:00:31. > :00:38.Good evening. It has been yet another incredible day of drama here

:00:39. > :00:43.in Cardiff. We started with a 32 players and tonight the field

:00:44. > :00:46.reduced to eight, who will contest the quarterfinals tomorrow. The

:00:47. > :00:51.adventure is over for the Welsh wild card who has been making all the

:00:52. > :00:56.headlines. It has been a weak one teenager will never forget. Jackson

:00:57. > :01:02.Page grabbed the limelight by making the last 32 at the age of 15. When

:01:03. > :01:09.his big moment came against his boyhood hero we could lay a finger

:01:10. > :01:11.on Judd Trump and it was a whitewash but the pundits are predicting a

:01:12. > :01:15.bright future for the Welsh schoolboy. It was great out there

:01:16. > :01:21.but playing someone like Judd Trump I am not going to get many chances

:01:22. > :01:24.and the once you as you have to take but obviously with the pressure I

:01:25. > :01:30.suppose and nerves of being out there I just didn't take them but it

:01:31. > :01:34.has been great. My first tournament. Even if I lost first-round it would

:01:35. > :01:39.still have been a great experience but to win two grains has been

:01:40. > :01:44.great. While Judd Trump marched on another big-name crashed out, world

:01:45. > :01:49.number one Mark Selby eliminated by a teenager who only turned pro two

:01:50. > :01:54.years ago. It was no narrow win either for Yan Bingtao from China,

:01:55. > :01:59.he lost frame one but he never looked back after that. The perfect

:02:00. > :02:05.way to spend his 17th birthday, and a huge shock for Mark Selby. Just

:02:06. > :02:09.not good enough really. I performed very poorly and they had chances in

:02:10. > :02:13.both frames but I didn't really capitalise. He has been talked about

:02:14. > :02:17.for over a year now and he had a good season in his first season and

:02:18. > :02:21.he showed obviously what a great player he is out there today and he

:02:22. > :02:27.has just turned 17 live on TV and held himself together well. This was

:02:28. > :02:30.the last 16 line-up and it featured just one Welshman after Michael

:02:31. > :02:36.White Gloucester Robbie Williams and Dominic Dale was eaten. Lee Walker

:02:37. > :02:41.was flying the flag for Wales against a 19-year-old Chinese

:02:42. > :02:47.player. We will show you what happened when Judd Trump met the

:02:48. > :03:00.first professional player ever to come out of Iran. We join it with

:03:01. > :03:24.Judd Trump 2-1 but Saint FA leading. -- Hossein Ayouri is leading.

:03:25. > :03:43.42 behind but more than enough to take the frame. The reds look well

:03:44. > :03:50.spread. It would just come Judd Trump down a little in this match.

:03:51. > :04:01.Obviously not panicking next -- yet, he leads to - one, but two breaks.

:04:02. > :04:15.A few minutes just asserting himself on this match, but a seemingly

:04:16. > :04:17.effortless break would just settle him down here, and, of course, put

:04:18. > :05:22.him within one of the winner. The black looks as though it goes

:05:23. > :05:26.into the left corner possibly, but he is playing up with the blue. He

:05:27. > :05:32.cut into thin and once again he hasn't got the pace right. We could

:05:33. > :05:38.see another one running around the table, the cue ball, steaming as it

:05:39. > :05:52.goes. He is playing the yellow instead.

:05:53. > :06:04.He was lucky his arm didn't fall off when he hit that, he hit it so hard

:06:05. > :06:16.then. A good shot though. He just can't get the right position.

:06:17. > :06:23.It must be so difficult for him out there, his mind is thinking, what is

:06:24. > :06:27.happening here? He is normally so efficient with the balls but he

:06:28. > :06:33.hasn't been at all in this match. 56 was OK but it was not great. Since

:06:34. > :06:43.the first frame he hasn't looked 100%.

:06:44. > :06:53.That is a good pot from there. White on the side cushion, that is very

:06:54. > :07:20.miserable. Just five behind now. 39. I think it is OK. He is straight

:07:21. > :07:34.on the blue but he hasn't got the pink. Probably screwing off the side

:07:35. > :07:53.and bottom cushion. Still a very good positioning shot.

:07:54. > :08:02.Still not in a good position. He is in between everything. Read only

:08:03. > :08:08.goes into the left corner pocket, he can't really play the blue and get

:08:09. > :08:25.on it, surely. Even with this power. Or can he? Wow! If he gets on that

:08:26. > :08:29.red, it's a miracle. That's what makes him special. He brings these

:08:30. > :08:50.shots out that others won't even see.

:08:51. > :09:40.Hossein requires snookers. An expression gives away his

:09:41. > :09:43.frustration there. This has been an excellent clearance from Judd Trump.

:09:44. > :09:49.He has had to work hard for it and produced some great shots. His best

:09:50. > :09:52.break of the match so far and he is within one of the winning line and a

:09:53. > :09:59.place in the Welsh Open quarterfinals. So Trump is looking

:10:00. > :10:09.pretty much unstoppable. We will now go to frame five, with Hossein

:10:10. > :10:13.Vafaei at the table and no score. Judd Trump has had to work hard to

:10:14. > :10:20.find himself within a frame of victory here against Hossein Vafaei.

:10:21. > :10:28.Many of those long pots have been dropping for the 22-year-old. But

:10:29. > :10:30.this is a clear-cut chance right at the beginning of what could be the

:10:31. > :10:57.last frame in the match. Judd Trump is keen to get on with

:10:58. > :11:01.this as quickly as possible. An excellent break of 84 in the

:11:02. > :11:09.preceding frame, before that his best was 56 when he broke down a

:11:10. > :11:16.frame ball in the second. That second frame turned out to be 37

:11:17. > :11:17.minutes, which is why we have now been playing for almost an hour and

:11:18. > :11:44.a half. It's the start of the fifth. That 84 break you mentioned has put

:11:45. > :11:47.him back into sync. 15. A lot of professional snooker players, you

:11:48. > :11:51.know, when they are playing really well they feel, can they continue

:11:52. > :11:54.doing it? And when they are playing bad they know they are going to

:11:55. > :12:06.continue doing it. You can't have both of them. 22.

:12:07. > :12:33.That is what we call a split. He may output to reds to the side of the

:12:34. > :12:42.commission but they won't come into play if he continues this form. A

:12:43. > :12:44.nice space between all the reds to make them pot in a number of

:12:45. > :13:02.pockets. A great player. This didn't make the contact there,

:13:03. > :13:53.obviously, didn't get a spin on. Just getting this cleaned again.

:13:54. > :14:09.He could finish with a flourish here. A couple of red zone

:14:10. > :14:28.aggression but he is essentially on for 140 plus here. And he stays up

:14:29. > :14:35.on the blue. Terry was right. That 84, the 3-1 lead seems to have got

:14:36. > :14:44.Judd Trump back on track. After what was potentially turning into a

:14:45. > :14:51.little bit of a scrappy encounter. Great effort from Hossein Vafaei to

:14:52. > :14:57.make it to the last 16 to go with his quarterfinal appearance in the

:14:58. > :15:04.Northern Ireland open just before Christmas and, all of a sudden, Judd

:15:05. > :15:21.Trump is on the verge of victory here. So, slickers required for

:15:22. > :15:34.Hossein Vafaei. -- snookers. Trump's class has risen to the fore. And

:15:35. > :15:40.saying that, he's decided to shake hands, and that visit, a great run

:15:41. > :15:44.for Hossein Vafaei into the last 16 but Judd Trump found his rhythm

:15:45. > :15:52.towards the end of the match and it is he who advances to the

:15:53. > :15:58.quarterfinals, 4-1. It was a bit of a struggle. At 2-1 it was getting a

:15:59. > :16:02.bit bogged down and a bit slow and to me that was an important frame,

:16:03. > :16:06.winning that and I ended up scoring well in the last frame but at one

:16:07. > :16:10.point it looked like it was going to be a long, drawn-out game, so just

:16:11. > :16:16.glad to get through, and quite comfortably, in the end. Trump's

:16:17. > :16:20.quarterfinal opponent is another top 16 players fine form, the three-time

:16:21. > :16:27.Welsh Open semifinalist Barry Hawkins. The world Grand Prix winner

:16:28. > :16:36.with a 4-1 win early in the day and then a 4-0 rout of Craig Steadman is

:16:37. > :16:40.book his place in the last eight. This was the week that Lee Walker of

:16:41. > :16:44.Newport stepped out of the shadows. He has beaten two former world

:16:45. > :16:50.champions, Neil Robertson and Graeme Dott, to make the last 16, but he

:16:51. > :16:58.came unstuck against the 19-year-old Chinese player, Zhou Yuelong. Down

:16:59. > :17:02.to earth with a 4-0 defeat. It was a big disappointment to go out like

:17:03. > :17:09.that, and it will always be difficult away that I play, to play

:17:10. > :17:12.two matches in day. I had a long match with Neil, then one against

:17:13. > :17:17.Graham and then back on in the night. But he is a great young

:17:18. > :17:21.player. I just wish that I could have given him a better game rather

:17:22. > :17:26.than just giving it to him, really. It is never nice to make it easy for

:17:27. > :17:31.him, which I did tonight, but the week, on the hall, has been

:17:32. > :17:35.brilliant. Last Welshman standing, which is great, did better than Mark

:17:36. > :17:43.Williams, so make sure you get that on camera! It has been a great week.

:17:44. > :17:50.Just a little bit of a shame that I couldn't carry it on, but everything

:17:51. > :17:53.has been positive. The man who sent defending champion Ronnie O'Sullivan

:17:54. > :17:59.home yesterday is out himself. Mark Davis beaten 4-3 by Scott Donaldson.

:18:00. > :18:04.Stuart Carrington had never made it beyond round two before but he's

:18:05. > :18:19.into the quarterfinals after beating the Brazilian, Michael.

:18:20. > :18:27.This is Robbie Williams' seventh attempt to get out of a snooker

:18:28. > :18:34.against Stuart Bingham. We join it in frame seven. Different tactic.

:18:35. > :18:48.Agonisingly short. Stuart, almost a little bit

:18:49. > :19:00.apologetic as he indicates to the remaining referee, yes please, back

:19:01. > :19:06.where it started. -- Romanian referee.

:19:07. > :19:11.CHEERING And some ironic applause from the

:19:12. > :19:17.crowd. Robbie Williams act knowledges that. A bit of a

:19:18. > :19:38.marathon, to get out of that one. LAUGHTER. And a puff of the cheeks

:19:39. > :19:42.therefrom Robbie Williams. Not quite as difficult, this one. Oh, dear.

:19:43. > :20:06.REFEREE: Foul, Stuart Bingham, four. 35 on without one red, 31 behind. A

:20:07. > :20:07.little bit of amusement here, but this will cease to be funny for

:20:08. > :20:27.Robbie Williams very soon. APPLAUSE

:20:28. > :20:32.Oh, yes! He just put his hand up there, to acknowledge that one.

:20:33. > :20:39.Maybe he deserved a little bit of luck, there. It has been a torrid

:20:40. > :20:45.few minutes for him. He has flipped the red, he's on the brown and if he

:20:46. > :20:52.was to pot the brown and clear up, he would win by a point. And if you

:20:53. > :20:56.were a betting man you would rather have money on Robbie Williams to

:20:57. > :21:13.clear up, here. Because all the balls are in open play.

:21:14. > :21:20.Just goes to show, doesn't it, all of those mistakes trying to escape a

:21:21. > :21:24.snooker from Robbie Williams, he can't do anything in terms of the

:21:25. > :21:30.scoreboard, but he gave at least 20 points or more away in fouls, but

:21:31. > :21:37.because of the way that the car was well positioned, it was a red ball

:21:38. > :21:44.game. -- the way that the colours were positioned.

:21:45. > :21:53.36 points given away in fouls. What a steal this would be. He needs all

:21:54. > :22:28.three and he could do it by a point. Robbie Williams has never beaten

:22:29. > :22:30.Stuart Bingham in three meetings. And it has got a little bit tricky

:22:31. > :22:50.now. Well, middle left gave him the

:22:51. > :22:54.opportunity. It was a fluke red and he thought maybe he could finish it

:22:55. > :23:02.off in style to the middle right, not to be. The speed of this table

:23:03. > :23:07.and the speed of the cushions forced Robbie to overhit pink to black. He

:23:08. > :23:15.tried the double, got very fortunate when he missed it, but that is a

:23:16. > :23:20.wonderful safety from Stuart. What will he do with this one? A couple

:23:21. > :23:25.of things he could do. He could play the black straight up and down the

:23:26. > :23:29.spots again like Stewart has just done, or come from behind the black

:23:30. > :23:35.and kick it down the table. And that is what he has done. You never quite

:23:36. > :23:37.know whether black is finishing when you play that shot. It has finished

:23:38. > :23:58.pretty well. APPLAUSE

:23:59. > :24:08.A big investment from both men in this frame, approaching 36 minutes.

:24:09. > :24:19.It could be a long night here in the Motorpoint Arena.

:24:20. > :24:25.Dominic Day, how much time do you guys spend with just these two balls

:24:26. > :24:36.on the table, precisely for this kind of scenario? Not much, really.

:24:37. > :24:41.Sometimes if you are practising with a fellow professional you might play

:24:42. > :24:46.some re-spotted black and have ?1 on each one of them as a friendly debt,

:24:47. > :24:53.but we do practice safety shot clipping the age of reds clipping

:24:54. > :24:56.shots back into baulk, as sort of an exercise routine and many of the

:24:57. > :25:04.shots that you would see from a re-spot situation like this involved

:25:05. > :25:07.that type of a shock. But it is more about the pressure you feel on a

:25:08. > :25:14.re-spotted black when one shot can cost you the frame. It is in the

:25:15. > :25:15.mind, rather than in the intrinsic difficulty of the shots that you

:25:16. > :25:37.have to play. It has been something of an epic

:25:38. > :25:44.opener, this one. Stewart just taps the table. Neither man giving the

:25:45. > :25:53.arbour and opening on the black, yet. That is potentially the most

:25:54. > :25:57.telling safety shot I have seen from this re-spotted black. Much more

:25:58. > :26:05.difficult to get a good safety shot here, and that is well played. He

:26:06. > :26:12.played the black on such a manner from the side cushion to deflect it

:26:13. > :26:16.towards the top cushion. That is a little bit of a nothing shot, but

:26:17. > :26:17.when you play those really well you can cause some problems for your

:26:18. > :26:34.opponent. Well Stuart try a double-header? It

:26:35. > :26:45.has been an exciting frame, this one, and it still continues -- Will

:26:46. > :26:56.Stuart try a double? And at what stage in a frame like

:26:57. > :27:09.this do you get tempted to go for the big finish? I fancy Stuart to

:27:10. > :27:14.double this black. A 39 minute opening frame and it is Stuart

:27:15. > :27:22.Bingham who takes it on a re-spotted black. He leads by one frame to nil.

:27:23. > :27:25.You got there in the end. After that mammoth 39 minute frame lets take

:27:26. > :27:42.you into a much shorter second one. Williams at the table, no score.

:27:43. > :27:48.We'll Robbie Williams feel a bit disheartened after that? He battled

:27:49. > :27:53.for 40 minutes and came out of the frame with nothing. It was quite a

:27:54. > :28:00.way to finish as well. Black to middle left, he did it in style.

:28:01. > :28:03.Yes, unfortunately Robbie just happened to leave the balls lined up

:28:04. > :28:07.perfectly for a double for Stuart and here is that double. It is one

:28:08. > :28:12.of those doubles you would be disappointed to miss as a player. Of

:28:13. > :28:18.course no double is a certainty but as far as doubles go that was as

:28:19. > :28:21.easy as they have got. I am not sure if Stuart tried to put that red.

:28:22. > :28:26.There are three balls of the line in the middle of that pack of roads

:28:27. > :28:31.that are set for that corner. He tried to cannoned them in a line to

:28:32. > :28:37.make the plant and he actually looks that read, he did not play it. --

:28:38. > :28:54.fluked that red. He is playing this plant now, you

:28:55. > :28:55.see. In doing so, you expect it to open a pack of reds probably a lot

:28:56. > :30:38.more than he did do actually. 28. Well, we'll Robbie see that

:30:39. > :30:42.opening frame as a missed opportunity against a player that he

:30:43. > :30:50.has not beaten in three meetings? If so, how difficult will it be to put

:30:51. > :30:53.that disappointment out of his mind? Well, of course, this is what the

:30:54. > :30:57.great players in all sports do so well, keep the mind of the present

:30:58. > :31:03.and accept what has gone before and to deal with it and deal with it

:31:04. > :31:06.quickly so that when you lose a frame like that one it doesn't cost

:31:07. > :31:12.you the next frame as well because you are still dwelling on what has

:31:13. > :31:17.just happened. I suppose in tennis turns it is a bit like a net cord at

:31:18. > :31:21.a crucial stage in a vital tie break or something like that, something

:31:22. > :31:28.that the player has to deal with immediately before he gets onto the

:31:29. > :31:34.next set. Good and bad fortune will always happen in snooker but often

:31:35. > :31:46.it is how you deal with it if things are not going your way.

:31:47. > :31:53.I think Stuart can just about get through to the potting angle of this

:31:54. > :32:03.red. He may plate with a trace of right-hand side.

:32:04. > :32:11.He was able to play it. I actually meant to left side, to bend the ball

:32:12. > :32:12.slightly around the blue to make the potting angle, but it was not

:32:13. > :32:47.necessary. That was a super sort -- a super

:32:48. > :32:51.shot from Stuart. He possesses great cue power, well-controlled cue

:32:52. > :33:05.power. A choice of reds, one into the pocket past the green.

:33:06. > :33:09.He touched that beautifully, just missed the cannon on the blue that

:33:10. > :33:13.could have caused to have a bad angle on it but I know Stuart would

:33:14. > :33:18.be very disappointed if you can't go on and win the frame from here. Reds

:33:19. > :33:31.at his mercy. In its 40 points and it should be plain sailing. -- he

:33:32. > :33:36.needs 40 points. You have said a few times the best of seven. When you

:33:37. > :33:42.lose the first suddenly the second frame becomes absolutely crucial,

:33:43. > :33:48.especially if you bear in mind Robbie Williams has never beaten

:33:49. > :33:54.Stuart. One of those defeats came in the World Championship. 10-7 in the

:33:55. > :33:58.first round, the year that Stuart won it. I think he may have had a

:33:59. > :34:07.little bit of a cold at the start of that tournament as well.

:34:08. > :34:13.You sensed this frame is slipping away from Robbie. It is passing a

:34:14. > :35:08.lot quicker than the first. 36. Justice red and one more colour

:35:09. > :35:15.required for Stuart to take a 2-0 lead. This frame and been much

:35:16. > :35:28.easier from his of view. Less than ten minutes this frame induration.

:35:29. > :35:33.The audience here are big snooker aficionados and they recognised that

:35:34. > :35:40.that black was the frame ball. Oh, now, did he hit the pink first

:35:41. > :35:44.there. Oh, that was a foul. You can and the pink before he hit the red.

:35:45. > :35:49.You could tell that from the fact that the pink move down where the

:35:50. > :35:53.cue ball finished, but even so Robbie Williams remained in his

:35:54. > :36:01.chair, he is too far in arrears to have done anything about it so it is

:36:02. > :36:06.2-0 Stuart Bingham. Yes, despite the foul Stuart Bingham

:36:07. > :36:08.was pretty much in the group so could Robbie Williams do anything

:36:09. > :36:38.about it? We will head into frame three.

:36:39. > :37:02.Oh, dear. Only 16 in front. Could that prove very costly error? Yes,

:37:03. > :37:06.it could do, Rob. I think Robbie Williams ought to have known that

:37:07. > :37:10.the way he played that shot the red was going to cannoned into the pink

:37:11. > :37:14.which would deflect the red towards that right corner, as it did. Maybe

:37:15. > :37:19.he intended to catch the initial read much thinner than he did to

:37:20. > :37:20.stop that happening. But he has got to hope now that Stuart breaks down

:37:21. > :38:11.somehow. Seven. 11. It hasn't been an easy match and

:38:12. > :38:14.I guess at this level you don't expect any, despite the scoreline.

:38:15. > :38:40.14. 18. He needs the blue and the pink

:38:41. > :38:51.to move within one frame of a place in the quarterfinals. Yes, that is

:38:52. > :38:55.true, he has given himself too much angle on this blue. He has had to

:38:56. > :38:58.play a cannon into the pink as a way of holding the cue ball down the

:38:59. > :39:06.centre of the table, and it could have gone better. Now then... 2-0

:39:07. > :39:13.ahead and he just needs the pink 43-0. Decision time for Stuart

:39:14. > :39:20.Bingham. Will he this on? He could play a good safety play the cue ball

:39:21. > :39:23.up towards baulk and play the side cushion or he could move the pink up

:39:24. > :39:28.towards the baulk, but I think he has taken it on. It is a great one

:39:29. > :39:31.from Stuart, played with full commitment and concentration and

:39:32. > :39:35.belief and the pink having gone in has meant that Stuart Bingham is now

:39:36. > :39:41.one frame away from a place in the quarterfinals. He leads Robbie

:39:42. > :39:46.Williams by 3-0. Yes a big is now very close into a

:39:47. > :39:49.place into the last date and we go into frame for with Williams at the

:39:50. > :40:01.table on a break of 60. That is just typical. When things

:40:02. > :40:05.aren't going your way you don't take the chances away that you would hope

:40:06. > :40:08.to, and when things are going wrong, this is what tends to happen to you,

:40:09. > :40:19.bad luck tends to start to creep into things as well. You can't

:40:20. > :40:30.believe that from his perspective. Does it iron itself out? The rub of

:40:31. > :40:34.the balls? Well, you have to pretend that it will iron itself out, but of

:40:35. > :40:38.course, in truth, it doesn't always. It might do during the course of the

:40:39. > :40:41.season but there will be many times when during a match you don't get

:40:42. > :40:45.anything working for you and you get a lot of bad luck. Every time you go

:40:46. > :40:52.into a pack of roads you land on nothing. Then in other matches every

:40:53. > :40:56.time you touch the meeting to be land on something. Certainly during

:40:57. > :41:00.the course of an individual match you can have all sorts of bad luck

:41:01. > :41:03.and your opponent can have all sorts of good luck and you have no chance

:41:04. > :41:07.of winning it but then you play a match a few weeks later and it is

:41:08. > :41:17.the other way around. When you are on the wrong side of Lady luck, how

:41:18. > :41:22.do you cope with that? Well, that is when you need the help of someone

:41:23. > :41:30.like Sigmund Freud. Or Terry Griffiths. As a last resort. No, I

:41:31. > :41:34.mean Terry has had a wonderful career in snooker, of course, he has

:41:35. > :41:38.been there and done it and he knows exactly, as all players do, what

:41:39. > :41:43.goes through a mind, the player 's mind, during the course of every

:41:44. > :41:49.tournament that you claim, every match that you play. Of course, with

:41:50. > :41:54.Terry 's knowledge of the game he imparts some of that knowledge to

:41:55. > :41:56.the youth on the tour currently and there are some very useful advice to

:41:57. > :42:43.there are some very useful advice to all kinds of players really.

:42:44. > :42:51.He will be a relieved man to get over the line, if he does, without

:42:52. > :42:57.conceding a frame. He has given Robbie chances in this match, and he

:42:58. > :43:02.hasn't been able to capitalise. When you win a match you forget all about

:43:03. > :43:10.it, but I think the top players probably analyse the run performance

:43:11. > :43:16.even when they do win. Stuart must understand that if Robbie had been

:43:17. > :43:19.playing like you can play on another day he might not have won this

:43:20. > :43:23.match. I don't think that Stuart will be particularly pleased with

:43:24. > :43:35.his performance, but he will be delighted with the scoreline. I was

:43:36. > :43:46.quite surprised when I went over his statistics at the Welsh Open. He

:43:47. > :43:54.made the quarters, way back in 1999. I'm the only other time he has made

:43:55. > :44:02.the last eight or beyond was when he just lost out to Stephen Maguire in

:44:03. > :44:06.a decider in Newport, in 2013, so in 20 attempts to win the Welsh Open,

:44:07. > :44:15.he has only made the quarters, twice. This would be a decent

:44:16. > :44:27.victory for him in a tournament that hasn't given them a great deal over

:44:28. > :44:34.the last two decades of entry. He was runner-up to John Higgins in

:44:35. > :44:40.China championship this season. He has had four big semifinal

:44:41. > :44:47.appearances this season including in Germany, losing out to Anthony

:44:48. > :44:55.Hamilton. What a story that was for the Sheriff of Pottingham. I did not

:44:56. > :45:01.come up with that nickname, by the way. That was coined long before I

:45:02. > :45:09.appeared on the scene. He has had some good form this season, Stuart.

:45:10. > :45:14.He will be happy getting to the interview room, then getting a good

:45:15. > :45:20.night's sleep, assuming he finishes this frame of, to contemplate his

:45:21. > :45:37.third Welsh Open quarterfinal in 21 years. He is getting ever closer.

:45:38. > :45:40.Just this red and another, require. So fortunately for Stuart it will

:45:41. > :45:44.not be one of the two remaining difficult reds. Just needs to

:45:45. > :45:56.concentrate during the course of this break. This black, for a place

:45:57. > :46:00.in the quarterfinals. He is confident enough to develop the

:46:01. > :46:06.awkward red on this top cushion. He could cut this in if he wants to

:46:07. > :46:12.have a go at it. Robbie Williams will feel he has played his last

:46:13. > :46:24.shots in this year's Welsh Open. Or has he? 48 points behind, 43 on the

:46:25. > :46:28.table so requiring two snookers. It did seem that Williams was chasing a

:46:29. > :46:32.lost cause, needing snookers to win the frame. They did play on for

:46:33. > :46:39.another six minutes or so, but Williams conceded in the end and the

:46:40. > :46:47.world number two completing the 4-0 whitewash to make sure of a place in

:46:48. > :46:50.the quarterfinals. Stuart, 4-0, it all sounds straightforward, but he

:46:51. > :46:54.made you work for it in a funny kind of way. Robbie is a good lad. The

:46:55. > :47:00.first frame was massive. He had a chance at clearing up and luckily I

:47:01. > :47:08.buried the black to nick it. It was hard work. The pink that he took to

:47:09. > :47:16.get on the black, it pinged off of a couple of cushions. Coming off two

:47:17. > :47:20.cushions it was a bit of a lottery. You missed a few but he was not able

:47:21. > :47:24.to capitalise on those chances. I guess that you will have to tighten

:47:25. > :47:30.that up in the quarterfinals. Definitely. The way that the table

:47:31. > :47:36.played, it made me of confidence in it. I was trying to get the White to

:47:37. > :47:44.the object ball with a bit of action and just decelerating forward.

:47:45. > :47:52.Getting used to it now and tomorrow will be a new day and it will be a

:47:53. > :47:55.good match with Stu. You're one of only three guys in the top 30 in the

:47:56. > :47:58.world still in it and you're the only one of the big three in the

:47:59. > :48:04.bottom half of the draw. I didn't that. I have seen some of them

:48:05. > :48:07.getting beat but you have just got to concentrate on your own match. It

:48:08. > :48:11.was a tough game today and I could easily have lost a few of those

:48:12. > :48:16.frames. I will just concentrate on the match tomorrow. Good luck. See

:48:17. > :48:23.you for the quarters. Let's round up the other resorts. Robert Milkins

:48:24. > :48:28.overcame his Chinese challenger to make the last eight with a 4-2

:48:29. > :48:34.victory. And after beating the world number one Mark Selby, Yan Bingtao

:48:35. > :48:36.came unstuck against the Norwegian Kurt Maflin. So this is how they

:48:37. > :48:46.line up for the Arguably that tie of the round

:48:47. > :48:52.between Judd Trump and Barry Hawkins. Stuart Bingham begin Stuart

:48:53. > :48:59.Carrington, and Robert Milkins will need to beat Kurt Maflin to make the

:49:00. > :49:03.semis. Are we any closer to knowing who is likely to get their hands on

:49:04. > :49:08.the Ray Reardon Trophy come Sunday night? The way that this tournament

:49:09. > :49:17.has gone, frankly, it is anyone's guess. Join us tomorrow from 1pm on

:49:18. > :49:18.BBC Two Wales. A place in the semifinals will be at stake. From

:49:19. > :49:21.all of us, good night. (Whatever happens,

:49:22. > :49:23.stay close to me.) MUSIC: Perfect
