:00:37. > :00:43.I think standard wise it's probably their best season I've had.

:00:44. > :00:48.Consistently I've played well, only a couple of bad games all season.

:00:49. > :00:53.It's taken some unbelievable performances to beat me so I can't

:00:54. > :00:57.be too disheartened. I'm playing solid and hopefully a win will come.

:00:58. > :01:03.It would be nice to win here, it's close to home in Bristol. I get good

:01:04. > :01:08.support so it would be nice to get one here. The world number four

:01:09. > :01:13.waiting in the wings. Judd Trump coming at life this evening. Welcome

:01:14. > :01:16.back to the Welsh Open. Only 16 players remain and the big stars

:01:17. > :01:23.appear keen to go home as soon as possible. All but three of the top

:01:24. > :01:27.16 have gone and the world champion is the latest big-name casualty. Who

:01:28. > :01:32.would have seen this coming? World number one Mark Selby knocked out

:01:33. > :01:38.why a teenager who only turned pro two years ago. It was not a narrow

:01:39. > :01:42.win for Yan Bingtao from China. He lost the first frame but then never

:01:43. > :01:49.looked back. Four winning frames in a robe and a perfect way to spend

:01:50. > :01:55.his 17th birthday. A huge shock for Shelby. Just not good enough.

:01:56. > :01:59.Performed very poorly. I had chances in frames and didn't capitalise.

:02:00. > :02:04.He's been talked about for over a year, he's had a good season in his

:02:05. > :02:09.first season and showed what a great player he is today. He turned 17

:02:10. > :02:15.live on TV and held himself together well. From 128 players, we are down

:02:16. > :02:20.to the final 16 and this is the line-up. The only Welshman left in

:02:21. > :02:46.the tournament now is Lee Walker. Will Trump go through or will he

:02:47. > :02:49.become another one of the big stars to go home early? Let's find out

:02:50. > :02:57.more about his opponent this evening. I'm the first Iranians are

:02:58. > :03:03.fashionable. In front of my house when I was six years old, I saw

:03:04. > :03:08.something open in front of my house. I asked my dad what it was. He took

:03:09. > :03:14.my hand and we went to a snooker club and he showed me how to play.

:03:15. > :03:22.After two months I couldn't stop playing snooker. I just continued

:03:23. > :03:26.and continued. After a year I won my town tournament, then the county and

:03:27. > :03:31.then a national tournament. Professional for me was so hard and

:03:32. > :03:34.it is still hard. When you come from a different country, too much

:03:35. > :03:44.pressure is on you. You're travelling a lot, you need a Visa. I

:03:45. > :03:48.was 17 years old and I had to wait four years to come to the UK. If you

:03:49. > :03:53.want to win, you have to play good and solid and score heavily.

:03:54. > :03:57.Especially if you want to win a tournament, you have to score

:03:58. > :04:01.really, really heavy. It doesn't matter who you're playing, you have

:04:02. > :04:05.to see what you can do on the table. This is the most important thing.

:04:06. > :04:09.You don't have to see who you're playing. They are all good players,

:04:10. > :04:16.it doesn't matter who you play. You have to show what you can do. A big

:04:17. > :04:25.moment for Vafaei, 81st in the world. Trump at number four with six

:04:26. > :04:30.ranking titles. Trump a semifinalist here in 2013. Vafaei beat Ali Carter

:04:31. > :04:33.to earn this last 16 tie. They've only met once before in the

:04:34. > :04:40.international championship last year when Trump was the winner. It is

:04:41. > :04:46.time to get the last 16 underway. What will happen next in this most

:04:47. > :04:50.unpredictable of tournaments? Lets join the commentary team. Terry

:04:51. > :04:58.Griffiths and Rob Walker. Thanks, Ian. Good evening,

:04:59. > :05:02.everybody. In this topsy-turvy tournament, who would take any

:05:03. > :05:10.result for granted? Certainly Judd Trump will be on full alert. One of

:05:11. > :05:14.only three players in the top 30 in the world still in the tournament.

:05:15. > :05:24.He is keen to get things underway quickly. It's been an incredible

:05:25. > :05:31.week of shocks and upsets so far. Judd Trump, from his part, with wins

:05:32. > :05:36.over Andrew Higginson and Alex Borg and the young Welsh schoolboy

:05:37. > :05:41.Jackson page earlier today, has been on tiptop form. A couple of

:05:42. > :05:46.centuries against Higginson. Almost got one against Jackson page, but he

:05:47. > :05:51.closed the door on the young Welsh star of the future, who no doubt

:05:52. > :05:57.we'll have some fabulous days still to come. It was a steep learning

:05:58. > :06:02.curve for him against the world number four. As for Hossein, what a

:06:03. > :06:07.fantastic win he enjoyed over Ali Carter. Bearing in mind he is only

:06:08. > :06:12.produced seven centuries this season, but four of them have come

:06:13. > :06:18.here. Two in the second round against Christopher Keegan at two

:06:19. > :06:27.against Ali Carter. It finished off his 4-1 win with breaks of 126 and

:06:28. > :06:32.123. Of course he is the outsider, in theory, this match, but if you

:06:33. > :06:38.were watching Judd Trump perform last here in the Motorpoint Arena,

:06:39. > :06:42.you'll certainly no that's a 47-year-old Alex Borg from malt

:06:43. > :06:47.produced some fabulous snooker and made Trump work for the win. It all

:06:48. > :06:54.sounds pretty straightforward. Six time wracking event winner. Against

:06:55. > :07:02.the man from Iran who has wrestled Visa problems, amongst other things,

:07:03. > :07:11.this season. Brave to go for that one, but there is the first mistake.

:07:12. > :07:16.Judd coming back to the table. Trump is the favourite, but one or two

:07:17. > :07:19.outsiders have been in inspired form here in Cardiff. The young

:07:20. > :07:25.22-year-old Iranians will be hoping that will be the case for him over

:07:26. > :08:29.the next couple of hours. A place in the quarterfinals at stake.

:08:30. > :08:35.Terry, you've seen so much world-class snooker over the years,

:08:36. > :08:43.have you been surprised at just how many shocks and big seeds have gone

:08:44. > :08:52.out so far here? Yes, I think everybody is shocked. I don't mean

:08:53. > :08:57.the players can't beat each other, but the big underdog beating the

:08:58. > :09:10.seeds 4-0 and 4-1, it isn't as if they are tight matches. No obvious

:09:11. > :09:17.reason why. As you mentioned earlier off the mike, is there going to be a

:09:18. > :09:28.new champion this year? The top three are Trump and Stuart

:09:29. > :09:35.Bingham... Trump and Barry Hawkins. Has one of them gone to the final?

:09:36. > :09:43.Only Stuart Bingham, when he lost in the decider to Stephen Maguire. Judd

:09:44. > :09:52.hasn't made the final. One semi, one quarter. Not been rich pickings, the

:09:53. > :09:57.Welsh Open, so far in his young and very talented career, but he's

:09:58. > :09:59.looked so far -- so good so far this week. I hope I haven't just cursed

:10:00. > :10:56.him with that compliment. A little bit of an unexpected miss

:10:57. > :11:07.from Trump. The break finished a lot quicker than he thought it would at

:11:08. > :11:11.31. It won't be long before he's off again. Sometimes in a match he gets

:11:12. > :11:17.a great amount of big breaks in very quick time. That's why he's so

:11:18. > :11:51.popular with the public. Very good to watch playing.

:11:52. > :12:05.That looked nasty. The only reds he can see are the ones below the pink

:12:06. > :12:11.spot, nearest to the bottom cushion. He can see that read, but I can't

:12:12. > :12:20.see a way out for him. He may find a gap off the one towards the left

:12:21. > :12:43.with a very thin cut. Well played. Be glad to get out of that one.

:12:44. > :12:54.That will worry him a little bit. He missed that by a long way. About a

:12:55. > :13:01.foot to the pocket and he missed it by six inches. Very unusual. Of

:13:02. > :13:06.course, these top seeds are under a little bit of pressure. They are

:13:07. > :13:11.thinking, hold on a minute, the draw has opened up. We've heard that a

:13:12. > :13:13.few times, the draw has opened up. None of these other guys can play.

:13:14. > :13:45.Are you sure? A clear-cut chance here. He made a

:13:46. > :13:53.few centuries in his last match. Two against Carter. To finish that match

:13:54. > :14:01.4-1. Two centuries against Christopher Keegan as well. 103 and

:14:02. > :14:07.108. Four of his seven this season have come this week so he's in good

:14:08. > :14:16.form. Former world under 21 champion. His season got off to a

:14:17. > :14:20.slow start, he lost his first round matches in India at the World Open,

:14:21. > :14:25.the ball Hunter classic, the international championship and then

:14:26. > :14:32.the draw opened up nicely for him in Northern Ireland and he made the

:14:33. > :14:37.quarterfinals. Very handy ?10,000. It's an expensive business when

:14:38. > :14:42.you're flying over from Iran. He had a few Visa problems at the start of

:14:43. > :14:47.the season as well, which resulted in him having to withdraw from a

:14:48. > :14:50.couple of tournaments because the documentation wasn't prepared in

:14:51. > :15:00.time. But this has been a fabulous run. The last 16 and a chance to

:15:01. > :16:03.take on a six time ranking event winner, Judd Trump.

:16:04. > :16:13.This has been a good opportunity for Vafaei to get some time on the

:16:14. > :16:23.table. Under the bright lights. And under the pressure of taking on Judd

:16:24. > :16:29.Trump. He's also qualified for China. That will be just before the

:16:30. > :16:35.Crucible World Championships. The 40th addition of the worlds at the

:16:36. > :16:38.Crucible, that will be some celebration at the end of this

:16:39. > :16:43.season. A lot of people really looking forward to that. Such is the

:16:44. > :16:51.packed nature of the calibre, there's an awful lot of snooker to

:16:52. > :17:01.be played between now and Sheffield. -- the calendar. He'll be a little

:17:02. > :17:06.disappointed with that one. Wasn't a difficult pot. Perhaps he had his

:17:07. > :17:34.eye on the black too much. Wow, that's quick! I thought he

:17:35. > :17:47.wouldn't reach the blue when he hit that. Lightning fast, this cloth.

:17:48. > :17:48.Another two or three inches and he would have been nothing. A good

:17:49. > :18:04.chance now. Judd is 17 points in front. The reds

:18:05. > :18:15.look like they are all available, more or less. This could be at T1 if

:18:16. > :18:25.he gets this right. -- a tricky one. Good shot. He's got a tremendous

:18:26. > :18:35.amount of power. No reason why he can't go in and out of ball. Three

:18:36. > :18:43.or four cushions. Lots of top spin and running side. He could go to

:18:44. > :18:49.far! Great shot. We all know he can do those shots, but you've got to

:18:50. > :18:50.take into account having the judgment and pace perfect at that

:18:51. > :20:08.speed and that's what he's done. 35 in front, still 43 available. Two

:20:09. > :20:36.reds. Very surprised that Judd Trump

:20:37. > :20:43.didn't clinch this first frame in that visit. Unusual for him. Could

:20:44. > :20:50.be in a bit of trouble here. 35 points in front, but the colours are

:20:51. > :21:00.well set. Should he make a mistake here. Clever shot. Not an easy

:21:01. > :22:04.safety to get out of, that one. Half a chance there. Judd Trump can

:22:05. > :22:08.get past the yellow, possibly, to get to the potting angle on the

:22:09. > :22:12.Rhead. But he's not looking up there. What's he got on his mind

:22:13. > :22:32.now? -- That was ridiculous! It could win

:22:33. > :22:39.him the frame, though. It's great when you can pot that type of ball.

:22:40. > :23:00.Amazing vision and incredible skill. An unenviable position for Hossein

:23:01. > :23:04.Vafaei. Ref foul, Judd Trump six. He already needed a snooker and now the

:23:05. > :23:10.situation has got worse and Trump should wrap this up now.

:23:11. > :23:21.What a touch of magic from the cue of the world number four. That long

:23:22. > :23:28.read to the top left, absolutely superb. And the control on the cue

:23:29. > :23:31.ball. When he's clear and over the line in a frame, he treats the crowd

:23:32. > :23:41.to some exhibition snooker and that's what he's doing here. They

:23:42. > :23:48.can't all go in! He's coming back. You would think just to get a little

:23:49. > :23:50.bit of a feel for the table. That little break of 21, but the mistake

:23:51. > :24:18.was costly in the end. Didn't hit it hard enough. Likes a

:24:19. > :24:19.fancy shot, Trump. That red he potted that probably clinched the

:24:20. > :24:31.frame for him, it was 110. Frame conceded. Judd Trump is off to

:24:32. > :24:48.a good start in this match. (STUDIO) he played really well

:24:49. > :24:52.earlier against Jackson page and he's started positively again this

:24:53. > :24:57.evening. Just want to update you on what else is happening at the

:24:58. > :25:03.Motorpoint Arena. This is the end of the first frame on table two. The

:25:04. > :25:08.world number eight, Barry Hawkins, who won ranking title last weekend

:25:09. > :25:14.at the world Grand Prix, is against Craig Steadman. Hawkins one of only

:25:15. > :25:19.three of the world's top 16 left in the competition and he's going 1-0

:25:20. > :25:26.up with a really impressive break of 101. Great start for him. The winner

:25:27. > :25:32.of that match will play the winner of our game between Trump and

:25:33. > :25:37.Vafaei. Our guest this evening is Darren Morgan. Good evening. A

:25:38. > :25:41.strong and positive start from Trump, who's had a good day so far.

:25:42. > :25:49.Completely different. I commentated on him last night and he was nowhere

:25:50. > :25:55.near as sharp as he was this afternoon. It was a sharp start

:25:56. > :26:01.again there. But he did throw out a couple of little half cherries for

:26:02. > :26:05.Hossein and Hossein unfortunately didn't capitalise. Hossein Mr bad

:26:06. > :26:11.red in the middle of the frame into the left corner and he'll be keeping

:26:12. > :26:15.himself. A player of his standard, and the way he's playing, you would

:26:16. > :26:20.have expected him to get that. I like that, half cherries! It's an

:26:21. > :26:27.interesting back story with the struggle he had to get a Visa. He's

:26:28. > :26:31.making up for lost time. He won the world amateur about four years ago,

:26:32. > :26:39.beating Lee Walker in the final on the black. 9-8 on the black. When he

:26:40. > :26:43.won, he thought that's it, I'll be a professional. He just couldn't get a

:26:44. > :26:49.Visa and it's taken him four years of struggle to get hold of that Visa

:26:50. > :26:55.to allow him to play. He'll be back to break off in the second frame,

:26:56. > :27:06.trailing 1-0. Let's see how he report -- response. -- responds.

:27:07. > :27:18.Hossein Vafaei, one of the biggest matches of his career so far. He

:27:19. > :27:25.trails by a frame to Judd Trump. Only a break of 31 in that opening

:27:26. > :27:33.frame from this season's European Masters champion. But couple that

:27:34. > :27:39.with a few mistakes from the Iranians and that was enough for

:27:40. > :27:47.Judd to get over the line. Can Vafaei settle down in this match?

:27:48. > :27:52.Not with that kind of shot. Has done so well to get to the last 16 with a

:27:53. > :28:00.fabulous win over Ali Carter earlier today. These players having to come

:28:01. > :28:07.back to the table for a second time, such is the busy schedule of this

:28:08. > :28:12.Welsh Open now that we have the flat 128 draw. Cracking crowd tonight.

:28:13. > :28:18.One or two people coming in with a pint after that first frame, rushing

:28:19. > :28:26.in from work. Hopefully they'll be treated to a display of world-class

:28:27. > :28:29.snooker tonight. No yawning! I'm sure she'll wake up when the balls

:28:30. > :28:46.start flying in. From Judd Trump. Really good crowd here tonight.

:28:47. > :28:51.Still a big buzz around the story of the Jackson page making it to the

:28:52. > :28:55.last 32. Didn't manage to get a frame from Judd Trump. It made more

:28:56. > :29:07.than a few people sit up and take notice of his talent.

:29:08. > :29:21.A bit of run in that. He didn't play for the pink. Not a perfect angle

:29:22. > :29:24.for him. That's the trouble, when you're hitting at that pace and

:29:25. > :29:31.trying to get the key macro ball all the way round the table and back

:29:32. > :29:40.again. It makes potting a little more different. He missed quite a

:29:41. > :29:50.few. -- trying to get the cue ball. This is very ropey for Judd's

:29:51. > :29:53.standards. His opponent is looking a bit different from playing on the

:29:54. > :29:59.other tables, when he beat Ali Carter. He was on the match table,

:30:00. > :30:07.wasn't he? When he comes out here on the TV cable, it's a different ask.

:30:08. > :30:09.-- TV table. Especially against such a powerful opponent as Trump, who

:30:10. > :30:25.can be intimidating. Do you think sometimes, of course

:30:26. > :30:30.Judd is a hugely talented player, but his beguiling array of shots and

:30:31. > :30:36.the power with which he strikes the cue ball, do we sometimes get too

:30:37. > :30:41.impressed with certain breaks that you think might last a bit longer?

:30:42. > :30:46.Because he produces shots that other players don't produce, or don't have

:30:47. > :30:49.in their armoury, do we sometimes read too much into his former

:30:50. > :30:59.because he can change your mind about how a frame is going just by

:31:00. > :31:04.producing one magic moment? And he often does. Everybody thinks

:31:05. > :31:15.that Trump is probably the most exciting player on the circuit with

:31:16. > :31:17.his shot selection. The way he entertains, as you say. The public

:31:18. > :31:26.love the exhibition shop, and why not. -- exhibition shots. I'm still

:31:27. > :31:30.disappointed he has won the World Championships stock he carries

:31:31. > :31:34.himself well. He's a very popular player. He's got a lot going for him

:31:35. > :31:36.and certainly has the capability to win it. But they said that about

:31:37. > :32:13.Jimmy White has well. Hossein just sat with his head bent

:32:14. > :32:18.forward momentarily there, once he realised what Judd Trump had left

:32:19. > :32:20.him with. He looked like he had had the stuffing knocked out of him in

:32:21. > :32:48.the chair. Still struggling to work out his

:32:49. > :32:59.best way forward here. Hand on hip, shaking his head. Lovely story about

:33:00. > :33:01.how he fell in love with snooker. He's obviously had to do it the hard

:33:02. > :33:19.way. A very human reaction there! Those

:33:20. > :33:29.are the kinds of moments that crowds really respond to. Here he goes. Or

:33:30. > :33:32.maybe not! Well, he is hitting the white fat bottom cushion and down to

:33:33. > :33:44.the two reds to clear them off the pocket. -- hitting the white down to

:33:45. > :33:48.the bottom cushion. Not quite sure if you come play-off two cushions,

:33:49. > :33:54.go past the green and avoid the blue. This hardly any space there at

:33:55. > :34:00.all. -- there is hardly any space. He's just hitting this way with a

:34:01. > :34:11.bit of side and hoping for the best. He lay! He could do it. Oh! He

:34:12. > :34:20.didn't pot the red. But well done full is. I enjoy that. -- but well

:34:21. > :34:24.done. I enjoyed that. Si waited a minute and a half to take that shot,

:34:25. > :34:31.and it was worth it. Great response from the crowd as well. -- well, he

:34:32. > :34:34.waited a minute and a half. Such a knowledgeable audience in Cardiff,

:34:35. > :34:39.as they were when we were in Newport for this Welsh group. -- for this

:34:40. > :36:34.Welsh Open. What is he looking at here? It's

:36:35. > :36:45.normally a pot. Maybe a planned. Plant it is. The cue ball needs to

:36:46. > :36:49.slow down. It's OK. As usual, Trump gets down here to the black spot as

:36:50. > :37:01.quickly as possible. Pink is of the spot stop when he struck the red, it

:37:02. > :37:16.bounced up in the air. At least it went in. He lay! A dandy shot now.

:37:17. > :37:21.It's not fair. Did you ever try that in a match? I didn't go for pots a

:37:22. > :38:29.lot. Not a particularly quick match in

:38:30. > :38:37.these early stages. The 32nd minute here. It could be a long one. Judd

:38:38. > :38:41.and Alex were tired last night. They didn't get on to the table until

:38:42. > :38:45.nine o'clock. Almost approaching half past nine by the time they

:38:46. > :38:49.started their match. A much earlier finish for them tonight. There's

:38:50. > :38:59.another world-class much still to come on this table. -- world-class

:39:00. > :39:02.match. So could be a late finish for one or two here at the end of a day

:39:03. > :39:09.where everybody still in the tournament will have played two

:39:10. > :39:10.matches. Now Judd Trump is just beginning to find symbolism in this

:39:11. > :40:16.frame. -- to find some rhythm. Mind you, didn't clear up in the

:40:17. > :40:19.first frame when he had a few chances to clinch the frame. Looks

:40:20. > :40:24.like this one is quite straightforward from here. 50 point

:40:25. > :40:52.in front. 63 now with the blue. And just on frame four. -- frame

:40:53. > :41:00.ball. There's the little chink of an opening here for passing. -- there's

:41:01. > :41:04.the little chink of an opening here for her same

:41:05. > :41:23.a long, long way to come for this match. I've read, 63 behind.

:41:24. > :41:32.-- five red. He's OK and the black. Obviously, they would like it a

:41:33. > :41:40.little bit thicker. A good last position. Back to that read that

:41:41. > :41:45.Trump just missed. I looked at the replay. It didn't really bounce. I

:41:46. > :41:52.don't know if it had a kick. What he did do was deliberately kill very

:41:53. > :41:56.fast. I think the last few shots previous to that, he wasn't getting

:41:57. > :42:07.the normal spin. He was getting to the cue ball for some reason.

:42:08. > :42:18.If Judd Trump can't get spin on, nobody can! He's got to be careful.

:42:19. > :42:26.When he missed that round, he was very lucky that it was an easy read,

:42:27. > :42:37.although she potted it. But, no, they're all available. -- even

:42:38. > :42:52.though she potted it. That was a poor effort, I'm afraid. You just

:42:53. > :42:57.try to put the red safe. Left it on. Oh, not a good wobble. Didn't want

:42:58. > :43:05.to catch of that pocket. But couldn't really get the spin and to

:43:06. > :43:21.avoid it. -- get the spin on. He's got to get this. Very well done.

:43:22. > :43:58.A little bit of work to do left in this frame. This would be an

:43:59. > :44:04.incredible steel if he can finish it off. -- an incredible steal. You can

:44:05. > :44:08.see the problem that he's been having, that he's been playing on

:44:09. > :44:14.the outside tables all the way through the tournament. Then you

:44:15. > :44:19.come on this TV table. It's a lot faster, playing these touch shots.

:44:20. > :44:23.Just slightly out of position, and it's enough. I think he had a kick

:44:24. > :44:33.there. He missed that by a long way. He hasn't left anything on. Just

:44:34. > :44:36.seen that threw off its natural line. Contact between the cue ball

:44:37. > :45:00.and the red was not clean. I don't think Judd Trump can believe

:45:01. > :45:20.he did that. A lapse in concentration, Terry? I

:45:21. > :45:24.don't think he is himself at the moment. You know, the first frame

:45:25. > :45:30.wasn't great. He had a clear-cut chance here to win the match. Sorry,

:45:31. > :45:41.the second frame, and go 2-0 up in the match. He's up there with the

:45:42. > :45:47.very best of clinching at the end of a frame will stop when there, he's

:45:48. > :45:50.very good out there. -- clinching at the end of a frame. When there's

:45:51. > :46:05.opportunities there, he's very good. Kanieska of Poland, trying to

:46:06. > :46:09.replace the cue ball. Exactly where it needs to be. She's got to use the

:46:10. > :46:39.monitor, which is why they were looking down behind the table.

:46:40. > :46:58.She is saying to Judd but she believes it's in the right position,

:46:59. > :47:01.the cue ball. -- that she believes. So that's where it was. With our

:47:02. > :47:29.benefits of technology. Judd still feels it's not quite

:47:30. > :47:35.perfectly positioned. So this is what... That was the freeze-frame of

:47:36. > :47:47.the shot just before Trump shot the cue ball. That's where we are now.

:47:48. > :47:54.Millimetres in it, but millimetres can be important in this sport. Why

:47:55. > :48:01.don't you just roll off the side cushion to the road. -- to the red.

:48:02. > :49:36.He plays a gentle. That's all he's doing anyway.

:49:37. > :49:47.The referee will replace the cue ball game. It's a bit more

:49:48. > :49:55.straightforward this time. -- replace the cue ball again. He

:49:56. > :50:02.doesn't think it's been replaced in the right place. I mean, it is a

:50:03. > :50:06.good help for the referee. But on the other hand, they've got this

:50:07. > :50:11.monitor to look at. They don't really need it. They do it for the

:50:12. > :50:19.right reasons, the players. Got it this time. How many times have we

:50:20. > :50:23.seen players helping the revelry and being at a disadvantage by telling

:50:24. > :50:25.them to move it over that way, then they want a different shot? --

:50:26. > :50:54.helping the referee. Snooker needed for the 22-year-old

:50:55. > :51:52.Iranians. Relatively quick first frame. This

:51:53. > :51:59.second one is taking a while. Three quarters of an hour now. By this

:52:00. > :52:04.time against Jackson Page, the match was all but over. And here we are -

:52:05. > :52:12.win next to complete the second frame. -- we are yet to complete the

:52:13. > :52:17.second frame. End hasn't come about through the slow playing. It's just

:52:18. > :52:31.that neither player is taking their chances. It happens sometimes.

:52:32. > :52:43.A little awkward. Could have gone wrong. Can he get behind this black?

:52:44. > :53:05., You bet! A more difficult shot here. He's

:53:06. > :53:16.safe, of course. 38 points in front. A 21 four point penalty needed. Oh,

:53:17. > :53:29.he's left the red. Pupils are well set. -- the balls are really well

:53:30. > :53:32.set. He's been given another chance. So he can do this. But will his

:53:33. > :53:43.nerves hold? A little wobble there on its way

:53:44. > :54:11.down. I can't believe that. He left the

:54:12. > :54:22.white around the blue line across the table. Even further down. Played

:54:23. > :54:25.another good snooker. He can only tie at the moment. But Trump is in

:54:26. > :54:48.more trouble here. Breaking down on frame ball. Break a

:54:49. > :54:57.56, could potentially prove quite costly for the world number four.

:54:58. > :55:04.Before that shot, Hossein could only tie in force a respot. And now if he

:55:05. > :55:18.can clear the colours, he can win the frame.

:55:19. > :55:24.81st in the world rankings, but he's giving his opponent plenty to think

:55:25. > :55:28.about here in the early stages of this match. Remember, he made the

:55:29. > :55:35.quarterfinals in Northern Ireland late last year. So he has got the

:55:36. > :55:52.experience of getting on a decent run in the big tournaments. He had a

:55:53. > :55:59.big area to cover. Two brown and green down the line -- blue, brown

:56:00. > :56:20.and green all down the line. He's potted it. It's not perfectly on the

:56:21. > :56:25.green. Always miss the ball. He's 25 points in front, though. Six colours

:56:26. > :57:37.to tie for Hossein. If this goes behind the black, it's

:57:38. > :57:48.going to be tough. He's got it there! He's played a few good shots

:57:49. > :57:59.to get snooker here in this room, he's hanging on, but he's still

:58:00. > :58:04.there. Good hit. Just a matter now of whether he can avoid the pink.

:58:05. > :58:26.Pot this Green in the centre. You may have noticed the fight was

:58:27. > :58:32.on a 43 therefore knocking in the green. There was a discrepancy when

:58:33. > :58:42.the referee called the foul on the pink.

:58:43. > :58:46.STUDIO: Well, we are going to have to leave it there. Our time is up

:58:47. > :58:51.here on BBC Wales. We will show you what happens on our highlights

:58:52. > :58:55.programme later, plus Stuart Bingham's game against Robbie
