:00:31. > :00:38.Good evening. What a week it's been at the Welsh Open, with shocks, wild

:00:39. > :00:43.cards and outsiders upsetting the odds. Would the trend continue

:00:44. > :00:53.quarterfinals day? A the very few have expected. We saw 19-year-old

:00:54. > :00:59.Rocky take on Scotland's Scott Donaldson. World number four Judd

:01:00. > :01:05.Trump was against number eight, Barry Hawkins. The two Stewarts,

:01:06. > :01:13.former world champion and second seed Bingham versus former world

:01:14. > :01:16.number five Carrington. And two men never won a ranking title, Robert

:01:17. > :01:25.Milkins against Norwegian Kurt Maflin. We will star with the former

:01:26. > :01:28.world champion, Stuart Bingham against Stuart Carrington who is

:01:29. > :01:31.enjoying his best ever performance at a ranking event that a crushing

:01:32. > :01:37.start for Carrington as Bingham bounced into a 4-0 lead before

:01:38. > :01:41.Carrington pulls two back and made it 4-2. This is frame five

:01:42. > :02:14.Carrington at the table trailing by ten points.

:02:15. > :02:22.Darren, I you surprised at how nervy Stuart Bingham has got in this

:02:23. > :02:28.match? Definitely, especially with the way he has played the first four

:02:29. > :02:31.frames. There has been quite a few strange shots played by both players

:02:32. > :02:36.so it tells you how much it means to the pair of them out here. It is as

:02:37. > :02:40.if Stewart now is trying not to lose, instead of the way he was

:02:41. > :02:44.playing, playing to win. All of a sudden he is trying to be cagey. He

:02:45. > :02:48.refused the black and he played the blue with a corner pocket instead of

:02:49. > :02:54.the middle pocket which he would do nine times out of ten. Then we have

:02:55. > :02:57.seen it as well with Stuart Carrington, he has played a couple

:02:58. > :03:01.of negative shots where he has put himself into a winning position. It

:03:02. > :03:05.has been a good contest, to be fair. It looked as though it would be

:03:06. > :03:10.totally one-sided and all over in a flash but he has made a match of it.

:03:11. > :03:14.He has got Stuart playing -- feeling very uncomfortable. He has got a

:03:15. > :03:21.good cue ball but he hasn't got the blue. This is now an opportunity for

:03:22. > :03:24.Stuart Carrington, albeit there is ten foot between both balls, but he

:03:25. > :03:28.has got to put a good cue action on this. Plain-ball, top of the cue

:03:29. > :03:33.ball, Pogba blew off one commissioner back down for the pink.

:03:34. > :03:35.He has to, just make sure of the port. This is all about the delivery

:03:36. > :04:06.of the cue. What a shot. The cue ball is not

:04:07. > :04:10.where he wants it to be but, as Darren Morgan said, that was all

:04:11. > :04:16.about the five points on the board, and in that regard he did

:04:17. > :04:24.brilliantly to keep this frame, and therefore the match, alive.

:04:25. > :04:31.The shot really to win the game, he has two options, he can either play

:04:32. > :04:35.pink to the left corner which means swinging the ball right around the

:04:36. > :04:38.table, and I think that is the way he's going to go. He had the other

:04:39. > :04:44.option of playing the pink left-centre but he is going the

:04:45. > :04:49.corner. He has got the pink. That cue ball is coming through. That is

:04:50. > :05:04.a terrific shot. Well played, young man. Well, this is incredible. This

:05:05. > :05:12.black to go for- three. And he has done it. From being dead and buried,

:05:13. > :05:16.suddenly he is right back in the match and it is the former world

:05:17. > :05:21.champion who is rattled. Stuart Bingham leads that Carrington is on

:05:22. > :05:25.the way back. So, could Carrington complete the

:05:26. > :05:28.perfect comeback. Into frame eight with Bing at the table, and he is

:05:29. > :05:44.leading by four points. Superb from the world number two.

:05:45. > :05:54.Under pressure and confidence dropping. That was an excellent

:05:55. > :05:56.snooker. If he does win this match it will be fascinating to hear his

:05:57. > :06:15.thoughts afterwards. Two hours and 55 minutes now in this

:06:16. > :06:17.match. Apparently in the early stages it looks like it would last

:06:18. > :06:42.half this long. Foul. Yes, you could see he was

:06:43. > :06:46.reluctant to play that. He knew he would always give a foul ball a few

:06:47. > :06:50.mystic, which he has done. Still, it is nicely on the yellow and I still

:06:51. > :06:57.think there is a lot of play left in this frame. The green on the side

:06:58. > :07:00.commission, obviously if Stewart can put this colour, red colour, yellow,

:07:01. > :07:29.he has got the perfect opportunity to lay snooker behind the black.

:07:30. > :07:36.You might see him play of this pink to leave an angle of the red to

:07:37. > :07:39.leave the green. He will have already worked out in his mind

:07:40. > :07:44.exactly how weird is going to go about this clearance now and whether

:07:45. > :07:49.he is going to play to pop the green or just leave the snooker and leave

:07:50. > :08:00.the ball, he is already got that planned out. It is just executing

:08:01. > :08:07.the plan now. A little bit short on the pink, but he is still OK. We

:08:08. > :08:16.will soon know. Think to yellow, and does he play to move the green? Or

:08:17. > :08:25.Labour snooker? -- or lay the snooker. I would say he is probably

:08:26. > :08:27.just out to make sure the yellow punched the green around the table,

:08:28. > :08:48.set the cue ball behind the black. Well, he has got way into that. We

:08:49. > :08:51.wanted to be a lot closer to the green and further over to the

:08:52. > :08:56.cushion. He has now only got half the green ball to play with and this

:08:57. > :09:04.is a twitchy little shot. He has just over done that. He is very

:09:05. > :09:10.close again in this frame to being safe. One ball away.

:09:11. > :09:27.Stuart Bingham, 16. Stuart Carrington may get through to this

:09:28. > :09:33.green, I can't imagine him get through to a full ball, but if you

:09:34. > :09:35.could, no, Stuart Bingham must be so relieved. A little nod, this has

:09:36. > :10:03.been hard work since the interval. One thing is for certain, which ever

:10:04. > :10:08.way this match goes, both stuart will remember it, from a different

:10:09. > :10:24.perspective, for a very long time. He is looking at a very clever shot

:10:25. > :10:27.here and he is going to come off the Cushman tried it the green fall in

:10:28. > :10:39.the face and Lisa Whiting behind the black. If it goes right this will be

:10:40. > :10:44.a very, very clever shot. It hasn't. It was a really good idea. I think

:10:45. > :10:53.Stewart can just get to the potting angle of this green.

:10:54. > :11:05.Three hours, are we about to see the key moment in this frame? Yes, he

:11:06. > :11:09.has got it. Stuart Carrington now requires two four points Leuchars.

:11:10. > :11:41.-- snookers. Well, it was incredibly tense and

:11:42. > :11:45.tight end to the frame with the two men going toe to toe with being

:11:46. > :11:49.tried to get over the line of characters struggling to square it

:11:50. > :11:51.out for - four. They needed snookers amid played on for another nine

:11:52. > :12:00.minutes or so before Stuart Carrington conceded in the end.

:12:01. > :12:08.Victory and huge relief for the world number two, securing his place

:12:09. > :12:13.in the world semifinals. At the moment I am still a bit puzzled as

:12:14. > :12:19.to how I got through that but, yes, as semifinal against Rob McInnes, it

:12:20. > :12:23.is going to be tough. He is great to watch and he gets on with it and he

:12:24. > :12:30.is a great lad and I think we turned pro the same year, so he is probably

:12:31. > :12:36.one of the players that underachieved. When he is on one he

:12:37. > :12:40.can steam-roll anyone, so I will have two play like I did before the

:12:41. > :12:46.interval tonight to try and stand a chance. I am looking forward to it.

:12:47. > :12:50.As Bingham says he has Robert Milkins in the semifinal after the

:12:51. > :12:56.world number 42 saw off Kurt Maflin in the other last eight tie. It is

:12:57. > :12:59.the first time Elkins has one in 3/4-finals at the Welsh Open and

:13:00. > :13:05.this was a victory over the Norwegian as he faces a first

:13:06. > :13:10.ranking title. Tonight I came out and Kurt got off to a good start,

:13:11. > :13:15.like he normally does. The scores Woody gets in. I made a cracking

:13:16. > :13:21.break the second frame and it settled me and then I think I got on

:13:22. > :13:25.top of him a bit really. A big turning point in the fourth frame

:13:26. > :13:31.and he missed one or two in the third but he was 50 up in the fourth

:13:32. > :13:37.and I think I cleared up so it gave me the opportunity to kick on. Said

:13:38. > :13:42.to the quarterfinal between two of the worlds top ten, Judd Trump

:13:43. > :13:47.against Barry Hawkins. It was all square at 3-3 after six frames.

:13:48. > :14:02.Let's go into frame seven, with Trump at the table, leading 61-15.

:14:03. > :14:08.Oh, the last thing Judd wanted was that double-kiss. It wasn't an easy

:14:09. > :14:13.safety shot he was faced with that, it has to be said. It was a

:14:14. > :14:23.catastrophe of a double-kiss for Judd. Barry is right a month from

:14:24. > :14:26.now. -- ) amongst them now. Can he produced one of his great

:14:27. > :14:30.clearances? A little careful there with the pot and it didn't quite get

:14:31. > :14:46.the side of the blue that you wanted to be.

:14:47. > :15:00.Three of these four reds are nice and opened the Barry. What a visit

:15:01. > :15:06.this would be if he were able to make this frame, when it looked, for

:15:07. > :15:17.all the world, as though Judd was going to be the one moving within

:15:18. > :15:23.one of the winner. I'm lucky with the in-off in the case from Trump.

:15:24. > :15:38.It is these mistakes that are allowing Barry back to the table.

:15:39. > :15:46.Two or three potential pitfalls if Barry. One be that red there which

:15:47. > :15:52.is near the top cushion which Barry is going to attempt to pop now. It

:15:53. > :15:55.is a little straight on it. Brown seems to be masking the green

:15:56. > :16:00.slightly and the pink is fairly near the cushion that it could only be

:16:01. > :16:11.played at a slow pace into that pocket. The pots that Barry is going

:16:12. > :16:13.to need to make in the course for winning clearance here. He is going

:16:14. > :16:30.to need all the remaining balls. He probably won't need the final

:16:31. > :16:39.black. He could take a high value colour here.

:16:40. > :16:52.He has got to get a good angle here on the yellow so he can get a

:16:53. > :16:59.position on the green, which is slightly awkward with the brand so

:17:00. > :17:40.close to it. -- with the brown so close to it.

:17:41. > :17:53.43. Well, Judd Trump being forced to sit and watch here. He was so close.

:17:54. > :18:11.He could have moved 4-3 ahead. Assuming Barry Hawkins does make the

:18:12. > :18:16.most of the opportunity, Judd has to win the last two frames, if he is to

:18:17. > :18:30.advance to a second Welsh Open semifinal. Ho. A little wobble on

:18:31. > :18:34.the way in, but it was good. He didn't play great Green, Barry, he

:18:35. > :18:39.potted it is likely to thickly and it didn't come across the table for

:18:40. > :18:44.the brand now. This is not great, Barry, he is faced with unmissable

:18:45. > :18:51.blue under pressure, but to try and get reasonably well on the pink, it

:18:52. > :18:55.is a failure to cut back into the centre. It doesn't need the black,

:18:56. > :19:02.which will help him, just blue and pink required to take the lead for

:19:03. > :19:05.the first time in this match. That is a great pot from Barry, he got

:19:06. > :19:16.the cue ball across the table nicely. You don't want to kick on

:19:17. > :19:19.this kind of shot, I can assure you. You can easily miss these so just

:19:20. > :19:25.one good pot, clean contact required. Oh, it is income of the

:19:26. > :19:28.near Chalk. A great performance from Barry Hawkins and a wonderful

:19:29. > :19:30.clearance from that mistake by Judd Trump ante goes into the lead at a

:19:31. > :19:41.crucial stage at 4-3. So, the momentum had swung towards

:19:42. > :19:43.Barry Hawkins and so let's go into frame eight, what would happen then?

:19:44. > :19:54.Trumpet the table and no score. It looks like he's going for this.

:19:55. > :20:04.What a declaration of intent, at the start of what could be the last

:20:05. > :20:09.frame the match. His long pots have certainly not let him down today. It

:20:10. > :20:19.has been the fact that he has broken down when I'm 49, 50, 40, and in the

:20:20. > :20:28.last frame 45. Six out of seven on the long ones for Judd. Can he force

:20:29. > :20:42.this match into what would be a mouthwatering decider?

:20:43. > :20:48.From nothing he has given himself a wonderful opportunity to amass quite

:20:49. > :20:55.a few points here. It must be said that both players pot success in the

:20:56. > :20:58.course of this match is at 86% each and that is pretty low for both of

:20:59. > :21:07.these players, and particularly Judd Trump. And then both of these

:21:08. > :21:08.players are at their best, and their pot success could be in the mid-90s,

:21:09. > :21:25.that is how good they are. Both players have attempted a

:21:26. > :21:33.similar number of pots. Barry Hawkins has missed 16 pots out of

:21:34. > :21:38.117 while Judd has played 111 pots during the course of this match and

:21:39. > :21:52.he has missed 15 of them. That is quite a lot really.

:21:53. > :22:15.He has lost the last three frames, Judd Trump. He had the opportunity

:22:16. > :22:27.there to split the pack, but he wants to use the remaining reds that

:22:28. > :22:33.are away from the main group. Twice they have gone all the way to a

:22:34. > :23:04.decider before. Not this season. They have each won one of those.

:23:05. > :23:07.There would be a lot of people in the crowd here who would absolutely

:23:08. > :23:24.love to see this go all the way. It was Judd 's attempted split,

:23:25. > :23:34.three reds came away from the main group.

:23:35. > :23:41.Broke down on 45 in the preceding frame and that allowed Barry to get

:23:42. > :23:50.back in. It put all the pressure on the world number four.

:23:51. > :24:00.The crowd applauded there but there was a little wince from Judd.

:24:01. > :24:13.Such a big visit to the table, this. No! He made it difficult for

:24:14. > :24:19.himself. And once again whilst at the table on a break of 40 plus he

:24:20. > :24:29.has broken down. 45 in the last frame and 41 on this occasion. Well,

:24:30. > :24:40.Barry Hawkins has one foot in the semifinals.

:24:41. > :24:52.That was a massive pot from Barry. A tremendous pot on the red. It has

:24:53. > :24:56.gone into the pack, and these reds could not have fanned out in the

:24:57. > :24:59.better for Barry Hawkins. As one might go in front of the other to

:25:00. > :25:07.prevent him from rolling a simple wedding here into the left corner? I

:25:08. > :25:13.don't think that pots, you know. Now, then, option two. Does he not

:25:14. > :25:20.one read on to the other make a plant here? Does this just go... ?

:25:21. > :25:24.Plant it was. He's just missed it. Well, that just goes to show what

:25:25. > :25:27.fine margins are involved in winning and losing matches because if Barry

:25:28. > :25:31.could have got through to that read, that simple read, I would have

:25:32. > :25:42.fancied him to clear in the match. As it is we are looking well set now

:25:43. > :25:47.for a deciding frame. From the point of view of the neutrals watching,

:25:48. > :25:54.and here in the arena, maybe they will get what they want.

:25:55. > :26:01.Judd will not have a better chance, having broken down at 41, to get

:26:02. > :26:06.right back in here, with Barry having split the reds, this is a

:26:07. > :26:15.wonderful opportunity to take us all the way. Yes, I think most people

:26:16. > :26:21.found this a difficult match to call, and it has proven to be so.

:26:22. > :26:27.Once again Judd is not ideally positioned on his colour. I think

:26:28. > :26:34.quite rightly just rolling the blue in playing the simple read to the

:26:35. > :26:46.right corner. Sit on the pink if you can hear to stay close to the next

:26:47. > :26:50.read. -- red. That is about perfect. Just two or three more pots away now

:26:51. > :27:10.and taking this into a deciding frame.

:27:11. > :27:30.Red and pink Barry will be left requiring snookers.

:27:31. > :27:34.So, barring a problem here for Judd, he will be coming out for a night

:27:35. > :27:57.frame. -- ninth frame. Now it is Barry 's turn to sit in

:27:58. > :28:10.the chair and ponder what might have been.

:28:11. > :28:18.So, having split the pack, and left it open, this is what Barry was

:28:19. > :28:30.hoping would continue working for him. And after looking out of sorts

:28:31. > :28:38.for most of the match after the interval, Judd is a couple of breaks

:28:39. > :28:48.here have ensured that we will go to a decider. The first break in this

:28:49. > :29:06.frame, 41, now on 48. He looks absolutely focused. The

:29:07. > :29:07.subtle shifts in psychological advantage in snooker are

:29:08. > :29:27.fascinating. Latter one stays, Barry gives a

:29:28. > :29:33.little Lord, and we are going all the way between two of the very best

:29:34. > :29:47.in the world. -- Barry gives a little nod. Barry has made the final

:29:48. > :29:52.here in Wales on three previous occasions, twice losing out to

:29:53. > :29:58.Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump has also come within one win of a Welsh

:29:59. > :30:10.Open final just been beaten by Stephen Maguire when the Scot took

:30:11. > :30:15.his crown in Newport in 2013. Difficult moments for the friends

:30:16. > :30:21.and family of the players, but from the neutral point of view, this is

:30:22. > :30:30.where we hoped this match would take us. 3-1 up at the interval, Judd

:30:31. > :30:39.Trump making the most of the mistakes from Barry Hawkins. Barry

:30:40. > :30:47.Roux was 4-3 ahead. But it is trump -- Barry moves. It is Trump has the

:30:48. > :30:57.advantage in this deciding frame. He is up for this. Brilliant pot. Barry

:30:58. > :31:03.will be ever so disappointed that the shot he played previously didn't

:31:04. > :31:12.take that opportunity. The black is available into the right corner.

:31:13. > :31:18.That will do Judd for now. Looking to get the red above the black to

:31:19. > :31:22.the left-hand side of it, the pot that leaving the black for potting

:31:23. > :31:29.the other red, next to the black. The high side of the blue, just

:31:30. > :31:35.about right. A choice of rates to play for you, really. He could play

:31:36. > :31:41.for the red to the left of the pack. -- a choice of reds. That is a

:31:42. > :32:11.really good position. The third match between these two

:32:12. > :32:15.that has gone all the way. We haven't seen flawless snooker from

:32:16. > :32:23.these two men this afternoon, but it has been thoroughly absorbing. And a

:32:24. > :32:33.real display of character by Judd Trump in the preceding frame to

:32:34. > :32:38.force this to go all the way. Will Barry Hawkins' adrenaline get him

:32:39. > :32:44.over the line or will he start to feel the effects of fatigue after

:32:45. > :32:51.his title winning performance in Preston on Sunday? This is his tenth

:32:52. > :33:04.match in 11 days and Judd is asking questions of him in this decider.

:33:05. > :33:10.Two more loose reds available to Judd before he has to go into the

:33:11. > :33:14.pack of reds although there are two reds behind the pink that could go

:33:15. > :33:24.into this left-hand corner pocket. Just having a look at them now.

:33:25. > :33:30.Definitely set slightly to the top jaw, but that would be a problem to

:33:31. > :33:45.Judd. He can make that quite easily. He is just a bit high on this black.

:33:46. > :33:51.You did say that Judd Trump would come out and be aggressive in this

:33:52. > :33:58.decider, Dominic Ball stop there is another demonstration. How's your

:33:59. > :34:08.luck? One has gone straight back. That is awkward. The cue ball goes

:34:09. > :34:13.to the blue. The blue would have to be a dead straight pot for it to be

:34:14. > :34:20.makeable from such close range. I think the green is a favourite. Goes

:34:21. > :34:35.for the yellow instead. Both very similar box. -- pots. So, Gary --

:34:36. > :34:37.Barry does get back to the table and there is a red behind the pink that

:34:38. > :34:52.could go. Judd Trump breaking down on 32.

:34:53. > :34:59.Looked so good when he was at the table. Is that going to be the

:35:00. > :35:05.definitive mistake which allows Barry Hawkins to move into the

:35:06. > :36:02.semifinals? APPLAUSE

:36:03. > :36:10.You can argue he was slightly unlucky with where the cue ball

:36:11. > :36:19.ended up, right beside the blue, but that was a mistake and it could lead

:36:20. > :36:22.to the end of the road as far as the Welsh Open as concern for Judd

:36:23. > :36:30.Trump. The reds, separated nicely for Barry Hawkins. A really

:36:31. > :36:43.positive, aggressive start to this frame from Judd Trump, but if Barry

:36:44. > :36:49.Hawkins manages to get over the line here it will continue a run of

:36:50. > :36:56.victorious matches which stretches back to the world Grand Prix in

:36:57. > :37:03.Preston. He really is in a rich vein of form. They say winning is a

:37:04. > :37:09.habit. It looks as though that is the case for Barry Hawkins, here.

:37:10. > :37:17.Oh, my goodness me! He cannot believe that. A little wry smile. It

:37:18. > :37:20.looked so good for Barry Hawkins. Yet more drama in this decider. Two

:37:21. > :37:41.points in it. All to play for. Dominic King, I can't believe my

:37:42. > :37:48.eyes. Yes, just pure pressure, I'm afraid. Both these players want to

:37:49. > :37:54.win this match so badly. There was not a lot of room past the green but

:37:55. > :38:03.it wasn't a problem for Judd, it was just pressure. Barry Hawkins back

:38:04. > :38:09.now and can't believe his luck. That has got the ball rolling again with

:38:10. > :38:14.that first red. The busy session of these remaining reds, there's only

:38:15. > :38:20.one of them an ideal position but he will do well to close out the match

:38:21. > :38:29.from here. He's going to have to play a lot of positional shots.

:38:30. > :38:42.That was the mess that allowed Judd Trump back in. -- miss. Surely, he

:38:43. > :38:49.didn't think he was going to get back to the table, having presented

:38:50. > :38:56.Trump with the opportunity. Syncing that red to top right. Shows you how

:38:57. > :38:59.much these two PLAYERS care about the sport, despite the fact that

:39:00. > :39:10.they have won many events and matches over the last decade, this

:39:11. > :39:14.is still so tight. This is where the work begins for Barry Hawkins. All

:39:15. > :39:24.three remaining reds are slightly tricky.

:39:25. > :39:33.And he's going to need them all. The first problem dealt with. Just going

:39:34. > :39:34.to try and stun the cue ball up between those two reds to give

:39:35. > :39:53.himself a choice of them. OK. Not bad. To the yellow pocket,

:39:54. > :39:56.the red, would be his next intention but being left-handed, it is going

:39:57. > :40:02.to be really awkward with the rest. I don't think he is straight enough

:40:03. > :40:11.on it to screw across the baulk line for the baulk covers. Probably

:40:12. > :40:19.brown, I would suggest. This, under pressure, is missable. And he gets a

:40:20. > :40:35.huge kick, as well! As soon as he was up off that shot,

:40:36. > :40:49.Barry Hawkins was asking the referee to clean the cue ball.

:40:50. > :41:01.Not a straightforward positional shot to get on this remaining red.

:41:02. > :41:07.He got some action on that cue ball. Does this red past the brown? I

:41:08. > :41:09.don't think it does. There you go. I think it is end of break. And Judd

:41:10. > :41:33.will have another opportunity. 25 behind. That one red still on. 35

:41:34. > :41:41.available. This is going right down to the wire. What a brilliant

:41:42. > :41:49.contest. We are not far off two and a half hours in this match. Judd

:41:50. > :41:55.Trump, leading 3-1, Barry, storming back to 4-3. Trump forcing the

:41:56. > :42:03.decider. We have had a little bit of everything. I'm sure that Barry is

:42:04. > :42:07.not thinking of trying to cut this red back across to the right centre

:42:08. > :42:12.pocket. It is an easy snooker to leave. I think he's going to try to

:42:13. > :42:20.put the cue ball in behind the yellow, here. No. He's frightened

:42:21. > :42:27.that if he doesn't get the snooker behind the yellow you might be

:42:28. > :42:29.leaving the pot on for the red. You can really make a hash of this if

:42:30. > :42:44.you are not really decisive. He spent a minute and a half

:42:45. > :42:52.thinking about that shot. He's still not certain. Whether it was the

:42:53. > :43:04.right choice. But he has made it awkward for Judd. Miss will be happy

:43:05. > :43:12.with that but there could be a cross double shot the nothing on here for

:43:13. > :43:20.Barry, trying to double this into the left-hand corner. Not quite. Has

:43:21. > :43:33.he got a snooker? Hassey got in behind the brown? -- has he. He has.

:43:34. > :43:48.Can Judd swerve past the brown and Mr Cannon on the blue, to hit the

:43:49. > :43:57.red? -- miss the cannon. Is that in? Oh, my word! Water moment for Lady

:43:58. > :44:09.luck to give you a bit of assistance. Gusts from the crowd. He

:44:10. > :44:18.went white as a sheet when he saw that red going in, but does the blue

:44:19. > :44:21.pass the yellow? Fortunately for Barry, the blue will not pass the

:44:22. > :44:25.yellow soon unless Judd wants to take on a risky green he will have

:44:26. > :44:30.two roll up to the blue and get the snooker, and play another type of

:44:31. > :44:40.snooker. He is left-handed so rolling up to the blue should be

:44:41. > :44:50.easy. 24 points behind, as you see, there, but still, 27 remain, and

:44:51. > :44:57.given the position of these colours even though there is a great deal of

:44:58. > :45:03.pressure on both these players now. This is what makes snooker so great

:45:04. > :45:07.to watch. My palms are getting sweaty just sitting in the

:45:08. > :45:12.commentary box! Such a big investment of effort here from both

:45:13. > :45:26.players. APPLAUSE

:45:27. > :45:32.A dream result for Barry. That is all you want when you are escaping

:45:33. > :45:38.from a snooker. He has got to hit this yellow absolutely perfectly

:45:39. > :45:45.here. He got the double-kiss, and I think he has left the yellow aunt.

:45:46. > :45:49.But it's not as easy as it looks. I fancy Barry to get it. It's a lot

:45:50. > :46:01.harder than it looks on your screens.

:46:02. > :46:15.How did it stay out? How did the yellow stay out?! No one in the

:46:16. > :46:20.arena can believe it! Water stay of execution there, for Judd Trump. I

:46:21. > :46:27.will tell you how he missed that yellow, he played a stunned the shot

:46:28. > :46:39.and some of the spin forced the yellow slightly thin and the pace

:46:40. > :46:48.kept it out. Wow! They have really taken this all the way to the wire.

:46:49. > :47:06.Judd Trump needs everything here. What a way for this match to edge

:47:07. > :47:12.towards the climax. Two of the very best in the world. And it has come

:47:13. > :47:21.down to the black. This, for a place in the semifinals for Judd Trump.

:47:22. > :47:27.And it's there. So much drama, so many opportunities for both men. A

:47:28. > :47:31.really great contest. One or two, standing to applaud. The winning run

:47:32. > :47:38.comes to learning for Barry Hawkins and, by the skin of his steed, Judd

:47:39. > :47:44.Trump is into the open semifinals. -- skin of his teeth. Before the

:47:45. > :47:48.interval I was OK, after it I did not feel that good and he started to

:47:49. > :47:52.play quite well. And then I missed my chances in the last round to go

:47:53. > :47:57.with the rest and I was thinking that it, then he has missed, then I

:47:58. > :48:01.missed an easy ball when I got in again and I was thinking it was all

:48:02. > :48:06.over then some crazy things happened and he has ended up leaving me

:48:07. > :48:11.perfect on the yellow. Just a lot of luck involved, really. The past few

:48:12. > :48:14.tournaments I have played well and not padded and this one I have not

:48:15. > :48:19.played as well and got a bit of luck, so that has been nice. His

:48:20. > :48:26.semifinal opponent is a man that you would have tipped, world number 77

:48:27. > :48:33.Scott Donaldson, who thrashed Chinese youngster Zhou Yuelong 5-0.

:48:34. > :48:38.My safety was good all day. I didn't give him many chances. I don't know,

:48:39. > :48:46.I just won the game, I'm happy to win. Confirmation, then, of the

:48:47. > :48:50.semifinal line-up for 2017. World number for Judd Trump against Scott

:48:51. > :48:53.Donaldson in his first ever ranking event semifinal and world number two

:48:54. > :48:59.Stuart Bingham against Robert Milkins who has made the Welsh Open

:49:00. > :49:03.semifinals for the first time. They are getting ready for semifinals day

:49:04. > :49:09.here at the motor point Arena. All eyes are on the one table now. We

:49:10. > :49:12.started the week with a body outside tables have gone and the atmosphere

:49:13. > :49:18.will be pretty special when play resumes in just over 12 hours' time.

:49:19. > :49:23.Why not spend your Saturday with us? We are underway from 1p in tomorrow

:49:24. > :49:28.when he will bring you the game between Trump and Donaldson. Who can

:49:29. > :49:30.book their spot in Sunday's will open final? Thanks for watching.

:49:31. > :49:38.From all of us, very good night. I've searched the world to find

:49:39. > :50:22.these extraordinary people. I woke up and I could suddenly

:50:23. > :50:30.just play the piano. The human body is unique

:50:31. > :50:36.within nature. And the most extraordinary people

:50:37. > :50:40.on the planet
