the shot and Kennedy

:25:31. > :25:35.blocked it. The shot comes off John and out for the corner. Inveraray

:25:36. > :25:40.are living dangerously, failing to clear their lines. Added to that,

:25:41. > :25:45.the Kinlochshiel forwards are getting off their shots. If that

:25:46. > :25:51.continues, only a matter of time for Kinlochshiel score again. Inveraray

:25:52. > :25:54.currently only have two players forward, their backs against the

:25:55. > :26:04.wall, they have pulled everyone barred to back players back. -- bar

:26:05. > :26:13.two players back. They will have to move at least 20 or 30 yards

:26:14. > :26:20.forward, Robertson, if to contribute more successfully. That kind of

:26:21. > :26:33.pressure is not sustainable for 90 minutes. A quick pass into the box.

:26:34. > :26:39.Shoulder to shoulder. Kinlochshiel are queueing up for the shot. And

:26:40. > :26:43.what a stop, what a save, what a fantastic save by Scott Maclachlan.

:26:44. > :26:50.To make efforts at that and he eventually got it away. A really

:26:51. > :26:56.good shot from Fraser here. Fantastic save, completes the

:26:57. > :27:00.clearance as well. Some goalkeepers might have put their hand to that,

:27:01. > :27:06.anything around hip height is good for your hands, but he placed the

:27:07. > :27:13.stick confidently, the teenager. It goes again, and again, Inveraray

:27:14. > :27:18.nicked it out. I suspect if you were dictating from the touchline or on

:27:19. > :27:23.the field you would want something around the fact Inveraray have ten

:27:24. > :27:26.players in their own half. A major problem is the Inveraray defence are

:27:27. > :27:28.failing to clear their lines and that's because the Kinlochshiel

:27:29. > :27:34.forwards are putting pressure on them. Another shot, and it feels

:27:35. > :27:38.inevitable another goal will come. As a forward you must defend from

:27:39. > :27:42.the front, you must close the defence down and try to stop them

:27:43. > :27:48.clearing their lines. Kinlochshiel doodad really well. When the ball

:27:49. > :27:52.breaks they are first to it. The whole Inveraray team is starting to

:27:53. > :27:56.fall back to try to get the ball out of the danger area. And as you say,

:27:57. > :28:03.the knock-on effect of that is you are far too deep. There was a shout

:28:04. > :28:10.of two quiet from Inveraray. The team collectively are very quiet.

:28:11. > :28:13.They need to get into the game because Kinlochshiel have it by the

:28:14. > :28:19.scruff of the neck at the moment. That's exactly what they should be

:28:20. > :28:27.doing. Good ball into the middle and a good, solid tackle. Again they

:28:28. > :28:30.concede another corner. I think the Kinlochshiel management must be

:28:31. > :28:34.delighted with the way they have started. A complete difference to

:28:35. > :28:37.the way they approach the Newtonmore game with composure on the ball and

:28:38. > :28:41.looking for the pass in the final third to open up the defence.

:28:42. > :28:44.Lifting their heads and trying to play shinty. They will be delighted.

:28:45. > :28:46.Looking to take advantage of the pressure they have got and get a

:28:47. > :28:58.second goal. Hit straight into the ground! I can

:28:59. > :29:03.remember doing that is not so long ago on the golf course. It's very

:29:04. > :29:08.unusual, I don't think I've seen a player of that class do that before.

:29:09. > :29:12.I think what possibly happen there, the previous corner taken, he

:29:13. > :29:16.created a hole himself to get the ball up into the air, but he curated

:29:17. > :29:23.that big a divot that when he struck it, the ball fell into the holed he

:29:24. > :29:29.created. In golf he might have had a stroke penalty or two stroke

:29:30. > :29:40.penalty. I know the feeling. Sticks away. A head injury to boot. Gary

:29:41. > :29:44.MacPherson. With the helmet as well. We can have a look at how this

:29:45. > :29:48.happened. A fair contest. Challenging in the air and what

:29:49. > :29:52.happened is John McCrea swung through with a bit more power. Gary

:29:53. > :29:57.was going to pull the ball down and with John's swing coming through, it

:29:58. > :30:02.broke Gary's stick and Gary got it on the head. That's the benefit of

:30:03. > :30:08.wearing helmets and face guards. It can stop a nasty injury. We will go

:30:09. > :30:16.down to the touchline and have a word with Gary. What do you make of

:30:17. > :30:22.the pattern of the play at the moment? I think you have summed it

:30:23. > :30:25.up well in your commentary that Inveraray are just dropping deeper

:30:26. > :30:32.and deeper and they just can't get out of defence. It reminds me very

:30:33. > :30:37.much of last year's MacAulay Cup final, Inveraray were under the cosh

:30:38. > :30:41.for a long period. I think Fraser mentioned the worrying thing of

:30:42. > :30:46.Kinlochshiel getting shots off, so they are turning the pressure into

:30:47. > :30:52.shots. If it continues this way then it will only be one way traffic. On

:30:53. > :30:59.the injury, if they lose, as there seems to be a slight concern about

:31:00. > :31:02.the cut, if they lose somebody like Gary MacPherson at this stage, what

:31:03. > :31:10.kind of implications could that have? Gary would be a major blow. As

:31:11. > :31:15.we said before the game, Gary is dropping deeper, so he's playing a

:31:16. > :31:18.more central role, unusual to see him there but it's probably down to

:31:19. > :31:23.the thickness of other players rather than the thickness of Gary.

:31:24. > :31:27.He's got to get into the game and start competing with Finlay, start

:31:28. > :31:30.winning the ball. More importantly, he's probably got to get his wing

:31:31. > :31:40.centres up the pitch and winning the ball. Thanks, Gary. Treating the

:31:41. > :31:45.injured player. Joanne Robinson, her brother plays the Newtonmore, and

:31:46. > :31:48.will be playing in the Camanachd cup final. The fiancee of David

:31:49. > :31:55.Robertson, who is down there just now. I think we'll see David

:31:56. > :32:00.MacPherson coming on. No surprise in terms of position, but it's a blow

:32:01. > :32:04.if Gary MacPherson has to go off. Absolutely, Gary is a very gifted

:32:05. > :32:10.player, still has a high level of fitness and is key to Inveraray in

:32:11. > :32:17.area. David McPherson, used to playing on the wing, but Inveraray

:32:18. > :32:20.could be forced into this change with Gary coming. I would be

:32:21. > :32:24.surprised, it would have to be a serious injury for Gary to decide to

:32:25. > :32:28.leave the field altogether. Gary is a tough character and will want to

:32:29. > :32:34.play this match. We will see what develops. The ball comes up, the

:32:35. > :32:37.swing from John MacRae. We think is knee caught him on the way through.

:32:38. > :32:42.It's hard to see but it wasn't a direct hit.

:32:43. > :32:49.A consequence of the two players swinging through, when one since

:32:50. > :32:53.with force, you can get a deflection off the state and the stick

:32:54. > :32:58.obviously broke there as well. Again, Gary is wearing a helmet, he

:32:59. > :33:01.is wearing a face guard and though he has an injury, it is nowhere near

:33:02. > :33:06.as serious as if he was not wearing a helmet or face guard. His day is

:33:07. > :33:14.partially done because he's taking no further part in the game in the

:33:15. > :33:19.foreseeable future. It certainly cannot be repaired on the field. I

:33:20. > :33:32.don't think there is any urgency about this. David MacPherson has

:33:33. > :33:40.come on, number 13. An unfortunate end to Garry MacPherson's day and

:33:41. > :33:46.hopefully we may see him back again. The play has restarted in the

:33:47. > :33:49.midfield with the throw up because as with any head injury, a very

:33:50. > :33:58.quick stoppage which has added four minutes. That disruption will not

:33:59. > :34:03.help the players of either side. Always a disruption when players go

:34:04. > :34:08.off. Unfortunately for Inveraray, they have lost Gary but in terms of

:34:09. > :34:12.the purpose, Kinlochshiel head-mounted so much pressure and we

:34:13. > :34:20.will see if they can regain ascendancy here. In the middle.

:34:21. > :34:25.Dealing with MacPherson at the moment. Try to see if they can do

:34:26. > :34:29.anything to get him back on the field. Here is MacPherson, his first

:34:30. > :34:35.contribution. He will give it everything. Kinlochshiel ruling the

:34:36. > :34:47.roost in midfield at the moment and that is giving them a huge amount of

:34:48. > :34:53.possession upfront. Paul's Ali Munro therefore going around the back of

:34:54. > :35:02.Jordan Fraser who is contributing much more. Definitely, he is getting

:35:03. > :35:12.first to the ball and if he loses it is then putting a challenging which

:35:13. > :35:16.has put the Inveraray defence under a lot of pressure. Shorts. Again it

:35:17. > :35:27.is the keeper busy busy boy. And he did well there. Good effort. A short

:35:28. > :35:33.three hits there, a good save but it breaks off young Oliver MacRae who

:35:34. > :35:38.tries to play to run the goalkeeper. Scott MacLachlan put enough pressure

:35:39. > :35:41.so it can get under it but with that break, Kinlochshiel are straight in

:35:42. > :35:46.the attack, the momentum has not been stopped. I suspect young Oliver

:35:47. > :35:50.MacRae's father would have thrown some thing at the television at that

:35:51. > :35:56.point because Oliver never put the ball in the net. They can sort that

:35:57. > :36:02.out later on. Just important now that Inveraray playback into game.

:36:03. > :36:07.Some discussion on the bed as to what will happen with MacPherson.

:36:08. > :36:17.Whether he will be taken to hospital for medical attention or another

:36:18. > :36:25.solution. They very high ball. Good blog. Munro is a key figure at the

:36:26. > :36:30.moment, punching above its weight in the back and they are not the

:36:31. > :36:34.biggest players on the feared that they tackle like nothing on earth

:36:35. > :36:40.but it'll be difficult for them to keep going against this pressure.

:36:41. > :36:44.The challenges that are going in, they are bound to get fatigued and

:36:45. > :36:49.when you get fatigued and tidied our bounty make mistakes. They would

:36:50. > :36:55.take advantage of these so they will have to find a way to relieve the

:36:56. > :37:06.pressure. At the moment they are first to the ball, getting

:37:07. > :37:09.challenges an. -- in. Inveraray very fortunate they have someone like

:37:10. > :37:13.Joanne Robinson who works in the health service, she's a nurse so

:37:14. > :37:24.Garry MacPherson currently getting the best attention. Inveraray just

:37:25. > :37:29.can't get the ball. That is the problem, when they do get it they

:37:30. > :37:32.cannot get the ball away far enough to trouble Kinlochshiel. Kennedy

:37:33. > :37:37.steps in and that is the kind of blow they need at this stage. Again

:37:38. > :37:42.it turned with interest but here it is the old Kinlochshiel way of

:37:43. > :37:46.hitting the ball up the middle of the field. That has to stop or they

:37:47. > :37:55.will suffocate themselves. They needed to open the up. There is that

:37:56. > :38:04.physical challenge that we spoke about. There was an indication. He

:38:05. > :38:08.has the potential to cause trouble. He should've played that alpha

:38:09. > :38:15.recorder when he was under pressure initially and he didn't. It was

:38:16. > :38:24.actually a chance. Inveraray have a corner. Good low fastball. Again

:38:25. > :38:33.just the composure from Kinlochshiel has gone from the present but that

:38:34. > :38:37.is a better ball. The passing is beginning to break down a bit as

:38:38. > :38:48.Oliver MacRae swing sets way out why. Turns his man-size. -- his man

:38:49. > :38:56.twice. One step too many. One turn to many. Close down by Gordon

:38:57. > :39:03.MacDonald and a chance again. They are putting their bodies on the line

:39:04. > :39:11.team 1-macro. Off they go again. -- Inveraray. A chance now for Oliver

:39:12. > :39:16.MacRae. Didn't pull the trigger. Mike sent it off, anywhere would do

:39:17. > :39:21.at the moment because it is just impossible to find one of their own

:39:22. > :39:28.players. David MacPherson has moved to try to shore things up. In

:39:29. > :39:36.reality playing full centre and ages trying to stem the constant flow of

:39:37. > :39:40.pressure. The length of the stride which Donald Nixon has. He has

:39:41. > :39:46.gobbled up the ground there. Has got himself into a position where he can

:39:47. > :39:50.win the tackle. That is where the workrate is fantastic at the moment

:39:51. > :39:55.from Kinlochshiel. They are playing at a high tempo and are struggling

:39:56. > :40:00.to contain. They first to the second as well and that has put Inveraray

:40:01. > :40:05.under a lot of pressure, what we have seen now after the pressure is

:40:06. > :40:09.there making the wrong decision when it comes to passes but that is

:40:10. > :40:15.purely because Kinlochshiel are on top of them all the time. As we pick

:40:16. > :40:24.up the game again from Kinlochshiel. Blasted wide. It has been confirmed

:40:25. > :40:27.from the Inveraray bench that Garry MacPherson he may see they're

:40:28. > :40:30.getting attention from some of the local medics, he will not be

:40:31. > :40:46.returning so his day is done. A big ask from people like John

:40:47. > :40:51.Kennedy in the middle now and Montgomery. They have two step up to

:40:52. > :40:56.the plate and the two diminutive fullbacks Munro and Nicholas

:40:57. > :41:01.Crawford will have a very busy day. A second goal for Kinlochshiel.

:41:02. > :41:08.Jordan Fraser was wide awake and fully alert and he has dispatched

:41:09. > :41:13.the second strike for the team from Wester Ross after 27.5 minutes. They

:41:14. > :41:19.lead the Macauley Cook final 2-0. A beautiful move. -- Macauley Cook up.

:41:20. > :41:25.He started the move played it into John MacRae, he played a ball back

:41:26. > :41:29.to him answer by the finish. That is the type of Inveraray they are

:41:30. > :41:37.capable of and he must be delighted they are doing it on a big stage. A

:41:38. > :41:48.big stage, completely exposed as far as Inveraray are concerned. Here

:41:49. > :41:53.they come again. Testing the Inveraray keeper there.

:41:54. > :42:03.A nudge from the elbow there. The hand on the shoulder didn't push

:42:04. > :42:11.over. What would you do to Inveraray to help? What they need to do our

:42:12. > :42:15.get stronger players further back. People say you put your stronger

:42:16. > :42:22.players back and you give away the game, you are not, Inveraray have to

:42:23. > :42:28.stem the tide. Alan MacDonald is a very strong defender. That this is

:42:29. > :42:31.traditional position and even Lewis MacNicol as well so they have

:42:32. > :42:36.options but at the moment they need to stem that time. They need to get

:42:37. > :42:41.the ball up front in MacDonald. That is one of the things they need to

:42:42. > :42:47.do. Here's David Robinson. The ball is, can they keep it up there? I

:42:48. > :43:00.think Inveraray have to score next, that is the long and short of it.

:43:01. > :43:03.Trying to manoeuvre return. Again Kinlochshiel not quite getting it

:43:04. > :43:11.away but a bit of a lift. That's all we can say. What you're seeing here

:43:12. > :43:15.Kinlochshiel being the fit and sharper team and Inveraray have to

:43:16. > :43:19.come up with a way contending. To me the most straightforward way is the

:43:20. > :43:23.use of the ball. They have to use the ball well when they get and try

:43:24. > :43:26.to move Kinlochshiel around and create gaps, even at the moment when

:43:27. > :43:36.Inveraray have the ball they are not using it well. Kinlochshiel are

:43:37. > :43:40.moving its perfect. Perfect playing conditions, a glimpse of the sun

:43:41. > :43:52.wouldn't go amiss. However overhead is good. The picture is absolutely

:43:53. > :44:01.perfect. They will be in no hurry, especially the keeper. They just

:44:02. > :44:06.need to steady the ship. When you talk about conditions, wind can play

:44:07. > :44:08.a factor in the game and Kinlochshiel are dominating because

:44:09. > :44:14.of the wind but that isn't a factor, it is purely because they are the

:44:15. > :44:18.better team so Inveraray don't have the opportunity to say we will have

:44:19. > :44:23.the wind in the second. Nicholas Dando goes to ground there. Coming

:44:24. > :44:32.back to play in the middle to try to open up a bit of the strength that

:44:33. > :44:37.Fraser Ingles mentioned. Just a little bit of frustration they try

:44:38. > :44:41.to get himself moving. I haven't done the sample at the centre line

:44:42. > :44:51.looks to be something like David MacPherson, Douglas Dando and Lewis

:44:52. > :44:59.MacNicol. The average age has crept up rather significantly. The mileage

:45:00. > :45:04.in the legs correspondingly. Here is one of them he can keep it going

:45:05. > :45:14.through while anyway. Doesn't have the engine he used to. Needs a child

:45:15. > :45:24.play himself in. Moving it down the wing. No messing there from Nicholas

:45:25. > :45:34.Crawford. Always gets on about things. That is a slack ball and a

:45:35. > :45:37.poor ball from Donald Nixon because this tends to happen, F1 team

:45:38. > :45:43.dominates you get so much ball you don't know what to do with its you

:45:44. > :45:45.have to kind of... Sometimes to be decisive the less time you have you

:45:46. > :45:51.just choose one option where the more time you have you can get

:45:52. > :46:01.caught in two minds. Jordan Fraser is really playing well for

:46:02. > :46:05.Kinlochshiel. A good effort from the number seven John MacRae. No

:46:06. > :46:07.shortage of firepower but there is a feeling that Kinlochshiel do not

:46:08. > :46:12.score as many as they showed over the peace? Perhaps not, the wee

:46:13. > :46:19.elements of composure could be the option. Composing and striking the

:46:20. > :46:22.ball but you have to look in Kinlochshiel going forward, if they

:46:23. > :46:27.win you can imagine the confidence going forward for the next few

:46:28. > :46:33.seasons. 30 girls they have scored in the Premier League this year and

:46:34. > :46:38.14 games so they're not scoring two goals a game, the weather hasn't

:46:39. > :46:43.held them back because they have done exceptionally well. -- 30

:46:44. > :46:51.goals. The second attempt. That's a goal. Out of absolutely nothing. It

:46:52. > :46:58.is the captain Alan MacDonald fired it in, it came off the post and all

:46:59. > :47:03.of a sudden Inveraray are back in. The interesting thing is he hits the

:47:04. > :47:06.first shot on one side, quite vicious bounce in front of the

:47:07. > :47:12.goalkeeper, I think you could put that down purely to Kinlochshiel

:47:13. > :47:19.having complacent defence. Even the goalkeeper didn't seem to be fully

:47:20. > :47:30.concentrating. Great for Inveraray. Let's see if that can give them a

:47:31. > :47:32.boost. 34 minutes gone. All of a sudden the yellow and black 's are

:47:33. > :47:48.in the ascendancy. Another great chance for them, oh

:47:49. > :47:59.yes! All of a sudden we have game on. Oh my goodness, what a strike

:48:00. > :48:03.from Fraser Watts. Left-hand side, roof of the net and no chance for

:48:04. > :48:10.Kennedy in goal. Good play by McDonald again. Fraser Watts on the

:48:11. > :48:16.run, fantastic. 2-2, and we have a game on our hands. It was the turn,

:48:17. > :48:21.using the full-back off the ball and creating the space but he still had

:48:22. > :48:25.to execute the finish. The intelligence of our McDonald to buy

:48:26. > :48:29.a simple ball, make the defender defend, the defender can cope.

:48:30. > :48:35.Fraser what was first onto it and make no mistake. Two goals in a

:48:36. > :48:42.minute from Inveraray, turning this game on its head for the time being

:48:43. > :48:45.anyway. Fraser Ingles mentioned the word complacency. I think there was

:48:46. > :48:51.an element of that in at least one of the goals. But that was an

:48:52. > :49:01.exquisite finish. Tremendous strike by the young fella. Famous name in

:49:02. > :49:13.Inveraray's history, the Watt name, a whole string of brothers. Another

:49:14. > :49:19.one, just 18. At the other end the pressure builds up because that will

:49:20. > :49:24.surely have stunned Kinlochshiel. Down below us, the unfortunate Gary

:49:25. > :49:32.MacPherson is being treated by the medics. At least he now has the

:49:33. > :49:37.consolation of knowing that his team-mates are back in the game. I'm

:49:38. > :49:42.sure it's the last thing on his mind in a way, but he must be aware of

:49:43. > :49:48.what's going on round about him. Unfortunate scenes. A real shame for

:49:49. > :49:54.Gary. One of the most outstanding players of his generation, Gary

:49:55. > :49:57.McPherson. An outstanding player, a contemporary of mine, I always

:49:58. > :50:02.admired him, and it would be sad if this was his last game, his last big

:50:03. > :50:11.game, for it to end this way. Questions being asked of both teams.

:50:12. > :50:19.Wood is flying everywhere at the moment. A gap opening here, and

:50:20. > :50:26.there are no prisoners being taken now. There's not. Unfortunately for

:50:27. > :50:31.Inveraray, Kinlochshiel players are able to run through far too easily.

:50:32. > :50:38.Oliver MacRae, defenders running, nobody gets a tackle and in the end

:50:39. > :50:43.Kennedy blocks him. It's vital in Ferreri don't concede and end up 3-2

:50:44. > :50:47.behind at half-time. To get back in the game when they were so utterly

:50:48. > :50:51.dominated, psychologically to lose a goal now would be a major blow. They

:50:52. > :50:55.have every right to be in the position they are in because they

:50:56. > :51:04.have played themselves back into it. Taken their chances. MacRae allows

:51:05. > :51:11.that role and Robertson is furious. The Inveraray bench to a man, roars

:51:12. > :51:22.in unison to berate the match official. I couldn't see what

:51:23. > :51:26.happened! This is what happened. Inveraray feel that Robertson was

:51:27. > :51:34.obstructed going for the ball. As Evan MacRae explained there,

:51:35. > :51:38.MacKenzie had his back to Evan MacRae so he couldn't see what

:51:39. > :51:45.happened but Inveraray still I rake they couldn't get it. -- I rate that

:51:46. > :51:58.they couldn't get it. Kennedy launches one of the

:51:59. > :52:05.right-hand side. Drifted in towards the middle of the field. Screams

:52:06. > :52:15.from the touchline to get it out of the side. Keeper is in trouble here.

:52:16. > :52:21.He dealt with the first one and the second one. He's having a great

:52:22. > :52:26.game, Young Scott MacLachlan. Taking a knock-on the knee. John MacRae

:52:27. > :52:30.turns on this, a good shot, bounces just in front of him and he copes

:52:31. > :52:34.with it. Gets the clearance away but I think the stick came through and

:52:35. > :52:38.caught him. Dangerous ball for the goalkeeper to deal with when it

:52:39. > :52:47.bounced. When the challenge came in from Keith MacRae, I think he caught

:52:48. > :52:50.him on the knee. Always a difficult situation with the keeper, people

:52:51. > :52:56.thundering in on top of you like that. The suggestion you want the

:52:57. > :53:02.keeper to remember that the next time the ball is around his feet.

:53:03. > :53:06.Another corner for Kinlochshiel. Drops in the danger area, but it is

:53:07. > :53:16.dealt with in a much better way by Inveraray. Young MacKenzie caught

:53:17. > :53:22.between two players and had to ramp up the opponent, clever play by

:53:23. > :53:26.McDonald's, the number eight below us for Inveraray, who knew that if

:53:27. > :53:34.he held the ball he would have to be fouled to slow him down. Now they

:53:35. > :53:39.have a chance to swing it up to Dando, one of the cleanest hitters

:53:40. > :53:44.in the game, a beautiful swing. Drops it near McDonald, trying to

:53:45. > :53:48.get him involved in the game again. Two Kinlochshiel players immediately

:53:49. > :53:59.on top of him. Looking for help from the referee. You all know the game!

:54:00. > :54:02.Kinlochshiel now aware of the danger McDonald represents. They are

:54:03. > :54:10.getting men across the cover when he gets near the ball. Kinlochshiel

:54:11. > :54:21.defending in twos. Interesting tactic. Kennedy managing to slowed

:54:22. > :54:29.Keith MacRae down if nothing else. Kennedy getting through a power of

:54:30. > :54:37.work in the middle of defence. Better ball out towards the wing.

:54:38. > :54:42.Two number eights fight for it. Inveraray beginning to move the ball

:54:43. > :54:49.a little bit. Always seems to be a redshirt spare.

:54:50. > :55:00.Fantastic play from Crawford. Always seems to emerge with the ball. Good

:55:01. > :55:07.luck, the stick bounced up in his hands amazingly for Watt.

:55:08. > :55:13.Three Kinlochshiel players it took to get that away. A chance for

:55:14. > :55:19.Oliver MacRae to move it on. Since it out Keith MacRae, but it's too

:55:20. > :55:23.fast. A bit scrappy now, but that's kind of opening the game up. It's

:55:24. > :55:28.really for somebody to grab it and slow it down and starts knocking it

:55:29. > :55:32.about a bit. The last couple of minutes was quite interesting, much

:55:33. > :55:37.more of an evenly balanced game. We have seen the ball so much in the

:55:38. > :55:40.Inveraray defence having to deal with it. The last couple of minutes,

:55:41. > :55:46.challenges in midfield and it's been quite even. Inveraray with their

:55:47. > :55:51.goals, they might be more confident, feeling more composure. Beginning to

:55:52. > :55:57.find their team-mates with a bit more regularity now. Cannot she'll

:55:58. > :56:01.having to work harder to get the ball. You certainly feel that the

:56:02. > :56:05.referee Evan MacRae is not giving them the rub of the green. Even if

:56:06. > :56:13.he is wearing the Inveraray colours, which I find highly amusing. I spoke

:56:14. > :56:20.to him earlier, the referees wearing yellow and black. Felt it was a foul

:56:21. > :56:36.on the back of McNicoll. Dave the fowl. -- gave the

:56:37. > :56:42.foul. Now Inveraray are back in the game, they can't allow decisions to

:56:43. > :56:46.go against them, they just have to get on with it. Just a few minutes

:56:47. > :56:58.to go to half-time. Undoubtedly some extra time, added injury time. Gary

:56:59. > :57:02.MacPherson's unfortunate departure. There could be as much as five

:57:03. > :57:07.minutes of that to come in addition to the two left. Oliver MacRae, a

:57:08. > :57:11.bit more composure there looking for somebody running off the ball, they

:57:12. > :57:19.have people running in all sorts of directions here. Keith MacRae takes

:57:20. > :57:24.the direct option. His stick was flying. Important for Kinlochshiel

:57:25. > :57:27.not to lose their composure in terms of being frustrated. Because

:57:28. > :57:33.Inveraray will frustrate them all day. Kinlochshiel have done

:57:34. > :57:38.fantastically well, two goals up, and all of a sudden it's 2-2. How

:57:39. > :57:42.did this happen? You can start to get frustrated with team-mates and

:57:43. > :57:50.the referee. I think there is a booking here for number five, John

:57:51. > :58:00.Kennedy. Well, the Baftas weren't too clever. A

:58:01. > :58:13.think that wasn't too clever. -- the afters. We think it's just John

:58:14. > :58:19.Kennedy that has been booked. We will confirm that at half-time with

:58:20. > :58:29.the fourth official. Certainly John Kennedy has been booked. We are into

:58:30. > :58:30.the final minute of regular time. And we will have at least five

:58:31. > :58:46.minutes of injury time to play. There is a stramash and a half. Just

:58:47. > :58:52.had to leave that until they sorted it out. Eventually came to nothing.

:58:53. > :58:58.I think I could Evan MacRae say they would be having four minutes of

:58:59. > :59:09.injury time, it's up as five so we will see what happens. Settle for

:59:10. > :59:15.six probably. If I remember rightly, that we are no strangers to

:59:16. > :59:19.confusion in the MacAulay Cup final. Never relying on the one-stop watch

:59:20. > :59:23.is a good idea. Unfortunately that happened in a previous MacAulay Cup

:59:24. > :59:28.final. I think procedures have been put in place to make sure that

:59:29. > :59:34.doesn't happen again. Was it five minutes out or something? It was a

:59:35. > :59:38.long time ago. What a magnificent strike the young 18-year-old house,

:59:39. > :59:45.clearing halfway every time with his hit outs, Scott MacLachlan.

:59:46. > :59:51.Confirming it was one booking, John Kennedy, the only bookings so far.

:59:52. > :00:00.Tense contest now. No quarter is being given. Oh! Again! Out of

:00:01. > :00:07.absolutely nothing, a complete lash from Jordan Fraser. Where did you

:00:08. > :00:12.find that one? He has been the big danger man, turning his man and what

:00:13. > :00:18.a strike in off the post. Gets it under control, turns to his right

:00:19. > :00:23.and it's gone. No chance. One of the beauties of the Moss Fields Park,

:00:24. > :00:33.you can get the strike of the stanchion, the ring off the metal.

:00:34. > :00:40.-- the Moss Fields Park. We are into injury time in this 2016 MacAulay

:00:41. > :00:44.Cup final. Now the game has swung once, twice, and it could now be

:00:45. > :00:49.swinging a third time. Psychologically you would always

:00:50. > :00:58.want to pull a faith stunt like that, final whistle. Both teams

:00:59. > :01:03.going at half-time at 2-2, in Ferrari will say they were dominated

:01:04. > :01:06.but they are drawing. Now we probably have a fairer reflection of

:01:07. > :01:12.the first half with Kinlochshiel in the lead. If they got another this

:01:13. > :01:18.would be interesting. Keith MacRae doesn't quite catch it but makes

:01:19. > :01:26.Scott MacLachlan clear it. Just going over slightly here at

:01:27. > :01:31.Mossfield. There might be the hint of a shower coming. Another good

:01:32. > :01:37.save from Scott MacLachlan. You have to say that for a boy of 18 he is

:01:38. > :01:44.showing great composure today. For all the goals from Kinlochshiel,

:01:45. > :01:51.he's had little chance at them. That was a finish and a half from Jordan

:01:52. > :01:55.Fraser. The way he's playing, you wouldn't bet against him completing

:01:56. > :02:04.a hat-trick by the end of the day. In the last minute of play, we

:02:05. > :02:08.think, and the wind is stiffening behind the corner flag. And Evan

:02:09. > :02:14.MacRae decides that's enough. Colin Fraser, the Kinlochshiel manager,

:02:15. > :02:22.with a round of applause for his team. Because they have gone from

:02:23. > :02:25.2-0 to 2-2, to come in at half-time leading 3-2 at Mossfield Park in

:02:26. > :02:36.quite a pulsating first half. A very eventful first half which has

:02:37. > :02:42.Kinlochshiel with that narrow lead as we go into the interval. Halfway

:02:43. > :02:46.there to winning the first senior Shinty Trophy, a few twists and

:02:47. > :02:52.turns to come in this match and that is for sure. I'm joined once again

:02:53. > :02:57.by the former Scotland under 21 manager. Tales of the unexpected

:02:58. > :03:02.there, we thought Kinlochshiel would want run away but that was not the

:03:03. > :03:07.case. I thought the game was done and dusted and Kinlochshiel may be

:03:08. > :03:12.thought that switched from moments. Alan MacDonald popped out and he is

:03:13. > :03:16.definitely a danger there is Inveraray can get in the ball but

:03:17. > :03:22.Kinlochshiel have been dominant. They have had nearly 20 shots on

:03:23. > :03:28.goal and that is, Inveraray have two push out and get the ball up.

:03:29. > :03:35.Kinlochshiel started in the way we expected and they took the lead and

:03:36. > :03:40.it was impressive. It was. We are thrilled to bits of composure and

:03:41. > :03:46.they missed the chance earlier from inside the deed but then they kept

:03:47. > :03:49.on having the chances and actually in this chance, two of them could

:03:50. > :03:53.have a go and they were competing to see you could hit it and Keith just

:03:54. > :04:00.got there and the ball dipped and Scots could not get down. So many

:04:01. > :04:05.MacRae's but then Jordan Fraser who have final say, he made 2-0. And

:04:06. > :04:14.this has been one of the best parts of the game. Jordan started it, they

:04:15. > :04:18.had a great ball from John MacRae has been excellent and Jordan

:04:19. > :04:21.finished well. Absolutely add at this point Kinlochshiel look like

:04:22. > :04:28.they were the favourites that would go on to win the McAuley cup final.

:04:29. > :04:33.How things can change in sports. An incredible comeback, almost out of

:04:34. > :04:41.nothing. It was extremely out of nothing. They had no phase of play

:04:42. > :04:46.at all. They suddenly get the ball to Alan MacDonald, he has a go on

:04:47. > :04:50.one side cover free bounce to him on the other in the bottom corner and

:04:51. > :05:00.he will take that. I would say that is a defenders goal. It's gave them

:05:01. > :05:05.a lift. We spoke about it before, 58 seconds later it was all square.

:05:06. > :05:14.Again Allen is key to that, gets the ball across, always danger and the

:05:15. > :05:20.innocence all the youth of Fraser just hit the ball and it went

:05:21. > :05:25.higher, a brilliant goal. One of those he knew was destined for the

:05:26. > :05:30.back of the net. In the edit Kinlochshiel came back and just

:05:31. > :05:37.before half-time, vital goal. Yes and Jordan Fraser's play, merited

:05:38. > :05:44.getting the goal out of this. Again Inveraray are standing off at the

:05:45. > :05:48.back, do become far too much room. He turns on his side and it's a

:05:49. > :05:55.cracking goal, you cannot blame the goalie for that one. He is on his

:05:56. > :06:00.18th birthday, nothing much you could do about that. He has been

:06:01. > :06:07.very solid. A young goalkeeper with immense talents. When Inveraray

:06:08. > :06:10.lost, Graham MacPherson you didn't think there would be a natural

:06:11. > :06:14.replace about Scott stepped up, he has been very solid, he has done

:06:15. > :06:20.simple things, nothing spectacular but they are keeping the ball out.

:06:21. > :06:25.We will see some action shortly but the McCauley cup is massive, but in

:06:26. > :06:27.two weeks' time we have a bigger cup which we will cover for the BBC.

:06:28. > :06:40.Highlights of both semifinals now. Both teams plenty of chances. A

:06:41. > :06:47.great shots. Glenn Mackintosh created that from nothing. Looks as

:06:48. > :06:55.Scott Kennedy may have it. A splendid finish. The keeper

:06:56. > :07:06.disappointed. Across it comes. Neil Stewart. 2-0. What a finish on the

:07:07. > :07:14.young fellow. The corner came over, Kinlochshiel made a hash of it, good

:07:15. > :07:21.goal. Set piece, running out of time, supermarket. MacRae has done

:07:22. > :07:29.it. Keith MacRae has slipped a marker for a rare opportunity.

:07:30. > :07:42.Skipped over the back. In it goes. They're the final whistle.

:07:43. > :07:54.Scott McMillan with the corner from the right hand side. Good shots.

:07:55. > :07:59.Good goal. That is the opening. Calum MacDonald might have had a

:08:00. > :08:07.touch as it dropped. Took it on the backhand. A deflection. Sean

:08:08. > :08:24.Nicholson. The backhand. Delaney has equalised. The big fellow strikes.

:08:25. > :08:33.An innocent looking ball. Good goal. He's in the box and he's beaten him.

:08:34. > :08:34.What skill. His second goal. Didn't seem to be too much trouble there

:08:35. > :08:52.but again he was quick. Neil MacDonald into the box. A big

:08:53. > :09:00.challenge. The flag is up. A bit rash and big Neil MacDonald coming

:09:01. > :09:04.in. What skill from the big fella. Just clicked on. May go down a bit

:09:05. > :09:12.too silly. Delaney has a big chance. Good save. What a save from the

:09:13. > :09:19.keeper. That could be costly. He hit it well enough, both feet on the

:09:20. > :09:26.ball. What Carla have done the best. Another one. Daniel Cameron and I

:09:27. > :09:32.think he may very well have booked them a place in the final. When the

:09:33. > :09:40.ball came over, it was too hot to handle and Daniel Cameron finished

:09:41. > :09:51.it off. Either it comes, jocks nicely. He made a hash of that.

:09:52. > :09:58.Without a shadow of a doubt they are just cruising. Cruising to another

:09:59. > :10:09.place in the final and that is a bad mistake by the keeper. 4-1 down, no

:10:10. > :10:15.much hope for them at this stage I think that in they come driving

:10:16. > :10:23.towards the goal. It's in. It's gone in. I think Delaney got the final

:10:24. > :10:26.touch. She was passed, comes off the post and Delaney was quickest man.

:10:27. > :10:35.And there the final whistle. There we have it, the final will be

:10:36. > :10:58.in two weeks' time live here. I have two SQ, the weather has

:10:59. > :11:04.turned here in Oban, and how. The umbrellas are out in force. The

:11:05. > :11:08.weather can change suddenly from beautiful to very wet indeed and as

:11:09. > :11:15.you can see we are inside our gazebo here. In terms of that cup final,

:11:16. > :11:21.how do you see that game going? If you said to me that Oban would be

:11:22. > :11:28.second in the Premier League and in the final a few years ago I said no

:11:29. > :11:33.chance. It looked like they were going down that there is a great

:11:34. > :11:38.resurgence in Oban Syria finally seeing the top two teams in terms of

:11:39. > :11:45.the Premier League. -- so we are finally. They have to go in as

:11:46. > :11:52.favourites and can Oban make a surprise. Maybe. Back to today, we

:11:53. > :11:56.can see the conditions out there. Lovely farce undercover but not so

:11:57. > :11:59.for the players who are about to play in the second half. How do you

:12:00. > :12:04.see the second of going with a change of conditions? Inveraray have

:12:05. > :12:13.to push forward, luckily they will be used to the rain but, if

:12:14. > :12:18.Kinlochshiel play the same they will win the trophy. Kinlochshiel in the

:12:19. > :12:25.lead. Here are your commentators. COMMENTATOR: The game is underway.

:12:26. > :12:31.The referee has launched the first throw in. The teams have changed

:12:32. > :12:36.ends. Kinlochshiel hitting right to left in the red shirts. Inveraray

:12:37. > :12:42.hitting left to right towards the golf club. They have had to make a

:12:43. > :12:52.series of adjustment in the way they are playing because Garry MacPherson

:12:53. > :12:59.being lost early in the game. We will update you on his condition.

:13:00. > :13:05.The weather conditions for sure will play a big part because it become

:13:06. > :13:12.slippy. No wind thankfully, no driving rain to fire the either

:13:13. > :13:15.side. -- to favour. The torrential rain was forecast and said it would

:13:16. > :13:21.run into the middle and that is a better clearance by John Kennedy.

:13:22. > :13:27.Just an update on Garry MacPherson, we understand he has been taken to

:13:28. > :13:35.hospital. Been given some attention to an injury blow his eye. There was

:13:36. > :13:41.some bleeding there needed to be dealt with and he is away for the

:13:42. > :13:51.attention of the local hospital which is meant David MacPherson came

:13:52. > :13:57.on. He is helping shore up the midfield, a crucial area, Douglas

:13:58. > :14:06.Dando has moved into close centre. The first half is a story of two

:14:07. > :14:14.goals. Then we had the strike from Jordan Fraser. He gave way out of

:14:15. > :14:20.his goal and Jordan Fraser sent it into the side netting, could he have

:14:21. > :14:24.done better there? Perhaps. He only missed by a small amount but from

:14:25. > :14:28.the point of view from Inveraray, Nicholas Crawford is struggling

:14:29. > :14:34.against Jordan Fraser simply because Jordan Fraser is bigger and stronger

:14:35. > :14:38.and he is playing well today. Inveraray will have to think maybe

:14:39. > :14:44.John Kennedy is a better matchup against Fraser because Nicholas is a

:14:45. > :14:49.good player but is too strong from. A good example of what he's talking

:14:50. > :14:55.about. Crawford struggling to keep up with Fraser and he's lost them.

:14:56. > :15:00.He's lost them again. If they give this man, he is on fire today, so

:15:01. > :15:05.much better than he was in the last match. Definitely, already a major

:15:06. > :15:11.contender for man of the match with the way he has played. Nicholas

:15:12. > :15:17.Crawford, they are insisting playing him against Jordan Fraser. Didn't

:15:18. > :15:22.catch this too well but already he has shown a lot of play he did in

:15:23. > :15:28.the first half and they cannot let it continue. Kinlochshiel again

:15:29. > :15:35.strongly midfield and the fairness I suspect would be better over the 90

:15:36. > :15:40.minutes. Or whatever is added. Could conceivably go into extra time. 30

:15:41. > :15:51.minutes and then the dreaded prospect of penalties. All are still

:15:52. > :16:07.up in the air. 3-2 is the score. That has featured in every game they

:16:08. > :16:12.have played. Kennedy. He has to dominate that area of the field if

:16:13. > :16:17.they are to come out. The rain I venture to suggest is easing off, a

:16:18. > :16:23.good deal lighter and you get the best from the camera but has been

:16:24. > :16:27.duller than its may have looked but looking much better now. Here's a

:16:28. > :16:30.good ball out to the left, the keeper is off his line. He got away

:16:31. > :16:42.with it, nobody at home at the moment. Here is the tacky, Oliver

:16:43. > :16:55.MacRae is the first of shots which is blocked. Their determination and

:16:56. > :17:00.will to get, challenges in and putting Inveraray under a lot of

:17:01. > :17:15.pressure. Taking a little bit too much time. That is just a bit

:17:16. > :17:25.ambitious. Plenty to think about for Ruaraidh Graham there. He could

:17:26. > :17:29.conceivably come on. Definitely he has a lot to come on, really good

:17:30. > :17:37.user of the ball, distributes it well and he would be a good

:17:38. > :17:40.addition. The major problem at the moment is Jordan Fraser, he is

:17:41. > :17:45.winning far too much of the ball when it comes to the forward line

:17:46. > :17:50.and if that continues Inveraray are in trouble.

:17:51. > :17:56.They have actually taken him out of the wing. Most of his threat in the

:17:57. > :18:04.first half was from full forward, the furthest forward position in the

:18:05. > :18:07.formation, and then playing with 3/2 forward immediately behind that.

:18:08. > :18:12.Tillich she'll have stuck to that formation, not changing to the two

:18:13. > :18:21.and two of the Southern formation that Inveraray would prefer to

:18:22. > :18:23.defend. That contest again, Munro coming out on top, he has tackled

:18:24. > :18:32.well, moved the ball on. MacRae is beginning to dominate

:18:33. > :18:48.midfield. Another 40 or 50 quid goes adrift,

:18:49. > :18:54.another stick broken. Kennedy in trouble. He has been booked, and

:18:55. > :18:56.played on. What's he going to do in terms of him swinging with a broken

:18:57. > :19:29.stick? The goal judge has come out. that's what's left of it. Half of

:19:30. > :19:33.it. Evan MacRae has decided to take no decision. Effectively he will

:19:34. > :19:37.throw up the ball between two players. There was an issue there.

:19:38. > :19:45.It could have been interesting because Kennedy had been booked by

:19:46. > :19:53.them. I think the goal judge, Wotherspoon, felt there was a player

:19:54. > :20:02.offside. Dealt with safely with his hand this time, Robertson. The

:20:03. > :20:06.suggestion from the goal judge seems to be the offside first ruled out

:20:07. > :20:10.the dangerous swing, if it was that with a broken swing. Inveraray

:20:11. > :20:16.moving the ball up to the other end of the field. The rain is teaming

:20:17. > :20:22.down again. Just in case anyone got the wrong impression from Gary

:20:23. > :20:30.reader, there are days when it doesn't rain in Inveraray

:20:31. > :20:35.Kinlochshiel. For the players, the problem it creates is the grip on

:20:36. > :20:39.the sticks becomes slippery. They can lose grip on the stick and the

:20:40. > :20:44.ball also gets heavier. With the ball made out of natural leather and

:20:45. > :20:49.Cork, the ball soaks up a lot of moisture, so the referee should

:20:50. > :20:54.change the ball on a regular basis to keep the ball moving quickly. The

:20:55. > :20:58.scenes on the ball will split and the water could go in. I think that

:20:59. > :21:06.was a walking stick that was used to send that back on. It was indeed,

:21:07. > :21:22.thank you, Sir. Some fine skill with the crook. I suspect that must be

:21:23. > :21:31.a... Inveraray have a chance. Good from Fraser Watt. Lacked a steady

:21:32. > :21:41.head. The foolhardiness of youth almost took him there. Frustrated by

:21:42. > :21:45.his lack of composure. Fraser is a traditional Inveraray forward,

:21:46. > :21:51.skilful and quick. When he ran through here, it was just the final

:21:52. > :21:59.pass, didn't quite get it. He would have been better to keep going.

:22:00. > :22:03.Already scored one absolute peach today. It brought Inveraray back to

:22:04. > :22:21.2-2. Both sides trying to engineer an

:22:22. > :22:28.opening. That was high. It was the way he was running and the angle he

:22:29. > :22:35.caught him. A bit of afters. Unnecessary from both players at

:22:36. > :22:38.that stage. The first initial fall by Alan McDonald. Alan probably

:22:39. > :22:45.stays on top for a bit too long. When they get up, Mark McDonald hits

:22:46. > :22:52.Alan McDonald with his stick on the lake. The stick hits him on the

:22:53. > :22:57.lake. Alan takes exception to that and pushes Mach back. Not a lot in

:22:58. > :23:08.it that shows the tempers and how they can fray. Never ceases to amaze

:23:09. > :23:15.me how players in all sports these days with cameras all over the place

:23:16. > :23:21.can think they cannot be seen. However, it's been a good game. Well

:23:22. > :23:36.contested, just one booking, John Kennedy of Inveraray. MacKenzie took

:23:37. > :23:50.that one. The referee will speak to the goal judge, the line judge,

:23:51. > :24:00.Allan MacVicar. And Lachey Wood, the fourth official.

:24:01. > :24:10.None of the officials saw what happened. That's what they are

:24:11. > :24:14.saying, they didn't see it. They are not watching what's going on over

:24:15. > :24:19.there. If they are there and the ball is here... I'm surprised Evan

:24:20. > :24:24.MacRae has not consulted with the linesman. I think he did. Alec

:24:25. > :24:31.opened his arms and said he didn't see anything. In that area the

:24:32. > :24:38.players running for the ball tends to carry their sticks high.

:24:39. > :24:47.If we could have another look at that I think what happened there was

:24:48. > :24:52.that one player tried to release, held by another, and in the process

:24:53. > :24:57.of doing that the stick recoiled. Quite unnecessary for the Inveraray

:24:58. > :25:07.goalkeeper to come up and involve himself in something 60 yards away.

:25:08. > :25:14.Absolutely. Here it comes. David Robertson pulling his stick away. I

:25:15. > :25:18.think MacKenzie was possibly grabbing him or had his hand on

:25:19. > :25:24.David's back. To be honest, David's reaction was too much. MacKenzie has

:25:25. > :25:28.then been injured. It is the situation with Gary MacPherson where

:25:29. > :25:34.the game is fast tempo, and when the stick goes in, it might not be the

:25:35. > :25:38.intention but it can result in a serious injury. Unfortunately for

:25:39. > :25:41.MacKenzie, he looks like he will be able to continue, but we hope the

:25:42. > :25:45.game doesn't boil over because of that. Inveraray think it was an

:25:46. > :25:51.accident. Tillich she'll not happy that action hasn't been taken

:25:52. > :25:56.against David Robinson. The manager has come on, Ruaraidh Graham, the

:25:57. > :26:07.player manager has come on for Inveraray. Good save. He got away

:26:08. > :26:12.with that. I think it came off his heel. Didn't quite send it to where

:26:13. > :26:19.he intended. It's gone for a corner, good stop. It comes off the heel of

:26:20. > :26:25.Scott MacLachlan. That can easily end up in the back of the net but

:26:26. > :26:29.went past the post by inches. We have Ruaraidh Graham on the field

:26:30. > :26:42.now for Inveraray. Number 17 joining the fray. That's going to run wide.

:26:43. > :26:47.Interesting there that Jordan Fraser is taking the corners. He's been the

:26:48. > :26:50.biggest danger today for Kinlochshiel. Certainly, that's what

:26:51. > :26:54.they always do, him taking the corners. But I would have him in

:26:55. > :27:01.there with his strength trying to win the ball when it comes across

:27:02. > :27:05.from the corner. Good ball, dropping in midfield. It's getting tough out

:27:06. > :27:10.there. Frustration on all sides. It's all kicking off in the stand.

:27:11. > :27:17.We understand there is a west Coast hen party that has joined the

:27:18. > :27:21.afternoon's proceedings, if I can put it that way. It might be quite a

:27:22. > :27:29.night that entails if the score stays how it is. Or in Oban, who

:27:30. > :27:36.knows? Might hang around for some of that. Off it goes again. Tillich

:27:37. > :27:44.she'll trying to find the gap. They have the pace to stretch the

:27:45. > :27:47.Inveraray defence. Slack ball. It all looked quite promising. One

:27:48. > :27:52.thinking like she'll have to be wary of, we are in the final and

:27:53. > :27:55.everybody wants to score, but the team must come first. Kinlochshiel

:27:56. > :28:00.are starting to shoot from distance now. They have to be on the selfish,

:28:01. > :28:04.try to create opportunities for others, not get drawn into putting

:28:05. > :28:07.your own name on the scoresheet instead of a team-mate. Is that

:28:08. > :28:13.impulse or instruction? Have they been told to do that? Perhaps. But

:28:14. > :28:16.the way they kept pressure on the defence in the first half was far

:28:17. > :28:21.more effective. Sending the ball through and again, it was certainly

:28:22. > :28:28.a solid challenge. Not good in terms of Evan MacRae's decision, which was

:28:29. > :28:36.that it was illegal. That gives Kinlochshiel the chance to create

:28:37. > :28:40.something again. It's in a potentially dangerous area. Far

:28:41. > :28:44.enough out to create something. Looking at the gap that's opened up

:28:45. > :28:49.in front of Oliver MacRae, he has turned his back on the gold to hide

:28:50. > :28:54.it from the goalkeeper. It might or might not be rehearsed, might be

:28:55. > :29:00.total chaos. The ball has to go at least five metres or thereabouts.

:29:01. > :29:06.It's partially rehearsed but badly executed, that's the best I can say

:29:07. > :29:11.about it. Definitely rehearsed. We saw Fraser stood out to the side,

:29:12. > :29:16.not even in the picture. Ball goes into Keith MacRae but he doesn't

:29:17. > :29:23.catch it cleanly. If he had, it might have been different. The

:29:24. > :29:31.player manager under it, MacKenzie. Jordan Fraser takes off up the

:29:32. > :29:37.middle. Didn't use him. Again, just a failure to get the ball away

:29:38. > :29:44.that's making Inveraray having to play all the time. Just forced out

:29:45. > :29:50.Nicholas Crawford, forced over the line. Brightening up again, good

:29:51. > :29:54.news, the umbrellas are coming down. The gay is looking better. Certainly

:29:55. > :30:00.looking good on the West Coast. Tillich she'll leading 3-2, but

:30:01. > :30:08.Inveraray by no means out of it. It goes for another corner. Good shy by

:30:09. > :30:13.Gordon McDonald, into the danger area. It's a good skill to be able

:30:14. > :30:21.to place your in there. All Inveraray can do is knock it out for

:30:22. > :30:26.corner. I don't know if they spend as much time doing it now, but

:30:27. > :30:34.playing a good shy use to be a standard thing, send it on top of

:30:35. > :30:41.the goalkeeper. The Inveraray defence standing firm. MacPherson

:30:42. > :30:50.doesn't quite get it away. David Robertson goes for a wander.

:30:51. > :30:57.One-handed. Couldn't quite hold onto it. Well taken out of the air by

:30:58. > :31:06.MacRae. Still got it. Jordan Fraser again. He has been a regular pain

:31:07. > :31:12.today. He's first to the ball all the time. With his physical strength

:31:13. > :31:15.he can hold off the defence. As a defender you must get to the ball

:31:16. > :31:20.first or try to cut the supply after him. Nicholas Crawford his doing his

:31:21. > :31:23.absolute best but he's at a real disadvantage because he's not as

:31:24. > :31:32.strong as Jordan. Still plenty to play for here. 90 minutes to see out

:31:33. > :31:39.in total. Before any other decisions are taken, if need be. You get the

:31:40. > :31:46.feeling, however, that the next goal will be very important. I think that

:31:47. > :31:51.could be another stick away. A nasty twine as David MacPherson connected

:31:52. > :31:58.with it. He's still got it. Can he still use it? Good play. In the

:31:59. > :32:08.middle of the field by Gordon McDonald. Kinlochshiel, quick flip

:32:09. > :32:13.over the top. Did well to stop that but still a challenge here. Jordan

:32:14. > :32:17.Fraser lines it up and another great stop. It's still there and still in

:32:18. > :32:24.play, and has now been dispatched for a corner.

:32:25. > :32:36.Nice move her, hits a good shot. Right in on top of and somehow did

:32:37. > :32:41.not go in. We saw how it didn't go in but there wasn't much in it. You

:32:42. > :32:48.get the feeling it is the incessant pressure that is going to be the

:32:49. > :33:02.deciding factor. Keith MacRae with the corner. Slightly scuffed that I

:33:03. > :33:12.think. He sneaked in. Unaware to the Mac lets see what the former fastest

:33:13. > :33:16.man in Shinty has left. Used to be known as the fastest man in Shinty

:33:17. > :33:27.because he won a sprint of some kind and again a big appeal for a corner.

:33:28. > :33:30.A lot of Shinty remember in six aside competitions corners would

:33:31. > :33:38.count in you could win a match by one more corner but for 12 side it

:33:39. > :33:43.doesn't come in. Territory rise, Kinlochshiel the better team but

:33:44. > :33:48.Inveraray are in the game so they will be looking to get the fourth

:33:49. > :33:54.goal to kill the game off. Some movement from the Kinlochshiel

:33:55. > :34:02.bench, we will keep an eye on that. Great start. Great stop via

:34:03. > :34:12.MacLachlan. Overhead he gets it away. Dando steps in and launches it

:34:13. > :34:25.in. Kinlochshiel winning all of the bulls in midfield now. And in the

:34:26. > :34:32.middle of the field it is a redshirt nearly every time emerging with the

:34:33. > :34:39.ball. That is a sign of a very difficult 20 minutes left. They are

:34:40. > :34:42.queueing up here again. If that had run out far to the lefty could've

:34:43. > :34:49.been a outcome but you just get the feeling. Absolutely the ball ran

:34:50. > :34:56.through and there is the shock and a fantastic save from Scott MacLachlan

:34:57. > :34:59.with his stick. He is the difference between Kinlochshiel running away ad

:35:00. > :35:07.Inveraray still being in with a chance. Still not on the order of

:35:08. > :35:12.the great performance that we saw from the Connors cup when the

:35:13. > :35:15.goalkeeper single-handedly single-handedly provided everything

:35:16. > :35:19.but it is getting near it's because Scott MacLachlan is producing an

:35:20. > :35:24.outstanding performance in the Inveraray goal keeping it at 3-2.

:35:25. > :35:28.Let's see what he has to offer. He may not contribute much but when he

:35:29. > :35:38.gets there, it's important and influential. Movement on the

:35:39. > :35:47.Kinlochshiel bench. Ali Nixon number 14 is stripping off. He may be next

:35:48. > :35:55.to join the fray. You can see Connor Cormack behind him. -- Connor

:35:56. > :36:05.Cormack. If I write here is the first shots from Inveraray in the

:36:06. > :36:10.second half. Normal service has now been resumed and Kinlochshiel will

:36:11. > :36:14.be looking to adopt a slightly more expansive group now attacking the

:36:15. > :36:20.danger area taking the ball in. Plenty of men here. They have

:36:21. > :36:25.allowed it to be lifted out but this is the difference. Kinlochshiel

:36:26. > :36:36.always seem to have a spare man and it is Finlay MacRae looking for

:36:37. > :36:44.Jordan Fraser. I think Colin Fraser, the Kindle issue manager is just

:36:45. > :36:47.holding on -- Kinlochshiel. Some activity on the Inveraray bench, big

:36:48. > :36:51.debate about who is coming on, who is coming off. Jordan Fraser saying

:36:52. > :37:12.he's injured. David Robinson sent to ground and if

:37:13. > :37:22.you are familiar with it, it's really is taking it out of your legs

:37:23. > :37:25.this pitch. Why don't Kinlochshiel with him forward when he is such an

:37:26. > :37:31.asset but instead they put Keith MacRae in there. A great ball in

:37:32. > :37:44.from Dando and there is a chance. That's a penalty. Now we have a

:37:45. > :37:54.situation. The referee has gone to pick the ball up. I think this is a

:37:55. > :37:59.clear penalty. Looks like it. Paul is down and no doubt about it, a

:38:00. > :38:05.penalty. The young man who has stepped up to the plate is Fraser

:38:06. > :38:13.Watts. He will take on Scott Kennedy. All of the other players

:38:14. > :38:25.have to be behind the D. Outside the main circle. Goal. 3-3. Second goal

:38:26. > :38:30.for Fraser Watts. Could you ask for a cooler finished and that's?

:38:31. > :38:43.Beautifully taken penalty. Here it goes, watch it in. There he goes

:38:44. > :38:49.head down. Follows the swing through and Inigo 's. Let's see what happens

:38:50. > :39:05.here. 15 is Cala Maclean, he is going up

:39:06. > :39:13.into the forward line. -- Callum Maclean. That is two Kinlochshiel

:39:14. > :39:22.subs and less than 20 minutes to play we have a mighty challenge at

:39:23. > :39:36.3-3. So further questions being asked. The composure of Fraser was

:39:37. > :39:40.outstanding there. Tooth ring Jordan Fraser is one of the Kinlochshiel

:39:41. > :39:54.players who was withdrawn, we can see him just below us. When they get

:39:55. > :39:58.the girl as before Inveraray have had a quick step, a bit of a smooth

:39:59. > :40:12.swing. Clean hitting. Faster challenging. Fraser Watt flicks it

:40:13. > :40:20.to MacDonald. Colin MacRae put the stick between his legs, that was a

:40:21. > :40:23.shots worthy of a golf club. Back to his defending days when he is trying

:40:24. > :40:29.to clear lines but again when the ball gets up into the final third.

:40:30. > :40:36.There is danger and they just need to concentrate getting the ball up

:40:37. > :40:45.as often as they can. This magnificent setting of autumnal

:40:46. > :40:50.weather at Mossfield Stadium, a contest on folding because it has

:40:51. > :40:59.gone, the yellow vans in the standard raised the roof to get

:41:00. > :41:08.nowhere. Two lightweight colleagues behind him have done him proud

:41:09. > :41:17.today. That defence has soaked up an amazing amount of pressure. They

:41:18. > :41:28.have to be careful. Dangerous territory to be launching yourself.

:41:29. > :41:35.It is take a deep breath time is insert? It is, 16 minutes to go and

:41:36. > :41:41.you could say the game is anybody's to take. I'm amazed I'm saying that.

:41:42. > :41:46.But all credit to Inveraray, they have stuck in there and at three

:41:47. > :41:56.each they will think we can go on to win this. It is there to be won and

:41:57. > :42:07.lost. Down it goes. Here is one of the Kinlochshiel substitutes. Again

:42:08. > :42:15.it is Munro and oppression. -- under pressure. Basically lined up on the

:42:16. > :42:24.far side and it looks like number 15 is coming on for Inveraray. And we

:42:25. > :42:30.think Dando may be the player to be replaced but we will keep an eye on

:42:31. > :42:38.that. Kinlochshiel are on the move and look at that. Fraser Watt in

:42:39. > :42:46.defence, they are in trouble here Inveraray because they have every

:42:47. > :42:55.man in defence almost. Desperation, backs to the wall. Giving its welly

:42:56. > :43:01.up the other end. And then we have Ruaraidh Graham. What a ball out to

:43:02. > :43:06.the left-hand side. A chance here for Inveraray, cut it inside

:43:07. > :43:11.MacDonald. Here is danger, get it away. Makes him play it. That is

:43:12. > :43:15.arguably one of the best moves of the game. Indeed, the only criticism

:43:16. > :43:22.was that Lewis MacNicol should have shot, he was an enough space and the

:43:23. > :43:27.angle was acute. You see here now Lewis has the ball and has a bit of

:43:28. > :43:32.time, have a shot from there but instead he cut it back, it is off

:43:33. > :43:43.but the big opportunity was for Lewis to shoot when he had the

:43:44. > :43:49.space. There is Dando coming off. Confirmation in there. Grand Griffin

:43:50. > :43:54.as command. -- grant. I think you're right saying he has been injured.

:43:55. > :43:58.Has a bit of pace in front of the goal. He scored the winner in the

:43:59. > :44:06.Macauley Cook final before so he does have pedigree. -- McCauley cup.

:44:07. > :44:11.MacDonald has more than pedigree, he has menace and presence and

:44:12. > :44:19.everything. He will lead by example. David Robinson...

:44:20. > :44:28.The Kinlochshiel screaming to come out of defence. The great stopping

:44:29. > :44:36.the play there. This could be a yellow card. -- MacRae. He is having

:44:37. > :44:45.a think which means he won't book him. It is good experience by

:44:46. > :44:50.MacPherson because the defence exposed a quick free hit and they

:44:51. > :44:55.are reorganised now. Just show to stick against the ball and fair play

:44:56. > :44:59.to Evan MacRae for not taking any action, it would have been slightly

:45:00. > :45:03.harsh at this stage in the game. The sun is out there are shadows on the

:45:04. > :45:08.field and everybody is happy it is a game situation. We have no idea

:45:09. > :45:18.where it will end up. Which is a good thing. Lots of stretching. Lots

:45:19. > :45:22.of stretching going on on the Inveraray bench. A point for the

:45:23. > :45:27.substitutes, rolling substitutes with only three can be used. After

:45:28. > :45:31.that, they can use three as as they want but not the others on the

:45:32. > :45:36.bench. If you have five sausages you can only use three of them. Then you

:45:37. > :45:42.have 15 players at your disposal. -- substitutes. You can revolve around

:45:43. > :45:46.them. Once the first three are used that is it. None of the other

:45:47. > :45:51.designated substitutes can go on the field. Inveraray have done that so

:45:52. > :46:05.they may bring Dando back which could be a clever strategy. He has

:46:06. > :46:08.played well today for Inveraray. Here is a chance, keeper comes off

:46:09. > :46:15.as lime and that was another good move. For a young guy, he has been

:46:16. > :46:19.utterly decisive. The comparison with Stuart MacDonald is very apt

:46:20. > :46:23.because again Scott MacLachlan is that composed under pressure, he

:46:24. > :46:27.does not panic, he has skill when he comes out, he is good with the ball

:46:28. > :46:32.around his feet and again he came out and saved Inveraray. All credit

:46:33. > :46:37.to the players of both team, they have been playing at a fantastic

:46:38. > :46:49.pace. Sometimes in very trying conditions. A chance here. A goal.

:46:50. > :46:56.And the tears Oliver MacRae. -- and it is. Kinlochshiel have made the

:46:57. > :47:01.breakthrough again and this time it is Oliver MacRae who struck to put

:47:02. > :47:05.them back in the lead. They first-time goal here. Unfortunately

:47:06. > :47:10.for Scots, he had no chance, to close, the ball breaks, there is the

:47:11. > :47:16.shots going into just inside the post. Oliver MacRae has worked very

:47:17. > :47:35.unselfishly today for Kinlochshiel. Good for him.

:47:36. > :47:43.Mr MacRae will be quite delighted, that was sublime. Just at the edge

:47:44. > :47:50.off the ball, it deceived the goalkeeper. 4-3, less than ten

:47:51. > :48:04.minutes to play at Mossfield. Looks like Dando might be coming back on.

:48:05. > :48:14.One player struggling in the middle, they might want to bring him off and

:48:15. > :48:20.put Dando on. Tillich she'll need another goal to see this off. Good

:48:21. > :48:25.save, and another. What a good double save. Whatever the outcome,

:48:26. > :48:30.Fraser, this young fella has made a name for himself today, Scott

:48:31. > :48:36.MacLachlan. Absolutely. It comes in on the volley but Scott has it

:48:37. > :48:39.covered. That's been a feature of the Kinlochshiel plays today.

:48:40. > :48:42.They've been on top of Scott MacLachlan quickly, and credit to

:48:43. > :48:49.him, he has dealt with that pressure well. Douglas Dando comes on into

:48:50. > :49:01.midfield. It's not Robertson going off... It's one of the forward

:49:02. > :49:06.players... Ross Montgomery? Number four going off, and it is Ross

:49:07. > :49:12.Montgomery. Taking his helmet off, and he has acquitted himself well.

:49:13. > :49:15.Another Inveraray teenager. They are playing with a bunch of

:49:16. > :49:28.thirtysomethings. Jansa Kinlochshiel again. It's getting tough. -- chance

:49:29. > :49:31.for Kinlochshiel again. Kennedy needs to be careful. He's had a

:49:32. > :49:38.yellow card from the first half, John Kennedy.

:49:39. > :49:44.Kinlochshiel bench going to make a change. They will not want to do it

:49:45. > :49:51.when they are up in range of the goal. It's asking far too much of

:49:52. > :49:55.the forwards to get onto that. Look at the wide-open spaces midfield

:49:56. > :50:05.here. The hen party gives that won a big hand. Flicked into the middle.

:50:06. > :50:09.Ambitious, good play by Kinlochshiel. That could be game

:50:10. > :50:16.over. Because Kinlochshiel have done it again. They have extended their

:50:17. > :50:26.lead. That again, I think it was Oliver MacRae. Oliver MacRae poked

:50:27. > :50:30.it through to him. Keith MacRae, unfortunately for Scott MacLachlan,

:50:31. > :50:37.straight through his legs. Hits on target, Keith, and the Scott

:50:38. > :50:41.MacLachlan have saved that it would have been fantastic. But couldn't do

:50:42. > :50:46.anything about it. Good, determined move by Kinlochshiel. Determination

:50:47. > :50:53.to get onto the ball when it comes into that area. My apologies to all

:50:54. > :50:56.the MacRae family, but it was Keith MacRae who scored. They won't mind

:50:57. > :51:03.me getting one wrong occasionally. The goal-scorer has left the field

:51:04. > :51:06.below us. The Kinlochshiel defence has had an easier ride for the

:51:07. > :51:16.greater part of the second half. And they might just be watching history

:51:17. > :51:21.unfolding. As the forwards begin to lead a tiring Inveraray defence a

:51:22. > :51:24.merry dance at the moment. It's getting a bit tough. They have

:51:25. > :51:33.pulled Dando back into centre half-backs. Ruaraidh Graham, David

:51:34. > :51:41.Robertson. Confirmation from the referee, seven minutes left to play.

:51:42. > :51:44.To be fair to Inveraray, they are in transition. Very stretched

:51:45. > :51:48.resources, and they have done remarkably well to make a fantastic

:51:49. > :51:52.game of it today. Tillich she'll have played well but despite that,

:51:53. > :51:58.Inveraray have made a game of it. Remember Kinlochshiel had a team in

:51:59. > :52:01.the top three of the Premier League. And they are playing a team in the

:52:02. > :52:08.league below them, the National League. As Fraser Ingle said, very

:52:09. > :52:13.much in transition. Hello to the young fellas and young girls at the

:52:14. > :52:20.far side. No harm done, apart from a banner ruined. Still the tackles go

:52:21. > :52:27.in. Ruaraidh Graham, the manager, and he's brought down there. At some

:52:28. > :52:32.stages in the game, that might have been a booking, when he was at full

:52:33. > :52:42.flow. Perhaps, because it was a trip, not a cynical foul that will

:52:43. > :52:44.injure anyone. Not a cynical foal, probably why Evan MacRae decided it

:52:45. > :53:00.wasn't a booking. Inveraray, give them their due, they

:53:01. > :53:05.have got it back in the danger area and have won a corner. It would be

:53:06. > :53:12.very interesting if this led to a goal. It would be. The way the game

:53:13. > :53:17.has gone, the fact they haven't shaken Inveraray off, they will be

:53:18. > :53:23.thinking, is this our day. With a few minutes to go it would be 5-4.

:53:24. > :53:28.Could be a fantastic finish to the match. Drifted wide, it's gone out

:53:29. > :53:39.for another corner. On the left-hand side. The clock running relentlessly

:53:40. > :53:45.now on Inveraray's effort. And what an effort it's been, what a game

:53:46. > :53:50.they have given us. Robertson fires in. Cleverly brought down, turning,

:53:51. > :53:57.big shout for one of the Kinlochshiel defenders to step in.

:53:58. > :54:01.It's all a bit bunched up. Acres of space for Kinlochshiel to move the

:54:02. > :54:09.ball in. If they had any sense they would start shipping it out of the

:54:10. > :54:15.corners. Out of the way. Inveraray doing their level best to try to

:54:16. > :54:19.slow the game down. It's all they can do, really. That's been a

:54:20. > :54:24.feature of the game. Inveraray definitely feel Evan MacRae have

:54:25. > :54:28.given the majority of decisions to Kinlochshiel. Bit of frustration

:54:29. > :54:34.over that, but if you are the team pressing than you are likely to win

:54:35. > :54:41.more fouls. The referee says there will our four minutes and 52 seconds

:54:42. > :54:46.left. Some of that has gone. But you can't get much more precise than

:54:47. > :54:50.that. Down to about four minutes or thereabouts. Dimeck she'll still

:54:51. > :54:56.with a good step in their legs. They have a bit more to give. They can

:54:57. > :55:01.see out the time more successfully, I think. A tee goal cushion,

:55:02. > :55:19.difficult to see them losing that. Poor hit, bit better is the second

:55:20. > :55:24.time, should have happened the first time. Keeping pressure on Inveraray.

:55:25. > :55:29.They are left with no option but to remove the ball. Dispatch it. We

:55:30. > :55:33.reckon there are two minutes left on our clock, the one that counts is

:55:34. > :55:39.the one held by Evan MacRae, the referee. There will be no hurry

:55:40. > :55:44.here. We might have a bit of injury time thanks to that injury to

:55:45. > :55:50.MacKenzie. Maybe a couple of minutes added on for that. Another good

:55:51. > :55:54.block by Monroe. You have to hand it to the two full-backs, Munro and

:55:55. > :55:58.Crawford in particular, Kennedy has been outstanding as well. But

:55:59. > :56:06.Crawford and Monroe have been outstanding, and the goalkeeper. The

:56:07. > :56:09.physical match-ups, they are not as strong as their opponents but they

:56:10. > :56:13.have stuck manfully to the task and haven't resorted to anything that

:56:14. > :56:17.you would call less than fair. Credit to them for that.

:56:18. > :56:20.Unfortunately it it's a case of Kinlochshiel being the stronger,

:56:21. > :56:25.better team. That's a fact of the matter. Inveraray contesting the

:56:26. > :56:31.final well and can take great credit for that. Some brave camerawork from

:56:32. > :56:36.the man in the corner. Getting very close to all the action. Short of

:56:37. > :56:44.actually swinging at that ball, don't think he could have got much

:56:45. > :56:51.closer. All Kinlochshiel need to do now is keep the ball up to our left

:56:52. > :57:03.as we watch it. Goalkeeper pressed into action again. Trying to get the

:57:04. > :57:16.ball up the other end. David Robertson almost got a block in. We

:57:17. > :57:20.are in the final seconds of play. Now it's going to be an historic

:57:21. > :57:24.occasion for the Kinlochshiel club. A day of great disappointment for

:57:25. > :57:31.Inveraray. But they will be back with a team, half their team are

:57:32. > :57:40.teenagers, remember. Olie Ganassi for in sport is for the team to play

:57:41. > :57:46.to their potential. To put in a good performance on the day despite not

:57:47. > :57:50.being the better team, we have seen already with Scott MacLachlan in

:57:51. > :57:54.goal, Fraser upfront, Lewis McGovern to come back, so the future is

:57:55. > :58:00.looking bright for inter-area. They just need a few more to come through

:58:01. > :58:03.like that. They lost Gary MacPherson, the influential player

:58:04. > :58:12.earlier this game. That was a huge blow to them. They came back from

:58:13. > :58:16.2-0 down, then came back from another goal down, and now they have

:58:17. > :58:22.the insurmountable obstacle of a two goal deficit. A chance for the

:58:23. > :58:27.finishing touches. Not quite making it. The hen party is winding up on

:58:28. > :58:36.the far side and the celebrations are beginning. 47 seconds left says

:58:37. > :58:50.the man in the middle. We will have this possibly last play. Before they

:58:51. > :59:01.start dancing in. There is a chance here. Yet again, Scott MacLachlan,

:59:02. > :59:06.he has led them all sorts of ways and directions from the back. A

:59:07. > :59:10.brave attempt at keeping the play. It's been an exhibition of great

:59:11. > :59:15.goalkeeping. It has. And there is a man of the match award today. Scott

:59:16. > :59:21.MacLachlan is a major contender. I would say Jordan Fraser as well. I

:59:22. > :59:24.think perhaps the way the game has gone, wouldn't be surprised if Scott

:59:25. > :59:32.MacLachlan won his man of the match for a fantastic display. WHISTLE

:59:33. > :59:38.The final whistle goals in the 2016 MacAulay Cup final. Kinlochshiel

:59:39. > :59:47.winning their first-ever senior Sinn trophy by 5-3 against Inveraray. --

:59:48. > :59:52.shinty trophy. At the end of the day they couldn't match the strength and

:59:53. > :59:58.power of the finishing guile of the West Coast team who have finally,

:59:59. > :00:04.finally crossed the line after 58 years of trying to take a senior

:00:05. > :00:14.trophy. Confirmation of the full-time score at Mossfield,

:00:15. > :00:17.Inveraray 3-5 Kinlochshiel. STUDIO: Fantastic moment to Kinlochshiel.

:00:18. > :00:23.They will drink in these moments for a long, long time. It means so much

:00:24. > :00:29.for the club to finally win their first senior Sinn T trophy. And with

:00:30. > :00:35.former Scotland under 21 coach Gary Read with me, fantastic moments for

:00:36. > :00:39.the club. Completely, to win this first major trophy title will mean

:00:40. > :00:48.everything to Kinlochshiel. They will celebrate for at least a week.

:00:49. > :00:56.What does that mean? Wanted to win a major trophy for so long. It's a big

:00:57. > :01:01.relief. There have been a few different finals and stuff, but

:01:02. > :01:06.delighted to win. Your goal was crucial towards the end. It killed

:01:07. > :01:13.them. It a nerve in the in the last ten or 15 minutes. Just needed to

:01:14. > :01:16.get that cushion, that extra goal. What was the final experience like.

:01:17. > :01:22.It's a brand-new thing for Kinlochshiel. Pretty nerve wracking.

:01:23. > :01:26.It's a level up in nerves from your day in, day out games. Definitely

:01:27. > :01:31.feeling the nerves myself today, but a big relief to get the win. Worthy

:01:32. > :01:34.nerve is part of why we saw such a back and forth game. At one point it

:01:35. > :01:40.looked like he could run away with it but suddenly Inveraray were back.

:01:41. > :01:43.I think it was a lapse in our defence. Inveraray are a dangerous

:01:44. > :01:46.team and when they get a sniff of goal they will take it. When they

:01:47. > :01:50.got the first goal we knew they would start coming at us, but it was

:01:51. > :01:55.crucial to get a goal back. Luckily we got a few in the second have to

:01:56. > :02:00.kill them off in the end. It could have been a tight finish. No more

:02:01. > :02:05.nerves now, what will tonight be like? A bit of celebrating. We will

:02:06. > :02:14.head back to the pub and enjoyed it, I'm sure. Keith, you've deserved it.

:02:15. > :02:18.Fraser Ingles joining us. It has been such a tumultuous final in so

:02:19. > :02:25.many ways, but it has the fairy tale ending for Kinlochshiel.

:02:26. > :02:32.Well deserved. Kinlochshiel proved they can do it in a big game and

:02:33. > :02:37.Kinlochshiel will build new facilities, got a new pitch coming

:02:38. > :02:39.so hopefully they can kick on. Always interesting to see what

:02:40. > :02:45.happens with the team after they win a major trophy. What happens this

:02:46. > :02:49.season or the one after. Can they win more? That's a good point, this

:02:50. > :02:54.is a starting point for Kinlochshiel, how much is in the

:02:55. > :02:59.tank? They have a good young team. A strong team and this experience will

:03:00. > :03:07.make them better. You can see the nerves, Keith saying he is still a

:03:08. > :03:13.bit nervous and you could see in the game, it's 23-3 and you thought our

:03:14. > :03:18.Inveraray and other favourites. They can kick on and be a good team. Was

:03:19. > :03:26.it a case of an experience a little bit? May be leaving Kinlochshiel did

:03:27. > :03:29.not kill off Inveraray? Perhaps inexperienced but they were

:03:30. > :03:33.dominating so much and playing so well is probably never crossed their

:03:34. > :03:39.minds that Inveraray could come back, it was so one-sided and Gary

:03:40. > :03:41.mentioned all the corners and it was complacency at the back from

:03:42. > :03:46.Kinlochshiel but they believed they could come back so for me that makes

:03:47. > :03:49.it a better win. They got pinned back and then pushed on and got the

:03:50. > :03:56.goals and took the McCauley cup back. It looked like they might have

:03:57. > :04:05.been blown away at the start but they showed great character. Yes.

:04:06. > :04:11.Two young boys in particular, Scott MacLachlan... Quite a way to spend

:04:12. > :04:17.your 18th birthday. Indeed and young Fraser Watt. Great confidence taking

:04:18. > :04:20.the penalty. Putting it in the back of the net so Inveraray will be

:04:21. > :04:26.disappointed. They kind of ran out of legs Bert Kinlochshiel play

:04:27. > :04:32.Premier League week in week out which was the slight difference.

:04:33. > :04:37.Fitness seem to play huge part today. There is a huge surface at

:04:38. > :04:41.Mossfield Stadium and that was the strength will Kinlochshiel. The

:04:42. > :04:46.Premier League is a higher tempo. You have to be fitter and as Gary

:04:47. > :04:52.mentioned, Kinlochshiel experience that week in week out. The other

:04:53. > :05:00.thing is it is a generation game. You are seeing the end of the

:05:01. > :05:06.Inveraray's big ending. The initial part of that ceremony have begun and

:05:07. > :05:13.the trophies are being handed over. The losing captain has gone to Alan

:05:14. > :05:18.MacDonald of course he was calling out his team. No failures in their

:05:19. > :05:23.Inveraray team. They can leave Mossfield Stadium with their heads

:05:24. > :05:30.held high. I don't think I see Garry MacPherson who sustained an eye

:05:31. > :05:39.injury. We hope he's OK. He will be as disappointed as next man. There

:05:40. > :05:44.has to be only one winner and to paraphrase some famous words, when

:05:45. > :05:49.the whistle blows and the battle is done, these Shinty boys shine like

:05:50. > :05:55.the sun, we don't play for fame or for cash, we play for glory and the

:05:56. > :05:59.Clash of the ash. That song written about Kinlochshiel and it has never

:06:00. > :06:05.been more appropriate than today's gala occasion when they have taken

:06:06. > :06:11.the first-ever senior Trophy. I will tell you one thing, that hen party

:06:12. > :06:15.has just cracked up a notch or two. The man of the match has been

:06:16. > :06:20.confirmed as the Inveraray goalkeeper Scott MacLachlan and that

:06:21. > :06:24.the speed one of the easiest decisions that the judges have at

:06:25. > :06:33.making many years because it was an outstanding display of goalkeeping.

:06:34. > :06:41.Here now the victorious Kinlochshiel team, the captain is leading the

:06:42. > :06:50.team up. The captain number four David Faulkner and he has received

:06:51. > :06:56.the traditional silver mounted trophy -- David Falconer. The

:06:57. > :07:01.Kinlochshiel players or gathering at the end of the podium where they

:07:02. > :07:05.will be greeted by the rest of the team before they lift the trophy.

:07:06. > :07:14.The trophy is being handed over by Graham Mitchell. They are coming up

:07:15. > :07:19.onto the podium to the tall figure at the end of Connor Cormack who was

:07:20. > :07:24.one of the two injured players who missed the final. One from each side

:07:25. > :07:30.and you can see his left hand is covered. He has had some pins

:07:31. > :07:37.inserted. He would have been a key figure in the game but he qualifies

:07:38. > :07:45.for his medal. Colin Fraser the manager there, very pleased. Duncan

:07:46. > :07:51.MacLeod has assistant. Years of investment personally into the club.

:07:52. > :08:01.The trophy, the magnificent McCauley Cup is on its way to Wester Ross to

:08:02. > :08:06.Kinlochshiel. It has taken them well-nigh 60 years to take a senior

:08:07. > :08:11.Trophy home and they have had all sorts of silverware but I guarantee

:08:12. > :08:12.you tonight, the place to be is somewhere between Dorney and can

:08:13. > :08:22.tail. For Kinlochshiel, fantastic scenes.

:08:23. > :08:26.A terrible waste of champagne but I'm sure they will get plenty more

:08:27. > :08:31.as the day progresses and David Falconer they're very proud. The

:08:32. > :08:39.latter part of that match Gary, a huge goal from the MacRae's, Oliver

:08:40. > :08:43.MacRae getting them back into the lead. Yes at 3-3 it could have gone

:08:44. > :08:47.either way and you're thinking how has this happened but Oliver MacRae,

:08:48. > :08:57.the ball popped out, he took a swing and in the net. He worked

:08:58. > :09:02.tirelessly. Good to see him get the girl and you can see a kind of

:09:03. > :09:09.relief coming through the team. Must've been a huge moment and then

:09:10. > :09:13.the icing on the cake as they made it safe. Another good move from

:09:14. > :09:17.Kinlochshiel to win the ball and Oliver reaches its head and it

:09:18. > :09:24.breaks to Keith MacRae and fantastic in a major final. A really great

:09:25. > :09:28.position to being in the last five minutes of a major final knowing you

:09:29. > :09:34.have won it, two goals up, you can enjoy and as we are speaking there,

:09:35. > :09:40.you can see the relief to win a major trophy. It is the day for

:09:41. > :09:45.Kinlochshiel, undoubtedly fantastic, man of the match Scott MacLachlan

:09:46. > :09:50.and as I was saying, what a way to spend your 18th birthday. He did a

:09:51. > :09:56.great job. He was outstanding in the Celtic Society final. He reminded me

:09:57. > :10:01.of the performance is Jim MacDonald last year. How fantastic he was and

:10:02. > :10:04.really he was the difference between Kinlochshiel winning very comparably

:10:05. > :10:10.and it's being a well contested final. For Inveraray it is great of

:10:11. > :10:19.a goalkeeper of such stature because they had Graham MacPherson before
