0:00:50 > 0:00:56Cardiff, one of the most vibrant cities in Britain. It sparkles with

0:00:56 > 0:01:00Celtic intensity. The Six Nations championship is one hour away.

0:01:00 > 0:01:05Months of preparation and weeks of training. By now, if you are one of

0:01:05 > 0:01:13the six coaches, there is nothing more to be seen.Everyone is talking

0:01:13 > 0:01:22about Ireland and Scotland, so we are chasing those guys.Scotland are

0:01:22 > 0:01:28really on the rise. Greg has installed this belief.France have

0:01:28 > 0:01:32sacked their national coach. We are nowhere near it at the moment, there

0:01:32 > 0:01:37are the whipping boys in every competition.Where will Wales be in

0:01:37 > 0:01:44the Six Nations competition. They will not win it.

0:01:45 > 0:01:53will not win it.Have you thought about the future after 2019.How can

0:01:53 > 0:01:59we be favourites, every comment about our game is that we were

0:01:59 > 0:02:05terrible.It is the weight of expectation for Ireland to go out

0:02:05 > 0:02:16and deliver.Same old excuses.As a coach, I hate losing.No matter how

0:02:16 > 0:02:20dry or long your January Feltz, February Herald sports of springtime

0:02:20 > 0:02:23and before a ball is kicked, the relentless positivity is

0:02:23 > 0:02:29overwhelming. Get off to a good start and the talk of championships

0:02:29 > 0:02:34and Grand Slams. Lose the opener and the balloon of optimism is pricked

0:02:34 > 0:02:38with six weeks left to play. Cardiff and the Principality Stadium on the

0:02:38 > 0:02:46opening day of the Six Nations, is a very special place to be.

0:02:46 > 0:02:49very special place to be. Some serious faces, but not too many in

0:02:49 > 0:02:52the national newspapers would have backed as their front-page headline.

0:02:52 > 0:02:57Greatest rugby show on earth is back and it underlines the hope and

0:02:57 > 0:03:01expectation and the enormity of the Six Nations. We will share this over

0:03:01 > 0:03:06the next seven weeks with the BBC TV with the usual crew of Jonathan

0:03:06 > 0:03:14Davies and Andy Nicholls. Martin Johnson and Sam Warburton. John,

0:03:14 > 0:03:18this is an odd expectation because you have never been to a Six Nations

0:03:18 > 0:03:24game without a vested interest? Absolutely, we got in last night and

0:03:24 > 0:03:27Cardiff was jumping. Everyone has been waiting for this to start and

0:03:27 > 0:03:34everyone is fascinating. Scotland and Wales will be fantastic, the

0:03:34 > 0:03:43stadium is buzzing. We have some images of you from years gone by.I

0:03:43 > 0:03:47got called up at 24 hours notice so it was surreal to be playing in the

0:03:47 > 0:03:53game. Your first view of rugby was watching the Five Nations, as it

0:03:53 > 0:03:59was. It is the envy of the Rugby world, it is a great tournament. It

0:03:59 > 0:04:03is great occasions, every match is a great occasion. People come

0:04:03 > 0:04:08together, enjoy it and enjoyed the whole weekend. It is a fabulous

0:04:08 > 0:04:12tournament.Sam, you would love to be playing, if it wasn't for injury,

0:04:12 > 0:04:17but you can feel Cardiff in a different way today, how do you view

0:04:17 > 0:04:22it as an event? As a player, you enter the camp on the Monday and you

0:04:22 > 0:04:27are in this little bubble. You don't listen to the press and you are

0:04:27 > 0:04:34oblivious to the hype. Now I am on the other side of the fence and it

0:04:34 > 0:04:38is building. Cardiff this morning, roads were closed, four hours before

0:04:38 > 0:04:42kick-off, traffic everywhere, it was mental. People finding places to

0:04:42 > 0:04:47watch the game. Six Nations is the one and it has got appetites going

0:04:47 > 0:04:53already.And the game against England a few years ago?It was one

0:04:53 > 0:04:57of my favourite games in the Six Nations. It was incredible. I did

0:04:57 > 0:05:02not ask to put this up honestly. There was the old Samoans sidestep.

0:05:02 > 0:05:08Didn't happen. As players, you couldn't hear each other to

0:05:08 > 0:05:13communicate with each other. That is the best memory of my rugby career.

0:05:13 > 0:05:17Over the next 40 minutes we will look at the championship as a whole

0:05:17 > 0:05:21before we concentrate on the game here at the Principality Stadium. A

0:05:21 > 0:05:24quick word about what might happen this afternoon in the first of the

0:05:24 > 0:05:2815 games. Jonathan, out on the street last night, everybody was

0:05:28 > 0:05:33bullish from a watch point of view, but there is uncertainty as well?

0:05:33 > 0:05:38Yes, because of the injuries. The back blocks excavating the

0:05:38 > 0:05:43>> liam-macro:

0:05:46 > 0:05:50>> liam-macro: -- the backs look exciting. After a great Automator is

0:05:50 > 0:05:59a nice feeling. Martin said, it is fantastic and a squad, they are

0:05:59 > 0:06:07optimistic.More than ever before? With reason, it was a good autumn

0:06:07 > 0:06:14series. They have travelled to a place where they have bad memories

0:06:14 > 0:06:19from, Scotland have an one here since 2002. But they come with a

0:06:19 > 0:06:24confidence but is seeping out into the crowd. The Scottish fans always

0:06:24 > 0:06:28travel well, but more in hope than expectation. There is an expectation

0:06:28 > 0:06:33today to perform. If they perform, they have a chance because the

0:06:33 > 0:06:36players love playing for Scotland and they are doing it well. You

0:06:36 > 0:06:41mentioned the injury situation on the build-up to this tournament has

0:06:41 > 0:06:44been dominated by an epidemic of injury affecting all six sides.

0:06:44 > 0:06:48Let's focus on the players missing from the Welsh and Scottish

0:06:48 > 0:06:54line-ups. There are some famous names, there is some, there is

0:06:54 > 0:07:02Faletau. North, Rhys Webb and Liam Williams. And a whole raft of

0:07:02 > 0:07:07players missing from the Scottish front row.It is difficult with

0:07:07 > 0:07:11injuries, unless it is the same injury, the Lions tour, they have

0:07:11 > 0:07:17had a lot of rugby into July. You get less preseason to get back to

0:07:17 > 0:07:22full fitness. Scotland have lost so many players and it is

0:07:22 > 0:07:26unprecedented. Sometimes it is just a quirk. The guys in professional

0:07:26 > 0:07:31rugby do play a lot more, The Games are big, they are physical. The way

0:07:31 > 0:07:35the game is played is very attritional. It is always a

0:07:35 > 0:07:40balancing act on how much training to do with contact for coaches and

0:07:40 > 0:07:45players. How much is too much and how much is too little. Sometimes it

0:07:45 > 0:07:53is difficult to nail down why.It is difficult. As Martin says, the

0:07:53 > 0:07:57contest between rugby league and rugby union, rugby league, limited

0:07:57 > 0:08:01amount of injuries. When I came back to play rugby union I was surprised

0:08:01 > 0:08:07how physical it was. They are cutting down in training, Sam, not

0:08:07 > 0:08:16much contact. It must be difficult to get the right balance? It is hard

0:08:16 > 0:08:20because you have two prepare for an international Test match. From what

0:08:20 > 0:08:23I have heard and seen, training volumes have had to be reduced over

0:08:23 > 0:08:27the last six months because simply the training loads accumulate over

0:08:27 > 0:08:32the season, not just again. They have had to pull back on training a

0:08:32 > 0:08:38little bit as well.Ireland, they have probably got the best injury

0:08:38 > 0:08:44profile of all the countries. They are almost full strength, so it is

0:08:44 > 0:08:47not across the board. Biking Scotland and Wales have been

0:08:47 > 0:08:50unlucky. They are the most affected because neither country has great

0:08:50 > 0:08:56strength and depth.Irrespective of the injuries, they have got to

0:08:56 > 0:09:01forget it, they are not playing. Focus on the opposition, focus on

0:09:01 > 0:09:04your own team. Yes, a lot of injuries in the Scottish front row

0:09:04 > 0:09:08and that will be on the minds of the Welsh players. One point worth

0:09:08 > 0:09:13mentioning, every time Wales play Scotland, the greatest fact in

0:09:13 > 0:09:16international rugby, when Wales played Scotland in 1963 there were

0:09:16 > 0:09:23111 line-outs.Every time you say that fact, I want to repeat it over

0:09:23 > 0:09:28and over. We think of how long the ball will be in play today. The

0:09:28 > 0:09:36players are having to play longer? If Scotland have their way, they

0:09:36 > 0:09:40want to play fast. It takes some of the contact out of it because it

0:09:40 > 0:09:44isn't an attritional game. Maybe Wales will be the team who want to

0:09:44 > 0:09:48be more direct, kick the ball it in the Ford is a little bit more, drive

0:09:48 > 0:09:52line-outs more than they normally do and play like that.Let's move on

0:09:52 > 0:10:00because the action is starting and the stadium is filling up. There

0:10:00 > 0:10:03were extra security checks and forced which meant sizeable chunks

0:10:03 > 0:10:06of matches were missed by crowds waiting to get into the stadium. But

0:10:06 > 0:10:15they are being entertained by the choirs and the bands and Only Men

0:10:15 > 0:10:21Aloud are onstage at the moment. People are streaming into the

0:10:21 > 0:10:25stadium, 45 minutes from kick-off. This is how the table looked, if

0:10:25 > 0:10:31needed reminding from last year. It is worth reiterating that things

0:10:31 > 0:10:36have changed. It is now four win. You get a bonus point if you score

0:10:36 > 0:10:42four tries and you get a bonus point if you lose lose by seven points are

0:10:42 > 0:10:48less -- or less. This week, Eddie Jones has been jousting with Sonia

0:10:48 > 0:10:53McLaughlin.

0:10:55 > 0:10:57McLaughlin. 57 years young sweet, Eddie, what did you do your

0:10:57 > 0:11:07birthday?We had a good training day. We had some training with

0:11:07 > 0:11:14players we thought weren't going to be back.A sixth successive Six

0:11:14 > 0:11:18Nations title has never been done before? We will go for the win

0:11:18 > 0:11:23against Italy.I know you don't want to look at the bigger picture, but

0:11:23 > 0:11:27are you encouraging the players to embrace the fact they could make

0:11:27 > 0:11:31history?The players could be part of something special and as you

0:11:31 > 0:11:35alluded to, be part of something no other team in England has done. You

0:11:35 > 0:11:41have insisted Ireland are the favourites, it is it Eddie Jones'

0:11:41 > 0:11:47kid ology?I don't think it is, if you look at their form over the last

0:11:47 > 0:11:5212 months, they have had some good victories, they did well on the

0:11:52 > 0:11:58Lions tour.You have 122 out of 23 games, the bookies are making

0:11:58 > 0:12:05England favourites, surely they are right?Always look at the form and

0:12:05 > 0:12:10the recent form favours Ireland. Are you conscious of the fact that a lot

0:12:10 > 0:12:17of praise is being heaped onto Ireland and Scotland, do you think

0:12:17 > 0:12:20England are not getting full recognition for what they have

0:12:20 > 0:12:24achieved?It is not something that worries me. It is fashionable to

0:12:24 > 0:12:30bash England. The media always tells the truth, so we believe what the

0:12:30 > 0:12:33papers said that we haven't been playing well, we have to improve and

0:12:33 > 0:12:38get better. We're working hard to do that.You have a significant number

0:12:38 > 0:12:41of England, are you disadvantaged by the workload the players have

0:12:41 > 0:12:46compared to those in Ireland? We cannot control the problem. The

0:12:46 > 0:12:51issue is how we respond to that. We had our best week of training in

0:12:51 > 0:12:59Portugal last week. Everybody said the players

0:13:00 > 0:13:02the players would be disillusioned with heavy legs. They came in and

0:13:02 > 0:13:04they trained the house down and we had our best training week ever. You

0:13:04 > 0:13:09are sticking with Dylan Hartley as captain and hooker, why is he your

0:13:09 > 0:13:15go to man?He brings a lot of leadership to the team. Jamie George

0:13:15 > 0:13:21is outstanding. The average age of the squad is 23. The history of Test

0:13:21 > 0:13:30match rugby, the last ten minutes of the game is generally when it is won

0:13:30 > 0:13:36or lost. We need to have a good team during that time. You have signed a

0:13:36 > 0:13:40new contract, what happened to the beach in Barbados? That is

0:13:40 > 0:13:44definitely still coming. I have been going through the brochures. But I

0:13:44 > 0:13:49have put them aside for a while. It is a great opportunity England have

0:13:49 > 0:13:54offered me to oversee the transition to the next coach. I don't intend to

0:13:54 > 0:14:01coach England past 2019 World Cup to the next World Cup. But I would like

0:14:01 > 0:14:07to make sure the next head coach comes into a team that has good,

0:14:07 > 0:14:11consistent attributes and the new coach can add the flavour he wants

0:14:11 > 0:14:16to it.You have signed a new deal until 2021, you know what happens

0:14:16 > 0:14:23that year?The Ashes tour.Probably. I don't think I could coach the

0:14:23 > 0:14:28cricket side. I would love to, but I don't think I could.What about

0:14:28 > 0:14:32Eddie Jones to coach the Lions in South Africa, are you open to

0:14:32 > 0:14:38leading the Lions?I am open to opportunities to coach. I love

0:14:38 > 0:14:41coaching, I love coaching good players. If someone asked me to

0:14:41 > 0:14:48coach the lines, I would consider it.That is probably yes. Are you an

0:14:48 > 0:14:53Eddie Jones fan?You cannot argue with his record. When he came in

0:14:53 > 0:14:58people were saying, how can an non-English guy work-out? But we

0:14:58 > 0:15:02have some very strong clubs in England and Eddie came in with a

0:15:02 > 0:15:10massive amount of experience. He said I have a lot of experience and

0:15:10 > 0:15:13listen to what I say. The results have been there, it is an amazing

0:15:13 > 0:15:18record. You cannot argue with that. He has been good for the team and

0:15:18 > 0:15:22the way he talks, he is constantly keeping them on their toes and not

0:15:22 > 0:15:26letting them get complacent. When you win, everybody says how great

0:15:26 > 0:15:30you are. But you are never that far away from losing those games and you

0:15:30 > 0:15:36have to keep striving or you get overtaken.Sam, you played against

0:15:36 > 0:15:40England before Eddie Jones, do you detect differences between then and

0:15:40 > 0:15:46now?The squad is a massively different. In the 2015 World Cup,

0:15:46 > 0:15:53there were some more experiments, Sam Burgess was playing 12. England

0:15:53 > 0:15:58now, even though they have a similar front five, Launchbury, Courtney

0:15:58 > 0:16:02Lawes, they are world-class players and that is what you need in the

0:16:02 > 0:16:06front five. Look at the southern hemisphere front five, they are big

0:16:06 > 0:16:11athletes who ball carry an England have a front five like that. The one

0:16:11 > 0:16:15advantage England have got, there is no complacency because of the

0:16:15 > 0:16:19strength and that they have in every position. If you don't play well,

0:16:19 > 0:16:22another player can come and take your place. It keeps complacency at

0:16:22 > 0:16:28bay. He handles it very well. He has a little go at the players and

0:16:28 > 0:16:36bounces them back up. They are a strong force in world rugby now.The

0:16:36 > 0:16:40Italian teams have done well in the regional pro 14 competition, is

0:16:40 > 0:16:45there any reason to think they may give anybody a bloody nose, even

0:16:45 > 0:16:51England on Sunday?I don't think it will happen on Sunday. There has

0:16:51 > 0:16:54been improvements and they are much more competitive, playing a more

0:16:54 > 0:16:58structured game. In minor happened this year, but I am hearing there

0:16:58 > 0:17:05are a lot of good young players being developed. So in a few years,

0:17:05 > 0:17:10they could be a force.I think they will be tough. Everyone thinks when

0:17:10 > 0:17:14you go to Italy you will win and most of the time you do. But it is

0:17:14 > 0:17:18tougher than you realise. On Sunday, and less England are at it, it will

0:17:18 > 0:17:26be tough. They have got to develop their half-backs. There will be

0:17:26 > 0:17:30stronger and more structured with the new coaching set but it needs

0:17:30 > 0:17:34the rugby brain. That is what they are lacking, they gain management at

0:17:34 > 0:17:40nine, ten and 15. They are only going to improve. It must be tough

0:17:40 > 0:17:45going into every competition as whipping boys. You can see

0:17:45 > 0:17:47highlights of Edmund against Italy and Rugby special tomorrow night at

0:17:47 > 0:17:556pm on BBC Two. -- England.

0:17:56 > 0:17:586pm on BBC Two. -- England. Most people are seeing England against

0:17:58 > 0:18:02silent as the potential championship decider. Ireland are the only team

0:18:02 > 0:18:12so far to beat England during Eddie Jones' rain.Thunderous start

0:18:12 > 0:18:16guaranteed. The Irish kitchen sink at the ready, England needing to

0:18:16 > 0:18:23hold their nerve. Johnny Sexton, the kind of man for a day like this.

0:18:23 > 0:18:27Ireland on the ball, their tails are up. Ireland with the drive.

0:18:27 > 0:18:33Henderson. A fifth score in the Green of Ireland for Henderson.

0:18:33 > 0:18:38Ireland are into double figures. The cleanest of strikes from Owen

0:18:38 > 0:18:46Farrell. That is a monstrous kick from Johnny Sexton. Owen Farrell,

0:18:46 > 0:18:56keeping England in touch. Ireland, bring England crashing to earth. The

0:18:56 > 0:19:00match in Paris against Ireland starts at 4:45pm and Paul O'Connell

0:19:00 > 0:19:10will be part of the commentary team. How are you?Good afternoon. How do

0:19:10 > 0:19:21Ireland feel about being favourites for the Six Nations? The bookies are

0:19:21 > 0:19:26very rarely wrong. I don't think Eddie is far wrong, Ireland have a

0:19:26 > 0:19:29very settled team working under an excellent coach. The coaching staff

0:19:29 > 0:19:34is getting stronger and stronger with Andy Farrell coming in as well.

0:19:34 > 0:19:38Behind that you have great coaching going on in the provinces. Stuart

0:19:38 > 0:19:44Lancaster has had a massive effect at Leinster. 14 of the squad are

0:19:44 > 0:19:48playing in Ireland today. Leinster have been working with Stuart

0:19:48 > 0:19:51Lancaster for the last few months and they have elevated how they

0:19:51 > 0:19:57played. Top team in Europe at the moment in both defence and attack. I

0:19:57 > 0:20:02think Ireland are in a very good place. The fact they play away from

0:20:02 > 0:20:05home against France and against England and have never beaten the

0:20:05 > 0:20:12two of them in the same year away from home since 1972, maybe in an

0:20:12 > 0:20:15Irish person's eyes, tells us the favouritism in the way of the

0:20:15 > 0:20:20English.I was reading an interview with Rory Best, the Irish captain

0:20:20 > 0:20:24this morning and he said there are some experienced players. He said

0:20:24 > 0:20:28playing in Paris was like nowhere else because of the assault on the

0:20:28 > 0:20:34senses. You have played there many times, what does it feel like? They

0:20:34 > 0:20:38generally start very well here. We have been on the back of some

0:20:38 > 0:20:41incredible games here where we have given ourselves a massive mountain

0:20:41 > 0:20:47to climb. It will probably be something similar today. They will

0:20:47 > 0:20:52have a lot to prove and they have been under pressure, but when you

0:20:52 > 0:20:55talk about experience, the French are far less experience than the

0:20:55 > 0:21:04Irish. The front row for the French have. I think there is 16 the entire

0:21:04 > 0:21:08front bench here today. Ireland, in terms of experience are a lot

0:21:08 > 0:21:12further down the track than the French. The provinces have done well

0:21:12 > 0:21:18against the French sides succumbing to France and winning isn't as big a

0:21:18 > 0:21:22deal as it used to be the Irish sides and coming to Paris isn't as

0:21:22 > 0:21:26big a deal as it used to be. Ireland will be in a good place to handle

0:21:26 > 0:21:30the pressure and the motion.Thank you very much, we will be there in

0:21:30 > 0:21:37plenty of time for kick-off. France, anybody. What can we expect we just

0:21:37 > 0:21:46don't know?France, even if they were disrupted, they have great

0:21:46 > 0:21:49athletes and in the scrimmage, they give you a challenge there. They

0:21:49 > 0:21:53have so many foreign players in their competition, it has taken away

0:21:53 > 0:21:57a lot of their natural character and how they play. I think they are

0:21:57 > 0:22:01looking to get back to how they used to play. Be interesting to see how

0:22:01 > 0:22:07they go.Typically French, they suck their coach at the start of the Six

0:22:07 > 0:22:12Nations. They replaced with a similar type coach. A lot of coaches

0:22:12 > 0:22:17coming through the French Top 14 and it would be good to elevate some of

0:22:17 > 0:22:22them.

0:22:23 > 0:22:28them. This could be the future. It could be a good selection by Jacques

0:22:28 > 0:22:32Brunel.When you saw the French selection, there were some

0:22:32 > 0:22:36unfamiliar names, could this be the devil may care approach that fans

0:22:36 > 0:22:41are saying, we are at the starting block, 18 months before a World Cup

0:22:41 > 0:22:47and actually, they could do anything? There is no expectation on

0:22:47 > 0:22:52the French, which could be dangers for their opposing team. Paris is

0:22:52 > 0:22:56one of the most hostile of the ground you play in. If you are

0:22:56 > 0:23:00defending and going backwards five phases in a row, the crowd get on

0:23:00 > 0:23:03top of the team and you can see them growing with confidence. You have to

0:23:03 > 0:23:10make sure that doesn't happen. A lot of young teens do this, they go out,

0:23:10 > 0:23:13they play with no fear. That is probably the best way to express

0:23:13 > 0:23:21themselves.Look at identity and how they play, nobody can work it out.

0:23:21 > 0:23:26Whether they are trying to play like the club sides are but they have the

0:23:26 > 0:23:30overseas forwards, it is very slow and stodgy with a lot of kicking.

0:23:30 > 0:23:35This young French side looks like, we will go back to the old style of

0:23:35 > 0:23:39a big pack, win the set piece and see what happens. It will be a

0:23:39 > 0:23:44fascinating match in Paris this afternoon. If you have just switched

0:23:44 > 0:23:47on and we are working our way to the prospect of all the sides in this

0:23:47 > 0:23:53Six Nations. We are starting in the Principality Stadium and the

0:23:53 > 0:23:57atmosphere is building. Let's move to Scotland who come here with

0:23:57 > 0:23:59enormous expectation, given what happened during the autumn

0:23:59 > 0:24:05internationals. We saw a new Scotland, bold, enterprising,

0:24:05 > 0:24:11energising and exciting Scotland?

0:24:23 > 0:24:34It is a big chase by Tommy Seymour. It is that man Jones.

0:24:34 > 0:24:40It is that man Jones. What a vital score for Scotland.

0:24:44 > 0:24:48score for Scotland.Wide it goes now and Taylor in for a try. Great try

0:24:48 > 0:24:56for the All Blacks.Jonny Gray, tries to switch and he scores for

0:24:56 > 0:25:03Scotland. Seymour gathers it. Gives the past. Is there still life in

0:25:03 > 0:25:11Scotland here at Murrayfield? Stuart Hogg is through. Stuart Hogg for the

0:25:11 > 0:25:18corner. Can't quite get there and the whistle blows. The cruellest

0:25:18 > 0:25:26sound for Scotland here at Murrayfield. Chance for McGuigan.

0:25:26 > 0:25:35Can he win the race? McGuigan scores for Scotland.

0:25:36 > 0:25:41for Scotland. Sean Maitland for the corner. Sean Maitland slides. Chaos

0:25:41 > 0:25:53at Murrayfield. Hugh John 's -- who Jones, scoring again. Half-century

0:25:53 > 0:25:58against the Wallabies, who would have thought? It was that result in

0:25:58 > 0:26:01particular against Australia means the journey south has been

0:26:01 > 0:26:07undertaken with such relish by thousands of Scotland fans even know

0:26:07 > 0:26:11it is 16 years since they won in Cardiff and a decade since they won

0:26:11 > 0:26:19on the opening day of the Six Nations. Gregor Townsend is with Lee

0:26:19 > 0:26:22McKenzie. This is your first Six Nations as a

0:26:22 > 0:26:27coach, have things just got more serious?I think so, it is a great

0:26:27 > 0:26:30tournament. The build-up has been more pronounced than what happened

0:26:30 > 0:26:35in November and we are excited to play. It is a brilliant stadium to

0:26:35 > 0:26:38play in and we cannot wait to put what we have done in training onto

0:26:38 > 0:26:43the field. The last time Scotland won in Cardiff, you are still

0:26:43 > 0:26:48playing, what is the key to turning Scotland's fortunes round? You have

0:26:48 > 0:26:51got to take your opportunities but work hard to create them. Six

0:26:51 > 0:26:56Nations tend to be physical matches, especially the first one. There will

0:26:56 > 0:27:01be mistakes as the teams played the first games. So working hard,

0:27:01 > 0:27:05working for 80 minutes, making sure the last 20 minutes, we are in with

0:27:05 > 0:27:11a chance of winning. Some different faces, like Wales, a side which has

0:27:11 > 0:27:15been dictated to by Injera, do you know how good the Scottish side is?

0:27:15 > 0:27:20We have been impressed by how they have trained. They played well in

0:27:20 > 0:27:24November and we have made changes to the team as well. The way they

0:27:24 > 0:27:28combine training gives us a lot of belief we can go out and play well.

0:27:28 > 0:27:32Training is different than playing and we have a team that will try and

0:27:32 > 0:27:36play their own way and stop what we are trying to do, so we had to adapt

0:27:36 > 0:27:42to that on the field.Thanks, good luck.

0:27:42 > 0:27:47Andy, years of former team-mate of yours, how do thing he has grown as

0:27:47 > 0:27:53a coach?Great temperament as a player, way of reading the game. He

0:27:53 > 0:27:58has brought that into his coaching as well. He's also quite ruthless,

0:27:58 > 0:28:03made some big calls over the years. Mainly Glasgow, getting rid of some

0:28:03 > 0:28:06of the backroom team. He knows what he's doing and he knows how wants to

0:28:06 > 0:28:11play. You heard him talking about what a great stadium and atmosphere

0:28:11 > 0:28:16it is. He will be relating back to the team all week. A lot of them

0:28:16 > 0:28:20haven't played here before. He said he will go out and enjoy playing in

0:28:20 > 0:28:26one of the best stadiums in the world. You talk about because he is

0:28:26 > 0:28:30prepared to make, one of them was picking Ali Price when he could have

0:28:30 > 0:28:35brought Greg Laidlaw back into the side?Ali Price come he knows from

0:28:35 > 0:28:39his Glasgow days. He brings pace and tempo into the Scotland game and

0:28:39 > 0:28:47that is how Scotland want to play. Having someone like Ali Price doing

0:28:47 > 0:28:52that is outstanding. What an experienced player to come off the

0:28:52 > 0:28:55bench with ten minutes to go and it is tied Scotland are defending

0:28:55 > 0:29:03Billy, it is the right way of doing it.We keep talking about Scotland

0:29:03 > 0:29:10scoring lots of tries, but in the autumn they did concede a few tries,

0:29:10 > 0:29:17especially against Samoa. Is there a concern about their defence?You

0:29:17 > 0:29:24always want to have a good defence, especially away from home. The key

0:29:24 > 0:29:27for them is getting the excitement in the game, not feeling the

0:29:27 > 0:29:31pressure or the expectation but the excitement and the opportunity of

0:29:31 > 0:29:36winning here for the first time in a long time.Scotland will have a the

0:29:36 > 0:29:42back game and thought, this is not good enough. They said if we concede

0:29:42 > 0:29:46that many tries, we will not win games. Wales will have said the

0:29:46 > 0:29:54same. Especially with the injuries on the front row. Ali Price can get

0:29:54 > 0:30:01the ball away very quickly. Wales will try to get stuck into them.It

0:30:01 > 0:30:05won't surprise me, I know everybody said there are ten Scarlets on the

0:30:05 > 0:30:09watching, but there will be times in the game when Wales get to the

0:30:09 > 0:30:14middle of the field and deliberate goat tied. They will want to

0:30:14 > 0:30:17challenge the Scottish front five. So can Scotland handle the

0:30:17 > 0:30:20expectation they have never had before I get an away win? It will

0:30:20 > 0:30:26set up their Six Nations brilliantly. The more we talk about

0:30:26 > 0:30:30it, the louder Delilah gets, it is so exciting.
