:00:51. > :00:59.The World Championship was the girl for me. I'm hungry to get back
:01:00. > :01:04.there. Hello and good evening. Welcome the highlights of day four
:01:05. > :01:08.of the 2016 World Snooker Championship. Neil Robinson looking
:01:09. > :01:12.to join a number of other former world champions in the second round
:01:13. > :01:16.draw the ceiling. The Australian has fond memories of lifting the trophy
:01:17. > :01:23.in 2010 and watching the action from the Crucible as a youngster. I
:01:24. > :01:27.always used to have to wait for the video tapes. Someone in the UK would
:01:28. > :01:32.be recording the World Championships and then eventually, they would make
:01:33. > :01:39.their way over to Australia. It was always... The Stephen Hendry, Jimmy
:01:40. > :01:45.White finals. Those were a match as I grew up watching. The first visit
:01:46. > :01:49.was actually won the first year I qualified for the Crucible. I went
:01:50. > :01:54.down with their day early to just watch a match. Just being in there,
:01:55. > :01:58.watching it as a fan, if you like, was absolutely amazing. I've never
:01:59. > :02:06.been so nervous to walk down the stairs and to play Stephen Hendry. I
:02:07. > :02:09.said, don't trip or fall down those stairs! The whole city is buzzing.
:02:10. > :02:14.It's a really nice city. The first time I went there, it wasn't that
:02:15. > :02:17.great. They've made a lot of modern changes to the city and there's
:02:18. > :02:22.always a tremendous buzz around the city when the tournament was on as
:02:23. > :02:27.well. It is definitely the best time and best tournament to play in. The
:02:28. > :02:31.tournament gets dashed changes when it gets down to a one-table set-up.
:02:32. > :02:36.That is when the tournament opens up. The crowd is so knowledgeable as
:02:37. > :02:39.well. It's always a sell-out. It creates a brilliant atmosphere which
:02:40. > :02:43.in turn can create a lot of pressure as well but that is what I love
:02:44. > :02:49.about playing snooker. It's playing under pressure and playing in front
:02:50. > :02:53.of so many millions of people on TV, and a big crowd as well. The World
:02:54. > :02:57.Championship was the dream goal for me. It's always a very proud moment
:02:58. > :03:02.when I go back there and see myself on the Honours list. I see pictures
:03:03. > :03:06.of myself backstage, lifting the trophy. I had some really good runs
:03:07. > :03:09.in the tournament as well but I'm obviously really keen to get back to
:03:10. > :03:17.another final and hopefully win it again. But Robertson has a
:03:18. > :03:22.potentially tricky tie against Michael Holt, who has only made the
:03:23. > :03:27.second round on one previous occasion in 2005, against Steve
:03:28. > :03:32.Davis. He got off to a blistering start, ending in front. We pick up
:03:33. > :03:37.the action intake -- frame ten, the very first frame of the evening
:03:38. > :03:53.session. Thank you. Frame can. Michael Holt to break.
:03:54. > :03:59.Michael Holt gets the first session of this final dash first frame of
:04:00. > :04:04.this final session under way but that was not the break off he was
:04:05. > :04:08.looking for. He caught it too thick and was left uneasy starter for Neil
:04:09. > :04:27.Robertson. Played so well in the first session this morning.
:04:28. > :04:37.There is a tremendous atmosphere here tonight. A lot of people
:04:38. > :04:41.fancied Neil Robertson at the start of this tournament but they know he
:04:42. > :04:52.has got to produce the goods if he is to advance to the second round.
:04:53. > :05:40.He played that well. He judged the positional side perfectly.
:05:41. > :05:50.A good sign at the moment for Neil. Everything going right in the heart
:05:51. > :05:55.of the pocket. Still one loose read that he can play for, without cannon
:05:56. > :05:59.ink into the cluster and it's the type of shot... You would like to
:06:00. > :06:09.leave yourself low on the red so it to bring the other reds into play.
:06:10. > :06:18.And that looks about perfect. It's always a risk involved, of course,
:06:19. > :06:27.can you keep good control of the cue ball? But he should be OK. Couldn't
:06:28. > :06:31.have played much better. He may be a little bit disappointed he didn't
:06:32. > :06:32.bring more reds into play but he's got another three into the open, he
:06:33. > :06:53.can work on. Just checking to see where the pink
:06:54. > :06:56.will go after he's potted it. You will be playing for the pink, off
:06:57. > :07:09.this thread. As I say, there are two reds in the
:07:10. > :07:13.open, easy to get on, that he is going to have to get onto that
:07:14. > :07:19.cluster at some time, to clinch the frame at this visit. But this was
:07:20. > :07:24.just what he was looking for, a good start in the opening frame. And it
:07:25. > :07:40.was gifted to him, in all honesty. A poor break of shot from Michael.
:07:41. > :07:52.That has ruined his position. Just a straightforward shot, to road it
:07:53. > :07:58.through. Watch it bounce. Enough to take the pace out of the cue ball.
:07:59. > :08:11.Unless he takes on a very risky blue, it's the end of break.
:08:12. > :08:21.Well, it was risky. It was risky and the worst thing that could happen
:08:22. > :08:22.was the blue came down and opened up the cluster of reds. A double
:08:23. > :09:00.whammy. I think he just about who's on the
:09:01. > :09:09.blue. Maybe the pink goes as well but I think he played for the blue.
:09:10. > :09:12.Yes, I think the blue will be the choice because he has got all the
:09:13. > :09:33.pocket available for the pink. Quite an aggressive shot and it has
:09:34. > :09:37.worked out absolutely perfectly. So, that very risky blue that Neil
:09:38. > :09:44.Robertson went for could well cost him this first frame of the evening.
:09:45. > :09:49.Doesn't to play any more cannons. All the reds are in the open. The
:09:50. > :09:51.colours are on their spots. What a chance to get a full frame advantage
:09:52. > :10:39.over the number four. You see, I always believe you've got
:10:40. > :10:44.to get 90% or above. 93% for Michael Holt. When he was introduced
:10:45. > :10:49.tonight, Rob water got it right. The best performance... Can he keep it
:10:50. > :11:25.going? He's just gone slightly out of
:11:26. > :11:29.position there. OK, he's played the red to the left middle but he's got
:11:30. > :11:35.a little bit of work to do now with the cue ball. He has decided to play
:11:36. > :11:47.another red but this will be taking him out of the ball end.
:11:48. > :12:09.He has played it absolutely inch perfect.
:12:10. > :12:25.He is finding trouble here. Can he get past the pink? He is just on it.
:12:26. > :12:32.And that was an important road to get rid of because in porting the
:12:33. > :12:46.pink, he plays to the ones at the right middle.
:12:47. > :13:11.Decided to play for the blue. It's OK. He's got the right angle. He
:13:12. > :13:46.will be feeling it out there. Points, all square.
:13:47. > :13:53.Well, decided to go up purposely for a baulk colour. He will put the
:13:54. > :14:03.yellow and of course spotted again when it is re-spotted. It is hard to
:14:04. > :14:07.see a problem now. Neil Robertson was unlucky. He was going well but
:14:08. > :14:12.got a bad contact. Should he have pushed the boat out and gone for the
:14:13. > :14:18.blue? He will be thinking, maybe not now, because missing that blue looks
:14:19. > :14:24.also -- looks almost certain to have cost him the first frame of this
:14:25. > :14:56.important final session. Ten points, the lead. Green, brown, blue.
:14:57. > :15:00.Just roll the blue in and he goes 22 points in front, with just 13
:15:01. > :15:27.remaining. Played very well in the first
:15:28. > :15:33.session, did Michael Holt. He is still in that form. Neil Robertson
:15:34. > :15:38.will be disappointed. Should he have gone for the blue? It is history
:15:39. > :15:41.now. So the Hitman looking to take down
:15:42. > :15:48.Robertson but the Aussie pinched one back. We are going to show you what
:15:49. > :15:55.happened in frame 12. Robertson to play with a 44 point lead.
:15:56. > :16:06.Not that one. And this time, he has not got away with it. It shows you
:16:07. > :16:15.the difference, when you get the cue ball close to the question, how much
:16:16. > :16:23.more difficult it makes the pot. Michael Holt comes to the table 44
:16:24. > :16:27.points behind. First priority, reduce your arrears and get right
:16:28. > :16:39.back in the frame. Can't think about winning at this visit. Not yet.
:16:40. > :16:49.Still, a little bit short of pace there. Not certain where the pink
:16:50. > :16:56.will go once it has been re-spotted. He's had a look at the green but
:16:57. > :17:01.that is much too straight. Just wanted to be straight on this pink.
:17:02. > :17:25.It would have been so much easier to get position on the next red.
:17:26. > :17:40.Well, he has decided on the green. This is a big shot. This is a very
:17:41. > :17:43.big shot. Well, looking at his body language, the blue is covering the
:17:44. > :17:48.red near the corner. You thought if I pot the green, I will have a thin
:17:49. > :17:58.snake. There you see it, the blues in the way.
:17:59. > :18:05.Well, maybe there is a red near the pink spots include the left corner.
:18:06. > :18:13.It doesn't look as though all the pockets are available, as you can
:18:14. > :18:17.see. Oh, but there was enough. What a tremendous part that was. Needs a
:18:18. > :18:23.good kiss on the green. It could have been worse. It could have run
:18:24. > :18:29.past the green and it would have been nothing. What a good pot that
:18:30. > :18:33.was. This yellow sneaks in, I'm thinking he can avoid the kiss on
:18:34. > :18:44.the brown to get the cue ball up to this end of the table.
:18:45. > :18:49.He has looked at the blue. He has looked up the yellow. He is now
:18:50. > :19:20.looking at the green. Decision time. It is the yellow.
:19:21. > :19:25.Just got to be a little bit wary about the cue ball heading towards
:19:26. > :19:31.the right middle pocket here. He is trying to avoid the brown. Can he
:19:32. > :19:37.avoid the brown? Well, not really, but he has left himself a chance of
:19:38. > :19:41.this thin snake. The reason he didn't play it, he was worried about
:19:42. > :19:50.the right middle. So purposely screwed into the brown. He has left
:19:51. > :19:53.himself a chance at this thread. But when there is a thin potting angle,
:19:54. > :20:08.it's not guaranteed where the cue ball is going to finish.
:20:09. > :20:20.He will settle for that. He has finished nicely on the blue. Will he
:20:21. > :20:23.risk the cannon on those two reds that are together? If you could roll
:20:24. > :20:27.the blue in and play for one of those reds in the left middle, he
:20:28. > :20:37.would do, but he cannot do that. Will he play the cannon? Well, one
:20:38. > :21:17.of them in pots. It is a chance. Not an easy one.
:21:18. > :21:25.Held that nicely. The reason I say it is not an easy one, if the brown
:21:26. > :21:30.was on its spot, you would have a normal table to go at but that brown
:21:31. > :21:35.is in an awkward position. You don't want to be looking that far ahead.
:21:36. > :21:53.You just want to concentrate on the shots in front of you at the moment.
:21:54. > :21:57.Just looking to see if this red passes the black to the right
:21:58. > :22:34.corner. It looks as though it does. Decided to play for the black and I
:22:35. > :22:41.presume, when the black is re-spotted, it won't interfere with
:22:42. > :22:51.this red being available. And it doesn't. So, nine points behind now
:22:52. > :23:18.and the only problem ball I can see is the brown.
:23:19. > :23:26.Played it nicely. Now, he needs a good angle. He needs a good angle on
:23:27. > :23:33.the green. Then he can get down to the brown. Just one point behind.
:23:34. > :23:36.You will need up to and including the pink. Then he will be able to
:23:37. > :23:51.steal this very important frame. Doesn't want to be too straight on
:23:52. > :23:58.the screen. I'm surprised he played it like that. I thought he would
:23:59. > :24:02.leave himself a ball pot. He looks very straight and if you screw in
:24:03. > :24:08.back, you've got to be careful you don't screw back into the left
:24:09. > :24:26.middle. He is a little bit careless to leave himself the way he has.
:24:27. > :24:33.Now, if he pops the green and screws back, he will leave the cue ball
:24:34. > :24:55.where it is now. -- pops the green. People have a go at the brown.
:24:56. > :25:05.As you can see, no problem putting the green. He's got to bite the
:25:06. > :25:09.bullet here. Just leave yourself a shot at the brown. Don't risk
:25:10. > :25:24.screwing in-off or something silly like that.
:25:25. > :25:36.Well, there you go. Trying to get position on the brown, missed the
:25:37. > :25:47.green. What a mistake. And what a chance he has let go there.
:25:48. > :25:58.Having said that, what a poor shot that was from Neil Robertson.
:25:59. > :26:06.He thought long and hard about this. He was frightened about screwing off
:26:07. > :26:10.into the middle pocket. In the end, he tried to pot the green into a
:26:11. > :26:18.pocket that wasn't there. He's had a reprieve, because Neil Robertson has
:26:19. > :26:20.played a dreadful safety there. This green will pot and he's had a look
:26:21. > :26:43.at the potting angle. I can see that he has got it. The
:26:44. > :26:57.brown and blue will put in 13 points in front. With 13 remaining. Good
:26:58. > :27:02.pot. You feel he has got to play the brown into the middle. Surely it is
:27:03. > :27:06.a natural, just to drop it in. You've got to fully commit though,
:27:07. > :27:19.to this. This is a golden opportunity.
:27:20. > :27:39.Not perfect on the blue. The blue, as I say, will put him 13 points in
:27:40. > :27:43.front with 13 points remaining. He has got to fully commit to this.
:27:44. > :27:47.Neil Robertson played a very poor safety shot on the green, when he
:27:48. > :27:52.was given a let off. This is a natural to roll this in and come of
:27:53. > :28:03.this -- side question to the pink, under normal circumstances. Played
:28:04. > :28:07.it perfectly. In a frame that could have gone either way, it looked as
:28:08. > :28:13.though it was going to be Neil Robertson's for most of it. But it
:28:14. > :28:17.has slipped away and Michael Holt will be mighty relieved. Neil
:28:18. > :28:23.Robertson, really in bother now. The outsider, Michael Holt, leads the
:28:24. > :28:28.world number four by four frames. And Michael Holt edged even closer
:28:29. > :28:31.to victory, taking the next frame. Can Robertson find a way back into
:28:32. > :28:40.this one? Frame 14. It looks like he is trying to play
:28:41. > :28:47.three cushions and get into the pack. It's a decent effort. It's a
:28:48. > :28:58.bit wide. A fraction wide. A great try. Now, the situation Neil
:28:59. > :29:04.Robertson is in, when he gets these opportunities, he will be getting --
:29:05. > :29:08.looking to try and win the frame in one visit. When you are playing
:29:09. > :29:13.catch up like this, you don't want to be winning scrappy frames. You
:29:14. > :29:22.want to try and score heavily. But every shot now, there is that extra
:29:23. > :29:25.little bit of pressure on it. He's got to say, as we call it, no miss
:29:26. > :30:25.snooker. Thank you. Ideally you would have
:30:26. > :30:30.liked to be low on this black but he couldn't play the shot from the
:30:31. > :30:41.position he was in so he had to try going for the back cushion which is
:30:42. > :30:54.always harder. It is a lovely outcome. He got a lot of action on
:30:55. > :31:07.the cue ball. 23. Just the right side of the blue.
:31:08. > :31:12.Not wasting much time now, Neill, getting on with it and trying to
:31:13. > :31:23.make something happen. Trying to get a buzz on. 29. This is perfect. He
:31:24. > :31:31.can open up the pack here. A realistic frame-winning chance now.
:31:32. > :31:44.Split them nicely. It is really a case of one shot one frame at a time
:31:45. > :31:56.when you are in this position. It is no good looking at the scoreboard.
:31:57. > :32:02.Winning a couple of quick frames could slightly put the heat on
:32:03. > :32:36.Michael Holt. 37. Can you just clean the white,
:32:37. > :32:47.please? Sure. 34.
