:00:30. > :00:35.Good Evening, We Have Not Reached The End Of Round One Yet But The Big
:00:36. > :00:40.Shocks Keep Coming, Another Former World Champion And A Top Welsh
:00:41. > :00:47.Player Out Of The Competition. . It has been another thrilling afternoon
:00:48. > :00:55.at the 2017 Welsh Open. I love playing in Cardiff, love the Welsh
:00:56. > :01:04.fans, so happy to be back. It is a tough draw for anyone.
:01:05. > :01:14.I practise with him and I know how good he is. I know I have a big
:01:15. > :01:19.match on my hands will stop but we both struggled a bit. I think
:01:20. > :01:25.playing in Wales, you play your mates, it is never easy, but
:01:26. > :01:36.hopefully I have produced some good form. I had Tyler, which is wild
:01:37. > :01:43.card, a young player. But he really put me under pressure and it could
:01:44. > :01:49.have been a lot closer than 4-1. I thought he played great for his
:01:50. > :01:56.press time. -- first time. I would say it is the best when I have had.
:01:57. > :02:05.With being on TV as well. Friends, family and a lot of people watching.
:02:06. > :02:11.My son is four years old today. I think he could give me a good game.
:02:12. > :02:15.That is how bad I really was! Massive disappointment for Mark
:02:16. > :02:20.Williams, and all of those fans who follow his progress each year. Two
:02:21. > :02:24.other Welsh players have gone today. David John losing to marketing.
:02:25. > :02:31.Gareth Alun beaten by debutant Wang Yuchen. Marco Fu beating Martin
:02:32. > :02:35.Gould. In which open winner Liang Wenbo into round two. An Joe Perry,
:02:36. > :02:39.the runner-up at the Masters last month, knocked out by Anthony
:02:40. > :02:44.McGill. And Mark Allen, another semifinalist here last year, marches
:02:45. > :02:49.on after a 4-0 win over Sydney Wilson today.
:02:50. > :02:54.So, a very warm welcome to our Tuesday night programme. Aaron
:02:55. > :02:58.Mauger is our guest tonight. You commentate it on Mark Williams. --
:02:59. > :03:00.Darren Morgan. He was brutally honest, he said he embarrassed
:03:01. > :03:06.himself, doesn't know why he is anywhere near the top, what went
:03:07. > :03:11.wrong for him today? He was just not at the races. But he is such a
:03:12. > :03:13.fantastic player and I know he has been putting the work in and he has
:03:14. > :03:19.been playing great in practice. He has been showing a certain form in
:03:20. > :03:23.certain events and matches anyway. Then he is having the odd match
:03:24. > :03:27.where he calls it a stinker and he cannot understand what it is, and
:03:28. > :03:32.today for him, by his standards, it was a bit of a stinker. Not to take
:03:33. > :03:36.anything away from Elliot, because he played really well, but that was
:03:37. > :03:41.not marked today, he was miles off his game. Was it as bad as he
:03:42. > :03:47.suggested? Because he did come back from 3-1 to level. He has probably
:03:48. > :03:54.been really hard on himself. It probably was not as bad as he
:03:55. > :03:59.thinks. Setting there were sitting in the commentary box, being a
:04:00. > :04:04.Welshman, we wanted him to win, it was frustrating, because you know
:04:05. > :04:08.how good he is. When you see the other players around who are winning
:04:09. > :04:12.and you know he is still every bit as good if not better than them, it
:04:13. > :04:15.is frustrating that someone of his calibre is struggling. Matthew
:04:16. > :04:19.Stevens were yesterday and Mark today so the next generation, the
:04:20. > :04:24.likes of Jimmy Jones or Michael White, they have to step up and show
:04:25. > :04:29.they can do it. -- Jamie Jones. Jamie Jones is coming back to form,
:04:30. > :04:31.he has couple of good results recently and Michael White winning
:04:32. > :04:37.the shoot out and going on and winning his maiden event a couple of
:04:38. > :04:41.years ago, but again, great players, and they are still young men. They
:04:42. > :04:45.have got great futures ahead of them. But there is a couple of
:04:46. > :04:50.others as well, a young man playing tonight, Daniel Wells, very capable
:04:51. > :04:55.players, works very hard at his game. He has a terrific future. We
:04:56. > :04:59.will see how they get on throughout the tournament but as for this
:05:00. > :05:05.evening, well, one of the big stars of the modern game, Judd Trump for
:05:06. > :05:07.you this evening. Let me show you how the measures up against his
:05:08. > :05:19.first round opponent, Andrew Higginson.
:05:20. > :05:26.Trump was a semifinalist here in 2013, Higgins a runner-up in 2007.
:05:27. > :05:31.So time to get the players out for this evening's action. It is Judd
:05:32. > :05:35.Trump against Andrew Higginson. Let's join our commentary team.
:05:36. > :05:48.Terry Griffiths and Rob Walker. Thanks very much. Good evening,
:05:49. > :05:57.everybody. A nice ripple of applause. Remember, there is play
:05:58. > :06:00.under way already on the tables so that is why the players were
:06:01. > :06:04.cautious as they emerged, here on table one. Another good crowd
:06:05. > :06:10.tonight here at the Motorpoint Arena, and this man is one reason
:06:11. > :06:15.why so many have turned out. One of the most exciting players of his
:06:16. > :06:24.generation. Robert Spencer wishing both Manuel. -- both men well. Judd
:06:25. > :06:31.is number four in the world, but it has been a mixed season, for this
:06:32. > :06:36.highly talented long pot and six time ranking event winner. Added to
:06:37. > :06:43.his collection earlier this season, beating Ronnie 9-8 in the Masters,
:06:44. > :06:48.but he has had quite a few early exits. He has gone on record earlier
:06:49. > :06:53.this season and said that he feels he is playing quite consistent
:06:54. > :06:57.snooker, but that ever were not realised -- everyone else realises
:06:58. > :07:00.they have got to raise their game, and on many occasions they have done
:07:01. > :07:07.just that. So Judd will be looking for a big run at a tournament just
:07:08. > :07:13.like this. But he will have to beat Andrew Higginson, a man who will be
:07:14. > :07:20.familiar with those who followed some of the great Welsh finals.
:07:21. > :07:31.But Higginson took part in an epic final in 2007, losing out to Neil
:07:32. > :07:38.Robertson. So he has got for and previous here. -- format.
:07:39. > :07:49.But the early error, he was miles away with that red. And that has
:07:50. > :07:52.done the damage. Just as we said it looked as though Judd may have an
:07:53. > :07:56.opportunity, to get a big early score on the board. He has missed a
:07:57. > :08:08.fairly simple ball. Well, we saw some uncharacteristic
:08:09. > :08:13.errors from Ronnie O'Sullivan earlier this afternoon, and from Tom
:08:14. > :08:17.Ford. Tom Ford took the first frame, then Ronnie got some momentum
:08:18. > :08:22.together. But we have seen some nervy exchanges in the early frames
:08:23. > :08:33.of a couple of these matches here today. It looks set to continue.
:08:34. > :08:39.Even the top seeds get nervous when they go out there for their first
:08:40. > :08:43.game. You have got to settle down a bit.
:08:44. > :08:58.You just feel that there is pressure on these properties to win these
:08:59. > :09:06.games. It gets tough for them. One thing they do is they recover
:09:07. > :09:13.quickly from bad frames and bad shots.
:09:14. > :09:23.Is that as much down to their mental strength is their ability on the
:09:24. > :09:28.table? Well, ability obviously, they have all got ability, the truth of
:09:29. > :09:30.it is, they are all human, they are going to have nerves, something more
:09:31. > :09:39.than others, for no reason at all. Andrew Higginson is a handful when
:09:40. > :10:53.he is playing well. Got the makings of a good break,
:10:54. > :11:04.this. After a couple of early misses.
:11:05. > :11:16.As well as winning the European Masters, Judd was runner-up to Liang
:11:17. > :11:21.Wenbo in the English Open final. Semis in Scotland are losing to
:11:22. > :11:28.Higgins in a decider. So he has had a reasonably good season. But he has
:11:29. > :11:38.also had a few uncharacteristic early excerpts. -- exits. That shock
:11:39. > :11:41.result of the UK championship when Oliver and Peter lines managed to
:11:42. > :11:52.make it through to the third round. Oliver not jut out. -- knocked Judd
:11:53. > :12:31.out. He is not used to extinct major tournaments that early. -- exiting.
:12:32. > :12:36.What I like about Judd Trump is that he has a presence out there and you
:12:37. > :12:40.know when he comes out, he is one of these players that can hit you hard
:12:41. > :12:47.very quickly and never stop hitting you in a match. I love watching him
:12:48. > :12:53.play. He is an exceptional player. He has got so much power, great
:12:54. > :12:58.touch. Works very hard on his game. But I'm sure, like many other
:12:59. > :13:01.players, he is a little bit disappointed he hasn't won the world
:13:02. > :13:05.champ edge of yet, but there is no doubt he has the talent to do that,
:13:06. > :13:18.he may well do it this year, who knows? If you cast your mind back to
:13:19. > :13:24.that amazing final in 2011 between Janet and John Higgins, the noise
:13:25. > :13:31.when they came out -- Judd, on the Monday night, it was absolutely
:13:32. > :13:40.incredible. Just a little bit of luck helping him along the way.
:13:41. > :13:50.We do still have a potential century break to open things up. That was a
:13:51. > :13:55.great year for Judd in 2011. People in snooker had heard of him long
:13:56. > :13:59.before that year, but as far as the public were concerned, he won in
:14:00. > :14:05.China, then stormed to the World Championship final. He was the first
:14:06. > :14:16.of that generation of players to start doing things like tweeting. In
:14:17. > :14:26.mid-session interval is. He really captured the imagination of the
:14:27. > :14:30.public. And courtesy of that run down the cushion to the yellow
:14:31. > :14:37.pocket, he has indeed started with a century break. And he finished off
:14:38. > :14:38.2011 with that fantastic UK championship final against Mark
:14:39. > :14:50.Allen. So, Judd Trump is up and running
:14:51. > :15:05.here with a century, good start from the favourite.
:15:06. > :15:17.Chocolate. Has to be chocolate. Leonardo DiCaprio. He is a great
:15:18. > :15:22.actor. Also Ben Affleck. There was a time in a local league game when I
:15:23. > :15:27.beat someone, he must of been about 40 and I was about six or seven at
:15:28. > :15:37.the time. He ended up snapping his cue after I beat him. I am quite
:15:38. > :15:42.patient. And also quite relaxed. Quite a bad loser. It takes me a
:15:43. > :15:50.while to get over some losses it takes me a day or two to get it. --
:15:51. > :15:56.get over it. Prawn tempera. Maybe David Beckham, possibly, or maybe,
:15:57. > :16:03.McGregor would be a bit intimidating but normally I am OK. I am the best
:16:04. > :16:06.driver in the world, I think. I haven't really paid much attention
:16:07. > :16:10.to what has happened in the past. I like to go forward 50 years and see
:16:11. > :16:14.what is happening. Probably by the beach in LA, out with friends at
:16:15. > :16:26.night, I think. Well, good to see there are still a
:16:27. > :16:33.few people he would be starstruck around. Floyd Mayweather might be
:16:34. > :16:49.the greatest pound for pound boxer in history.
:16:50. > :16:57.Robert Spencer having a bit of banter with Andrew Higginson. The
:16:58. > :17:03.former Welsh Open finalist keen to get this second frame underway.
:17:04. > :17:18.Right, OK. A little smile from Andrew. Andrew Higginson to break.
:17:19. > :17:28.Andrew had a good run from the last 16 of the European Masters. Before
:17:29. > :17:33.losing to Judd Trump. Judd went on to the final and beat Ronnie 9-8. He
:17:34. > :17:39.has had a couple of good scalps, Andrew Higginson.
:17:40. > :17:50.Been around a long time, the Widnes warrior.
:17:51. > :17:58.He has recorded two victories over Judd, but they were quite a long
:17:59. > :18:04.time ago. The first was in 2009. The second two years later. Judd leads
:18:05. > :19:29.the head-to-heads 10-2 in total. Andrew Higginson having a look at
:19:30. > :19:47.that. Just to check he has got a way through.
:19:48. > :19:54.The blue landing pretty well for him on the brown spot.
:19:55. > :20:15.Halting his path -- plotting his path.
:20:16. > :20:24.Could just do without little bit of table time, Judd dominated that
:20:25. > :21:28.opening frame with the 102. Terry, even though Judd has 16
:21:29. > :21:32.ranking titles, has made a great contribution to the excitement of
:21:33. > :21:37.the sport over the last few years. Would you expected -- have expected
:21:38. > :21:40.him to have an even bigger impact on the sport since 2011, bearing in
:21:41. > :21:46.mind how dynamic it was when he burst onto the scene with those wins
:21:47. > :21:52.in China and the UK? Would you have expected more since then, overall?
:21:53. > :21:58.Well, yes, I thought he would have done better, he hasn't won the
:21:59. > :22:07.Masters, or the world, and there is not many people where you are seeing
:22:08. > :22:13.they can win those three, but Judd is in that bracket, no doubt about
:22:14. > :22:17.it. Ronnie O'Sullivan has got a great respect for him. He should be
:22:18. > :22:23.winning more events. I haven't seen Judd play a lot away from
:22:24. > :23:04.competition. But there is no doubt he is an exceptional player.
:23:05. > :23:31.Not much happening in this second frame so far.
:23:32. > :23:52.I think the result of pressure -- there is.
:23:53. > :24:24.It hasn't been a great campaign for himself. Quite a few exits in the
:24:25. > :24:30.second round. Germany, the UK, Northern Ireland. England and the
:24:31. > :24:39.World Open. Reader as well, going out in the last 64. -- reader. Then
:24:40. > :24:47.defeat Judd in the last 16 of the European Masters. -- to Judd. But we
:24:48. > :24:51.have certainly seen some interesting performances at various tournaments
:24:52. > :24:58.this year from players who themselves may have thought they had
:24:59. > :25:01.gone beyond their best days. If they can do it, there is no reason why
:25:02. > :25:06.the likes of the Widnes warrior cannot find a run of form in one of
:25:07. > :25:35.these tournaments. It has been a great season for unlikely winners.
:25:36. > :26:03.Very unfortunate. He put a bit too much spin on, not quite sure.
:26:04. > :26:08.He doesn't show much in the chair, does he? Not much emotions or
:26:09. > :26:22.anything else, just get on with it. He is very well behaved. That was a
:26:23. > :26:27.contrast to the match this afternoon where we saw plenty of demonstrative
:26:28. > :26:31.reactions from both Tom Ford and Ronnie O'Sullivan. Even Mark
:26:32. > :26:38.Williams, who is normally so cool and calm, slamming his cue into the
:26:39. > :26:40.carpet with frustration on a couple of occasions. It gets to the best of
:26:41. > :26:53.them! But that long pot, those were the
:26:54. > :26:55.kind of shots that make people sit up and take notice of him, six or
:26:56. > :28:10.seven years ago. I think he still got a read. But he
:28:11. > :28:17.would like to have been on a better angle than this. If he can plot the
:28:18. > :28:30.bottom of those two... Avoiding the reds. Getting a nice colour could be
:28:31. > :28:31.a little awkward. -- the next. He will take that. A little flick off
:28:32. > :28:57.the red. It goes into the corner. You feel he has to make chances like
:28:58. > :29:02.this count. Players that are quality of Judd Trump don't hand out too
:29:03. > :29:18.many chances to opponents. This is a cracking opportunity for
:29:19. > :29:25.Andrew just settle down into the match, get a feel for the table. Get
:29:26. > :29:33.a nice break on the board. Level things up in the early stages.
:29:34. > :29:47.Always good crowds here. Formerly at Newport, the leisure centre, now
:29:48. > :29:59.here in the heart of the capital in the Motorpoint Arena.
:30:00. > :30:03.You can see one or two people in the crowd having a look at, because
:30:04. > :30:22.there are so many tables in action. Andrew Higginson just working his
:30:23. > :31:20.way through these colours. It looked to me like the blur would
:31:21. > :31:33.have been a better option. -- blue. Very fast. A few of the players have
:31:34. > :31:38.said that, after coming off. Still more than enough available for Judd
:31:39. > :31:48.Trump to take this frame, should he be given another opportunity. 83
:31:49. > :31:55.still on. Seven reds. He is not sure about this.
:31:56. > :32:07.Changed his mind to call left middle.
:32:08. > :32:34.Deciding to work with the pink. That will do him just as well.
:32:35. > :32:45.Good effort. Some shops were tricky. He knows he has to do well in this
:32:46. > :33:04.match. Pink to middle left. He will leave
:33:05. > :33:44.Judd Trump requiring snookers. Nicely played, from the 2007 Welsh
:33:45. > :33:45.Open finalist. This is exactly what he needed, just to settle down into
:33:46. > :34:40.the match. It wasn't to be a century. That
:34:41. > :34:47.doesn't matter. Andrew Higginson has drawn level, one frame a piece.
:34:48. > :34:52.We have talked all day long about underdogs taking opportunities when
:34:53. > :34:56.they come along. Tom Ford could not do it against Ronnie O'Sullivan.
:34:57. > :35:01.Andrew Higginson taking his opportunity in that second frame
:35:02. > :35:11.against Judd Trump. Great performance. Terrific 100. Judd
:35:12. > :35:15.Trump was unfortunate in the second frame, potted a good red and it
:35:16. > :35:23.dragged off, so he could be snookered. As Terry said in
:35:24. > :35:28.commentary, there were some dodgy shots in the middle pocket. He
:35:29. > :35:36.played them very well. Take a look at this and talk us through it. He
:35:37. > :35:39.has absolutely nailed dress. Brilliant pot. Play that ten times
:35:40. > :35:46.again and you will miss the middle pocket. If it had come off the side
:35:47. > :35:54.real, he would have been perfect on the blue. Judd Trump is not easy to
:35:55. > :35:59.read. Interesting hearing the commentators talk about expectations
:36:00. > :36:03.on Judd Trump, since he made his big breakthrough. What does he have to
:36:04. > :36:11.do to be regarded as one of the greats of the game? Think is
:36:12. > :36:15.regarded as one of the greats. I mean an all-time great. Obviously,
:36:16. > :36:22.the World Championship and the Masters. What Judd Trump's trouble
:36:23. > :36:27.has been in the past is a little bit of inconsistency and maybe pushing
:36:28. > :36:33.the boat out a little too early to go for that one pot in the middle.
:36:34. > :36:37.He has a terrific safety game now. He is exciting to watch. Still
:36:38. > :36:44.bashes them in from everywhere. But there is an element node of safety
:36:45. > :36:47.to his game. It's not about how good you are when you play your a game,
:36:48. > :36:55.it's about how good you are when you play your the game.
:36:56. > :37:02.Andrew Higginson is a good player. It looked like he was going to win
:37:03. > :37:12.it in the past. He is a genuine professional. Looks pretty relaxed.
:37:13. > :37:21.Waiting for Judd Trump to take to the table. Very relaxed. First to
:37:22. > :37:29.four. All of a sudden, it is best of five. Judd Trump must play well.
:37:30. > :37:40.Both players have shown they are in good form. Back to the commentators,
:37:41. > :37:45.Terry Griffiths and Rob Walker. We couldn't quite work out what was
:37:46. > :37:49.tickling Andrew Higginson, when the referee was getting ready. He was
:37:50. > :37:59.looking into the crowd and chuckling. Spirits are good in his
:38:00. > :38:13.camp. That's for sure. As Darren Morgan just confirmed, one apiece.
:38:14. > :38:19.Subway we are best of five. -- suddenly.
:38:20. > :39:08.Think you might have been better with the red further upon the black.
:39:09. > :39:17.Everything to play. As usual, he doesn't take long to spread the reds
:39:18. > :39:25.all over the table. Giving himself a chance to take the frame in this
:39:26. > :39:36.visit. He is not hanging around, is he! Very confident, aggressive play
:39:37. > :39:38.from Judd Trump. Not only with the long potting but this splitting the
:39:39. > :40:06.pack. He is up for this. Didn't get the required spin on the.
:40:07. > :40:12.Felt a bit of a kick. Not many shots that Judd Trump cannot play. He has
:40:13. > :40:14.everything. Such extreme power. Probably as good as anybody in the
:40:15. > :41:57.game. There was something a little bit
:41:58. > :42:09.showbiz like about Judd Trump. Fashion, car as. A couple of years
:42:10. > :42:17.ago, the Masters, he had those funny shoes with the spikes. That is a
:42:18. > :42:24.pretty dapper piece of kit on the feet. But a very distinctive spiked
:42:25. > :42:34.shoes he wore at the Masters, suddenly everybody wanted a player.
:42:35. > :42:51.Cameramen focusing on that as he walked down the stairs. Mr pocket
:42:52. > :43:00.the wrong way. 52 points in front, still 83 left on the table.
:43:01. > :43:08.I think he was quite surprised he had done that. Obviously feeling in
:43:09. > :43:19.the mood to finish the frame in a single visit, it was certainly
:43:20. > :43:30.looking that way. That was a bad position all shocks. He has brought
:43:31. > :43:42.the red into play, but now he really has a tough pot. If he misses this,
:43:43. > :44:04.the frame has gone. Well done, sir. That might work in his favour.
:44:05. > :44:20.That was not missable. He will be disappointed with that. It is
:44:21. > :44:46.catching. Not easy. A good clearance from Andrew in the
:44:47. > :45:17.second frame. Some jittery moments in this third frame.
:45:18. > :45:40.Still plenty on here for Andrew. Despite Judd Trump's advantage. The
:45:41. > :45:44.reds will need some work. If he cannot get past the black for the
:45:45. > :45:53.right centre, he doesn't have anything to go at. A little
:45:54. > :46:00.unfortunate. The cue ball was going to be travelling fast down the
:46:01. > :46:07.table. It doesn't always one for you.
:46:08. > :46:19.Both players missing chances in this frame. More chances missed here than
:46:20. > :46:46.in the first two frames put together.
:46:47. > :46:53.A little wry smile from Andrew. He must've been watching that for a
:46:54. > :47:28.second so, wondering whether was going to drop.
:47:29. > :48:02.If the cue ball had been five inches from the cushion, he would have been
:48:03. > :48:23.taking this red on. But the safety from Andrew has stopped doing that.
:48:24. > :48:58.That could've been worse for Judd Trump.
:48:59. > :49:19.If the ball hits his waistcoat, that would've been a foul.
:49:20. > :49:33.Wasn't a positive delivery, it should be said.
:49:34. > :50:02.As only he can! An example of Judd Trump's brand of what he calls
:50:03. > :51:16.knotty snooker. -- naughty. Very thin cut. Once again, the
:51:17. > :51:18.chance has gone. You wouldn't expect a scrappy frame from these two, but
:51:19. > :51:46.sometimes the boil. Half a chance. He was concerned about his waistcoat
:51:47. > :51:56.on the brown. Surely Judd Trump will not need another invitation to
:51:57. > :52:03.finish this frame. First two were relatively freefalling after a few
:52:04. > :52:16.mistakes. At this has got a little bit scrappy.
:52:17. > :52:30.Judd Trump will be very happy to get to the end of this frame. It would
:52:31. > :52:43.be nice to keep this little mini break going.
:52:44. > :53:03.Trump special coming up here. Excellent!
:53:04. > :53:14.A little bit scrappy, that third frame, but it's gone to Judd Trump,
:53:15. > :53:20.who is now two away from the wind. So, trump back in front. Let's just
:53:21. > :53:25.move across the arena and dropping live to table two. Plenty more going
:53:26. > :53:30.on here in Cardiff this evening. This is Barry Hawkins, who won the
:53:31. > :53:38.world Grand Prix at the weekend. He's playing Scotland's Fraser
:53:39. > :53:44.Patrick. 1-1 at the moment. It has been a bit of a drug for Barry over
:53:45. > :53:54.the years, that victory on Sunday in Preston over the Welshman Ryan Day
:53:55. > :54:04.ended the drought. Anything you win, integrate. It's been a hard game for
:54:05. > :54:12.Barry, in the fact that he has just come back from having a massive
:54:13. > :54:18.crowd and the TV audience and now he is not on centre stage. He plays
:54:19. > :54:23.such a solid game. Is long game is good. When he gets in, he scores.
:54:24. > :54:29.That's probably the biggest improvement in his game. He now
:54:30. > :54:34.scored 20 gets on. Whereas before he was probably getting 50 or 60 and
:54:35. > :54:38.would miss the odd one. Now he's become a complete all-round player.
:54:39. > :54:44.I'm sure there's many more events to come. Third ranking title for Ross
:54:45. > :54:50.Hawkins at the weekend. He had an extra 24 hours rest computer Ryan
:54:51. > :54:58.Day who was quickly back in action. Yes, well he did win, you will have
:54:59. > :55:03.to give that. Ryan was a bit unfortunate that he had to play.
:55:04. > :55:11.Ryan was down to the afternoon which would've made it even worse. At
:55:12. > :55:16.least it gave him a bit of a break. Barry Hawkins had at the end a half
:55:17. > :55:24.off to gather his thoughts and get himself back up for the Welsh Open.
:55:25. > :55:30.1-1 between Ross Hawkins and Fraser Patrick. As for this one,
:55:31. > :55:40.interesting. Judd Trump has got the lead, despite a scrappy frame. Still
:55:41. > :55:45.hard to call. You would have to put him favourite. Both players had a
:55:46. > :55:54.couple of chances each in that game. He played a couple of the reds and
:55:55. > :55:59.if they had gone in a could've been 2-1 to him. He's not out of it yet.
:56:00. > :56:03.But he must win this next frame. Let's head back to Rob Walker and
:56:04. > :56:28.Terry Griffiths. Andrew needs to get back on level
:56:29. > :57:08.terms. Had his chances in that third frame, but couldn't take them.
:57:09. > :57:31.Almost a minute he has been contemplating the move here.
:57:32. > :57:58.He's been pretty good with that long pot success rate tonight.
:57:59. > :58:10.This is trump's 12 consecutive Welsh Open. Looks like this could be
:58:11. > :58:18.turning into a good opportunity here in this fourth frame. I remember
:58:19. > :58:36.Judd Trump coming here for the first time.
:58:37. > :58:43.Well, I'm afraid that is all we have time for this evening. We are back
:58:44. > :58:47.this evening at 11:15pm. We will show you how Mark Selby gets on in
:58:48. > :58:53.his first-round match this evening. We hope you can join us later on.
:58:54. > :59:00.For now, from all of us, are very good evening.
